Player insights

40

A.J. Brown

NegativeProjection46:06

Harris assigns Brown a risk factor of 6 but remains a fan, having bet on him for most receiving touchdowns at 24-to-1. Harris believes Brown is getting the best quarterback of his career and still has at least one elite season left, dismissing concerns about advanced metrics in favor of the 'change of scenery' narrative.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

NegativeValue25:29

Amon-Ra St. Brown is labeled the safest pick in the draft. Having finished as a top-three wide receiver for three consecutive years, he carries a very low risk factor of 1-2.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

NegativeUsage30:40

Ashton Jeanty has a phenomenal workload and no threat to his primacy in the offense. Jonathan Brooks assigns him a risk factor of 4, noting that the addition of Tyler Linderbaum to the offensive line is a positive factor.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeProjection25:32

Robinson is a low-risk player (rated 2-3) despite concerns about the Falcons' quarterback situation. He is viewed as a high-end RB1 who is at the peak of his career and carries no injury risk.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeValue59:38

Harris calls Hall his 'favorite ADP' and a 'dream' pick, despite assigning him a 7 on the risk scale. He compares Hall to De'Von Achane as a back who can catch passes, though he acknowledges the risk that the Jets' offense could be 'unwatchable' and lead to poor usage.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeValue43:48

Harris and Josh agree that Bowers is a 'clear' avoid at his mid-to-late second-round ADP. Harris notes that while he lowered his risk factor from an 8 to a 6, the primary concern is the 'risky build' of drafting a tight end that early, which forces the drafter to play catch-up at running back or receiver.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeValue26:11

CeeDee Lamb is considered a risky pick at his current ADP of 10. Jonathan Brooks notes that outside of one incredible season, his career has been marred by injuries and inconsistency, leading to a risk factor of 5-6. He is viewed as a rough pick in the 10-14 range.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeValue31:20

Chase Brown is considered overvalued at his current ADP of 14. Jonathan Brooks is priced out of the market, suggesting that several wide receivers should be drafted ahead of him, and assigns him a risk factor of 3-4.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeInjury56:24

Harris assigns Olave a risk factor of 4, noting that the primary concern is his concussion history. He considers Olave an 'exceptional player' when on the field and suggests he is a viable third-round pick if the drafter knows what they are doing.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeUsage20:34

Christian McCaffrey is a high-risk, high-reward asset due to his extreme usage, including playing 100% of snaps in some games. While he has a history of lower-extremity injuries that can sideline him for 6-8 weeks, his upside is so significant that he remains a top-5 overall pick. He is coming off a healthy season following plasma treatment, and Jonathan Brooks would consider him a top-3 pick in PPR formats if guaranteed 14 games.

Insight page
NegativeBust32:15

McCaffrey is viewed as extremely high-risk (rated 9-10), compared to jumping out of a plane without a parachute. While his usage and production are elite, his history of missing significant time (6-8 games) with lower-extremity injuries makes him a volatile asset.

Insight page
PositiveValue64:02

The speaker views Christian McCaffrey as a high-floor, reliable first-round pick, suggesting he is a player you know exactly what you are going to get from, making him a stable anchor for a fantasy roster.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeInjury2:23

Hubbard has been downgraded in rankings due to a week-to-week hamstring injury. While he was not a 'flag player' this year, the multi-week injury in training camp increases the risk of re-injury, necessitating a lower rank regardless of personal predisposition toward the player.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeUsage35:40

Devon Achane carries a high risk factor of 7. While his talent is undeniable, concerns exist regarding his durability under a heavy workload, the team's overall offensive performance, and the potential for him to be sidelined if the team falls out of contention.

Insight page
NegativeProjection66:53

The speaker expresses concern regarding De'Von Achane based on reports from Commanders beat reporters about the Dolphins' offense; if negative reports persist after another joint practice, the speaker may lower Achane's draft ranking.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

NegativeValue39:29

Derrick Henry is viewed as a low-risk asset (risk factor 2-3) despite his age. Jonathan Brooks notes that he has not yet shown signs of decline and prefers him over younger, riskier options like Omari Hampton.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

NegativeProjection54:17

Harris assigns Smith a risk factor of 3, viewing him as the clear number one wide receiver for the Eagles. He notes that Smith's minor injury is a positive for his draft value and reminds listeners that Smith is a Heisman winner who is often undervalued.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeProjection40:19

Drake London carries a risk factor of 5 due to quarterback uncertainty and week-to-week variability. While he is a talented wide receiver one, his production is often tied to contested catches, leading to 'down weeks' that make him a volatile fantasy asset.

Insight page

George Pickens

NegativeBust49:00

Harris assigns Pickens an 8 on the risk scale, calling him a 'knucklehead' who can 'go off the reservation.' Harris also expresses skepticism about drafting two receivers from the same team, noting that it rarely works, and mentions instances where Pickens appeared to quit on plays.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeValue27:06

Chase is assigned a risk factor of 2, primarily due to uncertainty surrounding Joe Burrow's health. Despite missing time last year, he remained highly productive, though he is not currently a target for the analysts in the top three picks.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

NegativeValue23:58

Gibbs is considered a low-risk asset (rated 1-2 on a 10-point scale) due to his consecutive years as a top-four running back and his role in a high-powered Lions offense, even with David Montgomery present.

Insight page

James Cook

NegativeUsage25:50

James Cook is viewed as having a risk factor of 3. Despite his small frame and the way he runs, he has not yet manifested any scary outcomes or injury issues, keeping him as a relatively safe pick.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

NegativeProjection62:00

Harris assigns Williams a risk factor of 4, noting that he does not view him as an 'amazing player' and acknowledging his injury history, but finds him acceptable at his current draft position.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

NegativeValue23:56

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is viewed as a low-risk player with absurd efficiency metrics. Despite concerns about the quarterback situation, Jonathan Brooks is comfortable drafting him in the early rounds, noting that his production floor remains high even if he doesn't reach 1,500 yards.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeValue51:44

Harris and Josh strongly advise against drafting rookie running backs in the first three rounds, with Harris assigning Love a 7 on the risk scale. Harris notes that while this year's rookie class is more 'palatable' than last year's, he is not doing it.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeInjury24:20

Jonathan Taylor is considered a 'feast or famine' health risk. Despite a strong performance last year and a new contract, Jonathan Brooks assigns him a risk factor of 4-5, citing concerns about the Colts' overall team environment and his history of workload-related injuries.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeProjection3:24

Brooks is currently ranked RB33, just behind Chuba Hubbard at RB32. While there is historical concern regarding running backs recovering from two ACL tears, the market is expected to push Brooks ahead of Hubbard due to his status as an unknown rookie-contract player.

Insight page

Josh Allen

NegativeValue45:52

Harris and Josh both express hesitation regarding Allen's ADP, with Harris assigning a risk factor of 3 and Josh a 2. While they acknowledge he is not 'risky' in terms of talent, they do not love the strategy of taking a quarterback at that draft spot.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeInjury58:26

Harris assigns Jacobs a risk factor of 8, citing his groin injury, history of being overworked, and potential for suspension. Harris notes he is likely 'out' on Jacobs at his current ADP due to the injury timeline.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeInjury29:25

Justin Jefferson is viewed as a high-risk asset (risk factor 5-6) primarily due to last year's injury and uncertainty surrounding the quarterback situation. While he is an extreme talent, Jonathan Brooks is concerned about his ability to maintain high production without a proven quarterback.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeInjury33:01

Kenneth Walker is assigned a risk factor of 6 due to a consistent history of injuries and concerns about the team's offensive efficiency. While he is a talented player, Jonathan Brooks warns that his ADP assumes many positive variables that have not yet materialized.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeUsage53:04

Harris assigns Williams a risk factor of 3, noting that while Blake Corum's involvement adds slight risk, Williams has a 'nose for the end zone' and plays on an 'absurd team.' Josh calls him a 'slam dunk' flag player.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury54:57

Harris assigns Nabers a 10 on the risk scale, labeling him 'King risk.' While acknowledging his 'amazing talent,' Harris refuses to draft him until he sees him play for a period without injury, citing concerns that his knee could swell up by week three.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeBust47:54

Harris and Josh both assign Collins a risk factor of 4-5, citing his history of concussions and lower hamstring injuries. Harris notes that while Collins is an 'absolute animal' and a 'freak monster,' he is inherently frustrating week-to-week, often alternating between massive games and near-zero production.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeBust28:39

Nacua carries a higher risk factor (rated 5) due to potential suspension concerns and a history of being frequently injured during games. While his talent is elite, the combination of looming off-field issues and physical durability concerns makes him a risky first-round selection.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeBust57:08

Harris and Josh both assign Rice an 8 on the risk scale. Harris highlights that Rice has never broken 600 yards in a season, has off-field legal concerns, and is essentially a 'slant screen, check down merchant' who has yet to prove he can sustain production for a full 17-game season.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeProjection28:00

Saquon Barkley carries a risk factor of 4-5 as he approaches age 30. Concerns include a rebuilt offense, the loss of key blockers, and a reliance on explosive runs that may not be sustainable. Despite these risks, he is considered a viable end-of-first-round pick.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeInjury59:11

Harris assigns Higgins a risk factor of 4, noting that while there is 'Burrow risk,' the primary concern is that Higgins 'gets hurt a lot' and misses games every season.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeValue51:20

Harris assigns McBride a risk factor of 6, primarily because he does not like the quarterback situation. He reiterates that while he loves the player, he dislikes the strategy of drafting a tight end in that range.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeValue62:22

Harris assigns Flowers a risk factor of 3, calling him good value. He views Flowers as a safe, low-risk player who is an ideal pairing for a team that already drafted a high-end asset like Christian McCaffrey.

0:00It's the Harris Fantasy Football Podcast with your host, Christopher Harris.
0:03Everybody welcome in. My name is Chris. This is a show about all things literary, really.
0:08Hello there, everybody. Let me thank you so much for continuing to make this podcast so incredibly fun for me to make.
0:15I hope you have fun listening to it, even if it's just to forget about real stuff for an hour.
0:21It is truly my honor to get to talk to you each day.
0:25Let's start. With Eric Grote from Westchester, Pennsylvania. Hey, Harris, congrats on the book.
0:29Hope everything launches smoothly. Hey, I know you watch all the preseason games.
0:33That one dude who wrote you to put his cousin in the almanac, didn't that dude's cousin score a touchdown for the Steelers last night?
0:41Is that dude's cousin the Tunyon of the Steelers, even though there is already the original Tunyon on the Steelers?
0:47Indeed, Eric. I got a lot of emails and tweets about the actual Robert Tunyon, who played in one of the exhibition games on Thursday night.
0:55Please don't call them preseason. Please call them exhibition, because that's what they are.
0:59That's what they used to call them until Roger Goodell decided that sounded bad and people wouldn't pay for it.
1:05But anyway, yes, indeed. The true story, as Eric points out, which I didn't know until Eric pointed it out.
1:11I hope I have this right. Riley Nowakowski, who was too late for me to write him an almanac profile, because I
1:18didn't see that email until, you know, like a week and a half ago.
1:22But at least we get to mention him again on the show.
1:26The real Tunyon. Not the actual Tunyon. The real Tunyon.
1:29From last night, I was not watching. But the internet does tell me this morning that Riley Nowakowski scored a touchdown, which is awesome.
1:36Congrats to him. And there you have it. The last bit of exhibition football you'll hear me talk about, because it is worthless.
1:43My recommendation is completely ignore it. Instead, let's talk Panthers backfield, because Chuba himself, Chuba Hubbard, was declared yesterday to be week-to-week with a hamstring injury.
1:51And that is enough for me. I did lower him.
1:54He was a flag player last year. He was not on his way to being a flag player this year anyway.
2:00But this news, certainly, you have to lower him in the ranks.
2:04This, Hubbard was in the Almanac's first edition. He was RB25 and Jonathan Brooks was RB48.
2:09And I understand Andy Behrens' point with Jonathan Brooks that nobody really ever has recovered from tearing an ACL twice to become a good running back.
2:17But this injury means for me they have to get closer in the ranks.
2:21Right now, I have them back-to-back. I have Hubbard 32 and Brooks 33.
2:25Now, because I know how the world works, I'm 100% positive Jonathan Brooks is destined to go higher now than Hubbard in drafts going forward.
2:33Which might even be the right answer, but nobody knows for sure.
2:36They just like the idea that it's an unknown rookie.
2:39Or not a rookie, like a third year, but he's never played before, running back.
2:44Sometimes the market just decides not to take an injury seriously.
2:47Oh, you kidding? Luther Burden? Come on, he's going to be fine.
2:51Don't lower him at all. And then other times like this, I'm sure it will decide that Chuba Hubbard is doomed.
2:57And I'm going to be consistent, just as I said with Burden.
3:01When you get a multi-week injury in training camp, no matter who the player is, whether you're predisposed to like him, like
3:08people are predisposed to like Burden, or predisposed not to like him, like people are predisposed not to like Chuba Hubbard, you
3:14have to admit that the range of outcomes gets scarier.
3:17You have to acknowledge there's now an X percent chance that Hubbard re-injures himself right away as soon as he starts trying
3:24to run again, even if he's ready for week one.
3:27So I'm being consistent here, and just like Burden's rank went down, Hubbard's rank goes down.
3:32The other hamstring to be freshly concerned about is Jordan Tysons, the rookie running back from the Saints.
3:37A day after I did a mock draft with Jake Trowbridge on our YouTube channel, which was delightful and fun.
3:44And if you're looking for some entertainment and get a mock draft under your belt, you can check it out, youtube.com slash Harris football.
3:51In that mock draft, Jake took Jordan Tyson, and we both said, you know, we don't really know what he is, but
3:57so far it's a great sign that his health seems to have been pretty good in training camp after all those problems in the pre-draft process.
4:05Boom. Jordan Tyson shows up with an injured hamstring in Saints practice on Thursday.
4:10He left practice. So far, I don't know anything about anything.
4:13We'll see what the team says. In fact, they said, like, this is not a significant injury.
4:18They have not said he's missing multiple weeks. Let's put it that way.
4:22But it is a continuation of the hamstring injuries that caused him not to run throughout the draft process, which isn't good.
4:29I'm going to wait a day or two just to see what gets said about it and how long he'll be out.
4:35But I think we're probably heading toward lowering Jordan Tyson some in the ranks as well.
4:40And just in case today is the first day that you're rejoining the little podcast that could to start getting ready for
4:47your fantasy draft, I will catch you up to speed on the stuff.
4:51There is an almanac this summer, as was implied earlier in this introductory segment.
4:55It came out a week ago Monday. I think people are enjoying giving it a read, I hope.
5:01I've heard from a lot of you. I love hearing from you if something makes you laugh, because that's what I'm trying
5:07to do with the almanac is make you laugh.
5:10The almanac will get an update on September 4th to catch up with the stuff that we learn throughout August.
5:16We've learned some so far. Everyone who purchases the almanac also gets an update for free.
5:21And the other thing that's going on, I have a new novel coming out, and that's what Eric was referring to in his email above.
5:29I have been bribing the living heck out of the audience.
5:32I have Zoom sessions coming up with drawing winners, bribery winners.
5:35Those are going to be both today, Friday, and Saturday.
5:38Also, later in the show, I will announce the latest winner, who will get to do a mock draft with me and
5:45Cousin Josh on my YouTube channel next week. To be entered into these many drawings, I'm doing at least one every single day.
5:52All you have to do is pre-order my novel, Pound Foolish, and send me a screenshot of the receipt at heyharris at harrisfootball.com.
5:59And actually, just don't worry about it. Just go to harrisfootball.com.
6:02All the details for the almanac and the book are all there.
6:06If you currently find yourself with a budget that doesn't let you get a book, let me know.
6:12Heyharris at harrisfootball.com will take care of you. This is a purely independently released book.
6:16For the first time, I am my own publisher.
6:19So if you'd like to support independent media, if you'd like to support this insane venture, and hopefully support a pretty good book, have a look.
6:27harrisfootball.com. Today's kickoff. Okay, on today's show, it's Cousin Josh.
6:30It's a list he sometimes understands how to do.
6:33Let's see how it goes today. This is my first foray into ADP for 2026.
6:37I've only looked at the first three rounds of ADP, and Josh and I are going to go through each person in
6:44the first three rounds and discuss the risk factor for each player.
6:47We'll assign a score, 1 through 10, about how risky we think the player is.
6:52Doesn't mean we won't take them. We just acknowledge that, ooh, this guy has a scary range of possible outcomes, or this guy feels safer.
7:00I think you'll have fun, and I thank you again so much for listening today.
7:04We are sponsored by Trust & Will. I have found peace of mind having used Trust & Will to create an estate plan.
7:11I don't have kids, but I have plenty of family, and knowing that I don't have to think about an estate plan any longer is fantastic.

7:56Trustandwill.com slash Harris. Today's guest. Don't mess around with some $10 gear.
8:00He needs high quality in a trunk. It's the eye of the swimsuit.
8:04It's the thrill of the fight. Rising up to the midpoint of our station.
8:08But don't you be surprised when he moth his wife.
8:11Tiny swim trunks. You ask Josh what theme song he wants.
8:14If you leave it up to him, he's probably going to pick the one about tiny swim trunks from my friend Josh Van Blank.
8:22And it is Cousin Josh joining us on a Friday as he normally does.
8:26You can find him on Instagram at Detective Fish, F-I-S-C-H.
8:29Josh, have you been impressed with how active I've been on Instagram lately?
8:33You have. I've been very impressed. I'm more of a story guy versus a post.
8:38But yeah, I saw you did the book unveil the other day.
8:41You've been very active. The unboxing. I was like, what's the word he used?
8:45But yeah, man, you're doing well on your social media stuff, dude.
8:49Well, thanks. I don't think I have that much more Instagram left in me.
8:53I have to admit, though, I should just throw this out there.
8:57Because last year, a friend of the show, They Might Be Giants drummer Marty Beller, who I've known for a very long
9:04time, a good friend, his son was my Instagram intern.
9:07I don't think I even told you that, did I?
9:10I don't know. I've never heard this before. Yeah.
9:13So his son Noah did an awesome job. And I will say, if there are high school students listening and you're on
9:19Insta a lot and you have ideas, if there are even college students, I mean, it seems like more a high school thing.
9:26He did it. I wrote him a college recommendation letter.
9:29So hit me up. HeyHarris at HarrisFootball.com because I really don't have time for that much Instagram throughout the season.
9:35But Noah did a great job last year. So if anybody wants to volunteer, please do.
9:40And I mean, the big news really is that we finally got you for a mock draft.
9:45Yeah, Monday. Well, I think the people will see it maybe on Tuesday.
9:49You and I are going to record it on Monday with a big contest winner.
9:54So last week we were polling the people. We were asking people, what would you like Josh's prize to be?
10:00And eventually it came around to some, I honestly don't remember who, somebody said, how about a mock draft with the two of you?
10:07And I was like, all right, if Josh will do it because he's never done a mock draft on the YouTube channel before, by golly, you agreed.
10:15So that's your contribution to the publishing empire that is creating Pound Foolish.
10:19And I am very grateful. Look, it's my pleasure.
10:22I'll go into wardrobe a little bit earlier that night, put on a nice outfit, get my makeup done, and we'll be good to go.
10:30Completely fine. I'm pumped. I think it's going to be fun.
10:33And by the end of this segment, we will announce which listener will be joining us.
10:38But for now, we're going to do something that actually you missed out on last year.
10:43You were away on vacation. Your vacation came earlier last year.
10:46So you missed out on the Risk Factor show.
10:49But I remember you liking it a lot. And I remember how many times over the past few years how people have
10:56said they really like this episode because maybe it's not the most in-depth thing on each player.
11:01But what we're going to do is go through current ADP.
11:04And that in and of itself is impossible because there is no one ADP.
11:08But we picked one. We're going to go through the first three rounds.
11:12This is my first exposure to the first three rounds of ADP.
11:16And I haven't looked beyond at all. And we're not really going to talk some...
11:21We can talk as much as you want about how outrageous it is that a player is going somewhere or not going somewhere.
11:28But the real point is for each of these 36 players, we're going to rank them 1 through 10.
11:33We're going to give them a risk factor, a risk coefficient or whatever, which means 1, we find them the least risky.
11:4010, we find them the most risky. Clearly, if we find them very, very risky, there's a chance we don't necessarily agree with the ADP as presented currently.
11:49But that's part of the conversation. It's fine. We're going to go quick on some players and not spend 10 minutes on everybody, obviously.
11:56We don't have that kind of time. But I think people like to hear just...
12:00The reason we do this is because it becomes about roster construction.
12:04It becomes about, do I really want to be taking a bunch of 8s on this scale?
12:09Or do I maybe want to... If I take the 8 in the first round, do I need to...
12:15If I have a tie between players and one guy seems way less risky to those guys, that's kind of the theory behind it.
12:22A nice, a little table center for next week where I start looking at all of ADP.
12:27Yeah, I think it's a good way to look at ADP and roster building because I think that's part of it.
12:34I don't think you could just look at every single player in a vacuum and say, hey, what do you rate this guy?
12:41Like, you have to look at it based on ADP.
12:44It's funny. As we got to... In the first half, I don't have as many high marks.
12:49I have a great analogy coming up early on.
12:52You probably know the player. We could probably have called it the blank, I won't say it yet, memorialist.
12:58And we'll get to him. But I love this because you know how much anxiety it gives me.
13:03And I will typically say to people, in the first two rounds, I am typically looking for people with those risk factors of ones and twos.
13:11Ones and twos, yeah. Look, I'm fine not having like the RB1 or the 2.
13:15Give me the RB5 or 6. I'll win my draft in rounds 3, 4, 5, 6.
13:20I just don't want the whammy where I go, come on, man.
13:24Like, my season's done. It's two weeks. I'm watching.
13:27Like, I just... I have a very low tolerance for that type of pain.
13:31All right. So we'll see how much we need to spend with each guy.
13:35There'll be somewhere... We'll give longer explanations and somewhere we become sort of self-evident.
13:40Again, Ose, this ADP that we decided to use was the half PPR live ADP on Fantasy Pros.
13:45Yeah. Correct? Yeah. Yeah. I think it's pretty... Good.
13:48Yeah. And I looked at it as of this morning and this is the first ADP I've looked at and I'm like, sure, okay.
13:55I mean, I don't really know how live it actually is, but at least it's not experts' consensus...
14:00You know, it's not a consensus rank. It is actually based on something where people are doing drafts.
14:06And it's funny, on Wednesday on the Yacht Club, Andy said something very interesting about how he was looking at...
14:12On Matthew Stafford, he was looking at expert consensus rank and it was 15 and my jaw hit the desk.
14:18Like, what? And then he said, but if you look at ADPs, the live ADPs, it's higher than that, which means like
14:25the actual drafting public is kind of pushing back against that low rank, which good for them because they should.
14:31It's deranged. So anyway, we're going to do... We're doing it based on ADP, the live button for half PPR on Fantasy Pros.
14:38So number one on that list is Jameer Gibbs.
14:41There's no David Montgomery. I don't find him particularly risky.
14:44I just, you know, there's like the Lions weren't great last year, so I won't say they're like an absolute guaranteed wagon.
14:50So I gave him a two. I gave it a one.
14:54Again, one or two, completely fine. We haven't seen him without Montgomery there, but like you said, I'm more on the Lions
15:00are probably a wagon, but it's just consecutive years as a top four running back and he's in the prime of his career.
15:07This is just... I mean, he and the next guy are the number one, number two pick, I think, in every single draft, no matter the format.
15:16Let me say that's not true though, I think.
15:18I mean, not Superflex. Superflex Josh Allen absolutely can go one.
15:22And then there are, believe me that there are people who do what we're doing right now who say a receiver should go one.
15:29Believe me when I tell you that. There are such people.
15:32We don't agree, but there are such people. So it's funny because Bajon Robinson, I guess my tiebreaker is that I made
15:39him a three instead of a two just because the quarterback is grosser.
15:43Yeah, I put him a two, but it's really low risk, Chris.
15:47I mean, even in the quarterback situation wasn't great last year, he still found a way to be what?
15:52RB3. Just a phenomenal player. Peak of his career.
15:55No risk from an injury. And I just think even if that quarterback situation is bad, which I think it will be,
16:02he's probably going to find a way to be a high-end RB1.
16:05But I'm fine with a two. You gave it a three.
16:09Of course. I mean, I think the point is maybe the reason we have Gibbs one and Bajon two is that we
16:15both thought we would give one extra point to Bajon.
16:19Yeah, that's it. Yeah. Yeah. But they're still low.
16:21Still very low. All right. Number three in the ADP, not what you and I would do.
16:26Jamar Chase. We would keep taking running backs if we were picking three, no matter the, as long as it's not super flex.
16:33You know, Jamar Chase was the ADP number one at this time last year.
16:38So let that tell you that believe me, there are people out there who will tell you to take Jamar Chase number one.
16:45Last year, I gave him a one in risk factor.
16:48This year, I'll give him a two and it's really not about him.
16:52It's that Joe Burrow thing hanging out. Yeah. So I gave him a two.
16:56I gave him a two also. You know, even with missed time last year, he somehow found a way to get the,
17:03or I should say, Burrow missing time up to 1,400, eight TDs.
17:06Just an unbelievable player. I probably, again, wouldn't take him until the middle of the first, but yeah.
17:12Right. So this is where the risk factors start to get interesting and I don't even have Puka Nakua as my wide receiver two.
17:19He's my wide receiver three. And the reason is because the risk factor is higher.
17:24So Adam Schefter has said that, like, it's very clear Schefter doesn't do this unless he's been told something.
17:29So he's been told something is brewing and I think it's probably more likely a suspension for Jacobs than it is for Puka Nakua.
17:37Nakua's alleged offenses that we know of feel minuscule by comparison to what we know with Josh Jacobs.
17:42And yet, there's also just the idea that he's the new godfather of Troll and he's constantly down, injured and yes, he
17:49usually gets up and is okay, but you know, there are times when he's not and two years ago he missed a lot of time.
17:56So I'm interested in what you gave him because I don't think there's any chance you would take Puka anywhere in the first round.
18:04I gave him a risk factor of five. I have a five.
18:07So I would consider him when you're in that double up.
18:11That's the first probably the area that I would consider him.
18:14Again, for exactly what you said, I said that to one of my buddies, Adam.
18:19I said, you know, Schefter doesn't come on and do these conversations unless it's kind of been probably leaked to him in
18:25some way and he's like, yeah, don't be, it's like, it's in play.
18:29He might not travel with the team to Australia I'm not as concerned so much with suspension.
18:34Maybe he gets a game, Chris. I don't know.
18:37It's just more of the way he plays is so, like, it's incredible to watch.
18:42But I mean, how many times do we text each other or do you text your buddy like, dude, you see that?
18:48Now he's down. He's KO. But like, from an ability perspective, just, just absolutely absurd.
18:53I mean, there's nothing he doesn't do on the field.
18:56He's got, you know, the MVP at quarterback, but he can leave at any time.
19:01We have suspensions looming. I do like he's in a contract year, but for me, it's a five because to pick him
19:07at four, I think is just a ton when there's that many guys on the board.
19:12That's just not the way I would play. I'd probably pick him in the back of the first round, probably in that 12 to 13.
19:20Right. And I'll take him earlier, but I'm not taking him at four.
19:24In a standard, he's eight for me and a PPR is six for me because there's another receiver I'm going to pick in front of him, obviously.
19:32Okay. Number five is the guy who you would have named this list for, the ADP on Christian McCaffrey, who oozes risk.
19:39There's no question about it, but the reward is awfully good and is up to the end.
19:44You know, if you're taking McCaffrey in the first round and you're taking on and it's definitely, it's where you should go.
19:50If you're taking him on, there, you should be looking at our lists in the show notes and looking for all the
19:57ones and twos that you can find or threes and fours anyway, later in drafts, because this is going to be a nail biter.
20:04I won't even say my number. What number did you give him?
20:08You know, I wavered on a nine and a 10 and I wrote down, I wrote down point break reference.
20:14Chris, you've seen point break, you know, the scene where Keanu jumps out of the plane with no parachute.
20:20Yeah. I mean, this is the ultimate rush, bro.
20:23Like this is rough. This is out the plane, no parachute.
20:26Like it's absurd. Like you're Robin Banks with presidential masks.
20:29Like when he's playing, right? You're talking about either RB one, RB two, RB three.
20:34There's no way around it. And it's amazing, right?
20:36Just the target share, the way he's used. It's like, I mean, how many games we go?
20:42Wow. He played a hundred percent of the snaps.
20:44Like, did they really need to do that? And he's got an incredible offensive mind there, but you know what happens?
20:51At some point he goes down and it happens every other season.
20:54And it's not like he's out a week when he goes down with these lower extremity injuries.
21:00It's six games. It's eight games. If you told me he was going to play 14, Chris, I'd pick them three.
21:06I wouldn't even hesitate. I probably even pick them.
21:09I'd almost consider him probably two. If you told me 14, but it's the ultimate rush, man.
21:14I mean, it's McCaffrey number five. I gave him a nine.
21:17I gave him a nine. I gave him an eight.
21:20And yet I'm just not as risk adverse as you.
21:23And at four, I would take McCaffrey at three and a PPR.
21:27I would take McCaffrey, but I would, I would know what I was doing.
21:31I would have to keep my eyes open and I'd have to be filing in some less risky players as I go,
21:38unless you want to go in all risk build, which I understand, you know, you can also do that.
21:44It just, you know, you get two guys who crash and burn.
21:47What would, what would, what would cousin Josh do with an all risk, all risk build?
21:52I mean, dude, we mentioned stress farts a week ago.
21:55I don't even think that would do it for me.
21:58I mean, just some of these nights where if a guy got hurt on a Monday night football game and those games
22:05and ET Chris at 1240, I mean, you think I'm going to sleep all those nights?
22:10Calling out of work. It's like, what happened? It's like, dude, man, did you see McCaffrey last night?
22:15They don't know what, they have no idea what the timetable is trying to find out the MRIs are.
22:21Dude, I'm not sleeping well. Chris, I still have him ranked five overall.
22:25Like, I think I would take the plunge just because look, since he's done all that plasma a year and a half
22:32or two years ago, he's coming off, uh, you know, a healthy season.
22:36Again, that doesn't mean that he's going to be healthy this year, but I think I would probably take the plunge in the middle of the first.
22:44And just the upside is so great with him, I think.
22:47Hey, let's thank Viore for making our show possible.
22:50Viore makes the best clothes on the planet and the best clothes for the planet.
22:54If you've heard me talking about Viore and have never tried their clothes, just get one pair of joggers.
23:00I'm wearing the core joggers, K-O-R-E, the core joggers right now.
23:04My go-to for lazing around, go-to for softball. I wear so much Viore to the gym every day, just hanging around on a Sunday morning.
23:11The most comfortable clothing, like shirts and pants and everything else.
23:15I have so much Viore clothing. I could not recommend it more highly for comfort and performance.
23:20Just get one item. You'll understand what I mean.
23:22The company is great. American made. They use recycled materials.
23:25They're environmentally sensitive. You know what? One pair of joggers for the wife.
23:29It's a great gift. And your whole family will be hooked on Viore.
23:33Check them out. V-U-O-R-I dot com slash Harris. If you add the slash Harris, you'll get 20% off your first order.
23:4020% off, you'll never regret this choice. These clothes are amazing.
23:43Viore dot com slash Harris. We are back with Josh.
23:46We are doing the risk factors. We got through five guys.
23:49We have 31 more guys to go. We'll go a little faster.
23:53On some of them. The six PPR, the six half PPR ADP is Jackson, Smith and Jigba.
23:58I gave him a two. I don't find him that risky.
24:02Yeah. No, minimal risk. I did write down though, like the percentage and the efficiency results were absurd.
24:07I mean, like 44% of it, but like, you know what?
24:10What does he drop to 1500 yards? Or it's just, I'm completely fine with him anywhere in the bursts.
24:16To me, the risk is Darnold and it worked last year.
24:20So I'm okay. Number seven on this list is Jonathan Taylor.
24:23And I mean, he's a, he's a feast or famine health dude.
24:27And last year he obviously was feast or I can't remember.
24:30I don't know whether it would be feast or famine.
24:33Do you have a famine for injuries? He was very good last year.
24:37Um, and he just got a new contract. What's your number on him?
24:41I bumped it to four and this is coming from a guy who had him last year and won with him.
24:47But like, I have written down Colts, bad vibes.
24:50Like, you know, after, after Jones left and like the way that he was like a low end too.
24:56And I know it's a small sample size, but like you said before last year, it was like 11 games, 10 games, 14 games, that workload.
25:04So I still think there's that risk there. Um, it gives me kind of 2025 Saquon vibes.
25:09Like from last year. He's a five for me, Taylor.
25:12I have a five. So that's the first one that I'm higher than you on.
25:16Oh no, that's not true. Uh, both Gibson Bajon.
25:19That's totally incorrect. But, uh, once we're getting to the risky guys, he he's risky, he's risky for injury.
25:25He's not risky for anything around him, but he's definitely risky for injury.
25:29I'm going to run St. Brown. By the way, these are all in the show notes.
25:34So you don't need to be crashing your car, writing them all down.
25:38I, I put it, I'm putting our risk factors next to each player.
25:42Uh, ARSB. I have missed a two. I have missed one.
25:45I wrote wide receiver three, three straight years. Safest pick you can make if you're stuck.
25:50I just, all right. Number nine, James Cook. He should be riskier than he is the way he runs in as small as he is.
25:58Um, but I just can't get higher than a three because it really hasn't manifested in anything scary yet.
26:03I got a three, two. Oh, I got no notes from what you just said.
26:08Yeah. Uh, all right. Good one here. Number 10.
26:11Does it surprise me that CD lamb is the, is the ADP number 10?
26:15Uh, yeah, I think a little, um, I don't think I would do it, but I, like, I understand.
26:21I understand where people are coming from, but the risk CD lambs had one incredible year and otherwise it's been nothing.
26:27But I think I said in the almanac, it's always something with this guy.
26:31It's an injury. And last year, the injury was stupid.
26:34It was a running play. You know, it's him dropping because he's distracted.
26:38It's him jockeying, you know, barfing in a bucket with George Pickens.
26:42Like I put, I gave him a six. I almost wish I'd gone higher.
26:46I gave him a five and it's because of the ADP.
26:50Like, you know, am I betting he's going to be a wide receiver one this year?
26:54Yeah. But when I look where some of the guys we're going to talk about later are like 10 to 12 picks
27:01later, nine picks, like I don't love it. It feels a little bit capped.
27:05I wrote the same thing you did other than that absurd season.
27:09And he had two years ago. And then he was going as like the two pick, like kind of hasn't been there.
27:16And it just doesn't seem like he's going to put together when he's massive TD.
27:20So I'm with you. I think it's a five.
27:23I think it's one of the rougher picks to pick in kind of that 10 to 14 range.
27:28I like him more towards the end of the two.
27:31Yeah, I don't have him. I mean, in a full PPR, he belongs close to the end of the first round, beginning of the second round.
27:39So I'm not too mad at this, but just a little higher than I would take him.
27:45I'm trying not to have my risk factor be related to the ADP.
27:49I'm just trying to have like how risky is the guy.
27:52And then sure, maybe that's part of why his ADP should be lower, but whatever.
27:56We'll, we all have our own methodologies. Number 11 is Saquon.
28:00And I mean, he's edging toward 30 and it's a rebuilt offense and he's coming off of, I don't think he really
28:06did much wrong, but like wasn't good results. And he had to slam himself against some bodies that weren't being blocked.
28:13So I find more risk. I mean, you know, last year I think I gave him a two.
28:18This year I gave him a five. I gave him a four this year.
28:23Um, look, I'm comfortable with him, Chris, at the end of one, and I'm not trying to do this just in ADP.
28:29And you and I discussed this when we were talking Almanac, like so much of his stats came in that 2000 yard season of those explosive runs.
28:37It was just massive gains. And I think he didn't have Lane Johnson last year, but yeah, there's a ton of moving parts here.
28:45No more AJ Brown, new offensive coordinator closing in on 30.
28:48So I still gave it a four, but I'd be good with him at the end of one.
28:54I am too. I am too. But that the point isn't so much like we're not there.
28:59We're there are two categories here. There's like, are we, are we critical of the ADP?
29:04But even if you'd take the guy, is he risky?
29:07And therefore is your build of later picks influenced?
29:09By it. Does that make sense? Yeah. And I think there's a little risk with him here.
29:15Like I don't, this is not someone who's going to run out.
29:18Yeah. You gave him a four. I think you, you, you, you did it.
29:22Speaking of players with risk, number 12, Justin Jefferson.
29:25I mean, he might be the best receiver in the league.
29:29He might, he's, I think top two. And the reason he's down here is because he's risky as hell.
29:34Cause what happened last year? I, you know, I, I think, I think it's a six.
29:39I gave it a five. Um, I'm higher than you.
29:42And it's shocking to me. And I wavered originally.
29:45Cause I will say I had a six. And then about an hour ago, I put it as a five.
29:51Cause I said, you know, look, quarterback situation was absurd last year.
29:55And then I said to myself, is Kyler Murray the savior?
29:58Like, you know, other than that year of Hopkins, where just Hopkins is going out and gobbling balls in the air.
30:04Like he hasn't been this wide receiver whisperer. So I am concerned, but like, man, it's only been one year where Jefferson's
30:11played and he hasn't, that he's played a full season.
30:14He's done less than 1400 yards. So I'm with you.
30:17Like, it's still just such an extreme talent. Five is pretty scary for me.
30:21So, but yeah, you're higher than me. Six is pretty scary for me.
30:25I would have thought you'd have been like an eight on Jefferson.
30:29Which isn't to say again, you might take them, but I just think that he's the kind of dude who, until you
30:36see it again, you're going to be super stressed out.
30:39I would, I would have thought so good. Good on you for not being stressed, I guess.
30:44Number 13, Ashton Gente. It's just, there's no threat to his primacy there.
30:48It's just a question of whether the offense is going to be good.
30:52He's, he's going to be better. He, you know, like, I don't, I'm not mad at this ADP.
30:57I just think it bears some risk. I gave him a four.
31:01I gave him a four too. I also just like to, to, I don't know anything Chris about offensive lines.
31:07I don't grade that, but I love hearing like, yo bro, Tyler Linda bombs there now.
31:12So I'll just throw that in there too. But yeah, there's just, the workload there is, is phenomenal.
31:17But four. Yeah. Chase Brown is next. Wow. That's high.
31:20I'm a big, biggest Chase Brown. I mean, this is an ADP conversation.
31:24That's high for Chase Brown. 14. Wow. I don't think I do that.
31:28I don't think there's a format in the world.
31:31I do that. He's a really, really good player, but I guess I'm officially the first, for the first time I'm priced out of the Chase Brown market.
31:40Your thoughts. And I'm not, I gave it a three and I wrote one of the safer picks.
31:45That's not what I'm asking. That's what I'm asking.
31:48I'm asking about the ADP. I don't care about the risk factor.
31:51So answer my question then. Three. I gave it a three.
31:55That's not my question. Do I think the ADP is crazy?
31:58Yes. I don't. You have them there. Interesting. Yeah.
32:01Yeah. I think that's, that's where he belongs. I don't.
32:04I think it's too high. I think a bunch of receivers belong above him because all the, you know, the, what you're, what we're like, we're splitting hairs.
32:12I'm still a top 20 player for me. I'm not like, you know, I'm not losing my mind over it, but I,
32:19I am very, that's the first ADP that once I looked at this, cause it's my first exposure, I went, wait, what
32:26he's, he's, he should be like a, like the first or second pick of the second round.
32:31He should go before Devon HM. I think that's not true.
32:34I think that's not true. And a lot of, and really, honestly, I would put HM ahead of him, but I, I'd
32:41put receivers ahead of him too, because a lot of the reason that people would endorse Chase Brown is for the receiving.
32:48And you know who does a lot of receiving.
32:50Yeah. Devon HM. Also receivers. Yeah. So you, you give him a three.
32:54I give him a four. I don't find him all that risky.
32:58I just think it's a high ADP. Let's move on.
33:01Kenneth Walker. What, what risk factor do you find him to have?
33:05I gave it a four. You're probably higher. Cause I know you had him as your, what did we call indigestion acid reflex list.
33:12You were probably higher than me. He is. He is a six because he was on my indigestion list.
33:18Um, for all the reasons that we said last week, I just, I, I think it's a little, it could work.
33:24He's a good player. You like him a lot.
33:27I know he's a really good player. The reason I talked about him last week.
33:32And the reason I gave him a six here is that this is really assuming a lot of things fall into place
33:38for him that have never fallen into place. Like he, I think there's a big health risk.
33:43Do we not agree that he's been hurt a lot?
33:46Oh, he's been hurt pretty much every year. He's had these lower, I mean, he's never had like the eight week KO,
33:53but he goes after two to three weeks. And yeah, this is his first time we're going to see him.
33:59I think a lot of people are just liking this to the, the Josh Jacob.
34:04It was Henry, like that whole season. We saw all these guys change teams and just explode.
34:09And I think it could happen again. If you want to, that's a stupid reason.
34:13That's a, if that's the reason, that's an unbelievably stupid reason because he changed teams.
34:18That's why he's going to not, you're saying it, but like, no, that's really dumb.
34:23Yeah. Look, I liken them to Robert Pattinson. I love the guy.
34:26I think that's, this is what his ADP is probably going to be.
34:30It's an early round too. If you want to own him just because of running back scarcity.
34:35I'm not like, I, I'm, I'm, we're having a hard time getting on the same page here because I'm really not like questioning your risk factor.
34:43I'm saying the ADP is a little high for me and I've said why, but I'm surprised that you only have them as a four.
34:51You can have them rated here and have them as an eight.
34:55You have McCaffrey as an eight or nine or whatever.
34:58And you're still saying you'd take him. It's just so, so a high risk factor doesn't mean you don't take them.
35:04You see what I'm saying? I don't see it.
35:07You're taking on risk. You don't see it as risky.
35:10I see. I, I go the injury risk. He's been hurt every year.
35:14And then there's a risk. The chiefs are just not awesome on offense.
35:18Yeah. No, look, I get it. You had him as one of six.
35:22You said six. Yeah. Yeah. I'm surprised that you didn't have Meyer, but it's good for people to hear.
35:27It's good. Cause I may be tilting people a little too, too heavy toward being scared of him.
35:33And you're a little less scared of him. Uh, I think we're both going to have a high rank on Devon HN for risk.
35:40And I would put him higher than 16 on my draft list, but I'm going to acknowledge that you're taking on a whole bunch of risk.
35:48I gave him a seven. I have a seven too.
35:51Um, and I've just had a really difficult time ranking him for exactly what you said.
35:56Yeah. The tower is great. We've seen him score.
35:59Um, but that doesn't mean it's not risky, especially when I hear the coach being like, bro, I'm going to give him 40 touches a game.
36:07And you and I have talked about it. It's like, yeah, I don't want that for him.
36:12Like I don't. Yeah. But again, the team also concerns me and we don't have to go into the large discussion, but
36:18I think at some point too, like them, the cards, if you're not playing well, do these guys sit if they get dinged?
36:25I don't think it's NBA level yet, but I just think that these leagues are copycats.
36:30I think they're copycat to a degree. And if you've got a team sitting there three and 11 and he gets, uh,
36:37Oh, his ankles busted, he's not playing the rest of the year.
36:41So there's that part that sits there with me.
36:43And I just also get concerned with Malik Willis.
36:46Like, what is that receiving? If it goes from 80, 90 catches to 50 and that team's just bad.
36:52You're just, you're just giving, you're giving an ADP argument.
36:55I can't keep doing this. Me too. And so like, I would take him at 10.
37:00I, I, at least, I mean, I will admit this, uh, this joint practice that happened this week where all the commanders
37:06be reporters were like laughing at how bad the dolphins were.
37:10That does give me pause. So that maybe it was a little downward mobility.
37:14But my point is that it's very possible for me to have a guy at 10 who has a risk factor of
37:21seven, just like it's very possible for you to have McCaffrey with a risk factor of nine to be your number five overall player.
37:28Because the, because you, you know, if everything works out fine, HN will be awesome.
37:33But I think it is fair to say that I might be ranking him close to his ceiling.
37:38And maybe that, maybe I need to come down just a little bit.
37:42Would you make that argument that if I'm putting it 10, that's, I'm not acknowledging enough downside on HN.
37:48You're not. Yeah. And again, I have the risk high too, and I have him 13 overall.
37:53Okay. All right. Well, oh, good. Okay. So, I mean, I thought you were going to say 20, so you were not that far off.
38:01All right. All right. Interesting case. And we've had, it's been a big Omar Ian Hampton, uh, week on the show.
38:07We've talked a lot about him. We talked about Keaton Mitchell yesterday.
38:11Um, uh, what's your Omarie Hampton risk factor? I got him as a six, six.
38:15Me too. How about that? Yeah. Look at us.
38:18Yeah. I mean, what's the risk? I just, it's been such a small sample size there.
38:23And I think that you have, look, I think Mike McDaniels, I don't believe every single thing, but when you're talking about,
38:30I'm going to use each one of these guys, it just, we haven't seen it yet with him there.
38:35We haven't seen a more than a half of the season with Hampton.
38:39There's Keaton Mitchell there. There's come on. He would dial.
38:42I plus he got hurt risk. I mean, and he himself hurt last year.
38:47Right. So anybody taking Omarie Hampton 17, which I am nowhere close to doing that.
38:51He's like 34 on my list. I'm nowhere close to taking it.
38:55If you, but like, I understand what could go right, which is why ranking him here is acceptable.
39:00Because if you, if the chargers are a wagon and Hampton is better than he showed last year, and he was an
39:07adverse circumstances, because we all know the reasons why we could wind up explaining away Hampton's rookie year.
39:12It could be fine. But if you're going to take him here, you got to acknowledge it's a six.
39:18You got to acknowledge I'm building risk into this team because it is not any kind of sure thing.
39:24No question about it. Derek Henry at 18, I would take ahead of a Murray and Hampton.
39:29No question. And part of that is because I would judge him much less risky.
39:34I gave him a three despite the age. And I gave it to, there you go.
39:39Yeah. It's funny that we feel this way. It's like, as he gets older, we get more confident in him.
39:45That seems perverse, but we do kind of, it's just one of those.
39:49It's a rare player where I just haven't seen the decline.
39:52And I'm just, it's not like one of those where I feel like it's going to be steep.
39:57Like out of just nowhere, like kind of what Lynch did.
40:01It just, I think there's very few running backs I've seen like him.
40:05I'm fine. Yeah, I'm fine too. And I'm would take him ahead of Hampton.
40:09No question. Even in a PPR, I'd take him at Hampton.
40:12I know I'm not getting receptions, but I'm cool with it.
40:16Number 19 is Drake London. I gave him a five because of the quarterback questions.
40:20He's really good. I also think some part of, for me of this risk coefficient is also a little bit about variability week by week.
40:28And London is one of these 50, 50 catch guys who's really talented, really good, deserves to be a wide receiver one.
40:34I'm cool, but they do have him and Nico Collins and they, they have rough rides.
40:39They have down weeks when they don't make the one big contested catch.
40:43To me, that feels like it needs to be factored into a little bit.
40:48I have the same coefficient as you. I have a five and it's the same thing.
40:52It's the quarterback play. And the rides are not really that smooth.
40:56Like you get those eruption games. And it's funny.
40:59We'll talk about that with Nico of like one 40 and two.
41:02And then it's just like halftime one for seven and other games.
41:06You're like, yo, is he playing? Did he get hurt?
41:09And yeah, I don't, I don't feel amazing with Penix and Tua.
41:13I mean, we saw what Tua has done the last few years.
41:16So there's an uncomfortability, but you're going to have these huge spikes.
41:20Um, and you know, the volume is going to be there whenever he's been playing and he's a wide receiver one.
41:26We are sponsored again by wild grain. If you love fresh bread with dinner, you just have to try wild grain because

42:29Okay, we're back with Josh. Josh. And before we get back to the rest of these first three rounds, Josh, it's time.
42:36I have run the random number generator. It is time to announce who hope provided they have a, some kind of microphone
42:43and some kind of camera, which I assume most people do.
42:46But if they do, by golly, I've done the random number drawing of people who've pre-ordered Pound Foolish.
42:51And the person who'll be drafting with us, we're recording on Monday night.
42:55It's Joe Vetchkin. It's Joe from Maryland who goes by Joe Vetchkin.
42:59I'm assuming that's an Alexander Ovechkin reference as a Maryland person.
43:02I have to believe it. I think it has to be, it has to be a hockey fan.
43:08See you Monday. A hockey fan. Yeah, see you Monday, Joe.
43:11I, of course, but by now, probably Joe's already gotten an email from me and, and probably already knows, but congratulations.
43:17If this is the first year hearing of it, that's a big one.
43:21That's a big giveaway. And Josh, truly thank you for your generosity to come do this.
43:26You're a really busy guy. And I do. Of course, man.
43:30I appreciate it very much. All right. Let's congratulations to Joe.
43:33There will be more drawings throughout the rest of August.
43:36So pre-order Pound Foolish. Send me proof of purchase.
43:39Hey, Harris at HarrisFootball.com. Come on, come on tour.
43:42Please come, come to the meetups. Love to meet you.
43:45We're at number 20. In the, uh, live ADP as of when we grabbed it.
43:49Uh, it's Brock Bowers. Now, once again, a very clear, these next two guys are very clearly players.
43:55You and I are never going to take at their ADPs.
43:58I will, I will tell you, I was not surprised or, you know, seeing that the first tight end of the first
44:05quarterback be in the mid to late second round.
44:07I know that's just how it goes. We're never going to do that.
44:11It's funny. Last year, I gave Bowers a huge high risk factor.
44:15I gave him an eight and he wasn't hurt yet.
44:18And I was trying to think back why. And it's, it truly had to have been just chip Kelly, Gino Smith.
44:24I'm terrified of everything. And then on top of it, he obviously got hurt and hobbled around for half the year, but
44:31I lowered that down to a six. Yeah. And I'm at a five.
44:35You and I are just not going to own him or the next player.
44:39Correct. Yeah. Correct. I mean, I guess. Probably I would, if I have to be honest, I would admit that part of
44:46why I'm giving a little extra risk bump here is that it's a risky build.
44:51We, we both find it to be sort of an unacceptable level of risk to take the tight end here.
44:57Does that factor in for you at all? A hundred percent.
45:00And I did it last year in four with McBride and it worked, but like you said, you're playing catch up at
45:07either running back or receiver later on. And then you and I really quickly will sit here and go, wow, round six,
45:13I could have just taken, you know, if I was going to do it, which you probably wouldn't like LaPorter.
45:19And I, you know what? I'd rather go back now, get rid of Bowers, have the running back or receive there and
45:26take the tight end five rounds later. That's the problem.
45:29It's so funny that you say that because I drafted with Jake Trowbridge last night and he did it.
45:35He didn't, he took not one of the first two.
45:38He might've taken Loveland and then immediately like two rounds.
45:41I was like, well, I didn't need to do that.
45:44Did I? And he winds up, he winds up with a bad quarterback as a result.
45:49All right. And then the other 21 is Josh Allen.
45:52I mean, he's not risky, but I don't love taking the quarterback there.
45:56So I still gave him a three. I gave it a two.
46:00Okay. Same thing. All right. Same idea. All right.
46:02Interesting. I'm, I'm really interested to see what number you'd give AJ Brown.
46:06This feels like a fair draft spot for him ish adjacent somewhere.
46:10I mean, you got to take somebody and it were out of shore things, I think.
46:15And AJ Brown, you know, there's, there's definitely knee stuff with him.
46:18There's changing team stuff with him. What numbers you wind up giving him?
46:22I gave it a six, but I like him.
46:25And that means I can still do that based on your rules.
46:29And I would pick him. I've already bet him, Chris, for most receiving TDs, which was 24 to one.
46:35I just think that, I think that's really great.
46:37I think he's getting the best quarterback of his career.
46:40And look, you could sit here and talk to me about all the advanced metrics and his separation scores and yards per route run down.
46:48You know what I said? Can't a guy just be sad, man?
46:52Like sometimes you're just sad and you need to change the scenery.
46:55And all of us have had that throughout their professional careers where you're not your best self.
47:00This is not a 34 year old. This is not the Devante Adams, Mike Evans class.
47:05I still think he's got at least an elite season left playing with the best quarterback.
47:10Do I think he's going to T O these, these slants and take them 80 yards across the middle after catch?
47:16Maybe not that anymore, but I still think that he's a really high end receiver.
47:21And I'm looking forward to it, but, but I acknowledge the risk.
47:25Right. But you're giving him what, what would you say the biggest risk is?
47:29That's, that's, I think the knee stuff, I think, I think he's got the knee stuff that makes it.
47:35It's still a change of scenery. I agree. It's a, it should be a good chain of change of injury because it's
47:41exactly where you want it to be. It, it theoretically is a better quarterback.
47:46I gave him a four. So I wasn't, but it, but it, for me, it was about injury.
47:51That's the concern. All right. 23 is Nico Collins.
47:54If I'm going to give Drake London a five, I'm probably going to give Nico Collins a five.
47:59I gave him a four, but looking back, it's probably the same thing as London.
48:04Another guy who just finds his way to get concussions, lower hamstring injuries.
48:08It's not the, you know what I wrote down to, I wrote absolute animal, six, four freak monster version of Pickens.
48:14Like I love, like watching him play. Chris is amazing.
48:17Like, I wish he was in a different ecosystem than that Houston Texans team with, you know, I was the innovator and
48:24the originator of how bad Stroud is. I'll always pat myself on the back after his rookie year.
48:29You were, but I acknowledged the risk. So I gave him a four.
48:33I gave him a five for the same reason that I gave London a five hurt a lot.
48:39I'm not totally sold on what's around him. And that type of receiver is just inherently week by week, a little bit frustrating.
48:46You said it earlier perfectly, which, you know, you get the 130 yard game and you're like, it'll be like this forever.
48:53And then you get the eight yard game. You're like, Oh, maybe it won't.
48:57So I gave them both fives. Here's a big one.
49:00I can't wait to hear your version of this.
49:03Cause we've talked in the off season. What did you do for Pickens?
49:07Cause I'm a much bigger fan than you are, but I'm so curious.
49:11Well, it's not far off from where I would take him.
49:14So this isn't, this is just acknowledging the risk of taking him there.
49:18And it, and it is scary and you do kind of have to build an upside, but like it's two spots off from where I would take him.
49:26Not, not among receivers, among all players. He's 24 here.
49:29I have him 26. So I am definitely not anti this ADP.
49:33I understand it, but I gave it an eight because I mean, let me count the ways Bernie, you know, I mean, he's, he's a knucklehead.
49:41And if he goes off the reservation, you, you lose period.
49:44And then I just think we're often wrong about, Hey, these two guys are on such a good offense that they could never be bad.
49:52And then, I mean, can you name me a season where we drafted two receivers from the same team in the top 12 receivers?
49:59And it worked. Cause I can't, I can give you a Tyreek Hill, Jalen Waddle.
50:04I can give you a Devante Smith, AJ Brown.
50:06I can give you a Jamar chase. Cup and woods, cup and woods.
50:10I wouldn't spend $200 on rapid words in an auction.
50:13Yeah. Like it doesn't really ever work. So that to me adds just a general, like we might have it wrong.
50:20We might be doing the wrong thing. Pickens should be higher than lamb.
50:24Like that's possible. But if it's not, you know, the, if you believe lamb over pickens, then you believe pickens is the likelier to tail off.
50:32So he gets an eight out of me, but more importantly, what does it get out of you?
50:37I only had him as a four and maybe I'm biased.
50:41Cause I've had him forever. And I was so excited.
50:44And I'm like, no, no, no, I'm going to ride this.
50:47But I did write down with an asterisk one game.
50:50He did not try. And it's exactly what you said.
50:53I still think he's motivated this year for another contract, but yeah, I mean, it scares me.
50:58There's some games where I remember getting texting last year, like, Hey, did you see that play where he quit?
51:04Like he just doesn't care sometimes, Josh. Um, I remember having this, you're acknowledging risk with your, you're acknowledging risk with a four.
51:11You're giving him a four. You're just saying it's not overpowering, but it's not like you're giving a one.
51:17So I, I, I definitely understand a Trey McBride.
51:20I gave Bowers a six. I'm going to give McBride a six.
51:23I don't like the quarterback. Yeah. It's kind of the same thing.
51:27And then, and then it's really just, we love these players.
51:30It's just, we don't like the strategy and that's for us factoring in.
51:34All right. We have our rookie running back here at 26.
51:38Um, guess who is not getting Jeremiah love this year, except for in La Liga where I drafted him in the rookie
51:44draft, but, uh, we're not, uh, we're not doing this.
51:47I, I'm going to be recommending people do not indulge in Jeremiah love.
51:51Um, what, what number did you give him? I gave him a six.
51:55You probably gave him a seven or an eight.
51:58I gave him a seven. Yeah. I will say this.
52:01This is a lot more palatable, Chris, than when Gentty was going seven or eight last year.
52:06And you were like, what is everyone doing, man?
52:09Yes. It is more palatable. I have them 33.
52:12I can't, it's around, but you know, I'm not, I'm not like falling off my chair.
52:17You're right. Yeah. I would pick the next three running backs and the receivers that we're probably about to hear over him, except for one receiver.
52:25But yeah, I mean, I acknowledge the risk. I hate the team.
52:28You've already done this thing with the dolphins. I think that comes in at some point and just, I'm just, I'm not
52:35doing the rookie running backs in the first three rounds.
52:38I've just seen it too many times and I can name them in your generational prospect.
52:43Sure. I get it. I mean, that's my, that's my gig.
52:46Every single time I do that bit on your podcast, but yeah, I mean, I five straight years of a generational tight
52:53end, five straight years of the generational receivers and running backs.
52:56You wouldn't believe what they did in the combine.
52:59Yada, yada, yada. Give me the six. It won't be on my team.
53:03Seven for me. Again, like you won't be on my team because it's a round off, but you're right.
53:09It's a, it's well said it is perspective that it is because it's the Cardinals.
53:13I mean, it's funny that the Cardinals of 2026 are held in so much more contempt than the Raiders of 2025 who
53:20were historically bad, but yeah, it's not, it's not the first round.
53:24We got Kyron Williams at 27. I think we're learning that there are some Rams who are going to be eligible for a flag list.
53:31This is really low for me, but I'll admit there's probably a little, like last year I gave him a two and
53:38I'll admit I gave him a three because there is a little more risk because Blake Corum got a little bit more involved.
53:45So week by week, there's a potential for me to be slightly more annoyed.
53:49He deserves a slight, I'm going to take them higher than this.
53:53No way higher than this, but there is a potential to be a little more annoyed this year.
53:58Yeah, I gave him a four. I'm typically the Kyron hater.
54:02I've kind of started to come around. I mean, the Corum stuff is there, but like the guy's got a nose for
54:08an end zone playing on an absurd team. And at 27 as well, I mean, this is a slam dunk flag player for you.
54:16I know that. Just based on this. I mean, I have the 13, 13 standard, 20 PPR.
54:21So like, you know, somewhere in the middle for half, but yeah, not 27.
54:25So Devante Smith as the new Eagles clear number one wide receiver, if there's risk, it's just, did we kind of see
54:32the peak already of the Eagles, but I don't think it's a strong risk.
54:36I give it a three. I have a three too.
54:39I do like, this sounds funny to say, I like that McKay lemons dinged up.
54:43I feel like that just, you know, gets him off to a nice low start too.
54:48And do people forget he won the Heisman also?
54:51I feel like everyone just forgets that for Devante Smith.
54:54Good player. Yeah. All right. Here's a big one.
54:57Here's the riskiest guy on the board. I would assume.
55:00Did you give a number 29 Malik neighbors a 10 as I did?
55:04No, I went eight. I mean, eight is still so high.
55:07Absolutely. It is. Yeah, of course, of course. I'm not mad at that.
55:11We're just acknowledging insane risk. Like just because he started walking around with the first team doesn't mean that his knee won't start to swell in week three.
55:20We just don't know. He's going around three in every single draft and I'm in a New York league.
55:25And I think this is, I think he's going to get picked before 29.
55:30It's just like, you know, again, another generational receiver.
55:32I actually think he's an amazing talent, but me too.
55:35I'm not doing it off of the injury until I see it for a period.
55:40Yeah. I mean, I gave him a 10. It's, it's a round off from where I would take him.
55:46I, I, I have raised him. I mean, I started with him significantly lower, but I still have him 39 overall.
55:52I still have him behind like Ted McMillan, T Higgins.
55:55Same. I have him behind McLaurin. Probably not going to change that just because there is just like, it's the week one is not a finish line.
56:03You know what I mean? Like just because he's ready and, and he, and he's been, this seems like a best case so far.
56:11So like, that's why I've raised him. I've raised him significantly from where he is in the Almanac, but yeah, I don't think I could do this high.
56:19He's King risk for me. He's the only 10 I gave.
56:23I don't think I even gave a nine. I think I just gave one 10 King risk.
56:28Uh, number 30, Chris Olave. The concussion risk is there.
56:31Otherwise it feels okay because the concussions, I gave him a four.
56:34I gave him a four too. I always like him more when he's around four player versus a three, like, but you
56:41know, he doubles his TD amounts and all of a sudden now he's back to being in an early three pick.
56:48Yeah, but he's a really exceptional player when he's playing there.
56:51But I mean, he takes some of these shots.
56:54It's sure. I think you need to know what you're doing in the third round.
56:58If you take them, I would take them there.
57:01Like I am higher than this. You need to know what you're doing.
57:05You know, you need to, you know, All right.
57:0831. Rashi rice. Oh yeah. Would you give him?
57:10I gave an eight. Eight. I also gave him an eight.
57:14What's the risk for you? I just, Chris, I've never seen him do this.
57:18Like we're talking about a guy who's coming off back to back years.
57:22He still hasn't broken 600 yards the last two years.
57:25And we do it on point per game projections.
57:28He's in and out of jail all the time.
57:30We don't know what this team is going to look like.
57:34And we just go, no man, like he's going to finally put it together for 17 games.
57:39But then we hear in the same thing. It's like, no, Ken Walker is going to take all these screens where, I
57:46mean, isn't that also where Rashi rice operates. So it's just, we got this guy who's kind of like this slant screen,
57:52check down merchant who we've still never actually seen put together this round three season, but we do it every single year.
57:59I would come nowhere to taking him here. I have them on my list, Chris, as wide receiver, 26.
58:05Like I haven't just wide receiver that high off board for me, not doing it off board.
58:10Yeah. Off board. And the risk is a big part of why I understand that I haven't higher than that.
58:1619 standard right now, 14 PPR. That might be a little high.
58:20I might, I might look at that PPR rank and come down a couple of spots.
58:25You're scaring me. There's also just the risk that chiefs keep saying it, but the chiefs, you know, they might not be the chiefs.
58:32They just, they haven't been for about a year and a half.
58:36So interesting. All right. 32. Another crazy risk guy, Josh Jacobs.
58:39I gave him a seven. I give him an eight.
58:42Okay. I mean, it's suspension and he got hurt last year and he got overworked into being hurt last year.
58:48And that matters. And so maybe there's a risk that they're simply not going to write him like they read him, wrote him previously, read him.
58:56But I have, I've lowered him with this injury.
58:59You know, he has a groin injury. I think he's going to miss a significant portion of the rest of time, training camp time.
59:06And I'll, I'll probably just feel okay. Being out on Josh Jacobs at this point.
59:10I mean, this is about where I haven't ranked 32 standard 35 PPR.
59:14It's not that far off, but it feels obviously really weird for me to not be ahead of the market.
59:21Josh Jacobs guy. Yeah. But there's obviously a reason why 33 T Higgins.
59:24I still find him risky. I, I give him a six.
59:28And I gave him a four. Okay. There's a borough risk, but there's also, he gets hurt a lot.
59:34He does. He misses a couple of games each year.
59:37Yeah. 34. Totally thrilled as a, as a person who lives in New York to see you, you have to have a high number on Brees Hall.
59:45So again, by your rules, I would love to take him at 34.
59:49I think this is a dream ADP, but I acknowledge I have them.
59:53I have him as a six. You probably have him higher than that.
59:57I have him as a seven, but again, dream AD, absolutely on board.
60:01Totally would take him. This is way, way, way, way lower than I would that, you know, this is, I would take
60:07it much higher than where we are right now, but I would do it in full knowledge that I was taking on a running back with extreme risk.
60:16Yeah. And you know what I, you know what I find interesting just really quick.
60:20I think it's worth having this combo. I wrote down, ask Chris, is this the cheaper version of getting Devon HM, right?
60:27Like not the greatest team, still a back that I think can catch.
60:31And he's done it before 60, 70 balls. Like, and you're getting like a 20 pick discount.
60:36It feels like, I don't know. I just, I think this is the ultimate ADP value that we have on this list right now of all the players.
60:45It's my favorite ADP, but I do acknowledge the risk.
60:48Yeah. Yeah. We acknowledge the risk. You know what I'll say about that is they both were in pretty crummy situations last year.
60:55A-chan finishes seventh and. Yeah. Hall finishes 18th and didn't, neither one missed any time.
60:59So that's the, that's the answer. The answer is that HN has to some degree already proven that he can overcome garbage
61:06because that team by the end of last year was pretty garbage.
61:10Maybe not as garbage as this year though. Whereas did the Jets get better?
61:14Oh, Gino Smith hasn't looked very good either. But of course, I guess that's right.
61:18If you're asking me like, who do I feel comes at better value here?
61:23It certainly would be Brees Hall, but it would be at extreme risk.
61:27Not, not so much because we think he gets hurt, but just because as with HN, you just go, Oh boy.
61:33What if it all just goes super bad and they're two and 10 and they don't really want to use them anymore?
61:40It could be. As a New Yorker, there are many games that are unwatchable and you shut off and you go, I can't even do this anymore.
61:48And you're like, did I, you go to the gym, you check back or you're putting on another game.
61:54You're like, has he touched it again? No. Like it's brutal.
61:57When you get some of these games, it's like the bills and it's 21, nothing at the beginning of the second, you
62:04go, Oh, I'll just catch five passes or something, please.
62:07All right. We've done the drama. There's two more names here left in this ADP third round.
62:12Javante Williams. I gave him a four because I don't think, I don't think he's like an amazing player and there's a way for him to be hurt.
62:21He's been hurt in his career, but like fine.
62:23And then Zay flowers at 36, another, I think it's good value.
62:27I like him there. And I don't really think there's that.
62:30I give him a three. I gave him a three.
62:33Also. I think there's minimal risk at all there.
62:36And I like that. When you, when you're down this low, getting a three is pretty minimal risk.
62:42Like he's the kind of player I would like to pair with McCaffrey.
62:45If I took McCaffrey in the first, not pair, but like have on the same team as McCaffrey in the first round,
62:52because I just feel like I know what I'm going to get.
62:56I might be wrong, but I do feel that way.
62:59All right. Well, we've, I think we figured it out by the time we got to the end, we figured out the rules.
63:06Uh, well done. Follow Josh on Instagram at detective fish.
63:09F I S C H. When next we hear and see you, it'll be on YouTube along with Joe Vetchkin and me doing a mock draft.
63:17That'll be fun. Yeah, dude, I'm pumped for it.
63:20I'm looking, looking forward to doing a mock. Um, and I, and I promise to do it authentically, even though I have
63:26a real draft coming up and I'm sure my, uh, my peers from that league will be listening.
63:32And thank you so much for listening to this show.
63:35In fact, Josh is so concerned about that, that he's like, okay, so I'm picking at the end of my real draft.
63:41So can I pick at the beginning of this fake draft?
63:45So, so I don't have to give any strategy away.
63:48I'm like, absolutely. So you're going to see Josh picking early in that mock with Joe Vetchkin on, uh, well, probably you'll see it on Tuesday.
63:56We'll be recording it on Monday. Um, let's thank the sponsors because without sponsors, there's no show today.
64:01We had trust and will and Viori and wild grain.
64:04If you were interested in anything I had to say about those sponsors, if you could see your way through to supporting
64:11them when you have a need for what they offer, that would be great.
64:15You can find information about them in today's show notes, all the current sponsors listed at Harris football.com.
64:21Uh, you know, we got through it. Like Josh said, eventually, you know, you get yelled at once.
64:26I knew it was coming. I said it before we even got to him.
64:30Uh, indeed, but we figured it out and all good.
64:33And to be honest, he makes some good points on HN and I am nervous enough about what the commanders beat reporters
64:40said about the dolphins that I'll probably pay attention to one more joint practice with the dolphins.
64:45And if it still sounds like it's this bad, HN might need to go a few spots lower.
64:51Good points by Josh. Now we did have the, the big mock draft contest with Josh, uh, all settled, but we've got
64:57plenty more drawings coming for great prizes next week.
65:00I don't even know what all the prizes are, but for sure, it'll be a bunch of zoom sessions with me.
65:07Remember, all you have to do is pre-order pound foolish and send me a little proof of purchase and we'll be all set.
65:14That is going to do it for this show.
65:16It's going to do it for this full week of shows.
65:20It was a blast for me. And cousin Josh's flag list.
65:23So a big, big week coming up next week.
65:26Really looking forward to doing it with all of you right back here until then.
65:30Thanks again so much for listening. Your hat is awesome.
65:33You're awesome for wearing it. I will talk to you on Monday.
