Ashton Jeanty

NegativeInjury7:09

Ashton Jeanty suffered an ankle sprain, but it appears to have avoided a season-ending catastrophe. Matt Harmon suggests moving him down to the early third-round range, noting that while he remains a fan of Jeanty's potential, the injury provides an excuse to prioritize more stable offensive ecosystems like Kenneth Walker or Derrick Henry.

Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveValue48:21

Bo Nix is described as being 'weirdly underdrafted' at QB14/QB12. He benefits from a strong offensive-minded coach, a high volume of pass attempts, and rushing upside, making him a great late-round quarterback target.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveValue40:19

Matt Harmon notes that Carnell Tate is doing a great job keeping his ADP low, making him an undervalued asset for fantasy managers who want to capitalize on his current market discount.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveValue57:49

Andy Holloway highlights Chris Godwin as an undervalued veteran who is back in a system that suits his strengths. Despite injury concerns from last year, he is expected to be a consistent target and a reliable flex option in full PPR leagues.

Insight page
PositiveValue59:55

Despite a poor film chart last year, Matt Harmon remains bullish on Godwin at his 97th overall ADP. Harmon attributes the poor performance to injury and notes reports of regained explosiveness. He projects a Keenan Allen-esque season with 80 catches and 700-800 yards, making him a strong value pick in an excellent Tampa Bay offense.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveValue30:51

Mike identifies D'Andre Swift as an absolute steal at his current RB20 ADP. Despite past skepticism, Swift is now in a high-powered Bears offense with a significantly improved offensive line, making him a primary back who should outperform his draft position.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeRole3:36

Despite poor preseason performance and lack of self-awareness, the Browns have named Deshaun Watson the Week 1 starter. Matt Harmon and Mike Wright express skepticism about his long-term viability, noting he was outplayed by Dorian Thompson-Robinson (referred to as Shador Sanders in transcript) and faces a difficult early schedule against Jacksonville and Tampa Bay.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

PositiveValue44:16

Matt Harmon and the analysts view J.K. Dobbins as a 'free running back square' and a solid RB2/RB3 candidate. Despite injury concerns, he is the primary starter in a strong Sean Payton offense and is expected to provide consistent double-digit fantasy production.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveValue25:38

Andy suggests Jadarian Price (ADP 65, RB26/27) should be pushed up draft boards. Price is showing elite vision and increased usage in the passing game during training camp, making him a strong candidate to outperform his current ADP in a high-powered Seattle offense.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection65:57

Justin Boone identifies Jalen Hurts as a league winner, citing a favorable early-season schedule (Commanders, Titans, Bears) and a new offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion, who plans to modernize the offense and restore Hurts' rushing usage. Boone notes that even in a down year, Hurts' rushing floor remains high, and he projects a return to his previous elite production levels.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveBreakout35:09

Jason argues Jameson Williams should be drafted higher than his current 67th overall ADP. Williams finished as a top-10 WR in half-PPR last year from the point Dan Campbell took over play-calling, and he is poised for a breakout as the WR2 in a potent Lions offense.

Insight page

Jauan Jennings

PositiveRole41:57

Matt Harmon highlights Jauan Jennings as a 'coaches pet' who blocks well and makes plays with the ball in his hands. While his college profile is limited, he is expected to see significant usage and burn in the 49ers offense this year.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveBreakout78:54

Matt Harmon and Justin Boone both view Jalen Waddle as a potential league winner. Harmon has been high on Waddle since the Broncos trade, noting his critical role in the offense. Boone confirms that industry sentiment has shifted positively toward Waddle, aligning with Harmon's high ranking of the receiver.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveValue72:52

Justin Boone ranks Jonathan Taylor as a top-tier running back, preferring him over Christian McCaffrey due to injury and workload concerns surrounding the latter. Taylor benefits from a top-10 offensive line and a projected increase in passing game involvement following the departure of Michael Pittman. Boone highlights Taylor's elite production when Daniel Jones is healthy.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

PositiveSleeper18:54

Jason Moore identifies Jordan Mason as a major value in the 10th round (RB38). Moore asserts that Mason is the definitive starter in the Vikings' new vertical wide-zone scheme, which mirrors the 49ers' system where Mason previously thrived. Moore expects Mason to be a weekly starter in 12-team leagues.

Insight page
PositiveValue19:59

Matt Harmon views Jordan Mason as a high-value depth piece in the 10th round (RB38). With a scheme fit under Kevin O'Connell and an aging Aaron Jones, Mason is expected to be a weekly starter in 12-team leagues.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveValue55:12

Jason suggests punting the tight end position and targeting Juwan Johnson, who is essentially undrafted. He is expected to be the number two target in his offense and can provide production comparable to higher-drafted tight ends.

Insight page

Kayshon Boutte

PositiveDepth Chart10:12

Kayshon Boutte was traded to the Houston Texans, a move viewed as beneficial for all parties. Jason Moore notes it provides a necessary outside receiver for C.J. Stroud, while Mike Wright questions how his deep-threat skill set will integrate with Nico Collins' established role. Overall, it is seen as a positive development for the Texans' offense.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveValue14:37

Mike Wright argues that Kenneth Walker is being undervalued at his current ADP of 14th overall. Wright believes Walker should be a first-round pick, comparing his potential role in the Chiefs' offense to Kareem Hunt's bell-cow usage under Andy Reid. Wright dismisses injury concerns as unwarranted, noting Walker's efficiency and ability to score from anywhere.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout75:50

Justin Boone includes Kenneth Walker as a league winner, noting his strong finish to last season (128.5 scrimmage yards per game over the final six games). Now with the Chiefs, Walker is expected to serve as a workhorse back with significant passing game involvement. Boone emphasizes his explosive run rate and potential for a career year.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeProjection20:49

The analysts express tempered expectations for Kyler Murray, citing concerns about his post-injury pocket presence, willingness to step up, and lower aDOT. While he could support a top receiver, there is skepticism regarding his ability to lead a high-powered offense.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveProjection12:17

Matt Harmon highlights Nico Collins as a potential WR1 overall, noting his elite efficiency on deep dig routes. Despite the addition of Kayshon Boutte, Harmon believes Collins remains a high-end target in the second round and suggests that even a 10% increase in formation versatility would be a massive improvement for his fantasy ceiling.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveValue52:06

Andy Holloway argues Rhamondre Stevenson is a massive value at his current RB31 ADP. Reports indicate he is superior to his competition in all facets, and he is expected to be the primary back for the Patriots this season.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

PositiveValue40:30

Matt Harmon identifies Ricky Pearsall as an easy pick at a huge discount, noting he is a talented, big-bodied receiver who has checked every box in the preseason and has the potential to be a WR1 on his team.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

PositiveValue12:48

Matt Harmon is drafting Romeo Doubs 13 spots ahead of his current ADP. Harmon argues that Doubs is unlikely to be the primary X receiver in the Patriots' offense, which will allow him to be moved around the formation to exploit favorable matchups.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveInjury36:49

Sam LaPorta is dealing with a hip injury that may be a complication from previous surgery, creating potential target share opportunities for teammates like Jameson Williams when he is sidelined.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury28:41

The analysts express uncertainty regarding Zach Charbonnet's injury status and recovery timeline, questioning his availability for the start of the season.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveProjection53:12

Mike Wright and Matt Harmon view Zay Flowers as an elite talent with a rising target share (29% last year). With a new offensive scheme, there is potential for him to reach 8-10 touchdowns, making him a steal outside the top 12 wide receivers.

0:00Big show for you here today. That's right. It is a fantastic, a banger of an episode for you.
0:06Mike Wright, Jason Moore, Andy Holloway of the Fantasy Footballers joined me to go over the 12 Yahoo ADPs that are incorrect right now.
0:13That is right. They've got 12 players that they think need to be going much, much higher in Yahoo Drafts right now.
0:19We've got running backs. We've got some wide receivers.
0:22We've got a quarterback somewhere along the way here.
0:25Also, we get into the Deshaun Watson news, the Ashton Gentry news, Kayshawn Booty traded to the Houston Texans.
0:30Oh, by the way, that's not all because Justin Boone joins me at the end of the program to go over his league winners.
0:37That's right. Who are the players that are going to bring home some titles for you fantasy players out there?
0:43All that and more come up on today's show.
0:46Let's get into it. What's going on, everyone? I'm Matt Harmon.
0:49Welcome to the Yahoo Fantasy Forecast, and it is a hell of a day to talk ball.
0:54And I always say it's a hell of a day to talk ball, but today truly is.
0:59It's one hell of a day to talk ball because it's a big show.
1:04And I always say it's a big show, but today it's the biggest of shows because later on in the show, Justin
1:10Boone is going to be joining me, of course, as he always does here on Mondays.
1:15But before that, what a treat to welcome to the show the fantasy footballers themselves.
1:19We've got Mike Wright. We've got Jason Moore and surprising me today because yesterday I didn't tease that he was going to be on the show.
1:27Andy Holloway is like, listen, we're going on a Harmon show.
1:30There's no way I'm sitting this one out. Boys, it is good to see you guys again.
1:35I just hung out with you guys a ton at the Fantasy Football Expo last month, and here you are gracing me with your presence.
1:43I am just thrilled to be talking with you guys today.
1:46It is most definitely August, and we are happy to be here.
1:50Andy, Mike, Jason, that's all you got? That's it.
1:52We're bringing high energy to this show today. It is August.
1:55Well, I expected you guys to just come alongside me.
1:58Yeah, but what you said was so boring. It's nice to be able to return the favor.
2:03Harmon was on our show back when we were in a bedroom.
2:07And so, yeah, it's been a long relationship here.
2:10That's all you got? It has, and a good relationship, by the way, too.
2:14A good relationship, not just a long one, but a good relationship.
2:17No, for those unfamiliar with our long-term relationship, I used to work with these guys doing reception perception in the Ultimate Draft Kit.
2:24It was a hell of a partnership for a long time, and these guys are still absolutely crushing it without me.
2:31And things are going okay on my end as well.
2:33So, listen, what's up is up. We lost them in free agency.
2:37Yeah. Lost them in free agency. What can you do?
2:40What can you do? But things are going well for all of us involved here.
2:44And this is going to be a great show today because these guys are going to tell us what's wrong with current Yahoo ADP.
2:52They've each got some players that they think need to be going higher than they are currently on the Yahoo platform.
2:58So, we're going to take that feedback, and you guys are going to bump all of these players up your board.
3:04We got a ton to get into there. But before we do that, we got a little bit of fantasy fallout today.
3:11We got three news items to hit, boys, before we jump into these ADPs that need adjusting.
3:16First of all, Deshaun Watson has been named quarterback.
3:18Oh, boy. Week one starter after I said yesterday he was probably never going to take another snap with the team after
3:25the conference, the press conference, where he basically had the self-awareness of a potato.
3:29Tough scene. He has more self-awareness than the Browns do.
3:32I mean, that's what's crazy is like he has no self-awareness.
3:35But the Browns are like, did you not read the situation?
3:38No one wants him there. The fans don't want him there.
3:42He doesn't want to be there for the fans.
3:44And then to just the icing on the cake, he gets outplayed by Shadour Sanders in preseason.
3:49Looks terrible. And then they're like, hey, guys. Hey, guys.
3:52It's time to name the starter. Watson. What? Fantastic timing by the Cleveland Browns.
3:57Yeah, no question about that. Here's the reality, guys.
3:59I feel like what this tells us is that they were going to do this no matter what.
4:05Like there was no real competition. They were going to roll this out there.
4:09Shadour Sanders is going to be the backup. Watson is going to start week one.
4:13I would say, though, first two weeks, Jacksonville Jaguars away game.
4:16Tampa Buccaneers away game. Week three, they're home against the Carolina Panthers.
4:20Do any of you three, Mike, I'll ask you.
4:23Do you think there's any way that Watson is still starting for this team by week three when they come in at home against the Panthers?
4:30I don't mind that theory. The problem I had is I was with you of there's there's a zero percent chance that
4:37Sean Watson's going to start ever again for the Cleveland Browns after the multiple what Achilles injuries.
4:42It was like you kind of got a the Browns were you don't want anyone to get hurt.
4:47So that's not what I'm saying. But it's like the situation was was handed to you.
4:52You can get out. You made a horrible mistake.
4:55You made a horrible PR mistake. You made a horrible football decision.
4:58As it turns out, you destroyed your team. You burned all your picks.
5:02And then your cap has been destroyed by this guy.
5:05Like you had an out. You could have just said we're going to put him like at the back of the bench.
5:12We need to try something new. We need to see if she do or it could be the future.
5:17It was right there. So the fact that they decided to even go week one week of of Watson at at the
5:24start when the other guys are healthy, it blew my mind.
5:27Week three, I think I expect Watson will be starting for this team for the for the foreseeable future.
5:33It won't be the entire season. We know that.
5:35But I don't know. That'll be that'll be a crazy, crazy game if he flops the first two on the road.
5:42Yes. To run him out there in front of the home crowd.
5:45That's I mean, they have a path to the number one regardless of their starter.
5:50But man, that will be. That's just I mean, this is the bed they made, I guess.
5:55I mean, we you didn't have to do that.
5:57Cleveland, you didn't have you didn't have to. But here we are.
6:01Pretty outrageous, by the way, that the Browns spent the 94th overall pick on a quarterback last year.
6:06And there has been zero point zero buzz on Dylan Gabriel, even making a dent in what is one of the more
6:13pathetic quarterback battles I can remember in recent history.
6:16So things are going great in Cleveland. I do love the fact that Casey Concepcion is one of my favorite receiver prospects
6:22to come into the league for the last few years.
6:25And I've got to, like, convince myself that now we just got to get Shador Sanders in there by week three and then things will be all right.
6:33That will fix it. Yeah, I'm in the coping corner and it's not even week one, boys.
6:38So that's a tough spot here. Justin Jefferson last year without good quarterback play.
6:43I mean, it's going to be it's going to be tough.
6:46Concepcion looks awesome. Love him. I'm completely with you.
6:48I'm like, I really want to be in. But then you just have to go shoot.
6:53It's a he still has to catch balls that are thrown to him.
6:57And it's probably not going to be thrown to him.
7:00Well, well, at least he won't be running routes very far downfield.
7:04So there's there's the coping going even further. Speaking of the coping corner, I think we avoided a situation where Ashton Jenty
7:10drafters have to be thrown into the coping corner here because this news broke quite literally with about five minutes left in
7:17the show last night with Scott Pianowski and I talking about this.
7:20So we did not have a full reaction to the Ashton Jenty news.
7:24It was, you know, 530 p.m. yesterday. It felt pretty dire.
7:27Honestly, we got off kind of the best situation possible here.
7:31It looks like Ashton Jenty only has a sprained ankle coming out of the practice injury from Sunday.
7:36Now, to be fair, we don't know how high this sprained ankle is, which is obviously the the concern that does matter, Mike.
7:43However, it looks like we've avoided like a season ending catastrophic injury for Ashton Jenty.
7:47So, Andy, I'll start with you here. If you're drafting a team right now today, where does Ashton Jenty fall in your rankings?
7:54What are you doing with Mike Washington? Reaction to this news here of the Raiders backfield.
7:59It was absolutely insane yesterday because people were in the middle of their drafts trying to hedge.
8:04We were sitting here with our rankings going like how you don't pull them necessarily off the board without conclusive news, but
8:10we don't necessarily want to have people drafting him in the exact same spot.
8:15So it was it was a tough situation. I'm in a draft today in an FFT open draft.
8:20I was sitting there in the late second round.
8:23Jenty was on the board and I took him.
8:25I took Jenty at that spot. I felt like it was worth it.
8:29You know, whether it lingers a week or two into the year, I feel like the value on him late second.
8:35I felt like it was worth it. You know, if I get Mike Washington later, I mean, maybe I think about that.
8:42But at this point, I think we just avoided one of the worst injuries on one of the worst draft day situations.
8:48And, you know, the alarm that was going out on Twitter, all the unverified reports of what happened and us trying to
8:55draw conclusions from them turning the music on the boombox off at practice.
8:59I mean, I mean, this is what it is now in fantasy.
9:02We got to react and we got to react quick.
9:05But, you know, I know there were some people that made trades probably on the first bit of news and drafted Mike Washington very high.
9:13But as of right now, I think we're all breathing a sigh of relief.
9:17As long as that like high ankle sprain doesn't go so high that it becomes like a knee.
9:22I think we're going to be OK. I think that would be ideal.
9:26I will say just, yeah, for me personally, I dropped Gentie behind guys I honestly kind of wanted to drop behind anyways.
9:33Kenneth Walker, Derek Henry. I was like kind of looking as Scott and I were talking about this at the beginning of yesterday's episode.
9:40I'm kind of looking for a reason to boost those guys.
9:43Like, I think I felt a little more confident in those offensive ecosystems anyways, even though I'm really a big fan of
9:50what Gentie can be for the Raiders. This sort of gives you an excuse to push him down.
9:55I think the right move is into that maybe early third round range for me.
9:59Late second, I think, is appropriate for the Ashton Gentie fall after the injury.
10:04But, yeah, I think we've avoided the worst case scenario here.
10:07Last piece of news to get to before we jump into our exercise of the day.
10:12Kayshawn Booty traded to the Houston Texans for a 2028 seventh round pick and Jalen Reed safety there.
10:17I think this one makes a lot of sense.
10:20Obviously, losing Jaden Higgins was a huge bummer last week for the Houston Texans for the season.
10:25They needed a starting outside receiver. Jason, thoughts on Kayshawn Booty getting sent to the Houston Texans?
10:30I mean, I think it's one of those trades that's good for literally everyone.
10:34Might not be good for the Patriots as a team, but from a fantasy football perspective, it opens up pathways.
10:40One, it's good for Stroud. I think, you know, this was a real problem if you only have Nico and then the hope of Tank Dell.
10:47You needed another wide receiver. Booty's good. He's a good wide receiver.
10:51So, I think he's going to make an impact on this team.
10:55Whether or not he is very fantasy relevant on his own, you know, I imagine he's more of like a flex option.
11:01But then if you look at the Patriots side, you've got things opened up a little bit more clear path for Kyle Williams.
11:08Romeo Dobbs, who gets absolutely no, I mean, just crickets around him.
11:11He's going to be a relevant player. A relevant player.
11:14So, you know, this and it doesn't I don't think the loss here is enough with with the weapons they have to hurt Drake May.
11:22So similar to the DJ more to, you know, the bills.
11:25I think this is just one of those trades that every single fantasy asset is an arrow up.
11:30Mike, any different opinion there? No, I'm curious how he's going to fit in.
11:35You know, the majority of the stuff we saw from that booty was asked to do for the Patriots is like, you
11:41know, get downfield, be a deep threat. And it's like, just how is that going to work with the where Nico really succeeds?
11:48You know, I just when I watch Nico, I just feel like his, you know, the dig route or like that in
11:55that the deep in route is just like he just destroys people with that going on.
11:59So it's how will that fit? Well, is booty a complete enough player that he can slip into what the Texans actually need from him?
12:07So some questions, but I'm overall I'm with Jason.
12:09It's like this is it's just it's great. It's great news for for everybody involved.
12:14Yeah, I'll go ahead and back you up there on the deep dig routes being the strength of Nico Collins game.
12:20That's been something that's like just stood out with him ever since he really broke onto the scene here in 2023, especially.
12:27I mean, he was always a good player, kind of an underrated player, in my opinion, before he really broke out in 2023.
12:33But that's really been the strength of his game the last three years.
12:37And I think what's interesting is Kayshawn Booty kind of was a little bit of a sacrificial X receiver for the New England Patriots last year.
12:45And then, you know, Jason, you brought this up.
12:48I'm 13 spots ahead of ADP on Romeo Dobbs even before this trade happened, because I think there's almost no way that
12:54Dobbs lines up as the primary X receiver on this Patriots offense.
12:58Like he's going to get moved around and get some really interesting layup matchups and then flipping it over to Houston.
13:04And that push and pull between Booty, who I think can be a little better utilized as a Z receiver and like
13:11kicking into the slot than a pure X. That'll be fascinating with Nico because, I mean, he's basically just lined up outside
13:17on the line of scrimmage and that's it, like at a higher rate than any receiver over the last three years.
13:23Does he get moved around the formation? Because I think there's a I think the entire fantasy community has been sleeping on
13:30the fact that like Nico Collins has wide receiver one overall in his range of outcomes before this trade, certainly after this trade still, too.
13:37So he's a guy that every time in the second round, even with this Kayshawn Booty trade, like I think that only
13:44could allow Nico to even if it moves around like 10 percent more than he did last year.
13:49That would be a huge improvement. And I still, by the way, like Jalen Noel is a as a late round sleeper.
13:56He's a yeah, he's a slot only player potentially, but a guy that I think was better on film than the stats.
14:02So I think that you guys are right on about this, that the real takeaway is that basically everybody involved is a winner from this one.
14:10And I think it makes both offenses just a little bit more clear in terms of the distribution.
14:15But that's the news of the day. Had to whip through some of those, you know, maybe unfun headlines to start.
14:21But we got into a good place with the Texans and the Patriots there.
14:26Now let's get into our exercise of the day.
14:28We're going to identify some players that need to have their ADPs adjusted.
14:32We're going to start with you, Mike, your first ADP on Yahoo that needs to be adjusted.
14:37Give us your guy here. So it was funny because you you mentioned the player.
14:42It's it's Kenneth Walker. And you were like, I just moved Gentee, you know, after Kenneth Walker.
14:47Welcome to the club where we've been here all year, bro.
14:50We we're not drafting Ashton Gentee above Kenneth Walker.
14:53It's I couldn't I couldn't get into it. The team environment is just like what the Kansas City Chiefs can do when they are fully functioning.
15:00Now, we haven't seen a fully functioning Kansas City Chiefs offense in multiple years.
15:05And you're like, there's there's a bunch of different reasons that you could say maybe it's this, maybe it's that.
15:10Like maybe it's Matt Nagy. And but now he's gone.
15:13And I think Kenneth Walker, you know, I am I'm more so on the side of like a running back doesn't really transform your entire team.
15:21Mm hmm. But this is a big move, I think, for the Kansas City Chiefs.
15:26They haven't had a a quality back like Walker in.
15:29I mean, since the since the heyday of cream hunt when he was on the Kansas City Chiefs.
15:34And on top of that, like when you think about cream hunt with Andy Reid, the dude was the bell cow.
15:40He was getting everything on that team. And Kenneth Walker can really do everything.
15:44We had maybe some concerns of the prospect not, you know, in college wasn't really used as a pass catcher.
15:50Well, over the last couple of years, we've seen no is the hands are they're fine.
15:55They can work out. He can catch dump offs from from Patrick Mahomes.
15:59And he's just he is truly a special player.
16:02We know the advanced metrics of like breaking tackles.
16:04He is since he's been in the league. He is among the league leaders of those things of just being efficient.
16:10He can hit a home run. He's they finally have a player who can score from anywhere on the field.
16:16If the play unveils itself in the right way.
16:19And I think it helps the receivers, too. They just the Chiefs have been lacking.
16:23They've been lacking firepower for so long. So this was a huge move, a necessary move.
16:28And, you know, the cherry on top of you, at least we're getting the reports out of training camp is like Kenneth Walker is doing everything.
16:36They're going to they're going to have this guy touch the ball forever.
16:40Remember, the only arguments against Kenneth Walker is injury, which I think Kenneth Walker gets a more of a bad rap for that than he should.
16:48It's like his first two years in the league, 15 games played like when you have a running back in fantasy football,
16:54you should automatically assume they're going to miss two games.
16:57This is just how the NFL works. So that's not bad.
17:00Year three, the 11 games. OK, now we have a season where we truly miss stuff.
17:05Then he appears in all 17 last year. I think that I think the rap he has taken for that is just
17:12it's unwarranted and it's truly the only issue with drafting him for fantasy.
17:15So he to me, he's easily a first round pick.
17:18The fact that people are getting him in the second is just absolute theft.
17:23Mike Mike has been there consistently. Yeah, I'm a day one with Kenneth Walker.
17:27All his dreams came. He's been waiting a long time for this moment.
17:31You know, I mean, listen. I was going to you pitched it there perfectly at the end, Mike.
17:36So I was going to say, I mean, you want to say his ADP is going to be higher.
17:42He's currently drafted 14th overall. So this is a guy you're rubber stamping like your late first round pick.
17:47You're picking on the turn. You're taking Kenneth Walker if you get one of those spots.
17:52Yeah, 100%. I think it's like, you know, it gives B.
17:55John McCaffrey and cook. Those are the four. It's like, I think those guys deserve to be drafted over Walker after that.
18:02You're not putting John and Taylor there. I think you can take Kenneth Walker over Taylor and feel just fine.
18:08Okay. Yeah, I think that's fair. Like I said, I've wanted to get there with Kenneth Walker.
18:13I'm not clearly as much of a hipster as Mike Wright over there.
18:17You know, I get it. I'm coming in like, have you heard of this band Mumford and Sons?
18:22Like they actually do some pretty good stuff. And Mike's like, bro, I was there the first album.
18:27I heard the banjo way before you. I've been stomping and clapping since the beginning, Harmon.
18:32Unbelievable. I can't believe I've been out stomped on the Kenneth Walker situation.
18:36But no, yeah, I think at this point he makes total sense as one of those turn players right now for me.
18:42And, you know, the Gentty injury absence just kind of allows you to smoothly get into that.
18:47Let's stick at the running back position here and go to Jason, your first player, a little bit later in the draft,
18:54but still at the running back position. Someone who needs to have much later.
18:58Yeah. And honestly, you're saying we need to have these guys adjusted.
19:02Please don't leave them there. That's why I like him.
19:05In the 10th round, Jordan Mason is currently being drafted as the running back 38.
19:09There are 32 teams. And so, you know, you're already behind backups.
19:13You're already behind other situations, you know, like we see with the Steelers.
19:17You know, we don't know. Is it Rico or Jalen Waddell?
19:20Jordan Mason's well beyond all of these players. And again, the question comes down to, well, is he the starter or is it Aaron Jones?
19:27To me, it is a definitive. It's not a question.
19:30It is absolutely Jordan Mason as the starter. What Kevin O'Connell did this offseason, completely what he has said and what he
19:37has implemented, a vertical wide zone scheme, totally changing how they run the ball from previous seasons.
19:42They're bringing basically over what the San Francisco 49ers have done, where Jordan Mason thrived.
19:46Since Mason came in the league, literally, it's only Jameer Gibbs and Devon Achan with a higher yards per carry because he
19:53is a tackle breaking machine on that scheme. So now they're switching their scheme to focus on that run game.
19:59And even last year with a really, really bad offense, if you look at the games where JJ McCarthy didn't start, you
20:05already had Jordan Mason over 10 and a half half PPR points per game.
20:09So Kyler coming in, a trust in Kevin O'Connell, a scheme that fits Jordan Mason's skill set and an older Aaron Jones
20:16says to me, there's no risk when you're taking him in the 10th round as running back 38.
20:21But that is a depth piece that matters. And I fully expect him to be a weekly guy that is played in all 12.
20:28You know, if you're in a 12 man league, he will be started every single week.
20:33I believe most of the season and you're getting him for free.
20:37Andy, do you have like strong feelings on this Vikings offense?
20:40Because I originally probably back in June, I remember saying to Joel on the show, Joel Smith on the show, I'm like,
20:47I think I'm going to be a Kyler Murray guy this year.
20:50And, you know, that was pre Europe vacation. Me, that was like a different person back then.
20:55I think I came back, you know, maybe just a little more loose, whatever, not sure what happened.
21:00But ever since then, I have just felt a little less convicted on this Vikings.
21:05Tempered. Yeah. A little tempered on the Vikings offense because you can sit there and say like, there's no question.
21:11There's going to be a quarterback upgrade. And I think this will be a quarterback upgrade.
21:16And it's going to happen. However, you guys watched Kyler Murray for many years as, you know, tortured Cardinals fans as you are.
21:22And, you know, it's not like there's some flaws to the Kyler Murray profile overall.
21:27We booted him out of town. Yeah. I mean, Kyler.
21:30You three personally? I don't know. But yeah, we actually participated.
21:33Got him an Uber. But no, it became a frustrating exercise out here in Arizona where Kyler, you know, he had he
21:40had an MVP start to the season years ago in Arizona.
21:43We started out whatever it was, seven and seven or eight.
21:46And and you saw the potential that was always there.
21:49But ever since the injury, you also saw a more skittish quarterback in the pocket, somebody that was kind of unwilling to
21:56step up and and make the throw when necessary.
21:58Lower a dot opportunities. I mean, he was able to support DeAndre Hopkins to a fantastic fantasy season.
22:04That's what you're hoping for with Jefferson. But you also have like a lot of other pieces here in this offense right now.
22:11I mean, Jordan Mason in the 10th. I don't mind taking the shot there at the same time.
22:16And it's going to be multiple backs. It's going to be an offense that's relying on Kyler Murray.
22:21Can you support, you know, enough? Can they be a top half offense is my question for those goal line opportunities.
22:27And and, you know, Kyler, I'm praying for the Jefferson managers to get what they need out of him.
22:33Yeah, I don't think by any indications we've gotten the impression that it was a great camp for Kyler.
22:39It was just better than McCarthy. I mean, that was it's a real two a pinnock situation going on or Shadour Watson.
22:45And you don't get glowing reports. Oh, you had a great day.
22:49It's more like which guy threw fewer interceptions at camp.
22:52I mean, it it's a little bit you want a guy to come out and win the job.
22:57And instead, it's just getting close to the season where it's like, well, we've got to give the job to someone.
23:03It's like you said about the Watson thing. Like that was probably always going to be the plan.
23:09And Kyler, from the moment he signed the dotted line, it was going to be the plan.
23:14So it's going to be a trying year for Kevin O'Connell in terms of like what we believe about him as like
23:20fantasy managers and fans and what he's able to execute.
23:23Because if you go back to back years, not really able to get your quarterback across, you know, to where you need
23:30him to be after losing Darnold, it's going to be wild.
23:33So, yeah, I would say I'm like I'm very tempered as well.
23:37I'm hopeful for the fantasy production of those whiteouts.
23:39But yeah, we'll never not be nervous for Kyler.
23:42Well, Jason, I think one of the points that you made there that really does ring true and it kind of dovetails
23:48what Andy was saying there about this is really a I think a bit of a statement year for Kevin O'Connell every year.
23:55He kind of says like we this is a we got to commit to the run game.
24:00We really have to build that out. But this year, I think there's actually a chance he does really commit to that
24:07hiring Frank Smith over from the Miami Dolphins, I think, is a big deal and kind of bringing in a zone scheme that does fit Jordan Mason.
24:15So, you know, I'm playing a little bit of devil's advocate on the whole Viking situation, but I am with you, man.
24:21I actually have Jordan Mason ranked a little bit at ADP as well.
24:25I think he should be a guy that's taken in the 90s somewhere, you know, especially if you get behind it running back.
24:32He's good. Yeah. Hand the ball out to Mason.
24:35Make it easier on your on your quarterbacks. That's what that's OK.
24:38Oh, that was some quick work right there. We are all on the truck.
24:43Why is Kyler so gigantic? We're driving him out of town.
24:46OK, I get it. I get it. Good work, team.
24:49He's way bigger than us. Yeah, that's not the scale.
24:52Yeah. Well, you know, I don't know if Kyler can take up the entire back of a pickup truck.
24:57If you're listening to this on the audio version, by the way, this is a great opportunity to let you guys know
25:04you should subscribe to subscribe to the Yahoo Fantasy YouTube page so you can see that great graphic of Andy, Mike and
25:10Jason driving Kyler Murray out of town in Arizona.
25:13That's it. That's nice. Through the Grand Canyon for some reason.
25:16Yeah. Listen, we don't need to get into Arizona geography here at this point in the show.
25:21However, we do need to get to Andy's first player that he needs to push up the board here a little bit.
25:28Andy, we're staking it running back here. Who is your first ADP that needs to go up on Yahoo?
25:34Yeah, I think this one's super interesting and people are going to have different opinions.
25:38But I think Jadarian Price in Seattle is right now where he's being drafted.
25:42That's pretty much how I see the floor for Jadarian Price.
25:45You're going to be outside the top 24 right now.
25:48I see it's ADP of 65 overall. It's like RB 26 or 7.
25:52To me, you look at what this offense is and it's perfect.
25:56It kind of works with what Mike brought up with Kenneth Walker.
25:59Kenneth Walker was a huge part of a Super Bowl winning offense, Super Bowl MVP.
26:04And here's an opportunity for a guy who was platooning.
26:07That's probably too generous. Who was the bottom of the backup committee situation with Jeremiah Love in college.
26:12And so you had kind of question marks, right?
26:15You want to see all that production and those production metrics.
26:18You want to see more opportunities in the passing game.
26:21But we have to see them now on the NFL field with the opportunity Seattle is going to give him.
26:27This is a player that has elite vision. I think that's his biggest strength.
26:31We've seen in training camp so far. I don't know if you're tuning into the hard knocks world and how much hype that builds up.
26:39But a lot of passing game work for Jadarian Price and a lot of excitement from the coaching staff and being able
26:45to utilize him in the receiving game. And that's something we didn't see in college.
26:50So at the end of the day, you're looking at Charbonnet coming back from injury.
26:54You're looking at a first round running back, first pick off the board from the Super Bowl champs.
26:59And I just don't think, you know, what did they have?
27:03Two top 24 running backs last year with Charbonnet and Ken Walker.
27:06I think they were in that department. I think Walker was maybe 20.
27:10Was he higher than 20? Right around there. I don't have it in front of me, but somewhere in that vicinity.
27:16Usable options. Usable options. And especially if one guy's off the field and we'll see where Charbonnet is.
27:22But I just think the versatility, the vision, the explosiveness, the ability to accelerate in the open field on a team with weapons like this.
27:29I'm pretty excited about it. I think the opportunity is there.
27:32And again, it's all about in fantasy, the value.
27:35Right. Are you getting a player that, you know, you think can outkick the ADP?
27:39And I think that's the situation for Price. Yeah.
27:42Mike, I don't want to overthink this one because I've been kind of just in line with ADP on Janarian Price.
27:48And at the same time, Andy does make a lot of compelling points about this.
27:53And especially like this is an offensive ecosystem we should want to be tethered to.
27:57So, like, give me your read, Mike, on where you think Price is.
28:01Like, is he appropriately priced or should he be going a little bit higher?
28:05I think here he's at the appropriate spot. If I were going to move him at all, it would be, you know, a little bit up.
28:13There's, you know, the red flags of just what does this team want to do?
28:17Or how do they want to use their running backs?
28:20Because the utilization, while they, yes, technically Charbs and Walker were both usable, it was like, why are we, do we keep forcing Charbonnet onto the field?
28:28It's, you know, like, oh, big explosive play. We're in the red zone.
28:32Get Charbs in there so we can get two yards of carry or whatever.
28:36So, I don't know. It must make you so mad they won the Super Bowl with that strategy, Mike.
28:42Well, one of them was the Super Bowl MVP.
28:45It was fresh. They kept him fresh all year just for that Super Bowl run.
28:49And he would have been just fine either way.
28:52But going to that team, that situation, it's a place you want to be.
28:56And first round running backs are, you know, bet against them at your own peril.
29:00You know, it doesn't always work. Shout out Clyde Edwards-Alaire.
29:03But the majority of the time, and actually Rashad Penny, same team.
29:07But normally first round running backs are really strong bets.
29:10And the fact that it's, you know, it's not a first rounder like we had with Gentry last year where it's, you're
29:17spending your first round fantasy pick on that running back.
29:19Or even Jeremiah Love this year who, the talent is absurd.
29:23But what happens in that Cardinals environment? And you're paying a second round pick.
29:27So, his ADP, I like it for price. Yeah.
29:30Like I said, I kind of want to be in line with this one.
29:34I don't know if I want him to go too much higher.
29:37But that is also still, you know, withstanding that I have yet to learn.
29:41And I keep asking this every time I talk about him.
29:45What is Zach Charbonnet's peptide routine if he's going to be returning in like week three or something?
29:50Okay. I'm still looking. Someone in the YouTube comments needs to do an investigative report.
29:55I don't have time for it. Somebody out there needs to do an investigative report on the Zach Charbonnet peptide situation.
30:01But with that, we're going to take our first quick break.
30:04When we come back, we're running through more ADPs that need to be higher according to the fantasy footballers.
30:10We'll get into that right after this. All right.
30:12We're back. We're continuing to go through some ADPs here with the fantasy footballers that they say need to be higher.
30:19And listen, first three, solid work, boys. Solid work.
30:21But Mike, for your second one, this is one I'm absolutely rubber stamping.
30:25This is a guy I can't believe people don't want to draft.
30:29So hit us with your second ADP that needs to be higher right now.
30:33I can tell you why they don't want to draft him is because this guy has just it's been.
30:38It's it. He has been a what if player his entire career, even though he is like I think it's over the last five years.
30:46Only him and Derrick Henry have been top 24 running backs at the end of the year.
30:51We're talking about DeAndre Swift of the Chicago Bears.
30:54Hey, oh, six years. You got our little stat up there.
30:57Nice. Yeah, I don't like I have. I've been by far the most vocal of disparaging DeAndre Swift over the course of the fantasy footballers.
31:04Footballers, I've always felt like he is a top tier athlete, maybe not the best football player.
31:09But we did see, you know, on a couple of years ago before he got the bag when he was on the
31:16Eagles, when he's on when he has a great offensive line.
31:19He's such an athlete. He can make stuff happen and then goes to the Bears.
31:24It's not it's not necessarily the best. But then Ben Johnson comes in and says, we have to fix the offensive line,
31:30throw all the money in the world at it.
31:33Doesn't always work, but it worked for them. They had major improvements over any any category of offensive line that you care about.
31:40The Chicago Bears got way better last year. And DeAndre Swift is still being barely drafted, you know, as as a running
31:46back to type where he's coming off of his best career in terms of, you know, most yards and like the categories
31:53that we actually counted that we care about. So the fact that you can get a part of the Bears offense, which we all want it.
32:00I mean, yeah, we're all clamoring. We're all getting in gang fights of are you team Loveland burden Rome?
32:06And it's like Swift is over here, man. He's going to be the primary running back.
32:11And Kyle Manungai is dealing with his hyper extended knee at the moment.
32:15I don't know how long he'll be out. Does that increase his chance of maybe missing other time with certain injuries?
32:21Meanwhile, here's Swift. He's just going to score a ton of fantasy points on one of the highest powered offenses in the league.
32:28And people just don't want him. So I don't I'm a J.
32:31Don't don't adjust Swift. He is just an absolute steal and drafts right now for me.
32:36I love this one. And it's for the reason that you said there.
32:40I mean, I've been saying all offseason. My answer to which Bears player do you want is just yes.
32:46That definitely goes for the three pass catchers. But it also extends to DeAndre Swift.
32:50I mean, your point about the offensive line is well taken, Mike.
32:54And Ben Johnson, like in that bye week, the early bye week they had last year, they came out in was week six against New Orleans Saints.
33:02Just laying the hammer from a rushing game perspective.
33:04And Ben Johnson takes like an abnormal amount of interest for an NFL head coach in installing their run game every single week.
33:11I mean, this is like his we think about obviously all the cool stuff they do in the past.
33:17He's a game designing guys open and everything. And that's a huge part of it.
33:21But his bread and butter is designing an incredibly well constructed, super buttoned up rushing attack.
33:26And yeah, for me, running back 20 ADP for DeAndre Swift.
33:29I have a running back 17. Like when you get into the 40s and you're looking at like these guys, I like Travis HM.
33:36I'm not taking Josh Jacobs. I'm not taking Cam Scadaboo.
33:39They're like 100 percent. The guy that you want in that range is DeAndre Swift.
33:44Any dissenting opinions, Andy, Jason? The nice thing is, is that we know how sincere Mike is because there have been years in which he's tried.
33:51I mean, he hates DeAndre Swift. I tried to replace Swift last year with my nun guy.
33:56Yeah. I mean, he has tried so hard over the years to just wipe him from the NFL relevancy.
34:02Even, you know, the successful year in Philadelphia, right?
34:05We saw it. We all kind of were like, well, look at those holes he's running through.
34:10I mean, this is just anybody could do that.
34:12Like we haven't wanted to give him credit since he got kind of ran out of town in Detroit.
34:18So for Mike to be this convicted for our excitement for the Bears, I don't really have a dissenting opinion there.
34:24I think it's a strong pick. Yeah, I think he is worthy of being picked there and will finish as a running back, too, because he always does.
34:33I don't think he has the talent to be one of those top six like total breakout.
34:38This is the year where he breaks out. But he's going to be ahead of where his ADP is right now.
34:44Yeah. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Look at the growth, the personal growth on Mike right here as a DeAndre Swift backer in the year 2026.
34:52I'm a man of the people. Speaking of personal growth, the next player that we're going to talk about here, Jason's second player.
34:59This is a guy that his quarterback just last week in an interview with The Athletic said this is his favorite teammate
35:06journey that Jared Goff has ever seen. That is wide receiver Jamison Williams.
35:09So, Jason, tell us why Jamo needs to be going a little higher right now.
35:14Jamison Williams has been a player I've been slower to fall in love with as well.
35:19I loved him coming out of college. I mean, he was unbelievable.
35:22He was my number one ranked wide receiver. Then he was drafted number 12 overall in the NFL draft.
35:28He's just a special player. Took some time to get going.
35:31A bit of a knucklehead to start. Had to stop betting on games.
35:35Had to stop betting on games. But you look two years ago.
35:39Two years ago, he had 1,000 yards. He was a top 20 wide receiver.
35:43Last year, and this is something I think most everyone out there will be like, what?
35:47That's not right. He was the wide receiver 9 in half PPR.
35:51He was a top 10 fantasy wide receiver last year.
35:54He got off to such a slow start. And then if you remember, halfway through the year, you know, Dan Campbell took over play calling duty.
36:02He was like, we got to fix this. From that point on, they had a bye week, I think week 9, week
36:0810 on the rest of the season. He was the wide receiver 5 in fantasy from that point forward on pace for 1,400 yards.
36:15It's like he is the wide receiver 2 for a great offense.
36:19The Bears, we all want pieces of them. They might be a great offense.
36:23We know the Detroit Lions are a great offense.
36:26They have been a great offense year after year after year.
36:29And when you know that, T. Higgins, he's, you know, super highly drafted as the wide receiver 2 for the Bengals.
36:35George Pickens, super highly drafted, you know, as the wide receiver 2 for the Cowboys.
36:40I don't believe that Jameson Williams isn't even being drafted as a wide receiver 2.
36:44He's outside the top 24 in ADP. And this is a guy who just finished top 10.
36:49And currently, Sam Laporta is dealing with an injury that, you know, maybe it was a contact issue on the hip.
36:55Maybe it was kind of a complication of the surgery he had last year.
37:00Time will tell on that. But we do know that when Laporta misses games, Williams goes nuclear.
37:05So, to me, where he is in the draft, I think he has an upside on this offense that most of the
37:11other players in that range, in that, you know, 5th round, 6th round, they just can't compete with the Lions offense.
37:1767th overall ADP on Jameson Williams right now. I have him as a top 50 player.
37:22I love that you point out that you kind of get to do the choose your own adventure is the way I've
37:29been putting it with, or choose your own narrative, really, with the Jameson Williams first half, second half split.
37:34Was it because Dan Campbell took over the play calling?
37:37Was it because Sam Laporta got hurt? Well, honestly, we're going to have kind of both those variables at this point.
37:44I mean, Drew Petsing is the offensive coordinator, which I think is going to be fine, but it still will be Dan Campbell's vision for this team.
37:52But let me ask you this, Jason. And what is your response to what I guarantee is already some of the comments
37:58here, because I know we've gotten them previously. When you say like, Jameson Williams is a good pick.
38:03I can't do it. I can't do the weekly roller coaster.
38:07He's got me like four zeros last year or whatever it was.
38:10What do you say to those people? I would say that when you get to draft a player like that after the
38:17first four rounds, which is where he's going, then you can take volatility.
38:21You can actually... Volatility is not bad for fantasy football because if you average a lot of points but not enough on
38:27a week to get a win, we've done the studies that show like you actually want the massive outpourings that get you the W on a week.
38:35Like, that's what Jameson Williams can do. So if he was a second round pick, a third round pick, that might be
38:42tough because you're saying he's my wide receiver one.
38:44He's my wide receiver two. He could be your wide receiver three easily where he's going in drafts right now.
38:50You're telling me I get that kind of high upside on the weeks where he does hit.
38:55That's fine. I'm not afraid of volatility at that point in the draft.
38:59All right, Andy, for your second player, you're going to be telling us about someone I don't believe many people have spoken about here in August.
39:07I don't think he's been brought up on this show yet.
39:10I haven't seen anybody tweeting about this guy. Who's your second ADP that he's adjusting?
39:15Yeah, I was going to say it kind of feels like the layup here, but obviously, Dajon Stribling, 49er wide receiver, one
39:21of the last remaining living participants on the team after the attack of the substation.
39:26But Dajon, I mean, this is a unique situation where he was drafted above where people expected him to go.
39:32There are opinions out there and general managers that believed he was one of the best wide receivers in the draft.
39:38At least one. But it's a team that has historically taken some shots at guys in TBD on Kalen Black and company,
39:44but taken shots on guys a little bit ahead of where people have expected them to go and not necessarily seen it come to fruition.
39:52But here we are. I mean, you have to, you almost look at the preseason performance of Stribling through two lenses, right?
39:58One, everything's been on display and has been super impressive.
40:01You see the elite ball tracking. You see the acceleration.
40:04You see that vertical speed. You see the fact that he's got the big catch radius and he's a yak guy.
40:11All the stuff that you hope for, you've seen it.
40:13But then for fantasy, you're like, just keep it quiet.
40:16Like, keep it quiet for a couple more weeks.
40:19Like, Carnell Tate, you're doing a great job. Carnell Tate, you're doing a wonderful job keeping your ADP low.
40:25But ultimately, I mean, look, we don't catch up fast enough on some of these guys.
40:30You know, every other practice, Mike Evans, unsurprisingly, going out, no pierce all.
40:33Christian Kirk's heard. You've got Kittle coming back from the Achilles.
40:37I mean, these are not hard arguments to make.
40:39But right now, it looks like an offense that we've trusted historically year after year after year with a big-bodied, talented wide
40:46receiver that's checked every box in the preseason that's sitting there at a huge discount just because they don't have the notoriety
40:52of, you know, a Carnell Tate or Jordan Tyson.
40:55So to me, this is just one of those easy picks.
40:58I wouldn't presume, I'd say, that people take him in association with the ADP that they're seeing printed up on the Yahoo boards.
41:05So if you want him, you may have to spend more than you think.
41:09But I still think he's at a place where you can pull the trigger and end up with a wide receiver one on this team.
41:17Yeah. Listen, we've talked about dribbling so much on the show.
41:20I don't even know if we need to take it.
41:23I'm sorry. No, listen. It's good to hear your different opinions.
41:26I haven't heard yours. Are you two thumbs up, two thumbs down?
41:30Where are you on dribbling? You say you've talked a lot about him.
41:34Uh, so I've made this reference that the, uh, most, the highest viewed video in not this YouTube channel, my personal YouTube
41:40channel's history, uh, is Deshaun's dribbling is my favorite day to sleeper wide receiver, which went like mega viral because they took him so early.
41:48So shout out to the 49ers for that one.
41:50Cause we put that up like probably a week before the draft where I was like, no, this guy's going to get taken on day two.
41:58And he's well worth being taken on day two.
42:01He got taken with the first pick on day two, which, you know, I might not have done.
42:06I might not have done that. But at the same time, I thought he was a rock solid kind of second round
42:13pick receiver with a lot of inside outside versatility.
42:15And you've seen a lot of the traits so far.
42:18You're talking about this, Andy, like great hands. He, he's such an obvious coaches, pet receiver.
42:23He blocks, he makes plays with the ball in his hands.
42:26So I know the college production isn't there and necessarily like the college profile probably doesn't check all the boxes, but I
42:33think this is a guy that is going to be a good NFL player.
42:37The long-term ceiling maybe as a question, but right now for fantasy football this year, this is a guy that I don't really care about that long-term ceiling.
42:45I think he will be used and get some burn with this 49ers offense.
42:49Do we remember like how difficult it was for like Brandon, I, you can Dante Pettis to allow Kyle Shanahan to be
42:56satisfied with the work that they're doing. So that led to your coach's pet point.
43:00I mean, we, we would hear that all the time.
43:03We get, you know, come on, step up, step up, block, do something, do something, right.
43:08Get on the field. And, and it's just been all, all roses for stripping maybe because they have no one left, but hopefully because of the talent.
43:16Yeah. Andy, uh, when I stopped doing reception perception for you guys and, and, and started my own website that year, 2021,
43:23one of my biggest flag plants was Brandon. I think is going to be a great pro receiver.
43:28And that was the year he started off in the doghouse.
43:31So, uh, yeah, if anybody remembers, I was like, Oh boy, this business is going to be pretty short lived.
43:37I do remember how tough it was for Brandon.
43:40I used to get, uh, on the football field.
43:42So pretty encouraging. And now we know that that makes sense.
43:46Cause he's crazy. We didn't know that. Yes. Now it's like, okay.
43:49I see why Shanahan did not like him. Oh man.
43:52Like I said, stripling blocks everything. Every scout report, like Dane Brugler wrote this up, son of a military family, blah, blah, blah, blah.
43:59But yeah, I think we know like why stripling is going to get a lot of burn for this team here this year.
44:06Mike, your third ADP that needs to be adjusted.
44:09Who do we got here? Oh man. Mike's playing the hits today for you.
44:13He's playing the hits. He wanted the good stuff.
44:16It's JK Dobbins of the Denver Broncos. This is going to be number one.
44:20Like I, I like to start at the team level.
44:23They're going to be great. Like this is just overall, this is going to be a team that wins a ton of games.
44:30And then you have, it's Sean Payton. It's, it should be a very strong offense.
44:34And you know, so looking at what happened last year, Harvey goes unexpectedly in the second round.
44:39And so us fantasy nerds are like, well, it's going to be Harvey, I suppose.
44:44And then the beat reporters are saying, no, no, no, no.
44:47Dobbins is going to be the guy. He's going to be the starter in the primary running back for this team.
44:53Well, but Harvey in the second round. And then JK Dobbins comes out.
44:57He is the guy. And like, he was tremendous for fantasy football.
45:01We're not saying that we're not saying JK Dobbins is a top 10 running back by any means.
45:06But I mean, just a string of double digit point performances for fantasy for a player that was drafted extremely late.
45:12And yet now he barely moves up into the middle rounds.
45:15I know. Now, if you want to talk about a player getting hurt.
45:19Yes, you can. We don't like to call players injury prone.
45:23JK Dobbins body doesn't really like to play football as much as he likes to play football.
45:28Call them JK one leg. Yeah. There was. I mean, you had the year where I think with the Chargers where he
45:34basically when he's running, you're like, he's got one strong leg and one weak leg.
45:39But like for a career, JK Dobbins has a 5.2 yards per attempt over his career.
45:43Like this is a good running back that has just really gotten the worst possible hand when it comes to injuries.
45:50You know, last year to not yards per attempt isn't everything, but he's at five, right?
45:54He's at five last year. He goes out with injury.
45:57RJ Harvey comes in and RJ Harvey's on is sub four behind this.
46:01It's the same team. One player is having a ton of success.
46:05The other one is not. And then before you know it, Bo Nix is leading the NFL in pass attempts was because
46:11RJ Harvey could not get it done on the ground.
46:14Harvey will work into passing downs work, of course.
46:17But we we talk about on the footballers like.
46:20You're like, oh, I want the third down running back, the vast, but the overwhelming majority of fantasy points are scored on
46:26first and second down by the running back position.
46:29Yes, it's a nice. We love when they play all three downs so they never come off the field and you can get those cheap checkdowns and things.
46:37But that's not it's not where you cast your lot.
46:40And so for me, Dobbins on a team that that projects to win a ton.
46:44I think that Jonah Coleman is honestly the biggest hurdle in the way of of Coleman, you know, coming into this year's draft.
46:51Coleman was my RB, too. He ends up going in the fourth round, which we know that betting on fourth round running backs isn't the best.
46:59Things might be shaking up here a little bit, though, as we're moving into the modern NFL and we might have to adapt.
47:06But I think that this is Dobbins job. He's going to have a whole bunch of touchdowns.
47:11Yeah, he's not going to catch a bunch of passes, but you're not drafting him to be a top five running back.
47:17You're drafting him to be like a running back three.
47:20And I think he easily slots in to be a running back, too.
47:24I've kind of said the whole offseason. J.K. Dobbins is the free running back square that's just been sitting there.
47:30Like if you mess up in the first rounds or you're a wide receiver onesie position constructor right there.
47:36J.K. Dobbins can give you tons of running back production.
47:39So until he's probably hurt. Yes, that that is seems like an inevitability.
47:43But he he promised. He did promise that he's going to play.
47:46He held the hand up. Yeah, pinky. Yeah, pinky's up.
47:49Pinky promise. Be careful. If I'm just when Dobbins is on the field, he's a great player.
47:54And as of right now, he will be on the field.
47:57Yeah. And listen, if your 93rd overall pick gets hurt after the first month and a half of the season, that's why there's a waiver wire.
48:05OK, all right. Go pick yourself. Go pick yourself up someone and start.
48:09Go get Coleman. Because then Coleman will go get Jonah Coleman.
48:12Yeah, that would be awesome. It'd be great if you could work that out perfectly here.
48:17Listen, if we're high on the Broncos offense, Jason transitions perfectly to your third.
48:21Yeah, that needs to be a little higher here.
48:24Yeah, I mean, Jonah Coleman was my number two running back as well.
48:28They add that to a good core. And then you add Jalen Waddle, a player that was so desperately needed for this team last year.
48:35I think this offense will be good, in which case Bo Nix, the quarterback who's going to benefit from the entire offense
48:42being better, is being so weirdly underdrafted. I think people were upset with some specific performances last year.
48:47Maybe people are afraid of the ankle surgery. Looked really good this last weekend.
48:51Didn't seem like the ankle was bothering him. Connected to Jalen Waddle.
48:55This is a player who, in his two years, he came into the league as a rookie, was the quarterback seven.
49:01Then last year was the quarterback six. Then they had Jalen Waddle, and they're like, yeah, let's draft him as quarterback 14.
49:08What do you think? Ninth round? Somewhere around that.
49:10It's just like, this is a guy who can rush for 400 yards.
49:14He literally led the league in passing attempts last year.
49:17Has a good offensive-minded head coach. The weapons are there.
49:20Although I did notice on your graphic of potential offense for the Broncos, Mike would be so mad.
49:25You had no Pat Bryant out there. Excuse me?
49:28I did not see it. He's not the graphic guy.
49:31Matthew. No, I'm just saying. You think I did that Kyler Murray graphic?
49:35I don't think so. Throw that graphic up. We got to see this.
49:39I mean, it's my boy's Troy Franklin who I love.
49:42We got Franklin up there? No, Pat Bryant? Let's see.
49:45Oh, there he is, Troy Franklin. Oh, my gosh.
49:47My dude. Hey, Franklin. I love Troy Franklin, but Pat Bryant has been getting all the amazing accolades this year.
49:53Off-season. Because he's good. Everything is coming up roses right now for the Broncos offense, and Bo Nix is just completely unwanted in fantasy.
50:00This is a great point. It kind of goes back to what Scott and I were talking about yesterday, where, and it's
50:07a little intellectual honesty, look yourself in the mirror here a moment for me.
50:11If we're sitting here saying, oh, all those Packers receivers, I want to draft them.
50:16I want to draft Tucker Kraft. They might play with more pace.
50:19They might throw the ball more. And yet, no one wants to draft Jordan Love.
50:24And I've been sitting here all off-season being like, Jalen Waddell is one of my biggest flag plant players at the wide receiver position.
50:31I think, obviously, his ADP has gone up a little bit.
50:34But at the beginning of off-season, I was like, this is the most mispriced player in all of fantasy football, period, end of story.
50:41And yet, I don't want to draft the guy who's going to be delivering the football to him.
50:46Yeah, probably do. I agree with you here. Bo Nix, certainly.
50:50It's a great point, too. It's like, yeah, QB6, QB7.
50:53Let's give him a great playmaker that fits a perfect need.
50:56And, yeah, let's take him at QB12. Doesn't make any sense here.
50:59So, yeah, I do think Bo Nix is a great late.
51:03It's a great year to go late round quarterback in general.
51:06Oh, it is. It is. There's so many names.
51:09Kyler will be on to this. You know, I...
51:11How dare you. I know. I know. It's a great year for late round quarterback.
51:16You go to Kyler first? You could have named, like, Trevor Lawrence.
51:19Well, I would have gone with Jackson Dart, but you also don't love Dart.
51:23But there are quite a few options. I could go even lower Malik Willis.
51:28Then I'd get Andy's attention and agreement. I'm interested.
51:30I mean, hey, who isn't interested in a little Malik Willis in the, you know, 15th round or something like that?
51:37All right. We are going to take our quick break here.
51:40And when we come back, we've got four more ADPs that the boys need to say need to be going up here.
51:46We'll get into that right after this. All right.
51:49We're back. Our final four ADPs that the fantasy footballers say you knuckleheads that are drafting on Yahoo right now are letting them go way too low.
51:57It's time to get your act right. Andy Holloway.
52:00Ramondre. Who's your third player here? Well, look, I'll make it quick, but this is a situation that drives the player.
52:06Yes. I'm going to go Ramondre Stevenson. Drafted as the RB 31 right now.
52:10Finished as the RB 25. But in points per game last year was the RB 17.
52:15And everybody wants the flashy, sexy Travion Henderson. All indications.
52:18Boston Sports Journal. Boston Globe. Not even a discussion.
52:20Ramondre is better at everything. We've got an injury now to Travion.
52:24We all want Travion to succeed, but it's going to be Ramondre this year.
52:28And it's a tough pill to swallow, but it's a good discount in fantasy.
52:32Yeah. Listen, I'm with you on this one. Honestly, I've been saying since the Super Bowl ended, I was like, I'm not
52:39going to be able to get out of my head when we're drafting fantasy teams that when this team was in nut
52:45cutting time trying to win the biggest game of them all.
52:49They shelved Travion Henderson and just played Ramondre Stevenson.
52:51And you know what? We're here on August 24th.
52:54And my opinion has changed 0% on that one.
52:57So I'm with you. 78th overall ADP on Ramondre Stevenson.
53:00Definitely looks like a nice value right now. Mike Wright.
53:03Taking us back to the wide receiver position, who is your fourth and final player that these knuckleheads need to be drafting higher?
53:09We're going with Zay Flowers. My good sir. Number one.
53:12Very, very good at the football. The touchdowns have definitely been down.
53:16They're lower than we really want from a true number one wide receiver.
53:20But those things fluctuate. Targets matter. And the target share for Zay Flowers has gone up every year.
53:2524 to 25 to last year's 29% target share.
53:28He is an absolute stud. The Baltimore Ravens agreed.
53:31And then they backed up the Brinks truck and gave him all the gold bullion.
53:35And he's going to be their guy. I'm excited for the new offense.
53:39The targets are still going to be there. But now that you have a change of offense, I think there's a chance
53:45that we see maybe eight or more touchdowns from Zay Flowers.
53:49And if he's scoring eight while putting up the yardage that he put up last year, like 1,200 on 86 receptions.
53:55If you just bump up the touchdowns just a little bit, he becomes an elite player that's going outside of the top
54:0112 wide receivers despite having a top 12 wide receiver target share.
54:05Yeah, listen. Zay Flowers, big flag plant player for me this year as well.
54:09He's the guy that we talked a lot about in the offseason that didn't talk as much now that we've gotten into preseason time.
54:16But since Zay Flowers entered the league, 2023, 90th percentile success rate in zone coverage.
54:2198th percentile in 2024 and 91st percentile this past year while also taking a big jump against press coverage.
54:26I'm not going to say he's going to be deployed like around the goal line as Amon Ross St.
54:32Brown has been. But I mean, Declan Doyle coming from Ben Johnson's tree, like we've seen it with a guy who doesn't
54:39fit the prototype wide receiver one size. I mean, obviously, Zay Flowers smaller than St.
54:43Brown. But still, if we get an eight to 10 touchdown season out of Zay Flowers, you're going to be very happy
54:50that you took him at the 33rd overall pick.
54:52So, yeah, he's someone that fits into that tier two receiver group for me here, Mike.
54:57I'm going to rubber stamp that one as well.
55:00Jason, let's talk about a player that everybody is just fired up to draft right now.
55:04Oh, man. This is the fourth and final. They are so fired up to draft.
55:09You're talking about on average draft position, you're tight end 22, baby.
55:12Oh, wow. So, this is an undrafted player. Yeah, I mean, it doesn't matter.
55:17He could be 28, 38. It doesn't matter. He's undrafted.
55:19Here's what I believe about the tight end position.
55:22If you don't get one of the absolute tip top players, I like punting the position.
55:27And my point here is that this is a guy you don't even have to draft a tight end.
55:33Grab him off of waivers if you want. He scored 0.7 points different per game than Travis Kelsey, who was the tight end three last year.
55:40The tight end position doesn't really matter. He had eight games where he was a top 10 player.
55:46And you're starting the season with, unfortunately, Jordan Tyson down to the hamstring injury.
55:50I think you will definitely not see him for a while.
55:53All the camp report has been that Juwan Johnson is just in a mind meld with shock.
55:58He's the number two target. So I feel like getting off to a start of the season, you can plug him in
56:05even if you don't draft a tight end. You don't have to be so fearful because I think the worst picks right
56:11now in fantasy are those middle round tight ends where you're wasting a sixth, seventh, eighth round pick.
56:16Like, where there are running backs wide receivers that are good there.
56:20And those those tight ends, they might be better than Juwan Johnson, but like maybe less than a point better.
56:26How much? It's it's it's an irrelevant shot to take.
56:29So I like highlighting some of these undrafted tight ends that are that are good enough.
56:34Yeah, I mean, when you're sheep league made or just like, well, I've heard of Mark Andrews before.
56:39I've heard of Dallas Goddard before because I've been drafting them for the last decade at the tight end position.
56:45Like, just take Juwan Johnson instead, because he's probably he's probably going to outscore those guys based on Tyson injury real quick
56:52before we get to the final name we're getting to here.
56:55Just because you mentioned this, Jason, like what are you doing with Jordan Tyson at this point?
57:00Is he a guy that people should even consider drafting or is the timeline too mysterious?
57:05If you've got an IR spot in your league, then I would be I'd be willing to take him in the late rounds.
57:11I believe that he is an exceptionally talented player who's my wide receiver one personally coming.
57:16I think all three of our wide receiver ones coming out of this year's draft when he gets on the field, he will be special.
57:24So it's it's worth a stash if you have an IR spot.
57:27If not, then that might just be too hard because I think you're going to be at least a month without him.
57:34Yeah. Listen, if you don't have the IR spot, just pay attention to the news, OK, and pick them up off waiver wire.
57:41I think it's the right way to do it.
57:43Andy Holloway, fourth and final player for you that needs to be going higher in Yahoo leagues is who?
57:49What are we doing with Chris Godwin? Huh? What are we doing?
57:52Just letting Chris Godwin sit out there as old busted.
57:55Look, Emeka Abuka has to take a step forward.
57:58We expect it to happen. But with no Mike Evans, with the Baker Mayfield relationship with Godwin, I think he just came
58:05out and it was just on a radio show the other day talking about the fact that there it is.
58:10It looks like the best version of Chris Godwin being back in a system that's going to help him be successful in spots.
58:17He does things really well. And I think that that, you know, when he when he steps back to pass, Godwin is
58:24is is one of those top targets that people are ignoring because of the excitement of Abuka.
58:29It's not too dissimilar to the Ramondre situation in the fact that you get a massive discount on a guy that is
58:35kind of the been there, done that. He's not the same Godwin that he used to be.
58:40But we're talking about, you know, full PPR leagues around the goal line.
58:44I still think he's going to be involved and he's, you know, really cheap.
58:48Can you kind of convince me to not be worried about the fact that I thought the film was really rough on
58:55Chris Godwin last year coming back from the injury?
58:58And you guys know this. This is one of my like all time reception perception guys.
59:02Like this is what I mean, I linked I linked to the piece I wrote for you guys when I wrote up
59:09his profile for my site this weekend. So what do we do about the fact like does does the cheese get unbad
59:16here at 30 years old for Chris Godwin? Cheese gets better with AIDS, brother.
59:20Yeah, cheese is not the comp. Too much AIDS, though.
59:23I don't know. No, I wouldn't expect the same Chris Godwin from years ago.
59:27But I'd say that we have the evidence that it took Godwin when he had his first major injury.
59:32It took him longer than we hoped and expected to get back to a reasonable form.
59:37And so far, all indications are that, you know, time has gone by.
59:41He has had a great training camp. He has got the rapport going.
59:45You know, do we expect McMillan and Hurst and Tez Johnson to, you know, be top targets in this offense?
59:51I think that's a hard thing to ask of them to be consistent for fantasy.
59:55So beyond Ibuka, to me, it's still Godwin. And you're just looking for more of the what we got out of like,
60:02you know, digs last year in New England. And you're not talking about a wide receiver, too, for your team necessarily, but
60:08somebody that you can go put in the flex that you know is going to be on the field for a ton of downs.
60:15And that's always going to be a threat for a touchdown with Baker.
60:19So that's kind of the way I look at it.
60:22Yeah, the argument for the film being bad last year is that he was coming off that injury.
60:28The injury is all of it. And what you'd expect if that was the case is that you'd be hearing crazy reports about the explosiveness being back.
60:36And that's what we're hearing. So obviously, it's hard at 30 to to assume he's, you know, going to get more explosive.
60:42But if he's coming off of that injury, that's that's the excuse making for the bad charting.
60:47I'm sure you did. Yes, he did terrible. Yeah, charted you charted poorly.
60:51Well, listen, it wasn't great for Godwin. I'll say that.
60:54And yet, because 97th overall ADP, I'm still like four spots ahead of that from an overall standpoint.
60:59So you'd actually donate. This is one of the situations where it's like, you know what?
61:04You saw a lot of red on that chart there.
61:07If he was going at the 79th overall spot, the 60th, that'd be a different question there.
61:12We just need to see a slightly better version of this.
61:15And at 97 overall, it's still a nasty chart, though, Harmon.
61:19That chart doesn't factor in Baker being hurt, your stupid charts.
61:22You think that brought me any pleasure to put out on my website?
61:26No, that had to hurt. You think I want to put that?
61:29Yeah, it did. So do you think he's done?
61:32Is that where you lean? Do you think he's cooked?
61:35No, I don't think he's done. But I think it's probably about 95% likely that we've seen the best days from Chris Godwin.
61:42Oh, for sure. Yeah, I think that's the deal there.
61:45But you made the allusion to a step on dig season.
61:48I think he could give a Keenan Allen season from last year with the Chargers to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
61:54You know, 80 catches. Chargers leading receiver. Yeah, by the way.
61:57Yeah, 80 catches, 700 to 800 yards. And at 97 overall, that makes him a really good pick.
62:03Because this is still going to be an excellent Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense.
62:06So, yeah, I'm pretty fine just kind of saying that happened for Chris Godwin last year.
62:11And he's probably going to be a little bit better this year.
62:15And that's all you really need at 97 overall.
62:17So, you know, I don't want to see any of a...
62:21He has 80 catches this year. Look at the stupid chart, all right?
62:25I'm telling you, don't worry about it. That's why you read the words.
62:28That's why you listen to the podcast. Watch the show on YouTube.
62:32And that's why you also listen to the fantasy footballers.
62:35If for some reason you're watching this show, you're listening to this show, and you don't listen to the fantasy footballers, I mean, that's crazy.
62:42But, boys, appreciate you guys joining me. I'm so glad I've gotten to spend a lot of time with you guys over the last couple months.
62:50It's been absolutely fantastic. Andy, Mike, Jason, appreciate you guys for joining the show.
62:54And, you know, let's all try to survive the rest of August here.
62:58Let's do it. We love ourselves some Matt Harmon.
63:01So, thank you, man. Appreciate you guys. Thanks for coming on.
63:04We are going to take another quick break. We come back.
63:07We're going to welcome Justin Boone to no pressure tell you who the league winners of the 2026 season will be.
63:14We're going to get into that right after this.
63:16All right, we're back. And welcome to Draft Day Blueprint presented by Orgain Creatine.
63:20Whether you're training like it's game day or preparing to battle it out on draft day, Orgain Creatine helps give you the
63:27muscle strength to fuel harder and push farther. Upgrade your performance today with Orgain.
63:31And today, we're going to be focusing on some league winners.
63:34And this wonderful gentleman joining me right now, usually a part of the whole show here on Monday.
63:40But, you know, hopping in for this segment because he's been doing a lot of work.
63:44Okay, this guy, Justin Boone, has been doing a ton of work for the Yahoo product, including you just wrote a piece about league winners.
63:52So, Boone, welcome to the show. Appreciate it. League winners.
63:55No pressure. Yeah. Yeah. Just a little tricky to try to sort through.
63:59Right. And a weird spot for me to be in today.
64:02I'm used to being the starting pitcher. I'm coming in as the closer right now.
64:06So, I got to bring the heat here, Harmon.
64:09And these seven guys we're going to talk about, I think they are pretty, they're pretty fire.
64:14We're going to have good seasons and maybe even career years from all of them.
64:19I definitely think we are in line for some pretty excellent performances here with the guys you got.
64:24Before we jump into the specific players, though, do you actually have a definition of what constitutes a, quote, league winner?
64:30Because, you know, this is a constant, frankly, nauseating discussion on social media.
64:34But, like, for these players here, you know, you're not looking at this guy's going to be that random running back you pick up off the waiver wire.
64:42It is the league winner of the season. These are players that are actually being drafted.
64:47So, when you think of the term league winner, what comes to mind for you?
64:52It's players who are going to carry your team to a championship.
64:55It's not necessarily guys that are going to break out, though there might be some breakouts on there.
65:00It's not necessarily sleepers that are going to come out of nowhere and lead you to a title.
65:06It's guys that I think are very strong picks.
65:08And also, spoiler, it's the guys that I'm trying to get on all my teams, right?
65:13These are the players that I find myself drafting all the time.
65:17And then I'm trying to build, like, the core of my teams around.
65:21And every year when I do it, it's always seven players.
65:24It's one quarterback, two running backs. There's three receivers and then a tight end.
65:28And I try to do it in a way where you could almost draft all of these guys on the same team.
65:35It's tough in the first round because you're kind of locked into a certain area.
65:39But you could almost get all of these players on the same team and build it that way.
65:44But if not, I recommend just trying to get as many of them as you can.
65:49All right. So, let's get into it here. And we'll start with the quarterback if we're putting together the league winners of 2026, the roster for Justin Boone.
65:57Who's our quarterback here? Well, when the offseason started, this guy we knew was probably going to lose his star receiver.
66:04He was coming off a very disappointing campaign. And you wouldn't think that in the summer I'd be talking about this guy
66:10as somebody that I'm drafting so much. But it's Jalen Hurts.
66:13And I think he is set up so well right now.
66:17I'm writing off like there's, you know, the sources coming out of joint practices at the Patriots saying, oh, he's throwing interceptions and the offense looks terrible.
66:25Well, yeah, the offense isn't going to look great right now.
66:28They don't have their receivers. They didn't have Devonta Smith.
66:31He practiced, but he wasn't out there in the team drills going against each other.
66:35And Makai Lemon, their first round pick, he's still working his way back.
66:39And we think he's going to be fine for the start of the year.
66:43So, we're going to see this offense hit week one.
66:46They're going to have a couple weeks right now to get it all sorted.
66:51And they get that very easy start that we talked about.
66:54Harmon, you go back to, was it last week's episode?
66:57We were going over schedules. And they start off with the commanders.
67:00They start off with the Titans. And they start off with a banged up Bears secondary.
67:05That's basically like going to be an extended preseason for them, right?
67:09They're going to have a chance to have these receivers in there, you know, work out some of the issues and some of the wrinkles.
67:16And really get things going the rest of the way when, oh, by the way, Jalen Hurts has the easiest fantasy quarterback schedule for the whole season.
67:24And this is a guy who's been so good for fantasy.
67:27Like QB eight last year, and that was the down season.
67:31But you look back to the last five years, QB six, QB two, QB one.
67:35He showed us that he can be that number one overall quarterback in fantasy.
67:39And then the year before that, QB seven. And we've talked all off season long about the things that are different that
67:46could really help them rebound this year. Right. The offensive coordinator change going from Kevin Patulo to Sean Mannion.
67:51I think that's going to be such a massive upgrade in the way that this offense kind of modernizes, starts to use
67:58motion a little more, starts to do some like things that most offenses are doing.
68:02And last year it just got so stagnant. The players were unhappy.
68:06This is going to be a breath of fresh air for them.
68:10We also are going to see him hopefully have a little more time to work with in the pocket because the offensive
68:16line was banged up all last year. And we know when they're healthy, this is one of the best lines in the league, right?
68:23Nate Tice, our buddy, he had them ranked as a top five unit when he did his offensive line article recently.
68:29Brandon Thorne of established a run. He does great work on offensive lines.
68:33He's got them as the second best set of blockers.
68:36So the key is just, can they stay healthy?
68:39Can we avoid some of those injuries? Like when Lane Johnson goes down, there is very different splits for this offense when
68:45he's not out there versus when he is. So let's hope we can get some better health there.
68:51And man, I think you look at the weapons and yes, AJ Brown is gone, but Devonta Smith was always this overqualified number two receiver.
68:58So he's going to step into that number one role.
69:01We're hearing great things about Dontavian Wicks. I have a lot of belief in Makai Lemon.
69:06I think he's going to have a good season and we haven't gotten the hype about him because he's dealt with injuries
69:12going back to OTAs and for most of training camp here.
69:16But eventually he's going to get out there and show what he can do.
69:20And this guy is a really, really strong player.
69:23But the main thing here, Harmon, is even in the down year last year, right?
69:27Jalen Hurts, the passing stats weren't as great. The rushing stats were down.
69:31They weren't giving him as many designed runs. But guess what?
69:34Sean Mannion, he's like, no, no, we're getting back to that.
69:37We're going to run the ball with him. We're going to keep the tush push.
69:42He also clarified the tush push isn't going anywhere.
69:45And if you just take the down year that he had rushing, keep the passing stats the same.
69:50The down year that he had rushing, 421 rushing yards and eight TDs.
69:54Prior to that, he had four straight campaigns where he had over 600 rushing yards and at least 10 rushing touchdowns.
70:00So last year, if we just bumped up that 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns to the low end of what
70:07he was doing those four years prior, just give him 600 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns, that would have made him
70:13the QB3 last year behind Josh Allen and behind Drake May.
70:16So why can't he do that again, Harmon? There are so many reasons why I think Jalen Hurts is going to get
70:23back to being a really, really big difference maker in fantasy.
70:26I like it. He goes in a great area.
70:29I'm in line with that ADP for him. And I really believe if Sean Mannion has the goods, Boone, and I feel pretty good about where Mannion is.
70:37It's like this offense is going to be better for everybody involved, especially once they figure it all out.
70:43Right? Like this is one of their early season schedule points that I really love from you because it's when they're going
70:49to need a good early season schedule. Because I think they will be sort of figuring things out, like the receivers getting back up to form and everything.
70:58But yeah, I mean, it's such a good point.
71:00That practice clip that went viral of Jalen Hurts where Quinion Mitchell picked him off and people were freaking out about it.
71:07Like how could the team post this? I'm like, well, you idiots know that the guy who intercepted the pass who made
71:13the highlight does also play for the Philadelphia Eagles too, number one.
71:17And number two, so, you know, you don't want to highlight.
71:20You want to highlight other players beyond his quarterback.
71:23Okay. Okay. Number two, the receiver targeted on that is like Hollywood Brown.
71:27I'm like Hollywood Brown is not supposed to be like one of the top three receivers on this team.
71:32And you could make an argument. I know it's hard to angle, but like that he flattened the route off in a
71:39weird way that led to Hurts throwing interception. I don't mind at all that we've seen some up and down offseason reports
71:45here from the passing game because of those receiver injuries that you mentioned.
71:49Yeah. And also, and I feel like I say this all the time, don't overreact to interceptions or poorly thrown passes in practice.
71:56Right. Don't worry about that stuff. That's when they're trying different things.
72:00They're practicing a new offense. They're trying to figure it out.
72:03Right. So yes, there's going to be some bumps along the way.
72:06I remember, wasn't there a year where like Patrick Mahomes threw like five interceptions in practice and people were like freaking out about it.
72:14It was like, relax. Now, if it's Cam Ward and we're seeing it over and over and we haven't seen him do it in real life.
72:21Okay. Maybe that's a little more concerning because you want to see a little bit of a positive drumbeat on some younger
72:28players that are trying to prove themselves. But even he's a guy who's in a new offense trying to learn.
72:34So let's relax on some of the overreactions that we have to practice.
72:38Well, we're going to get there. We're going to get real football pretty soon and then we can adapt and figure things out on the fly.
72:45All right, but give me your first running back here.
72:48That's a league winner. So this is a first round pick.
72:52And again, this kind of, you know, depends where you're picking in the first round.
72:56If you're picking first overall, you're not going to take this guy.
73:00This is more a middle of the first round pick.
73:03It's Jonathan Taylor. And he's somebody else that I've talked about on the show and my love for him and why I'm
73:09one of the people who doesn't have Christian McCaffrey over him.
73:12I just, I can't. McCaffrey scares me so much this year, Harmon.
73:16Like the 450 touches last year, the age, all of it.
73:19It just really, really scares me. And if you think back to last year, Taylor was actually outproducing McCaffrey.
73:25If you look at what he was doing when Daniel Jones was out there, the first 13 weeks of the season, it
73:31was Taylor who was averaging 23 fantasy points per game.
73:34And he was the number one scoring back. Yes, there could be some regression in terms of touchdowns.
73:40He was having like games where he's scoring three touchdowns.
73:43That's going to be a little bit tough to do, of course.
73:46But when this offense was humming and it will have a chance to get back to some version of that with Daniel
73:53Jones out there and not the corpse of Philip Rivers and not Riley Leonard and those guys that were basically just placeholders.
73:59You're going to get Daniel Jones out there, might not be 100% Daniel Jones, but it's going to be Daniel Jones.
74:05It will elevate this offense back. Maybe not to the number one amazing unit that they were when he was out there early last season.
74:13But again, it's going to be much better and they're going to rely on Jonathan Taylor.
74:18This is another team with a very good offensive line.
74:21They're very strong going back to our guys, Tice and Brandon Thorne at ETR.
74:25Both of them had the Colts line inside the top 10.
74:28So that's a positive. And could we see him actually maybe get a little more work in the receiving game last year?
74:35He stepped up. He had 46 catches last year.
74:37Now you take Michael Pittman out of the picture.
74:40Alec Pierce, obviously. We don't know when he's going to be back to full health.
74:44He's coming back from the ankle issue. I think we could really see them have to lean on JT a little more through the air.
74:52And why not? This guy is phenomenal. Another easy schedule situation.
74:55Seventh easiest schedule among running backs this year. So there's a lot of reasons here where I think we should be excited about taking Jonathan Taylor.
75:03And one of the main ones is I think his passing numbers might be a little bit better than people realize.
75:09I think people look at him and kind of associate him more with like the Derrick Henry type where he doesn't do that much in the passing game.
75:17Well, he might have to. And last year he showed.
75:20I think he's capable of that. Yeah. Listen, you get a mid first round pick this year.
75:25I love taking Jonathan Taylor. I was in a draft.
75:28It was a full PPR draft. So at the fourth overall pick, I was really tempted to take him because Christian McCaffrey went ahead.
75:35I was really tempted to take him ahead of Puka Nakua, but ultimately went with Nakua.
75:40But the fact that I even thought about it is just a really good sign for where Jonathan Taylor is right now.
75:47Real quick here. Your next running back is Kenneth Walker.
75:50We don't have to go too long on this one because we had a pretty robust conversation about Kenneth Walker earlier in the show with Mike Wright.
75:58But give us the quick pitch on Kenneth Walker.
76:00Well, this one, this should tell people how much that I actually like Walker this year because Harmon, when I went to
76:07write this article, I looked at last year's article and guess who was the second running back who I recommended in that article, right?
76:14It was like, I'll do it again, baby. I hesitated.
76:17I sat there and I deliberated like I can't.
76:20I can't put him in here again after what happened last year, but it was like a tale of two seasons, right?
76:26I felt like in the end, I was weirdly vindicated in terms of talent and what he could do on the field.
76:33It just didn't help anyone's fantasy teams. It didn't help people win a fantasy title.
76:37So that part of it was awful. But remember, he started the season strong last year.
76:42You know, he was top 10 in terms of fantasy running backs two of the first three weeks.
76:47And then he finishes incredibly, right? The last six games, including the playoffs, 128 and a half scrimmage yards per game.
76:54It just was phenomenal. Goes on, ends up winning the Super Bowl MVP.
76:57We know he can do it. And now he's going to a team in the Chiefs that brought him over really to be that guy.
77:05They're going to give him a chance to be the workhorse.
77:08They're going to give him a chance to catch passes.
77:11And he's not that old, man. He's 25. He's going to turn 26 during the season.
77:16We know what a game breaker he could be.
77:18Third and explosive run rate last year. I can't wait to see what he's going to do in Kansas City.
77:24And there is still a part of me that's a little bit worried that by putting him in this column, Harmon, and
77:31by talking about him here, that I'm somehow going to ruin it again.
77:35And something bad is going to happen, an injury or something.
77:38Knock on all of the wood. Let's hope that he's going to be healthy.
77:42And let's hope this is the massive year that we've been expecting from him.
77:46I'm with you on this one. So I am very much hoping that you are right here in 2026 that he is that league winner.
77:54Your next guy is Devante Smith. I'm going to skip past him because you talked Jalen Hurts.
77:59You already mentioned it. Like he's an overqualified wide receiver too for a long time.
78:03If you want to get more analysis on it, we are reading again in 2026 people.
78:08So you can go to the website and check out Boone's article on Devante Smith and all of these guys.
78:14But let's get to Jalen Waddle here. Again, I feel like we've been beating this drum for a long, long time.
78:20I'm Justin Boone. But tell the people why Jalen Waddle is indeed going to be one of those league winners.
78:26I don't know if we've like properly given you enough praise for.
78:30I remember the show when we were talking about Waddle and I was saying that I like him.
78:35And then you told me you had him ranked in like some wild spot, like wide receiver 12 or something overall.
78:41And I was taken back. I was like, I thought I was high on him and you were way higher than I was on him.
78:49And it made me go back and look again.
78:51And I was like, yeah, Harmon's right. Like there is something here.
78:55This is a great scenario. Everything's lining up for him.
78:58And Harmon, I want to give you props because shortly after that, I wasn't the only one in the industry that started
79:04talking about him more that moved him up my rankings.
79:07So apparently people listen to you when you're talking about receivers and who could have a big year.
79:13Who thought, Harmon? Who would have thought? Listen, listen, listen.
79:16Before we'd say like, let's give you the praise or credit for this.
79:20Let's see how the season plays out. Let's see if I'm actually correct about what's going to happen for Jalen Waddell.
79:26But yeah, I think we all agree. I mean, when we did the episode on, you know, who's going to be this year is George Pickens.
79:34Jalen Waddell was our pick there. And yeah, I mean, I've been high on him ever since the Broncos trade.
79:39And we've talked so many reasons why. Right. It's just he is going to fill this really critical role.
79:45You saw the catch in the preseason where it was the exact usage that I've been painting here, Boone, where it's out,
79:52you know, off the ball, moving around pre-snap. That vertical route from the slot.
79:56I think we're all in agreement. Like, Jalen Waddell is going to absolutely cook this year.
80:01I mean, you get him every time I'm on the board and he's on the clock and he's on the board in the fourth round.
80:08He is the guy I'm picking there almost with no hesitation.
80:11I have him ranked as a third round pick.
80:14And I have to kind of like figure out where to take him.
80:18Right. I know. Of course you do. You try to do the game with yourself.
80:22Yeah. Yeah. We're giving you props for moving the needle, not for being right about it.
80:27But yes, when it comes to trying to figure out where to take some of these guys, you don't want to you
80:33don't want to jump up and overpay too much.
80:36But if you want to get him, you might have to go after him, you know, in the mid to late third
80:43or even the early fourth, even though his ADP is a little bit later than that.
80:47But yes, he showed us the kind of player he could be.
80:51He's had good fantasy seasons before. And even last year, amidst like that kind of bad Dolphins year, you know, he's top
80:5812 in targets per route run yards per route run first downs per route run among qualified receivers.
81:03Like he has it. We know he has it.
81:06We know the Broncos think he has it. They want him to be the number one.
81:10Everything is pointing in the right direction. There's going to be more volume there.
81:14And let's hope he could stay healthy because we had an injury scare or, you know, the preseason here.
81:20So hopefully he's going to be fine for the year.
81:23Hopefully he'll stay out there. And if he does, man, the sky is the limit.
81:28He could end up as a top 12 wide receiver one here.
81:31Speaking of wide receivers, your next guy, Parker Washington.
81:34Scott called him this year's Tucker craft for the pod.
81:37Like basically the one that we we're all higher than consensus on.
81:40And it's just honestly, Boone, like I do have some questions long term.
81:44Like where's like exactly the upside for Parker Washington and everything.
81:47But he's just so easy to get in drafts, at least on Yahoo right now, even as the ADP has climbed.
81:54Yeah, he's still like in the drafts I've been in tends to go seventh round.
81:58I'm willing to take him in the sixth. And, you know, the times I've done it, it's another one of those where
82:05it's like, did I go too early to grab him?
82:08And then you just go, no, I'm happy that I have him because if you're getting him in the sixth round, he's probably your wide receiver three.
82:16Maybe your wide receiver two, but often my wide receiver three.
82:19And he's the guy that has just a much higher ceiling than that.
82:23Right. When his playing time became more consistent last year was in week seven and beyond.
82:27There was 10 games there over the next 12 weeks.
82:30He missed a game because of injury. And there was also a buy in there over those 10 games, though.
82:3614th in receiving yards the rest of the way.
82:3915th in yards per route run. 18th in fantasy points per game.
82:43And he ended the season so strong. Right. In the final seven games, five of those outings, he had at least 90 yards and or a touchdown.
82:51So he showed that he can do it. There's no reason for them to put that back in the box.
82:57Travis Hunter, he is going to be playing mostly on defense.
83:00He'll have his moments on offense, but he is no longer in that equation as a meaningful part of that passing attack.
83:06In my mind, at least not this year. Maybe that will change down the road.
83:11But right now, everything that we've heard, the beat writers are saying he's like uncoverable in practice.
83:16That Parker Washington is the clear number one guy.
83:19Again, someone else who the injury seal has been broken.
83:22He has dealt with an injury, but it's not supposed to be anything that's going to keep him out long term.
83:28He'll be fine for week one. And man, this Jags offense, this Liam Cohen offense, we want to be a part of this.
83:35We saw how hot they got down the stretch last year.
83:38Again, very easy schedule this year. Top 10 in terms of easy schedules among receivers.
83:42He's going to be able to come through with another solid year.
83:46And where you're getting him, you don't need him to be top 12.
83:50If you get him and he gives you a top 25 season, that's a huge, huge value.
83:5575th overall on Yahoo over the last seven days, which is way up from the ADP that started in the 90s.
84:01So we have definitely moved the needle on like actually moved the ADP on Parker Washington.
84:06So there is that your final player is tight end Tyler Warren.
84:09But once again, I'm going to tell people go to the website, read the piece here on league winners from Justin Boone.
84:16But real quick, just give us the quick pick pitch on Tyler Warren because we got some promos to read before we get out of here.
84:24Tight end six and fantasy points per game through week 10 last year with Daniel Jones out there.
84:29And then injuries hit for Daniel Jones and for Warren.
84:32He dealt with that the rest of the way.
84:35So we saw that. But even if you look at, think about Tucker Craft last year.
84:39Why do we like him? He had the yak ability, right?
84:43Warren also brings that. There were 14 tight ends last year, saw at least 75 targets.
84:47And so these are the best fantasy tight ends, obviously.
84:50And guess who led that group in yards per catch?
84:53And yards, sorry, yards after the catch per catch.
84:56Warren, 6.5 yards per. So he has that in his bag.
84:59This is a guy that can get points a lot of ways, including out of the backfield.
85:04They can deploy him that way. Somebody that I think is going to be up there with the elite names at the
85:11position by the end of the season. Love it.
85:13I absolutely love it, Boone. It's way too short of a time with you here today, but those are your league winners.
85:20The good news is, even though we didn't spend enough time together on the show here, you and I are going to
85:26be spending a lot of time together in person, Justin Boone, this week.
85:30Because for all of you out there, don't forget Yahoo Fantasy Draft weekend presented by Versed.
85:35It's this weekend, okay? Saturday, August 29th from 3 to 7 p.m.
85:39at Dick's House of Sport in the Buffalo area.
85:41That is right. Amherst, New York. Be there, all right?
85:44Boone is going to be there. He and I will be there together.
85:48Josh Norris will also be there. But Boone and I will be there.
85:52No, I'm kidding. Josh, it's going to be great.
85:55It's going to be awesome. All three of us together, we're going to have a live show.
86:00We're going to take your Q&A. If you're getting ready for your draft, all right, and you're not there, I'm sorry, but
86:06the odds that you lose your league, I've heard that they go up by 30%.
86:11That's just what the team has been telling me, research-wise, on the back end.
86:15So, okay, I expect to see all of you there if you are in the Buffalo area, the Amherst area.
86:21Boone is going to be there. I'm going to be there.
86:24It's going to be an absolutely electric time. Speaking of electric, 29 Days of Fantasy continues to roll on here at Yahoo.
86:31Day 15 of 29, we revealed team offense as a roster position.
86:34Pene Sewell, you're seeing the video on the screen right now.
86:37If you haven't checked it out, go to Yahoo Fantasy Social.
86:41It's a great video. He makes the point perfectly, okay?
86:44You want to give the big guys up front some love?
86:47Team offense is how you do it. The offensive lineman.
86:50Now it gets a little credit, okay? It's optional in the NFL.
86:53It's a default setting in college fantasy. You'll love to see it.
86:57It's a really cool feature. I'm very excited about this one.
87:00I am also excited for tomorrow's show because Ray Garvin is back, and we reveal our 12 breakouts for the 2026 season,
87:07and we have a very special reveal at the end of our show that you don't want to miss.
87:12That is live at 4 p.m. Eastern tomorrow on this YouTube channel.
87:16Subscribe. Come back tomorrow, and until then, we are out.
