Alec Pierce

PositiveValue49:18

Despite initial injury concerns and a negative reaction to video analysis, the source is back in on Alec Pierce at his current ADP of 135, noting he is a potential top target who could win weeks with high-value touches.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveProjection9:03

Jake Trowbridge and John Laghezza view Amon-Ra St. Brown as a sturdy, reliable pick who wins at all levels of the field. Laghezza notes the Lions' offense could score a record amount of points, making St. Brown a preferred target over Puka Nacua.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveValue20:24

John Laghezza and Jake Trowbridge are pivoting toward Breece Hall as Ashton Genty's injury status creates uncertainty. Hall is moving up draft boards as a more reliable option in the tier-two running back range.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveValue21:58

Jake Trowbridge prefers drafting Derrick Henry over Ashton Genty and Breece Hall. Despite concerns about his pass-catching and age, Henry is viewed as a safer bet because he is currently healthy and faces no competition for touches.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

NegativeInjury50:06

Emeka Egbuka's draft stock has dropped due to a turf toe injury, which is viewed as a season-derailing concern. Despite high expectations for an ascendance similar to JSN, the uncertainty surrounding his health and the team's vague updates make him a risky pick in the fourth round.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveValue75:08

George Kittle is a viable target at his current ADP of 88. While there are injury concerns, he is a reliable producer when healthy, and the team's early international travel schedule will provide clarity on his Week 1 status before drafts conclude.

Insight page

Greg Dulcich

NegativeSleeper47:56

The source suggests drafting Greg Dulcich or another preferred tight end in the final round of drafts as a contingency plan for early-season roster flexibility.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveValue58:47

Jalen Waddle is now preferred over Emeka Egbuka in the current draft range due to the significant injury concerns surrounding Egbuka's turf toe.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury35:56

Jeremiah Love is dealing with a high ankle sprain that puts his Week 1 status in doubt. Jake Trowbridge notes that the injury and the team's ambivalent coaching staff make him a player to avoid at his current third-round ADP.

Insight page
NegativeRole39:13

Despite having a better offensive line, the coaching staff has been ambivalent about Jeremiah Love, and his heavy preseason workload may have been an evaluation period rather than a commitment to him over veterans like James Conner or Tyler Allgeier.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeBust25:28

Jake Trowbridge is fading Malik Nabers due to injury concerns, the Giants' overall team environment, and quarterback uncertainty. While he acknowledges the upside, he prefers other wide receivers like Drake London, AJ Brown, Nico Collins, and Chris Olave in that draft range.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveSleeper17:18

Mike Washington has become a more enticing late-round flyer as the clear backup to Ashton Genty. His ADP has risen, moving him into the 16th round, as he is now viewed as a capable replacement if Genty misses time.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveBreakout25:47

John Laghezza is high on Nico Collins, noting he has a chance to be the team's WR1, especially with the Tee Higgins injury and lack of depth behind him. He ranks Collins ahead of Malik Nabers.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveValue53:18

The source argues that Patrick Mahomes is a value at his current QB15 ADP, suggesting that the return of Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator could restore his explosive fantasy production.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeValue5:53

John Laghezza notes Puka Nacua is dealing with a psoas injury and off-field concerns, but remains a viable WR2 at ADP 5 because the Rams historically hide information. Jake Trowbridge disagrees, preferring Amon-Ra St. Brown due to the injury and off-field risks, and would rather draft him later than at his current high ADP.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeBust33:32

Jake Trowbridge is avoiding Rashee Rice, citing concerns about his talent level and potential health issues. He views Rice as a coin-flip at best and prefers other options in that draft range.

Insight page
NegativeBust54:04

The source expresses skepticism regarding the Kansas City pass-catching core, specifically citing concerns about Rashee Rice's skill set.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveValue33:32

John Laghezza and Jake Trowbridge view Tee Higgins as a strong value. With a healthy Joe Burrow and a consolidated Bengals offense, Higgins is seen as a 'true alpha in a secondary role' who has become a better draft pick as his ADP has fallen.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveValue63:48

Despite a rising ADP into the early 60s, Tucker Kraft remains a valuable tight end target. His ability to break big plays and the thin depth chart in Green Bay suggest he will see significant route participation, which is more important for fantasy than his run-blocking duties.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

PositiveValue40:45

Tyler Allgeier is a strong target for early-season production and a 'smash pick' for flex spots in redraft and eliminator leagues. He consistently boxed out Bijan Robinson for high-value goal-line work, and he is expected to lead the backfield in snaps and workload during the first four weeks.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

NegativeBust54:10

The source is bearish on Xavier Worthy, noting potential concerns about his skill and his recurring shoulder injury.

2:00Your weekly source for the nation's best fantasy speculation and advice.
2:04All right, what's up everybody? And welcome back. We've got two more off-season editions left of Fantasy Football Weekly.
2:11It's approaching. Kickoff is nigh. Welcome. It's your friend and faithful narrator, John Laghezza.
2:16Same handle over on the socials. Hit me up with any questions or comments as always.
2:22My friend and yours, Mr. Jake Trowbridge. Jake, how are you doing as we hit the 11th hour, friend?
2:29I'd be doing so much better if I just stayed off of social media, turned off updates about the NFL on my phone.
2:37If I just buried my head in the sand from now until the start of week one, John, I'd be on cloud nine.
2:45I have the burden of knowledge about some of these players, which, of course, we're going to talk about.
2:52Yeah, knowledge is not always power when there's maybe a bit too much of it and it's unfiltered, right?
2:59I think that's really it. It's this tsunami of unvetted information and then the instant gratification of the world as it kind of is today, right?
3:08Three o'clock in the afternoon, the world's worried about Jamar Chase, quarter to four, not that big of a deal.
3:16Everyone is going to remember where they were when the Aston Genty news hit.
3:21One of the players we'll talk about today, we're going to do, I don't know, what are we doing?
3:27This is a what do we do episode, the choose your own adventure episode.
3:33Because again, things are just moving so fast that we may have had priors and takes that are now shifting because like the grains of time, right?
3:42Things are changing ever so second to one constant in this life.
3:47All right. So before we get too philosophical, let's start at the very, very, very top of boards.
3:53It's Huka Nakua, wide receiver two, ADP five. I had to look this up.
3:58He's suffering from a psoas. I don't know what that was.
4:02It's like a core muscle. He's also just had a lot of weird off field stuff going on.
4:09I think you still take him at wide receiver two because the Rams do this.
4:14They rest everybody. They've never really been interested in showing their hand.
4:18So I don't feel great about the situation, but this also feels like a classic spot of he goes out week one, goes 11 for 137 and two.
4:28And we were all like, oh yeah, Huka Nakua and Matthew Stafford, very good at football.
4:34Yeah. I think, well, first of all, maybe it's the week one questionables.
4:39Maybe that's what we're trying to get to the heart of is how comfortable do you feel drafting and then playing these guys in week one?
4:48And with Puka, especially, you make a very good point.
4:52I think you have to assess each of these situations based on what do their coaches tend to do?
4:59What's their coach speak level like? How full of BS are they?
5:03How reliable are they? And how do they actually sort through these injuries?
5:08With Puka, though, we are on opposing sides of the first round draft quality.
5:13I think of Puka. I said on the Fantasy Life LG show a couple of weeks ago that I thought Nakua's ADP
5:21was just, it was way too high for me considering not only this injury, but as you mentioned, all the other off the field stuff.
5:30And I always have that question of, okay, he's injured now.
5:34Could also something happen midway through the season where he's missing even more time.
5:39So I said back then that I would rather draft Amon Ross St.
5:43Brown above Puka Nakua. And I actually stand by that even firmer now, John.
5:48I'm just, I'm not going to have Nakua because you have to draft him so early.
5:54Yeah, I think that's actually a hot take. Like, I don't think it's crazy because Amon Ross is just so sturdy.
6:02And I think almost he gets a bad rap for being like a slot merchant type where he wins at all levels.
6:10He's very much ingrained into the end zone plan.
6:13Detroit might score a record amount of points this year.
6:16I'm worried the defense isn't good. They're on the fast track.
6:20You got a lot of, there are a lot of green check emojis next to Amon Ross.
6:27Puka. I'm not going to share the pessimism with Puka.
6:30Although I've been hearing people call it this year an idiot tax.
6:34Just meaning like maybe dinging guys, even if it's like three, four or 5%, a quarter here, a quarter there for just whatever may create the issue.
6:44Even if it's not bad behavior. Sometimes the thing that worries me most about Puka is his play style.
6:51It's a very rough game. And if we're looking for volume, you don't need to be searching for unnecessary hits.
6:58A guy that can average 10 targets a game.
7:01That's a lot of car crashes that I'd rather him try to avoid some, but he seems to lower the helmet into
7:09guys much bigger than him, which again is part of the reason we love him, but part of the reason he scares me.
7:18So I'm going to stick with Puka. Although I do want to be very clear.
7:23When I pull the four in one of the very many drafts I've been doing, I am audibly sighing.
7:30Because to me, it feels like a very clear cut 1, 2, 3.
7:35And then we've talked about panic setting in when you don't have a running back.
7:40I'd feel much better if I was really wheels up on a guy like Jamar Chase that I feel fantastic about.
7:48Opposed to a guy like Puka that maybe I would prefer Amon Ra.
7:52But you can get him at 6 or 7, which kind of removes some of the shine off that number 4 pick.
8:00So overall, I really think I am leaning towards you where I would take Puka there, but I just don't love the options.
8:08I found myself with JT and McCaffrey at certain points trying to force that running back into the situation.
8:15It's not great. Speaking of running backs, the supply is dwindling.
8:19I mentioned Ashton Gentty, RB12 now down to ADP19.
8:23The coach speaks that you mentioned. It can't be more frustrating sometimes.
8:27The ankle sprain, which we did manage to get out of them, has been described, quote unquote, as more low than high.
8:35Jake, as non-doctors, what do we make of this?
8:38It's so silly the level to which some coaches and I think just some analysts go to try to find some sort of excuse.
8:47It's not as bad as we think. It's not a high ankle sprain.
8:51It's more of a low ankle sprain. Denny Carter from Blue Sky always says, Oh, it's the lowest ankle sprain you've ever seen.
9:00It's basically touching the ground. That's how low this is because that's how these coaches like to talk about it.
9:07But I think what's weird about Ashton Gentty is that Kubiak isn't spilling the beans.
9:12The head coach is being asked about it as of the time that we're recording.
9:18He hasn't really come out and said much about it.
9:21I will say the initial reports on this were so much worse, Sean.
9:26Like this is why I talk about being weary, about being glued to your social media updates all the time.
9:33Because when the news first broke about this, they were describing the situation like Ashton Gentty's ankle had completely dissolved.
9:40Like it wasn't even on his body anymore. That's how we were talking about this.
9:46Like his career could be over. They were, you know, forming prayer circles and hosting candlelight vigils.
9:52And it was just people were freaking out. And it's clearly not that bad.
9:57But also for somebody who is a little more timid about drafting Ashton Gentty as I was myself, this is just another thing.
10:05We talk about like the compiling of things just to kind of simplify it.
10:10Like, okay, he only kind of had one thing against him, which was he had an upgraded offensive line.
10:17But how good was the offensive line? Well, this is a second thing for Ashton Gentty that makes me pivot off of him.
10:25And I'm sure we'll talk about, you know, other guys going around him.
10:30I will say, as the Mike Washington guy on this podcast, it's made him obviously much more enticing as a later round flyer.
10:38But it just means you're going to have a tougher time getting him to.
10:43Yeah, he's on everybody's radar. Mike Washington is. It's also interesting we were talking off air pretty much just about this how
10:51as players enter the chat, Mike Washington, yeah, was getting drafted in deeper leagues.
10:56But there were a lot of places he wasn't.
11:00And I think there was even uncertainty that it might have been his job.
11:05Now we feel very certain about that. And if he does, maybe he is really explosive.
11:10It could be great. So all of a sudden he skips over rounds, you know, 17, 18, 19, and 20.
11:18And he's automatically in like the 16th and you have to make a decision on him.
11:23So I'm glad you got to that. You did mention one thing I forgot to open up with, which was I wanted
11:31to be offering players whether or not we'd rather go either towards or away from the Q tags that we'd be mentioning.
11:39We did cover Amonra and JSN for Puka. For Jenty, where I'm missing, even though I already have bags packed and I would love to buy low.
11:49Let me add a little more uncertainty because I had one more quote.
11:54I didn't even know if I wanted to read it, but now I have to.
11:59You have to. They remain hopeful he'll be available week one, but there's a chance he won't be ready.
12:06Oh, thanks. Cool. Everybody cool. Clarity. Yeah. So I don't want to keep investing if we're not sure.
12:12And it still could be a multiple week thing and there still could be a lack of impact when he returns.
12:20So like, I'd rather go with a guy like Brees Hall.
12:24Just briefly, do you like Brees Hall over Jenty now?
12:28They're kind of going in a similar spot as Jenty moves down and Brees Hall moving back up.
12:34If not, we have Love down. We're going to talk about him in a minute.
12:39What are you making about this like tier two running back that's going on?
12:44Like the whole situation is getting murkier by the day.
12:48And I feel like this could be very determinative for a lot of leagues and I'm getting skittish on all of them.
12:56Yeah. It's not feeling as good to have, you know, let's say you start your draft with a wide receiver in round
13:04one, and then you're coming back in rounds two and three, adding these running backs.
13:09It doesn't feel as good as it did a few weeks ago.
13:14We talked about Brees Hall a little bit on last week's episode.
13:18And the fact that I was now even drafting Derrick Henry over Brees Hall, I am now drafting Derrick Henry over Ashton Jenty.
13:26Like Chase Brown has, has, is now a slam dunk over Ashton Jenty for me, but even a guy like Derrick Henry
13:34and we have, you know, I'll always concerns about his pass catching ability, which isn't a lot.
13:40And you're still relying on touchdowns for Derrick Henry.
13:44But even with his age, like he doesn't currently have an injury to be concerned about.
13:49There's nobody behind Derrick Henry who's going to siphon touches away.
13:53Anyways, Ashton Jenty has Mike Washington. If they want to play it safe with him for the first few weeks, you know,
14:01they have a capable running back in my view that can step up.
14:06So yeah, I'm, I'm pushing him down quite a bit.

14:29Now that's how you do summer. Exactly. Best switch I ever made.

15:09aceite and something like that Nick each other sports could be the fifth a vibe for also the numbers, so they can
15:17start Beit book and the chief a team loading on Monday there.
15:21I think it has a field line will okay bet heavenly Lambert who looks like Chad Gomez you on Sundayprint.
15:28which is what we think of when we think of Malik Neber as really the first thing.
15:34It was just whether or not he could and would get to that point.
15:40I'm not going to be stubborn if that's going to be the case.
15:44For me, he's right back into the second round.
15:47I have him snuck right behind Nico Collins, who I'm really kind of loving.
15:52I think Nico has a chance to be the wide receiver one almost with the Higgins injury and not much else behind him.
16:01But right after Collins, who is healthy for me, it's Nebers who has a chance to just dominate.
16:07What do you think about Nebers? Again, I missed that third round, fourth round value.
16:13But going in the second, if he's Malik Nebers, he could still pay off.
16:18Where are you on Malik? The problem, I've just constantly been on opposing sides of this entire saga throughout the offseason.
16:25Early on with the infamous softball trot, I was just like, wow.
16:30I mean, he's going in like the fifth round in some of these drafts.
16:35It's just getting kind of crazy. I was like, I mean, I understand you don't want a guy that's a shell of
16:43his former self, but this is a top quality wide receiver and there was still a lot of time left.
16:50So I was smashing the button on round five.
16:53Then he gets into round three and I was like, I could do round three.
16:58Okay. But I'm not going to do round two with Malik Nebers.
17:03So now that he's up there, there are other wide receivers going in his area that don't have not only the injury
17:11concerns of Malik Nebers, but they don't have like the bad vibes of the team.
17:16They don't have the QB injury concerns as well.
17:19Like, again, there's a lot of things in my brain that are working against Malik Nebers.
17:25The Giants need to have like, you remember the picture of Dorian Gray?
17:30Did you ever read that as a young tot in school where there's like a picture in the attic that would basically
17:38absorb all the bad stuff that would happen to people?
17:41And that's how these people, you know, live so fruitfully and healthily is they had this weird, creepy photo that like took all the bad stuff from.
17:51The Giants need to invest in the picture of Dorian Gray.
17:55So much. Yeah. Everybody go read it and then go send that message to the Giants that they need to house one of these.
18:04So I'm just not in on Malik Nebers. If I miss him, it's a lot of like how I feel about CMC.
18:12I understand what I could be missing out. But at his ADP range, the risk is too big for me.
18:19Well, first of all, I think no matter how we kind of slice this up, you're the big winner right now because you predicted it right.
18:28You played the price. You got the better price.
18:31And whether or not fading the new price is wrong, you still have those.
18:36In the best case, right? So in a case where the new second round price is a profit, you really won out back then.
18:45So that's well played by you. Let me ask you, though, could you rank those, you know, second and third round wide receivers for us?
18:54I mentioned Nico, where do you have neighbors? Like so behind Pickens.
18:58How about like those guys? Where are you? Because I think if you're pushing him behind, let's say, a Tet, you're not getting him at all.
19:08But if he's just after like a Pickens, like would you take him early third?
19:13Or you're pretty much outing him altogether. Because once he gets into that kind of those choppy waters near the middle of
19:21the third, I've had trouble saying no. But again, I do understand.
19:25I just I have trouble saying no to the upside.
19:29Yeah, I get still the upside argument. So, no, I'm not writing him off entirely.
19:34If if I'm in my draft and he does fall into the third round, then he's still a consideration.
19:41But the guys that I'm absolutely drafting over him.
19:44Right. Sounds like maybe you would have some questions about some of these guys like Drake London.
19:51Yes, absolutely. Drafting Drake London over him. AJ Brown.
19:54Yes, drafting him. Nico Collins, drafting him. Chris Olave, given the current state of the Saints, you know, with Jordan Tyson and
20:02everybody else who seems to be falling off a cliff there.
20:06Absolutely. Chris Olave. Now, when we get to Rasheed Rice, that's where I start to have some questions.
20:12It's kind of more of a coin flip. But like T Higgins to me, I would rather have over Malik neighbors, which
20:20again just means I'm not going to have Malik neighbors.
20:24Probably. Yeah. Yeah. That's another great call. You give me an idea for maybe doing another kind of polarizing player thing where
20:32T Higgins forever has perpetually been George where George Pickens is right.
20:36Like a true alpha in a secondary role. That's part of a great offense.
20:41So was Dean the second rounder. In fact, if anything's changed for T Higgins, it's probably gotten better.
20:48I mean, the situation is a healthy Joe Burrow post.
20:51He had the preseason stuff last year. We were worried how that would start for him.
20:57Higgins keeps falling. And when you think about how consolidated that bangle offense is and with the per game ceiling on that
21:05team, it's funny you mentioned Higgins because he he should have been a real part of my drafting clan all summer and hasn't been.
21:13And it's not for anything against him. I just, he just would fall behind player A or fall behind player B though.
21:21Rashid Rice was not one of them. I'm not drafting Rice.
21:25I'm worried. Maybe he's not that great at football and maybe he's not 100% healthy.
21:31Again, I like that how it's over to oversimplify, but sometimes that's how you do these things.
21:37Too many things, right? You put the thing in a good bucket.
21:41We put a thing in the bad bucket. Too many things in the bad bucket.
21:47It's easy to say, no, thank you. Next up, a player that I mentioned before, Jeremiah Love, another injury, these high ankle sprains for running backs.
21:56I mean, it could hurt him. He looked like he was set up for a monster workload.
22:02They ran him into the ground during a preseason game, which is generally unadvised.
22:07He is dealing with a high ankle sprain. They're admitting it.
22:11Also, the quote is, week one is in doubt.
22:14I've gotten away from Love because I was drafting him so aggressively in the beginning of the third.
22:21The discount is not great enough. He's not like pick 33 right now.
22:26So I'm going to just let it roll as it is.
22:29I'm finding a hard time with the running backs I mentioned in that third round now.
22:35I wasn't drafting Javante. I still don't like him.
22:38I wasn't really drafting Josh Jacobs. I still don't really like him.
22:43So I don't know what to do. I'm either drafting my running backs really, really early or waiting for the fourth and
22:51going like Swift and Tootin or Scadabo. And I'm already holding my nose because as much as I like those players, Jake,
22:59it doesn't feel like a week one RB one that I would trade in a one V one if I were drafted one earlier.
23:07So see if you could tackle any and all of that, starting with Love and getting into those third round running backs.
23:15Well, John, I think that this injury has just cemented a slow start to Jeremiah Love's career.
23:21And that's not what you're interested in drafting at this stage in ADP in redraft.
23:27It's just I don't want a running back who's going to come out beyond potentially a very heavy pitch count, even if
23:35he is available when the offense isn't one that I'm super interested if you love the Cardinals offense, you probably have a different idea about Jeremiah Love.
23:44But I was basing my my love of Jeremiah for the workload and the fact that, you know, Ashton Jenty did pretty well last year.
23:53Their talent levels are pretty similar, all things considered.
23:57But the offensive line is better for Jeremiah Love.
24:00Those are the things that worked in his favor.
24:03Now, why? Why? What's the argument for Jeremiah Love when the coaching staff had come out before the preseason craziness of how
24:11much workload he got in that game? But they were coming out sounding so ambivalent about Jeremiah Love.
24:18So I had read the tea leaves as they're coming out.
24:22You know, Coach LeFleur wasn't very committal to Jordan Love being a superstar, certainly, for anything like it.
24:28And then he's giving him so much work in the preseason.
24:32Was it a thing that he really wanted to see what this kid has, you know, instead of defaulting back to James
24:40Conner if he's healthy or Tyler Algier, who they just signed this offseason?
24:45To me, this is a big feather in the cap for Tyler Algier of saying the first four weeks, if I'm going
24:52to guess which of these two running backs takes the bigger snap count, the heavier workload, I'm going with Algier.
25:00He's a very, very good running back in his own right.
25:04And if I want a fast start in my redraft leagues, which I always do, then I'm going with Tyler Algier much later.
25:12Yeah, Algier feels like a smash pick for early flex production.
25:16If you're doing GL leagues and stuff, or even these eliminator leagues, I think he's got to get pushed upwards.
25:23I was already a fan of his because, I don't know, it's felt simple, but he boxed out Bijan Robinson, who, last
25:31I checked, is on the shortest list for best football players on earth, and consistently boxed him out of high-value goal line work.
25:39So why wouldn't he have gotten that again? I mean, they paid him and then kind of surprised everybody with that draft pick of Love.
25:48So I still think Love is going to be productive.
25:52I think if he proves at any point to be healthy, he's going to be a real big fantasy asset.
25:59The problem is the market agrees because pick 33 for a guy who might miss a couple games is really rough.
26:07And also, just because we haven't mentioned it, got to be careful inviting too much injury on our teams early, Jake.
26:14We want to get out and win. We want to win in September.
26:19That's a mistake I've made in my past. Too many late-season winners, and sometimes that's best ball brain when we think about,
26:27all right, he's going to hit the ground running in the playoffs when it matters, kind of large field stuff, most home leagues.
26:35That's not the case. It's just head-to-head. If you get out to a, you know, one-and-three start, you could be behind the
26:43eight ball and chasing the entire year. Not what you want to be doing.
26:48So that was really good. Let's just take a quick break.
26:52I want to shuffle the paper and get back to the second half of these guys because we have another list of
27:00guys that are going to matter, right? Man, the prices are moving.

29:23With Hero Bread, there are no compromises, just flavor.
29:26There's none of the stiff baked goods you expect from better-for-you brands.
29:31There's just the soft, fluffy bread you crave. Plus, small batch drops of indulgent favorites like the popular 2-gram net carb Hero
29:39Croissant and the 3-gram net carb Hero Pano Chocolat.

29:54See nutrition facts on Hero.co. All right, Jakey. Thank you for your patience.
29:59Next up, this one really hurts because I'm putting on my fake internet stethoscope and pretending to know anything about medicine.
30:06It's Emeka Edbuka, who I was drafting. He's now moved down a little bit.
30:11Wide receiver, 1980p, 41. And I'm getting worried because they said turf toe.
30:16And turf toe has ruined seasons and if not, like careers.
30:20Edbuka already has some major threats for opportunity. That's a very talented pass catcher room, especially in the front end of the season.
30:28If and when a guy like Godwin goes down, you know, before McMillan goes down, Hurst is there.
30:35They're loving him in camp. I'm getting very worried about Edbuka.
30:39Again, the quotes are so vague. They're optimistic, but we're not sure.
30:43But it could be. And so, I don't know.
30:46It feels like my parents would lie to me about Toys R Us when I was little.
30:52Talk to us about Emeka Edbuka, man. Yeah, you can pick out two of anything that you want.
30:59Oh, no, they're closed. If you're good, maybe. We'll see.
31:02I used to get the we'll see. This one really does sting.
31:07I don't have a single Dynasty League where I don't have Emeka Edbuka.
31:11I spent all offseason trying to get him because I was so adamant that he was set up to have potentially like a JSN type of ascendance.
31:21I really felt that in this offense, and based on the quality of what we saw before last year's injury, that Abuka could be that guy.
31:31And so, I was also dipping in on redraft quite a lot.
31:35Now, you mentioned turf toe. I mean, even just think about like Brock Purdy.
31:40Brock Purdy went through the turf toe extravaganza. At the time, it wasn't an injury that was so common that we knew a lot about it.
31:49And people were kind of making fun of turf toe because it just sounds silly.
31:55Yeah. It's not. I mean, it really does derail seasons, like you said.
31:59So, I don't feel good drafting Emeka Edbuka now.
32:03In this area of round four, there's a couple of other wide receivers I've talked a lot about.
32:09You and I have both went through sort of the wide receivers in this range that we're comfortable with.
32:16Edbuka had definitely been one of those guys. Now, it's like Zay Flowers before him.
32:21You know, if somehow he falls to this area, great.
32:25I'll snatch up Zay Flowers. It has me thinking I should reach a little bit on Garrett Wilson instead of waiting for
32:33him to fall into my bread basket. So, this doesn't just affect his ADP.
32:38It really does affect my kind of whole strategy at wide receiver, John.
32:43Yeah, I agree a thousand percent. I had Edbuka kind of not heading shoulders above the tier, but, you know, he's peeking up above the horizon.
32:52And that was the guy I was grabbing the whole time.
32:56If we're going to go back to the stuff in things, you know, labeled buckets, good and bad.
33:02I like so many of the other players there that those bad buckets were empty.
33:08I really like Zay Flowers. You mentioned him. We both like Tee Higgins.
33:13You mentioned him. I like Lad McConkie. You know, I like Jalen Waddell.
33:17I like a lot of guys there. Even Garrett Wilson was the other name that I was looking for.
33:24Those are all players that are in great setups, great situations, and don't have that one thing, which we're really worried about.
33:32Again, we're making big decisions. We haven't seen anything at all.
33:36This could turn into a pup. Yeah, they're being kind of optimistic because they haven't restarted the engine, right?
33:43That's when the re-aggravations happen. That's when we really get our news, when they go to start them up again and find
33:51out whether or not, again, the machine is just working and all the pistons are firing.
33:56I'm really, really worried. And, again, just down to ADP 41, he's hardly falling behind all the names that I've mentioned.
34:04And if I'm prioritizing running backs the way that just every piece of analysis that I do seems to be pushing me
34:12in that direction, I really got to hit these wide receivers.
34:16I can't risk – you know, Ibuka is going to be your wide receiver one.
34:21I can't risk him on the shelf. Where are you drawing the line?
34:26I'm going to give you a couple names, and then we're going to go into the next name on the list.
34:34Devontae Adams, Terry McLaurin, Roma Dunze, and Luther Burden.
34:37He's back to practice. Would you rather have Luther Burden back to practice or Emeko with the question marks?
34:44I didn't have a whole lot of love for Luther Burden, and that was before any sort of injury thing with him.
34:52So I'm still giving the tiebreaker to Emeko Ibuka unless we get some real confirmation of things being worse than how they're playing it right now.
35:01So I would still take Ibuka over Burden. I would take Ibuka over Adams.
35:06I've been told that, you know, yes, Devontae Adams, all he does is score touchdowns.
35:11It's not a recent phenomenon. But last year when 40% of his fantasy points are strictly because of touchdowns, and he's another
35:19year older, and his quarterback has a bad back that could flare up, that's still a tiebreaker that's in favor of Ibuka.
35:27But, you know, last week I was on the fence about Jalen Waddell because of guys like him in this range, and
35:35I think now I would take Waddell over Ibuka.
35:38Can I ask you about one more player? I like to be very selfish sometimes, but I like to think it helps
35:46people because, again, it's not just him in the dirt.
35:50I'm down to the elbows making these decisions. A player that's been falling in this range that I'm finding right around this
35:58kind of – that decision point is Tett McMillan.
36:01I had been hand-waving them. Very easy for me to hand-wave.
36:05Again, we're comparing them to players that I don't see red flags.
36:09When I see the quarterback and the environment as a red flag, it was very easy for me to say thanks but no thanks.
36:18I was worried about the utilization. And with the Brazel injury, I worried that might stunt that hope.
36:25But if the preseason is any indication, McMillan is working like a ton out of the slot and getting some layup throws
36:32for Bryce on the move where he could see the receiver.
36:36Could be a huge help in giving Bacon a little bit of floor.
36:41Where are you at Buka versus Tett McMillian? And is McMillian even kind of part of your plan?
36:48Because I think he's a very good player. But, again, at the price, I have to like more than a player.
36:55I need to like the situation as well. Yeah, it's a great call out because McMillan was somebody who in round five,
37:03it felt like if somehow he was there, it was kind of an easy decision for me.
37:09McMillan, I just want to point out, I know that there's concerns about not only the usage, as you said, but really because of his quarterback.
37:19I always have to mention this to folks because I know Bryce Young is not the best quarterback.
37:25He's not the best even feeder of fantasy points to our skill position players.
37:30But this is a guy who in his rookie season made Adam Thielen the wide receiver six in his first like whatever
37:38that stretch was where he was healthy, like six games or something like that.
37:43And the dude was like already 35 or something, I'm pretty sure at that point.
37:48So it can be done. The wide receiver needs to be very talented, but McMillan is very talented.
37:55So, yes, I would take McMillan over Ibuka now.
37:58Yeah, I think maybe. And it's tough for me.
38:01To me, that is really kind of tacitly admitting how worried I am about the turf though, because when it first started, those were not even close.
38:11I would have taken Ibuka, you know, 11 times out of 10.
38:15Next up, a player that we both really liked.
38:19And this is when I was kind of complaining to you off air about how I hate when CLV kind of eats up my portfolio.
38:28You and I were both very much on Tucker Kraft.
38:31He's still the tight end five, but that price now has closed.
38:36That's something that you and I spoke about. Yeah, Kraft is a TE5, but he was going after pick 80.
38:43Now he's going in the early 60s, where I've had trouble wrangling him because I'm kind of still eating in that wide receiver pool.
38:51Guys we've mentioned, I like Jameson Williams. I like Mike Evans.
38:55I like Christian Watson. I like Parker Washington. Those are guys I'm all kind of drafting now over Tucker Kraft.
39:03I hate to admit it, but he's practicing. And even though they're saying they're going to keep him on a snap count, it's weird.
39:11As long as he's running routes, we really don't care if he's run blocking.
39:16It's funny with tight ends how people get obsessed with that.
39:20Dalton Kincaid showed you, as long as you're running routes, it doesn't matter your snap count.
39:26Because if you're efficient like Kraft can be. So where are you on our guy Tucker Kraft?
39:32As he creeps up next to Warren, who also has his own issues.
39:37Man, I hate to admit it, Jake. I've kind of hit the eject button at cost.
39:43I mean, Warren and Kraft have been two of my top tier targets at tight end this entire time.
39:49So the combo platter of this is not thrilling to me.
39:53Tucker Kraft, though, I've still been, I'll admit it.
39:57I'm one of the people still hyping up Tucker Kraft.
40:00And unfortunately, maybe not helping a discount situation for Tucker Kraft in your leagues.
40:05Because of what you said. I think that anybody who can break big plays as a tight end, as consistently as Tucker
40:13Kraft can, is still going to be worth it more than like your garden variety.
40:19Hey, I'm here and I'm going to catch the ball and fall down.
40:23You know, that type of tight end variety. The old Jason Witten or Zach Ertz types.
40:29No disrespect to those guys. But Tucker Kraft is still worth it to me.
40:34The one thing that gives me pause is the depth chart is so thin for Green Bay at tight end.
40:41That I'm worried who is going to be run blocking if not Tucker Kraft.
40:46Are they going to be forced to play him more than they want for those situations?
40:52Because they don't really have anybody right now who is healthy and sort of a trusted veteran.
40:58So I'm not going to get too in my head about it, but it is something to consider.

44:17See nutrition facts on Hero.co. Yeah, I didn't realize Musgrave was on the PUP list.
44:22Behind him is like Wiley. I'm hoping, we talk about as much as coaches and GMs lie, a lot of times the roster and usage is the truth.
44:32It's when they kind of have to show their cards.
44:36I'm hoping that lack of depth is physical confidence, right?
44:39Confidence in the recovery for Kraft because I will say this also before we move on.
44:45At pick 65, he could still change your league.
44:48It kills me to have to take him over again a guy like Parker Washington.
44:54But it could really give you an edge every single week with the vacated targets in Green Bay.
45:00And again, if he's going to get that full workload, he could just break fantasy positionally because, again, it's going so late.
45:08Let's stick with tight ends. It's George Kittle. He was just activated from the PUP list on Sunday.
45:15Now, my beef with Kittle the whole time is I never thought he was really cheap enough.
45:21I think it's – I keep mentioning Dalton Kincaid.
45:24I might as well do it again. He's been the guy I've been into when it was around pick 100.
45:31Now, Kittle is the tight end nine moving up into the high 80s.
45:36Last I saw was consensus ADP 88 for Kittle.
45:39We're still not 100% sure he's going to play week one, but it does sound pretty sure he will be in the lineup week two.
45:48Just a quick note, Sam Frane did tell us if he's not going to play in the international game, which they're leaving a week early for.
45:58He won't be traveling. So we will get that information early, which I think will help you because you could draft Kittle
46:06and you'll just know you're not taking a zero.
46:09I don't think that one week should throw us off it.
46:13I think the price might – man, Kittle could be that guy that could change a week also, Jake.
46:20Few guys at the position have that type of per-game ceiling.
46:24But you are paying for it. We don't know if he's going to return to 100%.
46:29Where are you on Kittle and how he fits into the Sam Frane plan?
46:34I mean, to be fair, you used to have to pay tight end five ADP for George Kittle.
46:41Like that's what he's consistently been. So it might not feel like it.
46:46This is a discount for George Kittle. It is another tight end who, when he's out there, whenever he actually has been
46:53healthy, you could pretty reliable slot him in for at least an 80% chance at a huge day.
47:00Does he always deliver? No. And sometimes he plays through arguably too many injuries, and it can impact what you're getting in the fantasy stat sheet.
47:09But I've seen a lot of chatter, a ton of chatter, especially over on Blue Sky, about like, stay away from George Kittle.
47:18Don't even mess with it based off this injury.
47:21I'm not as afraid. I've said all along, George Kittle and to a lesser extent, Tucker Craft, these are guys like when
47:29they say, coming off of injury or playing through injury, I'm good.
47:33I'm going to be out there. I'm going to play.
47:37I believe them. Those two are very reliable in that way.
47:41So as long as, big asterisk, as long as you're comfortable taking another stab at tight end at the very end of
47:49your draft just to make sure, hey, on week one, week two, I have somebody that I can slot in.
47:56I keep saying Greg Dulcich is a name. But pick your preferred tight end at the last round of your draft.
48:03Pair these guys with that tight end just to be on the safe side.
48:08But otherwise, I'm okay with the price. Yeah, I don't think that's a bad play either.
48:14It just depends where he falls. I'm still finding his price is all over the place.
48:20There are times where he goes in the early 80s.
48:24I find myself saying, no, thank you. Then there are times where he's back in the triple digits where he may have
48:31fallen behind a guy like Kincaid where all of a sudden I'm thinking, yeah, let's go.
48:37To that replacement theory, Jake Thomas has stepped in as like a real tight end one at points.
48:44I'm just looking at the game log. Kittle missed last year versus Chicago.
48:48And Thomas went 760 and one. So he's part of the offense.
48:53He understands the plan. He's going to play a full complement of snaps if he makes the trip.
48:59And that'd be fine, right? I think you're almost good.
49:03I don't want to say definitely. But I think you get a tight end one finish from him, even if it's not too pretty.
49:11But he gives you a good chance at it.
49:15All right, just a couple more names. But they're relevant.
49:18It matters, you know, the show's getting longer as we're approaching kickoff.
49:23It's Alec Pierce, Colts head coaching. Steichen said Alec Pierce with the ankle is expected to return to practice this week.
49:30I mean, maybe I need to stop doing video-based analysis after what happened with Malik Neighbors.
49:36But I saw that video of Pierce. He does not look good.
49:40All the Twitter docs are in agreement. He's not putting pressure on it.
49:45He's still walking weird. It doesn't look right to me.
49:49Maybe he returns to practice, in which case ADP 104 would be a steal.
49:54But I will tell people from drafting every second of every day, that video spiked his ADP downward.
50:00Again, it's torpedoed. He's going around pick 135, where I've found myself back in the Alec Pierce market, which I kind of said I wasn't going to do.
50:10But at pick 130, I mean, we're talking about a potential top target on the team.
50:16He's definitely a good deep target and could win you weeks with high-value touches.
50:21So where are you on Pierce? Do you think it's a little bit foolish of me who's an admitted injury pessimist to finally be showing some optimism?
50:31Well, no, not if the price is right. You know, that's the whole thing is I stay away from injuries typically in the first few rounds.
50:40So these guys that were at the top of our list, I was more cautious about.
50:46But if you're getting to this point, you're wanting, or I am, as much upside as possible.
50:52I was out on Alec Pierce when everybody thought he was healthy because I thought his ADP was crazy.
50:59And I thought people were assuming, you know, that he was this locked-in wide receiver one.
51:05And I just wasn't feeling it because I thought that the contract was more about what he did overall for the offense
51:13than what he did for your fantasy score, you know?
51:16And now that he's falling down, it's like, sure, why not at least take a stab on it?
51:23Especially you pair that with the fact that Tyler Warren is dealing with his own injury.
51:28Josh Downs we didn't even talk about. He's now got some stuff going on that who knows how serious that is.
51:36But, you know, attrition's a real thing. Sometimes you just need a guy who has a decent shot to go out there
51:44and put up some big weeks, if only because he's the only healthy target available.
51:49And between the fact that all those other guys are banged up and they signed 80-year-old Keenan Allen, I think, you know, I'm okay with Pierce.
51:59Yeah, I think given the archetypes of the pass catchers on that team, if and when Pierce returns, that job is waiting for him.
52:07Forget the money, which I, you know, backed up the Brinks truck for him.
52:12So I am keeping the light on for Alec Pierce.
52:16Again, it's got to be outside of pick 125.
52:19I'm glad that you mentioned the price that is always the most important thing.
52:24But right, when he was going closer to QJ, Casey Concepcion, even Matthew Golden, I'd rather have those players.
52:31Now that he's going closer to, man, he's going closer to like Keenan Allen, Khalil Shakir, who's banged up also.
52:38Jacoby Lane, who I think the market has oversteamed.
52:41Yeah, that could be a thing in Baltimore. But it's not like we've seen multiple pass catchers in Baltimore get dragged along
52:49with Lamar, who's talking about running again. So, yeah, I'm going to hope Pierce is a thing.
52:56Maybe we'll know early or late. And, hey, man, maybe he's even like an IR guy that he can stash.
53:03Let's do last but not least, because we had Kenyon Sadiq on there, but, man, rookie tight ends at a missing time,
53:11he's not going to be part of anyone's redraft plan.
53:14I don't think he should be. We're going to talk Patrick Mahomes.
53:19Mahomes, man, this is somebody I have found. I'm like the anti-Mahomes guy, even though as a, you know, I'm a longtime
53:27veteran handicapper, Jake, and I've been telling people for the longest time the quickest way to go broke is to bet against Patrick Mahomes.
53:35Yet here I find myself doing exactly that. QB 15, he's going right around.
53:40Let's go a little bit after ADP 115. Andy Reid, it's not like he was being a little cute.
53:47Mahomes has been at every practice, has not missed a single rep.
53:51When asked, oh, Andy Reid said, which I just mentioned, he was quoted saying, we'll see.
53:57I'm imagining Patrick Mahomes is playing. I'm just not sure what we're getting.
54:02I'm really worried about Kelsey's age and Rice's skill.
54:05The fact that now everybody in the world is chasing up Cyrus Allen.
54:10I think Zaver Worthy might also not be good.
54:13He also might be fragile. Bad shoulder again. There's a chance that the Chiefs were just, we mentioned roster truths.
54:20When they saw Kenneth Walker, the intention was to run the ball more.
54:25I can see Mahomes being a much better real-life quarterback than Fantasy.
54:29I also like Jackson Dart, who runs going at the same price.
54:34Talk to us about Mahomes. And if you think maybe I should start adding him into my plan at all, because literally I'm several hundred drafts deep.
54:43I don't think I've clicked on Mahomes once. Wow.
54:46Wow. That's wild to hear. I just want to try to transport you back.
54:52Let's do this, John. Let's see if I can get you back on board.
54:57Yes, exactly. I don't know who's going to get that.
55:00I don't know if anyone's going to get that.
55:03There's got to be a Wayne's World fan or two still around.
55:08I would hope so. All right. So transport two years ago.
55:12Talk to John from two years ago and say, you can get Patrick freaking Mahomes at QB 15 in your draft.
55:19The only caveat is maybe he's a little banged up.
55:23Maybe week one, you don't love what you get.
55:26QB 15 for Patrick Mahomes? When he was QB 11, QB 12 early in the off season.
55:32It's like, I guess I kind of see where people are pivoting away.
55:37But I've said it so many times. I'm going to go to my fantasy grave saying it once more.
55:44The return of Eric Viennemi as the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, I believe is the fastest thing to get
55:52Mahomes and everybody else back to the explosive play style and the big fantasy points that we had grown accustomed to for so long with Mahomes.
56:01So I personally am loving it. It's the same thing I would say, though, about drafting Tucker Craft or drafting George Kittle.
56:09So make sure, you know, even in a one QB league, if you're not somebody who normally drafts two QBs, save a
56:17spot towards the end of your draft for somebody that you can plug in for those first couple of weeks.
56:24I'm not saying you have to handcuff him with Justin Fields, but, you know, Sam Darnold or whoever is going back there,
56:32make sure you have somebody just in case he's not looking good or he's not out there in week one.
56:39But otherwise, I'm in. I think you're right, especially if the price is so low that where you would have normally had
56:47to draft him as a top five QB, which I was never really into because, again, I was chasing the runners and it never worked out.
56:57I've always, right, your lifetime defeated, right? The opposite of undefeated is lifetime defeated going up against Patrick Mahomes.
57:03Although the funniest part about this case that you're like, take this back in time.
57:09How about we go back to last year where he was one of four quarterbacks to average over 20 fantasy points a
57:17game, which is really the benchmark for being really great and the benchmark for separation at the position.
57:23And yet somehow I just refuse to believe it.
57:26I feel like I am destined to burn on this one, man.
57:31I don't know what it is. It's all there.
57:34And I'm really – I am just supremely bearish on that.
57:38Just the whole pass-catching core. I could just see the whole thing kind of going wrong for them.
57:44But, man, when it comes down to it, I feel like I'm going to be more sorry than not when it comes down to Mr.
57:53Patrick Mahomes. Jake, that was really awesome. I think we settled some of these debates for people, gay people, options of plan B, plan C.
58:02So from Drake, Jake Trowbridge, and John Legazza, our producer Robbie, everyone at Fantasy Football Weekly, thanks so much for listening.
58:10We'll catch you next week and enjoy the weekend.

58:24Like what? You can keep your phone and your number, and T-Mobile helps pay it off, up to $800 per line.
58:31So I wouldn't have to buy a new phone?
58:35Yep. Plus, your plan price stays the same for five years on experience plans.
58:40Nice. Find your reason at T-Mobile.com. This is Adam Devine.
58:43Blake Anderson. And Anders Holm from – This is important.
