Adonai Mitchell

PositiveUsage29:24

Connor Rogers notes that Adonai Mitchell has a strong rapport with Geno Smith, making him a key receiver to watch in the Jets' offense alongside Garrett Wilson.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

NegativeRole12:23

The addition of Stefon Diggs significantly hurts Antonio Williams' immediate fantasy outlook. Connor Rogers suggests Williams is now strictly a dynasty stash, as his path to rookie production is blocked for at least this season.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveValue25:39

Connor Rogers suggests Baker Mayfield (currently QB21) could finish as a QB1 (around QB13) because he is motivated by his contract situation and may be forced to run more in the red zone.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveUsage19:06

Matthew Berry argues that Carnell Tate faces more target competition in Tennessee than he would have in New Orleans, making him less favorable than Jordan Tyson.

Insight page
NegativeRole28:33

Connor Rogers notes that while Carnell Tate has built-in opportunity in Tennessee, he faces significant target competition from Wan'Dale Robinson and others, making him less attractive than Jordan Tyson.

Insight page
PositiveProjection61:12

Trevor Sikkema projects Carnell Tate as a top Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate, citing his elite ability to win vertically and his strong hands. With Brian Daboll's offense expected to prioritize the deep ball for Cam Ward, Tate has the potential to exceed 1,000 yards and reach double-digit touchdowns.

Insight page

Cedric Tillman

NegativeRole53:15

Matthew Berry and Trevor Sikkema both express continued support for Cedric Tillman, with Berry noting he is 'hanging tough' with the receiver despite the potential for other players to emerge in the Browns' offense.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveSleeper21:51

Connor Rogers identifies Colston Loveland as a strong tight end option to target, noting he is well-suited for a productive year in the Bears' offense alongside Luther Burden.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

NegativeSleeper32:12

Connor Rogers notes that while Cyrus Allen is a talented player who impressed in Chiefs camp, the hype has likely gone too far for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveBreakout24:24

Connor Rogers suggests Denzel Boston could outperform both Makai Lemon and Casey Concepcion, noting he has been the talk of camp and is more physical.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper51:00

Trevor Sikkema believes Denzel Boston is being overlooked in fantasy drafts due to concerns about the Browns' quarterback situation. Sikkema ranked Boston 21st overall on his big board and expects him to secure a significant role as the team's X receiver, noting that someone must catch passes in the offense.

Insight page

Gunnar Helm

PositiveSleeper19:25

Matthew Berry identifies Gunnar Helm as a sleeper tight end candidate, noting that the Tennessee offense under Robert Saleh will prioritize the run game.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper32:05

Connor Rogers mentions Gunnar Helm as a potential sleeper tight end to watch in Tennessee.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveDepth Chart60:48

Matthew Berry identifies Isaiah Likely as the pass-catcher on the Giants' roster that fantasy managers should feel most confident about after Malik Nabors, effectively labeling him the team's WR2 in terms of fantasy reliability.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeInjury39:00

Trevor Sikkema notes that while the team values JK Dobbins, his extensive injury history and inability to play a full 17-game season make it necessary for the Broncos to integrate Jonah Coleman into the offense early to ensure they have a capable replacement ready.

Insight page

Jacory Croskey-Merritt

NegativeRole44:09

Trevor Sikkema identifies Ja'Cory Krosky-Merritt as having the highest ceiling for dynamic ability in the Commanders' backfield, but notes he lacks the power profile the team desires for early-down and short-yardage work.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeRole22:06

Connor Rogers loves the talent but is hesitant for redraft leagues due to a murky role, potential committee usage with veterans, and the risk of his ADP inflating due to Hard Knocks exposure.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveValue15:30

Connor Rogers is comfortable drafting Jeremiah Love in the second round, noting a 'mini discount' due to the market's overreaction to Ashton Genty's struggles last year. Rogers compares him favorably to Brees Hall and Josh Jacobs, citing Mike LaFleur's history of maximizing rookie running back usage.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveSleeper32:59

Connor Rogers and Trevor Sikkema view Jonah Coleman as a high-upside stash in Denver, noting that Sean Payton frequently utilizes multiple running backs and Coleman could eventually lead the backfield.

Insight page
PositiveRole37:31

Trevor Sikkema and Connor Rogers view Jonah Coleman as a highly reliable, pro-ready back who excels at maximizing yardage. While he may start behind JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey, the expectation is that he will earn significant carries because Sean Payton's system frequently utilizes multiple backs. Sikkema projects Coleman could emerge as the lead back and a viable RB2 with 15+ touches per game by the second half of the season, particularly if Dobbins faces injury or Harvey struggles with efficiency.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

PositiveUsage18:49

Matthew Berry prefers Jordan Tyson over Carnell Tate, noting Tyson's ability to act as a zone beater who earns manufactured touches and underneath work.

Insight page
PositiveProjection28:18

Connor Rogers prefers Jordan Tyson over Carnell Tate, ranking Tyson at 63 and Tate at 64. Rogers argues Tyson is the better player and is in a better situation because Chris Olave will draw top coverage, allowing Tyson to operate as a separator.

Insight page
PositiveProjection63:03

Matthew Berry favors Jordan Tyson for Offensive Rookie of the Year over Carnell Tate, arguing that playing for the Saints in a high-profile division race provides better national perception and award potential. Berry notes that Tyson is a 'darling' player on a team he expects to win the division.

Insight page

Kaytron Allen

PositiveSleeper41:52

Trevor Sikkema argues Katron Allen is a high-upside sleeper who should have been drafted much earlier. He is viewed as the ideal 'thumper' for the Commanders' offense, specifically for short-yardage and red-zone situations where Rashad White and Ja'Cory Krosky-Merritt are less suited. Matthew Berry highlights that the team explicitly sought a power back, making Allen a strong late-round flyer in an offense that aims to run the ball.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

NegativeInjury27:59

Connor Rogers notes that Kenyon Sadiq's injury, while not serious, is a significant blow to his fantasy outlook because missing camp time hinders his ability to hit the ground running in the Jets' offense.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveBreakout21:30

Connor Rogers expects Luther Burden to be a 'monster' this year, noting he is receiving WR1 targets in a Ben Johnson offense with an ascending quarterback and has a clear path to volume following the departure of DJ Moore.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

PositiveProjection23:26

Connor Rogers ranks Makai Lemon at 98 overall, noting that despite camp volatility and separation concerns, his draft capital and role in the Eagles' offense make him the more impactful player over a full season compared to Casey Concepcion.

Insight page

Malachi Fields

PositiveSleeper59:01

Trevor Sikkema highlights Fields as a vertical, contested-catch threat who fits perfectly with quarterback Jackson Dart's preference for deep passing. While Malik Nabors is the clear WR1, Fields is positioned to be a 'security blanket' on deep routes and scramble drills. He is a deep-league target or waiver wire watch-list player who could provide boom-or-bust value.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

PositiveRole28:47

Connor Rogers expects Omar Cooper to have a bigger impact than Kenyon Sadiq out of the gate, as Cooper is healthy and actively involved in the Jets' camp.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveSleeper18:45

Connor Rogers and Matthew Berry both highlight Omarian Hampton as an undervalued player. Rogers suggests doubling down on him as a 'ride or die' candidate, noting he is not a top-30 pick and possesses significant upside.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeRole38:01

Trevor Sikkema expects RJ Harvey to receive opportunities in the Broncos' backfield, but notes that if the team intended for him to be the primary workhorse, they would have committed to him exclusively rather than building a deep rotation. His role is subject to efficiency, and he could lose ground to Jonah Coleman if he underperforms.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveRole8:40

Stefon Diggs joins the Commanders on a one-year deal, likely sliding into the WR2 role. Connor Rogers notes Diggs remains productive, citing his 51 first downs (tied for 10th among pass catchers) last year, and expects him to work the intermediate part of the field, allowing Terry McLaurin to operate at all three levels.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveRole54:28

Matthew Berry and Trevor Sikkema highlight Ted Hurst as a player who could emerge as the Buccaneers' WR3. While Jalen McMillan may see more targets, Hurst is expected to play a significant snap count as the primary X receiver, a role the team specifically drafted him to fill. Berry predicts Hurst will become a fantasy factor at some point this season.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout57:30

Matthew Berry notes that with Mike Evans gone, there is a clear opportunity in the Buccaneers' offense, which ranked second in the NFL in wide receiver target share (67%) last season. Berry predicts that at some point this season, Hurst will become a fantasy-relevant player.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeValue11:52

Matthew Berry dropped Terry McLaurin a few spots in his rankings to WR27 (half-point PPR) following the addition of Stefon Diggs to the Commanders' receiving corps.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

NegativeUsage15:39

Matthew Berry and Connor Rogers discuss the risk of a committee approach in Atlanta, noting that Tyler Allgeier may command the majority of snaps and early-down work, potentially limiting Jeremiah Love's immediate goal-line and high-volume usage.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury20:43

Matthew Berry highlights reports from Albert Breer suggesting Zach Charbonnet could potentially return as early as Week 1 or Week 5, which threatens the early-season workload of Jadarian Price.

0:00It is Fantasy Football Happy Hour. Look, it's noon on YouTube, but it is five o'clock somewhere and no one knows that
0:06better than my guest today, Connor James Rogers, my buddy, my old partner.
0:10There he is. Good to see you, Matthew. Good to see you.
0:13The star of NFL Stock Exchange with Tampa Bay Trey, Trevor Sikkema.
0:17Yep. Trevor is coming up in the second half of the show.
0:20We're going to tag team this a little bit, but I wanted you all to myself for a little while here.
0:26You know, in the future, hopefully we get both you guys on at the same time.
0:30But today it's just you. And of course, I would remiss if I didn't point out, I want to be very clear about this.
0:37Connor Rogers is also a full-time employee of NBC Sports and Universal and Comcast.
0:41So I just want to say that, of course, he hosts Sims Unbutton every single day and we appreciate NBC Sports making him available to us today.
0:48Thank you so much to my old friends back at NBC.
0:52Brick and flannels. Welcome back, Connor. Everyone's excited. The chat going crazy.
0:55I love seeing the chat right now and all the familiar faces, Neck Brace Nation, Aloha Bricks.
1:00I mean, so many familiar faces from the regulars.
1:02I absolutely love it. Thank you for having me, Matthew.
1:05And you're so polished and buttoned up on this variant of fantasy football happy hour.
1:09I'm almost confused right now and where this is going to go.
1:13Rightfully so. Rightfully so. But I told a very long story with Dan Graziano about getting drunk at the combine and sneaking
1:19onto the Cowboys bus on Jerry Jones's Steelers Cowboys bus.
1:22So, you know, I mean, like as the chat, the chat noticed.
1:25We'll get off the rails. We're off the rails.
1:27Like they were like Barry doing a five minute story that has nothing to do with anything on day two.
1:33We are so back. So we're finding Nemo sequel script again.
1:36Yeah, exactly. Should we talk about that? Let's get into that.
1:39I almost forgot what it was. Hey, so listen, it's been a ventful offseason for you, Connor.
1:44I want to talk a little bit about NFL Stock Exchange, but you are now a father.
1:49You now have physical proof that you've had sex.
1:51Congratulations. I know it's like carrying a trophy around that you have to change the diaper every once in a while.
1:57But it's it's been awesome, man. I'm you know, I'm getting a little more sleep each week.
2:02Those first couple of weeks, as you know, I mean, I actually have to ask you.
2:06I feel like I can't even take too much pride in getting through this because people that have twins now, I look
2:13at them in a totally different light of how are you alive?
2:16Quite frankly. So, as you know, my wife and I, we have five kids.
2:20And so we have three boys and then we had the twin girls.
2:23We reset the clock with the twin girls. And I remember when the girls were around the age of your son and
2:30even a little bit later because Brooke, my daughter, didn't sleep till she was three.
2:34And I just and Beth, I just remember Beth just saying, I will never listen to somebody that only has a single
2:40kid bitch about sleep again, because they were for two years.
2:43Not only did they never sleep, but they never slept at the same time.
2:47So we were constantly up. One would wake up at two, then the other one wake up at three and then the other one wake up at four.
2:55And like it just, you know, so it was just a disaster with there.
2:59So I, you know, but if if your marriage is anything like mine, shout out to Kristen, because I know she's doing the heavy lifting here.
3:06I know. Yeah. Yeah. So, but anyway, congratulations on that.
3:09Congratulations on all the success. And I'm also excited to announce here.
3:12I have a quick announcements here. I'm so excited.
3:15So while unfortunately we are not due to contractual obligations, you and I are not able to work together every single day on the happy hour show.
3:22We are still in business together because fantasy life has made a deal with NFL stock exchange.
3:27Obviously stock exchange still available on YouTube as a podcast, everywhere you've normally gotten it.
3:31But it's now going to be featured on the fantasy life fast channel.
3:35It's on LG. It's going to be part of our programming that we do with Fubo and Hulu.
3:40Hulu, because, you know, Fubo is now on Hulu and we have some more fun announcements coming up in the future.
3:46But we could not be more thrilled at fantasy life to be in partnership with you and Trevor and NFL stock exchange.
3:52Because as you know, I think what you guys have built over there is nothing short of phenomenal.
3:57Well, we appreciate that, Matthew. And the excitement is absolutely shared between Trevor and I right back at fantasy life because it
4:03is, as you just pointed out, it is just going to expand where we are.
4:07And thanks to fantasy life, which is so cool.
4:10We love doing the show. We cover the draft year round.
4:13We, of course, cover NFL rookies and college football as well.
4:16But we are really, really deep in the draft and more dynasty focused as well.
4:20And we thought fantasy life was just the team you have assembled and the people we've got to meet with and every
4:26all the partnership mechanisms that we have now. We can't wait, man.
4:30It's going to be really, really excited. So this is a perfect place to announce that as well, because the the addicts,
4:36as we call them, of NFL stock exchange have been wondering where the show was going to end up as we've been
4:42free agents for a couple of months now. And this is just the perfect partnership for the show.
4:47Yeah, we couldn't be more thrilled, Connor. You guys are killers.
4:50And so we love it. And I'm excited to talk about Trev in a little bit.
4:55But listen. All right. So we've we've done a bunch of nonsense.
4:58We've shouted out the regulars. I told a story about my kids.
5:01I've got some Diet Coke in this particular Red Solo Cup.
5:05We did blatant promotion. And now I want to talk about the commanders and stuff on dig.
5:09So we're really all the bases. There it is.
5:12You check every box already and we're six minutes into the show.
5:15It's just like old times. Exactly. Exactly. But we have legit commanders news right at the top.
5:20Stefan Diggs signs for my commanders. Handle commanders. Hail victory.
5:23One year deal. This is a guy who was wide receiver 22 on a points per game basis last year.
5:28Top 10 in the NFL in terms of yards for target, yards for route run.
5:33He was a top 10 wide receiver on receptions in terms of total receptions as well.
5:37So it feels like he still has something left in the tank.
5:40And that was all done as a part time player.
5:43Connor, talk to me about the fit. He seems like he's going to slide in as the number two for Jaden Daniels and David Blow's new offense.
5:51This is perfect. I mean, this is a player last year that caught 51 first downs.
5:55That was tied for 10th in the NFL when you count pass catchers.
5:59So Stefan Diggs clearly still has something in the tank.
6:02And I bring up moving the chains because that's the perfect role for him in this offense.
6:06That kind of allows Terry McLaurin to work at all three levels of the field.
6:11We'd rather see him get over the top of the defense as well and have Diggs work underneath in the intermediate part of the game.
6:18It just gives everybody a boost. He's going to be useful in fantasy as a depth wide receiver.
6:23It obviously helps Jaden Daniels. And the fact that their passing attack has a little bit more talent now should open up
6:29the run game depending on what part of this backfield you want to buy into, which I'm very intrigued by.
6:34I just don't know how I want to handle it because I like the rookie Catron Allen.
6:39I'm sure they like Rashad White because he's a veteran and we have our old friend Bill there as well.
6:45But even if Brandon Ayuk wasn't going crazy on Instagram these days, I would still like this move better because we haven't
6:51seen a productive, healthy Ayuk in so long. We were so far away from that where Diggs, we saw it on a really good team last year.
6:59We know he still has something left in the tank.
7:01So I actually think this is a better outcome for the commanders.
7:05Yeah, it's a homecoming. This is who I wanted to be there as well.
7:09Again, he's the number two. I dropped Terry McLaurin a few spots.
7:12I'm at now wide receiver 27. That's a half point PPR.
7:15Of course, all my rankings free at fantasylife.com. I'm a company man.
7:18Stefan Diggs, I currently have him at wide receiver 42.
7:21But I do think he's going to be productive.
7:24I think this helps Jaden Daniels. So it helps Jaden Daniels, to your point.
7:28I think it opens up the run game. There's a couple of people slight downgrade here.
7:32Obviously, I think it hurts Chica Conqua a little bit, who's kind of a trendy sleeper.
7:37Downgrade, as my friend Peter Overzet said in the Fantasy Life newsletter this morning, downgrade to everyone in the commanders that has a sister.
7:43And then also, I think slight downgrade to Antonio Williams, who we were so excited about, Connor.
7:48I don't think we're going to get to him today.
7:51So let's take one minute here, just because you are Mr.
7:54Rookie. Let's talk about Antonio Williams, his fit in this offense, especially given the addition of Stefan Diggs.
7:59Yeah, he's a guy that I mentioned after the draft.
8:02Like, this was a good player at Clemson, a good slot receiver at Clemson.
8:06He was kind of held back by injuries in the offenses last year there at times.
8:10And because of the opportunity, you throw his name out as a, hey, don't lose sight of this guy.
8:16He can be productive as a rookie. Now with Diggs there, yeah, that's just not going to happen as well.
8:21He's more of a dynasty stash now. And it felt like he had really gone upboards in some of the dynasty drafts I had done.
8:28When he would get drafted, he'd be like, oh, everybody's kind of catching on.
8:32Then Antonio Williams is going to be a factor this year.
8:35So Diggs, for at least a year, we're going to have to put that on hold.
8:40But a player that he can play. And if they deal with an injury, I think he'd be the next man up.
8:46So Antonio Williams, maybe a better developmental outcome for him.
8:49Yeah, so the Diggler, as Stuntman Chuck points out.
8:51Stuntman Chuck's been on fire to start the season, just so you know, Connor.
8:55Does he ever lose his fastball? People are wondering, I don't think so.
8:59He really doesn't. We haven't seen Medici around that much.
9:02Hopefully he'll be back soon, I know. But Stuntman Chuck starting the season.
9:05Like, no offseason for Stuntman Chuck. At any rate, Stefan Diggs back home in the nation's capital.
9:10Played, obviously, college ball at Maryland. So we're excited for the Diggler.
9:13And I think ultimately this is a great landing spot.
9:16It was probably the best possible landing spot for Diggs' fantasy value.
9:19And certainly was the most glaring need, I think, across the NFL in terms of like, you know, a team that needed a wide receiver too.
9:27And it was clearly Washington. So let's move on here.
9:30And I want to start with Jeremiah Love, Connor.
9:32Here's my question to you. So, so far, Tyler Algier has been getting the majority of the first team carries in training camp.
9:39Now, we're six weeks out. But Algier did get the, you know, is somebody who got paid before they drafted Jeremiah Love.
9:45Everyone's shocking at the third overall pick. Um, so my question to you about Jeremiah Love here is, are you comfortable drafting him in the second round?
9:52I don't need you to break down his talent.
9:55It's off the charts. But my question is, is just about role and usage here, at least early on in his career.
10:01Yeah, I am. I think there's going to be better value at the top of the second round, but the deeper you get into it.
10:08And I also think because of how things went for Ashton Gentty last year, even though there should be no correlation, there's
10:14a mini discount on Jeremiah Love that's kind of just corrected him into the draft place he should be in.
10:20If that didn't happen with Gentty last year, Love would probably be overdrafted.
10:23But this is someone to me that, you know, people forget when Mike LaFleur was last calling plays, which was with the
10:29Jets, he had a rookie Brees Hall averaging 5.8 yards per carry.
10:33And then Brees tore his ACL. So, and the Jets, it all went downhill after that.
10:37The Jets were actually rolling and then Brees tore his ACL.
10:40The run game was insane. I asked the floor about this, I think it was about a week ago, and he was
10:47simply like, listen, you have to put the ball in your best player's hands as much as possible.
10:52And we are going to do that with Jeremiah Love.
10:54They are not going to overthink this. I guess the one concern you could have is this Cardinals team is going to
11:01be so overmatched in some games because of the division they play in, that they could be in a significant passing script.
11:07And Jeremiah Love can play in the passing game, but are they actually going to throw him the ball?
11:12Because Michael Wilson is pretty good. I think Marvin Harrison is going to be fine despite the panic.
11:17Trey McBride's amazing. So you just have to wonder what scripts are they playing in?
11:21But I'm comfortable right where he's ranked. You see the RB13 spot right there.
11:25I mean, he's in that bucket with Omarian Hampton, who actually might be undervalued right now.
11:30I think he's in an amazing scheme. He's around Brees Hall.
11:33I would take Jeremiah Love over Brees Hall. I'm taking him over Josh Jacobs.
11:37I guess the combo is more around Chase Brown and Derrick Henry.
11:40But I think he's properly ranked right now. Yeah, I mean, I have him basically right at consensus.
11:45I'm at running back 13. That's where he's going on ADP.
11:48I'm at 24 overall. That's where he's going at ADP.
11:51So I'm right in line with the market. I'm with you on Omarian Hampton.
11:55Look, never wrong. Just early, Connor. Never wrong. Just early.
11:58I still maintain. I might. I might actually. It's been suggested.
12:01I have a new column out today with a bunch of ride or die candidates.
12:05It's at FantasyLife.com. It's also free. So all the kind of some of the finalists for Ride or Die.
12:10Do you have a pitch for me? Lawrence had a pitch for me.
12:14Lawrence's pitch for me was Devante Smith on Monday.
12:17He got pitched by one of the other Fantasy Life people as well.
12:20Do you have a pitch for me? I don't have a great pitch for you right now.
12:25I'm trying to think of somebody that's not. I always try to go deeper cuts with you on this rather than the obvious.
12:31So I'd like to go further, further down the board.
12:34But I like doubling down on Omarian Hampton. No one has pitched that.
12:38My number one is just double down on Omarian Hampton.
12:41I think it would work. And I think it's bold.
12:43And I think people would appreciate that. I don't know if it's gotten too obvious, but he's not a top 30 pick.
12:50So I think it counts. Luther Burden is going to be a monster.
12:53He's going to be a monster. It's a great offense.
12:56He looks good in camp. He's so dynamic with the ball in his hands.
13:00He's got speed to win down the field. They got DJ Moore out of there, which is really the only thing in his way.
13:07And if you want to go tight end, you could take his teammate and Colson Loveland.
13:11Maybe it's too obvious. I don't know. But I would take one of the two guys with the Bears.
13:16That would be my pitch. I think both are suited for a great year.
13:20And let's not forget, Roman Dunsay is talented, but he had a lot of weird injury problems last year.
13:26Are we going to blink in week five of the season?
13:29Luther Burden is getting number one wide receiver targets in a Ben Johnson offense with an ascending quarterback.
13:34Yeah. I mean, like, right. Exactly. I will tell you that both Colson Loveland and Luther Burden were pitched as part of the article.
13:41You'll see that. I've got, like, 15 names, which are great.
13:44But, yeah, I mean, doubling down on Omar in Hampton, I saw somebody suggest online that I should double down on Kyler Murray this year.
13:51I actually do. I'm not going to. But I do think Kyler Murray has a pretty good year with KOC in Minnesota, obviously, as well.
13:58And, listen, I think Burden and Loveland are both are, quote, my guys.
14:01Both are on the finalist list. They're both, you know, I think going to be studs.
14:06So, I think that's right. My only question with Jeremiah Love, just sinking back to this, is, look, I agree with you.
14:12LaFerr's going to get the ball in its hands.
14:14But I could see a scenario. Tell me if you think I'm crazy on this.
14:19And this is why I'm kind of a mid-second round pick, is that remember Jameer Gibbs' rookie year?
14:24This has been my premise. They just – and everyone was like, oh, Jameer Gibbs, 12th overall.
14:28He's such a dynamic playmaker, you know, indoors, blah, blah, blah.
14:32And we were like – that was one of my better calls that year.
14:35I was just like, guys, Dave Montgomery's going three runs later and he's the better player.
14:40I mean, for fantasy. Not that he's the better player.
14:43But just like they want to run the ball with David Montgomery.
14:46And then Gibbs, they're going to try to get him in space.
14:49And he's going to touch the ball 12 to 15 times.
14:53And that's what ended up happening that year. Montgomery had a monster year.
14:56And it wasn't until he got hurt and he was the better fantasy value.
15:00And then, of course, Gibbs just, you know, no pun intended, ran with the job once Montgomery got hurt and it was – you know, everything was over.
15:08But I could see Tyler Algier getting, quote, the majority of – you know, that they have a 12 to 15 play package for Jeremiah Love.
15:15Where they scheme stuff for him. But that if you were going to look up at the box score that the most
15:21snaps played is going to be Algier and he's going to get some of the early – you know, the close-in work and the first and second-line stuff.
15:29The goal line scare is very, very real there.
15:32I think that is the right outlook. Let me give you another crazy one.
15:36Okay. And as you always say, this is based on just outperforming projection.
15:39Baker Mayfield, I think for you right now, is quarterback, what, 21?
15:43Yep, 21. Yeah. No contract. He's pissed as hell.
15:45Yeah. He's going to have to do more for that offense this year.
15:49I understand no Mike Evans. I get it. And Mecca Buka is going to be good.
15:53They have two running backs they can throw to.
15:56He's probably so mad about the money that he's going to try to run more in the red zone.
16:01Baker Mayfield has QB 21 right now. Does he finish as QB 13 and everybody gets insane value on a quarterback no
16:07one's really even thinking about in QB 1 range?
16:10Yeah. I don't hate it. Listen, and Baker's one of my dynasty quarterbacks.
16:14So I would love it if that's correct. I will say that quarter – I mean, like when you start ranking quarterbacks,
16:20you're just like, I can't have Baker this low.
16:22And then you start looking like, well, am I putting – well, no, I can't put him over him.
16:28And I mean, like it just – the position is as deep as I've ever seen it.
16:32So it's pretty incredible. And I will say one of the guys I'm going to talk to with Trevor is Ted Hurst.
16:38And I am pro-Ted Hurst. So we'll talk about the Bucs passing attack a little bit later in the show.
16:44But let's move over to New Orleans. We talked a lot last year, Connor, you and I did about Tyler Shuck.
16:50Shuck around and find out. It's going to be a very popular team name, I think, this year.
16:55So here's my question to you. Who has the better fantasy season?
16:58Tyler Shuck's rookie wide receiver Jordan Tyson or Carnell Tate?
17:01I have them literally right next to each other in my ranks.
17:04I'll go with Tyson. I have Tyson at 63.
17:07I have Tate at 64. So I'm with you.
17:10But I'm curious. Break these guys down for me a little bit.
17:13Of course, everybody's going to gravitate to Carnell Tate because of opportunity.
17:16It's built in. We like Brian Dable. Cam Ward will be better this year.
17:20But it's Tyson to me. Number one, he's just the better player.
17:24I know sometimes we overthink these things in fantasy.
17:26And you could argue that Chris Alave actually helps him.
17:29Like if Carnell Tate walks out on the field and it's, hey, you got the number one corner today.
17:34That's not easy for any rookie, let alone a guy that doesn't win off of speed all the time.
17:40Where Jordan Tyson, Chris Alave is going to garner a lot of attention, especially what he can do down the field where Tyson's a really good separator.
17:47And if he's generated, if he's gaining the, you know, the second corner or then they bump him into the slot at times.
17:54And we feel comfortable about this offense with Tyler Shuck with what we saw down the stretch last year.
17:59I just think Tyson's the better player. And ironically, I'm not getting hung up on the opportunity.
18:04I actually think he's in the better situation. It's just all about health.
18:07But he looks good in camp to me. They were very careful with him in the spring.
18:12They didn't just thrust him into the action to OTAs.
18:15They want to make sure they ramp him up the right way.
18:18I'll be drafting Jordan Tyson at the later portion of drafts like you have him ranked, Matthew.
18:23I don't know how much Carnell Tate I'll really be taking.
18:26Well, you know what? Exactly. And I mean, I traded up to get Tyson in one of my dynasty leagues just because
18:32I'm such a big fan of him and a big fan of him in this offense.
18:37Earlier in the year, earlier in the week, I picked Kellen Moore as my coach of the year candidate during last call.
18:43The other thing is, you mentioned, think about this, right?
18:46To your point, Carnell Tate, they're going to try to throw him deep.
18:49And whereas Tyson can be more of a zone beater, get more manufactured touches, more of the underneath stuff.
18:55Whereas the underneath stuff in Tennessee, that's going to Wondell Robinson.
18:58Right. And you just think about... He paid a lot of money to do that.
19:02Right. I mean, think about the money they paid Wondell Robinson and reunited with Brian Dayball.
19:06And I know this sounds insane to say, but I'd argue actually there's more target competition for Carnell Tate in Tennessee than there is New Orleans.
19:14Because other than Juwan Johnson, shout out to the legend, Juwan Johnson, there's no one in New Orleans that you feel like, oh.
19:20But Shamari Dike had a nice year last year in what was pretty much a lost season for Tennessee.
19:25I'm a big Gunnar Helm guy. I actually think Gunnar Helm is going to have a nice sleeper tight end.
19:31You know, my expectation is that, especially with Robert Sala, they're going to want to run the ball.
19:36So I think you're going to see some Pollard and Spears.
19:39Like, I don't know. I just... I think... Eli Gile Manor had a couple good weeks last year.
19:44Yeah. These guys are just in the way. Right.
19:47And then Calvin Ridley. You know Calvin Ridley's going to have to get some snaps.
19:51Right. You know, Calvin Ridley's going to be still out there running around.
19:55So I just... I don't know. Again, it's razor thin for me.
19:58But yes, give me Jordan Tyson over Carnell Tate.
20:00I also just feel better about the Saints offense in general.
20:04That's it. More in scoring position more often than that.
20:06Let's move to Seattle now. And I want to talk to you about Jadarian Price, who was this trendy fantasy sleeper for
20:12a lot of people, including me, because it's like, well, George Helani and Emmanuel Wilson.
20:17But now a couple of things are happening here.
20:19Number one is, you know, Helani, you know, there's concern that Helani's going to take the passing down work here.
20:25That Price is going to be just a first or second down guy.
20:28So I want you to talk to me a little bit about Price's pass catching ability, because he never really did it at Notre Dame.
20:35But, you know, can he? Is that in his skill set?
20:39And the other thing, the weird one is, is that out of nowhere, Albert Breer drops this like...
20:44And I think Albert Breer is really good. I think he's generally like, you know, one of the better NFL insiders.
20:49He seems really plugged in. Rarely does he tweet something that you're like, well, that didn't happen.
20:54You know what I mean? Like, there's some NFL insiders that are really hit or miss.
20:59I feel like Breer doesn't take that many shots, but when he does, he always nails them.
21:03And Breer is like, ah, you know, there's a chance Charbonnet's going to be ready for week one.
21:09And everyone's like, wait, what? I thought we weren't seeing this guy until week nine.
21:13Right. Wait, Zach Charbonnet, who tore his ACL in the playoffs, is going to be...
21:17Is potentially ready for week one? Because even in a world where he's not ready for week one, Connor, the idea that Charbonnet might...
21:24Like, that we might see him in week five, you know, like, is sort of crazy.
21:28So I'm just curious on your thoughts of Jadarian Price in the Seattle backfield.
21:32I love the player. Love the player. I think, you know, when people got so crazy that they were willing to take
21:38him in the first round, people just got over their skis.
21:41Like, this is a really talented player. To the passing game, he's someone to me that...
21:46Yeah, he didn't do it a lot at Notre Dame in terms of being thrown the ball.
21:51But when he worked out for teams pre-draft, he was great.
21:54The constant feedback I got was, why didn't they throw him the ball?
21:57And it's like, well, Jeremiah Love was there. So the fact is, he's a natural pass catcher.
22:02He's really good in pass pro. And he can hit a home run.
22:06Now, I do worry that they are going to split things up with him.
22:10And then there's the second worry that... Is he going to have a moment during hard knocks that he gets inflated?
22:15Price-wise? Like, I feel like that can happen. It's a weird thing.
22:19But all of a sudden, he becomes a, you know, episode four star of hard knocks or whatever it is.
22:24And then all of a sudden, his ADP rises up and everyone's like, whoa, how did we get here?
22:30So it's one where I love the player. I have no problem taking him in dynasty of where he's slotted.
22:35I don't feel like I'll have much of him in redraft leagues this year because his value and projection is very difficult
22:42to figure out out of the gate for a Seattle team that I can see them getting a little cute and lean
22:48on the veterans and really limit his role early on.
22:50But he's insanely talented. And hopefully he just has too many moments where they're like, what are we doing?
22:56Just give this guy the ball. Yeah. You see it there on your screen.
23:00I'm at running back 26. So I'm right in line with the market, which is where he's going at ADP.
23:05I'm at 69 overall. He's going 67. So I'm slightly lower on him in the consensus.
23:10Again, just the concern of like, hey, we might see Charbonnet sooner than later.
23:14And could Emmanuel Wilson and George Helani not be fantasy factors on their own right, but could they eat enough into price?
23:20But it's good to hear that you really believe in the talent.
23:23Let's move on to a couple of rookie wide receivers here.
23:26I'm curious who you believe will have the better fantasy season.
23:29Makai Lemon, who I have at 98 overall, which is where he's going about 96 overall, or Casey Concepcion from my Texas A&M Aggies, Gig'em.
23:36Now, I have Concepcion at 113. So I have Makai Lemon ranked higher than Concepcion, obviously, 98 to 113 overall, wide receiver 45 to wide receiver 50.
23:44But I am much higher than consensus on Concepcion.
23:47I am at 113 overall. His currently ADP is 132 overall, whereas Makai Lemon, I'm basically right in market.
23:52So I'm just curious, getting down around there, it's more about, you know, who's got the ability to sort of break out.
23:58Who do you think has the better fantasy season this year?
24:01Makai Lemon or Casey Concepcion? It's interesting because you would think being inserted into an Eagles offense that just got rid of A.J.
24:08Brown, the no-brainer answer is Makai Lemon. And all the volatility of the Browns quarterback situation, whether it's the Sean Watson, whether
24:14it's Shador Sanders, that gives Makai Lemon another edge.
24:16But it's weird to say, I kind of trust Todd Munkin to scheme touches better to Casey Concepcion, where I wonder if
24:22there's a different floor for Concepcion than there is for Lemon.
24:25I mean, where he was drafted, Lemon should undoubtedly be the more impactful player over a full year stretch.
24:31The Eagles are totally changing their offense, where if you read into camp reports and stats, you shouldn't be expecting perfection right out of the gate here.
24:38So the answer by nature is Lemon, but I don't think there's the gap that we're currently seeing right now in fantasy.
24:44And then, you know, I kind of wonder, like, is Denzel Boston just going to be better than both of these guys on the right?
24:51That's kind of where I look at it like he's going to catch more touchdowns.
24:56He's more physical. Munkin's going to have him on the field more.
24:59So, you know, and you see right there, Denzel Boston has been the talk of camp.
25:04I had some separation concerns with Lemon coming out of college, but I think he's a really good possession threat against zone.
25:10And by nature, he just has to get targets in that offense.
25:13That's why they took him where they did. But that's a really, really tricky one.
25:17I think it's a lot closer than people would think.
25:20Yeah, look, and what I would say here is I see bricks and flannels and Casey Concepcion, and I just have to
25:26give a shout out to whoever threw in there, Jadarian Price check as a fantasy team name, by the way.
25:32The regular's on fire as always. But, Connor, I agree with what you're saying here in terms of Casey Concepcion having more
25:38of a floor because he is that gadgety kind of player where those scheme touches for him the way that Munkin did with Zay Flowers in Baltimore.
25:46That's exactly it, Matthew. That matters a lot. And I could certainly see Boston have a better year than both of them.
25:52I have a weird theory here, and I know Makai Lemon in terms of draft capital and insanely talented, but I did
25:58Scott Fishbowl last month, which is a, for people who aren't aware, it's a super deep league, and there's no trading.
26:04It's a big charity league. 5,000 people are in this tournament.
26:07And so you have to sort of swing for the fences and come up with weird roster builds, especially because the scoring's odd.
26:13But my second round last pick was Dontavian Wicks.
26:16Like, I've always thought Dontavian Wicks was like a better wide receiver than the run.
26:20You know, he would show these flashes, but he could just never get enough run in Green Bay.
26:25Reunited with Sean Mannion, who was the passing game coordinator with the Packers, and now obviously he's going to be the new guy calling the plays in Philadelphia.
26:33To your point, they're going to change the offense.
26:35They're going to throw more this year. They're absolutely going to throw more under former NFL quarterback Sean Mannion.
26:41And Hurts has generally not been a guy that throws over the middle a lot.
26:45And I don't know if that's because he's had A.J.
26:48Brown and Devontae Smith on the outside for so long, like he didn't really need to, or if it's just like where he's more comfortable.
26:55Right. But I just wonder if at least for the first half of the season, if the Eagles wide receiver you want
27:01is Dontavian Wicks, not Makai Lemon, at least at cost.
27:04I think so. Yeah, I definitely think so. One has, you know, a little bit more name brand value where the other
27:10one just might be more ready to fit into offense from day one.
27:14So I think I'm in line with you there.
27:16Yeah. I mean, we're excited about him long-term, Makai Lemon.
27:19But yeah, I don't know. I just, I mean, whatever.
27:22Dontavian Wicks is free at the end of drafts there.
27:24But we like both Concepcion and Lemon. I know, Connor, earlier this week you were at Jets Camp, of course, on the
27:318 million podcasts you do, including Badlands, the second best Jets podcast out there.
27:35Just not as good as Worst Lands. But, by the way, I could actually, now that I'm no longer at NBC now, I could actually start Worst Lands.
27:42Maybe I could actually. Think about it. I should.
27:45Give it a shot. See how it does. See how it does.
27:48I'll promote it. Thank you. I appreciate that. But here's a question.
27:52So I know you were at Jets Camp. Who's going to have a better, who's going to have a bigger role in the Jets offense?
27:59Kenyon Sadiq or Omar Cooper? And I know Sadiq got injured.
28:02He's going to miss a couple of weeks, but it sounds like it's not serious.
28:06But a rookie missing a few weeks in camp is important, especially for an offense.
28:10But talk to me about what you see. Who's going to have a bigger role in this offense?
28:15Kenyon Sadiq or Omar Cooper? Frank Reich does love him some tight ends.
28:19He does. Jelani Woods is at Jets Camp hanging around.
28:22I mean, making plays. So it really goes back to it.
28:25Kenyon Sadiq was Reich's guy. Reich had to have him in the draft.
28:28So if you asked me this a week ago, I would have said Kenyon Sadiq pretty easily.
28:33And then, of course, I go to practice Tuesday.
28:36Sadiq's not out there in the presser. Coach Glenn walks up to the podium right away and tells all of us, hey,
28:42Sadiq's going to be he's going to miss some time.
28:45And, you know, there's a follow up. He's going to be ready for week one.
28:49Yeah, we think so. But can he afford to miss camp?
28:52Right. With all the different ways they're going to use him.
28:55And Omar Cooper is out there like Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell.
28:58They like their return man, Isaiah Williams, in the screen game in some ways in offense as well.
29:03So they use four different receivers. But Omar Cooper is out there and involved.
29:07And he looks the part right away. Now, I think Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell's target share is definitely in the way for rookie Omar Cooper.
29:14But I think Omar Cooper will have the bigger impact than Kenyon Sadiq out of the gate.
29:19This is a it's not a big injury in the big picture.
29:22I think it's a big injury in the fantasy picture where Sadiq could have hit the ground running week one with how excited they were to use him.
29:30And now you have to wonder, are we going to be looking at a late October, early November kind of runway for
29:36that where he's a bigger part of the offense?
29:39So I'll go with Cooper. But I think the two receivers you want for the Jets out of the gate is obviously Garrett Wilson.
29:45But Adonai Mitchell, Geno Smith looks his way, loves the guy.
29:48There's a rapport there. There's a new life for Adonai Mitchell in Florham Park.
29:52By the way, I like this. I like this comment.
29:55Who's going to have the biggest role in the Jets offense?
29:58Probably whoever whatever corner picks off Geno. So I like that.
30:01Yeah, that might be the person that catches the most.
30:04How is Geno looking? It's one day, but like, you know, it's practice.
30:08And Geno is a guy that you never worry about the arm.
30:11I mean, he could throw the heck out of the football.
30:14He you know what I like about Geno, Matthew selfishly, when you go to practice, he does not care about throwing interceptions.
30:20He's going to challenge the defense down the field.
30:23He doesn't care about it in the games. So, you know, at least he's out there last year practice with Justin Fields.
30:29Everything was hold the ball, hold the ball, hold the ball.
30:32Geno's challenging all three levels of the field. He's making the wide receivers better.
30:36He's making the defensive backs better. It feels like the Jets from just a passing metric taking away Justin Fields rushing ability
30:42went from about the 36th best passing quarterback to somewhere in the 20 to 25th.
30:46So that's kind of how you have to look at it.
30:50Like, that's a big jump. It's not the perfect, but it's a big jump for Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell, maybe Brees Hall.
30:56Yeah, look, and if the defense is just, you know, decent.
30:59Mediocre? Yeah, right. Exactly. Then, like, the Jets are dangerously close to being competent, right?
31:03You know, we got a shot at mediocrity. Quietly average would be amazing.
31:07Yeah, exactly. Which is, you know, reviews on this show.
31:09Hey, last one before I get you out of here, Connor.
31:12And I'm sorry we, you know, we're catching up so much.
31:16So I apologize to the regulars that we couldn't get more people in here.
31:20But last one before I get you out of here.
31:22As anyone that's watched Happy Hour, the previous versions of it, like, they know that, like, my secret weapon in my Dynasty Leagues is you.
31:29That I'm in this stupid, crazy Dynasty League where we do the draft before any NFL, before the NFL draft has happened.
31:35So you have to pick play. It's so insane.
31:38So we have to pick the rookies. And it's a 33-man roster with four-man IR, 12-team league.
31:43So it goes, like, crazy deep. Anyone with a pulse is rostered in this league.
31:47So, and you have to draft rookies before, you know, their NFL landing spot.
31:51So, but you are the secret weapon. You're the reason I have Kyle Monongai.
31:55You're the reason I have Tyrone Tracy in this league.
31:58Give me a deep sleeper. We're going to talk kind of the deeper guys here with Trevor.
32:02But give me your deep sleeper this year that could make an impact in fantasy, maybe the second half of the year.
32:09Well, sadly, I think the cat's out of the bag with Cyrus Allen.
32:12That was the guy, you know, you look, I looked in the draft during the process.
32:17I'm like, this guy was snubbed throughout the entire draft process.
32:20I had an early fourth round grade on him.
32:22I thought he was better than a lot of receivers that were taken ahead of him.
32:27But then you make a couple of plays from Patrick Mahomes in Chiefs camp and everybody knows your name.
32:32So I think the cat's out of the bag with Cyrus Allen.
32:35I'll still go back to an old favorite with Jonah Coleman.
32:39Jonah Coleman to me was a second round grade.
32:41Jonah Coleman was the best running back after the two Notre Dame guys and Jeremiah Love and Jadarian Price.
32:46And I didn't think it was particularly close. He goes to Denver, who should always be good at running the ball and
32:53a Denver team that the guys in front of him, JK Dobbins, we like him.
32:57He gets hurt every year. And RJ Harvey, it just feels like, is he going to take the next step?
33:02We don't know. Jonah Coleman is going to block Jonah Coleman and give him four yards.
33:07He's going to get six. Right. And Sean Payton might gravitate to a guy at some point like that.
33:12So Jonah Coleman to me is a really, really interesting stash and a player that, you know, I'd love to have in Dynasty when I can get him.
33:20I think there's going to be a day where he leads the Broncos backfield.
33:24Yeah. I mean, obviously, JK Dobbins has struggled with his injury history.
33:27Jonah Coleman is one of my favorite sleepers this year as well.
33:31RJ Harvey, they saw what they, you know, RJ Harvey got an extended look as a lead running back last year.
33:36And Denver's response was like, yeah, we're going to bring back JK Dobbins and draft Jonah Coleman.
33:41Like they, I just, just, so I think there's an opportunity there.
33:45We're going to talk about Jonah Coleman a little bit later with, with Trevor, but, but I like both those calls.
33:51My only question on Cyrus Allen, I know you love the player is that like, it's so funny in the fantasy community.
33:57Cause it's gone from like Cyrus Allen, sleeper, sleeper, sleeper.
33:59Then to other people being like, oh yeah, well, what about sky more?
34:03What about generic Prince? Where about like, you know, think about all, think about all every feels like every year there's one
34:09fifth, sixth, seventh round rookie that gets a bunch of buzz in, in chiefs camp.
34:13And other than Isaiah Pacheco, I can't remember any one of them hitting.
34:17Yeah. It's that's the problem with it. Right. Is that what is the, now I just think he's a good player, which helps here with the other guys.
34:25It's like, but I do think now that's why I said, I wasn't going to actually pick him when you asked the
34:31question, because it's, it always goes too far. Like we get to the end of August, like all the guys I really liked in may aren't fun anymore.
34:39So, um, and I saw Sean Payton just said, Jonah Coleman doesn't feel like a rookie.
34:43So I feel like that one's not going to be fun in a couple of weeks as well, but let's enjoy it while we have it.
34:51No doubt. Listen, uh, I've enjoyed it while I've had you Connor.
34:54Hopefully this is not last time we get you, but I got to get you out of here.
34:59I know, uh, at Connor J Rogers on, uh, on Twitter at Connor James Rogers on the gram.
35:04We will all check out NFL stock exchange. We will check out badlands.
35:08And of course Sims unbuttoned over at NBC sports, looking forward to, uh, seeing you all year long in a bunch of different places.
35:15And again, could not be more thrilled to have NFL stock exchange in a partnership with fantasy life.
35:20So, uh, love you brother. Thanks so much. I love you too, man.
35:23Thanks for having me. This was a blast. Um, we're super excited about stock exchange and fantasy life.
35:28Shout out to all the regulars in the chat.
35:31I've been watching it. It's so cool to see the familiar faces.
35:34I love how they always turn out, uh, and give Trevor a hello for me.
35:38It's not like I didn't talk to him 12 hours ago.
35:41Later guys. We'll do. All right. We're going to get Connor out of here.
35:45We're going to get Tampa Bay Trey himself in here right after this.
35:49All right. We are back at the happy hour set.
35:52Uh, thanks to Connor Rogers for stopping by, but his, um, his more popular, more handsome and, uh, more beloved co-host on
35:58NFL stock exchange, Trevor Sycamut at Tampa Bay Trey here is, uh, is, is with us now.
36:03Thank you so much for, you know, it's interesting, you know, Connor, you know, Connor, we give him what, think about what we, Connor, we give him.
36:10Oh, Jadarian price. Oh, Carnell Tate, Jordan Tyson, where you are actually going to go a little bit deeper.
36:16And I know we could talk like sixth round defensive tackles with, with either one of you guys, but you know, you're
36:22going to give us the real sleepers, the deeper guys, the guys that people haven't heard of, or maybe they haven't done
36:28as much research on to date as some of the bigger name guys.
36:32Um, but, uh, I get a chance to say to you, uh, what I said to Connor, which is we're so excited
36:38about NFL stock exchange being part of the fantasy life family now.
36:41So thank you so much. Yes. Yeah, we are as well.
36:44One, I appreciate you having me on the show.
36:47This can be fun to talk about a little bit of rookies here.
36:50It is funny. Like sometimes Connor and I do all of this work, like to, to cover the draft and we've got
36:57all this information and then the draft happens and there's like, all right, next class.
37:01And it's almost like we never talk about these guys again.
37:04So getting more of a fantasy perspective with a lot of these guys gives us a chance to talk about them a
37:10little bit more, but yes, we're so excited to partner with you guys really enjoyed, uh, working with everybody over fantasy life already.
37:16It's been so much fun and I know it's going to be a great year.
37:21Partner with you guys. So I'm super excited about it.
37:23Appreciate, appreciate that Trevor. Well, I don't know if you heard cause you were, you were backstage, but, um, uh, your boy Connor stole Jonah Coleman.
37:31My first question to you was how does Jonah Coleman fit into this Broncos backfield?
37:35But Connor a little bit stole your thunder, but just tell me, do you agree with this?
37:40Like Connor loves the player. I kind of, I love the opportunity here only just because first off, Sean Payton always uses
37:46multiple, uh, running backs in a shot and Peyton's two of his three years as the Denver head coach.
37:51He's had three different running back back, see 80 or more touches in two of the three years.
37:56Right. And so I think immediately you get Coleman, Dobbins and Harvey all touching the ball.
38:01And I think there's a chance that Coleman is just the winds up being the best player of them over the second half of the year.
38:08Connor seems to agree. Are you with us on this one or do you have a different take?
38:13Yeah. Sometimes when you get these rookie running backs in different systems, like let's say they start the year as like RB
38:19three, like they might not get carries as RB three.
38:22Right. But in Sean Payton system, it's a little bit different.
38:25And I liked the point that you made, cause I was listening while I was backstage where you talked about the fact
38:31that this team and Sean Payton specifically got an extensive look at RJ Harvey and anybody who listens to stock exchange knows
38:37that I'm a big RJ Harvey guy. I'm glad that he got some opportunities.
38:41And I still think he's going to get some this year, but if they wanted to lean all the way into RJ
38:47Harvey, they would have not to say that they would have said, Hey, you're going to get all the carries and we're
38:54not going to care what happens elsewhere. You mentioned that they like this group to be deep, but I think he knows
39:00Sean Payton knows we love JK Dobbins. The fact of the matter is he's never played a 17 game season.
39:05He's had the major injuries throughout his career. And if you want Jonah Coleman to be able to step into those types
39:12of carries, you can't do so by just stashing them on the sideline the whole time that JK Dobbins is healthy and
39:18thinking, all right, well, when Dobbins goes down, there's Jonah Coleman and he's just going to be exactly what we think he's going to be.
39:25He has to get carries. And I think that this team knows that.
39:28And when you watch Jonah Coleman at Washington, the reason why Connor and I liked him a lot and felt like he
39:35was truly being overthought by a lot of other people is because he's just really solid at everything.
39:40Does he have elite athleticism? No, but like Connor said, when he was talking about him, if the offensive line blocks well
39:46enough to where they're going to give him four yards, he's going to get six or seven out of it.
39:51And so that's why I think that when you look at the floor in which he brings how he approaches the game
39:57and the reason why he's able to stand out already in training camp where Sean Peyton is shouting him out by name
40:04already is because he's already a pro. We felt like we saw that over the last couple of years with him when he was in that Huskies offenses.
40:11Yeah, this guy just looks like another NFL running back.
40:14You reminded me a lot of David Montgomery who just does what you want him to do.
40:19And he's able to be a reliable player when it comes to the money down situations, getting first downs on third downs,
40:25but then specifically for a fantasy football perspective, you're he's I think he's going to get opportunities in the red zone.
40:31I don't know if it's going to come right away at the beginning.
40:35But I think this guy is going to get touchdown opportunities as the season goes on because that's the kind of back he is.
40:41Brick and flannel is pointing out Sean Peyton hates your hates your fantasy team.
40:45You're not wrong, Rick and flannels, although I will say that in two of the three years that Sean Peyton's been the
40:52head coach of the Denver Broncos, they've been top 10 in the NFL in terms of running back fantasy points.
40:57Now, again, the frustration part is that it's a it's a collective as opposed to any one player.
41:02But again, we've seen it with Alvin Kamara. We've seen it in flashes with RJ Harvey last year.
41:07Like when one guy can get the run for Sean Peyton, that running back is going to put up a lot of fantasy points.
41:14And so I think the three of us are saying you mean Connor is that we think there's a better than average
41:20chance that over the second half of the year, whether it's because of injury or an efficiency by RJ Harvey that, you
41:26know, injury to Dobbins or an efficiency with Harvey that Jonah Coleman could, you know, take over this backfield and kind of
41:32be the lead back and kind of a, you know, RB two that you can count on to get at least 15 touches in a game.
41:40All right, Trevor, it's your first time. It's your first time being on a show with me.
41:45Connor, of course, did four years of it every day for four years.
41:48So he's well used to this. But I've got to ask you a commander's question.
41:52I asked Connor about Stefan Diggs, but I want to talk to you about Katron Allen.
41:57Connor mentioned him very briefly at the top. But as we look at this backfield in Washington, you know, we mentioned it.
42:03We've got Bill, right? We've got Ja'Cory Krosky-Meritt. Everyone calls him Bill.
42:06We've got Bill. We've got Rashad White. Jeremy Nichols is still hanging around.
42:10But what about Katron Allen from Penn State, right?
42:13I believe, I think he went in the fourth round.
42:15Talk to me a little about Katron Allen. Could he take this backfield over?
42:19Matthew, he should have gone in the first round.
42:22He didn't go to the sixth. And Connor and I were doing the live stream with BR.
42:27And we're like, how is this possible? Because he's just so much better than a sixth round running back.
42:32So you talk about guys who are drafted a little bit later, who maybe people aren't paying attention to.
42:37Katron Allen, one, he was at Penn State for four years.
42:40He was a productive back for them for all four seasons.
42:43The reason why he wasn't in the NFL after declaring after juniors, because, OK, he's not the most athletic guy out there.
42:50And I do think there was a little bit of a, hey, let's all kind of come back.
42:55You know, I'm going to come back. Nick Singleton is going to come back.
42:58We're going to have a great offense. It didn't pan out the way that they wanted to.
43:03But going back to Katron Allen's beginnings, Matthew, he scored 10 touchdowns as a true freshman.
43:08He scored 15 touchdowns last season. I mean, that's just what this guy does.
43:12Yards after contact monster. Loves when he is able to lower the shoulder and really bring the boom against any defender.
43:18DB, linebacker, defensive lineman. He's not afraid of any of that.
43:21And when we talk about players who can really stand out in fantasy football, and we'll talk about this with a couple
43:27of other guys that I know we're going to discuss.
43:30It's not just about like volume targets, touches. Sometimes you have to think about the types of touches, the types of targets.
43:36And you kind of have to look around the depth chart, what the offense wants to do.
43:40And when I look at this commander's backfield, they need a power back.
43:44And I think that's going to be Katron Allen because I'm a Bucs guy, so I know Rashad White very well.
43:50Good third down player, good pass protector, good pass catcher out of the backfield.
43:54But he's not the guy that you necessarily want lower on the shoulder on those early down or short yardage situations, red zone situations all the time.
44:01I think that's going to be Katron Allen. So, Ja'Cory Krosky-Merritt, he's got the highest ceiling when it comes to the dynamic ability out of the backfield.
44:09But Katron Allen gives you that floor. And again, if you are in any sort of a league that emphasizes touchdowns as
44:15your main mode of getting points, this guy should be high on your radar of somebody that you really keep an eye
44:21on, maybe draft a little bit later and just stash on the team or keep a very close eye when it comes to the waiver wire.
44:29You know, it's so interesting the way you describe Katron Allen because what I will tell you is is that this is
44:35one of the nuggets that was in my rumors I heard at the combine, at the NFL combine, right?
44:40And I talked to a front office source in Washington.
44:43And, you know, one of the things they said to me then was like that they really liked Ja'Cory Krosky-Merritt.
44:49They like, and this is before they had Rashad White and everything like that, but they really liked Bill.
44:54They think they found something in him, obviously. But the phrase that was used to me is, it's like, we could use a thumper.
45:01You know, and like, again, like, right, Krosky-Merritt is a little more twitchy, right?
45:05And not something that you want to, again, lower your shoulder and send into the middle of the line, you know, 15, 20 times a game.
45:12And so they were rumored to be in on Jeremiah Love.
45:15You know, obviously there was talk that if Jeremiah Love was there at seven for them, that, you know, he was high on their list.
45:22And so obviously Love wasn't available, but, you know, and again, even though he went in the sixth round, thank you for correcting me there.
45:29The fact is, is that Bill went in the seventh round last year.
45:33Adam, you know, think about Adam Peters who came from San Francisco, which is, you know, the Kings of finding, you know,
45:39you know, late round running backs, right? San Francisco, like every year there's a late round running back that they, you know,
45:45Matt, that goes to Matt Breida, right? Shout out Matt Breida, wherever he is.
45:49Like, so, um, Katron Allen, I think is very interesting as kind of a late round flyer because I think it's going to be a good offense.
45:56They're not going to want Jaden Daniels to run.
45:59And I think people will be scared because there are so many mouths to feed in that, that backfield.
46:04But I also, you know, as, as my friend Jay Croucher says, and we'll get Jay on the show here when he's back from out of town.
46:12But, uh, as Jay likes to say, where there's chaos, there's opportunity.
46:15And because there's so much uncertainty in that backfield, one of those guys potentially could emerge.
46:20I know they're going to want multiple guys, but think about this offense.
46:23David Blau, their new offense coordinator is basically a Ben Johnson disciple, right?
46:27He's, it's going to be basically a version of the Ben Johnson's offense from Detroit.
46:31They want to run the ball to set up the pass.
46:34So, um, I like, I like the Katron Allen call, uh, quite a bit.
46:38Let's talk, uh, let's move to San Francisco now.
46:41Um, I don't know. I feel so bad for this kid.
46:44I don't know that I've ever seen a guy come into the NFL with more worse injury luck than Ricky Pearsall.
46:50Just, just awful. And like, I'm not trying to make light of it, but you know, the joke's been made a lot
46:56that it's crazy that his healthiest season was the season he got shot.
46:59Right. I mean, like, again, I'm not trying to make light of it, but like, it's insane to think about.
47:05Right. I mean, like, that's how awful the luck has been for Ricky Pearsall.
47:09Right. And by the way, credit to the man, young man for coming back from that.
47:13It's insane. Right. I mean, like, I mean, no, I mean, like, listen, I'm a Ricky Pearsall fan.
47:18This is, I'm not throwing shade at all. This is, it's, I feel so terrible for the kid.
47:23Um, and I'm rooting for him to come back.
47:26It's unbelievable what this guy has had to go through.
47:29Uh, but, uh, he is out for the year.
47:31And when an injury happens, the fact is, is that there is a fantasy impact of that.
47:36We're a fantasy football show. So we've got to deal with it.
47:39So you've got Mike Evans who's, you know, it seems like he's getting dealing with a little bit of a nagging injury, but it's early in camp.
47:47They re-signed Debo Samuel, Christian Kirk. He got banged up a little bit, but also Dijon Stribling.
47:52Now this is a guy that no one seemed to, I wouldn't thought that 49ers reached for him.
47:57So I have a two-part question, which is bad in interviewing, by the way, for you kids out there, but I'm going to do a two-part question anyway.
48:05Number one is, is did you agree with sort of the, the pre-draft chatter that he was overdrafted?
48:10Um, cause I know there's been some spin afterwards, like, oh no, so many teams had him high on the list.
48:16And then the second thing is, is like, are you buying some of this buzz with Stribling?
48:20Whether it's because he's impressing in camp, whether because the opportunity is there, given the injury to Pearsall, where are you on Dijon, on Dijon Stribling?
48:28So I had him as a second round type of pick.
48:31Now, did I think that he was going to go as high as he did in the second round?
48:36No. Cause that's basically a fringe first round pick, but I was on the higher side of Dijon Stribling.
48:41And the reason why is because man, when Trididad Chambliss, the quarterback at Ole Miss, when he really got into a groove
48:48and became the starter there, Stribling became his go-to.
48:50I mean, as Ole Miss's offense went, so did that connection between those two guys.
48:54And it didn't matter whether it was, you know, short passes, short targets, intermediate targets, vertical targets.
48:59Like he was able to win in a variety of different ways.
49:02So I am a big Dijon Stribling fan. Now I get nervous with him having a soft tissue injury already here in camp.
49:09Cause he's got like the hamstring tightness and he's kind of, they're, they're being very cautious with them as they need to.
49:15But if you tell me that it's like, no, no, his hamstring is fine.
49:19We're giving a little bit of rest. The hamstring is good to go.
49:23I would tell you that this is somebody who is going to get a decent amount of targets.
49:28I almost said a serious amount of targets, but I don't know the exact numerical value that's different between a decent amount
49:34of targets and a serious amount of targets. But I think there's room in this offense for him to really flourish even as a rookie.
49:41And I think that Kyle Shanahan and this offense very clearly is just going to give the ball to whoever is going to produce for them.
49:48And whether it's health, whether it's age, experience, continuity and rhythm with Brock Purdy, whatever that looks like.
49:53Like I really do think that Deshaun, if he didn't have this hamstring tightness right now, I'd kind of be on my
49:59soapbox telling people to draft him in fantasy. Cause, cause I really, cause I really do.
50:04He's got, he's got that experience being that go-to player.
50:07Like we saw with him last year at Ole Miss.
50:09I think he's got the total skill set to be able to stand out.
50:13And yeah, I just think that a lot of opportunity is there for him.
50:17If he is healthy, I think they're going to get him very, very involved in this offense.
50:22Stuntman Chuck pointing out that Deshaun is actually pronounced A-chan, which I like.
50:26Correct. Well done. Yes. Well done, Stuntman Chuck. Yeah.
50:28I mean, look, we always talk about in fantasy, production comes from talent and opportunity.
50:32You're speaking well about his talent and obviously there is opportunity in what should be a pretty good Niners offense with Brock
50:38Purdy, who I think always gets overlooked as a quarterback.
50:41You know, it's interesting. We talked, I talked in the first segment with Connor about Casey Concepcion.
50:46Concepcion and Makai Lemon. I said, who do you, which one of those guys do you think has a better fantasy season, Lemon or Concepcion?
50:53And so we talked through that, but, you know, Connor then said, like, honestly, Denzel Boston might have a better year than both those guys.
51:00Correct. Are we overlooking Denzel Boston in fantasy drafts here?
51:03I think so. I think a lot of people look at the Browns offense and the question mark that is there at the quarterback position.
51:10And they're really just doubting a lot of what the pass catchers can be.
51:14And that's fair. I understand that. But when I, so when I broke into this business, my first full-time gig was as
51:20a beat reporter for Pewter Report covering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
51:23The head coach at the time was Dirk Cutter.
51:26The offensive coordinator at the time was Todd Munkin.
51:28And I always loved getting to hear from Todd Munkin because I love the way in which he approached the game, how
51:34aggressive he wanted to be to get his weapons in the right position to be the biggest mismatches.
51:39It's really where I saw them involve Mike Evans as a slot receiver, this big slot type of receiver for the first time.
51:46They would get very creative with him and with Chris Godwin being in and out of the slot and where these guys could line up.
51:53They had Deshaun Jackson in the mix for a couple of years there as well when they were running that offense.
51:59And it was a potent offense. I think people kind of overlook that because that was, you know, around the time when
52:05Jameis Winston was having the 30 for 30, 30 touchdowns, 30 interception season.
52:08And so it was kind of a circus. But I think people forget that the Buccaneers had one of the more explosive offenses in the NFL.
52:16I've always been a Todd Munkin believer. And with that being said, you look at this roster right now with the Cleveland.
52:22And if it's not Cedric Tillman, who they've had on the roster for multiple years now, who's playing X?
52:27Who's playing X for this team? It's not going to be Jerry Judy.
52:31It's not going to be Casey Concepcion. It's not going to be Isaiah Bond.
52:35It's not going to be Tylan Wallace. It can kind of be Harold Fannin Jr.
52:39But I think they're going to want him to be more of a move chess piece type of a player.
52:45Denzel Boston is going to play. And I had Denzel Boston ranked 21st overall on my big board last year.
52:50So I felt he should have been a first round pick.
52:53I felt like he was overlooked when it came to the draft.
52:57And I think that, yes, up to this point, I feel like he's getting overlooked just because of the question marks of that quarterback position.
53:04But somebody's got to catch the football throughout 17 games.
53:06And I think that Denzel Boston is going to catch a hell of a game.
53:11Well, you know, and obviously, especially when they get in close in the red zone.
53:15I mean, listen, I am a Cedric Tillman believer.
53:17Me and Connor, like, you know, club set is always open.
53:20But so I'm hanging tough with Cedric Tillman. But I might be the last.
53:24I mean, I might be the last one remaining.
53:27You know what I mean? Like, it's to your point.
53:30Like, he's been out there. It's going to be you and Connor.
53:33It's going to be because he loves Cedric Tillman.
53:36I do too. So it's going to be you and Connor.
53:39We do. Club set is always open. Hey, all right.
53:41So you started your career at Pewter Report. Is that where Tampa Bay Trey came from?
53:46Like, when you started, you're like, OK, now I got to get a social media handle.
53:50Tampa Bay Trey. It is. Yes. You know, I will say that my name at Trevor Sykema and got banned by Twitter
53:57because I was tweeting out clips of game footage from the NFL.
54:00So I did have that. Once that one went away, then, yes, I was like, all right, Tampa Bay Trey.
54:05That sounds cool. It associates me with Tampa when I was covering the team full time.
54:10So, yes, that is the origin. Yeah. And it rolls off the tongue.
54:14It's a good name, right? The Tampa Bay Trey.
54:16And it leads us into my next question. I'm sure I don't have as good of Tampa Bay sources as you do,
54:22but I have a pretty good Tampa Bay source who told me that Ted Hurst is absolutely killing it in camp and
54:28that they love him and that we obviously know Emeka Abuka is going to be outside on one side and we're going to have Godwin in the slot.
54:36But I think there's a chance. I don't know if it's week one or week eight, but I think there's a decent
54:42chance that Ted Hurst is the number three jumping McMillan, jumping Tess Johnson, any of those guys and that right.
54:48He's that's your starting three for Baker Mayfield. Am I crazy on this?
54:52No, I don't think that you are. And when it comes to, hey, is he wide receiver three on this team?
54:58I think that question and the answer to it's a little bit more nuanced.
55:02It's a little bit more complex because Jalen McMillan might still get more targets than Ted Hurst.
55:06But when you talk about guys who are going to play more snaps hurts.
55:10Yeah, I mean, he he he is somebody again like going back to what we talked about with Denzel Boston playing the
55:16X who's going to play on the line of scrimmage as the main X receiver if it's not Ted Hurst, because Emek
55:23Ibuka, he's a great move wide receiver. Now, Emek Ibuka can play the X if you needed him to, but he's great as a move receiver.
55:30You love him as a flanker, as a Z.
55:32You love him in the slot when he's got space.
55:35Jalen McMillan's great in the slot as well. And then Chris Godwin, like you mentioned, is sort of best in the slot.
55:41So you have these three receivers that, you know, are all going to play, but all three of them kind of play two wide receiver spots.
55:49They play that Z and then they play that slot.
55:51Hurst is real. The only other. I mean, like Godwin obviously can play the X as well, but they really like him inside.
55:58The only real snap count competition for playing that on the line of scrimmage X receiver guy who's going to get vertical
56:04guy who's going to be a red zone threat for him guy who is going to be in there in the blocking
56:10game as well when they are running the football.
56:13That's kind of Ted Hurst job. And that's why they drafted him to be that type of player.
56:18So I think you draft them at the end of day two on a reason for a reason.
56:23And that's because they see a streamlined role for this guy to get on the field.
56:27And I think there is a streamlined role also for specific targets that will really just be allocated to his receiver spot
56:33and the skill set that he has as a taller, but also a little bit more explosive of a vertical threat there.
56:40Yeah. And with Mike Evans gone, obviously there's opportunity there.
56:42Worth noting, the Buccaneers second in the NFL in cumulative wide receiver target share last season, 67%.
56:47Again, we like Baker Mayfield. We like this offense.
56:50So I tweeted this out. At some point this season, Ted Hurst is going to be a thing.
56:55I'm just telling you. I agree. A couple of last ones for you here, Trevor, and then we'll get you out of here.
57:01But I want to talk about Malachi Fields, right?
57:04I look at this, first off, like, you know, we joked in the offseason, but it's just like, you know, the Giants
57:10treating old wide receivers like Infinity Stones. Like they're collecting them, right?
57:13I mean, Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney's out there, Malik Nabors obviously waiting for his, he's coming out.
57:18We've seen Odell Beckham Jr. footage. But talk to me about Malachi Fields in this Giants wide receiver room, because while it's crowded, there's also opportunity.
57:25I don't know. Other than Malik Nabors, there's no one where you're like, well, that guy's definitely getting on the field.
57:31Right. And I feel like a broken record here, but it's, it's the specific opportunities of these bigger X receiver type of players in this offense.
57:38And when you look at what Jackson Dart really wants to do was he, he wants to push the ball deep down the field.
57:45Like that is how he wants to play. And sure.
57:48Yes. Darius Slayton can do that, but so can Malachi Fields and Malachi Fields.
57:52He's got some unique explosiveness for his size. He's great in contested catch situations.
57:56Uh, I feel like he's going to fit like a glove into what Jackson Dart wants to do.
58:01I think Malik Nabors is going to be the do it all type of receiver for them, but Jackson Dart, you know, I can just see it now.
58:09He snaps the ball on the shotgun. Maybe he's looking towards Calvin Austin or Isaiah likely or, or Malik Nabors way.
58:15Hey, they're covered. Okay. Now the pressure's coming. I got to scramble.
58:18Now I'm scrambling out of the pocket. I got to look deep.
58:21Who's deep. Malachi Fields is deep. I know throughout practice, I've thrown him a lot of jump balls, 50, 50 balls, and he's come down with it.
58:29That's going to be Jackson Dart's like almost security blanket type of player when he's looking to throw the ball vertical.
58:35If he's getting out of the pocket, which we know he likes to do from when he was at Ole Miss.
58:41And then of course, what we saw from him a little bit last year is the giant starter.
58:46So to me, Nabors is going to be wide receiver one for them in all situations, no matter what he is their go-to.
58:52But outside of that, there's a real vertical role, especially as a contested catch guy that I think if Fields just has
58:58a handful of catches throughout the preseason, throughout training camp, whatever it is, practices where Jackson Dart goes, that's my guy 20 yards down the field.
59:06That's the role that I think can sustain throughout the entire season of somebody who, yeah, of course, like that is much
59:12more of a boomer bus type of a role.
59:14But again, if you're rolling the dice, if you're in bi-week hell, if whatever it is, and you got the opportunity to
59:20play him and say, hey, we got to see if he goes off this week, there's a world where he could have
59:27some big time weeks where it's like, hey, three or four catches, but we're talking 80, 90, 100 yards, something like that.
59:33Yeah. You know, and I always talk about how in fantasy people forget, you know, that they're human beings that are coaching
59:39these players that are players are human beings. And so just remember, Malachi Fields is, you know, being drafted by this administration, like a new regime, right?
59:46And there is a little bit of just like when you were in a fantasy league where you're like, oh, that's my guy.
59:53I discovered that guy. And you're so proud of that player that you got in the late rounds.
59:58Like, you know, like there's no loyalty to Darius Slayton or Darnell Mooney, any of these guys, right?
60:03And so I do think in a world where, you know, there's potential for opportunity here.
60:07And if Malachi Fields pops, you know, or as Brian Hickman called him, Malachi Fields forever, then yeah, I think there's going
60:14to be like, oh, that's our guy. That's a guy we drafted this year.
60:18You know, he's part of it. You know, they have no loyalty to the veterans, I guess.
60:22So anyway, I don't know that he's in a standard league.
60:25I don't know if you're drafting Malachi Fields, probably more of a guy to keep on your radar, you know, as a
60:32waiver wire pickup, you know, just in deeper leagues.
60:34But, you know, for deeper leagues, kind of an interesting name.
60:37So I appreciate you talking to us about Malachi Fields, because I do think Giants wide receiver two and three, right now
60:43it's probably Giants wide receiver two, and I'm using it in quotes, it's probably Isaiah Likely.
60:48Like, that's the pass catcher you feel the best about after Malik Nabors on this team.
60:52But there's going to be opportunity. I think the offense is going to be, you know, darts a legit stud.
60:58And so I think, you know, they'll move the ball there as well.
61:02All right. It is time for the last call here.
61:04So I want to talk about Offensive Rookie of the Year.
61:07Who is your pick, Tampa Bay Trey? Who are you going for Offensive Rookie of the Year?
61:12I'm going to go with Carnell Tate. I'll go Carnell Tate for Offensive Rookie of the Year here.
61:17And the reason why is because when you look at Cam Ward, this is according to NGS last year, he had the
61:2313th most deep pass attempts in the NFL last year.
61:26So that's passive 20 or more yards. And he was, I believe it was 15th or 16th in deep pass completions.
61:32Yet his deep pass percentage overall for his total passes was just 35th.
61:36That tells me that deep passing was not a staple part of what they wanted to do on offense.
61:41And the only reason they really went to it is because the Titans were just down on the scoreboard in most of
61:47the games when you get to the third and the fourth quarter.
61:51I think that with this offense, with Brian Dable, it is going to be much more tailored to what Cam Ward wants
61:57to do and what he does very well, which is throwing the deep ball.
62:01Who's he going to throw to? The guy that they drafted in the top 10 in Carnell Tate.
62:06He was the best wide receiver in all of college football last year when it came to winning vertically.
62:11That's despite not being a blazer when it comes to speed.
62:14And the reason why he's got some of the strongest hands that you'll ever see.
62:18He separates in very subtle ways. He's a great route runner.
62:21I think it is going to be a match made in heaven.
62:25So if that offense takes that next step, like we hope it will, because Cam Ward's a lot of fun when he
62:31is really able to attack deep down the field.
62:33Carnell Tate is going to be the guy. And this could be somebody who has over a thousand yards because of all
62:40those deep passes, has a double digit touchdowns, whatever it is.
62:43Like all of that is possible because the most explosive way that you rack up all those stats, I think is going
62:49to be in the wheelhouse and the possibility of what they want to do on offense this season.
62:54So I will go with Carnell Tate for those.
62:56It's an interesting call. He's at plus 550. Obviously, Love is the favorite.
63:00Then Fernando Mendoza's Love is at plus 400. Fernando Mendoza plus 450.
63:03I'm actually going to go with Jordan Tyson for plus, you know, he's six to one.
63:08My argument is that I think the Saints, I'm high on the Saints this year.
63:12I'm not scared of the division. I think the defense is going to be solid.
63:16I'm a Kellen Moore believer. You know, we talked about, we've talked about Olavi on the show.
63:21We've talked about Tyler Shuck on the show quite a bit.
63:24And so Jordan Tyson, I talked with Connor earlier in the show where he was just like, I asked, you know, pick one, Tyson or Tate.
63:31And he picked Tyson to have the better fantasy season.
63:34I just think in a world where the Saints win the division, and I think there's a chance that they do, that
63:40they're going to want to reward the Saints. And like Tyler Shuck's not winning MVP.
63:45I don't think Chris Olavi's winning offensive player of the year.
63:48So they need to reward this team somehow. So give me Jordan Tyson, who in a world where he stays healthy, kind
63:54of the flash plays on a team that's going to be a little bit of a darling, playing indoors, on the turf.
64:00I just, I worry that Tennessee, a small market team, they're not going to have a lot of primetime games.
64:06You know, and just how much Carnell Tate tape are people going to see?
64:09So I get the call, but I'm going to go with Jordan Tyson at plus 600, just because I think there's probably
64:16more lined up for him to have an award type season.
64:19But, you know, I love everything you said about Tate.
64:22I think that makes a ton of sense. Yeah.
64:24Perception does go into the awards. And so you are right looking at that angle of, hey, who could have the strongest perception here?
64:31Because that definitely goes into it. We will all follow you on social media at Tampa Bay Trey.
64:36We will all go download NFL Stock Exchange or watch it on YouTube.
