Braelon Allen

PositiveRole55:05

Johnny Tuma prefers Braylon Allen as a short-term start over Ollie Gordon, citing the Jets' more promising offensive outlook. Tuma expects Allen to have a two-to-three-week window of relevance while Breece Hall recovers from his injury.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection7:06

Brock Bowers has looked very good through the first three weeks of the season, establishing himself as a notable performer at the tight end position.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection27:32

Johnny Tuma considers Brock Purdy the real deal, noting his cerebral play, sneaky athleticism, and ability to continuously improve despite lacking elite physical traits.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveSleeper6:55

Colson Loveland is identified as a potential sleeper tight end who could provide value, though he is currently behind Trey McBride in terms of reliability.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveValue125:16

D'Andre Swift is viewed as an awesome asset who is better in real life than his fantasy valuation suggests. He has been a consistent RB2 throughout his career and recently surpassed 5,000 career rushing yards, making him a potential buy-low candidate.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

NegativeValue25:03

Johnny Tuma identifies Dalton Kincaid as an ideal sell-high candidate due to concerns over chronic knee issues that he believes will inevitably resurface.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeValue22:18

Johnny Tuma traded Devon Achane and Nico Collins for Drake Maye, citing concerns about Achane's size and durability as reasons to move off him at a good value.

Insight page
NegativeValue35:35

De'Von Achane was traded away by the speaker in a move to acquire a quarterback, signaling a shift in team strategy to address a QB2 hole.

Insight page
PositiveValue47:01

Johnny Tuma and his co-host view Devon Achane as a buy for rebuilding teams. Despite initial skepticism regarding his size and BMI, Achane's statistical production and film performance suggest he can rebound from his injury. They believe his value will rise as he nears a return, though they caution against overcommitting 2027 draft capital to acquire him.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeValue122:12

Johnny Tuma. But is considering trading Drake London for a 2027 first-round pick if that pick is projected to be the 1.01, comparing the decision to the 'generational prospect' threshold of Marvin Harrison Jr. The value of the trade depends heavily on the likelihood of the pick being the 1.01 versus the 1.02.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection23:35

Johnny Tuma views Drake Maye as the closest prospect to Josh Allen in terms of long-term fantasy upside, capable of running and passing at a high level for the next 10 to 15 years.

Insight page
NegativeValue25:26

Drake Maye is a buy-low candidate in dynasty formats due to his elite physical traits (arm strength, mobility) and youth. However, redraft managers should be concerned due to a poor supporting cast (Romeo Doubs, Hunter Henry) and potential lingering injury issues from last season.

Insight page

Eli Stowers

NegativeInjury104:45

Eli Stowers is currently on IR with what the team has deemed 'not ready for the fielditis.' Despite his current absence, Johnny Tuma. But maintains that Stowers remains a high-upside prospect who could eventually be on the same trajectory as Trey McBride or Colston Loveland.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

NegativeProjection25:40

Johnny Tuma is not excited about Fernando Mendoza's fantasy upside, comparing his best-case scenario to Sam Darnold rather than a high-level difference maker like Josh Allen.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveUsage59:53

Johnny Tuma highlights Garrett Wilson's elite efficiency, noting he is currently posting career-best yards per route run and maintaining a high target share. Tuma views Wilson as a high-end WR2 for the remainder of the season and a strong buy-low candidate, despite minor concerns regarding his physical durability.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

NegativeDepth Chart40:39

Johnny Tuma notes that JJ McCarthy's trade to the Giants reopens a trade window, though he remains skeptical of McCarthy's long-term potential and suggests selling him if he shows any life.

Insight page
NegativeValue43:38

Johnny Tuma advises selling JJ McCarthy over the next few weeks, noting that even if he gets playing time, he has not shown the necessary performance to justify holding. Tuma suggests that McCarthy's long-term value might only materialize years down the road, similar to other quarterbacks who needed time to develop, making him a sell now rather than a hold.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

NegativeValue35:18

Johnny Tuma suggests that managers should be willing to move off Jalen Hurts to acquire Brock Purdy, arguing that Purdy is the superior quarterback based on film and stats.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeInjury35:55

Johnny Tuma expresses concern over Jayden Daniels' durability, labeling him 'brittle' after multiple elbow injuries and suggesting his slight frame makes him prone to injury on contact.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeValue111:14

Jonathan Taylor is a future Hall of Famer whose closest production comp is Walter Payton. Despite past 'sell' narratives, he is a player Johnny Tuma. But refuses to trade for rebuild-type moves, emphasizing that he is not a typical 27-year-old running back.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

NegativeUsage64:09

Johnny Tuma acknowledges that he and his co-host were wrong to fade Kenyan Sadiq, who is currently sixth among tight ends in yards per route run. Despite the analytical concerns regarding his college production profile, Sadiq is proving his worth on the field.

Insight page
NegativeProjection104:21

Kenyan Sadiq is performing well on a per-route basis and in total yards, leading Johnny Tuma. But to admit they were wrong to fade him. While he remains an outlier based on his college production profile, he is proving to be a more immediate contributor than expected, and Johnny Tuma. But is no longer looking to sell high.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveBust18:15

Marvin Harrison Jr. is currently underperforming expectations, leading to concerns that he may be a 'fraud' early in the season. While he was a high-upside target in the offseason, his current production is disappointing for managers who invested heavily.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveBreakout23:47

Matthew Golden appears to be breaking out, defying the negative analytics expectations that were placed on him during the offseason.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveUsage2:31

Michael Wilson is on pace for nearly 700 routes run in 2026, continuing Arizona's trend as the 'routes run capital of the world.' Despite putrid yards per route run, his massive volume makes him a viable fantasy asset.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon

NegativeRole55:05

Johnny Tuma notes that while Ollie Gordon may have a longer runway for playing time throughout the season compared to Braylon Allen, his efficiency has been lacking. Tuma suggests Gordon has dynasty value due to the potential for a full-season workload, provided he holds off competitors like Jarquez Hunter or Jalen Wright.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout31:18

Johnny Tuma highlights Parker Washington as a favorite success story, noting his shiftiness, wiggle, and improvement in contested catch ability as signals of his development.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout50:04

Johnny Tuma has fully adjusted his priors on Parker Washington, now viewing him as an elite talent rather than a flash in the pan. Tuma, who touted Washington all offseason, believes he is closer to Amon-Ra St. Brown in terms of impact and expects him to be a productive player for years to come.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

NegativeBust23:41

Rome Odunze is struggling to meet expectations early in the season, with concerns that his production does not match his high draft capital.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

NegativeValue111:14

Travis Kelce is identified as a future Hall of Famer who should not be traded for rebuild-type assets like a 2027 third-round pick just because of his age. He is compared to Tony Gonzalez at age 35, and Johnny Tuma. But prefers to let him retire on their bench rather than sell him cheap.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveValue5:57

Trey McBride is considered the safest bet at tight end. Even if his route volume regresses from the upper 600s to the upper 500s, he remains a high-floor asset. In shallow leagues, his value above replacement is elite, ranking alongside top-tier players like Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs.

1:30Johnny Tuma. Johnny, of course, famously has a show on PlayerProfiler as well, has been doing a lot of great stuff for them.
1:37But before I bring Johnny out, I got to tell you, I was wrong about something, Johnny.
1:42I was wrong. I'm going to tell you I was wrong.
1:46I'm so, so sorry. I know you guys are all thinking it.
1:49It's the elephant in the room. It is the Michael Wilson 700 routes run.
1:54Year two is happening. I can't believe this. This is incredible.
1:57Certainly not what you were thinking I was going to mention.
2:01But I am telling you right now, this Arizona situation, two years straight being the routes run capital of the world.
2:07I did not see it coming. I will tell you right now, Mr.
2:11Michael Wilson is on a pace for almost 700 routes run in 2026.
2:16And even with his putrid yards per route run, he's going to get there for you and fantasy this year.
2:22And I can't believe it. But to tell me about Arizona and way more than that is Mr.
2:27Johnny Tuma. Johnny is one of my favorite people in the fantasy space, a wonderful human being.
2:33He is so great at what he does. He's one of the best sort of podcasters and interviewers and question askers in the business.
2:40Genuinely curious and awesome at fantasy football and a great person.
2:44Johnny Tuma, welcome to the program. Jax, thanks for having me, man.
2:48I always loved hearing you, like kind of your approach to fantasy football and some of the things that you surface for me.
2:55So to your point, as like a genuinely curious guy, I always come to these types of shows with questions I have ready for you.
3:03Right, man? And yeah, I'm really excited to talk fantasy football with you.
3:07And yeah, man, you can't go wrong with Michael Wilson or Trey McBride, right?
3:11It was so funny because all offseason I was reading, you know, some of your tweets about like, hey, this is just not sustainable.
3:19You'd be a fool to think it is like this.
3:22We've never seen anything like this. And, you know, it's early, though.
3:26We're only two weeks into the season. Things can change.
3:29But out of the gate, yeah, it's starting to look like it's time to reverse course a little bit.
3:35It's crazy, right? It's like, you know, here's an unsustainable number that can't possibly continue.
3:39No, let's just continue. Let's just keep doing it.
3:42With the new coaching staff, yeah. Everything changes, but everything stays exactly the same.
3:47I want to get into a little bit of that Arizona team.
3:50I think we're going to talk more about them later.
3:54But yeah, I mean, you mentioned the Trey McBride stuff.
3:57It was like basically Trey McBride felt to me like, you know, the safest bet on the board probably at tight end.
4:04And even if you turn down the sort of routes run volume from upper sixes to upper fives, I still think he hits.
4:11You know, it's never like, oh, no, he's not going to be good.
4:15I just felt like at value, obviously, there were other players, Colson Loveland to be one of them, that I thought could get there, too.
4:23And again, it is still early. We're three weeks in.
4:26And obviously, you know, Bowers looked really good, too.
4:29But Trey McBride probably the safest bet on the board as it were.
4:33So all that to say, did you sort of make moves with Trey McBride on the offseason?
4:38Yeah, you already know, because I was telling you about this before the show, like probably the biggest trade I dealt with
4:45all offseason in terms of, you know, I may I won the year before and then I lost to the guy who was pushing this trade at me.
4:54So it's like with my biggest competitor in a team or in a league where I'm pretty dominant.
5:00And I had Laporta and Garrett Wilson, and he was trying to sell high on Trey McBride.
5:05And this one was just not easy for me in a nutshell.
5:09Like I like Wilson. I'm a big fan of Laporta coming out of college.
5:13Like I actually drafted him in that rookie draft in like the third round in a single QB league.
5:19And so I was just so happy to hit on a guy like him.
5:24And when you look at the traditional trade calculators, it's like, no, don't give up Garrett Wilson and Sam Laporta for Trey McBride.
5:31That's too much. Right. But I was telling you, you know, I was really my gut was saying having Trey McBride in
5:38a 10 team league with only starting seven starters, like having a king piece like that or a queen piece, whatever you
5:45want to call it on your chessboard. Like it's just such a advantage.
5:49And I was like, man, I think I can really actually really hurt my biggest competitor by pulling this, you know, elite
5:56asset away from him in a two for one deal.
5:59Right. But I needed some additional validation there. And so like I ended up using the OTC like trade calculator.
6:05And it basically what I really appreciated was it said, yes, like this is going to increase your odds to win the
6:12championship by like 10 percent, increase your odds to get a bye week by five or 10 percent or whatever.
6:18And it's also going to hurt this guy's odds.
6:21So I liked that initially. And then I took it one step further.
6:25I think the coolest thing you guys have is like you can have your league synced to sort of like a value above positional replacement calculator.
6:33And within this format, it kind of confirmed what I was thinking that like Trey McBride is right after, you know, Jameer
6:40Gibbs, Bijan and like JSN and Chase in terms of having him is such a value above replacement.
6:46Yes. And his value above replacement was actually greater than the two of those guys combined.
6:51Yes. And so, again, all of that was sort of the final thing I needed to be like, I'm going to do this train.
6:58I think I actually squeezed out like a third rounder for my side, too.
7:03Nice. But at first, I was like a little too trepidatious to even start with it.
7:08But yeah, man, shout out to you guys. Again, building some really cool tools that were super.
7:13I think the biggest thing there was that it was able to apply the context from the league and how it was
7:20going to impact my league mates and how, you know, that trade specifically was going to favor in that specific format.
7:27So super cool stuff, man. And I was telling you about it before the show.
7:31And I'm glad you gave me a chance to talk through it.
7:35Absolutely. Well, shameless plug for OTCFFB. But ultimately, I think your story and what you shared with me was obviously a great
7:42opportunity for me to let you talk positively about what we do.
7:46But I also felt like it was to talk specifically about what we do.
7:50And, you know, that whole tool is designed to create to give you the context.
7:55Right. Because trade calculators, you're right. It's like, is this guy and that guy worth more than this guy?
8:01It's like, yep, you should do it. It's like, that's not how it works.
8:05That's not how building a team works. And, you know, you'll DM someone and be like, what do you think about this?
8:12And they'll have some contacts. But the value of a replacement is huge.
8:16And it's like, where does Garrett Wilson fall in a 10 by 7?
8:21Probably sort of an average wide receiver because there's only like 30 wide receivers.
8:25So he doesn't create a lot of advantage for you.
8:28And you could probably have another wide receiver in a similar bucket that you could just put in.
8:34But you don't have the opportunity to start someone like Trey McBride.
8:38There's just no such replacement in such a shallow league.
8:41So, yeah, it's brilliant. I love that. And, you know, it does stand to reason.
8:45But then when the tool actually sort of echoes, you know, logic, it's like, that's a good tool.
8:51And we do agree. We do love it. So thank you so much for the kind words.
8:56It does. It works. It does work. Yeah, man.
8:59A lot of fun. Again, it's always fun doing a trade like that, too, because you feel like you're like a real GM, right?
9:07Like I do trades all the time. But there are some that just kind of hits you in your plums.
9:13And you're like, man, the trajectory of my like championships will change with this.
9:17This isn't me trading for like Devin Singletary or something.
9:21This is a this is a shakeup, you know?
9:23So you need all the all the support you can get on those types of trades just to sleep better at night.
9:30You know, I feel really good about it. You talk about looking at the percent chance that you make the playoffs percent
9:37chance you get a buy and percent chance you win the championship.
9:41All those percentages are basically just Sims based off of projected points, which it's not perfect.
9:46Can we make it more perfect? Probably. We're obviously working on it.
9:50But like, you know, the idea of basically just telling you this is where you're at and making this move changes your,
9:57you know, percentage chance to win this year. Like that's a kind of a big thing to understand.
10:02It's like does like if you're buying now and you go to buy Derrick Henry and like the thing just tells you,
10:09yeah, you increase your chance like one percent to win the title.
10:13You're like, did I even really do it? Why is it doing that?
10:17Well, it's obviously because you have some other players that you could play in that in that slot that you're, you know,
10:24he's not creating a value over replacement. Whereas, you know, so sometimes it can sort of tell you that maybe you're making a fool hearted trade, too.
10:33So it can be both ways. Dude, I need to get back in there because there was one league where it was
10:40like I went all in and we're going to get into some of these guys.
10:44So I feel like I just got to touch on it now.
10:48Like on the 2024 class, like totally tanked, got like nine draft picks.
10:52So I got Malik Neighbors, Romo Dunze, Marvin Harrison Jr.
10:55And I'm like, you know, Xavier Worthy just for to add more pain to the mix.
11:00And I was like, dude, I am set. I'm going to have like the best wide receiver core for the next 20 years in this league.
11:08Right. And before even this season, the tool was like, dude, you're set, you know, and now I'm like a couple of weeks in with those guys, man.
11:17And I'm like, I think I need to rebuild this thing again because it said I was like by far the, you
11:24know, not only the best in terms of you guys give the contender score, but you also get the total value score.
11:31Had the most total value, had the highest contender.
11:34And like, I feel really ugly in that league through a couple of weeks because it's start three wide receivers.
11:40And again, my best guy is like Malik Neighbors.
11:43I also have Nico Collins, but it's just like, I was watching the show you did with Pat last week and you were talking about that.
11:51You know, there are teams that are two and O where you're just looking at it and you smell BS and that
11:58team was two and O and I just got humbled this week.
12:02Right. And it's just one of those things where I'm like, man, I feel like I'm closer to having to go in
12:09and blow this thing up again than I am to actually contending.
12:13Even though to your point, projections would have told you I was in a really good spot going in to start the year.
12:20So, so it's true too. So the projections are a lot of what fuel the percent chance to win the value one.
12:27You can either use dynasty helper value, which is our internal value, or we, we import keep trade cut.
12:33So you can use keep trade cut value. And that's just going to tell you the value of your team.
12:39Now, here's the kicker. If you've got guys like Romo Dunze and Marvin Harrison Jr.
12:44And you think they're total frauds. Well, then part of your team and part of your team's value and part of your
12:51team's percent chance to win is a total fraud.
12:53And that's up to you, the manager, to see that.
12:57We can't tell you, oh, you know, we can't figure that out.
13:00That's, I mean, we can, but, you know, it's not something that a computer can tell you.
13:06It doesn't have predictive, like, you know, Marvin Harrison Jr.
13:09is going to suck this year. It just knows that you have to know that that's a possibility.
13:15That's in the range of outcomes. And do you want to maybe tether yourself to, because let's face it, you know, Marvin Harrison Jr.
13:22was a scary asset, right? This off season, he wasn't something where we're looking at going, no doubt.
13:28Even the buyback in, which I did on a few occasions, I'm happy I did it because I still feel like the asymmetrical upside of Marvin Harrison Jr.
13:37was worth the price paid because I feel like his ADP and his value was very, very weak this off season.
13:43You know, it wasn't like I had to invest a premium pick.
13:47In order to get Marvin Harrison and startups and stuff like that.
13:51Now, the pick is certainly not helping. I'd much rather have, like, I don't know, Jacoby Myers or whatever.
13:57But, you know, which is awful to say. But nonetheless, I still think it was a good bet at value.
14:03But you have to understand where that bet places your team.
14:06And now you're finding out. Yeah, man. Yeah, that one is, like I said, misery.
14:11And I was like, I see some of these guys on the show sheet.
14:15And I'm just like, oh, boy, our analytics boys are down bad three weeks into the season.
14:21Right. Rome's a fraud. Marvin Harrison Jr.'s a fraud.
14:24Lemon's getting off to a slow start. And the one guy we were like, the analytics will never let him win.
14:30Matthew Golden seems to be breaking out. Right. So it's just it's been a funny.
14:35But that's where I kind of bring in the Aaron Rodgers, like relax.
14:39You know what I mean? I do think things will get back to more of like a what we expected them to
14:46be state as as we get more a larger sample size throughout the season.
14:50Well, I want to talk about Mr. Drake May to start the show.
14:54That's how I want to start the show. But I'm going to do one thing.
14:59We're going to take a quick break and then you're going to hear my take on Drake May right after this.
15:06Welcome back to the program here with Johnny Tuma.
15:09Johnny. Talk me off a ledge. Should I be jumping off my house, which I probably just break an ankle or something like that?
15:16It's not that high. But should I jump off the house because of Drake May or should I hold tight?
15:22No, man. I mean, it is definitely rough as a Pats fan.
15:26Right. But like I think if anything, it's a buy low opportunity and dynasty.
15:31Like for me, I'm a guy who's always believed in the talent.
15:34Um, you know, he didn't play a ton in college.
15:38Right. Like he's still just 24 years old. So it's not like he was, you know, Bo Nix's level of experience or
15:44or anything like that coming into the NFL. But you just have to go back to the traits like he's got great legs, which is great for fantasy.
15:53He's got amazing arm strength and really solid accuracy.
15:56So, you know, the decision making has been questionable.
15:59The fumble that just fell out of his hands or the blank, the empty hand forward.
16:04Like haven't seen something like that. Like since Brett Favre, it felt like it is so bad.
16:09But, um, I'm still, I'm holding him in redraft.
16:12If that gives you any inkling, like I think there are better days ahead, but I do worry a little more in redraft and it's less about him.
16:21And it's more just the offense as a whole.
16:24Like I, I'm not convinced that, you know, Romeo Dobbs and Hunter Henry are like an elite, you know, Matt Collins is
16:31creating the most separation out there for them right now.
16:34So that just kind of tells you the state of what he's working with.
16:38But in dynasty, we're playing the long game and this guy's got 15 more years ahead of him being in the NFL.
16:45And again, young, extremely talented, tons of upside that we saw last year.
16:49So if anything, I think is if he struggles more, it's just it creates a bigger buy window for me.
16:56I'm always thinking big picture in dynasty and I'm more sold on Drake May than I am any quarterback that came out of that class.
17:03Maybe aside from Caleb Williams. So what you're basically telling me is that this is all Diana Rossini's fault.
17:09Dude, I was I was going to ask you, like, do you think that there is any part of this that is
17:16legitimately being driven by like the, you know, distraction that Mike Rabel caused this offseason?
17:21Like, is that 100 percent? Are you serious? Yeah.
17:24You know, Joe Kuvitaka said mentioned this and he's been sort of in our group chats been saying, you know, sort of
17:31tongue in cheek that it's all Diana Rossini's fault.
17:34But his real take and I'm going to let him make it here.
17:38We'll record Diana's underground here in a little bit.
17:40But is like, you know, that this dysfunction sort of kills vibes.
17:44It kills. It just isn't, you know, you can sort of feel it.
17:48You go to work. You're like, you know, you don't you're not bought in as I don't know, like the whole the whole, you know, biorhythms situation.
17:57You know, like nobody's bought into the whole thing and it's distraction.
18:01And, you know, on top of that, they also I thought they did a terrible job in the offseason giving Romeo Dubs a bunch of money.
18:09I did not like, obviously. I get it. I understand the NFL giving a lot of money to sort of second level
18:16wide receivers just because you have to have weapons.
18:19But I was like, Dubs and Boutte, I don't know, are they?
18:22I was like, maybe Dubs is that much better than Boutte.
18:26I didn't see it that way, but I was like, maybe.
18:29So I didn't like that. I thought just keep Boutte.
18:32He's basically as close a proxy to Dubs as you can.
18:36And then do not trade a first round pick for any, you know, old wide receiver.
18:41I just didn't like that trade. I was so happy it wasn't a 27.
18:45Yeah. Yeah, I just wasn't into that. I was like, you know, so I just didn't like any of that stuff.
18:52You know, I was kind of hoping that we and now we're back to where we were except worse.
18:58Right. You know, I don't know. It's just the weapons aren't great.
19:02The offensive coordinator does not feel, you know, it doesn't.
19:05This isn't a Shanahan offense. It's not like everything's easy for him.
19:09It just looks hard. Everything looks difficult. You know, their personnel, I thought, was a little bit better than, you know, average.
19:15I didn't think they were going to be bad.
19:18They even made the fucking Super Bowl last year.
19:21You know what I mean? It's not like, you know, yeah, the schedule, all this, that I get that.
19:27But I mean, they should have been better than what they've shown so far, especially on offense with this.
19:33You know, I just it does not look good.
19:36I wonder now if Drake may actually is hurt because the ball does not look like it comes out with as much
19:43life as it did at one point last year.
19:46Maybe that's just my eyes, you know, sort of.
19:48No, he's under thrown some stuff, too. And again, I'm just like, is that a touch thing?
19:54Is he just. Yeah, maybe. I don't know. I haven't seen anything about him like being injured.
19:59That would be. That's a hot take. And dude, I could just sidebar.
20:03I could listen to you say bootay and dubs all day, dude.
20:07Like the way you pronounce those receivers names. It's just money in the bank.
20:11Yeah, booty and doobes, booty and doobie. But yeah, I mean, he look, I know he was hurt last year.
20:18There was the I said I've said it before on the air, but there was the miked in, you know, Vrabel on the sidelines during the Super Bowl.
20:26And Drake may went down and, you know, was tackled on the sideline near Vrabel.
20:31Vrabel was kind of like helping him up near him.
20:34He goes, do you want to continue? Like you don't ask that of a player unless he's actually hurt.
20:40Like you don't ask a healthy player. You sure you want to go back out there sport?
20:46Like that's not a valid question of any player.
20:49Yeah, right. So, yeah. So it's like, oh, no, he's it may have been the AFC championship game.
20:54My brain is. But I thought it was a Super Bowl.
20:58I'm pretty sure. But either way, it doesn't matter what game it is.
21:02Like, do you want to continue is a very, very serious like thing.
21:06Like, you know, so I think he was hurt.
21:09There was some whispers that there was a shoulder.
21:11I don't know if that's still happening. Someone asked him about it.
21:15And he in in the presser. And he basically said, I just need to be better.
21:20Yeah. He didn't say anything about, you know, he's not going to make excuses.
21:25I just don't know. I just don't know. So if there's an actual physical ailment, is that now in his brain?
21:31I don't know. Now, to your point, by low, I think so.
21:35I just bought. I don't know if it was low.
21:38I lost Devon Achan on an absolutely stacked team that had some quarterback issues.
21:43It does have some quarterbacks, but this is a team that I want to be able to win the entire league.
21:49Like, this is one of my best teams. And I do have a QB2 hole that's being filled with, I don't know,
21:56Deshaun and who, you know, the Arizona quarterbacks. But later in the year, if he's replaced or something.
22:02So I was just like, this could get a little hairy.
22:05I'm going to try and trade Achan and turn it into something for this team.
22:10I'm going to go to the rebuilders and say, hey, guys, anything work here?
22:14And I made a Achan and Nico Collins trade straight up for Drake May.
22:19What do you think? Oh, love it, dude. That's kind of highway robbery, brother.
22:23Like, you got a wide receiver at his, you know, kind of at the age cliff about to enter.
22:29And, you know, guy who performed really well. But I was always questioning the size a little bit with Achan and the durability.
22:36So, like, moving off him right now at a good value, like, hats off.
22:41But I will say, and we'll talk more about this because you asked about some of the quarterbacks on the show sheet.
22:48But, like, there's certainly – I'm definitely picky about if I'm entering the trade market for a quarterback in Superflex and I, like, have to pay up.
22:56Like, you better be getting a guy. Like, a guy you're really confident.
23:00You know, like, for instance, you wanted to reach for Justin Herbert in a startup this year.
23:06Like, now you're getting burned because the guy who waited 10 rounds later is getting Tyler Shook, who's a QB3 on the year, right?
23:13So, we're seeing a lot of rosters in Superflex in just this day and age we're living in where you can kind
23:20of get by with the carousel QB2 approach. You know, Drew Locke one week, Case Keenum in week three, right?
23:26Like, you don't – Well, if you waited and you did Shug and, like, Bryce Young, you know, you have a super team startup.
23:34That was the skeleton key startup right there. Don't take a quarterback, but get one before it's too late with, like, Shug
23:41and, like, Bryce Young would have been absolutely huge.
23:44I thought it might have been Malik Willis as he kept falling, but he has not been the guy.
23:50Let me give you a couple more. I'm going to go to OTCFFB and pull up some Drake May trades and see what you think of these trades.
23:58Which side you got? Drake May and a 27 third for Jeremiah Love.
24:02Is this Superflex? Superflex. Yeah, easily Drake May. Yeah.
24:05Yeah, cool. Wow. Okay, so you're still in on Drake May because I think that'd be – Yeah, dude.
24:11This is silly. That was close for me. Dude, I don't know, man.
24:15So this is interesting. I think I know what you're going to say here easily, but Drake May and a 27 first for Joe Burrow and Ramondre Stevenson.
24:24Oh, you're giving up way too much if you're giving up a first on top.
24:29Like, I would think you would leave out the first and it would be Burrow and Stevenson for Drake May.
24:35Like, Drake May is still the closest thing we have to Josh Allen in terms of, like, upside at quarterback over the
24:42next 10 to 15 years in fantasy. Like, this is a guy who can run and pass at a very high level, you know?
24:50Yeah, here's an obvious one that, like, this team is just trying to win.
24:54Ready? Drake May and Chris Bell for Malik Willis, Kenyon Sadiq, Luther Burden, and Dalton Kincaid.
24:59Yeah, man. It's not even – I don't think that's that close, man.
25:03Like, I guess Burden is interesting. Kincaid is another kind of scary, scary one for me because, like, again, you're asking things
25:10that are open up a can of worms with some of these trades.
25:14But, like, Kincaid is an ideal sell high to me at this point in terms of, you know, always – like, the
25:21word I think of is, like, chronic knee issues.
25:24Like, they're just – they're going to come back.
25:27It's a matter of time. If we can get out of the Dalton Kincaid business and get in the Drake May business
25:34as a result, like, you're playing this game correctly.
25:37You know what I mean? All right. Here's a good one.
25:40This one might get you a little bit. Drake May for Fernando Mendoza and a 27 first.
25:45Nah, yeah. I'm still picking Drake May, man. I think Mendoza does not offer the upside with his legs.
25:51Like, I was never overly excited about the idea of Mendoza being some big fantasy difference maker.
25:57I think you're getting more of, like, a Sam Darnold in a best-case scenario than you are, like, you know, an ex-Josh Allen, right?
26:04And that's what we're really chasing after. And, dude, shout-out to you for demystifying the fact that there's not a whole lot
26:11of differences in the prospect profiles of Carson Beck and Fernando Mendoza.
26:15Shout-out to you for that one, dude. Because I think it ate eight to ten years.
26:20We could look back at that and be like, the signs were there.
26:24There was one guy who was kind of talking about it, but he wouldn't stop calling Carson Beck Steve Buscemi.
26:30Yes, exactly right. All right. I got one final Drake May trade.
26:34This one is between two people y'all know, the creator of OTCFFB, my boy Keegan, and Trav.
26:39Okay. I'm not going to tell you which side's which because I don't even want to spoil it.
26:45But Drake May, Devana Chain, Etienne, and a 27 second.
26:48So May, Etienne, and a second for Bijan and Stroud.
26:51It's a good one. I think I still lean the May side because, again, Stroud kind of falls in that bucket of
26:58like Mendoza, Darnold type of upside to me. And so it's almost like a Bijan for those three guys.
27:04And it makes me think back on that love trade we ran through just because like I do think love starts to
27:11enter the conversation with Gibbs and Bijan sooner rather than later.
27:15And those guys are just like priceless assets in any sort of format, having that, you know, superstar running back.
27:21I guess I just still have Drake May eyes though, man.
27:24I see a guy who is like QB2 in Dynasty still.
27:28I love it. Well, thank you. You're making me feel really good.
27:32Speaking of QB2 in Dynasty, Brock Purdy. Dude. You know what's frustrating about Brock Purdy is like how good he is and
27:38better he continues to get without having like amazing traits, you know?
27:42He's just so cerebral. Did you see that pass where he was running?
27:46He did a jump pass as he was going out of bounds and it was like this close to the receiver catching it in bounds.
27:54Like it was a catchable ball. And if they would have caught that, I think his ranks would have like been just
28:01shot up even more because it just would have been like a top.
28:05Everybody would still be watching this play. He is playing better than any quarterback in the NFL right now.
28:11And I had to go up against him last week.
28:14And that was just brutal for me, man, because like I like the guy.
28:19But, you know, when you have to like pray for someone to have a bad week who you like and then they
28:26just kind of remind you why you like them.
28:28So, yeah, man, I think he's the real, real deal.
28:32I just I can't figure out what how is he able to develop, continuously get better, better than anyone else in the league?
28:39Like what do you think his secret sauce is there?
28:42Well, Shanahan has a lot to do with it, right?
28:45So the system is great, right? The system is just absolutely outstanding.
28:49But the team is also outstanding. And I think he was good.
28:53You know, I've said this about Purdy because I remember like I'm not a Devy guy.
28:58I'm a dynasty guy. But being a dynasty guy, you rub shoulders with Devy guy.
29:02And Devy guy was all up in Brock Purdy.
29:05Brock Purdy, when he was a freshman, was like, oh, no, Brock Purdy, man.
29:10He's going to be great. Seriously. Seriously. And then he just was the same guy for four straight years in college.
29:16Everybody was like, hmm. That's fine. Like, but he was just good.
29:20He wasn't like, you know, he didn't rush for all.
29:23You know, he didn't. He wasn't electric. And so everybody was like, meh, I guess he's just okay.
29:29And then so the scouting industrial complex labeled him as meh.
29:32And it was like, okay, is he though? Like quarterback is one of those things where like Tom Brady's meh.
29:39Like he can't run. He can't jump. He doesn't have a big arm.
29:43Like, like, what do you, what do you want Tom Brady to do to make you, you know, get excited and take your pants down?
29:51Like maybe a couple of things, but not on the football field anyway.
29:55And it's really just, you know, does he have those elite traits?
29:58Not really, but that's not necessarily what makes an NFL quarterback great.
30:02And I think his processing and everything that he's been doing, he's just been a student of the game and he's actually sneaky athletic actually.
30:10Yeah. Like, that's the thing. Like, you know, he can escape and run and advance and get first downs with his legs.
30:17And that offense puts so much pressure on the defense with everything they do schematically that when that's the final thing that
30:24happens, you got to be like, oh my God, we had it all covered in this fucker, you know?
30:30Yeah. Escapes with his six foot, you know, build, but he is, he's kind of built like a running back with the legs, right?
30:37Like, and there's just, there's a lot there that it's, it's no longer a fluke at all.
30:43Correct. It's just, it's one of those almost puka situations where you would be, you'll never find it again.
30:49You almost feel like, you know what I mean?
30:52Like, okay, there's one fifth round receiver who hits that, like that hard is almost just a complete and total outlier.
30:58And it's like, Mr. Irrelevant, I guess you're, you know, Tom Brady, you could argue, right?
31:03Like the, but that's, that's the real edge in Dynasty is finding these guys who are complete free waiver ads before everyone else does.
31:11Like, and you know, I, I think you've been a bit trepidatious on this guy and I'm sure we'll get to him, but like Parker Washington, right?
31:19Like not anymore rookie, like, you know, a lot to, to write off there for years.
31:24And, uh, but at a certain point, you just have to trust what you're seeing on the film and kind of spot
31:31the signals that there could be something there, you know, and, and move first.
31:36Right. And spot that upside. Like he's probably one of my favorite success stories from a Dynasty manager's perspective, just cause like,
31:42I was just grabbing him off waivers everywhere the past two or three years.
31:47And he wasn't doing much, but it was just always something where I was like, I like the way this guy returns punts.
31:54Like, I think he's shifty. I think he can, he has wiggle.
31:58He moves like a, like a running back. And, uh, you know, then all the other stuff comes to fruition about him
32:05being a hard worker and, you know, honing his craft and getting better at contested catches and, and all that stuff.
32:11But it's just, it's really interesting when you find guys like that, that develop so quickly and continue to get better.
32:18And those are the types of guys that are so exciting, you know?
32:22Absolutely. I, um, let's see, I, I made a trade for Brock Purdy, um, and it was centered around the Jaden Daniels.
32:29Um, let me see if I can find a couple of Brock Purdy, Jaden Daniels trades, but you know, in terms of
32:36advice, I'll pull them up here in a sec, but in terms of advice that I've been giving, um, you know, fantasy
32:43gamers is that sort of, you know, if you lost dart and, or Jaden Daniels, the thing about losing those quarterbacks is
32:50a little bit unique in so far as that they were like top six, top 10 dynasty quarterbacks.
32:55They weren't like, you know, it wasn't like, oh, I lost Matt Stafford.
33:00How am I going to replace the points that, you know, um, that's a little bit of a different equation because now
33:06Stafford himself is a dead asset that you can't really sell if you, if he were to get hurt, so to speak.
33:13But these two guys being as young as they are and being as rushing upside and all the, all the stuff that
33:20we like about, uh, Purdy and dart, I still think they hold immense value so they can actually be moved and get
33:27something in return for a contender on the flip side.
33:30I lost dart in a spot where I am, I was tanking already.
33:34Matter of fact, I had even already sold off my QB two.
33:38I forgot who it was. I can't remember. I did have a QB two and I sold them off because I was
33:45for sure trying to get Jeremiah Smith and then I lose dart.
33:49I'm like, oh, this is great. It's a, it's a great team.
33:53I've got now the one-on-one I've got like six or seven other 27 first.
33:57I'm literally building around this 27 class in this one rebuild.
34:00And it's like, oh, great. I'm just going to sit on, I don't need to trade dart.
34:06I'm not transacting darts injury. I don't want me to get hurt, but it actually helps my team.
34:11Conversely, if you're a contender and you lose dart and or Daniels, I lost dart and Daniels in, you know, in one
34:18team where it's like pretty good team. I have to like make some pretty big decisions.
34:23That's where I made the Jaden Daniels for Brock Purdy trade.
34:27And I got a little bit of juice on my side, meaning I got profit on top of Purdy.
34:33Yeah. And people saw that I posted on Twitter because I was kind of curious what the public thought.
34:39I understand having either Jaden Daniels or Brock Purdy ahead in dynasty.
34:43If you're talking about at the end of this season, right?
34:46Because obviously now you'd rather have Purdy because he's playing.
34:49But, you know, if you, if you fast forward to, you know, Christmas time, when the, when the fantasy season's all over,
34:56who are we going to be drafting in startups next year?
35:00First Purdy or Daniels? I think it's Purdy, don't you?
35:03Yeah. Especially if he has a good run, right?
35:06We all have recency bias, right? And if he, if he keeps playing like this, like for sure.
35:11And there, I'll just kind of touch on this because as you were talking through that, I was thinking of a trade
35:18that someone else made in a league this off season that I saw it and I got uneasy.
35:24And it was, they got Brock Purdy and they gave Jalen Hurts and they got some frosting on top with Purdy, like a second or something.
35:32And I was like, man, total, total shark, like sharp move.
35:35Like go and move this guy who's probably going to be flipping burgers in five years for like the next Tom Brady.
35:42Right. And now that would be to your point.
35:45Like if we had advice going forward, I would say, try and flip that the other way around.
35:51Like be willing to move off of a Jalen Hurts and give a little frosting on top to go and get Brock Purdy.
35:58Like it might not be the most like clear thing because Jalen Hurts is the tush push guy and squats 500 pounds
36:05and they want a super bowl and all that stuff.
36:08But like, you just have to reckon, watch the film.
36:11Right. And look at the stats and it should tell the story that Purdy's the better quarterback.
36:17And so, yeah, that was one that like even this off season before this came around, I'm like, this guy just got
36:24the better asset and some, some icing on top.
36:26So it was just that one. Yeah. I was kind of, you know, when you see a trade come through in your
36:33league and you're mad, you didn't make that trade.
36:36Yes. I know exactly that. Yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah, there was, uh, I was looking at the database of, uh, Purdy for Daniels, just Purdy for Jaden Dance.
36:45There's a lot of transactions with them on either side.
36:48There were a number of them with just Purdy for Daniels straight up.
36:52Straight up. Yeah. I imagine. Yeah. And straight up.
36:55I mean, Daniel's like, it's a thing. This is the same elbow that he already dislocated before.
37:00Like the dude's brittle. Like, and, and I think, you know, we say you can't predict injuries, but like at a certain point you can, right.
37:09You can predict the JK Dobbins injury. You can predict the Jaden Daniels injury.
37:13You can predict a Dalton K and K knee injury and you will be right eventually, you know?
37:19And so, uh, that's another thing is like finding these guys who are just absolute gamers and tough.
37:24Like unless Brock Purdy has a torn UCL, like he's just going to keep, and I'm not saying obviously anybody that dislocates
37:31their elbow is going to miss time. Right. But like, I just think there is a little bit to assessing these guys'
37:38play style, how they take contact, how they fall to the ground.
37:42Uh, like this is something I've actually gotten a lot more interested in lately is like biomechanics.
37:47Like the idea of if a guy's running around with duck feet and someone lands on his ankle, he's going to like sprain his ankle.
37:55If they have his ankles in, he's not going to sprain his ankle.
37:59It's, it's pretty silly to say until you start seeing some examples and you're like, man, maybe I can look at the
38:06way these guys move and, and just use that to factor in the, the soft stuff that the computer and the stats can't always factor in.
38:14So, uh, sorry. We certainly, we certainly had mentioned, and I mean, we, all of us, everybody in the fantasy, uh, industry or whatever fans alike, everybody.
38:23We're talking about how Jaden Daniels was slight, frail, small injury prone, potentially on contact.
38:27Well, it's kind of true. He landed on his arm and it buckled twice now, three times really.
38:33I mean, you know, it's, it's not like, oh, that's awesome.
38:37I was right. It sucks, but it's like, yeah, we kind of did see that coming by the way.
38:43The trade I made was in a 14 team super flex half BPR.
38:47I got Purdy and Mariota for Daniels in a 27 third.
38:50Oh, you see, you got the backup to Mariotta.
38:53Mariotta looked good last week against. I love Mariotta.
38:56Yeah. I was arguing that, you know, the, if you look at the numbers, it's not that much different.
39:02Daniels to Mariotta. Seriously. No, I know. I know.
39:05In the last three years or whatever, what, you know, he's been just about as good.
39:10So it's, that's not great. Daniels did look pretty slick though.
39:13That first half against, uh, the Cowboys before he had the injury.
39:17That was, I think the saddest part was he might've been putting together like his best game as a pro.
39:23Like he was just running all over the field, uh, and was kind of brought that more dynamism or, you know, just very dynamic.
39:31And then, so, and while we're on the topic, it was definitely weird that the whole team just rushed off to the locker room.
39:38Like I do want to play devil's advocate. The kid imagine like, Hey, they're being told regardless it's a 10, 12 minute halftime.
39:45Come in. We got to talk game plan. We got to get you some fluids or whatever.
39:51Like, yeah, we'll figure that all out. But like, I just don't think anyone understood the severity of the injury either.
39:57Uh, but I'm, I'm making excuses for these guys at this point.
40:01It didn't look good. It was a weird scenario.
40:04It really was. It didn't look good. And I try not to read too much into that, but you got to read a little bit into it.
40:12I mean, you know, it meant something, I don't know what, but it meant something.
40:17It meant that they were told to get off the field or it meant they don't care about him.
40:23Something happened there. Cause it was unnatural to do that.
40:26I mean, you feel like you'd be like, yo, is my homie.
40:30Okay. Um, nobody seemed to give a shit. It's really what happened there.
40:34Um, speaking of dynamism, JJ McCarthy got traded to JJ McCarthy got traded to the giants.
40:39This kind of opens up the JJ McCarthy, uh, trade window yet again, I think.
40:44Um, if you are a nonbeliever, which most people are not, um, this would be an opportunity to start to say, I
40:51think he's going to, cause I think he's going to play.
40:54I don't know if it's this week. I don't think it's this week.
40:58Yeah. I just think over the next two, three, four or five weeks, somewhere in that window and the next month, I think he's starting a game.
41:07Uh, that's also based on the fact that I'm watched.
41:10Jamis Winston play for two weeks now and it looks jover.
41:13Oh my God. It's so bad, dude. Like people saying like, Oh, should or wouldn't be an upgrade.
41:19It's like, bro, have you been watching it? Like I would be an upgrade.
41:23I mean, Jamis would be an upgrade if they just had him.
41:27I mean, he just doesn't look like him. You know, he's not pushing the ball, whatever.
41:32There's a lot going on there, but, um, we'll see, but this is also an opportunity for JJ McCarthy.
41:38If you're a believer, uh, which I can no longer say I am because my son has just been dunking all over me.
41:46He's 10 years old. And he literally is the number one guy who like dunks on me for having liked JJ McCarthy.
41:52He'll literally eye roll and be like, bro, how could you ever like, it's pretty bad.
41:57So, um, you know, Hey, I'm up against all odds with this JJ McCarthy take, but I'm not going to leave it.
42:04I, I, I think based off of Sam Darnold and, you know, all these guys, Gino Smith, et cetera.
42:10I do think there is life for JJ McCarthy.
42:13I don't know if he's going to be ever good.
42:16It's probably not, but I do think this is a really good sort of life preserver for him.
42:22Cause I think darts out of the way he's, he's clear and then they can just bring them along if, and whenever he is ready.
42:30Kind of a nice situation. Yeah, no, it's a good situation.
42:33I think the best part you, you mentioned is that it reopens up by window that was like slammed shot.
42:40Like, I think I was looking at him and I'm like, man, there is no reason I have them in one of
42:46my like more shallow super flex leagues. And I'm like, there's just not a lot of reason to hang on to this guy at a certain point.
42:55If they're starting Carson Wentz over him, you know?
42:58But this is a move where if in my, in that particular league, like I'll sell them for a third, like before,
43:05before he even touches the field, if I can get it.
43:08In that scenario where you can't move them and he shows a little life, like I'm still looking to move them.
43:15My, you know, if he has one big game or something like that's, I think, again, your sell window is just a little larger.
43:22You can get a little more and I would take advantage of that.
43:26Um, so, but what I, what I anticipate to happen is to your point, they bring them along for the next couple of weeks.
43:34They roll them out there and he kind of just confirms priors.
43:38And then the buy window or the sell window closes again, where it's like, Hey, even if they keep throwing him out
43:45there for four or five games, like the one issue is he just wasn't very good.
43:50And from a fantasy perspective either. Right. Like, so, um, yeah, I just, if you can sell JJ McCarthy over the next
43:57couple of weeks, I'd incline you to do it.
43:59Would be my advice. Uh, because sorry, last thing I'll say on this.
44:04I feel like if you're going to be right about JJ McCarthy or Anthony Richardson or any of these guys, like they could all come around.
44:12It just might be in five years for all we know.
44:15Right. Like with Sam Darnold, with, uh, some of these got Jacoby Brissett almost.
44:20Right. Like we weren't hanging on to Jacoby Brissett or, you know, before he actually showed that life.
44:25And so, you know, I think some of these quarterbacks who were first round picks and have had a rough run, like
44:32we know, we all know that they could maybe show some signs of life when they're like 28, 29 and have time to sit on the bench.
44:41And like, that's a real outcome for JJ McCarthy.
44:43I think that's actually more likely where he would be valuable than in the next few weeks with the Giants.
44:50So sorry for the monologue there, but I just think it's an interesting way to look at the quarterback landscape and just like, if not now, then never.
44:59Well, probably never, but maybe in five years, like, you know, it's funny how these quarterbacks go from nothing to something.
45:05I'll like case Keenum, you know, it's, you know what I mean?
45:09Like who is case Keenum? He wasn't even the backup.
45:12Like he like miraculously got the start and, you know, it was pretty cool to watch.
45:17Actually. I loved it. I even, I, I shut the game off at the end.
45:22I never watched the post game interview. I was like, I'm going to watch this.
45:27You know, he was hoping last night, like old dudes, like throw a step back fadeaways.
45:32He was hooping, bro. Yeah, he was in. Yeah, he was.
45:35Yeah. Yeah. He was having fun. By the way, I pulled up OTC FFB just for some JJ McCarthy trades.
45:41You're right on the money. 27 third, a 27 second.
45:4428 third. I know. 29 second, 27 second, 28 second.
45:48Actually, this one was really good. It was a, this is great.
45:51Actually, it wasn't a 27 second. It was JJ McCarthy and a 27 second for a 27 second.
45:57Meaning. He knows he's moving up. Yeah. Moving up.
46:00JJ McCarthy for a 29 third and a 28 second.
46:03So a two, three swap. 27 third, 27 third.
46:06This one's great. JJ McCarthy for a 27 second and 28 second.
46:10That's the, that's the max. Anybody who can DM proof of these.
46:13Just like, I know these are actual trades that really happen.
46:17If you're watching the show, reach out to me at fantasy Picasso.
46:21If you got a second or better for JJ McCarthy, I will buy you a beer.
46:26I will literally pay out of my own pocket to buy you a beer.
46:30Just reach out to me. Show me the proof of the trade.
46:34Fuck. Yeah, man. Let's celebrate together. Yeah. If you, if you can get it, if you can get a 27 second, obviously
46:41it's an easy, easy, you know, sell for sure.
46:44You know, that's the ceiling. If you can get something centered around more than a 27 third, any sort of more than that, I think that's great.
46:52You know, obviously. So that's the value. That's what, if you're selling, that's what you got to sell at.
46:58All right, let's move on. Let's do. Um, Oh, Devon A Chan.
47:02Uh, is he, is he a buy for you right now?
47:05I know that, um, Joe Kuvitakis is right now buying feverishly.
47:09Um, you know, I'm okay with that for a rebuilder for sure.
47:12It's, it's no points and next year, hopefully he's good.
47:16Um, I would imagine they're going to have a new quarterback in town.
47:20It looks like there might even have a real good one based off of where they're going to draft because I don't
47:27think they're going to win very many games. So I think it all changes next year.
47:32They're going to have to reinvest. They're going to probably spend money in free agency.
47:36I think the team looks entirely different next year, which would lead us to believe that, you know, a lot of people
47:43might sell on A Chan saying, yeah, he's done this year and who knows next year, man.
47:49But I think next year he should be back.
47:51Um, what are your thoughts? Yeah. Yeah. You know, when you sent this over in the show sheet, my initial gut reaction
47:58was like, no, I don't like to, but when I'm rebuilding, like add running backs this far in advance, like it's typically
48:05like the final piece of the puzzle for me.
48:08And like, I will say I was always skeptical about him.
48:12Again, I kind of mentioned this earlier, like just being undersized, not meeting that BMI threshold, but like he's putting enough proof
48:19on film and, and just statistically that he falls in that bucket of athletes that you think can rebound from this type of injury.
48:26Uh, so upon further thinking, like I do like the idea of buying him now because you can expect him to be
48:33ready week one and his values theoretically should only go up from this point forward as he gets closer to being back on the field.
48:41Um, so yeah, in the, in certain scenarios, maybe you can break off buying him as part of a rebuild, but I
48:48don't want to like drain all my picks from the 27 class.
48:52Like I don't want to overcommit to that because again, you've, if you're rebuilding, you're trying to fill wide receivers, like difference making wide receivers.
48:59That's one of my biggest, like fundamental philosophies is like go out and get a Jamar chase at JSN and Amon raw.
49:06Like one of those guys. And like, we talked about like not a Garrett Wilson in this sense where like they're great,
49:13but they're not truly elite value over replacement. Like we need to be hunting out those, who are those most valuable above
49:20replacement types of players and chasing as many of those as we can.
49:24And then kind of, if you can fill like in at quarterback and wide receiver, I would still prioritize that and have a plan to address those positions.
49:33And then if I'm playing with like extra picks or, uh, you know, a couple young players that I can maybe move
49:40to get a Chan, uh, I'm okay with it for sure.
49:43Yeah. There's some, there's some wacky trades, uh, that I'm seeing here with HN.
49:48It's crazy. Actually. Um, I had one. I wanted to ask you, I saw one that was Parker Washington for a chance straight up.
49:55What do you think about that one? Um, you know, I think I've, I should probably answer that in a few moments when we talk about Parker Washington.
50:04Cause I think I, I've, I've already done it full heel toe on Parker Washington.
50:09Um, because here's the thing, there was just a question as to whether or not it was real or not.
50:15That was, that was really the question. It was, we did see what we saw, but does, is there a way that
50:22it kind of gets put back in the box a little bit where he's good, but not elite.
50:28And it's like, well, I think he's just elite.
50:31I actually think that Parker Washington is just really that guy.
50:34And those who had that take won the take, right?
50:37That was the winning take. So yeah, I, I think that's fair.
50:41Uh, I don't know if I could do it, but that's, that's, that's, it's close enough.
50:46It's close enough. Right. I think, I think it's fair because if you can sell, um, Devon, I can't, and get Parker Washington and go win a title.
50:55Like seriously, that's not a crazy, that's not a crazy.
50:58It's funny as a guy, like I said, who was scooping him off waivers.
51:02I'm like, man, should I look at selling like now?
51:05Cause this is, this is getting real. Right. But, uh, and again, we talk more on Washington.
51:11I've been the biggest tout all off season. Like I definitely lost some takes, but that was one.
51:16Like, uh, I said, he's going to be top 15 wide receiver.
51:20Like, and that was a pretty hot cake all off season.
51:24And, uh, yeah, man, I, it's definitely real. And I think he's closer to Amon raw than he is like, to not CJ for sure.
51:32Yeah. Yeah. Like he's a guy and I think he could be a guy for years to come.
51:37So I agree. And I did not, would not have said that previously, but I say it right now.
51:43Hell yeah. We're good for you, bro. Being willing to adjust the priors.
51:47Like that's a, that's a man, bro. Yeah. Be ready to be wrong.
51:51That's all there is. Um, by the way, there's some really great HN trades.
51:56Go to, if you want to have some fun, I can't read them all, but you go to OTC FFB and look
52:03at these, uh, trades for Devon HN. There's some wacky ones.
52:06Like I'm talking like what on earth? Uh, like HN for Ken Walker.
52:10Like, what are you doing? You know, it's a weird one.
52:14This one's the worst one I've ever seen. Devon HN in two 27 fourths.
52:18It's like, Oh, well, what'd you have to give up?
52:21Oh, just Jeremiah love. It's like, wait, what? Like the dumbest trades of all time.
52:26So some of them are just bad leagues or whatever, but here's one that actually could get done for a team.
52:33That's, um, making something happen right now is Devon HN.
52:36And he had, he gets Devon HN and gives up Derek Henry and Aaron Jones.
52:40It's like, dude, that's such a buy low, but the other guy is like going to win.
52:46Yeah. He wins now and you win big longterm.
52:49Yeah. I mean, that opens up a whole nother can of worms of like, what if Derek Henry breaks the all time
52:56rushing record and over the next four years puts up more rushing yards or fantasy points than HN does the rest of his career, right?
53:03Like we've to your point, be ready to be wrong.
53:07And we've all been wrong on Henry for a couple of years now.
53:11And that's where I'm starting to cement my tape or like I'm starting to land in.
53:16I think this guy is going to finish in the top one or two all time rushing yards leaders by the time
53:23it's all said and done, you know? But, but that's a type of deal that I'm trying to, trying to, yeah, it's
53:29still, it's a great example of, of like a deal on paper.
53:33You smash. Yeah. Yes. It's the way to get there.
53:36I see a couple of HN and a 27 first for Hampton and Judkins.
53:41Hampton's not crazy. I mean, not crazy. Just interesting.
53:44There's some, there's some ways to sort of use the capital.
53:47There's also some trades in here where there's some just like bonkers stuff.
53:51Like, um, like this one just happened. It's, um, give up a Marian Hampton and Kyler Murray and then get HN a
53:5827 second, a 28 first and a 29 third.
54:01It's like, yeah, that's a great haul. That's a smash bro.
54:04Like you're even disappointing though. I think like that's, there's, there's a whole nother story.
54:09Cause you've mentioned a couple of Hampton trades now of like three weeks in it's like, am I, should I get out of the Amarian Hampton business?
54:18Like zero passing game work. I talked about hitting on Parker Washington.
54:21That could be my biggest miss and probably more impactful was like, I was taking, uh, Omar and Hampton whenever I could
54:28in the middle of the second round. Right. So I'm kind of heavy on him.
54:33Uh, and I think everybody, every fantasy sharp expected the chargers to be a lot better than they are.
54:39And so that's, that's been a really tough one, uh, for anybody who thought they knew ball.
54:44Yeah. Yeah. No, it's a, it's a tough spot.
54:47The, the, the archaic, uh, offense is weird. It's just weird.
54:51The whole vibes in charger land are just charger.
54:53Rific. Um, so we're not even going to talk about them cause they're a total bummer.
54:58I fucking hate them. Um, I will talk about someone who, especially with Brees Hall's injury, there's something going on there.
55:05I think, I guess I would ask, we'll lead into it this way, which backup running back.
55:10Are you more excited to start in the future here?
55:14Ollie Gordon or Braylon Allen? Yeah, man, I'd have to look at matchups a little more.
55:19Um, knee jerk would be Braylon Allen. Like I think Jalen Wright was inactive with like a foot injury or something like that.
55:26I do think it's the type of thing where they'll want to like get him back and acclimated.
55:31And it won't be that full bell cow roll.
55:34We saw from Molly Gordon last week, once he went down and like, he didn't, I, I, I was always kind of,
55:41I've leaned on Ollie Gordon over Jalen, right. And I've hoped that when he got the opportunity, he would do something with it.
55:48Right. And he didn't like, he scored a touchdown.
55:51He had some fantasy points, but the efficiency just wasn't there last week.
55:55Uh, and again, that points to a bigger picture that like that team's kind of miserable.
56:00Uh, so like the, the jets seem to have a little more sign of life and you know, you still got to deal with Isaiah Davis.
56:09Like I think he'll be involved, but yeah, Braylon Allen probably pretty easily for me there.
56:14And here's the, here's the kicker to that. I think that's correct that you did answer the question that was asked, which
56:20is who are you more excited to start? Uh, I think Ollie Gordon gets the full season run out obviously, or at
56:27least some sort of full season run out. Whereas Braylon Allen, I think probably only two, three weeks here.
56:33I think Brees Hall will be back. It's not season ending for Brees Hall.
56:38So all that to say that you answered the question correctly.
56:41I agree over the next one, two, three weeks.
56:44I think I'm more excited to start Braylon Allen, but maybe Ollie Gordon has a little bit more dynasty value because of
56:51the, you know, the length of which he could get that starting runway, which is probably all season.
56:57If he doesn't lose it to Jarquez Hunter or Jalen Wright, um, looking at those jets who I agree with your take
57:04as well, that they're frisky at, at worst, man, are they good at best?
57:08I mean, Garrett Wilson and Gino, uh, Gino Smith.
57:11I almost said Gino Wilson. Who's that? His wife, um, Garrett Wilson and Gino Smith.
57:16Um, you know, is, does this, is this have lasting power?
57:19I mean, I'm starting to think it might. Yeah.
57:22I mean, for me, my biggest takeaway last week was, uh, it was more about Detroit being shootout city and any game they get into.
57:30And then like every game they've been in so far has been a fight for them.
57:35You know, like this shouldn't have been a fight.
57:38The saints probably shouldn't have been a fight. Like, because we're thinking about the kind of historic Detroit lions and, you know,
57:44that team that had the ability to get to the conference championship game.
57:49Like they had that sort of roster. And so you're like, should they really be in getting into, you know, close games with these types of teams?
57:57But the offense is just that bad, right? Like, uh, 30 first in yards per game, 30 second in points per game.
58:04So I think the bigger picture is like, you're firing up Detroit offense and their opponents, even like at all times, because
58:11they're having to fight to win these games. I think, uh, this was more of like a blip on the radar for
58:18Gino in terms of like, you know, people getting cute in some of my leagues being like, who needs a QB too?
58:25Like he's on the block and I'm just like fucking gross, bro.
58:28Like I would, like I said, I'd rather just give up nothing and start like Jalen Daniels next week and pay five
58:35bucks for him on the waiver wire. Like, how's that?
58:39You know, trying to hard ball me for Gino Smith.
58:42Like, are you kidding me? Yeah, I will say, I will say I do.
58:46I love that. That was well done. Although not in my league, bro.
58:50Cause I've got Jalen, Jalen already rostered. So you're not picking him up.
58:54And I will say I don't have him in every league.
58:58But he's rostered in every league because if he was available, I got him before now.
59:03So, um, I, I just thought, you know, he was a, they saw something with him because they got rid of Browning,
59:10which of course is a terrible name. So you got to get rid of Browning.
59:14Um, but they, you know, I think they, they, um, and besides we finally get to see J Daniels perform in a football game.
59:22Yeah, I know. I was like, who, if you would have told me before the year that Jalen Daniels plays more than
59:29Jaden Daniels in 2026, I would have told you, you're probably like, I, there's a world where that's certainly the case, right?
59:36Like Baker's a rough player, uh, like likes to get roughed up and usually plays through whatever he can.
59:42But yeah, his thumb almost came off, man. Like, and I was, yeah, that was gross.
59:47Yeah. He was, he was in some pain. I do think the, the Garrett Wilson, Geno Smith thing is real.
59:53I, I absolutely was another player. I was sort of buying low on this off season was, uh, Garrett Wilson.
59:59He looks great. I think he's, you know, the player that we sort of thought he was, I was just pulling him up.
60:07Um, hold on. Let me pull up my boy.
60:09Yeah. So Garrett Wilson, I mean, you know, seeing, seeing like 27% route, uh, excuse me, uh, targets per route run and
60:16like, uh, two and a half yards per route run.
60:19So targets and yards per route run are all good in this offense, which, you know, we could have said, oh yeah, well, of course.
60:27Yeah. He's a good player. But we were certainly, I think a lot of people were nervous that, you know, it was
60:34going to be a problem for him because the offense wouldn't be, you know, as good.
60:39I mean, he's literally, I think right now he's got the best yards per route run of his career, uh, you know,
60:46this year, uh, because it's, it's all going well for him.
60:50So Garrett Wilson buy back in, I mean, he's had some, some big target numbers in his first three years, 139, 163 and, uh, and 152.
60:58So, I mean, right around 150 targets per year.
61:01Um, you know, he's back on that pace, nine targets per game.
61:04As long as he sees those targets and they're as efficient as they've been, uh, he's a, he's a wide receiver to,
61:11you know, high end wide receiver to the rest of the way.
61:15Um, I would be more than happy to buy the stack of Gino Wilson, Garrett Wilson and Gino Smith, uh, together.
61:22I think. Yeah. Yeah. No, I'm agree with everything you said.
61:25I think that's why that trade that I mentioned at the top of the show is just so hard for me.
61:32Like, like Garrett Wilson, you know, kind of been holding on to him through brutal times, knowing the talents there and kind
61:39of selling them right before he's primed to break out.
61:42But, um, in that league, just for context, I think I have like Drake London, Justin Jefferson, Parker Washington, Devante Adams.
61:48Right. So I was really like working to fill a hole at tight end a little more and was a little more
61:55concerned with Laporta and, and just to play devil's advocate with Wilson a little bit.
62:00I also did just think to myself, like Wilson gets dinged up a little bit.
62:05Like he had the knee injury last year. And even in this last game, like he went down hard at the end
62:12of the game and like, he just, he's kind of frail.
62:15Like, I hate to throw that word around, but like he gets, he gets punished a little bit out there sometimes.
62:22And, uh, so that would, that weighed about 5% into my decision as well was like Laporta coming back from back surgery,
62:29Wilson, not being like, you know, maybe being one of those guys that is closer to injury prone than full blown on not.
62:36Uh, so again, I'm, I'm talking shit a little bit here and talking out of my butt, but like these were all
62:43things that, that did actually play a little bit in my mind as I was working through that big trade.
62:49Um, like even I'll give you another example. Like I traded Jamar chase for Brees Hall and Parker Washington.
62:55And it was really hard for me in redraft.
62:58And, um, because I was like, you know, I know Parker Washington's a guy I'm going to be chasing running back if I get rid of Brees Hall.
63:07And I was like, but you know what? These guys don't put up 1600 yards a year and 15 touchdowns a year perennially.
63:14Like they just, Brees Hall's cool. Parker Washington's cool.
63:17But they, you know, like one of these guys knows how to stay on the field for 17 games and produce for 17 games consistently.
63:25And again, I bring up that trade because now a few weeks later, Brace Hall dealing with an injury, Jamar chase, you
63:32know, is probably going to just figure out a way to keep his body healthy.
63:36And, and again, one of those movement pattern guys, a lot of the ways he moves his body is, is in a way that is preventative of injury.
63:45So all of this stuff going through my head, when I'm thinking about these trades that are basically dead, even I'm like,
63:52yeah, well, this one guy has been healthy his whole career and, and extra high end production his whole career.
63:58I can't say the other thing about the two guys, you know?
64:02Yeah. So. Well, one, one guy I thought I was going to be really excited to buy back in because I thought
64:09this season's coming in injured a little overhyped, but would probably start super slow was Kenyan Sadiq.
64:14Forget that as he is now sixth in the NFL at the tight end position in yards per route run.
64:21Not that that's the only thing. I mean, he's actually, I think he's like also eighth in total yards.
64:27So, I mean, it's like, you know, but on a per route basis, he's getting it done even in straight up, he's getting it done.
64:34So Kenyan Sadiq, what do we think here? Dude, we're eating, you and I are eating crow a little bit, right?
64:41Like this off season, I had you on one of my shows.
64:45We were talking about Stowers over Sadiq. Like Stowers is currently on IR with, I think they've deemed it not ready for the fielditis.
64:52Yes, absolutely. Like I say that because again, I go back to kind of what I said earlier about like analytics usually play out in the long run.
65:01Like Sadiq was the first position player with less than a thousand career total yards in college to be drafted in the first round since Benjamin Watson.
65:10Right. And so like I'm not ready to full heel on that take that like Stowers isn't closer to, you know, McBride
65:17Loveland type of player in the long run. This has been an interesting first couple of weeks where we're like, you know,
65:23getting smacked around a little bit about believing in the Kyle lemon and believing in Eli Stowers and some of these other,
65:30again, guys who check every box we look for from an analytics perspective.
65:34I think their time's coming in a nutshell. And I think Sadiq might be an outlier and that could be the case,
65:41but he would still be an outlier based on all the work that we've done.
65:46So that's sort of my stance there is like, I'm not really looking to sell high on him because I didn't have a lot of exposure.
65:54I was okay with being wrong on it. That happens once in a while, but we still took the right approach of
66:01kind of fading him at cost because there was just a lot of data that wasn't in his favor.
66:07So that's, that's sort of my stance on Sadiq.
66:10I don't know if that answers the question. Yeah, no, it does.
66:14I actually have some Sadiq because my, my, my take actually was pretty straightforward, which was they're all overvalued, like including Makai lemon.
66:21Like, you know, I would never, did you hear me say Makai lemons, the one Oh two draft him with confidence.
66:28It was always like trade out of the one Oh two and move back as far as you can.
66:34And if you can get 27 first plus for all these picks, get them.
66:38If you can just get 27 first for any late 26 first, get it.
66:42It was never, I love these players. They're so elite.
66:46It was, they're all a little bit questionable. And I would always say, I think Sadiq moved back to stores, not stores moved up to Sadiq.
66:54Right. I said that over and over again with my Sadiq take and look Sadiq at, if you were a second round
67:01rookie pick, I would have loved them. I'd have been like, dude, Sadiq, bro.
67:05Have you seen his athletic profile? A little bit shaky on some of his production, but he's going to be this unbelievable player if he hits, right.
67:14Which is true. If you're drafting with the 2.07 and your rookie draft, but if you're taking him at the 1.07, that's a different bet.
67:21Yeah. And I would rather just sell off that pick and I still would do it.
67:26Obviously, I'd totally be happy selling Kenyon Sadiq for a 27 first.
67:30Of course I would do that. Like, so I do think Sadiq's coming along and I do think he's more of a
67:37hit than, than I thought he would be early in the career where I thought he would need some development.
67:43He also did so against your aforementioned Detroit awful secondary.
67:47So we'll see if it sticks past that. Of course, there could be some, some more ebbs and flows to his production profile.
67:54If you don't believe, I think now's a great time to sell.
67:58Um, I don't know why, why you wouldn't believe he's getting on the field.
68:02He's making plays. He's running more routes. He's been efficient.
68:05Everything's looking good. We'll see, maybe give it another week or two if you're a, uh, you know, a skeptic.
68:11Um, but I mean, yeah, I'm ready to eat some crow and Sadiq.
68:15Yeah. Um, let's do, let's do some, uh, some, some running back stuff.
68:20Um, it was funny, man. You, you mentioned even Derek Henry, like out, outscoring and outperforming, uh, HN for like the next two years, which is definitely possible.
68:28Like for sure. Like even next year is definitely possible, but Derek Henry feels like the ultimate win now, uh, by, um,
68:35are you, are you, are you feeling that? Like that's a, that's a wise decision.
68:40It's been this way for like the last four years.
68:43Yeah. I, I have, he's probably one of my highest exposure players just because it's always been my approach of like any
68:50time someone's selling I've been buying, you know? Um, so again, I really stand firm with like, he could end up playing
68:57another three to four years and breaking the records.
69:00So I just don't, I don't like the idea of selling him in dynasty either.
69:04Like, even if you're almost a rebuilder, it's like, okay, then someone's broaching you with like a second, you know, or like some garbage.
69:12And it's just like, no, I'll just like, I'll rebuild with him as my running back for next year.
69:18Like he's, I know he's old, but he's just defying time in that regard.
69:22And like, um, the other thing I'll say is like, if you're looking to buy, I always like to wait.
69:29Derek Henry is a, is a cyclical beast, right?
69:32Like he's going to have these couple of weeks where he puts up 40 points.
69:36You need to have them in your lineup every week if you have them, because the upside's just so good, but you're
69:43going to fall victim to those 15 carries for 39 yards, zero catches, zero touchdowns for two or three of those weeks.
69:50Like, you know, in, in succession or in a three or four week stretch, that's when you move on the manager because
69:57then people start asking every time he has a bad game or doesn't put up 20 fantasy points, is this guy getting
70:04old or, you know, Oh, we're thinking it's justice Hill going to start eating to his workload more.
70:10And it's like, dude, it's the same thing. It's always been like, they're going to set him loose for 20 carries.
70:16He's a liable to house called two or three of them.
70:20And he might not in a given week, but you just have to live with that.
70:25And again, try and buy him when everyone else starts getting a little annoyed that he hasn't done much for a couple of weeks, you know?
70:33Yeah. It's interesting because I'm looking at like OTC FFB trade database and there's some Derek Henry for 27 firsts in there.
70:40And I'm like, yo, but I would, again, I would argue, man, like I've been getting offered first.
70:45I got like the one 10 for him offered to me a few years ago where it would have been like Luther Burden or Caleb Johnson.
70:54And there was like a good bit of hype around like those later picks in that first round.
70:59And it was like, I just still couldn't bring myself to do it because I was like, yeah, these guys are great,
71:06but can I guarantee they're going to put up 20 points a game next year?
71:11Right. And I was a contender, you know? So it just, it's one of those things where if it's a late first,
71:18there's, those are never guaranteed hits and they're definitely not guaranteed hall of famers.
71:22Right. And that's how I feel about, I actually put a thread out earlier this year of like, we got to look
71:29at who the future hall of famers are and, and, and approach them a bit differently.
71:34Because they are not like the rest of the, the population.
71:38Like a couple that come to mind is like Mahomes, Travis Kelsey, Jonathan Taylor, even Trey McBride is on this trajectory.
71:44Lamar Jackson. Um, you know, everybody was screaming, sell Lamar Jackson, sell Trey McBride, sell Jonathan Taylor.
71:50Like these guys are all getting old. Right. And it's like, yeah, but they're all also have like, you know, Jonathan Taylor's
71:56closest comp from a production standpoint is like Walter Payton.
72:00And you know what I mean? Like it's, you have to recognize that they are not like your typical 27 year old
72:07running back or your typical 35 year old tight end.
72:10Like, you know, Tyler, Travis Kelsey's like Tony Gonzalez at 35 years old.
72:14Right. Like we can't trade him for a 27 third just cause he's a 35 year old tight end.
72:20Like, but people were doing this sort of shit the past couple of years, you know, and it's just something where I,
72:27it's just, I'd rather let those guys fucking die on my bench than to get rid of them for like rebuild type of moves.
72:34Because again, if, if Kelsey plays one more year after this, which it might happen, you know what I mean?
72:40Like you've, you've got a guy, you've got a real guy, you know?
72:45So anyways. No, it's a good take. It's a really good take.
72:48And it makes me sort of start to think about how you can acquire these guys.
72:53First of all, first and foremost, I think is you want to target a team that isn't going anywhere.
72:59You know, I think the desperation to sell Derek Henry feels like way more when your team is in shambles.
73:06Obviously if you're winning, why would I sell Derek Henry?
73:09There's that. I don't even want. No, that's the whole reason I'm winning.
73:13He's one of the guys. So I think that's the first thing.
73:17And so what I would actually do more than targeting players is I target teams.
73:21I go look at the roster and say, okay, this, and I'll make the case straight up, especially, you know, I think
73:28most people play in max PF, reverse max PF for draft, which is definitely the way to do it.
73:34Dynasty game three, one Oh one here is have your league do the next year's rookie draft order based on reverse max PF for non-playoff teams, period.
73:43Because if you're anything else, you're kind of like, you can just tank and like not start a lineup.
73:49Well, that's stupid because now, you know, that's just dumb, you know?
73:52So anyway, long story short. And I'll go to a team that's like second, third or fourth and reverse max PF.
73:59I'll be like, bro, if you get some of these points off your roster, you can get Jeremiah Smith.
74:05And by the way, it is worth moving from the one Oh three to the one Oh one next year to get off Derrick Henry.
74:13I mean, would you trade the one Oh three and Derrick Henry for Jeremiah Smith?
74:18Yeah. Yeah, of course. No. And this is exactly how you have to approach your league mates.
74:23And I always hate that old adage, like this helps you more than or hurts helps you more than it helps me kind of thing.
74:31But like there is credence in that of like when you put together an offer, sometimes just, you know, explaining the implications, right?
74:38Because you're sharp, dude, I'm sharp and we play in sharp leagues, but not everybody's quite this sharp in terms of fully understanding it.
74:46Like when I was tanking, I had to like, I had to convince myself it made sense to offload some of these points.
74:53It's not always as straightforward as you think, but you actually kind of sometimes have to take a loss on a trade
75:00so that you can definitely secure that one Oh one.
75:03And to your point for 2027, that is more applicable than it has probably ever been in, in fantasy history.
75:09Like this is the highest regarded prospect that I can ever remember in terms of like broke the 24 seven scale already
75:16the most productive wide receiver at Ohio state history.
75:19Like, yeah, you got to do what you can to get this guy.
75:23And sometimes that means taking a loss on paper in, in the trades to shed the points, to ensure you secure the one Oh one.
75:31And I think this is just a super interesting topic because I could see big mates both understanding this concept and having
75:38like it turning into a, like somewhat of a masochist effort, right?
75:42On both ends of like, I'm going to cut myself to watch it bleed so that I can get one Oh, and I'll do it too.
75:50So you have to cut even deeper. You know what I mean?
75:54Yes. And, and, and just so for the record, I've done this in leagues where I've noticed nobody's paying attention to it.
76:00I'm like, Oh my God, I'm the only one smart enough to do this.
76:05And I think I got, you know, Caleb that way.
76:08I've got gente that way. Like, it's just like, Oh cool.
76:11I'll just, I can just sink a little further.
76:14I don't even have to. Sometimes it's easy. Like there are times you'll look at the, at the max PF and you'll
76:21be like, dude, this one guy's got it locked.
76:24Like I can't even catch it. I can do.
76:27Yeah. I mean, his team is so shit. So then it's like, well, I'm not going to do that.
76:33You know, but there's other times where you're like, dude, I'm only like 50 points ahead of this guy.
76:39He's got, and you go look at his roster, like kind of some bad luck.
76:44This is actually, his roster is pretty good. I think they're going to score some points.
76:49I think with a couple little shrewd moves on my part, I can sink below him.
76:54And then you start looking at the other teams.
76:56You're like, okay, what is the math that I need to do to get there?
77:01And like, it's sometimes it's not that much. I, I just listened to shameless plug dynasty inflection point, the dip.
77:07Nice, nice name on OTC FFB on OTC podcast network.
77:11But we have the great Matt Chester, mad jester on there.
77:14And he was talking about how do you do that?
77:17How do you sync to the one-on-one? Um, he was actually saying one of the best ways is just to sort of eliminate the points at one position.
77:26Sometimes you can just do it at one position so that you can, cause some, sometimes, you know, it's like basically best ball.
77:33Max PF is basically best ball. Well, if you kind of trade away one or two good guys, there may be enough
77:40sort of backup this or that, that, you know, they're still going to score enough and box you out.
77:46But if one position probably easiest at order back, I was going to say quarterback too, just because like, you know, you
77:53know, super flex leagues, you can have two Kirk cousins and they can still get them off your max points.
77:59Or they're not doing anything for you. Right. Except like pushing your draft pickup.
78:04Yeah. So if you, if you 20 points from those quarterbacks really starts to add up.
78:09And when you have no quarterbacks that are starting, you're in a very, that's typically who you're going to be competing with
78:16for that one-on-one is someone in a similar situation.
78:18Yeah. And if you can trade for dart or someone like that, you, you do it.
78:24Um, so anyway, long story short, I just think that's something that you definitely want to be doing.
78:29And, you know, uh, if, if Derek Henry is the type of player that is scoring way too many points for you, you'll get them.
78:37And of course the reverse is then you have that conversation with that person.
78:41I mean, sometimes it's, it's a catch 22 because like, so sometimes if I'm like, you know, in the league with you,
78:48I almost don't want to educate you to that.
78:51Right. Right. That's when you got to move very strategically.
78:54And, you know, I'm sure you saw this. I posted something on X of like, I just bent this one guy over a little too many times now.
79:03Like we did a trade where I traded like Lamar Jackson and Cooper cup for the one-on-one and single QB and ended up like getting B.
79:11John. Right. So just years later, he's like, what the fuck did I do?
79:16You know, I traded them like London or he traded me London for like Travis H.
79:21And a first or something like a, which is a one at 10 in that league.
79:26Cause I've win it. So it was like, he just started to look and he sent me this text, like series of
79:33texts, just like, dude, you have cooked me so bad in this league for so long.
79:38And it's like, yeah, because like I, I treated you like mushrooms.
79:41I fed you shit and I kept you in the dark and like would come up and tell you about Kyle Monunga
79:48and how great he was that you needed to move off to him and sell or get him and sell me Derek Henry.
79:56Right. So like there's, there's definitely a lot of art in terms of knowing your league mates, how to kind of create FOMO and FUD.
80:03And, but to your point, I always shy away from like being overly educational or like giving them too much advice that they would actually benefit from.
80:12Cause you now make them a more formidable opponent.
80:15You know, it is interesting. A lot of those, those trades that I get done are when I know someone's paying attention.
80:22I'll be like, Hey, uh, you going for the one on one?
80:26They're like, yeah. You know, let's get, yeah, let's, we can actually talk because I, you know what I'm doing.
80:32I know what you're doing. So we can actually do something here.
80:36Um, you know, and that's when it's a little bit easier.
80:39Um, and I think that was actually the Drake may Devon HN deal I did was, you know, he was trying to sink for one-on-one.
80:47So yeah, made sense, you know, whatever. Anyway, long story short.
80:50Right. So those deals actually make a little bit of sense when you put them in context.
80:56Cause when I just told you the deal, you're like, Oh dude, you killed that deal.
81:01Like I got broken players for quarterback. It's like, yeah, he kind of was trying to do that.
81:06You know, it made sense for him. It's a win-win when you think about, he locks up Jeremiah Smith.
81:12If he does it right, he's doing it next season with HN at running back, fill the holes in the rest of your roster over the off season.
81:21And you're, you have, you know, you have a chance to, I joke to them in the, uh, in the chat.
81:28It was, um, he goes, dude, that team has nothing.
81:31I said, well, it does have, uh, HN, Nico Collins and Jeremiah Smith.
81:35And he was like, yeah, anybody else. You start with that.
81:38Right. Yeah. It was just funny because, you know, the joke was this team has nothing.
81:43So no, you got something. You know, you're something amazing.
81:47Yeah. And who knows what you could actually leverage that Jeremiah Smith pick into.
81:51Like, I don't know, man, it could actually be worth quite a bit to just sell it.
81:56I know it's going to be very difficult for people to do and we're way ahead of it, but I think there'll
82:03be some, some cuckoo crazy trades for. Dude, I do want to close the loop on this with that guy who chatted all that crap to me.
82:12Yeah. One thing he did was, I don't think he realized he did this and I don't think trades ever expire on sleeper.
82:19He wanted London back. Right. So he's like, oh, I'll trade you a first for London to get him back.
82:25Well, now he's either the one Oh two or one Oh one.
82:29It's looking like it's shaping up to be. And I'm like, how many weeks and how crystal clear does this have to
82:36be before I smash accept London for a 27 first, if it's the one Oh one.
82:41Right. Like, because it gets almost back to that Marvin Harrison line of thinking of like, how far do you jump the shark on a generational prospect?
82:50Like, would you give up Drake London for the, for the 27 first right now, if you knew it had, but what,
82:56but what, when that likelihood starts to skew, what if it's only 50, 50 and there's a 50, 50 chance that's a one Oh two.
83:04And then you're like, who are you looking at at that point?
83:08Jayden ball in single quarterback or, you know what I mean?
83:12It gets a lot less sexy. This, the drop off is very steep from someone like a Jimmer, Jeremiah Smith.
83:18So I'm keeping my eye on his max point for how it, how it looks because at a certain point, if it's
83:25like 80% likely that he's going to be the one Oh one, I think I just have to take it and take that risk.
83:32Do you know what I mean? I think so too.
83:35Yeah. Because I mean, there's nothing else you can do.
83:39The other thing of course you're doing is by waiting is you're helping his max points for go down, but you're also
83:45by not having, yeah, by not having London. But of course you also risk him going, you know what?
83:51Forget it. So there's a, this is a very delicate one when you know you've got, dude, I can't tell you how
83:58many times I've had those trades sitting there where you're like, dude, should I just accept it?
84:04It's sitting there. I just, Oh, and then you think, think, and you know, the other managers forgotten about it because it's been weeks.
84:11So that's, that's always fun. Okay. I can remember you, you brought up JT.
84:16JT. See, people don't always remember when I say this, there's going to be some people are like, I fucking remember this class.
84:23Remembering the rookie class of Jonathan Taylor. Clyde Edwards hilarious, bro.
84:26Clyde Edwards hilarious. Look, Clyde Edwards Hilaire was the easy RB five or further down the board, even pre-draft, even post-draft, but specifically pre-draft.
84:34I had all these guys ahead of him and, and JT was RB one.
84:38He was RB one. He was the generational prospect and he was just awesome.
84:43And he was so clearly better than everybody else in that class.
84:46He was that guy, but yet that was not necessarily how it all played out after the NFL draft.
84:52That being said, the other guys were DeAndre Swift, DeAndre Swift.
84:56Many had as their one-on-one and he was awesome.
84:59Two other guys was JK Dobbins. God bless him.
85:02You're, you're JK Dobbins. And someone who's not in the league, who's still 27 years old is Cam Akers, who just incredible.
85:08But those are the top four. Those, those four guys, Akers, Dobbins, Swift, and, and, and JT.
85:14I think we somehow forget their like prospect profiles because Swift has been slept on year after year after year.
85:20He looked great again this week. Like he's been an RB two every year of his career.
85:25I think they said he just went over 5,000 rushing yards during the game.
85:30And like, he's, is he a buy low at this point?
85:33Like I think Swift is just an awesome asset right now.
85:37Yeah. Yeah. He's one of those guys who almost falls in that, like Derek Henry bucket of like, it's just better in
85:44real life than he's valued in fantasy. Yeah. And, you know, we know this bears offense can put up points and we
85:51know that they have an awesome offensive line and an awesome run game.
85:55They just re-signed him. So, um, I think that's what prompted that rant about that guy from me and my text was
86:02it was actually the Deontre Swift extension that set him off because he was convinced when he sold the Henry for Manungay
86:09and some change that Manungay was going to be the long-term answer for the bears.
86:13We never want to latch too much, um, investment in running backs like Kyle Manungay who are like six, seventh round picks.
86:20It's just bad practice and dynasty. And to your point, you can kind of always look back and be like, oh yeah,
86:27this guy was a top recruit coming out of high school, went to Georgia, was incredibly productive, was awesome.
86:33Like, and you know, the one knock on him has been like vision, I think.
86:38And, and it was earlier in his career, like getting dinged up, but over the past couple of years, like he's been
86:45tough playing through, uh, and the vision seems to be getting better, which I, you know, I do think a lot of
86:52times like running backs are slightly capped in terms of how much better they can get from what they were in high school and college.
86:59But I can understand like more reps, more career.
87:02You start to just see the field a little better.
87:05And I think that's what you're starting to see with Swift.
87:09So like, I think he's clearly the better player than Manungay.
87:12I think the offense clearly sees that with him as well.
87:16Like he, he's in less of a one, a one B role than I think everyone understands.
87:21And he's in more of like what Brees Hall was in before he was injured.
87:26Like the, what Frank Reich would call the bell cow role.
87:29Right. So if you can go out and get a bell cow and an awesome offense who to your point, his value just always seems to be depressed.
87:38Like we always get so excited about these, you know, someone just a couple maybe points or opportunities more per game than him.
87:45He's a total, he's a total value. Yes. Yeah.
87:48The other guy that I think, you know, becomes a value now is also Chuba Hubbard who has no competition.
87:54And even the competition that we fictitiously created for him this off season and Jonathan Brooks, even if Jonathan Brooks is the
88:01player we thought he could be, it's still going to be very, very difficult, nearly impossible for Jonathan Brooks to come back
88:08and take the Chuba Hubbard role unless Chuba Hubbard fails himself.
88:12There's no more open competition. That's sailed. I think that's the key to Chuba Hubbard is even if you're like, yeah, Brooks might come back.
88:20Brooks is the, is a B not the A.
88:22It just can't be because they gave him a little bit.
88:26He's hurt. It's like, wait a minute. It's going to take Chuba falling before Jonathan Brooks is elevated over him.
88:32In my opinion. Do you agree with that? Yeah, no, a hundred percent.
88:36I think the one thing is like, I've never been like, Oh, Chuba just jumps off the page to me.
88:43Like, no, I am one of those guys who like, I'm still a kid at heart.
88:48Like I love having teams full of guys that I like, like a lot, you know, and I like the way they play.
88:55And so it's like, yeah, you're, it's not the sexy pick, but it's like a good, good practice to have Chuba Hubbard.
89:02Right. But I'll just throw this out there that like in these sorts of scenarios where I'm not excited to go out and buy that guy.
89:10I might just look at, okay, we know Brooks is going to be out for six weeks.
89:15What's the running back look like room look like behind that.
89:19Right. Because running back Swiss ankles all the time.
89:22Like Trevor ETN is probably on rusted. He's injured in like almost most leagues at this point and is now just back coming back from an injury.
89:30Outside of that, they have like AJ Dillon. So I just say all that if Chuba misses a game or two, while
89:37Brooks is out, you might have a real scenario where Trevor ETN has value, you know, and he's seen 10 or 15 carries a game.
89:45So I just always like to, when I don't have a lot of value to add to the conversation, I like to
89:52say, Hey, like also look a little deeper, right?
89:55Especially in deeper leagues. Because even in some of the deepest leagues I was in, Trevor ETN found his way on, on
90:01waivers, which was probably correct at that time. But now we have new information.
90:06We know that Brooks is going to be on IR and I just think there's, you know, there's uncertainty in that running
90:13back room behind Hubbard, which could create opportunity for a former SREC running back like Travis, a Chan or Trevor, a Chan, whatever the names are.
90:21Yet another ETN or HN or whatever the hell they call it.
90:25Whatever ETN. Trevor more like whatever. Yeah. Whatever, whatever HN tube.
90:28Chuba is right now 15th in the league and rushing yards just to sort of put it, you know, in perspective.
90:35I think, you know, he's fine. You know, he's four and a half yards per carry.
90:40Like, I think he's fine. And, you know, that team is, is kind of explosive, which feels funny to say, like, you
90:47know, they're, they're, they're, they're scoring points. I don't know that you could do a lot worse than, than Chuba Hubbard, especially at value.
90:54I think right now. Yeah. Um, you know, I think if you sort of trade Chuba for another running back, like whoever
91:01you're trading him for, like, you know, I don't know, Chase Brown, right?
91:05Like if you're, you should be able to get a plus.
91:09Well, a big plus on top of, you know, Chuba to get rid of Chase Brown.
91:14I'm not so sure you're getting something entirely that different from here forward this year.
91:19Does that make sense? Yeah. Yeah. No, I get what you're saying.
91:22Both. And again, I'm always a big fan of like when people, the 1B goes down, it just means that the 1A's workload just is going to grow.
91:31Right. Right. And so sometimes it's like a game of attrition where this is like, obviously Brooks going down, you know, clears
91:38the competition for him in that sense, but it also directly means he's going to see more opportunities.
91:44Right. And then we start having to bump him up higher in the discussion of like higher floor.
91:49And, you know, I think there's a lot of chasing upside in fantasy football streets, but like there is a lot to
91:56be said about having, you know, your flex position filled with like a solid floor player who, you know, can get you
92:03eight to 10 points and not drop a donut in your lineup.
92:07Uh, so I always like when I can trying to have three running backs, like two in my running backs that I
92:14feel really good about, like two bell cows. And then another running back, like Chuba all the way in my flex where
92:21like, you know, you're, you're going to put a floor together that week because fantasy never unfolds the way we expect.
92:27Right. Like everybody's, you know, someone's going to underperform Colson Loveland is going to have zero catches when he was projected for 15 points.
92:35Like sometimes those, we ended up losing a lot more matchups than we should that are like five or 10 point games.
92:42And so sometimes just getting that low or that high floor player in your lineup, depending on the format and type of
92:49league, like that is, that is a good piece of advice that I would give to, to, to fantasy managers.
92:55Yeah. We might've thought that was David Montgomery. It's not, I don't think at all, unfortunately, but seriously, that was the type of player that comes to mind.
93:04We're like just a high floor, just a guy who's going to 20 carries.
93:08I still feel that way to your point. Like, has it been a tough run the past couple of weeks from?
93:15Yeah. But like, would you rather get the guy who's going to get 10 to 15 carries and three to four targets
93:22on a given week or risk it with a wide receiver too, who could maybe get eight targets, but could also get
93:29three to four targets and not do a lot with them.
93:32Right. Yeah. Yeah. There's certainly something there. Um, the guy that I mentioned to buy low on that I still think is
93:39a buy low and dynasty is Basial Tootin. Um, right now, if you look at yards after contact per attempt, this is the list.
93:47Kenneth Walker first, which is, of course he is.
93:49Yeah. Two is actually Kyle Manungai, the aforementioned three is Basial Tootin.
93:53Uh, and then, you know, Bijan's right there. Right?
93:56Like, so that's, that's, he's doing it there. If you look at total, just raw number, missed tackles forced.
94:02This is a crazy stat. Like Basial is actually third with 15, you know, and there's like Jalen Warren, Amarian Hampton, Scadabo, Swift, whatever.
94:10There's a bunch of guys. Bijan's there at 11.
94:12Like, you know, second is Jameer Gibbs with 22 care to guess how many Ken Walker has again.
94:1815 is third. 22 is second. Wait, is this miss tackles forced?
94:22Miss tackles forced in 36, 34 miss tackles for just, just in running the football.
94:27Nevermind. Also in the past game, he's got more.
94:29So, I mean, this is just running the football.
94:32Well, absolutely bonkers stuff, um, from Kenneth Walker, but you know, if Kenneth Walker didn't exist somehow or another, you know, but no, it's, it's crazy.
94:40So I do think still, we, we do like Bay shell going forward.
94:44I think he's clearly the, the lead back there.
94:47Uh, the yards per route run are okay. Um, over yard per route run 1.24.
94:52So he's still not, not doing much in the passing game, but when he's there, he's targeted again, they've kind of played
94:59some funky game scripts, um, where they certainly haven't been behind trying to chase.
95:03They were just sort of dominating a couple of times.
95:06So yeah, they've, they've had to turn off the, the, you know, the take their foot off the gas and two straight games.
95:14So anyway, that does bring me to, uh, Brian Thomas jr.
95:17And Marvin Harrison jr. We're going to finish on these two guys.
95:21Um, Brian Thomas, Brian Thomas jr. Played like 30% of the snaps.
95:25He is sinking like a stone. Like he, uh, I looked at this, he ran, um, in, in two of the games
95:32he's run below 15, Like he's had 15 routes against new England, 14 in week one.
95:37Of course everybody said, oh, he got hurt. Okay.
95:39Fine. Look, he's not, he's 52 routes so far total for the season.
95:44Um, Brian Thomas jr. Full panic. Yeah. Yeah. Um, uh, for like fortunately zero shares, zero cares.
95:49Um, I think same thing actually. I met him.
95:52I don't even know if I have one. Yeah.
95:55Yeah. It's, it's not like, uh, I don't have a lot of good advice of like, what did you, what do you do with them?
96:02But it was like all the advice I gave you was this off season when I was trying to tell you, like,
96:09I think this is the Parker Washington show coming out.
96:12Now, now the one thing I will say is like, we can't clutch the sand, like the harder you grip the sand,
96:19sometimes it just slips through your fingers. Right. Like be on the lookout for Josh Cameron as gross as it is.
96:26Like I said this a few weeks ago, I do a, uh, sleep stream stash, like starts and sit shows every, uh,
96:33Friday at 3 PM on player profile or network.
96:36So tune in guys, if you want to hear more of my voice.
96:40Uh, but like I called a dynasty stash after week one and I was like, Hey, this Josh Cameron thing might not be a fluke.
96:48Like that was a really tough pass in the end zone that Lawrence threw him week one that required a lot of trust.
96:55I can see him being a guy they like more in the like run blocking game and just kind of that like
97:02sacrificial kind of grunt work X role, which I don't think they like Brian Thomas.
97:07Like they want to run them deep on routes, but they don't, I don't think they love him in the run blocking game.
97:14I think there's a lot that he doesn't bring to the table where they see Josh Cameron actually doing a better job of it.
97:21And, uh, he's sneakily getting like 30% of the snaps, which is almost equal to Brian Thomas jr at this point.
97:28So it's like, I guess all of that to say we can go pick up Josh Cameron for free in any league
97:35right now, like even your deepest ones. And you're getting a guy who's similar production to Brian Thomas jr.
97:41So like, to me, it's not a terrible bet.
97:44And again, one of these guys goes down, you know, Jacoby or, or Parker Washington or even BTJ.
97:49We just would probably see even more Josh Cameron.
97:52Uh, so deep leagues, deep, deep cut, but he might be a thing.
97:56And we, I think I'm like the only one who will even say it because we have all those other names in
98:03that wide receiver room, including Travis Hunter. That just makes Josh Cameron, like a four letter word in the fantasy streets, but
98:10it's, it's gross, but it could be true long-term.
98:13You know what I mean? Let's say you did roster Brian Thomas jr.
98:17Would you sell straight up for 27 second? You know, I feel like you could probably get more in name value.
98:24I wouldn't look to do that exact move. I would look to try and get like, dude, like let's talk about Michael Wilson.
98:31You know what I mean? Like, let's talk about guys that people, to your point, like Deandre Swift, Chuba Hubbard, like some
98:38names of guys who just like, they don't have that aura by association in the fantasy community, like Brian Thomas jr.
98:44Still has a little bit of that. People are still high on the games he played with Mac Jones, like not Trevor Lawrence.
98:52Right. And, uh, yeah, like that's kind of how I feel about it is that I would try and get someone who
98:59maybe do a one for one trade of like a older, but more proven asset.
99:03Because again, when you start saying, Hey, I'll take a 27 second, it sounds fine now, but then you're like on the
99:10board and it's some fourth or fifth round rookie pick.
99:13And you're giving up a former first rounder for that.
99:16Yeah. You know, it's tough, man. It is tough.
99:19I'm going through OTC FFB. I don't see anything.
99:22I like, there's some, there's some on here that are like Brian Thomas jr.
99:26Straight up for Jacoby lane. I'm like, Whoa, that is absolutely brutal brother.
99:31But that just tells you like, I'm like, Oh man.
99:34Cause there's a couple, there's only a couple that are like him alone.
99:38You know, it's like, and for 28 second, there's one, um, Sam Laporta and Brian Thomas jr.
99:43For Devon HN. It's like, okay. This is, I like those moves more.
99:47That's cool. Like you're, you're tearing up, you're throwing in something else to get something.
99:52Agree. New and more exciting. Like I love hoarding picks, but that just feels like just locking in a loss on that one.
99:59You know, for sure. Yeah. That's brutal, man. Yeah, it is.
100:03I just don't think there's that many creative ways.
100:05I actually liked the idea of dovetailing it to the, you know, um, Chuba Hubbard, Deandre Swift, not crazy.
100:11I kind of like that. Um, Marvin Harrison jr.
100:14We're going to end on it. You know, I think, you know, we've been asking is Marvin Harrison.
100:20Harrison jr. Bad. And I was on the show sheet.
100:23I put yes, for sure. The thing I was actually, I think the curious question is why, like, why is he bad?
100:30I mean, it sounds so silly, but again, like I am one of those guys who you have to take the film
100:37in consideration with the analytics, like the analytics for Marvin Harrison jr.
100:41Coming out of college, we're absolutely undeniable. Right. Right.
100:44But then you watch the off season, just like him running the same route as Michael Wilson and your eyes tell you
100:50one of these guys is more violent in their cuts.
100:54One of these guys seems to have a better rhythm with the quarterback.
100:58And one just seems more intense than the other when they're running and playing.
101:02And like, that's, I think in a nutshell, like there's just not a lot of intensity from Marvin Harrison jr.
101:08Like whether it's at the catch point, whether it's run blocking, it just kind of seems lackadaisical out there.
101:14And I just, it is a totally different game when you get to the NFL.
101:19And I just don't know if we've ever seen Marvin Harrison show the type of promise that Michael Wilson has shown.
101:26Like, and so it's just crazy. But I think it's so cool that they both play on the same team because you
101:33can like literally see them running routes in succession from one another.
101:36And that guy was like a third round pick who people, you know, still think is gross.
101:42And that guy's apparently the greatest player of all time because his dad played with Peyton Manning.
101:47And like, you just gotta, again, like for me, it was something where in startups and stuff, I just couldn't touch him
101:54this off season because it was like, I just wasn't buying what I was seeing either.
101:59You know what I mean? And so I, I, I don't know if that answers your question, but like, I do think
102:06it's, it's, it's getting, it's getting late and it's not even that early.
102:10You know, the phrase like it's getting late early.
102:13Like it's starting to be like, I'm, I'm pretty sure this guy, uh, may not be it, but I did see someone
102:20say like, watch Carson Beck come in and make him look like Brian Thomas Jr.
102:24Mac Jones. Mac Jones. And I was like, things crazy or shit has happened.
102:29Like maybe it would be so epic. They just need to be so epic.
102:33You would love it. Right. Like I would just love that for many reasons, including the same reasons.
102:39I loved it for Mac Jones. And you know, the fact that BTJ has a Mac Jones problem is hilarious.
102:45Right. Abjectly hilarious. Right. Like he has a Trevor Lawrence problem.
102:49This poor guy can't get him the ball. You know, no, I mean, you know, but, um, but I think I, I
102:56do kind of buy into what you're saying. Um, you know, there were so many people are like, oh, this was a nepotism thing.
103:03Whereas that it's like, no, it wasn't. He was one of the best players at Ohio state analytically.
103:09Yeah. This has nothing to do with, uh, did he get drafted fourth overall because of his dad?
103:14Probably. But you know, I mean, I think there's a little bit of that there.
103:19Uh, but he was going to be a top 20 pick no matter what, based off of the, you know, off of the analytics and the production.
103:28Right. So I don't know, man, that's a guy that needs a change of scenery somehow or another, I think.
103:34Cause you're right. It doesn't look like he's trying.
103:37It doesn't look like he gives a shit. Like Michael Wilson is out there making catches and like taking hits and like
103:44getting up and like, you know, having that intensity in his eyes.
103:47Whereas Marvin Harrison jr. Is just kind of running, you know, some lazy routes, which is certainly a problem, uh, because I don't know how that turns around.
103:56You know, uh, we kind of saw that with BTJ last year too, where he was giving up on some stuff and yeah.
104:03So yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, when do you think Carson Beck, like what's your closest out with Steve Buscemi, dude?
104:10Like when does percent, I think is playing well enough right now where we don't see him for a while, but I
104:17did mention that scenario where like, it is true.
104:20If back changes, that is a huge shakeup for this entire offense.
104:24That means uncertainty for McBride Wilson. And it can only mean good things for Marvin Harrison jr.
104:29At this point. Like, do you think we see Carson back at any point this year?
104:34Yeah. You know, I was looking at that. I think they have a late by, um, yeah.
104:39Week 14. Hmm. That makes sense. And that would make sense.
104:43Right. When you go into your fantasy championships and now you're dealing with this new unknown, you know, they have a late
104:50by, and I think, I think they want to give look, Brissette's playing good, you know, air quotes good.
104:56Like, you know, it's not like they're moving the football.
104:59They're, they're not great though. So it's going to be interesting.
105:02I think, I think if Brissette were to fall on his face a few times where it's like really atrocious, I think you could see him sooner.
105:11I think if he sort of plays like he's played for the last, you know, two years, basically, I think we'll see, uh, back in week 15.
105:19Yeah. I, again, when I did a startup, that was, I went for Brissette and back at like around 20 and it's super flex.
105:27Cause I was just like, you know what? As long as Brissette's playing the on-field product might be ugly, but he'll probably get 300 yards and two touchdowns.
105:36And like when he's not playing, I'll throw in back.
105:39And again, my QB one was Tyler Shook. So I completely faded quarterback in that super flex startup.
105:44And I am as of now three and O and highest contender score on, uh, OTC.
105:49So, uh, yeah, a lot of fun talking dynasty with you, man.
105:53It's so fun, especially during the season, just to think about this stuff, big picture.
105:58Cause we get so much redraft brain, but like talking through this stuff, actioning some of this stuff is what's going to keep people ahead.
106:06You know? Yeah. Thank you so much for coming on.
106:09You were great. I can talk to you forever.
106:12You're great. Love it. You do such great work.
106:15I really appreciate you and, uh, look forward to having you on again.
106:19Was this your maiden voyage? No, you've been on.
106:21No, this is my first time with you. That's right.
106:25You've been on a couple of my shows. So I'm always, I'm always the host.
106:29I'm never the guest. So I appreciate you letting me join.
106:33That's true. I've done, I think I've done your show like at least twice or something like that.
106:38So I thought that we had done it before, but congratulations.
106:42You did great. You were great. First time on undrafted.
106:45Thank you so much for being here. And on behalf of everybody here at undrafted, on behalf of everybody here at OTC,
