Aaron Jones

PositiveMatchup13:53

Aaron Jones has top-10 potential this week against the Dolphins, who allow the most fantasy points to opposing running backs. His increased involvement in the passing game makes him a high-upside play.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

NegativeUsage7:13

With De'Von Achane out, Alvin Kamara is a volume-dependent play against Atlanta. His fantasy value relies heavily on receiving work, as the Falcons have been effective at limiting opposing run games.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveSleeper12:01

Braylon Allen is the preferred Jets backfield option, expected to lead the team in touches against a weak Bears run defense. He is a viable low-end RB2 start.

Insight page
PositiveRole36:44

Braylon Allen is considered a low-end number-two running back start, especially with Breece Hall expected to miss time.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveValue46:25

The source suggests that trading for Breece Hall is a good long-term move, even if it requires weathering his current injury absence.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection31:21

Young is a solid mid-range QB1 starter for this week; the source argues that the Lions' defense will provide less pressure than the Browns, allowing Young to throw frequently in a high-scoring game.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

PositiveProjection40:46

Dalton Schultz is a recommended start. He is the clear number two option in the Texans' passing game, and the matchup against the Cowboys is favorable as they have struggled against tight ends.

Insight page

Darren Waller

PositiveProjection41:25

Darren Waller is set up for a smash week due to a favorable matchup against a Lions defense missing key safeties. He is a high-priority start, though his value may be slightly downgraded if Jalen Coker plays.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveProjection45:35

David Montgomery is recommended as a start over Mondre Stevenson and Sky Moore in standard formats.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

PositiveSleeper26:33

Samuel is a sleeper candidate who could benefit from Mike Evans' rib injury; the source expects him to work underneath against the Broncos, avoiding Patrick Surtain and utilizing his YAC ability.

Insight page
PositiveProjection45:42

Deebo Samuel is a preferred start over David Montgomery in full PPR leagues if Mike Evans is ruled out.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeValue22:00

The source suggests that if one must start a Browns wide receiver, Boston is the preferred option, though he is at best a number four fantasy receiver.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeUsage21:09

Metcalf is viewed as a boom-bust number three wide receiver who has mostly busted so far; however, the source intends to keep starting him because he remains Aaron Rodgers' clear favorite target with high volume and air yards.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection34:23

Maye is a sit candidate who has been 'brutal' in weeks two and three; the source does not expect a monster game against Buffalo and believes the Patriots will rely on their run game while Maye continues to struggle.

Insight page
NegativeProjection34:43

The source advises against starting Drake Maye, noting he has been brutal in weeks two and three and is not ranked in the top 24 quarterbacks. The Patriots are expected to lean on their run game while Maye struggles, and he faces a difficult matchup against Buffalo.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

NegativeProjection24:56

Egbuka is a sit candidate because the Buccaneers' offense looks awful and he is now playing with an undrafted rookie quarterback who is expected to run frequently, limiting pass attempts.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveSleeper36:23

Geno Smith is a recommended sleeper start, preferred over Sam Darnold, Justin Herbert, and Drake Maye. The source notes the Jets' offense relies heavily on him, and he is a better reader of coverages than Jalen Hurts.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeProjection42:16

Harold Fannin is not recommended as a top-12 tight end. His previous production was based on improvisational plays rather than structural design, and he is not expected to repeat a multi-touchdown performance.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveProjection39:05

Despite two disappointing games, Isaiah Likely remains a top-12 tight end start. The source emphasizes his upside if he maintains an eight-target-per-game volume.

Insight page

Jacoby Brissett

PositiveProjection37:27

Jacoby Brissett is in the low-end starting conversation for the week. He provides a solid floor, having scored 18.5+ fantasy points in 13 of his last 15 games.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeRole16:30

Jadarian Price is a talented runner but is difficult to trust due to a three-way backfield committee in Seattle. He is only recommended for desperate situations until he secures a larger role.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeProjection18:36

The source identifies Winston as the worst quarterback seen through the first three weeks, citing his slow processing, inability to read defenses, and diminished arm velocity as major liabilities for the Giants' passing game.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeBust24:13

Williams is considered a flex option against Carolina, but the source warns that he has been a 'bust' through three weeks and may be limited if the Panthers focus on taking away deep plays, leaving him behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, and Jahmyr Gibbs.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveProjection29:54

Goff is a locked-in QB1 who should be started every week; the source notes he has scored 20+ fantasy points in all three games and faces a favorable matchup against a depleted Panthers secondary.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

NegativeMatchup5:06

Javante Williams faces a difficult matchup against Houston, the toughest run defense in the league. While he is a volume-based start, he is considered a low-end RB2 with limited upside, though he may have better touchdown odds and pass-catching involvement than Saquon Barkley.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveRole17:13

The source views Waddle as a bona fide number two wide receiver for this week, noting that while he may be a number three option in some upcoming weeks, he is a strong start against San Francisco; the source highlights his week two performance as evidence of his potential.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveProjection0:44

Jalen Warren is a strong start for Week 4 against the Browns. Despite the short week and a decent Browns defense, he is the feature back for the Steelers and has the potential to finish as a top-12 fantasy running back. He is expected to produce similar value to Chuba Hubbard's 15-point performance from last week.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeDepth Chart9:04

Jalen Wright is expected to handle two-thirds of the Dolphins' backfield work with De'Von Achane out. However, the team's overall offensive struggles and poor offensive line play make him a low-upside start against Minnesota.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveProjection28:02

Addison is a recommended start regardless of Justin Jefferson's status; the source believes he has huge upside if Jefferson is out and remains a viable WR3 even if Jefferson plays.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveBreakout22:39

Downs is praised for his elite route running, burst, and speed; the source expects a big game against Washington's secondary, which has allowed six touchdowns to wide receivers in three weeks.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection35:01

Justin Herbert is considered untrustworthy due to poor performance, averaging 229 passing yards with three touchdowns and four interceptions. He faces a tough Seattle defense that may get Julian Love back, making him a sit candidate.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

PositiveBreakout39:50

Kenyon Sadiq is a top-12 tight end and a recommended waiver wire add. His breakout performance was supported by eight targets, and he is expected to see continued opportunities while A.D. Mitchell is out.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeProjection33:26

Murray is a sit candidate; the source has no faith in his passing ability, noting that he looks 'gross' and that the team has no incentive to let him throw frequently, making him less efficient than other available starters.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

NegativeInjury26:06

McConkey is a sit candidate; he is dealing with a foot injury on top of a previous rib injury and faces a tough Seattle defense that has allowed only one receiver to reach double-digit PPR points this season.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeProjection18:16

The source expresses extreme concern regarding Nabers, arguing that he should not be rostered or started in fantasy football due to Jameis Winston's poor quarterback play, which includes slow reads, decreased velocity, and an inability to get the ball to his receivers.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveSleeper27:20

Washington is a sleeper with a 27% target share; the source likes his usage in the backfield and on screens, projecting him for around 12 fantasy points against Minnesota.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeProjection43:38

Mark Andrews is a sit candidate due to his recent poor play and inability to score touchdowns, despite a theoretically favorable matchup against the Titans.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

NegativeProjection31:52

Stafford is a low-end QB1 starter; the source expects an efficient game rather than a blow-up performance, noting that while he has a good track record against Vic Fangio, he is ranked behind higher-upside options like Goff and Shuck.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon II

NegativeUsage9:04

Ollie Gordon is expected to receive only one-third of the Dolphins' backfield touches. He is considered an inefficient runner and a poor fantasy option despite recent FAAB spending by managers.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

NegativeBust15:05

Amarion Hampton is a fade due to poor rush efficiency, bad vision, and a declining snap share (42% last week). He is not a feature back or a reliable pass-catcher, making him a risky start against Seattle.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveInjury23:25

Puka Nakua is trending toward playing in Week 4 after returning to practice. Despite potential rust or health concerns, his high target volume makes him a must-start receiver.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

PositiveSleeper35:44

Sam Darnold is viewed as a sleeper and a better start than Justin Herbert or Drake Maye. The Seahawks' offense is more pass-heavy this year, and Darnold remains efficient with JSN as a key target.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeUsage3:25

Saquon Barkley is a risky start at RB13 due to a tough matchup against the Rams and declining involvement in the passing game. He has only run routes on about a third of the team's snaps in games he finished, making it difficult for him to produce without high rushing volume.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveProjection23:50

McLaurin is a recommended start, as his target perspective has improved over the last two games and he has a strong historical connection with Marcus Mariota, having produced 14+ PPR points in four of six games together last year.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

PositiveValue18:52

Tony Pollard is a viable low-end RB2 against the Ravens. Despite the perceived tough matchup, he has been efficient as a rusher and is expected to see 16-18 carries with Tyjay Spears not at 100% health.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveRole42:57

Tucker Craft is viewed as a sit. He is not earning targets at his previous rate, is struggling with drops, and is not producing after the catch, which is necessary given the target competition from Christian Watson and Matthew Golden.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveUsage20:16

Woody Marks is gaining momentum in the Texans' backfield and is the preferred pass-catching option. He is making progress in short-yardage situations and could reach 10 PPR points against Dallas, especially if Houston is trailing.

0:00It's a week 4 ranking show and I don't even know if we have enough players to rank.
0:05Everybody's injured right now heading into this scoring period.
0:07So hopefully we'll have the answers that you need to get your lineups right.
0:11Welcome to Fantasy Football Today. I'm Jamie Eisenberg. That's Dave Richard.
0:13That's Heath Cummings. We have a lot to get through as a lot of players are dealing with injuries and replacement options
0:19and who's going to be healthy and hopefully no more injuries.
0:22Stay away injuries. I don't want to talk about injuries anymore.
0:25Let's talk about running backs. That's what we're here to start with.
0:28And we're going to look at the running back rankings 1 through 12 for week number 4.
0:32These are consensus PPR rankings. You can see them on the site CBSSports.com.
0:36You can see which analysts you like the best and who you want to follow.
0:40And you can talk about some of these guys that are going to hopefully play well.
0:44And let's start with the guy at number 9, Jalen Warren coming off a huge week 3 game against the Bengals.
0:49He gets the Browns on Thursday night. Dave Richard is going to be an encore performance for Jalen Warren because we know
0:55Rico Dottle is out with that toe injury. I don't know if it's going to be quite as good because I do
1:01believe in this Browns defense to a degree. Remember they're playing on a short week after going 77 snaps.
1:05But I certainly think Jalen Warren as the feature back, the do it all back for the Steelers can finish as a number one fantasy running back.
1:12I haven't ranked that way. Yeah, easy start. One of those guys that was drafted in the middle of the draft, maybe round 7, maybe round 8 sometimes.
1:20And now all of a sudden he's a starter, which is exactly what we need with the way the rest of the fantasy football world looks.
1:26Give me the Chuba Hubbard numbers from a week ago.
1:2915 PPR points without a touchdown. That would be awesome.
1:32I think Jalen Warren can absolutely do that. He's just been great every time.
1:35He's been a featured running back. And Rico Dottle, again, not going to play in tonight's game.
1:40Let's talk about the running back rankings, 13 through 24.
1:42This is where a lot of the decisions come in.
1:45And I promise you we're going to talk about the Dolphins backfield, the Saints backfield, the Jets backfield, some of these other situations.
1:51Is that a promise or a threat? Well, you know, it depends how you look at it.
1:55I think when we look at this list, we start to get into some questions about guys that I think we probably
2:01started the season as must start options. And we'll start with the guy at 13 here.
2:05Heath Saquon Barkley has not been a great fantasy running back.
2:08Did have the shoulder stinger injury in week two.
2:10Is this going to be a great game for him taking on the Rams?
2:14I don't think it's going to be a great game for him.
2:17This is about five spots higher than I believe I have him ranked at 13.
2:21So it's a tough matchup against a very good defense.
2:23And if he's not having success running the ball like he was last week, he has a hard time producing fantasy points
2:29because he's not near as involved in the passing game as he has been in the past.
2:33He's run in the two games where he hasn't left early.
2:36He's run about a third of the team's routes.
2:39That's a tough way to get targets. And it's tough for him to score, too.
2:42I've got him at 13, Jamie, and I don't feel too good about it.
2:46I think there's a lot more upside in the case to be made for more upside for guys like Jeremiah Love, Aaron Jones.
2:52Aaron Jones has the dream matchup this week against Miami.
2:55And just going down the list, even the guys like Javante Williams, it's a tough matchup for Javante Williams.
3:00I feel better about his chances to score than I do Saquon's chances to score.
3:03This is just where we're at right now with Saquon.
3:06So let's talk about Javante Williams because he's coming off an amazing game last week against Baltimore.
3:10And now he's facing the toughest run defense in football in Houston.
3:13Their defense has not been up to par, what we expected from them, but they have shut down run games.
3:19So you think Javante over Barkley? I don't know if I can do that.
3:22I just think Javante is going to be one of these guys that you're starting because he's on your team and you know he's going to get work.
3:30They've shut down some very good running games. Look what they did to Jonathan Taylor last week.
3:34It was tough. It was tough for Taylor. What you're hoping for is that he does find the end zone and Javante
3:40can catch a couple of passes too underneath. Same risks with him.
3:43These are both number two fantasy running backs. These are both guys that I don't feel confident in whatsoever.
3:48And we've started by talking about Jalen Warren. That's an easy start out of both Saquon Barkley and Javante Williams.
3:53And the only reason why it's that way is because we know that Jalen Warren's short week against a tired defense.
3:58And he does have just as good of a chance to score, if not a better chance to score, than Javante and Saquon.
4:04I've got Saquon projected for 24 more rushing yards.
4:06So I do think he's going to have more success running than Javante Williams.
4:1024 more than Javante. But Javante, Dave said, his touchdown odds are higher.
4:13And then he's actually been more involved in the passing game than Saquon Barkley has.
4:17So I think it's more likely that he catches three passes than Saquon.
4:21All right. So there's a look at the top 24 running backs.
4:24Let's show you now where it starts to get a lot uglier, 25 through 36.
4:28And now we'll see some of the backup options coming into play where we're looking at the injury replacements.
4:33And you see Alvin Kamara on here because De'Von Achane is not going to play in week four.
4:37He's dealing with the hamstring injury. What do we think about the Saints backfield?
4:41Because Kendra Miller is going to be involved. It's not like they've been great so far, Heath, in terms of what they've gotten from Travis Achan.
4:48Does Kamara or Kendra Miller give you any hope in this matchup against Atlanta?
4:51I think one of the strangest stories of the first couple weeks of the season or a few weeks of the season
4:57is this Falcons front has actually not been bad.
4:59In fact, they've been pretty good in terms of both getting pressure and limiting running backs on the ground.
5:04So in this matchup, I don't have a lot of hope.
5:07I think that the hope is that all of those targets that we saw go to Alvin Kamara in his first game
5:13in week two, I think he had seven targets, caught five of them for seven yards.
5:17You hope that he sees seven targets in the game because the Saints are probably going to throw it 40 times, and
5:23you hope that he does more with it than seven yards.
5:25I will say this. When you look at opponent stats for what they've done, if they play Green Bay, you're probably going to look good against the run.
5:33It's true. Atlanta coming off the game against Green Bay.
5:35Then what Falcons number four in terms of fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs.
5:39Dave, let's show the rankings 37 through 48, and this is where the Dolphins guys come into play.
5:44And everybody's been spending their fab on Ollie Gordon.
5:46There was at least one report. Joe Shad does a great job covering the Dolphins for the Palm Beach Post.
5:52He broke it down from a fantasy perspective, which is kind of cool.
5:55He said expect two-thirds of the work to go to Jalen Wright and a third to go to Ollie Gordon and Wright,
6:01the more one-to-one replacement for Devon Achan. How do you see the Dolphins just long-term, short-term against Minnesota, but just breaking down
6:06this Dolphins backfield since Devon Achan out for the season with the torn ACL?
6:10I think they're going to struggle, and it almost doesn't matter who they play.
6:13Maybe along the way this season they'll take on some soft run defenses, and they'll be able to have that offensive line playing a little bit better.
6:20But it might be toward the back half of the season, like double-digit weeks.
6:24For this week against Minnesota, I don't want anything to do with the Dolphins running back.
6:28Don't see a lot of upside. I agree with Joe that Jalen Wright, and we've seen it before.
6:33We've talked about it as recently as last year when the Dolphins played without Devon Achan.
6:37Jalen Wright had an edge in playing time and carries every single time over Ollie Gordon.
6:41And Gordon's really got a poor rushing average, not a very efficient runner.
6:45A guy who's going to be useful at the goal line.
6:47They've had two snaps inside the five-yard line this season.
6:50I don't know if I can trust Ollie Gordon.
6:52I know a lot of people spent their fab to get Ollie Gordon.
6:56I think Jalen Wright will be the better running back.
6:58I doubt either of these guys can get to even nine PPR points.
7:02When you have Devon Achan struggling, and now you're talking about his backups trying to be better than him, hard to expect.
7:07So this Dolphins team, not exactly something you want to sink your investments into or your starting lineup and bank on them winning your fantasy team.
7:14Let's talk about some guys who could win your fantasy league for you for week four and the starting running backs that we're looking at here.
7:21So Heath, you've got Braylon Allen. Davey got Basial too, and I got Aaron Jones.
7:25So start with Braylon Allen because this is the Jets' replacement for Brees Hall.
7:28Yeah, you've got the best option. Let's just say that right off the top.
7:32So I think Braylon Allen is going to lead this backfield.
7:35Isaiah Davis will work in on third downs, but Allen should have 15 touches against a Bears defense that's not really very
7:40good about anything, but the worst against the run.
7:43They are just terrible. Saquon Barkley had enormous holes last week.
7:46I think Braylon Allen will again this week. I like him as a low-end number two running back.
7:50I would start him over Amarion Hampton. I think I agree with the Hampton call.
7:54I definitely like him as a low-end number two.
7:56Yeah, I had to think about that one for a second, but I know I like Basial Tootin better than Amarion Hampton,
8:02and I like Basial Tootin a little bit better than Braylon Allen as well.
8:06And it's just because of what we've gotten from him over the last two weeks.
8:1014 or more PPR points in each game. Tough matchup against Cincinnati.
8:13That defense is definitely looking better. Not last week.
8:15Right. Last week they actually fell off a little bit.
8:18I still think that the Jaguars want to get their run game going.
8:21I really like their offensive line, too, and I think that they will be able to gain some yardage on the ground,
8:27and Tootin can come through with another solid game as a number two fantasy running back.
8:31And Aaron Jones, you said, I got the best guy.
8:33I got the best matchup. You know, so the Dolphins number one in terms of most fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs.
8:39The three main running backs that they've faced so far this season, Nash and Gentry, Christian McCaffrey, Ken Walker, all over 21 PPR points.
8:46And the thing that I love about Jones last week, I hope it wasn't just a one-to-one because of Jefferson not being
8:51there, but finally involved in the passing game. Had five catches.
8:54Let's throw him the ball a little bit more.
8:56We know that's a big part of his game.
8:59So keep Aaron Jones involved. Has top ten potential.
9:01As you see, Heath hasn't ranked as a top ten running back for this week.
9:05The guys that were sitting, Heath, you said you're going to start Braylon Allen over Amarion Hampton.
9:09Why? Because I am terrified of the Seattle Seahawks defense, and I am terrified of Amarion Hampton's rush efficiency, and I am terrified of his role in general.
9:17Now, if Keaton Mitchell's out, I think that makes things a little bit better for Hampton, but I would actually expect Kamani
9:22Vidal to play most of the pass-catching downs, even if Mitchell doesn't play.
9:26We saw Hampton last week play a season-low 42% of the offensive snaps.
9:29He's not a feature back. He's not an efficient back.
9:32He's not a pass-catching back. We might get to a point to where this isn't even a bold statement if the next
9:37three weeks look like the last three weeks. He runs into his offensive linemen all the time.
9:42Like, his vision is terrible. He doesn't create yardage.
9:44I feel like I've got him right too high.
9:46I don't really want to trust Amarion Hampton, especially going up against Seattle.
9:50And speaking of Seattle, on the other side, it's Jadarian Price.
9:53And this is another running back who I love what I see on film, but I can't trust him because he's sharing
9:58with two other running backs in that backfield for Seattle.
10:01He's not getting any action near the goal line, not catching enough passes.
10:04I want to have Jadarian Price on my team.
10:07I don't want to start him unless I'm absolutely desperate at running back.
10:10I'm just hopeful. It's more hope than anything else that we had the chest injury in week two and that knocked him out.
10:16And then we see Emmanuel Wilson get 21 carries, a lot of that in the fourth quarter.
10:20We have the fumble last week and then things, just everything fell apart for them because they lose the game.
10:25This should be a game where they're playing with the lead.
10:28This should be a game where they can feature him a little bit more.
10:32And Helani's a little bit banged up also, so just something to keep in mind there in terms of three guys.
10:37Maybe it's just down to two guys. So it's tough to say, you nailed it, to trust him and you're probably starting him in a desperate situation.
10:44I would love to say when we're talking about this next week, hey, remember Jadarian Price week four, how awesome he looked?
10:50Now that's the guy they have at least until Zach Chargeron returns.
10:53Quinshawn Junkins has not played well looking at tonight's game taking on the Steelers.
10:57They've struggled in a couple different ways in terms of running backs.
11:00It was B. John Robinson in week one, who we know is going to do a lot of damage to most teams.
11:06It was one play against New England in week two, the 39-yard touchdown run from Trevion Henderson.
11:10And then they completely shut down Chase Brown last week.
11:12Jadkins, I thought, looked better last week, but he's still three games now under 10 PPR points, which is hard to do.
11:18He's getting a lot of work. He's just not producing, no touchdowns.
11:21If he doesn't score, you're going to be disappointed.
11:24I don't know if he'll score in tonight's game taking on the Steelers.
11:27Some sleeper running backs. Heath, you already covered mine, Braylon Allen, so I thank you for letting me talk less.
11:32But you've got Tony Pollard as a guy that you're looking at in this game against Baltimore.
11:37Can you really trust him? You know what? I'm starting him over on Amarion Hampton.
11:40So I don't trust him, Maureen Hampton either. So he is behind Basial Tootin and Braylon Allen for me.
11:45But Pollard has actually been good as a rusher so far this season.
11:49The Ravens' run defense has been bad. So while it looks like a terrible matchup when you think Titans versus Ravens, I
11:54don't think it's actually that bad of a matchup for him as a rusher.
11:58I don't think Tyjay Spears is anywhere close to 100% healthy right now.
12:01And so it's not quite as big of a split as maybe what we projected coming into the season.
12:06Pollard, I think, had 21 carries last week. He probably won't have 21 carries in this game.
12:11But he might have 16 to 18, maybe catch two passes.
12:14I like Pollard as a low, low, low-end RB2.
12:16Dave, I like your call for Woody Marks because we're starting to hear some rumblings.
12:20ESPN at least reporting that they may start to give him more work.
12:23Is this more of an indication of him or really an indication of that David Montgomery's struggling and how much do you like the matchup against Dallas?
12:30I like the matchup against the Dallas for both running backs.
12:33But when you watch the two of these guys play, it's evident that Woody Marks has a little bit more juice, even
12:39though their yards per carry averages are kind of similar over the last two weeks.
12:42And neither one of them are particularly good. I was encouraged that Woody Marks had a short yardage touchdown last week.
12:48That's something we rarely saw from him as a rookie.
12:51That means he's making progress in the coaches' minds of being a bigger contributor to what Houston's doing offensively.
12:55He's also the better passing downs back. Houston could be trailing in this game against Dallas.
13:00So there could be some real opportunities for him to catch a lot of passes on top of maybe even matching David Montgomery in yardage.
13:06I don't know if he's going to continue to get goal line carries, though.
13:10I think in normal situations, you're going to see Montgomery there.
13:12But short of that, I think Woody Marks might be able to get you close to 10 PPR points.
13:17I wish they would just do what they did in week two, which was involve him in the passing game, throw him the ball.
13:24He's such a good pass catcher. He was in college.
13:26They just don't use him enough. And I think that would help the run game.
13:30We talked about this on our podcast on Thursday morning.
13:33You could also see him just being an extension of the run game and just giving CJ Stroud easy opportunity.
13:38So let's see that a little bit more for Woody Marks.
13:41All right, we're going to take a break. When we come back, you think we talked about a lot of running backs.
13:46We're going to talk about a lot of receivers as well.
13:49We're getting your lineups right for week four. Stay here to Fantasy Football Today.
13:53We're Rota. Car care made easy. Welcome back to Fantasy Football Today.
13:56We're talking about wide receiver rankings for week number four and some bad news with the injuries.
14:00Mike Evans questionable with the rib injury. We'll find out about Justin Jefferson with the ankle injury.
14:05But some good news is Puka Nakua and Nico Collins returning to practice on Wednesday and trending in the right direction to play in week four.
14:11Let's see where they show up on the rank list as we take a look at the consensus rankings for PPR one through 12.
14:18And there's Puka at number six. So we've had two great games of Devontae Adams without Puka Nakua on the field.
14:23Dave, how does this work with Puka coming back?
14:25Maybe at less than 100%, but going to play.
14:28At least that's the hope. And Devontae Adams, does he go back to what his role was last year?
14:33Or is he still going to be the featured guy and maybe better than Puka?
14:37I toyed with the idea of ranking Devontae ahead of Puka because Puka might not be at 100%.
14:41We just don't know. But if he's going to be limited in practice all week, then I would think that he will
14:47be good to go for the game against Philadelphia.
14:49And how the Eagles line up and play defense, usually it's a lot of zone coverage.
14:53They've got one great corner in Quinion Mitchell. That's probably who Devontae Adams is going to see a lot of.
14:59That makes me nervous about what Devontae Adams can contribute to this game.
15:02I also think that the Rams might be able to run the ball in this game.
15:06Makes me a little bit nervous about both of them.
15:09But Puka Nakua generally gets so many targets and gets so many numbers along with it that you can't help but feel good about starting him.
15:15And I like Devontae too, but he's a number two receiver as long as Puka is playing.
15:20Did we miss our sell-high window, Heath, on Devontae?
15:22Yes. Yeah, I would say we probably did. The theory with Devontae Adams was, you know, maybe this hip situation is worse
15:28than we're hearing with Puka Nakua and he's going to miss an extended period of time.
15:32And if Puka is coming back and they're saying on a Tuesday that they expect him to play, then he's obviously really, really close.
15:38And I don't think anybody expects Devontae Adams to be a top 12 wide receiver if Puka is healthy.
15:43Yep. And he was, you know, very touchdown dependent, as we know, in 2025, 14 touchdowns in 14 games.
15:48So let's get the touchdowns up and maybe the production that we've seen from a catch and yard perspective can continue as well.
15:54But hard to say that Devontae Adams is as good with Puka on the field.
15:58Let's show you the rank list 13 through 24.
16:00And again, this is where we start to see some questions.
16:03This is where you'll see Nico Collins on the rank list.
16:06So good to have him back. Let's hope he's 100% missing the last two games with the hamstring injury.
16:11Jalen Waddell comes in at number 20 and he's had one great game and two mediocre games.
16:15So, Heath, when you look at Waddell taking on San Francisco, was in a walking boot, but seems to be fine.
16:21Are we a little concerned about Waddell and becoming a must start wide receiver?
16:24Or is it just we're starting him because of all the injuries and the hope that he's still going to be that guy?
16:30I am a little bit concerned. I'll tell you the truth.
16:33Like when I saw he was 20th on the graphic, I thought, well, I'm lower than that, aren't I?
16:38And that's I've got him at 20. And it's just because it's so hard to find guys to rank higher than him.
16:44But I really feel like while he is ranked as a number two wide receiver, I view him as more of a number three wide receiver.
16:50And you might get a great game and you might get a terrible game.
16:54I'm not there yet. And you know that I was a big fan of Waddell going to Denver from the second that that trade went down.
17:01I think he ran into some really difficult coverage in weeks one and weeks three.
17:05Week two, he didn't. Look what he did. Just monster game.
17:07I still think Denver also is working out their their play calling issues and just their offense overall.
17:12You saw it in the first half last week.
17:14They were a total disaster. And then the second half they rallied.
17:17And so I'm hoping that they're going to be able to continue forward like that.
17:21Their schedule at San Francisco this week. I think that's actually an easy matchup for them.
17:25Chargers after that. Easy. Seattle and then Kansas City are two of their next three following those.
17:30Those are going to be weeks where I'm going to think like he.
17:33And that Jalen Waddell is going to be a number three wide receiver.
17:37But you might just have to use them anyway because there aren't enough wide outs to go with otherwise.
17:41I think he can be very, very good. We saw that in week two.
17:45This could be one of those weeks. I think he's a number two receiver bona fide.
17:49Let's hope. And it's like you said, it's a matchup.
17:52I don't think a lot of people fear. We saw last week with what the Cardinals did to the 49ers.
17:57No Nick Bosa. Sounds like he's not going to play again.
18:00So pass rush should be a little bit easier on Bo Nix and that Broncos passing game.
18:04Let's show you the rank list 25 through 36.
18:07And you're going to see a name on here that I don't think a lot of people expected.
18:11When we knew that he was going to be healthy to start the season, that's the guy at number 30 with Malik Neighbors.
18:17We'll talk about Lad McConkie a little bit as well.
18:20Surprised that he is on this portion of the rank list also.
18:23So is it Jameis Winston? Is it Malik Neighbors?
18:25Is it the Giants? Like is it certainly not the Cardinals?
18:28Because it can't be the Cardinals. Like why is Malik?
18:31Because he's higher for me. He's in the top 24 for me.
18:34Why are you guys concerned about Neighbors? I'm so concerned.
18:36I am extremely concerned about Jameis Winston. I've watched a lot of football through the first three weeks.
18:41He's easily the worst quarterback that I've seen play.
18:43He's slower to read defenses. He's slower to get the ball out.
18:46His velocity is down. At least I think it's down from where it was before.
18:50I don't think Malik Neighbors is somebody that fantasy managers should count on as being.
18:54Even if there's high volume there, I don't think that the balls will be there for him because Jameis Winston can't get it there like he used to.
19:01I kind of want to see what J.J. McCarthy can do.
19:04We're getting to the point in the season where my projections kind of just believe what we've seen so far and mostly
19:10start to expect the next week to look more like the last three weeks.
19:14And what the last three weeks have looked like is Malik Neighbors isn't somebody who should be rostered in fantasy football.
19:19Wow. Much less started in fantasy football. So everything Dave said about Jameis, I pretty much agree with.
19:24And it's really sad to me that the thought we have now is, well, maybe J.J.
19:28McCarthy can save Malik Neighbors a year after he killed Justin Jefferson.
19:31What I will say is if I'm way too low on him, you brought it up, Arizona has been awful against wide receivers.
19:37This is the get right spot. If he's bad against the Arizona Cardinals, I think we'll all have him ranked in the 40s.
19:43So that's fair. I think the one thing, just there are a couple of things to take into account.
19:48Week one, he looked fine. And they didn't have a lot of pass volume because of the way that the game unfolded.
19:53Week two, he hurts his shoulder. Jackson Dart gets hurt.
19:56Jameis comes in. Everything is a disaster. Week three, it's in terrible weather.
19:59They didn't have to do very much. And as bad as Jameis looked, we know what Jameis is going to be at times.
20:05There's going to be a lot of bad. There's going to be a lot of bad.
20:09If he still has that left in us. If he still has it.
20:13There's a big if there. And I think Drake May would probably take Jameis Winston's play right now if you want to talk about bad quarterback plays.
20:20This is really a matchup at this point. And I think that's the sticking point.
20:24They've been so bad. They're fourth best in most fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers.
20:28There have been four guys so far this season, at least 12.4 PPR points or more.
20:32I don't think he's going to be great. I think if we all thought he was going to be better, you would probably have him in the 30s.
20:39I'd have him in the teens. You'd have him in the early 20s.
20:42So we're all cautiously ranking him how we feel, I think, about how this all looks.
20:46I think we're going to get a Cardinals offensive show and that the Giants are going to have to put up points
20:52to match them because I don't think this Giants defense is very good.
20:55So I'm hoping we get those fireworks and we see a better performance from Malik Neighbors.
21:00But you see, there is obvious concern for him going into week four.
21:03Let's show you the last list here. Wide receivers, 37 through 48.
21:06And we have the guys that are playing in Thursday night's game.
21:09You have DK Metcalf in this range. You have Denzel Boston in this range.
21:13You have maybe Casey Concepcion in some cases in this range as well.
21:16Heath, I know you're a DK Metcalf guy. You've been sticking by him.
21:20Dave, I'll give you Denzel Boston. So what are we expecting in Thursday night's performance?
21:23I would view DK Metcalf as a boom bust number three wide receiver who so far has pretty much only busted.
21:29That being said, I don't think we've seen any evidence yet that Aaron Rodgers is going to change the way that he views this receiving room.
21:36I think DK is still his clear favorite target.
21:38And if a guy is getting the targets and the air yards that DK has through the first three weeks, I'm going
21:44to give him at least one more week to continue getting that work and see if something good happens.
21:48He's another guy, though, that if this is a bad week, he's going to fall quite a bit in my projections.
21:54I love the way that you're viewing him. And I agree completely.
21:57Denzel Boston, Casey Concepcion. These are wide receivers. I really just don't want to start, Jamie.
22:01It's not because the Steelers defense is so good.
22:03They're not really that good. And obviously last week, Cincinnati's receivers, those guys are studs.
22:07They lit them up. The passing offense for the Browns is nowhere near as good.
22:11I know receivers are bad. I know there are injuries that are bad.
22:15I don't think it's bad enough that we have to start a Browns wideout.
22:18If I had to start one, it would be Boston.
22:21But he's at best a number four fantasy receiver.
22:23And they no longer have Joey Porter. Not that he was expected to play in tonight's game anyway.
22:28Jalen Ramsey dealing with a wrist injury. So the secondary could be exposed.
22:31But the pass rush is going to be a little bit of a problem for Deshaun Watson and the Browns passing.
22:37Let's talk about some starts and sits for week number four.
22:39Dave, you got Josh Downs. Heath, you got Devon Vele.
22:42You're coming around on Devon Vele. I'm coming around on Devon Vele.
22:45I got Terry McLaurin. So, Dave, kick us off.
22:47What do we love about Josh Downs? This dude is running routes maybe better than anybody in the league right now.
22:53Just unbelievable burst, unbelievable speed. If Daniel Jones were throwing better, he would be an easy start.
22:57Fantasy managers aren't necessarily seeing the results. I think they'll see him this week against Washington because the commander's pass rush, not getting to the quarterback.
23:04They're secondary, giving up tons of numbers to wide receivers.
23:07Six touchdowns to wide receivers through the first three weeks of the season.
23:10I think Josh Downs brings a score in and he has a big game on top of it.
23:15Yeah, for Vele, it's really just about the volume for the Saints.
23:18Like, this offense is running five more plays per game than everybody else.
23:21And Tyler Shuck leads the NFL in dropbacks percentage.
23:23Like, all they do is pass and now they don't have their starting running back.
23:27And so, when you get that type of environment, there's only so many passes you can throw to Chris Olave.
23:32And so, I think we're probably going to see another seven targets for Devon Vele.
23:36I don't think the Saints will have any success at all running the ball against Atlanta.
23:40Averaging seven targets per game, two games over 11 PPR points so far for Vele.
23:44So, he's off to a good start. Terry McLaurin did not get off to a good start in week one, but his
23:50last two games better from a target perspective. Last week was his best game so far.
23:54You go back to last year, six games with Marcus Mariota, four of those games, 14 PPR points or more.
23:59So, there's a good connection between this quarterback and this receiver.
24:02Hopefully, it continues in a matchup that they should have some success against.
24:06The Colts have been bad so far against opposing wide receivers so far this season.
24:09Let's talk about some sets. Dave, you've got an interesting one here in Jamison Williams.
24:13Not because of his production, because of the team that he's facing.
24:16Carolina just put its two starting cornerbacks on IR.
24:19This could be a get-right spot for him. It could be.
24:22And he's okay as a number three receiver or flex.
24:24This is the type of receiver that I would easily start ahead of anybody in the Thursday night game.
24:29And you know what the boom-bust nature is with him.
24:32And through three weeks, it's been bust, bust, and bust.
24:34And the way the Panthers play defense, they really try to limit the big plays downfield.
24:38And I think the Lions can say, okay, cool, you're going to take away Jamison Williams.
24:43We're just going to roll with Amon Ross, St.
24:45Brown, Sam Laporta, and Jameer Gibbs. And those are the three that I think are going to have big games for Detroit.
24:51And Jamison Williams is going to be left holding the bag again.
24:54Heath, it's a tough go for Emeka Abuka right now with a backup quarterback in Jalen Dams.
24:58I'm just curious because of how Abuka can make plays downfield.
25:01Will he have some success because that seems to be what Daniels wants to do is look downfield or potentially run.
25:06I think that there is a possibility that Jalen Daniels hits a long shot in this game.
25:11Whether it's to Emeka Abuka or Ted Hurst or Tez Johnson, I don't really have a good guess on that.
25:16I don't think anybody really should. I think the main thing is Abuka's not necessarily been playing very well this year.
25:21The Bucs offense looks absolutely awful. Now he's playing with an undrafted rookie, a quarterback, who's probably going to run the ball 12-plus times in this game.
25:28I don't expect a lot of pass attempts even if Tampa Bay is playing for ball.
25:32Is that 12-plus times designed runs or 12-plus times scrambled?
25:35Because any time he was pressured, I went back and I checked it up, he almost always just ran.
25:40I think it's one read and then go. Right.
25:42And I think that's what it's going to be in this game.
25:45It makes me feel like I've got Abuka too high.
25:48And I love Abuka. It's tough to trust. You just hope that maybe some of the Baker issues don't translate to the
25:54second quarterback and that we can get some production here.
25:56But difficult to say that any of the Tampa Bay players in the passing game are worth starting with any confidence.
26:02And the same thing with Ladd McConkie. Look, his last two games he's combined for seven catches for 101 yards, no touchdowns, eight targets.
26:08That's against Las Vegas and Buffalo. Now taking on Seattle.
26:11They've only allowed one receiver so far this season to get double digits in PPR.
26:14McConkie popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with a foot problem.
26:18We know he had the rib injury. So more of a number three receiver than anything else.
26:22But if you can get away from Ladd McConkie, that's probably the smart move to make.
26:26Let's look at some sleeper wide receivers for this week, Dave.
26:29You've got Debo Samuel. So we heard John Lynch, I think it was on a radio interview on Thursday morning, saying that
26:35Mike Evans is going to try and tough it out with the rib injury but could be tough for him.
26:40Does this depend on how we feel about Mike Evans?
26:43Where are you going to look at Debo Samuel?
26:45George Kill let it slip that he had fractured ribs.
26:47And that worries me. You're going to put Mike Evans out there with fractured ribs?
26:51I don't think Mike Evans will be out there very long if that's the case.
26:55So Debo Samuel could be the one that really benefits in terms of targets.
26:59Last week, no catches, but 80 receiving guards because of the hook and ladder play.
27:03Could absolutely see him go out and put up some big numbers, especially working underneath against the Broncos, staying away from Pat Sertan.
27:09He won't get shadowed there. He can work the middle of the field.
27:12He can make plays after the catch. Kind of like Debo Samuel this week.
27:16I think he could be very, very good. Back to the well with Malik Washington.
27:20You know, he had a touchdown last week. I like this.
27:22It was called back. I love the way they're using Malik Washington.
27:26Not just the fact that he had a 27% target share.
27:28He's a top 12 wide receiver in terms of target share.
27:31You don't get any fantasy points for that. But also, it's deep shots.
27:35He has an 8 out of 12, which is not Malik Washington.
27:38But also, backfield snaps and screens. And I think that's really the only hope against this Minnesota defense is hope that you
27:43can roll Malik Willis away from the pressure and hit a deep shot or throw screens right behind all the pressure Malik Willis is going to see.
27:50So, yes. Listen, we're talking about sleeper wide receivers.
27:53I don't think Washington's going to score 20 fantasy points.
27:55I like his chances of getting a 12. Do you have any concern because we have yet to see all three receivers
28:01playing healthy if we get Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell playing in this game?
28:05Yes. If they're 100% all of them, then I think maybe it lowers the ceiling a little bit.
28:09I still think Washington's definitely the number one option.
28:12I also am not sure Caleb Douglas is healthy.
28:14Right. Yeah. It sounds like both will be playing if they're playing at less than 100%.
28:18But most players at this point, week four, are playing at less than 100%.
28:22And that can impact Jordan Addison because Justin Jefferson is dealing with his ankle injury.
28:26Not practice on Wednesday. I like Jordan Addison whether we get Jefferson or not.
28:29I think we're going to start to see the best of him moving forward.
28:33I know last week was his best performance. Nine targets, five catches, 90 yards, and a touchdown against Tampa Bay in the game that Jefferson left.
28:39Now, the one thing is most teams don't have to run against the Dolphins.
28:43They have yet to see two wide receivers get double digits in PPR in the same game.
28:48But I do think there's a huge upside for Addison if Jefferson's out.
28:51And you can still start him as a number three wide receiver if Jefferson is in.
28:55All right. That'll do it for our wide receiver conversation here on Fantasy Football Today.
28:59We're going to take a break. When we come back, we're going to talk about some quarterbacks.
29:03We know that there's still injuries in this position, still players that you're looking to maybe pick up off waivers and start.
29:09We'll give you the breakdown with the rankings here on Fantasy Football Today.
29:12Welcome back to Fantasy Football Today. It's time to talk about some quarterbacks.
29:16So we may get some good news. Jaden Daniels could play in the early morning game on Sunday in London against the Colts.
29:22Not expecting him at this point, but there is some positive reports, at least about him trying to practice.
29:27But we're not going to show him on the rank list because we're not ranking him as of now.
29:31Let's show you the rankings 1 through 12, our consensus rankings on CBSSports.com.
29:35And there are some fun players moving into this list.
29:37You see Tyler Shuck all the way up to number two.
29:40We'll talk about him in a second. You got Patrick Mahomes fully entrenched now in the top 10.
29:45You got Matthew Stafford, Bryce Young, and then Jalen Hurts down at 12.
29:48Is it time to maybe sit Jalen Hurts? But you got a guy here at number seven in Jared Goff who's just been very solid so far.
29:55One huge game in week two, but all three games over 20 fantasy points.
29:59Heath, he's going outdoors. He's facing the Carolina defense again that does not have its two starting cornerbacks.
30:04Is this going to be a huge blow spot for Jared Goff?
30:07I think it's going to be a QB1 spot for Jared Goff.
30:10I do think that the defensive injuries for the Panthers, which I wasn't sure that was a great unit in the first
30:15place, really kind of overcome the fact that he has to play outside and experience weather.
30:20And he has maybe the best set of weapons in the entire NFL.
30:23Jared Goff's just a starting fantasy quarterback, and we should just start him every week.
30:27Yep, it's just one of those things. They've scored 30-plus points in all three games as a team, so that's going to
30:33lead to a lot of quality quarterback production. They do have the best running back, or at least fantasy running back, in
30:38the game right now in Jameer Gibbs. Let's just show you the list, 13-24, just because we know there's a lot of
30:44different players that fantasy managers are considering. So you see Drake May down to 24.
30:48You don't see Justin Herbert. That's where we're at.
30:50We're trying to avoid these guys. We'll tell you why they're sets in a minute.
30:54But you see some of the backup options that have been playing great.
30:57Mariota coming off a great game against Seattle. Jacoby Percet, great game last week against San Francisco.
31:02Darnold, a three-touchdown game. The Seattle quarterback has produced, whether it's Drew Locke or Sam Darnold, seven touchdowns in the last two games.
31:08Geno Smith's strong game last week. Kirk Cousins, three straight games, three touchdowns in all those games.
31:12So there's a lot of different ways you can go with this position.
31:15But here are the guys that we're talking about as starting options.
31:19Heath, you've got Bryce Young. Dave, you've got Matthew Stafford.
31:21And I'll tell you why Tyler sucks at the start of the week.
31:25But let's talk about Bryce Young because it was his worst game last week against Cleveland.
31:29Right. I think the Cleveland defense is considerably a bigger challenge than the Detroit Lions defense.
31:33They are not going to be able to get the same pressure on a consistent basis that the Cleveland Browns did.
31:38And you said it. The Lions have scored 30 points every week.
31:41The Panthers don't have their top two corners. The Lions are going to score 30 points this week.
31:46Bryce Young is going to throw a lot of passes.
31:49I think he will be a good mid-range QB1.
31:51Probably not quite as good as he was the first two weeks of the season.
31:55But someone you can trust as a starter. Puka's back.
31:57Devontae's awesome. Eagles defense isn't as good as we thought it was going to be.
32:01Their pass rush isn't as good as we thought it was going to be.
32:05Case Keenum just had three touchdowns total against them on Monday.
32:08And now here they are playing. I know it's a must-win spot for Philadelphia.
32:11I think Matthew Stafford makes it hard on them.
32:14And Stafford has a pretty good track record against Vic Fangio.
32:16It's not necessarily a dynamite track record. I wouldn't expect even 25 fantasy points.
32:20He's a low-end starter, though. I think he makes the top 12.
32:23Having Puka back is a big plus. You did say, though, previously you thought they're going to run the ball, though, in this game.
32:29So how does that work together? I think they're going to be able to do both of those things.
32:34That's why it's going to be more of an efficient game for Matthew Stafford and not a blow-up spot.
32:39Like, Jared Goff is better. Tyler Shuck is better.
32:42I think that those types of quarterbacks, anybody that's got that type of upside, you will put ahead of Matthew Stafford this week.
32:48He's top 12. He's not top 5. All right, so top 12 for Matthew Stafford.
32:51Top 3 for all of us. For Tyler Shuck, he's the start of the week, and it's really just more emphasizing how
32:57good he's been and how good he should be once again.
33:00The run game a little bit suspect, obviously, right now with Travis H.N.
33:03not being there. The Falcons have struggled so far against opposing quarterbacks.
33:06He's been great. Two of three games over 29 fantasy points.
33:09He leads the NFL in pass attempts right now.
33:12So Tyler Shuck just doing a fantastic job. It should continue for one more game.
33:15He had 23.8 fantasy points against the Falcons in their last meeting in Week 18 last year.
33:20Some quarterbacks that were looking to sit. Dave's got Drake May.
33:23I got Justin Herbert. You got Kyler Murray, though, because this could be an interesting game against the Dolphins.
33:28Just no faith in him right now taking on this really miserable defense.
33:31Well, first off, I don't have very much faith in him passing the football right now.
33:35He's made a couple of good throws, but it's looked kind of gross.
33:38Second off, I think people will see the matchup against the Dolphins and what Brock Purdy did to them and what Patrick
33:44Mahomes did to them in terms of efficiency and think, oh, this is a smash spot for Kyler.
33:49I've been waiting to start Kyler. I just don't think there's any reason for them to let him throw the ball very much.
33:55And I don't think he's near as good as a passer as other two guys, so he's not going to be that efficient.
34:01And we're not expecting him to have Justin Jefferson.
34:03I don't want to get sucked into starting him over the Drake Mays and the Justin Herberts and the guys like that
34:09when I would rather start a Bryce Young, a Tyler Shuck, or even a Jacoby Brissett.
34:13Do you think it's changed for you at all if Jefferson plays?
34:16A little bit. None of us have him as a top 15 quarterback.
34:19I wouldn't even if Justin Jefferson played, but I'd be up closer to 18.
34:23Any hope for Drake Mays? They told me not to panic after week one, and I still went and I got other
34:29quarterbacks on the teams that I had Drake May on because I'm the sucker that took Drake Mays in a bunch of leagues, and the panic was justified.
34:36He's been brutal in weeks two and weeks three.
34:38And now here he goes again. I don't really see him having a monster game against Buffalo.
34:43I know Buffalo's defense hasn't been great. I just think he's not playing well.
34:46I don't think his receivers are playing well. I think the Patriots are going to try and hide behind their run game while May figures things out.
34:53Jordan Love is ahead of him. Jacoby Brissett is ahead of him.
34:56Obviously, Tyler Shuck, Bryce Young, Matthew Stafford, those guys are going to be ahead of him too.
35:01He's an easy set. I agree. Not even ranked for me in the top 24, and Justin Herbert's right there as well.
35:06I just don't think you can trust these guys with the way that they perform right now.
35:11May at least has a decent matchup against Buffalo.
35:13Herbert's got to go play Seattle coming off a loss where Marcus Mariota just made some plays against them.
35:18And now Herbert's got to deal with this defense that you know is going to be angry.
35:22They're getting potentially Julian Love back in their secondary, so that could be even worse for Herbert.
35:27It just doesn't feel like it's going to be a good stretch of game for him.
35:31Not that it's been a good stretch of game for him so far.
35:34He's averaging 229 passing yards per game. He's got three touchdown passes, four interceptions on the season.
35:39This is just bad across the board for Justin Herbert, and again, taking on Seattle, not going to be any easier.
35:44All right, some sleeper quarterbacks for us. Heath, you've got Sam Darnold.
35:47Is he going to keep it going for one more week against his Chargers defense?
35:51I think he will, and I think he might have to until Zach Charbonnet gets back because this team is just not
35:57running the football well enough to play the style of football that they did last year.
36:01It was an extremely – Sam Darnold was awesome last year, hyper-efficient, and still most of the time didn't matter for fantasy
36:07football because he was throwing 27 passes, and you had to hope he had some touchdowns.
36:11This year, they actually have 16 more pass attempts than rush attempts, and that's with Drew Locke starting half of their games.
36:17So this is a more pass-heavy offense than what we had last year, and Darnold's still really efficient, and most importantly, he has JSN.
36:23Geno Smith, great game last week, great game this week?
36:25I think so, and I like Sam Darnold better than the Justin Herberts and Drake Mays of the world, and I like
36:31Geno Smith better than Sam Darnold and the Justin Herberts and Drake Mays of the world, and Geno's just going to continue to throw the ball a lot.
36:38You want to talk about a team that's struggling to run?
36:41I wonder if the Jets could be that team without Brees Hall.
36:44I know that we added Braylon Allen, and we're kind of excited to start Braylon Allen.
36:48Heath is going to start Braylon Allen, and I am too as a low-end number-two running back, and he can catch the
36:54ball a little bit, and so can Isaiah Davis.
36:56I think everything in this offense falls on Geno Smith now, and him looking downfield to Garrett Wilson, to Kenyon Sadiq.
37:02I don't buy into this Bears defense, how they played against Philadelphia whatsoever.
37:05Geno might be a better reader of coverages at this point than Jalen Hurts is.
37:09I think he's still startable. He's a sleeper for me this week.
37:12Could be a track meet. Could be one of those games where the Bears score and the Jets have to keep up,
37:18and Geno, 17 fantasy points in Week 2 against Green Bay.
37:21It's just sort of building toward what we saw as a great stretch of games, and this will hopefully be one of those as well.
37:27I hope Jacoby Brissett keeps up the pass volume.
37:29This is the concern that the Giants offense doesn't show up, and maybe Jeremiah Love takes over this game, but what we
37:35saw from Jacoby Brissett last week is the kind of quarterback we've been hoping to see for the entirety of the season, only three games.
37:42But he gives you a pretty good floor. His last 15 games, 13 of them, 18.5 fantasy points or more.
37:47So that's kind of, I think, what you're looking at is, okay, I'm probably going to get that.
37:51And now you're seeing Michael Wilson have the big game.
37:54Trey McBride's been a steady force for them. I think the Giants will score on them.
37:58I think that they're going to have to keep pace as well.
38:01Could get one of those high-scoring games. So I think Jacoby Brissett's in the low-end starting conversation for this week.
38:06All right, that'll do it for our quarterback conversation.
38:09Time to get into tight ends. It's one of the best positions that you could find because almost everybody's producing.
38:14They're outperforming running backs. They're outperforming wide receivers. It's just not the guys that maybe we thought.
38:18But we'll tell you about the rank list for the quarter.
38:21We'll tell you about the rank list for the tight ends next year on Fantasy Football Today.
38:26Retire Path Virginia is a convenient way for Virginians to save for retirement, giving employees an easy option to help build long-term financial security.
38:32State law requires certain Virginia employers to register and facilitate the program if they meet eligibility criteria, and recent changes mean more businesses are now included.
38:39Retire Path is simple to administer, integrates with most existing payroll processes, and has no employer fees, making it an efficient way to meet state requirements.
38:45Take the employer eligibility quiz and register at retirepathva.com.
38:48All right, I'll get this right. We're talking tight ends now here on Fantasy Football Today.
38:52We're going to show you the rank list 1 through 12 and just a lot of different movement from what the guys
38:57who we thought were going to be as the top 12 options versus the guys who are not even worth playing.
39:03We're talking about you, Colston Loveland and Kyle Pitts.
39:05Isaiah Likely is coming off two disappointing games. Had 10 targets in Week 2, but really struggled against the Titans in Week 3.
39:11You see him at No. 8. Dave, are we still considering Isaiah Likely a must-start tight end?
39:16I am, even though he's catching passes from Jameis, and even short throws last week from Jameis were arriving late to Isaiah
39:21Likely, but I think the volume should be there.
39:24And I can't help myself but think about what he's capable of doing.
39:27If he gets eight targets per game, there aren't a lot of tight ends with that type of upside, so he's still a top 12 tight end.
39:34And the matchup not great against the Cardinals. Not difficult, excuse me, against the Cardinals, so hopefully we get a big game like maybe George Kittle just had.
39:41So that would be fun to see from Isaiah Likely, but it's been a little bit of a struggle since Week 1.
39:47But let's talk about the guys that we're starting here for this coming week.
39:50Dave, last week was the coming-out party breakout game for Kenyon Sadiq.
39:54Are we going to get another strong performance, or was this just the Detroit bump that we're going to see from a
39:59lot of these tight ends taking advantage of that defense?
40:02I think the fact that he had over 100 yards is the Detroit bump.
40:05I think the fact that he had eight targets is what the Jets want to get out of him, especially in a game where they didn't have A.D.
40:13Mitchell and Brees Hall got hurt. And if those two things stay the same, and no Mason Taylor either, although I think
40:18that's a lesser issue now, as long as there's no A.D.
40:21Mitchell, and we know that Brees Hall is not expected to play, I think Kenyon Sadiq is going to get a lot
40:27of opportunities, and boy, is he a matchup problem for any defense out there.
40:31Chicago's going to have a tough time. They haven't seen a great tight end now each of the last two weeks.
40:36They're going to see one in Kenyon Sadiq, and Geno has no problem throwing the ball to him.
40:41He's a top-12 tight end, a guy you can go and grab off the waiver wire and immediately put in your lineup
40:46ahead of Kyle Pitts, ahead of Colson Loveland. Dalton Schultz, disappointing game last week.
40:50Nico Collins back this week, but you still like him this week.
40:53Yeah, he had eight targets in week one when Dalton Schultz, or when Nico Collins was there.
40:57He's their clear number two option in the passing game.
41:00This Cowboys defense has given up three touchdowns to tight ends in three games.
41:04They are solely responsible for us saying Isaiah likely is still a start at tight end, because they gave up the one
41:09good game that he's had this year. And this game has one of the higher over-unders on the week.
41:14The Texans have an implied total of 24.5 points, which is one of the higher numbers they'll have all season.
41:19I'm going right back to Dalton Schultz. And they can't run the ball, so that should be good for Dalton Schultz as well.
41:25I love the setup for Darren Waller. I can't love the setup anymore for any player on the slate than what Darren Waller has right now.
41:32Just the matchup is so good. I can't find a reason to rank him higher because it's still just a lot of different moving parts.
41:39But Jalen Coker may not play. They've given up two touchdowns to tight ends in every game so far this season.
41:44And five of those six guys, the only one was Dawson Knox's court touchdown, five of those six guys, 13.5 fantasy PPR points or more.
41:50It's just been such a layup without Kirby Joseph and Brian Branch on the field.
41:54The safety's there for the Lions. So hopefully Darren Waller follows suits.
41:57He already has a two-touchdown game, back-to-back games with 10-plus PPR points.
42:01A lot of his production came last week against Cleveland after Coker left the game.
42:04So I'll downgrade him a little bit if Coker does play.
42:07But this is just setting up for an absolute smash week for Darren Waller.
42:11I probably will rank him higher as the week goes on, or at least we get closer to Sunday.
42:16Some sit-tight ends for us, Dave. You've got Harold Fannin in tonight's game.
42:19Heath, Tucker Craft. I'm going with Mark Andrews. Let's start with tonight's performance.
42:23Not expecting big things from Harold Fannin. I'm not expecting two touchdowns, and I don't even know if I can expect one.
42:28Last week, both of the touchdowns came on improvisational plays from Deshaun Watson.
42:32Not saying that that can't happen again, but that could happen every week.
42:35There wasn't anything structural or designed for Harold Fannin in the red zone last week over the bounce of the year.
42:40They had one bust last week against Mike Kosicki.
42:43I don't think that Harold Fannin should be counted on for a big game.
42:46He can be okay. He might be able to get you to 10 PPR points.
42:50But to me, in the way that tight ends are rolling right now, you talked about this, that's not good enough to be a top-12 tight end anymore.
42:57I hate saying Tucker Craft. It's partially a, we've got Kenyon Sadiq now, and I'm still trusting in Dalton Schultz.
43:03But I think that we also have to acknowledge that we haven't really seen proof yet that Tucker Craft's back to 100%.
43:08Like, he's on the field. He's not earning the targets at quite the rate that he has before.
43:13And most importantly, he's not doing the things after the catch that have made him a fantasy-relevant tight end.
43:18As long as Christian Watson and Matthew Golden are getting 55% plus of this team's targets, Craft is going to have to
43:24be making huge plays after the catch to be a must-start tight end.
43:27Until I see that, I think I'm going to view him as more of a sit than a start.
43:32Understandable. You know, hopefully he just catches the ball.
43:34That was a big problem for him last week was holding on to the football.
43:38Mark Andrews is struggling to score touchdowns, which is what we hope to see from him when he's healthy and performing.
43:43And right now, he's just not doing that. So it's been a little weird, but they haven't, the Titans at least, haven't
43:49given up a big game to Kenya Sadiq at a rushing touchdown against him in Week 1.
43:54Dallas Goddard hurt in Week 2. Isaiah likely playing in the bad weather last week.
43:57So I don't think they're very good against tight ends despite their numbers.
44:01However, that's just kind of where they are right now from a defensive perspective.
44:04So I just don't think that, that's not the reason to avoid Mark Andrews.
44:08It's really just his play. And this is going to be the Derrick Henry game, first time he's facing the Titans in his career.
44:14All right, we're going to take a break. When we come back and get to your tweets, that's next here on Fantasy Football Today.

44:44We're having another show here on Fantasy Football Today with your questions.
44:47Mark wants to know, as a Travis H-Han owner and have Kendra Miller, would you offer my...
44:51Hutch... Xavier Hutchinson? I guess, for his Camara. You can offer it all you want.
44:55You're not going to get accepted. Yeah, I guess the only way you would get that done, if that is Xavier Hutchinson,
45:01would be as if it's Nico Collins out for a while.
45:04Good luck. I don't know what to tell you.
45:06Maybe go pick up Devin Neal and see if he's going to be a factor.
45:10I'm starting to think, like, the deepest of deep...
45:12Well, Devin Neal's on the Vikings. That's what I'm saying.
45:15Like, somebody could help in Minnesota. Yeah, I think the easier move is to find a different player on your team and
45:20try and trade that player for Alvin Kamara. You know, Kamara did have some speed last week.
45:25He just really... No, he's trying to get Kamara.
45:27Yeah, he's trying to get Kamara. So, it might cost you a little bit more than you think.
45:32All right, Heath, should I play David Montgomery or Mondre Stevenson or Sky Moore?
45:35I'm assuming you get points for return yards. And what about Debo Samuel?
45:39So, I would play David Montgomery over Mondre and over Sky Moore.
45:42And if it's a full PPR league and Mike Evans is out, then I'd go Debo over Montgomery.
45:47All right, makes sense there. Next question. Non-PPR. Darren Waller, Isaiah Likely, or Quinshawn Judkins at flex, Dave?
45:51Yeah, and this is where tight ends are now.
45:54Likely is my highest-ranked player of the three. I feel like Waller's going to score, though.
45:58I do, too. And you know, maybe Waller is the right answer here because he'll get more targets.
46:02Coker has to be out, though. If Coker plays, it's an easy, likely.
46:06Non-PPR, the projection's just going to say Judkins. But I know why it feels gross.
46:10All these guys. Waller and Likely, two touchdown games.
46:12Judkins has none on this season. So, the tight end is actually playing better than the running back.
46:17All right, last one, or this is it? Last one.
46:19All right. Considering making this offer in PPR, trade away, Saquon Barkley and Travis Kelsey get Jalen Warren and Brees Hall.
46:25Ooh, that's a lot to pay for Jalen Warren and Brees Hall at this point.
46:28But down the line, I think it'll work out.
46:31So, if you can weather Brees Hall not playing, I think you make the deal.
46:35Do it. All right, there you go. Do it.
46:37All right, that'll do it for us here on Fantasy Football Today.
