Player insights

39

Aaron Jones

NegativeValue13:47

Aaron Jones is considered a trade candidate to move for higher-upside players like Jamison Williams, as his window of value is expected to close once Jordan Mason returns from injury.

Insight page
PositiveUsage32:11

Aaron Jones is a strong spot-starter and RB2 with a huge opportunity to lead the Vikings' ground game, especially with Jordan Mason out.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection59:52

Baker Mayfield is a recommended start for a bounce-back game against the Browns, citing his strong home performance history and the defensive struggles of his opponent.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection117:11

Purdy is considered a must-start quarterback for Week 2, with consensus rankings placing him as a top-tier option across various A.j. Brown boards.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeUsage60:59

Bucky Irving is considered a top-12 running back start, though there is minor concern regarding potential goal-line work for Sean Tucker.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection36:01

Caleb Williams is a top-four quarterback this week, with only Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson ranked ahead of him, despite facing a Vikings defense that was strong against QBs last year.

Insight page

Carson Wentz

NegativeValue25:21

Carson Wentz is being targeted in Superflex leagues as a stop-gap quarterback, with managers spending significant FAAB to secure him while starters like Kyler Murray are injured.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveMatchup27:19

Chris Godwin is a preferred flex over Quinshawn Judkins due to a favorable game script against the Browns, with expectations of 4-5 catches and touchdown potential.

Insight page
NegativeProjection102:15

Godwin is viewed as a solid number three receiver, though he did not look like his former self in Week 1. His role as a slot receiver (60% of snaps) is expected to remain stable despite Jalen McMillan's return. If his target-per-route rate stays below 15% this week, he should be benched.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeInjury1:00

D.J. Moore is dealing with an injury that is not considered serious, with a chance to play in Week 3. However, there is concern regarding his usage, as he was not playing as much as expected even prior to the injury.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeUsage36:18

DeAndre Swift saw 18 carries, but his snap share remains consistent with his 60-40 split from the second half of last year.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveUsage15:45

Dalton Kincaid is a must-start tight end, having posted 40.5 fantasy points on 14 targets through his first two games.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeProjection25:57

Drake London is a borderline starter in two-receiver leagues due to a poor quarterback situation, though he remains a must-start in most formats despite low confidence.

Insight page
NegativeBust50:25

Drake London is viewed as a bust candidate due to poor quarterback play from Cooper Rush, though some analysts remain moderately optimistic he can rebound if the Falcons shift to short-area passing.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveRole116:42

Kittle is expected to be more involved in the 49ers' offense in Week 2 after running less than half the routes in the previous game. He is a viable start depending on roster alternatives.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveUsage25:03

Jadarian Price is a borderline RB2/flex play, but there is realistic upside for him to become a bell-cow back with 18 touches given the team context.

Insight page
PositiveUsage41:30

Brian Flory confirmed the team intends to increase Jadarian Price's opportunities after a cautious Week 1 workload; he is viewed as a better start than Jeremiah Love due to the matchup against Arizona's defense.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveUsage47:53

Jalen Coker has outperformed Ted Aroa McMillan in targets, catches, yards, and touchdowns over the last seven games, making him a viable start and a potential top-24 receiver if other starters are out.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

PositiveSleeper102:29

McMillan is a viable stash candidate who has consistently scored touchdowns when on the field, including seven in his final five games of 2024. He is trusted by Baker Mayfield and could provide a needed speed injection to the Bucs' offense.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveValue8:55

Despite a disappointing start, Jamison Williams remains a 'buy low' candidate. He has seen 13 targets over two games, and missed touchdown opportunities due to pressure on Jared Goff suggest better production is possible.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveProjection3:23

Jared Goff is expected to have a high-scoring season, and A.j. Brown suggests that managers should not panic if they played against him or had a poor start to the week.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeUsage25:03

Jeremiah Love is a borderline RB2/flex play; there is concern regarding his opportunity and goal-line usage, and he faces a tough matchup against Seattle.

Insight page
NegativeUsage44:22

While Jeremiah Love is considered the better prospect, he is currently a less favorable start than Jadarian Price because he faces a tougher run defense in Seattle.

Insight page

Jerry Jeudy

NegativeUsage57:25

Jerry Judy saw a disappointing 65% route participation rate in Week 1, suggesting he may not be a full-time player in two-receiver sets.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveBreakout7:13

Jordan Addison is viewed as a high-upside play who scores touchdowns and has significant opportunity for a big game against the Bears, despite a rocky start with Carson Wentz in Week 1.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout33:52

Jordan Addison remains a high-upside play despite a poor Week 1; he is worth starting given receiver injuries and the potential for a high-scoring game against the Bears.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

PositiveBreakout2:04

Keon Coleman looked impressive in the second half of his recent game, recording six catches for 63 yards on six targets while running 80% of the routes.

Insight page

Kyle Monangai

PositiveValue36:44

Kyle Monongai is a viable flex option who may see low start percentages but carries scoring upside.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeValue25:57

Kyle Pitts is a borderline starter across the board; it is recommended to replace him if possible given the poor quarterback play and lack of confidence.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveBreakout106:31

Nabers is a must-start player who has room to improve after a Week 1 performance where he struggled with footing but saw significant target volume. He is expected to have a better game as he adjusts to the physicality of the NFL.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeProjection45:34

The analysts express significant concern regarding Marvin Harrison Jr.'s immediate fantasy outlook, noting he is not a must-start and has been disappointing, though he remains an end-zone threat.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

NegativeProjection107:06

Stafford is considered a borderline start for Week 2. While he struggled in Week 1, he faces a banged-up Giants secondary, though there is concern about whether his poor performance was due to lack of preseason, travel, or age-related decline.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

NegativeValue46:07

Michael Wilson is ranked behind Chris Godwin and Rome Odunze, generally falling into the WR3 range with limited upside compared to other options.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

NegativeProjection27:19

Quinshawn Judkins is a risky flex play; his outlook is dependent on the Browns reaching the goal line, and he faces a potentially negative game script.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

NegativeDepth Chart20:58

Rashod Bateman is the second-best option among the discussed group only if Zay Flowers is ruled out.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

NegativeRole37:18

Rome Odunze is currently a low-end WR3; it is recommended to wait another week before trusting him in lineups due to playing time concerns.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveUsage15:38

Sam LaPorta is a must-start tight end, having recorded 15 targets through the first two games of the season.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeBust111:53

McLaurin is a concern for fantasy managers after a poor Week 1 showing where he appeared to loaf on routes compared to Stephon Diggs. He is currently ranked around WR30, and his usage in a zone-heavy defense may be limited compared to other Commanders receivers.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveValue20:46

Trey Harris is a priority add/start due to the offensive environment he plays in, offering more upside than other deep-league options.

0:00This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. What a play!
0:03Can you believe this? He had no idea. It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
0:08Off to the races! And he stays on his feet!
0:11He's just gonna go the distance! Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
0:16Oh we love the Bills. We love the Bills.
0:19And you know what? We don't mind the Lions either.
0:2241 to 31, what a great way to start Fantasy Week 2.
0:26Fantasy Week 1. Week 1 was tied for the highest scoring Week 1 in NFL history since the merger.
0:32And now Week 2 off to a big start with 72 points.
0:36But we do have another wide receiver injured. And yes, I have a team with A.J.
0:41Brown, Ladd McConkie and D.J. Moore. Good morning, Jamie.
0:44What's going on? Yeah, it's funny. My son has A.J.
0:47Brown and D.J. Moore. I think maybe one other one too.
0:50I don't know who it could be. But yeah, he was like, who am I gonna start a receiver?
0:56I'm like, I don't know, bud. It's tough. And you know, D.J.
1:00Moore, the news update is that it's not that serious of an injury.
1:04He has a chance to play in Week 3.
1:07Quite frankly, a little concerning stuff even before the injury.
1:10He wasn't playing nearly as much as he should have.
1:13Dave, what's going on? Kendrick Bourne. You're gonna go to your waiver wire and get him or Caleb Douglas if he's still out there.
1:21I'd rather have Douglas than Bourne. Yep, we'll have some opportunities.
1:24You're gonna get Keon Coleman. Oh, don't say that name.
1:27Come on. We're trying to have a nice show here, Jamie.
1:31He looked good. Oh, Bob, please. Not only he, you know, six catches for 63 yards on six targets.
1:37He's the guy is in the second half. He ran 80% of the routes.
1:41He had a big, huge thing. Of course, this is gonna happen now where he has the big year a year after.
1:48I he's not gonna have a big year. He's gonna go off for 1800 yards and 17 touchdowns and catch the game winning pass in the Super Bowl.
1:57This is this is gonna be a disaster because of me.
2:00The universe is against me. Thank you very much.
2:03Told everybody to draft Jared Goff. I drafted a lot of Jared Goff.
2:07Guess who didn't start Jared Goff yesterday? This guy right here.
2:10A lot of people. Yeah. Well, I'm one of them.
2:1443% started. 42% or 18. Two minutes playing bills.
2:16Give it up. Yeah, I'm gonna try and put a happy face on here.
2:21Sorry about this. That's all right. You know, let's not talk about Keon Coleman anymore.
2:25Okay, that'll that'll make me happier. I just think that it's gonna have could have a very high scoring week again could have a high scoring season.
2:34So if you played against Josh Allen or whatever, don't worry.
2:37I'm on Ross St. Brown. You're not out of it.
2:40We got plenty of football left to go. Um, you know, we've talked about this once or twice a year.
2:47I feel like if not more, do you change your lineup strategy?
2:50Do you shoot for upside and make a lineup decision that you wouldn't typically make if you're trailing big, which obviously could be the case for many people?
2:59Jamie, what's your take on that? I mean, I would hope your lineup usually reflects the most upside you could possibly have to begin with.
3:07So, you know, if you're talking about let's say I'm gonna play Devante Adams versus Jalen Coker, you know, who Adams had
3:14a good game last week, or I'm sorry, Adams had a bad game last week, but might have a better one this
3:21week because we'll see just how good the giant secondary is, which is beat up.
3:26Or do you take a chance on Jalen Coker coming off a huge week?
3:30And the projections may not reflect that, but you see what Coker did last week and you want to make that type of switch.
3:37So I mean, I guess there's probably those type of, you know, decisions that you have to make.
3:43But I mean, for the most part, I don't know about you guys.
3:47My lineups usually reflect the highest potential that it could have.
3:51Of course. No, I'm not saying my lineups don't, but I don't always go for the upside play because I think sometimes
3:58the upside play could get you, you know, two fantasy points.
4:01And I just, I go for what I think is going to be the maximum amount of fantasy point, like my favorite players.
4:08Yeah. Okay. So I guess like you're talking about a player like Travion Henderson, right?
4:13Who we know if he goes off is going to go off big, but typically is not going to be great when Ramon Joy's healthy.
4:21So if you're comparing him, let's say to a Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt, that's maybe a move that you wouldn't consider.
4:27Yeah. I don't know if I can give an example, but let's see, who do I have on my bench?
4:33Who's an upside? Okay. I have, I have Jordan Addison, Jordan Addison.
4:37You know, I'll show you guys some screenshots later.
4:40Had some opportunities in week one. Carson Wentz and he weren't really on the same page.
4:45He would know he's a downfield guy. He scores touchdowns.
4:48He's facing the bears. I think there's a lot of opportunity for a big upside game for Jordan Addison.
4:54My two starting receivers right now are Chris Godwin and Quentin Johnson.
4:58This is a 14 team league wide receivers suck.
5:01I have bad receivers, but I am starting Godwin and Johnson over Addison.
5:05And if I played against Josh Allen, I wouldn't, I wouldn't change the decision.
5:09That's just me. Sure. So Godwin's floor is much safer than Addison's Addison ceiling is higher.
5:14You can consider that. Yeah. I wouldn't, I wouldn't mess with Quentin Johnston if McConkie's right.
5:19Right. Right. Okay. But he also falls in that upside category too.
5:23Yeah. But unfortunately, I mean like, yeah, obviously I lost last week.
5:27Okay. Let's get back to this game. Buffalo 41, Detroit 31.
5:30You know, obviously the stars were stars again. Golf was only started in 42% of leagues.
5:35Um, Jamison Williams though, with a bad game. And he was started in 75% of leagues.
5:40And, uh, in a second, I'll show you, we'll show you a couple plays for Jamison Williams, some screenshots of what could
5:47have been a couple of touchdowns for Jamison Williams.
5:50But even if, even with that, I mean, he had a 10%, 10.5% target share.
5:54If you've gotten two more targets, that would have been pretty low.
5:58Jamie, you call Jamo a, uh, buy low on Wednesday's show.
6:02Do you still think that, and let's go ahead and take a look at the first play.
6:07Okay. So this is, if you remember the first drive, he's going, please, I'm open.
6:12Please throw it to me. And he's even says, by the way, cool stadium.
6:16It was a cool stadium. Look how open he is.
6:19This is probably a touchdown. Uh, and this was the play for those of you listening.
6:24Jared golf gets hit and, and strip sacked by Greg Russo.
6:28So just a split second later and Jamo's got a touchdown.
6:31And then on the next play, he never had time.
6:34This was, I think in the, this was the third quarter.
6:38He burns the defender. He's wide open at the nine yard line here.
6:42If golf sees him, it's another touchdown. But again, the pressure got to Jared golf and he didn't have time to see Jamison Williams.
6:49And he threw, uh, a completion. I think, uh, No, I, I have a different interpretation of this play.
6:55I think he was looking toward Jamo and then went to his next read, but there was pressure there.
7:01Yeah. There was pressure for sure. So we had an opportunity, but either way.
7:06Yes. That's the point. All right, Jamie, Jamie, Jameson, Williams concern level by low.
7:10What do you think? Definitely by low. I mean, you know what the upside is for him.
7:15So I wouldn't, you know, the offers have changed because you can get him cheaper now.
7:20So it depends on what happens this week and who you're looking to trade for him.
7:25But you know what he's still capable of doing just because you trade for him doesn't mean you have to start him right away.
7:33You know, you can see how this unfolds, but I mean, it's been a disappointment.
7:38You know, you look at what happened last week, nine targets and you know, not a big game this week.
7:44He gets four targets. You just illustrated two plays that could have made things much different for him.
7:49Last week, could have been much different for him also.
7:53So I think it just comes down to what you're looking at, what you have on your roster, what you need, you know?
8:00So we know right now, DJ Moore may not play next week.
8:04We know this week, you might not have Nico Collins, Dave Flowers, Ladd McConkie.
8:08We know AJ Brown's out for at least another five weeks after this one.
8:12So there's a lot of need for wide receivers.
8:15A lot of need for wide receivers with the upside.
8:18A lot of need for wide receivers that are on great offenses.
8:22He fits the bill in all those. He's just gotten off to a terrible start.
8:27So if, for example, Aaron Aaron Jones has a huge game this week because Jordan Mason's out and he's playing the bears, you don't need Aaron Jones.
8:35He's probably the third or fourth running back at best on your team.
8:39That's a move you can consider making because the window for Jones is going to close when Mason's back, which could be three weeks after this week.
8:48It's the, it's those types of deals that help you longterm, you know?
8:52So Dave just said, uh, as when you brought up DJ Moore, Caleb Douglas and, um, I forget the other name you mentioned, uh, Kendrick.
9:00I was a little tongue in cheek, but no, but, but, but that's, that's, that's the waiver wire.
9:05You know, that's what you're looking at to replace these wide receivers or maybe it's, you know, Xavier Hutchinson or, uh, the Mario Douglas.
9:13Like these are the guys that are going to be a, you know, replacement options for the injured guys.
9:19Like if you could turn somebody on your bench into what Jamison Williams can still become that those two plays you illustrated
9:26next week could be two touchdowns for Jared Goff and two touchdowns for Jamison Williams.
9:30Now you got that for Aaron Jones. Yeah. Right.
9:33All right. Dave, uh, Dave, we'll move on from this game and get to the rest.
9:38But tell me about the tight ends. You had a nice game from Laporta and Sam Laporta has 15 targets in two
9:45games and Dalton and Kate is, is absolutely unbelievable right now, uh, with, uh, 14 targets in two games, but 40.5 fantasy points in those games.
9:53So you're obviously going to start both of these guys moving forward and until Kincaid invariably gets hurt.
9:59He's, he's a must start. Enjoy it. There is a correlation between Laporta and Jamo.
10:04That has seemingly hurt Jamo throughout his entire career.
10:06So yesterday was the 26th game where Laporta has had six plus targets and Jamo has been on the field with him for those games.
10:14He's been a non-factor in all but five of those games.
10:18How many games? 21 of 26 games where Jamison Williams has been a non-factor and Laporta has had six plus targets.
10:24And there's only been 11 career games when both have had six plus targets.
10:29There was one in week one, not yesterday. So I, we, we talk about how last year of Dan Campbell took over the play calling.
10:37And that's when Jamo really took off. But I think it was more like Sam Laporta got hurt.
10:42And in most of those games, Jamo went off.
10:45And I wonder if that's what we need to have happen because otherwise I think golf is just going to continue to hammer Laporta.
10:52We know that drew Petsing does have a tendency in his past to lean on his, on his tight ends.
10:59Talked about that a ton during the off season.
11:02And a Monro St. Brown is clearly not losing his role.
11:05And Jameer Gibbs has a role in this passing game too.
11:08So I, I don't, I agree that trading Aaron Jones for Jamison Williams makes sense, but I don't think I'm giving up
11:15a whole lot more to get Jamison Williams at this point.
11:19He is going to have some boom games. I don't know when they're going to be.
11:24I guess the only thing that would be different in the Laporta Jamo comparison is at least last year, Williams was not getting targets this year.
11:32He's got 13 targets in two games. And so it doesn't feel like they're just completely avoiding him.
11:38Now this game was only four. So, you know, you're not thrilled with it, but nine last week, again, take into account overtime, all those things.
11:46But it just feels like this is a little bit different.
11:49Like it's just, they're not either connecting or going to him when he's open.
11:54Well, because if, and, and it, to me, it more correlates to when you have pressure up the middle, which is where
12:01they were missing guys is it's harder to look down the field.
12:04So there was a little bit of a, Oh, okay.
12:07At Oliver's out, this is going to be a plus for the lions and a plus for Jared Goff.
12:13And for the most part, obviously from his production, it was, but I think that's where Jamo loses and those plays are
12:20gone because he doesn't have the ability to step up and make those throws because he's getting pressure in his face.
12:27So I do think you're right. Cause we said it all off season when Laporta is healthy, when Laporta is right with
12:34petsing now there, this could be awful for Jamo.
12:37But that was really for me at what, at least looking at it, he was averaging four targets per game.
12:43And at least for right now, two game sample size, it's six and a half.
12:48Yeah. But also it was, I think seven and a half in the two games after the buy last week at last.
12:54Correct. Well, that's when the play caller changed, but you know, I, I think just looking at it from the, the majority
13:01of the time when Laporta has been healthy and Jamo sucks, it's been a lack of opportunities.
13:07At least the opportunities so far through two games have been there.
13:10Well, for one game and then the other one, there should have been, well, I mean, you got to look just at
13:17the totality of it, but yes, you're right. One game was, was great.
13:21And one game was average. Okay. The lions have the jets, the Panthers, the Cardinals, probably the jets have the best pass rush of those three Panthers.
13:30Second best Cardinals third best, but none of them are going to scare you.
13:34Maybe there will be opportunities for golf to see less pressure.
13:38And then he's got that extra second of time to hit Jamo on some of those plays.
13:43Like we just, like you illustrated Adam. Yeah, no, he needs it.
13:47And Jamo had the two big drops in week one, or he had a huge game and he got tackled inside the one yard line.
13:55He almost had a massive game. So look, when you run, don't cut your hair.
13:59When you run deep routes, when you run deep routes, you, I think you're, you're kind of more susceptible to bad games.
14:06And especially when your offensive line, like as Dave just mentioned, offensive line, not protecting well enough.
14:12So, all right, that's our, those are our thoughts on the relevant players.
14:16Sunday morning. We said, I said, I wanted to set a record while we did in week one, we had our most watched Sunday morning live stream ever.
14:24It was in fact, the most watched Sunday show across any platform of any network.
14:29That's probably not true, but it was a great turnout.
14:32Thank you for being there. Come do it again.
14:35Let's set another record Sunday morning, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
14:38Just before 1 p.m. We get off the air when the lineup's locked for the one o'clock guys.
14:44Um, so it's basically a two hour show of answering your start or sit questions.
14:49We answer so many and, uh, we had a great time on Sunday.
14:53So join us at youtube.com slash fantasy football today, 11 a.m.
14:56Eastern. And if you're not watching that, watch CBS Sports HQ to get ready for your NFL Sunday.
15:02All right, news and notes. Joe Burrow back soreness.
15:05He had a better day yesterday, so we're cool with Joe Burrow.
15:09Uh, Kyler Murray, it was limited in practice. I guess he hasn't been ruled out yet.
15:14So keep that in mind. If you, if you have Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, who do you want their quarterback to be this week?
15:21Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz. Yeah. I spent so much fab on Carson Wentz and Superflex Leagues.
15:26How much? How much? Uh, one was 500 out of a thousand dollar budget, but that's, um, where I have quarterback issues.
15:33One was 52 out of a hundreds, a hundred dollars in Superflex League where I have Kyler Murray as my second quarterback.
15:40So I needed to cover myself. Um, I'm sorry.
15:43My three quarterbacks are Brock Purdy, Kyler Murray, and Sam Darnold.
15:46So actually funny enough. Um, and I don't know what you guys are doing.
15:51Uh, Dave's not in that league, but, um, Sam Darnold didn't get, uh, drew locked and get picked up at all.
15:57Uh, didn't get bid on at all. So I got him for free.
16:01Yeah. Um, taking Wow. One week, but that's good.
16:04Superflex. Well, I mean, but I don't need them.
16:07Right. That's carry five quarterbacks. I don't need a guy for one week.
16:11I'm not going to drop a player. Oh, he may be starting for a month.
16:16I don't need them. I I've got three quarterbacks.
16:18I don't need yourself. You just must yourself. Yeah, it's definitely.
16:22Uh, all right. Drew Locke is starting this week.
16:25Cooper rush still looking like he's going to start for the Falcons.
16:28As of now, we know Jordan Mason's on IR.
16:31Kamara expected to play. Trevion Henderson is going to play this week.
16:35Sean Tucker practice in full. Kalon black was limited with a hamstring issue.
16:39I think it was groin. Oh, groin. I'm sorry.
16:42And RJ Harvey was limited with a hamstring issue.
16:45But I think we expect all those guys to play.
16:48Harvey's questionable, though. I mean, like legitimately questionable. All right.
16:51They had their first practice of the week on Thursday because they played on Monday and short week, short turnaround.
16:57All right. Wide receiver news. Do you expect Ladd McConkie?
17:00No. No, as of now. You expect Zay Flowers?
17:03Not looking great. I moved them down before the game over all the star receivers in the Thursday night game.
17:10So I'm kind of protecting myself against him being out.
17:13That's Zay Flowers. Do you expect Nico Collins? No, as of now.
17:16Leaning no. Chris Olave? Yes. Leaning yes. All right.
17:19That's more or less it for the wide receiver injuries.
17:22We're not expecting Brock Bowers or Chigo Conquo at this point.
17:26Mike McDaniel does expect more involvement for Rondé Gadsden this week.
17:29He was barely involved last week, but maybe that puts a little bit of a damper on David Njoku if you need a tight end this week.
17:38And that's going to do it for the injuries there.
17:41All right. We'll come back and talk about replacement wide receivers.
17:44I said I'd mentioned this earlier on in the Friday show after waiting too long in the Thursday show.
17:50And then we'll get into one question for each game.
17:53We'll be right back on Fantasy Football today. My companion for this summer season has been Z Biotics.
17:59Let me tell you why. Just headed out to a concert at Pier 17.
18:03Howl Mouth? What a show. I got home at 3 a.m.
18:07And I realized 8 a.m. tea time. What am I going to do?
18:11I got a big match. No worries at all.
18:14I took Z Biotics the night before. Had a few drinks.
18:17Woke up the next day like nothing happened. Got to that course at 7 a.m.
18:22Warmed up and won my match. Z Biotics pre-alcohol probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic.
18:28It was invented by PhD scientists to break down acetaldehyde, a byproduct of drinking alcohol.
18:32Pre-alcohol produces an enzyme that is designed to break down this byproduct.
18:36Make pre-alcohol your first drink of the night. Drink responsibly and enjoy your next day activities.
18:41Z Biotics has sold more than 14 million bottles and earned the trust of thousands, including us.
18:46Try for yourself today. And if you are unsatisfied, they will refund your entire order.

19:07That's $750 in your first year. Guaranteed. And honestly, that $100 back?
19:11I'm putting it towards the zip line. Now that's how you do summer.
19:15Exactly. Best switch I ever made. This is just one reason to join T-Mobile this summer.
19:20There are 250 reasons. Find yours. Savings based on the value of benefits included with experience beyond, like entertainment and one year

19:37Issued by Summarize Banks and a member FDIC allow eight weeks.
19:40AJ Brown is definitely out this week. Assuming Ladd McConkie, Zay Flowers, and Nico Collins are also out.
19:46And I don't think we should just assume that.
19:49But in a hypothetical, if we are looking at replacement wide receivers for the Patriots, the Chargers, the Ravens, and the Texans
19:56this week, Dave, who would be your top three?
19:58Patriots, Chargers, Ravens, Texans? Yeah. Oh, I don't know if I feel good about any of this.
20:04I'd probably start with the Patriots guys and throw Trey Harris in there and say that one of those.
20:10I might go. I might say it's DeMario Douglas, Trey Harris, Mac Hollins.
20:14I'd want to double check my rankings to make sure that's how I feel.
20:18But listen, I wouldn't expect any of these guys to be any better than like 10 PPR points.
20:24Harris is the one that has the most upside.
20:27That's just the style of his game. But I wouldn't feel good about anybody.
20:31There isn't one guy that I'm making a beeline to.
20:34How about Romeo Dobbs? Nervous, especially after last week.
20:37I know he talked this week and said that he's a confident guy and he'll bounce back.
20:42But again, like 10 PPR points is probably where I'd land on him.
20:46Okay. All right. I'd rather start Trey Harris. Very different order.
20:50Okay. What do you got? I mean, Harris is easily the one you go get just because of the offense that he's going to play in.
20:58And Bateman would be second if Flowers is out because Jacoby Lane is not there.
21:03Dobbs would be third just with the hope that he's the best Patriots wide receiver because I would expect them to feature him.
21:10And then Hutchinson would be next. Okay. A few quick commissioner tips, especially if you're playing on a CBS Sports League.
21:16I strongly recommend enabling the full fab report to be seen.
21:20It is really fun to be able to see all of the bids, you know, to know if you overbid.
21:26It's actually pretty helpful too. So you should click that box, show full fab report.
21:31Very fun. I think if you're playing on CBS, you should, I think on the roster, the page where you can set
21:38how many of each position you have, enforce strict roster limits.
21:41That way people can't go over their roster limits during the week to pick up more players.
21:47Sometimes people do that unintentionally because they put in multiple claims, multiple bids.
21:51It happened to me in a league this week and I didn't want to pick up a guy.
21:56Enforce strict roster limits. And I will have to say I am going to victory lap.
22:01My playoff format suggestion was very well received, which must kill Jamie.
22:05It killed me? I told you to do it.
22:08Yeah, but you thought it was going to be a bad idea.
22:12No, I told you until you start to do some of these things that you recommend, I don't want to hear about it.
22:19So unless you're going to implement it and come up with these great ideas, some of them are great.
22:25Some of them are terrible. This one happens to be okay.
22:28Do it. Okay. I have a suggestion to change it.
22:31Tell me if you like this wrinkle or not.
22:34If you're going to go full force with a battle royal type of format, what if you put all six of the playoff teams in the playoff?
22:43Obviously, there's six teams in the playoffs. I'm thinking this out as I say it.
22:47The first week of the playoffs, no head-to-head matchups.
22:50The top four teams advance. And then in the last two weeks, you go with what you do, which is whoever has
22:57scored the remaining four wins the league. I mean, you can do that.
23:01I just want to reward the team. I just want to give buys.
23:05I want to give buys to the teams that have earned it in the regular season.
23:10I think that I'd rather do that. But that's fine.
23:13A quick shout-out here, then we'll move on. Christian Heritage.
23:17But I'm just going to say this. If you don't do it this year, I don't want to hear about it ever again.
23:24All right. Adjustment to my suggestion. Take the teams that get buys, advance them one week.
23:29Now you've got four teams. So it's the bottom four seeds.
23:32Put them in a one-week battle royal, the top two advance next week.
23:36Absolutely. You could do it. All right. I like that too.
23:40All right. Now a shout-out. I got an awesome email from Mrs.
23:43Teams from Christian Heritage Elementary School, or middle school rather.
23:47Her seventh graders, they are using fantasy football as a math lesson.
23:50She sent me a video, and I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to all these.
23:56Approximately 67th graders are doing this sort of fantasy football challenge to help learn math.
24:00Mrs. Teams, great idea. Thank you for the email.
24:03Shout-out to that class. Stay in school. Keep learning.
24:06Keep playing fantasy football. Great stuff. One question for each game.
24:09Minnesota at Chicago. Jamie, can the Minnesota defense stop the Chicago offense?
24:13They can. I hope they don't. But they can.
24:16Okay. They did last year. It shouldn't change how you approach your Bears in starting them.
24:21Start them. Yeah. Yeah. So, they did last year.
24:24Caleb had one touchdown through the air in two games against Minnesota.
24:28He was blitzed a lot. They were two of the four games where he was blitzed 40% of the time.
24:34But I just look at what happened last week against the Packers and how the Packers came out swinging against the Vikings, attacking downfield.
24:41And that's what I think Chicago will try and do as well.
24:45And they should have the offensive line to pass protect.
24:48And one of those games was week one for the Bears.
24:52So, their offensive line hadn't quite gelled yet. I'm with Jamie.
24:55I think the Bears are going to be pretty good this week.
24:59Seattle's at Arizona. Dave, would you start a running back in this game?
25:03Teammate battle. Jeremiah Love versus Jadarian Price. Not with a ton of confidence.
25:07I've got them both on the border of number two running backs.
25:11Jeremiah Love one spot ahead of Jadarian Price. I have them both behind Aaron Jones.
25:16Both behind Ramondre Stevenson. Both behind Chuba Hubbard. Both ahead of Basial Tootin, Krosky Merritt, Quinshawn Judkins.
25:21I worry about just that opportunity not quite getting to the level that we want it to get to for both of them.
25:28Including at the goal line. I'm not ready to say that Jadarian Price has earned goal line carries.
25:34I kind of feel like I need to see it first.
25:37And I certainly feel the exact same way with Jeremiah Love.
25:41Talent-wise, they're both great. Two or three weeks from now, they both might be must-starts.
25:45But for this week, and especially for Love against Seattle, such a tough matchup.
25:50I'm nervous about expecting big things from either one.
25:53Jamie, Caroline is at Atlanta. Starter sit Drake London and or Kyle Pitts.
25:57Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The quarterback situation is just so bad.
26:00So I think London is a borderline starter in two receiver leagues.
26:04And Pitts is a borderline starter across the board.
26:07So if you can replace Pitts, it's not a bad move to make.
26:11I don't know how many people want to roster more than one tight end.
26:15But it was awful. And now you're talking about another week of this.
26:19So in the leagues where I have London, obviously I'm starting him.
26:23In the leagues where I have Pitts, I'm starting him.
26:26I'm just not starting them with any semblance of confidence.
26:29This is ugly. I'm not starting Pitts. I can't go 0-2, you know?
26:33We're starting Kelsey. Heath and I are starting Kelsey over Pitts.
26:37Well, you have another option that you drafted, I'm assuming.
26:40So, you know, like this is one where if you have an open roster spot and you want to pick up a
26:47Hunter Henry or a David Njoku or one of these guys that are coming off good games and in the case of
26:54Henry has a great situation this week, like that's a move you can make.
26:58If you don't have an open roster spot, like I don't want to drop Kalon Black to pick up Hunter Henry.
27:05You know, I don't want to drop Emmitt Johnson to pick up Hunter Henry.
27:09You know, so if you have a player that you're not sold on, then sure, go get a second tenant.
27:15All right, Cleveland's at Tampa Bay. Dave, who's a better flex?
27:19Chris Godwin or Quinshawn Judkins? Godwin. That's easy in full PPR.
27:22It's easy in half PPR. And even in non-PPR, I just like the game script better for – I worry about the
27:29game script for Judkins and the game script should be okay for Godwin.
27:33I just feel like the Bucs are going to bounce back in a major way after last week.
27:39And their offense wasn't really that bad last week.
27:42It was just Baker Mayfield turning the ball over too much.
27:45Too many fouls. But Chris – I think Chris Godwin, a little bit of alarm bells for me anyway because he was not good.
27:53Nope, but this is one of the weeks where – this could almost be a Joe Boo week for him because it
28:00should be a favorable game script for the Bucs.
28:02It could be a Joe Boo week for all the Bucs.
28:06Why is that good? How is it a favorable game script for Chris Godwin?
28:10Because Tampa – first of all, you've got a motivated Baker Mayfield.
28:14Not only is he coming off of a terrible game, he's taking on the Browns and he can't stand the Browns.
28:20So I'm sure he's going to want to put his best foot forward.
28:25The offense for Cleveland is probably going to put their defense in bad spots just as it did last week.
28:31And that's going to give extra opportunities for Tampa to do what they want with the ball.
28:36I don't think they're going to sit on the ball and run it for all four quarters.
28:41Baker will throw. Godwin is certainly one of his top red zone options.
28:46I'm not saying he's a top 24 wide receiver or anything even close to that.
28:50I'm not even sure if I have him ranked as a top 36 guy.
28:55But I think he can still catch four or five passes and be a good candidate for a touchdown.
29:01I don't know if – Quinchon, you're just hoping that the Browns somehow end up near the goal line and Judkins plunges in.
29:08Giants are at the Rams Monday night. Jamie, is this a good game for the Giants' offense?
29:13I hope so. I mean, look, the Rams' defense did not look great last week and now they don't have Myles Garrett.
29:20We'll see what Aaron Donald's status is going to be.
29:23Probably won't know that until Saturday. I think you're just looking at the Giants right now.
29:28The offensive line was unbelievable against Dallas and hopefully that continues again.
29:32So the only one that really makes me nervous of the guys that are the must-starts, which I think you could say
29:39would be Dart, Neighbors likely, and Scadaboo would be Scadaboo because if he doesn't score, the lack of involvement in the passing game was disgusting.
29:47So I'm starting the other guys with confidence. And I'm still starting Scadaboo, but he's the one that makes me the most nervous.
29:54Washington's at Dallas. Who's your favorite flex on the Commanders, Dave?
29:57I mean, I think they're all in play. I think I have McLaurin ranked the highest, but not by much over Diggs.
30:04I don't want to rush into Antonio Williams. He's a guy for the bench and not a guy for a lineup unless it's like a super deep league.
30:13Okay. But you prefer McLaurin to Ja'Cory Krosky-Meritt? Yeah.
30:16Okay. I take Diggs over McLaurin. Okay. Jamie's going Diggs over McLaurin.
30:20Obviously, we want to start a lot of players in this Washington-Dallas game.
30:24Ja'Cory Krosky-Meritt or the running backs in the Seattle-Arizona game?
30:27The running backs in the Seattle-Arizona game. Price, Krosky-Meritt, love.
30:30Miami at San Francisco. Jamie, if we were... I guess I wouldn't say desperate.
30:34Caleb Douglas or Debo Samuel? Debo. Okay. Yeah, I had a tough time coming up with a question for Miami-San Francisco.
30:41But basically, start or sit Debo Samuel? Start. I think, you know, three receiver leagues for sure.
30:46You know, two receiver leagues is probably tough to get him into your lineup.
30:51But he looked good last week and no stripling.
30:53And so that should lend itself to him, you know, hopefully get more than one carry as well.
30:59But, you know, lend himself to getting probably in the neighborhood of six targets again.
31:04Brock Farty looked awesome. I think this is going to be a game where they, you know, they're two touchdown favorites.
31:10They have an opportunity here to just destroy the Dolphins.
31:13And I think they will. And someone asking, Jobu, like Major League?
31:17As Dave said, a Jobu week. Yeah, it's a term we've...
31:21I think Dave came up with. Dave and Heath, if you've seen the movie and you know what he says to Jobu right before he triumphantly...
31:29Oh, you know what? I'm not going to spoil it.
31:32Great movie. Yeah, it's almost like... Yeah, don't spoil a 30-year-old movie.
31:36We're done with you, Jobu. Right. Yeah, Jobu... If you can't get it done now, then you'll never get it done.
31:42Right. I do it myself. Minnesota's at Chicago. Here we go.
31:46Last year, yes, Brian Flores got the better of Ben Johnson.
31:49But the previous two years in Detroit, the Lions scored 30 or 31 points and had 381 total yards or more in
31:56all four games in which Ben Johnson faced off against Brian Flores.
32:00All right, Carson Wentz, if he even plays, is, I guess I'd call him, based on your rankings, a low-end starter.
32:06And Aaron Jones. Okay, so Heath talked about he loves Aaron Jones this week.
32:11Dave, do you love Aaron Jones? He's a number two fantasy running back.
32:15Huge opportunity for him to lead the way for the Vikings on the ground.
32:19I worry a little bit about him playing third downs.
32:22I think that could be DJ Dallas territory. But no Jordan Mason is a really good thing for Aaron Jones.
32:29And he looked good. Looked good in the preseason.
32:32Looked good in week one. And the Bears' defense isn't particularly great.
32:35Chuba Hubbard had a great rushing average against him.
32:38Chuba caught a touchdown. I think he ran for a touchdown also.
32:42So huge opportunity here for Aaron Jones to come through as a spot starter.
32:4617 times he's played them in his career. 14 of those games, he's been 10 PPR points or more.
32:52Would you start Aaron Jones or Drake London? Jones.
32:55I have London higher in PPR. Assuming that Penix does not start.
32:59Yeah, right. It's Cooper Rush. All right, Jordan Addison.
33:02We got some Jordan Addison screenshots too we can show.
33:05Oh, please. He had no catches on two targets.
33:08No fantasy points against Green Bay. Any interest in Jordan Addison?
33:11You want the screenshots first? Yeah. All right. Let's go to the first one here.
33:16He is... No commentary? I forgot to put some quotes.
33:19He's at the 34-yard line here. He is wide open.
33:22How desperate was Carson Wentz to get Justin Jefferson the ball?
33:25Look at the Green Bay 30-yard line. That's Justin Jefferson completely blanketed by somebody.
33:30Jordan Addison does not have anyone within 10 yards of him on any side.
33:34And that ball went to Justin Jefferson. So that's one opportunity for Addison.
33:38Here's the next one. Addison's at the seven-yard line.
33:41He's open here. The ball was behind him. This is just...
33:45I don't know whose fault it was. They weren't on the same page.
33:49And then I think we have one more for Jordan Addison as well.
33:53He's wide open, and that's an incomplete pass. He just missed him there.
33:57And... Like, wide open. So there were some chances.
34:00It wasn't going to be a great game for Addison, even if he caught all three of those balls.
34:06But Carson Wentz only threw 22 passes. Quite honestly, Carson Wentz didn't play well.
34:10I mean, I know the stats were good, but he was very inaccurate.
34:14He made some good plays, though. Enough of them.
34:17Anyway... Yeah, the Carson Wentz game. Yeah. So sit Addison.
34:20You guys have him in the 40s, but... I don't think you have to sit him.
34:25Look, when you get... When there's no bye weeks, 40 is basically a top 30 receiver.
34:30If you're just looking at it from who you're starting and who you're sitting.
34:34So, to go back to your high upside plays, he's one of the more high upside plays.
34:40Yep. And to go back to last season, when Carson Wentz started, Addison was very good.
34:45And so, I think you just got to look at it as no prep.
34:49This was supposed to be Kyler Murray's game, so who knows how much Wentz practiced.
34:54TJ Hockinson had a rare good game, so we'll see if that continues as well.
34:59And then, like you said, it's not like he threw the ball a lot.
35:03So we'll see what this game looks like, what this game unfolds.
35:07I don't think the Vikings' defense falls apart like the Panthers' defense did.
35:11We're not getting 59 points out of the Bears unless everything just goes completely crazy.
35:15But this should be a game where you're going to have to score.
35:20You're going to have to push tempo a little bit.
35:23And I think the Bears will score on the Vikings' defense to a certain degree where the Vikings may be chasing points.
35:30So, it's worth your interest, especially with all the receiver injuries that we're dealing with, to consider Jordan Addison as a starter.
35:36So, don't look at 40 as saying, oh, he's a must-sit guy.
35:40It's just we can't get, you know, we can't get 30, we can't get 45 receivers into the top 36.
35:46And we have some TJ Hockinson questions, so I'll get to those.
35:50He's ranked in the 20s, I think. We'll get to your questions about the game at the end of this.
35:56But let's talk about the Bears here. Caleb Williams is a top-four quarterback.
36:01Other than Josh Allen, who would you start over Caleb Williams?
36:04Lamar. Lamar for now. Okay. But that's the end of the list.
36:08Start him against the Vikings team that was the best against quarterbacks last year.
36:12Gave up 23.5 points to Love in Week 1.
36:15DeAndre Swift, I can't imagine people are getting away from him.
36:18Although I will point out, as encouraging as it was, when you look at the snap shares between him and Monongai, it
36:25was exactly the same as it was, like 60-40.
36:28Basically exactly the same as it was for the second half of last year.
36:33It was a little surprising, I guess, to see 18 carries for Swift, but the playing time, you know, was the same as what it was last year.
36:41Kyle Monongai or Jordan Addison? Jamie, who's a better flex?
36:44I'll take Monongai, but it's close. All right. Again, I anticipate Monongai's start percentage will be pretty low, and then if he
36:51scores, people are going to be like, why didn't I start Monongai?
36:55Dave, how do you feel about the Bears wide receivers?
36:58Absolutely. Sorry, I was just looking at where I had Addison versus Monongai in my rankings.
37:03I like Addison better in PPR. I love Loveland, going right back to him.
37:08I think Burden can be good, but I think I have him ranked as like a borderline wide receiver 2-3.
37:14Yeah, he's just outside my top 24. Odunze, more of a low-end number three wide receiver.
37:19And I'm curious about Khalif Raymond because he had that short area role.
37:23And if that's his role and if he still sees a decent amount of playing time, at least on passing downs, he's
37:30going to be a check down option for Caleb when there's pressure on him.
37:34And there's going to be a lot of pressure on him.
37:38That's just what Brian Flores does. So I think he's more of a desperation PPR play at wide receiver, right in that
37:45same group of, all right, can he get me 10 PPR points?
37:48I'd rather go with the Patriots guys. I think Trey Harris has more upside, but he's just another name to keep in mind.
37:56Maybe it's like a deep, deep league bench stash.
37:58Okay, I've got another Raymond quote. See if you know the movie.
38:02Raymond, is that you? No, no, it's not Raymond.
38:05Raymond, no, that's white men can't jump when Raymond goes to, he holds up the convenience store.
38:10Oh, yeah, go in. Okay, a lot of Khalif Raymond team names for sure.
38:15I see them all over the place. Let's see what the people are asking here.
38:19By the way, is Loveland, he's like tight end two or three for you guys, right?
38:24Yeah, I'm not changing a thing after last year.
38:27All right, back to him. All right, let's see what people are asking.
38:31I do have likely ahead of him, but still.
38:34Oh. Okay. Aaron Jones or Chase Brown? Chase Brown.
38:37DeAndre Swift or Ramondre Stevenson? Swift. Aaron Jones, Ja'Cory Krosky, Merritt, Marshawn Lloyd.
38:41Jones. Jones Jones. Romo Dunze, it says Warren. So Romo or Tyler Warren or Jalen Warren, I don't know, in the flex.
38:48I would play both Warrens over Romo Dunze. I'd put a Dunze over Jalen Warren, but not Tyler Warren.
38:54Jalen Hurts or Caleb Williams? Caleb. Caleb. Love them both.
38:57Romo Dunze or Chris Godwin? Godwin. CG. Burden or London?
39:00Burden. I have London hire. Hawkinson or Mayer? Mayer.
39:03Mayer. Tootin, Burden, or Judkins at flex? Burden. Luther.
39:06Loveland or Likely? Dave says Likely. Jamie says Loveland.
39:09And Aaron Jones or Ja'Cory Krosky, Merritt? We just did that one, Aaron Jones.
39:13I'm sorry. I may have missed it. I was looking up the Raymond quote.
39:17We are not starting Romo Dunze because of playing time concerns?
39:21I would just give it another week. You know, it's easy, depending on how you drafted, to look at it and say,
39:28okay, I drafted Burden as a starter. I'll go back to him, but at least he was productive.
39:33Dunze with the two catches had the big play.
39:36I don't know. I still want to give it another week to see with him.
39:41So he's in that Addison range for me of just, you know, don't really want to trust him.
39:47But if I need him, I'll start him in a three-year-old.
39:50Who do you like better between the two? Because I've gone back and forth.
39:54I've settled on a Dunze over Addison. I'll take Addison over a Dunze.
39:58Romo Dunze or Quentin Johnston from the chat? Johnston with or without McConkie.
40:03Agreed. Interesting. With or without McConkie? With or without McConkie.
40:06It's a live version that Bono did once in Los Angeles.
40:09It was great. Vikings DST, start or sit? Were you there?
40:13Yeah, I was there. He would never leave his house.
40:16Sit for the Vikings defense. I would sit them if you can.
40:19I've seen you two twice. Let's see if you can cut them.
40:23Three times. I've seen them three times. They play Tampa and then Miami, so not necessarily a good idea to cut the Vikings defense.
40:31But it is a good idea to take a break.
40:34And while you're at break, think about how many times you've seen you two in concert.
40:39More than me? Probably not. Three times? We'll be right back on Fantasy Football today.
40:44Tough calls in this game. Seattle at Arizona. We do have, again, that former Notre Dame teammate battle where Dave already talked about Jeremiah Love and Jadarian Price.
40:52And we can answer some questions about them. But they are borderline number two.
40:57Maybe more like flexes. He's starting Ramondre Stevenson, I think you said, over them.
41:01And certainly Aaron Jones. So here is the speak it into existence of the game.
41:06Seattle makes Jadarian Price a bell cow and he gets 18 touches and dominates.
41:10That's obviously not something you can bank on, but gosh.
41:13I think it's realistic, though. It's definitely realistic. You know, the other guys didn't look great.
41:18Obviously, Price looked awesome. You have a backup quarterback playing in a game that you should win.
41:24You're our favorite. You're on the road. I know the Cardinals defense played great last week, but let's see if that's actually
41:31the reality or it was just the Chargers charging.
41:33So you can't say, oh, Jadarian Price, he's safe.
41:36He's going to be awesome. But when you start to stack him up to some other running backs, including the guy on
41:43the other side of the field who was the starter on their collegiate team, I think it's a better opportunity for Jadarian
41:50Price than it is for Jeremiah Love. So Brian Flory said this week that he wants to get more opportunities for Jadarian Price.
41:57I'm trying to find the exact quote. Here it is.
42:00We were very deliberate about the reps that he was going to get and how he was going to be used.
42:07Didn't play in the preseason. It was his very first NFL game.
42:11Huge stage. We wanted to be cautious in terms of his workload.
42:14He earned more reps moving forward. We'll continue to bring him along and develop him the right way.
42:20It's great. It's great. And he obviously was the best running back on the team in week one.
42:26So no question. Let's it's also and I know we said this a lot in the preseason and even after week one,
42:33there was the feel of Ken Walker, Zach Charbonnet of the explosive running back being Walker coming off the field for the
42:40touchdown guy, Charbonnet or the short yardage guy. But again, those two guys aren't Charbonnet.
42:44Charbonnet was a second round pick. He was, you know, a high profile, high level prospect, you know, coming out from UCLA.
42:51These guys are backups for a reason, you know, so we'll see what happens.
42:56Charbonnet is healthy. But for now, like if you're the Seahawks and it's drew lock under center and you don't want to
43:02lose a game like this doesn't make me feel like uber confident about JSN.
43:07I'm still starting without question, but it just feels like that your defense and your run game win this game.
43:13Don't make drew lock have to do that. It should be Jadarian price getting a lot of work.
43:19Okay. So price still though, like we, we, we hope, but we can't bank on it.
43:24So we're cautious there. And, uh, Jacobi let's, so look, you know what you're doing with the Seahawks, right?
43:30It's JSN basically is the only must start I'll answer.
43:33I'm sure there'll be some price questions to answer in a bit.
43:37As far as the Cardinals go, Jamie, like why would I not start Jacobi reset at this point?
43:42Uh, he had a good game scored 23.4 fantasy points at Seattle last year and he throws a ton.
43:48And anyway, like who do you like other than McBride for this team?
43:52He's the only must start, you know, you can clearly look at the receivers and say Wilson, maybe a number three receiver upside of Marvin Harrison.
44:00He had two great games against Seattle last year.
44:03Uh, could that, you know, come through again, but so.
44:06Disappointing in week one. I don't think anybody starting Kendrick Bourne, but not a bad guy to roster just in case that happens again.
44:14And then when it comes to the backfield, it's just such a tough run defense and you don't know how the splits going to go.
44:22You should expect more work for love as well.
44:25You know, we just haven't heard it to the same extent that we heard it out of Seattle, but you should expect more work there.
44:32That being said, Algier is a very confident running back and a guy that they will lean on.
44:38And most likely we just didn't see it happen.
44:41Get those goal line chances that I think love will probably lose.
44:45So he's not a bad flex play. I just think if you're comparing the two backfields, the two running backs, even though
44:51love is the better prospect, you don't want to play the guy going against Seattle.
44:56You want to play the guy going against Arizona.
44:59So that makes sense. Brissette could be a starter in super flex and two quarterback leagues.
45:04I'm just a little bit nervous that we don't get the second touchdown.
45:08So probably expect 35 plus pass attempts. Got you that last week.
45:12Got you one touchdown. Seattle sacked him five times last year.
45:15Like they're going to make things very difficult for him and, you know, hit him a lot and do those things that are going to make him uncomfortable.
45:24So just not a high ceiling in my opinion.
45:27So we're probably getting another game right around 20 fantasy points.
45:30I would go under. Would you guys start Kendrick Bourne over Marvin Harrison Jr.?
45:35No, I think I'm there. Would you start Trey Harris if McConkie's out over Marvin Harrison Jr.?
45:40I would. I'll double check it, but I think I would too.
45:44Harrison, like I'm so, so low on Marvin Harrison Jr.
45:47just in general, but he still can be an end zone target.
45:51They'll get him more involved. He's not going to have three targets every week.
45:55He can still make some contested catches like he did on the 31 yard catch or whatever it was like.
46:01It's probably, this is the worst of Marvin Harrison Jr., but obviously there's plenty of reasons to be concerned.
46:07Michael Wilson or Chris Godwin? Godwin. Double checking. Go ahead.
46:10Michael Wilson or Michael Wilson or Romo Dunze? I've got Godwin ahead of Odunze ahead of Wilson.
46:16Okay. So you guys don't. Where's Wilson for you guys?
46:1938. For me. What'd you say, Jamie? Behind Addison for me.
46:22Same here. Right behind him for me. Okay. Okay.
46:25And Seattle's DST is top five for everyone. In fact, if you look at our rankings page, Jacob Gibbs now has a column.
46:32Jacob, so you get four different rankings to choose from, but everyone has the Seattle DST top five.
46:38Let's see what questions we have for this game.
46:41Michael Wilson or Terry McLaurin in half PPR? Terry.
46:44Price or DK Metcalf half PPR? Price. I think I will nervously go with Price.
46:48Bo Nix or Jacoby Brissett? Brissett. Same. Same. Jeremiah Love or Jadarian Price?
46:52Half PPR. Price. I had Love ranked earlier ahead of Price, and I think it just makes sense to go with the running back against Arizona.
47:01So, Price. Okay. Michael Wilson or Metcalf? Did we do that?
47:04No. Michael Wilson or Metcalf? Metcalf. I think I have Wilson higher.
47:08I'll double check. Start two of these three. Omarian Hampton, Jadarian Price, David Montgomery in PPR.
47:13Sending Price. Same. Tootin or Price? Price. Kendrick Bourne or Dontavian Wicks?
47:17Wicks. I think I have Bourne higher. Tyler Algier or Tony Pollard?
47:20Or Caleb Douglas? Oh, yikes. Caleb Douglas. I would go Douglas in PPR, Algier in not.
47:25All right. I'm taking Douglas in all three. Just a few more Tyler Algiers.
47:30Tyler Algier or Ramondre Stevenson? Ramondre. I'm sorry. I meant Trayvon Henderson.
47:33Oh, I'd go Henderson. I think I would too.
47:36And last one. Tyler Algier or Alec Pierce? Pierce.
47:39We got to see if Pierce plays. Right. He practiced in full on Wednesday and then missed practice on Thursday.
47:45So we'll see if Pierce. Okay. Carolina's at Atlanta.
47:48Stat of the game, which I gave on our Beyond the Box score episode on Monday.
47:53Over the last seven games for the Carolina Panthers, including their playoff game, you've got 45 targets for Coker.
47:59You've got 46 targets for Ted Aroa McMillan. But Coker has had eight more, 12 more catches, like 150 more yards, something,
48:06you know, four more touchdowns, more red zone targets, more green zone targets, and more end zone targets than Ted Aroa McMillan.
48:13Who are you starting, Dave? McMillan or Coker? McMillan.
48:16But they're extremely close. Do you think this is going to be another good game for the Panthers passing game?
48:22Are you starting Bryce Young? I am not starting Bryce Young.
48:26I don't think the volume will be the same.
48:28I expect the Panthers to play a little closer to 50-50 in the pass and the run.
48:34I would start Bryce Young over Drake May. Oh.
48:36Would you start him over Jacoby Reset? I would.
48:39Okay. So. And Cooper Rush. Yeah. Bryce Young's last two games in Atlanta, 699 passing yards, six touchdowns, no interceptions, two rushing
48:46touchdowns, 37.9 fantasy points or more in both of those games.
48:50Chuba Hubbard or Aaron Jones? Chuba. It is close.
48:52Jones for Amy. It is close. Chuba. Close for both of them.
48:56That means they're both starts. If you can get them in your lineup, Chuba Hubbard and Aaron Jones.
49:02Yep. Yeah. And start the wide receivers. But I think, you know, people are going to start McMillan.
49:08So then let's talk about Coker. Is he in your top 24?
49:11Just outside. But essentially, again, looking at rankings, he's right there.
49:15And if Zay Flowers ends up not playing, Nico Collins not playing, Coker's going to make the top 24.
49:21Yep. How do you rank the top three wide receivers in this game?
49:25McMillan, Coker, London. I've got London ahead of him still.
49:28Why? Why some confidence in London? Because I still think the Falcons are going to have to throw maybe even a little bit more.
49:35And it just, going back and watching the film, I'm sure they're going to say, we need to get Drake London the ball more.
49:43It gives us a chance to take some pressure off of literally everybody else in the offense.
49:48And I think it's an easier matchup for him.
49:51You are not exactly the high guy. Jamie's the low guy on London.
49:55Jamie's got him 25th. Dave and Heath, 16th and 17th.
49:58And Jacob, 21st. Heath technically one spot ahead on London than Dave at 16.
50:03So there's the range there for Drake London. Jamie's the low guy.
50:06And understanding why, I'm so nervous to start him.
50:09I mean, I have him in a lineup where I have DJ Moore.
50:13So I almost feel like... Me too. Same. Yeah.
50:16I don't think I can get away from him, unfortunately.
50:19But I don't think anyone cares. Why am I looking up my lineup right now?
50:24No, it's one of those situations where you've got to have great options on your team to sit Drake London.
50:30I don't know how many people have Jalen Coker and Drake London decisions to make.
50:35But that's one where you could go Coker. You know, it's quarterback situation, which is not something we thought even going into the season is better.
50:43And so if Penix starts, it hasn't been ruled out yet.
50:47Praxin fell yesterday. He wants to make sure he's right, you know, similar to what we had to deal with with Malik Neighbors last week.
50:54You know, so there may be a scenario where Penix does play.
50:58And I know Strand is also in the conversation to start for the Falcons, which may be better than Cooper Rush.
51:05So like you read Start-Sit, for example, I have both Falcons guys as the bust alert.
51:10Drake London and Kyle Pitts. And as I explained in there, if the quarterback just if the start starting quarterback is different
51:17than Cooper Rush, I'm going to remove those posts and put somebody different in those spots.
51:22But as of now, if it's Cooper Rush, it was abysmal.
51:25And, you know, I had more optimism last week, maybe than anybody.
51:29I thought, OK, it's more so for Pitts. It's Kevin Stefanski system.
51:33It'll be short area passes for Kyle Pitts. They attempted one.
51:36Like, you know, you got to. Is B. John, what, nine targets or no more than that?
51:41B. John had one of his best receiving games ever.
51:45And to their credit, and this probably speaks to the Steelers more than anything, they almost won the game.
51:50Yeah. Like, you know, that just goes to show you like how bad their quarterback play was and how great B.
51:57John Robinson is that they almost won that one.
52:00You know, part of it also is the Steelers offense.
52:03That's what I'm saying. You know, it's probably more of an indictment on the Steelers than anything else.
52:09But agreed on their offense. It's just the looking at it as, OK, can they get by with mediocre quarterback play or just god-awful quarterback play?
52:17And hopefully the answer is no, and they decide to go in a different direction.
52:22Well, Carolina plays a lot of zone coverage. It's a specific type of zone coverage.
52:26Their pass rush isn't as good as Pittsburgh's. I'm moderately more optimistic that they can rebound and remember what Kevin Stefanski did
52:33to get them to this point, which is keep those short passes going.
52:37And so I'm hoping that that's what happens and that Drake London can get six catches, turns it into 80, 90 yards, something like that.
52:45He's going to need more than six to get 80.
52:48He's going to need eight for 80. I mean, that might be a little steep, but he's a number two receiver this week.
52:55I don't think he should be. I don't think we talk about panicking too much in week one.
53:01I don't want to panic too much here and just assume that what we saw from Cooper Rush when he was under
53:08crazy duress from the Steelers is going to be what we see this week against the Panthers, who don't have the same type of pass rush.
53:16Well, but I mean, we don't know what their pass rush is going to be because they have Jalen Phillips.
53:22It could be better this year. But the last three starts.
53:26It's not TJ Watt. I mean, TJ Watt hasn't really been.
53:29The game wrecker in the middle, though. Yeah. All right.
53:32Anyway, the last. Please. Please. The last three starts for Cooper Rush.
53:36One of them, he got benched, but he's thrown no more than 22 passes in any of them.
53:42He's thrown for 179, 72 and 143 yards with one touchdown and six interceptions.
53:46Two of those with the Ravens last year and then week one.
53:50I mean, he's right now he's playing like the worst quarterback in football.
53:54So, all right. That's my that's my piece. I and that's saying something because Deshaun Watson's playing football.
54:00Deshaun Watson, I was much better than Cooper. He was.
54:03He was. He was. Yeah. Deshaun Watson, after the first quarter of week one, had a 129.8 passer rating.
54:09He actually played all right, like legitimately after a terrible start.
54:12But OK, we've said our piece. You have some differing opinions there on London.
54:17The other thing is just because it didn't happen last game.
54:20I did say that Cooper Rush had a very strong history of targeting the hell out of his number one wide receiver.
54:27He did. It didn't happen in week one. No, he did.
54:30Doesn't mean it can't happen in week two. Of course he did in week one.
54:35Oh, Bijan. Yeah. All right. On the other side, I think.
54:38Yeah, I mean, pretty much covered here. But I'm sure we have a lot of Bryce Young questions.
54:44So let's see what we got here. Coker or Parker Washington?
54:48That's Parker Washington. Coker or Downs? Coker. Coker. Coker or Godwin?
54:51Coker. Coker. Coker, Tootin, Golden, Terry McLaurin. Pick two.
54:54Coker and Tootin. I definitely have Coker, and I would take Matthew Golden with him.
54:59Listen, man, if we can't start Terry McLaurin this week over Tootin and Golden, then why did we draft Terry McLaurin?
55:05And I'm not saying you're wrong, but it's like the Cowboys are the Cowboys again.
55:10If Terry McLaurin's not going to have a big game this week, then that's troubling.
55:14Jamie, would you start Bryce Young over Lamar Jackson?
55:17No. Coker, Tootin, or Diggs, or likely? Likely. Likely over Coker?
55:21Likely over Coker. Coker's next best. London or Sutton?
55:24London. London. London or Tedderol McMillan? I'll take Drake.
55:26Pick two. Coker, Josh Downs, Sean, no, Trey Tucker, Vele, and Wicks.
55:30Coker and I believe I have Vele over Downs.
55:33Cooper, I'm sorry, Cooper Rush starting. Do we go Drake, London, Jaden Reed, or Caleb Douglas?
55:38Still London. Yes. Yeah, I agree. I'm probably the lowest on London.
55:42I'm going London there. The only one really I think that you're going to consider that was a potential waiver wire guy is Jalen Coker.
55:50That's the only one I think that you're looking at here.
55:53The other part of this maybe is if Olave, who got hurt in practice, is Vele if you want to go that route.
56:00I would not. The only one would be Coker.
56:03How about a guy that was drafted in Round 5 or 6 or 7 like a Christian Watson?
56:09No, to me it's easy. Like Parker Washington over Drake London and Christian Watson over Drake London and Luther Burden over Drake London.
56:16Any of these guys that were Round 5 receivers.
56:19But I'm just talking about like we spent Tuesday saying Jalen Coker was 70% rostered.
56:23So 10 team leagues he should be 100% in any random 12 team leagues that he was still out there and had
56:30a monster game and has a great matchup and has a great history.
56:34You know, like there's a lot of reasons to like Jalen Coker this week and a lot of reasons to downgrade Drake London.
56:42I'm starting digs over London. I'm not there yet, but that's close.
56:45Okay, Dave London. And finally we have the DST for the Panthers.
56:49They are just outside the top 12, but not the worst idea.
56:53They're 14, 15, 16th for Dave, Jamie and Heath not ranked for Jacob Cleveland at Tampa Bay.
56:58The stat of the game was I already gave it to Sean Watson.
57:02After the first quarter, 13 of 17, 181 yards and a touchdown, including a really nice throw to Denzel Boston.
57:09I'm going to sit to Sean Watts. Are we starting anyone on the Browns?
57:13I would prefer not to. Yes, I would. The exact same answer.
57:17Not the best debut for Concepcion. I mean, it's good that he got five targets, four for 43, but he only had a 65% route participation rate.
57:25And that was surprising. Oh, wait, am I wrong about that?
57:29Because I put that under. I don't think you're wrong on the stats.
57:33You're wondering if you're wrong. Well, I put the 65% route participation rate for Jerry Judy, but I think it was Concepcion.
57:40And he had a 62% slot rate. So looking like a guy that's not going to be in on the two receiver sets.
57:47He is bright. And his route rate was 50% in the first half.
57:51So that was a number I was expecting to be considerably higher.
57:55We're a bad game away from people asking to drop him.
57:58Don't do that. Just see how this unfolds. He's going to be probably a bottom roster player if he does have a bad game for you.
58:06But there's still so much upside, so don't give up on him if he struggles.
58:11You've got to give him a chance once Sardar Sanders is under center.
58:15We talked about Judkins earlier in the show. We're not super excited about him.
58:19Would you start Judkins or the Seahawks Cardinals? Love and Price.
58:23Love and Price. Price and Love. Love. Yeah, Judkins.
58:26Half PPR league. Judkins or Drake London? London. All right.
58:29We're going to try to get away from the Browns.
58:32Harold Fannin Jr. is about 15th in the rankings.
58:35He had three targets and four fantasy points. Another guy weighed on the quarterback change.
58:39Right, but you have to be able to carry two tight ends though.
58:44I will be curious to see if the Bucs are one of those teams that sucks against tight ends because they were so bad against Gasicki.
58:52Not only did Gasicki have 78 yards and a touchdown, he was also wide open in the end zone and should have had a second touchdown.
59:00And Burrow, I think it was hit as he threw and he overthrew it.
59:04But I think what will be interesting to see, Bucs and Bengals, if you go into a week and say, we are
59:11going to only get this out of Jamar Chase and T.
59:15Higgins, but, and the but being Gasicki, doing that.
59:17Like, you take away Jamar Chase and T. Higgins all day long and take your chances with Mike Gasicki.
59:23So, I wonder if that was the mentality for Todd Bowles.
59:27Like, hey, we're going to do everything we possibly can to just eliminate the receivers.
59:31And they did that. Well, yeah, yeah, for sure.
59:34I just, I think probably a lot of people have already tried that with the Bengals.
59:39It's easier said. I mean, the Bucs succeeded. Yeah.
59:42Again, I'm not sure. I just want to know Jamar Chase's like true health status right now.
59:47Sure. You guys like Baker Mayfield. You have him in the top 10.
59:52You're higher on him than Jacob and Heath are.
59:54Dave? He's my star of the week. Yeah, Jamie talked about him yesterday.
59:58Go ahead. He's your star of the week. Talk about him again.
60:02No, I just, you know, Dave laid it out a little bit earlier.
60:06You know, you got the revenge game factor here.
60:09He hates the Browns. Coming off a bad game, he's been great at home.
60:13Even despite the struggles last year, still averaged over 20 fantasy points per game at home.
60:18You just saw Trevor Lawrence get 275-4 in basically a half against this team.
60:23So, I don't think this defense is going to be very good.
60:27I think this is a huge bounce back game for Baker, who, if he didn't have the three fumbles, would have been
60:34an okay fantasy quarterback despite not throwing a touchdown.
60:36Still ran for one. So, I don't think Baker's going to have a top five game.
60:41I said this yesterday. I was starting Baker over Goff.
60:45You know, I regret that one. But, I think Mayfield will have, you know, close to 23 to 25 fantasy points if things go right.
60:52Okay, Baker or Stafford? Baker. Baker or Dart? Dart.
60:55Baker or Jordan Love? Baker. Baker Mayfield. All right, start him.
60:59Start Bucky Irving. He's a top 12 running back.
61:01However, just want to see what happens if they get to the goal line.
61:06Does Sean Tucker work in there? That could piss us off.
61:09But, we're going to start. Bucky, Ibuka over London?
61:12Yes. Yeah, we like him. I love the way Ibuka looked last week.
61:16I don't know why the Bucs got away from throwing to him in the second half.
61:21All of his numbers came in the first half.
61:24He looked good. I think he continues to look good against Cleveland.
61:28I mean, what did you think about Godwin? And then, follow-up question.
61:32Not great. Yeah. Like, okay, Godwin obviously didn't look good last year.
61:35And we just said, okay, he was hurt. He was coming off this major injury.
61:40Looked better, undoubtedly, in week one. But didn't, to me, look like the Chris Godwin of old.
61:45So, there's the first question is, what do we think about Godwin?
61:49And the second question is, is Jalen McMillan a good stash right now to beat the waiver wire?
61:55Because he's going to play this week. And maybe they need that injection of speed in their offense.
62:00He's obviously been a big part of Tampa's game plan for the last two years when healthy.
62:06So, not a bad call to stash him if you have a roster spot to play with.
62:11That being said, we have so many injuries at receiver.
62:14Or is it better to take a chance on a Patriots guy, a Texans guy, Trey Harris, Rashad Bateman, those type of players?
62:21Yes. It was going to be long-term absences for those other guys.
62:25But almost every time McMillan's been on the field, he scored a touchdown.
62:29You know, you go back to the end of the 2024 season, his last five games, he had seven touchdowns over that span.
62:36He comes back last year, end of the season, has a touchdown in week 18, I believe it was.
62:42He's just a guy that Baker Mayfield trusts. He's a guy that this team, I think, will lean on.
62:48We'll see now with Ted Hirsch part of this and how much that factors in everything.
62:53But I don't think it's a bad call. I also don't think, you know, like to judge Godwin's first game and say,
63:00okay, he's not going to be good. No, I didn't say that.
63:04Huh? I didn't say that. Well, I mean that he didn't look good.
63:08Sorry. We'll see how this, you know, continues to unfold.
63:11I think Cincinnati's defense, by the time we get to the end of the year, if they're healthy, we're going to look
63:18back and say, this is a really good team and they did a great job just in terms of retooling that defense,
63:25especially with the pressure that they're getting up the middle and stopping the run.
63:29So it's just one of those things where we'll see how this Browns defense adjusts.
63:34We'll see how this Bucs offense adjusts. I still think Chris Godwin's a very good number three receiver, which is where you drafted him.
63:42We had the, and I think, you know, to go back to draft conversation, we didn't know what a Bucs status was
63:48going to be with the toe injury. And Godwin was just getting all these rave reviews from coaching staff, players, and media.
63:55You know, so it wasn't like it was just one person saying it and we fell for something that wasn't true.
64:02So we'll see what he looks like. He's a 30 plus year old receiver.
64:06You know, he's not going to be the same type of guy.
64:10We just hope that he gets more targets and more opportunities.
64:14Fair. I like that he played a ton. I like that he was in the slot 60% of the time.
64:20I don't think either of those things are going to change with Jalen McMillan coming back.
64:25He's clearly a short area target. I was a little encouraged by the 30-yard reception where he went over the middle against Cincinnati.
64:32They missed a tackle and then he was able to basically fight his way.
64:36He didn't really run away. It's not like his speed was on display for the next like 15, 20 yards of gain that he had there.
64:45I just think that that's kind of what his role is going to be is being that safety valve and over the middle target for Baker Mayfield.
64:53And I think that'll really come into play in the red zone.
64:57If he doesn't do it this week, if the target per route rate is below 15% again this week, then we can probably comfortably move on from Godwin.
65:06Yeah. Okay. I mean, as at least put him on the bench, but we'll see.
65:10All right. Here we go. Questions from this game.
65:13Godwin or Diggs? Godwin, but it's close. Okay. Tootin or Judkins?
65:17I'd go Tootin. Knicks or Mayfield? Knicks in six.
65:19Mayfield. Knicks in five. Baker Mayfield or Drake May?
65:22Jamie's going Baker Mayfield. I mean, yeah, Baker Mayfield.
65:25Godwin or Gainwell? Godwin. I would go with Godwin.
65:28Browns or any college football team? The Browns defense is not bad.
65:32It's the offense that I've got major reservations over, as we all do.
65:36Can we give the Browns Arch Manning already? I don't know if it's going to be him.
65:41Could be Dante Moore. Marv? Sure. Judkins or Marv?
65:44It's going to be Arch Manning. It better be Arch Manning.
65:47Oh. If Jimmy Haslam has anything to say about it, it's going to be Arch Manning.
65:52Bucs or Jags DST? The Bucs. Bucs. All right.
65:55You guys love the Bucs DST. I think you have him top four.
65:59Concepcion? I have him top one. Oh, wow. Concepcion or Antonio Williams?
66:03I'd go Antonio Williams. All right. We've got three games left.
66:06I'm going to give you the task. Let's go try to get 10 minutes for these three games.
66:12See how we do here. I always save the easiest games for last.
66:16Giants at Rams. Question of the game. Will either Cam Scadaboo or Blake Corum have more touchdowns than catches this season?
66:23Oh, wow. I think Corum. No, neither one will.
66:25A lot more catches. Let's make this game simple.
66:28Puka must start. Kyron must start. Neighbors must start, right?
66:31Yes. Likely must start. Scadaboo will have more catches than touchdowns.
66:35So far, it's 1-0 touchdowns. I know so far.
66:38I'm staying for the year. Likely must start. Is Devante Adams a must start?
66:42I think Scadaboo and Adams fall into the most likely start.
66:46Yeah. I have Adams at the border of number two, number three wide receivers.
66:5024th. Same. Yeah. He was another guy like Addison who was open for some big plays.
66:55And look, it was the same thing as last year.
66:58He had a 12-yard ADOT. It's basically a career high.
67:01He was open. And Stafford just missed him. Stafford played like crap last week.
67:06He did. You don't know if it's just not playing in the preseason or the stupid flight to Australia.
67:12Both of those things. Or that he's just an old guy now.
67:15We don't know. Well, the 49ers defense has played really well.
67:19It could be. It literally could be all of those things.
67:22Correct. So I am hoping that it's going to be a big bounce back game for Stafford.
67:28I do love this Giants pass rush. They didn't get to Dak the way that I thought that they would in week one.
67:35Yeah. And that makes me think that they're not going to be able to get to Stafford in week two.
67:41I'm a little hesitant to say Stafford is a must start, but he's in that group of maybe starts.
67:47And you have a very banged up Giants secondary right now.
67:50So I thought the guys were fine, Newsom and Banks.
67:54Well, didn't they mispractice yesterday? I'm not surprised if they mispracticed yesterday, but one of them was evaluated for a concussion.
68:00This is important. I mean, the Giants secondary stinks to begin with, I think.
68:05They played okay, I'd have to say, against the Cowboys.
68:08Yeah. I mean, pass rush is a big part of that.
68:11Okay. So Banks was limited and Newsom was limited.
68:14I think they're going to be fully healthy going into this game.
68:18They both got hurt late in the fourth quarter and they were clear.
68:22They were fine. But yeah, like this is a team that the Rams should be able to take advantage of.
68:28Drake London or Devontae Adams? Adams for me. I have London.
68:31Drake London or Cam Scadaboo? Scadaboo. London and PPR.
68:34Dave, you have Dart sixth. Jamie hasn't 12th. I know.
68:37He played great last week. Ran the ball quite a bit.
68:41I am not buying this Rams defense as being the dominant shutdown unit that we thought it was.
68:47Especially if Miles Garrett isn't playing. We don't know how good Aaron Donald is going to be.
68:52The secondary let up some numbers last week. I'm going to ride the lightning with Jackson Dart and expect him to have another good game.
69:00And I think Malik Nabors could have another good game.
69:03Maybe last week was him realizing that he can handle the physicality of football again.
69:08And maybe he'll kind of set himself free a little bit more.
69:11Had a bunch of targets. Didn't get great numbers with it.
69:15I think there's room for him to clearly be a lot better.
69:18I think the Giants win this game. No, no.
69:21I think the Giants win this game. Obviously, if the secondary is really banged up for New York, that's going to be a problem.
69:29But at bare minimum, they'll keep it close. Like it's like a seven point spread.
69:34There's no way it should be that high. I just worry from a fantasy standpoint that we're going to go, damn, I
69:40wish we had sold high on some of these Giants after they played the Cowboys in week one.
69:46Think about what they did to the Cowboys in week two last year.
69:50Russell Wilson threw for 450 yards. It was your opportunity to sell high.
69:54And, you know, like likely. Wish I sold high on Neighbors.
69:58What's that? Yeah. Wish I sold high on Neighbors last year.
70:01Neighbors, by the way, for whatever reason, he lost his footing twice on routes last week.
70:06And they probably both would have been catches. In the Giants stadium, there was an issue?
70:11No way. I know. Isaiah likely is tight end two for these guys.
70:15They like him better than Colson Loveland this week.
70:18Stafford and Dart. Yeah. I mean, for Dave, Dart's number six.
70:21But for Jamie, Dart's 12 and Stafford's 14. Stafford's 12 for Dave.
70:25We're starting Kyron. Corum, unfortunately. Oh, Stafford, you said yes.
70:28Yeah. Unfortunately for Corum, like he's really good. He might score, but you know the deal with him.
70:34And I'll see if we have any questions for this game.
70:37Rams, DST. Drop or wait? Wait. Who's out there on the waiver wire?
70:42If you can start the Bucs or the Niners or the Chiefs, I would make that switch.
70:47Start Padford or Trevor Lawrence? Lawrence. Trevor. I'm going to read typos.
70:51Likely or Tyler Warren? That wasn't a typo. Likely.
70:53What's Padford? That's what they call him? Pad's a stats.
70:57Oh, really? Yeah. Likely. Can I start Neighbors, Scadaboo, and Likely?
71:00You can. I don't mind it. Be nervous. I would too.
71:03I would try to avoid it if you can, but I'd say Scadaboo if you have to skip one.
71:09Adams or Godwin? Adams. Yes, Devontae. All right. Don't ask any more Likely questions because Likely or Kittle, Likely or Kraft, whatever,
71:16they have him as their number two tight end this week.
71:20Washington's at Dallas. Jaden Daniels or Jackson Dart? Dart.
71:23Daniels. Come on, man. Jaden Daniels against the Cowboys.
71:25Did you see what Jackson Dart just did to the Cowboys?
71:29I like Daniels. If I can't start my commanders this week, when can I start my commanders?
71:34All right. Why do you have so many commanders on your fantasy team?
71:38I mean, I think they had some, I think they were really good values, right?
71:43Like this was a team that none of them were going early.
71:47None of them were going early. You know, McLaurin's stock dropped considerably once Diggs was signed and you see why.
71:53Antonio Williams is going to be a problem, I think, for both of them at some point.
71:58Maybe it already happened for McLaurin. And you got to list a little bit of clarity.
72:03You hope the fumble didn't hurt Jakari Krosky-Meritt that, you know, he lost playing time at the end of the game, but Rashad White wasn't exactly stellar.
72:12So I think that's a plus for Bill. I think you're looking at them really, aside from Daniels being the must-start guy, as everybody else has high-end flexes.
72:21So. Someone had a great comment. They put the spread at minus four and a half so Jaden Daniels wouldn't try to sue the NFL.
72:28That is good stuff. All right. Start your Cowboys, except for Jake Ferguson.
72:32Dak Prescott is, what is he for you guys?
72:35Number. I've got him at seven. Okay. I mean, I think there's an opportunity.
72:40Quarterback is just so deep. But this game could be awesome for fantasy.
72:44It just could be awesome. McClaren is the one you got to be a little concerned about just because, like you said,
72:51this should be a game where he goes off.
72:53This should be an opportunity for some shots down the field.
72:57It just, he didn't look great in week one.
73:00There's been some practice video that's come out where he's kind of loafing and Stephon Diggs is going 100 miles an hour.
73:07You know, it's. Now you have Antonio Williams in the mix.
73:10We'll see what they decide to do at tight end.
73:13You know, Bates is probably the preferred option from their perspective.
73:17Right. But that's as a blocker. Like he does.
73:19Well, he'll be on the field. He'll be on the field.
73:23Yeah. And so. Oh, sorry. It's just like, I don't think there's any must start player for the commanders unless you're talking
73:30three receiver leagues where Diggs and McClaren come to play.
73:33I thought McClaren looked the worst of the three last week.
73:36I'm not ready to say that, you know, a big blanket comment like he's washed or it's over or anything like that.
73:43He had to change his cleats in the middle of the game too.
73:47So maybe that's part of it. But I he's he's 30th for me at wide receiver and I don't even feel great
73:54about that digs two spots behind him. And I don't know, man.
73:58Like if there's no Chico Conco, we saw it last week in the fourth quarter.
74:03Okonkwo left. I think he left like right at the end of the third quarter.
74:07He got hurt. Fourth quarter, Antonio Williams came alive and his playing time went up.
74:12Obviously, the targets went up. If that continues, and I think it's easy to see that continuing, especially if there's no Okonkwo,
74:19then maybe that's where the commanders attack again is the middle of the field.
74:23And that's where digs did a lot of his damage.
74:27That's where Williams did some of his damage. McClaren did not do a lot of damage over the middle of the field.
74:33He was running down the sideline along the perimeter a lot more than those other two.
74:38And if Dallas is going to continue to play this zone heavy defense like they played last week, then for sure there
74:45could be opportunities for digs and Williams and it hurts McClaren.
74:49Do you like Evans and Debo better than McClaren and digs?
74:52Which teammates are set up? Evans is way ahead of all these guys.
74:56Evans and Debo ahead of the commanders. Yeah, I've got Debo a little too low.
75:01All right. Let's read some questions from the chat.
75:04Could help us here. Bill or Dontavian Wicks? Bill.
75:07I'll say Bill. Bill, Rico Dowdle, or Kamara? Bill.
75:09Bill. All right. McClaren or Evans? We just answered that.
75:13It's Evans. Bill or Josh Downs, PPR? Downs. Not Marshawn Lloyd.
75:16Oh, sorry. I didn't see that. Yeah. Marshawn Lloyd, Bill, or Downs?
75:20Bill. Okay. And Jaden Daniels or Trevor Lawrence? Lawrence.
75:23I'd go Lawrence. I like both. I'd go Daniels.
75:25Debo or McLaurin? Debo. I have McLaurin higher. All right.
75:29That's it for that game. Sit the DSTs. And let's go to...
75:32Jake Ferguson is still 78% rostered. Yep. People know his name.
75:36Try to... Like Ferguson or Kraft is a question here.
75:39We're definitely going Kraft. We're going almost every tight end over him.
75:43Yeah, we're dropping for Hunter Henry easily. Yeah. Mayer's still out there in more than 50% of leagues.
75:48Yeah. Start him over Jake Ferguson. Miami at San Francisco.
75:51Stat of the game because I can't think of any other angle for this game.
75:56You know, Caleb Douglas was really good, but he was also really downfield.
76:00So I just looked at how the 49ers did against passes of 10 or more air yards.
76:06Matthew Stafford was 3 of 11 for 74 yards.
76:08But a lot of that was on Stafford. There were opportunities for the Rams to make plays there.
76:14I have no idea what that's going to mean for Caleb Douglas.
76:18Would you start Caleb Douglas or Terry McLaurin? I would start McLaurin.
76:22I have McLaurin higher, but I do get the temptation over Douglas.
76:25He looked good. He looked good. He was getting open.
76:28He was also against the Raiders. Keep that in mind.
76:32Douglas or Debo? Debo. Debo. Douglas or, you know, the Hutchinsons and Trey Harris's of the world?
76:37Douglas, but Harris would be interesting. Douglas. Are you guys going to start George Kittle?
76:42I'd prefer not to, but it depends on who else you have.
76:45He's going to be more involved and probably better this week than he was last week.
76:50So, you know, extra time to prepare. Dolphins, I know they statistically did well against Mayer, but if you tell me George
76:57Kittle is getting seven targets, I'll take my chances with that.
77:01It's just hard to bank on it. I think Todd is an injury.
77:05Maybe it helps his case a little bit more.
77:08And, all right, this game, you know, look, you're starting HN.
77:11Purdy is a must start. He's third for Jamie, seventh for Dave, third for Heath, fifth for Jacob.
77:17So, Brock Purdy, a must start. Evans, you guys are high on this week.
77:21I am a little nervous that San Francisco is going to be frustrating, that the targets are going to be so evenly
77:28distributed between four guys that there are going to be some weeks that are just annoying.
77:33But, absolutely, I'm starting Mike Evans. Well, I think you hope the Marcus Robinson numbers go to Kittle this week.
77:39He only had three targets, so someone's going to get...
77:42And Kittle played... Kittle ran less than half the routes.
77:46He's going to be more involved, obviously. Dave, you want to hear my fantasy song?
77:50I don't know if that's obviously. Oh, well, okay.
77:53I think he'll play more. He'll play more. Okay.
77:56You don't think so? I think he could. I hope so.
77:59I also think that there's definitely a real-world possibility where the 49ers starters are sitting in the fourth quarter.
78:05Yeah, but that's because they scored 50 points. That's true.
78:08I mean, look, I saw your guys' rankings of Kittle, which was like 15th-ish, and I said, you know what, I need to see if there's...
78:17Like, if there's a Michael Mayer, I need to go get him.
78:20Yeah. Okay, here's my... I'm working really hard on a Kalon Black song.
78:24It's going to be something like, I see McCaffrey and I want to Kalon Black.
78:29Just something like that. Like, painted black, Kalon Black.
78:32It just makes sense. All right, let's see if we have any questions for this game here.
78:37Purdy or Lawrence? Brock. Purdy. Brock. Yeah! Brock! Kittle or Goddard?
78:41Purdy. Got it. Got it over Kittle. Kalon Black or Alec Pierce?
78:44Assuming black is healthy, I'd take black. I mean, black to me is kind of like a Blake Coro.
78:50I mean, you might get 10... He's exactly Blake Coro.
78:5410 carries for 48 yards and get 4.8 fantasy points.
78:57Yeah, but as Dave just alluded to, if the starters are sitting in the fourth quarter, he's not.
79:02That's a little bit of a... I can't really bank on that.
79:06Well, I mean, he had 14 carries in a competitive game against the Rams.
79:10And how many fantasy points did he have? Seven.
79:13Yeah. Eight. He did have one catch for five yards.
79:16Did Adam have sugary cereal this morning? No, but my daughter did.
79:20If you have a kid who has low iron, give them life cereal.
79:24It has like all of your daily iron. JJ Stokes or Mark Clayton?
79:28Great question here. Mark Clayton. I think just I want to end with a little Debo Samuel.
79:34Debo Samuel or Jadarian Price? Samuel. I think I have Price higher.
79:37Debo Samuel or Drake London? London. Debo Samuel or Devante Adams?
79:41Devante. Got a good one there. Debo or Matthew Golden?
79:44I'd go Golden. I'd go Golden also, but that's close.
79:47All right. Thanks for watching and listening, everybody. We will talk to you on the mailbag.
79:52The Fantasy Cops are coming back. There is no game of the week.
79:56Oh, crap. The idiot host forgot the song. Wow.
79:59He's only been hosting for 15 years. No game of the week.
80:03Yeah! Wow, you suck at him. I've been hosting for 19 years.
80:07Don't sell me short. That was great. Talk to you later, everybody.
80:10Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun.
80:13Don't podcasts. College football season is Modelo season. There's nothing quite like a college football Saturday.
80:18The fight songs, the rivalries, the traditions passed down from one generation of fans to the next.
80:24And of course, they're settling in for a full day of football with Chris Modelo.
80:28Because Saturdays are for the gridiron and Cervasus. College football is built on tradition.
80:33And no one knows tradition like Modelo. From the fan quakes that shake the stadium to the rivalry trophies that mean everything
80:39year after year, these traditions are what make Saturday special.
80:43So if you're listening to this, consider it your sign.
80:46Grab a Chris Modelo, settle in, and enjoy a full day of college football.
80:50Because it's just not game day, it's tradition. And those who keep college football traditions alive deserve a Modelo.
80:56Modelo is the official beer sponsor of the college football playoff.
81:00Drink responsibly. Modelo Especial Beer. Imported by Crown Imports, Chicago, Illinois.
