1:37Visit yearup.org to learn more. Five big things that you need to know going into your drafts this weekend with Jamie Eisenberg on FFT Express.
1:44All right, here we go. Let's start with the injuries.
1:47We had a little bit of a scare at Bears camp yesterday, but I think all is well.
1:53What are the biggest injuries we need to know before drafting?
1:56I think we have two running backs at the top of the draft or relatively close to the top of the draft with Ashton Gentey and Jeremiah Love.
2:04Hopefully both will be ready for week one. It sounds like they're trending in the right direction.
2:10We got the scare for both of them. Gentey late in the process and the practice that Dave actually was at and
2:16Love in the first preseason game, ironically enough, against the Raiders.
2:19But I think you're drafting them in the appropriate spots with Gentey late round two, early round three.
2:25Love mid to late round three, early round four if he falls.
2:29I think those are great values for both of those guys.
2:32We're keeping an eye on some other injuries as well.
2:35Trevion Henderson has this ankle problem that I think has brought his ADP down, which I think is smart, which has helped elevate Ramondre Stevenson.
2:42Trying to think of the running back ones that are really relevant.
2:46I think those are the biggest ones. At wide receiver, we're keeping an eye on Emeka Buka with the toe injury.
2:52Hopefully he's going to be okay. Seems like he's trending in the right direction.
2:57Alec Pierce has overcome his injury concern, so it seems like he's someone that will be rising up draft boards.
3:03I still would like to take Josh Downs first.
3:05Pierce also has been a little injury prone, but sounds like he's going to be okay.
3:10But Pierce has immense upside if he can become a little bit more of a diversified wide receiver.
3:16Mike Evans seems like he's going to be fine.
3:18Made the trip to Australia, so hopefully he'll be out there for week one.
3:22Same thing with George Kittle. Two 49ers that we know we've been tracking for the entirety of the offseason.
3:28Evans has actually battled four separate injuries in training camp, so that's brought his value down.
3:33And then in the case of Kittle, coming off injured reserve, that's great.
3:37Same thing with Tucker Craft, another tight end that we had some concerns about.
3:41But he's healthy, ready to go. I think we covered most of the major ones there, unless I'm missing someone.
3:47No, I don't think so. There's some minor ones like Carnell Tate, the Bengals wide receivers, Zay Flowers back at practice.
3:53I think it's, you know... Oh, I have two.
3:56I have two. Yeah, go ahead, go ahead. That have helped actually players.
4:00Not that anybody was drafting Alvin Kamara to be starters, but his absence has allowed Travis Achan, I think, to be put
4:07in a spot that he probably belonged to begin with.
4:10But, you know, having Kamara stay on the roster was a little concerning for me.
4:14But Kamara's going to miss the start of the season, so that should be great for Travis Achan.
4:20You took him in the pick-by-pick series we just talked about early third round.
4:24I would take him probably late third round. But great opportunity for him.
4:28And same thing with DeAndre Swift, with Kyle Monongai dealing with his knee injury.
4:32He's week-to-week, so assuming that Swift was just dealing with cramps, that's great for him.
4:37And then one more, I guess, bears note is Luther Burden, you know, coming back from the groin injury.
4:42Sounds like he's going to be fine. Should be good to go.
4:46And I guess you should mention Brees Hall also coming back from a groin injury.
4:50Should also be good to go for week one.
4:53Okay, next topic here. Who are the top offenses that you want a piece of?
4:58Or pieces? Most of them are relatively obvious. The Bengals, you know, you can draft their quarterback, running back, both wide receivers.
5:04Cowboys, same situation. You know, those are two of the more prominent ones.
5:08The Rams, you know, assuming everybody's good to go.
5:11With Sean McVay back, with Stafford back, and, you know, Puka on track to play in week one.
5:16Detroit's schedule is absolutely dreamy with 11 indoor games in the first 17 weeks of the season.
5:21And I think they're going to get off to a great start, especially with their defense.
5:26Their safeties are banged up. Secondary and general is banged up.
5:30So that should be good for them. I think looking at some of the more underrated offenses, we talked about this with Dan.
5:37I think Minnesota bounces back with Kyler Murray, so that should be good for a lot of the pieces there.
5:43We know about, you know, the high-end guys of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.
5:47And I think Jordan Mason will be the lead running back there.
5:50But Kyler Murray should just help this team in general.
5:53The Saints, I think, will have a fun offense as well.
5:57I think the Eagles offense gets back to being a more productive group.
6:01Patriots offense now should be a little bit more explosive with A.J.
6:04Brown there and Romeo Dobbs there. I'm actually excited about it.
6:08I know it sounds funny because they lose one of their key pieces in Josh Jacobs, but I'm excited about the Packers offense.
6:14I think that Jordan Love throws the ball more.
6:17And the track record is there when the run game struggles.
6:21And I think the defense is going to be a little bit suspect at the start of the season without Mike Parsons.
6:27If he's north of 30 pass attempts, remember 2023, 34 pass attempts per game is what he averaged.
6:33And he scored, he averaged 23 fantasy points per game.
6:36So we love the receivers, right? To whatever degree with Tucker Craft, like Watson's a fifth-round pick.
6:41Like, I'm excited about Jaden Reed. Dave's excited about Matthew Gold.
6:44And I think we're all excited that Craft is healthy and Christian Watson, same thing.
6:49Like, there's a lot to love about the Packers offense, I think, being one of the more fun units to follow.
6:55All right. I'm going to ask you for some high upside mid-round picks.
6:59We're going to do that when we come back on Fantasy Football Today Express.

7:55FFT50off at factormeals.com. See website for more details. So far, Jamie's given you the injury report, the offenses that we want pieces of.
8:01How about the high upside mid-round picks, players who could outperform their ADP?
8:05I'm going to skip quarterback because I think they're all good of the mid-round guys.
8:10If you want to go late-round guys, a quarterback, Brock Purdy, Jared Goff, Stafford still, Jordan Love, Kyler Murray.
8:16There's just a lot of good late-round guys. Everyone.
8:18Yeah, everyone. Malik Wells. The mid-round picks. So running backs, I think Jadarian Price, Marshawn Lloyd.
8:23Now Ramondre, especially with Trevion, who's another guy that's dealing with an injury, you know, ankle problem.
8:28Those running backs, I think, could be great if you're getting them at the right price.
8:33Same thing with potentially Jonathan Brooks if he's the guy for the Panthers, but Chuba Hubbard, another guy dealing with an injury
8:40concern in camp with the hamstring problem. Now he's back.
8:43Wide receiver, there's a lot. You know, you start round five.
8:46You got Christian Watson, Chris Godwin, Romeo Doubs, Parker Washington, Marvin Harrison, Jamison Williams.
8:50Like, there's so many guys in that range. If you go a little bit further, you know, I think, again, Jaden Reed, Jordan Addison, Matthew Golden, Jalen Coker.
8:59I'm probably going a little bit too far there.
9:01But, like, the potential of some of those wide receivers, I still think Cardinal Tate, Deshaun Stribbling, Casey Concepcion, a lot of good rookie wide receivers there.
9:10And then the tight ends are fantastic in this range.
9:13You know, Sam Laporta, Tucker Craft, Kyle Pitts. They're all amazing at just mid-round cost that could be great.
9:18Yeah, but the thing about some of the wide receivers, your name's specifically Parker Washington and Chris Godwin.
9:24You said round five. That's when you'd consider taking them.
9:27In ADP, Parker Washington's going at the 6-7 turn.
9:29Chris Godwin's going 88th. So those guys are two that we'd highlight that could really outperform their ADP.
9:35How about the late-round quarterback strategy? When to wait?
9:38Who to target? How late you can comfortably go at quarterback?
9:41I did a draft on Thursday night where 12-team league, I took two quarterbacks because I waited, and it was Kyler Murray
9:47and Jordan Love, and I'm perfectly fine with that.
9:50So if you're comfortable waiting, Jared Goff, I think, is the first one you want to target because, again, early season schedule
9:57– or, sorry, season schedule is great, and production should be solid.
10:00You know, he's never been below 20 fantasy points as the full-time starter for the Lions taking out the year that he was traded.
10:08And, you know, weapons are awesome. Brock Purdy is another one that, you know, consistently above 20 fantasy points last year was,
10:14you know, pushing to be the number one quarterback at times.
10:18Just dealt with some injuries in terms of points per game.
10:21I think Jordan Love, again, is going to have a big season.
10:25I think you're going to get great production from the running quarterbacks like Malik Willis, like Kyler Murray.
10:30Tyler Shuck was over 20 fantasy points per game as the starter for the Saints.
10:34So depending on how deep you want to go with it, I think once you get past kind of the Stafford, Goff,
10:41Purdy group, then you probably want to consider taking two.
10:44Mahomes, Bo Nix are both in that conversation as well.
10:47So it's just a great scenario to wait. Baker Mayfield – we never talk enough about Baker Mayfield.
10:53So just like the bounce back potential is huge for him.
10:56All right. And that's late round quarterbacks. What if you wait at tight end?
11:00What's your late round tight end strategy? So it's usually once you get to the Harold Fannin spot where when I see
11:07Fannin get drafted, for the most part, I have it ranked differently.
11:10But for the most part, once Fannin goes is when I start looking for Isaiah Likely, George Kittle, and Travis Kelsey.
11:17Now, Kittle has kind of gone all over the place the last week or so since he's come off the pup list.
11:23And then you had the report from Kyle Shannon about will he be ready?
11:28And then he makes the flight to Australia, so he should be good.
11:31So if you're drafting this weekend, I would take Kittle ahead of Fannin.
11:35I also, again, likely ahead of Fannin. But usually when Fannin goes, because his ADP suggests he goes first, then I look
11:42for those two, three guys in particular with Kelsey being the third one.
11:46If I miss on almost all those guys, the first option – now ADP says otherwise.
11:51Goddard goes ahead of these guys because his projections are higher.
11:54But Dallas Goddard should be great without A.J. Brown there.
11:57I think Dalton Kincaid bounces back – not bounces back, but plays hopefully a full season because his knee seems to be okay.
12:04Mark Andrews should bounce back. That was one that struggled last year.
12:08And then you have the two veteran guys that I don't think anybody wants to consider as starters, but they could be
12:14good in Dalton Schultz and Jawan Johnson. Both were fantastic last year.
12:18Career highs for both of them in targets and catches.
12:21Second-best season yardage-wise for Dalton Schultz. Everything was a career high for Jawan Johnson except the touchdowns.
12:26But you have significant injuries. Jordan Tyson, another injury concern.
12:29He's on IR. And then Jaden Higgins out for the season for the Texans.
12:33So that opens up the opportunity for both those tight ends to be successful.
12:37All right. There you have it from Jamie Eisenberg.
12:40Five awesome tips for you. Must-haves for your draft this weekend.
12:43And we wish you the best of luck. But remember, your season isn't over after you draft.
12:49There is a lot to be done throughout the season.
12:52Trades, adds, drops, starts, and sits. And we'll help you out along the way on FFT and FFT Express.
12:57Have a great weekend. Talk to you soon. Podcasts.
