Adonai Mitchell

PositiveUsage35:52

Adonai Mitchell is a flex-worthy add (3-5% FAAB) who has out-targeted Garrett Wilson this season. Pete Nova notes his 38 routes run and 59 snaps in the most recent game, suggesting he is a reliable option while Amari Cooper misses time.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

PositiveUsage8:40

Pete Nova highlights Kamara as a priority waiver add due to his receiving role in a good offense, despite a split backfield with Travis Etienne. Kamara saw 19 snaps and 6 targets on 8 routes in Week 2. Nova suggests a 2-5% FAAB bid, viewing him as a flex option rather than a locked-in RB2.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

NegativeValue24:04

Pete Nova explicitly states he would prefer Tyler Shuck over Baker Mayfield for the remainder of the season.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection24:40

Bryce Young is the number two fantasy quarterback through two weeks with 55.5 points and six touchdowns. Pete Nova acknowledges his high-level play but urges caution, noting he has faced weak defenses (Chicago, Atlanta) and has a beat-up offensive line. Nova recommends a 3-5% FAAB bid but prefers Tyler Shuck.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveSleeper61:01

Pete Nova identifies Bell as an interesting upside stash who may have a higher ceiling than Malik Washington if Caleb Douglas misses time.

Insight page

Darren Waller

PositiveUsage58:35

Pete Nova notes Waller has a knack for the end zone, scoring two touchdowns recently. While he is likely the third option in the Panthers' passing game, he is an interesting speculative add for teams needing tight end help.

Insight page

Demond Claiborne

PositiveValue55:46

Pete Nova highlights Claiborne as a handcuff to target, noting that Aaron Jones has a history of injury issues and Claiborne is the clear backup in Minnesota.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveUsage31:43

Denzel Boston is a priority add (5-7% FAAB) after a 92.7% snap share and 23% target rate performance. Pete Nova notes he is being used in intermediate routes rather than just deep balls, providing a high floor. He is preferred over Casey Concepcion due to higher-value red zone opportunities.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout61:54

Pete Nova recommends dropping Quentin Johnson for Denzel Boston, arguing that Boston has a better chance to become the number one target in his offense and possesses first-round talent.

Insight page

Dontayvion Wicks

PositiveRole37:57

Dontayvion Wicks is a 3-4% FAAB target who has stepped up as the clear WR2 in the Packers offense. Pete Nova notes his 27 routes run and high target share (6 targets on 27 routes) and expects him to remain effective while Dallas Goedert is sidelined.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

NegativeUsage54:43

Pete Nova notes Wilson had 20+ carries last week but questions his standalone value, as Jordan Mason is expected to return and George Holani remains involved as a receiving back.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveValue27:21

Geno Smith is a viable deep-league streaming option with a favorable schedule (Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland). Pete Nova highlights his rushing usage (tied for 9th in attempts) and solid floor, labeling him a fringe top-15 quarterback for the upcoming stretch.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveValue3:37

Pete Nova advises caution despite the hype, recommending a 10-20% FAAB bid. Coleman is talented and in a good offense, but faces a tough upcoming schedule (Rams, 49ers, Chargers) and remains in a committee with J.K. Dobbins. He is best suited for deep leagues (14+ teams) where waiver options are thin.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeValue24:10

Pete Nova prefers Justin Herbert over Tyler Shuck rest-of-season due to upside, but advises rostering Shuck as a QB2 because Herbert has a difficult schedule over the next few weeks.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeValue56:47

Pete Nova notes that while Allen looked his age recently, he remains a viable flex option in a Colts passing game that lacks depth, provided he can shake off the rust.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

NegativeSleeper60:30

Pete Nova is not a big fan of Coleman but acknowledges he looked comfortable and could see increased opportunity if DJ Moore misses time.

Insight page

Khalil Shakir

NegativeValue40:05

Khalil Shakir is a low-priority add (safe flex option) who is currently the fourth option in the Bills' passing attack behind Dalton Kincaid, James Cook, and eventually DJ Moore. Pete Nova suggests adding him only if DJ Moore misses time.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeProjection61:13

Pete Nova notes Willis has provided a decent fantasy floor due to his rushing ability, though he cautions that the upcoming schedule is brutal and Willis hasn't been running as much as expected.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

PositiveValue54:14

Pete Nova suggests Mariota as a deep-league quarterback add, noting his rushing upside and the quality of weapons in the Commanders' offense while Jayden Daniels is sidelined.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeBust20:42

Pete Nova expresses low confidence in Marshawn Lloyd, noting his inefficiency (3.3 YPC) and a costly fumble in Week 2 that removed him from the game. Nova suggests managers should not hesitate to drop Lloyd if a better waiver option is available.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

NegativeBust52:57

Pete Nova considers Michael Mayer droppable, noting that his role is likely to diminish further once Brock Bowers returns to the Raiders' lineup.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

PositiveValue47:32

Pete Nova recommends spending 3% to 4% FAAB on Friermuth, who is running routes from the slot and can serve as the Steelers' number two target. He faces a favorable upcoming schedule against Cincinnati and the Colts, both of whom have struggled against tight ends.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

NegativeValue57:26

Pete Nova is not excited about Bateman, expecting him to be the third option once Zay Flowers returns. He is only worth adding for free (0-2% FAAB) if Flowers remains out.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

NegativeValue30:41

Pete Nova views Tank Bigsby as a necessary roster hold in deeper leagues, especially as a handcuff to Saquon Barkley. Despite a touchdown in Week 2, Bigsby remains a secondary option behind Will Shipley in the passing game. Nova suggests a 1-2% FAAB bid.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveValue49:40

Pete Nova ranks Ferguson as a higher priority add than both Pat Friermuth and Arande Gadsden. Ferguson is in a good offense and has the potential to be the number two target while Puka Nacua is sidelined. He saw a massive 50% target share in Week 2 and is worth a 3% to 5% FAAB bid.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeUsage10:34

Pete Nova notes confusion regarding the New Orleans backfield split between Travis Etienne and Alvin Kamara. Etienne played 34 snaps to Kamara's 19 in Week 2, but the team's usage patterns remain inconsistent, especially following the healthy scratch of Kendre Miller.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

PositiveRole34:04

Trey Tucker has solidified himself as the Raiders' WR1, leading the team in routes run. Pete Nova recommends a 4-6% FAAB bid, noting favorable upcoming game scripts against the Saints, Chiefs, and Patriots. He remains a target despite the potential return of Brock Bowers.

0:00Y'all know I have a Jeff Janis signed rookie card, one of my prized possessions, and this year I'm taking card collecting
0:07more seriously and that means targeting Parker Washington rookie cards.
0:11That's right, a former undrafted rookie. He's about to break out and most people never saw it coming.
0:16And I've been inspired by a new app called WhatNot.
0:20WhatNot is the best place to find the right cards for you.
0:24Your sellers know their stuff, they aren't just people clearing out a garage, they're dedicated businesses going live around the clock and
0:31they know what they're selling, what's rare, why condition it.
0:34WhatNot actually matters. You can ask questions and get an instant answer because it's a community, you're not scrolling alone, you're in
0:41a live chat with other collectors, people who want to talk about the same rookies you want to talk about.
0:48WhatNot is why I'm much more into card collecting now than I was before.
0:53And you can get $20 off your first purchase right now.
0:56Just search WhatNot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the app store, download it, sign up, and start finding the things you've been chasing.
1:03That is WhatNot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the app store to get $20 off.
1:07Terms apply. This episode is brought to you by Google Chrome.
1:10You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome?
1:14That's new. It can help you with practically anything on the web, like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50-page restoration block,
1:21or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks.
1:25Gemini and Chrome is here for it. Ready to make anything online make sense?
1:29There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up required.
1:33Compatibility and availability varies 18+. Week 3 is officially here.
1:36It is the Waiver Wire show with Pete Nova here on Player Profiler.
1:40Tons of players injured this week and tons of breakouts.
1:43This is probably the best week so far if you're counting week 0 heading into week 1 for Waiver Wires this week.
1:51So stick around, stay tuned. We've got a great show for you right here on Player Profiler.
1:56All righty, folks. Let's just jump straight into the action.
2:00I am Pete Nova, your host. If you guys are enjoying the show, do enjoy the channel.
2:05Make sure you hit that thumbs up. Make sure you subscribe.
2:09Let's just kick it over to running backs first, just because the quarterbacks feel a little bit redundant this week compared to last week.
2:17So let's start off with the running back position and we'll start off with Jonah Coleman, right?
2:22Jonah Coleman is going to be the guy that everybody is touting to go pick up and everybody is telling you to, you know, blow your fab on.
2:31And I totally understand it. Coleman's only rostered in 26% of leagues and people will sit there and say, how is this guy available?
2:39He was talked about a lot in the offseason, but then some other backs like RJ Harvey got a little bit of steam with a solid preseason performance.
2:49And then week one came and there really wasn't much touches for Jonah Coleman, you know, in the first week for the Broncos versus the Chiefs.
2:57I mean, their running game was pretty much non-existent.
3:00He didn't have a single carry in week number one.
3:03So I think that spooked a lot of people to say, yeah, you know what?
3:08Maybe Jonah Coleman's not going to be a guy right now and people wanted other players to pick up for priority and maybe dropped him.
3:16That's what I think happened a lot in leagues.
3:19And to be honest, this is that was why I was hesitant on telling people to draft Jonah Coleman over a lot
3:27of players just because I said, hey, if you're not comfortable holding this guy and waiting out for an injury, then you
3:34could end up being pretty disappointed because you might end up dropping him and people were drafting him pretty high.
3:40You know, in a lot of cases he was being drafted in that like one 21 30 range.
3:46And that was a no for me. But let's just talk about Jonah Coleman.
3:51His next three opponents are the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Chargers.
3:57So not the best schedule coming up. I have 10 to 20 percent FAAB is what I would spend on Jonah Coleman.
4:04The talk already is that, you know, he's going to be the guy and I'm not really that comfortable spending more than 20 percent on him.
4:12Maybe if I'm in a really deep league with 14 or more owners where waivers are extremely thin and there's not going
4:20to be guys that are going to have this kind of chance to potentially be the guy in a good offense.
4:26That's very talented like Jonah Coleman. And so in those leagues, I would be OK with maybe spending a little bit more
4:34with just understanding that there's a good chance that you're not going to, you know, get many viable weeks until there is an injury where Dobbins isn't playing.
4:43Or, you know, you get to the second half of the year and, you know, they want to start to transition to Jonah Coleman.
4:51So I just want to give people caution. Coleman 10 carries 39 yards this past week.
4:56He ran six routes, three targets, three catches, 19 yards.
4:59And he also ran in a touchdown in 14.8 fantasy points on the week, which was a really good sign, of course.
5:07But again, I would express caution. RJ Harvey did practice on limited fashion last week.
5:11And on top of that, they're saying Dobbins is healthy and OK.
5:15I mean, we shall see, you know, who really knows when it comes to J.K.
5:20Dobbins if he's going to stay healthy. Next guy that we're going to talk about is going to be Alvin Kamara.
5:27Alvin Kamara is not really an exciting name to talk about, but I have him as my second priority for running backs right now.
5:35He's only 29 percent rostered. He did not play his first week.
5:39He came back way sooner than people had expected.
5:42He's only rostered in 29 percent of leagues right now.
5:45Kamara was a player that was drafted very late in fantasy leagues this year.
5:50Just because he was dealing with injury, it sounded like he could miss a month of the season.
5:56And then all of a sudden, you know, we get to close to week one starting and there's rumors that he's going to give it a go potentially.
6:05And then he didn't play week one. But when you talk about running backs with legitimate receiving roles in a good offense,
6:12they're hard to find on the waiver wire. And that is Alvin Kamara right now.
6:17Look, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that Alvin Kamara is the Alvin Kamara of old.
6:23And I'm not going to say that he should be getting the touches and he should be the featured guy.
6:30But for whatever reason, he was looked at a ton this past week.
6:34You know, he had 19 snaps to Travis Eten's 34 in week number two.
6:39But you also look at the rushing attempts. He had one more rushing attempt than Travis Eten.
6:44He only averaged 1.7 yards per carry, though. But the receiving work is where I'm most interested here.
6:50He ran eight routes. But on those eight routes, he was targeted six times.
6:55Got five of those passes for only seven yards.
6:58And again, you might say, Pete, what gives here?
7:01This is not someone that sounds very exciting to roster.
7:04But again, I need people to understand running back is a hard position to find utility at in the season.
7:11And Kamara has the chops to be a really good receiver, you know, even at his age right now.
7:17And for whatever reason, again, he's splitting time with Travis Eten, who it's very weird.
7:22What's what the vibe is right now with Travis Eten?
7:25I mean, you factor in that. You know, week one, you had Kendra Miller and Eten in a pretty, pretty straight 50 50 split.
7:33Actually, an exact 50 50 split on touches from a rushing standpoint.
7:37And then the next week you have a healthy scratch for Kendra Miller, which to me is just very odd.
7:44You know, healthy scratch for Kendra Miller in week two.
7:47And I get it. You're going to say, well, Kamara was healthy and I get that.
7:52But this guy, you think so little of him in Kendra Miller that you're willing to healthy scratch him as soon as Kamara comes back.
8:00But the guy that you just paid a ton of money is going to split reps 50 50 with this guy.
8:07It's just very strange to me. So I'm not totally sure what the heck is going on with New Orleans in terms of the running back splits.
8:16And I can't confidently sit here and say that that's going to change or fix itself.
8:21It could be like this. And who knows? I mean, ETN, it's it's it's two weeks in the system.
8:28So things could change. But running back, especially a veteran running back like this, it shouldn't take much time to get used to the system.
8:36But Alvin Kamara, Las Vegas Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, Minnesota Vikings are the next three weeks.
8:41Raiders defenses look pretty formidable the last two weeks to start the year.
8:45So that might not be the biggest pushover of a defense that people had expected.
8:50Atlanta Falcons, though, they've had some terrible, terrible injuries.
8:53So not a bad place to put him in your lineup there.
8:57And then the Minnesota Vikings have a tough run defense as well.
9:01Again, Kamara is a guy that like I think you're you're looking at as a waiver option.
9:06I mean, a flex option, not a hey, this is my RB to but good offense, like I said, with receiving ability.
9:14So I would put about two to five percent FAB on Kamara is what I would be willing to spend on him.
9:21Let's move over to another running back here out in Tennessee, and it's going to be Tajay Spears.
9:27Tajay Spears next three opponents, New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans.
9:31I would say two to three percent FAB. Again, these are enlisted as my priority.
9:36I would be comfortable maybe even taking a chance on Spears ahead of Kamara just because of the young legs.
9:42But it's not as good of an offense, which is why I have him ranked below Alvin Kamara in terms of priority.
9:49But Tajay Spears looked really, really good in week number two.
9:53He racked up 70 all-purpose yards and he had nine opportunities on the ground.
9:58The backfield is still pretty much owned by Tony Pollard, who played 52 percent of the snaps in week one.
10:04But there's no denying to me that Tajay Spears has been more effective as a runner and a receiver.
10:10You know, Spears ran seven routes, was targeted on two of them for 29 yards.
10:15And if the next, you know, offense can, you know, put the Titans in a passing script in the next couple of
10:23games, he could benefit as a receiver and be flex-worthy, you know, against Baltimore Giants and Houston coming up.
10:29But I would also note that, you know, it's possible there's a trade, right?
10:33I mean, Tony Pollard is up there in age.
10:36We've talked about the possibility of a Tony Pollard trade the last deadline.
10:41And it could come to fruition this time. I'm not wish-casting a trade, though if I did own Tajay Spears, it would be nice.
10:49And Nicholas Singleton, especially in Dynasty. But I just think Tony Pollard at his age, this team going nowhere, there is more
10:56of a chance that it does happen this year now that they did draft Nicholas Singleton if they want to see what the young guys have.
11:04You know, Spears did run one more route than Pollard.
11:08From a yards-per-carry perspective, Spears 5.9 yards per carry.
11:11But the split right now is still 14 rushes for Pollard, 7 rushing attempts for Spears.
11:16So the volume and the opportunity is still favoring the Pollard side.
11:20I don't know that that's going to change drastically.
11:23But, you know, if Spears continues to look effective and continues to play well on an offense that lacks weapons, they could
11:30lean to getting him more in the game and getting him more involved.
11:34So Tajay Spears is a guy that I would take a look at.
11:38I wouldn't say he's a poor man's Alvin Kamara in a way.
11:42Like maybe a younger Alvin Kamara is similar to Spears.
11:46You have that young scat back who can catch the football.
11:49Maybe he's not going to be a grinder in between the tackles.
11:53But still somebody that can be effective, again, as a receiver and as a running back.
11:59But obviously Kamara is on the wrong side of his age.
12:02Now, let's go ahead and look at the Packers running back room again.
12:06We talked about the Packers last week. And I wouldn't say it was the wrong read last week.
12:12It's kind of playing out a little bit how we talked about last week on this show.
12:18Caleb Johnson, though, needs to be discussed now. And I have him at 4% rostered across fantasy formats coming into this week.
12:25I also have him at 2-3 FAB spend. Next opponents are Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and the Chicago Bears.
12:31Caleb Johnson. Caleb Johnson's really like the most talented guy here.
12:35When you look at this past week, he had a complete 50-50 split with Marshawn Lloyd in terms of total snaps.
12:42Both played 14. But Chris Brooks, who we talked about and highlighted last week, still 22% of the snaps.
12:48Now, he had the lowest amount of rushing attempts four times for 11 yards.
12:52He did get one catch for 15 on two targets.
12:56And he ran 11 routes. So, Chris Brooks did own the receiving work of this group.
13:01If you add up Caleb Johnson and Marshawn Lloyd, total routes run.
13:05Caleb Johnson's... I mean, Chris Brooks still ran more routes than both of those guys.
13:10But Chris Brooks right now is a runner. It seems like it could be that he's going to be more of that receiving back.
13:18And they're going to try to figure out who is going to be there early down back between Marshawn Lloyd and Caleb Johnson.
13:25Now, Marshawn Lloyd did fumble in this game. And after he fumbled, he pretty much was out of the game entirely.
13:32And it really kind of pushed towards Caleb Johnson's way.
13:35Johnson ran the ball eight times for 32 yards, which is the most rushing attempts on the team.
13:41Four yards per carry, so a more efficient day.
13:44Marshawn Lloyd still an inefficient day. Six attempts, 20 yards, 3.3 yards per carry.
13:49That continues to trend from last week to this week.
13:52And the truth is here, Josh Jacobs still hasn't been suspended.
13:56He's on the commissioner and his exemplist. This team needs to figure out their rushing attack.
14:01There could be a trade coming on the way.
14:04Maybe Tony Pollard is a guy that's in consideration.
14:07I don't know. But the Green Bay Packers have to figure out this rushing game.
14:12They did trade for Caleb Johnson in the offseason.
14:15And he is a young player. He's talented. So Caleb Johnson has an opportunity potentially to become the guy.
14:21We shall see. Lloyd has really not shown or done much to say, hey, he deserves to be the guy.
14:28He did score a touchdown on one of those catches, though, which was at least good for him if you started him.
14:35But still only 8.6 fantasy points in week number two.
14:38So Caleb Johnson worth taking a swing on. Again, I know we talked about Chris Brooks last week.
14:44Now I'm telling you to pick up Caleb Johnson this week.
14:48It's really kind of Russian roulette. But what I will say is if you are a Marshawn Lloyd bag holder, I wouldn't
14:55feel like, hey, I can't go out and pick up a player that I really like this week on waivers because I
15:02have Marshawn Lloyd and I don't want to drop him.
15:05Like if you like a player and there's somebody out there that you want to pick up and Marshawn Lloyd is holding you back.
15:13Don't allow that to hold you back. Like be comfortable dropping Marshawn Lloyd if there's somebody out there that's really, really interesting to you.
15:21So just wanted to make sure people understood that because my confidence in Marshawn Lloyd is not very high.
15:27And unfortunately, people steamed him up to be a top 100 pick this year.
15:32I did not. I actually had him still ranked behind Josh Jacobs.
15:36So was not a big fan of the Marshawn Lloyd steam up.
15:40And unfortunately, it's looking to be a disaster of a pick so far, but it's only two weeks.
15:46So we shall see how things play out. Let's take a quick break and then we'll come back on the other side
15:53to wrap up the running backs and we'll move on to the next position.
15:58Hey, I know DFS may have peaked, but there are still hundreds of thousands of people to play and millions of dollars up for grabs every week.
16:07So let's put our hoodie on and let's talk about player profilers.
16:11DFS dominated. It has a cash game optimizer that leverages the projections from Bradley and Evan and that player profiler AI engine
16:18to create cash game lineups that certainly have a high floor, but also give you that ceiling.
16:23Now you've probably heard about the most powerful tool of all, our lineup genius.
16:28We know winning GPPs requires a completely different approach, which is why our lineup genius takes you through the process of selecting the quarterbacks in the juiciest matchups.
16:37Then it highlights the stacks and runbacks that are available.
16:40Let's you pick the chalk level. Let's you pick the level of correlation with a number of other proprietary settings available to you.
16:48Click a button and it generates hundreds of lineups to be imported into FanDuel and DraftKings.
16:53And it's just $45 a year. Not a week.
16:56A year. So for that reason alone, if you play DFS, you'd be an idiot not to buy the DFS Dominator.
17:03Y'all know I have a Jeff Janis signed rookie card, one of my prized possessions.
17:08And this year I'm taking card collecting more seriously.
17:11And that means targeting Parker Washington rookie cards. That's right.

18:32There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up required.
18:35Compatibility and availability varies 18+. All right, folks. We are back here on the Waiver Wire show.
18:41This is Pete Nova. Next guy we're going to talk about here is going to be Tank Bigsby.
18:47For the Philadelphia Eagles, Tank Bigsby is a guy that should be rostered.
18:51Again, a lot of these running back names that we talk about here today, you sit here and say they should be rostered.
18:59But Tank Bigsby is only 29% owned because, again, people draft these handcuffs high and expect them to be something.
19:05And then they're like, you know what? Injuries come.
19:08I don't really want to hold this player. I don't want to keep this player on my roster, on my bench.
19:15He's a clog. This, this, this, this, and that.
19:18And, and, and this is where people have to understand.
19:21That's why when I talked about Jonah Coleman, I try to explain to people like Jonah Coleman is very talented, but this
19:29could be a very, very, uh, this could be a very, very annoying split with the running back position here, uh, for the, uh, Denver Broncos.
19:37And so I have some concerns that people are going to go spend a ton of money on Jonah Coleman and they're going to be disappointed.
19:46And with Tank Bigsby, people, people are doing the same thing with these running, with these running backs, these handcuffs, right?
19:53Tank Bigsby, of course, doesn't have a big week one and people drop them.
19:57It's just, it just happens every year. And now we're coming back and saying, well, Saquon got dinged up this past week against the Titans.
20:05Do we go out and pick up Tank Bigsby?
20:08Now Tank Bigsby, 13 carries totaling 33 yards. Once Saquon went down, it was Will Shipley initially, uh, that, came in the
20:16game and it was kind of like, what's happening here?
20:19Is Will Shipley the guy to own? Is he the running back, uh, to own for this team?
20:25If Saquon goes down, uh, but it ended up kind of working itself out.
20:29Tank Bigsby still had 13 carries, 33 yards and an efficient day.
20:33Will Shipley did run most of the routes though.
20:3624 routes run. Uh, he caught two targets or five yards.
20:40Uh, it wasn't like a big day for either of these two running backs.
20:45Saquon, you know, Saquon only four rushing attempts, nine yards.
20:48Uh, he did not put on much of a performance.
20:51And of course the stinger, he tried to come back and it just didn't work out.
20:56Um, Tank Bigsby did though, uh, you know, score a rushing touchdown, uh, which was good to see 11.8 fantasy points.
21:03You were probably not starting Tank Bigsby again, cause you'd have no reason to, uh, but Tank Bigsby is the guy to own.
21:11I would say one to 2% FAB. His next opponents are Chicago Rams and Jacksonville.
21:16I do think Saquon Barkley is going to be, uh, back.
21:19I don't think Saquon Barkley is going to miss any time.
21:23So I'm not overly concerned about Saquon Barkley. Uh, but still, uh, Tank Bigsby should be somebody that is owned, especially in teams.
21:31Like if I have a decent bench sizes in leagues, um, I don't mind picking up a guy like Tank Bigsby, especially
21:38if like, I have good running backs ahead of him because I'm not relying on Tank Bigsby.
21:43I don't have to pick him up, uh, and potentially play him.
21:47He can sit on the roster if I'm in leagues with like seven bench sizes.
21:52Right. And I like leagues that have decent bench, bench sizes.
21:56Um, I don't really like very shallow leagues because I do feel like it, it, it placates to people that maybe, uh,
22:03you know, are not the, uh, or, or, or not the sharpest in the league.
22:08And so, because they have bad benches, uh, you know, like I just like being able to, to be, be received the
22:15benefit for, for looking ahead, uh, and rostering players.
22:18So, uh, let's go ahead and move over to the quarterback position quarterback.
22:22Tyler Shuck again, has to be the guy that we are looking at, at the quarterback position this week as the number
22:30one player to roster 48% roster still. So he's still under 50% owned.
22:34Uh, I would say 5% FAB is, uh, what I would be comfortable with.
22:39If you have quarterback injuries, like if you're out here with Jaden Daniels and you don't really have a backup and it's
22:46a deep league, I would definitely be comfortable spending more than 5% on Tyler Shuck.
22:51It's a really, really good schedule. He gets the Raiders.
22:54He gets Atlanta. He's getting, gets Minnesota the next three weeks.
22:58Uh, but Tyler Shuck has had back-to-back weeks of 22 or more fantasy points.
23:02Uh, and he, and this offense has, has been good, right?
23:06I mean, this is what we were hoping for with this offense.
23:10You know, obviously week one against the lions, it was kind of tough sledding to start the game.
23:16Uh, but in the second half, you know, they turned it up and Tyler Shuck looked good.
23:21Uh, 252 yards for Tyler Shuck right now. Uh, Tyler Shuck is, I mean, he's up there at the top of the league for passing yards right now.
23:30So, uh, you know, I, I, Tyler Shuck, I think the schedule is good.
23:35Like we've talked about, Oh, I don't think I know the schedule is good.
23:40And Tyler Shuck, I'm just verifying here, uh, his passing yards, 662.
23:44So he leads the league in passing yards right now.
23:47Um, is Tyler Shuck going to stay there and finish as the league leader in passing yards?
23:52I don't necessarily know, but if you are somebody who owns Baker Mayfield, if you're somebody who owns Justin Herbert and you're
24:00concerned, um, I would go pick up Tyler Shuck, uh, for sure with Baker.
24:04I would prefer Tyler Shuck rest of season at this point, then Baker Mayfield with Justin Herbert.
24:10I'd still prefer Herbert rest of season just because of that upside and the possibility that things could get better.
24:16Um, but I wouldn't drop, like, I would want to roster him as a QB two because Herbert's schedule is still really,
24:24really bad, uh, the next couple of weeks. And, uh, Shucks again, has good, got a good schedule the next couple of
24:31weeks and for the rest of the season. So, um, that would be for some consideration there.
24:37Uh, Bryce young is the next player to talk about here.
24:40And Bryce young has a good schedule as well.
24:43Cleveland Detroit, and then a buy, uh, Detroit's defense is not what Detroit's defense was of the past of the old Trevor Lawrence really carved them up.
24:52Now, Bryce young is a player that I got to give props to.
24:56Um, I was not really the biggest believer in Bryce young.
25:00Um, I never really have been, uh, but Bryce young has looked really good the past two weeks.
25:06He's number two in the NFL for passing yards.
25:09He's got six touchdowns as well. 55.5 fantasy points.
25:12If I told you that today heading into week number three, Bryce young is the number two quarterback in fantasy football.
25:19You might think I'm absolutely nuts, but that is the case.
25:22Bryce young is playing very good football. Um, he gets to Detroit lions.
25:26Not, not this week, the week after Detroit Detroit's defense is absolutely terrible right now.
25:31They are missing a lot of guys, Kirby Joseph.
25:34Uh, they're missing branch as well. So the two starting safeties, uh, but that defense just looks really, really bad, um, with those guys out.
25:43And so he's got a really good matchup, not this week, but the week after, um, I would say three to 5% FAB.
25:50I still prefer shock over him. I just think at the end of the day, I don't know how much he can
25:57keep this up when it comes to Bryce young.
26:00And they've haven't had the best matchups or toughest matchups here.
26:04I mean, we gotta be honest. The Chicago bears defense is really, really bad.
26:09And then the Atlanta Falcons defense is really bad.
26:11They lost a lot of guys before the season even started.
26:15And they really just weren't able to bring in enough talent to, to kind of alleviate, uh, you know, that inefficiencies that,
26:22that, that, that, that defense has now. Um, so keep all of that in mind.
26:27Uh, but Bryce young still should be somebody on your radar.
26:31Uh, you know, it's, uh, it's, it's some good matchups for him and I don't know if he's going to be a thing.
26:38I know the chat's asking is Bryce young going to be a thing.
26:43It's hard for me. I don't want to judge too critically because I have not really been a big believer of Bryce
26:50young, but I do like to give credit where it's due.
26:54It's only a two week sample size and he did look good to end the year.
26:59He looked good in the playoffs last year. Uh, so, you know, he's kind of carried that over into this year.
27:06It's impressive. It's been against some pretty weak talent.
27:09We'll see if it continues, but overall, you know, you still have to play the game and Bryce young is playing at
27:16a very high level right now, even if it's against poor defenses, he looks really, really good.
27:21Um, let's move over to the next quarterback here and it's going to be Gino Smith, uh, Gino Smith, uh, 5% roster across fantasy formats right now.
27:30He's got a schedule that includes Detroit, Chicago, and Cleveland.
27:34Uh, I mean, if you're sitting here telling me who would I want to own more the next two weeks, Gino or
27:41Bryce young, it probably is Gino Smith. Uh, I mean, Gino is not sexy.
27:45He's not like a young spring chicken, but these are some good matchups here, Detroit and Chicago.
27:51Uh, the offense looks really, really solid, uh, through two weeks this year.
27:55Uh, he's run, ran the ball 11 times, which is actually tied with Lamar Jackson for ninth in football and he's only
28:03gotten, uh, you know, 24 yards on those runs.
28:05Uh, but Hey, he is at least moving around.
28:08They've got some decent weapons to 80 Mitchell has looked pretty good.
28:12Uh, obviously they have Chris a lot. I mean, not Chris a lot, but they have Garrett Wilson.
28:18Uh, he's a fringe top 15 quarterback during these weeks here, here with Detroit, Chicago and Cleveland.
28:24And it's just worth monitoring. Uh, especially if you really do have injuries and you're not looking for, you're looking for a
28:31good floor, maybe not the highest ceiling, but a good floor quarterback because again, Detroit and Chicago, uh, look like they might
28:38be bottom five past defenses in the NFL this year, at least to start the year.
28:44Um, so Gino Smith is somebody that should be considered here.
28:47Uh, we have a couple of questions from the chat, so I will grab some of them really quick before we move on to the next position.
28:56Uh, said I'm about to drop Kalon black for Mac Jones.
29:00Cause if pretty goes down, still have the best backup in the league, but see, this is, this is the thing, right?
29:07Kalon black has a week that's not exciting and now we're ready to drop him.
29:12And this is why people I'm cautioning people with the Jonah Coleman stuff, right?
29:16I totally understand going and swinging for him. And I'm not saying you shouldn't, right?
29:21I said 10 to 20% FAB on him, even a little bit more in deep leagues, but you, if you're not going
29:29to be patient with some of these guys and you're going to be willing, like if you picked on, picked up Kalon
29:36black, there's potential that you used first waiver priority for him last week, or you dropped a decent amount of FAB to go get him.
29:44So that's why I try to caution people when they are going and picking up some of these waiver guys, especially if
29:51they're not the clear cut starter, uh, which in this situation, Jonah Coleman is not the clear cut starter, right?
29:58I mean, RJ Harvey will be back this week.
30:01I don't know about JK Dobbins. They say the injury is not too, too, too concerning, but just keep all that in mind.
30:08Uh, this is, is an exact example of why I try to provide some, some caution there, uh, and some context, uh,
30:16is Bryce young going to be a thing? We kind of talked about that.
30:20Um, you know, he's playing really, really good football.
30:23Uh, would you drop Shaw for Bryce young and redraft?
30:26I wouldn't, uh, I prefer Shaw's schedule rest of season.
30:30I prefer his surroundings. They did lose banks, uh, one of their tackles.
30:34So that's a little concerning, but that's the one thing too, with young, their tackles are their, their offensive lines really beat up.
30:42And again, they've played really bad defenses. So I'm curious to see once they step up in competition, uh, what that pass
30:49protection looks like, what the offensive line looks like.
30:52Um, Scott said, I have Dak and Shaw. Do I add, uh, young and drop, uh, a guy like Corlin Sutton?
30:59Unless this is a super flex, I wouldn't consider this again, prefer Shaw over young.
31:04Uh, and, and Scott also said, do you see yourself starting Gino Smith in deep leagues?
31:09I do, especially against Detroit and Chicago. Um, I would, I would absolutely, uh, say it's, it's, it's, it's, it's definitely something to consider.
31:17Uh, you know, if, if that's, if you're a guy that's starting like Jaden Daniels or, or some of these quarterbacks that
31:24are already injured, uh, Gino's should be someone that I would consider.
31:28Um, let's move over to the wide receiver position.
31:31Um, wide receiver positions got some really interesting names this year.
31:34Uh, I mean, sorry, this week, uh, first name that we're going to talk about is going to be Denzel Boston of the Cleveland Browns.
31:43Uh, he gets Carolina, Pittsburgh, New York jets in the next three matchups here.
31:47And he's 31% rostered across fantasy formats, uh, percentage of fab that I would spend on Denzel Boston is five to 7%.
31:54You know, looking at some of the underlying metrics and numbers here, Boston, 92.7% of the snaps this week.
32:01That next closest player was Casey conception with 65.5%.
32:04Uh, Boston, you know, had a really, really impressive week.
32:07And I, I'm, I'm, I'm liking what I'm seeing.
32:10I like the utilization. I was a little bit concerned last week when, you know, his average yards per target was 29 yards.
32:17Uh, this week it was nine. So like, they're not just using him as a fly route or go route player.
32:24Um, he had 20.5 fantasy points this week, uh, caught five passes on seven targets for 95 yards and a touchdown.
32:31He had a 23% target rate. And he actually should have had a second touchdown.
32:36He, he had a nice play in the back of the end zone that he dropped.
32:41And if you're telling me right now, what I prefer Casey conception or Denzel Boston right now, I would say through two
32:49weeks, I do prefer Denzel Boston reason being is I, I think Boston's just going to get the higher value touches, meaning
32:56those, those chances in the end zone he's going to get.
33:00And we're seeing enough of a volume share, uh, to where that floor is high enough.
33:05Again, not going to be a go route guy where, you know, he's only catching four out four passes a game and
33:12it's on four targets and they're all deep balls.
33:15Right. I think that was some of the concern that people had, but he's working in the intermediate enough to, to feel
33:22comfortable that he's got a decent floor, uh, on a week in week out basis.
33:27So, uh, Denzel Boston is somebody I would consider again, five to 7% FAA B.
33:32Uh, I'm talking about him again this week because we talked about him a little bit last week.
33:38He wasn't the number one priority, but this is also a guy that's still only 31% rostered.
33:44So with all these injuries, if you're a guy that has a flowers, if you're a guy that has AJ Brown and,
33:51and, you know, maybe the guys that you picked up didn't work out, uh, in, you know, uh, in the absence of,
33:58uh, those players, then Boston is somebody that you should maybe consider picking up, uh, in, in your league.
34:04Trey Tucker, next player for the Las Vegas Raiders, 29% rostered.
34:08Uh, next opponents for him is the saints Kansas city chiefs and the new England Patriots.
34:13I'd say 46% FAA B on Trey Tucker. I have Boston ahead of him in priority.
34:18Uh, Tucker has solidified himself as the wide receiver one for the Raiders.
34:23And, uh, that's not really a very high part of clear.
34:26Uh, but he ran 49 routes, which was the most on the team.
34:31The highest, uh, second highest was Jalen Naylor. Uh, but he had a great day though.
34:36I mean, he had 11 targets, he caught, um, you know, a ton of passes this week against the chargers and he had 146 yards with a touchdown.
34:45Um, so Trey Tucker should be on the radar.
34:48Um, I I'm looking back here. Just want to double check.
34:52Sorry. He had seven targets, five catches, 119 yards and a touchdown.
34:55So the volume was there. Utilization was there. Um, and he actually ran 35 rounds.
35:00I misspoke there. So I, I do apologize. Uh, I looked at the numbers wrong, but he still looks like the number one wide receiver for this team.
35:10Brock Bowers may be coming back this week. So it's something to look at.
35:14Um, but either way, this Raiders offense looks way more competent than people were expecting.
35:19Even myself were expecting. Uh, so pretty impressed with Trey Tucker and what he's been able to do, um, so far and,
35:26uh, or at least this past week and the matchups again, it's got the saints, he's got Kansas city's got the Patriots.
35:34Those are offenses that should be able to put up points, which means that he'll be in game scripts that should be favorable, uh, for him.
35:42Uh, so yeah, Trey Tucker, keep him in mind.
35:45Somebody that I would consider the next guy that we're going to talk about is going to be Adonai Mitchell.
35:52Um, Adonai Mitchell, uh, was somebody that Bradley made fun of me in the player profiler draft because he said it was
35:59the worst pick, uh, of the draft for the player profiler draft.
36:03And, um, I couldn't have disagreed more and it's turning out to look pretty favorable in my direction that that was, uh, an inaccurate statement.
36:11Uh, 80 Mitchell, 16% rostered across fantasy formats. He gets Detroit, Chicago and Cleveland.
36:16I'd say three to 5% FAAB for Adonai Mitchell.
36:19Uh, but he has more targets right now than Garrett Wilson this season.
36:23And if you told me that coming into the year, um, I wouldn't have believed you.
36:28Uh, but it's true, right? 12 targets this past week.
36:31He had six catches for 63 yards, um, 12.3 fantasy points.
36:35Uh, Garrett Wilson is still the guy. I'm not going to sit here and tell you he's not.
36:41And he only has one more target than Garrett Wilson.
36:44So I don't want to overstate that, but still 80 Mitchell looked good to end the year.
36:50Last year when he joined the jets has looked good to start this year with the jets and Omar Cooper is going to miss some time.
36:58Uh, they do have Isaiah Williams who has been on the field and has generated some targets as well, but I'm not
37:06overly concerned here, uh, for AD Mitchell. Uh, he ran 59, uh, we're sorry.
37:10He had 59 snaps this past week and ran 38 routes.
37:14Um, an impressive outing for AD Mitchell, somebody who's, who's giving you flex worthy play week in week out right now.
37:21So, uh, somebody to consider again, three to 5% FAB would be what I would spend on AD Mitchell.
37:27Um, and this is a jets offense that look, they, they've got some good matchups coming up.
37:33So, uh, I mean, we talked about the lions and we talked about Chicago.
37:37I mean, getting both of those defenses the next two weeks makes wicks definitely somebody who can, should be on your radar
37:44and has like fringe high end wide receiver three upside, uh, you know, and somebody with these injuries that, that should be
37:52considered, uh, in my opinion, the next guy we're going to talk about is on Tavian wicks.
37:57Don Tavian wicks is somebody that we talked about last week.
38:01I'm talking about him again this week, uh, 28% rostered next opponents are Chicago, Los Angeles Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
38:08Uh, you know, somebody I would be willing to spend three to 4% FAB a little bit less than AD Mitchell, uh,
38:15just because I, I don't know how pass heavy this offense is going to be compared to the jets.
38:21I think there'll be a little bit more pass heavy when it's all said and done.
38:26Uh, but still Chicago, Los Angeles Rams, Jacksonville, Jacksonville is a secondary really, really not that good.
38:32Uh, Rams have a good secondary, but Chicago does not.
38:35So he's got two out of three of the next matchups are favorable.
38:40Dallas Goddard did go down with a knee injury, um, and he's going to miss some time.
38:45So that really opens up a runway for wicks to continue to be effective.
38:50And wicks had six targets caught five of them, uh, for 74 yards against the Titans.
38:55Uh, he's been a player that I mean, for the Eagles, the, the, the, the drum beat in the off season has been very, very positive for him.
39:04Um, Makai lemon is still trying to find his way in the league.
39:08It's early for him. So I'm not going to sit there and tell you that my guy lemon is toast.
39:15Uh, but wicks looks like the number two in this offense.
39:19Makai lemon did run more routes than wicks this past week, but wicks has just been more effective lemon, just one target, one catch 14 yards.
39:27And I just don't really like the role that lemons being used in right now.
39:32So far where again, you look at. Not even wakes, I mean, 27 routes, he was targeted on six of them.
39:39So he's got a really good target, uh, share.
39:42And, uh, I mean, he's playing 62% of the snaps snaps.
39:46That's enough in a good offense. And they are an offense that lacks some weapons right now.
39:51So, uh, they're going to need some guys to step up and wicks has stepped up the first two weeks of the season.
39:59Uh, so he's somebody that I would consider last wide receiver here that we're going to talk about.
40:05It's going to be Khalil Shakir. Uh, Khalil Shakir gets the Los Angeles charters, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams the next three weeks.
40:13Just he's 47% rostered. Actually, Khalil Shakir is the most rostered player that we're talking about here at the wide receiver position.
40:20Um, and he's the lowest priority guy that we're talking about today.
40:24Um, it's crazy to think that not too long ago, Khalil Shakir and Josh Allen, uh, had the best connection of football
40:31when you talk about catchable target rate and targets caught.
40:34Um, but I don't think DJ Moore's absence is going to be very long.
40:39So that's why Khalil Shakir is not somebody that's higher on my list.
40:43He's really just what he is. Khalil Shakir is going to be a solid flex play.
40:48He's going to give you 10 to 12 points, you know, here and there.
40:53And, and he's in a good offense. Uh, but honestly, with the emergence of Dalton Kincaid with James cook, with DJ Moore
41:00coming back at some point soon, uh, he's really like at best fourth option for touchdowns, uh, which means you need a lot of volume.
41:08And he, and I just don't think that's going to happen.
41:12I don't think we're going to get enough volume to make Khalil Shakir, uh, important enough.
41:17But if you're looking for a safer option, if DJ Moore does miss this week, um, then Khalil Shakir should be somebody
41:25that is considered and is on your radar. Um, but, uh, before we continue on to the tight ends and then the
41:32honorable mentions, I want to take a quick break.
41:35We'll come right back. I'll see you on the other side.
41:38You know, I get asked is AI ruining fantasy sports.

43:41Compatibility and availability varies 18+. All righty, folks. We are back here.
43:44We're going to talk about the tight end position here on Player Profiler as the next waiver wire target for you.
43:51If you guys are liking the show, if you guys have questions, feel free to hit that thumbs up.
43:58Make sure you subscribe and send any comments in the chat.
44:01I'd be happy to answer them before we get out of here.
44:05It doesn't have to be waiver wire related. If it's not, we'll get to them towards the end of the show.
44:12But if it is waiver wire related, I will happily answer that as well.
44:17Let's talk about the next tight end here. Or the first tight end here.
44:21It's going to be Arande Gadsden. This feels like low-hanging fruit here.
44:25I mean, it seems pretty obvious of a call out here with Arande Gadsden.
44:30But he is the highest priority pickup for me at the tight end position.
44:34Just 6% rostered across fantasy formats. I mean, the sentiment around Arande Gadsden, pretty, pretty poor coming into the year.
44:41And rightfully so. I mean, it wasn't good to start the season even for the first two weeks.
44:47And it was kind of playing out how many people had expected, right?
44:51David Njoku looked like the guy. Njoku had three targets, one catch, nine yards before the injury.
44:57And he obviously dropped that big catch that led to a Justin Herbert interception.
45:01But Arande Gadsden has a clear runway here to be the guy, right?
45:06I mean, Charlie Kolar is injured as well. He's going to miss time.
45:10Now you have David Njoku who's going to miss time.
45:13It's really Arande Gadsden is the starter now. And, you know, this is a talented player, right?
45:19I mean, I don't know how else to slice it.
45:22He looked really good as a receiver last year.
45:25He obviously has his inefficiencies as a blocker, which is why I think he has been second fiddle behind David Njoku and
45:32Kolar in terms of total snaps flayed and coming into the year.
45:36But Arande Gadsden should be somebody that is owned and targeted, especially if you have Dallas Goddard and you lost him due
45:43to injury or if maybe the tight end position hasn't worked out for you.
45:48Maybe you are a Brock Bowers owner or maybe you are a Colson Loveland owner and you're a little bit skittish on how things have went.
45:57Gadsden should be rostered. But this Chargers offense has looked really, really bad.
46:01Maybe they get on track at some point. But they lack weapons right now that, you know, are healthy.
46:07And he could absolutely be the number two option in terms of volume right now.
46:12Lamaconke dealing with the ribs. Quinton Johnson having a rough game last week.
46:16And Omar and Hampton's not really the receiver out of the backfield that we thought he could be.
46:22Even Keaton Mitchell's not really catching much. I mean, the offense is an absolute mess.
46:27We know that it doesn't take a genius to say that.
46:31So Gadsden should be somebody that you should consider.
46:34He gets Buffalo, Seattle, and Denver, though. I mean, not the easiest matchups coming up here.
46:39Buffalo's got some decent coverage linebackers. Seattle as well.
46:42Denver's matchup is probably the best matchup on the board here.
46:45They do not have the best coverage linebackers. It's like Alex Singleton and Justin Schnadd.
46:50So, you know, Gadsden could have a good look there.
46:54But this is a long-term option. This isn't a short-term play.
46:57So keep that in mind when you're considering a Rondé Gadsden.
47:01Is that this is a guy that can find himself in that role to be the guy, the number two option.
47:08And it's not just a, hey, pick up and start this week because of what he's got going on.
47:14And we've talked about a couple of guys, you know, that are going to be, hey, target this guy for this week.
47:21We talked about Geno Smith, right? His matchup's coming up, right?
47:25So there are guys that are more short-term plays.
47:28Gadsden's not one of them. Next play we're going to talk about, though, is Pat Friermuth.
47:3313% rostered across fantasy formats. His next opponents are Cincinnati, Cleveland, and the Indianapolis Colts.
47:38This Steelers offense has looked pretty bad. DK Metcalf has looked very ineffective, right?
47:43I mean, he's dropping passes. He just hasn't been reliable.
47:46Friermuth, Darnell Washington, Robert Tanyan. And that's the tight end room here for the Steelers.
47:51And Friermuth, you know, ran 27 routes last week.
47:54He's running routes out of the slot. He had five targets, four catches, 32 yards.
47:59Again, not a beastly day. But he gets Cincinnati on deck here, who was notorious last year.
48:04Heck, Cincinnati was historically a poor defense against the tight end position last season.
48:09They just got torched by Dalton Schultz this past week.
48:12So that's a good matchup for him. He gets Cleveland and the Colts.
48:17Colts have looked bad against tight ends this year as well.
48:20They just got torched by Kelsey. Cleveland, I have to dig into the numbers there.
48:25I don't know how poor they are. They have Carson Swessinger, who's a good linebacker.
48:30He can cover. So I don't know that that'll be the best matchup.
48:34But overall, Friermuth, somebody that I'd be willing to spend 3% to 4% FAB on right now.
48:40And somebody that can be definitely the number two option.
48:43When we look at the tight end position, I've said it before and I'll say it again.
48:49I look at two things. Can you be the number two option on your offense?
48:54And if not, are you on an offense that's really good?
48:57And it's going to score points to make up for the fact that you're not going to be that number two option.
49:04That's just what it is. If you're not on a really good offense and you're not the number two option, then odds
49:12are you're going to be very, very spotty on a week-in, week-out basis.
49:16Friermuth can absolutely be the number two target. This isn't a good offense, but he can be the number two target.
49:23This is an offense that gets the ball out very quickly.
49:26And so that typically favors the tight end position on those short intermediate stuff.
49:31So Friermuth should be somebody that is looked at.
49:34The next guy that we're going to talk about is a darling this offseason, and it's Terrence Ferguson.
49:40Terrence Ferguson had a very good night this past week.
49:43I'd actually say, you know, while we're going through this year, Terrence Ferguson should be ahead of Pat Friermuth in priority.
49:50So I'll say that right off the bat. And Terrence Ferguson should be ahead of priority ahead of Ironde Gadsden.
49:57It's a good offense. Ferguson has a chance to be the number two target in this offense if Puka misses more than
50:04just this week, which is absolutely possible. Ferguson, 18% rostered.
50:07His next opponents are the Giants, then the Broncos, then the Eagles.
50:11Obviously, the Giants were played last night. I'm looking at my sheet from yesterday.
50:16I have to take a look here and just see who he's got coming up in the week after Philly.
50:22But Denver, again, poor against the tight end position.
50:25This was a good night for him, Terrence Ferguson.
50:28And everybody kind of laughed and made jokes about, you know, Ferguson.
50:32And, you know, because he was a darling, you know, coming in.
50:36And, you know, I guess, you know, a little bit of both.
50:40The people that are touting and the people that are fading both had laughs, right?
50:45Week one, Ferguson did absolutely nothing, you know, but he ran a ton of routes.
50:50And so sometimes it's understanding that it's not always result.
50:53It's about the process. And you're not always going to get the result.
50:57But if you stick to a process, you'll typically come out ahead more times than not than when you're looking at result-based stuff.
51:05But in week two, Terrence Ferguson had a great week, right?
51:0917 fantasy points. He had nine targets, six catches, 54 yards, and a touchdown.
51:13Ran 23 routes. I mean, that is almost a 50% target share for Terrence Ferguson.
51:18And if you look at what he did last in week one, it was obviously a big flip.
51:24But he did run 12 routes in week one.
51:27He had a really nice route share. He was the number two tight end when it came to routes run in week one.
51:35And then obviously with Puka, he showed that he can be that number two option if Puka's out.
51:41And with Terrence Ferguson, this is a good offense that likes to feature the tight end position.
51:46The problem with the Los Angeles Rams has typically been they like the tight end position, but they have so many tight
51:53ends that the ball is just scattered around. And it's not funneled into one guy.
51:58It's not consolidated enough. But we could be seeing some consolidation here.
52:02Terrence Ferguson played more snaps than Colby Parkinson in week two.
52:06Colby Parkinson only ran 10 routes. Terrence Ferguson ran 25.
52:09Now, I'm sorry. Snaps-wise, Parkinson played more, but it was on the running downs, right?
52:14Parkinson played 42 snaps to Ferguson's 35. But he only ran 10 routes.
52:18And because I think a lot of that has to do with Parkinson's a better blocker, he probably stayed in more on
52:26the passing downs as an additional blocker. Especially against a good defensive line with the New York Giants.
52:31So Terrence Ferguson should be somebody that you should be targeting here.
52:35In terms of total FAB, I'd be willing to spend 3% to 5% FAB on Terrence Ferguson.
52:41A good tight end and a good offense that even if Puka Nakua comes back, if he can continue a solid role,
52:48it's more than enough to say, hey, that's a good spec ad to take a chance on.
52:54Taking a look here, we did have some questions here.
52:57Debbie said, hey, Pete, is Mayer droppable or a hold?
53:00I would say Michael Mayer is getting close to droppable, right?
53:04I mean, he ran 24 routes last week, 4 targets, 3 catches, 23 yards.
53:09I'd say Michael Mayer is a drop right now.
53:12You have Brock Bowers probably coming back. So, you know, there's going to be more opportunities that are going away from him.
53:19And, you know, two weeks-wise, it wasn't the best outings for Mayer.
53:23We did talk about him in week one. I did think that he was a good ad, again, if you didn't have
53:30him for week two, if you had injuries. Week two wasn't great, and the drumbeat for Bowers, it seems like he could even come back this week.
53:39If not, it could be the next week. But I probably would say that Mayer is definitely droppable for some of these guys that we're talking about today.
53:48Sam said Stephon Diggs and Saquon Barkley for CMC.
53:51If you have CMC, I would absolutely—if you're getting CMC here, I would absolutely trade Saquon and Diggs for CMC.
53:58That's pretty easy for me, especially if you have the depth.
54:01Do you want to talk about some honorable mentions here?
54:04Honorable mention are players that I would be willing to add in deeper leagues with 0% to 2% FAAB.
54:11Just starting off quickly with the quarterback position, Marcus Mariota.
54:14Solid weapons. Jayden Daniels is going to possibly miss four weeks.
54:18And just because of the fact that it's good weapons, we've seen Mariota step in and be solid.
54:23He also runs. We do know that, too. I'm not super excited to roster Marcus Mariota, but in deeper leagues, you could do worse, I guess.
54:32Especially if Daniels misses some time, which he's—I mean, he's going to miss some time.
54:37Emmanuel Wilson would be higher on my list. I mean, he had 20-plus rushing attempts this past week.
54:43But it seems like Jardarian Price is going to be fine.
54:46And I just don't know that he's going to have standalone value without the injury.
54:51But he is a decent enough cuff. The problem is George Helani is still there to cap some upside as a receiving back.
54:59And he would be involved even if Price were to go down.
55:03Mike Washington Jr., another guy. Ashton Gentry did get banged up in this game, but he did return, right?
55:09And so now we've seen Gentry get banged up in, you know, the training camp.
55:14And we saw him get banged up in a game where he was looked at by the trainers, but he did return with the Raiders offense looking confident.
55:23Washington is a great handcuff should Gentry go down.
55:26DeMond Claiborne running back for the Minnesota Vikings. Aaron Jones was dinged up after a monster hit that he took this week.
55:33Claiborne had a glimmer of hope to be thrusted into a bigger role.
55:38But, you know, Aaron Jones did return. And he's still the number two back, though.
55:43Jordan Mason is on IR. He's going to miss at least three more weeks now.
55:48So DeMond Claiborne is absolutely somebody that should be looked at.
55:51You know, he's not going to be a standalone value kind of guy, in my opinion, unless Jones goes down.
55:58But Jones is older and has issues staying healthy.
56:01So somebody to consider. Jeremy Bernard, wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
56:05Another rookie here with Pittman down due to the injury to, you know, the young rookie to me has a chance to step up into a bigger role.
56:14He had four, you know, he had four targets in Pittman's absence.
56:18And to me is the best fit for this role in the Steelers offense to, you know, to step in to, you
56:25know, Pittman's Pittman's target share and to his usage.
56:28So Jeremy Bernard looked good. I want to take chances on younger players, younger players that were talented in college.
56:35Bernard was one of them. And when they show you early on that they're good, it's usually a good sign to take.
56:42Right. There's going to be dusty veterans like Keenan Allen who are going to be out there.
56:47Keenan Allen's the next guy we're going to talk about.
56:51He almost made the list because Alec Pierce is gone.
56:54Allen, though, he did really look his age this past week, but there's really not much in this cold passing game outside of Downs and Warren.
57:03But I do expect their target share to increase.
57:05But Allen's going to be involved. Right. So if Alec can shake off the rust a little bit, he could definitely be
57:13a viable player for fantasy, especially a flex guy.
57:16But just keeping all that in mind, he did really not look that great.
57:20So I'm not looking to spend much money on him.
57:24So Rashad Bateman had a monster week this past week.
57:27He's not really on my list for guys I want to spend a ton of money on or willing to spend more than 2% FAB on.
57:35I'm really just expecting Flowers to come back soon, which would relegate Bateman to the third option in the pecking order and an offense that to me.
57:44You just I don't want the number two wide receiver in the Ravens offense.
57:49It's just not an exciting role and not one that that I'm excited to roster.
57:54So especially if Flowers comes back. But if Flowers doesn't come back and you can get Bateman for pretty much free again,
58:01as you zero to 2% bid, I would go ahead and say he's worth adding.
58:06Malik Washington. He did have less targets this week than he did in week one, but he still saw five of them.
58:13Caleb Douglas did go down in this one. He will miss some time probably and would thrust Washington into potentially a flex for the option.
58:21Unfortunately, the schedule is not that appealing, though, for Washington coming up.
58:25Douglas did leave in a boot, but it could just be precautionary.
58:29For the tight end position, TJ Hawkinson and Darren Waller are the next guys on this list.
58:35Waller has been a magnet for the end zone to start the year.
58:39He did have a touchdown in week one that got called back.
58:43He just scored two touchdowns this past week. This Panthers offense could end up being solid.
58:48They have been solid. They could end up maybe sustaining being a decent offense.
58:53And, you know, right now, Darren Waller, again, we're talking about it.
58:57It's funny. I don't want to contradict myself because Waller at best is probably the third option in the passing game.
59:04Chubba Hubbard might actually be ahead of him in the pecking order in the passing game.
59:09But the tight ends are there, right? So he can score touchdowns.
59:13It's not the stickiest stat, and I don't like to hang on to touchdowns typically when projecting guys.
59:19But he has found a knack for the end zone.
59:22We did see him go on a heater last year before getting injured.
59:26So, you know, he's probably not here for a long time, but he's here for a good time in Darren Waller.
59:33So an interesting spec ad, you know, maybe to keep on your bench after this next week just to see if he continues the success.
59:42And if he does, maybe consider starting him in your lineup if you've got some injuries.
59:47TJ Hawkinson has looked better this year than what we saw last year.
59:51Obviously, he had that injury that he was coming off last year.
59:55And so it's nice to see him kind of shaking off the rust.
59:59Though we don't know what he's going to look like with Kyler Murray.
60:04You know, that's a big question mark so far for me.
60:07Kyler hasn't really played. He obviously played that, like, one drive, which really wasn't many plays before he got injured in week one.
60:15And then it was Carson Wentz. So, you know, there are better upside plays in the tight end position, in my opinion, than TJ Hawkinson.
60:23But if you're feeling it, feeling frisky, go for it.
60:26The zero bid flyers. Three guys on this list here.
60:30Guys that I'd be willing to just, you know, pick up and not spend any money on.
60:35Keon Coleman's one of them. He looked good and comfortable in, you know, somebody in a new role that fits him a little bit better.
60:43If Moore misses some time, there is an opportunity for him to step up.
60:48I'm not a big Keon Coleman fan, but he looked okay last week and was somebody that Allen looked his way, especially when DJ Moore went down.
60:57Chris Bell is a pretty interesting upside play if Caleb Douglas misses some time.
61:01Because I think he's got a higher ceiling than Malik Washington, but he's got a lower floor.
61:07He's a very talented player and somebody that's definitely worth adding and stashing on a bench right now.
61:13And then Malik Willis. Schedule is really, really brutal.
61:16He's been decent for fantasy, though, so far with a decent floor.
61:20He's given you like 15, 16 points. But the matchup is not really very good, so he's not somebody I want to have to start.
61:28But I'm just going to throw him out there just in case.
61:32He is a guy that even in bad matchups just plays well because he runs and, you know, gives you that higher floor.
61:39But he hasn't really been running that much. He's not even in the top 10 so far in the first two weeks of the year on passing attempts.
61:49Jonathan Santiago, what's up, man? Said drop Quentin Johnson for Denzel Boston or Rashad Bateman.
61:54I would consider dropping Johnson for Boston. I would actually say yes.
61:58I would drop Johnson for Boston. Reason being here is that while Johnson's probably in the better offense, even though it's been
62:05bad for the Chargers, Boston has a chance to be the number one target in his offense.
62:10I don't think Johnson does. And Boston's younger and a talented player as well.
62:15I think Boston had a chance to go first round this past year.
62:19It would not have surprised me. And so I think he was a first round talent that fell into the early second round.
62:27He looks really, really good. And early players that pop to start the year is usually a good sign for their fantasy success going forward.
62:35I have one more question here. Said for Superflex Leagues, Badgett, Mariota, or Jameis Winston?
62:40I'd probably say Mariota. I know that's not the popular one because Badgett's got more weapons.
62:45I think if you're sticking here for this week, you know, I'm fine going with Badgett if you think Caleb's going to miss time.
62:53But I think it could be just a one-week absence for Caleb.
62:57He might play. So that's why I don't have Badgett.
63:00If I knew Caleb was going to miss a couple of weeks, it would be Badgett.
63:06But I don't know that. And so I prefer Mariota just because I think Daniels is definitely going to miss at least four weeks.
63:13And Mariota's got some nice rushing upside and still has some really good weapons there as well.
63:19So that is, yeah, that's pretty much it, folks.
63:22I want to say thank you guys so much for the support.
63:26Thank you guys for watching here. We've got 36 people here on the YouTube side of things.
