A.J. Brown

PositiveRole12:00

The source loves AJ Brown as part of a Chicago stack strategy, grouping him with other early-round Chicago targets (Colston Loveland, Roman Dunay, Luther Burden, Damont Smith) that collectively influence the decision to take the Chicago quarterback later in the draft.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

PositiveValue7:05

Kamara enters the top-5 RB list at ADP 13-14, a range typically reserved for handcuffs. The rationale: the Saints restructured his contract and are paying him significant money, signaling a legitimate role when healthy. That role will be receiving-focused (5-7 carries plus receptions rather than 17 carries), giving him baseline production that exceeds typical handcuff value. If an injury occurs to the lead back, the team still trusts Kamara to lead the offense, providing upside. However, he suffered an MCL sprain and will miss approximately two months, likely extending into the season. His ADP has shifted from round 13-14 to round 17 as a result. The source still views him as a solid pick in round 17 for underdog leagues, as he can absorb the early-season hit and return to a receiving-game role with potential red-zone involvement.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeValue0:44

Round-one talent with elite receiving game; top-five RB in the source's most-drafted list; source has zero concerns about committee usage despite coaching staff messaging; would be a top-seven fantasy pick if on a different team (e.g., Dallas Cowboys); Jets offense should improve this season; receiving work provides floor and ceiling. The source argues that Hall's ADP reflects Jets team context more than talent level; if drafted on a different NFL team, would command a top-seven pick; current ADP provides discount; can be drafted as second or third RB depending on early-round WR/TE selections (e.g., Jamar Chase, Derrick Henry, Brock Bowers path). Groin injury should not be a concern for week one; source has no worries about his health status heading into the season.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeInjury15:45

Suffered a shoulder injury right before recording, reducing his fantasy outlook from a 50/50 shot at strong production to a much lower-end outcome. While the bull case remains (starting wide receiver with schemed usage and occasional red zone involvement), the injury significantly diminishes his draft value. The source notes he will still get some games with decent production, but no longer projects him as a reliable early-round pick.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveRole4:00

Irving owns the goal-line role for the Eagles, giving him a clear role advantage in the backfield.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveValue11:18

Caleb Williams ranks in the source's top tier of quarterbacks (positions 2-6) and is viewed as discounted in pricing. The source is more likely to draft him in underdog leagues when stacking Chicago receivers like Colston Loveland, Roman Dunay, Luther Burden, AJ Brown, and Damont Smith.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeValue25:43

Going in round 6 with similar talent level to Casey Conception (round 10), but faces significant headwinds: the Titans have the worst offensive line in the NFL, and Cam Ward was the worst quarterback in the NFL last season with no meaningful improvement in the offseason or preseason. The source questions why Tate is drafted round 6 without concern while Conception in round 10 is worried about, given both face quarterback play concerns and Tate's slightly better prospect ceiling is marginal.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveProjection9:06

Dominant last year once he became a full-time starter; expected to be viewed as the second-best all-around tight end behind Bowers by season's end. Has the opportunity to separate significantly in points per game from the tight end 7–8 tier by 5–6 points per game, and capable of 10 for 150 and 3 performances in the playoffs. The source is willing to take him anytime in round 4, valuing the chance he becomes the number one tight end in the Ben Johnson system and offers huge positional advantage. The source frequently drafts Loveland as part of Chicago stack strategy, indicating strong conviction in his role within the offense alongside other team receivers.

Insight page
PositiveValue28:02

Loveland offers a huge positional advantage as the likely number one tight end in the Ben Johnson system, worth drafting in round four. The appeal is not just separation from tight end 7-8 by five to six points per game, but the capability to produce 10 for 150 and three in any given week—a ceiling the source wants in playoffs across all formats.

Insight page

David Njoku

NegativeRole29:14

Source has lost all confidence in Njoku's fantasy value despite acknowledging he will have a fine role, because the Ravens offense is shifting toward heavy personnel and play-action schemes that favor Charlie Kolar. No longer in the top five tight end targets.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveValue11:18

Drake May ranks in the source's top tier of quarterbacks (positions 2-6) and is viewed as discounted relative to his tier. The source includes him in the range of QBs to target in underdog leagues, though would have less preference for the Williams/May/Hertz range in reddraft formats.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

PositiveValue11:18

Fernando Mendoza ranks fifth in the source's QB tier but is not drafted in reddraft leagues; the source would only take him in the last round as a final QB option. This reflects a significant discount in reddraft value compared to underdog formats.

Insight page

Jayden Higgins

NegativeRole19:48

Context for Tank Dell's role opportunity. Higgins is the player Dell would compete with for snaps in the two spot or rotate into the three spot, establishing the competitive landscape for Dell's playing time.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveValue8:42

ADP has fallen significantly from round 7 to round 10 following injury news. The source views him as a worthwhile pick in round 10 when stacking Chicago, citing second-year progression potential and contingent upside if D'Andre Swift is injured. The source expects him to potentially take a step forward in his second season and become a touchdown scorer.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveValue5:00

The source loves Jonathan Taylor this season but has removed him from the top-5 RB list due to ADP positioning and draft strategy, not player quality. Taylor is only accessible in mid-first-round picks depending on draft slot; the source prefers mixing round-one selections and will sometimes take Christian McCaffrey or Amon-Ra St. Brown instead, but Taylor remains a strong option.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeInjury19:04

Hamstring injury with a two-plus-month recovery timeline has caused the source to completely stop drafting him in reddraft leagues. His ADP has fallen but not enough relative to the injury risk. The source is particularly concerned given Tyson's injury history; another hamstring setback is a red flag. He will be ramped up slowly and could extend to three months. The source has moved him outside the top 15 at his position and is not investing in him this season.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveValue11:18

Josh Allen ranks in the source's top tier of quarterbacks (positions 2-6). When he falls to round 4, the source views it as a great pick because there is a lull in running back quality after the Hall/Love/Kirn/Javvante Williams/Travis Etienne range, making round 4 an ideal spot to pivot to a premium QB. The source would still take Josh Allen in round four for reddraft despite loving the Eagles' early-round players (Colston Loveland, Roman Dunay, Luther Burden, AJ Brown, DeAndre Smith), indicating Allen remains a strong value anchor at the position even when building around a specific team's offense.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveValue12:30

Justin Herbert is the source's number-one quarterback pick for reddraft leagues, available in round seven or eight. He combines elite arm strength, high-end mobility (led the league in scramble yards last season), and an improved Chargers offense with better playmakers and offensive line. The source views him as underrated and capable of competing with Josh Allen this season, making him the one quarterback worth taking at cost in that draft window. The source wants to be in on the Chargers stack.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveProjection0:44

Top-five RB in the source's most-drafted list; plays in Mike McDaniel's highly efficient rushing offense with explosive scheme; one of the most explosive RBs in the NFL; can be consistently drafted in the 125–135 ADP range as a fourth or fifth RB; offers significant week 16 playoff upside when Chargers face Miami, with the source expecting Chargers to score 50 real-life points and positioning Mitchell as a potential championship-winning player. However, the source notes he has suffered a setback to an injury and is not currently practicing; injury status matters less if he is a fourth or fifth RB rather than a second or first RB, but the source recommends monitoring practice participation before finalizing draft decision.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveRole5:50

Clear passing-down specialist drafted outside the top 100 picks, closer to pick 110; will be used in goal-line situations and inside the 10-yard line, especially on passing plays; gets two-minute and four-minute drill usage; will be deployed when trailing; valuable in full PPR leagues where high-scoring games create opportunities for 4–6 receptions. Being drafted at his floor with limited ceiling unless injury to Bucky Irving occurs; the source views him as a great pick in later rounds despite not being a super high-ceiling RB; would become close to a feature back if Bucky Irving suffers an injury.

Insight page

Kenyan Drake

PositiveValue30:30

Source has warmed up to Drake significantly on underdog platforms. Drake will start the season slow, making him unattractive for reddraft leagues where he will likely end up on free agency. However, for underdog leagues, if available at pick 185 as a second or third tight end, the slow start is acceptable because in playoff weeks Drake will have significant value and vastly outperform his 185 ADP.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeValue28:27

Pitts has been undervalued all summer despite strong historical production; age is not a concern for elite tight ends (Travis Kelce performs at 37), and his Achilles injury was the best-case recovery scenario. Since 2018, Pitts has been a tight end 3, 2, 3, 4, 2, 6, 1, and 2 in adjusted points per game with eight straight seasons in the top six and first/second place finishes in the last two years. Available in round 10 all summer.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveRole9:06

The source frequently drafts Luther Burden as part of Chicago stack strategy, indicating strong conviction in his role within the offense alongside other team receivers like Colston Loveland and Roman Dunay. The source loves Luther Burden as part of an Eagles-focused draft strategy, citing him alongside other early-round Eagles targets (Colston Loveland, Roman Dunay, AJ Brown, DeAndre Smith) that collectively justify taking the Eagles quarterback later in the draft.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveValue20:04

Amazing second-round pick this season; just outside the top five due to draft availability constraints rather than talent concerns. Absolutely nothing wrong with Collins as a pick—the move outside the top five is purely a function of draft capital constraints (players with top-12 picks won't be able to reach him as often). Even after Jaden Higgins' season-ending injury, Collins offers exceptional value in late second rounds; the source loves him at that price point and notes he's difficult to acquire at top-five rates since he requires roughly 25% draft availability to justify that ranking.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeRole16:41

Comparison context for Trey Harris's opportunity. The source does not view Johnson as a strong player but notes that Harris doesn't need to surpass him in talent; they can occupy different roles within the Chargers' offensive scheme, with Harris potentially earning snaps through his run-blocking ability in heavy personnel packages.

Insight page

Tank Dell

NegativeInjury19:30

Injury-related concern limiting his role outlook. As of August 25th, he is still not fully cleared for practice; he can practice sometimes but not every day. The source was hopeful he would ramp up and compete with Jaden Higgins for snaps in the two spot or rotate into the three spot, but he is unlikely to have a strong role to start the season and may not even be available to start the year. The source will only take him in round 18 or later as part of a stack.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveSleeper30:30

Ferguson is a must-draft player in late rounds for reddraft leagues. He is the third target on the Las Vegas offense and one injury away from a massive red-zone role; if Adams were injured, the source would project Ferguson for double-digit touchdowns. Available for absolutely free at the end of reddraft leagues, he can be drafted as a team's only tight end if loading up on running backs and receivers. The source is loading up on him right now.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper30:30

Must-draft player in late rounds for reddraft leagues. Third target on the Las Vegas offense and one injury away from a massive red-zone role; if Adams were injured, the source would project Ferguson for double-digit touchdowns. Available for absolutely free at the end of reddraft leagues, he can be drafted as a team's only tight end if loading up on running backs and receivers. Source is loading up on him right now. Specifically recommends round 14 as the target round for late-round tight end strategy.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

PositiveRole15:12

The source's most-drafted wide receiver by far has been significantly downgraded due to role concerns; he is now positioned as more of a backup to Brian Thomas Jr. rather than a three-way contributor. The source has dropped him substantially in rankings and is taking him much less frequently, moving him from a top-five target to approximately the fourth most-drafted wide receiver by end of summer, closer to ADP. The bull case for Hunter now requires a Brian Thomas injury to materialize.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveValue15:12

Inside the source's top-five wide receivers but massively undervalued; ADP in reddraft leagues is outside the top 200 players (15th round on Underdog), which the source views as nonsensical. Expected to play 90% of snaps across 13, 12, and 11 personnel packages. The source projects Harris will play in heavy run-blocking sets where he doesn't accumulate fantasy points, but when the Chargers go play-action from those formations, he will have very high-end efficiency. Harris doesn't need to pass Quentin Johnston; he only needs to be the best run-blocking wide receiver to secure snaps in highly efficient plays. The source considers him an awesome late-round pick and would highlight him in reddraft leagues, even as a final-round bench selection.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveValue15:09

The source loves Trevor Lawrence as a quarterback option just outside the top five; positioned as the second-tier quarterback after Justin Herbert, Lawrence offers a high-end ceiling but is available later than the elite tier, making him a solid value target in the mid-round quarterback range.

0:00What's going on guys? It's Nick here back with another video. I made this video back in July when I drafted my
0:0450th team. I'm now at 136 paid drafts and so uh a little bit behind my quest for 250 by week one. But such is life
0:13when you have a six-month-old. Uh today I wanted to do uh basically a refresh of that video. Go over who remains in my
0:20top five most drafted at each position.
0:23See who is no longer in the top five and who has taken their spot. I'll also say at each position um if I was allowed to
0:31just lock in one player at each each spot at cost. So given their general ADP, who I would do it if this was like
0:39my most important league, I could lock one player in who it would be. So we'll start off with running back that is
0:44everyone's most favorite position. Um running backs that are still inside my top five most roster that were about a month and a half ago are Katon Mitchell,
0:53Bree Hall, and Kenny Gainwell. um feel pretty much the exact same about all three as I did a month and a half ago.
1:01Uh Keaton Mitchell, you've got Mike McDaniel running this very highly efficient rushing offense. I'm expecting the offense to be very good this season.
1:10I'm expecting the running backs to rotate as well. I would not expect Amaran Hampton to be the clear, you know, maybe he's the clear lead back,
1:16but like featured back, right? If they're giving, you know, 30 touches to the running back room, he's not going to have 25 to 27. They're going to even it
1:24out a lot more than people are expecting. We know Katon is one of the most explosive running backs in the NFL.
1:28And so if you have an explosive scheme, an explosive player, you've got a ton of upside. And then it's week 16. I really
1:34just point to that a lot. But the fantasy playoffs matter, right? Of course the regular season matters. You got to get there. But if we can draft
1:41someone in round 13 that has a crazy high ceiling in week 16, they will be at Miami. I expect the Chargers to score 50
1:49real life points at Miami in week 16. I don't know. I think there's just a lot of value to having that and saying that
1:55if you can make it to the semi-finals, I think he's going to be a player that wins it for you and gets you to the
2:01championship and on a site like underdog gets you to a baseball mania final, which is very difficult to do. Um, you
2:07can pretty consistently get Katon in that like 125 to 135 range as your fourth or fifth running back. The one thing I'll say here is watch the injury
2:14news. He has suffered kind of a setback to an injury. He's not out there practicing right now. If he goes out
2:20there and practices, I'll feel a lot better about this. Uh, but it also matters a lot less if this is like your
2:26second running back. You don't want them dealing with something right now. Your first running back as well as your fourth, as your fifth, as sometimes your
2:33sixth running back. It does matter a lot less. Uh, Bree Hall after him. Um, really hate betting on the Jets, but he
2:40is a round one talent. He is elite in the receiving game. The Jets should should be better on offense this season.
2:48Uh, I have zero concerns about a committee. People send me quotes all the time from the coaching staff. We have seen this coaching staff at other points
2:56point to a committee and then not even come close to actually running a committee. So, they lie to us all the
3:02time. Um, I honestly think the fact that he is on the Jets is more than reflected by his ADP. If you had Bree Hall on the
3:10um, I don't know, pick a team, Dallas, I don't know, the Dallas Cowboys, uh, he'd be a top seven rate pick in fantasy. So,
3:18you're getting that discount having him.
3:21What could be your third running back or could be your second running back if you draft a Brock Bowers, an elite wide
3:27receiver, something like that. You go like Jamar Chase, Derk Henry, Bree Hall.
3:31You can have drafts like that where the opportunity cost is a little bit lower into round three. And he's again an
3:38exceptional talent with great work in the receiving game. And I'm not worried about a committee. I'm also not worried about the groin injury. He should be go
3:45good to go in week one. um him and honestly the latest reporting on Jeremiah Love as well. He's not in this
3:50video, but neither one of them I'm really concerned about week one for their injuries. Kenny Gainwell after that. Um again, same take as before.
3:58He's not going to be some like top five running back, but what you're getting in the later rounds, you know, outside the
4:05top 100 picks here, closer to like pick 110, is a clear passing down running back. Someone that, you know, they don't
4:12love Bucky at the goal line. So there will be times where Gainwell has used the goal line or at least is used inside
4:17the 10 yard line, especially if they want to throw the ball. They'll throw Gainwell onto the field and use him in
4:21that area, but he's going to get the two and fourminute drills. They're going to use him when trailing. Uh so if we, you
4:26know, can identify some spots, especially in a full PPR league where, you know, it's going to be a high-scoring game. Maybe the Bucks are
4:33five to seven point underdogs. We can tell ourselves a story that he racks up four or five, six receptions in a game.
4:40And that's valuable to have on your bench. is valuable to have in the later rounds. Um definitely feels like he's being drafted at his floor. Again, not a
4:48super high ceiling running back unless you had an injury to Bucky Irving, uh in which case he would be close to a
4:53feature back. Um but yeah, I just think kind of drafted near his floor. He's a great pick in the drafts. No longer in
5:00my top five for running backs are Quinc Quinch Judkins and Jonathan Taylor. Um nothing to do with the player for Jonathan Taylor. It's simply that I
5:10moved McAffrey up over him. Sometimes I like to take Ahman Ros. He's obviously a great pick as well. It's very difficult
5:16for someone in round one to be in your top five all summer, right? Not only do you not want to do that, you don't want
5:22to draft a round one player like 30% of the time. You want to mix and match it.
5:27Um, but ADPs are going to kind of shift out as the summer goes along. I at times will get a lot of mid picks, but then
5:33like you're not going to get Jonathan Taylor if you have a top four pick or a bottom four pick. I guess you know the
5:39polls of the draft you're only going to get him in a mid first round pick. So uh he's falling out of the top five. It
5:44doesn't mean I don't like him. I love Jonathan Taylor this season. Uh it's just that I'll take McAffrey sometimes and Omar St. Brown sometimes as well. Uh
5:51Judkins was more deliberate. The more you think about the situation like basically a lot of people compare to Bree Hall and like well how do you like
5:58Bree Hall going what would probably be like two rounds earlier than Judkins? Um well number one the offensive line is better. Like the offensive line is
6:05horrible in Cleveland. It's a lot better in New York. Uh, number two, the receptions. It's okay to have a bad offensive line, maybe be on a worse
6:12offense if you can rack up, you know, a season where Bree Hall can have 60 or 70 receptions in a year. Judkins can't do
6:19that. So, he's on a bad offense with a bad offensive line, bad quarterback.
6:23They're locking in uh Watson. I feel like that's just going to be like a punching bag to start the year and go to
6:28Shadore. Um, like you lock in all these bad things and you don't get the out of receiving back. That's going to be Dylan
6:35Samson. he's not gonna catch passes.
6:37Talking about Judkins there. Uh, so the more I thought about it, I was like, man, it feels like um I don't remember
6:42who coined this term, but like you know that like um big miss, small hit kind of thing where it's like if it works out
6:48for Judkins, he could be featured on the ground. But since it's not coming with any receptions and likely this team's not going to score that many touchdowns,
6:56so maybe not going to have touchdowns as well, even if he kind of hits as an early down back, what is the actual
7:01ceiling here? Can he even be a top seven running back? If he misses, he's on the Browns and they stink and there's no
7:08receptions and you're like struggling to know if you should start him. And so it feels a little bit more risky than I
7:12should have been taking. So I backed off him by ADP. Um, new to the top five. So we have two people leaving, we have two
7:18people joining. Disappointing. So for all the other positions, I'm very happy with who's entered into the top five.
7:25I'm not happy at running back who's entered the top five here. So, uh, first we have Alvin Kamara and then we also
7:31have Kyle Manungai. I hope half of you or all of you threw up when I said that, uh, because it was pretty disgusting for
7:38me to look at. Here's the rationale. So, number one, uh, I drafted a lot of them before their injuries and so I'm
7:46drafting each of them a little bit less right now, but of course I had a lot of them. For Kamar, basically the case was
7:52he was going around 13 or 14. Um, that's basically a range of pure handcuffs.
7:56Once you hit really after Jonah Coleman, Jonah Coleman goes around pick, let's just call it 140 in general in drafts.
8:03Um, once you kind of exit that range, it's all handcuffs. So, none of these guys are really going to do anything
8:08unless there is an injury, but they have a lot of upside if there's an injury.
8:12For Kamara, I was like, well, if he's going with all these handcuffs, and the all the reporting was around the team
8:17was he's going to have a legitimate role. They restructure his contract.
8:20They're still paying him a lot of money.
8:22So, they're giving him a decent contract this year. He's going to have a role when healthy. That role will be in the
8:27receiving game, right? He's not going to have 17 carries. He's going to have like seven carries or five carries, but receptions added on. And so, I was like,
8:35well, if he's giving me kind of that baseline production, if there was an injury, they do still trust him to kind
8:41of lead this offense. And so, there's some upside there. Uh, pretty awful runout, though. Uh, has I believe it's the MCL sprain, but going to miss like
8:48two months. That means he's going to miss into the season. I don't know if he's going to open on on IR, but it's
8:52not looking amazing for him. Um, he basically goes in round 17 now, so all my round 13 14 shares are not looking as
9:00good. Um, it's the point in a reddraft league where I probably just wouldn't draft Alvin Kamara at all. Uh, but for
9:06underdog in round 17, you know, you can kind of take that hit early in the season if he then goes back and is
9:11mixing in the receiving game, will randomly get involved in the red zone as well. U, I still think he's a solid pick
9:16in 17. Um, but I need to back off a little bit. And then Manungai basically this was also a bad run out from his
9:22injury as well. Um although the Manunga injury does not seem too bad. Uh basically I was off him to start the
9:28summer cuz he's going in round seven and I'm like man round seven you're just in a range of so many other good players.
9:34Wasn't worth it. The quarterbacks are still there. Um back end of like the really good receiving prospects, you know, competing with some decent running
9:42backs as well. But his ADP had fallen a lot, you know, starting to go into round 10. And at that point, I was like,
9:47"Okay, like I stack Chicago a lot, right? You're going to see how much I love um I mean, you're going to you're
9:51going to see um Kale Williams, but you're going to see how much I love Coulson Loveland." And so, I draft both
9:55those two a lot. You guys know I like Luther Burden. I'll still take Roman Dunay. And so, when I have a Chicago
10:00stack and I'm sitting there in round 10 and still on the board, I'm like, well, why not? Why not add him on? Still has
10:05that very obvious contingent upside if Swift gets injured, but we'll still add on. You know, maybe he takes a step forward in his second season. Maybe he
10:14can be a touchdown scorer. like there's still an out here to where he was good, but with the injury does need to fall a
10:20little bit. Um, so yeah, pretty tough that both of the guys that I started drafting more suffer like month plus long injuries. Uh, but I would expect
10:28both of them back within the first month of the season. Uh, and you're not drafting them where you like need to be
10:33playing them right away. Among these five, most drafted, if I was allowed to just lock in at the start of the draft
10:40any one of these running backs at cost, I think it would be Ke Mitchell. Again, assuming positive news, if we get like a
10:47couple days before the season, a week before the season, and things are still not looking great, obviously you back off it a little bit, but at round 13, I
10:55just don't think it matters that much.
10:57You're not going to start him to start the year. So, even if he was limited, slow start, it does not matter for your
11:04team. You're hoping for that playoff game. You're hoping for inseason production. You're not going to start your 13th round pick in week one. I
11:12think he's a great pick this season. At quarterback, it's actually very much the same. So, I was surprised to see that a
11:18little bit. My one through five is now my two through six in the same order.
11:22Josh Allen, Kale Williams, uh Jaylen Herz, and or Drake May. So, Josh Allen, Caleb Williams, Drake May, Jaylen Herz, and Fernando Mendoza. That one through
11:32five has shifted down to two through six with one name jumping up to the number one spot, which I'm sure you can guess.
11:39for that two through six. It really just is general ranges where I want to attack quarterback. And a lot of that this
11:45season is just draft strategy related for Josh Allen. When he makes it into round four, I think it's just a great
11:51pick. Um you're past that range of running backs we feel good about.
11:55There's kind of a lull into the fourth round. Uh once you're past like the Hall, Love, Kirn, Javvante Williams, Travis ETN range. Once you're past that,
12:04there is kind of a gap into that next range. And so I like going with Josh Allen. and then you're kind of into the
12:09the back half of the wide receivers feel good about a lot of the wide receivers in that range are very similar to the
12:13round five and six receivers so it makes sense to take Josh out then for Caleb May Herz I think they're also discounted
12:20this is also a little bit underdog specific in that well I love the players on that team early on right I love
12:27Coulson Lovelin uh Roman Dunay uh Luther Burden I love AJ Brown I love Damont Smith and so when I draft them I'm more
12:35likely to take the quarterback if this was for reddraft, I'd still take Josh Allen in round four. Uh, but I would
12:41have a little bit less of this Williams, May, and Jaylen Herz range. And then Brandon Mendoza, I would not draft in
12:47reddraft league. That's just like I need a last quarterback in the last round.
12:50And I took Brock Bowers. Um, I would have my number one quarterback and that's Justin Herbert. Again, want to be in on the Chargers. I think he makes a
12:58lot of sense. Even if you don't believe the Chargers are going to be some amazing offense this season, he is an
13:05underrated talent. He's a very, very good quarterback. So, even if the team doesn't take some massive step forward, he's a great quarterback with high-end
13:14mobility, right? Um, people compare him to Josh Allen. He's not Josh Allen, but they have similar builds, similarish mobility. Um, I think people just don't
13:23view Justin Herbert as a mobile quarterback, even though he led the league in scramble yards last season.
13:27Like, he's a very mobile quarterback. He can get it done on the ground. He's not Lamar Jackson, but he can get it done on
13:31the ground. So when you combine that with again the elite system, the great arm strength, really good playmakers all around him at all positions, um just
13:40everything is improved. Even with the injury to the center, the offensive line is very improved from last season. And so when he's available to me in that
13:47like seventh, sometimes eighth round range, that's also at a spot where again the five six wide receivers are great, but it starts to drop off into round
13:54seven and eight, the running backs are a lot less certain at that point. And if I started off two running backs in three
13:59rounds, I kind of already maybe have three running backs at that point. Seven H is just a good strategy spot. If I
14:05take two running backs in three rounds, I have the opportunity to take Lovelin in round four. If I don't, I'm loaded at
14:10running back and receiver when I make it to round seven. Why not take Justin Herbert? Because I also think the range
14:16after Herbert for quarterback, I love Trevor Lawrence as well. he just kind of misses the top five. But after Herbert, after Lawrence, these quarterbacks after
14:23them, they go like sometimes one maybe two rounds later, but they have a way lower floor, a way lower chance of like
14:29being a top three quarterback. And at quarterback, you kind of need that high-end outcome. Like you can stream quarterback, you can figure it out, you
14:35know, especially in even like a 10 or 12 team league. If you know, if it's a one quarterback league, there's a lot of
14:41quarterbacks that maybe won't even get drafted in your league that are pretty solid that could be streamed and have you, you know, get baseline production.
14:47So, it's not really worth drafting someone who you think has a really good shot of finishing as a quarterback like eight, nine or 10. You got to be
14:53drafting someone who you think has that top three ceiling. And I think that Justin Herbert can, you know, outproduce this, you know, round five, six range of
15:00quarterback can compete with Josh Allen this season. And that's why I love him at cost. He would be the one quarterback
15:06where if I could take someone at cost, it would be Justin Herbert. At wide receiver, uh, still inside the top five,
15:12only two are Trey Harris and then very unfortunately, Travis Hunter. Um, I said in the Saturday news video that I'm basically just taking the L on Hunter.
15:21He was by far my most drafted player.
15:22So, I'm not drafting as much right now.
15:24I've dropped him a lot in the rankings.
15:25You won't get him much or you'll get him some, but you won't get him as much. Um, I have him much closer to ADP right now.
15:31Um, but because he was my most drafted by a lot, I had a ton of them and now it's trickling down. He's maybe like my
15:37fourth most drafted wide receiver by the end of the summer. He won't be inside the top five. Um, I was very excited
15:43because the talent is very obvious. they just really have more of a need at cornerback and so I'm not taking him as
15:49much. It's also seeming like he's more the backup to Brian Thomas Jr. and not like a three-way backup. Um, but I will
15:55say this, Brian Thomas Jr. like right before recording this did suffer a shoulder injury which could be a concern for him. So, we'll see. I have no
16:02information on that injury. But, uh, the bull case is still there. It's just only like a, you know, a much lower end
16:08outcome. I thought there was like a 50/50 shot. He's a starting wide receiver on this team. He's contributing. probably not the case.
16:15Still going to get schemed usage.
16:16They'll have some games where he plays offense, is using the red zone, has okay production. Uh unfortunately, the starting wide receiver is going to need
16:24a Brian Thomas injury, and you don't want to really be drafting wide receivers as handcuffs. Um so, yeah, not not taking him as much. The Trey Harris
16:32one though, I I don't get this. So, his ADP in reddraft leagues is outside the top 200 players. That makes no sense.
16:39Even underdog, it's like the 15th round.
16:41I don't think Quinton Johnson is that good. But the thing is, he doesn't even need to pass Quinton Johnson to be a
16:47great pick because they can have different roles. Last season, as a rookie, and as a rookie who still needed a lot of developing, it wasn't like he
16:54was amazing as a rookie last season.
16:56They trusted him in 13 personnel. That is one wide receiver, three tight ends.
17:01Why? Because he's a great run blocker.
17:03And you're going to hear me say this a lot. You know, you've heard me say it a lot in the off season. When you have
17:07those players, um, dribbling is another one we'll talk about in a second. When the team trusts you in run blocking, you
17:13just get onto the field more. And while a lot of those snaps might be run blocking, you don't get those points in
17:18fantasy. If you are a wide receiver getting snaps in one wide receiver sets, when they go play action from there, you're going to have very, very high-end
17:27efficiency. And I think that Trey Harris plays in 13 personnel, 12 personnel, 11 personnel. I think he might be on the
17:34field 90% of snaps this season. I think all the reporting in the offseason as he has taken that step forward and so
17:41there's just a ton of opportunity here on an offense I want to invest in in a very young player who was you know very
17:47highly regarded in the prospect streets playing quote unquote behind a player who cannot catch a pass clearly is just like not as good as we thought he was. I
17:57don't know. I just think there's a lot of opportunity and again he does not even need to pass Quinton Johnson. all
18:02he needs to do is be the best run blocking wide receiver on this team. And all of a sudden, he's getting these
18:07snaps in very highly efficient uh plays.
18:10And we know the Chargers are going to run a ton of heavy sets. They want to have all their tight ends on the field.
18:14They want to run the ball effectively.
18:15And when they drop back and when they go play action from those sets, man, the efficiency is going to be there. I think
18:20Trey Harris is a awesome pick late in drafts. Um, in the Friday video this week, I'm going to go over basically all
18:27of the players at all positions that I'd be considering in a reddraft league. So, like a 15 round reddraft league, I'd be
18:35considering for my bench, he is absolutely going to be highlighted in that video. Uh, just because even in reddraft, it's so easy. And if like a
18:44lot of you are like, "Oh, Nick, you know, there's some uh defenses I really want. Uh, can I take defense around
18:49higher?" Honestly, if you want to go defense kicker in the third to last, second to last round, and then take Trey
18:55Harrison your final pick and he's there, like I think that's honestly a perfectly fine strategy this season. He's a great pick. No longer in the top five are
19:04Jordan Tyson, Tankell, and Nico Collins.
19:07Tyson, I completely stopped drafting after the injury. His ADP has fallen. It has not fallen enough. It is a two plus
19:13month timeline. He will be ramped up slowly. You don't know if it could turn to three months. It is very very
19:18concerning that a player with his injury history has another setback with a hamstring. It's not good. I'm not investing in him in reddraft leagues
19:26anymore this season. So, we've gotten him way outside the top five. I think he's outside like the top 15 at this
19:30point for me. Um Tank Dell, that one's also injury related. So, I was hopeful to start the off season that he would
19:38ramp up. He would go out there, he'd, you know, be competing with um you know, Jaden Higgins. he'd be rotating into
19:45that two spot at worst be rotating into three. Even like recording this on August 25th on Tuesday, he's still really not cleared. Like he can practice
19:54sometimes, but like he can't practice every day. No way he has a role to start the season or at least like a strong
20:00role to start the season. There's a chance he's not even out there to start the year. So, uh, got to back off on the
20:04exposures there. I'll really only take him in round 18 when he falls that far and more so part of a stack. And then
20:10Nico, um, absolutely nothing about Nico Collins not being a good pick. He's just outside the top five. Uh, he's an amazing second round pick this season.
20:18Um, mid-sec rounder now that Jaden Hengins has done for the year. It's just tough to have a second round player, a
20:24mid-sec round pick, top five in your exposures. There are just a number of draft picks this year where you're simply not going to get Nico Collins
20:32just because you got the 12 pick or you got the one pick or you got the 11.
20:35Like, you know, the polls, you're really not going to get him as much. I have gotten him even after the injury um on
20:41some like you know late second rounds. I think that's exceptional value if you do get in the late second round. Still love
20:46him. Again, he's just outside the top five because you can't always get a second rounder at that high of a rate.
20:50To be top five, you almost need to be in like one in four teams, like 25%. Uh new to the top five. So if three people
20:58leaving, that means three people joining. Casey Conception, John Stribbling, and Kahan Booty. Um all three are incredibly high confidence picks for me. Um, I'm targeting them
21:08aggressively. Have been basically the last month. Even at elevated ADPs, I want to keep loading up because all these players seeing their ADPs go up.
21:16Conception, um, he has a shot to be the best wide receiver in this draft class.
21:20He's for sure the best wide receiver on the Browns. I am expecting them to feature the passing game around him. Um,
21:28use him on end rounds, screen passes.
21:30He'll run a full route tree. He'll get targets at all three levels of the field. That is exactly what you want in
21:35fantasy from your wide receiver. He would have clear league winning upside if you were not on the Cleveland Browns.
21:42That is the one unfortunate thing here.
21:44Uh but even in Cleveland, yes, the quarterback play is going to be bad. They're not going to score many touchdowns. But when you get the ball
21:50that much, you're not a 10th round pick.
21:52Like just straight up, you should not get someone in round 10 who's going to be a featured weapon getting rush attempts, screen passes, downfield,
22:01midfield, short field, all three areas getting targets. Like every week he's going to have a ton of targets. And again, he might be the best wide
22:09receiver in this class. Um you shouldn't get a player that talented in that role on any team in a double digit round. So
22:15amazing pick whenever he's there in round 10. Um if I don't get him, it is because I took struggling. Like literally, I'm taking one of those two
22:22in round 10 every single time. Uh dribbling, round one talent that the 49ers got in round two, like I said with
22:28Trey Harris, elite run blocker. That's going to get dribbling onto the field.
22:31And what else is going to get him onto the field is the fact that PiO's also done for the season. Uh you got M Mike
22:37Evans working through injuries. KD coming off an Achilles Mcaffrey who knows 50/50 to suffer a major injury there. Like there's injuries always in
22:46San Fran. uh shribbling if he can stay healthy uh is set up to absolutely explode this season. He's basically a more athletic version of Jawan Jennings.
22:54And maybe that doesn't sound appealing, but Jawan Jennings had some absolutely monstrous games in San Fran. And a more athletic version of him is just going to
23:03fit beautifully on this offense. If you can ever get a round one talent playing a full snapshare on a Kyle Shanahan
23:10offense, they're going to have a lot of upside. Um, I do think that Conception is the better wide receiver, but I think
23:17it's basically um, they're basically even in the rankings because 49ers are way better offense, but I do think the role for Conception is much higher
23:27volume in total and he's a better receiver. So, I think it's net neutral.
23:30You take the loss of the Browns, the win on the 49ers, but you, you know, kind of forego other things when taking
23:35Shreblin. Then uh for Booty, it's been just very obvious all summer the Patriots want to trade him away. At some point there was going to be an injury or
23:44something that caused the team to be more desperate. I thought it was going to be the Commanders going after him, but after the Jaden Higgins injury, it
23:51becomes obvious that Houston trades for him. Uh they don't give up a ton and it's not like it's a guarantee that he's
23:56their number two, but he probably will be. Um he's been going around 18 all summer. That's where I've been loading up. ADP is going to go way up. I might
24:03just back off at this point and say I've got, you know, 30% of him at round 18.
24:09Why would I draft him if he goes up to round 12 or 13? And I do think that's the range he's going to go into is round
24:1512 or 13. My guess is that he will be the starting wide receiver to across from Nico Collins. Uh, and that they'll
24:21have null in that like, you know, deep slot role. I don't think Null is going to play in two wide receiver sets and I
24:25do think Nico is going to play over Xavier Hutchinson. So, or obviously Nico is, but I think that Booty is going to
24:30play over Xavier Hutchinson. So, that's how I'm seeing things. Again, around 1213 is what he should be going in at this point. We'll see how quickly the
24:37ADP does rise. Uh, but Booty is just someone that, you know, he was a very high-end prospect and then he has the
24:44ankle injuries. He never really kind of gets um he gets recovered from it, but he talked a lot about the mental health
24:51aspect and like not fully being able to trust the ankle. And then finally last season, he kind of opened up and was
24:58like, I trust my body now. I feel like I used to and he had a really good year for New England. It wasn't a high volume
25:05role and that role wasn't really there now that they have um AJ Brown in town and Romeo Dobs, but he's a good wide
25:11receiver, a good talent. He can be that number two and so I'm excited for him to get that shot in Houston and I think he
25:17will be that number two for him. Uh as far as who I would take if I could lock in one wide receiver at cost in my most
25:23important league, I think it would be Casey Conception. I'd be fine saying stribbling instead in round 10. I know the Browns are trash. Uh, but that just
25:31also means a lot more positive game scripts, a lot more garbage time, and really like how how about this for a
25:37take? No one's batting an eye at like round six Carnell Tate. I think that Carninal Tate and Casey Conception are similar talents. Like prospectwise, I
25:48think Tate probably has a slightly better chance to be the better wide receiver, but it's slightly. I don't think it's by that much. The Titans have
25:54the worst offensive line in the NFL. Cam Ward was the worst quarterback in the NFL last season. All offseason reports indicate he didn't really get that much
26:02better preseason not looking very good.
26:05Like the Titans are not going to be good as well, but no one cares. They'll take Carninal Tate round six, but we're
26:11worried about Conpion in round 10 being on the Browns. It's the double digit rounds. There's not that much opportunity cost in the double digit
26:18rounds. Not many of those picks work out. I can tell you with 100% certainty, Conception is an exceptional talent and going to have a huge role on this team.
26:27The only thing he's worried about is quarterback play, but that is also the case for Carnell Tate going in round six. So, why are we worried about, you
26:33know, Conception, but not Tate? And maybe that's just more of a take that you should take that you should back off
26:37Carnell Tate. Uh, tight end still in the top five are who you'd expect, Loveland, Bowers, and KD. I've been very consistent all off seasonason. I love
26:47these three. I have been drafting them a ton. Um, not only do they each have the opportunity, I guess Lovelin and Bowers
26:54more both have the opportunity from a seasonl long perspective to put together a season that just separates so much in a points per game aspect that you really
27:02needed them to be that top end team. But they also have that high weekly ceiling to when you get into the fantasy
27:08playoffs, they can be that separator where they drop 30. you're going up against even a good score of 10 at the
27:14tight end position and you just have such a high um separation at the position and such a high positional advantage that uh it just makes them
27:23worth their ADPs. Bowers set the NFL record for the most receptions for rookie among all positions in his rookie season. Uh and then he just has the
27:31injury last season. Couldn't really perform based on that. Now he gets a major coordinator change. I think a goodsized quarterback upgrade as well.
27:39Uh, you have Loveland just dominant last year. Once he became a full-time starter. Um, I think by the end of the
27:46year, he'll be viewed as the second best all-around tight end behind Bowowers uh, in the NFL. Um, just fully expecting both of these guys to drop nukes. I'm
27:55willing to take Bowowers in two more mid to late second round for Bowowers and then anytime in round four for Coulson
28:02Leland. Uh, just the chance that Lovelin is that number one in the Ben Johnson system, that huge positional advantage he offers. I think it's worth it in
28:10round four. Um, and again, the appeal is not only that they can separate and be the number one tight end by like two or
28:16three points per game and separate from, you know, the tight end 7, eight where people are streaming by like five, six
28:21points per game. It's that they're both capable of 10 for 150 and three. And that's something that I want in the
28:27playoffs and all formats. And then for KD, he's just been undervalued all summer. People are pointing to the Achilles injury. The age, we know the
28:33age is just not a concern for older tight ends. Like look at Travis Kelty.
28:37he's doing at 37. If you are the elite of the elite tight ends, it's not a concern. You can perform at a very high
28:43age and the Achilles injuries was like the, you know, best Achilles injuries you could have imagined for recovering from. It's just not going to be a huge
28:52concern this season since 2018. KD's been a tight end 3 2 3 4 2 6 1 and two in adjusting points per game. So, pretty
29:02darn good. eight straight seasons being top six uh first and second over the last two years and you can get him in
29:08round 10 all summer. Very very obvious pick to make there. No longer in the top five or Aronda Gadston and David and
29:15Jojoku. I talked about this a few days ago um or a few days after the video.
29:19I've talked about it a few days ago in the news video that just like I lost all confidence in both of these guys. I
29:25think Jooku honestly is gonna have a fine role, but I lost confidence in them in fantasy because everyone was talking about Charlie Kolard and I was like,
29:31"Okay, Charlie Colard got to look into this a little bit more." I really viewed him as only a blocking tight end. The
29:36thing is, he's not like he was brought in to be their clear blocking tight end to play a significant amount of snaps a
29:42season, but if you look at his production in college, he's a blocking tight end only on Baltimore, but he was highly productive in the receiving game
29:48in college. Like, he can get it done in the receiving game. And so the more I thought about it, I was like, "Oh man,
29:52this offense is shifting much more towards that heavy personnel, run the football, utilize play action off of that, that is Charlie Kolar to a note
30:01Gadston." And it's really not David and Jooku as much. Uh so I think Gadston um I like I took Kolar over Gadston in
30:08round 18 the other day. I'm just not drafting him anymore. I'll take Colar every time in round 18, especially when I draft Justin Herbert. New to the top
30:17five. We had a few people leaving, few people joining now. Terence Ferguson, Kenyan Sadi. I have warmed up to these two a lot on underdog. They're all like
30:27every single time I go with these late tight end builds. That's who I want to end with. I want to take Ferguson, I
30:33want to take Sadi, and I want to take someone like uh Kolar. Um even when I'm doing an elite tight end build, so if I
30:39draft Brock Bowers, if I draft Coulson Lovelin, I'll do two tight ends in total, and I'll take one of these two.
30:44Um I just really think the cost for both of these two is exceptional. Um, Sadi is going to start season slow and for those
30:51of you in reddraft leagues only, I don't know that you need to go there. I don't know that he'll be in the Friday video.
30:56Again, that slow start, it's just it's not worth it in a reddraft league. He'll probably end up on free agency. You can
31:02get him after that. But for something like underdog, if I'm going to get him at pick 185 as my second or third tight
31:09end, I'm okay with a slow start because in the playoff weeks where it's going to matter, I really think Sadi's going to
31:14have a lot of value and going to vastly outperform 185. In a reddraft league though, Terrence Ferguson's that guy.
31:19Like I I add him to the mustdraft players list. Pretty bold if you want to actually take him as your only tight end
31:25in a reaff. Uh but honestly, I think it would be okay. Um if you want to just load up on running backs and receivers,
31:31you want to keep taking uh maybe there's a lot of valuable positions. People are taking tight ends. You miss out on some
31:36of the upside option. You're like, "Ah, I don't really want to take Hunter Henry, Brettton Strange. Let me just only take Terence Ferguson." Man, I
31:43think there's a chance that he is, you know, the third target on this team. He is one injury away from a massive role
31:50in the red zone. Like literally, if Adams got hurt, I would project Terrence Ferguson for like double digit touchdowns this season. And you're
31:56getting him for absolutely free at the end of reddraft leagues. Uh but I would mostly do it on double tendon builds. I
32:02would still probably go with a Likely or a Jawan Johnson and then also take Terrence Ferguson. But man, I just I
32:08want to be loading up on him right now.
32:09the ADP is rising. Unless he starts going in like the top 12 rounds, he's still going to be a huge value. It's
32:14just the opportunity cost is so little when you get into these late rounds that you're competing with just absolute scrub receivers, scrub running backs.
32:24Being able to take someone like a Sadique, like a Terence Ferguson, I think gives you a ton of value. In terms
32:29of which tight end I would lock in if I could choose uh for my one reddraft league, I think it's close. I would
32:36probably pick Loveland in round four. I think that's just my favorite draft strategy-wise. But if you said, "Nick, I just cannot go after early round tight
32:44end. It always burns me. I don't want to do it." Then I would say the answer is Terrence Ferguson in round 14. But I
32:49would really just mock it out. Do some mock drafts where you take Coulson Loveland in the fourth round. Do some mock drafts where you wait a super long
32:55time and take Ferguson and just see which teams do you like more. You can mock draft for free on my websitethefanty footballadvice.com.
33:03Again, test it out. See what works for you. Don't only rely on the team grades.
33:07See what actually works for you. What team do you want to have? Again, 100% free to mockdraft on the website. So,
33:14uh, I will be back on Friday to go over my favorite picks in the double digit rounds specifically for reddraft leagues. Who would be on my short list
33:23to be trying to getting onto my teams?
33:25That is a massively important video. We will be talking about only the best players to fill your bench with. I highly recommend you click subscribe so
33:34you don't miss out on that one. That my friends is in this one. Please leave a like if you are still here and I'll
33:39catch you all on that Friday video.
