0:00Brothers and sisters, friends of the revolution, it is Love Hate Day.
0:04Welcome. As the Happy Hour bar is officially open, it is noon on YouTube, but you know what?
0:10It is 5 o'clock somewhere, so what better time than to get in to Love Hate for week number two?
0:16We've also got a couple of pieces of news right off the top, obviously, and we're going to start with the one
0:24that just broke a little while ago, which is about Nico Collins.
0:28And so it's me. It's just me, by the way.
0:31No guest today. It's just me. As you see it there on your screen, Nico Collins hurts his hamstring in practice, may not play in week two.
0:40It doesn't sound serious, but there is a chance that he's going to miss this weekend's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
0:47There's the Schefter tweet right there. He met with doctors after this quote, doesn't believe it's serious per source, but Collins' status
0:54in Sunday's game versus the Bengals is in jeopardy.
0:57We're all in jeopardy in one way or the other.
1:00But what does this mean for you? What does that mean for me?
1:05What does that mean for all of us that have Nico Collins on our team?
1:10And the answer is not great. Look, you've got Kayshawn Booty, you've got Xavier Hutchinson, you've got Jalen Noel, right?
1:16They're all going to play. That's going to be the guys that take over for Nico Collins.
1:22I don't have a great sense that, oh, you got to go play this guy.
1:27I don't know that anyone in particular, like if you wanted to swing for the fences, I suppose Kayshawn Booty, right?
1:34You know, this is somebody that has made some big plays in the past and you could see them taking a couple of deep shots to Kayshawn Booty.
1:43I think the guy that has the best floor with also the most upside is probably Jalen Noel.
1:49I think he's probably the most talented wide receiver on the team.
1:53You know, they play him in the slot, so they'll probably get him some easy touches as well.
1:59They'll move him all over the place. You know, he's a guy that they drafted last year they have high hopes for.
2:06So I think that Jalen Noel is actually a guy that probably has both the highest floor and the highest ceiling is
2:13Greg Lau 100 says the Texans wide receiver room is a disaster.
2:17And that's exactly the point, Greg Lau. I don't know that any of these guys are that are guys that I'm rushing
2:24to pick up off the waiver wire that I'm rushing to start this week.
2:29I think they're all going to be kind of wide receiver four fives this week.
2:34And I would be lying if I said I felt really good.
2:38Oh, yeah, it's definitely all going to Kayshawn Booty or it's definitely all going to Jalen Noel.
2:44I mean, again, it's a little bit of a crapshoot hoot, a crapshoot here.
2:48But El Segundo, like this is the key, right?
2:51He says Monty gets an uptick in targets too.
2:54No? Listen, I think 40 touches incoming for David Montgomery.
2:57Like that's an exaggeration, obviously, but that's probably what they're going to do.
3:02I think you'll see some Woody Marks. I think you'll see Dave Montgomery touch the ball a ton.
3:08I think they'll spread it around on those guys.
3:11Wouldn't be surprising if we're sitting here Monday morning and the guy that leads the Texans in targets is actually Dalton Schultz,
3:18who becomes kind of a low-end tight end one this week as Millennial Falcon says, booty, booty, booty, booty, rocking everywhere.
3:25Maybe. I don't know. Millennial Falcon 86. I think in a best-case scenario, you are avoiding the Texans pass catchers if you can.
3:32We're not in buys yet, and yes, there are some injuries that we're going to get to.
3:38You know, Zay Flowers is a little bit banged up.
3:41Lad McConkie a little bit banged up. You know, there's a chance that you're going to need to dig a little deeper.
3:49But with no teams on a buy, feels like you should be able to do better than one of the Texans wide
3:56receivers unless you're in a super deep league. One thing I can tell all of you is that we will get to
4:03the bottom of all of these injuries tomorrow when Starfanya Bell makes her triumphant return to the happy hour bar.
4:10That's right. A lot of negotiation had to go on back and forth.
4:14You know, Stefania's people, I had to call her people, and then her people had to call Stefania's other people and her assistants.
4:22It's a whole thing with Stefania. Ste Stefania Bell.
4:24But we've managed to come to an agreement, and negotiations have been completed.
4:29So I'm very excited that tomorrow and every Friday moving forward, Starfanya Bell will be in the house.
4:35So very excited about that. We love Stefania. So that'll be fun.
4:39She's going to give us some information tomorrow along with a friend of Fantasy Football Happy Hour, my former colleague, my dear
4:46friend Dan Graziano, who is a hardcore fantasy player and one of the best NFL insiders in the business.
4:52So between Stefania and Dan Graziano, we will get you ready for Sunday.
4:56Great show tomorrow as well. As everyone here, very excited about Stefania Friday.
5:01Starfanya Fridays. But so that's the news on Nico.
5:04The other piece of news that came out after we did the show yesterday is about Jordan Mason.
5:10Vikings running back Jordan Mason has a fractured thumb, and he's been placed on injured reserve.
5:15As you see the tweet right here from Alec Lewis, Vikings head coach.
5:19Kevin O'Connell says running back Jordan Mason has a small fracture in his thumb.
5:24It's been fixed, but he's headed to short-term IR.
5:27To be honest with you, I don't know if there is such a thing as a short, small fracture.
5:33If it's in your thumb, I feel like it's already.
5:36I mean, like, does Aaron Jones just have an abnormally small thumb?
5:40Look at that. Like, I have a pretty big thumb, maybe, but it just feels like any fracture in here would be
5:48considered small when you think about just fractures in general.
5:51I don't know. It's something else to think about that we'll ask Stefania about the size of the fracture in Jordan Mason.
5:58Either way, he's not available for the next four weeks.
6:01Correct, Brian Hickman? Ow, my finger. Ow, my finger.
6:04All right, so look, you know, they've got DeMond Claiborne, the rookie.
6:08They signed DJ Dallas. He's going to be more of a third down special teams guy.
6:14I think it's Aaron Jones. Free Aaron Jones. Once again, hashtag Aaron Jones, hashtag free Aaron Jones.
6:19He rides again. Friend of the podcast, friend of mine.
6:23We love off some Aaron Jones. I'm at running back 20 right now.
6:27I think he gets a decent amount of work.
6:30I don't know that he's going to be, I don't know if he can survive a big workload for a significant amount
6:37of time, but in this particular game, I think he'll be fine.
6:41I think he'll get enough workload. He is a true three down back.
6:45It's looking like Kyler Murray won't be able to go.
6:49It looks like it will be Carson Wentz again.
6:52And so I know it's just, you know, Claiborne's a rookie.
6:55How much do they really trust him? I think that's one of the reasons why they have DJ Dallas there.
7:02So maybe they can spell Jones on some third downs.
7:05But Jones still has, feels like, you know, looking at the game last week, still has some juice.
7:11Like we like the offense. So I think he's a, he's a low end RB two with mid to high end to
7:18running back upside, depending, depending on sort of how this game script goes as the, the blumpler, the blumpler.
7:25I have a strong bench. All right. Blumpler will be the judge of that.
7:29No one likes a bragger blumpler. You're the braggler.
7:32Anyway, you say, should I drop Mason and chase upside elsewhere or stash him?
7:37Well, ideally you just have an IR spot. And so you're not wasting a roster spot here.
7:42And it depends on who else you have in the, it depends on who else is out there in the waiver wire.
7:50So it's hard for me to ask, answer in a vacuum.
7:53He's going to miss four weeks. I like Jordan Mason.
7:57I over like, like the Vikings offense. I think, you know, in week six when he's back, uh, uh, blumpler, I do
8:04think, uh, Mason will be the running back you want on the Vikings.
8:08But if you don't have an IR spot and you feel like you've got good depth elsewhere, but there's a high upside
8:15guy out there, I don't mind dropping Jordan Mason.
8:18I think it's unlikely in a 10 or 12 team league that doesn't have an IR spot that suddenly somebody is going
8:26to rush the way wire to grab Jordan Mason.
8:29That is my take. Uh, blumpler. I wonder, wonder if the blumpler is any relation to the blumpkin.
8:34Something to think about. Hmm. All right, boys, boys and girls, brothers and sisters, friends of the revolution.
8:40And it's time now for the week two love hate.
8:44We are here. And we're going to start off with quarterback loves.
8:48How about some Dak Prescott? I know, I know he wasn't great in week number one, but I miss QB three this week, right?
8:56So last year, the game's at home. Dallas desperately needs this game guys.
9:00You know what I mean? They don't want to go to Owen to they're playing my commanders who also don't want to
9:07go to Owen to I expected to be some fireworks.
9:10I thought Washington's offense looked pretty good last week against Philadelphia, really good Eagles defense.
9:15And I thought the Cowboys defense did not look good against the Giants.
9:20So I think the commanders were able to move the ball against Dallas, which means Dak is going to have to throw.
9:27And when he throws and he throws at home, he's usually pretty successful over 21 fantasy points per game last year when he was at home.
9:35Average over basically 300 yards passing per game. Remember last week where the commanders, they were given up 14 and a half yards per completion.
9:44They gave up three touchdown passes to Jalen Hurts.
9:47By the way, Cowboys implied team total is 27.
9:50That's a top five total on the week two slate.
9:53Second highest game total as well. 50, 50 and a half over unders I just talked about.
9:59I think there's gonna be a lot of scoring back and forth as Nick Brace Nation says.
10:04Dak-tastic. Brooklyn Brawler says Dak needs to throw it to Ferguson.
10:08Does he really? Does he now? I'm not convinced.
10:11Anyway, Dak Prescott, top three play for me this week.
10:14He is on the love list. Dak brings the attack to my commanders.
10:18Another guy that is a popular fantasy football team name because his name rhymes with a lot of things.
10:25That's Brock Purdy. Brock is gonna rock and shock the Miami Dolphins.
10:29He's at home. Look, the Dolphins have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL and we talk about implied team totals.
10:3649ers this week is 29. That is the second highest in week number two.
10:40And that in games in which the, here's why I mentioned the team total, right?
10:4529 points. Over the past two years, in games in which the 49ers scored at least 23 points just overall as a
10:53scorer, Brock Purdy's averaging over 23 and a half fantasy points as a quarterback.
10:57I have Brock Purdy at QB5 this week. It's a great matchup at home.
11:02Yes, they're a little bit banged up on the offensive side, but, you know, just Miami looked, the Raiders, Miami made the Raiders look competent last week.
11:11I thought the Niners looked awesome last week in Australia.
11:14So, yeah, give me all the 49ers. Give me Brock Purdy.
11:18He makes the love list this week. QB5 in week number two.
11:22Let's now go to some of the others receiving votes.
11:25Odd quarterback. That's right. Ilya Fumano. Brocked and loaded.
11:28We are all Brocked and loaded. You know what?
11:31Like, we're in a bar. And I just, I sort of feel like, you know what?
11:36Sometimes we just all got to get Brocked. Just get absolutely Brocked.
11:40You feel me, right? Hmm. My producer's just quickly putting up the graphic means they're in on that joke.
11:46That's fine. I liked it. Some of them are for me.
11:50Not all of them are for you guys. Some of them are just for me.
11:55You know? At a bar. Sometimes you get crocked.
11:58Well, I get Brocked. All right. Others receiving votes.
12:01Jackson Dart on the road at the Rams. Again, we think the Rams put up a lot of points here, as you see Matthew Stafford as well.
12:10So, I like both quarterbacks in this game. Jackson Dart averaging over 40 rushing yards as a starter.
12:16I think he looked pretty good last week against the Cowboys.
12:19And I think he's going to have to throw against Matthew Stafford and the Giants.
12:24Look, the Rams are off of 11 days of rest.
12:28Just think about this. You fly all the way to Australia.
12:31You get your ass kicked, which they really did.
12:34They just, you know, all the offseason, you guys are going to the Super Bowl.
12:39You're the Super Bowl favorites. You're the betting favorites.
12:42Blah, blah, blah. Defending MVP Matthew Stafford. And you go into Australia and you just get your ass kicked down under.
12:49Right? You know, like, you know, like the Niners were basically a kangaroo and the Rams were Jay Croucher.
12:55I mean, it's just a total ass kicking. And so, they've had a long plane ride back to think about that.
13:02And then 11 days of rest. And now they're at home where they played really well last year.
13:08Stafford, in games at home last year, averaged almost three touchdown passes a game.
13:13So, I think the Rams put up a lot of points on the Giants, which means the Giants are going to have to throw.
13:21I like both Dart and Stafford this week. How about Tyler Shuck?
13:25Again, same thing. There's significant underdogs on the road at Baltimore.
13:28Very quietly, Tyler Shuck, 20 or more fantasy points in four of his last six starts.
13:34He's going to have to throw quite a bit to keep up with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.
13:40So, yeah, he'll shuck it around. We'll shuck around and find out.
13:43Bobby Showtime says, Pinot Matty having himself a Thursday.
13:46Honestly, like, I tied one on last night. I might still be drunk from last night.
13:52As Millennial Falcon says, just pounding the Pinot on a Thursday, Thursday.
13:56It is. What do you want from me, man?
13:59Like, you know, I'm out here doing this by myself.
14:02The love. The Pinot-ler, the Ankler, hate the Excluser.
14:05Excuse-ler. Hey, wanky, 1310. You might be right. I like the Pinot-ler.
14:09Ankler, of course, is a winner. Excluser's not bad.
14:12I am the excuse-ler. And I'm going to be making an excuse-ler if Trevor Lawrence goes off because he makes my hate list.
14:19But it's got a bunch of caveats. Look, guys, it's tough to come up with quarterback hates.
14:25I mean, again, quarterback is deep this year. It's the deepest it's ever been.
14:30And so I have Trevor Lawrence on the hate list.
14:33I'm at QB 13. Now, a couple of things here.
14:36Last year, he played at Denver and had an awesome game.
14:40And, you know, he looked like he picked up just where he left off, like in game number one.
14:46So I'm at QB 13. So I'm just outside my top 12 quarterbacks.
14:50So he makes the hate list just because I'm lower on Lawrence than I normally would be in a given week.
14:57But again, I think you're probably still starting him.
15:00You know, unless you have some other great option.
15:03If he's your one quarterback, I wouldn't go to the waiver wire and try to find somebody.
15:09You're still starting Trevor Lawrence. I'm just saying lower expectations on the road to Denver.
15:14They got embarrassed on Monday Night Football by the Chiefs.
15:17Broncos back at home. They know they've got to play better.
15:21They don't want to go to 0-2. That's a team that has Super Bowl aspirations.
15:26They do not want to go to 0-2. There's a lot of stats about if you start 0-2, the odds of you
15:33making the Super Bowl are not great. So I just think Denver comes out ready to play.
15:39Since the start of last season, we're known that the Broncos have allowed touchdown passes at the third lowest rate in the NFL.
15:46And they give up the second fewest yards for pass attempts.
15:50So as Elson Gundo asks me, hating on the Trevor Lawrence for having all the lettuce.
15:55No, we love the Treveler. I am jealous of the lettuce.
15:59But I just, you know, I had to pick a hate for this week.
16:03And because I'm lower on Lawrence than I normally am, again, QB 13.
16:08Normally he's a QB 1. He's technically not a QB 1 this week.
16:12So, yeah, Trevor Lawrence, QB 13. Lower expectations for the Treveler.

17:45Let's move on now to running back loves. And it's Kenneth Walker against the Colts.
17:50Now, everyone that has Kenneth Walker is starting him.
17:52So it's like, I know, you're like, no duh, Barry.
17:56Thanks. Let me write that down, Captain Obvious. I, the reason I put him on the love list is I'm at running
18:03back four, but more importantly, I just want to take a moment here to try to like highlight how much passing game usage he got.
18:11We talked about this on Monday's show, but Kenneth Walker was targeted on 40% of his routes in week one.
18:18He was tied for the team lead in targets.
18:21Think about that. No one of the Chiefs got more targets than Ken Walker.
18:25Not Rasheed Rice, not Travis Kelsey. No one. He was tied for the team lead.
18:30And then you think about what the Colts did last week or what they didn't do because they couldn't stop Derrick Henry.
18:38King Henry, 163 total yards, three touchdowns. And so Ken Walker, who played 74% of the snaps through the first three quarters
18:45last week, I just, you know, he's my running back four.
18:49He could easily finish the week as the one running back.
18:52He could finish the year as the number one running back.
18:56So he's on the love list just to give me an excuse to talk about the fact that he has this crazy
19:03usage, especially in the passing game, which is what we always said in the preseason.
19:08Like that could unlock. That means number one running back in fantasy football overall is in play.
19:14Another running back on the love list, Ashton Gentry.
19:17My running back eight. Last week, he had a utilization score of 99.
19:21That was second among all running backs in the NFL.
19:24Only Bijan Robinson had a higher utilization score, which is a metric that our own Dwayne McFarland at fantasylife.com came up with that.
19:32It shows usage and predicts future fantasy success. It's on a scale of one to 100.
19:37So when I'm telling you Ashton Gentry got a 99, it should mean something.
19:42Over his past 10 games, very quietly, Ashton Gentry has a 19% target share.
19:46In fact, only two games during that stretch where he went even under 14%.
19:51So they're using him more in the passing game here.
19:54Three of his last four games dating back to last year, he's gotten at least 25 touches.
20:00So Ashton Gentry on the road with the Chargills, which is a team that doesn't scare you defensively.
20:06He's my running back eight this week. And then the last running back that's a love this week, Bucky Irving.
20:12I think the death of Bucky Irving, and Gentry for that matter, in the preseason may be a little bit too premature.
20:20Running back nine in terms of utilization score last week for Bucky Irving, 26% target share.
20:25That was the fact we talked about all throughout the preseason, was that if Bucky Irving was able to get passing game work, it'd be significant.
20:33The concern, of course, was that all the passing game work was going to go to Kenneth Gainwell and or Kenneth Ketchwell.
20:41And that Bucky Irving would just kind of be kind of a mediocre running back because when he's not catching passes and
20:48he's not scoring touchdowns, and were they going to bring in Gainwell?
20:52Were they going to bring in Sean Tucker? Was there going to be some sort of committee when they got in close?
20:59Makes you feel better. But last week, Bucky Irving, 26% target share, very much used in the passing game, 100% of the running back red zone touches.
21:08They got anywhere near the goal line. It was all Bucky.
21:12Kenneth Gainwell had nothing. He ran eight more routes.
21:15Bucky Irving did. He ran eight more routes than Kenneth Ketchwell.
21:18And, you know, this Browns defense that just coughed up 121 rushing yards and almost five yards per carry to Jacksonville running backs last week.
21:27Great matchup here. Bucky Irving, my running back 17.
21:29Let's go now to others receiving votes in the running back category.
21:33The Chubbler, Chuba Hubbard, pops up here. 72% of the team running back touches before the starters were benched.
21:40That'll change over the course of the season as Jonathan Brooks gets more healthy.
21:44But I think for now, Hubby, the Chubbler, Chuba Hubbard, is the guy you want in the Carolina Panthers backfield.
21:51Aaron Jones, we talked about him at the top with the Jordan Mason news.
21:56I think it's a great matchup against the Jets.
21:58How about Kyle Monongai, who actually ran more routes than DeAndre Swift?
22:02He saw 100% of the two-minute drill. Like, it's weird because I wouldn't have cast Monongai in that role.
22:09But we want as much a piece of the Bears offense as we get, full stop.
22:14And then finally, Kalon Black of the Niners. Like, you know, again, long trip.
22:19McCaffrey had some cramp issues. First game of the season, he'd banked up in the preseason.
22:24But 58% of the running back rushes is nothing to sneeze at, especially when it's in a Kyle Shanahan offense.
22:30It's worth noting that the Niners are 13.5-point underdogs.
22:33I'm sorry, favorites. Goodness, the pinot is really flowing.
22:36They're basically two touchdown favorites in this game. And so, you know, they're not going to want to wear McCaffrey out.
22:43So if they get up big, it's going to be Kalon Black.
22:47So I do think he has some flex viability this week against the Dolphins.
22:52Mmm. Mmm. Oh, goodness. Tasty. All right, boys. Like, I'm curious with the regulars.
22:57I'm curious what you guys think of the love-hate list.
23:00Are we liking it? Are we, do we not like it?
23:03Any names you guys agree with, you disagree with?
23:06I want to hear from you. Let's go ahead and comment.
23:10It's just me, brothers. Brothers and sisters. Friends of the revolution.
23:14All right. We're now up to running back hate.
23:17Simpo 1974 says, two days with no ankle has me needing some peanut.
23:21Really? No ankle drives you to drink? All right, fine.
23:24You know what I'm going to do? Normally what I do is I bend this way and I give you my right leg.
23:32But you know what? Simpo, here's a treat for you because you're here on Love Hate Day when I'm doing it by myself.
23:39Here's old Lefty. Here's old Lefty. Hang on. Let me get it into that frame.
23:44There we go. There's old Lefty. Secret magic left ankle.
23:48Look at that. Look at that. Like, you guys, I want everyone to take a screenshot of that ankle.
23:54And I want you to bring it to your doctor, to your plastic surgeon.
23:59Ved says, ankles plus subscription redeemed. I want you to take it to, you know, whatever plastic surgeon you use, whatever doctor
24:06you have, and you say, listen, how much? How much do you get an ankle that looks like that?
24:12And whatever the number is, I think you need to pay it.
24:16Because that's the level of expertise that you guys are all looking for.
24:20That's the level you need to get to. Get on my level from an ankle point of view.
24:26That's what I'm saying here. Yeah. Roderick Perry. Flawless ankles.
24:30We can't ask for anything more. You're right. You're welcome, Roderick Perry.
24:33You're welcome. Love my ankles. Hate any day I don't get to show my ankles.
24:38Let's move on to that hate list for running backs here.
24:42And it's, you know, I hate that there's confusion about how to pronounce his last name.
24:47But whether it's Travis Achan or Travis Etienne, he's on the hate list this week.
24:52I'm at running back 25. The usage last week was so concerning, right?
24:57And the same number of rush attempts as Kendry Miller in week one.
25:01Almost 70% of Travis Achan's points last week came as a receiver.
25:05You're like, okay, Barry, that's fine. And they're on the road at Baltimore.
25:09They're eight and a half point dogs. Like maybe he'll be used as a passing down back as well.
25:15Sure. Except the issue is Alvin Kamara is expected back this week.
25:19So do they continue to use Achan in the passing game?
25:23Or is Achan splitting the early down week work with Kendry Miller and Kamara gets the third down work?
25:29Which could happen. I mean, it feels like sort of this weird three-headed committee.
25:34I don't know. I just, I know I was very uninspired by the, you know, seeing as much Kendry Miller as I did against the Lions.
25:42And so, you know, he's merely a flex. He's merely a shaky flex.
25:47Donnie King 8603 says, would you trade Achan for Adunze?
25:50Anyway, it's always hard to answer these in a, you know, in a vacuum.
25:55How desperate do you need another wide receiver? What's your running back depth?
25:59I'm probably going to hang on tight with Achan for one more week and just sort of see how this plays out again.
26:06In this particular week, I'm, but I think just the premise of Achan, I mean, they paid him a lot of money,
26:14is that eventually he's going to be the bell cow of this team that we think is going to be, you know, above average offense.
26:22Whereas Adunze, I know I keep saying I want as many pieces of the Bears offense as I can get.
26:29But I'm just thinking in terms of just overall, like, I don't hate the trade.
26:34I don't think it's unfair. So, again, if you have nice running back depth, if you're desperate at running back, you know, desperate at wide receiver, great.
26:42I just feel like there's more depth at wide receiver this year than running back, significantly so.
26:48And I think that Achan has a chance to become a bell cow running back here.
26:53And there aren't that many of those kind of guys.
26:57So I think I probably would give it at least one or two more weeks, Donny King.
27:02But I do get the question. And if you came back to me tomorrow and you said, you know what, Barry, I couldn't help myself.
27:10I did it. I'd be like, I get it.
27:13Don't kill yourself. It's a fair trade, in my opinion.
27:17All right. One more running back on the hate list.
27:20And it pains me because I have a decent amount of them.
27:24But Marshawn Lloyd, you know, last week he was just running back 39 in terms of utilization score.
27:30Played just 45% of the snaps. Wasn't really involved in the passing game here.
27:35Chris Brooks, they like a lot. And they were using Chris Brooks much more as a third down back.
27:4163%. 63% of the red zone snaps went to Chris Brooks.
27:44So Marshawn Lloyd just running back 27. He's a low-end risky flex this week.
27:49All right. Time now for our pass catcher loves.
27:52But first, a sip of pinot grigio. Mmm. Mmm.
27:55I got to tell you. I enjoy being on my own.
27:59All right. All right. Here are the pass catcher loves.
28:02And we start in Minnesota with Justin Jefferson. So on the road at Chicago, again, the Panthers, I mean, think about what
28:09Jalen Coker, Cokeheads Unite, what he did against this Bears secondary.
28:13All right. I mean, like they averaged over 10 yards per target, the Panthers wide receivers did against the Bears.
28:19Over 10 yards per target. And now you get Justin Jefferson.
28:23Carson Wentz likely to be the starting quarterback of the Vikings.
28:27Kyler's going to miss at least a week. It seems like that's how it's trending.
28:32It's not official yet. But assuming Carson Wentz is the starter here, like you have to love it if you have Justin Jefferson on your roster.
28:40He's played six career games with Carson Wentz. And in those games, he's got 93 receiving yards.
28:46That's his average. He's averaging 18 fantasy points per game.
28:49Like when Carson Wentz understands the assignment, he can get the ball to JJ.
28:54That's what we care about. He understands the assignment.
28:57So anyway, Jefferson, my wide receiver five, those that took him early, you know, have been rewarded to date because we're like, yeah, Jefferson's quarterback proof.
29:05And then last year happened and, you know, but it does appear that, you know, he is, he goes back to being quarterback proof.
29:13You know, Carson Wentz and he's still producing with Carson Wentz.
29:17So it's literally just JJ McCarthy. All right. Next wide receiver on the love list is Devante Smith.
29:23Look, ride or die means ride or die. I'm not dying.
29:26I'm back in. I know it was a disappointing week one, but I'm at wide receiver 10 this week.
29:33I mean, first off last week had a 27% target share, had a 13.7 average depth of target.
29:39I was, you know, got three deep targets. Like they took shots to him.
29:43They tried to get him the ball. It just didn't end up working it out.
29:48Like, and then you like this matchup against the Titans, right?
29:52Tennessee last year, I'm sorry, last week, 85% catch rate, 16 yards for reception.
29:56To the Jets wide receivers, respectfully. Devante Smith ain't, ain't the Jets wide receivers.
30:01So I just, you know, since the start of last year, the Titans are allowing the six month fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.
30:10Give me all the Devante. I'm in, I'm staying tough.
30:13He's my wide receiver 10 this week. I'm just a pure wide receiver one.
30:17Pronto Joey gotta, Pronto Joey says, gotta go back to the Slim Reaper.
30:22I'll ride with you, Matthew. All right, thank you.
30:25Pronto Joey. We ride at midnight. We ride at dawn.
30:28So Wolf John says, Devante Smith will help you ride to a W this week.
30:33I appreciate it. I hope so. I hope so.
30:36The most important part though is, you know, I was able to survive the fantasy football regulars league.
30:42You know, Brian Hickman came very close to, to not, um, poor raise the flags.
30:47Flags are still at half mass, but, uh, yeah, I mean, millennial Falcon says it correctly here.
30:52We think, we think Devante Smith bounce back week very much incoming somebody else that, um, uh, somebody else that had a
31:00big week one that I think continues in a week two.
31:03And that's Mike Evans. He gets Miami. We talked about this matchup a little bit earlier, but no wide receiver had more
31:11routes run in week one than Mike Evans. 75% route participation.
31:14Wide receiver 14 in terms of utilization score last week.
31:17Got a 25% red zone target share. Obviously had a, uh, had a huge game, but, um, I just think these corners in Miami are pretty tough.
31:26Um, and so I think Mike Evans is going to have a field day.
31:31You already know I'm, I'm, I'm in on Purdy this week.
31:35Uh, I'm, uh, high on the 49ers offense against the Dolph at home off a long rest, the mini bye against the Dolphins having to travel West.
31:44I, yeah, give me all the Mike Evans. I have my wide receiver 13 this week, a borderline wide receiver one.
31:50Uh, and then finally, uh, last pass catcher that makes the love list Dalton Kincaid.
31:55So the thing, and he's playing tonight. Um, he's playing tonight against the bills.
32:00I'm sorry, against the lions, the lions and bills of the Thursday night game.
32:05And so you think about what this lions team did to Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant last week.
32:11They gave up 30, 27 points. Ah, the piano really is hitting me hard.
32:1527 points. They gave up 27 points to opposing tight ends last week.
32:19You can throw on the lions and Kincaid who, you know, has a last week had a 69% route participation.
32:26If you're telling me that like also all throughout his career, whether it's because of injuries or whatever reason, uh, Dalton Kincaid
32:33could never get on the field for like, you know, 70, 75, 80% of those snaps.
32:39And then last week he did and you saw what happened and the reports out of Buffalo are he is fully, fully healthy.
32:46So, um, yeah, I mean, I've Don Kincaid a tight end four this week.
32:51Uh, he's going to have a, he's going to have a very big game.
32:55I believe tonight. Don't play this back to me if he doesn't, I don't want to know.
33:01All right, let's go to others receiving votes. Wide receiver 13 and utilization score.
33:06Parker Washington, um, should have another good day. We expect Patrick Sutan to be on Brian Thomas Jr.
33:12How about Matthew Golden? You know, for as great as Christian Watson was, Matthew Golden's actually the guy that led the Packers
33:19in target share and routes run in week number one.
33:22This is a guy that was a very early draft pick for the Parker, uh, for the Packers.
33:28I still prefer Watson to Golden, but I think it's more one, a one B than it is one to two.
33:35Like Golden's right up there. Uh, how about, uh, Quinton Johnson again, lad McConkie banged up.
33:40Um, I'm not sure the, the Raiders secondary is all that.
33:44They've given up over 19 yards per reception to Miami Dolphins receivers.
33:48So I think, uh, I think QJ could get deep for one here.
33:52He's going to become the de facto number one wide receiver on this Chargers offense.
33:57If lad McConkie can't go again, we'll find out all the act, uh, all the latest on McConkie and everyone else tomorrow with star Fanya Bell.
34:06And the final, uh, final one, or you see Devon Bailey there again, he played the number two role.
34:12We expect that to game to be a shootout at Baltimore.
34:16Uh, Devon Bailey, you know, opposite Chris Olave, just getting a lot of targets cause he's out there.
34:22So, uh, you know, I think he's pretty interesting this week as well.
34:26And then finally, Mark Andrews, he's playing, uh, the saints at home, you know, last week, 25% target.
34:32I'm not a biggest Mark Andrews fan. Like I like him as a person he came on our show, but, um, uh,
34:39I'm not that huge fan of him fantasy wise for the year, but this week I am 25% target share for Mark Andrews in week.
34:47Number one, uh, no, no, no Zay Flowers. Potentially he's banged up.
34:51No, uh, Jacoby lane. He's also banged up. So I just, I'm nervous about what, um, the, uh, uh, you know, um,
34:58I'm nervous about, uh, uh, Mark Andrews generally for the, for the season, you know, but for this week, I think he's
35:06very viable, uh, as a, as a streaming tight end.
35:09Um, yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh, Jonathan Meachie. Wait, we're doing tight ends too?
35:13Where's Likely on the love list? I look, I love Isaiah Likely, but you know, he was on it last week.
35:20He was on it in the pre pre season.
35:23I got to mix up the names a little bit, kind of mix up the names a little bit.
35:29You're starting. If you have Isaiah Likely, you're starting him.
35:33Just trust me. Don't get cute. Um, not everyone makes the love list.
35:37Medici. Everyone said, uh, Andy, California says sleeping on Bateman.
35:40I don't think I am. Bateman will get some run for sure.
35:44If both Zay and Jacoby lane can't go, but like, I didn't anything's possible, but I I'm just, yeah.
35:51Um, okay. Let's see. Blind boy. Johnny says Mark Andrews or Tucker craft.
35:55I think it's Tucker craft here. As much as I like me, Andrew's on, I'm just talking him up.
36:01I just feel better about the, I feel better about craft as a player at the stage of the various careers.
36:08And, um, I feel better about crafts role. Like I think Andrews has its increase in, in, uh, snaps with the injuries
36:15to, uh, flowers and, um, uh, Jacoby lane. But I don't know that for a fact.
36:21So, uh, anyway, so there we go. What do we got here?
36:25Stuntman Chuck says, Barry, I would rather pick up a porcupine than pick up Bateman.
36:29Yeah. I mean, this is somebody once who once wasted a first round pick on Rashad Bateman in a dynasty league.
36:36It just dicey. I mean, I, I'll say this.
36:39Rashad Bateman has done our show. He's a friend of the podcast.
36:43So I never want to like talk poorly about him, but, um, I don't know.
36:48I'm not sure that I, uh, not sure that I buy.
36:52He's going to suddenly, you know, have some, uh, some epiphany.
36:56He could have a great game. He's, he's got that ability, but it's, it just feels fewer and far in between.
37:02Uh, Ryan Oswald, three, seven, nine. Oh, says I swear Baltimore players don't age.
37:07The reverse substation, the 49ers have. Um, I'm not sure I agree with that.
37:12Uh, the reverse subs, it's not that I'm talking about.
37:15I don't know that I, the players don't age.
37:18They're, they're, they're all a little bit older. They're all definitely a little bit older.
37:23Okay. Time now for pass catcher hate. Okay. And, uh, first one on the list, Marvin Harrison Jr.
37:29It's a bummer for me, right? I, I ranked him 41, but the truth is last week he got an 8% target share.
37:36Eight, not a typo. He was ranked fifth on the team.
37:40Oh, by the way, he had zero red zone targets since the start of last season.
37:45The Seattle Seahawks have allowed the third fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.
37:50Since it's a really tough matchup for a guy whose role is uncertain, who hasn't been a big targeter at many points in his career.
37:58I just, uh, feels like they have eyes for Michael Wilson and Trey McBride and not really Harrison.
38:04So, no, it'll take some while to gain some chemistry.
38:07But, um, for now, again, I have Marvin Harrison Jr.
38:11outside my top 40 in week number two. All right.
38:14Speaking of, uh, uh, speaking of wide receivers that, you know, came in with a lot of promise and now they're on the hate list.
38:22How about Brian Thomas Jr.? You know, I mean, like, he exploded on the scene as a rookie.
38:28It's a tough year last year. He's back out there.
38:31Um, uh, but I'm just, I'm not crazy about BTJ on this Sunday, right?
38:36We already talked about how Trevor Lawrence is on the hate list.
38:40Well, Brian Thomas Jr. since the start of last season playing this Broncos, right?
38:45Okay, since the start of last season, let me start that stat over.
38:49Since the start of last season, only one team in the NFL allows, um, a lower completion rate on deep passes than the Denver Broncos.
38:57In fact, since the start of last season, Broncos allowed the third fewest yards per game to perimeter wide receivers.
39:04They're really good on the perimeter, which is where Thomas lines up as well.
39:08Also, he might be a little bit banged up.
39:11So far this week, he's been limited in practice.
39:14He's got some sort of shoulder injury. I, no thank you on Brian Thomas Jr.
39:19this week at Denver. You see it there on your screen.
39:23I'm at wide receiver 48. All right. Then, um, last one on the hate list, Harold Fannin Jr.
39:29He was on the hate list last week and I was right.
39:33Look, the problem with Fannin isn't the fact that he's talented.
39:36He is. He's a very talented player. Um, the problem is he just, he needs volume to get to where he, where we want him to be.
39:45And he got insane volume last year. But this year, I was just like new coaching staff.
39:51They got Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston. They've got a lot more competition for targets.
39:56Oh, by the way, Deshaun Watson is not good.
39:59All of Fannin's production last year or the majority of it came down the stretch with Shadur Sanders as his quarterback.
40:06Now, personally, I think Shadur starts week three. I think Watson will be bad once again.
40:11And then, uh, and then they bring in Shadur.
40:14But I have no inside knowledge on that. Either way, until Shadur shows up or until we see some more volume for
40:21Harold Fannin, it's hard to get excited about him.
40:24I'm at tight end 14. Like, his average depth of the target in week one was 3.3.
40:30He ranked tight end 25 in utilization score, despite the fact that he had the big game.
40:35I mean, sorry, despite the fact that he didn't have the big game, it was even worse than you think.
40:42He was 25th in utilization score. Like, you know, 24 other tight ends were used more than Harold Fannin in a game
40:49in which they were getting their ass kicked at Jacksonville.
40:53Like, you would think they'd be dropping back every play.
40:56I, yeah. Browns have the third lowest implied team total in week two.
41:00So again, it's just, it's, it's just not a good offense.
41:04We don't believe in Watson. He's got a lot of target competition, um, on the road at Tampa Bay.
41:10Um, you know, just don't feel great about it.
41:13Just don't feel great about it. And that concludes Love Hate.
41:17We still have a few questions. We still have a little bit of time left.
41:22So regulars, let me hear it for you. AMA time.
41:25Ask Maddie anything. What do you guys want to know?
41:28All right, we'll start here with Fix It Fire.
41:31Washington Love, but Trevor Lawrence on the hate list.
41:34That's right, Fix It Fire. That's how it works sometimes.
41:37And Brian Thomas Jr. on the hate list. The, the fact is, is that the bar to be a love for a
41:45quarterback is much higher than that, um, than that of a wide receiver.
41:49It's entirely possible that Trevor Lawrence could throw 130 yards.
41:52It's a terrible game fantasy wise, but Parker Washington catches 70 of those.
41:57Great game for him. So it's, it's just, it's just about positional, uh, not scarcity, but it's just, it's just about the threshold for success.
42:05Um, Ved, the FFHH regular. How about Arande Gadson if Lance, if Ladd is out?
42:10Eh, I don't know. I feel, I feel better about Quentin Johnson there.
42:14I just feel like they'll mix and match. I think it'll be, uh, Hampton game.
42:19I think Keaton Mitchell got involved as well. Um, I just feel like they, they like Ninjoku.
42:25They like Charlie Kohler. So it's just gonna be a three-headed tight end committee, uh, in San Diego.
42:31I'm sorry, in Los Angeles would be my, all right, Wolf John pick one full PPR.
42:36Kaylin Black, Jonathan Brooks, or Woody Marks? I'm, I have Kaylin Black ranked the highest.
42:41Um, again, I feel better about, it's just, you know, it's such a good matchup and off the 11 days of rest.
42:48I think he'll, uh, you know, I don't know, I don't know what we get out of Brooks.
42:54And Marks may get some passing game work as we talked about in that game, uh, because of the entry to Nico Collins.
43:02But like, who's got the best chance at a touchdown here of these guys?
43:06These are all like part-time players at the moment.
43:09They're all clearly behind the incumbent starter. So give me Kalon Black, who has a chance of being the lead, lead guy
43:16in the fourth quarter if the Niners are up big, which they easily could be.
43:21And, um, uh, you know, so, sorry, I lost my train of thought on that one.
43:27But, um, anyway, yeah. Uh, let's move on to a magnificent, insignificant narcissist.
43:319987. I like that. Godwin or Wilson? Are they both the wide receiver one on their teams?
43:37Uh, yes, I think so. Although it's closer with Godwin.
43:40Like we have to see a Buka become fully healthy.
43:43But with Michael Wilson, we've talked about this a bunch.
43:46You know, Michael Wilson, they're moving them all over the field.
43:50They paid him in the off season for a reason.
43:53And so, um, yeah, give me some Michael Wilson this week.
43:57All right. What else? What else do we know?
44:00Lumpy Kumquat. Lumpy Kumquat says, all right. All right, Lumps.
44:03All right. Lumpy Kumquat wants to know, Evans, DJ Moore, Christian Watson, too many good wide receivers too.
44:09Oh, Lumpy's a braggler. Okay, I get it. Need to start too.
44:13Hmm. Evans-Watt. I, that's a tough one. Um, and you have to make the decision today because obviously Moore plays tonight.
44:20I'm going to go with Evans and Watson. Um, obviously a tough matchup tonight, uh, for Buffalo.
44:26Um, and, uh, it should be a great game.
44:29Lions and, uh, Lions and Bills. And so, I don't know.
44:32I just, I, uh, yeah, that's who I'm benching.
44:35It's, it's a tough one. And I, it's a, it's a rich man's problem, as they say.
44:41Uh, because you've got three superstars there. But that's what I'm doing.
44:45I'm, uh, all right. Um, I'm benching DJ Moore.
44:48Matthew Landy says, 7, Matthew Landy, 7, 7, 6, 2.
44:51Pick two PPR. Rasheed Rice, Garrett Wilson, Mike Evans.
44:54I think, I think you're benching Rasheed Rice. Like, nothing about that Chiefs game on Monday night made you feel great other than Kenneth Walker.
45:02Like, the passing game looked out of sync. The touchdown for Rice was sort of like a missed tackle, you know, kind of thing.
45:10Same with, yeah, I just. Just, Rasheed Rice did not look fully 100% healthy to me.
45:15Meanwhile, you know, we just talked up Evans, love the matchup there.
45:19And, um, uh, Garrett Wilson as well against, um, Garrett Wilson.
45:23I just, I basically, I prefer, I prefer Garrett Wilson to, um, uh, against the Packers than I do, uh, yeah.
45:30Um, uh, than I, than I do, uh, who was the other guy?
45:34The, sorry. I'm sorry. Getting talked to my ear.
45:37I'm getting confused. All right, here we go. But anyway, that's, that's my answer.
45:42DJ Moore is who you're benching there. All right.
45:45Medici wants to know, love, hate these Nolan movies.
45:48And now this is not fair because you know, I haven't seen some of these.
45:53I have not seen, um, Inception I've seen, Interstellar and I haven't.
45:57I haven't seen the Odyssey yet. Haven't seen the Prestige.
46:00Haven't seen Tenet. So I'm going to say Inception just because that's the one I've seen.
46:05You know, I saw Memento. I've seen, uh, seen the Batman ones.
46:09But, uh, yeah, I haven't, I haven't, I haven't consumed the entire OVU.
46:14Is that the word? Auvoir? The RU? Anyway, the canon of work of, uh, Mr.
46:18Christopher Nolan. So anyway, I wish I could answer it better for you than Medici.
46:23All right. What do we got? QA Zocum. Oh, uh, no, we got rid of, uh, okay.
46:29We got rid of that. Okay. Uh, Brooks and Flannels.
46:32What about Knicks? Is he going to redeem himself from the craptastic game last week?
46:37I think so. Um, you know, sort of, I think somewhat middling here.
46:42Um, Brooks and Flannels. But yeah, like I said, they're at home.
46:46They're going to be desperate. Um, it's a better matchup against Jacksonville than going on the road at Kansas City.
46:52I think Knicks will be fine. And I think if he's not, Sean Payton's going to take the play calling back over.
46:59I think they're going to give Davis Webb one more game.
47:03But if it's the same kind of thing as it was in week one, Sean Payton, I bet, takes over the play calling again.
47:11So there we go. So, um, uh, there you go, Brooks and Flannels.
47:15All right. What do we got next? Love, hate.
47:18Vodka, gin, tequila, rum, whiskey. I mean, do I have to say that?
47:22Oh, with each of them. Uh, honestly, other than rum, I'm not a big rum guy.
47:28I say I love all of them. So I love vodka, gin, tequila, and whiskey.
47:33I hate rum. All right. Um, I hate is a strong word, but just, you know, it's not my normal go-to drink of choice in general.
47:41Um, all right. El Segundo three. Do we close it out on Gainwell yet?
47:46No, he's too talented a player. They gave him a lot of money.
47:50I think, I don't know that I'm starting him this week, obviously, El Segundo, but, um, he's too good a player.
47:57I'm not, I'm not bailing on, I'm benching him.
48:00I'm not cutting him. All right. What's next? Let's see.
48:03D Swift, 4989. I wonder if this is actually DeAndre Swift.
48:07Might be. Hmm. Brock Purdy with a great matchup or Caleb Williams, the hot hand?
48:12I will say that, uh, D Swift, I don't think you can screw this up.
48:17I think both guys, uh, do great. But I mean, like you, you heard me.
48:22Purdy's on the love list. I have him ranked higher than Caleb this week.
48:26So Purdy for me, I guess. But again, I think both guys have big games.
48:31I don't think he can really screw this one up.
48:35What's next? Regular Rudy wants to know, are any Titans usable this week?
48:39Ugh. Not really. I mean, you know, if you're in a deeper league, the running backs will split carry.
48:45So maybe you could, but I don't, you know, I was underwhelmed by Wandel's performance in week number one against the Jets.
48:52So I would have liked to see more there and yeah, I don't, I just, I don't, I would not want to
49:00use a Titan unless I absolutely had to until I saw something.
49:04So far, I haven't seen anything. All right. What else?
49:07All right. So, uh, Galaxy Picker says Trevor Lawrence or Jared Goff.
49:11So this, this is an interesting one because Lawrence is on the hate list, but I still have him ranked higher than Jared Goff.
49:19That's the game tonight against the Bills. So, um, I'm going to go with the Traveler.
49:24All right. Next question. Uh, let's see. Um, Marketville says Jameson Williams or Matthew Golden.
49:29I'm going to go, I'm going to assume it's for this week.
49:33And I'm as much as I liked this, the usage of Matthew Golden in week number one, I think it's Jameson Williams.
49:40I think this game tonight is a shootout. I think it's a lot of fun between the, the lines and the Bills.
49:48And so, yeah, give me JMO. Roll Tide, by the way.
49:51Old Maverick guy, 8996. Love or Herbert? Um, Jordan Love or Justin Herbert?
49:55Hmm. That's a close one for me. Um, that's, that's another one that I think you can't screw that up, but I
50:03just, I prefer Herbert in the, uh, I prefer Herbert with a matchup, to be honest with you.
50:09But, uh, yeah, both, both guys should have really big games, but I prefer Herbert.
50:14Packers or Chiefs defense? Says Matty Randams. Really? We're asking questions about the defense?
50:18I'm, I'm going to go with the Chiefs, I think.
50:22Eileen Chiefs. I just think they're going to be more aggressive.
50:25They'll try to get after the quarterback a little bit more.
50:29So, I guess, I guess the Chiefs. I don't really, yeah.
50:32I try not to play in leagues with defenses.
50:35Oh, About Dale Time says, give us a Barry's bet for tonight.
50:39I like, I like, I like that. Uh, I'm going to take the over on, uh, Dalton Kincaid.
50:45Uh, you know, um, I like the over on Dalton Kincaid on, uh, on a couple of things here.
50:52Both the receptions and yards. Um, I want, I'm going to pull up, uh, fantasylife.com.
50:56So, here's the great thing about fantasylife.com. Is, uh, we have, um, uh, we have a bunch of tools that will help
51:04you, uh, you know, win, uh, win your bets.
51:07So, let me, um, let me go to this right now.
51:10I'm going to, here you go. Hang on. Here's some bets for tonight.
51:15Um, hang on for a second. Uh, nope. Uh, and, okay.
51:18Uh, two, two, two, two. I know this is interesting.
51:22All right. Whatever. I'll do this. I'll do this later.
51:25But my first one is, is just Dalton Kincaid.
51:28Um, uh, sorry. Dalton Kincaid over the, uh, here we go.
51:31I was just hitting the wrong button. I'm a moron.
51:35Um, okay. Some of the bets we like. This is fantasylife.com.
51:38So, I'll give you one. First off, um, Dalton Kincaid over on the receptions.
51:43Uh, Jameer Gibbs over eight and a half rushing yards.
51:46We like that. We project him for almost 100.
51:49So, over 80 and a half rushing yards for Jameer Gibbs.
51:53Uh, DJ Moore under 63 and a half receiving yards against the Lions.
51:57It's one of those we like. And we just talked about, uh, Jamison Williams.
52:02Fantasylife likes, uh, Jameau over 59 and a half, uh, receiving yards.
52:06So, also kind of like Jared Goff over 0.5 rushing yards.
52:09He's gonna run a little bit. You know, just like he'll be chased once and he gets at least one yard rushing.
52:17So, yeah. There we go. That is, uh, that is the Barry's bet for tonight.
52:22The Barry's bet for tonight is, uh, Dalton Kincaid over on the receptions.
52:26Okay. Um, uh, Dalton Kincaid, um, over, over three and a half receptions.
52:30Um, but, uh, and you just heard me do a bunch of these.
52:34All right. What is, uh, Quazzo Kum, K, Q-A-Z-O-K-M 15.
52:38Kincaid or Kraft this week. Also, should I trade JCM or Aaron Jones for Caleb?
52:43What one quarterback league? Drake May is my current quarterback.
52:46I already have Derek Henry and Brees Hall. Okay.
52:49Let's break this down. So, no, I would stick.
52:52I, oh, hang on. You have Derek Henry and Brees Hall.
52:56I actually might because I'm nervous about what Drake May's numbers look like without AJ Brown for at least a month.
53:02So, I would probably trade Aaron Jones because I think there's a chance that JCM, again, Aaron Jones has value for the next couple of weeks.
53:11And then I think it's going to go back into a committee.
53:15JCM could be the lead running back here. I thought he was, he looked pretty good against the Eagles.
53:21So, I would trade JCM for, for Caleb. That's fine.
53:25And I prefer Kincaid to Tucker Kraft this week.
53:28So, those are, uh, those are those two, uh, answers right there.
53:31All right. Uh, that is the love hate show for week number two.
