A.J. Brown

PositiveValue36:43

Matthew Berry and BenchwarmerBran view AJ Brown as a top-10 wide receiver and a strong late-second-round value. Despite being on a new team, his consistent 25-28% target share over the last six seasons and his role as the clear WR1 in New England make him a high-upside pick, even if he has lost a step, due to his red-zone usage.

Insight page

Cam Ward

PositiveProjection11:54

BenchwarmerBran believes there is nowhere to go but up for Cam Ward and the Titans offense.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveSleeper50:36

BenchwarmerBran highlights Carnell Tate as a seventh-round sleeper, arguing that he is being discounted due to recent rookie receiver busts. Tate is expected to command a large target share in an aggressive passing offense led by Cam Ward, with Brian Daboll calling plays.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

NegativeDepth Chart38:16

Matthew Berry suggests Chris Rodriguez could be passed on the depth chart, noting that there is too much buzz surrounding him out of camp, which often signals potential disappointment.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveBreakout54:19

Matthew Berry ranks Colston Loveland as his TE3, placing him in the elite tier with Brock Bowers and Trey McBride. Loveland posted a 90 utilization score over his final 10 games and showed high red-zone efficiency. Berry believes the Bears' offense is now the 'Colston Loveland show' under Ben Johnson.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveProjection40:03

BenchwarmerBran expects George Kittle to bounce back nicely despite the scary Achilles injury, projecting he still has a few years of elite production remaining.

Insight page

Gunnar Helm

PositiveRole11:39

BenchwarmerBran expresses excitement for Gunner Helm in the Titans offense, jokingly noting he expects him to run seam routes.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveProjection51:57

Matthew Berry selects Ja'Marr Chase as his Offensive Player of the Year pick at 10-to-1 odds, banking on a fully healthy Bengals offense and a bounce-back year for Joe Burrow.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveProjection51:27

BenchwarmerBran identifies Jahmyr Gibbs as his Offensive Player of the Year, citing the departure of David Montgomery, an easy schedule, and a perfect storm of circumstances for high production.

Insight page

James Conner

NegativeBust13:46

BenchwarmerBran suggests that James Connor's time as a fantasy-relevant asset is over, despite his presence on the Cardinals roster.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveBreakout12:49

BenchwarmerBran identifies Jeremiah Love as a breakout candidate, noting that despite a gross situation in Arizona, historical data for top-10 drafted rookie RBs suggests an RB1 finish is highly probable. He prefers Love over Kyron Williams due to pass-catching upside and projected volume.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeUsage32:25

Matthew Berry notes that while Keaton Mitchell will see some work in the offense, he is not built for a massive workload and has never historically held one, making him a secondary piece rather than a threat to the lead back.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeBust49:02

Matthew Berry and BenchwarmerBran express strong frustration with Kyle Pitts, noting that he was highly touchdown-dependent last year and that those who have drafted him previously are likely to avoid him.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeDepth Chart39:16

Matthew Berry confirms Kyler Murray is officially the starting quarterback for the Vikings, noting that the team was never enamored with JJ McCarthy and actively sought a veteran starter to lead the offense.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeValue16:08

Matthew Berry ranks Kyron Williams as RB15, placing him slightly behind Jeremiah Love (RB13) in his current rankings.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeRole39:33

BenchwarmerBran views Mark Andrews as a speculative veteran tight end who could provide a solid floor due to his red zone role and rapport with Lamar Jackson, though he remains nervous about the offense under Declan Doyle.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveProjection38:34

Matthew Berry highlights Quinshon Judkins as having the best potential to double his touchdown total compared to others on the list, expressing confidence in the Browns' offense and coordinator Todd Monken.

Insight page
PositiveValue60:41

BenchwarmerBran and Matthew Berry agree that Quinchon Judkins is the best fantasy option among the second-year running back trio (Judkins, Henderson, Tootin). Judkins is projected to receive the most work and has the highest touchdown upside, making him a reliable floor play for teams that draft wide receivers early.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

PositiveUsage40:37

BenchwarmerBran notes that Rashee Rice has effectively taken over the middle-of-the-field option route role from Travis Kelce, demonstrating more juice and explosiveness.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveRole38:10

Matthew Berry notes that Rhamondre Stevenson has a secure role in the Patriots offense, citing the high level of trust Mike Vrabel has in him, which makes him a much safer bet than other backfield competitors.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

NegativeUsage41:48

Matthew Berry argues that while Travis Kelce is not the player he once was, underlying metrics suggest he remains viable, and he expects a bounce-back year for the Chiefs offense.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

PositiveInjury18:34

Matthew Berry notes that recent reports suggest Zach Charbonnet is healthier than previously anticipated, potentially impacting his availability for the start of the season.

0:51It is noon on YouTube, but it is 5 o'clock somewhere, which means, of course, the bar is open at its fantasy football happy hour.
0:58I am your faithful bartender, Matthew Barry, and joining me today on the show, this guy's story is incredible.
1:04You know him, his name is Brandon Carney, but you know him as Benchwarmer Brand.
1:08Look at him right there, wearing a hat so you can't tell that he's bald like I am.
1:13The secret show. And you actively went bald, which I think is a bold choice.
1:17Like my guys are jumping off the ship. They're daring me to fire them before they quit on me.
1:23But you actively went bald. If anyone sees your videos.
1:25So you have a million followers on TikTok. You have half a million on Instagram.
1:30You have 600,000 on YouTube. And yet you are not attractive at all.
1:33That's what I think is really impressive. Most of the people I see with large followings.
1:38My mom would disagree. I don't know that she would.
1:41Everyone loves their child. But you know, like I'm just saying not everyone, you know, if she's being honest, Brandon, what she
1:47would say is you were smart and you were funny.
1:50But well, listen, it speaks my ability to be able to get to this point while being, you know, just, you know,
1:56a seven out of 10 rather than a nine, you know?
1:59That is. Yeah. Damien Vigona says no way. Top tier skits on TikTok.
2:03This guy is great. All caps. He's screaming it from the rooftops.
2:06People do love you. They really do love you.
2:08I don't know if they relate to the fact that you, you did actively go ball that you, that you, you know, don't seem particularly athletic.
2:16But they do seem to really relate to you in a way that is incredible.
2:20All jokes aside, what you have, what you've accomplished, you are a production assistant, a PA at ESPN, which when you're a
2:26PA for the people who don't know, when you are a production assistant, you are, you are Xeroxing copies.
2:31You are delivering scripts. You are delivering scripts. You are getting lunch sometimes.
2:35You are a grunt. You are a, you are the, the lowest of the low.
2:39And I can say this because I was a production assistant on, you know, on many shows.
2:44I, I've talked about this before. My very first job when I moved to Hollywood out of Syracuse, go Cuse by the
2:50way, um, out of Syracuse was I became a production assistant for the George Carlin show on Fox, which meant I was George Carlin's assistant for years.
2:58So you went from being a production assistant, a gopher, uh, you know, a runner, if you will, to now over 2 million followers on social media.
3:05Tell me, um, tell me real quick as Martin's world says each day, the guests keep getting better and better.
3:11I appreciate that Martin's world. I'm going to get Lance, you answer the question real quickly, but Brandon, I didn't want to do a show.
3:18I'm just going to real quickly. I, as we're doing happy hour and we're launching a new version of happy hour and
3:24we'll get Jay in here and Connor and Lawrence will be back as well.
3:28And like, you know, all the, all the faces, you know, and love, but, um, we are trying, I'm trying to get
3:34a bunch of different voices and, and, and mix it up for you guys and not just do the same old typical.
3:41There's a lot of fantasy podcasts out there and a lot, there, a lot of them are great.
3:46They do great work, no shade, but I feel like it's, you see a lot of the same faces, um, as well.
3:52So, um, upcoming guests real quickly tomorrow, we've got Adam Levitan, who I think is fantastic.
3:56Does an absolutely great job over there at ETR.
3:59And then on Thursday, Scott Turner, the former offensive coordinator of the commanders, former offensive coordinator of the Las Vegas Raiders, son
4:05of Norv, former passing game coordinator for the jets and many NFL teams.
4:09Scott Turner is going to come by on Thursday and break everything down for us.
4:13So I'm very excited about the guests, but let's start with you.
4:16Bench warmer brand. How do you go from being a guy getting scripts to over 2 million followers on social media?
4:22Yeah, no, it's a, this is not where I thought I would end up, uh, by any stretch of the imagination.
4:28I mean, I grew up messing around with like YouTube and content and stuff like that.
4:33Um, but how did I go from a PA to here?
4:36I mean, it was really like, I knew I wanted to do sports media in college, you know, dating all the way
4:42back to probably high school, even middle school. I knew I wanted to do something in sports.
4:47So I went that route. I tried to do like the anchor reporter thing in college.
4:51And then, you know, you need a job out of college.
4:54Right. So eventually I end up as a, as a PA at ESPN, just happy to work in sports in general.
5:00And it really came when COVID hit and they were like, Hey, you know, nobody knew what was happening with sports.
5:06So ESPN was basically like, look, we got to keep all these grunt PAs employed because sports could come back tomorrow and
5:12we need people to work on them. We have no idea what's going to happen.
5:16Essentially what that left me with was like four to five months of time to do whatever I wanted to do because we didn't actually have any work.
5:24And we were lucky enough to still be being paid full time at that point.
5:28So I'm just like, okay, how am I gonna fill my time?
5:32And I miss being on camera and tick tock was starting to like pop off at that point.
5:37Everybody's locked up in their house. Everybody's scrolling social media.
5:40And I was like, I have the skill set to do this.
5:43Like I know how to be funny. I know how to be on camera.
5:47I know how to edit maybe most importantly. So I kind of just meshed all those skills.
5:52I was like, honestly, not doing something with that combination of skills would be a waste of an opportunity, especially with the time I've been granted.
5:59And tick tock with the way the algorithms worked at that point and still work is like as long as you're making
6:05good stuff, you don't really need a following to blow up and then you will gain the following after that.
6:11But it used to be like old days of YouTube.
6:14You kind of needed to like grind it out and like, you know, build up a small audience and then you get
6:20the bigger audience and whatever tick tock. You can kind of go zero to 100 really fast.
6:25At least you could back then. I think you still can.
6:28So, yeah, it kind of just it all worked out.
6:31It was all a perfect storm of circumstances for me.
6:33You'll need to give me some advice on YouTube.
6:36I think I got 5,000 followers on my on my YouTube channel.
6:39Okay. Well, I mean, I launched last week, so you know, it's not terrible, which I'm happy about this.
6:45Yeah. Tim the spit says my question for brand is when did you join the Titans coaching staff?
6:50I mean, you kind of got a Brian Dayball thing going there brand.
6:53What's a little bit a little bit. Yeah. Yeah.
6:56They want to bring me in. I'm happy to call some plays.
6:59I can't promise that it'll be anything other than Gunner Helm seam routes, but I'm happy to do that.
7:05I'm very excited about Gunner Helm this year. Actually, I think and I sneakily think I think I think Wanda Robinson, you
7:11know, I think him words got to be going to be better.
7:14I think he's like anyway, you know, I mean, I just like, you know, nowhere to go but up.
7:19I think for cam Ward and the Titans offense, but so we know how you you know you so you sort of
7:26started you just you grind that content. You made it sound a lot easier than I think it actually is Brandon, which
7:32I which I appreciate, you know, I mean, but you're right about the the ability like you.
7:37It's not just about that. You were putting out good content, but you're putting a good content consistently that obviously, you know,
7:43struck a chord with a bunch of different people.
7:45And you mentioned, you know, you're good at editing.
7:48I'm not good at editing. I'm not good at editing my written work.
7:51I'm not good at editing, you know anything honestly.
7:54So hats off to you, but the other thing so we know how you kind of blew up on social media and
8:00you still are everyone follow him at Bench Warner brand.
8:03Although I think everyone already is following you, but tell me a little bit about your fantasy bona fides because when you
8:09and I met for the first time, I knew about your skits.
8:13I had watched you. I follow you on all social media platforms, but I didn't realize that you were you're a degenerate when it comes to fantasy football.
8:20Yeah, yeah, I am. I mean, I've been playing it since 2010, I think was my first season at that point.
8:26So I mean, I'm 13 or 14 at that point.
8:29Can't do math. Yeah, I think fantasy football really is what like projected or propelled me into this career path because that's
8:35what made me fall in love with just the NFL as a whole.
8:39I was just a Patriots fan when I first got into things didn't know anything about the rest of the league and
8:45then my eyes get open to this thing called fantasy football.
8:48My first ever pick is Andre Johnson in a random ESPN public league.
8:52I go on to actually win that league not that winning public leagues is probably that hard because I'm sure half the owners at that point.
8:59I don't remember this far back, but we're probably inactive by week six.
9:03But, you know, that said, I'm like that season went worse.
9:06Maybe I wouldn't have fallen in love with it as much.
9:09But I had so much fun with it that I was like, you know, I fell in love with the NFL.
9:15And that really if if nothing else was going to like that really pushed me into the sports media space here and
9:21like being like, I know this is what I want to do for a job.
9:25I know I want to turn what I like into something I can do for work.
9:30And yeah, it's just been it's been fantasy football, you know, addiction for the last 16 years or so.
9:35Yeah, Tim sharply says unfiltered independent Barry got to love it.
9:38Yeah, I just dropped an F bomb. I didn't mean to but you know what and I don't care about cursing.
9:44I curse a lot in my personal life candidly, but I I remember last year, you know, on my on my old
9:50show or whatever on this show previously we would talk about our league.
9:54We call it the League of a holes and I am as SEC man says that should be a fantasy team name.
10:00Absolutely effing degenerates, but you know what I got it.
10:03I got a couple of emails or or you know DMS from fathers who said, you know, I listen to the show with my kids in the car.
10:11And you know when when you say like a hole or whatever and so whatever it's small thing, but I'm not going
10:17to suddenly go hard hard cursing, but it will slip out occasionally because yes, I be our after dark.
10:22Unfiltered uncensored. That's right. That's right. Yeah, I may or may not be wearing pants Brandon.
10:27Just leave it at that my regular podcast co host says that literally every show and the more disturbing part of that
10:33is that he's usually seated right next to me.
10:36And so I'm like you're wearing pants and stop trying to suggest that you're not but yes very common sentiment.
10:41Wow. So I mean like we've found that we found the audience for for bald brain.
10:46Yeah, it's a it's your buddy that you host brand coverage with how many leagues are you in right now?
10:51I'm sorry to lose track. There's too many dynasty leagues.
10:54I think for this upcoming season, I'm set to be between dynasty and redraft leagues in probably eight or nine leagues.
11:00I think that is a lot. I think I'm closing in on 30.
11:04We got to get you into it. We got to get you into a guillotine league.
11:08Um, uh, Medici, uh, Jonathan Medici back. Good to see you Medici 50 50 that berries wearing pants right now.
11:14The real unfiltered Barry. Absolutely. Producer Damien demanded is in his rider when he came over from NBC is he's like no pants, brother.
11:21I said, I got you big D. All right.
11:23Um, uh, have we got to get you into a guillotine league?
11:26It's up. It's back. It's free. The app is so much better than it was last year.
11:31The website guillotine leagues.com join a league join for free.
11:34Um, and, uh, if you're in a league, if you're in a state where you can do a real money gaming where
11:40you can, you know, uh, play for money on guillotine leagues, we're not taking any fee.
11:45So everything that you enter goes into the prize pool.
11:48It's, you know, a lot of sites, basically they take a fee off the top.
11:52So you're not playing for the entire price pool at guillotine leagues.
11:55That's not the case with us. Uh, no fee off the top, uh, at the moment.
12:00All right. Uh, we are now to the, the subject today.
12:03Bench warmer brand is breakout candidates. Guy and let's define before we get into it, let's define what a breakout candidate is.
12:09These are not unknowns. These are not like deep sleepers.
12:12These are known quantities, but these are players that we think take the next step, whatever that is.
12:17If it's a wide receiver too, we think they become a wide receiver one.
12:21If it's a rookie, we think they immediately become, you know, higher, you know, around higher than their ADP or they, you
12:27know, if they're being drafted as an RB two, we think they become an RB one, et cetera, et cetera.
12:32Somebody that breaks out, that gets to a different level.
12:35They become, that gets into another tier, if you will.
12:38Right. And so I want to start with you and you've got a rookie running back as your first choice.
12:44Yeah. Yeah, I do. I'm a, it's a guy that the situation feels just so gross, but you just got to close
12:50your eyes, pinch your nose and dive in. And it's Jeremiah Love.
12:53I've said that to my wife all the time, by the way, just so you know.
12:58I can't tell you how many times. I'm sure more than she'd like to have heard it.
13:03A thousand percent. Honey, pinch your nose, close your eyes and just dive in.
13:06I understand it's gross, but you just got to get in there and, and it won't take long.
13:12Right. Yeah. You just, you got to get to the end and I promise it'll all be okay.
13:17No. Right. And that's how you feel about Jeremiah Love.
13:19Exactly. Exactly. Um, I I'm taking this as being the rookie, Jenty and Bijan kind of discount.
13:24Um, I think people are really cold on Jeremiah Love and look, I get it.
13:28The Cardinal situation is awful. They, their line looks terrible.
13:31They have a bunch of actually decent looking pass catchers that, you know, make it where you're worried that love's not going
13:37to get like this Devon H-Hand type of target share either.
13:40And they bring in Tyler Algier in the off season and James Connor is still alive against all odds.
13:46But at the end of the day, cut to James running backs.
13:49Well, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I love James Connor, but like it's, it's over.
13:53Let's give it up. Um, at the end of the day, these are the facts is that also things I've said to my wife.
14:00It's over. Let's give it up. Come on. Let's give it up.
14:03It's over. Um, also things you should say to your hair and join me.
14:07Um, these, these are the facts. Every running back drafted top 10 in the NFL draft since 2010 has finished.
14:13As an RB one, their rookie year that includes Ashton Jente last year, as gross as it felt.
14:18That includes B. John Robinson in the height of the Arthur Smith lunacy say Quan Barkley, Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffrey.
14:23It even includes Trent Richardson. The last time this didn't come true was CJ Spiller in, I believe it was 2009.
14:29Um, so like all, all the odds say that it's going to happen when teams spend this high of a pick on a running back.
14:36Like it says that they're probably going to use him quite a bit.
14:40And although the Cardinals GM is a little bit, I think delusional, he says their goal is to make the playoffs this year.
14:47This isn't a team that's like just totally saying we're out.
14:50Like we're, we're not even going to try. Obviously no team's going to say that, but like, this is a team.
14:55I feel like people are thinking the Cardinals are just going to fast forward to next season.
15:00Like jobs are jobs can still be on the line.
15:03If things go terrible, they're going to want to get their best player out there.
15:07I just think Jeremiah, I love the fact he's going in the third round with his historical floor based on these other
15:13rookie RB ones being, you know, basically floor of RB 11.
15:17Like what Jente did last year. You wouldn't have been that disappointed with Jente.
15:21If you got him in the third round last year, you're only disappointed because you took him in the first.
15:26So I think you just kind of got to, you got to grit your teeth and, and take them where he's going.
15:32I think that's actually a great point. I think that's the best point you make there right there, because I mean, look, we know the workload.
15:40I mean, here's a, here's a different stat that says the exact same thing you did, right?
15:44Which is since 2012, five of the eight running backs drafted inside the top 10 finished top seven in fantasy points per game.
15:51Again, you're saying same thing. It's just a slightly different stat, but it says the same thing, which is basically, Hey, um,
15:57when you have that kind of high level draft capital, you're going to get the rock a lot and you're going to ultimately probably produce a fantasy points.
16:05Um, uh, Brandon Garrett says, by the way, he's asking Kyron Williams or Jeremiah love.
16:09Who do you prefer? Oh boy. I do prefer Jeremiah love there.
16:12I think it would have been a little different if it was like last year and we were still able to bank
16:19on, you know, Blake Corum, not eating into that work as much.
16:22Um, I think Corum's coming along. So I will take Jeremiah love just with mainly for the past catching chops.
16:28And the fact that I do think they are, they're going to use him, but just a lot.
16:33I think, honestly, I think Jeremiah love probably has more touches than Kyron by the end of the year.
16:38Yeah. It's a, um, it's a, uh, it's a tough one here.
16:41I'm, I'm trying to, I don't have my ranks memorized.
16:44So I'm trying to figure out exactly where I have, um, Kyron Williams here.
16:48I'm having troubles with my internet. So I'm trying to pull up my, uh, pull up my ranks.
16:53Cause I, what will happen is I'll say like, Oh, I've got this guy at 17.
16:58And then I look at him like, Oh, actually, like, no, actually I do not have it.
17:03Um, I think I probably, I will say this, um, uh, that, um, uh, that I, so I have Jeremiah love at 13.
17:09I'm right there with you in consensus. He's going as 13.
17:12I'm at running birth 13. I'm at 25 overall.
17:15His ADP is, uh, is 25, but I do agree with you.
17:18I have him above Kyron Williams. I have Kyron Williams at 15.
17:21So I was able to, I didn't know how far below I had him, but I'm two spots below.
17:27So I think we're in the same, uh, area there as well.
17:30One thing I have said about, but to your point, I think the cost, the fact that you can get him for
17:36a mid third rounder versus where, you know, the reason you have, you were upset about Ash and genti last year, of course, is the, is the cost.
17:44So I think the third round discount here for Jeremiah love, I think he's priced appropriately and he's going as an RB two.
17:51I'm at RB 13, but he certainly has RB one upside.
17:54Um, if we think this offense under Lafleur is going to be better, they scored points last year.
17:59It was all in junk time, but they did score points last year.
18:02There is talent on that offense, whether it's Jacoby Brissett or we saw a future hall of famer, Carson Beck, obviously just
18:09looking ridiculous against the Panthers, but they're finishing their hall of fame, baby.
18:12There you go. Exactly. Jokes aside about Carson Beck.
18:15Like you're like, okay, good. Okay. So like this offense is going to be in competent hands, whoever's under center.
18:20And so, you know, like I think they're in a very tough division.
18:24The defense isn't great. Um, but they should be competitive enough that they can move the ball in scoring position as well.
18:30Medici says, I think price ends the season higher than love for best rookie RB.
18:34I disagree with that, uh, with that Jonathan Medici because we keep hearing reports that Zach Charbonnet is healthier than we think.
18:41I don't think he's there for week one, but the idea that Charbonnet might, might not be on, uh, you know, we
18:47might not see him till week 10 or whatever.
18:49It seems like that's out the window. Um, Brandon, I want to move over to my first breakout candidate here and look, I'm never wrong.
18:56I'm just early. Everyone knows this. Never wrong. Just early.
18:59Omari and Hampton last year's ride or die. Maybe this year's ride or die.
19:03Do I double down? We'll see that's coming up here soon, but you just think about the offensive line again.
19:09Um, last year, their offensive line was just completely decimated.
19:11So those guys are back healthy be it as who was with me with my commanders, Cole strange, Alec Ingold, they signed Charlie Kohler.
19:18Who's a great blocking tight end. The offensive line should be a lot stronger.
19:22Omari and Hampton should be healthier. Um, and Mike McDaniel.
19:25As the new offense coordinator, I believe is one of the best, if not the best run game coordinator in the league.
19:31And he made rounds yesterday. I don't know if you saw the clip on social where somebody asked him, Amari and Hampton, could he be an RB one?
19:39He's like, Oh, that sounds like fantasy question. Mike McDaniel press conferences for the wind, by the way, he's always great.
19:45But you know, he sort of set the community ablaze a little bit where he's just like, Oh, you know, you'll see some Keaton Mitchell.
19:52You'll see some, um, uh, you know, you'll see some Keaton Mitchell.
19:55You'll see some Kamani Vidal. And everyone's just like, Oh, well so much for the, you know, I think that's candidly insane.
20:01The truth of the matter is, is that, um, uh, Keaton Mitchell is not somebody that ever is going to get a massive workload.
20:08Right? He's just not, he's not going to get a big workload.
20:12He's not built that way. He's never had a big workload.
20:15Kamani Vidal was a guy that was on practice squads.
20:18He's Amari and Hampton is a first round talent.
20:20Stuntman Chuck says never trust a charger. I get it.
20:23I get it. Stuntman Chuck, but I'm in on Amari and Hampton.
20:26I am again. Um, uh, you know, so I think he has breakout potential here, uh, to be the guy that I
20:32thought he was going to be last year with a ride or die, given the offense, the coordinator and the talent here.
20:39Mitchell and Vidal will be, we'll get enough, but I think that quote from McDaniel may keep his ADP a little bit lower.
20:45You know, um, made people worried that he's going to be more of a committee.
20:49He's not going to be in a committee. I'm not worried about it.
20:53Amari and Hampton is going to touch the ball 17 to 20 times, 20 times a game.
20:58He's going to be just plenty. McDaniel. I remember in Miami, it was just like, Oh yeah, we want to use Ollie Gordon and stop it.
21:05Yeah. Stop it. Like we're going to have four co-starters at running back.
21:09And then it was just Devon H and and Raheem Mostert to his credit while, while he was still doing his thing, but you know, they can.
21:16And it's not going to be three guys. There's no way.
21:19No, no, exactly. So, uh, Amari and Hampton is my choice for a breakout.
21:23I know that you're a Patriots fan. I know that you're a homer.
21:27I know that you're a, you went to, you went to Yukon, right?
21:31I did. So yeah, I went to Syracuse, but my wife went to Yukon, so I can't hate on Yukon too much.
21:37You know, you know, I'm married. You married up.
21:39Good for you. Much smarter. If you've ever seen a picture of my wife, you have no idea how much I married.
21:45It's unbelievable. Same brother. Same. Massively. I'll kick my coverage.
21:48I've met your wife and I would agree with you by the way.
21:52Yeah. Yeah. Uh, there's no doubt you are. Um, uh, you and I are both, uh, well, I'll kicked our coverage.
21:58Um, so, but you're a Patriots fan, but is that why you, uh, is that why you're picking AJ Brown?
22:03Is this hope springs eternal? No, no, this isn't strictly a fandom based thing.
22:07This is a, the fit is just too perfect kind of thing.
22:11And I know predicting AJ Brown to break out when he's had multiple wide receiver one seasons in the past might not
22:17be the boldest of takes, but I think he's getting back to those days of like wide receiver, seven wide receiver five
22:23that he had and getting out of this, you know, semi purgatory of like wide receiver, 14 wide receiver, 18.
22:29I think the situation's gotten to a point where like people are almost bored or like desensitized by the fact that AJ
22:35Brown is on the Patriots because we heard about this trade that we knew was going to happen like two months before it happened.
22:42And then it happened. And now there's really been no like buzz or developments about it since, because why would there be?
22:48But to me, it's like, I know we're all waiting for, and we're chomping at the bit for news as we approached,
22:54you know, actual fantasy draft season here and like labor day weekend and drafts really heat up.
22:59But it's like, don't be bored of a situation that is just so obviously going to work.
23:04Like this is a guy that had to force his or he decided to force his way out of Philly specifically because
23:10he didn't like how he was being used. He didn't think, you know, it's I guess a little bit of speculation here,
23:16but he didn't think his quarterback was good enough to get him the ball consistently.
23:20Like the passing just wasn't good enough. And this, and this is the solution to fix that.
23:25Like he's going to this team because he's like, Hey, I want more targets.
23:29I want a better quarterback. And the Patriots are like, yeah, we can, we can do that for you.
23:34And now he's here. And the absolute worst case scenario for me to him is like, if he has lost a step,
23:40he's still going to be used in the red zone like crazy.
23:44Cause he's huge. He's a huge body. So even if he's not putting up 150 yards every week, like I just think
23:50it's, it's too perfect of a fit. It makes too much sense.
23:53Yeah. By the way, breaking news from the chat.
23:56E winky three 10 says no surprise Vikings named Kyler the starter officially.
23:59So, um, speaking of upgrades at quarterback, uh, you know, I don't know that there's anything to, um, really break down here
24:06real quickly on Kyler only that cause we've all assumed this anyone that watched a down a football last year or candidly
24:12talk to any member of the Viking staff at the combine were like, um, I don't know who our starting quarterback is
24:18this year, but I just know it's not JJ McCarthy.
24:21Like they're just, they were, they were not enamored with JJ McCarthy.
24:24They actively went out. They actively went out and, um, uh, got, uh, got a starting quarterback and they, they talked about
24:30at the comment, how they're like, we want a veteran.
24:33We don't want just some sort of like, we don't want Carson Wentz type, you know, that, that, that we want somebody
24:39that's truly going to threaten and make JJ McCarthy go.
24:42Oh, oh, oh, they're for real. And so Kyler Murray, I think all the rankings have baked in the idea that Kyler
24:48Murray is going to start for the Vikings back to AJ Brown real quickly here.
24:53Uh, brand look, I'm with you targets are earned, right?
24:55This is one of the things we talk about all the time in fantasy football targets are earned, right?
25:01And so for four straight years, he's had at least 28% target share.
25:04He's had six straight seasons above 25%. He's the best wide receiver on the Patriots.
25:09And he does have the proverbial chip on his shoulder.
25:11To your point, I want to prove to everyone that I'm not the malcontent.
25:15That's reading a book on the sideline. I'm not, I wasn't the problem in Philadelphia.
25:20It was Jalen hurts. So I'm going to go there.
25:22I'm going to be on best behavior. If this is a proven year for him.
25:27And obviously you think about Drake may who had such a monstrous year last year with wide receivers that were not nearly as good as AJ Brown.
25:34So, um, uh, Jay Woogie says I would take AJ Brown for the right value.
25:38What is that though? I mean, I'll tell you that I have it wide receiver eight.
25:43I have it 21. So I have him as a, you know, as a late second rounder.
25:48Um, I have him as a top 10 wide receiver here, brand.
25:51I don't know if you do ranks or where you personally have them, but you know, are you comfortable with him at the end of the second round?
25:59Are you come, if you go running back in the first round, are you comfortable with him as your number one wide receiver heading into a draft?
26:06Yeah, a hundred percent. I, I, I have more mental rankings than anything else from doing mock drafts and such, but yeah,
26:13he's a guy that I've regularly kind of penciled in my head as like mid second round.
26:17And I, I don't hate it. If you take him anywhere near like, you know, the, or even the early second round,
26:24like this is a guy that has as much wide receiver, like one overall potential as anybody going outside of that top,
26:30you know, three or four, but those truly elite younger, more toward their prime receivers.
26:34Uh, yeah, I've absolutely no problem with that. By the way, last year where they had Stefan digs on part-time and you
26:40know, they, they're Kayshawn booty and pop Douglas and whatever.
26:43Patriots were still eighth in total wide receiver fantasy points.
26:46So even with a group of guys that were not nearly as good as AJ Brown has been throughout his career, they
26:52were still putting up massive fantasy points. All right.
26:55Um, so this guy's on the short list of ride or die.
26:58Um, he's one of quote, my guys. Uh, and I'll just say this.
27:02I know a lot of people are starting to get on the bandwagon here, but I've been early and that's Devante Smith.
27:08Um, I'm, you know, I haven't, I am at 27 overall ADP has them at 35 overall.
27:13So I'm fairly ahead on, um, uh, in terms of the consensus ranks, having two spots ahead of consensus rates as well.
27:19Look, I talked about this at the combine. If you go back and look at my 35 most interesting things I heard
27:25at the NFL combine in 2026, I wrote that for NBC.
27:28Um, I talked to a couple of different team sources who said, and this quote's been, has been a, has gone around now for a little bit.
27:36But what I heard was that the Eagles felt like an AJ AJ Brown was still on the team by the way
27:42at this time, but they basically felt like if Devante Smith could ever get that kind of target chair, if AJ Smith
27:48could ever get, um, a Jackson Smith and Jigba type target chair, he could have that kind of season.
27:53They felt as good as he's been. The slim Reaper still had another gear to go that he could ultimately be that kind of guy.
28:00In each of the past five seasons, here's the entire list of wide receivers to average at least eight and a half
28:06yards per target in each of the last five seasons.
28:09You ready for it? Here's the entire list. Devante Smith.
28:12That's it. That's the list. Since 2023, he's been targeted on 29% of his routes with AJ Brown off the field.
28:18Oh, guess what? AJ Brown going to be off the field this year.
28:22So I just feel like in the games where he's seen at least a 25% target share, which he should get to
28:28Devante Smith averages over 17 fantasy points per game, new offense coordinator, former NFL quarterback, Sean Mannion.
28:33What's a former NFL quarterback going to do hand the ball off?
28:36Absolutely not. So the Eagles are going to be more pass heavy than they were.
28:40They've been the run heaviest team in the NFL last couple of years.
28:44So even if they're still like just bottom third in run rate, as opposed to dead last, that'll be a significant improvement,
28:50especially with AJ Brown off the field. I think Devante Smith has a monster year and being the number one wide receiver
28:56in fantasy football is not outside the realm of possibility.
28:59I'm not saying it's likely. I mean, you know, obviously you got Puka and you got JSN and you got CD lamb.
29:05You got Jamar chase. You got all the guys at the top, but there's a non-zero chance that Devante Smith has that kind of year has that kind.
29:13There's a non-zero chance. And so where he's going, give me all the Devante Smith.
29:17Yeah, I like it. I think that's another one that it almost feels like it's too obvious and people are like getting
29:23bored of it because it's like AJ Brown left and Devante Smith, this former Heisman winning wide receiver is just going to be their new wide receiver one.
29:31And you know, people are too enamored with like, is a Mecca Buka really?
29:35That guy is Lad McConkey going to bounce back with, with Mike McDaniel there now.
29:39And it's just like Devante Smith sitting here, obviously being drafted a little bit higher than some of those guys, but is
29:46just clearly going to be really good this year.
29:48And I don't think it's that hard of a part of a conclusion to get to.
29:53And Ved, the FFHH regular says, do you think Devante will go much higher than current ADP by the time we get
29:59closer to the start of the tournament? I do actually.
30:02I certainly do. His, well, I know, I know what you mean.
30:05I feel like people feel like it's too obvious.
30:08So they're just sort of like passing on and they, and you know, he just doesn't look like the prototypical wide receiver one.
30:14He's a smaller guy against slim Reaper, but people forget like coming out of college, coming out of Alabama, roll tide.
30:20He was a generational prospect. So anyway, Devante Smith to the moon.
30:23Speaking of guys coming out of college and looking like great prospects, you've got a Tennessee Titan.
30:28I do. You know, Brian Dayball lookalike. Yeah. Hey, I'm calling all the plays for him.
30:33Yeah, exactly. Carnell tape. Yeah. Carnell tape. I think it's another one.
30:36I guess I'm just the rookie guy today. I think similar to like Jeremiah love being discounted because of what Jente did
30:42last year and to a lesser degree, what Bijan did on your, on your first round return value his rookie year.
30:48I think Tate's being really discounted just because people are burnt out by Marvin Harrison jr.
30:53And to a slightly lesser degree, Travis Hunter obviously wasn't being drafted quite as high and fantasy drafts last year because of the uncertainty.
30:59But just in terms of these guys being drafted really highly in the NFL draft, normally those are guys that you would
31:05think or have like high confidence are going to produce.
31:08And neither Travis Hunter or Marvin Harrison jr. Did that.
31:11I think we're going too far the opposite direction now of not just trusting guys who are stepping into a situation where
31:17they're clearly just going to have a giant target share.
31:20I mean, I think this is one of the better situations for fantasy production than we've seen in recent years for a
31:26lot of rookie receivers because a lot of rookie receivers come in and just have absolute trash at quarterback like Drake London's rookie year.
31:33He was coming in with Marcus Mariota. You know, Garrett Wilson's rookie year.
31:37He came in with Zach Wilson like Cam Ward.
31:39Do I know that he's that good? No, but is there a promise there at least?
31:44And the thing about Carnell Tate is, you know, brand you mentioned, you know, the thing with Jeremiah love same sort of thing, right?
31:50The last nine wide receivers to be drafted inside the top 10, meaning in the NFL draft all saw at least a hundred targets as a rookie.
31:58Right. And so, I mean, we're seeing the one handed catches in practice.
32:02We're seeing all the, all the footage, but the fact is, is like a really talented kid.
32:06And for all the Brian Dayball jokes, I think jury's still out as to whether or not he's a good head coach.
32:13I think he sort of got screwed a little in New York.
32:16I think he's a good play caller. I think he's a good play caller.
32:20We've seen Wanda Robinson and my league neighbors have big fantasy seasons under day ball.
32:24And so I think this is going to be an aggressive offense in terms of passing the ball.
32:29I think Cam Ward in terms of you think about stylistically, he's aggressive throwing the, the ball down the field.
32:35And so you'll have Gunnar Helm and Wanda Robinson underneath, but Carnell Tate is going to be the guy they're chucking it deep to.
32:42I'm not really worried about, you know, we'll see some shmary DK and I'm sure they've got to give some snaps to
32:48Calvin Ridley, but ultimately I think Carnell Tate to your point going in the seventh round, interesting flyer there.
32:53Um, so you go from a rookie wide receiver.
32:56I'm going to a second year tight end and again, breakout.
32:59Look, Car, uh, Colston Loveland is my tight end three.
33:02I think he's the consensus tight end three across the industry.
33:05So, uh, the reason I have him in the breakout is, is that I think he is much closer to the Brock
33:11Bowers, Trey McBride tier than he is to the tier below him to the Tyler Warrens and the, you know, Laportas and,
33:17and, and those guys, Kyle Pitts, what have you.
33:19Like, I think there's, I think you could easily argue that Colston Loveland belongs in that tier.
33:24He's third in that tier, but he's in that tight end one tier over his final 10 games.
33:29He had a 90 utilization score. That's a metric that Dwayne McFarland at fantasy life.com came up with proprietary metric that takes
33:36all of the usage and, and production as it relates into fantasy points, puts in an easy understand number on a one
33:42to a hundred list is utilization score. 90 unbelievable.
33:44That would have been second among tight ends last season, final five games, including the playoffs.
33:49He got nine kind of nine red zone targets, four different end zone targets in that stretch.
33:53And in four of the five games in which he had at least a 20% target share, he had at least 90 receiving yards.
34:00No DJ more there. It seems like they finally took the reins off and said, okay, Cole commit.
34:05Thanks for your service. But this is the Colston Loveland show.
34:08Remember this was Ben Johnson's first traffic. He got to the bears and the very first guy, he threw his hat down
34:15and said, this is the guy I want is Colston Loveland.
34:18So to the moon for Colston Loveland, you see it there on your screen.
34:22Like I'm at 38 overall. He's going at, you know, after pick 42, everyone has him a tight end three, but I
34:28like him more in the overall than I think the consensus does as well.
34:32Um, don't know if you had any thoughts on Colston Loveland.
34:35Uh, crypto says Loveland is his ride or die Colston Loveland on the shortlist for ride or die as well.
34:40Yeah, I'm with you. I have, I have a little bit of PTSD going for a year to tight end after, uh,
34:47my Kyle Pitts escapade back in his year two, but I will grant you that Ben Johnson is not Arthur Smith and
34:53Caleb Williams is not whatever they had at quarterback.
34:55So no, I do like Colston Loveland quite a bit.
34:58Um, just, you know, pulling the trigger on a, on a tight end at that point in the draft still gives me
35:04the heebie jeebies, but I, I might consider it for what's that look like.
35:08If you get the heebie jeebies. It's a little bit of like kind of, kind of a Caleb thing, but like scared.
35:14It's like, right. But you need, you need finger polish, Brandon.
35:17I'd like to, uh, so, uh, Martin's world says this Luther burdens injury inflate Loveland's value maybe a little bit, but I
35:24don't think, I mean, we talked about this yesterday and I encourage you to listen to it's available on our YouTube channel.
35:30Please like, and subscribe. Is that what the kids say?
35:33Brandon, please like, and subscribe. Yeah. As far as I know, there's no new lingo for that.
35:37It's still that. Yeah. Okay. And, uh, Brandon Garrett says, I like Warren more than Loveland and is because of the hair.
35:44I get it. Um, uh, I, and Colts lost Pittman.
35:46There is that too. I think Tyler Warren's gonna have a very good year, but I'm at four.
35:51I just think Loveland has more touchdown upside. Um, uh, and I prefer his quarterback and I, I prefer the offensive system
35:58in Chicago to the one in Indianapolis. Um, but, uh, but what I was gonna say is, um, in terms of the
36:04booth burden, we talked about this yesterday. Burden is expected to be back for week number one.
36:09And I don't know that if Burden were to miss a week, all of a sudden, you know, Loveland gets a bigger target share.
36:15So, I mean, he's going at tight in three.
36:18I don't know much how higher you can get him.
36:21Cause you're not taking him ahead of Bowers or Trey McBride.
36:24It is time now. I want to play a game with you.
36:27This okay, Brandon? I want to play a game called, um, F Mary chill where the F stands for friend to be clear.
36:34That's a PG version of, uh, F Mary, uh, chill.
36:36And so, uh, friend Mary chill. So, uh, I want you to F Mary chill.
36:41The F stands for friend. These second year running backs, Quinchon Judkins, Travion Henderson, Bay Shaw tootin.
36:45They're all going right around the same area in terms of ADP.
36:49So F Mary chill, second year running backs, Judkins, Henderson, and Bay Shaw tootin.
36:53Well, first I appreciate that we're censoring the second half of this show, but the first half was the wild west.
36:59Uh, yeah, no, I, I think, uh, the F, the F for friend, of course.
37:03Um, I'll go with Bay Shaw tootin for that.
37:05I think, you know, guy that I'm interested in.
37:08I like his talent, uh, just still a little weary on how that's all going to shake out in Jacksonville.
37:14I don't know how much work he's going to get, but like, I want to take the shot on him just in
37:20case he is that next big breakout thing. Uh, I'm going to marry Quinchon Judkins.
37:24I really don't want to marry a Cleveland Brown, but like when it comes to fantasy football this year and you're constructing
37:30a team and you look at these three guys and you look at who's going to get the most work.
37:36Like it's, it's just definitely Quinchon Judkins. And to me, roster building, I feel better about that where he's going in drafts.
37:42Cause if I'm drafting Judkins, it's probably cause I went pretty heavy wide receiver early, or like even took a Brock Bowers early, or maybe a Josh Allen.
37:50I just want a guy who's going to touch the ball a lot and give me like a decent floor of points,
37:56even though he's on the Cleveland Browns. And then I'm going to chill on, on my guy, Travion Henderson, like very glad
38:02that he's on the new England Patriots. But for fantasy value, I just think people are way overestimating his even chance to overtake Ramondre Stevenson in this backfield.
38:10Like to me, Ramondre is so much more set in what he's going to do for this offense than like even what
38:16Chris Rodriguez is going to do for the Jaguars.
38:19Like Chris Rodriguez could get passed up by Bachel too.
38:22And then I wouldn't be surprised. Travion is not going to just pass up Ramondre.
38:26Not with how much trust Mike Vrabel has in him.
38:29Yeah, no, listen, I agree with everything you just said.
38:31So I agree with you with Mary being the best.
38:34I'm marrying Quinchan Judkins to your point. He's got the best shot at double the touchdowns of everyone on this list, in my opinion.
38:41Um, just because I, and I think the Browns offense, I don't think the Browns offense is going to be amazing, but
38:47I don't think they're going to be as much of a train wreck as people think I'm a believer in Todd Munkin
38:53and whoever wins the quarterback will be fine. Um, uh, and you know, like, again, I like the wide receivers.
38:59They drafted like they'll be fine. So I think Judkins is being scoring position more often.
39:03You mentioned I'm going to friend tootin cause there's upside there, but we're seeing, we're hearing a little bit too much of Chris Rodriguez out of camp.
39:11And then I'm with you on Traven Henderson. We talked about him yesterday with JJ as well in terms of Ramond Ray Stevenson.
39:17All right, F Mary chill, aging tight ends. George Kittle, friend of the podcast, George Kittle, Travis Kelsey and Mark Andrews.
39:23Who are you going to F? Who are you going to marry?
39:27Who are you going to chill among these veteran tight ends?
39:30Yeah. The, the, the, the unk tight ends, if you will.
39:33Um, I think Mark Andrews is only like 29 or something, which is ridiculous.
39:37Um, also Mark Andrews, by the way. Yep. Well, very appropriate then.
39:40Cause I'm going to friend Mark Andrews. I think his, his red zone role and just how much trust Lamar Jackson has in him.
39:47Um, especially with some optimism that, you know, the offense might transform a little bit or take a new shape here with Declan Doyle there.
39:54I like Mark Andrews as like a speculative older tight end that could still provide you like a pretty good floor fantasy points.
40:00So I'm going to, I'm going to friend Mark Andrews.
40:03I'm going to marry George Kittle. Um, the Achilles thing is scary, obviously, but George Kittle is also scary.
40:09That's a scary man. That's a very freaky, scary man.
40:11I think he's going to bounce back nicely. Even if the season starts a little bit slow.
40:16Um, I think he's got, you know, a couple of years left of that really just elite dog production, as long as
40:22the substation doesn't strike him down from above. And then I'm going to chill on Travis Kelsey.
40:27That man talk about aging tight ends. That man he's aged.
40:30There's no more aging going on. He's aged. Um, I'm giving him a, yeah, yeah.
40:34Yeah. He's just, he looks like, he looks like dust.
40:37Um, he kind of got that like middle of the field option route role, you know, yoinked from him by, by Rashi
40:43rice, just by virtue of rice having more juice.
40:46And I, I think he still has more juice than Kelsey, even with the, you know, surgery and all that or injury.
40:52Um, but yeah, from what I just saw from Travis, Kelsey, he just, he's, he's just too old, man.
40:57I just, I don't want that in my lineup is too old.
41:01Well, we disagree here as, uh, uh, Craig Ainer, uh, one five, six five says, get in that marriage throuple with Kelsey.
41:07Absolutely. Listen, if, if Travis Kelsey is good enough to be married, uh, to Taylor Swift, he's good enough to get married to me.
41:14So I'm going to marry Travis Kelsey last year here.
41:17I'm a big, I'm a big believer in the chiefs having a bounce back year.
41:21You mentioned Rishi rice earlier in the show. Uh, last week we had Dan Graziano who was at chiefs camp who said
41:27they're using Xavier a lot, but like candidly, I think that Travis Kelsey, because of the familiarity, he's not going to go out.
41:33Um, uh, he's not going to go out, uh, you know, with a wimp, with a limp, you know, with a, he's
41:40not going to go out with a whimper or, uh, limping out.
41:43Should I say big year off of the marriage, Travis Kelsey, it's a, it's all narrative based.
41:48But the truth is, is that if you look at the underlying metrics, it was fine.
41:52Like he's not Kelsey of old, but I think there's still some positivity there.
41:56Meanwhile, I'm very nervous about, uh, the Achilles, even if he comes back, like we've seen players lose their explosiveness.
42:02So, um, I, so I will friend, uh, George Kittle, friend of the podcast.
42:06I'm going to chill on Mark Andrews. I'm just, I'm nervous about this guy.
42:10Like we were all like, we couldn't understand why they resigned him.
42:13We don't know what this offense is going to look like under Declan Doyle.
42:17He's really touchdown dependent. Um, and, uh, Brian Hickman saying, uh, to you, Brandon, are you saying you'll never, ever, ever get back together with Travis Kelsey?
42:25That is, that is absolutely what I'm saying. Yes.
42:27I have a blonde wig in the other room.
42:30I could go get to really make the point, but it would take me a little time.
42:34Yeah. Um, I appreciate that you have that well done, Brian, uh, Brian Hickman.
42:38I've got a blank space and I'm going to write your name.
42:42All right. F Mary chill. I'm just nervous about Andrews.
42:45He's my tight end 14. Um, so, okay. Um, fantasy punishments, fantasy punishments here.
42:48Okay. Uh, which I want you to F Mary chill.
42:51These fantasy punishments, 18 holes without a ball. I don't know if you saw that somebody had to play a full 18,
42:5718 holes of golf without a ball. That was truly brilliant.
43:01And pretty much every social account played it a dinner with a blow up doll.
43:05I've seen people, they have to take a blow up doll out on a date, you know, and not say why you're doing it.
43:12You just act like it's normal. And then, um, retake the SAT.
43:15So F Mary chill those fantasy punishments. Yeah. Um, I'm going to take this from the approach of like, if I had to do them.
43:22So like 18 holes without a ball, that's a really funny bit for the first leg hole or two.
43:27After that, you have to keep doing that for 16, 17 more holes.
43:31And it's just like, this isn't even funny anymore.
43:33And you know that, but you have to keep doing it because that's the punishment.
43:38Uh, and the group you're playing with is going to think you're an absolute lunatic.
43:42So it's, it's a tough one to play. Do you think he, he, do you think he constantly went to the fairway
43:48or do you think he like, you know, a couple of times it's like in the, in, uh, in the rough, you
43:54know, that he hit his imaginary ball into the rough.
43:57If I'm playing pretend golf, Matthew, I'm hitting the perfect shot every time because there's, I gotta get something out of this.
44:03Right. So I think I'm going to, I'm going to for Brandon.
44:07No, I'm too much in there regularly. And I probably will be later today.
44:11Um, I'm going to friend that one because I think it's funny and it's, it's unique and it would be a good
44:17time for at least a little bit. And other people will get a kick out of it.
44:21I'm going to marry the retake, the SAT. That is a classic punishment.
44:25That's honestly one that like, it's going to take up some of your time, but you'll, you'll get over it.
44:31Like it's not really that big a detriment to you.
44:34And I was, I was a pretty good test taker back in the day.
44:38So, you know, let's see, see if I can beat my own high score.
44:41I think the SAT has changed a little bit since then.
44:45Uh, and then, yeah, I'm not, I'm not going on a date with a blowup doll.
44:49I don't, I don't want to do that. Yeah.
44:52I'm chilling on that. Well, as well, I think you have it ranked correctly.
44:55Um, uh, yeah. Chill the blow up doll says, uh, uh, crypto Kev XRP.
44:59Um, yeah, I mean, but yeah, it's, uh, shrubs on sports says, you know, like if you're playing fake golf, isn't it, isn't it 18 holes in one?
45:07You know, didn't you like you didn't, didn't you?
45:10Yeah, it could be, I guess. I mean, par five, that's kind of hard to justify.
45:14I might, I might play it a little bit more realistically than that, but I'm the, on the, on the par threes.
45:20Yeah. Oh yeah. All in one. I think I might rather retake the SAT.
45:24Just, I think it's quicker. You know what I mean?
45:27Like, cause like, like all these are about embarrassment, right?
45:30So like, if you do, you take the SAT, you just walk in there and whatever, it's like a couple hours and
45:36it sucks, but you're, you're there and you could just quickly, you don't care about your SAT.
45:41So you just, I'm going to fill in a for every single answer and then I'm done.
45:46Um, Brian Hickman with a, with a Caddyshack reference.
45:48It's in the whole Cinderella story. Um, but meanwhile, if you're having to play golf with an imaginary ball or go on
45:54a date with a blow up doll, like everyone's staring at you, like what the hell dude?
45:59So, um, yeah, as Valiant Vincent says, it's easy to retake the SAT.
46:03I think there should be a minimum score requirement on the SAT one though.
46:07You need to get at least like a bad score, but like something that shows that you actually tried it and you
46:13didn't just mark off things to get it over with that.
46:16That adds to the punishment to me. That adds to the punishment.
46:19That's her. I saw another one the other day on, um, social media, which I thought was pretty good.
46:25I had, I've normally, you know, I've been doing this for so long and you know, my book fantasy life, which came
46:31out in 2013 was the first, it was all, you know, had nothing but fantasy punishments in it throughout the book.
46:37You know, we had a bunch of them and you know, the, I met these guys that, you know, where the loser
46:43league had to get a tattoo, a permanent tattoo chosen by the winner of the league and sort of made them famous, helped them blow up.
46:50And so, you know, ever since that book, I feel like fantasy punishments have become a thing.
46:55And, um, uh, well, by the way, Matt Dennis asks, why does brand have a blonde wig in the next room?
47:01That is a good question for you. Well, buddy, you must be new here.
47:05Cause that is not the only wig I have in the next room.
47:09So let me, let me tell you, familiarize yourself with my, my page.
47:12A little bit and it will become clear very quickly.
47:15Um, at any rate. So like at this point, my point of me telling that story about the book was at this
47:21point, I feel like I've seen them all. Like, you know, it's rare, it's hard for me to see something in the
47:27world of fantasy punishments where I'm like, oh, that's new.
47:30Yeah. I mean, I've sort of seen versions of it all playing 18 holes of golf without a ball.
47:36That was a new one for me. Thought that was pretty good.
47:39And then I saw one the other day that was a twist on, you know, a lot of times like you have
47:45to eat 24 hours in a waffle house or 24 hours in a restaurant and you get points offered, you know, you
47:51get time off for how many eggs or hash browns or whatever it is you eat, um, uh, pancakes.
47:57But, um, uh, this one was bowling, bowling and you, he had to spend like something like eight hours in the bowling alley.
48:03And it's just like for every strike, he got 15 minutes off the time.
48:07But for every gutter ball, I think they added five minutes to the time.
48:11And so it was, uh, you know, uh, I thought that was pretty good.
48:15I thought that was pretty good. All right. Uh, Brandon F Mary chill Odyssey inspired team names, the Trojan hurts to a
48:21lecmecus or Kyle Pitsidian or studying it's Poseidon ID and Poseidon.
48:24Sorry. Kyle. I have not yet. I have not yet found eight hours in my day to go see Odyssey.
48:30I did go see it. I did go see it.
48:33Um, it was not my choice. It was a group outing that they were like, Hey, we're going to see this movie.
48:39I'm like, all right, cool. I didn't even know the story, Matthew.
48:42That's how uncultured I am to just the story of, of the Odyssey and all that.
48:47I know it's been around for a bajillion years.
48:49Didn't know it went in. It was honestly, I was probably one of the only people to go in and see that
48:55with a clear mind and no expectations. Um, as far as these names are concerned, we're chilling on the Kyle Pitts one immediately.
49:02Cause he and I still have beef. I I'm there's no Kyle Pitts names being allowed around here.
49:07I will not stand for it. There's just no chance.
49:10Um, you can tell by the way, I'm going to interrupt you here for a second.
49:14You can tell this year when you're in a draft, the people that draft, there's two types of people in the world of fantasy football.
49:21The people that have drafted Kyle Pitts before and the people that haven't, the people that haven't are the people that'll be
49:27in on Kyle Pitts this year or anyone that only had him last year.
49:31Anyone else that's had him prior to last year is like, I can't, I know he was good last year.
49:37I still also, if you had it last year, he had like one real game.
49:41He got like 45 points in one game and that was 25% of his points.
49:45So this guy, no, no more, no more Kyle Pitts and fantasy.
49:49Uh, we're chilling on that one. I'll say friend let's friend the Trojan hurts because I like the plan words.
49:54I think it could use a little bit of work hurts horse.
49:58I get it, but you know, it's all right.
50:00Uh, to Alemachus. I do enjoy. I'll, I'll marry.
50:03I'll marry to Alemachus. Yeah. I might switch those just because I just feel like sometimes people will, you know, you'll name to Alemachus, right?
50:10Which is good name. Right. But like, it means you have to have two on your team.
50:15You can't call your team to Alemachus unless you have two on your team and you're not drafting to a tongue of
50:21Iowa, unless you're in a super flex league, super deep league.
50:24You're truly desperate. Right. I mean, but 64 team.
50:26Right. Yeah. Jalen hurts. You will get, you will draft people will drop Kyle Pitt.
50:31So to a good name, but a bit of stretch using the, um, uh, you know, using the, uh, the player name there.
50:37All right. Last one here. F Mary chill Christmas day plans spending time with family, the NBA games, which includes LeBron and his, the Sixers at the Lakers.
50:45Um, you know, Miami and Boston Spurs and Knicks, uh, NBA finals rematch.
50:49So really good games in the NBA or the NFL games, bears and Packers bills at Denver, Josh Allen going back there Rams at Seattle.
50:56So F Mary chill your Christmas day plans. Yeah.
50:58Got some bad news for the family. Uh, chill, chill, chill on that one.
51:02There's no family involved. Uh, they are the last priority.
51:05Um, we're gonna, we're gonna marry the NFL games because obviously, and we're going to friend the NBA games, which I think
51:11is perfect because my exposure to the NBA games on Christmas I'll probably tune in a little bit to a LeBron at the Lakers.
51:18It's my team. Um, Hey, last call. We have a minute and a half left very quickly.
51:23Who is your offensive player of the year? Yeah, I'm going with Jameer Gibbs.
51:27I feel like it's the really easy, boring pick, but you get a incredible running back with a team that just got
51:33rid of David Montgomery has one of the easiest schedules in the league.
51:36I thought saw they like, don't play a cold outdoor game all season until week 17.
51:41So it's like, I have never really seen a more perfect set of circumstances outside of, you know, the line is still a little bit of a question.
51:49Cade Mays got hurt the other day. So there's some question there, but otherwise just perfect storm for Jameer Gibbs.
51:54I'll go with him. I'm going to go with Jamar.
51:57I'm going to go with Jamar Chase, proud fantasy life investor, Jamar Chase, who's 10 to one.
52:02Um, I'm in on the Bengals offenses here. I think everyone finally fully healthy.
52:06Uh, you know, they improved the defense. I think this is going to be a big year for the Bengals.
52:12I know whenever you trust the Bengals, they screw you.
52:14They bone you. But, um, I'm a, I'm in on Jamar Chase having like one of those years with a healthy Joe Burrow and T Higgins opposite it.
52:22So give me Jamar Chase at 10 to one.
52:25Um, Hey Brandon, this was awesome. We're going to follow you all on social media at bench warmer brand.
