Alec Pierce

NegativeInjury5:56

Alec Pierce remains without a timeline to return from ankle surgery, with the head coach's comments contradicting earlier optimistic reports from the GM. Christopher Harris has lowered him to WR33/36 and warns of further downward mobility.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveInjury0:58

Bijan Robinson has signed and is practicing, removing any concerns about a hold-in affecting his availability for the start of the season.

Insight page

Blake Corum

NegativeValue62:02

The source compares Blake Corum to Trevion Henderson as a high-end backup on a contender, but notes that Corum is significantly cheaper in drafts and lacks Henderson's elite speed.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveValue66:08

The source ranks Breece Hall as the RB13, acknowledging his elite talent as a fast, strong, and elusive 220-pound back who is also a good receiver. While the source admits to being nervous about drafting him in the second round due to last year's frustration, they believe he could easily return value if he reaches 80 targets and 55-60 receptions in a more functional Jets offense with Geno Smith.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeUsage46:48

The source notes that the new Jags coaching staff will not repeat last year's mistake of trying to force him into a 'Nico Collins' role as a full-field receiver. He is expected to 'ride the rail' as a downfield threat. While he has impressive speed and rookie-year performance, the source worries about target competition from Parker Washington and others, suggesting he may be an 'unenjoyable' high-variance ride.

Insight page

Clyde Edwards-Helaire

NegativeDepth Chart43:59

The source implies that Clyde Edwards-Helaire and his successors in the Chiefs' backfield have been underwhelming, and that Kenneth Walker is a significant upgrade in talent for that role.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

PositiveProjection8:42

Daniel Jones is receiving rave reviews in camp for his mobility eight months after his Achilles rupture. Christopher Harris is considering raising him from his current QB26 ranking if he continues to look good during joint practices.

Insight page

Davante Adams

NegativeProjection55:30

The source ranks Davante Adams between 17 and 22, noting he is likely slowing down (speed grade downgraded to C) and is becoming touchdown-dependent, though he remains elite in small spaces and near the end zone.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveProjection50:04

The source ranks Drake London higher than Ted McMillan, noting that despite a poor environment last year, London's points-per-game were strong and the transition to Kirk Cousins provides a higher ceiling for 2024.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveInjury0:53

Jahmyr Gibbs has signed his second contract and returned to training camp, ending his hold-in and ensuring he is available for the season.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

NegativeInjury5:16

Jalen McMillan has missed multiple practices due to a knee issue while competing for the Buccaneers' number three receiver role.

Insight page

James Cook

NegativeValue71:36

The source compares James Cook to Breece Hall, noting that while Hall is arguably the better NFL player in terms of pure ability, Cook is currently being drafted higher in fantasy football, making him a more prominent target in current drafts.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeInjury3:40

Jaylen Waddle is expected to miss a week of training camp due to a hamstring injury sustained around August 7th.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveInjury0:58

Jonathan Taylor has signed and is practicing, ensuring he is available for the upcoming season.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeValue57:11

The source ranks him as RB13 and views him as a strong pairing for managers who draft a top-two pick like Gibbs or Bijan. The primary concern is the potential for a suspension, which creates a 'stressful' high-variance situation. The source believes he remains an RB1 talent but suggests managers might want to trade him mid-season if news of a suspension surfaces.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeValue42:55

The source notes that Kenneth Walker is a talented, explosive player who can catch the ball, but warns against the high ADP (top 15 in some formats) because he has not played a full season due to lower extremity injuries and the expectation of a massive receiving role is likely overblown.

Insight page
NegativeProjection70:36

The source expresses skepticism regarding the hype surrounding Kenneth Walker, noting that the Chiefs' offense is not the elite unit it was five years ago. The source questions the team's overall offensive ceiling, especially with Patrick Mahomes returning from a torn ACL, and does not rank the Chiefs as a top-five offense.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

NegativeInjury4:04

Kenyon Sadiq suffered a setback in training camp following spring hernia surgery and will miss a couple of weeks, which Christopher Harris views as a significant downgrade for a rookie tight end.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeUsage3:57

Malik Nabers participated in some walkthrough periods against the defense, though he is not yet participating in full team activities.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeValue37:37

The source ranks him as WR33, noting he is likely a round six pick. While he is a 'generational prospect,' the source is on the fence due to his year three status, potential for lower team passing volume, and concerns about his quarterback situation with Carson Beck. The source compares his current situation to Braylon Edwards, noting he could be a one-hit wonder or a disappointment.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury57:35

The source considers Mike Evans a difficult player to rank due to his age and recurring hamstring injury concerns, placing him in a similar tier to Davante Adams.

Insight page

Pat Bryant

PositiveDepth Chart2:37

Pat Bryant is receiving more positive buzz than Troy Franklin in the Broncos' receiving corps competition as of August 7th; Christopher Harris is considering moving him up in his rankings.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveRole60:42

The source emphasizes that Rhamondre Stevenson remains the primary back in New England, citing his heavy usage at the end of last season and the team's commitment to him as they push for a Super Bowl.

Insight page

Riley Leonard

NegativeDepth Chart13:55

Christopher Harris suggests it is likely that Riley Leonard will start in September for the Colts given the uncertainty surrounding Daniel Jones' recovery from an Achilles injury.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveDepth Chart5:37

Rookie Ted Hurst has looked good in training camp while competing for a role in the Buccaneers' receiving corps.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeProjection65:28

The source ranks him as WR19 and views him as a fourth-round pick. Despite being an 'alpha' receiver, the source notes that his fantasy production has rarely matched his film talent, with only one major touchdown season in his career. The source is optimistic about the addition of Stefan Diggs and a full season of health for Jayden Daniels, but remains nervous about his high-variance outcomes.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

NegativeUsage59:48

The source ranks Trevion Henderson as an RB2 (21-22), noting he is explosive but currently limited by his inability to pass protect, which keeps him off the field on third downs. His fantasy value is heavily tied to Rhamondre Stevenson's health.

Insight page

Troy Franklin

NegativeDepth Chart2:37

Troy Franklin is currently in a competition with Pat Bryant for a spot in the Broncos' receiving corps, with Bryant currently receiving more positive reports.

0:00It's the Harris Football Podcast with your host Christopher Harris.
0:03Welcome everybody, welcome in. My name is Chris and this is a show about literature.
0:08Hello there. Thank you so much for listening, you tapeworms, you children of the possum.
0:13Can you imagine if this was the first episode of this very stupid show you ever listened to and you heard the
0:20host call you a tapeworm and a child of some weird possum in the first five seconds?
0:25But that's just how we roll. Now if this is the first show of mine you ever listened to, email me.
0:32HeyHarris at HarrisFootball.com I simply must know how it was received.
0:35First I shouted at you and then I called you those things.
0:39I'm actually quite impressed you're still listening. For the rest of us, how you doing?
0:44Thanks for being here today. Our long national nightmare is over except it wasn't very long.
0:49It was kind of regional and nobody really thought it was that scary.
0:53But yes indeed, Jameer Gibbs also gets his second contract and is back in camp.
0:58So Bijan Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, and now Jameer Gibbs all signed, all practicing, in plenty of time to have none of it matter for us.
1:06As recently as Monday, Dave Richard came on the program and correctly mentioned the actual biggest training camp worry for fantasy would
1:13be any of those guys holding in for an entire month and then having us deal with and wonder how it might
1:20affect them once the real games started. And now a scant four days later we can wipe that off the list.
1:27Everything is in order and all three of those gentlemen will surely be first round fantasy picks in drafts for 2026.
1:34I don't have exhibition game reviews for you after Thursday night and you're not getting exhibition game ranks movements out of me
1:41throughout the month unless someone important gets hurt. But we can take a quick spin through beat reports from Thursday.
1:47I'm kind of hitting this randomly. Jalen Knoll is first on my list.
1:51He had started camp with a finger injury and had not been partaking but now is activated again.
1:57I'm tracking the Pat Bryant-Troy Franklin battle with the Broncos receiving core.
2:01I said it was going to be something that I wanted to pay attention to.
2:05And Pat Bryant certainly getting more positive pub so far as of August 7th.
2:10And therefore maybe I have to wind up writing Bryant a profile for the Almanac update and swapping them maybe in the ranks.
2:17I'm not doing it yet but I'm leaning that way.
2:20This is actually at the same time that Jalen Waddell pulled a hamstring I guess on probably Wednesday I would guess and
2:28maybe the news of it came out on Thursday and is expected to miss a week.
2:33We're not moving him yet but like let's it's not good you know.
2:37Malik Neighbors participated in some walkthrough periods against the defense which certainly doesn't mean he's doing quote unquote everything but it's something.
2:44Kenyon Sadiq. To me this qualifies as a downgrade.
2:47Again when the negative stuff can't help leaking out that's when we really pay attention.
2:51Sadiq had hernia surgery in the spring but then had a setback in training camp and he'll miss quote unquote a couple weeks.
2:59And guess what? That's most of training camp. It only goes to like the 29th and if it's a couple weeks then that's the 21st.
3:07So the idea that this isn't a setback for a rookie tight end seems wrong to me.
3:12You certainly cannot be drafting Kenyon Sadiq to be your fantasy starter.
3:16Jalen McMillan has a knee issue and has missed multiple practices in his quest for the number three receiving job with the Buccaneers.
3:23And to be honest I say number three. We don't it's not really the way it works anymore.
3:29In any given week number three if he's out there can be number one.
3:34So it's an important job to have clearly be yours.
3:37And right now the rookie Ted Hurst has apparently looked pretty good so far.
3:41So we're going to stay tuned and file that away again not making a change on August 7th but I'm making lists
3:48of things to keep tracking and those will be on there.
3:52And then there's some Colts news. We had some some bad some good.
3:56The bad Alec Pierce who we just talked about yesterday on the show with JJ Zacharyson as one of my film room heroes.
4:03But that doesn't necessarily translate as someone that we're racing to draft this year because of this ankle surgery that he had.
4:10That news continues not to be amazing. It was actually Roto Pat Patrick Doherty my very good friend our very good friend
4:17who detailed on Roto World yesterday that the Colts continue to say that Alec Pierce is without a timeline to return.
4:24And that's the head coach saying that. Pat points out that GM Chris Ballard said nine days ago that Pierce was a week or two from returning.
4:33And nine days is kind of a week or two ain't it?
4:37If the coach is still saying there's no timeline.
4:39That does not read to me like things are ahead of schedule as you know in the NFL ahead of schedule means on schedule.
4:47Is there still more more than whatever a month before week one there is?
4:52But you know cautionary tales abound of guys who can't do anything all of August who are then supposed to be good in week one right away.
5:00Often it does not happen. Alec Pierce already got lowered over the course of the summer to wide receiver 33 standard 36 PPR in my ranks.
5:08Without the injury he would be significantly higher. And he has some downward mobility to go even lower depending on how this
5:15goes over the course of the next week or two.
5:19The good Colts observation on the other hand is that camp observers seem to be impressed with Danny Tencent piece Daniel Jones.
5:26He got an action figure cartoon in the almanac.
5:29That turned out absolutely hilarious when I saw it.
5:31I laughed out loud. And now he's getting rave reviews for looking like he can do everything in camp eight months after rupturing his Achilles.
5:39It's clearly not game action. He is clearly not taking hits.
5:43I am not making a ranks move on Daniel Jones based on one week's worth of people going, Oh, he doesn't limp.
5:50But I'm prepared to raise him some. The Colts first joint practice is next week.
5:55I believe Tuesday. It's against the Patriots. For me, if Jones keeps getting reviews like this, granted, again, he's not going to get hit in a joint practice.
6:04But there'll be more of a sense of, you know, the other team is going to be after him and going to be trying to stop him.
6:12And if his mobility and timing and everything still looks as good as it's apparently looked.
6:17You know, I have Jones really low. I have him QB 26.
6:21Based on last year, if he hadn't gotten hurt, we all know he would be QB whatever.
6:2714, 11, 16, somewhere in there. I'm not sure I'll get him quite that high, but he will get higher than 26.
6:34Why don't I just read his almanac profile? Because it can put you in the mindset of how I was feeling about it this summer.
6:42It goes a little something like this. The wildest redemption arcs in history are 1.
6:46Alfred Nobel. 2. Danny Trejo. 3. Bubbles from the Wire.
6:50Daniel Jones doesn't quite have it like that yet.
6:53But if you think about it, Jones is the exact triangulation point between those three historical luminaries.
6:58I sure didn't see 2025 coming. As of week 13, Daniel Jones was fantasy's QB 7.
7:03He had 5 rushing touchdowns, and he was 5th in passing yards, 8th in completion percentage, and 8th in on-target throw percentage.
7:10In last year's Jones profile in the almanac, I wrote, Yo!
7:14I mean, I didn't believe it for one second, but it's pretty much what happened.
7:18Jones' 2025 film isn't littered with incredible 10-bells throws.
7:21But he was awesome in the high red zone, a 15-0 touchdown-interception ratio.
7:25He was way better at working through progressions than in his Giants days.
7:30And while it did feel like he missed chances to go down the field, week 3 against the Titans, Indianapolis scored 41
7:37points, but in the second quarter, Jones had Alec Pierce streaking alone up the left side and held it forever but never turned his head.
7:45Overall, I'm sure Shane Steichen was happy to have Jones' air on the side of playing buttoned up.
7:50His only truly terrible start came week 9 at Pittsburgh, where Jones dug a hole with a rancid, short, early pick, simply
7:57not seeing linebacker Peyton Wilson standing right in front of him, and made it worse with poor decisions all day.
8:04But if Jones had made it through the season healthy, I think the Colts would have made the playoffs, and we would regard him differently for 2026.
8:12Also, we all wouldn't have had to waste another month of our lives contemplating senior baby Bjorn, Phillip Rivers.
8:18Well, alas, on December 7th, Jones snapped his right Achilles in Jacksonville.
8:22Without knowing for sure whether he'll be ready to start the season or even play much all year, the Colts decided to
8:29transition tag Jones and then signed him for another two years, although the team definitely has outs before 2027.
8:35Perhaps we'll be surprised and Jones will be ready to go week 1, but it seems likelier that Riley Leonard gets September and possibly more.
8:43This is one of those cases where we'll track training camp news, because this is such a major injury that it should
8:50become obvious whether Jones is anywhere close to playing a mere nine months post-Achilles.
8:55If we get better than expected news, Jones' rank has upward mobility to get into starting Superflex territory.
9:01So, yeah. I mean, rereading what I wrote in the spring, that is fair.
9:05And there is obviously upward mobility. I'm not believing it entirely just yet, not least because it's still Danny Tencent piece.
9:12It's going to take more than a half a season to wipe away the memory of all those Giants years.
9:18But no question, we're leaning heavily toward him deserving to go higher.
9:22And it's a question of how high? I mean, obviously in the Almanac, I said like starting Superflex territory.
9:28That was my hedge to say 24, top 24.
9:31I think he deserves to go higher than that.
9:34If he really looks this good, and there's never any setbacks for the next, say, two weeks or so, I think he's going to go higher than 24.
9:43I will definitely keep an eye on it. And of course, you can get the Almanac right now at harrisfootball.com and give
9:50yourself a month's worth of fun reading before your fantasy draft.
9:53Speaking of fun reading, the effort to rig the bestseller list on behalf of Cumulative Press continues.
9:59Cumulative, that's what I want to say. I do have a new novel that's coming out on September 1st.
10:05It's called Pound Foolish. You can find out about it at harrisfootball.com as well.
10:09And I'm also going on a reading tour beginning August 23rd in Tacoma and then the 24th in Portland, 25th in Las Vegas, 26th in Scottsdale, Arizona.
10:18So you can come see me, hang out. I mean, we could do some reading, but then mostly just hang out afterwards.
10:25So I would love to meet as many of you as possible.
10:29Also sign some books there as well. And we got something like 60 more bribery candidates just in the last 24 hours, which is awesome.
10:37Now still a very tiny fraction of the listening audience, which is great.
10:41If you've already entered, the tinier the fraction, it gives you a better chance to win the two random drawings that will happen later in today's show.
10:49Somebody's winning a one-on-one Zoom with me. Someone is winning Andy Barron's reading out their league's draft order.
10:55We'll do the drawing later in the show with Cousin Josh.
10:59And if you would like to get bribed, go to harrisfootball.com.
11:02You'll find Pound Foolish on there. Pick one of the retail links.
11:06Pre-order the book. Not from Amazon, but anywhere else.
11:09Not because I'm against Amazon, but because they don't count the bestseller list the same way.
11:14Once you buy it, send a screen capture to heyharris at harrisfootball.com.
11:18You will be entered. I will be doing a drawing every single day for the rest of August.
11:24You'll win something fun. You'll win a baseball cap or a shirt or a signed almanac, a signed novel of mine.
11:30Yes, many more one-on-one Zoom sessions with me to talk draft strategy or whatever else you want to talk about.
11:37And the grand prize will be someone actually appearing on the podcast with me for a few minutes.
11:42I've been asked whether this book is available for pre-order in the UK.
11:47I've seen that it definitely is. I've been asked about Canada.
11:50I think it is. I saw it at McNally Robinson's website, but I'm not positive about other places.
11:56It's on my list to fully figure that out for my Canadian friends.
12:00Anywhere you are in the world, feel free to drop me an email and let's figure out how you can get it
12:07listed someplace where you can buy it for a reasonable price and reasonable shipping.
12:11I'm the damn publisher, so, you know, I gotta figure that stuff out.
12:16Now, I wanna make clear, I know I ask you to buy stuff and I feel bad about that.
12:22I know some folks don't have that kind of discretionary income to buy stuff and I hate for anyone to feel less
12:29involved or less than in any way because of money.
12:32So if you would like to read Pound Foolish and more importantly, if you'd like to be entered to be bribed, let's
12:39face it, that's what we're all about here, please don't be embarrassed.
12:43Please write in. Let me know. HeyHarris at HarrisFootball.com.
12:46You know, money is tight right now. It's hard to justify.
12:49You're saving for something. You're having a kid. You're saving for a wedding.
12:53I completely understand. There's no judgment at all and we've now had four more generous listeners offer to donate copies to those
13:00who are having a harder time making ends meet right at this moment.
13:04Please take advantage. We love everybody who listens to this show and we will take care of you and again, don't feel weird about it.
13:12Around here, the opossums take care of each other.
13:15That's why it's such an incredible community. Today's kickoff.
13:18Okay, on today's show, it's a Friday and he's not yet on vacation so you know who owns the night.
13:25It's the Prince of Darkness himself. Cousin Josh will return to the show, a glorious return and Josh and I will count
13:32down our acid reflux all-stars for 2026. It'll be a great time.
13:35The little guy is back in the saddle again.
13:38I thank you again so much for listening today.
13:41We have a brand new sponsor today. It's Dose, D-O-S-E.
13:44It's a delicious juice that helps self-manage cholesterol levels.
13:47I have been drinking a little two ounce shot of Dose each morning.
13:51You get a little shot glass, a little steel shot glass.
13:55It's absolutely delightful tasting like mango with a hint of ginger and Dose targets triglycerides, LDL, HDL and total cholesterol levels.
14:02I checked the ingredients. Nothing crazy in there. It's turmeric, gooseberry, a natural antioxidant and other plant-based ingredients.
14:07Tastes great. Is clinically proven to aid cholesterol levels.
14:10If that's something you've been thinking about and trying to manage, I'd recommend giving it a try because it's two ounces a day.
14:18It really is delicious. All natural. And for me, it's an easy habit each morning.
14:22If you'd like to try, new Dose customers can save 35% on your first month of subscription by going to dosedaily.co slash Harris or entering Harris at checkout.
14:31That's D-O-S-E-D-A-I-L-Y dot C-O slash Harris for 35% off your first subscription month.
14:35Today's guest. I put our name on the list.
14:38Joy's looking forward to this. They said two hours of wait.
14:42I said that's just my way and I'd go back for a drink.
14:46Invite a friend, I think. We'd just relax for a bit.
14:50But then the call came quick. Skinny jeans are holding my chaps.
14:53My phone was buzzing. Spicy taboo craving. Where they gonna sit us, baby?
14:58Hey, we just got here. And this is crazy.
15:00But here's our table in the kitchen, baby. My phone and beer on.
15:05So nasty. But it's all worth it. For ugly babies.
15:08I know I'm there on the mouse. I'm flying now.
15:11But it's so tasty. Can't wait to go back to ugly baby.
15:15It's a classic and people have been hungering for the return of Cousin Josh.
15:19He's here. It's finally happening. He... I'm gonna ask him actually.
15:23Has he gone to the new revised ugly baby that's not near his apartment?
15:27But first, we need to say. You can follow him on Instagram at Detective Fish.
15:32F-I-S-C-H because... Probably you will start posting more because you have a big vacation coming up in the beginning of September.
15:39Yeah. It's great. First of all, Chris, it's great to be back.
15:43I've been talking about this. Some of my fans have messaged me and when I say fans, my close friends in my
15:50home chat saying, I feel like you usually do this in July and I said, nope.
15:55Week one of August. That's where the world's most famous podcast guest gets his thing going.
16:00But yeah, I got a trip to Italy coming up in about a month.
16:04So yeah, I'm just... I'm obtaining my apparel now, getting my swim trunks hemmed.
16:09I want to make sure I'm in a good place for this trip.
16:13The things are good. Are you really? Are you really getting swim trunks hemmed?
16:17This season, no. Last season, yes. I will get a pair of shorts I bought hemmed, but I just haven't had time to get to the tailor.
16:26And yes, it's the same tailor that charges me extra to get my extra small slim fit shirts dry cleaned.
16:32So have you been to the new ugly baby?
16:35I still have not. I tried to go a couple of months ago, but there was a long line.
16:41I could get a reservation, but it's just one of these things I've been lazy.
16:46But no, I haven't gone there yet. So it's all my summer things to do before the summer ends.
16:52It's not as convenient. It's just, you know, it used to be much closer.
16:57Yeah. Instead of being able to walk in six minutes, it's nine minutes now.
17:01That extra three minutes is just, it's not the same.
17:04It's the hard life of the Brooklynite. All right.
17:07Well, so we're going to do a few things here.
17:10We're going to, we're going to call out some winners.
17:14We have winners for the first bribery of the pound foolish bribery.
17:17We also can announce because Josh was not listening to the show this week.
17:22Thanks for your support. That Josh will, is going to participate.
17:25Josh is going to offer stuff for bribery as well.
17:29We're not, we don't exactly know what yet because this is all news to him within the last five minutes, but he's, he's really enthused to do something.
17:37And so frankly, Hey, Harris at Harris football.com. If you have an idea for what you'd like out of Josh as a
17:45bribery, nothing, he has a full-time job, nothing major, but something small that he can contribute as to be drawn the way
17:52we have Andy contributing later in the show. That would be lovely.
17:55So you of course are on top of the fantasy football world metaphorically and literally you're, you know, you're obviously the world's most famous guest.
18:03You're also, you're just, you're tuned in, you're paying attention.
18:07You are a superstar in the almanac itself. We've got all those, we had long conversations that have wound up in the
18:14almanac quoted, you know, the cousin Josh says, I think just basically, can you give us the overall lay of the land,
18:21the extent to which you intend to dominate 2026?
18:23Just in general for fantasy football? Yeah. Is that what you're asking for?
18:28You want, you use strategy or you just want some commentary from me?
18:32Like just like off the cuff. I don't know.
18:35Commentary, yeah. Yeah. Like, look, I play in, you know, two serious leagues, one dynasty that I've dominated for over a decade
18:42and I've yet to win in La Liga that you're part of.
18:45And then I have my home league where I'm coming off my fourth title.
18:50It was an amazing season. Looking to obviously do that again.
18:53I'm here if anyone has any questions for me.
18:56I'm not as fast on Instagram, but I'll do my best to reply.
19:01If you have questions on PPR, I'm not here for that.
19:04Kids play PPR. I don't do it. Chris puts the ranks up.
19:08You're welcome to check his harrisfootball.com for his PPR ranks.
19:11You won't get that from me. You're lucky if I give you some 0.5 PPR.
19:16Some people have to stoop down to that level, but I don't know.
19:20Is that kind of what you were looking for, Chris?
19:23Sure. I'm just the confidence. We're just, we just all want, before we start talking of individual players here, we just all
19:30love hearing how confident you are when you're offering out your pearls of wisdom.
19:35And so let's do this. It's the acid reflux all-star list.
19:38It is the list of players. What do they give you, Josh?
19:42What do they give you? I think it's indigestion, but can I just say one quick joke?
19:47I got this email, and I know really quickly, Chris, you send it every year.
19:52We've done it, I think, three years in a row we kick things off with the acid reflux.
19:58And you used to send, I believe the term is, stress farts.
20:02Correct. And I'm sitting here now, and I look, and I'm like, this is the first time you wrote indigestion.
20:08And I'm like, you know, I was kind of getting used to seeing this stress fart thing.
20:14Not that I've ever actually had that. No. No.
20:16But like, and there's never had a stress fart.
20:19I mean, like I've had issues, and maybe this is a completely different podcast, but like, I don't know.
20:25My stress gets me in other different ways. Sweaty armpits.
20:29Some people, I guess, have hot gas or stress farts, but yeah, indigestion will go with.
20:34Well, the reason I didn't put it in the email is because I wondered if you would remember the term, and obviously,
20:41I have had my, let's face it, if I've had any impact in the world writ large, it's planting your flag on
20:48a player in fantasy football and stress farts. That's about it.
20:51Right. I'm very proud. You're a family member. You must be very proud of me.
20:56So this is, this is a list of five players apiece that we have done for a few years running now in
21:03which we're not saying don't draft them. We're, we're saying we're not sure what we're doing with them, that there could come
21:10a price at which we might be interested. ADP is kind of hot garbage right now, and I'm not going to really
21:17even look at it and not certainly not going to live by it until, you know, for a couple more weeks at least.
21:24But, so like, we're not really offering advice about whether to take them.
21:29We're just saying that if you do take them, prepare for an up and down ride, a potential high variance type players, but I call them stress farts.
21:38You want me to kick it off? Unless you'd have any thoughts on the list written off?
21:43No, I, I did the same thing as you.
21:46I tried to stay away from injury players. I'm fine if you want to put that in there, but yeah, I kind
21:53of look at it and I go, I know if I'm going to take this person, like you said, it's a high
22:00variance pick, and I usually think it's probably going to start out the season definitely where I'm going to be kind of
22:07each week going like, come on, man, come on, man.
22:10But I kind of picked a lot of people where the capital's in a place where I'm like, ah, kind of telling
22:17myself a story, but I just, I know the ride's not smooth, Chris.
22:21It's everyone on this list will not have a smooth ride.
22:25We're going to call this the Christian McCaffrey honorary memorial list because we could easily put Christian McCaffrey on this list every year.
22:32You know that. Let's face it, these lists generally are just sort of a way to talk about different players.
22:39I try not to nominate the same players across multiple lists in the same year so you hear me talk about other
22:46players and you can develop your own opinions out there.
22:49So yes, indeed, it's a pointless countdown. Who's your number five?
22:52Acid Reflux All-Star for 2026. I think you've made maybe a bigger stance on this player.
22:57I had Marvin Harrison, the regular one, not the junior.
23:01We don't do juniors in the show, Chris. I have him as my wide receiver 33.
23:06I know I think you're like 41 or so so you're probably a little bit more off of him than I'm not.
23:13I'm curious, did you consider him? Not really because you're right.
23:16I don't really, I don't think I'm going to wind up with him.
23:20Yeah. It's funny, like what a wild world we live in.
23:24Two years ago, generation of prospect going at the turns of drafts.
23:28You and I, of course, that year put that immediately as like, yeah, that's trash.
23:33You don't do it. Next year was a little bit more palatable round four.
23:37And now you're in this place where it's going to be going mostly as like that fringe wide receiver three.
23:43It's probably going to settle in, I'm guessing, to like a round six pick.
23:48And I put him on this list because now I'm at a place where it's, like last year was a nightmare and
23:55I'll get to that in a second. But the draft price entices me.
23:59Like you now have to get a quote unquote air quotes, you can't see it, generation of prospect.
24:05And I don't have to use more than a wide receiver price, right?
24:09It kind of, Chris, feels like when I'm going to buy like a cashmere sweater on off season and like it used
24:16to be $240 and now it's $90 but it's final sale and it's like in a lavender or something and I go,
24:23if I get this and it hits and it fits me great, it's like, yo bro, where'd you get that sweater?
24:30It's sick. But if not, it's like, it's just enough almost to hurt me where I've like, I've spent 90 bucks, it
24:37used to be $240, I can't return it and then I'm like, yo George, you want this?
24:42Here's a situation I'm in. I like it because now I don't have to spend that draft capital.
24:48I'm kind of on the fence if this is just going to be someone who you kind of liken to Braylon Edwards,
24:55I think, in the Almanac, which I thought was a really good reference of how many of these top five receivers, right,
25:02after two seasons didn't put it together and then all of a sudden just went, whoa, year three.
25:08And again, Braylon Edwards, I think, is a great example because he exploded.
25:12I think it was like 16 TDs and then we never heard from him again.
25:17That's right. He did it once. I'm kind of on the fence where to stand with this player.
25:22Like, I'm telling myself these stories. It's like, well, it's year one under Michael Fleur.
25:27But then I sit here and I go, man, like, I know definitively he's the second best receiver, in my opinion, on this team.
25:35Like, he's not Trey McBride. But when I saw him in Wilson, it's like, he's still getting more of the target share then than him.
25:43And like, I'm just on the fence, Chris, because I'm now at a point where does he ever put it together or
25:50is this just something where we look back and we're like, yeah, he just wasn't what he thought he, it wasn't what we thought he was.
25:58Like, he has the build, looks good, but like, is there something between the ears right now?
26:04Like, I try to not to pay too many attention to these videos of him just dropping the ball in practice, similar to Jamar Chase year one, right?
26:12But like, it's tough to completely disregard it. It's year three.
26:16And then lastly, like, I also have to look at this team, dude, where it's like, they're not going to pass the
26:23ball the same amount they did last year. That's just so unreasonable, right?
26:27What Perset was doing down the stretch too. I also get concerned you can get the second half of the year where
26:34they're like, all right, this isn't the NBA, but would it be the worst thing if we kind of lost six or
26:41seven games in a row with Carson Beck, a quarterback?
26:44And it's like, there's a lot of things that make me cringe.
26:48So I've kind of gone back and forth on this.
26:51You don't have to pay a hefty price tag, but there's definitely a lot of warts here.
26:57I don't think he's a generational player, but if you spend round six, round seven, and he kind of gives you a
27:04thousand yards and six or seven TDs, it's not the worst thing.
27:08And like, that's where I'm kind of like, it's a great discount.
27:12It's a really, really good discount. I said this on the show.
27:15Do you know how many players had a thousand yards last year?
27:19How many receivers? I'm going to go with, I can't tell if you're saying this is the higher man or low, and
27:26I think it's going to be low. So I'm going to say 13.
27:3019. But the point being, is he really going to be one of them?
27:35You know, that's what I just don't, I kind of don't think so.
27:39Maybe. And you know, I think it's fine that you're saying what round you're presuming that you're going to get him in,
27:46but I will emphasize that that is highly subject to change.
27:50Of course. We get, I mean, we get, you know, some joint practice where he goes nuts.
27:55He's going to go to the fourth round. You know, like these, the ADP that we have right now is very fake.
28:02So, all right. My, my number five also receiver, also in the same class and also a stress farter.
28:08I put Brian Thomas on this list. I have Brian Thomas a little bit higher than Marvin Harrison.
28:14I'm probably a little likelier to take the plunge depending on the price.
28:18There's a lot of other, you know, I have Parker Washington higher a little bit higher than Brian Thomas in both standard and in PPR.
28:26So, I'm guessing, like I don't really know. And what I do know though is that what the new Jags coaching staff
28:33tried to do with Brian Thomas last year, they're never going to try to do again, which was they tried to turn him into Nico Collins.
28:41They tried to make him a full field guy.
28:44Let's throw him screens. Let's throw him, you know, slants.
28:47Let's, let's get him in the middle of field.
28:50Let's go up the seam. No, he's going to ride the rail because they just realized even before he got hurt that it wasn't working.
28:58So, you know, there's a, there's a, there's, what do the kids say?
29:02Fear of missing out? A little FOMO. Yep. More for me, Brian Thomas than Marvin Harrison.
29:07I don't, you know, the difference between Brian Thomas and Marvin Harrison is that 2024 happened and Brian Thomas was awesome.
29:14So, like, I've seen him be able to do it.
29:17Clearly, I don't know for sure anything. I mean, if Travis Hunter is still playing offense, it's, you know, and I, I
29:24like the tight, Brenton Strange, the tight end. Like, there's a lot of mouths to feed as they say and Brian Thomas
29:31isn't going to be the full field wonder. I kind of think Parker Washington will, but yeah, like for a kind of
29:38wide receiver three price, I can't imagine myself stressing out, but taking him.
29:43I have him on my list, but I waited for you to go.
29:47So we can talk a little bit more. No, it's completely fine because I had, I had him as my three.
29:53The order really doesn't make a difference, but I wrote similar stuff to you.
29:58I had a bullet that said, unlike Harrison, I've seen him perform as a wide receiver one.
30:03And like, I really have a difficult time just completely disregarding that year one because it was so impressive.
30:09Like from a speed perspective and just downfield. And sure, it wasn't with Trevor Lawrence, but I have a difficult time just
30:16forgetting about one of the better rookie seasons I've seen in recent years and what we all thought of him going into a draft last year.
30:25And look, I spent the 16 pick on him last year and won a league despite him.
30:30And I remember talking to you all throughout. Again, we won't get into his name.
30:35We'll say Brian, but I was in that place and I know what it was like to own him.
30:41And exactly what you said is like you, you played him every week and you watched him like, oh, we'll try him
30:48in the slot and you'd watch him drop balls or in the back of the end zone.
30:53And I'm like, I sit here and I go, is this kind of just more of a, a one trick pony, this amazing downfield threat.
31:01And like, I don't play best ball, Chris, but I get the sense that like, if you take Brian Thomas, it feels
31:08like it's going to be one of these like unenjoyable rides, right?
31:12Yeah. Like four games. Amazing. You got it. Eight games and four games, utter disaster.
31:17Like one catch, seven yards. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's like, it's blazing speed.
31:21I could see it. It's week one. He does five for one 10 and a long TD.
31:27And you know, you've drafted him again. I have them where you have them, I think in the, in the thirties.
31:33And I kind of have them right there with Parker Washington.
31:37And I lean slightly Parker Washington because when the Jags were great at the end of the year and they were really
31:44ascending and things were clicking with Lawrence and they're heading into the playoffs, it was Parker Washington.
31:49It wasn't Brian Thomas. And it feels like he's going to be the guy moved all around the field.
31:55And we're going to get these, like you said, huge surges from Brian Thomas.
32:00And we're going to go, Oh, this is amazing.
32:03Unenjoyable, unenjoyable, unenjoyable. I'm going to bench him. Amazing.
32:06And again, from someone we, I hate to do the too many mouths to feed, but it's like, I know you're a Brenton strange guy.
32:14You and I have discussed him, you know, on our personal calls, not to get too much away.
32:19I'm like, Jacoby Myers there, who knows what they're going to do with Hunter.
32:24And I wrote down like just the bullet, like I could see at the end of this year.
32:30I don't think it happens this year where Brian Thomas isn't on this team anymore and he ends up somewhere else and
32:37in like a, a picking situation because I do think he's talented and he had some injuries last year with the ankle and his wrist was busted up.
32:46And I don't think we could say he was hurt.
32:49He'll return to form, but I could easily see this just be a situation where in a year and a half, he's not on this team.
32:57It's a new environment and we're talking about him again and like, like, well, do we want to kind of give him a chance?
33:05Like we saw, you know, glimpses of it. Now he's in a place like Dallas and Pickens is gone and they have
33:12him here and like, I could see them using him as a downfield threat there.
33:17I don't know, but I'm with you. So I'm interested because you're not using top 15, top 17 capital on it.
33:23We are sponsored again this season by Rocket Money.
33:26It's a pleasure because Rocket Money saves you money.
33:29Are you paying for two different Netflix accounts? My mom was.
33:32She didn't realize my dad had signed up for years on a different credit card and they found it thanks to their son being sponsored by Rocket Money.
33:41They tried it out. They immediately saw the double charge and they canceled the second one and were very happy about it.

34:18Join at rocketmoney.com slash Harris. That's rocketmoney.com slash Harris.
34:21Rocketmoney.com slash Harris. Okay, we're back with Josh. We are counting down our acid reflux all-stars.
34:26I guess we're at year number four. Yeah, you want me to go on this one?
34:31Yeah, go ahead. All right. I put Josh Jacobs on this, Chris, and I just, did you consider or no?
34:38You know, it's, we haven't had a Josh Jacobs conversation this week since we've been back, so we might as well have it.
34:45I mean, it just comes down to the, he seemed very obvious because you're just going to be stressing the whole year that a suspension is coming.
34:54He's my obvious one and that's what it's about and I think, I just kind of wanted to have the conversation because
35:01it is, again, you are one of the biggest Josh Jacobs fans.
35:04I've always been a person like you after one year of saying no and then seeing him explode that year in Oakland.
35:11I'm like, look, I get it. It's fine. Cool.
35:14I'm in now and people poop on him every year but as long as he's playing, like, again, last year, RB1, the
35:21rushing yards went down but the TDs are there.
35:24They've done nothing in Green Bay, you know, to change what they've had from last year and yeah, this ranking, I have
35:31Marby 13 and I wrote the perfect person to pair if you get one of those top two picks.
35:37Like, if I get a Gibbs or a Bajon, I'd love to have Jacobs there.
35:42I think that's such a good start and I think that's probably like an area to pick him in but I think
35:49what gives me pause is exactly what you said.
35:52It's like, we're not going to know until we know.
35:55Like, it's going to be one of these where like, there's a video surface or out of nowhere do we, around week
36:02five do we start to hear things and it's just, for me, it's, I'd be comfortable drafting him as long as we
36:09hear nothing, Chris, because I think every week he's playing he's listed as an RB1.
36:14We got confidence. I don't think any of us are concerned that he's just deteriorated from his skill level like I don't.
36:21Right. But I think it's one of these where I would sit here going like, do I cash this in week six
36:28or seven and get like a younger running back and some other piece and I think that would kind of just give
36:35me this hesitation like I'm on this dream ride.
36:38I'm five and one. I have Jacobs like is it coming?
36:41Is it coming? Is it coming? Yeah. And it's just, it is, it's going to stink because it's going to just be this actuarial game.
36:49I mean, there's never been a clearer recent example of where the fact that we're rooting for Laundrie, you know, he's accused of doing horrible things.
36:58I tend to believe women and so I tend to believe that he did them.
37:03What I'll say is if you're, if you're thinking actuarially, the NFL wheels of justice grind as slow as humanly possible because
37:10the commissioner doesn't really have any independence and it's all about what the owners let him get away with and I think
37:17usually they don't broadside you unless, I mean, I hate to say this, but unless the Ray Rice video comes out like
37:24you were referring to, you know, you get, I mean, buy pound foolish folks.
37:28It's largely what the book's about. Not really. There's a lot of that in there though about, I mean, the first chapter
37:35is about the commissioner and it's not very flattering.
37:38You know, how loud does the noise get? They only, they only act when it gets outraged, you know, when, when things
37:45are, when people are outraged and, you know, I'm loathe to predict on what videos might or might not leak but I
37:52think if they can avoid the kind of visceral outrage and just like let it cruise, he'll get suspended at the beginning
37:59of next year because that's how it usually works and that you'll probably have gotten.
38:04I lean that way too. Yeah, yeah. I lean that way too.
38:08No news is probably good news in that regard.
38:11Yeah, I agree. I just, I think about the Kawhi Leonard investigation that's been going on for what, 10 months and I still hear nothing about it.
38:19And again, the NBA is frankly a little, the NBA, you know, overreacts to public opinion.
38:24Like the NBA is, you know, like way more reactive than the NFL is for sure.
38:29But I thought it was worth having the discussion.
38:32I know you and I are fans of it and it gets to a point, it's like at what point do you pull the trigger?
38:40And again, you know where you're going to pick him.
38:43The people surrounding him are like, those are really like the league winner type guys where you don't want to throw a
38:50dart on someone that's going to just be at five, six, seven games, whatever it is.
38:56It's round three, round four is where we're going to be making that call on Jacobs.
39:01No question. I feel pretty confident that nobody's going to be, I mean, it's because the people already don't like him.
39:07So he's not going to be any higher than he would normally go.
39:12All right, my number four, someone, again, you know, I know what you mean when you say we're a fan of these
39:19guys, but like we have to be careful that we don't know them as people.
39:23And so number four, very much someone I'm known as liking, McLovin, Terry McLaurin.
39:28He was the first name I picked. He wound up number four, but he was the first name I thought of when
39:35I was like, all right, I got to sit down and make this list to talk about with Josh.
39:41And it's probably because I'm so inclined toward his game.
39:44I think what he does is awesome. Like he's the perfect example of what I want in a receiver.
39:50He's an absolute alpha. He's a baller. He's just, you know, got that thing.
39:55Clutch, I believe in it. You know, he is, he's fast.
39:58He runs unreal routes, but let's face it, except for one year in his career, it's kind of always been something.
40:05And last year was no, I mean, last year was multiple somethings.
40:09Last year was utter, utter trash disaster because he holds out.
40:12He's not in shape. He gets hurt. And then the quarterback, even worse, gets hurt.
40:17And by the time, I mean, you know, they played together a little bit, but not much.
40:22And yeah, it turned out to be an absolute mess.
40:26I have him wide receiver 19. And, you know, for me, that translates to, I mean, standard league that translates to like, where are we?
40:34Fourth round. I'm calling it fourth round. PPR. I think that's where he's gone.
40:38Yeah, I could, I could see him go like, and I would want to do it.
40:43I would, I would get to the point in the fourth round where I would take Terry McLaurin, probably 90 earlier.
40:50It's 31 now. And like, I don't think last year was anything about, you know, a fall off in skills, but those skills can also incidentally happen.
40:59I think Stefan Diggs being in Washington talked about it on Thursday's show.
41:03Like, great. I think that's good. Frankly, we need, we need other people to be able to catch the ball.
41:09Give a full season of health to Daniels. Give a full season of health to McLaurin.
41:14I know what the ceiling is. I saw it two years ago, but I, of course, I'm going to stress out about it.
41:22Yeah, I, I think I have McLaurin in a similar place.
41:25Like, I know you said a lot's going to change.
41:28He's going to be around for pick. I have him 20.
41:32What do you say? You have 19? 19. Yep.
41:35Yeah. So we're basically in the same place. Yeah.
41:37And, you know, he's just, he's got the, the wide variance possibilities because I mean, as much as I say, I like
41:45him and as much as, you know, this show is all dedicated to the notion of, come on, you need to figure out who the best players are.
41:53Well, he is one of the best receivers in the league.
41:57I really think he is. And, he scored 13 touchdowns two years ago and other than that, you know, it's a thousand yards receiving, eleven hundred yards receiving.
42:06We don't have the big blow up year other than the touchdowns two years ago and I gotta eat that.
42:12You know, I gotta be, I gotta be honest that the production has never really matched what I've raved about him on film.
42:20So, I guess that's why it makes me nervous.
42:22Your number three is Brian Thomas so we'll get to my number three.
42:27I will ask you, I don't think you'll have him because you had him as an honorable mention last year but I put Kenneth Walker on my list.
42:36No, I didn't put him on last year. Robert Pattinson, Kenneth Walker.
42:39I call him Kenny Three Sticks now because now he wears the, he wears the Kenneth Walker the third on his back so he's Kenny Three Sticks.
42:48I of course understand what can go right. I don't imagine I'm gonna wind up from the way people are talking about
42:55Kenneth Walker I don't imagine I'm gonna get him because it feels like people are fantasizing about some Chiefs offense from five
43:02years ago that doesn't really exist anymore especially with a quarterback coming back from a torn ACL and he probably will play
43:09week one Patrick Mahomes and I, you know, I believe he'll probably be pretty good.
43:14I don't, really believe that he'll be flawless because it's just a hard thing to be really mobile with and it's a
43:21long grind and I don't, I don't, I mean, I'll ask it as a question.
43:26Would you number the Chiefs as like one of the five best offenses in the league going into the season?
43:32No. Yeah. I wouldn't put him top 10. You know, if you did put him 10, you know, you might put him 10, 9, 10, something like that.
43:41You know, like, I, so like, it seems to me that there's a lot of, with Kenneth Walker, again, not really worrying
43:48about ADP, but just understanding the discourse, doing mock drafts, you know, doing the fishbowl, that kind of stuff, seeing where he goes.
43:55Whenever he goes, I always go, woo, I get it.
43:59Because if you're going back in time a little bit, you say to yourself, finally, the Chiefs aren't messing around with Clyde Edwards-Elair and all his inheritors.
44:07You know, you're finally getting a real dude. Say what you want about Kenneth Walker, and he has limitations, player that you and I both like.
44:16Like, he's the realest dude they've had there in all the times they've, and unfortunately, it seems to me like they're plugging
44:23him into an offense that could need some milk of magnesia.
44:26Yeah. He's in that, it's such a unique, or I should say, it's such an interesting group of players because he's going
44:33where it's like, it's Walker, it's Hampton and Henry and HN and Barkley, and it's like, yeah, it's, I think everyone is
44:40automatically assuming, and I like Walker and I'm, I'm not so much on like the queasy side, but like, I think it's,
44:47everyone has these ideas of two years ago, we saw Barkley and Jacobs and Henry and everyone switched teams and just erupt
44:54and I think it's like, all right, we're automatically going to get that and we haven't seen Walker play a full year
45:01yet, like he's had some lower extremity issues over the years, like from a talent perspective, like I love the guy, I
45:08think like from an explosive rate, he's awesome, I think he can catch the ball even more than we saw in Seattle,
45:15but like I'm with you, like if you want to take him, especially in standard leagues, it's basically kind of an end
45:22of, it's a top 15 pick in some version.
45:25Oh yeah, okay, so I mean that's, that's almost Marvin Harrison type territory, again, I'm not doing this based on ADP, so
45:32you know, I'm not taking him there, I'm not interested in him there, I like him, I think he's a very good
45:39player, a lot of the crazy discourse, just inevitable, it happens every year, they're throwing him a lot of passes, Josh, he's
45:46going to be massive in the receiving game, Josh, don't you know, there's a 60 catch season out there for him, Josh,
45:53the problem is they say that about everybody, usually doesn't happen, you know, like it just, it's probably not the thing he
46:00does best, certainly was never the thing he did best in Seattle, so yeah, I'm not going to pay that price for
46:07him, that's for sure, how about your number two?
46:10This one I struggled with, because you and I both like this player, you like him, I mean, both of us talked
46:17a lot about him last year and he was a rookie, I have him 21, you have him 15, I had Ted
46:24McMillan on here, and I'll tell you, you know why I'm going to say this, I heard a deep breath, oh no,
46:31no, I was just like, I looked at his name, and then I tried to think to myself, does he actually make
46:38me nervous, and I thought, he kind of doesn't, but go ahead, yeah, like I said, I have him 21, you have
46:45him 15, and I think what, you and I both love him as a player, like I think you had an interesting
46:52few comps and it's like, you know, the frame reminds you a little bit about Burris, that's like a big dude, and
46:59just, he was really, really impressive last year with a pretty below average quarterback, which I'll get to in why it concerns
47:06me, I think what was awesome about last year is, when you were drafting Ted McMillan and what we thought was like
47:13a, not the greatest wide receiver class, like you probably spent ending back then, like, I don't even know what round pick
47:20he was, but you're picking him as a wide receiver four, right, and he comes out, he does one of the 19
47:27players, I guess it was a thousand yards, seven keys, that's an awesome rookie season, and I've seen guys have these awesome
47:34rookie seasons and follow it up, you know, with subpar ones, like our cutie, Lad McConkie, but more to come on that,
47:41not today, but another one, but I guess what's really tricky is this, Chris, that offense really hasn't changed, right, they invest
47:48in the defense, they want to run the ball, I'm with you, where you can't just say I want to run the
47:56ball in today's NFL, it doesn't exist, the problem I have with Ted is he's going around those players of like Zay
48:03Flowers, Ibuka, Lad, and like neighbors, and the reason I pause is, like, I really like the player, but I'm thinking to
48:10myself, like, if he hits his ceiling, like, if you said the ceiling of Zay and the ceiling of Ibuka and McConkie
48:17and neighbors and some of those other guys in that group, like, what is his true ceiling for me there?
48:23And that's where it's like it gives me the hesitation because I look at that, like, environment in Carolina and a quarterback
48:30who threw under 200, 100 yards 12 times and I'm like, I'm not waking up tomorrow going, oh yeah, Bryce Young turned
48:37into Baker Mayfield, like, he's just running around with crazed abandon and firing the ball 50 times and I go, there's a little bit of capped upside.
48:46I think Coker's a little bit underrated and when he played last year they were pretty close in targets but like, that's
48:53not the reason I'm not saying McMillan, it's just like, I don't love this environment and it's one of the offenses where
49:00I feel comfortable saying like, this is not all of a sudden going to be an explosive passing team and I just
49:07get concerned where if I take him, I mean, he's going to probably be an end of round three guy, like, he'll probably go ahead of McLaurin, right?
49:16Like, I almost feel like the upside for even a McLaurin that you discussed before is just the higher upside than McMillan.
49:23So it almost feels like it's a structural pick where you're like, alright, like, I'll take him as a two and it's
49:30like, I just hope he kind of gives me close to last year but it just feels capped upside and I think
49:37that's why I had him on this list because it just, it's that environment I can't get over, man, with Bryce Young.
49:44Okay, but he's not a fade for you, he's a...
49:47No. It's a fade where I'm just kind of like, I take him and I go, it reminds me of a couple
49:54of years ago when I needed an RB2 and I just went, oh, Aaron Jones, yeah.
49:59And it's like... Well, let me ask you this, what are you doing with Drake London?
50:04I have London higher. I have London kind of...
50:07Yeah. Why is that environment any better? I know, because you're sitting here going like, you feel good about Michael Penix, you feel good about Tua.
50:15Yeah. I guess, I mean, London was pretty good last year, not so much of a great environment.
50:21I mean, I don't have his stats in front of me but I'm pretty sure he outscored...
50:27He missed five games though. Yeah, but points per game were obviously ahead of him but yeah.
50:32My point is that 2024, Drake London, you know, you go, oh, what's ceiling is there playing for a Kirk Cousins, you
50:39know, Michael Penix rookie season kind of thing and it was like 1209 and is that amazing?
50:44Is that 1814? It is not but it gets you wide receiver six or something.
50:49Like, it's crazy. That's how flat the stupid position is.
50:52You know, it's crazy. So, McMillan's floor, healthy, feels so good and he doesn't need to do very much more.
50:59He could just have two more plays where he, a defender falls down and instead of 1,000 yards receiving and seven touchdowns
51:06it's 1209 and he's, he's, Drake London from two years ago.
51:09Yeah, I guess the only thing that we can move on to the next one is I just look at that group
51:16of people and maybe it's because I had JSN last year and it's like, oh, this feels so nice and I'm just
51:23sitting here, Chris, thinking like, which of these groups of people in that like wide receiver and we can name all those
51:30names, I named a few of those guys and the Higgins is like, who is the person I feel like could, if
51:37one of these guys were to hit and get into that, you know, put together a 1,400 or 1,500 yard season or
51:44100 catch year, like, which of those players and again, I'm not saying I agree his floor is higher but I think his ceiling is lower.
51:53I don't think he's going to crush you. I'm just, for me, it's one of those picks where I'm just like, I
52:00don't know, I just, I do it and I'd go, all right, it's fine, it's Tet, move on.
52:06You know what I do every morning, I put the powder in the water, I drink down my AG1, here's the bottle,
52:13I did it this morning, I get, that could be anything, it's my AG1 bottle, I do it every morning, AG1 is
52:20great, it's eight ounces of water and one scoop of powder and I've gotten rid of my multivitamin, don't take that anymore,
52:27the boost of energy at the gym is obvious and most important for me and why I've really stuck with it for
52:34all these years, AG1 has that prebiotic and that probiotic and other gut health sustaining ingredients built right in and I have
52:41kind of a touchy tummy and when I'm drinking AG1 every day, I just feel better in my stomach and digestion, kind
52:48of like a skeleton key for my stomach feeling better, I really recommend it, I recommend giving it a try, they say
52:55within a few months, many key nutrient levels improve in folks who are consistent with AG1.

53:10Okay, we're back with Josh and before we get back to the list, Josh, let's bribe some people, shall we?
53:16What do you say? Sure, Chris, I like bribing people.
53:20You didn't sound enthusiastic. You don't have to do anything.
53:23Go for it. Except for sound enthusiastic, that's the only thing I want.
53:27Sure, I love a good bribe. All right, good.
53:30So we have two things to give away. These are giveaways to people who have pre-ordered the book or have had someone else pre-order the book for them.
53:39I want to re-emphasize what I said off the top, which is that I now have multiple people offering to buy folks
53:46who can't currently, you know, justify the expense, which we all, of course, understand.
53:50I feel bad because I'm like, oh, this is for sale.
53:54That's for sale. Like, I'm so happy to have you listening.
53:57You're awesome. Like, you're the best. Don't feel bad about it.
54:01And don't feel bad about asking if you want to get a pre-order of this book.
54:06So anyway, two things. I have a little random number generator.
54:09I random number generated the number of entries that we have so far.
54:14And it's for two big winners. The first, the Andy Barons is going to introduce your draft order to your league.
54:20The winner is Thomas Oraccio. I will email you, of course, but I'm announcing it on the show.
54:26Thomas, congratulations. You're the big winner there. We'll get Andy on that soon.
54:30Andy's in Germany right now, but he's coming back.
54:33I'm pretty sure. And then the winner of the Zoom with me, and there will be more of these.
54:39We're going to do another drawing on Monday. The winner is Doug Kirk.
54:43So congratulations to Doug Kirk. Again, I'll send you an email, but, you know, maybe by the time you hear this, you'll
54:50have already gotten the email, but we got our first two winners in the bribery.
54:55Many, many more to come. A bribe a day on the podcast from here on out to the end of the month.
55:02Thank you to everybody. And if you want to enter, of course, buy the pre-order of the book, you can go to
55:09harrisfootball.com, see the links, and take a screen cap, send it to me at heyharris at harrisfootball.com.
55:15And we're going to try to make cumulative press be on the bestseller list, which would just be absolutely hilarious.
55:21Okay, Josh, so we got to get to the rest of this list.
55:25We have three more names. Two of them are mine, so I'll do my number two.
55:30And I'm going to, I'll say it as a question just in case it's your number one.
55:36I have Devontae Adams at number two. Not on my list.
55:39Okay. I mean, he should be my number one, but I just like want, I kind of wanted to be a wise ass with my number one.
55:48I mean, you don't want to talk about variance.
55:51You know, Devontae Adams was, you know, let me say it as a question.
55:55Was Devontae Adams great last year? Because, I mean, he was super fun to own for fantasy.
56:01He was, what, the wide receiver seven scored 14 touchdowns, went crazy late in the year.
56:06Like, great. But, outside of that, you know, it's what a, what a, I don't know, you know, it's almost like I
56:13don't know what to do with him. I don't know where to rank him.
56:17You feel like he's slowing down? I think he probably is slowing down.
56:21I grave him, I downgraded his speed grade upon re-watching some film to a C.
56:26I also upgraded his end zone to an A plus for obvious reasons.
56:30Um, you know, they aren't asking him to be a downfield player as much anymore and it's, you know, he's a very
56:37touchdown dependent player but like, I like the offense.
56:40It's one of the few offenses I feel like sight unseen I'm gonna tell you that I trust going into the season
56:47and it worked even when every team knew it was coming they still could throw these fades and whatever.
56:53Devontae Adams still unbelievably quick in a phone booth.
56:56So, I kind of think these touchdowns are gonna recur again.
57:00I wound up with him at wide receiver 17.
57:02I think it's a fair rank but like, I can imagine being very nervous about it.
57:08I have him 22. I'd never heard that analogy before the phone booth one but he's probably, I mean off the top
57:15of my head for any receiver I've been alive for around the end zone like during the Rogers time, the Stafford time,
57:22he's just so unbelievable in these small spaces, Chris, and like, those back shoulder passes is just unbelievable.
57:27Yeah, I have him 22. I kind of don't know what to do with him.
57:32He and Mike Evans I thought about for this list.
57:35Evans was another one now with the Pearsall injury.
57:38I'm just like, I looked at it and I go, well, the only difference is you can get him much later but
57:45I thought about it and I'm like, you know, it's really fun until it's not fun and it's another hamstring injury and
57:52I'm like, when is he coming back? When is he coming back?
57:56So, I also didn't want to go four out of five receivers on mine but Evans and Adams, I've had a really
58:03difficult time ranking both of those guys and I'm with you.
58:07It's like, I have Adams 22 but, I mean, it's also, what is he, 34 now too?
58:12Yeah, 34. Yeah. I think it's a good one.
58:15He would have been on my honorable mention with Evans.
58:18So, in the Almanac, I did a research project about how old is, how old is too old for wide receiver and
58:25it was a repeat of Devontae Adams' profile from the previous year except for now, I'm counting, instead of, you know, because
58:32he was in, he was entering year 12 so I gave you all the year 12 receivers and now he's entering year
58:3913 so I gave you the year 13 plus, you know, 13 beyond.
58:43There are only six seasons since the year 2000 where a wide out in his 13th season or beyond finished as a
58:50wide receiver one for fantasy that year. Six times in a quarter century.
58:55It's not a lot, obviously. And we don't need Adams to be a number one also but just like to get a
59:02sense of what his actual ceiling is. But the fact is, there are awesome names.
59:06It's all Hall of Famers. It's Tim Brown, Terrell Owens, Chris Carter, Jerry Rice.
59:11So, sure, I don't think Devontae Adams quite registers at that level.
59:15I don't think Devontae Adams is probably going to the Hall of Fame but, eh, really good player and he's gonna do it through touchdowns not yardage.
59:23I'm not mad at somebody who wants to even take him higher than I'm saying because I get it but it is gonna cause tremendous stress.
59:32It sounds like this means your number one must be a running back.
59:36It is. Is yours? It is. I wonder if we got the same guy.
59:40Do you get to watch him? That's a very bad question.
59:44You watch every game. I, I went with, I went with Travion Henderson.
59:48No, I didn't, I didn't do Travion. Mine's gonna be, mine's gonna cause you to be annoyed.
59:53All right, so, that's fine. I like being annoyed.
59:56I spend a lot of time in my life being frustrated.
60:00That's completely fine. You and I are pretty close in this.
60:03I had him as my RB22. I think you have him 21 if I'm correct.
60:08I looked at this and what's interesting about this, I think when it's all said and done, he's gonna settle and ADP
60:15means nothing now but I think it's like an end of four, early five selection and I think you're probably gonna, can
60:22I, can I also just mention that like, it does seem as though the, the arrow was pointing down at least early
60:29in camp because there was a big story about how he can't pass protect still.
60:34Yep. I saw that. If you're making this selection, Chris, right, you're basically, I look at this and I'll say what, I'll explain why I'm saying this.
60:42You're betting on a Ramondre Stevenson injury. Like, if you're taking him as your RB2 number 20, like, if I told you
60:49right now that Ramondre Stevenson tomorrow, knock on wood, right, gets knocked out for the season, I'd say Trevion Henderson is probably
60:56going right where Hampton's going in that, you know, early round two.
61:00Like, I think if he was not here as Stevenson, we'd be talking about this guy in the same place as Hampton
61:07and some of these other players, right? He's part of a team that just won the AFC championship if it was in the Super Bowl.
61:15Like, Ramondre Stevenson is not going away. I think people also forget at the end of the year, right, Denver Broncos game, what did he have?
61:2425 carries. I think over the last three games by heading into the playoffs, he had like six TDs, Stevenson, like, he's
61:31there and they're trying to win a Super Bowl.
61:34Like, I get we like to wish cast some of this stuff and we dream about these explosive runs and he's really explosive, Chris, right?
61:42Those games where he was out, he was an RB1 with Stevenson out and you're basically picking him here.
61:48The thing that and again, he has league winning potential.
61:51If Stevenson goes out, he's going to be listed as a top 10 to 12 running back I think every single week on that offense.
61:59The problem I have with this pick though is this.
62:02How much different, right, is he than a Blake Corum situation?
62:05And what's crazy is Corum will go 50 picks later.
62:09They're both kind of on these high-end offenses, right?
62:12Super Bowl contenders, similar situations. One of these guys, okay.
62:15They're not similar. I disavow the comparison. Blake Corum's not fast, the difference.
62:19Like, there are 80-yard touchdowns for Trevion Henderson even if he's not playing on third down.
62:24Fair. One guy doesn't need the same amount of usage as the other one.
62:28What I'm getting at though is, fine, fair enough.
62:31What I'm saying is this. It's a massive investment to make on someone who we know definitively even is split backfield.
62:38We're betting on, all right, a couple of explosive plays.
62:41I find it just really difficult especially to start the year and when Ramondre's playing.
62:46Like, I say this because he's around four or five pick and every week you're going into this situation going, how much is he going to play?
62:55They're part of this Super Bowl possible team. Like, it's a lot to expect from an RB2 and I think if you're
63:02picking him there you almost have to have a draft plan where you're going to go, all right, in three of my
63:09first five picks I'm going to make sure I have running backs because while I'm waiting on Henderson I kind of want to have another player here.
63:17It's just, I just think it's a unique play.
63:20It sounds like you're calling him a bust, buddy.
63:23I'm not getting, you're not getting the upside. I know, I know.
63:27I'm getting to that point. you got to get to it.
63:30We're going to have a three-hour show. All right.
63:33Long story short is I like him because I think the upside of what you said is great because I think you
63:40have these explosive plays and if anything were to happen to Stevenson you have a top 10, 12 back and I think
63:47while he's, you know, while Stevenson's there you still probably have a flex play.
63:52So, that's where I'm at. I mean, I understand where you're coming from and if anything he has down mobility in his
63:59rank which makes him the more attractive and the more like potential tummy ache inducing because now you're like oh boy, I might actually wind up with him.
64:08So, I wouldn't be shocked if things continue the way they have.
64:12I mean, he played nine, he had nine third down carries last year and that's because he can't play on third down, right?
64:19And so, if he still can't play on third down we're, yeah, we're having to skirt a line.
64:25Here's my, can I tell you why it's a line I might be willing to skirt even with a 45% work share?
64:32My justification, Cam Scadaboo, DeAndre Swift, David Montgomery, Chuba Hubbard, Tony Pollard, Jadarian Price, Bashul Tootin, maybe on the rise but the
64:39point being who are the other running backs who've got these, these mythical running backs who've got these full-time jobs that are
64:46supposedly better than Travion, you know, Travion Henderson with six, with nine third down carries all season last year and remember barely
64:53playing for six weeks when everybody was dropping him finishes the RB19.
64:57Not a good ride because like, what did I say?
65:0058% of his fantasy production came in four games within those four games the vast majority of his, right, the vast majority
65:07of, in those four games came on about four plays because it's all about the ADR touchdown.
65:12The ADR touchdown counts. I understand, I'm not trying to tell you you're not, you're wrong to put him on the list at all.
65:20I'm just trying to fight because you weren't really being positive on the positive side.
65:25So I'm just trying to give the negative case, you're right, he doesn't get any better, they get frustrated with him, big
65:32plays can dry up for a long period of time and suddenly you're like four weeks in since you got a Travion
65:39Henderson touchdown, you're like, oh, I don't even know if I can start him.
65:43You're making a good point. I do, I do get that point.
65:47I'm not trying to disavow it. I'm just trying to give you the positive case.
65:52Fair. Yeah. All right, my number one is, you know, the reason it's a jerk move because, jerk face, jerk face move
65:59because he was my number one on this list last year.
66:02It's Brees Hall. Our old friend, Brees Hall, about whom we actually have not spoken on the pod.
66:08Go ahead. Real dirty move because you send me these people from last year and like, when you send me them and
66:15you show us last year's, I'm like, all right, I'm not going to pick anyone from last year and I cross the
66:22ball and then it's like, go on back to the well, but you can go on.
66:27It's a dirty move. I'm, I'm 100% with you.
66:30It's, it's Weasley. But it's really interesting because to trust Brees Hall at anything like what I'm saying you can trust him at, which I have him RB13.
66:39You're, you're, like Brees Hall didn't get worse last year and he probably didn't get better this year and, and, you know, he played okay.
66:47He just got avalanched and he had whatever, 1400 yards from scrimmage.
66:51Like, it's not a disaster season. It's just, you're making it a, you're making a bet on some level of probability that
66:58the Jets are just better on offense. It's a more functional team with Geno Smith and my God, I just saw Geno Smith.
67:05So, we all know I love Brees Hall. Ability-wise, he's very fast.
67:09He's a 220-pound back who can run like that.
67:12Pretty elusive. Very strong. Can be his own gold line back.
67:15A really good receiver. Like, he's one of my favorite running backs in the league.
67:20I think he's great. And, I think he might be a little bit of a loser for not leaving New York because
67:27he really kind of should have gone somewhere else.
67:30But, okay, I'm wrong. He's not a loser. Whatever.
67:33Whatever. He was this person last year, but one year younger and didn't really light the world on fire and drove us
67:40pretty crazy for most of the season. It scares the hell out of me to be calling him RB13 again.
67:46It scares the hell out of me not again, but like, to be getting him that high.
67:52It scares the hell out of me to be saying, cool, I'm in the second round, I'm taking Brees Hall.
67:58I think I would, at least where I sit right now, but it scares the hell out of me.
68:04Yeah, I have him 14. We're in the similar place.
68:08If we were allowed to put guys on, because I think I had him as my three last year, I would probably consider him.
68:15Yeah, he was our only overlap last year. Yeah.
68:18I'm with you, and it's tough to take that leap of faith and go, oh yeah, it's Geno Smith now.
68:24That's the savior. We're in a much better place now.
68:28His franchise is in really good hands. Coaching and everything looks really, really good here.
68:32Like, you know, Aaron Glenn's fine. It's a difficult task to go back to that well.
68:38I'm with you. I really wish you would have ended up in like Washington or somewhere else and we were doing this
68:45list and we're like, hey, and we're talking about do you want him or HN?
68:49We're having these discussions because you and I really do like the player.
68:54Yeah. How much do you want to disregard last year and kind of, it's just, I don't know.
68:59It wasn't even that bad of a year. Like, no, it just, we all know what it felt like to have him.
69:06He finished RB 18, clearly not what we drafted him for, but he finished RB 18 because he didn't score touchdowns and
69:13even on bad teams, sometimes touchdowns just come to you and suddenly you're great again.
69:18So, like, on a terrible team, he did whatever I said, 14 under scrimmage yards.
69:23Not what you want, not perfect, but certainly by today's standards, good enough.
69:27Everything's a split backfield, you know, like, good enough.
69:30Problem is the touchdowns. Yes, bad teams score fewer touchdowns.
69:33That gives you a narrower path, but bad teams do score touchdowns and a lot of times they're your best player who
69:40score them and so, like, we could just get the random 10 touchdown season out of Brees Hall and all of our worries are solved.
69:48No question. It's, it's, it's, the reason, I just feel so made crazy by it.
69:53I'm made so insane by it that I, that I felt like I needed to repeat to just emphasize how, how betwixt and between I am on him.
70:02You know, I look back at that 23 season where he had those 76 catches and I'm just like, I think he's,
70:09like, again, you're wish casting some of this stuff, but I look at this and I go, you know, Gino Smith is
70:16a lot different than a guy like Justin Fields and I'd like to think that those receptions go way back up from that 36 he had last year.
70:25Um, I feel like, it's like the safest thing you can do.
70:29Just do that. You know, especially if you're trailing, like, just do it.
70:33The, yeah, sorry to interrupt. Go ahead. No, that's what I was going to say and I think if he gets back
70:40to kind of like, he doesn't need to get to 76, but if he's going to get, you know, 80 targets this
70:47year and catch 55, 60 balls, I think he's easily returning that value.
70:51So it's like, you don't need much more than what he did last year.
70:55It's just, it seems so simple where you could just dump off some of these passes, especially if you're playing catch up
71:03in some of these games and it just, I don't know.
71:06It doesn't seem like a big ass for me, Chris, for, for, for Brees hole and a run for a thousand catch for 400 and score 10 TVs.
71:15Like, it just seems like that should have two years ago.
71:18We would have been like, yeah, that seems like his floor.
71:22Yeah. A talented guy that I think if we were lining up players you would want for one season for any, for
71:29your NFL team, I don't see any way both of us wouldn't put Brees hole in our top six or seven.
71:36Like, yes, correct? Yeah. As a running back, I mean, I love, I have to see the list in front of me.
71:43He's a really good player, but yeah, he's, he's a really good player.
71:47Maybe. I don't think 10, I think higher. I mean, he's going to be in the top 10, but like, yeah, I think I want him over Gentie.
71:56I think I want him over James Cook. I think I want him over, you know, not, not in fantasy, not right
72:03now, but in terms of ability, you know, sweet, sweet, um, put James Cook on the jets and put, and I'm pretty solid in the bills.
72:11Yeah. Yep. Who's, who's, who's going higher in fantasy?
72:14Oh, I mean, it's no question. So, but which isn't really useful for our audience to make draft decisions on, but our
72:21point, this is what makes me, uh, you know, struggle with him because he is, I think he is really, really good.
72:28All right. Well, the fun list, I of course put them in all the names in today's show notes.
72:34If you'd like to review, uh, you can follow Josh on Instagram, not a lot of posting now, but we have to
72:41hold him to some vacation posting at detective fish, F I S C H.
72:46Also hit him up, hit me up at Hey, Harris at Harris football.com and tell us what, you know, medium to low
72:53ask for the busy cousin, Josh would be good for bribery.
72:56How do you want to be bribed? Uh, you you're, you're down next week.
73:01Maybe we'll announce a bribe. 100% man. Great to be back.
73:04And thank you so much for listening. Can't wait to find out how Josh is going to bribe the audience.
73:11Glad to have a couple of winners, many, many more to follow.
73:14Let me thank today's sponsors that made the show possible.
73:18We had rocket money and AG one. You've heard me talk about those before.
73:22Also had dose. If you're interested in potentially aiding in your cholesterol levels, dose is delicious.
73:27Give it a shot. You can find information about those sponsors in today's show notes.
73:32And all the current sponsors are listed at Harris football.com.
73:35That's going to do it for this first full week back.
73:39It was a blast. It feels like it's taken a hundred years.
73:42Not that I haven't loved it, but just the publishing side of things is kind of killing me.
73:48Uh, yeah, being a publisher is hard cumulative press managed by morons, but by golly, somehow we're going to get on that bestseller list.
73:56So give it a look at Harris football.com. Of course, you can also give the almanac a list as well.
74:02A little more on topic, although pound foolish, also on topic about football, just, you know, fiction, uh, kind of sometimes anyway,
74:09uh, that's going to do it for this week.
74:12Coming up on Monday, we're going to do film room zeros.
