Aaron Rodgers

PositiveMatchup11:57

Aaron Rodgers is startable in back-to-back weeks against the Colts despite career-low completion percentage, more sacks than any other QB this year, and limited mobility. The Colts matchup specifically offers one more favorable opportunity for Rodgers to produce yards and touchdowns before worse times ahead.

Insight page

AJ Dillon

NegativeBust67:26

Matthew Berry expresses frustration with the Packers running back room, noting he's been holding on by a thread to AJ Dillon but is ready to capitulate; the backfield is in disarray with no clear lead back emerging.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveRole50:00

Antonio Williams is the big winner with Steph Diggs out; Jake Trowbridge notes he would benefit even more if Terry McLaurin plays, allowing Williams to operate underneath routes rather than running deep routes. Williams is described as an efficiency monster waiting to break out and should be rostered universally.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection73:33

Bo Nix has looked terrible so far, but Sean Payton taking over play-calling duties could be the missing stylistic or schematic piece; Payton has succeeded calling plays for Nix previously, suggesting potential improvement.

Insight page

Braxton Miller

NegativeRole21:04

Matthew Berry notes that while the Browns have been beatable on the ground, making Braxton Miller viable after Breece Hall's injury, he's not particularly interested in the Jets' running back situation overall. Miller is getting one million percent of all the touches but lacks the upside appeal of other options.

Insight page
NegativeProjection25:00

Jake does not view Braxton Miller as a high-upside play in Week 5, despite getting all the touches after Breece Hall's injury. The running back position is described as gross, and Miller is presented as a lesser option compared to alternatives like Will Shipley.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveRole44:57

Brock Bowers is central to the Raiders' offensive success; he can move in and offline to create matchup nightmares and disallow defenses from changing personnel. The Raiders have increased 12 personnel usage to over 85% in the last two weeks (from 33% through two weeks) specifically to feature Bowers alongside other tight ends, enabling play-action success for receivers like Trey Tucker.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

PositiveMatchup61:00

CJ Stroud gets a decent matchup against the Titans, who historically don't force teams to throw much; Jake Trowbridge notes this creates an interesting dynamic about how much the Texans will actually run against Tennessee.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeInjury66:48

Matthew Berry notes that Caleb Williams did practice and expects to play in the upcoming game against Green Bay; this is relevant context for Bears offensive production expectations.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveUsage62:38

Last week Tate had 9 catches for 145 yards with a 36% targets per route run (third highest of the week) and 44% target share (tied second-most among wide receivers). Matthew Berry notes the Titans built their passing game around Tate as their best player, but expresses caution about locking in another 7 targets this week, lowering expectations significantly from the previous week's performance.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveUsage31:40

Jake notes that Chase Brown is in line for another high-volume game in Week 5 with Higgins and Chase potentially out. Last week he had 10 rushing yards but 19.1 PPR points due to 6 receptions, demonstrating his value as a pass-catching back. With major offensive weapons missing, Brown should see continued heavy involvement.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveRole66:14

Matthew Berry identifies Christian Watson as part of a three-headed monster pass catcher room alongside Matthew Golden and Tucker Craft; describes the group as one of the most talented anywhere with field-stretching, possession, yards-after-catch, reliability, hands, tough grabs, and end zone capabilities. Watson is positioned to benefit from the Packers' historically bad run game forcing volume into the passing game.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup68:48

Watson faces the Bears defense on the road in Green Bay; the Bears gave up 30% more passing yards and three times more touchdowns on the road than at home last year, creating potential for big days for Watson and other Packers receivers.

Insight page

Cole Kmet

PositiveRole67:05

Matthew Berry notes that the Kalief Raymond situation is over and targets are now being focused where they belong on Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland, making both viable again in the Bears offense.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveRole67:05

Matthew Berry notes that the Kalief Raymond situation is over and targets are now being focused where they belong on Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland, making both viable again in the Bears offense.

Insight page
PositiveRole71:39

Loveland benefits from backup quarterback Bajan's accuracy compared to Caleb Williams' vulnerability in that area; Bajan's strong suit is accuracy, which is helpful for Loveland and other receivers who need to be targeted in a way where they can take it and run.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

PositiveProjection5:08

Matthew Berry ranks Dallas Goedert as a top-eight tight end play for the week, citing high confidence in him as Jalen Hurts' security blanket and the only Eagles pass catcher he trusts given the disconnect between Hurts and the coaching staff on how to utilize other receivers.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

PositiveUsage60:00

Dalton Schultz gets inflated target volume when Nico Collins is out; Jake Trowbridge notes Schultz won't get his 14 targets or whatever when Collins plays, suggesting those targets are largely meaningless and that Schultz should be benched when Collins is active.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

NegativeProjection9:53

Daniel Jones' situation is deteriorating week to week. The Giants continue to struggle with route redundancy issues, with Keenan Allen, Jalen Warren, and Josh Downs all occupying the same parts of the field, making the offense easier to defend.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeProjection62:00

David Montgomery has fallen off significantly since his multi-touchdown Week 1 performance; Jake Trowbridge notes his arrow is pointed downward while Woody Marks looks better and is getting more goal-line touches and scoring touchdowns since Week 1.

Insight page

David Njoku

PositiveRole21:04

Matthew Berry identifies Njoku (referred to as Fannin in the transcript) as getting high-value tight end work for the Browns, providing redundancy and making him startable in Week 5. He's receiving the type of targets and role that would normally be expected from a featured tight end.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveRole21:04

Matthew Berry identifies Boston as getting enough work with big-play upside, making him startable in Week 5 against the Jets. The matchup is favorable for the Browns passing game, and Boston's role as a deep threat provides consistent opportunity.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

PositiveProjection21:04

Matthew Berry notes Watson is now startable again after converting sacks into scramble first downs—a huge EPA boost compared to Week 1 when he ate five sacks. While he doesn't look like his old Houston form, the ability to tuck and run with scrambles represents a significant functional improvement that makes the Browns offense viable in Week 5 against the Jets.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeMatchup10:05

Matthew Berry is starting DK Metcalf against the Colts but advises lowering expectations significantly from the previous week. Even the passes Aaron Rodgers threw Metcalf's way looked poor, with many resulting from busted coverage rather than clean offensive execution.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection47:00

Drake May showed improvement against Buffalo but only did the bare minimum expected in a good matchup; Matthew Berry cautions that he is matchup-dependent and should not be considered fully back. The Raiders are a tougher matchup than Buffalo, so May's fantasy viability is limited this week.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeMatchup23:12

Jake expresses disappointment in Garrett Wilson's probable output in Week 5 against Cleveland, noting that Isaiah Williams does not provide the same defensive stress that A.D. Mitchell would. Without Mitchell's presence to create one-on-one opportunities, Wilson's ceiling is capped despite a slightly better matchup than the previous week.

Insight page

Hunter Henry

PositiveRole48:00

Hunter Henry gets a significant bump if Ramondre Stevenson is out; he received heavy usage last week and is known as Drake May's security blanket. Matthew Berry highlights Henry as the biggest beneficiary of a potential Stevenson absence.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveRole53:00

Isaiah Likely is welcomed back into startability for the Commanders; Matthew Berry indicates he wants to start Likely along with Malik Nabors in this matchup.

Insight page

Isaiah Williams

PositiveProjection23:12

Jake suggests Isaiah Williams could be started as a flex play in Week 5 if desperate, noting he caught a touchdown and had 70 yards last week despite limited targets. While not a high-ceiling play, he provides flex-level upside in a pinch.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeProjection74:17

J.K. Dobbins cannot catch a pass, which is the only thing keeping his fantasy value afloat; Matthew Berry has already benched him and notes that R.J. Harvey's dump-off role is the reason Harvey is the preferred back.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeInjury31:40

Matthew Berry notes that while Jamar Chase did practice, he's assuming Chase is out for Week 5 until seeing a full practice and protocol clearance. This uncertainty significantly impacts the Bengals' passing game against Miami.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection9:00

Matthew Berry notes Jalen Hurts is 'so inaccurate right now, really off target, worst numbers of his career,' which is leading to a lack of yards after catch for receivers like Lemon. The inaccuracy means the ball is not being placed in the right spot for receivers to catch in stride and move with it.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeProjection53:00

Jameis Winston got into double-digit air dot (average depth of target) in his second full game after being in the mid-single digits through the first half; Matthew Berry is not starting him but notes he's attacking downfield to Malik Nabors.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveRole10:47

Jalen Warren should be started regardless of Rico Dowd's status because he has proven himself and earned Aaron Rodgers' trust through recent playing time. Even if the Steelers attempt to force Dowd into more carries, Dowd is unlikely to receive passes from Rodgers in this game.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeRole36:40

Matthew Berry notes that Jalen Wright is not a significant obstacle to Ollie Gordon's opportunity, suggesting Gordon's role is secure despite Wright's presence on the Dolphins roster.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveMatchup10:41

Jonathan Taylor is a multiple touchdown machine facing the Steelers, who rank bottom five in yards after contact per rush. The Steelers' poor tackling at the second level means Taylor can break long runs to the paint, making him a strong start in this matchup.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveProjection22:11

Matthew Berry expresses confidence in Jordan Love's ability, noting the Packers' historically bad run game forces them into a pass-heavy offense; Love is being thrust into a situation where he'll face the Bears defense on the road, which has shown significant home/road splits (30% more passing yards and 3x more touchdowns allowed on the road vs. at home).

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeUsage9:57

Josh Downs is getting two-wide receiver snap shares in the Colts offense, but Matthew Berry indicates this is 'not real' value given the route redundancy issues where Downs, Keenan Allen, and Josh Warren occupy the same parts of the field.

Insight page
NegativeRole9:58

Despite earning two wide receiver snap shares, Downs has struggled to produce because he occupies the same parts of the field as Keenan Allen and Tyler Warren, creating route redundancy that makes the Colts offense easier to defend. Matthew Berry notes this field congestion is the primary reason for Downs' lack of production despite the snap opportunity.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection74:00

Justin Herbert should not be considered a potential starting quarterback for fantasy teams until he proves otherwise; Matthew Berry has already benched him and says 'we're done with Justin Herbert' as a viable option.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveRole73:01

Keaton Mitchell is seeding work from Amari Hampton and should be rostered; Matthew Berry emphasizes he should be on rosters despite the Chargers' injury situation.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeRole9:57

Matthew Berry notes that Keenan Allen, along with Josh Warren and Josh Downs, all seem to occupy the same parts of the field, creating route redundancy issues that make the Colts offense easier to defend. This structural problem persists even when Allen is playing.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

PositiveProjection30:00

Matthew Berry identifies Kenyon Sadiq as a tight end one back-end option in Week 5, providing a viable tight end alternative in the Browns-Jets matchup.

Insight page

Kyle Monangai

NegativeInjury67:12

Matthew Berry reports Kyle Monangai is out after a giant game, which came because of a swift disappointment (injury). Berry expects Monangai will reassume the one role when healthy, but Roschon Johnson should be added in the interim.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

NegativeRole6:20

Matthew Berry notes that Makai Lemon's production hasn't been great, but he's seeing an increase in role; Lemon is already 115 routes deep but has only 15 targets, suggesting potential for a second-half breakout as a rookie working through early-season adjustment.

Insight page
NegativeRole6:33

Lemon is 115 routes deep with only 15 targets for 10 receptions; all advanced metrics are poor with a short average depth of target and efficiency around 25 routes per first down (target is ~10). Matthew Berry expresses concern that despite an increase in role, the Eagles drafted him and then immediately struggled to figure out how to use him, compounded by the absence of DeVante Smith. The efficiency has not materialized despite recent volume increase.

Insight page
NegativeProjection7:17

Matthew Berry states the Eagles will try to force creative volume to Lemon, and he did double his previous season high in targets last week, but Berry emphasizes 'it was not worth much to your fantasy team' because the Eagles drafted him and then immediately struggled to figure out how to use him, especially without DeVante Smith.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeProjection52:00

Malik Nabors had a strong game last week with 100 yards and his first touchdown of the season; however, Matthew Berry does not have high hopes for him against the Commanders despite the soft matchup on paper, expecting only a respectable day rather than a big performance.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveUsage40:00

Jake highlights Malik Washington as a player who should be rostered everywhere, noting he's getting diverse usage including jet sweeps, running plays, deep routes, hook routes, and option routes. The Dolphins are forcing him the ball with creative play-calling, making him a high-usage player despite not having universal roster adoption.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeRole69:20

Lloyd is at the point of being dropped from rosters; the speaker suggests he should be dropped rather than held.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveRole66:14

Matthew Berry highlights Matthew Golden as part of a three-headed monster pass catcher room alongside Christian Watson and Tucker Craft; describes the group as one of the most talented anywhere with field-stretching, possession, yards-after-catch, reliability, hands, tough grabs, and end zone capabilities. Golden is positioned to benefit from the Packers' historically bad run game forcing volume into the passing game.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup68:48

Golden is positioned for a big game against the Bears defense on the road in Green Bay; the Bears gave up 30% more passing yards and three times more touchdowns on the road than at home last year.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveRole45:50

Michael Mayer is better suited as a tight end two for a team than a tight end one; Matthew Berry notes that people won't roster him because of the backup label, but he's a legitimate tight end who benefits from the Raiders' increased 12-personnel sets and Brock Bowers' presence.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeInjury10:02

Michael Pittman will miss the Colts-Steelers game, removing a key receiving option from the Indianapolis offense.

Insight page

Mike Gesicki

PositiveProjection35:00

Jake identifies Mike Gesicki as the Bengals' first true tight end one in recent memory, noting he's finally proven to be a featured option. While some production is touchdown-dependent, that's typical for tight ends outside the top six. With Higgins and Chase potentially out, Gesicki should be a featured target in the red zone and is recommended as a start in Week 5.

Insight page

Mitchell Tinsley

NegativeRole31:40

Matthew Berry mentions Mitchell Tinsley as a potential whisper-type candidate stepping into opportunity with Higgins and Chase potentially out. Jake expresses reluctance to trust either Tinsley or Myers in this situation, suggesting the opportunity may be too uncertain to rely on.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveRole59:00

Nico Collins is the Houston Texans offense; when he suits up, the team scores 31 and 30 points, but when he doesn't play, they haven't cracked 20. Jake Trowbridge notes that when Collins plays, he feels much better starting other guys in the offense because drives are sustained and scoring opportunities are more fruitful.

Insight page
NegativeRole63:03

Matthew Berry mentions starting Nico Collins for Houston but provides no additional context or analysis beyond the mention.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon II

PositiveProjection36:40

Matthew Berry prefers Ollie Gordon over other running back options like Will Shipley and Braxton Miller, noting that even though Gordon wasn't efficient overall against Minnesota, breaking off a 50+ yard play as a running back provides more upside than other gross running back options. Gordon's big-play ability makes him preferable 10 times out of 10 compared to alternatives.

Insight page
PositiveRole65:00

Matthew Berry prefers Ollie Gordon's ceiling upside over Tony Pollard's floor safety in the Titans backfield. Gordon offers more upside but less safety than Pollard, making him the choice for rosters needing ceiling plays rather than floor consistency.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveProjection8:11

Matthew Berry states Parker Washington is the only wide receiver in the Eagles-Jaguars game he truly wants to start, though he acknowledges some people don't want to start him because his production has declined from a 36% target share in weeks one and two to 14% in the last two weeks.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

NegativeRole10:18

Pat Freiermuth and Donald Washington are both splitting carries and targets, canceling each other out in terms of fantasy value. Combined with Aaron Rodgers' inaccuracy, the Steelers' receiving options present mixed signals for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeInjury72:27

Quentin Johnston is straight up out for the Chargers matchup against Denver, escalating quickly from earlier in the week.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveBreakout25:00

Jake highlights Judkins as a breakout candidate after catching 6 of 7 targets for 43 yards last week—unexpected receiving production from a back drafted in the Nick Chubb mold. Now at 14% team target share and 80% backfield opportunity share, Judkins is a dual-threat back on a league-average offense with elite opportunity metrics, making him a definite start in Week 5.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveRole46:00

Ramondre Stevenson is the clear pass-catching back for the Patriots; Jake Trowbridge prefers him over Travion Henderson if he plays, noting that Stevenson and Henderson split rushing carries roughly evenly last week but Stevenson is who the Patriots trust in the passing game.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveRole75:25

R.J. Harvey is the dump-off king for the Broncos right now and is the preferred back over J.K. Dobbins; he ended up with almost 20 PPR points despite doing almost none of it on the ground, making him a viable start.

Insight page

Roman Wilson

NegativeRole10:08

Roman Wilson took snaps from Jeremy Bernard, but Matthew Berry expresses uncertainty about playing both receivers together. The Steelers' receiving corps is crowded with Wilson, Bernard, Pat Freiermuth, and Donald Washington all competing for targets, creating mixed signals about usage.

Insight page

Roschon Johnson

PositiveRole67:19

Matthew Berry recommends adding Roschon Johnson as the fill-in back while Kyle Monangai is out; Johnson should see increased opportunity in the Bears backfield.

Insight page

Skyy Moore

NegativeMatchup69:13

Moore is mentioned as a hypothetical fourth receiving option for the Packers against the Bears defense on the road; the speaker suggests he could be a speculative play if desperate or looking for a fourth guy to target in this matchup.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeInjury31:40

Matthew Berry reports that Tee Higgins is pretty much out for Week 5 against the Dolphins due to injury, significantly impacting the Bengals passing game and creating opportunity for secondary receivers.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

NegativeProjection63:00

Jake Trowbridge has to start Tony Pollard in a fantasy league but only because he has no other options; this suggests limited confidence in Pollard's production against the Texans.

Insight page
NegativeRole64:05

Matthew Berry characterizes Pollard as a safe floor play for the Titans despite the backfield split with Ty J Spears. Pollard typically receives a couple targets per week and converts them effectively. Berry notes Pollard has had 13 of 14 goal-to-go attempts, but the Titans don't reach the red zone often enough. However, Berry prefers Ollie Gordon's ceiling upside over Pollard's floor in a PPR context.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveBreakout74:57

Trey Harris is Matthew Berry's hopeful Charger this week; took four weeks to exceed 80% route participation but hit 91% against Seattle (partly due to Lad McConkie leaving early), and led the team in targets with 24% share the prior week; with McConkie questionable and Quentin Johnston out, Harris could have a strong day and finally leapfrog Johnston.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

PositiveRole45:50

Trey Tucker, while potentially flawed, benefits from the Raiders' play-action game when protection is solid; with defenses forced to account for Bowers, Jente, and Mayer, Tucker sometimes finds himself running free on play-action, which has contributed to his recent success.

Insight page

Troy Franklin

PositiveRole73:17

Troy Franklin is being added by Matthew Berry as a potential option for the Broncos, representing the one light he's keeping on for a team he is not enthused about.

Insight page

Tua Tagovailoa

NegativeProjection40:00

Jake expresses concern about Tua Tagovailoa's offensive output, noting that Willis (likely referring to Tagovailoa) still hasn't gone over 220 yards passing except in Week 1, and even that was against the Vikings. Jake wants to see Tagovailoa run more and tuck-and-run when he doesn't like what he sees, as he looks athletic with the ball in his hand but hasn't demonstrated that ability yet.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveRole66:14

Matthew Berry identifies Tucker Craft as part of a three-headed monster pass catcher room alongside Matthew Golden and Christian Watson; describes the group as one of the most talented anywhere with field-stretching, possession, yards-after-catch, reliability, hands, tough grabs, and end zone capabilities. Craft is positioned to benefit from the Packers' historically bad run game forcing volume into the passing game.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup68:48

Craft is positioned for a big game against the Bears defense on the road in Green Bay; the Bears gave up 30% more passing yards and three times more touchdowns on the road than at home last year.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveProjection10:22

Tyler Warren is earning nearly seven targets per game but has an ADOT (average depth of target) of just 2.3 yards, which borders on running back territory. This extremely short target depth severely limits his fantasy upside despite the target volume.

Insight page

Tyson Bagent

PositiveRole66:55

Matthew Berry praises Tyson Bagent's performance in relief, noting he did a good job keeping the buses on schedule in Ben Johnson's offense, which is all that's needed in that system. This suggests Bagent is a capable backup option.

Insight page

Will Shipley

NegativeRole1:50

Jake Trowbridge is considering starting Will Shipley in week five, indicating the running back has emerged as a viable option despite being a mid-draft pick or waiver acquisition; this reflects significant roster churn and the need to deploy bench players due to injuries or underperformance elsewhere.

Insight page
NegativeProjection3:14

Matthew Berry notes Shipley's rush and receiving yard prop combined is 53, which feels very low for a player expected to shoulder the backfield load; however, Berry expresses concern about Damian Pierce's elevation to the roster potentially limiting Shipley's utilization and dump-off opportunities from Jalen Hurts, making it difficult to guarantee even five catches and 25 yards receiving.

Insight page
NegativeRole5:07

Shipley has had double-digit touches just once in his NFL career, and in that game he didn't cross double-digit fantasy points even in PPR formats; Matthew Berry suggests using Shipley only if absolutely direly needed due to limited historical production and role uncertainty.

Insight page
NegativeProjection25:00

Jake presents Will Shipley as a comparison point for running back desperation in Week 5, suggesting Braxton Miller is preferable to Shipley in the current landscape. Shipley is not recommended as a starting option.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveRole62:00

Woody Marks looks better than David Montgomery and is getting more goal-line touches and scoring touchdowns since Week 1; Jake Trowbridge is comfortable starting him this week against the Titans.

1:19What's up, everyone, and welcome back to Fantasy Football Weekly with your friends, Mr.
1:24Jake Trowbridge and yours truly, John Laghezza, as we head into week five.
1:28How is it week five already? I can't believe we're at the corner poll already, Jake.
1:33This is really something. I swear, like a minute ago, we were saying, I can't wait for the season to start.
1:40Now, in a blink, it's pure chaos. Most of the rosters I drafted look nothing like the team that I originally drafted.
1:47How are you doing in the fantasy streets, Jake?
1:50I mean, I'm doing as well as somebody can do that's genuinely considering starting Will Shipley in a league in week five.
1:57We're going to talk about all this, obviously, John.
2:00But, yeah, it's not just that the drafted rosters look so different.
2:04It's that you're having a hard time recognizing the names that are on some of your rosters and are the top ads on waivers this week.
2:12Yeah, I couldn't believe it in my game-by-game write-up over at Fantasy Life.
2:16Check that out, the Matthew Berry stuff. I couldn't believe it.
2:20We're this far in, and I'm very transparent. You know, I get a lot of wins.
2:25I take my losses. There are names I legit didn't know, players I had never heard of, and that's what it is.
2:32This year in particular, I don't want to say sketchy, but it's been very hard to parse some of the injury stuff.
2:39What coaches say about practices and appearances have not necessarily manifested, right?
2:43We're hearing this guy will practice, he won't, and vice versa in basically every iteration in between.
2:48Coach, we put you the test this week and these past few weeks, John.
2:53How much trust do you want to put in a coach is a question that we have to keep asking ourselves.
2:59The answer is so little. It is so very little, which is why I try and glean what I can from the practice reports.
3:07We often talk about how, as much as coaches and coordinators lie, the utilization and actual physical presence does kind of matter.
3:14We're going to talk about some practice report stuff right away.
3:18This work isn't going to do itself, Jake. We got Eagles at Jacksonville, though it's Jacksonville's second home.
3:23Across the pond, spit spot in merry old England.
3:26Philly is 2-2 somehow. They feel like the most fraudulent 2-2 team on the board.
3:31They're also 7.5-point underdogs to the Jaguars, who look fantastic.
3:34You mentioned Will Shipley. I mean, I think you have to start Will Shipley if anyone's been under a rock.
3:41Both Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby are out. But Shipley's the only other person wearing an Eagles jersey that's touched the ball from the backfield.
3:49They elevated Damian Pierce to make the team who also was unable to make a Texans roster last year.
3:55That was downright horrific. I don't know what to expect from him.
3:59I do know because of a bit of a prop better.
4:02Will Shipley's rush and receiving yard prop combined is like 53, which felt so low.
4:07I'm going to be betting it, but also felt very low for a player we're expecting to shoulder the backfield load.
4:14I don't know what we're going to get from it.
4:17Hurts hasn't looked good. Eagles had Lane Johnson walk away.
4:20Then they trade Cam Juergens' offensive line. It's probably not going to get any better in this one.
4:26Jacksonville feels like a very clear fever. However, last point, the way that they're beating people, the Jaguars, I mean, has left
4:33a lot of the Jaguars skill players disappointing us.
4:36Trevor Lawrence has 14 total fourth quarter drop backs.
4:39I think he scored like six total points in those 60 minutes of play.
4:43So I think you're rolling with your Jaguars. Parker Washington's been on the down.
4:48I think he bounces back. What did I miss?
4:51What are you into in this one? I mean, just to circle back, because I know people who have been scouring waivers
4:58for usable running backs this week are just thinking, do I go Will Shipley?
5:02Or do I go this other random guy that I also don't really trust?
5:07One thing I do have to point out about Shipley is that prop says a lot about what the expectations are for
5:14a guy who has had double digit touches just once in his NFL career.
5:18And in that game, he didn't even cross double digit fantasy points, even in PPR formats.
5:23So I don't like Damian Pierce. I also don't like what Damian Pierce is set to do to the utilization and workload of Will Shipley.
5:31So I just don't see enough dump offs from Jalen Hurts to say, oh, we can even guarantee five catches, you know,
5:39and 25 yards receiving for Will Shipley. Again, I understand things are gross.
5:43I'm fine using Will Shipley were absolutely direly needed.
5:46If Dallas Cotter was out, I'd actually feel better about it.
5:49Dallas Cotter, the only other guy on the Eagles that I'm actually considering slotting in.
5:54Don Hibbenwicks, huge disappointment last week, John. I don't think that they know how they want to use them in relation to
6:01how Jalen Hurts wants to use him. Like there's just so much that is out of sync between quarterback and coaching staff
6:08that it makes it really hard to trust anybody besides his security blanket for a long time, which is Dallas Goddard.
6:15So I have Goddard actually as a top eight play this week, John, at tight end.
6:20That's how much confidence I have in him. But do you have confidence in the other pass catchers?
6:26I don't know. I was hoping to ask you about Makai Lemon, who the production hasn't been great, but at the very
6:33least, we're seeing like an increase in role. And a lot of times, you know, these rookies that may have sat to
6:40start the year, we'd be talking about post by, you know, rookie bugs and second half breakouts and stuff.
6:46So he's already 115 routes deep. The sad thing is he only has 15 targets for 10 receptions.
6:52All the advanced metrics are really bad. And the A dot is really short.
6:56And he's, you know, closing in on 25 routes per first down.
7:00You really want to be around 10. And so the efficiency has not been there.
7:05You answered the Wicks question. I'm a little bit worried.
7:08What do you think about Lemon? I mean, at the very least, don't they have to manufacture touches to him?
7:15Jacksonville is not very friendly up front. Josh Allen's too.
7:18The other one. And he is a nasty character up there, man.
7:22That Jacksonville defense is beating people up. Hurts has been off target.
7:25I think maybe they try and get Lemon some volume.
7:29But the more I look at this, it's getting worse and worse for the Eagles.
7:33I mean, I get that they'll try to force some creative volume.
7:37He did double his previous season high in targets for what that's worth last week.
7:42But it was not worth much to your fantasy team.
7:45Because again, I just, I feel like it's a guy that they drafted and then immediately were like, oh, I guess we
7:52have to figure out how to use them. And they haven't done that.
7:57And I don't know how much of that is because they don't have their leading wide receiver, you know, Devante Smith in there.
8:04And there was a plan to bring, you know, the rookie along slowly.
8:08And now they can't do that. It's a bummer.
8:11I mean, the only wide receiver in this game, truly, that I want to start is Parker Washington.
8:17And I understand some people don't even want to start Parker Washington on the Jacksonville side because he hasn't looked like he did those first two games.
8:25You know, he went from having a 36% target share in weeks one and two to 14% in the last two weeks.
8:32And so you go, well, can I trust anybody at all ever in this game?
8:37And especially it being in London, that's just a whole other layer that is often bad for fantasy purposes.
8:43So, you know, Basial Tootin, though, we're excited about him.
8:47Yeah. Oh, 100%. I think he's a, I think he's a must-starter.
8:50I don't think we've even seen the beginning, right?
8:53We have not yet begun to fight. But the Jalen Hurts stuff, he's so inaccurate right now, really off target, worst numbers
9:00of his career, and that's leading to a lack of yak, a yak lack, which you're going to need for a guy like Levin.
9:08Meaning a guy like Levin, you've got to put the ball in the right place so he can catch it in stride and move with it.
9:16We haven't seen that. I think Jacksonville kills. So hopefully we get some fourth quarter production from the Jags because you basically have to start them.
9:25Next up, the Colts, 2-2 at Pittsburgh. 2-2. They're in the Steel City, Jake.
9:29Pittsburgh is a two and a half point favorite with a 42 point total, which again, basically tells me books like a little bit indifferent on this one.
9:38Not really sure where to go. And I think I pretty much agree.
9:42The Colts offense, I mean, it depends what phase we're talking about, right?
9:47The pass phase is bad and seemingly getting worse every week.
9:50The Daniel Jones stuff is getting worse every week.
9:53They haven't been able to solve those route redundancy issues we've been addressing for a couple weeks.
9:58You know, even whether Keenan Allen is playing, him, Warren, Josh Downs all seem to occupy the same parts of the field, which makes them easier to defend.
10:07Even though Downs was getting two wide receiver snap shares, not really doing much with it because you've got to challenge those extra blades of grass.
10:16So as much as I like Downs, I think that's been the reason for his kind of lack of production.
10:22And as much as I like Tyler Warren, who is certainly like a part of the offense, he's earning nearly seven targets a game.
10:30It's really bad. You know, his ADOT is 2.3.
10:33We're bordering on like running back territory. So I'm not really a fan of Indy, but if they're able to run, right, they can be effective.
10:41Obviously, Jonathan Taylor is a multiple touchdown machine. Steelers, bottom five in yak per con, yak, right?
10:47Yards after contact per rush, excuse me. And long rush is something if you're not going to tackle Jonathan Taylor in that
10:54second level, he's going to make it to the third or all the way to the paint.
10:59So I see where the mixed signals come in.
11:02Michael Pittman's going to miss this one for the Steelers.
11:05So I think it's wheels up for DK Metcalf.
11:08I've been going back and forth because Roman Wilson actually took the snaps from Jeremy Bernard.
11:13I don't think you could play them both. And Pat Farnruth now and Donald Washington are both splitting, kind of canceling each other out.
11:21Not like Rogers has been accurate enough to feed all these assets.
11:25I don't know. I've got a lot of mixed signals here.
11:28I'm kind of avoiding this one. If I can, I'm starting downs.
11:32I'm starting Taylor and I, and starting Metcalf in Jalen Warren, although Rico Dowd might be back to cannibalize some of that fantasy goodness that we got.
11:41What do you think about this one? It's messy.
11:44It's very messy. Yes. Jonathan Taylor, you start him surprise.
11:47I would still say, regardless of Rico Dowdow's status, you start Jalen Warren just because he's proven enough now, you know how
11:54big the trust thing is with Aaron Rodgers. And he's been out there more recently.
11:59Rico Dowdow has not. So even if they're going to try to force, you know, Rico Dowdow to run the ball a
12:06little bit more, he's not getting passes from Aaron Rodgers in this game.
12:10I don't believe. It also gives me no pleasure whatsoever to state this, but I do think Aaron Rogers is probably startable
12:17in your league back-to-back weeks with yards and three touchdowns.
12:20I know. I don't like it coming out of my mouth, but I would be doing a disservice.
12:26I think if I didn't say that this matchup in particular says like one more for the road, Aaron Rogers can do
12:33one more for the road against the Colts. Now you mentioned how inaccurate he's been.
12:38This is a career low completion percentage that he's sitting at.
12:42He can't run. He's taken more sacks than any other QB this year.
12:46There are much worse times ahead for this old guy.
12:49I just don't think that's going to happen this week against the Colts.
12:53So if you got to start Rogers, I'd say go for it.
12:57And then maybe look, if you can find somebody to bite in a trade, especially if you're in a two QB super
13:04flex league or something like that, then get them off there.
13:08Now you said that you're confident or not confident, but you're starting DK Metcalf and I get it.
13:13You can start him against the Colts. I would just lower your expectations quite a bit from last week.
13:19Cause like even the passes Rogers were throwing his way.
13:23They, they didn't look good. Most of them, a lot of busted coverage kind of stuff.
13:28That's where DK really made any hay. So I would say, you know, I'll start Roman Wilson.
13:33Cause I think the rapport he's developed with Rogers is, is something, you know, I don't know if they're talking in the,
13:40in the locker room about how they both think wifi is the root cause of feline AIDS or whatever, whatever conspiracy theory
13:47that is required for a guy to get targets from Aaron Rogers, but I'm fine with them.
13:53And yeah, Tyler Warren is such a bomber. Johnny's supposed to be so much better.
13:58I'm, I might have more confidence in Laquan Treadwell out of anybody that is catching passes from Daniel Jones.
14:04And that speaks to the state of the room and how they're using these guys.
14:08And it's not good. Oh, so much condemnation going on right there.
14:12Yeah. I think it is okay to start Pittsburgh.
14:15Lucky for us, my expectations are about as low as they can go.
14:19So, but if you're struggling, you know, DK is playing basically every snap they're earning targets.
14:25But again, Rogers almost uncharacteristically inaccurate, but at nearly 42 dropbacks a game, there is at least some potential for goodness against a bad secondary.
14:33Yeah. It's, it's bad and getting worse. We're getting like these double digit weak fields right now with all the injuries and moving parts.
14:40All right. Next up, Minnesota Vikings. They're undefeated somehow.
14:43I mean, they really could have, should have, and would have lost that game to Miami if Miami was even viable at all.
14:51They're on the road against my Saints who will try to come marching in once more as two point dogs at home.
14:58Another 42 point total, which feels a little bit irregular, right?
15:01The Saints, all the plays, the Kellen Moore stuff is just famous at this point.
15:06But so is the Brian Flores kind of defensive pressure.
15:09Nobody kind of leaning on the gas pedal like he is.
15:13I mean, the pressure and blitz numbers are just outrageous for the Vikings.
15:17They're below five yards of play allowed success rate up near 64.
15:21These are all top of the board. The thing when you play at that speed, Jake, is you do leave yourself vulnerable for big plays.
15:29So as good as the Vikings have been against the rush, they're allowing a double digit explosive rush rate.
15:35And as good as they've been against the pass, which they have, you know, lead leading in opposed or pass rating at 67, completion rate allowed at 51.
15:44They also are near the bottom of the board, bottom three in yards per reception over 13 and yak per reception up near seven.
15:51That one's actually dead last. So you're going to have to look for your big piece elements.
15:57So to me on the Saints, it's pretty easy.
16:00We'll probably see an abandonment of the run early and peppering of the three headed monster, Juwan Johnson, Devon, Vele and Chris Alave.
16:07Maybe I should have put them in order. The big play really would go to Alave.
16:12But I think those three guys are going to be really, really busy.
16:17You're going to need efficiency. It's hard to find against the Vikings.
16:20But I do think you can roll with your Saints pass catchers again because the Saints have at least showed that they're unafraid, right?
16:28They're unafraid to challenge. They're not going to go quietly into the night.
16:32I think Kyler Murray looks awful. I think you have to roll with Aaron Jones because of the volume and Justin Jefferson for the same.
16:40Addison also on the injury report, which is an extra boost for Jefferson.
16:44You've been mentioning K1 locking in on his wide receiver one.
16:48So yeah, Jefferson totally viable as little as I think about Murray.
16:52This one feels pretty clean sticking with the stars.
16:55I'm not trying to get too cute in a game with such a low total.
17:00Yeah, I'm not either. And again, this is the worst possible time for the Panthers and Chiefs to have their bye weeks
17:07because you look at so many of these games where you should be able to rely on your studs.
17:13And it doesn't feel like there's a lot of those opportunities.
17:16Chris Olave, he said they should pepper him. And I hope that you're right.
17:21And I do think that you're right. But it wouldn't shock me if we got out of this game and Chris Olave
17:28has 15 targets and he has, you know, 65 yards because it's just one of those shutdown games.
17:34And the Saints are just forced to try literally anything to match up to Flores.
17:38And I don't know that, unfortunately, that they're up for it.
17:42I could see Alvin Kamara getting a respectable number of dump offs.
17:46And in this gross running back landscape, I do think that Alvin Kamara is actually fine to start.
17:52Fine, not great. But he's only fine to start because Kendra Miller, the Saints do not want to do anything with Kendra Miller.
17:59And this has been coaching staff after coaching staff.
18:02So clearly we need to stop trying to make Kendra Miller happen.
18:06It ain't going to happen. But that does at least solidify Kamara's value a little bit, I would say.
18:12We do have to mention, of course, Chris Olave.
18:15Weird injury thing this week that I just want to call out.
18:18Like he was given a rest day on Wednesday and then he was limited at Thursday's practice with a foot injury.
18:25But was this a known foot injury? Was it a new foot injury?
18:29And Tyler Shuck is also dealing with an injury to his non-throwing hand.
18:34It's just a lot of bukh. It's a lot of bukh.
18:37But the one guy that like no matter what from this game that I want in every lineup is Aaron Jones.
18:44You called it out. Saints defense. It's it's it's bad.
18:47It's just bad. And right now they're competing with the Lions to be the easiest matchup in a lot of ways for fantasy.
18:54So take advantage while you can. Yeah. Yeah. One last thing before we hop into our first break.
19:00You know, there's a lot of people scrambling for those last second ads.
19:04I've been trying to make a conscious effort to put some of those kind of dark horse waver door throws.
19:11I scooped up CJ Donaldson wherever I could for the Saints.
19:14I know Kamara has been getting the work. He's at three YPA.
19:18Kendra Miller, who I'm going to stop trying to make a thing.
19:22He's at two point eight YPA. Meanwhile, Donaldson is up over four.
19:26He's the only one with a yard before contact per rush over one and a quarter.
19:31The only one with yards after contact per attempt over two and a half.
19:35The only one with a positive EPA or a good success rate.
19:39He's kind of a big boy. Maybe he assumes some of the baseline work and some of the goal line stuff going
19:46forward for the Saints, which could be interesting. Again, I do not think the Kamara stuff, at least the running part of his game is sustainable.
19:55All right, let's hop into the first one. Great stuff, Jake.

20:47Hey, everybody. It's me, W. Kamau Bell. This season of my podcast, who's with me, I speak with two-time Emmy winner and
20:54weirdly one of my best friends, Kevin Avery. Everything up to that point, Bill Jew is a comic.
21:00Us going on the road, doing Battle Mountain and Ely and all this shit.
21:04Yeah, you took me. You were one of the first people who took me on the road, which is funny because at
21:11the time I was like, I don't know if I like this guy.
21:16With rapper, actor, Daveed Diggs. The jump off for me was Hamilton and it was the most popular thing in a very long time.
21:23But it was still for me. It was me and my friends making something dumb.
21:28Bruce Lee's daughter and Brandon Lee's sister, Shannon Lee.

21:49I'm Fox Sports reporter Jenny Taft. And on our new podcast, Whatever It Takes, we're talking motherhood, marriages, careers, and figuring out how to balance it all.
21:58And we'll discuss the game that brought us together because nothing is off limits.
22:02Do you remember your initial reaction when Fox called you to be a part of the World Cup?
22:08I was like, no, I don't want to do it.
22:11You said no? I played with players that didn't, I don't think that they really, truly love the game.
22:17I found the love with the ball at my foot.
22:20But in my head, it was the long game.
22:23It was like, I don't care what I'm being asked to do at Fox.
22:28I'm going to go get some reps and I'm going to learn it and love it and embrace it.
22:34He said, this group of people will never be in the same room as part of the same team ever again in your life.
22:42And it is your job to make sure that you enjoy the moment.
22:46You're proud of what you accomplish together. Listen to Whatever It Takes with Carly Lloyd and Jenny Taft on the iHeartRadio app,
22:53Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, everybody.
22:56I'm Chuck Bryan of the Stuff You Should Know podcast.
22:59And I'm Adam Pranica of The Greatest Generation and Greatest Trek.
23:03We decided to start a golf comedy podcast because we're both big golf lovers.
23:07And we wanted to spread that joy. And it's called three-putt bogey.
23:11It's coming from the perspective of golfers who are sometimes good enough to hit two great shots in a row, but almost never good enough to hit three.
23:20And a three-putt bogey is kind of the purest expression of that.
23:24Every golfer knows what that's like. Obviously, we're going to talk a lot about the game of golf, how absurd it is
23:31and how fun it is and how vexing and frustrating.
23:34But more than anything, just how much we love the greatest game in the world.
23:39We love it anyway. We're putting these out every Friday morning for your weekend golf routine.
23:44This is a show about sharing our experiences on the golf course and how absurd and funny they can be.
23:51And that's what three-putt bogey is. It's three-putt bogey, everybody, out every Friday.
23:55You can listen to it now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
24:01All right. Welcome back. Fantasy Football Weekly as we head into NFL Week 5.
24:05All the hot and heavy, actionable fantasy news and notes, breakdowns, stats, everything in between.
24:10With Jake and John, make sure you're checking out MB Fantasy Life and Matthew Berry's lovely website.
24:15I've got game-by-game write-ups if you would like to see some more of my musings.
24:20These, I just can't bring it in any shorter than about 15,000 words, Jake.
24:25I know you've got some good Dynasty stuff there.
24:28Yeah, a lot of the stuff there is really great.
24:31The utilization tool is really good. And I like Matthew Friedman's game model.
24:35You know, these things will just help you keep grounded in reality before we start, you know, having delusions of grandeur.
24:42Speaking of which, Cleveland Browns are 3-1 with an eyeball on the division.
24:46And I'm about to say something nice about Deshaun Watson.
24:49I don't know what is going on, man. But it is the truth.
24:53Browns 3-1 on the road in MetLife to face the JETS.
24:57Jets, even at 1-3, are a 2.5 point favorite.
25:00So, markets not necessarily believe in what they see from Watson.
25:03I'm a little bit worried about the Jets and the injuries, right?
25:07Missing Brees Hall, even missing A.D. Mitchell, which I think is going to loom large in this one.
25:13Jake, Cleveland's defense is not great by any stretch.
25:16However, they do kind of have a particular style and they beat it to death.
25:20So, they're the number one, you know, man team with a bullet by like 15 ticks.
25:26You know, they are the number one nickel team with a bullet by probably five ticks.
25:31Same for cover one. Those would normally be a dream for a guy like Mitchell and Geno Smith.
25:37That, you know, symbiosis, that battery looking to take advantage of one-on-one stuff.
25:41We've seen A.D. get those deep targets without him.
25:44It's just not the same. You know, obviously Garrett Mitchell is a better receiver than A.D., but I think stylistically they really work well together without him.
25:52I don't have a lot of confidence, you know, in that Jets offense.
25:56The defense on the Jets side has looked a little bit meh and the Cleveland offense just looks functional, right?
26:03Watson with the new Monk and stuff. All I've noticed, Jake, the only thing I've noticed is they're turning sacks into scramble first downs.
26:11That's a huge deal, right? Deshaun ate five sacks week one.
26:14They look terrible. All of a sudden, he's now tucking and running with those.
26:19And again, he doesn't look like his old Houston stuff.
26:22But that's a huge EPA boost. That's just a huge boost in general, that, you know, that double swing like in dodgeball.
26:29So I don't know how you don't like the Browns in this one.
26:33I think the standard Jets should be able to do their thing.
26:37You know, Browns have been beatable on the ground.
26:40So I think Braylon Allen getting, you know, one million percent of all the touches for the Jets after Hall went down makes him viable.
26:48But I'm not really interested in a lot of this.
26:51Denzel Boston's been getting enough work, which is fine.
26:54Also Fannin for the tight end positions probably enough.
26:57The Casey Concepcion thing, I just don't know. It feels like a lot of empty calories.
27:02Another like really low A dot guy. But Fannin with that redundancy, kind of getting the high value work that we'd want from Concepcion.
27:10So I think the Browns actually win as dogs.
27:12And I think Deshaun Watson and Denzel Boston are startable again with Fannin.
27:17But there's not a lot I like here. How about you?
27:20In this game overall, I'm most disappointed in the probable output of Garrett Wilson, because I don't think that Isaiah Williams does
27:27the same thing to a defense, as you were saying, as Adonai Mitchell would do.
27:32Now that actually, I would say that you could probably start Isaiah Williams this week, if you are desperate and need a flex, actually.
27:40I mean, last week he didn't see a ton of targets, but he did go out there and he, you know, caught
27:47himself a touchdown, had like 70 yards. And I don't know that Garrett Wilson has a big day.
27:53You have to start Garrett Wilson. I'm not saying that it'll be as bad as last week, because the defensive matchup is just, it's not as terrifying.
28:01But outside of that, yeah, Denzel Boston is getting, you know, enough work and it's the big play stuff.
28:07And that's really attractive. Casey Concepcion, as you mentioned, is certainly not the big play stuff.
28:12I think that they are doing with Casey Concepcion what the Eagles are not doing with Mekhi Lemon, though, which is actually
28:20trying creative ways to really get him positive yardage.
28:22Whereas with Mekhi Lemon, it feels like, yeah, you can call it creative, but they're doing the same creative things over and over.
28:30So that's not what's happening with Concepcion. So I actually don't mind Concepcion this week either as a flex play.
28:36I think what we have to talk about is Quinshawn Judkins, though.
28:40Judkins, who coming into this year certainly was not somebody who we were expecting to have a high ceiling because he is
28:47in that Nick Chubb mold, but less explosive. Or like, yeah, he's going to run a lot, but he's not going to catch any passes.
28:55And so there are some games where you're just not going to like Quinshawn Judkins.
29:00Meanwhile, Judkins out here last week, he's catching seven, six targets, six receptions, 43 yards.
29:05That's all you could ask for, for any running back, let alone somebody like Judkins, who you weren't expecting that from.
29:12So I would definitely start Judkins this week. I don't think Braylon Allen is really in the cards for me as like a high upside play.
29:20But again, it's gross out there at running back.
29:23This is the question you're going to have to have with yourself sometimes is, do I want to start Braylon Allen or
29:30do I want to start Will Shipley? Like that's a real question people have to ask.
29:35I would personally go with Braylon Allen, John. Yeah, I think for the matchup, I would.
29:40Though that was a really good kind of 1v1 because I clench, right?
29:44When you do that in your office chair, I got kind of stiff.
29:48Yeah, really good catch on Judkins, you know, and whether it's like a modern renaissance or if it's just the subsequent effect
29:55of losing Dylan Sampson, absolutely a great call out because as Judkins gets further into the season, the year to date stuff is really starting to thicken.
30:04He's now at 14% of the team target share.
30:07I mean, once you're in the double digits, that's, I don't want to say like elite, but that's the really kind of top tier, right?
30:15That's when we start thinking about dual threat backs.
30:18And if Deshaun Watson is going to play at least league average quarterback, then we're talking about a, you know, dual threat
30:25back on a league average offense, which is something that we're definitely interested in, which is the very least put Judkins, you
30:32know, tiers ahead of the other guys that we mentioned.
30:35Maybe there's even a big game in there at some point.
30:39Yeah, it's been interesting. Jets defense has not been great on the rush side, although the Judkins rushed up also efficiency wise.
30:46He, you know, he's still, he's just at three yards per attempt, but I kind of blame it on the offensive line, which we knew would be bad.
30:55He's at a half a yard before contact, hard to do anything like that, but a 36% success rate and zero explosive
31:02runs is going to cap the ceiling. But I think you just have to keep hitting it, right?
31:08The backfield opportunity share has been really good. I think it will continue to be really good.
31:13He's at another magic number on that one, 80%.
31:16When a running back is at a double digit team target share and 80% of all the backfield opportunities, I'm like, it's hard to ask for much more.
31:25All right, let's move on to the next one.
31:28Sorry, I think my, I'm surprised the Jets are a favorite.
31:31I just think they're going to lose. I hate the IKB, I know better, the betting markets.
31:37I know this is a fantasy show, but it's a good way to kind of find information and where to lean.
31:44The leaning should be the other way. I'm just not really seeing it.
31:48I also forgot Kenyon Sadiq, who I think is a tight end one back end.
31:53Bengals, two and two, lots of injury stuff going on here.
31:56They're on the road against the winless Dolphins. Would you believe money?
32:00Again, this is happening every week. I can't help but to put the betting lights on it sometimes because again, this market is sharp.
32:08Money coming in on the Dolphins again, Jake, they were seven and a half point underdogs.
32:13They're there, six and a half point underdogs. They're inside that critical touchdown number for whatever that's worth in this wonky world we live in.
32:21Reason's got to be the Bengals pass catchers. I think Higgins is pretty much out.
32:26Jamar Chase did practice, but until I see a full practice and clearing of the protocol, I'm kind of assuming that he's out.
32:33Dante Myers, who kind of stepped out of nowhere to assume in every down roll, he actually led the team in pretty much everything.
32:41I was surprised we didn't see an overreaction from the fantasy universe, just kind of blanket at him and figure it out
32:48afterwards because he could be a guy that also maybe whisper type would be the same thing for Mitchell Tinsley, maybe even Mike Kosicki.
32:56I don't know how much further this goes down range.
32:59I guess Chase Brown's in line for another million catches.
33:02Miami, I'm off, my man. Gordon had a nice game and I get it.
33:06Good for people who added him, but it really wasn't efficient.
33:10It was not great. And I don't expect it to be great going forward because I think the Bengals offense, even missing
33:17those pass catchers, still has Joe Burrow who could carve up this defense.
33:21I don't know. I just see the Bengals killing it.
33:24I've been a Bengals apologist. So maybe I'll just pump the brakes and pass it to you.
33:30Somebody has to apologize for him. There's not a lot of Bengals apologists out there anymore, I don't think.
33:36This is Mitchell Tinsley thing. Yikes. Again, how is this happening in week five?
33:40And I'm reluctant to trust either of them in this situation.
33:44Even if Jamar Chase is out and Tee Higgins are out, it just feels like a game where the Bengals aren't going
33:51to have to do as much as they did last week to get them so continuously involved.
33:56We're like, I could see Chase Brown, as you mentioned, a million gazillion targets last week.
34:02He had 10 yards rushing and ended up with 19.1 PPR points.
34:05That's how involved Chase Brown was from the receiving portion of things.
34:09And Mike Gesicki has definitely proven that the Bengals finally have a tight end one, which we have not experienced in quite some time in Cincinnati.
34:18It's always been like, oh, this guy by default should be the tight end one.
34:22And then we're always disappointed. Gesicki, yeah, a lot of his work or a lot of his fantasy production has been touchdown
34:30dependent, but welcome to every tight end outside of the top six.
34:33That's often how it is with that position. So I'm going to chase after Mike Gesicki again this week.
34:39I think we probably have the biggest difference of opinion, John, on Ollie Gordon, because I was one of many who was
34:47like, I'm fine to pick up Ollie Gordon last week off waivers, but I really don't want to start him against Minnesota.
34:54That's not the matchup where I want to throw Ollie Gordon out there if I don't have to.
34:59And I know that he wasn't efficient in general, but if you can break off a 50 plus yard play as a
35:06running back in that situation, I say, okay, that's more upside than a lot of these really gross running backs that we've already been talking about.
35:15Again, the Will Shipley's again, the Braylon Allen's like, give me Ollie Gordon 10 times out of 10 above those guys, because
35:22I don't see Jalen Wright as being any kind of, you know, stick in the mud, stick in the spoke or whatever for Ollie Gordon.
35:30We should mention, I just got the alert, John, as we were recording that the Dolphins did pick up Katron Allen, who
35:37was just dropped by the commanders earlier this week.
35:40So, you know, down the road, they might say, well, we, you know, we need somebody else, but that's not going to be this week.
35:48I'm not putting Katron Allen anywhere near my lineup.
35:51Yeah. Since he has actually struggled with explosive runs.
35:54So maybe you do get another big one from Gordon.
35:57Gusecki has three end zone targets, which is excellent, which is going to kind of, you know, especially for a really good team.
36:04And I think with major cogs of the machine missing, I think that really makes Gusecki a feature in the green zone, right?
36:12So he's a really strong pop for a touchdown and should probably be started.
36:16Last thing for me, at least, I want to make a good call out on the Meyer stuff, right?
36:22So maybe I sounded a little over my skis.
36:25And I think your point about reduction of the pie is very fitting, right?
36:30So yeah, Dante Myers, he had nine targets. He went seven for 82.
36:34Joe Burrows, number one target. Holy macaroni. He ran 54 routes.
36:37So that's just a 16 and a half target per route, 1.5 yard per route.
36:42I've been calling them advanced metric stats. It's good, but it's not great.
36:46And meaning if you scale that down to a, call it a normal game or a game where there isn't a million plays being run.
36:54Yeah. Maybe he's going, you know, three for scoreless 41 and we feel pretty disappointed.
36:59Like would you say Malik, Malik Washington over him in this game?
37:03I think I want to know for sure if Jamar Chase is playing.
37:07I think if Chase is out, I'm just going to go with the number one target in the Bengals just for a potential upside.
37:15Cause I think the Washington stuff is cap. Although he really should be rostered everywhere.
37:20I'm surprised when you see guys getting that kind of usage that don't have universal roster ship.
37:25Dolphins doing a pretty good job. It's another guy like we'd love to see the Malik Washington use for other guys.
37:32He's getting jet sweeps and getting running plays. He runs some deep stuff.
37:36He's running hook routes, option routes. He's doing all this, all kinds of stuff.
37:40They're forcing him to ball. I just, we haven't seen the growth, you know, the intra season growth from the Dolphins that
37:48I was hoping for, you know, Willis still hasn't gone over 220 yards and that was week one.
37:53And then again, I know it was the Vikings, so maybe they pop off again, but I just like to see him run a little bit more.
38:02I think Willis is got to be more of a main cog in that offense when he doesn't like what he sees.
38:09I'd like to see him tuck and run. He looks, looks pretty athletic with the ball in his hand.
38:15He looks pretty dangerous with his ball in his hand.
38:18We just haven't seen that. All right, Jake, that was the most, you know, boring segment of the show.
38:24I promise it's going to get a little more exciting when we're back on Fantasy Football Weekly.
38:30We got Raiders and Patriots, Giants and Commanders. All right, let's go.
38:34You got Jake. You got John. Fantasy Football Weekly, week five edition.
38:38Fantasy football players love to tell ourselves we're being rational.
38:41We're looking at the data. We're studying the matchup.
38:44We've got to process. And then Sunday starts. I'm not checking my lineup every five minutes.
38:49Of course you are. Suddenly you're watching a backup tight end you barely thought about all week because you need 12 more yards.
38:56Now you know exactly how many targets he has.
38:59You know how many routes he's run. You know where the next red zone possession needs to go.
39:05And when he finally catches the ball, that might be the most important eight yard gain of your entire afternoon.
39:11That's Fantasy Football. Every target, every carry, every yard.
39:14That's also what I like about Underdog. Download Underdog to play Keep Your Million.

39:53Us going on the road, doing Battle Mountain and Ely.
39:56Yeah, you took me. You were one of the first people who took me on the road.
40:02Which is funny because at the time I was like, I don't know if I like this guy.
40:07With rapper, actor, Daveed Diggs. The jump off for me was Hamilton and it was the most popular thing in a very long time.
40:15Yeah. But it was still, for me, it was me and my friends making something dumb.

40:41I'm Fox Sports reporter Jenny Taft. And on our new podcast, Whatever It Takes, we're talking motherhood, marriages, careers, and figuring out how to balance it all.
40:50And we'll discuss the game that brought us together because nothing is off limits.
40:55Do you remember your initial reaction when Fox called you to be a part of the World Cup?
41:00I was like, no, I don't want to do it.
41:04You said no? I played with players that didn't, I don't think that they really, truly love the game.
41:10I found the love with the ball at my foot.
41:13But in my head, it was the long game.
41:16It was like, I don't care what I'm being asked to do at Fox.
41:20I'm going to go get some reps and I'm going to learn it and love it and embrace it.
41:26He said, this group of people will never be in the same room as part of the same team ever again in your life.
41:34And it is your job to make sure that you enjoy the moment.
41:38You're proud of what you accomplish together. Listen to Whatever It Takes with Carly Lloyd and Jenny Taft on the iHeartRadio app,
41:45Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You're not incurable.
41:49You're not broken. You're having a normal human experience and we have a solution for that.
41:54And that solution is our show, Free Therapy. I'm Ben.
41:57And I'm Kevin. And we think everyone could use a little bit of therapy, including us.
42:02Absolutely. That's why each week we sit down with a different therapist to talk about the things we're all dealing with.
42:09If you're trying to get rid of anxiety, you're actually fueling more anxiety.
42:13We talked to some of the leading therapists in the country about all of life's headaches, work, family dynamics, and of course, dating and relationships.
42:21Everyone chooses a different set of problems, challenges, flaws.
42:24You have to figure out which set of problems you're willing to work with.
42:29So listen to Free Therapy with Ben and Kevin on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
42:35Because therapy is expensive, but our podcast is free!
42:38All right, everybody. We're back. It's Jake and John, Fantasy Football Weekly.
42:42That's number five. Check out FantasyLife.com. All the goodies over there.
42:46My game-by-game write-ups. Matty Friedman's game model for the betting folk.
42:49And of course, Dwayne McFarlane's world-famous utilization report. You can not only use a dark mode, you know, I mention it every week, Jake.
42:57But now you can sort for weeks and kind of cut off weeks and see, like, once there's been a replacement or
43:04an injury, how that response has been. And it's really, really helpful because it's not just snap share.
43:10It's the quality of the targets, where they happen and stuff.
43:13So it really is a really nice tool. Make sure you check that one out.
43:18Got to thank you for helping me out with some injury stuff with this next one, at least.
43:24We got Raiders going to Foxborough to face the Patriots.
43:27Raiders, one of the bigger positive surprises at 3-1.
43:30Patriots, not so much, although they did turn around.
43:33I called that win against Buffalo. Gold star in my big nose there.
43:37Patriots, 2-2 at home, 3.5-point favorites. 42-point total, 45-point total, excuse me.
43:41I'm modeled to the under because I think this is going to be more of a defensive battle.
43:47The injury stuff we mentioned, all right, Ashen Gentty, running back for the Raiders, who's been getting a ton of work.
43:53Doesn't look great running it. Doesn't look very good catching it.
43:57He's been downgraded. Downgraded. He went from full to limited to DNP.
44:01I don't know if he'll play. I think it's questionable right now.
44:05But Mike Washington run to the waiver wire yesterday to add him.
44:08And on the Patriots side, Matt Collins is out.
44:11The Ramondre-Stevens stuff, I'm not sure. Not like Travion is available.
44:15But he would be an absolute star. Obviously, a smash star for DFS and everywhere else.
44:20If Mondre is out. I don't know if Rabel said he's not out yet.
44:25That's a quote. And when Mondre was asked himself, he said he's quote-unquote ready to go.
44:30So I don't know what to make of this.
44:33My note, as always, and again, another gold star on my nose, Jake, has been calling out Clint Kubiak's matching alignment to talent.
44:40We all knew they've been struggling in the Raiders, that is, with pass-catching talent.
44:44Also, Jalen Naylor is out. Not that that even matters.
44:48But we knew that, even with Bowers back, that we're going to find a spot for Michael Mayer.
44:53This was one of my favorite stats in that write-up I mentioned.
44:5712 personnel for the Raiders through two weeks. Was that 33%?
45:01That's, like, below league average. I don't even know.
45:04I'm not going to make you guess on air.
45:07The last two weeks, it's over 85%. That's, like, completely unheard of.
45:10Yeah, no one is running two tight end sets at that.
45:14But it's because Brock Bowers can move in and offline, create all types of match-up nightmares, and it disallows the defense from changing personnel.
45:22It's been part of the Raiders' success. Also, the play-action stuff, where a guy like Trey Tucker, who might be flawed, while
45:29you have to account for Bowers and have to account for Jente and even someone account for Mayer, Trey Tucker, sometimes when
45:36there's protection in the play-action game, you find him running free, and that's why he's been good.
45:41Patriots has been more defensive than anything, though. Drake May running, looking good.
45:45The chemistry with Dobbs is looking good. I think he's a must-start.
45:49But Patriots really in desperate need of a vertical threat.
45:52To me, I think I mentioned all the guys I'm interested in.
45:56I'm not looking to get cute in this one, especially when my own model is under an already kind of mediocre total.
46:03What do you think about Raiders and Patriots? Here's what I want to say about the Patriots.
46:09One, I really hope that Ramondre Stevenson is truly ready to go.
46:13Also, what does he's not out yet even mean?
46:16Why do coaches find the dumbest, most insulting ways to talk about injuries with their players?
46:21Can you just pretend to have half of a heart or half of a conscience when you're reporting this stuff?
46:27Anyway. Yeah, meanwhile, this injury report brought to you by Bandool and DraftKings and other sports books, which...
46:33It's brutal. It's absolutely brutal. But Ramondre Stevenson, if he does play, I like him more than Trevion.
46:39I know that him and Trevion got basically split down the middle in terms of rushing Cher last week.
46:45But in terms of the pass catching, it is Ramondre Stevenson.
46:48It's not even a question about who they trust more when they want somebody to be involved in the receiving work.
46:55A.J. Brown, Matt Collins are both out. I like Ramondre a good bit if he plays.
47:00Trevion Henderson, yes, I like him if Ramondre does sit.
47:03But I still don't think that he's going to get utilized that much in the passing game.
47:09The biggest bump to me would be Hunter Henry, especially if Ramondre Stevenson is out.
47:14We saw Henry get pretty heavy usage last week.
47:17He's been known to be Drake May's security blanket.
47:19But the problem was Drake May looked so bad those first three weeks that you could barely even notice.
47:25But Drake May, for his part, because I know a lot of people who held on to May are wondering, like, can I still start him now?
47:34And I just want to say May did the bare minimum that was kind of expected last week in a good matchup
47:41with the Bills, where he proved himself to be a matchup-dependent starter for your roster.
47:46But I didn't see more than that. I know people are like, oh, he's back.
47:51I don't know that he's back, back. And the Raiders are a tougher matchup than what you might be thinking, especially if
47:58they are without some of these key pieces like Ramondre Stevenson.
48:01So just pump the brakes on Drake May is all I want to say there.
48:06Kirk Cousins, on the other hand, would be very startable if this wasn't such a rough matchup for him.
48:12Because kudos to old man Kirk somehow. You know, he's doing enough to, if you are forced into starting him, you don't
48:19feel like all hope is lost, which is a different tune, I think, than what people were singing at the beginning of this season.
48:27Obviously, Brock Bowers, you know what to do there.
48:30But Michael Mayer, yeah. Can we also just say Michael Mayer, better tight end two for a team than tight end one?
48:37That happens a lot with wide receivers where you're like, well, he's a great receiver, but he shouldn't be their number one guy.
48:44I think we can just admit that's Michael Mayer for tight ends, right?
48:49Yeah, I think people see tight end two or like backup tight end and won't roster him where he's not.
48:55He's a tight end. Brock Bowers is a Tino or a tight end in name only.
49:00I think your Hunter Henry call it is really good.
49:03And I think he fell into my blind spot when I was adding Eston Chisholm III, just looking for whoever might soak up those targets.
49:11He made a fantastic catch in the end zone, but that kind of stuff is not really sustainable.
49:17Yeah, I don't know. It could be messy. We could see the Raiders are alive in this one again, man.
49:24Especially if you're correct about May and it's a little, you know, less of an ascendancy to what we had last year.
49:31Well, let's get the next one. I really just want your opinion on this one.
49:35I don't have much. Big Blue, New York Giants.
49:38They're three and one somehow. They're on the road in the nation's capital to face the commanders who are returning Jaden Daniels.
49:45News just came down a little while ago. Steph Diggs is going to be out.
49:50There was some injury stuff surrounding Malik Nabors, but I think he's good to go.
49:55He's been practicing all week. Giants are four-point underdogs on the road.
49:59I think they went outright. I don't trust Daniels' sustainability.
50:02Plus, it's not like he was great the first two weeks anyway.
50:06I'm pretty much stuck with all the main cast of characters here.
50:10Anything stick out for you? Giants and commanders? I kind of have this one crossed off, to be honest.
50:16Yeah. Diggs being out does open up some opportunities for Antonio Williams.
50:20I think he would be the big winner, but I think he'd be a bigger winner if Terry McLaurin does start.
50:26I'm assuming Terry McLaurin is going to be out there, but we don't know for sure.
50:32I actually think it would behoove him to not have to be the guy who's running such deep routes, like let Terry
50:39McLaurin do more of that and have Williams operate a little bit underneath.
50:43We should say Antonio Williams almost looked like a stud, at least in the fantasy stat sheets last weekend.
50:4987-yard catch-and-run touchdown that was thrown by seventh-round rookie quarterback, by the way, Ethan Caliamac.
50:54I'm not even going to try to pronounce that last name.
50:57What were they calling him? The Greek? Oh, man.
51:00Something good. It slipped me. It slipped. I don't know.
51:03I've just never seen anybody named Ethan before, so I could check the Baklava bomber.
51:08Thank you, Robbie. The Baklava bomber. That's what it was.
51:11Shout out, Robbie, our excellent production guy here. But I will say, yeah, give Antonio Williams a little bit more of the
51:18underneath routes, and I think you'll be happy with what you get for him in terms of fantasy.
51:24The backfield in Washington, because again, running back is gross.
51:27Austin Eckler is there. Rashad White is expected to play.
51:31They're the same guy. Eckler is just Rashad White four years into the future.
51:35I don't know why they signed him. And then as a corresponding move, got rid of Katron Allen, unless they're just trying
51:42to make themselves officially the oldest team that's ever played active football in the NFL.
51:47Because otherwise, I don't understand. I don't want to start either of these guys, is what I'm saying with that.
51:53If you're desperate, maybe Chigo Conquo. Maybe Chico Conquo can get something done this week, but I really don't have high hopes there.
52:01Malik Nabors had himself, of course, a day last week.
52:04That was nice. 100 yards, first touchdown of the season.
52:07I don't have that high of hope for him against the Commanders.
52:11I know it's a soft matchup, at least on paper.
52:14I think that it'll be a respectable day. I just don't think Jameis is going to have one of his famous 450-yard
52:21kind of days that some people are expecting. Isaiah Likely, though, welcome back into startability.
52:26Yeah, I mean, Winston... It's funny. He's talking about...
52:29I'm going to bring back the Jameis Winston experience.
52:32Whoa, whoa, whoa. Easy, buddy. Easy, buddy. But all kidding aside, he did get the A-dot, which was in the mid-single digits
52:39through that first half a game and then the second full game.
52:43That got into the double digits, and we saw him again attacking downfield to Nabors.
52:48I don't think I'm starting Winston, but I do think I'm starting Likely and Nabors.
52:53Those guys I definitely want a part of. If McLaurin hasn't practiced yet, I think they say they saw him on the field today.
53:00I'm not sure. Good call on the Antonio Williams because the target for route stuff is there.
53:06He's an efficiency monster waiting to break out. This could be a huge piece.
53:10I think he should be rostered universally. Outside of that, it's a little bit scary for Washington because, you know, Traylon Burks
53:17is missing it up with Deami Brown, and now with Chig back in, a lot of that redundancy, Washington has not been shy about sharing routes.
53:26So I would still avoid this one if I could outside of the really big names.
53:31That, Jake, is the halftime whistle marching band getting ready to head on out here.
53:36So that's the first half for our Week 5 edition Fantasy Football Weekly.
53:40We're going to be back in just a minute.
53:43We got Texans Titans, Bears Packers, and Broncos Chargers talking about a little bit of the Bolt season kind of heading down the tubes.
53:50It's Jake and John, Fantasy Football Weekly. Fantasy Football players love to tell ourselves we're being rational.
53:56We're looking at the data. We're studying the matchup.
53:59We've got to process. And then Sunday starts. I'm not checking my lineup every five minutes.
54:04Of course you are. Suddenly you're watching a backup tight end you barely thought about all week because you need 12 more yards.
54:11Now you know exactly how many targets he has.
54:14You know how many routes he's run. You know where the next red zone possession needs to go.
54:20And when he finally catches the ball, that might be the most important eight-yard gain of your entire afternoon.
54:26That's fantasy football. Every target, every carry, every yard.
54:29That's also what I like about Underdog. Download Underdog to play Keep Your Million.

55:04Everything up to that point, Bill G was a comic.
55:08Us going on the road, doing Battle Mountain and Ely and all this shit.
55:12Yeah, you took me, you were one of the first people who took me on the road.
55:18Which is funny because at the time I was like, I don't know if I like this guy.
55:23With rapper, actor, Daveed Diggs. The jump off for me was Hamilton and it was the most popular thing in a very long time.
55:31Yeah. But it was still for me, it was me and my friends making something dumb.

55:54I'm former U.S. Women's National Soccer Team player, Carly Lloyd.
55:57I'm Fox Sports reporter, Jenny Taft. And on our new podcast, Whatever It Takes, we're talking motherhood, marriages, careers, and figuring out how to balance it all.
56:06And we'll discuss the game that brought us together because nothing is off limits.
56:10Do you remember your initial reaction when Fox called you to be a part of the World Cup?
56:16I was like, no, I don't want to do it.
56:19You said no? I played with players that didn't, I don't think that they really, truly love the game.
56:25I found the love with the ball at my foot.
56:28But in my head, it was the long game.
56:31It was like, I don't care what I'm being asked to do at Fox.
56:36I'm going to go get some reps and I'm going to learn it and love it and embrace it.
56:42He said, this group of people will never be in the same room as part of the same team ever again in your life.
56:50And it is your job to make sure that you enjoy the moment, you're proud of what you accomplish together.

57:03Hey, everybody. I'm Chuck Bryan of the Stuff You Should Know podcast.
57:07And I'm Adam Pranica of The Greatest Generation and Greatest Trek.
57:11We decided to start a golf comedy podcast because we're both big golf lovers and we wanted to spread that joy.
57:18And it's called Three Putt Bogey. It's coming from the perspective of golfers who are sometimes good enough to hit two great
57:25shots in a row, but almost never good enough to hit three.
57:28And a three putt bogey is kind of the purest expression of that.
57:33Every golfer knows what that's like. Obviously, we're going to talk a lot about the game of golf, how absurd it is
57:40and how fun it is and how vexing and frustrating.
57:43But more than anything, just how much we love the greatest game in the world.
57:48We love it anyway. We're putting these out every Friday morning for your weekend golf routine.
57:53This is a show about sharing our experiences on the golf course and how absurd and funny they can be.
57:59And that's what Three Putt Bogey is. It's Three Putt Bogey, everybody, out every Friday.
58:04You can listen to it now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
58:10All right. Marching and leaving the field means the second half is ready to kick off here on Fantasy Football Weekly with Jake Trowbridge and John Laghezza.
58:19Make sure you're checking out all the work on FantasyLife.com, Game by Game Breakdowns, Utilization Report, Game Model, tons of articles, start and sit stuff.
58:27Lots of great goodies. And the newsletter also, which is free, is pretty informative every day.
58:32I like a nice quick read. I just make sure that I don't miss anything.
58:37You know, heaven forbid we try and get some sleep.
58:40With your little coffee time, though, it's perfect. You wake up, you have a little coffee, you get a little newsletter.
58:46And I don't want to be bogged down with a novella, right?
58:50If you want that, you can read mine, right?
58:53All the stuffs and the things. All right, let's start it off.
58:57It's a pair of winless AFC South teams, Houston Texans at the Tennessee Titans, Jake.
59:02Titans are seven and a half point underdogs at home with a very low 38 point total.
59:07Why don't you take us away on this one?
59:10Does anyone want to win this division? Anybody at all?
59:13Does someone have to win? I don't know. Maybe that's a good question.
59:18We might find out. We might find out. We're making a zero, zero tie.
59:22Yeah. We might find out officially at the end of this week.
59:26I would say, if you didn't already know, Nico Collins is the Houston Texans offense.
59:31They go as he goes when he suits up.
59:34Obviously, you start him. But, John, when Nico Collins suits up, I feel much better starting other guys as well in this offense because the drives are sustained.
59:43The scoring opportunities feel like they're going to be a lot more fruitful.
59:47Yeah. Dalton Schultz won't get his 14 targets or whatever that are basically meaningless.
59:51So maybe you sit Dalton Schultz when Collins plays.
59:54But otherwise, you know, CJ Stroud, CJ Stroud, I think, gets a decent matchup, obviously against the Titans.
60:00You don't have to throw a lot against the Titans historically.
60:03So that's going to be an interesting thing to watch here, John.
60:07Like how much are they going to actually run against the Titans, which is what so many other teams have done this year.
60:15But it's not as if the Texans have a great running back room.
60:19They've got David Montgomery, who just ever since that multi-touchdown week one has fallen off the face of the earth.
60:25And I think what's worse is that Woody Marks looks better and is getting more stuff around the goal line now.
60:32He's obviously scoring the touchdowns since week one. It just feels like their arrows are pointed in complete opposite directions.
60:38I don't love Woody Marks, but I definitely am comfortable starting him this week.
60:43I'm not so comfortable with Montgomery, unfortunately. So I think the only big question outside of that, John, is just what version
60:50of the Houston Texans defense do we get this week?
60:53Because, you know, weeks one and week four, we get the one where they cough up 400 total yards and 34 plus points.
61:01Now that's the Bills and Cowboys on the other side of things.
61:04Whereas in weeks two and three, their competition, not quite as stiff.
61:08But, you know, they didn't allow anybody to exceed 300 yards or 20 points in those two weeks.
61:14I would guess this week is going to look more like that.
61:18The Titans held under 300 yards and 20 points.
61:21That's my guess, just based on the quality of that matchup.
61:24Do I feel it? Does that feel correct, John?
61:27You know, I think that I think that's a great call out.
61:31And I think it's something people fail to capture with nuance that there is a such a thing as competition levels.
61:38And some teams are just entirely more difficult to guard.
61:41You know, and that's that's the case. You nailed it.
61:44And it wasn't bad teams that happened to run amok.
61:47It's two of the very best offenses in the league went and did their thing.
61:52Man, am I glad the Nico thing worked out the way that I kind of said it would last week.
61:59You're not supposed to say any one player, especially an on QB is worth, you know, multiple points to a team.
62:05But right now the proof looks like it's kind of in the pudding for Houston that, you know, they've scored 31 and 30 when he's played.
62:14They haven't cracked 20 when he hasn't. Interestingly enough, the Tennessee, I think that the Tennessee defense is probably not as bad
62:21as the stink that they carry from being a Titan.
62:24Right. I think the Titans offense is so poor.
62:27It's easy for us to just, oh, the Titans, I can't wave, you know, broad stroke.
62:32They are atrocious. And the offense, you'd be correct there, you know, bottom of the board and everything.
62:38Bottom three in scoring yards per game, yards per play success rate, time of possession per drive points per drive.
62:44You know, they've been trailing for 84% of snaps this year.
62:48It's just really bad. I noticed you didn't mention any Titans.
62:51I'm really not interested in many, if any. I was recommending people sell Cardinal Tate after the big game.
62:57I've been hearing more. This is the breakout. So again, my, I don't really have much here.
63:03Houston, I just started Nico. The Titans, I'm not really starting anybody.
63:07I actually have to start Tony Pollard in a fantasy life work league, but trust me, it's because I have no other options.
63:14Like literally no, although I'm going back and forth.
63:17Maybe you can help me answer this question. I do have Ollie Gordon on that team.
63:22So talk to us about Cardinal Tate and then me very selfishly, although it is a good question.
63:28I'm sure it's out there. The person that drafted Tony Pollard and added Ollie Gordon.
63:33So talk to us just for a little bit about the Titans.
63:37Well, those are the only two players that we really care about, right?
63:41Like I think at this point we can say Wondell Robinson, as high of hopes as I had for him coming into
63:48this season because of his familiarity with Brian Dayball and just his versatility.
63:52I really thought Wondell was going to be a piece of this pie and he's, he's just not.
63:58And last week the Titans said, we're going to build the entire ship out of passes to Cardinal Tate.
64:04And that was terrific. I mean, he had nine catches, 145 yards more important than that.
64:09He had a 36% targets per route run. That was the third highest of the week and a 44% target share 44.
64:16That was tied with Ted Arola McMillan for the second, most of any wide receiver.
64:21That's huge. If they're going to actually allow their best player to thrive because Cardinal Tate has shown he's, he's just their best player.
64:29Then wonderful. I will start him every single week.
64:31I'm not convinced that the Titans have done that yet.
64:35I don't, I don't know that we should lock in another seven targets for Cardinal Tate this week.
64:40So I will start him. I'm just lowering the expectations pretty significantly from last week.
64:45Now, Tony Pollard, if they also just built the rushing ship out of Tony Pollard, we all be happy because you can't
64:52have him and Ty J Spears doing any semblance of a true split because it's just, it's not going to work out for fantasy purposes.
65:00But I think Tony Pollard is a safe play.
65:03He still gets, you know, your couple of targets every week.
65:07And he normally does something with those targets. You know, they're not empty targets.
65:11So I don't mind Tony Pollard as a floor play me.
65:15If I'm looking at him versus Ollie Gordon, I'm taking the ceiling play of Ollie Gordon and I'm running with it.
65:22But, but I don't think that you have quite as much safety as you would for Pollard.
65:27So it's just, it's, you know, that old question.
65:30What's the rest of your roster look like? Do you need the upside or do you need the floor?
65:36Oh, I need everything. Well, I landed on Pollard.
65:39He's had 13 of 14 goal to go attempts, but they're not down there often enough.
65:44But also the Titans have shown they have no confidence in Ward that they'd rather just run the ball.
65:50I feel like, I feel like we're, we're getting close to like a wildcat operation where they just take the ball away from this guy altogether.
65:58All right, let's move on to the next one.
66:01Chicago Bears are three and one. They're on the road as one point favorites in Cheesetown over your boys, Green Bay Packers.
66:08So like, man, there isn't, there isn't a bigger disparity between offensive phases anywhere than the Packers.
66:14I wrote in my game by game breakdown. I think I trust the Packers more to get a third and 15 than a third and one.
66:22And even there's obviously hyperbole before anybody comes at me for being too literal.
66:27But if that makes sense, I hope it makes sense that I think Jordan loves really good.
66:32I really like both Matthew Golden and Christian Watson with Tucker Craft.
66:36I'm like, this is one of the most talented pass catcher rooms anywhere.
66:40Right? I'm talking about three headed monster that can do everything.
66:44Field stretching, possession, yards after the catch, reliability, hands, tough grabs, end zone stuff.
66:48But you can't have nothing in the run game.
66:51Like nothing in the run game. This is historically bad for the Packers.
66:55And I just have a hard time seeing how a team succeeds.
66:59Now, we were just talking off air. Caleb Williams did practice.
67:03I think we're going to get one more out.
67:05I did like what we saw from Baygent Zero.
67:08I think Baygent did a good job keeping the buses on schedule.
67:12And that's all you need in a Ben Johnson offense.
67:15Good to see the Kalief Raymond thing kind of being over.
67:19Really focusing all the targets where they belong on Burden and Loveland.
67:23So I think those guys are viable again. Big injury note.
67:26Kyle Monunguy out after that giant game, which came because of a swift disappointment.
67:31I do think he'll reassume the one role. But Roshon Johnson should definitely be added.
67:36Take what you can. But if there's anything in the Packer running back room, let us know.
67:41I'm holding on by a threat to Caleb Johnson.
67:44But I'm pretty much ready to capitulate. It's over.
67:47I'm with you there. If it wasn't for that fumble by the goal line, I think Caleb Johnson would still be the presumed maybe 1A in this backfield.
67:56But Matt LaFleur spoke pretty concretely that he likes the bench to be a teacher for people who fumble.
68:02So yeah, we're back to square one in that backfield.
68:05It's odd when the Packers are the highest passing team in the NFL.
68:09They have the highest passing rate in the NFL.
68:12That's the exact opposite of how they were the last two years.
68:16They're bottom two the last two years. It's not because they want to do that, to your point.
68:22They would much rather be a balanced offense. But they can't because the running back room is simply not good enough.
68:29The O-line hasn't been good enough. What I will say, though, is this could be a situation where you thrust every Packer
68:36in there that you reasonably can, especially in the passing game.
68:39Because the Bears defense, they allowed 353 yards in week one on the road against the Panthers.
68:45Their next three matchups, they were all at home.
68:48And they were against Carson Wentz, Jalen Hurts without his top receiver, Geno Smith with only one healthy and reliable pass catcher.
68:55And they looked amazing. The Bears defense was a whoa.
68:58Okay, you can't do anything on these guys. But the home road splits are a very real trend going back to last year.
69:05Last year, the Bears defense gave up 30% more passing yards, three times more touchdowns on the road than they did at home.
69:13This game is being played in Green Bay. The passing attempts that are going to stem from this offense, it could be
69:20big days at the office for Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, and Tucker Craft.
69:24And you might even get a little bit of something out of a fourth guy there.
69:29I don't know for sure who's that. Hypothetically, Sky Moore, I guess.
69:33But if you're desperate or if you're, I don't know, looking to find a fourth guy to put some money on or something, go for it.
69:41But yeah, hold on to Caleb Johnson. I think you're pretty much dropping Marshawn Lloyd at this point.
69:47Are you, John? I mean, I'm so... I have Tony Pollard on my team and Ali Gordon.
69:52I can't... Those are the guys like Caleb Johnson.
69:55Those are the players I have. I just don't have the luxury to drop any of them in case anyone takes that step forward.
70:03Really great call out with the Bears defense. And again, I wrote about this.
70:07This is a true inflection point for the Bears.
70:10I love the home road call out also by you.
70:14You're very sharp. You should think about doing this professionally.
70:17Bears gave up almost 500 yards in the first game, which again, you know, on the road.
70:22So they have not given up more than 250 yards in any of the three following games.
70:28But it was Vikings, Eagles, Jets. We're looking back with injuries throughout those teams.
70:32We don't have a lot of confidence. So this is a really big one.
70:37The Packers need to produce here. And I'll even go so far as say, let's say the Bears shut down even this
70:44kind of flawed and lopsided Packers offense. Maybe it's time to start believing in the Bears.
70:49Like if the Bears put up another really great defensive showing, I'm kind of thinking they're for real.
70:55And I'm going to start looking at some Super Bowl tickets.
70:58On offense for the Bears, can I do one quick solid?
71:02Because I talk a lot about the Packers as a homer and I feel bad about it.
71:07I need to give somebody some shine on the Bears.
71:10Romo Dunze, this could be a sneaky good game to start Romo Dunze.
71:15I think he's in a good position because his targets A have increased week over week.
71:20And the backup quarterbacks are targeting him at a more respectable distance instead of forcing at 30 yards downfield like Caleb Williams.
71:27So if Williams does sit again and we get a backup experience, I honestly think that like 80 yards is very much
71:34on the table for Romo Dunze, for anybody who's needing that extra wide receiver to start.
71:39Yeah. When Ben Johnson went and paid Bajan, it really shot my antennas up.
71:43You know, you do this long enough, you realize just how important, not just real life football, but fantasy betting, all this
71:50stuff, how important the backup quarterback is to just keep everything running the way it should.
71:56And Bajan's been, you know, exactly that. And if anything, his strong suit is Williams vulnerability, which is accuracy.
72:02And again, that's really helpful for Loveland and Burden, guys that we don't just want targeted, but we want targeted in a
72:09way where they could take it and run. All right.
72:12That ate away a little bit from this next one, which we should be more interested in than I am.
72:18It's Broncos at two and two. They're on the road against the winless Chargers, where can we just get a mercy flush at this point?
72:26Broncos are three and a half point favorites on the road, 42 point total.
72:31I guess I'm expecting the defenses to be the strong suit here, but there are injuries abound everywhere.
72:37Denver is missing Sartain. They might be without Riley Moss.
72:40Chargers have a ton of injuries also. I was a little bit shocked to see it just came down the wire.
72:47QJ Quentin Johnson is straight up out. I didn't even, that didn't even like that escalated quickly, as they say.
72:53So that kind of caught me a little bit by surprise.
72:57QJ out. Lad McConkie yet to practice. They're saying he could play if he does.
73:01Does he even finish the game? Amari on Hampton is seeding work to Keaton Mitchell, who I think should be rostered, though.
73:08You've been mentioning lowered expectations. That seems to be the name of the game here.
73:13Broncos also looking terrible. Pat Bryan is out. I'm adding Troy Franklin.
73:17If I'm going to keep one light on for the Broncos, who I am not enthused about at all, it's that Sean
73:24Payton is taking over play calling duties. And I think whether or not we're like aggressive on this and getting hyper aggressive
73:31starting Broncos, keep an eye out because Payton, kind of a control freak.
73:35He's, we've seen him succeed calling plays for Bo Nix.
73:39Maybe that's the missing piece. I think Nix has looked terrible, but maybe, maybe there's a stylistic slash schematic thing.
73:45Do you like anything in this? I don't really like anything.
73:49You're starting the pieces you're stuck with, but I've already benched Herbert.
73:52I, man, I, you have to start Hampton, but I'd bench him if I could.
73:57I'm already benching Dobbins, starting Harvey where I can.
74:00It's a mess out there. Yeah. Justin Herbert, we already talked about it.
74:04We're done with Justin Herbert. We don't, we don't need to even acknowledge Justin Herbert as a potential starting quarterback for your
74:11fantasy team until he proves otherwise down the road.
74:14If we see it, then we can revisit it.
74:17But Omari and Hampton, you said it. He's the lowest end RB two imaginable in a week with some pretty significant buys and injuries.
74:25You still don't feel comfortable. He's like, he's like a hangnail on RB two status.
74:30He's technically there, but it's painful. And I think the one charger that I'm actually somewhat hopeful about this week is Trey Harris.
74:37Trey Harris, it took him four weeks to exceed 80% route participation.
74:41He got 91% against the Seahawks. And yeah, that was mostly due to Ladd McConkie leaving that game early, but Ladd McConkie, questionable.
74:48Quentin Johnston out. And the week prior, Harris had already led the team in targets with a 24% share.
74:54And I've been hitting the table for Trey Harris for so long, at least just to leapfrog Quentin Johnston, because that's another guy.
75:02We keep trying to make Quentin Johnston happen. It's not happening.
75:05Trey Harris can happen. And I think this game, especially with Sertan out, I think it could be a pretty nice day for him.
75:13So I will fire up Trey Harris. I think the Broncos, with or without Sean Payton taking over, there's nobody that I'm excited about.
75:21R.J. Harvey managers just be psyched that he is the dump off king right now.
75:25And that J.K. Dobbins cannot catch a pass because that's the only thing keeping his fantasy value afloat.
75:31So I'll start R.J. You can't sneeze at a guy who ended up with almost 20 PPR points, even if he was
75:38doing almost none of it purely on the ground.
75:41So those are the only two that I'm interested in.
75:44Yeah, what a mess. We last thing we mentioned, you know, inflection point for the Bears defense.
75:50I think the Broncos are up against it also.
75:53Eventually, we're going to have to say maybe this defense is not what we thought.
75:58They've allowed five and a half yards per play in three or four.
76:02They've allowed at least 360 yards in three or four.
76:05Two of them were over 390. And the Rams exploded for nearly 500 yards.
76:09But again, the competition's tough. They have to get it done against the Chargers or we have to rethink the Broncos also where this team is like, yuck.
76:18So that was the grocer segment. We'll be back in a minute with a million fantasy points, right?
76:24Be excited. Be, be excited. Niners and Seahawks, Lions and Cardinals, where all the points are on this one.
76:30It's Jake and John, Fantasy Football Weekly, edition number five.
76:33Fantasy football people already know the feeling. You spend all week studying the matchup.
76:38Then kickoff happens and suddenly you're tracking every target, every carry, and every yard.
76:42That's what having something riding on the game does.

77:08Hey everybody, it's me, W. Kamau Bell. This season of my podcast, Who's With Me?
77:13I speak with two-time Emmy winner and weirdly one of my best friends, Kevin Avery.
77:18Everything up to that point, Bill G was a comic.
77:21Us going on the road, doing Battle Mountain and Ely and all this shit.
77:25Yeah, you took me, you were one of the first people who took me on the road.
77:31Which is funny because at the time I was like, I don't know if I like this guy.
77:37With rapper, actor, Daveed Diggs. The jump off for me was Hamilton and it was the most popular thing in a very long time.
77:44But it was still, for me, it was me and my friends making something dumb.
77:49Bruce Lee's daughter and Brandon Lee's sister, Shannon Lee.
77:52Back to your initial point of stewarding my father's legacy and giving my energy to that.
77:57You're lending your life to stewarding somebody else's life.

78:07I'm former U.S. Women's National Soccer Team player Carly Lloyd.
78:10I'm Fox Sports reporter Jenny Taft. And on our new podcast, Whatever It Takes, we're talking motherhood, marriages, careers, and figuring out how to balance it all.
78:19And we'll discuss the game that brought us together because nothing is off limits.
78:23Do you remember your initial reaction when Fox called you to be a part of the World Cup?
78:29I was like, no, I don't want to do it.
78:32You said no? I played with players that didn't, I don't think that they really, truly love the game.
78:38I found the love with the ball at my foot.
78:42But in my head, it was the long game.
78:44It was like, I don't care what I'm being asked to do at Fox.
78:49I'm going to go get some reps and I'm going to learn it and love it and embrace it.
78:55He said, this group of people will never be in the same room as part of the same team ever again in your life.
79:03And it is your job to make sure that you enjoy the moment.
79:07You're proud of what you accomplish together. Listen to Whatever It Takes with Carly Lloyd and Jenny Taft on the iHeartRadio app,
79:14Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There are thousands of podcasts that can tell you how to better yourself.
79:21Get Worse with Kyle Pru is not one of those podcasts.
79:24So if you're interested in getting thinner, going to therapy, starting peptides, setting boundaries, taking supplements, making you better, getting closure, then I would humbly recommend other podcasts.
79:33But if you're interested in blackmail, love bombing, cloning yourself, or getting revenge, then we've got a little something something for a dastardly individual like you.
79:42Take a listen to some of the incredible advice we've given so far.
79:46Fake a back injury. Get the spray tan. Up your alcohol consumption.
79:50Only women should be allowed to have guns. Kill them.
79:53Kill them. Kill them with a gun. Listen, it's already over.
79:56I'm all about lying if it's something that really happened.
80:00The next time a bear is running at you, you just calmly stop what you're doing, you look the bear in the
80:07eye, and you say, this isn't you. Do not preserve relationships.
80:10You don't need them. You only need one thing, and that's the Get Worse podcast.
80:15Listen to Get Worse with Kyle Pru on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
80:21All right, you're back with Jake and John, Fantasy Football Weekly.
80:25I can hardly wait for the intro to finish, Jake.
80:28Now, finally, let's sink our teeth into some fantasy goodness.
80:31San Francisco Niners undefeated on the road in the PN Dove to face the Seattle Seahawks.
80:36They're 3-1 at home is three-point favorites, 46 total on the board.
80:40This one should be a lot of fun. It's stoppable forces and movable objects, or vice versa, unstoppable forces and immovable objects,
80:47but I guess it works in both directions. Opposites attract here.
80:5149ers have been really, really good on both sides of the ball.
80:54I know I believe in the offense. I'm not sure I believe in the defense.
80:59Obviously, Seattle known for that defense. And the other side, people, I think, like the Seattle offense a lot more than I do.
81:07Yeah, I really like JSN. He's great. I think the big question is whether or not the Niners will be the first to solve the JSN issue.
81:15He's been running amok and just going crazy. But it's not like I'm into much on the Seattle side as, quote-unquote, like good as the offense has been.
81:24You know, they're over 26 points a game, 350 yards a game, nearly six yards a play.
81:30These are the things we like. It feels like it's all through Smith and Jigba.
81:35I guess you're starting Emmanuel Wilson, but I don't want to say luck because volume is the commodity in this game of ours.
81:42But Wilson was not great. He was not explosive.
81:45And I'm almost sure he's going to lose the job to Charbonnet, at least a split, when he comes back.
81:51So you roll with Wilson while you can. Smith is the most obvious must-start ever, no matter what.
81:57But other than that, are you really into any Seahawks?
82:00And are you into any 49ers outside of the obvious?
82:03It's McCaffrey. It's Purdy. It's Evans. And it's Kittle.
82:06And then from there, I'm kind of like washing my hands of this one and hoping all the right guys do the work.
82:14I think there is one potential start outside of those names that you referenced.
82:18And it's A.J. Barner for the Seahawks. Because my first thought was, what if they do shut down JSN to some extent?
82:25You're not going to get like a goose egg out of Jackson Smith and Jigba.
82:30But if they really cut down on him, they need to turn to somebody who's a little bit more reliable and a
82:37little bit more explosive than Cooper Cup. They can't try to just do a hard pivot over to Cooper Cup at this late stage in his career.
82:46That's no disrespect to him. It's just not going to be fruitful, I don't think, if they do.
82:52A.J. Barner has shown maybe not to be like a standout tight end, but a pretty reliable second option for Sam Darnold when things get really scary.
83:00So I could see a touchdown, certainly. I could see him getting six to seven targets forced to him because they need to do something.
83:08And they can't just spam George Helani out of the backfield for targets either.
83:13But George Helani also, I think, deserves consideration as a start in this particular matchup because of how the game script could go.
83:20Because Emmanuel Wilson didn't look that great. And he's not really a big-time pass catcher either.
83:25I think if you're desperate enough, yeah. I'd start George Helani over Will Shipley.
83:30I'm just saying. I hate that we have to keep coming back to Will Shipley as our barometer, but that's what I feel like the baseline is.
83:38Ugh, it's gross. I think Helani over Shipley is bold.
83:42I think that's a bold goal. I feel probably like Shipley for the pass catching because I think Helani is going to lose the baseline work.
83:50Again, it's all kind of ugly. I'm looking at the spreadsheets now and there is like a little bit of a Spider-Man
83:57gif thing going on where both of these teams have been super efficient, like hyper efficient on offense.
84:03Neither runs more than 60 plays a game, but they're both over six yards of play.
84:08They're both at 350 yards a game. It's just I don't know if you're going to be able to replicate that.
84:15You know, we saw Washington get to Seattle. Maybe that was a little bit of an anomaly.
84:20The Niner is certainly better than Washington on offense.
84:23I just wonder how the defense is going to be.
84:26Do you think San Francisco will be able to continue, you know, working with impunity up and down the field?
84:33Do you think Seattle kind of stops him? Because if they do, then it really should be as narrow as right.
84:39Like I said, Evans, Kittle, McCaffrey, Purdy, close it up.
84:43Maybe Barner and JSN on the other side. And maybe we're not getting the fireworks that I promised at the outset.
84:49I mean, overall, I don't want to accuse us of being misleading about this because guess what?
84:55The next game is very much going to deliver.
84:58But this game, I do think, could be lower scoring because we've seen that before.
85:02With these two, with San Francisco, with Seattle, it can get really down and dirty and really gross.
85:08I mean, look at last year. Sam Darnold, he turtled up like a dingus in the Arctic Ocean against the San Francisco 49ers.
85:16Because that's just, it's how these two teams play each other.
85:19So, I don't know. I don't think that San Francisco is going to have their way on offense.
85:25But we do have to call out Mike Evans.
85:28Absolutely dominant, 30% targets per route run. I mean, that's Puka Nakula.
85:32That's Trey McBride level of involvement. And it does mean, unfortunately, I don't see a lot going well for Debo Samuel if you wanted to flex him.
85:40He's been very creatively used, as Debo tends to be.
85:44But it's so unpredictable that I don't feel extra confident in starting him, unfortunately, this week.
85:49I understand some people will be forced to, though.
85:52Kalen Black, potentially, though, John, I don't know. I could see a path where both teams really have to focus on using
85:59their backfields a lot, which means Kalen Black could get a little bit of involvement here.
86:04Yeah, I could buy that. I'll take the L on the misframe earlier.
86:08You know, me, nose so firmly buried in the spreadsheets.
86:11And there has been a ton of offensive output from these teams.
86:15But, again, when you run into the buzzsaw, not just of the, you know, other coach and the familiarity with the division
86:22stuff, it's very easy to see this one. Not, say, falling flat, but just really that kind of dogfight.
86:28And what I see happens in these games is it's just the clock running.
86:33It's not even so much like failed or bad offense.
86:36It's so much as you're really struggling. You're fighting for every first down.
86:40Maybe taking a few extra seconds every play to make sure everything is correct and set up properly, plus all the pre-
86:47and post-snap stuff going on during these chess battles where it just takes a little bit longer, you know, to operate, which,
86:54again, is kind of a killer for the over.
86:57All right, now let's get into this one. It has got to be, like, the fantasy carnival.
87:02I hope I have the number right. Fireworks. Yeah, it did.
87:06Detroit Lions, they're on the road 2-2 against the Arizona Cardinals 1-3.
87:10The Lions are favored over, I don't know how they're favored over anybody with that defense.
87:15Keep in mind what just happened to the Cowboys, just saying.
87:19I don't think the Detroit offense will fall flat because I think they're amazing.
87:23However, this one has a 54.5 point total, so we are expecting all of the fireworks, as you said.
87:29I think the Lions, man, I had this number in the front of my head.
87:34I think it's 61.5 points as an average game total, right, meaning both sides of the ball.
87:39So the Lions have been involved in scoring 30 and allowing 30 basically on each side of every single game.
87:46The question has to be, Jake, does the Cardinals get it done, right?
87:50We've been thanking them for being one of the bad teams that does their part on offense.
87:55They really didn't look good against the Giants. They got 24 points on the board, but it was a very rough 24 points.
88:03Do you think the Cardinals get there? I think the Lions are a given at this point.
88:08Are they inevitable? It does feel that way, and we should thank them for their service for our fantasy teams.
88:15Much appreciated to you, Lions. I did not know that stat, that they were averaging 60 points a game as a collective.
88:22Crazy. Oh, that's incredible. I think that everybody, everybody that you even consider starting from either of these teams just has to go in your lineup.
88:30Think about, again, run down the names in your head of some of these players we've talked about.
88:36Maybe, maybe you should force this guy or that guy into your lineup because things are so gross.
88:42Jeremiah Love, who seems like he's on the track to go, he's in your lineup.
88:46Because even if he is sharing time with Tyler Algier, it doesn't matter.
88:51Tyler Algier, get him in your lineup. I'm comfortable with that.
88:54Jacoba Brissett, of course he's in your lineup. Michael Wilson, you betcha.
88:58Trey McBride, you already knew the answer. If you even want to start Kendrick Bourne and Jameson Williams in this match.
89:05Yes. If you are feeling so spicy going into this one that you're like, I'm going to get some Isaac Tesla in here at flex.
89:13I don't even hate that for you because there should be so many points overall for this matchup.
89:19That's it's hard to go wrong. Now I say that and watch this just completely go the opposite side and somehow there's a defensive slugfest.
89:27I think that's like a 0.01% chance of happening, but yeah, just get everybody in there, John.
89:32I love keeping my range of outcomes open. This is another good, this is a Detroit Lion defensive stat.
89:38I mean, this is so, it's so bad. I can't believe it.
89:42They gave up 335 yards to the Jets. That was a season low.
89:46In each of the other three games, they've allowed at least 445 yards of offense in each of the other three games.
89:53Saints, Bills, and Panthers all went for 445 or more.
89:56So again, if anybody was kind of rolling their eyes, oh, Marvin Harrison, oh, Kendrick Bourne.
90:02Listen, this would be the week to do it.
90:04And I think the Tesla quality is also good, meaning the lines are dangerous.
90:09They're especially dangerous if they're pushed. So if the Cardinals come out and score a touchdown on the opening drive or somehow
90:16go up 14 or go up 14-3 or something like that, and you're going to get a full blast because Tesla has run 131 routes.
90:24So he's out there. He hasn't done much with it.
90:27But once Campbell's in his bag, it's really anybody's game.
90:30I just wanted to talk really briefly before our next break about the Jeremiah Love stuff.
90:36Those quotes were so deflating. I'm not hurt, but I'm not 100%.
90:39I'm also disappointed. I'd like to be used more.
90:42But I also think our other players should see more work.
90:46Well, you know, you kind of got to decide, man.
90:49It's poo or get off the pot here. I think Love is going to play.
90:54I still think it was an injury, but I'm not sure.
90:57I think just to extend on your point a little bit, I think you start Tyler Algier also.
91:03Right? There are worlds where two running backs can both succeed in the same game.
91:08I think this would be one of them. And if we're worried about injuries for Love at all, then it's wheels up for Algier.
91:16So this game should be all the fantasy goodness we want.
91:19All right. We're pushing up against our next break, Jake.
91:22Let's just shuffle the papers. We'll be back in a second here.
91:26Fantasy Football Weekly with Ravens, Falcons, Bills, and Rams.
91:29Week 5 edition with Jake and John. Fantasy Football players love to tell ourselves we're being rational.
91:35We're looking at the data. We're studying the matchup.
91:37We've got to process. And then Sunday starts. I'm not checking my lineup every five minutes.
91:43Of course you are. Suddenly you're watching a backup tight end you barely thought about all week because you need 12 more yards.
91:50Now you know exactly how many targets he has.
91:53You know how many routes he's run. You know where the next red zone possession needs to go.
91:59And when he finally catches the ball, that might be the most important eight-yard gain of your entire afternoon.
92:05That's fantasy football. Every target, every carry, every yard.
92:08That's also what I like about Underdog. Download Underdog to play Keep Your Million.
92:12Start with the million dollars, make it through all 20 picks, and walk away with whatever's left.
92:18You already think you know how these games will unfold.

95:45All right, final segment. Fantasy Football Weekly with Jake and John.
95:49Check out fantasylife.com for all the goodies. Dwayne's utilization report is incredible.
95:53All right, Jake, we've got two games left. Baltimore Ravens on the road, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore 3-1, Falcons 2-2.
95:59Falcons are now three-and-a-half point favorites. Major line swing with Lamar Jackson being out.
96:03Now, we have seen Snoop Huntley under center, and it's not been great.
96:07He's been serviceable. I did notice in the two games last year without him, it was the Derek Henry show.
96:14You probably remember one of those well. I think week 17 was against your Packers, and Henry ran for approximately 3,500 yards and 72 touchdowns.
96:22No, all kidding, sorry. He went for like 185 and four.
96:25It was just so incredible. So yeah, so Baltimore expect them to hide Huntley a little bit.
96:31You know, he could do enough, and I still think you start Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews because that's Huntley's kind of
96:38MO to target the tight end and look under the slot.
96:41That's got to be enough. The story here has got to be the Falcons.
96:46I wrote just briefly, it's too early in the season to be making definitive splits, but I think for the Falcons, we should make an exception.
96:54What are the numbers? 238, 286, 498, and 420 represent to you.
96:58That would be the first two are the Cooper Rush-led Falcons.
97:02The last two are the Michael Penix Jr. led Falcons.
97:05They're an absolute wagon. I think Bijan Robinson, for my money, looks better with the ball in his hand than even Jameer Gibbs.
97:12He just has to split more work with Brian Robinson, but man, Bijan looks incredible, and it's the Drake London show.
97:19I mean, hyper-targeting is like an understatement, but that's what we want.
97:23That's what we want. So for me, that's it for my Ravens.
97:27It's very easy. Also, that's it for my Falcons.
97:30I think I probably know your answer, but are there any other Falcons?
97:34Kyle Pitts. Kyle Pitts, you might start. Hey, everybody who still has Kyle Pitts on that roster, what are you doing?
97:40What's going on? Can we get this guy back onto waivers so that somebody else could deal with him in your league?
97:47That would be my approach. Truly, Kyle Pitts, droppable.
97:50There's, there's, I don't, what do you do when there are that many yards thrown?
97:55There are that many points scored. Both quarterbacks. We've seen them with both quarterbacks.
98:00It's not working out. So Kyle Pitts, just get them off your rosters.
98:04Yeah, I mean, Brian Robinson is coming to a point where in certain weeks that look especially sparse at running back.
98:11You're wondering, do I just throw him in there and hope that he gets a touchdown?
98:16Because it's a reasonable enough call at this point.
98:19Five touchdowns betwixt the B. Robinsons in their last effort.
98:22That's wild. Obviously Drake London, it's fine. He doesn't need his touchdowns.
98:26He'll get his fantasy forwards elsewhere. But I do think if you project a big scoring day for the game and you
98:33expect Atlanta to be a heavy favorite, then get Brian Robinson in there.
98:37I don't know that that's necessarily this week, but I do think you could do worse than Brian Robinson if you, if you need him.
98:45For the Ravens, you said it about Tyler Huntley, but I just want to put a fine point on it.
98:51We've seen him play before. He has 16 career starts going back to 2021.
98:56But in only five of those starts, did he exceed 200 passing yards?
99:00He's not a prolific passer. Last year, he totaled 293 yards and two touchdowns in his two starts.
99:06That's, that's simply not marks that you look at and say, give me those pass catchers.
99:11So a guy like Mark Andrews, I don't really have interest in playing Mark Andrews.
99:16I think obviously Zay Flowers, he's good enough. You know, he's good.
99:20He's too good to sit and he could easily account for like 70% of the receiving production.
99:25And I wouldn't even be shocked. Now that again, that might be a total of 170 passing yards and say Flowers ends up with a hundred of those.
99:34And that's, that's so wonderful, but everybody else. Yeah, I'm out.
99:38Derek Henry. Yeah, you nailed it, man. Let Derek Henry lead the way to another victory for your fantasy team and just, just enjoy what you have.
99:46Yeah. The Zay Flowers stuff. That's kind of my game plan.
99:50I just think it's, it's too ridiculous of a profile right now to sit.
99:54I think that's insane. And we just hope that, you know, he goes crazy in what little bit there is.
100:01He's at 39 and a half percent target per route, over six and a quarter yards per route run.
100:07These are like broken metrics. It's time to adjust the difficulty setting.
100:11Last thing before we move on. And what I'll be watching for as a defensive honk is this, I got right.
100:17Immovable force, unstoppable object. We know Henry is a house, impossible to take down, but the Falcons run D has been incredible.
100:24Easily a top three defense. That might be the best run defense in the league.
100:29They're, you know, leading the league in success rate, run stuff rate.
100:33You know, they're stuffing 27% of runs. That's incredible.
100:36They're only allowing fewer than 50 rush yards a game.
100:392.7 yards per rush, two and a quarter after contact.
100:42They're still yet to allow a single 20 yard rush, explosive rush rate down below 3%.
100:48It's been, it's been really exciting for that defense.
100:50And again, if the panic stuff is real, this Falcons team is a wagon.
100:55They have real potential to make a run. All of a sudden that AJ Terrell injury really kind of looming large.
101:02But that is the window of opportunity for Flowers to get his work done.
101:06So I'm not expecting a lot of scoring in this one at all.
101:10I'll be honest, I thought the 44 came in very high.
101:14And yeah, we're starting our starters, but it's a very kind of narrow usage tree that we're focused on.
101:20Both sides. I'm with you. Unfortunately, I got to agree with the Pitts thing.
101:24I only kept the light on because we were having a QB change.
101:29And I wanted to see if when we shook the Etch-A-Sketch, if it might fall in his direction.
101:34Listen, don't be stubborn. It's, I think it's a wrap.
101:38It was just an anomaly. It was what it was.
101:41Yeah, yeah. Jake made the face. Now, I got, that was all the confirmation I needed.
101:46All right. Last but not least, everybody. Buffalo Bills.
101:49This is a really great primetime game. Buffalo Bills 3-1 on the road.
101:53LA Rams 2-2 at home. Can't help but wonder if McVay's kicking himself over those botched travel plans.
101:59You know, LA does not want to leave week five with a losing record, right?
102:04That's for sure. Buffalo has been very good, though they've definitely looked human.
102:08I kind of, that was my, you know, the thesis of the play after barely beating the Chargers, why I thought they could lose to New England.
102:16That ended up being the case. Rams pretty much a wagon on both sides.
102:21I think they're very good. Not exactly sure where to take this one.
102:25It really gave me a little bit of writer's block when I was doing the game-by-game thing.
102:31I generally have an idea of what I think and what direction I think it might fall in.
102:36I don't know. Could you help shed some light on it?
102:40I like Puka, of course. But with Puka, I don't think I like Devontae.
102:44I guess I'm starting Tyler Higbee. Kyron Williams is getting all the work because now he's a reception machine.
102:50And on the Bills' side, I don't know. Is DJ Moore going to play?
102:55And if not, we don't want Keon Coleman. It's really messy.
102:58I think you start Cook. I'm back on Kincaid.
103:01But another stinker from him, and we might have to rethink that draft pick.
103:06So for as much as we like these teams, there's a lot more uncertainty than I want to admit, I think.
103:13Yeah, you have your obvious must-starts. And that includes Josh Allen.
103:16That includes James Cook, who, by the way, where are your targets, dude?
103:20We were promised more targets for James Cook. And of course, he's still an RB1 even without that.
103:26And even in this matchup, you're comfortable firing him up.
103:29But really disheartening to see James Cook not get some of the passing that we were expecting.
103:35And DJ Moore, maybe we underrated the effect of a true wide receiver one for Josh Allen and what that would do to the periphery targets.
103:43But DJ Moore with the shoulder, I mean, I'm starting DJ Moore because we know how good it can look.
103:49And if he's even 70% healthy, I just think that you have to lean into the pass catchers.
103:55Dalton Kincaid, though, you said how it's really changed from the first couple of weeks.
104:00This is just the thing of tight ends that don't do good work blocking.
104:05When you're not decent even at blocking, you're not going to be guaranteed targets in every game because the game script can
104:12change so much and just write you out of it.
104:15I don't know that Dalton Kincaid will get written out again this week.
104:19And he has so much of an upside that it's like, yeah, would I rather start him or Mark Andrews or whatever?
104:26Yeah, give me Dalton Kincaid, of course. But still keep those expectations low.
104:30I think Keon Coleman, solid flex this week. I'm just going to say, I really think that you could get a lot worse than Keon Coleman.
104:39I think he's actually improved. Just watching him, you can actually see his focus improve so much from last year.
104:45And that was one of the big things in his rookie season was just, man, this guy just looks so unfocused.
104:52And he's not adjusting to the ball in the air at all.
104:56And that seems to be a different stride this year.
104:59So that's good. Khalil Shakir, if and only if DJ Moore is out, fine.
105:03Fine. I will begrudgingly start Khalil Shakir. Otherwise, I don't want him in this matchup.
105:08That's kind of the bad side of the ball.
105:11With the Rams, though, yeah, Puka Nakua, right back to top dog status.
105:15What about Devontae, though? Devontae Adams, how do you do 330 yards in the previous two weeks and then become an afterthought the very next week?
105:24It really is baffling to see that. I think it's just the unfortunate thing that Matt Stafford likes his top guy, whoever that is.
105:31It's a little bit Kyler Murray-esque, except he's a much better passer than Kyler Murray, of course.
105:37But he locks onto his top guy whenever he can.
105:40His top guy, whether it's Puka or Devontae, is always so good at getting open or being open enough for him to throw to.
105:48He doesn't bother with his second read because he doesn't have to.
105:51So that is Puka Nakua right now. Devontae Adams in the red zone.
105:56Still a different story. And we can hopefully get a touchdown to save his fantasy day.
106:01But I don't know that that's going to be the case.
106:04I think Tyler Higbee might be their true number two pass catcher, John.
106:08I think he is obviously with the other tight ends all banged up.
106:13We've got Terrence Ferguson out and Colby Parkinson. And that was the headache that we were perceiving coming into the year.
106:19Was just like, how do you even know which tight end to start for the Rams?
106:24We don't have to worry about that now. And take him as your number two pass catcher because the target share has looked consistent.
106:32He's looked at, at least in the middle of the field, more than Devontae Adams.
106:37But Kyron Williams, hey man, Kyron Williams, way to go, buddy.
106:41I didn't always believe in him. I really didn't.
106:43I kind of just thought he'll be a slog to roster because it's not going to be exciting.
106:49Blake Corum is going to eat into his touch, pound too much.
106:53It's just not happening. You said his utilization's great.
106:56I mean, he had a 69% route share last week.
106:5935% targets per route mark. That's crazy for a running back to have.
107:03So fire up Kyron Williams and keep Blake Corum, I guess, just in case.
107:08Right? He's still a good handcuff, would you say, John?
107:11Yeah. Oh, definitely. I've been having my troubles with tight end.
107:15I'm hoping to find an answer doing the Bugs Bunny thing.
107:18One, two, three, you're out, Terrence Ferguson. One, two, three, you're out, Colby Parkinson.
107:23Now, hopefully not one, two, three, you're out for Tyler Higbee because, again, I'm on my last legs with Kincaid, who really great call out.
107:31The efficiency stuff is still there for Kincaid. 22 target per route, over three yards per route.
107:36But you've got to be on the field if you want to produce.
107:40So that'll do it, everybody. Man, another exciting episode of Fantasy Football Weekly.
107:44I hope everyone enjoyed the show, got some knowledge, and we'll be starting Braille and Alan in this one.
107:50So from Jake Trowbridge, your friend, John Legazza, and our wonderful production crew, everyone enjoy the weekend and enjoy the games.

108:02You know what happens the second you make your picks on Underdog?
108:06All that football knowledge you've spent the week collecting suddenly matters even more.
108:10Before kickoff, maybe you're relaxed. Then your picks lock.
108:13Now you're checking everything. What's the weather? Who's active?
108:16Who's getting the red zone work? Why does this guy only have two targets?
108:20Now you're three feet from the television yelling, Get him the ball!
108:24Because once you've made your picks, every target, every carry, and every yard suddenly matters.
