Aaron Jones

PositiveUsage0:09

Matthew Berry was encouraged by how much Kyler Murray used Aaron Jones in the passing game in Week 3, suggesting the Vikings are incorporating the running back into their pass-game scheme.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveProjection41:00

Matthew Berry ranks Braylon Allen at running back 23 this week and projects him as a top 20-ish running back as long as Breece Hall is out; Berry notes Allen will get 8-10 touches per game even when Hall returns and is favored at the goal line, making him a better option than Marshawn Lloyd long-term despite committee status.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeRole41:00

Matthew Berry discusses Breece Hall's expected return in a few weeks and notes that even when Hall returns, Braylon Allen will maintain 8-10 touches per game and goal-line work, suggesting Allen remains a viable fantasy option despite Hall's presence.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection52:02

Matthew Berry selects Brock Purdy as his MVP pick at +425 odds, citing his 3-0 record, league-leading 133 passer rating, and EPA per play rate more than twice Josh Allen's; Berry argues Purdy has better value than Josh Allen because MVP is a perception game and Purdy is overcoming significant injuries to San Francisco's roster.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveProjection32:30

Matthew Berry ranks Irving at RB14 and keeps him open despite Baker Mayfield's injury. Berry expects Tampa Bay to run fairly heavy with Irving, making him productive even with Jalen Daniels taking over at QB.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeRole43:45

Matthew Berry notes that when Caleb Williams returns to the Bears, A.J. Odunze could see a significant boost in fantasy production; Berry references Williams' tendency to stretch the field vertically and Ben Johnson's play-calling as reasons for Odunze's long-term upside.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveRole20:48

Despite being the best WR on the Titans, Tate faces concerns from Cam Ward's poor play and the emergence of Rondale Robinson, who has seen increased target share in weeks 1-3. Tate has struggled with drops and Ward has missed him in the end zone, overshooting him on plays where he wins one-on-one coverage.

Insight page
PositiveValue22:20

Matthew Berry ranks Tate at WR36 and reluctantly keeps him open for start/sit purposes in 12-team leagues with three WR starters. He cites 25% target share, Tate's underlying talent, and a favorable matchup: Ravens allow 7th-most fantasy points to WRs and 9th-most yards; Titans are 12-point underdogs and will need to throw. Berry expects Cam Ward to improve after showing better play in the second half of the Giants game.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeProjection33:00

Matthew Berry has Godwin outside his top 60 and is benching all Buccaneers pass catchers until seeing what Jalen Daniels looks like as the new starter. He wants to evaluate the passing attack before investing in Tampa Bay receivers.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveUsage0:33

With Jaden Reed out, Watson commands 26% target share in Green Bay's passing attack. Matthew Berry notes the Packers will be pass-heavy due to poor run game and weak defense, making Watson a beneficiary of increased volume.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeInjury46:00

Matthew Berry references Devon Achan as a cautionary example of early-season volatility in dynasty leagues, noting Achan was running back 21 through two weeks before suffering a season-ending injury; Berry uses Achan's situation to illustrate why trading young assets early in the season is risky.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveRole53:00

Matthew Berry notes Derrick Henry is in the Ravens backfield alongside Lamar Jackson, providing supporting cast strength for Jackson's MVP candidacy; Henry's presence is cited as part of the Ravens' overall offensive firepower.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveRole0:39

Emmanuel Wilson has emerged as a red zone threat for the Seahawks, recording 9 red zone touches through three games—significantly more than Jadarian Price's 3. This suggests Wilson has earned more trust and opportunity in Seattle's backfield.

Insight page

George Holani

PositiveRole0:39

George Helani has accumulated 7 red zone touches for the Seahawks through three games, outpacing Jadarian Price's 3 and establishing himself as a secondary option in Seattle's backfield.

Insight page

Gerald Everett

NegativeProjection38:45

Matthew Berry ranks Everett at tight end 22 this week, placing him outside the elite tier; Berry groups him with other Chargers players he's comfortable cutting due to the team's offensive dysfunction.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveRole25:45

Matthew Berry ranks Likely at TE7 this week and keeps him open. Likely has maintained at least 23% target share in all three games and ranks TE5 in utilization score. Berry notes Harbaugh brought him from Baltimore to feature him and Ricard to set culture; Likely gets tons of targets in open field and red zone, with Jackson Dart utilizing him on corner routes, zone reads, and play-action meshes.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup26:45

Cardinals allow 17.6 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends (6th most in NFL) and have allowed two touchdowns to tight ends in past three games. Berry expects Giants to throw frequently as underdogs, creating a favorable environment for Likely.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeRole0:12

Matthew Berry is closing out Jadarian Price, ranking him RB30. Despite first-round draft capital, Price's snap rate and percentage of team rush attempts have declined every week. He's lost a fumble in each of the last two weeks, averaging 10 touches per game and playing less than 40% of snaps. Most damaging: he's played only 21% of Seattle's red zone snaps with just 3 red zone touches through three games, while Emmanuel Wilson has 9 and George Helani has 7.

Insight page

Jalon Daniels

PositiveProjection33:30

Matthew Berry is bullish on Jalen Daniels as the new Buccaneers starter, projecting he will perform better than Baker Mayfield despite the team total being tied to the third-lowest on the week four slate. Berry notes Daniels' ability to use his legs to extend plays when the offensive line struggles, and his tendency to push the ball downfield from his Kansas tape.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout34:40

Matthew Berry notes Daniels went for significant money in dynasty waivers and was a popular pickup in two-QB leagues, suggesting fantasy community sees potential. Berry compares him favorably to Tyler Huntley, noting he runs better than Huntley and can generate fantasy points with his legs in his first NFL start.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

PositiveInjury0:19

Placed on IR; will miss at least four weeks. His absence narrows Green Bay's already narrow passing attack, concentrating targets among Christian Watson (26% target share), Matthew Golden (23%), and Tucker Craft (14%).

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveValue19:00

Matthew Berry ranks Waddle at WR29 despite slow, inconsistent start; cites 28% target share over past two weeks, 34% of routes targeted, 40% of Broncos air yards, and positive game environment (48 over-under) suggesting Denver will need to throw to keep pace with San Francisco. Berry believes in the talent and system, noting they're still finding their way offensively but will feature Waddle.

Insight page
NegativeInjury20:00

Waddle is described as 'a little bit banged up' with unknown health status, adding to concerns about his inconsistency alongside the entire Denver offense's unpredictability.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeUsage41:00

Matthew Berry notes Jalen Wright will see some carries in the Dolphins backfield alongside Ollie Gordon, indicating a committee approach that limits Gordon's workload compared to what Devon Achan received.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveRole0:42

Matthew Berry is very bullish on Jordan Addison, calling him one of the best route runners in the league and expressing excitement about his development as a potential number-one option for the Vikings if Justin Jefferson doesn't play.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveProjection0:54

Despite a poor Week 3 performance against Atlanta from an NFL standpoint, Matthew Berry was happy with Love's fantasy output. With Jaden Reed now out and the Packers forced to be pass-heavy due to run-game and defensive limitations, Love benefits from increased volume and opportunity.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveProjection51:00

Matthew Berry selects Josh Allen as his MVP pick, noting Allen is the odds-on favorite and can do no wrong; Beetle emphasizes Allen's consistent production despite having a celebrity wife and movie star status, suggesting he's the safest MVP bet.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveProjection43:45

Matthew Berry ranks Downs as a better short-term play than A.J. Odunze, citing much better floor and fantasy production outlook; Berry emphasizes Downs' target share, separation ability, and role as the primary weapon in the Colts offense, noting he's one of the most rising stars in the slot with high win percentage on routes.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection0:23

Matthew Berry ranks Justin Herbert QB21 for the week and strongly recommends closing him out. Despite going QB7-QB8 in drafts, Herbert has underperformed; Berry notes that if you're 2-1 or 3-0 in your league, you've done it despite Herbert, not because of him. The matchup at Seattle is unfavorable: Seahawks are fourth in pressure rate, allow league-low 5 yards per pass attempt, and McDonald's defense is elite. Herbert's rushing volume has dried up (17 yards last week), and the Chargers' interior offensive line is struggling.

Insight page
NegativeProjection38:45

Matthew Berry ranks Herbert outside his top 20 at quarterback this week and is comfortable cutting him, citing turnovers and inefficiency concerns; Berry notes Herbert is not running the ball, making him a low-upside option in a difficult Chargers offense with a brutal schedule (at Seattle, home to Denver, at Kansas City, bye, Rams).

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeRole0:38

Matthew Berry expresses optimism about Justin Jefferson's potential return for the Vikings. Whether Jefferson plays or not, Berry is very bullish on Jordan Addison as one of the best route runners in the league and excited to see him develop as a number-one option if needed.

Insight page

Kaytron Allen

NegativeRole0:14

Katron Allen is part of the Commanders' running back committee alongside Ja'Cory Krosky-Meritt and Rashad White. The team's decision to sign Austin Eckler suggests they lack confidence in the entire backfield group.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveUsage38:45

Matthew Berry notes Keaton Mitchell's usage is increasing in the Chargers backfield while Omarion Hampton's is declining, signaling a shift in the running back rotation that concerns Berry about Hampton's role but suggests Mitchell is gaining opportunity.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveProjection0:18

Matthew Berry preaches patience with Kyler Murray despite a Week 3 performance that set the worst single-game passing success rate under KOC in 73 games as Vikings head coach. Berry remains optimistic due to Murray's elite talent and the opportunities KOC's system creates, especially using his legs. He's ranked QB11 for the week against Miami's weak secondary.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection53:00

Matthew Berry selects Lamar Jackson as his MVP pick at +600 odds, citing his chip-on-shoulder motivation after being ranked 69th in the NFL Top 100 (he was ranked 72nd in 2023 and won MVP the next year); Berry notes Jackson has Derrick Henry and Zay Flowers around him and is playing the best football of his life.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveValue36:00

Matthew Berry keeps Nabers and advises staying the course rather than selling at his lowest point. Nabers has 29% target share in two of three games and is described as a superstar. Berry notes Stefania Bell warned of a slow start due to recovery from two serious injuries, but expects improvement as the offense adjusts and potentially gets J.J. McCarthy.

Insight page
PositiveProjection37:20

Matthew Berry projects Nabers will improve as Jameis Winston gets better or the Giants acquire J.J. McCarthy. He expects Isaiah Likely to be productive in the offense, suggesting the passing game will move the ball and Nabers' massive target share will translate to fantasy production.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

PositiveMatchup0:41

Marcus Mariota threw all over the Seahawks secondary in a recent game, with the Commanders scoring 33 points and generating short fields. Matthew Berry uses this as context for why Justin Herbert's matchup at Seattle is unfavorable, though he notes the Commanders had defensive help and short fields that Herbert's Chargers may not replicate.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeRole41:00

Matthew Berry ranks Lloyd at running back 44 this week and would not pick him up as a free agent, characterizing him as part of a three-headed committee on a team that can't run the ball; Berry prefers Chris Brooks in that role and notes the Packers' poor offensive line makes Lloyd a pass-script dependent back with limited upside.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveUsage0:36

With Jaden Reed sidelined, Golden sees 23% target share in Green Bay's narrow passing attack. The Packers' inability to run the ball and poor defense will force them to be pass-heavy, benefiting Golden's volume.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeProjection33:00

Matthew Berry has Evans outside his top 60 and is benching all Buccaneers pass catchers until seeing what Jalen Daniels looks like as the new starter. He wants to evaluate the passing attack before investing in Tampa Bay receivers.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon II

PositiveProjection41:00

Matthew Berry ranks Ollie Gordon at running back 33 this week and notes he has a better shot at a touchdown than Marshawn Lloyd; Berry cautions that Gordon won't get the workload Devon Achan had and will see competition from Jalen Wright, but views him as a better short-term option than Lloyd.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

NegativeUsage38:45

Matthew Berry ranks Hampton as running back 24 this week but notes he's touchdown-dependent and the situation is deteriorating; Berry observes Keaton Mitchell's usage is increasing while Hampton's is declining, making Hampton a risky hold despite his talent, though Berry would still pick him up off waivers due to potential role upside.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeProjection38:45

Matthew Berry ranks Johnston at wide receiver 62 this week, placing him well outside fantasy relevance; Berry suggests cutting him is acceptable given the Chargers' offensive struggles and Johnston's limited role in the passing game.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeProjection0:28

Matthew Berry has Saquon Barkley ranked RB16, lower than usual, but is keeping him open due to elite talent despite disappointing early-season performance. Barkley is averaging over 5 yards per carry and seeing 80% of the Eagles' goal-line rushes, suggesting mean reversion is likely. Against the Rams, the Eagles' offensive line is healthy. Berry notes the Eagles are 2-1 and playing a losing Rams team at home, making this a favorable spot.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeRole0:36

Craft holds 14% target share in Green Bay's passing attack with Jaden Reed out. Matthew Berry notes Craft had a tough game against Atlanta but is working his way into the offense; he's one of three primary targets for Jordan Love.

Insight page
PositiveProjection27:30

Matthew Berry ranks Kraft at TE12 and keeps him open, expecting him to 'get off the schneid' this week. Over past two games, Kraft has 77% route participation and continues to get healthier. With Jaden Reed out, the target tree in Green Bay narrows further, increasing Kraft's opportunity.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup28:10

Buccaneers are bottom-12 in fantasy points allowed to tight ends and have allowed two touchdowns to tight ends in past three games, creating a favorable matchup for Kraft.

Insight page
NegativeRole28:30

Matthew Berry closes on Kraft due to concerns about Green Bay's poor pass protection and LeFleur's potential response to use max pass protection looks, keeping Kraft in for blocking rather than releasing him into routes. This schematic approach could lower his route participation and overall utilization.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeRole0:13

Zach Charbonnet is expected to return to the Seahawks backfield, which will further limit Jadarian Price's opportunities. Matthew Berry notes Charbonnet is a veteran who can take care of the football and is great between the tackles, making him a threat to Price's playing time.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeRole53:00

Matthew Berry notes Zay Flowers is playing the best football of his life alongside Lamar Jackson in the Ravens offense; Berry also mentions Flowers has been banged up, which is a health concern for the Ravens' MVP case.

0:00Somewhere so the Happy Hour bar is open. Mo Hassan, Michelle Beadle, I am Matthew Berry, a friendly neighborhood bartender ready to
0:06break it all down for you in the world of fantasy football.
0:09Beadle, take it away. I am going to take it away, but before we get to where we're going, we did have
0:16a little bit of news that broke this morning concerning Green Bay.
0:19They are placing Jaden Reed on IR. So as far as their offense goes, what does that mean?
0:24Yeah, I mean, like, so Reed missed last week's game.
0:27So I think what this does is what we already expect, right?
0:30It makes a narrow passing attack even more narrow, right?
0:33Christian Watson, with Jaden Reed out, Christian Watson, 26% target share.
0:36Matthew Golden, 23% target share. Tucker Craft, 14%. It's really those three guys.
0:39So we already thought this was going to be a pretty good passing attack with, you know, with Wicks in Philadelphia and Romeo Dobbs in New England.
0:47And then now Jaden Reed goes down. So it's really those three guys for a team that candidly can't run the ball and can't stop anyone.
0:54Their defense has been terrible. So they're letting Jordan Love cook.
0:57And even though it was a bad game last Thursday against the Falcons from an NFL standpoint, fantasy-wise, you were happy with Love.
1:03You were happy with either of the receivers. Tough game for Tucker Craft.
1:07I do think he's working his way into it.
1:10We'll talk about him coming up a little bit later in the show.
1:13But while you never want to celebrate injury, and we hope Jaden Reed gets back, we now know the Packers are going
1:19to be without him for four weeks at least.
1:22And that's good for the fantasy value of the three guys I just mentioned, plus Jordan Love.
1:26I mean, I love those guys on their own.
1:29Tucker Craft, Christian Watson, all great players. But when you have the lowest pass protection rate in the NFL, I mean, we saw what they did against Atlanta.
1:37And that's not a world-beating defense. And he had barely any time even to go through his reads.
1:42So I just think when the offense is so stagnant, can he even get the ball off?
1:46That's my question. Yeah, well, listen. Again, junk time still counts.
1:49I just think they're going to be one of the more pass-heavy teams in the NFL because they can't run the ball
1:56and because their defense is so bad. And that's going to be good for fantasy.
2:00Beads. I know. I just hate neck injury of all the—it's probably my least favorite thing.
2:04I didn't know where you were going with that.
2:07When you said, like, I hate and you did this, it's like— Scared me the most.
2:11There's a lot of errors, a lot of ways you could go.
2:14Where could that go? I'm just saying. There's a lot of stuff.
2:18A lot of—I've known you for a long time.
2:20Do I not get some news? I've known you for a long time, and I just know a lot of the things
2:26you hate, Beatles, some of which you've shared publicly.
2:29I hate a lot of stuff. Yeah, it's fair.
2:31Some of which you've shared privately with me. I'm just going to say this.
2:35All right. I'm just saying. Okay, fair enough. Wednesday, I'm going to get everyone—this is going to be for anybody who's new to you.
2:42Wednesday is keep it open or close it out.
2:44Get it? Bar lingo? Yes, that's right. We're in a bar.
2:47We're in a lounge. And, right, so like you do with a tab.
2:51So sit and start. Are you keeping it open or are you closing it out?
2:55Okay, so we are starting with Kyler Murray. So, yeah, some guys that, yeah, that we're not sure about that are questionable
3:01in terms of whether you're starting them or not.
3:04Do we have an answer on what we're going to do with Kyler Murray?
3:08I know the return wasn't maybe stellar necessarily, but what is it?
3:11Close it out or keep it open? Yeah. It's been a long time since I've said that.
3:16I think less than stellar is even an understatement.
3:18The Week 3 performance, KOC has coached 73 games as a head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.
3:23Nobody has had a worse single game passing success rate than Kyler Murray in Week 3.
3:27But I still have a ton of optimism because I believe he has the most talent and presents the most opportunities for
3:33a guy like KOC, especially using his legs and the way that opens up the entire offense.
3:38Whether Justin Jefferson plays or not, I'm also very big on Jordan Addison.
3:42I think he's one of the best route runners in the league.
3:45I'm excited to see him develop as a number one option if he's called to do so.
3:50And how about the matchup? I mean, you're going against the Miami Dolphins.
3:53It seems like anybody throwing against that secondary is going to have success.
3:57So I would preach patience with Kyler Murray. I'm optimistic.
4:00I'm keeping it open. Thanks for figuring out what the segment was.
4:03The whole problem is the segment, right? We did a whole, are you keeping it open or closing it out?
4:09Yeah. Right. Wait, why are you looking at me?
4:11I said we're going to keep it open. Keep it open.
4:14We're keeping it open. We're keeping it open on Kyler Murray.
4:17I agree with you, young Padawan. Look, the fact of the matter is, he's my number 11 quarterback this week.
4:23He's playing Miami as well. Hopefully we get Justin Jefferson back.
4:26But there were enough positive signs. It wasn't a great game, but he didn't need to be against them.
4:31The only concern with Kyler Murray, of course, is, you know, again, in a game in which the Dolphins have lost Devon
4:37Achan and how good that Vikings defense is, is there just not enough for Kyler to go, to do.
4:42Honestly, that they don't need him to do much.
4:45But given that the fact the run game is still banged up here, I think they're going to want, this is Kyler's
4:51second really full game of being a starter for the Vikings.
4:54He only played a couple of plays in week number one.
4:57So my expectation here is that KOC kind of lets him cook a little bit and try to just get him more into a rhythm as well.
5:05So I agree with you, Jordan Addison. I kind of like TJ Hawkinson as well.
5:09I was encouraged by how much Kyler Murray used Aaron Jones in the passing game last week as well.
5:14So we're keeping it open on Kyler Murray. Again, he's my QB11 for the week.
5:18So QB11 sticks out to me because I'm about to ask you about this next guy.
5:23Justin Herbert. No jokes. Like, all jokes aside, but that says QB21, Matthew.
5:26So what are we doing with him? We're closing it out, obviously.
5:30Like, we're not starting a top 20 guy. Like, it's just, it's been tough, right?
5:34I mean, like, there's nothing that makes you feel good about this matchup, right?
5:38He's on the road at Seattle, right? And I get it.
5:41I get it. Marcus Moriota just threw all over.
5:43And, you know, the commanders scored 33 points, pick six.
5:46They had a very, they had short, they had a short field a lot.
5:50The defense really stepped up here. I don't know if the Chargers are going to do this.
5:54Now, this is do or die time for the Chargers, but, you know, they generated five turnovers last week against the Bills,
6:01and they couldn't get anything done there as well.
6:03I just, I just can't imagine that, you know, if you are 2-1, if you're 3-0 in your fantasy league, you've done
6:09it despite Justin Herbert, not because of it. And chances are that if you've been rolling Justin Herbert out there as your
6:15quarterback, you know, and this is a guy that went like QB7, QB8, generally speaking, my guess is you are, you're 0-3, you're 1-2.
6:22And so you just can't, you can't risk this.
6:24Like, he's not really running as much. Just 17 rushing yards last week against the Bills, which is one of the points
6:30about Justin Herbert was he would get you points with his legs.
6:34And yeah, I just, you know what I mean?
6:36Like, there's not, they're not running the ball effectively.
6:39It just, it, the Hawkins is- Well, they're not doing anything effectively.
6:42They're not doing anything. And now they're on the road at Seattle, an angry Seahawks team that just lost.
6:47That's a great point. Yeah. It would be really hard to create a fictional worse situation than this because- What do they do worst?
6:54It's playing against pressure. It's their interior offensive line.
6:57You have a new center. Those two guards aren't playing well.
7:00The tackles are great. But if you can't do anything in the middle, you don't have a run game.
7:05You're playing against the Seahawks. You mentioned it. Fourth in pressure rate.
7:08So that's top five. I mean, McDonald's probably the greatest defensive mind in the entire NFL.
7:13Now they're allowing a league low in five yards per pass attempt and 7.7 yards per completion.
7:17For an offense that just isn't clicking with Mike McDaniel, this is not the game and not the week to get things back on track.
7:24Sounds stressful. This has got to be very- It's got to be really awkward in the building.
7:29Are they going to go 0-1-4? Yes. I mean, how crazy is that?
7:33They put a dollar on it. And then what do you do?
7:36And then like- Yeah. Now this is a subject of the first hour for pregame, but the truth is, is like McDaniel has to go first.
7:43Like they're not going to get rid of Harbaugh.
7:46Like a coordinator gets thrown under the bus first and then- Didn't they activate Herbert's brother last week?
7:51And I thought that was like going to be like a feel good, maybe this will jumpstart something.
7:56Get the locker room going? Yeah. No, and it's a- Does he have any other brothers?
8:00It's a- Look, and the schedule does not get easier.
8:03After Seattle, then they're home to the Broncos. They're at Kansas City.
8:06They got a bye week. But then they're playing the Rams at the Rams.
8:10I mean, it's the same stadium. But like, I mean, you know- What is it?
8:14Like it's- They're two very different existences, aren't they?
8:17Miles Garrett may be back that week too. So it's like, I mean, it does not get better.
8:22Does not get better. It's a- Yeah. All right.
8:24Go, Chargers, go. But yeah, we're closing it out on Justin Herbert.
8:27All right, that one's closed out. We're going to move on to some running backs.
8:32Saquon, Mr. Saquon Barkley. It's been a little underwhelming, I guess, to say the least.
8:36Start with you, Mo. Keeping it open. Yeah. Closing it out.
8:39I mean, I'm going to keep it open because of the elite talent he is.
8:43But I am disappointed, right? Like he had that huge season two years ago.
8:47And my expectation was that he was going to bounce back.
8:50You have a new coordinator, Sean Mannion. They love that outside zone stuff.
8:54And I just thought he fit this system so well to AT.
8:57Now he did get banged up a little earlier.
8:59I'm kind of curious as to if some of those things are lingering.
9:03He has the cowboy collar, which is kind of interesting, looking like Eric Dickerson.
9:07I can't remember a running back who's done that since then.
9:10And he's just not scoring, right? So he's not getting a lot of touches.
9:14Oh, no. He is getting touches in the red zone, but he's just not getting into the end zone.
9:19So I'm going to be cautiously optimistic on this one.
9:22I am, too. Like, I have him lower than I normally would.
9:25I've been running back 16. But I, too, am keeping it open.
9:28Mo, I agree with you. You know, against the Rams.
9:31The fact is, is that, like, their offensive line is healthy.
9:34Like, it was a tough game. But, like, after that Chicago loss, they're going to go back to, okay, what can we do well?
9:41Keep in mind, the Rams, I know the Rams are very good.
9:44And they're also upset after a tough loss for them against Denver.
9:48But West Coast team traveling east for a 1 o'clock game.
9:51I always tend to like East Coast games and that.
9:53I think we've talked about this on the first hour of the show.
9:57Like, the Eagles are one of those teams that every time you think, like, well, the sky is falling.
10:02They're done. This is over. Like, everything's terrible for them.
10:05Then all of a sudden you're like, oh, here they go.
10:08They win. And so, listen, one of my favorite bets so far, we did this the other day.
10:13Give me the Eagles getting three. You know, like, I don't know how the Eagles, the Eagles are 2-1.
10:18They're a winning team, playing a team with a losing record.
10:21And yet they're at home as well. But so far, the two full games he's playing, he's averaging over five yards per carry.
10:28He's seeing 80% of the team's goal line rushes.
10:30Yes, there'll always be a tush-push here or there.
10:33But, you know, still no Miles Garrett here. So, I like Barkley.
10:36Don't love him as a running back two this week, not a running back one.
10:40But we're keeping it open on Saquon Barkley. There's still always the chance that he takes one to the house.
10:46You've got to think mean reversion, too. If you're so efficient, what is it, 15 for 82, and you're getting 80% of
10:52those red zone touches, at some point we've got to get in.
10:55Yep. I'm starting to learn the pattern here. So, I'm going to move on to Jadarian Price.
11:00What have you learned, Beatle? Well, I'm not going to give away my secrets.
11:04By the way, that would be awesome. That would be an awesome segment.
11:07Just what did Beatle learn? Actually, it would be.
11:10You're those observations. Well, it's like things that are happening on my computer right now.
11:14For those that are listening on the podcast that didn't watch the Roku show and watch the first hour, Beetle learned about beavers in the first hour.
11:21No, no, no, no. Michelle knew about beavers. She's probably known about them longer than y'all have.
11:26Good receiver. That may be true. It might be true.
11:29It's true. When we talked about beaver names, yeah, naming a beaver.
11:32Anyway, we talked about good beavers, good beavers that receive.
11:35Yeah, there's a lot going on. Chad Johnson went there.
11:38Jesse LeGreeze playing well. Also, yeah, all good beavers that receive.
11:41Holy cow, there's so much I could have. I'm so proud of myself right now.
11:45I'm maturing. Holy cow. That was a big moment for us.
11:48Good job. Okay, take me through this one. Jadarian Price.
11:51Open or close? I'm keeping it closed. I'm closing it out.
11:54Close it out. On Jadarian Price. So far this season, like, the idea that this guy had a first-round draft capital and
12:00was going to be used quite a bit, he was going to sort of be the guy, that was kind of the
12:06pro-Jadarian Price argument in the preseason was, hey, he's got an opportunity to, puns aside, take this job and run with it.
12:12They used first-round draft capital. Zach Charbonnet isn't there.
12:15Not really worried about George Helani or Emmanuel Wilson.
12:17Well, maybe we should have been. His snap rate, this Jadarian Price, his snap rate and percentage of team rush attempts has declined every single week.
12:24He's lost a fumble in each of the last two weeks.
12:27He fumbled against the commanders, and we basically didn't see him again.
12:31He's averaging basically 10 touches a game. He's playing less than 40% of the snaps.
12:35And so far this season, here's the red zone touches on the Seattle Seahawks, right?
12:39Emmanuel Wilson has nine. George Helani has seven. Jadarian Price has three.
12:42Three red zone touches through three games for Jadarian Price.
12:45He's played literally 21% of the Seahawks' red zone snaps here.
12:48So, look, you see it there on your screen.
12:51He's my running back 30. I'm closing it out on Jadarian Price.
12:54That's sad. And it is because I like the player.
12:57It is. Because he's the most talented guy in that backfield.
13:00That's the most frustrating. I mean, it pops off on the TV.
13:03You just see him, and he's just so explosive and quick.
13:06The biggest thing right now, it's a young guy, and he's just fumbling the football.
13:10So there's no trust. And if I can't trust you to hold on to the football, you're just not going to get playing time.
13:17And then you mentioned it, too. I mean, if you're rotating guys and we have Charbonnet coming back, he's a veteran.
13:23He can take care of the football, and he's great in between the tackles.
13:27It's just I do hope he can take care of it and not cough it up, and they kind of start to trust him again.
13:34But up until then, we've got to close it.
13:36Once you close it, can you open it back up?
13:39Sure. Have you ever done that? Have you ever been at a bar?
13:43Have you ever been at a bar, Beatle, where they're like, Ms.
13:46Beatle, would you like to keep this open? Ms.
13:48Beatle, would you like to keep this tab open and close it out?
13:52And then you're like, no, no, close it out.
13:54And then you go, and then you run into somebody that you keep talking.
13:58That's not what happens. Yeah, well, what happens? And then you say, ah, no, open it back up.
14:03It's not that I run into someone. It's just, oh, you know what?
14:07We're still having a conversation. I guess we'll open it back up.
14:10Or you really think you're going to leave. I mean, it's been a while.
14:14Right. I don't go to bars anymore. I know.
14:17Since two days ago. No. That was a restaurant.
14:19Yeah, but we- But restaurant bar. Yeah. It was a restaurant bar.
14:22But this is a true story. We had a team dinner.
14:26We had a team dinner, and Michelle was upset.
14:28Or not upset. She was worried that her other teams would be upset because Beatle never goes out.
14:33That's true. She's a homebody. Luckily, they're not watching.
14:35No. Yeah, exactly. Sorry, Chandler, if you're watching. Shout out, Chandler.
14:39Exactly. But Beatle felt like she was cheating on her other TV family.
14:42I kind of was cheating. Yeah, a little bit.
14:45If you think about it that way. It's all right.
14:47It's all good. Anyway, yes. But Beatle's a homebody, unfortunately.
14:50So we can aim no- Okay, so it's not over yet.
14:53Jacory, Krusky. For you or for the segment? Well, for everyone, really.
14:57There's still hope. I love- Okay, I love this.
14:59I'm going to go to you first, Mo. Yeah.
15:02Speaking of hope, I have no hope here. Speaking of.
15:04So I have to close it. I usually try to find a little bit of positive, but this one's tough, right?
15:10And it's a running game with the commanders that they're just not very efficient.
15:14And then, so the next thing you look at, okay, can you affect the game in the passing sense?
15:19And you're just not doing that either. Not getting a lot of targets.
15:23You're just not being used on third down as much.
15:26I mean, if you look at the numbers, he's three yards per carry through three weeks.
15:30It's .7 per rush before contact. Just they're not establishing that part of the game right now.
15:35You have a new quarterback. Marcus is playing great, but they're just not running the ball well, especially when you're rotating guys.
15:41So I got to close this. And that's the key, right?
15:44They're rotating guys. I mean, the fact of the matter is, so you guys probably saw, but proud Fantasy Life investor and
15:50friend of the show, multiple-time friend of the show, Austin Eckler, signed with the commanders.
15:54Friend of fantasy everywhere, Austin Eckler. But regardless of whether Austin himself has any fantasy value, the fact of the matter that
16:00they felt the need to sign Austin, despite the fact they don't actually have any injuries in that running room, tells you
16:06they feel like there's something lacking there. And whether it's between Ja'Cory Krosky-Meritt, whether it's Rashad White, Katron Allen, the rookie, they felt like they needed something there.
16:14Eckler's literally on the plane to London right now.
16:17It is the London game this weekend between the Colts.
16:19Now, it's a positive matchup. Colts give up almost five yards per carry to opposing running backs.
16:24But to your point, Mo, it's a committee. They're not using him in the passing game.
16:29Bill has a 3% target share. So you're really just hoping can he fall into the end zone?
16:34I don't feel great about the choices. Because candidly to my eye, just purely from an eye test, you know, Rashad White
16:40looks like the better running back so far this year.
16:42Meritt's, Krosky-Meritt's had a couple of nice runs and a couple of nice moments.
16:46But consistently, Rashad White actually has looked better overall.
16:49He's my running back 32 on the week. I'm closing it out on Bill Krosky-Meritt.
16:53Negative. We'll be back with more. Keep it open or close it out after the break.
16:57You know those nights when it's almost dinner time, everyone's hungry, and you open up the fridge only to realize you have absolutely no plan?
17:04Well, that used to mean scrambling to figure out something or ordering takeout.
17:08But honestly, lately I've been keeping my freezer stocked with Omaha steaks.

19:00Am I start with you with Jalen Waddell? Yeah, listen, I get it.
19:04It has been a slow start, an inconsistent start to the season for Jalen Waddell.
19:08He's been good. He's been bad. He's been bad.
19:10He's been good. But over the past two games, like first week was truly brutal.
19:15But I'm keeping it open. Like you see it right there on your screen.
19:18I'm at wide receiver 29. So, you know, barely.
19:21But the positives here, 28% target share over the last two weeks.
19:24He's been targeted on 34% of his route. So when he's out there, they're looking for him as well.
19:30He's actually seen 40% of the Broncos air yards so far this season.
19:33Pretty good game environment, by the way, over-unders 48.
19:36So expect a lot of explosive plays in this one.
19:38I think they're going to have to throw to keep up with San Francisco and Brock Purdy.
19:43So, yeah, I'm keeping it open to Jalen Waddell.
19:46They're still finding their way in Denver with this offense.
19:48But I believe in the talent and ultimately believe in the system.
19:52I agree. We're going to keep it open because I think he's just the most explosive guy on this offense.
19:57I don't think you make that acquisition without having this in mind that we're going to feature him.
20:02And they are trying to feature him. It just hasn't quite clicked so far.
20:06The number one thing that does concern me, to your point, is the inconsistency.
20:10Both with him, he is a little bit banged up, so I don't know how he is on a health status.
20:16But also just the entire offense. I mean, sometimes it's a tail of two halves.
20:20They put up zero points and then second half they come out and they look unbelievable.
20:24Throwing the ball all over the field, down 60-0, they come back and win.
20:28So which version of the Denver Broncos are we going to get?
20:32And I also think when you have a new play caller, he has gotten better after each week.
20:37They're going to try to find ways to get Waddle the football.
20:40I do think that they're going to get it figured out soon.
20:43Yeah. Both on the open side. Yep. Keep it open.
20:46All right. No. You're up next for Carnell Tate.
20:49Talk to me about, over to close. Mr. Tate.
20:51Yeah. Mr. Tate. This is one where, in theory, again, he's the best wide receiver on this football team.
20:56Cam Ward has not played great at all. The emergence also of Wondale Robinson does also concern me.
21:01Because we've seen from weeks one, two, and three, he's getting an increased target share.
21:05For whatever reason, the connection just hasn't clicked. I've seen a few times where Carnell's dropping balls, where he's winning one-on-one coverage and he's just dropping it.
21:13Or other times, Cam missed him in the end zone, too.
21:16He climbs up in the pocket and just overshoots him.
21:19So sometimes there'll be a combination between accuracy and drops, and they're just not clicking over there with Dable.
21:24So the talent is there. So it's making me want to keep it open, but I'm actually kind of scared because of
21:30how bad of an offense it is. All right.
21:33So are you keeping it open or closing it out?
21:35I got to choose. You got to choose. Yes, that's the premise of the segment.
21:40He's new to TV, in fairness to him. He's new to TV.
21:43No, it's fair. You've got to take a stand.
21:45It's just hard. I'm closing. Okay. Oh, there it is.
21:48All right. That's fair enough. I totally get why you would.
21:51I'm going to keep it open. Don't feel great about it either.
21:54I mean, no, but listen, he's my wide receiver 36.
21:57So, like, again, it's all context, right? But if you're in a 12-team league where you start three wide receivers, like, in
22:03that scenario, again, he's my wide receiver 36. So I am reluctantly keeping it open, again, assuming he would be a startable
22:09wide receiver normally in your size league. But so far this year, 25% target share.
22:14I'm hoping, I'm banking on two things. Number one is talent, right?
22:17Again, we know the guy's talent is there. And big game from Wando Robinson last week, and there's been some bad drops with Carnell Tate.
22:24But ultimately, he's still their number one wide receiver.
22:26I think he's a talented player. Titans are almost 12-point underdogs in this one, right?
22:31So my expectation here is they're going to have to throw quite a bit to keep up with the Ravens as well.
22:37Baltimore, by the way, allowed the seven most fantasy points to wide receivers so far this season.
22:41They've given up the ninth most yard. So you can throw on this Ravens secondary, especially, I think, again, 11.5-point favorites here.
22:47I think they're going to have to throw. Hopefully Cam starts to get a little bit better.
22:52Feels like the offense, feels like in the second half of that Giants game, all of a sudden, the offense clicked a little bit.
22:59I know they didn't get the result they wanted, but he looked better in the second half than he has so far this year.
23:05So, again, you have to be in the right kind of league, but I am reluctantly keeping it open on Carnell Tate at wide receiver 36.
23:13You know what's crazy? What is crazy? None of these guys are on either one of my teams so far.
23:18There you go. But, no, I'm still lousy. Like, it's kind of crazy that we have all of this.
23:23Because you have Drake there. Just stop talking. Bears.
23:26Okay, so now we've got the Case Keenumera officially underway.
23:29We have something to look at. Does that mean Mr.
23:31Adunze is back in? I'm closing it out on Roma Adunze Beatle.
23:35I appreciate your optimism. I'm so excited. Yeah, Beatle for once finally got optimistic about something and then no.
23:40But, listen, this guy's been under eight fantasy points in all three games this season.
23:44He's got a 14% target share. Just whether it's the Kalief Raymond of it or just whether, you know, there's different reasons.
23:50Another quarterback. But just, you know, Case Keenum, his style of game doesn't really translate well to what Roma Adunze does.
23:56You know, and obviously Caleb got injured in week number two.
23:59But, like, so much of what he does is down the field.
24:03Over 50% of his targets have come on 15 or more air yards down the field as well.
24:08And so you think about Case Keenum, whose average depth of target was under six.
24:12Like, he was very dink and dunk and they tried to just get guys free.
24:16So Case Keenum's style of play favors Kalief Raymond, Luther Burden, which we saw play out on Monday night against the Eagles, less than Adunze.
24:23So even though it's a, you know, it's not a matchup that scares you against the Jets, although the Jets' defense is
24:29better than I think they get credit for. Just a perspective why.
24:32I'm closing it out. He's my wide receiver 44 this week.
24:35So when you say open close, just to be clear, is that for this week or for the entire season?
24:41This is for this week. Okay, so I'm with you.
24:44Oh, you can earn it back. Okay, I'm with you on closing this week, but I love him when Caleb comes back.
24:50Sure. Because I think this offense is going to completely transform.
24:53This is merely for this week. Exactly. Ben Johnson shifts it depending on his personnel.
24:57Case Keenum, better with the quick game, right? That's why his ADOT is so low right now.
25:02I agree with you. It's just there's too many weapons right now.
25:05I think even the tight ends I would take over Roma Dunzey.
25:08But when Caleb does come back, you're the number one wide receiver option on the perimeter with the highest scoring offense in
25:14the league in theory, which is what I'm projecting.
25:17So I like him long term. Yeah. I think the Bears offense is an opportunity to buy low in general, right?
25:23Especially because I do think, again, I do believe in Ben Johnson.
25:26I do believe in this offense. I do. When Caleb comes back, I think it'll be exciting and interesting.
25:31All right, we'll move on to the tight ends as you sort of talk to Bill.
25:36Isaiah Likely, 13 yards last week. Not good. Okay, fair enough.
25:39Open or close? Mo, you want to start that one?
25:41Yeah, I'm keeping it open. Okay. That was a rain game.
25:45The weather does not dictate. All right? I was just going to take away the passing game.
25:49That was Jameis Winston getting his bearings. I am really high on Isaiah Likely.
25:53We know that Harbaugh likes to utilize his tight ends.
25:56He brings him over from Baltimore for a reason.
25:58Him and Ricard are being featured because these are the guys that are setting the culture, and he understands the big talent that he is.
26:05I think he gets really a ton of targets in the open field, but more importantly for us, in the red zone
26:11as well, we saw how Jackson Dart utilized him with some of those corner routes in the back, off the zone read,
26:18and the meshes in the play action. So I am going to remain very optimistic with Isaiah Likely.
26:22Yeah, I agree with you. I'm keeping it open on him.
26:26He's my tight end seven this week as well.
26:28There's been, you know, you mentioned Jackson Dart, but even with Jameis Winston, he has struggled.
26:32But Winston continually looks for Isaiah Likely as well.
26:35So, so far this season, he's had at least a 23% target share in all three games so far this season.
26:41Isaiah Likely, the tight end five in terms of utilization score so far this year.
26:45Like, he's a big part of this Giants offense.
26:47You're not scared about the match with Arizona. In fact, you like it.
26:51Cardinals so far this year allowing 17.6 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends.
26:55That is the sixth most in the NFL. And so a game in which we don't think Arizona is going to struggle
27:01to score points against the Giants, my expectation here is that they'll be throwing.
27:05Hopefully Jameis is a little bit better. JJ McCarthy in town.
27:08Maybe Jameis realizes he's got to, like, you know, focus.
27:11Like, you know, in the third quarter when he's just like, I got to lock in.
27:15He's been playing for the whole half. Thanks, Jameis.
27:18But, yeah, I'm with you. I just, I don't think you have a better option.
27:22It's my tight end seven. Absolutely keep it open on Isaiah Likely.
27:25Isaiah Likely. Tucker Craft, Matthew. I know you had positive things before the season started.
27:30I did. It's been tough. It's been a, you know, it has been a slow start to the season for the Tuckler, Tucker Craft.
27:36But what things are going positive here is that, you know, over the past two games, 77% route preservation continue to get healthier.
27:43Again, we talked about this at the top of the show.
27:46Jaden Reed is out. So, again, even more of a narrow target tree in Green Bay.
27:50They're on the road at the Buccaneers who have allowed touchdowns to, two touchdowns to tight ends in their past three games.
27:56They're bottom 12 in terms of most fantasy points allowed, most yards to opposing tight ends.
28:01So it's a good matchup here. I think the Tuckler gets off the schneid.
28:04He's a top 12 fantasy tight end for me.
28:07Tight end 12. Yeah. But he makes it so I am keeping it open as a low-end tight end one this week.
28:13I hear you because I was also high on him in the preseason.
28:17I think he's a great talent. I think Jordan Love's a good quarterback.
28:20But. But. I feel like there's a but coming.
28:23There's definitely a but. I have to close this because of how bad their protection is and not just because of how
28:29bad it is, but the way that LeFleur may respond to getting some of those looks.
28:33And he's starting to go into some of those max pass protection looks when you have the running back and you keep the tight end in there.
28:41And so if you're going to keep Tuckler in for protection, I think that's going to lower his route participation and his just utilization in total.
28:48So it just kind of depends on schematically how you view protecting Jordan Love.
28:52And that's what concerns me. He's a little bit more mobile.
28:55I mean, I think they'll figure it out. They have a couple of good blocking tight ends there in Green Bay.
29:01So I could certainly see that. But again, like they'll do some stuff where, you know, Cardinals will bring pressure.
29:06Kraft will chip and then release out. And again, there's just not a lot of the guys to throw to.
29:12So again, it's been tough. He's also a red zone target and the Cardinals, as I mentioned, giving up a couple of touchdowns recently to opposing tight ends.
29:20So yeah, again, tight end 12. I'm keeping it open on Tucker Kraft.
29:23Are you keeping it open or closing it out?
29:26I'm going to remain closed. All right. I'm going to remain closed.
29:29I don't like what I saw against Atlanta. All right.
29:32Fair enough, Beatle. You get to break the tie.
29:34No, I'm not going to break the tie. It's not on my team.
29:38Break it. I don't know. I have no opinion on him.
29:41It's going to be for us for this week.
29:43However, we got some mailbag. We got some mailbag.

31:05regulars, the regulars at the Happy Hour bar. Get it.
31:08Great group. Great group. And so they have formed their own discord.
31:12There is a Fantasy Football Happy Hour discord that I encourage everyone to join in.
31:16Eventually, we're still working out the kinks. Technology, we're trying to figure it all out.
31:20The show used to be live on YouTube, and we would take YouTube comments during the show.
31:25Right. We're no longer live on YouTube. We are here live on Roku.
31:28And so we're figuring out a way to get discord comments.
31:31Or honestly, if you want to tweet at me, at Matthew Barry TMR, at Michelle D.
31:36Beetle, at, what is it? At Mohasan10. Mohasan10. At Mohasan10.
31:38If you want to tweet at any one of us during the show as well.
31:43So we're trying to work on getting the comments into the show.
31:46So I know there's been a lot of talk in the discord.
31:49I pop in all the time. So please, if you haven't joined it yet, please join our discord.
31:54If you're listening to this as a podcast, you can get the link in the description of the podcast.
31:59Otherwise, just download the discord app and search for fantasy football happy hour.
32:03Join it. It's free. Everyone is awesome in there.
32:06So here's some of the common questions beads that came up from our discord.
32:09Gotcha. You should jump in. Both of you guys should jump in.
32:13Say hi to the regulars. I'll have to look up what a discord is, but as soon as I figure that out, I'll be in it.
32:20You're such an old. You're such an old. All right.
32:23I'm an old. Okay. Anyway, so. Okay. So you ready?
32:26Yeah. These are some of the regulars. What do we got?
32:29These are the regular. Okay. Raise the flags. Yep.
32:31Asks, is it time to bench all bucks until further notice with the Baker injury?
32:35Yeah. I mean, this is a tough break with Baker Mayfield.
32:38And we actually talked about it in the first hour of pregame yesterday.
32:42But my answer is no, at least as it relates to the running back, right?
32:46I have Bucky Irving at running back 14. I think they go, you know, fairly run heavy here.
32:51So look, Jalen Daniels is going to talk as started quarterback.
32:54And I want Mo to talk about Jalen Daniels because I know you have a strong opinion there.
32:59But I have a book outside my top 40.
33:02I have Godwin outside my top 60. I want to see this passing attack before I'm willing to invest in it.
33:07So I'm, I'm benching all the pass catchers in Tampa Bay until I see what Daniels looks like.
33:12But I do think Bucky Irving will be productive.
33:15The other thing that's a concern here, Mo, is that the, you know, the team total is, you know, tied to the
33:21third lowest on the week four slate. So they're not expecting a ton of points under Daniels for a start.
33:27Well, they're not, but I am. And so I think the question also suggests Baker's been playing great.
33:32And he hasn't been. He really hasn't. I mean, it's one of the worst beginnings, two seasons in his NFL career.
33:37So like we're thinking there's going to be this massive drop off.
33:41And I get why you would say that because we have an undrafted quarterback coming.
33:45Oh, new. I'm just pointing. I'm just pointing at the cameras.
33:48They watch me drink. That's right. I was like, what?
33:51Okay. So Jalen Daniels, right? Undrafted rookie quarterback from Kansas.
33:53Yeah. Nobody thought that he would even win the two job.
33:56I mean, that was really big for him. The big thing would be, is he even going to make the 53-man roster?
34:03And he surpassed expectations. Preseason tape, one of the best you'll see.
34:06Now, obviously, is it hard to project from preseason you're going against twos and threes to now you're playing an NFL starter defense.
34:12What I will say in your first start, there's not a book on you.
34:16So you do have that advantage. We've seen guys in their first start light it up.
34:21And then as it kind of transitions, it gets tougher and tougher.
34:24He is a guy, though, that can use his legs, right?
34:27And so he can extend plays when a rush is coming up.
34:30The offensive line hasn't played great. So I think that's an advantage to Jalen, the ability to do so.
34:36And with the receivers, I don't think I'm as low as you are on it because he does like to push the ball down the field.
34:43We saw him do that at Kansas. So I do think that they can get something going, especially because Baker hasn't been amazing.
34:49He's a believer. Okay. No, listen. I think he's a really interesting, again, because he gets you points with his legs, I think he was really interesting.
34:57He went for a lot of money in my Dynasty League this morning in terms of waivers.
35:01He was a popular pickup in every two-quarterback league that I'm in as well.
35:05So, I mean, I think there's potentially some fantasy value from Daniels, again, to your point of the legs.
35:10Like, someone suggested, I remember it was you, said Tyler Huntley, like a better Tyler Huntley would be a good comp for Jalen Daniels.
35:17What do you think about that? I think he runs a little bit better than Tyler, but sure, Tyler Huntley, pro bowler.
35:23Yeah, fair enough. Yes, Huntley is in fact a pro bowler here.
35:27All right, Beatle, who else is next? What else?
35:29What else? I've got Phil underscore 25. Okay. Are you selling neighbors for the best offer you can get right now, or
35:35are you staying the course with them? Yeah, I'm going to stay the course with them.
35:40I just feel like, look, Malik Neighbors is a superstar, and you're basically selling him at his lowest point, which is never ideal.
35:46So, two of the three games so far this season, 29% target share, it leads to 29% target share for Malik Neighbors as well.
35:53I think the dud last week, partially due to, you know, weather.
35:56They're going to fix this, right? I will tell you, like, if you listen to Fantasy Football Happy Hour in the preseason,
36:02we had Stefania Bell on to talk about kind of the biggest injury concerns, and she spent a lot of time talking
36:08about Malik Neighbors and that she was worried about a slow start to the season for Malik as he came back from
36:14not just one, but two very serious injuries. And so, look, we know he's going to get a massive target share.
36:20We know that John Harbaugh is trying to address this passing game, making the trade for J.J.
36:25McCarthy as well. So, like, either Winston's going to get better or they're going to go to J.J.
36:30Doesn't necessarily mean that all of a sudden Malik Neighbors' fantasy prospects are going to skyrocket, but again, we've seen Isaiah likely be productive in this offense.
36:37I think they'll be able to move the ball.
36:40Malik Neighbors is just too good and gets too much of a target share that I want to bail on him at his lowest point.
36:47I don't mind trading him at some point, but at least wait until you get a good game here.
36:52I'm with you. If anything, I would buy low.
36:54If you have an opportunity to do so, especially coming off a bad weather game where I think everyone's kind of low
37:00on him, you're coming off the knee, we know how that really affected him mentally.
37:05Like, he just felt like he wasn't ready and now you're getting game after game of repetition and experience and he's feeling like his old self again.
37:12The question is, can Jameis get him the ball as consistent as possible?
37:16We know he's the most talented wide receiver on this roster, so I certainly wouldn't sell at this point when in theory,
37:22you can make the argument this is probably the lowest value he's going to be all season.
37:27Yeah. Okay, I love this next one. Shuck around and find out asks and I'm going to appreciate this answer as well.
37:33How long should I stick with Justin Herbert, Omarion Hampton, Ladd McConkie, and other Chargers offensive fantasy players before benching them or just cutting bait altogether?
37:40Yeah. Shuck around and find out is one of the all-time good names there.
37:44Right, exactly. There's a lot of puns you can make with the word shuck, Beetle.
37:48Really? Yeah. Aim four. Yeah, you can... Oh, shuck?
37:50Oh, shuck. Shuck you. Oh, wow. Are you shucking kidding?
37:53You know, like... Shuckinator? Yeah, I mean, like, you know...
37:56That's definitely not one. Have you... You know, can you believe how many shucking beavers there are at the zoo?
38:01I almost said one that was going to be horrible.
38:04You know what? Let's just get out of this.
38:07what was the one you were going to say?
38:09Because the first part was bad, so it's not like...
38:12I can't keep it moving. No, I meant I was appreciative of the question because I have two of the gentlemen that
38:18he has asked about and I am on pins and needles for this answer.
38:22You were in Sharknado 4, so right there. That is true.
38:25I think you understand what a pun is. Yeah.
38:27That was bad. That was brutal. That was pretty...
38:30That was bad. That was not good. I'll explain in the break.
38:33Yeah, thank you. By the way, that's another segment we should do.
38:37Thanks, Beetle explains to Mo in the break. You'd be amazed.
38:40All right, so here we go. So the answer is...
38:42Okay, so here's my answer. No, no, no, no.
38:45no. Like, so, listen, I'm sticking with McConkie. Listen, he's my wide receiver 28 this week.
38:49I've been to the top 30 play. Probably still...
38:52I'm hoping they figure it out with Hampton, but that's about it.
38:55Hampton and Lad McConkie. I've happened at running back 24.
38:58He's like a touchdown dependent flex. It's been bad, and we're seeing Keaton Mitchell's usage go up, and we're seeing Hampton's go down.
39:04So, but in terms of just cutting bait, like, if Hampton and Lad McConkie were in the waiver wire in any league, I would be like, I'm...
39:12They're too talented, and the potential for the role was too great.
39:15I would immediately jump on them. If I saw QJ in a league, in a one quarterback league, I don't know that I'm jumping on Justin Herbert.
39:23So, I don't mind cutting Herbert, QJ, or even Gadson.
39:25This week, I have QJ at wide receiver 62, Gadson at tight end 22, and Herbert outside my top 20 at quarterback as well.
39:32So, that's sort of my answer there. I do think...
39:35I'm still holding out hope and hanging the light on for McConkie and Hampton because of the talent and because of the
39:41potential big role in that offense, but the rest of them you're just sort of like...
39:45Especially, again, as we've talked about their schedule, at Seattle this week, home to Denver, at Kansas City, bye, play the Rams.
39:51I would say, of that group, I would be least mad at cutting Justin.
39:55God, it's crazy. Because, you know, the turnovers I don't think are going to help, and I don't think he's going to be terribly efficient.
40:02And he's not running. Again, and he's not running.
40:05It's so weird. It's like I said this all last week.
40:08The guy I like... Yeah, you're right. So weird.
40:10You don't know his ball. You're right. The guy I like the most is Ladd because...
40:15Beal does no ball. Even if the quarterback's not efficient, and if he's turning the ball over, you're still going to get
40:21targets, and you're still going to get receptions. And I think you're the primary weapon in this offense.
40:26And you're going to be playing from behind. Yes.
40:28So, of that group, I would prefer Ladd, and then, like you said, the Keaton Mitchell thing, that scares me a lot
40:34in terms of getting the running game going. By the way, nice restraint on not making a joke after playing from behind.
40:41I would never. That's below me, below my station.
40:43It really isn't. I've known you for a long time.
40:46It really isn't. Don't worry. That's right in your wheelhouse.
40:49It's all right here. All right. What's next? A, Parides, or Parides, 305 asks, drop Marshawn Lloyd to pick up either Raylan Allen or Ollie Gordon.
40:56Full PPR. Yes. Go. Yes. Yes. I mean, like, I mean, the answer is yes.
41:00I just, again, going back to the thing, like, I always think, I always think about it like this.
41:05If Marshawn Lloyd, like, whenever I have a question about, like, should I drop this player or not?
41:10I always think, like, well, if this player were available as a free agent in my league, am I trying to pick him up?
41:17If Marshawn Lloyd was a free agent in a league where I didn't have him, am I trying to go get a
41:23guy who's part of a three-head committee on a team that can't run the ball and has a bad defense so he's
41:29going to be in pass script all the time and then you like Chris Brooks in that role a lot better?
41:35No. I have Marshawn Lloyd at running back 44 this week.
41:38Braylon Allen, Braylon Allen, I think, is going to be a top 20-ish running back as long as Brees Hall is out.
41:44So it's smart, but like, especially if you need a win this week or the next couple weeks, I certainly prefer Braylon
41:50Allen who's my running back 23 this week and I have Ollie Gordon at 33.
41:54Again, we talked about this Mo yesterday where we don't know necessarily that this Dolphins offense is going to be, it's not going to be great.
42:01Devon Achan was running back 21 through two weeks.
42:04Like, it's not like, you know, they suddenly went off and Ollie Gordon's going to be a worse version of Achan because
42:10he's not going to get nearly the workload. You're going to see some Jalen Wright.
42:14But I'll just, you know, I think he's got, Ollie Gordon's got a better shot at a touchdown than Marshawn Lloyd does.
42:20That's for sure. For sure. I'm with you on both definitely in the short term.
42:24Yeah. My question is, does Brees Hall coming back in a few weeks, does that factor into this decision?
42:30And if so, would you stick with Braylon Allen even with Brees Hall over Marshawn Lloyd?
42:34Yeah, I think so. Okay. Because Marshawn Lloyd, at least at the moment, is a committee running back on a team that can't run the ball.
42:41Braylon Allen will be a committee running, I mean, it's still going to be Brees Hall, but Braylon Allen, like, Braylon Allen
42:47will get eight to ten touches a game, and so he won't be ranked highly, but in a world where Brees Hall
42:54is active, can I see scenarios where I would have Braylon Allen ranked ahead of Marshawn Lloyd even if Brees Hall's out there?
43:00And the answer is yes because they do like Braylon Allen at the goal line.
43:04So again, you're, and so far, nothing we've seen through three weeks makes you think like, oh yeah, that's the Marshawn Lloyd we've been waiting on.
43:11And I think the offense as a unit, if it's close, I would err on just a better offense too and a better offensive line.
43:18Which is crazy that the Jets are the answer there and not the, the Packers can't block.
43:23I mean, it's been tough, right? I like this.
43:25Bradley, just Bradley. Okay. Asks, should I trade downs for a Dunzey?
43:29Full PPR. It depends on the league. It didn't say whether it's a, you know, dynasty league or a redraft league.
43:35My guess is no. To be perfectly honest, like, I just feel like, look, if you're strong at wide receiver, it depends
43:41on, like, do I need somebody to start this week or am I just trying to fortify bench depth?
43:46Because I think that basically downs is the better floor play.
43:49Dunzey has more upside, right? So, generally speaking, I'm probably sticking with downs, right?
43:53Much better short-term outlook, I think, from both a target and fantasy production standpoint.
43:57No Alec Pierce. It's just, basically just him, Keenan Allen and Tyler Warren.
44:00They play the commanders this week. It's the London game.
44:03Should be great. But a Dunzey, as we talked about, when Caleb Williams comes back, like, there's a chance that a Dunzey could explode.
44:10Yes. There's a guy that was a top 10 overall pick in the NFL draft at one point.
44:15Like, we like the talent quite a bit. I think he's a more talented NFL wide receiver than Josh Downs.
44:20But in terms of potential for fantasy production, in the short term it's definitely Downs and potentially long term again depending on
44:26when Caleb gets back and they have a lot of mouths to feed in Chicago.
44:31Yeah, I mean, that's definitely right. I agree with you.
44:33In the short term, Josh Downs, one million percent.
44:36I mean, if my wide receiver too is tied for oldest age in the NFL and Josh Downs is one of the
44:42most rising stars there in the slot, I believe saw a stat with his win percentage as well.
44:47It seems like he just gets so much separation.
44:49We know the run game is going to be successful.
44:52They're going to do a good job in the play action.
44:55So, very, very high on Josh Downs. Odunze, again, long term play.
44:59When Caleb comes back loves to stretch the field vertically, Ben Johnson's going to script incredible plays for him and get him open.
45:05So, yeah, it just kind of depends on the situation for me.
45:08This is our last question of the day, BG33.
45:11And by the way, of all the questions, this one feels like I could feel his tension here.
45:16Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a dynasty question. If you're a contender and you have a young player in a bad offensive situation, what do you do?
45:23I don't want to trade away five or more plus potential years of production.
45:27I also don't want to waste a season in contention either.
45:30I can feel the stress. Yeah, I mean, I don't, I think it's too early to answer that question to be perfectly honest.
45:37Like, we're through three weeks. Like, again, most dynasty leagues don't have a trade deadline or if they do, it's like week 12, 13, 14, somewhere in there.
45:44That's when you get closer. Like, again, I think it's too early to make a, I'm going for a trade in week three.
45:51It's also too early to be like, I'm bailing on the season.
45:54If you definitely know you're bailing on it, that's right.
45:57But like, you're sitting here, the question, BG, is if you're a contender and have a young player in a bad offensive situation, what do you do?
46:04I just think if you're a contender, you'll know further on.
46:07You'll have a better sense of the player as the season goes on.
46:11You'll have a better sense of your needs. By the way, I just don't like trading a chip like that here in
46:17week three because, again, like, you probably felt really good if you had Devon Achan a week ago and now all of
46:23a sudden if you were a contender. By the way, I'm a contender.
46:27In my dynasty league, I'm in a dynasty league with producer Damian and a bunch of my buddies from ESPN, like, you
46:33know, Field Yates and Mike Clay and all those guys.
46:36long time, and I'm a contender in that league.
46:38I lost in the finals last year to Daniel Dopp.
46:41And Devon Achan is one of my centerpieces and I just lost him for the season.
46:45So my point being is that now I'm a contender.
46:48Now do I need to go out and find another running back?
46:51Can I have Ali Gordon and Jalen Wright so I'm going to wait to sort of see as well.
46:57But, like, you just, you never know. There's so many injuries.
47:00That's a trade chip you may need later. So it's just, it's too early right now after three weeks to be making,
47:06you know, going for it Are you in the dynasty league, Mo?
47:09I'm not, actually. It's fun. Yeah, it sounds fun, especially like with buddies and it kind of just stays consistent.
47:15Throughout the years, yeah. Do you have any young guys that you would consider on your team?
47:19Like, do you have an example of something like this that might work?
47:23Yeah, I mean, Devon Achan is actually a perfect example, right?
47:26Like, that's a chip that I'm thinking about dealing now because, like, he's out for the year.
47:31So, but he's still a young player. He's a young player in a bad offensive environment.
47:35We think he will be good. He has been good, but he's obviously no use to me this year.
47:40Would that be selling low? No, because I think that for a team in my league that is rebuilding, like, you're selling
47:46a little bit low but, like, you know, if you need production, like, your window to win in dynasty are usually, it's a fairly small window.
47:54So, so that's one of the considerations I'm having just to answer your question about my dynasty league is that, should I trade?
48:00Should I go to a team that is rebuilding and saying, like, would you be interested in Devon Achan who we know
48:06is a superstar player going to get a ton of work but he's not helping you this year?
48:11Most teams that are already playing for next year would prefer to do that because let me get something for a, for a bad player.
48:18Let me get something for an older player that's not going to help me win whereas Achan can candidly help me lose this year.
48:25I want a better draft pick next year and help me as I'm trying to rebuild.
48:29Right? Like, last year I traded Mike Evans, you know, like, I traded for Mike Evans because I was going for the title last year.
48:36I traded him actually with producer Ed. Producer Ed has one of the worst teams in the league.
48:41He's like, he was in a rebuilding year as well.
48:44There he is right now. Hold on. Hold on.
48:46We're running out of time. We've got to go to break.
48:49We've got to go to break. Matthew, how many times have you won this league?
48:54I, we have to, we have to get to break.
48:56How many times, Matthew? How many times have you won?
48:59I've been in the finals many times I've yet to come home with a championship.
49:03How many times have I won the league, Matthew?
49:06You've sadly won it twice. Wow. What? Yes. Do I love Ed more today?
49:10No, you hate him. Yeah, you're right. He's the most annoying fantasy player because he constantly is just like, why don't you just draft good players?
49:17That's what I do. That's how I feel. Can I ask you this one thing about dynasty?
49:22It sounds very committal. You have to commit to it.
49:24Do you not invite... And Beatle hates commitment to be clear.
49:27It's just as me out. I'm like, five years from now, I'm not a chance.
49:32Are there people that you have as friends but you're like, I can't bring you in here because I know you'll give up after a year?
49:39Have you not brought people in for that reason?
49:41Yes, yes, 100%. You would never invite Beatle. I was just about to say, yes, I have a friend like that or her name rhymes with Michelle Beatle.
49:49Yeah, I mean, 1,000%. You'd be terrible in a year.
49:52100%. You get bored too quickly. Five years from now?
49:55You said five years and I went, That's the idea of a dynasty league is that, again, you're rebuilding and you constantly have something to play for.
50:02You're either playing for this year or you're playing for next year.
50:05And so, again, you never want to be, the worst place to be in a dynasty league is like trying to go for fifth.
50:12Right? You either need to be fully tanking or fully going for it.
50:16And so, for BG, I don't think you're at that spot yet.
50:19You don't know yet after three weeks whether you're, it's too early to make a...
50:23To just marinate BG. Yeah, to trade a young asset for an older player with production.
50:28You should do a dynasty league. That's my advice to you.
50:31No, not less. Let's do a show dynasty. Did he not hear me?
50:34No, yeah, you're young. You'll have many years ahead of you.
50:37I have time ahead of you. We'll be back with Last Call.
50:41We're going to be lucky. I could be dead before the end of this show.
50:45If Beatles here in January, we'll be, that's like the overall cash.
50:48It's just here next week. Truer words. Back with Last Call today.
50:51Taking a look at the old NFL MVP market.
50:54Trying to make our picks right now. Look, mine's boring and it's, I don't mean to be because here are your odds
51:00and the odds on favorite is the perfect man, Josh Allen.
51:03So I picked him, but I would have picked him regardless.
51:06You would choose the favorite. Well, he can do no wrong.
51:09No wrong in my eyes, quite frankly. No, and by the way, he can do no wrong in my eyes either.
51:15Like, take a shot of Mo real quickly. Can you, there we go.
51:19No, pull out. Can we pan out a little bit?
51:21I just want to pan out. Keep panning out.
51:24Here we go. Here we go. There we go.
51:26Look who's over the shoulder of Mo. Of Mo.
51:29Yeah, Josh Allen, proud fantasy life investor. Josh Allen, number one quarterback in fantasy football, Josh Allen.
51:33Can do no wrong, Josh Allen. Has a movie star wife, still produces on the field.
51:38Can't say that. She's also a singer. Singer, movie star.
51:41He's got a, he's got a beautiful celebrity wife and he still manages to produce on the field.
51:46You can't say that about every superstar quarterback. I'm just going to say that.
51:50So anyway, Josh Allen, that's Beatles pick. I like the pick.
51:53There's a reason why he's the favorite. Yeah. He is always the MVP.
51:56My pick here though, I'm going with Brock Purdy, the guy that I talked about at the top of the show.
52:02I like the odds at, you know, at plus 425.
52:05Look, 3-0 leads the NFL with 133 passer rating.
52:07Leads the NFL and EPA per drop back. More than twice, Josh Allen's rate, completing 72% of his passes.
52:13And you think about all the injuries to San Francisco, I think Brock Purdy, I think has a chance to win.
52:18The bar, I feel like MVP is also kind of a perception game.
52:22Yeah. And that there's, there's a perception here that Josh Allen, well, he's so good.
52:26It's all, you know what I mean? Like Josh, Josh Allen actually has a higher bar to clear, to impress people because they're already so impressed.
52:33Whereas I think people are finally coming around to the fact like, oh, oh, Brock Purdy's not a system quarterback.
52:39Oh, oh, Brock Purdy's actually really good. It's a good story, but you mentioned injuries.
52:43I don't see how that's a net positive. At some point, that's going to affect you.
52:47If you're missing, you're starting left tackle and your biggest wide receiver on the outside, you know, long enough term, that's going
52:54to affect your stats, which is why. But if he can, but if he can overcome them, that's why.
52:59Sure, yeah, if you can overcome them, then sure, it adds to the story.
53:03But I'm saying it's going to be a significant drop off in your stats more so than it is a good story.
53:09Speaking of stats, Lamar Jackson. Sure. I've heard of him.
53:12I think it's better value, especially at plus 600.
53:14I agree with you though. If the season ended today, Brock Purdy deserves the trophy, but we're going to project outward to a 17 game schedule.
53:21The way he is playing right now, especially in situational football, we know that this award's going to go towards the quarterback with a good record.
53:28I think they have a good defense as well.
53:31I also think he has a chip on his shoulder.
53:34Remember he got ranked 69th in the top 100 coming to it?
53:37He said 69. That's disrespectful, right? The last time that happened.
53:40It is actually true. 2023, he got ranked 72nd.
53:43What did he do after that? He said, I'm going to win MVP.
53:46Guess what? He had number two rankings in back-to-back years after that.
53:50He's also got a man named Derrick Henry in the backfield with him, and Zay Flowers is playing the best football of his life.
53:56So he's got everything around him to win this MVP.
53:59He's going for number three. Yeah, I don't have an issue with that.
54:03I mean, Lamar is awesome. Like, looks like a new man.
54:06I'm with you. That motivation was real. By the way, the two times that Aaron Rodgers was left out of the top
54:1210 overall, he went out and won the MVP the next year overall.
54:15So the fact that Lamar Jackson inexplicably was ranked 69th in the top 100 players is like kind of an insane ranking.
54:21But again, Moe, to your point, like you got to stay healthy.
54:25And so my concern is, again, like Zay Flowers has already been banged up.
54:29Jacoby Lane is on IR. He does have Derrick Henry as well.
54:32So I like Lamar. I think he's awesome. But health will be an issue.
54:36But he doesn't have a substation next to his practices.
54:39He does not have a substation. If I never hear substation again, it'd be all right.
54:43You'll hear it tomorrow. You're going to hear it the entire year.
54:46You're going to hear the whole thing. I don't want to hear it anymore.
54:50Hey, please join our Discord. Discord? Yeah. I'm going to explain it.
54:54Maybe that'll be a segment tomorrow where I make Beatle download Discord and I show it to her.
54:59Oh, I have to download? Oof, I'm out. I have to download something?
55:02Anyway, all right. Is it like Reddit? A little bit, but it's like you can live comment on it.
55:07Okay, I like it. Moe, I'm sorry. She's an old.
55:10It is, it is, it is. All right, that's going to do it for a happy hour.
55:15Listen, it's closing time, which means you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.
55:20Get out of here. Pregame with Matthew Berry. We'll be here live on the Roku Sports Channel at noon Eastern and then yeah.
