Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeValue38:22

The source advises against dropping Justin Herbert despite recent struggles. While the offensive line and system are currently underperforming, Herbert retains upside. Managers should hold if roster space allows, noting that Trevor Lawrence had a similar slow start in 2025 before finding success in the same system. 0:00Creatine is easily one of the most researched supplements on the planet, but I hit a point where I realized just trusting a pretty label wasn't enough.
0:08I needed actual verification. That's why I made the switch to Momentus Signature Spec Creatine.
0:13Instead of chasing flavor trends, Momentus set a brand new benchmark by producing their creatine in a pharmaceutical facility with reverse osmosis water purification.
0:21It undergoes a rigorous six-stage testing process with four independent agencies, guaranteeing 10 times fewer impurities, tighter heavy metal limits, and tests for microplastics and purification.
0:29For my own routine, having that level of purity is non-negotiable.
0:32And the fact that it's an ultra-fine powder that mixes seamlessly with no clumping makes it effortless to take every day for power, recovery, and brain health.
0:41If you want to try Momentus Signature Spec Creatine, head to livemomentus.com and use code FFT for up to 35% off your entire first order.
0:48That's livemomentus.com, promo code FFT for up to 35% off.
0:52Livemomentus.com, promo code FFT. I recently took a trip to Memphis for the FFT Draft-A-Thon.
0:56While we were there, we also got to experience a little bit of what makes Memphis so special, including some of the food the city is famous for.
1:05We had Memphis-style barbecue with pulled pork, ribs, and all the classic sides.
1:09It was an incredible trip, especially getting to spend time with everyone involved, enjoy some great local food, and support a cause
1:16that means so much to all of us. And while I was away enjoying the trip, my place back home was just sitting empty.
1:23It got me thinking. If you're going to be away anyway, why not put that space to use?
1:29While you're traveling or taking off for a long weekend, you could list your space on Airbnb and earn some extra cash while you're gone.
1:37And when big events come to your city, like a major game, concert, festival, or convention, travelers are looking for places to stay.
1:44Listing your space on Airbnb can be a way to welcome those visitors to your city while putting your space to work
1:51and earning some extra cash that you can put toward your next trip.
1:55Your home might be worth more than you think.
1:58Find out how much at airbnb.com slash host. This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports.
2:03What a play! It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
2:06Off to the races, and he stays at his feet.
2:09He's just going to go the distance. Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
2:14It's mailbag time! And for about 10 or 15 minutes or so, we're going to wait for Dan.
2:20He's not going to be—we're not going to wait.
2:23We're going to podcast without Dan, so it'll be me and Jamie and maybe an occasional impression of Dan.
2:29Hello, Jamie Eisenberg. Happy mailbag. Dan is frantically trying to get to the show.
2:33What do you think he's saying to himself right now?
2:36Oh, man, I can't believe they didn't start without me.
2:39They couldn't wait like 15 minutes. We'll get to the show right now.
2:43I mean, I know—look, I accept responsibility. I was the one who was late.
2:48I get it. But it's a terrible rule, and it's a horrible rule, and they shouldn't have to start on time.
2:54Something like that. He just sent us a text.
2:57What did it say? There's a crash on the road.
3:00Get out of here. You can't make this bleep up.
3:03It's adding another seven minutes to my bleeping drive now.
3:06I'm bleeping pissed. He has had every excuse, this guy.
3:10We are going to just destroy him. I guarantee you.
3:13I guarantee you. He lingered at the place that he was at probably too long.
3:17You know, I don't think so. But just wait until I'll hear the excuses for Dan.
3:22We got bad weather this weekend. I didn't talk about that on the Friday show, and I should have, Jamie.
3:29If there are two games that are going to be impacted, it looks like it'll be the Commanders hosting the Seahawks and
3:36more so the Giants hosting the Titans. What do we need to know here?
3:40Well, I mean, for the Giants, it's obviously a lot to digest with.
3:44Well, both, I guess, home teams have backup quarterbacks.
3:47So, you know, if you want to just be concerned in general, if the weather is that bad, then you can downgrade neighbors even more.
3:55I don't think anybody is, aside from Superflex or two-quarterback league starting James Winston or Marcus Mariota.
4:00But, you know, maybe put a damper on the upside of what Sam Darnold could be in the Washington game and maybe
4:07a little bit more focus on the running backs there for all these teams.
4:11Yeah, I think, you know, it's kind of like when nobody wants to start the Commanders passing game, I don't think likely
4:18is going to be someone that we're sitting because of this.
4:21But maybe, you know, look, I think bad weather can really throw off a game.
4:26But neighbors will be interesting coming off the game he just had.
4:30And he wasn't even that great against the Cowboys in week one.
4:34And now he's got James Winston. He may not have Andrew Thomas, all these things.
4:38No, Tom is going to play. Tom is going to play.
4:42OK, good. If and we do have some injury updates for it here.
4:46If the weather's really bad and this is why you got to tune in Sunday morning, I'm sure we're going to get
4:53a lot of neighbors questions and we'll have some interesting neighbors answers.
4:56It's not like he's not being ranked as a top 12 guy this week.
5:01You know, it's not like he's an absolute slam dunk.
5:04All right. We'll get some YouTube questions first and then we'll do the injuries.
5:08And although right now everybody is just giving answers to why Dan is late.
5:13So here's a question from YouTube. With Nick Bosa out, should I transition from the 49ers DST to the Panthers, Jags or Saints?
5:20I did move the 49ers behind the Jaguars. I think I still have them ahead of the Panthers and the Saints.
5:26So you can go with the Jaguars against the Patriots.
5:30Kyle Monongai, Rashad White or Alvin Kamara? So we don't have updates yet on Monongai.
5:34We also don't have, I think, a full thing he practiced today in Travis HN.
5:39But I don't know if he was limited or not.
5:42No, I'm pretty sure he's good to go. I think he practiced in full.
5:46Okay. So then there you go. So I would lean Rashad White.
5:50I think just given the expected game flow and what he did last week with six catches, I think that's a good sign.
5:57Grade the trade in PPR. Give up my Brees Hall for Parker Washington.
6:01I have B. John Robinson and Ken Walker. I still like the Brees side slightly better, but I think that's a B minus at worst.
6:09That would be a C minus then if you like the Brees side slightly better.
6:14Okay. Sorry. C minus. Guillotine Price. Oh, no. Sorry.
6:17The Guillotine Price for Marvin Harrison Jr. wouldn't be that high.
6:20Guillotine Flex. Jadarian Price, Marvin Harrison Jr., or Jawan Johnson?
6:23Jawan Johnson to me is the safest of the group.
6:26Price may get a little bit more run just with the weather situation being what it is in Washington.
6:32Another injury report that we don't have a final designation on yet.
6:36So you can go with either of those two guys.
6:39You cannot play Marvin Harris. Coker or Josh Downs?
6:42I like Coker slightly better, but I do like Downs as well.
6:46Got great news on Coker this week, or Friday, excuse me, that he's good to go.
6:51Herbert or Bryce Young? I'd go Bryce Young. Pick two.
6:54Wicks? Adonai Mitchell, who's questionable with a finger injury, Rashad Bateman.
6:57So Zay Flowers practiced in individual drills in Brazil.
7:00His final designation has not been done yet. Remember last week he practiced on Friday also, and then he was ruled as doubtful.
7:07So just keep an eye on that scenario. I would probably still play Wicks and Bateman over Mitchell.
7:13As you said, the finger injury. Now he was practicing with a heavy wrap on his hand.
7:18That could just be just protect him in practice for today.
7:22So we don't know exactly what's going to be the case.
7:25But I do believe that Aaron Glenn said he's going to play.
7:29He got his finger caught in a jersey, so I don't think it's going to play.
7:34On Thursday. Yeah. Vikings, DST, or Niners? Vikings. Need a running back and a flex in non-PPR.
7:39Ramondre, Trevion, Vele, Godwin, Ferguson. I'd still go Ramondre over Henderson, but could be wrong there.
7:44I just don't know how the Patriots are going to divvy up the touches or the playing time.
7:50And then in non-PPR, with Puka listed as doubtful, I'm going to go Ferguson.
7:54You want to see some pictures of why Dan is late?
7:58Let's see. What is this? This is Dan holding money.
8:01And there's Dan's scorecard. He did win by one stroke, it seems.
8:04So congratulations to Dan. Yeah. Jamie's not abused. No, I mean, well, he told us not to talk about it.
8:11Yeah, he did, but then he sent the pictures.
8:14All right. With the weather, should I change from the Lions defense and go to the Giants instead?
8:19I would not. Well, actually, no, I would not go.
8:22So I would use the Giants defense anyway. Yeah, right, right.
8:26Can we answer that on the earlier show? I'm not sure.
8:29Adonai Mitchell or Carnell Tate? Mitchell. Neighbors or DJ Moore?
8:32And I think if for whatever reason Mitchell's out, I would pivot to like Xavier Hutchinson over Tate at this point.
8:39Neighbors or DJ Moore? And DJ Moore is going to be a game time decision.
8:44Yeah, he returned to practice on Friday, but was still in a non-contact jersey.
8:48He said yesterday, I saw some quotes from him that he's good to go.
8:52But assuming that he does play, I'd go more over neighbors.
8:56Last one here for now is start three of these four.
8:59Devon Achan, Chuba Hubbard, Brees Hall, Omari and Hampton.
9:02I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm going to bench Devon Achan.
9:06Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. Okay, fine. I mean, what's the argument for him?
9:10Got 20-something touches last week. Okay. Brees Hall hasn't really gotten that, has he?
9:14I'm not sure that Brees Hall, believe it or not, is the goal linebacker.
9:19Yeah, but he's a passing out guy. Brees Hall didn't have that.
9:23Brees Hall's had 24 and 21 touches. Um, okay.
9:25I'm in. I'm in. That's the one you would bench, though?
9:29Is it Brees Hall? No. I agree with you.
9:32No, I'm saying if you had to take one out.
9:35Achan. And put Achan in. Oh, well, I am going to bench Achan, but I actually think I would have benched Hampton.
9:42I like Hampton the best of that group. Really?
9:44Mm-hmm. I'm not sure. I mean, the Bills, yeah, I don't know.
9:48Let's see if Ed Oliver's going to play, but the Bills' run defense has been pretty good, I think.
9:54And, um, Hampton's not really that involved in the passing game.
9:58Could change, obviously. Tough calls. I'll tell you, I wouldn't be benching Chuba Hubbard.
10:02All right, here's your news and notes. Nico Collins, missed practice.
10:05He's unlikely to play. Puka Nakua, unlikely to play.
10:08Almost certainly not going to play, but probably going to be back next week for Puka Nakua.
10:13Brock Bowers is questionable. It seems like he's going to play, right?
10:17So Kubiak said that, uh, the missed practice today was planned, but not ideal, obviously, that he's coming back from an injury
10:24where he's yet to play yet and missing the final practice before.
10:28So it sounds like probably a game time decision.
10:31Uh, full practice for Ed Oliver on Friday. Okay.
10:33Uh, Travis HN, ETN will play. Aaron Jones is going to play.
10:37DJ Moore and Keon Coleman are game time decisions, but Jamie just expressed some optimism for more.
10:43Jaden Daniels is week to week. He's going to avoid IR.
10:46Jalen Coker expected to play. Xavier Liget will be a game time decision.
10:50Tony Pollard practiced in full. Tajay Spears is going to be questionable.
10:54Rico Dowdle doesn't seem likely to play this week against the Bengals.
10:58Uh, what's the difference between Chuba Hubbard and Jalen Warren this week?
11:01Like I know you're super excited about Chuba. Do you have, if, if Rico Dowdle is out, what kind of excitement would you have for Warren?
11:09I do have excitement for Warren, but it's a tougher matchup in my opinion.
11:14I think the Cincinnati defense has really been fantastic through the first two weeks of the season.
11:19Not that the Browns defense hasn't been, you know, uh, bad, but I have more faith in the Panthers offense than I do in the Steelers offense.
11:27Okay. Uh, it's got Nick Bosa going to miss time with a calf injury for the Niners.
11:33Caleb Douglas out. Do you see what they, uh, what they said that they, they're not sure if they're going to put
11:40him on IR because they have, they're running out of IR spots.
11:43Oh, geez. Caleb Douglas is out. Chris Bell is likely to play.
11:47Addon I Mitchell limited with the finger injury. Your email.
11:50So here's how you can get your questions read.
11:53First, you can join us on YouTube at youtube.com slash fantasy football today.
11:57You can email us fantasy football at cbsi.com. If you have a fantasy cops question, make sure you put fantasy cops in the subject line.
12:05We got a, I don't know, probably at least 15 this week alone.
12:09We've got Apple podcasts. Please leave a five star review.
12:12Do it early in the week. So it'll populate in time for me to read it on the show.
12:18And then even sometimes it's Apple podcasts, a little wonky.
12:21Sometimes they don't show up and sometimes they do.
12:24It's weird, but that'd be awesome. You could leave us a five star review.
12:28Tell people why you like the show and also ask your question.
12:32Please don't just leave the five stars. And then the question, tell people why they should listen to the show.
12:38It will help us grow. And we're going to read some Spotify comments today as well.
12:43But here are your emails at fantasy football at cbsi.com.
12:47That is the letter I. It's from miles. Start two in full PPR.
12:51Abuka, Coker, Adonai Mitchell, Rashad Bateman. Buka, Coker, Adonai Mitchell, and Rashad Bateman.
12:55So Coker's the easy one. And then it would be Bateman if Flowers is out.
12:59Abuka, Flowers is in. From Matthew, start one in the flex for week three.
13:04Luther Burden, Terrence Ferguson, and Dontavian Wicks. Start one.
13:07It's between Ferguson and Wicks for me. I really like what I saw from Ferguson in that game.
13:12Now Jordan Whittington is going to play. So just keep an eye on that because he was out last week.
13:18And that's kind of been their Puka replacement. Not necessarily from a one-to-one production standpoint, but from just running some of those routes.
13:26I still just think that Ferguson with Matthew Stafford is a little bit safer.
13:30The only caveat would be is if Devontae Smith is ruled out, but you won't know that by the time you have to start.
13:37Presumably you won't know that by the time you start.
13:41Yeah. Start Wicks. This is from someone named Brock, appropriately named here for this question.
13:45He's got Brock Purdy and Lamar Jackson, but he's also starting Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Mike Evans, assuming Evans plays.
13:52Would you play it safe and go with Lamar Jackson there?
13:55No, I would take the guy playing the Cardinals.
13:58What about the guy playing the Cowboys? May not have his number one receiver though.
14:03So if Flowers is in, you can go that route.
14:06They're both four o'clock games. So, you know, that's QB2 and QB3 for me.
14:10I just think Purdy's so locked in right now and the Cardinals are not very good.
14:15From Chris, I need a wide receiver, a flex, and a running back in PPR.
14:20Travis E., Woody Marks, Kenneth Gainwell, Zay Flowers, Emeka Abuka, Jordan Addison, Wanda Robinson, and Dalton Schultz.
14:25Does not need a tight end? No. Let's get a running back.
14:29Travis H.N., Woody Marks, Kenneth Gainwell. No, Travis H.N.
14:32Let's get a wide receiver. Flowers, Abuka, Addison, Wanda.
14:35Flowers if he's in, Abuka if he's not. Let's get a flex.
14:38Max. Schultz. Yeah. Dear Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hugo.
14:41Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hugo. Yeah. I don't know.
14:44I didn't know either. It's Lost. You ever watch Lost?
14:47No. Yeah, me either. But when I hear Jack and Kate, I think of Titanic.
14:52Oh, interesting. But no, because it's Jack from Titanic, but it's Kate Winslet, so it doesn't really work.
14:57That's Rose. I got a new, he loves this one.
15:01He's very proud of himself. How much, you obviously, I shouldn't say how much, you obviously love your wife to death, right?
15:07Would you have moved her over on the board just to share?
15:11Yeah. Of course. Are you kidding? If she did something that selfish, I would have thrown her straight off the board and taken it for myself.
15:19Wow. It's really wrong. There's enough room for both of them.
15:23Sam, Sam, mark the tape 1328, send that to Adam's wife.
15:26Edit it out, Sam. Edit it out. It's really wrong what he does to her.
15:31I mean, what she does to him. So she, she murdered him.
15:35It's true. Yeah. Like, you blame the iceberg all you want.
15:38Rose murdered him. I mean, it's probably technically suicide.
15:41He decided to stay in the water. I think he just didn't want to impose, but she definitely should, like, she definitely should have just moved over.
15:49Selfish jerk. All right. Uh, the, the question from Ty, it's about a rule he passed.
15:54I got a new rule passed in one of my leagues and they despise change.
15:59Change makes the league angrier than an old man returning soup at a deli.
16:03Okay. I call it the shadow rule. Once per season, but not during the playoffs.
16:08Each manager can substitute a player from their bench into the starting lineup.
16:12Once all the games are over and secure a win, no one knows it's going to happen until the league manager announces it.
16:19One manager, Smitty used it in week one to sub in Christian Watson for Jamar Chase and he got the win.
16:26And now Smitty has the target on his back and wow, was Ivan ticked off.
16:30Some managers might save the shadow for late in the season when they view wins as more important or they have a critical matchup.
16:38Some might use it to play defense thinking their opponent might use their shadow player.
16:43Others will use it the first time they can because a win is a win.
16:47Once a manager uses their shadow player, everyone knows that they do not have that option available anymore and everyone else can use it anytime.
16:55No other roster moves can be made, just a player from the bench into a qualifying spot.
17:00When will managers use their special move? Only the shadow knows.
17:04I think it's exciting and I just wanted to share, hopefully I did not steal the idea from my best friend who
17:11has been doing this for 20 years. What do you think of the shadow?
17:15I kind of like it. You know, I mean, it gives you a little bit more strategy to, you know, deal with.
17:22It's, it's, it's interesting to use it early in the season.
17:25Yeah, I don't, I don't mind it. Look at this freaking guy.
17:29Look at this freaking guy. Master's hat on today, baby.
17:32Welcome to the party, pal. What a win today.
17:35What a win. Welcome to the party, pal. Welcome to the party is right.
17:40Let me start by saying to you guys and the list, the context is for me.
17:45So, and this is when, this is the year.

17:51What Dan was trying to say was, let me just, if it's with a lip, then I just wanted to, what was wrong with it?
17:59You're all choppy. You're all choppy. Is it good?
18:02I don't know. Is it good now or no?
18:05Nope. Any second, I suppose. All right, we're going to take a break.
18:09We're going to take a commercial break and come back and Dan restart your stupid computer.
18:14And we'll be back. We'll be back in a little bit.

21:04Look who's here. All right. Before Dan goes into his rant, some injury updates.
21:09Devante Smith practicing today? Yeah! Andrew Thomas says he has no doubt that he'll play.
21:13Yeah! Travis HN practice in full. Yes! What is that?
21:17Yeah. And Joe Brady says that he'll give DJ Moore, Keon Coleman, and Ed Oliver up until game time to make a decision.
21:24Yeah. Hey, what's up, Dan? What's up? What's up, boys?
21:27How you feeling, man? Congrats on the win. I'm feeling great.
21:30Sam's got some stuff to show on the screen.
21:33I'm a little sad that the round took four and a half hours.
21:37We were behind some old guys and we had to wait every hole, but we played Little Wolf today and I dropped
21:44a little 80 ball on the scorecard so here's the picture we take after everyone.
21:49There's the scorecard. 41-39 for the win. And then what we do in our group chat is we take a picture with
21:56the winnings at the end and send it to the group.
21:59That's great. I'm happy for you, man. It seems like you have a really good group, a lot of fun.
22:05Last round of the day, I think. Last round of the year, I should say, probably.
22:10It's about to get nasty. I mean, I'm not going to move to Florida.
22:15How would anybody move to Florida? How would anybody live in that horrible state with terrible food and the horrible weather and golf all year round?
22:23Oh, that part is nice. Oh, yeah. Thomas is probably playing right now.
22:27Probably. I wish I was playing with Thomas. We never got to play this year.
22:32Today is Dan's off day. He always does the mailbag on his off day, so we waited a little bit.
22:38What are off days? For him. Yeah, you don't have any, so I do never want to say it to you, Jamie,
22:45or you, Adam, but listen, our schedules are a little different.
22:48It's all right. It's all right. I'm not as high up as you, Jamie.
22:52Well, here's a, while you are on the golf course, here's Jordan's email from Rochester in New York.
22:58He says, Jamie mentioned on the, let's see, when Thursday show?
23:02I don't know. Show this week to highly consider or just flat out cut Justin Herbert if he underperforms again against the Bills in week three.
23:10As someone who had Trevor Lawrence for the first four weeks of the 2025 season and cut him due to underperformance and
23:17then saw Lawrence perform like a top tier quarterback from week five or so to the end of the season, seemingly in
23:23response to finally picking up Liam Cohen's system. Should those with Justin Herbert exercise a similar level of patience this year?
23:30Absolutely. It wasn't. It's not a blanket statement to just drop Herbert if he has a bad game against Buffalo.
23:36It's, there's, we get into situations where we're heading into one more week after this.
23:41So week five is when bi-week start that with the injuries and if they're not on IR and you can't stash non-IR
23:48players on IR spots, like you got a lot of tough decisions to make.
23:52And so can you afford to carry two quarterbacks if Justin Herbert's not going to play for you and depending on how
23:59many players you have on your bench, like I have one league where it's a, it's a five man bench.
24:05I can't, most, most of the teams in this league don't carry two quarterbacks.
24:10It's just not something that's feasible for a lot of managers.
24:13Now, clearly there's still upside for Herbert, you know, is the offensive line going to get fixed?
24:18I don't know. You know, Joe Aldis played terrible so far based on what his normal reputation and production has been.
24:25So maybe he gets better. The interior, you know, maybe they have some different ideas of what to do or, you know, how they change some things.
24:33But the guy who they thought was going to be their center is gone.
24:38Their blocking tight end is now hurt. Their, their system is struggling.
24:42And to the point about Trevor Lawrence, they're struggling to pick up Mike McDaniel's system.
24:46So could, could things turn around? Sure. I mean, there, there's plenty of talent there, but you know, if, if you pivot
24:53to Tyler Shuck, for example, this week, and you're still going to play Herbert or even just hold on to Herbert, yeah, you might be fine.
25:01You might just say, okay, I got my quarterback.
25:04I don't need to worry about Justin Herbert rest of season.
25:07So it's all, you know, when we say things like that, I know it sounds absolute.
25:12Like you should cut Justin Herbert. No, you should not just flat out cut Justin Herbert.
25:17You should not flat out cut Kyle Pitts. You should not flat out cut Colston Lovell.
25:22When players are playing poorly that you had investments in, if you can afford to carry them through their struggles, you do so.
25:30If you can't, then you have to make tough calls.
25:33And that's just the nature of the game we play.
25:36And let's draw on the comparison to the Jags of last year.
25:40Just like Jamie said, is the system that he, I guess there, I'm not going to say Herbert there and Herbert is
25:46struggling to pick up, but the same thing happened with Lawrence last year.
25:51And then they found it in that final stretch run.
25:54And obviously they've found it since, and that could easily just happen with Herbert as well, but it will require him to
26:01run a little bit more, which I expected him to do more after last season.
26:05And he hasn't really done a lot of this year despite being fully healthy.
26:10And that's Lawrence really his blow up was via the rushing.
26:13And the other thing to consider just with Herbert and the Chargers is we look at schedules, right?
26:19This is why I say this every preseason is you can look at this schedule and say, this looks like this and this looks like that.
26:27We thought layups against the Cardinals and the Raiders, right?
26:30Right? And the Raiders may not be a layup.
26:33The Cardinals played much better. Week one's always tough because they spent so much time preparing for that one game.
26:39So the Raiders may not just be a layup.
26:42And I'm not taking anything away from the Chargers being bad.
26:45Chargers being bad. But it just may not be the layup that we thought.
26:50Conversely, as we're looking at the schedule moving forward, they have a brutal stretch of games coming up.
26:55He may play much better. They may play much better in those tougher, quote unquote, tougher games because of injuries and different things happen.
27:03Last thing was that Tua Tungabailoa himself that first year with Mike McDaniel.
27:07I mentioned this on Beyond the Box score on Monday.
27:10The first like 10 games or something, they were really bad.
27:13And then they had three straight games with more than 30 points or more than 29 points.
27:19They picked it up in the second half of the year.
27:22But, you know, if you have to drop him because you need the roster spot, you know, he can't be patient forever.
27:29All right, next email here at fantasyfootballatcbsi.com is from Crosby.
27:32Choose a running back and a flex. Blake Corum, Emmett Johnson, Luther Burden, Emmanuel Wilson.
27:37This is PPR. Does it give anything on there?
27:40No idea. So I'm going to say your name as you're sorry?
27:43It is Blake Corum, Emmett Johnson, Burden, and Emmanuel Wilson.
27:46My answer will be Emmett Johnson and Luther Burden.
27:49I'm also on Emmett. I'm also on Emmett Johnson and Luther Burden and I think Emmett will be the highest scorer of those guys.
27:57I think he's in for a really good spot here against Miami.
28:00This is from Josh. It says, Dear Jim, Ian, Kevin, Andrew, and Chris.
28:05Jim, Ian, Kevin, Andrew, and Chris. Oh, is this office characters?
28:08Jim and Kevin? No. There's no Ian or Chris.
28:11I don't think so. Or Andrew. Well, Andy Bernard.
28:14Not really an office guy anyway. Park's a much better show.
28:17Yeah, I know. It's your little flagship line every time we hit it.
28:21It's just true. It's just true. You're going straight to Yale.
28:2510-team PPR. I have Fannin and Likely. I've been offered Chuba Hubbard and Travis Kelsey for Omari and Hampton.
28:30Ugh. No. Chuba Hubbard and Travis Kelsey for Omari and Hampton?
28:34I don't like that deal at all. I don't think you need the tight end, so yeah.
28:39Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Chuba is legit to be honest.
28:42Like, he's borderline... Where do you have him ranked this week, Jamie?
28:46He moved down to 12 when Barkley was active, so he's top total guy.
28:50Okay, so he's still in the RB1 conversation and probably will be weekly if the Panthers...
28:55I guess it depends on if the Panthers can keep up this pace.
29:00Yeah, I don't think he's necessarily that much worse than Hampton while Brooks is out.
29:04And Brooks, even when Brooks comes back, it's like he's going to have a huge role, I don't think.
29:10Brooks is not back for potentially six weeks. Yeah, but...
29:13The other thing is like... You just don't need the third tight end, but there's another deal you can make here.
29:20Let's move on. This is from Mervin. Pick two, DK Metcalf, Godwin, DJ Moore, Michael Wilson, and Tank Bigsby.
29:26Not going to be him. I need a running...
29:29I need a wide receiver and a flex. Metcalf, Godwin, DJ Moore, Michael Wilson.
29:33I'd go more if he plays. Yeah, I'd go Moore and Godwin.
29:37Okay, Moore and Wilson, and if Moore doesn't play, I'd probably go Metcalf.
29:41I didn't mind what I saw from Godwin watching the Browns tape.
29:44Okay, yeah, I feel that way too. I just...
29:47Yeah. I mind what I see from Baker and they're playing...
29:51That's the problem, but one thing he can do is throw short, which is good for Godwin.
29:56He's not doing it. It's been the deep passes that are killing him, but yeah, he's taking a lot of deep shots.
30:03Right? What the hell? I don't know why he's taking so many deep shots.
30:07It's crazy. All right, this is from... Sorry, I'm not prepared.
30:11It's from... Eric! From the middle of nowhere meets the boonies.
30:14Oh. Am I crazy to start... It just says Ferguson.
30:17Terrence, yeah. Well, it could be Jake. Over Colson Loveland.
30:20I would start both. I assume he means Terrence.
30:23Yeah, I think you have to start both. It's Case Keenum, guys.
30:27From Hayden Palacios. Sam Laporta, Brock Bowers, Jameson Williams.
30:30I think we need two here. Laporta, Bowers, Jameson.
30:33I'm sitting Jameson. I was going to say the same thing, but then we're starting two tight ends.
30:38I feel like you have to, at this point, go Laporta over Jameson, and I'm not benching Brock, so yeah.
30:44Just keep an eye on Bauer status. Yeah, that's the thing.
30:48Like, I don't want to... I don't want to be fooled.
30:51You think about Kittle's snap share, you think about Kraft's snap share.
30:55Now, they were coming off, like, major season-ending injuries, but in week one, they didn't play that much.
31:01I don't want to be fooled, and this happens...
31:04This happens sometimes. A guy comes back from an injury, even though it's just a two-week absence, he plays 50% of the
31:10snaps or something like that, so I'm a little wary with Bowers, honestly.
31:14I'm going to guess you'll know. It's never a bad idea to play two Lions.
31:19They can easily be dominant, and they're playing at home, and they're playing the Jets, so it wouldn't surprise me if they both go crazy.
31:27I just think Brock Bowers, if they're going to play him, they're going to play him, and so, I don't know.
31:34I would trust him. I haven't loved him. You're not wrong, Adam.
31:37And by the way, I haven't felt like... Yeah, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
31:42I was going to say, I don't think the Jets are the matchup we thought they were going to be preseason.
31:48Correct. All this defense is playing pretty well. Yeah.
31:51Yeah. And for the Lions, you know, I was excited because they're going to get Mahogany and Miller back, a guard and
31:58a tackle, but Ben Bartsch, their left guard, is probably going to miss this game, so it's like, you do take two
32:05steps forward, you can take one step back, though, as well.
32:08From Nicholas, I traded Omari and Hampton, Mike Evans, and Devon Vele.
32:12Hampton, Evans, and Vele for James Cook and Jamison Williams.
32:15B plus? Yeah. I'd say borderline A just because you're getting by far the best player in the deal at this point with James Cook.
32:23I like it. How are we doing, Dan? Other than their golf game.
32:27Feeling good? The golf game was great, but I'm kind of sad I missed the first half of this show.
32:33I really did not expect that to happen. It's a place where it averages four to three and a half and we
32:40just had old guys ahead of us. Devastating. We're literally waiting ten minutes on every box.
32:45It was crazy. I don't know what a box is, but I guess that's the whole.
32:50Yeah. I figured when I sent all that golf lingo throughout the day, you guys were going to be like, just shut up.
32:58Just get here when you get here. And you know what?
33:01To be honest, I kind of needed this after what happened on Monday and Tuesday.
33:06I've been in just a devastating depression since that.
33:08Not even kidding. I don't know. I compared it to the only thing that's close for me is when Plaque shot himself
33:15in 2008 when they were the one seed. That's the only thing that comes close to me.
33:21And this, to me, actually somehow feels worse because he looks so good in week one and now we waste a whole year of development.
33:28It just... Yeah. It sucks. You get a better draft pick, it'll be good.
33:33So tired of getting better draft picks. We've had better draft picks for ten years, Jamie.
33:38Yeah, who cares at this point? Nobody wants that anymore.
33:41We're past that rooting for draft pick crap. I mean, I'll be there again week 17, I'm sure.
33:47But... But now you don't have a choice. What do you mean I don't have...
33:51Yeah, who wants a no choice in week two, dude?
33:54I know. That's the thing. No, no, no. I understand that but you suffered the injury so now you've got to deal
34:01with the injury and make the best of it.
34:04Who gets a starting... What other starting quarterback is injured in week two that actually matters?
34:09Like Rodgers with the Jets but like I can't think of any others.
34:13Week two? Well, Brady in 2006. They still went to playoffs.
34:17They did win... They won 11 games. Castle? No, they missed it going 11-5 with Castle.
34:22Well, that could be us, Dan. That could be us.
34:2511-6. Yeah, that's right. 11-6 with Jameis. It's just...
34:27It really sucks. I'm sure there are a lot of people listening that are a fan of some crappy franchise.
34:34Yeah. Where by week three you know it's over.
34:37Yeah. You know? And their giant schedule is so easy that maybe they can hang around for a bit.
34:42I think the Titans are going to win this week.
34:46So who knows it's over already? The Dolphins know it's over.
34:49Yeah, the Dolphins know it's over. The Browns know it's over.
34:52No, Browns are 1-1. What are you talking about?
34:55They are over. They know it's over. No, Browns are in it.
34:59Sure, sure. They're optimistic. They're 1-1. They feel good but they know realistically that it's over.
35:04Who else? The Commanders, they suck. They have the same thing as the Giants.
35:08They got the J... But at least they didn't look good.
35:12The Giants look good in week one. That's what makes it worse.
35:16If they didn't look good, that's a whole other story.
35:19They look different. I think you would agree, Adam.
35:22I also wouldn't care as much if it wasn't for having a podcast about the team.
35:27That's what makes it such a drag. Ratings are definitely going down.
35:30Oh, they're tanked already. This is the first week after it.
35:34Let's do some fantasy cops. Here we go. This one is from jolly old England from Andy from across the pond.
35:40He says, Dear John, George, Paul, and Ringo. Oh, here we go.
35:44The Beatles, the most overrated band of all time.
35:47Coming in hot. I've said that take before, though.
35:50I mean, look, they should be in like the 15 to 20 range and they're viewed as like one, two, or three.
35:57That's about where I'm at with it. Yeah, all right.
36:00They are obviously the best. I will talk to you after this.
36:03Let's talk about Ringo because I know you have a take on Ringo.
36:07We'll talk about Ringo. All right, so writing from jolly old England where the mood is anything but jolly in our league, we need some justice from stateside.
36:16I had a rare tie in my week two matchup, but when looking closer, I noticed that I have Travis Etn Chan
36:23on my team and I had not been awarded the two points for his two-point conversion against Baltimore.
36:29On further inspection, I realized that when we moved our league from one website to another, the default scoring settings of our
36:36league had not been fully transferred and we were no longer awarding points for a two-point conversion and we had also lost
36:42fractional scoring, which we have always done. I raised this with my league and suggested that we make the changes back to
36:49our intended scoring going forward and leave weeks one and two unadjusted.
36:53Now remember, he tied and he had Travis Etn and he didn't get points for the two-pointer and he still said let's leave it as is.
37:01Instead, the league made the changes retroactively without a formal vote and my tie actually went to a loss by .04 points.
37:08I guess that's decimal scoring. Maybe the other guy had a two-pointer.
37:12I don't know. Would love to know your thoughts.
37:15I feel conflicted. I'm the one that found the scoring format error and it feels like I'm being punished for speaking up
37:21and it doesn't sit well that it's been applied retroactively regardless of whether I am the one who benefits or who in this case it has cost.
37:30In my view, once the result is locked it should be sacrosanct unless it is a clear mathematical error not a scoring format change.
37:37All right, what do you guys think? I think you got to take the L here.
37:42I'm sorry. It's just if the intention was to keep the scoring the same and even though you're the one that pointed
37:49it out and I'm not going to question the integrity of the email here but maybe knew that he was going to
37:56lose which is why he suggested we do it from week two on as opposed to doing it retroactively even though he
38:03thought he had the two-point conversion and locked up and that was the difference but I think just knowing that if there
38:10was no hey, we're changing because we changed platform and it was just a commissioner error of not clicking a button or
38:17changing something that would have kept scoring the same you have to do it retroactively and just keep the scores what they
38:24are and adjust the scores to what they should have been.
38:27Yeah, in these types of leagues with friends I think intention is the lay of the law for me at least that's
38:34the point like we're not trying to technical out technical someone here because this goes back to my Heath Dynasty League point
38:41but I feel like you got to go with what the intention was and the intention was obviously to carry over the rule right?
38:48Yeah, it's tough luck sorry across the pond oh Ringo you think Ringo is like a bad drummer basically so no let
38:55me clarify this Ringo take because it ends up being bad a friend of mine who's a great drummer once told me
39:02and I just piggyback copied his take that Ringo was one of the more overrated drummers then I piggyback copied the take
39:09then I told the take on this podcast about a year or two ago and just got blasted by the comments for
39:16it rightfully so I mean I always I'm getting crushed by the comments and I deserve it for the most part but
39:23I then think you explained it to me off pod that he's a great drummer or something and the reality is I
39:30don't know technically who's a good drummer who's not from a technical standpoint as far as like what sounds cool it doesn't
39:36sound all that cool what Ringo's doing to me but then again like I don't think the Beatles part of my take
39:43on why the Beatles are in my mind a little bit overrated is I think if you're gonna be a top one
39:50viewed as a top one rock band of all time you need to have a really good guitar and like the Allman
39:57Brothers versus the Beatles the Grateful Dead Jerry Garcia versus the Beatles like these are not the same caliber or anywhere remotely
40:04close from a guitar standpoint so well I don't agree there but it's just a different style of music but I was
40:11listening to the Beatles channel on XM or Sirius whatever you want to call it and they were talking about Ringo and
40:18they had some guest on and I don't know who it was it was obviously a drummer and he was talking about
40:25how incredible of a drummer Ringo is and then he was even quoting Phil Collins who was a drummer and I guess
40:31Phil Collins said something about the drums on the song A Day in the Life and how like he said I think
40:38the quote was like they're unfair that's how good Ringo is drumming that song and so then they played the song and
40:45I'm listening to it I'm like what? That to me people like me and Dan who don't know anything about the drums
40:52it's super boring I agree with you Dan like I want a drummer who's like doing cool stuff and Ringo never does
40:59that he never wants to so I do think he's an amazing drummer because based on what every other like drummer says
41:06like real drummer is not Dan's friend but like he's he's boring to listen to he doesn't do anything he doesn't do
41:13any fills he just kind of I'm sure he does some cool stuff technically and he's a lefty which I guess like
41:19gives him a different sound but yeah I'm like this isn't anything that I care to listen to with that said in
41:26the comments Stu says or Stu says Neil Peart is the goat that's all I know that's who I thought was the
41:33best drummer too and it sounds that way to me but I will say this one of my favorite bands now is
41:40Kroongbin and I think I've heard their drummer's amazing but if you listen to him you'd be like that's an amazing drummer
41:47and from what people have told me you know drums they say he's just always quote unquote in the pocket whatever that
41:54means I thought it was football terminology apparently it's drumming terminology too we gotta watch some tape no obviously the best drummer
42:01is Chad Smith dude like come on Chili Peppers does a fantasy football guy came on our show he's the man oh
42:08yes yeah he's the best alright we'll take a break we got more fantasy cops on the other side plus Spotify comments

44:11back with Kurt's question for the fantasy cops I was scouring the waiver wire and I saw that Tucker Craft was on
44:18the waiver wire and I was thrilled but I had work to do so I figured I'd make a claim later in
44:25the day about an hour later I went back to the wire and saw that Tucker Craft was inexplicably gone went to
44:32recent activity and saw it was the commissioner who had dropped Craft and then used his commissioner power to put Craft back
44:39on his team prior to waivers I called the commissioner out on our group thread and he said it was a drop
44:46in error and he meant to drop Michael Mayer I told him there is no moron exception that allows you to reclaim
44:53a player this is the first time this has happened in our decade plus league what is the norm in the fantasy
44:59world is there a moron reclaim exception in waivers so I always think about this if let's say I'm the commissioner and
45:06Adam has made this mistake and it asked me oh crap I dropped the wrong guy I hit the wrong button I
45:13was driving and I hit the wrong you know my kid hit the phone whatever the case may be would I trust
45:20that he's doing making an honest assessment if it was in momentarily you know within a few minutes of the ad drop
45:27or you know close enough that I'm not going to question that he rethought something or read something or something changed yeah
45:34I'm going to obviously do that and if I'm doing that myself as a commissioner I'm probably going to just say hey
45:41guys and make it available to make it you know open to the league like hey I hit the wrong button or
45:47whatever just so you know people know that I'm not trying to do something dishonest yes communication I think that's all we
45:54need to say about that one communicate let everyone know immediately or as soon as you figure it out don't do anything
46:01sneaky but yes there is a moron reclaimed exception in waivers next one is from the commissioner commissioner writes a weekly recap
46:08from scratch each week loved by many in the league however the league had become stale during the long preseason and anticlimactic
46:15first couple of weeks the commissioner decided at the bottom of the recap this week to give a bonus fantasy point to
46:22the first three people who respond to him saying that they read it one point was added for each of the teams
46:29including the team facing the commissioner however one league mate the loud obnoxious one is boycotting saying this is stupid and it's
46:36collusion what would you do let the point stand reverse it back or something else immediate reversal this is horrific as somebody
46:42who is the commissioner of a home league and writes a 6,000 to 8,000 word power rankings recap of the draft every
46:49year used to do bi-weekly it got too much with work you want people to respond you want people to read it
46:56but you cannot affect the outcome of the league based on you like what is this confirmation for you did a good
47:03job a pat on the back like this can so easily be colluded first of all a there's no proof anybody read
47:10it they just responded to it first well we don't know like what he said hey if you respond to this with
47:17whatever you get a point what I would do is if you want to do something like that I'd give one extra
47:24fab dollar whatever yeah you can't affect the league I'm kind of with you Dan I think it's a funny idea but
47:31I think it's a no all right one more fantasy cops this is from Charles we have a Josh Jacobs issue in
47:37our ESPN league when we drafted Jacobs he was not on the commissioner exemplist yet once he was the ESPN platform designated
47:44him allowed him to be put in an IR spot sorry they didn't label him like day to day or out I
47:51don't know what they did but they allowed Josh Jacobs to be put in an IR spot he has the manager has
47:58still been able to make waiver he has an ineligible player in his IR he has to make him take Jacobs out
48:05of the IR spot he claims he isn't trying to cheat but the platform has let him operate as normal with Jacobs
48:12in the IR and since he isn't suspended the manager is saying he should be able to stay in the gray area
48:19our commissioner doesn't like to make executive decisions to put it there's a roster restriction of they have to be either IR
48:26or PUP to be placed in IR spots so I don't know what other platforms do completely but I know on sleeper
48:32I believe the same thing you gotta be on IR to be put on IR but obviously this platform allowed him to
48:39put Jacobs in IR but that's a commissioner thing though so that shouldn't be a platform thing I can't believe he would
48:46allow that this is a tough one do people know going into the draft no he wasn't on the commissioner exempt list
48:53I think if you're allowing Jacobs to be placed in an IR spot you have to allow all non IR players that
49:00are injured or my remedy would be he has to be on your bench agreed somebody in the chat hates my hoodie
49:07they light me up more don't worry I'll take one split pea soup colored hoodie please as if you would ever eat
49:14a split pea soup yeah that's true this isn't the best looking hoodie I got it for like five dollars it what
49:21did you say Dan what's up with the eye situation the glasses yeah I've got a clogged duct on my left eyelid
49:27so it's not pink eye yeah it's not it has not my eye looks fine it's my eyelid and I'm on antibiotics
49:34so I'm hoping in the next few days this will go away when it rains it pours for Giants fans just thank
49:41you for the compliments on the sweatshirt on the hoodie some guy really hated it no it wasn't an Amazon clearance sale
49:48but alright that's it is the good you are in the RB2 range if that happens try and trade him immediately and
49:55this is the type of player that you can sell depending on a wide variety of situations.
50:00Package him for maybe A.J. Brown or Nico Collins or one of these injured wide receivers.
50:05Try and get somebody who's struggling that you think still has plenty of upside at whatever position.
50:10So if you don't need Judkins moving forward, try and see if you can get something good for him in return because
50:17there's probably not going to be a lot of favorable game scripts then moving forward and probably not have great scenarios for him as well.
50:25So I would agree with Dan. Hold Chase Brown as long as you can.
50:30I've also kind of moved up Judkins rest of the season a lot after watching the Browns tape against the Bucs.
50:36I was shocked and surprised at how they moved the football and I'm remembering just how good Todd Monken is at designing offense.
50:43All right. So then let me ask you this.
50:46My personal opinion is that I haven't seen the explosion from Quinshawn Judkins that I saw last year.
50:52And I know the yards per carry are really bad last year, but he was one of my favorite running backs on tape.
50:59He did a lot. It's so much of it that he just couldn't control because he was being met in the backfield on every play.
51:07And I thought he was primed to have a great second season, but I'm not quite seeing the same player there, but
51:14I don't feel super confident in the take. It's not enough.
51:17You know, there hasn't really been enough for me to make that take, but I just, I didn't love what I saw.
51:24What did you think? I think that's a really strong tape last year.
51:28We went back, Jacob and I, we thought he was actually the best rookie on tape, but this year that explosion has not been there yet.
51:36He has not maximized what he's had. The Browns have tried at times to lean into him early down, run first down, run second down.
51:44They've had to go away from it, which shows me he's not quite back.
51:48Plus like the Lachlan plays in that offense. I saw him get some snaps in that game when I was watching the tape, which was shocking to me.
51:57They, it's not like, but then again, like if they're going to score more points, I'm he's going to score some part
52:04of why I was so out on him is that I thought this offense would look a lot like it did week one.
52:11And I was pretty enthused by what Watson put on tape as crazy as that sounds.
52:16Yeah. It's funny. I feel like just off top of my head, I feel like the Browns are never in the red zone or the green zone.
52:24Cause like Boston's two touchdowns were long ones. I can't really remember.
52:28They almost had a third on that third and six that he put up the other 17 yard at the end, the
52:3517 yard touchdown that was from the red zone to win the game.
52:39But he also had the third and six that just Sean put a great ball out there to Boston and he just
52:46didn't get his feet in for, um, that would have been another touchdown from the red zone.
52:51So I look, it could be the bucks defense is really bad, but it looked to me like Watson's accuracy was what
52:58that was the best I'd seen Watson looked in years.
53:01All right. There are two teams that have run only two plays from inside the 10 yard line.
53:07Cleveland is one of them. The others in the AFC East Miami.
53:11Oh, the wasn't it? Oh, Atlanta now just got it.
53:14Um, Miami has run six. Miami has run six plays from inside the 10.
53:18Is it the Jets or the Patriots? The Patriots, the Patriots.
53:22Oh my God. Seahawks week one. Next Spotify question.
53:24Sorry from Jack. Try and trade digs and bill for George Pickens.
53:28Yeah. Yes. Lock it up. Do that quick. If it's done, if you have that offer out there, you do it quick
53:35before he takes it off the table. It's easy from Nick.
53:39I lost both Caleb Williams and Jackson dart. Should I drop?
53:42Yeah, you can drop dart. Um, yeah, drop dart for, for price.
53:46Yeah. Don't know why you read that. Uh, it's from three days ago.
53:50Sorry about that. I really need to hear that.
53:53Should I trade from a postman trade Swift for Hampton straight up Swift to get Hampton?
53:58Yeah. I think I would do it. Um, I would do it.
54:01You, you would, you wouldn't. Okay. I would, you would.
54:04So two yeses. We got two to four weeks is the projected timeline for Caleb.
54:09Is that right? Or that wasn't confirmed. I saw a rapid board.
54:13I think that's fair estimate, but you're also dealing with a timeshare in Chicago.
54:17That's not going away where Hampton's still going to get the majority of carries by hopefully a big share.
54:23Yeah. It depends how you like, it depends how much you buy into the, uh, uh, charges offense.
54:29Cause the Swift was in a timeshare last year and Kyron was in a timeshare last year and Swift was only like RB 18 ish per game.
54:37Kyron. Yeah. And sweat. No, Kyron was a little better.
54:40He was like RB 14. Was it for Kyron or for Hampton?
54:44No, no, it's for Hampton. I was just saying, you look at these guys who were in these great offenses with great
54:51offensive lines, even though they were in a timeshare, they were really good Swift right now though.
54:56Like I guess it is worth noting. He's doing a lot better right now than he did in those last 11 games
55:03when he started splitting with, uh, with, uh, Mononga.
55:06I don't know if they, there's a reason for that.
55:09Maybe their offense is just better. Maybe it's just a fluke, but I, you know what?
55:14I probably guess I go Hampton then. Um, all right.
55:17Last one from Fernando. Should I trade Hampton and Rasheed Rice for Devon HN and Josh Downs Hampton and rice for HN and downs?
55:25I wouldn't know you would Jamie. I would not.
55:28Okay. Okay. Yeah. That's the easy note for me.
55:30Yeah. All right. Let's go to our Apple podcast questions.
55:33This one is from what's the hope of HN at this point.
55:37No, you're being a little too hard there. It's not like he's going to have the worst season ever.
55:43What's the over under touchdowns for Devon HN rest of season, right?
55:47That's the question. Six, seven, seven, six, seven. I take the under by a lot.
55:52No, that's what I'm saying. This offense looks really bad.
55:55He's going to have a two or three touchdown game and they're not blocking well either for him, which is surprising because
56:02they have the same guys from last year. Uh, they should just run the same scheme as last year.
56:08They're without McDaniel. They really have trying to slow it though.
56:11They're not, it's like, we should have expected this.
56:14I don't think they're trying to lose Jamie. We have, we have, uh, we have the running joke in, uh, in, in
56:21the green room where we watch games that whenever these bad teams get close to winning games.
56:26So like the jets last week when Aaron Glenn completely effed up the end of regulation, that was crazy that we get
56:33the lose the game, the call from upstairs. I mean, it's crazy to some extent, but we also were just, you know,
56:40we're only like five years removed from the dolphins getting caught doing this, right?
56:44So why they lost the draft pick? Cause they got caught tanking sort of.
56:48Yeah. Uh, by the way, that's why they always, I always bring up the breeze hall season, right?
56:54The breeze hall 2023. He was a number two running back in fantasy.
56:58He was number five per game. He was on a team that scored like 13 points per game.
57:04They were 31st in scoring. He did not score his first touchdown until week five.
57:08I'm sure people were freaking out weeks two, three, and four.
57:12Breece hall had nine rushing yards, 18 rushing yards, 56 rushing yards, almost no receiving yards.
57:17He had three holes at the fields year. Who was the quarterback that year?
57:21Wasn't field. No, it wasn't fields. It was probably Darnold or Zach Wilson or something.
57:26It's probably Zach Wilson. Um, yeah. So 2023, 2023 was that the year of a Flacco and Zach Wilson.
57:32I don't know. Zach Wilson in week one. I don't know.
57:35Whatever it was. You can actually move the 31st points per game.
57:39And they had a wide receiver on their team that had 140 targets.
57:43He, he's still produced like, I don't know. Yeah.
57:46That's the case for him. I understand all the cases against him.
57:50Apple podcast question. This one from Chico cat. I need a flex this week.
57:54Coker Kincaid or downs half PPR. Kincaid. I go Kincaid also can bench Kincaid at this point.
57:59This is from hindsight on benchable player. Dear Eddie, Kurt, Scott and Brad.
58:03Oh, I might get this one. Eddie, Kurt. I mean, it sounds very nineties grunge.
58:08They're all front men, right? Oh, who's Brad? Eddie Vedder.
58:11It's Eddie Vedder, Kurt Cobain. I'm guessing Scott Weiland.
58:14And I don't know who Brad is. Which one is Scott Weiland from?
58:18Stone Temple Pilots. Oh, you're, you're a band. Yep.
58:21And then what was the last one? Brad. Three doors down.
58:24Three doors down. Brad Arnold from three doors down.
58:27Maybe they're considered grunge. No, but I don't think Stone Temple Pilots should be considered grunge either.
58:32The nineties rock. All right. Okay. I needed RB two.
58:36I traded Jadarian Price, Colston Loveland and Baker Mayfield for Swift and Jordan Tyson.
58:40Price, Loveland and Baker for Swift and Tyson. B plus.
58:43Nice. And he has Brock Bowers, by the way, coming Swift and Tyson.
58:47Yeah. Yeah. I think you're getting the best player in the deal by far.
58:52So it's always going to be at least B plus for me.
58:55We got a grade the trade from Grant. He said, Oh, Oh yeah.
58:59Dan doesn't know this one. Dear Jake, Rick, Willie and Roger.
59:03I might know this. You don't. I might know that Jake, Willie, Rick and Roger.
59:07Yeah. I've already won a dollar that you don't know.
59:11That's the Jetsons. What? I don't know. Uh, what's, what'd you win the dollar off?
59:15Screw the fastball, Ricky. Forget about the curveball, Ricky.
59:18It's a major league. Major league. Yeah. What'd you win the fastball for?
59:22I was going to get that. Cause just cause the dollar, what I would the fastball, what I would the dollar for, uh, Scarface.
59:30I knew you'd seen Scarface and I knew you had that one.
59:33I knew you hadn't seen major league. No, no.
59:36But then you didn't do another one. There's only those two are from early in the week.
59:41Yeah. Those are the only two we've done. Yeah.
59:44So it's Adam plus two for now. Yeah. I'm going to set a line for the year at how long did you plan to do this?
59:52How often do you plan to do this? Whenever, anytime it comes up, I'm just going to say did Dan see that
59:59movie, but here's the problem though, is Adam always gets to decide and then I have to either, I have to go against him.
60:07Oh, that's fine. I'm happy to switch off. You know, mix that up.
60:11Mix that up. Yeah. But you're, you're, you're too forgetful to ever say it.
60:15Well, I think we can agree. You don't have to disagree every time.
60:19If you agree with me, then just agree with me.
60:22Yeah. Go by what you think. Go by what you think.
60:26And if it doesn't work for each one, let's say we have another 20 of these over the course of this.
60:32Is that too much? 12? How about five? You think five total?
60:36I'm going to guess knowing like, gamer, Eric and Johnny airport.
60:40They'll start saying, Hey, has Dan seen this in the chat?
60:43We can do it right now in the chat.
60:46Here's one in the chat there. Adam's eye on fantasy football.
60:49Very good. Yeah. This is a good one. Has Dan seen my cousin Vinny?
60:54Jamie guess first. I think I know the answer.
60:56I'm going to say yes. Yes. He's seen it.
60:59Yeah. I've seen my cousin Vinny. Yeah. So that would count.
61:03So Jamie just answer honestly from this point. Cause otherwise if you're both answering, honestly, I think the, the over under is Adam minus.
61:10No, I just think it should come up organically.
61:13If somebody wants to throw movies in the chat and then if we disagree, we'll make a bet.
61:19Okay. I do think Adam knows me a little bit better, but well, you knew my, you knew the reasoning behind why I knew you'd see a face.
61:27Well, that was a great reasoning. That was unbelievable logic by you that I wish I was Italian.
61:33And so because of that, I've watched every single gangster movie.
61:36That's a spot on. I have not missed a gang.
61:40All right. Here we go. Has Dan seen Donnie Brasco?
61:43Yes. That's a good one. Yes, he has. No.
61:45Wow. I knew it. I freaking knew it. I knew it.
61:49That's one I've missed. That's amazing. I missed a great picture.
61:52It's hilarious. That's one I've missed. We just saw it the other day.
61:56Um, all right. A question from Grant is I have Colson Loveland.
62:00It's a 12 team PPR super flex league. I'm two and Oh, I traded Dak and Jordan love for Bowers and Chuck.
62:07That's a lot. Wow. I still have Kyler Murray and Sam Darnold.
62:11Oh, no. I don't like this trade Dak and love for Bowers and Chuck.
62:15He has love. I actually, I love this trade in a super flex league.
62:20Well, you have quarterbacks to cover yourself and quarterbacks to cover him and Brad Bowers could be now.
62:25So you look at it this way. Look at it this way.
62:29Love and Chuck is maybe a wash rest of season.
62:32I think you could make the case that Chuck is better.
62:35And would you trade Dak for Bowers? If you had the quarterbacks to cover yourself?
62:40And I think most people say yes. No, the answer is yes.
62:44Yeah, I wouldn't. Okay. Flex league. Uh, but look, I'm just, I want to see what Bowers looks like.
62:50I'm not comfortable trading for Bowers right now. That's fair too.
62:53Cause it could be another one of these broken Bowers years.
62:57Yeah. Unfortunately. Um, I let's see if I have any more questions here, but the health of that offense is better than we even could have expected.
63:05I think that part of it is interesting. And we saw last year, Kyle pits eight with Kirk cousins.
63:11So there is also the upside for that to be really good.
63:15Yeah. Most of that was without Drake London, but here's quack.
63:18Still though. He just, sorry. Um, quick question. If case Keenum starts Sunday, would you start case Keenum or Jacoby reset?
63:25Prisett, especially with both out. Yeah. Yeah. It's gotta be preset.
63:28You can't play Keenum against the Eagles. So I was a little probably down on the, or sounded down on the Cardinals
63:35offense earlier today on Friday, uh, with the Bosa news.
63:38Uh, I think you got to change your, uh, I, I changed my opinion on the Cardinals.
63:44So like I moved Michael Wilson up, I moved Jacoby preset up.
63:47I think it's such a big loss and they're probably chasing points on top of it.
63:52Uh, Brissett was unreal last year. Uh, 47 of 57 forget just the volume just to be that accurate.
63:58The Niners you're talking about, huh? Against the Niners.
64:01Against Niners. It was no Bosa. They had no pass.
64:04So different though that it's really just schematically so different.
64:07And I love the way they've played, they're rallying to the ball.
64:11They've looked so good. Oh, well listen, it's a different, I'm not expecting him to be worldly, you know, uh, you know,
64:18a top 12 quarterback, but comparing him to case Keenum, it's easy.
64:22And just looking at the scenario now, we, we, we have one game where his volume has been up.
64:28And I think this is another game where their volume will be up.
64:32And typically when that's been the case for Brissett is numbers have been good.
64:36All right. Has Dan seen the faculty? No. Yeah.
64:39No chance. He's never even heard of that. No chance.
64:42What is that? What is it even about? It's a horror movie from the, like maybe right around 2000, I'm guessing.
64:49I almost never do horror, but I did do obsession on my flight to Chicago for the, it was the first horror movie I've seen like years.
64:57Never heard of it. Unbelievably good. Oh, really? You guys see that movie?
65:01No, I never heard of it. It's, it was like the most popular movie of the year.
65:06You didn't see that? No. It was like a low budget.
65:10Some kid made it and it made millions and it was just phenomenally done in my opinion.
65:15Oh, cool. All right. Faculty is actually not bad.
65:18I mean, it's like a campy horror movie, but it's not bad.
65:22A question. Last question from Apple podcast is from Greek Chris.
65:25Oh, what are your thoughts on trading Brian Thomas Jr.
65:28for Quinchon Judkins? Yes, I would do that. I think you're, you're going to find, I hate to say this, but similar
65:35production from a lot of receivers at this point from Brian Thomas, if Judkins hits, it's hard to find that type of production at that position.
65:43It's the same. The one weird note about that is through these two games, it has been super concentrated in the Jacksonville
65:50Jaguars passing game where it's been like Parker Washington has a Nikoa, a poke up roll, like 40%, but Brian Thomas has
65:57been like 24% first read target share. Like he's been up there.
66:01They've been trying to get him the ball, but at the same time, he's also not being used in two, in two receiver sets.
66:08So it's like, it's a little good, a little bad.
66:11That's not enough. I think you got to try to take the chance on Judkins being a difference maker.
66:17Earlier today, we asked why is Dan late wrong answers only?
66:21Let's go through some of them. By the way, Rico Daddle officially ruled out.
66:25Oh, okay. His pizza had extra mushrooms. You know, listen, now that I'm back in Jersey, the pizza's fine.
66:31Now that I got out of that pizza time range, whatever the frick that place is called.
66:36Is that frick? Stop acting like you don't know what it's called.
66:40You say it and then you're like, whatever it's called.
66:43Disgusting place. How the hell can you make pizza?
66:46Dan was on the phone with the people from Sheetz.
66:49He's developing new sandwiches for them. Yeah, I should, dude.
66:52I'd be good at that. Trust me. Dan is late.
66:55You know what my idea was? My friend, my friend knows a bangle shop.
67:00Do you think it's a good idea? No one's ever thought of this.
67:04You know how everything's the most popular bagel? No.
67:07Oh, everything bagel. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. A spicy everything.
67:09You make a spicy everything. Everybody's obsessed with spicy chicken, salmon, spicy, this spicy everything.
67:14You just add like cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, something like that.
67:18You mix and match spicy everything. Put it on the menu.
67:21If you own a bagel shop, he wants to do it, but he says he's going to do it.
67:27What'd you say? Call the Schneier. Oh, I would love to have a sandwich named after me unless it was the Larry David.
67:34Have you guys seen that? No. You never saw that curb where the deli owner names a sandwich after Larry David, but it has like capers, white fish.
67:43And then he tries to like pawn it off to Ted Danson.
67:47He's like, yeah, do you mind just, you're not in the deli a lot.
67:51Can you just, can we trade sandwiches? And he's like, sure.
67:55Of course I'll do that. And Larry's like, yeah, what's on yours?
67:58And Larry's like, well, there's a caper. He's like going through the ingredients and trying to like minimize it.
68:04That's awesome. Dan is late because he's watching the Rocky franchise.
68:08Definitely not. That I, I, I, at some point I got to watch this Rocky one.
68:13I have to find time to, to do it, but I'm watching furious.
68:17If you guys seen furious, it's so good. No, man.
68:20You haven't seen the Jamie. I didn't hear you.
68:23I mean, you're awesome. Furious, the TV show. No.
68:26Phenomenal. Dan's roommate is cooking pasta shirtless in the kitchen.
68:29Dan is late because he has to pick up his nose strips.
68:32I need nose strips. I haven't worn them in a while and they were helping me breathe so much.
68:38I really need to get back on that bandwagon.
68:41I can barely breathe. Okay. Does Dan know the song barely breathing by Duncan Sheik?
68:46I don't even know what Duncan Sheik is. Duncan Sheik.
68:49Yeah. You would just die. Did he? I think so.
68:52Oh no. That's so sad. All right. Google that.
68:55Cause I don't want to be mistaken. Yeah. Duncan Sheik was like, that was one of the best one hit wonders of, of the time.
69:03Nico Collins ruled out. Oh, he did die. Two weeks with Nico already.
69:07Uh, DJ Moore spoke to reporters after practice. He said he was feeling good and all signs were good signs on if he's good to go Sunday.
69:15This is according to Joe Buscoglio of the athletic.
69:18Uh, we shall see. You need to check a few more boxes and then we're good.
69:23But here we go. Let's read some questions from the chat to finish the show.
69:28And here we go. We'll start with this one.
69:31Choose two. Justin Herbert, Jameis Winston, Daniel Jones, Deshaun Watson.
69:34I would go with Herbert and Watson. Um, what was it?
69:37What Winston? Who was the other? Just look at the screen.
69:41Daniel Jones. Oh, there it is. Deshaun Watson. No, you can't, you can't play Winston in that weather.
69:46Jones. I'm not going to play either. Yeah. It's got to be the two.
69:51Jamie said, Herbert and Watson. Okay. From pocket chucks.
69:53I'm very deep at wide receiver. Oh, dear George, Jane, Judy, and Elroy.
69:57There you go. Who are they? No idea who that is.
70:01Oh my gosh. Wow. You just said it. Elroy Jenkins.
70:04Who's Elroy? What's up? Get me off this crazy thing.
70:07Uh, it's, uh, these are the Jetsons. Oh yeah.
70:10That was just like a random show that I named.
70:13I've never seen the Jetsons. Oh, I have to give some parenting advice in a minute here, but I'm very deep at wide receiver.
70:21I need an RB. Advice? Yeah. I need an RB three.
70:24Would you trade T Higgins, Josh Downs, or Luther Burden for Chuba Hubbard?
70:28One of them. Yeah. If I could trade Burden for Hubbard, I'm doing it right now.
70:33You would trade Burden before you trade Downs? I'd trade Downs for Hubbard.
70:37I would trade Burden right now because Downs might be awesome with Alec Pierce out.
70:42I think, yeah. Fine. I'd trade either one for Hubbard.
70:45I think Burden has a better chance of winning your playoffs than Downs does.
70:49Okay. I'd rather keep Burden. Jamie, ready for some parenting advice?
70:53Of course. You're a little too old. Maybe Dan's a little too young, but was talking with one of our coworkers, Allison.
71:00Shout out to Allison. She, her kids are about my age.
71:03My kids are eight and six. She recommended that I show in Paramount Plus promo here.
71:08I show them Legends of the Hidden Temple and Guts from when I was a kid.
71:13Yeah. My kids love them and I enjoy the hell out of watching them.
71:17So if you have kids, if you're probably still fun to watch.
71:21They're great. They're really great. And the Agro Craig.
71:24Yeah. But, but you, uh, but you don't, you didn't watch Legends of the Hidden Temple and Guts, did you?
71:30I'm not going to mean, yeah, yeah, no, you should watch.
71:34I'm not going to do it on air right now, but in high school I did what my friends termed as.
71:40So I, it's one of the few wins I have for my friend group that usually knocks on me.
71:46The best Guts impression ever of Michael Malley and then of Mo.
71:50I had a great Michael. Let's come on. I can't do it.
71:54We're never going to ask you to do it again.
71:57It's not safe for work. It's not safe for work at all.
72:01I have questions about Mike's, um, let's just call it soberness on that show.
72:05I have big questions about Mike on that show.
72:08Let's go to Mo. Mo. Yeah. All right. We have Tony in purple at their place.
72:13Yep. All right. Uh, which one's better now that you've watched them back?
72:17Legends. It's a more fun game, I think, but the Agro Craig finish is as good as a guess.
72:23It's a guess. It is. All right. Would Terrence Ferguson be worth starting over Adonai Mitchell, Xavier Hutchinson or Michael Pittman?
72:29Yes. Okay. Definitely Hutchinson. Definitely. Yeah. Yep. Grade the trade half PPR Stevenson, Rice and Godwin Stevenson, Rice and Godwin for flowers and Mononghi C minus.
72:37Um, I don't know. Like the Stevenson Henderson is going to be annoying all year, I think.
72:43So it's going to be hard to predict Mononghi is not much better.
72:47I think I like the flower side better somehow.
72:50I'll tell you what, Oh, you said that's a C plus then for you.
72:54Yeah. You're getting. Okay. So if for she rice gets back to himself, then it's a loss.
72:59I think if for she rice is getting back to himself, I don't know.
73:04I'm not. Everything Jacob said is like their role is completely different this year.
73:08That's the bigger problem. It's not good. The role Drake may or Bryce young for this week.
73:13Yeah. Bryce start one Spears gain. Well, Rashad white, Rashad white.
73:17Oh yeah. It has to be Rashad white. Gain.
73:20Well's barely used in that offense. Debo Samuel or Luther burden.
73:23Debo Harvey. Jamie's so quick with these. I got to get them fast.
73:27Cause I'm usually then it otherwise sounds like I'm just picking the same thing.
73:31He's been just say, yeah, I agree with Jamie Coleman.
73:35I got that Debo in first with Coleman likely out RJ Harvey or Travis E 10.
73:40Travis digs are Pollard in the flex half PPR digs.
73:43I kind of like Pollard this week with Spears banged up and the giants run defense being what it is.
73:49Yeah. Spears may not play it. Titans offense is going to, what would you guess?
73:54Tony Pollard's yards per carry is right now. Just based on where you frame that 4.4, 3.6 before you said that I would have said 3.1, 4.7.
74:02Oh yeah. I knew that was a frame. You got to lead.
74:06Listen to the leading of the question Adams. Well, yeah, I know who has more, who has more.
74:11Should I drop Loveland for Juwan Johnson? I have no, no, no, no.
74:15You're going to come on. Play here. Uh, Herbert Winston or Watson again?
74:20I don't know why the four point passing touchdown.
74:22Uh, yeah, Herbert. And then finally the real last one Malik Washington or Darnell Mooney.
74:27I weirdly think Jayla Mooney's I'm going Mooney here.
74:30I'm going Washington with the weather. Everyone's going Washington, but I'm going Mooney.
74:34They look good to get James because all presee all training camp.
74:38And Mooney, right. Mooney ran with James. This is a terrible.
74:41I don't, I don't disagree with that. I think we saw, we saw it with Mooney with members, Cedric Tillman and Jerry
74:48Judy, both guys went nuts and it would, you know, Tillman was actually playing great in those three games.
74:54I just would, for this week I'd play Washington.
74:57Just the weather is probably going to ruin it.
74:59Yeah, exactly. Play Washington based on the weather. Fine.
75:02All right. Uh, Jamie has to pick the opposite of whatever Dan says for the rest of the show to see if Dan agrees.
75:10Well, unfortunately the show is over next week. We, yeah, next week that's coming up next week.
75:15Say something nice about Adam. Adam is, and I've said this to him before.
75:19No offense to some of the shows that maybe have done better.
75:23I think he's the best host of any fantasy football show by far that I've listened to.
75:29I don't listen to that many, but the ones I listened to, I think he does it better than anyone by far.
75:35I can't disagree with that. Just the way he hosts.
75:39That doesn't mean I always agree with this. Other hosts have better eyes.
75:43Yeah. I thought you were going to say something.
75:45It doesn't mean he's the best looking host. Definitely not.
75:49And it certainly doesn't mean he's the best male host.
75:52That's a whole different category that he tried to once claim for himself.
75:56You can't claim anything for your own self, but you are really good at doing this.
76:01So all right. I got to do radio. See you guys.
76:04Yeah, we got to go. We'll talk to you on a Sunday morning, 11 a.m.
