Aaron Jones

PositiveUsage56:05

Aaron Jones is a must-start, having recorded 20-plus touches in each of the last two games.

Insight page

AJ Barner

PositiveValue69:56

A.J. Barner is a flex-worthy tight end who has delivered for fantasy and is seeing goal-line work. He is considered a better start than many wide receiver sixes.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveValue6:46

Antonio Williams deserves serious consideration for fantasy lineups, especially if Terry McLaurin is out, though the source notes the target distribution in Washington remains frustratingly split with players like Dyami Brown.

Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveProjection74:10

Bo Nix is struggling with accuracy, ranking near the bottom of the league in on-target throw percentage. His poor play makes it difficult to trust any Denver Broncos pass-catchers.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

NegativeRole36:57

While startable, Braelon Allen may not deliver the anticipated fantasy day unless he scores a touchdown; the source expects a split workload with Isaiah Davis rather than Allen receiving all the touches.

Insight page
PositiveValue76:26

Braylon Allen is a preferred start over Denver Broncos running backs due to better touchdown opportunity, a better team total, and a more favorable matchup.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeInjury32:17

Breece Hall is expected to be out for a few weeks due to injury.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeUsage49:46

Bucky Irving remains a must-start despite a benching for pass protection issues, as he maintains a 77% touch share in a thin backfield.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeProjection48:45

Fantasy managers should temper expectations for Chase Brown, as a true breakout is not expected until 2026.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveSleeper56:51

Chris Bell is a decent stash and a potential flex play for upside chasers with Caleb Douglas out.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveValue34:12

Colston Loveland remains a 'buy low' candidate despite the recent focus on Kalif Raymond; he is still a key part of the plan and saw high-value targets, including a near-touchdown.

Insight page

Darren Waller

PositiveValue82:44

Darren Waller is a recommended start and a potential flex option who is consistently involved in the Panthers' passing attack.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

PositiveValue74:46

Deebo Samuel is identified as a 'smash' start for the week, representing a high-upside play alongside the obvious 49ers stars like Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

NegativeInjury42:19

Devonta Smith is expected to be out for multiple weeks, creating a void in the Eagles' passing attack.

Insight page

Dontayvion Wicks

PositiveBreakout70:24

Dontayvion Wicks is considered a must-start following the news that Devonta Smith could be out for multiple weeks.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeBust21:52

Drake Maye is currently QB32 and must produce against the Bills this week; if he fails, the source suggests he should be benched regardless of other factors.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

NegativeUsage68:42

Emmanuel Wilson is expected to handle baseline and goal-line work for the Seahawks, but he lacks explosiveness and is not projected to see significant targets. He is splitting the backfield with George Holani.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveUsage36:42

With multiple teammates sidelined, Garrett Wilson is a massive start for fantasy managers; the source emphasizes he must see 15 targets in this matchup.

Insight page

George Holani

PositiveUsage68:49

George Holani is the preferred start over Emmanuel Wilson in PPR formats because he is expected to see more targets. He recorded nearly 50 receiving yards last week and is the primary pass-catching option in the Seahawks' backfield.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveProjection75:34

George Kittle is a reliable start who continues to produce despite injury concerns. The 49ers' offense is performing at an elite level, and Kittle remains a focal point.

Insight page

Isaiah Davis

PositiveSleeper37:25

Isaiah Davis is a viable flex option this week as the source expects him to split the backfield workload with Braelon Allen, unlike last week when he saw no work.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveUsage80:38

Jahmyr Gibbs is a must-start, as he currently has more total yards and touchdowns than the Lions' top three wide receivers combined.

Insight page

Jakobi Meyers

PositiveUsage44:18

Jakobi Meyers is a recommended start as he leads the team in routes run and saw eight targets last week compared to Washington's five.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

NegativeInjury79:10

Jalen Coker's status is uncertain due to injury, but he remains a high-upside play if he suits up. He is a player to monitor closely for late-game lineup decisions.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection43:21

Despite criticisms, Jalen Hurts remains a viable start because the Eagles' game script will force him to throw, and he performs well when given time in the pocket.

Insight page

Jalon Daniels

PositiveSleeper48:18

Jalen Daniels is a viable play in Superflex leagues due to his dual-threat ability and the fact that he is not a significant downgrade from Baker Mayfield's current performance.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveBreakout80:54

Jameson Williams is a buy-low candidate despite a slow start. His lack of yards after the catch is an anomaly that should regress positively, and he faces a depleted Carolina secondary this week.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveProjection80:15

Jared Goff is consistently underrated in the fantasy sphere. While he may not win a week single-handedly, he is a safe, reliable quarterback who rarely helps a manager lose.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveUsage53:21

Javonte Williams is a must-start due to his bell-cow role, controlling 79% of the opportunity share with nearly 18 touches per game and double-digit team target range.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveProjection71:11

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the clear primary pass-catcher for the Seahawks and is a must-start in all formats.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeProjection73:31

Jalen Waddle has had a highly inconsistent start to the season, alternating between big games and near-zero production. His fantasy value is severely capped by the poor play of quarterback Bo Nix.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveUsage61:59

Jeremiah Love is a full-throttle start for the remainder of the season after receiving 26 touches last week, signaling the team is comfortable with his health.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveRole55:10

Jordan Addison is the clear WR1 for the Vikings with Justin Jefferson out and is a must-start due to Kyler Murray's tendency to hyper-target his top receiver.

Insight page

Justice Hill

PositiveSleeper15:13

Justice Hill is recommended as a desperation add for RB2-needy managers, particularly in this matchup against the Titans where game script could favor him; the source believes he should be rostered.

Insight page

Kalif Raymond

PositiveUsage38:52

Kalif Raymond is a flex-worthy start, boasting a 26% target per route rate and over 10 yards per target; he is benefiting from defensive attention on teammates Burden and Loveland.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeDepth Chart49:58

Kenny Gainwell should be rostered after seeing snaps following Bucky Irving's pass protection error, though he is not necessarily a recommended start.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveRole65:12

Ladd McConkey is an excellent separator who would look very good for fantasy if the Chargers' quarterback had reasonable time to throw. Despite missing practice and game time with a foot injury, he remains a key part of the offense and a potential beneficiary of Seattle's zone-heavy defensive scheme.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

NegativeUsage42:31

Despite high route participation (29 routes per game), Makai Lemon has been unproductive, matching Johnny Munt's poor fantasy points per route of 0.12.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeProjection66:41

Despite the Giants' offensive struggles, Malik Nabers remains a start based on name value alone.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveRole55:22

Malik Washington offers a safe floor for the Dolphins with Caleb Douglas out.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

PositiveUsage3:25

Marcus Mariota performed well in relief of Jayden Daniels against the Eagles, and the source notes he has a history of throwing to Terry McLaurin, which may benefit McLaurin's fantasy outlook.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeUsage10:21

The source is moving away from Mark Andrews, noting that he looks slow and uninvolved in the Ravens' offense, which has become consolidated around Lamar Jackson, Derek Henry, and Zay Flowers.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeProjection51:54

Marshawn Lloyd is becoming a very difficult player to start in fantasy due to the Packers' historically poor run game.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveRole59:46

Michael Mayer is an every-down player in the Raiders' consolidated offense and should be considered a weekly fantasy flex play.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveBreakout60:49

Michael Wilson has emerged as a key target in Arizona, posting a 26% target per route rate; he is a recommended start alongside Trey McBride.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury72:44

Mike Evans is dealing with a recurring injury that has kept him out of practice (DNP) back-to-back days. He is a game-time decision, which is a risky situation for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Mike Gesicki

PositiveUsage45:38

Mike Gesicki has emerged as the Bengals' third pass-catching option, posting over 1.9 yards per route and a 17% target per route rate, making him a viable tight end option.

Insight page

Najee Harris

PositiveDepth Chart68:46

Najee Harris has secured the RB2 role and should not be left on the waiver wire; he showed efficiency with 9 carries for 52 yards against a tough defense.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveValue54:04

Nico Collins is considered highly valuable to the Texans' offense, with his presence significantly improving the team's functionality and intermediate passing game.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage44:05

Parker Washington is the primary target in the Jaguars' pecking order, and his outlook is further bolstered by the injury to Bengals slot corner Jalen Davis.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeProjection43:51

Puka Nacua is not expected to be an elite option this week, potentially falling into the mid-range WR2 tier due to concerns about his health and decoy potential.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeBust65:32

Quinton Johnston is not considered a viable fantasy asset, despite the Chargers' persistent efforts to force him into a significant role. He is expected to be overtaken by Trey Harris on the depth chart.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeBust60:45

Rashee Rice is a clear sell. Despite high target volume, he is not a true WR1 and lacks end-zone looks, making him a low-end WR2 at best.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeUsage23:24

Rhamondre Stevenson's usage has declined significantly, with his snaps and routes dropping since the first two weeks; the source is confused by the current Patriots backfield split with Tyjae Spears.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveValue44:15

Saquon Barkley's target volume (two per game) is insufficient. If he does not see an increase in targets with Devonta Smith out, the source recommends trading him based on name value.

Insight page

Skyy Moore

PositiveSleeper52:13

Skyy Moore is a good floor flex play after seeing seven targets from the slot last week; he could benefit from defenses focusing on other Packers pass catchers.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveProjection5:55

Stefan Diggs is expected to have a big day against the Colts' defense, regardless of whether Terry McLaurin plays, as the Colts' defense is not considered a unit to fear.

Insight page

T.J. Hockenson

NegativeProjection56:12

T.J. Hockenson is a startable option if necessary, as he is heavily involved in the route tree, but there are other players the source prefers starting over him.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeInjury5:07

Terry McLaurin is nursing a late-week hamstring injury that has him questionable for the upcoming game, and he is expected to face tough coverage from Sauce Gardner.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

NegativeUsage18:54

Tony Pollard has looked good, shifty, and evasive, but the Titans' poor game script and offensive usage limit his fantasy ceiling.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveRole60:08

Travis Kelce looks good and is performing well, validating the source's preseason optimism regarding his role.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveBreakout65:25

Trey Harris is a must-add player who should have leapfrogged Quinton Johnston in the depth chart long ago. He is seeing increased involvement and is expected to become the Chargers' number one wideout if McConkey continues to miss time.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveProjection46:51

Trevor Lawrence is a recommended start; despite a drop-off in fourth-quarter production, he has been a high-end performer through three quarters of play.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveRole53:18

Tucker Kraft has reassumed a full-time role and is a viable start, especially if the Packers' offensive line improvements allow him to run more routes instead of blocking.

Insight page

Tyler Higbee

PositiveRole44:48

With Parkinson and Ferguson likely out, Tyler Higbee is a recommended start for the Rams.

Insight page
PositiveUsage70:48

Tyler Higbee is a recommended start for the Rams as teammates Parkinson and Ferguson are expected to be sidelined.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveBreakout9:56

Zay Flowers is currently 'breaking fantasy football' with an elite 48% target per route rate and over 9.25 yards per route; every target he has seen this year has resulted in a first down or touchdown.

0:08Time now for Fantasy Football Weekly from iHeartRadio. Your weekly source for the nation's best fantasy speculation and advice.
0:15What's up, everyone? We are back in black. Fantasy Football Weekly, week four edition.
0:19Game by game with your friends, Jake Trowbridge and yours truly, John Laghezza.
0:23Mr. Jake, how are you doing? Another week in the books, man.
0:27It is really happening fast, at least on my end.
0:31It's a quarter of the way through like the regular fantasy season, I guess.
0:35Technically, three to four weeks, that's about a quarter of the way through the regular fantasy season.
0:41And I wasn't prepared for it to be even a week through the fantasy season right now.
0:46It just feels like there's, you know, time has never been a thing that's really added up for me since like lockdown years.
0:54But this just really shows that you have to stay on top of the ball because stuff gets away from you fast.
1:01Yeah. One of the things I love so much about this show is it helps me remember what day of the week it is.
1:09Yeah. It's Friday for us now. Right. As of recording, it's Friday.
1:12In case you haven't seen, Jake has some dynasty work over on FL, Matthew Barry's Fantasy Life.
1:18And I just submitted my weekly novella. I do a game by game breakdown.
1:23Also, for those of you who still like to read, sneak in a couple of nugs.
1:28And you know what, Jake? This work ain't going to get done on its own.
1:33What do you say we rip the court? Let's start it up.
1:37This one, I believe, is across the pond. In merry old England, the Indianapolis Colts are on the road against the Commanders, who are also on the road.
1:46Colts three and a half point favorites, 47 point game total.
1:49That kind of indifferent line, if you ask me, right?
1:52That kind of milquetoast line. Colts and Commanders. Man, Colts showed a little bit of life against, you know, the Chiefs at one point.
2:00Commanders just famously upset the Seahawks, burning the few remaining survivor tickets that I had.
2:05Mariota definitely acquitted himself well. And I think that was the main takeaway.
2:09I actually said that, that relief game he came in after Daniels went down against the Eagles, that he looked pretty good.
2:17I just don't know if it's going to be enough.
2:20But this Colts defense has really been horrendous. I just feel like they have the more balanced and complete offense.
2:26Also, Josh Downs making his ascendance. What do you like in this one, Colts and Commanders?
2:32Going to have to start calling him Josh Ups pretty soon.
2:35That's Pun City population us right now. I think the big things for this game, though, it's kind of a two-parter.
2:42The London game itself tends to be a little bit lower scoring.
2:46Like London games don't maybe have the same reputation as Thursday night football.
2:50Thursday night football, people seem to think, is always like really low scoring.
2:54And it's kind of not, actually. It just depends on the matchups.
2:58London always seems to be low scoring regardless of the matchups.
3:02But also, there are some injuries that I think will bring some of these totals down.
3:07Like Terry McLaurin is nursing a hamstring injury that just popped up, which you never like to see late in the week.
3:14That has him questionable. Rashad White's going to be out.
3:17So it's how much can Marcus Mariota do potentially with Stefan Diggs, which we didn't really see last week.
3:24You know, Diggs was kind of the second man, which made sense because Mariota did have all of last year or a
3:31good portion of last year to throw to McLaurin.
3:34And McLaurin actually looked better with Mariota in the games than with Daniels in the games for fantasy purposes, at least.
3:40So I'm hoping that McLaurin does play even though he's going to get the sauce Gardner treatment probably.
3:46And I do feel bad for that. If Terry McLaurin sits, I mean, pity Trelon Burks or whoever it is that has to go up against him.
3:55You don't even mess with starting him. Stefan Diggs, though, should have, I think, a pretty big day regardless.
4:01Because you're right. The Colts defense, it's nothing to be afraid of for us.
4:06So I actually think if McLaurin is out, and maybe even if McLaurin is in, Antonio Williams deserves some serious consideration in
4:13your lineups if you have him, John. Yeah. Commander's targetry was a little frustrating.
4:17You know, we want two main pass catchers, maybe three routes split three ways, let's say.
4:23Yeah. And with Mariota, and again, every time you get a new QB, you kind of shake up the etch-a-sketch.
4:29Not only was it Williams, but Deami Brown also, he didn't just get split work.
4:34They were all earning targets. Going to be a little frustrating, I think.
4:38I'm actually help for fantasy purposes. Maybe if McLaurin is limited, again, to boost Diggs.
4:43The rest of them, I might stay away. Maybe Williams, I think it's viable, but it's definitely going to be frustrating if
4:50you see him on the sideline and Deami Brown soaking up targets.
4:54Not exactly what we want to see as fantasy managers.
4:57Again, I'm going to kind of lean towards the Colts here again.
5:01The Washington defense has been good against the run, but they've also kind of struggled to tackle, and JT is really tough.
5:09So I think I'm going to try and ride the wave with the Colts.
5:13Maybe that defense does kind of turn things around a bit, but I don't know if it's the international thing, if it's a 9.30 early start.
5:22Eastern, I'm not a huge fan of these games.
5:24I generally try and avoid them. I'm going to really avoid it, unless I need to.
5:30Next up, we've got Tennessee Titans. Yikes, man, this team is terrible.
5:34They lost to the Jameis Winston Giants. They're on the road against the Baltimore Ravens.
5:38This is the biggest spread on the board. Ravens right now favored by 11.5.
5:43That total is only 43.5, which gives you an idea how low the expectations for the Titans are.
5:49They have such a low total with so many points scored.
5:52Well, newsflash, we're expecting them from Baltimore, who will be returning.
5:56Zay Flowers, who right now is kind of breaking fantasy football.
6:00Also a little bit unusual when there's this guy named Jackson Smith Njigba doing his thing.
6:05Now, Flowers hasn't really run the routes. He's only, I mean, he really hasn't run a ton of routes at all.
6:12But he's at a 48% target per route rate and over 9.25 yards per route.
6:16Yeah, that's pretty good, Jake. So I think Baltimore is keeping it really consolidated.
6:21I've been getting away from Mark Andrews, who looks really kind of slow and uninvolved.
6:26Right now, it's Lamar. It's Derek Henry. It's Zay Flowers.
6:29That feels really good. I do not want anything to do with any Titans.
6:34I know Cardinal Tate got a couple of looks, and Wilde Robinson has gotten some targets.
6:39I've been advising readers to try and treat this as like a quote-unquote sell high and get whatever you can.
6:45Because right now, I'm seeing systemic rot with Tennessee.
6:48Cam Ward, not very good. Do you think I missed anything?
6:52Sometimes I feel like the lines are making it kind of obvious for us.
6:56Jake, Titans and Ravens. I mean, I don't know if you missed anything, John.
7:01I do want to point out, if anybody was worried about Lamar Jackson, it does look like he's going to be good to go.
7:09I kind of felt like that was a foregone conclusion, but it's now cemented.
7:13That's great. But it does feel like whatever fantasy points we're going to get out of the Ravens in this game, it's
7:21going to be like, what have they done in the first half?
7:24Because I don't know if they'll need to complete a pass in the second half against this atrocious Titans team.
7:31So don't be scared to start anybody, of course.
7:34But also don't expect the moon, because this isn't probably going to be the most competitive matchup.
7:39Now, Derek Henry might go ahead and score three touchdowns this week, all in the second half.
7:45And what a delight to just see him doing his thing.
7:48But I did want to point something out, because this stat really spoke to me about Zay Flowers, which is every target
7:56that he's seen this year basically got a first down or a touchdown.
8:00How does, I don't even know how that happens.
8:03That's just outrageous. But second stat that tells you how bad the Titans are for real life and kind of for starting
8:10guys against them in fantasy, the Titans have given up the eighth fewest passing yards in the league.
8:16And it ain't because they're a shutdown defense, John.
8:19It's because of how bad they are as a unit.
8:22So, yeah, start your guys, but don't feel like you're going to get crazy numbers.
8:27Now, let me ask you one time, because we want to try and deliver as much actionable info as possible.
8:33A lot of running backs are going down. And in these situations, sometimes the backup running back on the favorite could get some love.
8:41It's funny, if the Titans were like a representative offense, we wouldn't be looking to run against them.
8:47With Jeffrey Simmons there, they've actually been one of the better defenses in terms of yards per rush, 3.6.
8:53Yards up to contact per rush, below 2.5. They haven't allowed a 20-yard rush, an explosive rush rate below 5.
9:00However, they're still like bottom three in rushes allowed, right?
9:03Attempts are not really something that's allowed because it's the other team.
9:07But game scripts do dictate that. I wonder, can we give out Justice Hill as like a desperation add?
9:13He's had 5 for 33 against Dallas, and that was in a tight game script.
9:18We haven't really seen Baltimore kind of blow anybody out yet.
9:21Do you think Hill, because again, there's a lot, there's quite a bit of desperation.
9:26We're going to be talking about some hurt running backs.
9:30I actually added him to the very back end of deeper, those first come, first serve ads.
9:35Do you think Hill might get, I don't know, 8 or 10 touches?
9:39Maybe sneak into the end zone and save the day for people desperate at RB2?
9:44Or should we just move on? And then I was curious, if you really get to the Titans, do we want any,
9:51are there any Titans you're willing to start? Well, first of all, with Justice Hill, he shouldn't be on waivers, like at all.
9:59I don't think he should certainly be rostered. And this is the type of game where it feels like if he's going
10:06to do something to really juice up your lineup, this is probably the one just based on game script.
10:12So if you're asking like, would I rather start Ollie Gordon, who is a big waiver wire ad and who we'll talk
10:19about later, or Justice Hill, I actually think I'd rather start Justice Hill.
10:24So if that gives you some sense of what the overall landscape is also versus what this game is going to be, there you go.
10:32But I mean, Cardinal Tate, Wondell Robinson, Tony Pollard, if you got to flex these guys, it's fine.
10:38It's fine. There should be plenty of garbage time for one or a couple of them to do something for your team.
10:45But it's just not the kind of game where you go, ah, I can pick out that guy as doing something special.
10:52Yeah, it's true. I mean, in fantasy, we need the bad teams to do their part.
10:57And the older I get and the further we get into this thing of ours, the more I really appreciate the Cardinals.
11:04You know, I really do appreciate the Cardinals. Dude, they're going out there and they are going down swinging.
11:10They're going to give even the good teams four quarters worth of reason to punch back.
11:16You nailed the first half thing. You still have to start your Baltimore studs, but it really takes away from some of the ceiling.
11:23I have a really dank stat later on. I'm going to get you.
11:28That's in that same vein. So yeah, it's your studly Ravens.
11:31You're avoiding your Titans as always until something changes.
11:34And man, if you're actually watching the Titans, Pollard has looked good.
11:38He's broken long runs. He's been shifty and evasive, but without the opportunity of the game script, there's just not enough there
11:45to sink your teeth into for fantasy. Let's go, Titans.
11:48Get it together. They could be a real... This could be an interesting team, but right now it's just one half.
11:55Poke him with his pick. Get him to do something.
11:58It's so brutal. Watching him is so brutal. You could tell even in like catch-up time, the Titans will be in third and long and running the ball.
12:08And you're like, that is such a killer. That's just the opposite of what you want.
12:13It feels like a red flag. All right. This one is maybe more interesting to me than the spreadsheets might have us believe.
12:20The Patriots at one and two, I mean, and just nightmare fuel right now for Patriots fans.
12:26They're on the road, northern New York. No one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.
12:31Bills, just six and a half point favorites. Jake, why don't you start this one?
12:36Because to me, that was the number that really stuck out.
12:39I know this is a fantasy show, but there is a lot of overlap.
12:44Vegas is very sharp, and we should be using them as a kind of light post.
12:49So did that give a red flag like Buffalo looks unbeatable, Patriots look kind of terrible.
12:54Do you think maybe this one is just that close?
12:58Or the books sometimes do get it wrong. What do you think?
13:02Yeah, I don't know how watching these two teams over the last three weeks, it came to that, I guess, because I
13:09just strictly from the eye test and from the stats test, frankly, I look at the Patriots and I put Drake May
13:16in the exact same situation that I had Justin Herbert in last week.
13:20Not just that he's playing the Bills, but it's that if he cannot produce in this, which Vegas suggests should be at least having some fireworks.
13:29If Drake May can't produce in this, then how do you feel comfortable starting him again, period, after this?
13:35And like, he has to ride your bench if he can't do it this week.
13:40He's what QB 32 or something outrageous on the year right now.
13:43So he should have to throw the ball a ton to keep up with Josh Allen.
13:49But again, you can even AJ Brown coming back, I don't think is going to absolve Drake May of seeing the bench if he fails this time.
13:57But I think the running back situation is even crazier to try to decipher right now for the Patriots.
14:04I don't know what Mike Rabel is doing with Ramondre versus Travion.
14:08That usage last week, 10 touches for Ramondre, nine for Travion.
14:11I don't know if there's some lingering punishment from the fumble for Ramondre in the previous week, which Rabel didn't have a tendency to do.
14:19He didn't tend to carry over punishment into the next game.
14:23But I don't know how you explain Ramondre snaps just going down so much, his routes going down so much from the first two weeks.
14:31And so I don't love either of those guys.
14:34And then the pass catchers for the Patriots, it's like, I get the allure of this game.
14:39And obviously you start everybody on the bill side that you have ever started in the past.
14:45But, you know, Romeo Dobbs, Matt Collins, these guys are both like Jameson William types for fantasy were one week.
14:51They're going to do great, but they're both that guy.
14:55And so I can't even trust them on a week to week basis.
14:59I'm trying to tell myself this New England wave is coming again in May has looked really bad, but sometimes the errors
15:06are so bad that if you just, it's going to sound terrible.
15:10If you just get rid of the errors, like it'd actually be all right.
15:15I mean, and it's sacks and picks between the turnovers and the sacks.
15:19It's been completely debilitating. And I think that's what I mean.
15:22The errors are so critical that they just blow up the whole machine.
15:27And if he's just a little more careful, maybe we see a semblance of the offense that we wanted last year, though.
15:34You're not really going to find it in the pass catching room, getting tons of questions all week, every week.
15:40You know, should we go after Matt Collins? That's been the name I've been mentioning.
15:45He's putting up real receiver numbers, 22% target per route over two yards per route, just under 10 yards per target, but
15:52just over 14 routes per first down. But there's just no yak to speak of.
15:57And there's no high value work because the Patriots are not sniffing the end zone.
16:02Dubs, the second you get excited, it kind of goes south.
16:06The volume hasn't really been there. He doesn't really look sharp.
16:09I think this team archetypically or archetypally needs a field stretcher, right?
16:13It was booty. Then it was Brown. That was very short-lived.
16:17And now they're without one. And I think maybe that's a big part of it.
16:21You mentioned the running backs. Since they're the only two backs touching the ball, which, by the way, very strange.
16:28Patriots got killed last week. Travion had just one catch.
16:31I mean, I don't know. Again, I just don't understand stylistically what's going on with this team at all.
16:37But they're going to have to make it happen.
16:40I know I wrote at the end of my kind of summary was in my write-up that it wasn't really in the analytics.
16:48It's not really on the spreadsheet or in the game field.
16:51But I have a feeling that maybe New England kind of wins this one to turn their season around.
16:58That or I'm just hoping. Because if not, it's really a wrap.
17:01Buffalo did look very human last week. To Buffalo, are you starting anybody outside the big names?
17:07It's obviously Allen. It's obviously Cook. You're starting Kincaidian.
17:10You're starting Moore. Has anyone else got you going?
17:13Or does the New England defense maybe push you off that?
17:16Because I think that's where I'm at. Yeah, I'm not ready to get any non-studs from the Bills into here.
17:23I'm sticking to those four corners, those four pillars that you mentioned.
17:27Like if you want to start Khalil Shakira because you're just absolutely desperate or something in the flex spot, I mean, good luck to you.
17:35But I'm not going to be doing that. Yeah, I think I'm with you.
17:40Again, Allen is such an animal. He's eating up all the touchdowns.
17:43Cook gets him too, but that's where they're going.
17:46All right, Jake, let's cut that right there. That was really good.
17:50We're going to be back in just a minute.
17:53A couple more games to go over. We got Jets, Bears, Jags, Bengals.
17:57And at the time, we'll do some Cowboys and Texans.
18:01This is Fantasy Football Weekly with Jake and John.
18:04You know what happens the second you make your picks on Underdog?
18:07All that football knowledge you've spent the week collecting suddenly matters even more.
18:12Before kickoff, maybe you're relaxed. Then your picks lock.
18:15Now you're checking everything. What's the weather? Who's active?
18:18Who's getting the red zone work? Why does this guy only have two targets?
18:22Now you're three feet from the television yelling, get him the ball!
18:26Because once you've made your picks, every target, every carry, and every yard suddenly matters.
18:31And for fantasy football people, we already live for this stuff.
18:34That's what makes Underdog such a natural fit. Download Underdog to play Keep Your Million.
18:39Start with a million dollars, make it through all 20 picks, and walk away with whatever's left.
18:45You spend all week thinking you know how these games are going to play out.
18:50Now put that football knowledge to work. Get on Underdog and play Keep Your Million.
18:55Underdog, unleash your dog. Trading involves risk, including total loss on positions.
18:59Content is promotional and not a recommendation to trade.
19:01Terms apply. Promotion issued by affiliate. All right, you're back with Jake and John, Fantasy Football Weekly, week four game-by-game breakdown.
19:08Some fantasy-loving coming at you. Next up, Jakey. J-E-T-S spells ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch.
19:13This one, the best line I could come up with in my write-up, I thought it was really clever, but I hate giving myself too much credit.
19:22The Jets, as soon as they started playing well, got hurt.
19:25The Bears didn't start playing well until they got hurt.
19:28Did I say that right? I see what you did.
19:32Yeah, something like that. Anyway, my Jets were looking good, and then they started dropping like flies.
19:37Brees Hall is down for a few weeks. Garrett Mitchell went down, but I think he's okay.
19:43Looks like Mason Taylor is going to miss also.
19:46And A.D. Mitchell, who I was slowly falling in love with.
19:49I should have known he was going to miss another game if you saw the size of that mitten.
19:55He looked like a 1980s offensive lineman with that thing.
19:59So it's Jets and Bears. Jets are three and a half point.
20:03Underdogs on the road. Ben Johnson will not announce the starter.
20:06How nice of him. How about this? Keenum, I think he's Keenum adjudicated himself really nicely.
20:11He looked okay. He made some stakes. I think the Eagles were the fail point in that game.
20:17We might see Tyson Bajan, but the more I looked at it, I think they're probably a decent facsimile of each other.
20:24So I don't want to go too far into the weeds missing information, but I think the Jets is really straightforward, right?
20:32You love Kenyon Sadiq. I think you can roll with Geno Smith.
20:35Of course, you like Mitchell. I'm guessing you have no choice if you've added Braille and Allen than to start him.
20:42And the Bears, I think you're looking at the close to the line of scrimmage targets, regardless of the quarterback.
20:49So, you know, we saw the Luther Bird in love.
20:52Unfortunately for us, Colston Loveland guys, it was the Kalief Raymond show again.
20:56Though Loveland almost had the touchdown, and then they missed him on another long one.
21:01So he is definitely still very much a part of the plan.
21:05And I'm still calling him a buy low, but I also have a couple of mortgage payments invested in that young man.
21:12So let's go, Loveland. Let's get it together. I think this one could be a lot of fun.
21:18The total though, Jake, at 43, felt a little bit low.
21:22I think we're going over it. Jets defense played really well for two weeks.
21:26I didn't think they were that good. Then they got smoked by the Lions.
21:31I don't think they're that bad. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.
21:36Same to be said for the Bears, who finally played well last weekend.
21:40The 43 again feels low. I'm expecting a lot more scoring than the books here.
21:45What say you? Yeah, John, I think this is going to be a pretty fun slop fest, actually.
21:51Like, I don't think this is going to be amazing football to watch necessarily, but I do expect there to be, yeah, more points.
21:58So you and I are definitely in agreement on that.
22:02And yes, Garrett Wilson just simply must see 15 targets.
22:05And if he doesn't, then I'm writing a strongly worded letter to the Jets organization.
22:10With all those guys out, of course, Garrett Wilson, big, big up to the moon, I guess, as some people say.
22:17Braylon Allen, though, that is the big question mark, I think, in this matchup.
22:21Yeah, you can definitely start him. But I just don't know that he's going to have the big fantasy day that everybody
22:28kind of anticipates unless he falls into the end zone.
22:31Now, the Bears have given up at least 100 rushing yards in every game so far.
22:37But Allen's not the explosive running back that Brees Hall is.
22:40He's not as versatile as Brees Hall is. He's kind of a true plotter.
22:45And I do think Isaiah Davis, who didn't really get any work last week, you know, on short notice when Brees Hall
22:52left, I think that that changes this week. I think that a split workload makes a lot of sense because remember the
22:59last time Brees missed a game, which I think was back in 2024 now.
23:04But it was Davis and Allen splitting pretty much down the middle.
23:08So I think with an actual game planning situation this week, just don't expect all of the touches to go to Braylon Allen.
23:15But I think if you're desperate, you could also put Isaiah Davis in your flex.
23:20Ben Johnson, just stop toying with us, though, please, so we can figure out what to do with these Bears and these Bears pass catchers.
23:28I mean, don't start either backup quarterback unless you're truly in dire straits.
23:32But Kalief Raymond, John, I mean, I'm OK at this point saying you can flex him until he gives you a reason not to.
23:40Am I crazy? Am I just looking too much at the final output and not enough at the inputs?
23:46No, absolutely not. Absolutely not. You strike while that iron is hot.
23:50We've seen it happen before with Zacchaeus last year, who ended up being supplanted eventually.
23:55But if you were on the original train and then made a transfer to the next oncoming train, you were the winner both ways.
24:03Again, don't look the gift horse in the mouth.
24:06Kalief Raymond at 26% target per route, two and a third yards per route over 10 yards per target.
24:12And it's a valued role, right? We want that inside kind of slot role dragging across east to west in the Ben Johnson scheme.
24:20I actually think he's been the benefactor, not because Kalief Raymond is suddenly great, but all the attention is going towards Burden and going towards Loveland.
24:28And Raymond just kind of finds some space and he's being targeted.
24:32So yes, he's absolutely flex worthy, though. I think at the first bad game or the first Loveland breakout, it might be C'est la vie on that front.
24:41Man, can't give myself that I butchered that quote.
24:44I really wanted to nail that. But, you know, such is live radio.
24:48Next up, this one should be a lot more interesting than I'm getting old, Jake.
24:53These are the games that we're dying for and I just can't get excited for it.
24:58Jaguars on the road versus Bengals. This feels like it has future ramifications.
25:03Playoff seating could feel like an AFC championship type match.
25:06You know, the Bills are certainly part of the conversation, but Jacksonville and Cincinnati certainly on the short list.
25:12Very good balanced teams, prolific offenses, and kind of tough defenses, though.
25:16The Bengals linebacker crew didn't look great. Even with that, though, it was a roughing the punter and a fumble by Joe
25:23Burrow that cost the Bengals that game. They really should have won.
25:27I kind of took that personally. And not to be jockeying my own model too hard, but this one has a big total.
25:3551 and a half, highest total on the board.
25:37I don't see it. I'm almost a touchdown lower.
25:40I think we're to the under here. I think you're going to see two teams kind of feeling each other out, looking
25:48to run a lot, and establish each other and kind of trying to disallow the other team from having the ball too far.
25:55That said, both of these pass games can be really efficient.
25:59Are you starting anybody out of the norm? I think that's the question I'm getting.
26:03You're starting T-Law. You're starting Parker Washington. You're starting Tootin and Chase and Burrow.
26:08Are there any kind of secondary pieces that maybe have your eye?
26:12I mean, I think it's worth questioning if the Bengals' defense is exactly what they were the first two weeks or if
26:19last week was a little bit more of the earned reputation that they should have going forward.
26:25Because, you know, coming into the season, it's not like anybody thought the Bengals were this dominant defense.
26:30And they just got sliced and diced by Aaron Rodgers, like he was the newest ghost face in the Scream franchise.
26:37So there should be room for more than just the normal guys to get something done, at least on the Jacksonville side of thing.
26:45I still am of the mind that 90% of the time, Parker Washington is the main guy in that offense, in that pecking order.
26:53Last week it was a Jacoby Myers game. He got eight targets to Washington's five.
26:58So I'm also fine starting Jacoby Myers again and just testing out and seeing if this Bengals' defense is going to get
27:05back to what they started off the year as or if they're just going to kind of fade into what they've been.
27:12Yeah, I love that call-out. Jacoby Myers is one of the names that I was hoping you would mention.
27:18He's now leading that team in routes run. Travis Hunter is playing defense.
27:22And Brian Thomas is losing work to Josh Cameron.
27:25He's also been getting, you know, the eye of Sauron from all these really great cornerbacks.
27:31One injury note for Cincy, that slot corner Jalen Davis is on the IR.
27:35I mean, that's really great news for Parker Washington.
27:38I also wanted to call out Mike Gusecki, who is a tight, he's a Tino, right?
27:43A tight end in name only. He's really kind of taken over the Bengals' third pass-catching option.
27:49And I think for a Joe Burrow team, we should be more interested in that than we are.
27:55Mike Gusecki, over 1.9 yards per route, you know, just under 17% target per route.
28:00But that dog will hunt for a tight end on a prolific offense.
28:04You know, the tight end competition is pretty weak.
28:07The stat that I was mentioning before had to do with Trevor Lawrence.
28:11And I couldn't believe that Trevor Lawrence right now is outside the QB1 conversation.
28:15And I'm like, wow. Did you know, Jake, through three quarters of play, Trevor Lawrence is the overall QB4.
28:22He drops to the QB14. When you include the fourth quarter, he's averaged one fantasy point a game in the fourth quarter.
28:29So maybe now Cincinnati should keep this one competitive.
28:32It's time to roll with Trevor Lawrence. People have been asking me, man, what's going on with T-Law?
28:38Nothing. You have to get pushed. And Jacksonville has just been, man, they've been that good.
28:43Everyone's so obsessed with the Liam Combs stuff and all the interesting offensive pieces that the defense doesn't get as much love as they should.
28:51They get tons of pressures and tons of sacks and they tackle well.
28:55And I think you could say the same for Cincinnati.
28:58Again, I think you're right to call out the defense a little bit.
29:03I think the front four is really strong and it's the linebacking crew.
29:07But we're going to see how that shakes out.
29:10This one, it feels like you're in line with me, right?
29:13Maybe a little less fireworks. I didn't squeeze that one out of you.
29:18Just really quick because we have to move on.
29:20Over under that 51 and a half, Jake. I mean, I would take the under.
29:25And just as a quick aside, I also think you're going to have to wait a little bit more for the Chase Brown true breakout of 2026.
29:34Okay, great. Good stuff. Thank you for confirming my priors.
29:37The reason I say that is had you decided you're over 51 and a half, we really should be more interested or
29:45should be interested, I should say, in more fantasy assets.
29:48It takes a lot of scoring to get there.
29:51So if you're not interested in it, but you're on the under, at least you're consistent.
29:56All right, next up, we could probably do this one pretty quick.
30:00Dallas Cowboys on the road, two and a half point underdogs against Houston, who I'm really having trouble making any kind of ends out of.
30:08You want to start us off on this one?
30:11It felt, coming in, it felt like Dallas offense juggernaut.
30:14Dallas defense bad. Houston defense juggernaut. Houston offense really bad.
30:17But the Dallas has kept up that side of the narratives.
30:21Houston's been a little, like a little more wishy-washy defense.
30:24Not quite as good as I thought they'd be in the offense, at least without Nico, who is supposed to play.
30:31Man, they look terrible. How important can one single player be is really my question.
30:36Well, that is the million dollar question. And we should hopefully get the answer to that this week because Nico Collins was
30:43practicing Friday, which is huge because I think what you're talking about, both on the offense and defense for Houston, it does
30:50come down to him because their offense looks completely different.
30:53It looks completely shambled without Nico Collins out there.
30:56And you cannot have a terrible, predictable offense for four quarters and expect your defense to also look lights out.
31:03That's a really tall task to be, hey, we're going to be terrible 100% on this side of the ball.
31:09You guys have to be amazing 100% on that side.
31:13It's just not how it works. I will say that Houston did bounce back from, you know, a pretty uncharacteristically awful showing
31:20against Josh Allen in their first game. So all things considered, I actually think they've done a standup job, as it were.
31:27Now for Dallas though, John, and I don't know if we're going to be completely in sync with this, but I think
31:34when we talk about good offenses going up against good defenses, sometimes as fantasy players, we tend to overrate the defensive side
31:41and we just go, ah, let's just put kind of tampers on everybody on offense.
31:46I'm not doing that this time. Like Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, all of those guys, I'm more than comfortable starting
31:53and saying, go beat them because good offenses can do that.
31:57And this is a good offense. Javante Williams is a different story, John.
32:01You might have to sell me on starting Javante Williams this week.
32:05Yeah, again, I think you just have to out of necessity because he's controlling so much of the touch share.
32:11You know, he's one of the few guys that are really in what we would consider kind of a bell cow role.
32:19Javante Williams, I happen to just have it here.
32:22His nearly 18 touches a game is good for a 79% opportunity share.
32:26And he's also in the double digit team target range, which those two together, right?
32:31Put them together. What do you got? Bibbidi-bobbidi-boop. I think you have a player that you really have to start.
32:37If there's any handicappers, modelers, or touts out there, you may want to stick your fingers in your ears for this one
32:44because it kills me the more of this I look at.
32:48No player is supposed to be worth more than a couple points in an NFL game as far as the spread.
32:55Those are generally only reserved for quarterbacks. And usually they're really, really good ones.
32:59Nico is none of those things. And I still think he's worth more than that to the Texans because of it's just
33:06the way his functionality resonates throughout the offense. Let's say his ability to not just stretch, but when intermediate and across, right,
33:14allows the rest of that offense to kind of fall into place.
33:17You know, we saw how they look without him, right?
33:21That's where our guy booty ended up. He's really just a vertical threat.
33:25Without him, he doesn't challenge the versatility of a defense in a way that Nico does.
33:30I think Nico also keeps the defense honest in a way that might help David Montgomery in this one.
33:36So I'm kind of back on the Montgomery train.
33:39I think you could probably start marks if you're desperate in a flex spot, but I'm over.
33:45I'm going to go out there. I'm overvaluing Nico Collins for what he matters to this team, what he means to this team.
33:52Although I'm with you. I think Dallas gets it done.
33:55I think they win as a dog and I think all the fantasy assets are going to produce, but just because on
34:03Houston, there are so few that we're interested in.
34:06Man, really great job on that one, Jake. Let's take another quick break.
34:10We're going to be back in just a minute.
34:13We're talking Cardinals, Giants, some Rams and Eagles as we close out the second half here on this week four edition of
34:20Fantasy Football Weekly with Jake and John. You know what happens the second you make your picks on underdog?
34:26All that football knowledge you've spent the week collecting suddenly matters even more.
34:30Before kickoff, maybe you're relaxed. Then your picks lock.
34:33Now you're checking everything. What's the weather? Who's active?

34:41Now you're three feet from the television yelling, get him the ball!
34:45Because once you've made your picks, every target, every carry and every yard suddenly matters.
34:49And for fantasy football people, we already live for this stuff.
34:53That's what makes underdog such a natural fit. Download underdog to play keep your million.
34:58Start with a million dollars, make it through all 20 picks and walk away with whatever's left.
35:03You spend all week thinking you know how these games are going to play out.

35:13Underdog. Unleash your dog. Trading involves risk, including total loss on positions.
35:17Content is promotional and not a recommendation to trade.
35:20Terms apply. Promotion issued by affiliate. All right, what's up and welcome back.
35:24As we get ready to close out our first half of action, it's Jake and John, Fantasy Football Weekly.
35:30Make sure you're checking out Fantasy Life website. You can read my novella, Game by Game Breakdowns.
35:36Dwayne McFarlane's wonderful utilization tool. Which I think is a really helpful tool.
35:40Not always a dark mode for us olds. But it adds a little bit of context beyond just snaps and touches.
35:47It weighs where and how these things happen. And then you get Friedman's game model and stuff, which I kind of weigh some of my own work through.
35:56A lot of great stuff going on over there.
35:59Check it out. Hit us up on the socials if you have any questions.
36:04Jake, I want to pitch this one right to you.
36:07Let's do it. It's probably a little less exciting than some of the other games.
36:12We've got Arizona Cardinals. They're one and a half point favorites.
36:15The Cardinals are favorites. Someone's expecting them to win.
36:18They're on the road in MetLife to face the Giants.
36:2145 total, which kind of felt a little bit high to me, to be honest.
36:26What say you about Cardinals and Giants? Should we be excited about this at all?
36:31There's pieces of this game, I think, to be excited about.
36:35And often we complain that it's not very clear which people we should be starting and who is standing out versus who is sort of blending in.
36:44It's pretty obvious on the Cardinals who is standing out beyond just Trey McBride, who we knew.
36:49Now it's Michael Wilson, who's pulled himself out of that wide receiver abyss in Arizona.
36:5417 targets. 17 targets. I mean, if you see that, though, I'm actually underwhelmed by his final fantasy output based on 17 targets.
37:01But he did fantastic. Obviously, if you started him, you're excited that you started him.
37:06You start him again. Because Jacoby Brissett, they are more than just eating brunch together.
37:11They are, I think, breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week together with how they are looking at each other right now.
37:19Jeremiah Love, though, kind of the guy who went, I don't know, maybe he was benched last week.
37:25I could certainly understand if people felt like they should bench him last week.
37:29But then he gets 26 touches last week to Tyler Algiers' six.
37:33So, John, to me, this just says that the Cardinals are finally comfortable with Jeremiah Love's health.
37:39And I think that was the big impediment to him getting the workload that we just drastically wanted him to get.
37:45So, I'm full throttle in with Jeremiah Love the rest of the way, I think, John.
37:51Am I getting ahead of myself with that? No, you got to give it up for the emergence of the young man.
37:58Hopefully, you did start him last week. But if you're rostering him, you're really happy nonetheless.
38:03Let's get the Cardinals their second gold star, not only for being bad and staying competitive, but also for running a very consolidated utilization tree.
38:11Just all the things that we love about fantasy, right?
38:14To attach yourself to an underdog that's going to be throwing like crazy.
38:19We'd like to see him be maybe a little more efficient.
38:22This stuff is, it's totally crazy that the Cardinals are running, you know, top three number of plays.
38:28They're running 67 plays a game, but they're also bottom three in yards per play.
38:33And, you know, that happens when you're not very good.
38:36But you do get the funnel targets too. Wilson and McBride, those guys are really just going nuts.
38:42Wilson looks like a, you know, smash pick, 26% target per out on the year.
38:47The yards per out are a little low because, again, we've had some conversion issues.
38:52But if the unrealized air yards have anything to say about it, he's going to close out just fine.
38:58So Arizona, nice and clean. I'm more interested with all the moving pieces in New York.
39:03I mean, I have to admit, I was at least partially in the camp of people who was excited.
39:09You know, dreaming on the Jameis Winston that we were told about.
39:13Right? Where is that guy? Where is the guy that plays completely unafraid?
39:17And he's slinging the ball all over the place, not worried about turning it over, not to say that we want him
39:25to be, you know, haphazard with it. But he was giving Whitehouse a chance.
39:29That felt like, you know, the case. You're not throwing the ball very deep.
39:34If Malik Neighbors has five grabs for 26 yards, I mean, another stinker from the Giants offense.
39:39And we'll be actually talking about J.J. McCarthy soon.
39:42Could you give us a quick one-two on the Giants?
39:45Because this feels like it's going one or two ways.
39:49I don't know if there's going to be a middle ground here, right?
39:53Jameis ascends and takes the Giants with him. Or it's a wrap for Big Blue.
39:58Ooh, this offense looks really terrible outside of Scadabo.
40:01I think you've got to start Neighbors just for name value.
40:04But I'm very worried about the Giants. Yeah, I did say last week that this is part of the Jameis Winston experience.
40:11Everybody remembers the glowing 400-plus yard, four-touchdown games. But there are just as many of these games in his back catalog.
40:18I will give him a slight pass because it was a downpour situation in last week's game.
40:24We could maybe get the reinvigorated Jameis Winston experience.
40:27But he spent a lot of time on TV this summer.
40:30I don't know that he's as focused on being a starting quarterback as he once was.
40:35I agree. Start Neighbors. Start Cam Scadabo. Keep an eye out for Isaiah Likely to do something to show some signs of life.
40:43Otherwise, we might be panicking on him. Yeah, I mean, at the very least, I mentioned consolidation.
40:48We like that, though. We like a little more production.
40:52So it sounds like we're starting Neighbors one more time.
40:55We're starting Likely one more time because it's really kind of a soft matchup.
40:59I mean, in a different, you know, plane of the multiverse, we're really very excited about this one.
41:05Arizona's allowing six and a half yards of play.
41:08They're bottom five in EPA for play. They're allowing almost 40 yards of drive.
41:13They're bottom three in three and outs. But the way Winston is playing, it just looks really ugly.
41:19Last note, because we were trying to mention some of the ads.
41:23I know there's a lot of first-come, first-served people scrambling.
41:26I think Najee Harris looks like he's pretty much secured the RB2 role.
41:30Again, it's not great, but it is something. You know, he had nine for 52 against a tough Tennessee front seven.
41:37So if something were to happen to Scadaboo, his style of play kind of lends itself to that.
41:43I don't think Harris should be floating around on the wave of wire.
41:47Let's try and squeeze one more in before the whistle.
41:50Another one. And this one should be entirely more exciting than I feel about it.
41:55I'm getting really old. It's the one and two Rams.
41:58They're three-point favorites on the road against Philly. This Philly team, I've been calling a Fugazi for a couple weeks now at this point.
42:06It doesn't look good. I think maybe, at least I owe Petulo an apology because we were blaming him, thinking that Sean
42:13Mannion was going to come in and save the day.
42:16Philly just doesn't look good. They don't look aggressive.
42:19And now Devonta Smith looks like he could be out for multiple weeks.
42:24I think the inevitable boost to Dontavian Wicks makes him a must start.
42:28But without Goddard, it's been Johnny Mutt and Zach Ertz.
42:31And then the Makai Lemon stuff, I feel like you have to start him for use volume alone.
42:37But it's been really brutal for him. They're having trouble getting him targets on the positive side of the line of scrimmage.
42:44Rams have Nakua playing. They're very consolidated. All the tight ends are hurt.
42:48So I think you roll with Higby because it looks like Parkinson and Ferguson are going to be down.
42:55So the Rams pretty easy to digest. Could you help me or us try to make some sense of Philly?
43:01And I know it sounds silly, but we're starting Jalen Hurts at least, right?
43:06Yeah, I'm still fine starting Jalen Hurts. And a couple of quick notes just about the Rams.
43:11Devonta Adams, Puka Nakua with this situation. I don't know that either of them are going to be elite for you this week.
43:19I think both could honestly fall into like that mid-range wide receiver too.
43:23Because we don't know if Puka is really truly healthy or not.
43:27Like I think they could both be top 20 options, but not like top 10 for either of them this week.
43:34Just based on the decoy potential of Puka Nakua.
43:36I absolutely love Tyler Higby. Start Kyron Williams. If we're talking about the Eagles, yes, Dontavian Wicks could legitimately have a career game.
43:44I think he's going to have to. Like what puts the remaining Eagles, the guys who are still healthy in a good spot is game script.
43:52Because like it or not, Jalen Hurts is just going to have to sling it.
43:57And it might be to his discomfort a little bit.
44:01But Dontavian Wicks and Makai Lemon are going to have to be some sort of threat.
44:06And that starts with Jalen Hurts making them into some sort of threat by actually throwing to the middle of the field a little bit more for once.
44:15That would be great. And I think you're going to have to start dumping off to Saquon Barkley because two targets per game, it's not enough.
44:23It's not going to cut it for Saquon Barkley.
44:26So if he does not see an increase in targets this week with Devontae Smith out, I'm looking to try to trade
44:33Saquon Barkley in my leagues based on his name value.
44:37Wow, that's tough. And I think you'll get a buyer.
44:40I was watching the tape. I thought he looked pretty sharp.
44:43I thought he looked quick, getting the edge a few times.
44:47But yeah, just the structure of the offense doesn't look right.
44:51It doesn't look right. We mentioned lacking a vertical threat.
44:54You know, kind of sinking the Patriots. And maybe there's a bit of that going on here also.
45:00Rams defense has, like, quote-unquote, they played well against the pass.
45:03You know, it was just all the totals are really good.
45:075.2 YPA allowed, below 10 yards per section. A lot of really nice benchmarks.
45:11But they don't create a lot of pressure. And I think that's when Philadelphia does kind of succeed, right?
45:18I have my criticisms of Jalen Hurts. But at the very least, when he's given time, you know, then you at least
45:25allow him that avenue to kind of flush out.
45:28The Makai Lemon stuff is really kind of driving me up the wall.
45:32I mentioned Johnny Munt. I mean, here's your stat of the day, and not a good one.
45:37Makai Lemon threw 88 rounds. He's out there playing, Jake.
45:4129 rounds a game. He's playing. He has the same fantasy points per route as Johnny Munt at .12.
45:47I mean, this is – That's basically mine. Yeah, it's a hair higher than yours.
45:52And when you're talking about that number, that's at the bottom.
45:55So that's our whistle. Marching band heading out here.
45:58That's a wrap for the first half of the Week 4 Fantasy Football Weekly Show with Jake and John.
46:04We'll be back in just a minute to tackle the back half of this Week 4 sleep.
46:10Fantasy football already has us watching everything. Then you make your picks on Underdog, and somehow every detail matters even more.
46:17Who's active? What's the weather? Why does this guy only have two targets?
46:21Now you're yelling, Get him the ball! That's the sweat.
46:24Download Underdog to play Keep Your Million. Start with a million dollars, make it through all 20 picks, and walk away with whatever's left.
46:32Put all that football knowledge to work. Underdog. Unleash your dog.
46:36Trading involves risk, including total loss on positions. Content is promotional and not a recommendation to trade.
46:41Promotion issued by affiliate. That music can only mean one thing.
46:45We're back to kick off the second half here of Fantasy Football Weekly, Week 4 edition, with Jake and John.
46:51Jake, we're starting off. It's a battle of the Bays.
46:54Green versus Tampa. Green Bay, who I was very high on and I know you love very much.
47:00Yeah. Yeah, I'm making funny faces here for the radio crowd.
47:04Packers, three and a half point favorites on the road, which sounds good at first until you realize Tampa, without Baker Mayfield,
47:11which by the way, how bad must his injury be if he's missing a game?
47:16They're going to turn to, right, six-year college player, UDFA Jalen Daniels.
47:20Daniels, I'm not sure who's getting the bigger condemnation here.
47:23Generally, debuting QBs without draft capital are not going to be just three and a half point dogs for a winless team, mind you.
47:31Jake, you're the resident prospect around here. You have anything to talk about with Daniels before I go on an absolute tirade
47:38about the state of the Green Bay Packer run game?
47:41I mean, it is bad. There's bad, worse, and then there's a gap, maybe two, and then the Packers run game.
47:48Take it away on Daniels first, please. Well, yeah, I'll let you repeat the things that I shout at the TV about the running back situation.
47:57But when talking about Jalen Daniels, college veteran Jalen Daniels, you mentioned six years for Kansas.
48:02What I liked about him is what I hate about watching the Packers defense, which is his dual threat ability.
48:08And I don't think that he's actually a terrible, like if you play in super flex leagues where you can start two
48:15quarterbacks, I don't think he's a bad play at all this week against the Packers defense that gets easily flustered by quarterbacks
48:23of his nature, especially when they don't have any real game tape on him.
48:27And yeah, you can go back to college, but it's not going to be the same thing as what he'll do with Tampa Bay.
48:35But I think also the feather in the cap, if you can call it that for Daniels, is that I don't think
48:42he's that much of a downgrade from where Baker Mayfield has been so far this year.
48:47Like when we look at the pass catchers and you say, can I start a Mecca Buka?
48:53Can I start Godwin? Can I start Bucky Irving?
48:56Whatever. I don't think that the drop off is going to be that significant, which is a terrible thing to say about
49:03Baker Mayfield, who's had the fourth highest bad throw percentage, the fourth lowest touchdown percentage, the fifth lowest passer rating.
49:09I think that Daniels with his rushing ability, and if they're smart with doing some play action stuff, just letting him roll
49:17out of the pocket and see what's what with his feet.
49:20I think that he can actually keep things interesting for their offense.
49:24So wherever you were starting your offensive pieces for Tampa Bay last week, I would say I'm not going to move off
49:31of them just because of the QB switch. All right.
49:34You want to give him one more week? And I think that's, I think that's fair.
49:40One thing that stuck out to me, and I'm not sure it's quite actionable yet, but it is definitely worth noticing.
49:46Bucky Irving, who was really assuming his, you know, rookie season bell cow RB1 role and doing a fantastic job at it,
49:54mind you, blew a pass protection and they benched him for Kenny Gainwell.
49:58Now, a lot of times, and this is something you were talking about either last week or the week before, how there
50:05isn't always kind of carry over with that stuff.
50:08So I wouldn't overreact. But Gainwell, who shouldn't have been sitting on waivers in the first place, has been getting dropped because
50:15the situation there has just been getting so bad.
50:18But I think he should be rostered. I wonder if maybe it hurts Bucky a little bit.
50:23Again, the RB scenario is just so bad that I think you have to start him.
50:29You know, he's had 77% of the touch share.
50:32And even if you give up a little bit of that on an offense, it isn't great.
50:37It's still probably better than, you know, any of the other guys you might be adding.
50:42I doubt you could do better than Bucky. So this one, okay, fair enough.
50:47The Packers defense that hasn't been good, really struggling to get pressures and tackle.
50:51Maybe Daniels keeps Tampa afloat. That could be interesting.
50:54Again, it's what we want for fantasy. Over to the green and yellow cheese-scented elephant in the room.
51:00Jake, my NFL database goes back to the turn of the century, right?
51:04So I've got 26 years, 25.2 years worth of data.
51:08This Green Bay Packer run game is the worst in history.
51:11I say that, like, unironically and without exaggeration. They're averaging less than 50 rushing yards a game.
51:17They are dead last in EPA per rush, yards per rush at three, yards after contact per rush at two, rush success rate.
51:24I'm sorry. The Dolphins are actually worse by a tick.
51:28But the Packers are also the only team in the league right now that has neither a 20-yard carry nor a rushing touchdown.
51:35We're hitting, like, Jets interception levels from last year.
51:38We're almost bordering on the realm of ridiculous at this point.
51:42I mean, something's got to give its movable force and stoppable object.
51:45I think, and I was talking about this on my own show, that I wouldn't have been surprised if the Packers just outright abandoned the run.
51:54Marshawn Lloyd is becoming a really difficult start in fantasy.
51:57I like Caleb Johnson. I think he's a really difficult start.
52:01I guess you hold him for now. So before I go any further, I think the pass game for Green Bay should be good.
52:09Tampa's a notorious pass funnel. So it's wheels up for Watson, wheels up for Golden.
52:13I'm even sending out the klaxon call for my guy Sky Moore, who got seven targets from the slot.
52:20I think he could just be a good floor flex play.
52:23But other than that, I'm really disinterested. Could you shed some light on the Packers running back room?
52:29You're watching it a little bit more intently than most of us.
52:33I mean, I'm still watching it behind, you know, partially closed eyes and screams.
52:37But what I will say is that Caleb Johnson, if there's going to be a future with an improved offensive line, because
52:45the Packers have brought in every scrap free agent veteran that's out there to fill these gaps on the offensive line.
52:51And if any of it can work, then the one guy that I would like to see get more opportunity is Caleb
52:59Johnson, because I do think that he's better. So I'm going to go ahead and say, hold on to Caleb Johnson if
53:06you have the room to do so. But yeah, I'm not starting any of these guys.
53:11I would actually consider Tucker Craft on the off chance that one of these new offensive linemen gets in there and he
53:18doesn't have to stay in and block so much, which was the issue at least last week.
53:24Yeah, I still love me some Tucker Craft. I've always been into those like Yankee deep cut coming, like the Paul O'Neill kind of warrior types.
53:32Guys that, listen, you can say what you want about them.
53:36They definitely care. Craft was beating himself up about a critical drop.
53:40And I'm not saying I want guys like, you know, punching the wall or anything, but I think he's going to be fine.
53:47You know, he's run eight routes. So he's kind of reassumed a full-time role.
53:52Target per route rate is bordering on 20, the yard per route.
53:55He's not really there again. We've had some off-target throws.
53:59We've had a couple drops. I do think that will turn around, especially if Green Bay, you know, decides they just want to abandon the run altogether.
54:07And, unfortunately, I always tell my readers that also, I think, as much as we love the idea of, you know, pure
54:15pass game, you need some semblance of a run game just to sustain drives, to keep the defense honest.
54:21But, again, if they're going to really be focusing on Golden and or Watson, who have both been objectively correct answers, I really like the Sky Moore pick.
54:30I really do. I think you have to focus on those three guys so intently that Moore could be running around free.
54:37He was doing that. And he almost had, like, a big game last week.
54:42So leave the line on for Sky Moore. Other than that, it's pretty gross.
54:46Maybe the same thing for John O. Smith if you're absolutely desperate.
54:50All right, let's move on to the next one.
54:53That one just kind of killed me. It's Miami Dolphins and the Minnesota Vikings in the who cares bowl.
54:59Though Vikings are undefeated, so I went to go watch the Kyler Murray tape back.
55:04Jake, it was so bad. And, unfortunately, I was telling people to get away from Jordan Addison.
55:10That was a wrong answer. Justin Jefferson went down, and Addison is, like, the clear number one.
55:15Aside from Aaron Jones and Jordan Addison, is there anyone else in this game, including Dolphins, that you want to start?
55:22Malik Washington's interesting with the new role. Devin Achan is down, and Malik even getting some kind of, you know, built-in running game stuff.
55:30But, man, that Minnesota defense is making a career.
55:33Brian Flores, you know, makes his bones driving opposing quarterbacks out of their mind.
55:37Do we want anything to do with this game?
55:40I mean, the big news, of course, Caleb Douglas is out.
55:44No. I mean, he is. But the big news, with Justin Jefferson out, the thing with Kyler Murray has always been his
55:51propensity for hyper-targeting whoever his number one is. So that is Jordan Addison.
55:55Without a doubt. That was shown last week. There's room for a second guy, potentially.
56:00Like, yes, Aaron Jones in your lineup. 20-plus touches each of the last two games.
56:05We're partying like it's 2019 with Aaron Jones, and that's great.
56:08But, like, can I start TJ Hawkinson? Hypothetically, you would want to.
56:12He's running the third-most routes behind Jefferson and Addison.
56:15He's barely behind Addison in targets per route. He's the only other Viking besides Jefferson to see an end zone target.
56:22And yet, with Kyler Murray starting, I go, I guess if I have to, if I really have to, I can start TJ Hawkinson.
56:30But we've already talked about a handful of guys in this show that I would much rather start over Hawkinson.
56:36And we're going to talk about even more that I'd rather start over him, including, frankly, on the Dolphins' side of the ball.
56:44Because with Caleb Douglas out, there's a pretty clear, consolidated structure there.
56:48You've got Malik Washington, who offers the safe floor.
56:51You've got Chris Bell, who you can toss into your flex for the upside chasers that are out there.
56:57And again, if you're desperate at tight end, Greg Dulcich finally showed something.
57:01With Caleb Douglas out again, he will be forced to show something more against this defense.
57:06And it might be the one area of the Vikings defense you can, you can maybe exploit if that's even a thing.
57:13But yeah, it's not, it's not good, John. Yeah, agreed.
57:17I like to call out for Chris Bell. Sometimes we just have to keep our focus downrange, where even if you're not
57:24starting him, and I would not be starting him, I think he could be a decent stash.
57:29I hope this doesn't feel like take lock, because I was admittedly, you know, higher on the Dolphins than most people, and
57:37maybe even than I should have been. But I don't think we should discount the, you know, non-zero chance of growth, right?
57:44These things happen. And Malik Willis actually has two games this year with a YPA over eight, right?
57:50There is some potential there. He's just been taking too many sacks.
57:53In the last game, we saw him turn some of those sacks into rushes, right?
57:58He had the nine for 56, which is exactly what we're looking for.
58:03And Miami was representative against the Chiefs that some people thought they were going to, you know, have the blows door by.
58:10So I'm keeping the light on for the Dolphins.
58:13I just don't think this is it. Flores right now is like dialing up pressures.
58:18I think it's more than double the rate than anyone else in the league.
58:22So I think Minnesota does get it done. However, for our spread people out there, I don't think they get it done by double digits.
58:30And if the Dolphins were going to win a game, this could be it.
58:35Just because, again, I think the Minnesota offense is very, very flawed.
58:39I think they're very one-dimensional. And I'm not sure how many 25-punch games you're going to be able to squeeze from the husk of Aaron Jones.
58:47You know what I mean? All right. We got one more.
58:51Let's go Chiefs and Raiders. Wow. Now, if you would have told me that the Raiders would be one of the last
58:58standing, you know, half of a undefeated matchup, I probably would have been a little bit surprised.
59:03I thought you hit your head on something, honestly.
59:06Me too, man. Hey, shout out the old men.
59:09Let's go Kirk O'Chain's doing this thing for the Raiders.
59:12Although this is really a testament, I believe, to Clint Kubiak, right?
59:16Building a system to keep the trains on schedule.
59:19And I think he made one move that I really wanted to highlight.
59:24Because the Raiders, again, it's a very consolidated room.
59:26And returning Brock Bowers, he's like a legit wide receiver one.
59:30What Kubiak did, Jake, I don't know if you noticed this.
59:34They almost ran exclusively in 12 personnel. Meaning Kubiak understood the wide receiver talent is not really there.
59:39Where his second or third best pass catcher, at the worst case, is Michael Mayer, who's still an every down player.
59:46He should not be available. And I think he's a weekly fantasy play.
59:50I think he should be a flex play over, you know, a lot of, like, wide receiver fives that are getting that honor.
59:58So, talk to me about, you know, Chiefs, Raiders, whatever you like in this one.
60:03Chiefs have been pretty solid. I want to hat tip you for the Kelsey thing.
60:08Preseason, you were trying to nudge me to be more into Travis Kelsey and his role.
60:13And, yo, man, you know, shedding that wedding weight.
60:16It's been working. He looks good out there. I mean, it really is a testament to Eric Bien-Ami.
60:22That was the big thing was just I couldn't wait to see Eric Bien-Ami get his hands on this offense again.
60:29Because that was the last time that we saw him, or excuse me, that we saw the offense for the Chiefs look inspiring.
60:36Even if you, you know, hated seeing your team go against them, you liked what they did for fantasy.
60:42Obviously, Mahomes, Kelsey, Kenneth Walker, it's all good, right?
60:45But Rasheed Rice is the guy that I want to talk to just real quick.
60:50Because last week, he was third on the team in Snapshare, second in routes, first in targets.
60:56And it's all around the best performance that he's had all year.
60:59And fantasy managers still only walked away with 16 PPR points.
61:03I just do not believe that Rasheed Rice is a wide receiver one in fantasy.
61:08I think that he is going to be a low-end wide receiver two most weeks.
61:13Because I don't think that you can bank anywhere near consistently on touchdowns.
61:17Like, you can sometimes do that to excuse bad underlying metrics and say, yeah, but if they get a touchdown this week, I'm fine.
61:25I think the odds of him getting a touchdown most weeks are very slim.
61:29Because he's just not looked at in the end zone.
61:33So, if you can trade away Rasheed Rice to somebody in your league based on last week's performance, I would personally do that.
61:40Now... Yeah, great. Oh, sorry. Well, I would just say, I was going to ask you, because you were even lower on
61:47Rasheed Rice than I was coming into the season.
61:50That did not turn you around then last week, I assume.
61:54Oh, not a chance. I'm going to accuse you of reading my work, because that was really boldened.
62:00And the Chiefs write-up was that I have Rasheed Rice as a very clear sell right now.
62:05Get out while you can. Pitch the Mahomes fantasy points.
62:08Pitch the Rice targets and everything. And just get him off your team.
62:13Because I think we've seen... You know, I think we've seen the top.
62:17All right, Jake. That was really good. We're going to be back in just a minute.
62:22We've got a couple games. Chargers and Seahawks. Looks like my guy, Jadarian Price, is out.
62:27And then we're going to do Broncos 49ers. That one's really exciting before we dive into the primetime games.
62:33It's Jake. It's John. It's Fantasy Football Weekly. Week 4, game-by-game breakdowns.
62:37Fantasy football players are completely rational. At least until kickoff.
62:41Then suddenly you're tracking a backup tight end because you need 12 more yards.
62:45How many targets does he have? How many routes?
62:48Just get in the ball! That's fantasy football. With $1 million, make it through all 20 picks and walk away with whatever's left underdog.
62:56Unleash your dog. Trading involves risk, including total loss in positions.
62:59Content is promotional and not a recommendation to trade.
63:02Terms apply. Promotion issued by affiliate. All right, here we go.
63:06Just four games left as we make our way through the Week 4 NFL Slate with Jake Trowbridge.
63:12John Laghezza here. Make sure you're checking out Matthew Berry's Fantasy Life.
63:16Lots of goodies there. The game model, utilization score, my write-ups, tons of really great stuff.
63:21Starts and sits. All the dynasty stuff with our guy Jake.
63:24All right, Mr. Jake. Ay-yi-yi. When you hear the somber tones, right?
63:28Sombber tones means we're getting ready to talk about the Chargers.
63:32A team I was so excited for. And I wasn't the only one.
63:36But I have to take the L for love.
63:39I was so excited for the prospect of the Chargers getting supercharged.
63:43Oh! With Mike McDaniel. And, you know, healthy offensive line.
63:46And that just hasn't happened. I'm not sure there's been a bigger disappointment.
63:50Chargers are still winless. They're on the road in the PNW to face the Seahawks in a...
63:56Who are in a get-right spot. Because they just lost to the Commanders.
64:00Which was kind of a shock. Seahawks are a touchdown favorite at home.
64:0442.5 point total. I mentioned Jadarian Price being out before we move on.
64:09That Seattle running back room is a disaster. So I definitely would like a name if you've got one.
64:15But more importantly... Can you go in your bag for a ray of sunshine on the Chargers?
64:20I don't want to give up hope yet. It seems too early with so many moving pieces.
64:26I mean, it does. Okay, I want to be sunshine guy.
64:29So I won't say that last week... Come on here and said...
64:33If Justin Herbert doesn't perform against the Bills... I think he's a drop candidate.
64:38I'm not going to say that. I'm not going to say that the Chargers were...
64:43You know, gifting five turnovers to their offense. And that the offense turned those five turnovers into one touchdown.
64:49On a shovel pass to Keaton Mitchell. I won't say that either.
64:53I won't say that whatever Mike McDaniel is trying to do in Los Angeles...
64:57Just straight up isn't working. And that the upcoming schedule of Seattle, Denver, Kansas City...
65:02And the Rams and Texans look terrifying. I'm not going to say any of that, John.
65:07Because I'm going to be sunshiny here today. So what I will say...
65:12Is that Ladd McConkie... When he is healthy... Is very good at separating from defenders.
65:17And that hypothetically... If a quarterback was given any amount of reasonable time to throw the ball...
65:22Ladd McConkie would look very, very good for fantasy.
65:25So I'm not giving up on Ladd. And I'm actually excited to see that Trey Harris is getting more involved in that offense.
65:32Because he should have leapfrogged Quinton Johnston forever ago.
65:35Quinton Johnston should not be a thing. The Chargers are destined and desperate to make him a thing.
65:41So whenever Trey Harris does leapfrog him officially... You'll be very glad that you have him stashed on your bench.
65:48So I would do that if he's somehow out there.
65:51Outside of that... I don't know what to tell you.
65:54Oh, Murray and Hampton. Just... You feel bad. Because he's a good running back.
65:59If you watch him play, he's still a good running back.
66:02But I don't know any running back who's O-line proof.
66:06You know? So I'm... I don't know if you can trade him, John.
66:10Like in your leagues right now. You kind of just have to roll him out there.
66:15And be happy that you get RB two weeks.
66:18I guess. Yeah. Hampton is losing work to Keith Mitchell.
66:21He is not catching any passes. Or being targeted.
66:24And he's putting the ball on the ground. Or a bad team.
66:28And things are starting to spiral a little bit.
66:31And you mentioned the schedule. We don't make it.
66:34But they're just not going to get any relief.
66:37And it feels like... Again, not to make excuses for them.
66:40But it does kind of feel like... Man, they just had one soft landing spot.
66:45Where they could get stuff on track. And operate.
66:48Get some confidence going. Then, you know, maybe that could do it.
66:52But... Though I... Gotta shout out the defense. They played really well last week.
66:57They played good enough to beat a very good Buffalo team.
67:00Just the offense was terrible. I actually made a mistake.
67:04I misquoted. And I had said it was QJ that got hit by that snap.
67:08It was your guy, Trey Harris. Who, to me, is a must-add.
67:12Lad McConkie got downgraded to DNP during the week with a foot.
67:16Our wonderful producer let us know that he did return to practice today.
67:20But that doesn't change the fact. There were a couple games in.
67:24McConkie is just missing games. Missing quarters. In the tent.
67:28Missing practice. It almost feels inevitable that he's not going to close out the season on the field.
67:33And I think that would make Trey Harris the number one wideout.
67:37Now, to Seattle and the defense. And I think another great call by you from McConkie, who is a legit excellent player.
67:44Seattle lost because they were a little stubborn in their approach last week.
67:49They're very much locked into this, like, all preventative, all cover six zone type of thing.
67:54And it can work because they have, you know, a lot of playmakers out there.
67:59In the front seven, Ernest Jones. And in the secondary between Witherspoon and Emmon Worry and Julian Love.
68:05These guys are legit playmakers. That said, I think they could stand to maybe man up a little bit more.
68:11And the guy that would beat them in the zone would be McConkie, right?
68:16We saw that with Washington. All they were doing was running constant crossers.
68:20There was just crossing everywhere where Diggs excels. And even a guy like De'Ami Brown.
68:25So, if the Chargers are going to pull off the miracle, that's going to be how it happens.
68:31Though also it would be the Seattle run game or lack thereof.
68:35Without price, Jake, before we move on. Could you put a name on anybody?
68:39I don't see people giving love to Emmanuel Wilson.
68:42But it just doesn't feel like there's any explosivity left here.
68:46Maybe Wilson with the base work. Holani to catch a few balls.
68:50Would you start anybody? Both neither or anything in between?
68:53I mean, I know people right now, if you're just hearing this, hopefully you've already seen the news and you went out
69:00to your waiver wires to grab one of these guys.
69:03But Emmanuel Wilson, he looked fine in week two.
69:06But he certainly didn't look inspiring. And it certainly doesn't look like somebody that is going to get a lot of targets.
69:13That's going to be Holani. So, this is going to be really split up between Holani and Wilson.
69:19I would say, based on what I perceive the game script to be, I would much rather start George Holani.
69:26Because that's a guy who is going to see targets.
69:29He got something like 50 yards, I want to say, close to it at least last week.
69:34Just in receiving. That's going to be something that they'll have to explore this week, I think.
69:40Because the Chargers defense, again, is good. The Chargers defense is good.
69:44The Chargers are not the problem in that respect.
69:47So, I would much rather take... Because outside of JSN, we've talked about this before.
69:52Although, excellent call out on A.J. Barner last week by you, John.
69:56Because he did look great and certainly delivered for fantasy.
69:59But I don't know that I trust any second pass catcher implicitly on the Seahawks right now.
70:04So, why not George Holani, is my thought. Yeah, I think I agree with you there.
70:09Again, Barner... And not to, like, overshoot what he is.
70:13But he fits that bin of flex-worthy guys that I think is better than a lot of wide receiver sixes.
70:19I think people just get locked into the position and feel like, I can't start a tight end at flex.
70:26It feels like surrendering. But, I mean, Barner is probably the second pass catcher.
70:30And he's even gotten some goal line work. Which I think is a huge boost for any tight end.
70:36Right? If you can get a tush-push, that's... Gosh, you're pretty much a tight end one.
70:42A back-end tight end one. Just that one play alone.
70:45Speaking of goal line work, that's pretty much all gone to Wilson while he's playing.
70:50So, yeah. I don't think it's very exciting at all.
70:53I think it's Wilson for baseline and goal to go.
70:56And Helani for the rest of it. But, again, if you're in PPR, he's probably the higher floor.
71:02I guess Wilson has a higher ceiling. Because, theoretically, anyone could break a long run.
71:07But there is just not much. Like, legit. There is just not much to speak of here.
71:13Helani's at 3.5 yards per attempt. Wilson is at 3.4.
71:16I mean, you're getting nothing after contact. In fact, neither one of them has been able to crack two and a half
71:23yards at the contact for rush, which is usually like a benchmark.
71:27And there's just no explosivity here. Positive EPA. Just, it's really bad.
71:31So, yeah. It's all JSN. He's the man. Start him, you know, every day, twice on Sunday.
71:36Three times if your league settings will allow you.
71:39But other than that, it's pretty ugly. And the Chargers, yeah, it's McConkie.
71:43I think you start Hampton because you have to.
71:46But the rest of them, it's fine if you go Missouri, as I say, once a show.
71:52And make them kind of show you first. All right, next one.
71:56This should be exciting. I think I am actually.
71:59I'm going to get excited. Be excited. Be excited.
72:02Yeah, Denver Broncos. 2-1 on the road. Two and a half point underdogs to the 49ers who just, gosh, it seems like
72:09they're getting stronger with every injury somehow. I mean, yeah, you take your substation jokes and jam them because the 49ers and
72:16Kyle Shanahan are just so far in their bag.
72:19I mean, they are lapping the league right now.
72:22They're over seven and a quarter yards per play.
72:25Their success rate is near 60%. Their EPA per play is almost at a third, meaning they are good for a third of a point on the scoreboard.
72:34Every time they run an offensive play, it is outrageous.
72:37Got to keep an eye on my guy, Mike Evans, who also has been doing the blue tent thing constantly.
72:44He keeps insisting that he's going to tough it out, but he's DNP back-to-back.
72:48So keep an eye on that. Broncos. I don't know, man.
72:52The offense is worrying me. I've been off of Sutton.
72:55I'm worried about Knicks because he's not running at all.
72:58Jonah Coleman is down, so I guess you could start the running backs.
73:02Waddle's either been hit or miss. There's a lot of mixed signals for the Broncos.
73:07I'm not very much into Denver. Do you have anything that you're really into in this game?
73:13I mean, besides the obvious on the San Fran side.
73:16Damn it, John. We were going to get excited about this one, remember?
73:20Remember? That was me being excited. When you're old, that is me being...
73:25I have to go sit down now. I will say, I mean, at least Jalen Waddle practicing, that's good.
73:31Mike Evans, a game-time decision, never a good thing.
73:34Jalen Waddle, though, truly maybe the most horrendous start to a season that you could have because he comes out and does
73:41two yards in his first game, so then folks bench him.
73:44And then he goes off for 138 yards, and so then you want to start him.
73:50And then he puts up 12 receiving yards. And now this week he was even seen in a walking boot, and that got people scared.
73:58And supposedly he's okay and probably going to play, but I don't know how you feel comfortable starting Waddle, truly, and it's not his fault.
74:06So it is Bo Nix. Bo Nix has not been accurate whatsoever.
74:10His on-target throw percentage is only higher than Justin Herbert and Jameis Winston, two quarterbacks who we are not inspired by right now.
74:17So Waddle could do everything right against the Seattle defense, which plays very tough, but he could still walk away with only
74:24a handful of yards because his quarterback just can't do anything.
74:28So I'm actually saying start any Broncos player this week at your own risk.
74:33I get RJ Harvey, kinda. I kind of understand that, but I'm not going out and starting Pat Bryant.
74:39I'm not starting Cortland Sutton. Debo Samuel kind of feels like the only, besides CMC and George Kittle, and Brock Purdy, feels
74:46like the only smash that maybe isn't totally obvious to people right now.
74:50Like Debo Samuel is the guy that I need in my lineup this week.
74:55Do you feel the same? Absolutely. One million percent.
74:58One million percent. Now, the only other kind of alert that I was putting out, because I was getting a lot of
75:05questions about, should I roster Jordan Watkins, who ended up going two for 60 after Evans went down?
75:11He only ran a quarter of the routes. One of them was a decent play.
75:15The other one was a total busted coverage. He was just kind of floating around all by himself.
75:21The player that was playing every down was Kaderil Hodge, but he didn't even earn a target.
75:27So we just may get even more consolidation around Kittle, who looks, gosh, all of a sudden, Jake, Achilles surgeries are like bullish.
75:34Nothing. I mean, I know for us, us injury pessimists, we are down bad, my friend.
75:39We are down very bad. But Kittle, you're rolling with, I think if Evan starts, I think you rolled him because he
75:47seems to get a touchdown every game before he leaves.
75:50But I think I'm with you on the Denver side.
75:53And that's one of the more concerning things. Outside of Waddle, who I guess you're starting for the draft capital, I'd be
76:00fine if you legit made me any kind of argument to sit every one of them.
76:05Yeah, I know you feel forced to start the running backs, and I get that part.
76:11But you don't want to if you don't have to.
76:14And let's say you're in like a shallower league, I would have no problem looking for other guys.
76:20Really snap call before we take our next break.
76:23Okay, Braylon Allen or the Denver running backs? Ugh.
76:26Oh, God. That's the answer. That was the answer.
76:29I would lean towards Braylon Allen because I actually think there's more touchdown opportunity for him.
76:34Yep, survey says ding, ding, ding. I think you're going to get more plays with a better share and a better team
76:41total and a better matchup because San France even played defense really well, which kind of surprised me a little bit.
76:48You know, they could probably stand through a little better, maybe forcing a couple more three and outs, but they've been really strong against the pass.
76:56So, yeah, this one just is what it is.
76:59I think San Fran keeps it rolling. I'm surprised to see inside three points at home.
77:04I think San Fran gets it done. All right, let's take our very last break.
77:09We're going to come back with the primetime games.
77:12There's two more on the docket. Lions and Panthers, Falcons and Saints in the NFC South showdown.
77:18When we return and wrap it up, Fantasy Football Weekly, week four with Jake and John.
77:23Fantasy Football already has us watching everything. Then you make your picks on Underdog, and somehow every detail matters even more.
77:30Who's active? What's the weather? Why does this guy only have two targets?
77:34Now you're yelling, get him the ball! That's the sweat.
77:37Download Underdog to play Keep Your Million. Start with a million dollars, make it through all 20 picks, and walk away with whatever's left.
77:45Put all that football knowledge to work. Underdog, unleash your dog.
77:49Trading involves risk, including total loss on positions. Content is promotional and not a recommendation to trade.
77:54Promotion issued by affiliates. All right, final segment coming up.
77:57Fantasy Football Weekly, week four game-by-game breakdown. With Jake and John, make sure you're checking out the Fantasy Life website and all the goodies over there.
78:06You can read some more of our musings. Jake holding down some of the Dynasty stuff.
78:11I've been doing the game-by-game breakdowns and just more than you can handle.
78:15Really love the utilization report. I like that. I like the weighing of the opportunity.
78:20Sometimes I fall into just volume, but, you know, empty calories are going to do it, Jake.
78:26All right, two-minute warning time. Well, not literally, but close enough.
78:29We've got two games left. Primetime games on the docket, which I've really been enjoying this year.
78:35Not like anyone cares, but I feel like we went through a string of bad standalone games.
78:40And this year, it feels like they've really been interesting and exciting.
78:44Speaking of which, Detroit Lions, they are a fantasy dream, right?
78:48Everything fantasy dreams are made of. When you score 30 points a game and you give up 30 points a game, we love everything about it.
78:56They're on the road as three-and-a-half-point favorites against the very surprising Carolina Panthers.
79:00This total is very high at 49. Lots of fireworks being expected.
79:04As always, sorry about that, with the Lions, the major story has to be Jalen Coker for the Panthers.
79:10He was downgraded to DMP during the week, but now they're saying that he could actually play.
79:16I always get a little bit worried. You know, I'm still an injury pessimist, Jake.
79:21So aside from me being rude at that ring, sorry, my kids are very annoying.
79:26They're getting that age where they have cell phones.
79:29I thought that was Jalen Coker calling you and just saying, Hey, man, I'm playing.
79:34I'm fine. I told you I was fine. What are you spreading propaganda about me for?
79:39All right, so Lions three-and-a-half-point favorite against the Panthers.
79:42Really, I think it's a testament to how well the Panthers have played because in preseason, this line was probably a touchdown.
79:49Yeah, I mean, obviously last week, people saw the Panthers come back down to earth a little bit, but everybody's bound to have those games.
79:57I think Bryce Young is still somebody that you should be happy to have on your roster and you should be happy to start.
80:05Frankly, both quarterbacks. We've talked about Bryce Young. People at large have talked about Bryce Young.
80:10No, he's still really talking about Jared Goff and I kind of just feel bad.
80:15He's so consistently underrated, at least from the fantasy sphere.
80:18We're like, Jared Goff, if he is your QB, he's not winning your week probably, but he's so very rarely helping you lose that week.
80:26So I do just want to shout him out.
80:29Get him in your lineup if you want. And also, I just want to point out this one stat that made me smile a little bit.
80:38Jameer Gibbs has more total yards and touchdowns on his team than Amon Ross St.
80:42Brown, Jamison Williams, and Isaac Tesla, the top three wide receivers combined.
80:46So, you know, start Jameer Gibbs. But I did want to get some temperature reading on Jamison Williams because outside of Jalen
80:54Coker, where I feel like if he truly does suit up, and we may not know that until right before the game,
81:01if Coker suits up, I just think his upside is too high for me to want to sit because he's been so
81:08consistent with being such a dominant force. But Jamison Williams has not.
81:12Jamison Williams has not looked anything like the Jamison Williams of old where we might've excused the first game, John.
81:18We might've excused even the second one of like, oh man, he really should have done something in that one.
81:25Three in a row of semi-duds? I don't know that I can excuse that for Jamison Williams because the rest of the offense is still looking so good.
81:34So can you talk me into wanting to start or even hold on to Jamison at this point?
81:40Yes. Yes. Get your shot glasses out. Fire for a shot at Jamison.
81:44We finally get it going this week. And it's really just about the injuries in the Carolina secondary.
81:50There's no starters left. There's just nobody left to speak of.
81:53JC Horn, injured reserve. Also Mike Jackson, injured reserve.
81:56Carolina is really going to struggle with the deep stuff.
82:00I know Jamison has. It's definitely been aggravating. But you know, he's out there and they're doing their thing in scoring points.
82:07I feel like it's only a matter of time.
82:10You know, he's averaging just under six targets a game.
82:13The thing that really stuck out to me was, and again, I don't know how sticky this is.
82:19Yak historically is not sticky. So I think as part of why I think it's gonna be fine.
82:25Jamison Williams has less than half of a yard after the catch perception.
82:29And that's like not a thing. Like that's not even a thing.
82:33There really aren't any other players that have that.
82:36Those are Jason Witten numbers. What are we doing?
82:39Yeah, no kidding. You know who's got that? I'm just scrolling my spreadsheet.
82:43J. Michael Sturvian is even double that. I mean, it's just, it's not a thing.
82:48So I think that that will get turned around because I think the deep shots have even been there.
82:54Jamison has three targets this year, over 20 air yards, and he's caught two of them.
82:59So, you know, a little bit of conversion on a good team.
83:03I'm trying to stay the course. I think Williams could be a really clear buy low candidate, right?
83:09Could easily be one of those guys that you look back on and say, this was great.
83:14Wow, I can't believe we let him go for so cheap on a team, like I mentioned, that's scoring a million points
83:21and giving up a million points at the same time.
83:25I wanted to do one quick shout on Carolina.
83:28In case Coker is down, the name that I had circled was Bryson Tremaine.
83:32You probably know more about him than I do, but it turned out Tremaine not only filled in in every down role,
83:39he led the team in everything, and he was very good.
83:43So I always kind of look to see, I mentioned the etch-a-sketch.
83:47It's not like running backs where, oh, player A out, player B gets opportunities and therefore soaks up those fantasy points.
83:54It doesn't always work that way. But Tremaine was out there.
83:57He went four for 83. He led the way with Ted McMillan and Darren Waller kind of eating up all the attention.
84:04Richard Waller, by the way, should also be started, and he might belong in that flex bin that I was talking about.
84:12So, yeah, give me Tremaine as like a first-come, first-serve ad, just in case.
84:16I think at the very least the Jalen Coker manager, because it's a standalone game and you might need a late replacement
84:23with 85% of the league having already played at that point, is an ad that feels sharp enough, right?
84:29Well, that's exactly what I want to highlight, is only in the instance that you have Coker and you need a replacement,
84:37that's the only time that I want to bring Tremaine in.
84:40It's not that he can't do well. It's just I think it's too unpredictable with him.
84:45And I like that you called out Darren Waller because that's where I would pivot to.
84:51If you have the option between the two and you already have a tight end and you don't need to start him
84:58in your tight end spot, I would rather flex Darren Waller in this particular matchup.
85:03The Lions just can't really do anything with that type of tight end, that pseudo tight end as Darren Waller really is.
85:10Right. So, yeah, and Chuba Hubbard, just keep doing your thing with Chuba.
85:14Started him, obviously, this week as well. Yeah, shout out to the Panthers in that bin with the Cardinals, right, of the
85:21bad teams that are going out there and getting it, man.
85:25Go out there and get it. Dave Canales is, you know, let him go throw the ball.
85:30Try and win. Try and score points. Be aggressive.
85:33Right now, can't believe it. Unbelievably so. Bryce Young leading the league in passing yards.
85:38Unbelievable, man. You know, I think we're going to need to have an offseason conversation about challenging our ranges of outcomes because
85:45that's really kind of been a big thing for me.
85:48I think a lot of people do it. We chop off edges of the bell curve as things that can't happen, but they certainly can.
85:57So let's get into the last one. Monday night, NFC South showdown.
86:00I was – this one turned into some weird, like, apologia for me.
86:05Falcons, they're on the road, two-and-a-half point dogs against the Saints.
86:08Falcons looked reborn with Michael Penix, who was – I don't know what – they gave him Michael's secret sauce from Space
86:15Jam, if you remember, in between the first and second quarter because he was atrocious quarter one.
86:21I think he was two for seven with 22 yards.
86:24Ended up having a wonderful game. Understand the assignment.
86:27Force-feeding Drake London, who looks like he could be the overall wide receiver one, you know, rest of season.
86:33But it was my Saints. Now they're my Saints.
86:36The Saints are my team. I love the Saints.
86:39After the Jets, that's a team I'm rooting for.
86:42I find myself emotionally invested. I love Shuck. I love Olave.
86:46I love Juwan Johnson. But – and as we mentioned with the Packers, and there's a couple other teams – without a
86:53semblance of a run game, the machine is hard to function, right?
86:57It's hard to get it to run smoothly. You need something.
87:00And they just haven't done it. They gave Etienne the bag, replaced him with Kamara.
87:05Healthy scratch for Miller. Now Etienne, excuse me, is down.
87:08And I don't know what we're going to get.
87:11Everyone is chasing Kamara. I've been telling people to go the other way and add Kendra Miller.
87:17I think he's a really interesting first-come, first-serve ad.
87:20Also, Falcon side, again, as consolidated as it goes, I am trying to leave the lineup for Kyle Pitts.
87:26I think he's an interesting buy low. Does he have, like, two fantasy points on the entire year or something like that?
87:33It is just, again, range of outcomes being stretched.
87:36So it feels pretty consolidated. I think you roll with your starters and not get too cute.
87:42What do you think about this one? Yeah. Obviously, yes.
87:45Drake London, Bajon Robinson, these are not people we need to tell you to start.
87:50Chris Olave, we don't have to tell you to start him.
87:53Juwan Johnson. You and I have always differed on Kyle Pitts, and I just tend to believe that Kyle Pitts only functions
88:00as a star tight end when the situation is just right.
88:04Like, he is the fantasy Goldilocks. No London, you mean, right?
88:08No London. London is out, or if there is some other weird situation where he is necessitated, then he can do it.
88:15But otherwise, I just have a hard time believing he will do it.
88:19So for me, I'm certainly not starting Pitts. If you want to hold on to him, I have no issues with that.
88:26But with the backfield in New Orleans, that's where...
88:29And I never want to say I'm excited about an injury, because I'm not.
88:34I'm not excited that Travis Achan got hurt. But he was pretty uninspiring as a running back.
88:39And I wasn't in on him when they made that pickup this offseason.
88:43It just never felt like it was going to gel.
88:47I didn't think he was special. And I felt like they were trying to force things.
88:52I actually think this opens up a path for Kamara to go back to his late season role last year, which was actually pretty effective.
89:00I think that he will be utilized in the passing game.
89:03I think that Kendra Miller should have had a million opportunities by now, and so many coaching staffs.
89:09I don't know if it's something about his character, if it's just he's not a hard enough studier or something.
89:16I don't know what people have against Kendra Miller, because in the few opportunities I've seen him get, he's really delivered.
89:23So I'm with you, John. I think Kendra Miller should not certainly be on waivers.
89:28You don't have to start him this week, but I would above, especially like if you're dealing with this versus the Seahawks
89:35backfield, give me either Kamara or Miller over Emmanuel Wilson and George Helani right now.
89:40I want both of those guys above those other guys.
89:43Yeah, I really like that call. I forgot to mention this one has a 48 and a half point total.
89:49So we are expecting some fireworks. Also probably worth noting Atlanta turning into very much a pass funnel.
89:55The rush defense is like through the roof. I mean, they're leading the league in defensive success rate.
90:01They're allowing fewer than three yards per rush, fewer than two yards after contact rush.
90:06They've yet to allow a 20 yard rush or a rushing touchdown.
90:10That would be the converse of the Green Bay Packers.
90:13So the Saints aren't looking to run. They're looking to throw and I think right, that's we're going to get a bludge.
90:20So I'm actually expecting a ton of fireworks here, which is why, again, I'm kind of leaving one little flickering light on for Kyle Pitts.
90:28Yeah, I think you start, you guys. How about look at Devon Vele?
90:33I get a lot of mixed signals on him.
90:35You know, I don't, I've kind of been attached to him.
90:39I don't think he's a ceiling play by any case, but it feels like the floor is there every single week.
90:46And again, if we're worried about any kind of rushing going on there, you know, Vele's been good.
90:52He had a floor game three for 39. If you give me seven points as a flex guy, I think he's startable.
90:59What do you think about Vele? Yeah, I see a lot of similarities where you're forced to start like a Devon Vele
91:06versus a Malik Washington from the Dolphins. These guys are not going to excite you.
91:11I don't think that you're going to see a hundred yard game or anything close to it from either of them.
91:18But in this game, based on how kind of high scoring we expect it to be, I would rather go Vele over somebody like Washington from the Dolphins.
91:27I think that there's some semblance of a ceiling that isn't there with some of those other guys.
91:33Yeah, I think that's really sharp. I think when we're trying to make these coin flip decisions, lean into the environment, lean into the scenario.
91:41I think sometimes we get, well, Malik Washington is the number one and Vele is the third option.
91:47The third option of a tremendous pie or a giant sheet cake, right, is bigger than a little tart or something.
91:53I don't know. I don't know. You'd think looking at me I'd know more about desserts than I do.
92:00All right, Jake, we made it. 15 games, week four, Fantasy Football Weekly.

92:17We're looking at the data. We're studying the matchup.
92:20We've got to process. And then Sunday starts. I'm not checking my lineup every five minutes.
92:25Of course you are. Suddenly you're watching a backup tight end you barely thought about all week because you need 12 more yards.
92:33Now you know exactly how many targets he has.
92:35You know how many routes he's run. You know where the next red zone possession needs to go.
92:41And when he finally catches the ball, that might be the most important eight-yard gain of your entire afternoon.
92:47That's fantasy football. Every target, every carry, every yard.
