0:00Hello and welcome to Episode 986 of the official Establish The Run podcast.
0:05My name is Adam Levitan. I am one of the co-founders here at ETR and it is time for the show you cannot live without, Market Monday.
0:15Each week, I examine the biggest risers and fallers in best ball ADP and discuss whether I'm buying or selling these players at their new prices.
0:25The idea is simple, give you an idea of how the market is thinking about players and also how I'm thinking about them.
0:34Reminder that if you want to use the best ball rankings that the guys who won both the DraftKings and Underdog Best
0:42Ball flagships last year, $2 million each, if you want to use those rankings, you need the ETR best ball product.
0:51Obviously, I'm biased, but the reason that all the sharpest people upload our rankings when they're drafting is because they know how
0:59hard we grind every shred of information to ensure those rankings are as accurate as possible.
1:05Our best ball product is just $60 and renews 365 days from your purchase date, so head to EstablishTheRun.com for details.
1:13Also, for my true grinders out there, if you're putting in volume, you should check out the Solver Draft Assistant as Sam
1:21Shepard, the DK winner, did last year. Link to that draft assistant details in the best ball tab on ETR.
1:29All right, let's start with the risers from the last seven days.
1:34Going to start with A.J. Brown up 7.1 spots to 20.1 overall on DraftKings.
1:39Hilarious to me that A.J. Brown is up so much on the trade to the Patriots news.
1:46All the way back on April 20th, Schefter reported that this A.J.
1:50Brown to Patriots deal was effectively done. He does not say things that big, that definitively, unless he's very sure it's going to happen.
1:59So we have been ranking and playing it as if A.J.
2:04Brown would be a Patriot for roughly two months.
2:07We have him around that Pickens-Alave range ahead of Garrett Wilson, Devonta Smith, Ladd McConkie.
2:13Clearly, the Patriots are a very good landing spot for A.J.
2:17Brown. They were fourth in pass rate over expectation last season.
2:21The Eagles were 19th. Drake Maye, 8.9 yards per attempt last season with a pretty dusty pass catching core.
2:28Jalen Hurts, 7.1 yards per attempt. I don't need to get into a bunch more numbers for you guys to understand the
2:37Patriots passing game is a huge upgrade on the Eagles passing game.
2:41I mean, Stefan Diggs, currently a street-free agent, only played around 60% of the snaps last year.
2:48He went 85, 10-13, four touchdowns in his withered state with Drake May last season.
2:54So, I like A.J. Brown. I think the Eagles' locker room and offensive scheme was broken last year.
3:01And so, yes, A.J. Brown's underlying metrics are a bit scary.
3:05And people will say it's because of the knee issue or because he's 28 now.
3:11I think the reason that his underlying metrics were down last year is because he's a whiner who didn't get the ball
3:19enough in Philly, didn't think Jalen Hurts was good enough, rightfully didn't think the Kevin Petula scheme was NFL caliber.
3:27And so, my bigger point is that the Patriots know all this.
3:31They know that if A.J. Brown does not get the ball a ton, he's going to whine.
3:38He's going to cause problems. He's going to read a book on the sideline.
3:43He's going to yell it at the head coach.
3:47And knowing all this, they still gave up around one pick for the right to give A.J.
3:53Brown $33 million guaranteed. So, I've been taking A.J.
3:56Brown even as his ADP rises here, especially on full PPR DraftKings, and especially because I think Drake May is a strong
4:05pick where he goes in the mid-60s. You know, again, back to this whole quarterback dynamic thing this year in basketball, with
4:13the ADPs the way they are at QB, I'm taking a lot of Drake May.
4:19Plus Lamar Jackson, Jaden Daniels, Jalen Hurts. Second riser is Jonathan Brooks up 8.4 spots to 107 overall.
4:26Really, really sharp rise for Jonathan Brooks continues. He was at 121 overall on DraftKings just two weeks ago.
4:33Now 107 and rising. I mean, this all stems from some relatively meaningless videos from OTAs, some coach speak about how healthy
4:42and great Brooks looks, and some kind of thin reporting from some national reporters and some local reporters as well.
4:49I know a ton of sharp people disagree with me on Brooks, but I'm just not buying the massive spike here.
4:57I'm just not sure I've ever seen people so excited about a dude who tore his right ACL in November of 2023,
5:06has this very weird and slow rehab, gets back December of 2024, records nine carries for 22 yards in three games, and
5:14then re-tears the same right ACL, misses the entire 2025 season.
5:18And people are excited about that despite the injury.
5:22Not only are they excited despite the injury, but he's a Panther.
5:26I mean, the Panthers have an implied team total for the season of just 20.6 points.
5:33That's 27th in the NFL. And look, I'm no Chuba Hubbard fan.
5:37I don't think he's very good. He's not a difference maker.
5:41But the Panthers gave him $33 million contract extension.
5:45He's already had two seasons with nearly 300 touches.
5:48So we're pretty far behind ADP on Brooks. I'm just not going to have much of him at this current 107 price.
5:57It's a little scary. I just, if he runs away and dominates for a Panthers team with Chuba Hubbard there off this
6:05injury, I'll just have to tip my cap. Third riser, Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell up 5.2 spots to 189 overall.
6:13So Texans had OTAs last week. Tank Dell was spotted for like a half speed walkthrough period.
6:20There's some videos of him out there running routes against light defense.
6:25If you want to see them, I quote tweeted it already.
6:29Um, Texas general manager Nick Casario said he expects Dell to be out there for the beginning of training camp.
6:36I think that's legit enough evidence that Dell should be rising off of like the stone floor of the wide receiver barrel.
6:45The issue here is the severity of his injury.
6:48This is worse than Jonathan Brooks injury. And this was week 16 of the 2024 season.
6:54Tank Dell dislocated kneecap, torn ACL, torn MCL, torn LCL, meniscus damage, needed multiple surgeries, missed all of 2025.
7:02I mean, it was just such a brutal injury.
7:05I was not sure that Tank Dell would ever play in the NFL again.
7:10And I still don't think that's like a stone cold lock because even if he does come back quote unquote healthy, will he be the same?
7:20This is a guy that was an awesome NFL player, but relied a ton on shiftiness speed.
7:27I'm just a little queasy on it. Now at 189 overall, I do think the upside there is to take some swings, you know, 19th round, 20th round.
7:38Stroud backstacks are definitely in play with Jaden Higgins, Dalton Schultz, Jalen Knoll, and Tank Dell.
7:44So I'll mix in some Dell, but I think we can get cheaper prices here as soon as there's one negative report,
7:52you know, like all it's going to take is the Texans giving him, hey, we're going to give Tank Dell a few days off.
8:01His knee is swelling up and his ADP will just come crashing back down again.
8:07So I'll look for some spots there when I think round 20 is more in play.
8:13All right, let's get to this week's fallers. Chris Rodriguez down five spots to 127 overall on DraftKings.
8:20This is an OTA related quote unquote news move.
8:24Chris Rodriguez was not participating at practice for the last two weeks due to an undisclosed injury.
8:30There's a report out there that C-Rod will be back for the opening week of training camp.
8:37But again, we don't know what the injury is.
8:40I don't think I'm going to sweat mispractices in May and June, but I do think it gives the C-Rod haters some more ammo here.
8:50We already know the upside on him is cap.
8:53Running backs who are a zero in the pass game and aren't explosive big play runners, they're just not great fantasy assets.
9:01They need a ton of touchdowns to really move the needle.
9:06So then when you add in some injury risk, I get why C-Rod is falling.
9:11And meanwhile, Bashel Tootin getting some good reports from OTAs, whatever.
9:16And so is pass down specialist LeKint Allen. But man, 127 overall in this running back environment where running backs are going so high.
9:25127 overall is pretty cheap for a player like C-Rod who was handpicked by his coach with what I think will be
9:33a clear share of the base work, goal line role for a good offense.
9:39So I'm buying C-Rod here at 127. You know, RB gets so thin so fast.
9:44If slash when Rodriguez is fully healthy at camp, I think we'll see his ADP start to tick back up again.
9:52Second faller, RJ Harvey down 2.7 spots to 79 overall.
9:56Not only is Harvey down to 79 overall on DraftKings, he's also down to 85 on Underdog.
10:03And this is really a good example of two things to me.
10:07First, the fantasy market is getting much sharper. We're talking about a sophomore back coming off a 12 TD rookie season, which he caught 47 balls.
10:17It's not that long ago people would be blindly piling into that profile much, much higher.
10:23And second, I think this RJ Harvey ADP is an example of everything being price dependent.
10:29In other words, I thought I'd be out on Harvey this year.
10:34The signs on him have been really bad. Evan and I have talked about this.
10:40Harvey's best skill is in space as a pass catcher, but they don't like using him on passing downs because of protection issues.
10:49He also got roasted by J.K. Dobbins in terms of rushing efficiency last year.
10:54There were rumors that Broncos were in the mix for ETN.
10:58They were in the mix for Brees Hall. The Sean Payton comments haven't been great around Harvey.
11:05They ended up giving J.K. Dobbins a bunch of money.
11:08They draft Jonah Coleman, who can pass protect. Jalen Waddle is going to take a bunch of targets.
11:15You know, it's all not great for RJ Harvey.
11:19So again, I thought I'd be out on him, but the market has reacted so violently.
11:25I actually think at 80 overall, Harvey's pretty interesting.
11:28It's just so hard to find real upside at running back this late this year.
11:34And we're talking about a guy who catches the ball well, really good in space, and was trusted around the goal line.
11:42That's enough for me to close my eyes and click RJ Harvey at this falling price.
11:49Last follower to get to today is Jackson Dart down 2.5 spots to 98 overall.
11:54I think Dart is falling on the Malik neighbors news, which I get.
11:59Behind neighbors, we are talking primary options, Darius Slayton, Isaiah Likely, Darnell Mooney, Theo Johnson, Malachi Fields, just total dust.
12:07And we also have Matt Nagy at OC. Like, I do not trust him to put Jackson Dart in the best position to win without Malik neighbors.
12:17And then we also have the fact that the Giants know Dart is unlikely to be able to keep playing like a total wild man and sustain health.
12:28They were already talking about this last year, albeit with a different coaching staff.
12:33So we do have Dart's designed runs docked a bit more like it was end of the season, but he still has a really fantasy friendly game.
12:44That wild style, super aggressive, YOLO passing, scrambling like crazy.
12:48It's how Josh Allen started his career, although Allen's completion rate was much lower.
12:53But the important point on Dart is just the rushing stuff.
12:57He played all or most of 12 games last year, and his rushing average was seven carries for 40 yards and .75 touchdowns per game.
13:07That is just absolutely massive. Now, I haven't gotten much Dart yet in drafts.
13:12It's awkward stacking him. We've been out on neighbors.
13:15The likely price, the Isaiah Likely price is really high.
13:19But I think I need to start being more open to naked Dart or some running back, you know, either Scadaboo or Tracy with Dart.
13:29The rushing stuff is just too important. All right.
13:32That is going to do it for another edition of Market Monday.
13:37Appreciate everyone for listening. Be sure to hit the subscribe button on our free YouTube page so we can continue to bring
13:45you shows you cannot fathom living without like this one.
13:49Coming up next on the channel, I will be talking to Evan and Ryan Reynolds about awards, NFL awards markets, MVP, comeback
13:58player of the year, rookie of the year, et cetera, and maybe some Super Bowl and conference championship type stuff here as well.
14:06Stay tuned for that later this week. Also, remember the exposure tracker for best ball is free on Solver.
14:14Just need an account. Highly, highly recommend that so you have a handle on how much you're drafting of each guy and
14:22the combos that you do it with. For producer Luke, producer Ryan, for Jerry, the most beautiful beast in the world, I'm Adam.
14:31Good luck, everybody.
