Adonai Mitchell

PositiveBreakout34:49

Matthew Berry is bullish on Adonai Mitchell, citing reports from Jets camp that Mitchell is carving out a role as the number two receiver opposite Garrett Wilson. Berry highlights Mitchell's elite talent and positive reviews from former Jets passing game coordinator Scott Turner.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeRole40:59

Andy Behrens notes that reports indicate Brian Thomas Jr. will function primarily as an 'X' perimeter receiver and vertical threat in Jacksonville, a role that aligns better with his skillset than the failed attempt to use him in all areas of the field last season.

Insight page
NegativeRole67:35

Andy Behrens views Thomas as a perimeter vertical threat who is valuable due to his big-play upside in a great offense, but expects inconsistency and fewer high-target games compared to his rookie season. Behrens ranks him at WR37, noting he is behind Parker Washington in the team's pecking order.

Insight page
PositiveValue71:42

Matthew Berry notes that Thomas's ADP of 79 (Berry has him at 67) reflects significant uncertainty, but he remains a viable target in the 7th or 8th round. Berry argues that if Thomas can approach his previous top-12 WR draft expectations, he offers massive profit potential, and his floor is manageable at his current cost.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveSleeper23:47

Matthew Berry is heavily invested in Caleb Douglas in deep and guillotine leagues, citing exciting preseason utilization and the potential for him to emerge as a number one wide receiver on an NFL offense.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue20:35

Matthew Berry is significantly higher on Chase Brown than the current market, preferring him over Devon Achane in the same tier due to a better situation.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeBust37:16

Matthew Berry is out on DJ Moore at his current ADP (55), ranking him at 63 overall. Berry expects inconsistency in Buffalo due to Josh Allen's tendency to spread the ball around, the presence of Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman, and the team's run-heavy tendencies.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

NegativeUsage83:42

Andy Behrens notes that Kincaid's fantasy value is capped by his limited snap share (never exceeding 55% last year) and his lack of involvement in goal-line situations, where Dawson Knox is preferred. However, Matthew Berry points out that Kincaid was targeted on over 24% of his routes, the third-highest rate among tight ends, making him a viable low-end TE1 at his current ADP of 112.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeValue17:03

Andy Behrens is highly positive on De'Von Achane, calling him a 'legitimate outlier' and a 'cheat code' due to his efficiency and explosive ability. Conversely, Matthew Berry is out on Achane in redraft leagues, ranking him at RB11 (below his RB7 ADP) due to concerns about the Dolphins' offense and the impact of Malik Willis at quarterback on Achane's passing game involvement.

Insight page
NegativeProjection20:24

Matthew Berry ranks Achane as a low-end RB1 (RB11) due to concerns about Malik Willis's lack of check-downs; Willis has targeted running backs on only 10% of his 89 pass attempts over the last two seasons. While Berry prefers Chase Brown and Ken Walker for their situations, he acknowledges Achane is an elite talent who will be fine if the Dolphins' offense is merely 'normal bad' rather than incompetent.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveProjection30:46

Andy Behrens and Matthew Berry are both high on Garrett Wilson's talent, with Behrens ranking him as a top-12 receiver despite the team situation. Berry notes Wilson's 34% target share and 48% air yard share in healthy games last year, projecting him as a viable fantasy asset even with Geno Smith.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

NegativeValue6:11

Andy Behrens expresses a personal preference for Jalen Nailor, noting that he liked him as a college player and expects him to make some noise eventually. However, Matthew Berry remains skeptical, ranking him at WR74 and stating he is not interested in him compared to the upside of other options.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeBust25:30

Matthew Berry is lower than market on Josh Jacobs (RB18 vs. ADP RB17), citing suspension risk, injury history, and the 'Marshawn Lloyd drumbeat' as reasons for concern. Berry believes there is more downside than upside for Jacobs this season.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveValue20:35

Matthew Berry is significantly higher on Kenneth Walker than the current market, preferring him over Devon Achane in the same tier due to a better situation.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveRole27:31

Matthew Berry notes a persistent 'drumbeat' of excitement surrounding Marshawn Lloyd, suggesting he could potentially cut into Josh Jacobs' workload as the Packers look to manage veteran wear and tear for a deep playoff run.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeProjection73:54

Andy Behrens projects a modest season for Harrison, estimating around 65 catches and 800-850 yards, noting that he slots behind Trey McBride and Michael Wilson in the Cardinals' offense. Behrens ranks him at WR39, citing the team's balanced skill player usage as a limiting factor for his fantasy ceiling.

Insight page
NegativeUsage76:46

Matthew Berry highlights that Harrison has been a disappointment, averaging only 11 fantasy points per game and failing to reach double-digit points in 52% of his NFL games. Berry notes that Harrison is heavily touchdown-dependent and faces a real risk of being the fourth-best pass catcher on the Cardinals behind McBride, Wilson, and Jeremiah Love.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveUsage5:25

Matthew Berry ranks Nico Collins as his WR9 and believes the addition of Kayshawn Boutte will benefit Collins by freeing him up to move around the formation. Berry suggests that with Boutte taking the top off the defense, the Texans can utilize Collins in the slot or on bubble screens to get him easier touches.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveDepth Chart69:08

Both Matthew Berry and Andy Behrens rank Parker Washington ahead of Brian Thomas Jr. in the Jaguars' wide receiver pecking order. Berry explicitly identifies Washington as his number one wide receiver on the team.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeProjection12:17

Andy Behrens and Matthew Berry are both cautious about Patrick Mahomes, ranking him at QB13 and QB14 respectively. The primary concern is his rushing upside coming off an ACL injury, as 25% of his fantasy points last season came from his legs. While they acknowledge his elite processing and craftiness, they view him as a high-end QB2 or low-end QB1 rather than a locked-in elite starter.

Insight page

Tank Dell

NegativeDepth Chart6:11

Matthew Berry and Andy Behrens express concern regarding Tank Dell's status following the Texans' trade for Kayshawn Boutte. Berry ranks Dell at WR75 and notes that the team's move to acquire more depth at wide receiver is not a ringing endorsement of Dell's recovery from his injury.

0:00All right, it is noon on YouTube, but you know it is 5 o'clock somewhere.
0:05Someone's gonna say 12. It's definitely 12 o'clock here on the East Coast, but it is 5 o'clock somewhere, which means the
0:11bar is open, the Happy Hour bar is open.
0:14It is me, your old pal, Matthew Berry, your friendly neighborhood bartender.
0:17And speaking of friendly and neighborhood and old, I'd like to introduce one of my old friends, honestly.
0:23Not just because he is also old, similar to me, but also we have been friends for many, many years.
0:29My good buddy, Andy Behrens, of course, you can check out all of his work at thedeepshot.com.
0:34He's writing a weekly fantasy football newsletter for The Athletic.
0:37I assume everyone watching has already signed up for the fantasylife.com newsletter, which comes out every day.
0:42So just add another newsletter to your list. Andy's one of the best writers I know, so he's doing that for The Athletic.
0:49And of course, all of his writing, along with our buddy Dalton Del Don, is over at thedeepshot.com.
0:54So we're gonna check that out. And of course, everyone follows you on social media at Andy Behrens, B-E-H-R-E-N-S, in case you can't spell.
1:02What's up, brother? How are you? I'm great. I'm great.
1:05It's great to be here. Great to join you.
1:07Great to see a fellow old. We'll see if we can answer some fantasy questions for the people.
1:13Yeah, I'm disappointed. Despite the fact that you and I are both at advanced ages, you have still maintained your hair.
1:19And, you know, like you're gray, but you have hair.
1:22Like I'm gray and I'm balding. Like it feels like pick a lane.
1:26Like I yell at my hair every day. Pick a lane.
1:29Like, okay, we're gray. Okay, fine. We're bald. Everyone's jumping ship.
1:33Okay, fine. I understand that. But like, pick an effing lane.
1:36And they're both like, no, no, F you, Barry.
1:39We're hitting you with both barrels. So. Yeah, but I'm like, I'm dramatically gray.
1:43I'm extremely gray, excessively gray. I'm, I don't know.
1:45I may have to do something about it. Well, I have, you know, as Martin's World 1987 says, I really love how
1:52the total amount of hair for each gets fluctuates pretty drastically each day.
1:56Yeah, I'm trying to get a wide range of guests here in the happy hour.
2:01It is a bar. Everyone is welcome in the bar.
2:04And so those that are follically challenged and those with thick heads of lettuce, all welcome as well as pronto.
2:10Joey says, who doesn't love Andy? Top notch dude and has some hair.
2:13Cheers, fellas. Thank you, pronto, Joey. Cheers to you as well, my friend.
2:17I got my red solo cup obviously filled. So what I want to do today, Andrew, is I would like to talk about the hardest players to rank.
2:26We're going to get to, we'll get to that in a second, but we're going to talk about the hardest ranked players to rank.
2:33But before that, we, we have available to us a plethora of booty jokes because Kayshawn Booty now is a member of the Houston Texans, right?
2:41The New England Patriots said, hey man, we're no longer interested in this booty.
2:45You can have this booty. Here's some secondhand booty.
2:48The Texans are like, we're desperate for some booty.
2:50Bring it on. Give us some booty. And so here you go.
2:54Now new booty in Houston. It is Kayshawn Booty.
2:57I'm not above. I am not above. As you see the tweet from Tom Pellicero.
3:01No trade. The Patriots sending wide receiver Kayshawn Booty to the Texans for safety and Jalen Reed and a draft pick.
3:08Sources tell the ringer and Fox Sports or Netflix Sports.
3:11Sorry, Tom. Sorry. I forgot that he's in Netflix now.
3:14All right. So I'm curious what your reaction to the trade is other than, oh my God, all sorts of booty jokes because Barry's like 12 years old.
3:22Yeah. I feel like you, I feel like you may have exhausted our supply of booty jokes there.
3:27It was, you know, as NFL trades go, this is one of the more predictable trades, right?
3:33Like you could have seen this coming. This is, this is not necessarily one that blindsided us.
3:38They had a screaming need in Houston after the Jaden Higgins injury.
3:41And Kayshawn Booty was, he's at that level of player where, you know, he's, he's really valuable to some team in real
3:48life, but obviously the Patriots have, have changed the receiving core.
3:51They've upgraded in a pretty big way. They brought on some veterans who were going to, who were going to take some
3:58of those targets that went to booty. This is a great spot for him though.
4:02That the Texans were not great. You know, if, if Kayshawn Booty only remains in the role that he had last year
4:09with new England it's a, it's a big fix for Houston because they did not hit a lot of deep balls last year.
4:16And you can make the argument that the best play in football last year was Drake may go in deep to Kayshawn Booty.
4:23I think he had a, he had a passer rating when targeted of like one 53.3, almost everything hit bunch of touchdowns.
4:29The real question fantasy wise, I guess, is whether he can be more, whether he can be more than a vertical threat
4:36who, you know, if you're that guy, then you're kind of a, then you're kind of a best ball play.
4:42I don't know when you're going to go off.
4:45It might happen two or three times a year, but if he can be an inside outside guy, if he can actually
4:51do some of the Higgins stuff that would get pretty interesting.
4:55Yeah. Look, I mean, you know, it obviously in Houston, there's some strange booty there.
4:59They're interested in some strange, some strange booty. Cause he's new to the team, obviously.
5:04Say, I know what you were thinking, Andy. Oh, he's exhausted those jokes.
5:07And I don't, this is our first time doing a show together in quite some time.
5:12No, no, no. I can run any joke into the ground and I intend to do so here today.
5:18But I think you are absolutely right. In terms of Kayshawn Booty, like he gives them a deep threat, right?
5:24Once Tank Dell went down, it was pretty much just Nico Collins.
5:28And I think the biggest impact of Booty coming to Texas, the Texans getting some new booty, is that Nico Collins is suddenly freed up.
5:35He doesn't just have to be, you know, the deep threat, you know, can they do some more bubble stuff?
5:41Can they do some underneath stuff? Can they find different ways to get Nico Collins the ball?
5:46Because Kayshawn Booty is taking the top off the defense.
5:49He can play the X and just, and just go ahead and fly and free up Nico, you know, put Nico in
5:56motion, just, you know, try to get him just some easy touches.
5:59Where I ranked, so, I mean, listen, I have Nico Collins still at wide receiver nine, but I have Kayshawn Booty at
6:06wide receiver 62, Jalen Noel at wide receiver 74, Tank Dell at wide receiver 75.
6:11And to your point about what could Kayshawn Booty become, you know, as Ruben pointed out in the chat, you know, the booty is bigger in Texas.
6:19I do think the opportunity for Kayshawn Booty in Texas is bigger because he was trapped behind A.J.
6:24Brown and Romeo Dobbs and I guess Pop Douglas.
6:27And I guess, you know, it's a nice vote of confidence for Kyle Williams in New England.
6:32But there's an opportunity there to carve out a number two role.
6:36And I think when you're that far into the draft, right, again, I have all of the non-Nico Collins wide receivers outside my top 60.
6:43But when you're at that point of the drop, you're just hoping for upside.
6:47And so, like, I'm not interested in Jalen Noel, but I do think if Tank Dell's healthy, that's really interesting because we've
6:54seen Tank Dell perform at a very high level fantasy perspective.
6:57But barring injury, and you have to feel like this isn't a great sign for Tank Dell that they went and made the trade for Kayshawn Booty, right?
7:06That they're at least a little bit, you know, at least a little bit nervous, wanted more depth there.
7:11So I have Booty ranked the highest because I think he's got the best opportunity to sort of burst through and become potentially fantasy viable.
7:19I mean, we have seen in a world where C.J.
7:22Stroud gets closer to rookie year C.J. Stroud than what we've seen recently.
7:26And that Nico Collins stays healthy, that, like, could this offense be good enough to support two fantasy relevant pass catchers?
7:32And I think there's a chance. Again, I'm outside my top 60.
7:36Let's not get crazy. But I think this is a good trade for C.J.
7:40Stroud. It's a good trade for Nico Collins. And certainly, whatever you think of Kayshawn Booty, I'm more interested in the booty
7:46in Houston than I am in New England. And that goes in real life as well, by the way, just to be clear.
7:53Well, to Ryan's point in the chat, I think we do have to bump the booty a little bit after this trade.
8:00Come on in. The water's warm. Yeah, that's right.
8:03Yeah, it is one of that, actually. That felt really good.
8:06It really felt good off the club. Yeah, I think it's a great point about Tank Dell, too.
8:11This is not a ringing endorsement of where Tank Dell is at coming off a pretty horrific injury.
8:17I think you're in the right spot on Booty, generally.
8:20Again, he's not a one-for-one replacement for Jaden Higgins because they are dramatically different just physically and stylistically.
8:25One is 6'4", the other is 5'11". They are not the same size.
8:29They can do some of the same things, but I wouldn't be inclined to use them in the same way, necessarily.
8:35And still, this is probably the guy that has the most juice in that receiving core.
8:40I'm partial to Jalen Noel. I think eventually we're going to see some weeks from him.
8:45I think eventually he's going to make a little noise.
8:48I really liked him as a college player. But again, I think Booty arrives as somebody who can fix an obvious need.
8:55I don't have him quite as high as I had Higgins.
8:58So yeah, wide receiver 60s range feels about right.
9:01Also, all the wide receivers after 30 are just kind of an ocean of the same player, right?
9:06So ranking him 60 doesn't mean you're out on him.
9:09Yeah. No, and look, we'll move on. And by the way, some of the players that are after wide receiver 30 are
9:16a couple of the guys we're going to talk about here in one second.
9:20My only argument of Booty over Noel, I know you like him.
9:24I just, if you're telling me one of these guys explode, you know what I mean?
9:28Like to me, Jalen Noel could just be solid, right?
9:31You know, but I just don't necessarily see the explosiveness from him that I do see from Booty.
9:37And I will say that all last name puns aside, he's also a young player that's flashed.
9:42And so I like the play by the Texans just to, hey, not only adding depth for this season, but like this is not just some rent-a-player.
9:50This is somebody that they could develop that obviously had a future that was blocked somewhat in New England.
9:56If you're anything like me and my family, there's just nothing worse than opening up the fridge and realizing it's empty.
10:02Being like, oh man, I forgot to thaw meat or I got to go to the grocery store and deal with all that, which is a disaster.
10:10So here's the fix. Keeping Omaha steaks in the freezer.
10:13It's been a lifesaver for us. Genuinely feels like having your own gourmet butcher on standby.
10:18Now look, you guys know Omaha steaks, right? They've spent over a century perfecting their process.
10:23They age the beef meticulously. They vacuum seal each portion and then they ship it frozen directly to your door.
10:29Recently, me and my family seared up their pure ground brisket burgers, the rich flavor, and melt-in-your-mouth texture blew standard grocery meat completely out of the water.
10:37I got to tell you, from the tender steaks and chicken to gourmet sides and desserts, having quality protein ready in minutes
10:44is a lifesaver for me and my family. If you want to experience the difference, check out the Burger Perfection Flight.
10:50It features 20, count them, 20 premium burgers made from five distinct steak cuts like filet mignon, sirloin, and ribeye.
10:56Try the Burger Perfection Flight at OmahaSteaks.com today. That's 20 steak burgers for just $79.99.
11:0020. Plus, you get $35 off with the promo code FOOTBALLHOUR.
11:04Please use the promo code. It's OmahaSteaks.com, promo code FOOTBALLHOUR, and you get $35 off at checkout.
11:09Terms apply. See site for details. When I sent out the tweet for this show, Andy, I said, where there is uncertainty, there is opportunity.
11:16You know, my friend Jay Croucher, who was on the show with me last year, you know, would always talk about the
11:23fact that when there's chaos, there's opportunity, right? That, like, the books don't know how to necessarily price certain things when there's unknown and uncertainty.
11:30And so that's same with ADP and the market.
11:33And so there's a number of players that have very questionable ADP because just the market, the universe of fantasy football players
11:40that you and I exist in, are just, I don't know where to rank this guy.
11:45Is this guy going to be good this year?
11:47Is he going to be bad this year? For the most part, most of the players, we sort of feel like assuming
11:54health, we figure this is what this guy is going to do.
11:57And they're all sort of in the same range, right?
12:00At this point of the season, you know, ADP sort of settles in.
12:04But you and I came up with, off camera, kind of the eight players that we feel like are the hardest to
12:11rank this year where we think there's the most opportunity for fantasy managers if we can nail it right.
12:17And I want to start with Patrick Mahomes, who is, you know, one of the elites of the elites, one of the
12:23faces of the NFL, first ballot Hall of Famer.
12:26He's been a top 10 fantasy quarterback in points per game in all but one season of his career, 2024.
12:32But coming off the ACL, this is not a guy who, this is a guy that, you know, sneakily would always add fantasy points with his legs.
12:40Is he going to run as much coming off of the injury?
12:44Travis Kelsey is a little bit older. We've got question marks about Rasheed Rice as well with all the issues he's dealing with.
12:51And so the weapons are slightly different. What do we do, Andy, with Patrick Mahomes this year?
12:56Yeah, I've got him. And maybe it's maybe it's a statement about my lack of comfort in him as like just a
13:02locked in quarterback one, which is, of course, where we would have had him in any other year.
13:08He's he's I've got him at QB 13 just outside like that group of of absolutely dialed in quarterback ones.
13:14He's he's also like he's one of the two or three best quarterbacks that any of us have ever seen in our lives.
13:21But to your point, we we might have we might have preferred a quieter offseason from his number one receiver.
13:27But but Rasheed Rice is healthy right now. That's that's kind of new and interesting.
13:31Worthy is relatively healthy right now. Kelsey's still there.
13:34Like he's got the familiar cast of characters. I think that's good.
13:38The essential question and you hit on it is what exactly is the rushing upside?
13:42Because this is a player for whom we have been able to count on 300 plus yards.
13:47It was a little better than that last season, you know, two to five rushing touchdowns.
13:52And I guess in Mahomes's case, I don't I don't feel like it's going to be absent entirely.
13:57Right. Like, I don't think he's going to go into the Matt Stafford phase of his career where we're getting, you know,
14:04a single rushing yard over the course of a full season.
14:07And he's such a good opportunistic runner. And it's not, you know, he might be the slowest player in league history to ever rush for 300 yards.
14:15Right. Like, it's not flashy. He just processes so well and he sees the field so well.
14:21And if there is space available to him, he will eat it up and he sees it, you know, a half second quicker than anybody else does.
14:29He does that. He does that dumb ball fake thing like 10 yards downfield that nobody should fall for and everybody falls for.
14:36And that gets him another five yards. Like, he's just he's, you know, crafty is is sort of damning with faint praise, but he's super crafty.
14:43And I got to believe that some of that will still be there.
14:47And if it's not 300 yards, fine. It's still 250.
14:50I can't believe that once Patrick Mahomes is like in a in a live fire environment playing ball, he's that's not going to go away.
14:58Yeah. Johnny Dangerly saying Pat Mahomes is now in the Tom Brady phase of his career.
15:03Good for football. Not so good for fantasy. Like, wow.
15:06First off, Tom Brady was good for fantasy for a long, long time.
15:10You know, well into his 40s. Number two is is like I'm not even I don't I don't agree with that at all.
15:16Johnny Dangerly. Um, uh, respectfully, I know that's your God given name.
15:20I am a QB. I'm a QB 14. So I'm right there in lockstep with you is ADP is QB 14.
15:26So I basically have him as a high end QB two low end QB one in a deeper league.
15:32I'd be okay with him as my starting quarterback.
15:35Um, especially because I feel like I'm getting him late.
15:38Um, and in a, in a 12 team or a 10 team or like, I don't mind him as a backup with some upside.
15:45Look, 25% of his points last season came from the rushing.
15:48So that's the concern is can we get anything, but look six straight seasons, literally six straight seasons of ranking top three
15:55in the NFL and past attempts per game. So if we get anything from the rushing and we don't need a lot
16:02to your point, can we get 150 yards? Can we get 200 yards?
16:05Can we get 250? That'll be enough. Um, as somebody else in the comments said, like my home's going scorched earth.
16:12I do think that the narrative and the drumbeat is so loud about like he's done and Denver won the division and here come the chargers.
16:20And, you know, no one's talking about Patrick and Brittany anymore.
16:23It's all about Justin, Justin Herbert and Madison beer.
16:26So I, I do, you know, uh, gun to my head.
16:29I would rather bet on Patrick Mahomes than get bet against him, but I have him at QB 14.
16:35So I think in a deeper league, or if you wait on quarterback, I'm okay with them as your starting quarterback.
16:41Heck, as long as you grab someone else later in case the wheels come off a little bit.
16:46Um, but, uh, but yeah, I don't think he is, I think he will, he'll not be Patrick Mahomes in all capital
16:53letters the way we've seen before, because again, so much of his 25% of his fantasy points last year came from rushing.
17:00Speaking of rushing another guy that's hard to rank this year.
17:03And he is Devon H. Chan, who we love.
17:06Uh, we love Devon H. Chan. Uh, this is somebody who is ranked top five and running, uh, among running backs and
17:12fantasy points per touch every season of his career.
17:15Uh, we know, we know the explosiveness. We know the pass catching ability.
17:19We know the role, you know, there's jokes about like, he's going to touch the ball 40 times a game.
17:25Like that's coming from the head coach, but with Malik Wilson under center, we're not sure if he's going to catch a
17:31lot of passes and the dolphins might be terrible.
17:34So what say you on Devon H. Chan, Mr.
17:37Barron's? Yeah. A lot of the names we're going to talk about today are either.
17:41I like the player. Don't know about the team or I like the situation.
17:46Don't know about the player. Uh, and he is very much in the category of, uh, I love him.
17:51Like, I think he's a, I think he's a legitimate outlier as a player.
17:55Um, we've already seen him do some things at his size that you would just not expect any NFL running back to be able to pull off.
18:04Um, and if I'm, you know, if I'm going to take a big swing and miss at the top of a draft,
18:10it's going to be on a player who I know to be great.
18:14And, and that is HN. Um, he's just, obviously he's outrageously efficient, explosive gifted receiver, kind of a cheat code.
18:20Cause they've given him all those, you know, they've given him all those like extended handoffs where he just sort of drifts out into the flat.
18:28And sometimes it's a handoff, sometimes it's a catch, uh, depending on the actual vector of the ball.
18:33Um, I mean, he's just great though. When you get him in space, he's great when he's not in space.
18:39Um, thrilling runner. The, you know, I don't, I'm not the guy who like reads a lot into, into preseason play either,
18:46but they did give him a goal line touchdown and like the one drive that he played in, in his first preseason appearance.
18:53And so I think he's going to be active at the goal line too.
18:57And all we really need is for the dolphins to be a normal kind of bad, as long as they're not like
19:04disaster bad, like they can be a bottom third of the league offense and HN can be great.
19:09So I've, I will say he's difficult for me to rank in that.
19:13I have flipped him around in that hole. There's that collection.
19:16I guess it's a tier of running backs that involves chase Brown and it's Kenneth Walker and Henry's in there and maybe Saquon's in there for you.
19:24Yep. I just think HN is, is better than, than most of those players and a, and an actual, just an actual freak among us.
19:32And if, if I'm going to miss in the second round on a player, again, I want it to be somebody who is just verifiably great.
19:40And that's him. Draft Eddie says HN pronounced bootay.
19:42It's good. It's a long running joke in the, in, uh, with the regulars just about like, you know, we don't know
19:49how to pronounce Travis ETN's last name and it's always changing.
19:52And, but Trevor ETN, his brother is keeping it the same.
19:56And he, TN is pronounced HN, which no one makes sense.
19:59And you know, HN is pronounced HN as the IR regular says.
20:03Um, here's what I would say about, so I, I'm just out on Devon HN this year.
20:08I agree with everything you said and that I think he is an elite player.
20:12Um, and I think he's going to get a massive workload.
20:15I just, the way I say I'm out is that I'm at running back 11, right?
20:20I'm at 17 overall running back 11 is ADP is running back seven.
20:24His ADP is 14 overall. So it just, I have been in dynasty.
20:28So I would love to be wrong on HN, but in redraft, I just have no shares of him this year because
20:35I am much higher on chase Brown and Ken Walker.
20:38Those are two guys that I have a lot of when you talk about that specific tier, um, as well.
20:44For me, the concern is so much of what his production has been over the last couple of years has been the passing game involvement.
20:51It's just been the passing game involvement. And in three starts with green Bay, Malik Willis saw 20% of his team's rushing
20:58attempts, 42% of his team's red zone attempts and has only thrown.
21:01This is an unbelievable stat Malik Willis over the last two seasons has thrown 89 passes, right?
21:0789 passes over the last two years. Nine of them have gone to running backs nine, you know, basically 10%, nine of
21:1389 pass attempts have gone to running backs. He's just not a guy that dumps off that much.
21:19And now maybe because he's looking around and I'm like, I got Malik Washington, Caleb Douglas, or here's a guy who's really good.
21:26Maybe they change it and maybe they start, you know, to your point, getting A-Chan out into the flat and try to
21:32get him the ball a bunch of different ways because he's their best player.
21:36But my concern is, is that when protection breaks down, that Willis is much more likely to just duck it and run
21:43as opposed to what Tua did, which was to quickly dump off to Devon A-Chan.
21:47So I am, you know, I am as a low end RB1 or running back 11.
21:52I just, again, I feel safer about Chase Brown, Ken Walker, Saquon, all of whom I have ranked higher, all of whom
21:59I think are similar talents to A-Chan, just in much better situations.
22:03But I agree with your overall premise. Again, my ranking, you know, I probably won't have a lot of them, but I'll
22:09just say this, Andy, I agree with your overall premise that he's an elite player and that if the Dolphins are just
22:16normal bad and not horrifically incompetent, he's going to be just fine.
22:19Because maybe he won't be as efficient, but the workload will be there.
22:23And, you know, hopefully, you know, we see him at the goal line and not Ollie Gordon or whatever.
22:29It's such a good point. It's such a good point on Willis, I'll just say, because this is one thing that we
22:36commonly see with the heavy volume rushing quarterbacks is they, you know, they look at a situation.
22:41It's, you know, it's true of Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia.
22:44It's true with nearly all of them. They just look at a situation and say, well, I'll just go get those six yards.
22:51I don't need to dump it off to you.
22:53Yeah. I mean, think about Lamar, right? I mean, like, you know, I mean, it's, you know, for years we wanted Justice
23:00Hill to be a thing and it just, you know, or Keaton Mitchell just never, never did.
23:05SEC Man 01 says, I think there's a chance that Dolphins wide receivers might outperform expectations.
23:10I think that's a good call, SEC Man. I will say this.
23:13I don't think the, just to your point, Andy, I don't think the Dolphins offense is going to be horrific.
23:19I don't think it's going to be good. But like, I don't think it's going to be like early Raiders last season levels of incompetence.
23:27Like, I do think Malik, Malik Wills will be able to move the ball.
23:31Now, maybe it all, it's only going to be with his legs, but the Dolphins, I think, will be able to move the ball somewhat.
23:39And I have a, again, I'm in a bunch of deep leagues.
23:42I'm doing a bunch of guillotine leagues. You know, we have the 18 team, guillotineleague.com.
23:47Unbelievable. It's free. Please check it out. But I have a lot of Caleb Douglas this year just because I play in
23:53barely deep leagues and I just, like, late in those drafts, I'm like, well, you know, whatever.
23:59It's the 12th round, 13th round. Here's a guy that has a chance to be a number one wide receiver on an NFL offense, right?
24:06So, you know, we'll see. We had Dwayne McFarlane, who does such a great job for us over at fantasylife.com, and he,
24:13you know, he looks at all the utilization. And he's just like, you know, again, small sample size is the preseason.
24:19But Caleb Douglas' utilization so far has been really, really exciting.
24:22Now, Chris Bell's going to play this upcoming weekend, which is, I think, good.
24:26I think we'll get to see him. But still, I think there's a better than average chance Caleb Douglas is fantasy viable this year.
24:34Oh, I think that's a great call. And he's another one of those guys who almost makes me feel like maybe I
24:40shouldn't watch so much preseason football because the first catch he made was crazy.
24:45The one-handed catch. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. And granted, like, he had a previous attempt where he stepped out of bounds early and it became an incompletion.
24:52But my goodness, like, you can watch a couple of minutes of preseason football and squint a little bit and Caleb Douglas looks like a star.
25:00Yeah. That's what I like to do. I just like to watch a couple of minutes and squint and then you look like a star.
25:08When I show private videos to my wife of us in action, it's just usually it's cut-ups like that.
25:13It's just a couple of minutes. I look like a star.
25:17You know, if you watch the whole version, it'd be awful.
25:20But, you know, like you can, with the right lighting angles and just a couple of key plays, you're like, oh, all right.
25:27Good sizzle reel. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, just a hot sizzle reel.
25:30Hey, I want to go over to Green Bay right now, Andy, and let's talk about Josh Jacobs, who has been one
25:37of my former ride or dies, who's been a fantasy stalwart for so long.
25:41But there's a lot of uncertainty there in terms of usage, in terms of health, in terms of off the field.
25:48What are we doing with Josh Jacobs this year?
25:50Toughest player on the board. I don't like, I think he's a tier of one player in terms of being difficult to
25:57rank because he's just a great runner in an excellent situation.
26:00He has been one of my favorite backs to watch for a long time.
26:04He's not, you know, he's a power back who is crazy elusive behind the line of scrimmage.
26:10But I mean, we have a level of suspension risk that is hanging over his season.
26:14And until I hear one of our very plugged in national reporters tell me like in a declarative way, nope, suspension off the table this year.
26:22I just have to have this weird, hedgy, fearful rank that is almost certainly not going to be correct, right?
26:28I've got him, it's like, it's still, we're getting pretty late in the game and I still feel like I have a
26:35placeholder rank on him of RB 16. You know, I got him, I got him in one league where the bidding just kind of stopped.
26:42And I feel fine about that. Your, your upside here is that he delivers first round value.
26:47He's that good. Like he could, this guy over a full season could score 16 touchdowns and gain 1500 scrimmage yards.
26:54Yeah. Go ahead. No, I was just going to say, since he joined Green Bay, Andy, to your point, no running back
27:00has more goal to go rushing attempts than Josh Jacobs, not Derek Henry.
27:04No one since Jacobs with the Green Bay, no one has more goal to go rushing attempts.
27:09He's also top five in red zone touches, 18 touches per season, every season of his career.
27:14That's what he averages. So just a massive workload here.
27:17But to your point, there's concerns about the off the field stuff.
27:21He's missed multiple games in three of the five seasons.
27:24Last year, 56%, a career low, 56% of the Packers overall team rush attempts.
27:28And we keep hearing all this Marshawn Lloyd buzz.
27:31And so in a world where I don't think Marshawn Lloyd necessarily has standalone value in a world where Josh Jacobs is healthy and playing.
27:39But is there enough confidence in Marshawn Lloyd, enough talent there that they say like, hey, you know, the Packers legitimately have Super Bowl aspirations.
27:46They feel like they can go deep into the playoffs.
27:49And so does the workload for Jacobs come down a little bit just because they want to save the wear and tear?
27:56He's a veteran player who's had a lot of work over the years.
28:00And so you're more bullish on him than I am.
28:03I'm at running back 18, 42 overall. His ADP is 36.
28:06He's running back 17. So I am lower than him on.
28:09I am lower on him in market just because of all the things I'm concerned about.
28:14Like even in a world where there's no suspension, just like, does he get the workload that he got?
28:20Because man, oh man, I keep hearing this Marshawn Lloyd drumbeat.
28:23It seems like everyone's excited about that kid. There might be a little bit of wish casting with Marshawn Lloyd because we've
28:30been waiting for it for so long. For years, years, years, for sure.
28:34And Medici says, I'll just say, Medici, one of the regulars here says, in the words of Jay Croucher, I'd rather be
28:40out a year early than a year late. Thanks, but no thanks on Josh Jacob.
28:45That's Jonathan Medici weighing in on Jacobs. And I think I'm sort of there, Medici.
28:49Again, I'm lower on him than market. Sounds like you're basically at market on him.
28:54But right. I agree with you that neither of our rankings are going to be correct.
28:58We're either going to be wildly wrong or wildly like either we're going to be wildly wrong.
29:04I just don't know. Are we going to be wildly wrong in the positive or the negative?
29:09Because he could easily finish as like a top eight fantasy running back.
29:13He could also be like 36th. And I'm hedging that I'm closer to.
29:17I'm hedging. I have them lower in market because I just, you know, there are running backs I prefer more in that range just because of the.
29:25I think there's. I'll put it this way. I think there's a better chance at downside with Jacobs than there is with upside.
29:32Does that make any sense? That might be right.
29:34That I also feel like Green Bay season basically fell apart last year when he was not healthy at the end of the year.
29:41So I think that demonstrated his value just as a as a closer for that team.
29:46I'd be I'd be surprised if anybody on that roster really claims a sizable share of the workload.
29:52But again, so much of this comes down to is he going to get hit with a six game suspension at some point?
29:59Because that's where, you know, he can he can either be the RB five or he can be the RB 45.
30:05But he's almost certainly not going to be the RB 16 where I've plopped him down.
30:10Yeah, exactly. Another guy that's so hard to rank.
30:12And so I've said where I am. I'm I'm I'm below market on him, especially in the overall.
30:18Like, again, I'm 18 running back 18. He's going is running back 17, but he's going 36.
30:23I'm at 42. So I'm like six, seven spots beyond, you know, lower than market in the overall.
30:28I just I prefer to go more running back heavy up top and like around the range where Jacobs is going.
30:35I'm looking, you know, probably for like, you know, hopefully I can get like Loveland or Warren there or, you know.
30:41Number two wide receiver there and there. Speaking of number two wide receivers, how about Garrett Wilson?
30:46Andy, so he's a jet, which automatically makes him hard to rank.
30:50Hope springs eternal that the Jets offense is good this year.
30:53Where are you on Mr. Wilson? Yeah. Now we're now we're in the range of love the player.
30:58Not so sure about the team, right? Like that's very much the Jets.
31:02That's the kindest thing anyone's ever said about the Jets.
31:05Not so sure. That's totally right. I'm, you know, like I'm willing to believe the Jets offense and Geno Smith can support a single viable fantasy receiver.
31:13I'm not I'm not willing to go down the board.
31:16I'm not interested in Mitchell. I'm not interested in the rookies.
31:20I mean, there's just no question that Garrett Wilson would be that one guy who can who can stand out now like
31:26you're competing with Brees Hall, maybe to score the Jets lone offensive touchdown each week.
31:31That is a that is definitely a concern. I just I really enjoy watching Garrett Wilson.
31:36I think he's such a technician. I think he's one of the smoothest players in the league.
31:41I have nothing bad to say, except he's he's playing for a probably doomed team, which makes him a wide receiver, too.
31:47I've got him at I've got him at wide receiver 20.
31:51Maybe that's bullish. I'm not even sure where ADP is.
31:54I think he's a much better player than that.
31:56Like if I'm just straight up ranking all of the receivers in the league, he's he's probably at the at the back
32:03end of the top 12 for me. I certainly think that another 160 target season is possible.
32:08170 targets, I think I think a thousand yards is probably something you can lock in.
32:13It's actually I was just looking at Vegas totals for for receiving and his total is like nine ninety nine and a half.
32:20So that's that's pretty bullish. That's you know, we don't see a lot of guys who who approach a thousand yards.
32:26I mean, he's not good. He's that talented. He's that unstoppable.
32:29He he may be the only guy who pops in New York, though.
32:33Yeah, I mean, look, so I haven't wide receiver 19.
32:36And that is right where he's going in ADP.
32:39So you haven't wide receiver 20. He's going at 19.
32:42I'm right there at 19. I'm 40 overall. He's going at 42 overall.
32:46So I'm right, right at market there. I think the market is right on this.
32:51This is somebody who, again, has never finished higher than wide receiver 19 in any season that he's played eight or more
32:57games on a points for game basis. He's never been better than wide receiver 19.
33:02And so you're like, well, he hasn't really ever played with any good quarterbacks.
33:06And the question is, is he going to play with one this year?
33:10Like we think Gino will be all right. We think we're getting Seattle Gino and we're washing away last year because Vegas was such a disaster.
33:18But maybe not. You know what I mean? And, you know, and we're also banking a lot on Frank Reich who, you
33:24know, didn't go well from in Carolina. It's been a while since we've seen like a good Frank Reich offense.
33:30And how much of that was, you know, talent that he had versus, you know, just might have the game might have, quote, passed him by.
33:38Aloha Bricks says Garrett Wilson or DK Metcalf. Not talent wise, but overall production wise full PPR.
33:43It's Garrett Wilson to me and it's not particularly close in this one.
33:47Aloha Bricks. I mean, I'm so out on DK Metcalf.
33:50I mean, he's a deep threat on a team that won't throw deep.
33:54Aaron Rodgers is like Mr. Low A dot. And now he's got Michael Pittman there and he's got two running backs that
34:01can get to the ball and two tight ends that are going to be involved.
34:05And I actually like Jeremy Bernard in like in deeper leagues, you know, out of the slot.
34:10So no on DK Metcalf. But back to Garrett Wilson in his healthy games last year, 34 percent target share, 48 percent of the team's air yards.
34:18And so the hope here is, is that Garrett Wilson has been able to produce top 20 ish numbers with a plethora
34:25of quarterbacks who can't be any worse than Geno Smith.
34:28I mean, you know, like you have to feel like Geno has got to be at least Mendoza line level with all
34:35the guys Garrett Wilson's played with before. So and hopefully with, you know, who I have a lot of is we're talking
34:41about like I have a lot of Caleb Douglas.
34:44You know, I have a lot of which is so but I have a lot of Adonai Mitchell.
34:49I have a lot of A.D. Mitchell. Connor Rogers, my my my friend Connor Rogers on the show last year.
34:55He was here earlier in the season and he you know, he covers the Jets for S&Y, does a great job, hosts a Jets podcast.
35:03He's all in. And he was at Jets camp who said like Mitchell is catching a lot.
35:08And the drumbeat from from the beats out of the Jets camp is like, sorry, Omar Cooper.
35:13But like, I think the Mitchell is going to be the number two opposite Wilson.
35:18You know, again, this is a guy that was a number two.
35:21You know, he was a second round draft pick out of Texas.
35:25A lot of people liked Mitchell and just for whatever reason just didn't work out in Indianapolis.
35:30I think that, you know, the the drop at the goal line, you know, just messed with him a little bit.
35:36And and so we had Scott Turner on the show as well, who, you know, saying his praises.
35:42Again, Scott Turner was the passing game coordinator for the for the Jets last year and saw him every day in practice
35:48was like he is a full grown NFL wide receiver, like elite talent.
35:52So Mitchell Mitchell was one of the buzziest players in camp last year to in Indianapolis.
35:57Right. Like, I still remember writing blurbs about how Mitchell was carving up the Ravens in joint practices.
36:02Like he's he's certainly a talented player. There's no question about that.
36:06And then and then to your point about Geno Smith, I I think that Geno might be exactly the right kind of
36:13sketchy quarterback to continue to provide fantasy value. Because his it's not that he like he'll go he'll go 20 dropbacks in
36:19a row and it looks normal and pretty good.
36:22And then he'll throw one of the most horrendous interceptions that you've ever seen.
36:26But it's not like the play to play experience of watching Geno is not actually terrible.
36:31No, and he doesn't care. Like he'll he'll, you know, he'll take a shot and like he'll be one of those guys.
36:37It's like Garrett's down there somewhere. You know, he'll he'll force it.
36:41He doesn't mind forcing the ball. Producer Damien telling me I'm talking too much.
36:45I apologize. So we'll try to go a little bit quicker here as Dr.
36:49Deoxide says, hey, now Geno Smith is the best Jets quarterback since they drafted Geno Smith.
36:54You might be right, Dr. Deoxide. He's not wrong.
36:57By the way, he is a true doctor. I don't think you can just come up.
37:02You just can't call yourself a doctor online unless you have a medical degree.
37:06I'm I'm almost positive of that. So good to have you in the chat, Dr.
37:11Deoxide. What about DJ Moore? Speaking of wide receivers who, you know, curious where you are on DJ Moore, who all the
37:17metrics from last year for your Bears were not good.
37:20But now he goes to a situation with Josh Allen where he's going to be the number one.
37:26You know, was it a was a was last year a result of, you know, just getting older and has hit the
37:32wall a little bit or just, hey, increased target competition, maybe not a fit with Ben Johnson's offense.
37:38Caleb still had some speed bumps there. Where are you on DJ Moore now with the Buffalo Bills?
37:43Yeah, I've actually I've got him at wide receiver 22.
37:46He did still have the juice necessary last season to produce some of the biggest plays in recent Bears history.
37:52Right. Like even even as the targets dipped and his usage just got weird.
37:56And I think some of that was the rise of Luther Burden and Roman Dunsay in the first half of the season
38:03before the injury was just such a great player.
38:06But like they ran so many, you know, sweeps and screens to DJ Moore that would get him blown up about half the time.
38:13And it's just I don't know. It's not necessarily the way that I think DJ Moore should be used.
38:18But also he he just may not have been a fit for for Ben Johnson because there is an improvisational streak to DJ Moore.
38:26And there's a little bit of freelancing that goes on with DJ Moore and with a with a coach who demands precision.
38:32Maybe maybe that's not perfect. Obviously, you know, Joe Brady knows what what he's getting in DJ Moore.
38:38There's a Carolina connection there. Josh Allen has a has an improvisational streak of his own.
38:42So they might pair well together. And we're talking about we're talking about a team that, you know, some of the some
38:49of the biggest throws in Buffalo's season last year went to went to Brandon Cooks.
38:54Like, do I think the current version of DJ Moore is a massive upgrade over the current version of Brandon Cooks?
39:00I do. I think he's I think he's just in a great spot.
39:04I think Moore might be the last name on the list of wide receiver ones who can plausibly be the best receiver on a really good team.
39:12But I do still think he's he's got that much juice.
39:15Yeah, you're you're more bullish on him than I you.
39:18I'm at wide receiver 22. I'm at 29. I think my concern is is sort of what Brandon Garrett just said, which
39:25is, you know, Josh Allen just spreads the ball around so much.
39:28Khalil Shakir was the only wide receiver for the Bills last year to get 60 or more to get 60 targets.
39:35And he's the only one. Um, and, uh, so now is that a result because it's Keon Coleman and Brandon Cooks and
39:41he just there's no one else that earns targets or is it also just again, I think there'll be run heavy between James Cook and Josh Allen.
39:50I think you'll, you'll see a healthy Kincaid get more of a target share.
39:54I think you'll get, um, you'll see, uh, whatever.
39:56They'll still throw some stuff to can Coleman, Khalil Shakir in the middle of the field.
40:01So I think that DJ Moore, a great addition for Josh Allen.
40:05I think he's a great addition for the Bills from an NFL standpoint.
40:09But fantasy wise, I'm at 63 overall. His ADP is 55.
40:12So I'm out on DJ Moore because I just think it'll be inconsistent in Buffalo given how much they spread the ball and how much they run.
40:20It's hard for me to see him having a big touchdown season again as well with, you know, especially with Dawson Knox
40:27there, they, they like to go with 12 and personnel a decent amount.
40:31All right. I think it kind of comes down to like, is he closer to what Steph digs was back in the day?
40:38Or is he just closer in talent level to Khalil Shakir?
40:41In which case that's absolutely right. He's just going to be one of many.
40:45Yeah. So we will, we will find out you're in on him.
40:49I'm somewhat out. I'm curious where you are though.
40:51We got about 12 minutes left here. We got three guys to go.
40:55So we'll do four minutes each. But how about Brian Thomas Jr.?
40:59Andy, obviously an incredible rookie season last year. Not so much.
41:02We like the offense, but he's also a crowded wide receiver room.
41:06Your thoughts on BTJ? Yeah. I think all of the reporting about Thomas functioning as purely the X, a perimeter receiver, a
41:12vertical threat that feels right to me. Like Jacksonville definitely tried to make him an all areas of the field guy last year.
41:19And it just, it just went horribly. Um, the, I thought the Cincinnati game last year is just absolutely one of the
41:26worst that you will ever see from a receiver that we drafted in the first or second round.
41:31It was, it was horrendous. Um, so I'm, yeah, I'm viewing Thomas as someone tied to a great offense, big play upside.
41:38No question about that. And he has it against any defense.
41:41He's valuable. I just expect inconsistency in spike weeks.
41:44And I don't think we're going to see all those 12 target games.
41:48He's, he's behind Parker Washington for me. I've got Washington at 30 and Thomas at 37.
41:53Yeah. I'm, I'm a little bit more. I mean, I, I agree with you in terms of the pecking order.
41:59Parker Washington is my number one, uh, Jaguars wide receiver.
42:02I have Brian Thomas jr. At wide receiver 32, you know, I mean, I have to feel like he's going to be better than he was last year.
42:10And that may be with less attention because of Jacoby Myers, because of Parker Washington, that may be less attention.
42:16It's focused on Brian Thomas jr. Whereas, you know, after his rookie year, again, obviously not a great scheme fit for Liam Cohn initially.
42:23And they, yes, they just, he was running nothing but go routes.
42:27So I get it there, but, um, uh, I prefer him in best ball, you know, cause I agree with you.
42:33But, uh, but I feel like with the news that, Hey, sounds like Travis Hunter is going to be playing primarily defense.
42:40Then, you know, here's a guy that even if you say he's the third wide receiver, we think this is going to
42:47be one of the more pass happy. One of the better offenses in the NFL.
42:51Wolfman John says, give me BTJ big play wide receiver who had a great rookie wide receiver on a top 10 offense, especially based on his ADP.
42:59I got him as a top 25 wide receiver.
43:02Wolf John, I don't know about that, but again, his ADP is, is 79.
43:06I have it 67. So the argument is, is that he's, he's basically going around pick 80.
43:11And so I would argue that that uncertainty is baked into the, is it baked into his ADP.
43:17And so, you know, if he returned, you know, he's, this is a guy that was being drafted as a top 12 wide receiver last year.
43:24If Brian Thomas Jr. Can get anywhere close to that massive profit on ADP.
43:29And if he's not, if he is just continues to be like the disaster that he was last year, well, all right,
43:35well then it costs you an eighth round pick a seventh or eighth round pick.
43:40And you can, you can live with that. And so just the upside there, I think for me on BTJ, again, you and I are agreement.
43:48If I have to pick one, give me Parker Washington, but I'm not fully out on BTJ as a wide receiver four
43:54with some upside when you're doing drafts. All right.
43:57Speaking of wide receivers that came into league with a kind of a lot of fanfare, but have disappointed Marvin Harrison Jr.
44:03You know, first quarterback, first wide receiver drafted, supposed to be the chosen one.
44:08Can't miss prospect drafted ahead of in the NFL, drafted ahead of Malik neighbors, drafted ahead of Brian Thomas Jr.
44:14And when he was out there last year, he was clearly better than Michael Wilson.
44:18And yet it just, it just hasn't happened. I had the number one pick in a dynasty league the year he came
44:25out and I picked Marvin Harrison Jr. And today I regret it.
44:28Mr. Barron's, I regret it. Could I have any?
44:31I mean, we all took Harrison, right? Yeah. Yeah.
44:34This, this honestly, I think this is where we have the greatest disconnect between like the fantasy community's sense of a player
44:40and the team's sense of a player. Like for us, you, me, people, people in and around fantasy.
44:46It just remains a crisis that Harrison has not become a superstar, like a generational receiver.
44:51Like we fully expect that the Cardinals are holding daily meetings of the Harrison committee.
44:55How do we get this guy to a hundred targets or how do we get this guy to a hundred catches and 180 targets, whatever.
45:03But like from Arizona's perspective, I just kind of think they have a really nice complimentary set of skill players.
45:09And I think Trey McBride and Jeremiah Love are going to be the engines of that offense.
45:14Like McBride is coming off two of the greatest receiving seasons in the history of his position.
45:19And I feel like Harrison slots in behind him, Michael Wilson coming off a third year breakout.
45:24And like, we may get that out of, out of Harrison.
45:27I just think that the most likely scenario for Harrison is something like 65 catches, 800, 850 yards, something like that.
45:34Like you got to be happy with that. I think that's, I think that's kind of where he's settled in.
45:40I might be wrong. If he's a huge success story, it's like, it's not going to be on one of my rosters.
45:46I've got him at wide receiver 39. Yeah. I mean, I'm, I'm, I'm closer to you.
45:51I'm at wide receiver 36, but I have him at 76 overall.
45:55It's basically where he's going, but he's going as wide receiver 32.
45:58I don't have a ton other than the dynasty league where I'm stuck with him.
46:03I don't have a ton of Marvin Harrison this year.
46:06I mean, uh, since he's entered the NFL among qualified wide receivers, he's wide receiver 37 and points per game.
46:12He's been under, he's been single digit fantasy points in 52% of his games.
46:16Think about that. Over half of Marvin Harrison's NFL games.
46:19He has been single digit fantasy points. Um, and averages 11 fantasy points per game for his career, wide receiver 37 and points per game.
46:27He's 38th in receiving yards per game to your point under 65 receiving yards in 72% of his games.
46:32So he is, he's weirdly touchdown dependent. Right. And you know, 29 career games, he's got 31 end zone targets.
46:38So he is somebody that they do look for in the end zone.
46:42But to your point, like the dam is sort of burst with Trey McBride.
46:46Now it's an end zone target. The emergence of, uh, of Michael Wilson last year.
46:51And oh, by the way, you know, we'll see with the health, but it looks like Jeremiah loves in for a big workload immediately.
46:58Like you use the third overall pick on somebody.
47:01You're like, this guy's getting the rock. And so I don't say it's, I don't say it's likely, but the fact Andy,
47:07that it's within the very real realm of possibilities.
47:10It's very much within the, um, range of outcomes that Marvin Harrison is the fourth best fantasy pass catcher on the Cardinals
47:17that he's behind McBride, that he's behind Jeremiah love.
47:19And that he's behind, um, Michael Wilson like that.
47:22I mean, like, I'm not saying that's likely I I I'm ranked ahead of Wilson, you know, and everything like that, and obviously loves a running back.
47:30So, but that's, that's not without the range of outcomes.
47:33And so without, there's just, there's just too much uncertainty for me.
47:37So, um, we just, we don't know. Also like you and I do come from a time when we used to expect
47:44receivers to break out in their third year, right?
47:46Like he is, he is allowed to improve that's, that's in the range of outcomes too.
47:51And I don't want to completely dismiss the idea that maybe it's just all clicks from Marvin Harrison and we see the coaching staff Ohio state.
47:59Yep. Right. New coaching staff again. I mean, new coaching staff, um, that hopefully they can unlock and oh, by the way,
48:05maybe with a new coaching staff and Jeremiah love in town and the emergence of Wilson McBride has become a star.
48:12You know, he came into the league with like, oh, you're Marvin Harrison's kid.
48:16You're here to save our franchise. You know, this is guy who was drafted.
48:20What was he drafted? Like fifth or sixth overall or whatever it was like he was drafted very high.
48:26Um, and so now it's just like, okay, well we've got, um, you know, now we've got Jeremiah love.
48:32We've got a new coach. There's a lot of shiny objects that maybe take some pressure off of MHJ.
48:37So we'll see as exhausted Texans fans says chatty Maddie drinking Pinot again.
48:41Yeah. Listen, listen, brother, you tuned into the Matthew Barry show over here.
48:45You're damn right. I'm chatty course. And I always drink in Pinot.
48:49I, uh, Andy is as regulars at the fantasy football, happy hour bar.
48:53No, um, I love me some Pinot. I don't know what it is, but Pinot Grigio messes me up.
48:58Like I can drink tequila. I can drink vodka.
49:01I can drink. I'm impervious to beer. I'm impervious to beer, but you give me like three glasses of Pinot Grigio and
49:08I'm like, woo hoo, woo hoo, woo hoo. Like, you know, I like to be a classy wine guy at the, at the bar.
49:15I'll, I'll, I'll have a, I'll have a mall back or two.
49:18Sure. Yeah, exactly. I extend my pinky and everything like that.
49:22Uh, all right. Um, let's see. Uh, okay. We got one last guy here and we already brought him up.
49:28I want to get into Dalton Kincaid. So we're going back to the bills.
49:32Um, and I'm curious where you have Dalton Kincaid who we all love his talent.
49:37Health has been an issue for Kincaid since he came to Buffalo.
49:40Tight end feels like after the, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm assuming you are as well.
49:45I think Colson Loveland's in for a monster year.
49:47I'm at three. I assume you have been at three after the big two, um, and I'm in on Warren.
49:53I like Tucker craft at five, but it feels like after honestly, after Warren, because, you know, we'll see how healthy craft is now that he comes back.
50:02But after Warren at five, a four, there's a little bit of a crap shoot there with, with tight ends and, you
50:08know, anywhere from five to 12, they're all, they all have talent and upside.
50:13They all have some flaws. And I think Kincaid is in that range.
50:17I, I will say I, I am partial to the tight ends who don't come off the field.
50:22Right. And that seems like a silly and obvious thing to say, but like Fannin's in that group, Laporte is in that
50:29group when healthy, um, craft when healthy, definitely in that group.
50:32I like those guys. And the thing about the thing about Kincaid, even when healthy last year, didn't play more than 55% of the snaps in any game.
50:40And some of that is just, he's not, he's not built for all the dirty work tight end stuff, right?
50:46Like he's, he's on the smaller side for the position.
50:49So we're not, we're not asking Dalton Kincaid to play in line a bunch.
50:53And you know, you can argue that we like that for fantasy.
50:57We want to, we want a guy who's called the tight end, but really he's just a slot receiver or he's out wide.
51:04I get that. But as a result, you know, he's not always on the field when, when they're at the goal line,
51:11like, like Dawson Knox saw five targets inside the five yard line last year.
51:15Kincaid saw one. And if you're coming off the field when we're in goal to go situations and when we're in red
51:21zone situations, it's, it's, that's not how tight ends normally make a living for, for fantasy managers, right?
51:27Like we, we want the guy who's, we want the guy who's going to be out there and gets a, gets a
51:33real shot at like eight, nine, 10 touchdowns. Even if it's a, even if it's a situation where we'd say you're never going to get that again.
51:42You know, that that's, that's who ends up being like the tight end six, tight end seven in a given year.
51:48And I don't know that that's Kincaid's profile. He's going as tight in 12 though.
51:52I like him. I mean, he's going at, you know, 112 overall.
51:56And so I think, I think healthier here. I want to, I want pieces of the bill's offense here.
52:02This is a guy who last year was targeted on over 24% of his routes.
52:06That was third highest of the position. So I think it's just, I agree with you.
52:11He doesn't play a full compliment of snaps, but when he's out there, he's, he's one of the guys that target.
52:17And I'm hoping that DJ Moore being out there takes some defensive attention away.
52:22And so again, I think it's a low end tight end one.
52:25I like Kincaid. I've been a big proponent of, like I have a ton of Colston Loveland this year and Tyler Warren.
52:32So I've been a big proponent of sort of tight end early this year.
52:36But if I miss out, he's among my favorites.
52:39Like once you get outside the top 10, again, I'm a tight end 11.
52:43He's going as tight end 12 and ADP. So I like the potential upside there, Andy.
52:48So anyway, Hey, listen, that is our show. I want everyone to go check out Andy at the deepshot.com, right?
