PositiveRole0:10

Aaron Rodgers has joined the Pittsburgh Steelers, which could provide a more competent offense than last year, but his conservative playing style may limit fantasy upside.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveRole0:21

Antonio Williams is being considered for the Z receiver role in Washington, which could provide him with significant opportunities in the passing game.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeInjury0:13

Bucky Irving's injury situation is concerning, as he is only expected to be ready for training camp, which raises questions about his role and effectiveness this season.

Insight page

Caleb Johnson

PositiveDepth Chart0:46

Caleb Johnson is likely the RB3 for the Steelers, but his recent practice clips shouldn't overly influence fantasy drafts.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue0:45

Chase Brown is being drafted late in the second round, but he should be valued in the early second range due to his significant role in the Bengals' offense, where he averaged 19.4 PPR points per game without Jake Browning.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveValue0:25

Chris Godwin is being undervalued in drafts, and with a potential slot role in the new offense, he could outperform his current ADP.

Insight page

Jacoby Brissett

NegativeRole0:43

Jacoby Brissett's performance has been underwhelming, ranking 23rd in EPA per drop back last year, and there are doubts about his ability to be a long-term solution for Arizona.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveRole0:55

Jaden Daniels has an interesting connection with Kayshawn Boutte from their time at LSU, which could play a role if Boutte is traded to a team with Daniels.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection0:12

Justin Herbert's fantasy production is expected to improve with the return of key offensive linemen, which has shown to significantly impact his performance.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveRole0:08

Keaton Mitchell is a great fit for Mike McDaniel's offense, which favors fast running backs, and he could see a role similar to that of Devon Achane.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveValue0:51

Kenneth Gainwell is being drafted more frequently than Bucky Irving, indicating a shift in value perception among fantasy players.

Insight page

Malik Davis

PositiveDepth Chart0:26

Malik Davis currently has the edge as the running back two for the Cowboys, but his value remains uncertain as he is largely undrafted.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveValue0:58

Matthew Golden is a value in best ball formats due to the lack of depth at wide receiver in Green Bay, making him a solid late-round pick.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

PositiveMatchup0:52

Michael Pittman could potentially outscore DK Metcalf this year, making him a valuable asset in fantasy drafts.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveValue0:36

Nico Collins is a strong value pick this year, especially with reports of increased target volume and his solid performance metrics from last season.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

PositiveValue0:09

Ricky Pearsall is in a highly efficient offense and had a strong yards per route run last year, making him a valuable late-round pick.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveRole0:26

Saquon Barkley is expected to bounce back this season as the offensive scheme in Philadelphia is set to improve, which could enhance his fantasy value.

Insight page

Sean Tucker

PositiveRole0:17

Sean Tucker has contingent upside in the backfield and led in rushing yards over expected last year, making him a valuable pick in best ball formats.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveRole0:50

Terry McLaurin had a career-high 2.22 yards per route run last year, and with David Blough as the offensive coordinator, the offense is expected to revolve around him with a target goal of 10 per game.

1:05We'll be live each Wednesday at noon Eastern. Without further ado, here's this week's episode.
1:10Welcome in. Welcome in. Welcome in. It's the Late Round Fantasy Football Show.
1:14I'm David Kitchen, a.k.a. just here to hang out.
1:17You know, just here to hang out. Titles don't even matter.
1:20And I'm here with a guy who you might have heard of, J.J.
1:24Zacharysen. And JJ, how are you today? A.k.a. just here to hang out.
1:28Is that what we're supposed to call you now?
1:31So I got to tell you a quick story that's related to that.
1:35So my wife and I will go out with the kids often.
1:39We've talked about this, how I rollerblade while my kids ride bikes.
1:42My wife rides a bike now and stuff. She got a new bike.
1:47And so the kids and my wife are riding bikes.
1:50I'm riding my rollerblades, which for the record, guys, I do wear a helmet.
1:54OK, earlier on, I wasn't wearing a helmet. I wear a helmet.
1:58Don't worry about it. OK, I am. I am wearing a helmet.
2:02And so the one day we go out and we go on the greenway that's pretty close to our house and we're riding along.
2:09Right. And then my daughter, who's older than my son, she wants to go on kind of an adventure.
2:15And so her and I leave. And then my wife was with my son, CJ.
2:20OK. And as they're riding. So I'm out of the picture.
2:23You know, Avery and I are doing some crazy stuff as as they're riding on this greenway.
2:28People are going by them, you know, because they're on walks and stuff like that.
2:33And this one older woman walks by and you know how like grandma aged women are when they see a kid.
2:40They're just like they'll say something. Right. Yeah. Yeah.
2:42Yeah. And so they look down at CJ, who's three.
2:46OK, they look down at CJ and they go, wow, you're doing a great job.
2:50And then CJ looks up at my wife and he says, why they call me great job?
2:56I see Jay and I'm doing a good job.
2:58So it reminded me with your with your intro of what we should be calling you just here to hang out.
3:05Yeah. Yeah. Why? Why they say just here to hang out.
3:08Everything now is just related back to that. I was going to say you're number two like I used to.
3:15And then I was like, I can't do Brandon like that.
3:18I'm just like to your number. I can't say a number two employee.
3:22Yeah. Maybe number two employee. Yeah. Yeah. All right.
3:25Last week. Schedule. Out. Done. Finished. Yeah. And then we also announced something on our end.
3:30So I'm going to take off the schedule part of this, JJ.
3:34And I'm going to put something new. And that is, well, I'm not going to put the date because, you know, you're going to put the date.
3:42I was going to say that's on you. That's on you.
3:46But the day things can change. But I will put a question mark and I will just say days until new.
3:52Late round dot com. Yeah. So we put an image out there to let everyone know that a new late round dot com is coming.
4:00It's coming very soon. I've been talking about on shows and with the discord members and such that we've been working on
4:07a lot of stuff over this offseason. And we have.
4:10And one of those things is a new website.
4:13You guys have been seeing the website on late round dot com for four years now that I built.
4:19I did everything for that. I mean, I don't know if people know.
4:23Like I have somewhat of like a background in like front end web development and stuff like that and design.
4:29And so like I can do that kind of stuff to a degree.
4:33It's just that I changed my careers and I haven't really I hadn't really touched that stuff for like a decade.
4:40And then I just got thrown back into it because I'm an entrepreneur.
4:44And I'm like, oh, I got to be lean and just build a website and put it out there.
4:50And it worked for what I needed for the last four years or so.
4:54But we are changing things up pretty dramatically with the business and such.
4:58And it should be happening very, very soon. I don't want to put a date out there.
5:03Yeah. Yeah, because it's not worth it. We do have a date in mind and it's coming very soon.
5:09And that's I would just say this teaser. Make sure you're signed up for the newsletter.
5:14Yes. That would be key. Yes. Yes. It is key that you sign up for the newsletter.
5:20We've got some fun stuff happening. We have some people, you know, this is an interactive show.
5:25And so we like to get down and nerdy on this show.
5:29And Pat said, since Kitchen didn't intro improperly, all hell corporate fantasy overlord, J.J.
5:33Zacharysen. Yeah, that's me. That's me for sure. I also saw a question about speaking of Brandon.
5:38Yes. Brandon Gadula. When can we get him on a stream?
5:42Well, folks, just so you guys know, we're doing this on Tuesday this week, this show, because I am going away for
5:49there's a lot of stuff going on in my hometown in Pittsburgh.
5:52And so we're going to go to Pittsburgh, family wise and stuff, all good things.
5:57There's no funeral or anything. And we're going there for a chunk of this week.
6:02And so we had to reschedule this. And I am also recording late round perspectives for this week.
6:07And for those of you who are listening right now, you get a little sneak peek.
6:12The guest is Brandon Gadula. We can never give a perspective sneak peek like ever.
6:17I know, but I am this week because it's the offseason and we only have the diehards that are listening right now.
6:24So I'm actually recording it right after this. So you guys will see in the video, I'm wearing the exact same thing.
6:31And I think about that all the time. I wonder if people like Brandon's in chat.
6:36I wonder if people who consume all of our content and our video content, because there are some days where I record
6:43because we do this show on Wednesdays. There's some days where I record perspectives on Wednesday and then it releases Friday.
6:49And so I wonder if people have made the connection of like, oh, wait, he's wearing the same thing that he did for the late round show.
6:58Yeah. Yeah. It's it's funny how that works. Some people just order multiples of the same thing.
7:03Yeah. Guys, kitchen gave me a hard time for ordering five.
7:07I didn't give you a hard time about about like the actual hoodie.
7:11You did. It's it's the brand is DT Wu.
7:13If they want a sponsor, feel free. It's like a golf hoodie kind of shirt thing.
7:18It's like they're very nice. Very nice. Kitchens. Apparently, did he get one?
7:22He got one. Wait a second. You got one after giving me such a hard time.
7:27This is unbelievable. Look at this. You gave me such a hard time about buying these hoodies and you went out and bought one of the hoodies.
7:36What on earth? Crazy. It's comfortable. I saw you wearing it.
7:39It's comfortable. I wanted to get one. And and yeah, this is like an NFL team making fun of what the Rams
7:46did last year and then drafting a bunch of tight ends this year in the draft.
7:51That's exactly what this is. This is crazy. It's a great hoodie, though, isn't it?
7:56You open that up. So like I couldn't have asked for a better.
8:00I can't believe it's just sitting right next to you.
8:03You could just put it on because I almost in our meeting yesterday.
8:07I almost put it on. I'm like, no, I'm going to save it for this show.
8:12Oh, my gosh, man. That was a really good.
8:15That was a great segue. Shout out DT Wu.
8:18Extra O not sponsored yet. You know, maybe we need to reach out to DT.
8:22Bro, I'm telling you what. It's one of the most versatile hoodies.
8:26You will. You can wear it when it's cold.
8:29You can wear it where it's a little bit warm.
8:32I mean, it's just it's just a great, great hoodie.
8:35And I have I wore one of them on at Radio Row when we interviewed Mac the one day.
8:41Maybe a fantasy football collections in the works like a summer dad fantasy football collection.
8:46Oh, if we get some DT Wu late round apparel.
8:49My goodness. My goodness. That would blow up. OK, I wasn't expecting it to turn it quite into this.
8:55But again, you lob the perfect softball. So it's the off season.
8:59We can get weird. And if people in the comments want to yell at us, they can yell at us.
9:05We're just having fun. That's right. All right. So, yeah, make sure you're signing for the newsletter and look for some really cool.
9:12Kyle said Rams running 13 personnel, JJ running 15 sweatshirts.
9:15Yeah, I wasn't making fun of this sweatshirt. Just to be clear, is the fact that he he bulk ordered, you know, 15 of them.
9:23And I both ordered five and they were all different colors and patterns.
9:27These are what genius people do, though. You hear about.
9:30I don't want to think about what I'm putting on every day.
9:34Yeah, that's right. You guys will see me wearing my Dickies T-shirts almost every stream.
9:39This time I'm not wearing I'm wearing a salty dog cafe one.
9:42But like, look. If you don't have to make that decision in the morning, it's a fantastic feeling.
9:48Or I guess after I usually shower after a workout.
9:51So I'm like, you know, it's a little bit later in the morning.
9:55But regardless, we don't have to make that decision.
9:58That's one fewer decision you have to make. And as a CEO of a company.
10:03I'm just kidding. We can move on. Okay. With that being said, let's just let's get on to it.
10:09It's today's news. Today's fantasy news. All right, JJ.
10:12We are leading. I figured you want to talk about Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers.
10:16So this is a shock to many. And I'm sure you're one of them.
10:21Yeah, the person who's been drafting Aaron Rodgers everywhere in basketball.
10:24Yeah. Look, do I think the Steelers needed to do something like this?
10:28Not necessarily. I think that they're just kind of stuck in this like purgatory.
10:32Make the playoffs. Losing the first round kind of vibe.
10:36I will say, I think the Steelers roster is not that bad.
10:39Like overall, the defense played a lot better down the stretch last year.
10:43And the one thing that I think is going unnoticed and not talked about enough with the Steelers team is that Mike
10:50Tomlin, say what you want about him. You know, I'm not, you know, I think that he was fine and good and a good head coach.
10:58And I think that Mike McCarthy in some probably a downgrade, you know, from a Mike Tomlin, but they bring something different to the table.
11:06Mike McCarthy, obviously a more offensive minded coach. Mike Tomlin, not that way.
11:10And he's definitely more of that, like just standard leadership style of coaching and players coach.
11:15But the thing that's going sort of like not talked about enough is that there's a brand new coaching staff beyond the head coaches.
11:23There's a brand new coaching staff in terms of OCD.
11:26I mean, the OC, we have very little information on just based on his history.
11:31But like, you know, there's there's there's coordinator changes.
11:33And anytime that we see that objectively in the fantasy space, we say to ourselves, OK, this invites more variants because we don't know for sure.
11:42But there is more variants, right? Like there is the idea that this could actually go a lot better than what it
11:48was last year, because there are pieces on this Steelers team that are high end pieces.
11:53Now, if I were running the Steelers, I would have a couple of years ago traded T.J.
11:59Watt and done a full rebuild and gotten a lot of capital out of that and kind of moved on that way.
12:06But that's not where they are right now. You know, and where they are right now is that they have a team that can be competitive.
12:14I mean, we saw that. Remember, they went into Detroit last year and they won that game like, yeah, we saw them
12:21hit a ceiling at times last year. And I would argue that the roster right now today looks better on paper than
12:27it did last year, especially on the offensive side, especially the weapons that they have when they, you know, they add Michael Pittman.
12:35They draft Jeremy Bernard, you know, the backfield. Obviously, they lose Kenneth Gainwell, but Rico Dowdell's there and Jalen Jalen Warren.
12:41I think the offensive line should be strong. So all of that combined are strong enough.
12:46All of that combined. I can understand, you know, them needing Aaron Rodgers to be on the roster.
12:52You know, is he going to be fantasy relevant?
12:55What's this going to look like? I look at last year's numbers with Rodgers unreal conservative, and I think we're going to still see a pretty conservative Rodgers.
13:03He's always been conservative in the way that he has approached his throws is why his interception totals have always been really low.
13:11The difference, though, is that he had the escapability and the arm to be able to do some crazy things down the
13:17field before to make up for that, whereas he just dumps it off now all the time.
13:23I'm I am hoping, though, that the additions at wide receiver to Pittman with Pittman and Jeremy Bernard, you know, kind of
13:30like profile as lower a dot players could really help out him not just simply dumping the ball off as much as
13:37he did last season and being as conservative as he was last year.
13:41So my take on Rodgers and the Steelers from like a fantasy angle and stuff, I think that, you know, I think
13:47DK Metcalf has been overvalued in best ball throughout the offseason so far.
13:52I think that still holds true because I think there's a non-zero chance Michael Pittman just outscores DK Metcalf this year in general.
13:59And then Jeremy Bernard obviously being there fine as a dart throw if you want to, because the slot role in that
14:06Mike McCarthy offense is usually somewhat valuable. I think they're going to run a decent amount of 11 personnel.
14:12It's going to be a very different offense than what we saw with Arthur Smith.
14:16So from that perspective, there's a little bit of excitement, you know, as like a fan, if you're a fan of the
14:23Steelers, I think that at least you'll see a probably more competent team than you otherwise would if they had like Will Howard or Mason Rudolph.
14:31I think the big question is one of these quarterbacks is either good.
14:35I mean, they're either going to have to practice squad drew aller somehow, or they're going to have to cut Mason Rudolph or Will Howard, right?
14:43Because most teams will roll with three quarterbacks. And I think that Mason Rudolph is probably the easiest one to keep because of his experience and such.
14:52Like he's a backup quarterback. Like he could at least do that.
14:56And so it's really interesting how like two months ago, there were all there was all this talk about Will Howard being the starter this year.
15:04And then all of a sudden you're like, wait, like there's at least some chance.
15:08I'm not saying it's happening. There's at least some chance he's not on the roster this season, you know?
15:14So that that to me is going to be an interesting storyline to watch.
15:19Yeah, this is again with OTAs starting. People are taking video clips.
15:22It's yesterday. There were some like Titans slow-mo of Cam Ward to Carnell Tate and people are getting all, you know, just let's go.
15:30Let's go. Another thing that happened, JJ, was that there was a clip and it was it was like a Rogers underneath route to Pittman or somebody.
15:38Yeah. Someone noticed that Caleb Johnson was with the ones and boy, did this spread around the, you know, the fantasy football dynasty social media like wildfire.
15:47Yeah. And it shouldn't have because Rico Dowdle and Jalen Warren weren't practicing.
15:51So yeah, Caleb Johnson's probably their RB three. And I think we already knew that, you know, going into this.
15:57So I'm not really, I mean, he's another player where it's gonna be interesting because I don't know how they view Eli Heidenreich.
16:04And what if Eli Heidenreich has a great camp, which I wouldn't be shocked if that happens at all.
16:10He's a he's a great athlete. Yeah. And you know, he's a he's he would he seems like he would be a player that coaches just love.
16:19And so how are they viewing him? You know, like what position is he going to play?
16:24And if they want to carry three, however, I don't like I don't know how they want to approach this.
16:30So I'm not, you know, I it's really funny.
16:33I saw like I saw multiple tweets after the clip went out of saying like, not a bad idea to throw a
16:40fourth round pick Caleb Johnson's way in your rookie draft.
16:43And it's like, guys, first off, if you want to do that, fine.
16:47I think I even wrote about that in the year two part of the of the prospect guide.
16:53But it has nothing to do with this clip.
16:56Nothing. That clip is so beyond irrelevant. I can't even explain.
16:59Yeah. People are just they're just thirsty right now for some some news, some some movements up and down, you know, like the schedule release last week.
17:07This is not on the news list. But what did you think?
17:11I know you're a quarterback on Netflix viewer. What do you think of this year's lineup?
17:16It's pretty good. I'm not as in the court.
17:19I'm not like like I think one time I sent a tweet out that said that it was like overrated or something and I got destroyed.
17:27Oh, my God, I got destroyed. Part of it is because I love I think one of the best.
17:33Best documentaries is the full swing one. The golf one on Netflix.
17:37And, you know, I like golf a lot, but like I'm more of like a casual golf fan where like I get into the majors.
17:45I'll watch some tournaments outside of that. But then I think that golf is cool because you just get to learn these
17:52like individual players and their personalities and stuff. And full swing really allows for that with football.
17:57I don't know. I don't know if it's like I think part of it is that I know football too intimately to
18:04like really fall in love with some of the documentaries that they do.
18:08I like the off the field stuff a lot.
18:11Like I always used to like hard knocks. I just kind of like lost interest as I got more and more into the analysis side of things.
18:19But yeah, the lineup looks good. The lineup. I hear you.
18:22It's got Joe Flacco. Yeah. For, you know, your doppelganger.
18:26Friend of the show. Yeah. It's got Cam Ward who.
18:29Not yet friend of the show. Yeah. No, he's a friend.
18:32Actually, no, he's not a friend. He's family. He's family around here.
18:36And then Baker Mayfield. Who's like a character. Yeah.
18:39You know, he had his own commercials back in the day.
18:42And then Jane Daniels. So I think it's a good lineup.
18:46It's a good lineup for sure. The one Jane Daniels is really interesting because he's always been pretty protective of his like
18:52outside off the field image slash doesn't share a ton seemingly.
18:56Like and so like I think we kind of understand what Baker is.
19:00And, you know, I mean, I guess Cam Ward, we don't know enough yet just because he hasn't been in the league that long in the Flacco.
19:08We just kind of know what we're going to get.
19:12But Jane Daniels is pretty interesting. Okay. I'm glad you said Jane Daniels.
19:16We're just going to go down a few more spots.
19:19Big booty rumors. Hey, Sean Booty. Reportedly, you can get him for a fifth or six.
19:24If the Patriots get their wide receiver, which has been rumored to happen, Booty could go somewhere and make a little bit of a difference.
19:32Yeah. I mean, we were talking about it earlier on discord.
19:35I've been drafting booty in best ball in like the 18th and 19th round because I think there's a chance that we
19:42just like right now, I think is is ADP suppressed because people know that he's going to get traded and they're like,
19:49oh, if a team's letting him and I agree if a team is is willingly letting a wide receiver go like that,
19:56then, you know, why would we want to want to go after that player or like draft that player?
20:02But the one thing you have to keep in mind with players like like booty is that he's certainly not like a
20:08stud and he's entering his fourth year. And so with him entering his fourth year, he's going to be looking for another contract.
20:16And this is the Patriots getting ahead of them having to resign him or just not, you know, not resign him and
20:22them knowing they're getting AJ Brown and them saying, hey, Kayshawn booty, we can get something for him right now when we're
20:29not going to use him that that much next year because Kyle Williams can probably play that field stretching role if need be.
20:37And so we're going to try to get some capital for him right now as opposed to getting nothing for him next
20:43year when he doesn't do that much for us anyway here in 2026.
20:47So I we were talking about this on discord and you brought up the question of like, wait, did he play with Jaden Daniels?
20:55Yeah, he played with Jaden Daniels at LSU. So there is that connection.
20:59That's kind of interesting because I think that if you look at Washington, you know, there's been rumors about Iuke and et cetera.
21:06But if you look at Washington, they have no clear cut boundary wide receiver to right now.
21:12And Antonio Williams, I think, can play the Z.
21:14And I think they've already hyped that up. And, you know, I've drafted him a ton, but there's a lot of question marks about that.
21:22And I think that they would probably be cool with some of that depth.
21:27And you combine that with him. I have no idea what their relationship is like.
21:31Like, we're just making an assumption that it would be some sort of connection.
21:36But there is a an LSU connection between booty and Jaden Daniels.
21:39So I'm not going to be surprised if they like they miss out on like a digs or, you know, if they
21:46if they really want to make a move to improve their wide receiver room, I could see them trading like a sixth
21:53for booty and just have that guy who can play on the outside.
21:57Yeah, he had like a stellar first couple of seasons there at LSU.
22:01And there was rumors of like first, second round draft capital.
22:05And then he had it. Yeah, look, he was a good prospect.
22:08I remember the zap model liked him a lot as a day three pick.
22:13He was an early declare. You know, he had that.
22:16I think his good year was the shortened season.
22:19It was the COVID. It might have been the COVID season.
22:22And so but yeah, he had some between the ears type stuff going on where he just couldn't bring it all together.
22:29And I thought that he like I think that he's a pretty good NFL player.
22:34Like he's not going to like be studly. But I think he's definitely someone who could be in a situation like Washington's.
22:41He could be a wide receiver two or three.
22:43Yeah, absolutely. All right. This is how down bad the cards are right now is that Brissette is holding cards hostage.
22:50What are they going to do there? I think I saw I saw Sigmund Bloom send a tweet that was a friend of the show Sigmund.
22:58And Sig says, has there ever been a worse quarterback holding out?
23:02Yeah. And I think it's true. I don't think that there has been like it's it's crazy.
23:07Like Jacoby Brissette, you know, we loved him for what he did in fantasy and they threw the ball a lot in Arizona.
23:14You guys can listen to the show that I dropped today on sort of what I learned through projections.
23:20I talked a lot about Arizona and how I'm not super bullish on them.
23:25But Brissette last year was like 23rd in EPA per drop back.
23:28You know, like he was not. And that's that's that includes EPA per drop back numbers or like completion percentage over expected and stuff.
23:36Those numbers are looking at are also not really accounting for like garbage time and like easier coverage and stuff like that.
23:43Like the the things that, you know, he took advantage of to a degree, you know, in that system last year.
23:49I just I think it's it's kind of foolish for us to assume that Brissette is any sort of answer.
23:56He could be. I'm just saying from like a range of outcome standpoint is any sort of like real genuine answer.
24:02And then on top of that, that if he does sign that he's going to play the full season, I just I don't.
24:09So from Arizona's perspective, what is the point in giving Jacoby Brissette a huge contract that he might want just simply because
24:16he's a starter when you're you're you know, you have longer vision goals as opposed to 2026.
24:22So it's a really weird situation from that perspective.
24:24Yeah. Yeah. Like Jake one said, let you go.
24:27He said as a cards fan, I won early pick.
24:30Yeah, I know tanking isn't really how the NFL works as a fan.
24:34I say start the worst quarterback. Yeah. And we've talked about this before.
24:38Just see what you have. Right. That's what I'm saying.
24:42They're going to have to. They're going to. Yeah, they're going to probably not be a good team.
24:47They're going to have to see what they have in Carson Beck.
24:51They can't not do that at some point this year.
24:54If they don't, that's just malpractice. That's really bad ownership and coaching, especially because he's an older prospect.
25:00You know, it's not like he's Anthony Richardson, you know, where you're just it's all tools based.
25:05It's like, no, this guy is is a veteran rookie, if you will.
25:09You know, so you want to see what you have so that when you go into the draft the following year, you know exactly what you're working.
25:17Yeah. All right. There was a report that the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McClain.
25:22Saying that the Eagles are going to have a Shanahan McVay influence and.
25:26That the OC is going to have full control of this team.
25:29I mean, yeah. On the Eagles, JJ. Yeah, I like I mean, I talked about Saquon on the podcast today.
25:36You know, Kevin Petulo, I thought was the worst offensive coordinator in football last year.
25:40If you look at the, you know, like every everything that teams do to confuse defenses, it dropped when Kevin Petulo became offensive coordinator last year.
25:48Now, Kellen Moore was their offensive coordinator the year before that, and he's obviously a good coach.
25:54But still, like you look at how they ran RPOs.
25:57You look at how much motion they had, the play action rate.
26:01Everything was now. And then you look at the routes that AJ Brown and Devontae Smith were running.
26:06It was just a bland, vanilla, terrible offense. And in my opinion, I would much rather blame, put the blame on that
26:13change in Kevin Petulo as opposed to saying Saquon Barkley's dust.
26:17Because when I watched Saquon Barkley last year, I don't think that it showed that he was just complete dust.
26:23We were going to see regression for sure from the previous year.
26:27It was almost impossible not to, but I don't think Saquon Barkley is completely done.
26:31You know, any running back can get hurt. It's just the way that the positions played.
26:36And yes, he's getting up there in age a little bit more.
26:40But I think this offense should see a little bit of a turnaround.
26:44And look, the idea that this offense is going to look different.
26:48First off, anyone that compares it to like Shanahan McVay, that's just what every new offense coordinator is going to do and say.
26:55You know, it's like this is another McVay Shanahan system and whatever.
26:59But, you know, they did do things in the draft that point to that possibility.
27:03Makai Lemon, very much a player who can fit that mold, very good out to the catch, you know, and can like
27:10that's why he was linked to the Rams the way that he was.
27:14And then they go out and they get Eli Stowers.
27:17And that signals to me that at least here in 2026, we could see, you know, a little bit of a little
27:24bit more 12 or, you know, get get some versatility in it.
27:28Because Stowers being the tweener, I've said this before.
27:31I think that the movement with heavier personnel that we're seeing, a lot of teams, if I were to sum this up
27:38and almost dumb this down, my thinking about it, is that these teams like the Jags, you know, Gladstone comes out and
27:45he's like, well, this is the meta and teams are going heavier.
27:48So we're going to go heavier too. And we're going to draft these tight ends in this draft.
27:54But they're not thinking about the type of tight ends that work and that makes sense in these sort of in these groupings, right?
28:02Like if you look at what the Rams did last year, they took Terrence Ferguson, who's very much more of a on
28:08the Eli Stowers spectrum than he is the, you know, a blocking tight end spectrum.
28:13And when you look at, you know, them getting Max Clare this year, that was to me more of a future pick
28:20because they have, you know, Colby Parkinson's getting older, Tyler Higbee or Colby Parkinson's a free agent next year, Tyler Higbee getting older.
28:27They're thinking about the future as well. And Clare is more of like an all around just solid, really good tight end.
28:34But I think that what's being missed is the versatility aspect of these tight ends.
28:39You don't just want to get a bunch of Charlie Colars.
28:42I don't know why I would bring him up when everyone knows I can't say his last name.
28:48I don't know why they would, you would get a bunch of him out there when the whole point is that you
28:55can change things at the line and take these, these, these crazy pieces and, and, and use them as chess pieces across the line.
29:02And that's what the Rams did last year. Like I've said a million times, they would come out and they would use
29:09their tight ends in 11 at times, right? Like this is not a simple, just draft tight ends.
29:15And if you have it, you have to use them as chess pieces.
29:19And I think what the Eagles did in the draft pointed to us, this is why I kept saying this in the
29:26podcast pointed to us that they have at least some plan.
29:29Jalen hurts is not thrown to the middle of the field very frequently, but there's clearly a plan to do that a little bit more.
29:37It just brings a little bit more variance for their fantasy profiles, but I think that they're all capable.
29:43I've been a, I think Jalen hurts gets a lot of, of just unnecessary, unnecessary crap from people about his quarterbacking ability, right?
29:50When he has peaked like the super bowl two years ago or the super bowl three years ago, both super bowl games.
29:57He was great. He was fantastic. If we know that's in him, put the pieces around him and he could do very, very well.
30:04So I'm, I'm bullish on the Eagles offense in general.
30:07I've been drafting a lot of Devante Smith. So, okay, let's, let's group these, both these running backs together.
30:13Bucky Irving said he should be ready for training camp.
30:17Um, and cam scataboo said that he should be ready for week one, but scataboo saying it is the, he was talking
30:23about like not being able to, or figuring out how to trust his ankle.
30:28Yeah. That was just such a gross injury. It, I was a little bit concerned about the, uh, the scataboo, uh, clip,
30:35but are you nervous about either of these guys?
30:37I'm trying to stay afloat with scataboo and best ball right now, just to give you guys an idea of where my head's at.
30:45So like I'll draft him, but I'm not trying to be overweight at the moment just because he's going like mid forties right now.
30:52Yeah. Right. And there's, that's such a good wide receiver range.
30:56Right. So it's, it's hard to really, for me to, to be super overweight, the Bucky stuff scares me because there, the,
31:03we didn't even realize that this was as big of a deal as it was until like last week when we talked about it.
31:10And Kenneth Gain was a very capable pass catcher.
31:13Sean Tucker is a very capable early down runner.
31:16And again, I'll say it like Bucky Irving just is scary from the standpoint of like, he could be a between the
31:23twenties kind of player or it's valuable in real football, but it's not as valuable in fantasy football.
31:28And so with the, like the words like should instead of will be, you know, like that scares me that it should be and not will be.
31:37Uh, so I, I, I think, you know, Bucky's been, I don't want to say a total fade for me so far.
31:44I haven't been drafting him that much. I, I, at the very least I'm drafting more Kenneth gain well than I am Bucky Irving right now.
31:52And I have a ton of Sean Tucker for, you know, 19th round picks and stuff.
31:57Um, but, uh, yeah, I mean, that, that's kind of where I stand with Bucky.
32:01It's a, it's a really weird situation. I said it a lot, I think last week too, you know, like he had
32:08the, the, it seemed like mental health related things related to his injury last year.
32:13And I think that that's something that we have to at least consider as well now.
32:18Yeah. Um, we have just a little footnote where a Cowboys beat writer said Malik Davis currently has the edge is running back to.
32:26Yeah. You just had to throw that out cause you're in Malik Davis truther now.
32:30No, no, I'm not a point. David's truth. They're just like, he's the only running back to who does not have like,
32:37who is like being undrafted right now. So I get it.
32:41He's not the best, but that's that I'm just reporting the news.
32:44J I'm we're in our, you, we have your insiders league, which by the way, siege has been on the clock for like 36 hours.
32:52But, uh, Malik day I have two, two guys in queue.
32:56Cause I have one more pick in the sixth round and Malik Davis is one of them because he's one of two people still available.
33:03There you go. Yeah. Uh, all right. Uh, had someone in the chat say Tucker's year.
33:08I would be pleased. Yeah. If you know, you know, yeah.
33:12Stay, stay tuned for that. You know how it's never really about where you're going.
33:16It's about who you're going with. Like destination could be totally average, but if the right people are there, it becomes a great memory.
33:24Toyota really gets that Toyota designs vehicles around real life and real people.
33:28The ones who bring everyone together and somehow make the drive part of the fun.
33:33There's room for all the stuff that comes with togetherness, luggage, golf clubs, camping gear, plus comfortable seating, smart layouts and space that lets everyone relax.
33:41And Toyota's lineup makes it easy to find your match.
33:44When people are the destination, your ride is important.

33:51today's data all right jj we have a lot right here and some people will be listening on the podcast so uh
33:57tell us what tell us what we're looking at yeah i first got to make there's a comment on here that says
34:04jj's yearly gainwell shill which is not wrong i'm a pretty big kind of game well guy uh all right what we're
34:11looking at here is something i alluded to on the podcast about jackson smith and jigba this is looking at year over
34:18year yards per target since 2011 and it's basically showing regression so i'm looking at players who had a minimum 50 targets
34:25in year n so the current year and then year n plus one so what happened the following year if you look
34:32at the metric yards per target the average i looked at all players who had over 10 yards per target in year
34:39n and then showed what they did in year n plus one so of this sample their average was 10.75 their median
34:46was 10.45 they fell on average by about two yards uh per target which is not insignificant that's that's that's a decent
34:52chunk of that those those 10 yards and you can see in the chart if you scroll over a little bit um
34:59you can see in the chart that there's a line that i drew that shows the charts huge it is well you
35:06don't need the individual names you can just show the the so what the chart is showing is that on the on
35:13the x axis you have the yards per target in year n and then the y axis is the yards per target
35:20in year n plus one i drew that dotted line at 10 just to show you how few players are maintaining that
35:27that 10 yards per target uh year over year so and a lot of times you know you get like tyreek hill
35:34multiple times in there because he's obviously a crazy deep threat and an outlier but a lot of times you just get
35:41kind of deep threats like you get the sean jackson you get you know alec pierce i would argue has been that
35:47way throughout his career so far kenny stills is on there uh you know and then a lot of guys are clumped
35:54closer to that 10 but 80 percent of players see a decline you're below that 10 mark uh after that that uh
36:01that initial season so you scroll back to the left you can look at the list for 2026 and it's uh the
36:08guys who were who had 50 targets or more and a yard for target rate above 10 george pickens jameson williams kendrick
36:15bourne friend of the show puka nakua alec pierce luther burden jackson smith and jigwa christian watson and zay flowers i would
36:22expect if you were a betting man you would say that these guys are not going to maintain that high of a
36:29yards per target this season it doesn't mean that they're bad picks it just means that we're going to see probably less
36:36efficient uh uh production from them on a per target basis and they can make up for that with touchdowns they can
36:42make up for it with volume whatever the case may be like i said that with jackson smith and jigwa the difference
36:49with jsn in my opinion and someone like puka nakua is that number one jsn's yards per target was higher than nakua's
36:56last year but also the offensive environment is more conducive for volume for nakua than it is jackson smith and jigwa right
37:03now and that's where the volume side can really come into play and help these guys out so these guys aren't fades
37:10it's just me you know you can find a lot of metrics that random players are going to regress in every year
37:17this is just one of those metrics okay so we should be cautious but not nervous yeah be cautious i mean they're
37:24all good players right like all of these guys i'm i've drafted in best ball this year like yeah you know i
37:31know i'm looking at this and i'm like uh well no like a lot of these guys too like like if you
37:37look at you know uh alec pierce luther burden christian watson all of those guys are going to see an uptick in
37:44volume this year more than likely and so like that's going to combat a lot of this and they could still be
37:51efficient i'm not saying it's it's again it's an 80 thing it's not a hundred percent thing it's not guaranteed that they
37:58see even a drop in that efficiency but um i do think that you should keep in mind that these are the
38:05numbers that that you know in the players that that hit that 10 mark last year all right uh let's get on
38:12to the main event we'll talk about some best ball values the late round main event all right if you've been uh
38:19listening to any of our shows you know that jj is high on chris godwin where he's being drafted at it's a
38:26weird spot to be in where it's just like you're not a chris godwin truther but it's like okay or if he's
38:32gonna fall this far i'm gonna get him that's what it comes down to really like i think i'm like three or
38:39four or five wide receiver spots above where people on draft kings are drafting him right now uh the peripherals were definitely
38:46not there last season but but he also is coming off a brutal injury they rushed him back we knew that because
38:53he then was sidelined again right um so i kind of been looking at last year as yes this could be the
39:00start of just like a breakdown because he might not get back to that pre-injury chris godwin but at the same time
39:07i think people forget about how good he was in 2024 pre-injury in 2024 2.36 yards per outrun almost a 27 target
39:14share and 19.7 ppr points per game he was a league winning player that year like he was awesome and then now
39:21you look at zach robinson being in town uh i'm intrigued by godwin potentially playing like a slot role for them because
39:27that's been a pretty good uh position to play within this offensive environment uh and i think that he can play in
39:34two wide receiver sets too because jaylen mcmillan well i think he'll be rotated in and out i don't think that's a
39:41lock ted hurst you know the the stuff that people have been talking about about him playing x we talked about last
39:48week which by the way i i said that last week and then i saw tweets after the fact that it's true
39:55that it wasn't to say that ted hurst is playing the x right away it's that that's what they're training him to
40:02do for that office right but there's a quote from zach robinson about godwin that says you know i mean this is
40:09just coach speak but it's still interesting the way he plays the game exemplifies exactly what we want to be as an
40:16offense is what he said which is can't be a bad thing for for godwin so right now he's going behind michael
40:22wilson and courtland sutton for instance i would draft him over both of those players i think godwin's a better pick than
40:29both those guys all right another guy that we're high on and and if the quarterback play improves any yeah you would
40:36think that nico collins would be a tremendous value this year i just think collins is a really clean profile and maybe
40:43there's like an unsexiness to it that people are just like not interested and they're pushing him to round three pretty consistently
40:50but last year he had a bad week one and i think that people were like anchored to that because nico collins
40:57finished with 15.8 ppr points per game after that point and he ranked as the wide receiver 10 in ppr points per
41:04game in fantasy football like he was not bad last year he once again had a really strong yards per route run
41:11um last year it was 2.35 which is the lowest of his last three years which is crazy because it's a really
41:17high number his catchable targets last year 65 the two years prior 74 and 77 so i think we might see a
41:24little bit of regression there there are reports of the texans wanting to use a little bit more 12 and 13 personnel
41:31which could funnel more targets to nico who's not going to come off the field i just think it's a very clean
41:38profile overall and uh i you know i i think he belongs in the discussion after like when chase brown gets drafted
41:45let's say a best ball like he he's i i think nico college is a good strong value right now yeah and
41:52in the best ball world sometimes you you get uh you know some of the quarterbacks get drafted before you can pair
41:59them with a guy is very easy to pair nico collins with cj stroud because cj stroud is is down there pretty
42:06far all right next let's get to the meat of this it's the los angeles chargers offense i'm just in if you
42:12guys listen to today's episode you know that i'm in this includes lad mconkey justin herbert keaton mitchell trey harris is a
42:1919th 20th round you know dark throw quentin johnson i think is fine uh i i think i think qj is a
42:26better pick without factoring in cost than trey harris for sure he projects way better than harris does but it's just that
42:33harris is really really cheap but mike mcdaniel he's more efficient as a coordinator and coach than greg roman's ever been there's
42:40a there's going to be more uh pass attempts more than likely his pass rate over expected has been about three to
42:47four points higher than greg romans when greg roman if you only look at greg roman's tenure as the chargers offensive coordinator
42:54if you were to go further back he was even more run heavy before uh mike mcdaniel likes to scheme open his
43:01wide receivers uh he was first in motion in three or four years in miami second in the one year that he
43:07wasn't in first joe out rashawn slater are going to be back that's huge for that offensive line i talked about that
43:14on the show where joe alt when he played justin herbert averaged almost 22 standard fantasy points per game when he didn't
43:21play he was under 17 like there's a dramatic split with and without joe alt and we saw that like justin herbert's
43:28pressure rate was the worst of his career uh or at least when you when you compare the last two years it
43:35was 10 percentage points lower in the same offense uh last season and i think it largely had to do with the
43:42offensive line even though quarterbacks do um you know are at fault for a lot of the quarterback pressure stats that we
43:49look at uh we're likely going to see fewer like like not a lot of 11 personnel because that's mike mcdaniel's mo
43:56and so that means that fewer wide receivers on the field that's going to help lad mcconkey potentially see a better target
44:02share in that offense because i think he's the best wide receiver on that team and then keaton mitchell a great fit
44:09for mike mcdaniel he loves those fast running backs uh and and you know he did it with devon h and as
44:16an undersatting keaton mitchell's not devon h and so don't don't take that the wrong way you're calling the uh most uh
44:23a-chan combo this this year for the chargers i mean we could see something like that to a degree yeah where like
44:30keaton mitchell is the the h and and most are you know and marion hampton scores 17 touchdowns like most are did
44:37the one year if things like really go the right way um i'm not targeting hampton as much as you might think
44:44given all the the bullish nature that i i feel about the chargers offense only because there's a lot of good players
44:51being drafted around hampton and i prefer chase brown over hampton which i'll get to in a second um and so like
44:57i'm not like going crazy with amari and hampton with that being said i think he's a fine pick because i want
45:04to get pieces of this offense okay uh you've mentioned chase brown a few times he's next on this list and there's
45:11this like running back clump at the you know that second round end of the first round and and he's kind of
45:18in that mix yeah but the problem is that like he'll often go late second when i think he belongs belongs firmly
45:25in that early second range like he belongs with the saquon barkley's of the world uh from a fantasy perspective because last
45:32year 70 of the team's running back rushes 14 and a half percent of the team's targets in a good offense and
45:39in an offense that hasn't changed year over year like we have stability within the bangles offense we know that there's a
45:46likely chance they're going to still use chase brown in really favorable ways he was the rb6 in games without jake browning
45:52last year 19.4 ppr points per game i'm currently taking chase brown ahead of kenneth walker and amari and hampton when adp
45:59does not show that wow okay um all right next f1 terry mclorne so someone said i'm reading comments because that's what
46:06this show's all about right sure i'm seeing jj i love your take and agree on the chargers i see it seems
46:13too many analysts copy and paste data from last year and projected to 2026 one guy had chargers ranked 20th yeah i
46:20mean i i think that's a very real and fair thing to call out about like looking at how these offenses might
46:27operate year over year and i think with the chargers in particular greg roman had a pretty outdated style though he he
46:34was more pass heavy than we expected generally with the chargers but it's not an offense that really like got should get
46:41anyone excited and anyone who watched football last year you saw how bad that offense turned when the offensive line injuries really
46:47hit like the alt injury especially so that's part of the reason why and then i'm just i think mike mcdaniel's a
46:54really good coach and he knows what he's doing so i'm i'm bullish from that perspective and and you know like me
47:01saying that i'm drafting trey harris a little bit more than qj i'm still drafting qj because i think there's a chance
47:08that qj sees more of those like one wide receiver set two wide receiver set snaps than we would expect so all
47:15of them are in play like i'm just saying blanket i'm drafting the chargers okay and we should also just preface a
47:22lot of this with this is best ball values so these are guys that you're taking you know we often say better
47:29in best ball because these are guys that you wouldn't spend the draft capital in your fantasy draft but they might have
47:36these spike weeks you want to expand on that just a little bit yeah i mean like there are times where you
47:42know in best ball where in the eighth to twelfth round i'm getting a floor play instead of a ceiling like people
47:49think about ceiling i think improperly with best ball because they think only about they think only about the spike tweaks but
47:56you just need production from everyone whereas in season long i'm only swinging for upside i'm only swinging for the season long
48:03upside in my draft because if they don't pan out and i drafted them in the eighth round it does not matter
48:10right whereas i'm balancing that a little bit more in best ball where like in best ball like part of the reason
48:17why i like sean tucker who i'm going to talk about later we can just get to him right now if you
48:24want to but part of the reason why i like sean tucker i'll just talk about it now number one he has
48:31contingent upside with both of the running backs that are there right where you have kenneth gainwell and bucky irving one of
48:37them goes down that's more work for sean tucker uh last year he led the backfield and rushing yards over expected way
48:44better than bucky irving he was better than bucky in yards after contact per attempt but he still i think is going
48:51to play some role and when you get to the 19th round i don't really only want handcuff type running backs that
48:58have the only that contingent upside i want players who could give me a week a usable week even without any injuries
49:05happening in their backfield and so that's sort of the the mindset that you need to have with best balls that you're
49:12trying to get production from literally every spot that you draft you know how it's never really about where you're going it's
49:19about who you're going with like destination could be totally average but if the right people are there it becomes a great
49:26memory toyota really gets that toyota designs vehicles around real life and real people the ones who bring everyone together and somehow
49:32make the drive part of the fun there's room for all the stuff that comes with togetherness luggage golf clubs camping gear
49:39plus comfortable seating smart layouts and space that lets everyone relax and toyota's lineup makes it easy to find your match the
49:46rav4 is perfect for everyday adventures the grand highlander brings serious space for up to eight with generous legroom and expansive cargo
49:53space the highlander also has space for up to eight it's ready for big moments and spontaneous ones balancing style and flexibility
50:00and the sienna is built for everyday life carpools road trips snacks spills and it even has a built-in vacuum for when
50:07things get a little too messy because when people are the destination your ride is important learn more at toyota.com and find
50:14the vehicle that fits your people okay let's get back up to terry mclaurin now okay so mclaurin i talked about him
50:21a lot on the show uh that dropped today as well he had a career high 2.22 yards per hour run last
50:27year which is shocking because of the quarterback play and the situation he was in 23 percent targets per hour run was
50:34also a career high for him uh and that was on a 43rd percentile catchable targets rate so i thought mclaurin had
50:41a good year when he was healthy uh he only reached a 25 percent target share once in his career that's kind
50:48of alarming but you look at what david blouse said that he wants to do and giving terry mclaurin 10 targets per
50:55game that the offense is going to revolve around him i believe it because look at what else is there right like
51:02i i have honorable mentions for chica conco and antonio williams because i think that they're both a little bit undervalued right
51:09now but they are not secure staples in an offense at the moment like we don't know exactly what they would look
51:16like in this offense or how much volume they'll take on or what antonio williams specifically can even do at the nfl
51:22level and so you look at that depth chart right now terry mclaurin could easily be a top 15 top 12 wide
51:29receiver this year given jay daniels is back david blouse offensive coordinator now you know i mentioned this on the show that
51:36he's saying the right things at least we don't know for sure i mean we're just kind of we're we're trying to
51:43guess what these guys are but we you know we talked to josh johnson about this at uh radio row at the
51:50super bowl this year when we interviewed him and i i brought up that like a lot of these backup quarterbacks are
51:57becoming offensive coordinators and you know why like did josh johnson think that that was happening because backup quarterbacks need to just
52:04know so much about the game and they're not necessarily like in the game doing it because they don't have the ability
52:11to necessarily be that guy but they just understand the game at such a deep level and that's why they're getting promoted
52:17so quickly and that's why they're getting the love that they're getting and he agreed and he was very high himself on
52:24david blau if you remember like he he he loved the idea of him coordinating this offense so look that's all you
52:31know coach speak type stuff and just stuff that's more subjective but um i'm bullish on like what this could generally look
52:38like for the washington offense uh and terry mclaurin in particular jj seems like the landscape for best ball changes every year
52:45and this often kind of um sets the stage for season long and a lot of running backs going early a lot
52:52of running backs going early and so sometimes if you have to draft those running backs you need more wide receiver production
52:59these two guys fit that bill with josh downs and jayden reed yeah look i'm just gonna bring them up because i've
53:06been talking about them on every show it feels like i the way i said it on the projection show is that
53:12their projection is showing like top 50 type wide receivers but that's assuming a slot role okay jayden reed is in an
53:19offense now that doesn't have a lot of depth at wide receiver after they're three and matthew golden and christian watson are
53:26hypothetically you know ahead of him in two wide receiver sets let's say let's just assume matthew golden didn't show us that
53:33much last year so we know what that's gonna look like i am drafting matthew golden right now in redraft i don't
53:40think that he's a dynasty buy i think the opposite because i'm worried about his profile and i was worried about his
53:47profile last year but in redraft the cost to acquire is completely different and it's it's fine as a double digit round
53:54pick christian watson's been hurt a lot throughout his career like i thought he looked really good last year but you know
54:01there's there's a lot of question marks about him as well and so jayden reed has a path to just naturally get
54:07out there more on the outside compared to how he's he's typically played with green bay and then there's injury outs for
54:14him too so and that's in an offense that matt lafleur's offense i've said this too tops top half of the league
54:21and touchdowns per game every year that he's been head coach i think it's a good offense good situation i'll throw that
54:28dart with jayden reed because he can even give you a spiked week with still playing the same role that he's playing
54:35you know that the same slot role josh downs is a good football player really good prospect in the zap model has
54:42been just completely stapled to the slot throughout his nfl career now he's only competing with nick westbrook akine for two wide
54:49receiver set um snaps so i think josh downs is very very interesting as well i'm drafting both of them i think
54:56they're good picks and that's the last time i'll talk about him for a little bit i promise all right we already
55:02talked about sean tucker so let's talk about a guy who um he got shot shot ricky pearsall that's right that's right
55:09ricky pearsall uh he is in one of the most efficient offenses in football brock purdy pearsall goes late man like he's
55:16yeah way past wide receiver 40 i think at this point right yeah um but he's in one of the most efficient
55:23offenses in football brock purdy consistently because of the offense he's in i mean he's good too i i like purdy i'm
55:30just saying that the offense helps him have these like unsustainable touchdown rates uh pearsall actually had a 1.85 yards per route
55:37run rate last year it's actually pretty strong juwan jennings is gone kendrick born is gone george kittles banged up their wide
55:44receiver one is mike evans who consistently has had some trouble staying on the field himself mike feels like mike evans is
55:51bound to have a hamstring injury right he does it's like every year with with evans and so and not only that
55:57but last year he was the best wide receiver on san francisco and catch rate over expected uh pearsall was so and
56:04then you know design shriveling i'm not expecting the world from him in year one i think he's more of the jennings
56:11replacement and he's not going to be able to command as much of a target share as jennings would so i don't
56:18know man i'm just kind of hitching my wagons to a to a uh a good offense here and saying that ricky
56:25pearsall is not a bad player he had pretty good efficiency last year and it's in an offense that should score a
56:32lot of points yeah i got him uh this morning in the 10th round so you you know thinking about all day
56:39yeah all day okay another guy that we've been high on aaron jones this is a good example of best ball versus
56:46season long i'm not going to draft aaron jones in season long i just i don't need to do that because i
56:52don't think that he has top 15 upside in fan in in a season-long league across the entire season but he's a
56:59player who i think can very much in a full ppr environment outperform where he gets drafted right now jordan mason is
57:06better on the ground okay he's going to probably see more work on the ground than aaron jones like a 60 40
57:1365 35 type split potentially he still has never seen more than a five percent target share in a single season his
57:20yards per route run has never been above one it was bad again last season and then i talked about on the
57:27show on the podcast minnesota had an outlier season last year in terms of how efficient they were under under kevin o'connell
57:34like it was just a completely different year than any other season why do you think that was well it's probably because
57:41they had jj mccarthy under center they didn't have good quarterback play now they get kyler murray who there's at least some
57:47hope will be better aaron jones though last year had a 14 target share like jones was still involved as a receiver
57:54because he's a good receiver and so to me this offense should be improved they should be a lot you know before
58:01last year they were consistently top half in the league in epa per drop back so the team should be improved aaron
58:08jones is probably going to be playing the pass catching role they drafted damon claiborne who profiles more as that for sure
58:15but claiborne's undersized i didn't think he was like a dominant prospect and he's one of those guys that isn't going to
58:22command a lot of work and like volume but he's a player who can break off a big play and and work
58:29that way right and so i think aaron jones is still going to be heavily involved in this offense and you can
58:36get him very very late is he someone that i'm going to get in season long though probably not because i don't
58:42think that the true season long upside is there spiked weeks you know just getting some production if you punt running back
58:49or something sure but um you know in season long i'm looking for more of that like weekly setting my lineup type
58:56upside all right you got some guys on the honorable mentions if you want to quickly go through yeah quickly tyler warren
59:03i think could see a lot of volume in the offense i've been drafting more and more i've been becoming more and
59:10more bullish on colson loveland too um and in best ball and season long all that i've obviously been very high if
59:17you look at my dynasty rankings you know throughout the offseason with loveland kyle manunga and blake quorum again guys that i'm
59:24probably not going to be super bullish on in season long like i'll maybe draft them a little bit but not in
59:31managed season long these players are flex at best they need the injury to happen to really be unlocked but there's going
59:37to be spiked weeks every once in a while and we can use that on our on our best ball teams then
59:44obviously there is that contingent upside tyler shuck who i think i'm probably going to be in on in season long just
59:51the new weapons good environment rushing upside and then i have matthew golden on here i mean technically my rankings show that
59:58matthew golden is is a value in best ball right now just because of the stuff that i talked about earlier with
60:05jayden reed and uh you know the lack of like depth and what we're going to see probably less of a rotation
60:12for those wide receivers in green bay he had a touchdown in the playoffs just to tease us yeah those that took
60:19them earlier so maybe just maybe that will happen all right good stuff jj let's wrap this up all right it's time
