Aaron Jones

PositiveValue83:37

Matt Harmon prefers rostering Aaron Jones over stashing Kaelin Black because Jones has the backfield to himself and the Vikings' run game is performing well.

Insight page

Alec Pierce

NegativeUsage62:05

Matt Harmon and Nate view Alec Pierce as a volatile flex play against the Chiefs, noting an expanded route tree but concerns about the quarterback's ability to push the ball vertically.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveBreakout87:28

Matt Harmon praises Antonio Williams, stating he looked 'straight up good' and 'awesome' in Week 1, and suggests he deserves more opportunities in the offense.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

NegativeUsage33:22

Matt Harmon notes that Baker Mayfield was too 'amped up' in Week 1, leading to poor decision-making and fumbles. While the offensive system is sound, Mayfield's tendency to try to do too much is a concern.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection78:27

Matt Harmon suggests Bo Nix has regressed in play style as the team removes 'training wheels' and forces him to play more traditional quarterback, which looked scary against a chaotic defense like Spagnuolo's.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveUsage21:34

Nate Tice observes that Braylon Allen looked good in the Jets' run scheme, contributing to the overall competence of the offense.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveUsage21:34

Bucky Irving

PositiveBreakout31:57

Matt Harmon considers Bucky Irving a big winner coming out of Week 1, noting his vision and running ability. He views Irving as a fringe top-15 running back for the upcoming week.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveBreakout68:18

Matt Harmon views Caleb Douglas as a valid boom-bust flex play, noting his ability to snap off routes over the middle and his potential to benefit from broken plays.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection26:00

Matt Harmon believes Caleb Williams has taken a significant step forward, showing complete command of the offense and handling disguised coverages well. He views the Bears as a potential 30-point-per-game offense.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveBreakout22:57

Matt Harmon is very bullish on Chase Brown, citing his league-winning upside. He expects Brown to receive consistent touches, including high-value carries inside the five-yard line, and notes that the Bengals' coaching staff prefers keeping the same personnel on the field, which benefits Brown.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveProjection17:23

Nate Tice highlights Christian Watson as a key component of the Packers' passing game, which he expects to be highly productive for fantasy football this season.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeUsage27:08

While Matt Harmon acknowledges the Bears' offense is elite, he warns that the distribution of targets can be frustrating, noting that Loveland can put up a 'bagel' in a 59-point game, though he has 30-point upside in specific weeks.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

NegativeProjection58:05

Matt Harmon expresses concern regarding Daniel Jones, noting he does not look like he is pushing off his leg properly and that the Colts offense could be a fantasy scam due to his performance.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeUsage23:09

Matt Harmon views David Montgomery as a standard RB2 for fantasy but notes that Woody Marks is eating into his workload, leading to a true split backfield in Houston.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

PositiveUsage66:52

Matt Harmon considers Deebo Samuel an easy start against the Dolphins, noting that the Dolphins' defense struggles with movement and players working over the middle.

Insight page

Demarcus Robinson

PositiveValue13:35

Nate Tice suggests that Demarcus Robinson is a deep-league waiver wire stash to keep an eye on, given the current state of the 49ers' wide receiver depth chart.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeProjection62:11

Matt Harmon suggests that Michael Penix is the only hope for Drake London's fantasy production, implying the current situation is dire.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection36:07

Matt Harmon believes Drake Maye will be fine for fantasy purposes because his scrambling ability provides a high floor, regardless of the passing game's performance.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

PositiveRole35:36

Matt Harmon remains very high on Emeka Egbuka, noting his role moving all over the formation and his ability to create separation on routes.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveProjection22:07

Nate Tice suggests that Garrett Wilson is a relevant fantasy asset because the Jets' offense is functioning with more competence this season.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveProjection22:02

Nate Tice notes that Geno Smith looks confident and is a more valid fantasy option this year because the Jets' offensive line is providing him with clean pockets.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveBreakout58:55

Matt Harmon identifies Isaiah Likely as a top-10 tight end candidate, noting that this is the most 'truthy' part of the Giants' offensive outlook.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveRole56:06

Matt Harmon believes Jadarian Price is better than just a flex option and looked good in his usage, noting that the Seahawks run game should improve as the season progresses.

Insight page
PositiveUsage90:28

Matt Harmon believes Jadarian Price is better than just a flex option and expects the Seahawks' run game to improve as the season progresses.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveBreakout62:19

Matt Harmon views Jalen Coker as a valid fantasy play and a very good player, noting he has good catching range and is a willing blocker.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeValue36:41

Matt Harmon is trying to move on from Jalen Warren in fantasy leagues, citing frustration with the Steelers' offensive scheme under Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy, which he believes will limit the run game's production.

Insight page
NegativeUsage60:41

Matt Harmon is trying to move off Jalen Warren in dynasty leagues because the Steelers' run game is splitting carries and will likely be frustrating due to Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and Mike McCarthy's play-calling, which fails to lean into 'bully ball' despite the offensive line and tight end personnel.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeInjury4:14

Joe Burrow is dealing with back tightness and soreness after taking hits in Week 1. Nate Tice notes concern regarding his practice status, specifically that he was not throwing, which is a significant escalation from simple back soreness.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeInjury4:11

Jordan Mason has been placed on injured reserve, a development that Matt Harmon notes was unexpected.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveUsage63:40

Matt Harmon notes that Josh Downs had great usage in Week 1 with a full snap count and expects him to rank higher than Pierce due to the likelihood of check-down targets.

Insight page

Kaelon Black

PositiveSleeper83:22

Matt Harmon considers Kaelin Black a must-add player who should be rostered across leagues, noting he looked good and is trusted in protection, though he is more of a stash than an immediate starter.

Insight page

Kendre Miller

PositiveDepth Chart27:14

Matt Harmon and Nate Tice suggest the Saints' coaching staff likes Kendra Miller, which could lead to a rotation that impacts Travis Etienne's fantasy value.

Insight page

PositiveProjection56:26

Kyle Pitts

NegativeProjection62:11

Matt Harmon suggests that Michael Penix is the only hope for Kyle Pitts' fantasy production, implying the current situation is dire.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection24:04

Matt Harmon and Nate Tice are fully invested in the Ravens' offense, with Tice noting that Lamar Jackson looks comfortable and is part of a "Big 3" that should be elite at their respective positions.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

NegativeProjection59:10

Matt Harmon is worried about Matthew Stafford's performance, noting he looked sleepy and hesitant to pull the trigger on throws, potentially due to a long flight or his back injury.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeUsage13:18

Matt Harmon notes that the 49ers' offensive structure relies heavily on Mike Evans staying healthy, as the team's depth at wide receiver is thin following injuries to other contributors.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeValue20:36

Matt Harmon is concerned about the Eagles' offensive operation and run game, noting that 78 of Barkley's 83 yards came after contact in Week 1. Harmon suggests dangling Barkley in trades if possible and now ranks several RBs, including Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, Christian McCaffrey, Derek Henry, Kenneth Walker, James Cook, and Ashton Gentry, ahead of him.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeProjection87:28

Matt Harmon expresses concern about Terry McLaurin's outlook, noting he looked 'scary' in a negative way during Week 1 and that teammates like Antonio Williams and Stefon Diggs may outperform him.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeUsage27:06

Matt Harmon and Nate Tice express concern over Travis Etienne's usage, noting that the Saints' coaching staff may prefer their depth options like Kendra Miller. Tice adds that Etienne's struggles in pass protection further limit his reliability.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveProjection76:57

Matt Harmon is 'all in' on Trevor Lawrence, noting he is playing like a top-five quarterback with excellent timing, confidence, and command of the offense. Stats from Week 1 support this, including a 68% success rate and high EPA per dropback.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveRole55:56

Matt Harmon notes that Trey McBride continues to keep the good times rolling as part of a dangerous Cardinals offense that features a bevy of receivers.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveProjection17:23

Nate Tice identifies Tucker Craft as a player who looks strong in the Packers' offense, contributing to his positive outlook on the team's passing game.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveSleeper23:23

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveUsage24:04

0:00Big show for you here today. It is our midweek show with Nate Tice.
0:04We've got a ton to get into here. It's a big show.
0:07We've got some news to break off the top.
0:09A few players heading to injured reserve. Jordan Mason, DeJong Stribling reported going to IR here.
0:14Then we go team by team and decide, are these Week 1 revelations true or are they lies?
0:19Or which one is more true? Is it time to admit that we underestimated what the Jets' offense can be?
0:24The Ravens' Big 3, are they going to be the best in fantasy at each position?
0:28Is Bucky Irving back? Can Bryce Young finally support multiple fantasy starters?
0:32We also have our flex players to consider for this week and a Thursday Night Football preview.
0:36Like I said, this one's a big show. All right, so let's get going here.
0:40All that and more come up on today's show.
0:43Let's get into it. What's going on, everyone? I'm Matt Harmon.
0:46Welcome to the Yahoo Fantasy Forecast. It is a hell of a day to talk ball.
0:50And joining me to do just that is my guy showing us off a little bit of board games on the other
0:56side of this call here during the pre-show chat.
0:58It is our very own Nate Tice. Nate, what's going on, buddy?
1:02Not too much. Yeah, fired up. Always fired up when I get a new game.
1:06I think the last game I ever showed you was a game called Comic Hunter, which is now available at Barnes & Noble, if you're interested.
1:13But no, the game that I just got, it's called Aqua Garden, which I kick-started, which is a big thing in board game land.
1:19It kick-started like several years ago and it finally came.
1:22So pretty fired up about Aqua Garden, but also fired up for another show with you, Matt Harmon.
1:27Oh man, Nate, you're an interesting guy, bro. Kick-starting board games and whatnot.
1:30Hey, we've, okay. It's, it's, you know, I, I'm a psycho competitor and I like puzzles.
1:35So it's my way to scratch those itches, you know, just like, Hey, a little puzzle, a little competition without being kind
1:41of like over the top with it. Kind of, sort of.
1:43I should show you my closet one day of board games.
1:46It's, it's kind of sad. Yeah. I would love to see that.
1:50Listen, we've all got our things. Okay. That's a, that's what we are here.
1:53We've all got our things that we are obsessed about.
1:56What we are obsessed about besides board games though, football.
1:59Okay. Especially trying to dissolve football, the puzzle that is the NFL, Nate.
2:02And that is what we're going to be doing on today's show.
2:06Yes, I am a professional. We're going to be looking at every single team in the NFL, a quick look via the
2:12matchups this week to try to figure out if what we saw in week one was a truth or a lie.
2:17That's what we're going to be doing on today's show.
2:20We also will have our first flex fit check where we'll look at some players that are considered, you know, in the
2:26flex borderline, you know, see if they're start worthy here in week two.
2:29Then we'll finish it up with a Thursday night preview and Nate, we got a banger ahead for Thursday night preview today
2:35to really interesting teams to talk about. But before we do that, should we just take a quick moment of silence for the preseason hero?
2:42The one and only Dajon Stribbling underwent ankle surgery Wednesday.
2:45He is expected to miss 10 weeks. According to head coach, Kyle Shanahan, we also got some bad injury news out of Minnesota.
2:51Jordan Mason is on IR did not see that one coming.
2:54And Joe Burrows like, will he won't he practice today?
2:57I mean, Nate, we're fully back in the thick of the preseason, the real regular season.
3:01But man, what a shout out to our preseason wonder kid.
3:04Dajon Stribbling now going to miss 10 weeks. The Niners just can't catch a break.
3:08And it felt like it was like his first route of the game in Australia.
3:12And it is it felt like he bent his ankle.
3:15So I even noticed that right away. Thought it might be like, all right, our favorite, our favorite injury of the year, the high ankle sprain.
3:22So I thought it was going to be one of those.
3:25But it was no, it was just it's obviously something worse, probably ligaments or something of that sort if it needs surgery.
3:31So, yeah, real a real bummer, because I thought like he was such a smart player that could be whether fantasy impact or not.
3:37I loved having shares of him of just what I could saw in the preseason and with the makeup of the 49ers is right now.
3:44But real bummer. Still fine with him with Dynasty.
3:46I know we focus on Dynasty here. I think there's going to have plenty of opportunities in the future of what he
3:52showed and what his role should be, because at the very least, he can be a guy that's out there on the
3:58field a lot as a blocker underneath guy, kind of just contribute in a lot of ways.
4:03But real, real bummer. And like you said, the Burrow thing, he took a hit against Alex Anzalone on the shoulder on third and six.
4:10I thought that's what it was. Then he had a QB sneak and Bengals fans are all over this as they usually are.
4:16And he took a QB sneak and you seem wincing because he got his back bent.
4:20And as someone that has done those, that sucks.
4:23I've done QB sneaks and that really hurts when you get bent back like that.
4:27So interesting to note, because as much as everybody likes Burrow, including myself and watching him play, injuries are a thing with him.
4:33And it's been a thing with him from college onwards and now rookie year.
4:37So just another one, back tightness, back soreness, but back tightness and not throwing is way different than back tightness and still questionable on the thing.
4:44That's a little interesting that he wasn't really throwing today, at least from earlier ports in practice.
4:48Totally. It's just really, really interesting to figure out what's going on with the Burrow injury part.
4:53But we'll talk about that team. We'll talk about that game overall.
4:56I do want to double back to Stribbling too.
4:59You mentioned Dynasty. He is a tough player now to figure out from a Dynasty standpoint.
5:03I do agree with your point. It's like, OK, long term, he should be fine.
5:07But he was a little bit of a... Again, when I'm talking about what to do with him in Dynasty, I'm thinking
5:13about from a market standpoint, because he was a player that a lot of Dynasty evaluators who just go based off data
5:19didn't really like Stribbling as a prospect because he wasn't this guy that checked all those boxes from a statistical standpoint.
5:25I think those of us who watched him, especially that final season at Ole Miss, me, you, obviously the San Francisco 49ers
5:30and according to the Insiders, basically every other coach in the NFL.
5:34We all really liked what we saw about Stribbling, but that sort of made him a polarizing player anyways.
5:39Now, missing 10 weeks, ultimately this could just be a total wash of a rookie season.
5:43He comes back in 10, freaking 10 weeks from now.
5:46I mean, I can barely contemplate what's going to be happening in October, much less 10 weeks from now.
5:51Is he going to be really ready to rock for a team that hopes to be pushing for the playoffs?
5:56We'll see. Just makes like, again, a really difficult evaluation for Stribbling right now from a Dynasty standpoint, Nate.
6:02And yeah, and also, yeah, Dynasty standpoint. And this is what I'm weary of.
6:05You know, I'm a big fan of buying the dip on players and try.
6:09I mean, everybody is. That's the whole point of this.
6:12But really trying to kind of go zag when everybody's really low on somebody, whether it's circumstances, whether it's injury.
6:17But I'm weary of giving up like, if I wanted to like, maybe, hey, ask the owner, like, hey, do you want to trade?
6:24You want to use something like that? Yeah. I'm weary of giving up like next year's draft picks because next year's draft is loaded.
6:30It should potentially be loaded with guys that would push Stribbling to his third round as opposed to where he went to early second.
6:37There's a lot of talent at every skill position.
6:39Not just quarterbacks get the headlines, but running back tight end receiver.
6:42It looked like we know NIL, all that stuff, but looks like it's loaded, like absolutely loaded of a class.
6:48So again, if you are going to try to buy a dip with him, it might be more of a player swap,
6:54a Trojan horse kind of thing, whatever you want to call it, as opposed to giving up those picks unless you can
7:00really buy low, low, low, like fourth rounders, all that stuff.
7:03But I would just say just be weary of that right now, especially where he ended up going as rookie drafts went along.
7:09And I will say, just keep an eye on him for waiver ads late in the year.
7:13Like, you know, you don't know the health of Mike Evans, George Kittle with his Achilles.
7:18Debo Samuel is going to be an ebb and flow guy.
7:21So just keep an eye on that. Just keep them in the back of your mind when it's like, okay, maybe in week 12.
7:27And it's like, hey, I got that waiver stash at the very end for a playoff push.
7:32So I would just say that for redraft leagues as well.
7:35That's fair. I hope you're right about that because man, I do just worry about missing 10 weeks of your rookie season.
7:41And, you know, if you fall behind and the whole deal, but you're right.
7:44He's a smart player. It sounded like you picked things up quickly in the off season.
7:49Hopefully we can see him really make a big moment in the late season push.
7:53Cause yeah, I mean, it's crazy that we thought, Ooh, three wide receiver set of, uh, you know, Mike Evans and X
7:59receiver, Ricky Pearsall moving around as the vertical Z.
8:01And if alternating into the slot with scribbling, who can be like a big Z slot players in his own right.
8:07And now it's like, well, let's hope Mike Evans stays healthy.
8:10We're back to the Debo Samuel and Demarcus Robinson show in the three receiver set for the San Francisco 49ers.
8:15Yeah. Robinson is a guy that if you're absolutely like a sick freak, you play in one of those deeper formats.
8:21He's somebody to maybe stick at the end of your bench at this point.
8:25Um, you know, dolphins this week, like he's someone to at least keep an eye on.
8:29But, um, with that, let's get into our fantasy truth and lies here, Nate.
8:33Uh, these are things that have, you know, maybe been said or percolating in the fantasy community that we got to determine
8:39if they are truth or lies after week one.
8:41Again, we're going to go game by game here and we will be very disciplined in this.
8:46And what the way we're going to do it is, uh, you know, call producer, Colin, the great, great producer, Colin came
8:52up with a wonderful concept on the show today.
8:54I'll give him some credit for this one. Uh, and he wrote all of these lines here.
8:59We're going to decide which of them is more true after week one.
9:02So we're really only going to focus on one storyline for each game.
9:06So with that, let's get to the first game we've got here, which is Packers at jets are Packers truth.
9:11The Packers passing game will be great in fantasy.
9:14Not so much in the running game. Our jets truth, according to producer Colin is we underestimated the talent and the ability of this jets offense.
9:21Nate, which of the two do you think is more true coming out of week one?
9:25Uh, the Packers passing in would be great in fantasy, but more of the running game.
9:29Not so much is more of the heavy truth of that one.
9:33I think. And that's because I don't think I underestimate quite what the jets offense could be, but we can get to that.
9:39But really the Packers thing, and I think this is going to be an issue for a while because they're figuring out their offensive line.
9:46They have injuries there. They're talking about rotating guys to figure out who their best five is.
9:50Not what you want to hear. Especially with the run game that usually requires cohesion, requires time together.
9:55And especially in that offensive system, that's going to do that.
9:58And on top of it, Marshall and Lloyd is a hit miss type of player.
10:02And even Brooks right now is more of a protection back in a fine runner.
10:06I mean, if you want to give a great example, watch two first two runs that the Packers called against the Vikings.
10:12First one, he runs it right. They repeat the exact same play call on the next play.
10:17And he cuts it back for no reason and gets like a couple of yards where he should have been for 15.
10:23So it's one of those where it's like, it's Caleb Johnson get an opportunity.
10:26But this is really one of those situations I look at that that's exactly what I expected.
10:31And when I watched him against the Vikings, I was like, yeah, of course they weren't able to burn clock or sustain drives.
10:37And they lived and died on explosives. And also it's just a credit to Jordan Love and what I think Christian Watson
10:43looks like now and really what Tucker Craft and Matthew Golden look like as well.
10:47So that's, that's still a heavy truth for me.
10:50I think that is the one that is more true here, especially in the spirit of the way the questions are written.
10:56Uh, I am definitely buying into the, the passing game for fantasy football for the Packers talked about that on yesterday's show
11:01with Ray, uh, where Nate, do you remember in, uh, the March, uh, show maybe March, February, the show that you and
11:07I did about the, uh, the coaches show where I talked about my pace score and my static score spreadsheet.
11:13Uh, well your boy here, speaking of, you know, some of our intricacies and tendencies and things that we hyper fixate on,
11:19uh, I spent all yes, not all yesterday, but between watching film, uh, building a week to week spreadsheet of static score
11:25and pace score, like a full dashboard of it.
11:27So, um, I can keep, keep track on how these things are going on a weekly basis.
11:32We're going to integrate that into the show here at some point producers.
11:35That's a note for me. We'll, we'll, we'll, we'll talk about that off the air, but this is why we're Packers, this is why we're friends.
11:42The Packers went from, uh, 20, 25th in my pace score last year to second in week one.
11:47And again, that was a continuation of something you and I talked about in the preseason that they were going to play faster.
11:53They were going to play with more pace. I think that's a big reason why the passing game will be better, but
11:59on the jet side of things, again, they were the team that were one of the biggest shifts in terms of how
12:05they were schematically from this year to last year, especially in that static score metric that I mentioned, they were 28th last season, 11th this year.
12:12And again, that's blend of plays, heavy personnel, under center play action, uh, motion, all those fun little bells and whistles.
12:18We love from NFL offenses right now. I think the jets just, I know we won't do this for every single team
12:24talk about both of them, but I did want to get this takeoff about the jets.
12:28I was really impressed with how the offense looked, uh, function wise and the way it looked schematically, which I think again,
12:34talent wise, we knew they had talented players. It was just what's Frank Wright going to do.
12:39What's it going to look like? Again, it's one week, but it looked pretty good in week one.
12:44I was very impressed. And yes, Titans caveat. They have to have that, but I thought the old line looked great.
12:49I thought their play style was, uh, it's very run.
12:52Um, I would say run heavy, but run friendly.
12:54So I think Brees Hall and Braylon Allen, um, they both looked really good in that run scheme.
12:59Uh, I thought the use of tight ends was great.
13:02I really do think Mason Taylor has developed into a great overall player, but then you see Kenyon Sadiq and use in such creative ways as well.
13:09So no, I, I was the idea of it.
13:12Like that's the thing that I got burned by the jets last year.
13:15I was like, Hey, they might be a little bit sneakily better than you would think.
13:20And then this year it's like, Oh, here it actually is.
13:22Geno Smith looks confident because the old line's pretty good right now and giving him nice pockets.
13:27Uh, so, you know, whether it's Garrett Wilson or little AD Mitchell, Omar Cooper's banged up or whether it's the tight ends,
13:33like Geno actually is kind of a lot more valid.
13:36I would say in fantasy sense, and really just everyone at this jet.
13:39So like, this is not a lost cause. This is not like having quinch on Jenkins where you're just like, hopefully they get one positive game script.
13:47Like these, this team's going to be in a lot of games.
13:50They're not perfect. They're not amazing, but it's a lot more relevant and a lot more like competent.
13:55I should say just overall, the entire operation. Last thing I actually had, do you have one little speed?
14:00I had this note anyways, about the Packers. Um, they ran plays and this is outside of two minutes to each half.
14:06So it's not two minute drill. The Packers did run plays at six seconds faster than they did last year.
14:11Yep. Um, last year is about 32.8. This, this week it was 30, 26.7 and that that's within the normal game flow.
14:17So exactly what you're saying, like I attest in your numbers and just my numbers that I look at as well.
14:23A hundred percent. Yeah. Um, big excitement for that one in particular.
14:26Okay. Saints at Ravens. Next one up here are two potential truths on the saints side.
14:30Travis H and might be a fantasy bust after the usage in week one Ravens.
14:34The Ravens big three could be the best in fantasy at each of their positions.
14:38Again, that's Lamar Henry and Zay flowers. Which one do you think is more true coming out of week one?
14:44Ravens big three more true. And that, you know, we can talk about a Chan, but no Ravens big three.
14:49I'm big believer in this Ravens offense already. Big believer.
14:52Zay flowers hamstring. We got to get healthy. I think he's gonna be fine, but yeah, I think your call about receiving
14:58leader for Zay flowers is a great, great, great hot prediction that you had.
15:02Like there is this offense is gonna be super explosive.
15:04Lamar looks so comfortable. Yes. It's week one and the Colts defense.
15:08I don't think it's gonna be all that, but the designs were awesome.
15:11The run game looked great. Everybody knew what they were doing.
15:14There's a variety of personnel formations. I'm all in on this Ravens offense right now.
15:18So yeah, that is more true to me that I think Lamar, Derek Henry, and Zay flowers are all systems go.
15:24Yeah. Those three are just going to be awesome this year.
15:27You can tell Declan Doyle calls plays like he thinks these three guys are awesome.
15:31Cause you know what? They are. They're all. Yes.
15:33Like, Oh, I love calling plays for you. Right.
15:36I love calling plays for you. It's like, I bet you do.
15:39I bet you do, buddy. Why not, man? Yeah.
15:41And obviously Zay flowers has to get healthy, you know?
15:44And I think you called plays like, again, put these like motions in shape for Zay flowers, getting him routes out of the backfield.
15:51This is what you do when you think a guy is a superstar.
15:54Okay. Yes. And you saw that in week one for Zay flowers.
15:57As long as he's healthy, he's going to go crazy.
16:00Jacoby lane is going to miss a bunch of time.
16:03Now, unfortunately that definitely eats into their receiver depth.
16:05Like they got to get Devonta's Walker healthy. They got to maybe get Elijah to rot some game time, no comments on Rashad Bateman.
16:12And then we'll move along from there. But yeah, no, I think Henry's going to go down as a great pick.
16:17Lamar is going to be a great pick. Zay flower is going to be a great pick when he's healthy just quickly
16:23on Travis H and just my one liner here.
16:26I think the saints think more of their running back depth than we think of their running back depth.
16:31I think they like, like this is a new coach tap.
16:34They like Kendra Miller. I think they like the Donaldson, the, the rookie that they have there.
16:38So I know that we keep coming back to the contract, but I'm, I wouldn't say fantasy bust, but I certainly can
16:44see scenarios where if that rotation continues, Nate, he would be like a, certainly a small loss player is around for type of selection.
16:51Yeah. More like, yeah. Famous see limitations. I think too.
16:54And also a chance not very good in protection.
16:56And I think that's what they're having some issues with right now.
16:59I'm only a little bit through back watching that game, all 22 wise, and they were so sloppy in the first.
17:05Oh my goodness. That's why I waited, but there was so sloppy in the first half.
17:09And then I, I, you know, they honed in on the second half, the lines defense.
17:14I, the back end, I don't think is all of that anyways, but they will bring some funk.
17:18And I think that's a little bit too, is they don't trust him.
17:22And not, and no real coaching staff has with him.
17:25So they're going to be kind of game script dependent or he is going to be game script dependent.
17:30And like you said, Miller looked good. Um, I've never been the biggest Miller guy.
17:34I always try to make Devin Neal thing, but he can't stay healthy.
17:37And that's why he's not on the team anymore.
17:40But no, I, I think Miller is going to have always a decent amount of snaps, um, that it's not just gonna
17:46be a chance show the entire, you know, for every single game.
17:49So I think he's more of a boom bust player than really you would expect.
17:53Alvin Kamara, not, uh, in the mix yet either.
17:55So he's going to be a role player for this team in some way, at least you would think.
18:01Okay. Next one up here. Eagles at Titans are two truths.
18:04This Eagles offensive line could take every player down a notch in fantasy football or the Titans.
18:08This is, this is the Tennessee Titanic, AKA time to jump ship.
18:11Well done on the writing on that one. Uh, which one do you think is more true coming out of week one?
18:17Oh, I mean, these are pretty both for me.
18:20Um, I, I, I mean, the Titans one is kind of time to jump ship.
18:24I was, I lean into that one more. I think the Eagles figure out their version of this Landon Dickerson admitted that, you know, I was not healthy.
18:31I try to get through it all that, which it was like, that takes a lot from a guy.
18:36He's tough as all get out, but he was such a weakness in week one that it was, it was so shocking.
18:42Like, cause I knew he had play had fallen off, but he was like outright, the worst player and he was hurt.
18:48So it makes sense. Um, but no, more of the Titans that was so, I am so down on them.
18:54I am so down on their operation. It's not like a, a play caller that's young and figuring it out.
18:59That's a coach. That's called a lot of ball plays and they were sloppy.
19:03I tweeted a play out. They had two guys running into each other on the same route.
19:08They had another two guys running into each other, uh, trying to do a pick and they botched a protection on a third down.
19:14It was like, all right, what is working for you guys?
19:17Um, so yeah, that I'm way down on the Titans right now.
19:20I, even their defense, I'm a little bit down on, which I thought could be a sneaky, decent unit so far this year.
19:26Oh man. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's, it's, it's just so bad for the Titans.
19:30I think this is the right one. The one that is again, in the spirit of the exercise, more true is that we're going to, yeah.
19:37Like this, this is definitely more true. And I just don't really know where they go from here.
19:42I know it's week one. I feel so bleak to say that, but I just don't really know what I can hang
19:48my hat on with this team right now. Hopefully it turns around.
19:51We'll see about that. Yeah. Eagles offensive line wise.
19:54I think actually getting Landon Dickerson out of there might help a little bit, but I'm more, I'm more concerned about the
20:00run game than the past game right now for the Eagles, which is weird to say, uh, but they got to get that sorted out.
20:06And, you know, listen, you lose like a hall of fame level run game coordinator.
20:10Things might not be so easy on the offensive line.
20:13So, uh, you know, there, there, there might've been some warning signs on that one.
20:17Okay. Next one up here. Oh yeah. Go ahead.
20:20Go ahead. You have something to add there. Oh no.
20:22I was going to say like early downs, the, the Eagles.
20:25So first and second down, they averaged, they had a 28% success rate against the commanders defense, which did look improved.
20:31The D I will say commanders defense did look improved, but not that much improved like that.
20:36Like that, they averaged three yards per run. Um, 78 of Saquon Barkley's 83 yards came after contact, uh, the passing game
20:42wise, uh, four, two out of five plays either resulted in a sack scramble or an explosive play.
20:46So the past game is going to be very boom bust.
20:49And the run game is just the floor is so much lower than I think people realize with that run game, which has deteriorated over the years.
20:57But even week one, it was just like, it was a nothing burger when they finished with a 28% success rate was Saquon Barkley back there.
21:04Would you consider like getting off Saquon Barkley just on name value right, right now?
21:08Like how, what is your level of panic on the, on the Eagles?
21:11It's not like full bone panic, but if you can find a fun trade for him, like I would dangle him out there.
21:18Um, cause I, it's just, I don't trust the operation right now and it's not, it, I really don't, they might figure
21:23it out, but right now how it looked week one, even their best plays.
21:27I thought Jalen hurts had two really good throws in the red zone, um, on those two touchdowns, but even the big
21:33plays that came out, the Dallas got her one was just the commanders were just weren't ready because they thought it was a false start.
21:40And the other one was the deep ball of Don Tavian wicks, which was a play that hurts.
21:45Actually sure to throw it to Goddard and the DB for the commanders, like, wasn't expecting, he was just like kind of
21:51looking around and the ball gets there. So again, yeah, it's week one.
21:54You don't want to extrapolate too much, but I did have some concerns about how the whole operation looked.
21:59And it's like, now you're losing what used to be a pro bowl left guard.
22:03I've already had worries about the old line anyways, with their old line coach.
22:07So, and they had some sloppiness with like, um, even in past protection of passing things off.
22:12So there's just some harbingers of bad, not bad, but below average right now with the Eagles offense right now.
22:17Well, and this is the thing when you're talking about like round one, early round two fantasy picks, like the margins are very thin.
22:24Um, right now coming out of week one, I would definitely take still Gibbs B John, of course, ahead of Barkley, definitely
22:30still Jonathan Taylor, probably still Christian McCaffrey who went ahead of him.
22:33Yeah, I think, I think I would still take McCaffrey.
22:36I definitely would take Derek Henry. I definitely would take Kenneth Walker.
22:39I'd probably still take James cook. And I, I think I'd probably take Ashton Gentry over Saquon Barkley right now.
22:44And those were guys that were like closer to him.
22:47Yeah, we'll, we'll get, we'll get to Ashton Gentry.
22:49That was a pretty exciting debut for him. Okay.
22:52Let's get to the next one here. This is Bengals at Texans.
22:55We talked about the Bengals and the burrow thing.
22:57So here's our truth for the Bengals. Chase Brown has league winning upside and I'll editorialize this and say he has league
23:03winning upside no matter if they do the under center stuff or if they live in the shotgun world doesn't really matter
23:09for Chase Brown or David Montgomery was the best running back to pick you could have made.
23:14Which is your more truth of the two potential truths here, Nate?
23:17More truth is Chase Brown has league winning upside and I can get into really, it's because I think Woody Marks is
23:23going to have more touches for the Texans. Um, and I think that's the end of the season, but like you, yeah,
23:29I think, well, I think it's just gonna be more of a split where it's going to be a true split, split backfield.
23:35So yeah, David Montgomery is going to get some touchdowns, but then there's gonna be times Woody Marks eats into stuff too.
23:41And that's more of a credit to Woody Marks than anything wrong with David Montgomery.
23:45Um, I just thought he had a really good showing in week one.
23:49Both of them did actually. And then the old line, I, I hyped it up really how they put against the bills defense or really the run game.
23:56And I look back, it was, it was fine.
23:59It wasn't as encouraging as I thought it would be, but I thought protection wise, they were decent and everything, but more
24:05are getting into Chase Brown is he's going to get touches.
24:08He's going to get juicy touches. I think he's going to get a lot of carries with inside the five yard line.
24:14It might not always be 150 yards, those types of games, but I think there's going to be a lot of those.
24:20He's going to score every game and I have a decent amount of touches every single game.
24:24They want them on the field. Um, uh, P Ryan's only out there to be a protection and a true spell guy.
24:30So Brown's gonna be on the field for a lot of touches.
24:33You gotta remember Zach Taylor too. He still has a little bit of that McVay.
24:37I like to have the same personnel out there every single snap, just a little bit.
24:42And that means running back included. So Chase Brown, like a guy I tried to swoop up in leagues and just, just never had the pick for it.
24:49But yeah, I I'm very bullish on what he looked like in week one and with the offense looked like as far as run game wise.
24:56Me too. I feel the same way about Chase Brown.
24:59Yeah. The Montgomery thing is interesting where the Texans, I believe they had, if I can remember the South top of my
25:05head, cause I tweeted this out that they had the fourth best rushing success rate on running back runs, uh, in that
25:11game last week that they had of the CJ Stroud era.
25:14So since 2023 regular season playoffs, and they were 31st in running back rush success rate since they drafted CJ Stroud.
25:20So like, that's all I care about with Montgomery.
25:22I still, even out of, after week one, I still don't really have like a strong feeling about him as a fantasy, uh, asset.
25:29I didn't really have that strong feeling about him coming into drafts.
25:32Obviously he scores a bunch of touchdowns. That's great.
25:34You want that? I really don't care. Like, I just want him to keep the train on the tracks for like Nico
25:40Collins and CJ Stroud, which is what he did.
25:43But I think Woody Marks, like definitely showed pretty well for himself too.
25:46So, uh, Marks is maybe that like, what the heck flex.
25:49And for the time being, I do think Dave Montgomery is still, um, you know, obviously like a running back to in fantasy right now.
25:56Let's jump to the NFC North here. Vikings at bears, which is more true.
26:00Nate Ben Johnson was right. This could be a legendary offense or.
26:03However, Carson Wentz is actually the most viable quarterback for fantasy fantasy.
26:06Just fantasy alone in Minnesota. Yeah. Ben Johnson was right.
26:09This could be a legendary offense. Oh yeah. That's easy.
26:11Take away. You know, it actually is one of those signs where I was like, oh, this could be real good.
26:17The biggest weakness I thought on the offense line is whoever's playing or offense was whoever's playing left tackle and Braxton Jones looked good.
26:24So I'm like, oh, okay. All right. If you're supposed to be the weakness.
26:27All right. I don't have an assessment on the center, but I know.
26:31So, and it's, it's weird. I don't think I've talked to you about this, but like, what was so cool about that
26:37game against the Panthers is all the star players.
26:39I'll call them Colson Love when Roman dunes, a Luther burden blocking their asses off.
26:43And when they blocked like that, it opens up big plays for the run game.
26:47It opens up big plays for screens. And then everybody eats and picking which guy will be might be a little difficult
26:53every week other than Caleb, you know, eating every single week.
26:56But I think overall, this offense is a 30 point a game offense.
27:00And if you're a 30 point a game offense, that is a legendary offense.
27:04That's a nickname offense. If you're averaging 30 a game.
27:06I mean, shoot. He said after the game or not after the game.
27:10I mean, I think he said today, Ben Johnson, that he wanted to go for two on one of those just so
27:16they could get to 60, which I love. I love that.
27:19That's like his mindset. You know, he's great, dude.
27:21He says. So like you and I talked to just a ton about Ben Johnson in the offseason and just how much
27:27we loved that offense that it's last year. Like he's so obviously the guy.
27:31And because like, think about what you just said there about all these players run blocking.
27:35Like they have some. And it's so true when you watch this team, like everybody gives full effort, blocks their butts off consistently.
27:41And think about some of these players here. Like DeAndre Swift was known as like a underachiever, you know, in the NFL,
27:47like a guy that, you know, was frustrating. And now he's just like on his P's and Q's all the time.
27:53Luther Burden fell in the draft because he had a down statistical season.
27:57But also people were like, what are you? And I'll tell you, like I watched Luther Burden.
28:01I thought his effort stunk sometimes on tape. And people felt the same way about it.
28:06Like he would just run himself into zone coverage and just kind of sit there.
28:10And now he's just he's out there grinding, like blocking consistently.
28:13Joddy Walker, you know, he's out there blocking consistently in these heavy.
28:16Like Joddy Walker's got like something, something to him.
28:18And then they give him like a play where he scores the one yard touchdown.
28:22Like so it's just everybody on this team. And I think that will be annoying sometimes in fantasy where you can go.
28:28They score 59 points and Colson Loveland puts up a bagel.
28:31That's crazy. That stinks. And I get it. Like I have Colson Loveland teams.
28:35I find that to be very, very annoying. But I'm also going to live with it because this team can score 59 points.
28:41And there's going to be one week when Colson Loveland drops a 30 spot as a tight end, which is very unusual.
28:47And they also match up well. They're matchup proof, which is something that you always want from a top offense.
28:53There's not like he's going against Flores this week.
28:55I'm not like, oh, how's Caleb and Ben Johnson going to handle it?
28:58Ben Johnson already has proof of concept of knowing how to handle Brian Flores.
29:02And on top of it, you have Caleb Williams who plays the style that you want to, to beat a defense like Brian Flores.
29:09I already know what they can do against bad defenses.
29:11Now they're going against the knuckleballer. And I think that they do have those answers.
29:15So again, if you want to be a 30 point a game offense that you have to be matchup proof.
29:21And I really do think that they can run it some weeks.
29:24They can go heavy personnel. They can go light personnel.
29:27They can spread you out. They can go condensed.
29:29Those are the signs of a top tier offense.
29:32And it was one high on going into the year.
29:34And I know it's just week one and Panthers defenses and all that.
29:38But it was like, check. They're checking every single box that you want to see from what an offense that should look like this.
29:44Yeah. The Panthers defenses and all that. And I know Josh on our recap show ripped them to pieces.
29:50And deservedly so. They have been a pretty bad defense under Giro Evero.
29:53And Evero gets a lot of hype and stuff like that.
29:56I totally understand his point. But also, they aren't one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
30:01No, and they actually did throw a lot of disguised coverages at Caleb.
30:04Like where they would rotate down to single high out of two high.
30:08And that was stuff that gave him trouble last season.
30:10Guess what didn't give him any trouble in this game on Sunday?
30:14Like that was one of the other really exciting things.
30:16In addition to the fact that he's like maybe the fastest player on the field right now.
30:21So my two big takeaways out of that game.
30:23Again, just there's a lot to talk about. But the two overarching ones is like Caleb is he's taking he's taking a step.
30:30I think Ben said it. He is. He's like ahead of the offense now.
30:33I totally felt that while watching him. He was in complete command.
30:37And of course, obviously, the run game was truly capital E elite against the Panthers.
30:41The other thing is like, again, the other proof of concept they're going to have to be.
30:45They're going to have to be the best offense because that defense is going to give it up like crazy on the other side.
30:52Which is good for fantasy. Oh, yeah. Points, points, points, points.
30:55But on top of this, even just we were doing this exercise.
30:58Kyler Murray practiced today and reports. I know you're in rap reports.
31:01That's something different. But from reports was if he's healthy, he's starting, you know, and so they're going to assess him later in the week as well.
31:08So that was also part of this, too, is that, you know, Carson Wentz, you know, his flourish might have just been
31:14a half of chuck it up to Justin Jefferson on a free play.
31:18You know, that might be the highlight of all of it.
31:21But, yeah, no, I'm I I'm bullish on the Bears and just what their offense is.
31:25It's it's really fun to watch and it's very real.
31:28And it wasn't perfect. They had a failed fourth down.
31:31They had a Luther burden fumble like it wasn't even perfect.
31:34And that's what they put up there. Now, imagine a game where they're cooking like like the Jags were like where everything was perfect.
31:40Speaking speaking of the Jags, the team of the Jags beat in week one is our next one here.
31:45Browns at Bucks are two truths here. One for Cleveland.
31:48As long as Deshaun Watson is quarterback, there's no hope for this offense in fantasy football.
31:52I'll also say in real life as well. And then for the Bucks, Bucky Irving is finally back.
31:57Which do you think is more true? Well, these are both true, but I'm going to go with Bucky Irving is finally back.
32:03I'm going to go more positive here because it was just a joy to watch him run the ball.
32:08The line looked good. Again, the Bengals defense isn't.
32:11I don't know why I said again there, but the Bengals defense isn't incredible, but it did look improved.
32:16So it wasn't just a cupcake that they went against in week one that you should watch the first couple of drives
32:22before Baker, you know, put grease on the football.
32:24It was they were moving the ball like they did good things.
32:28That offense had really good moments against the Bengals.
32:30It was actually a lot more of an entertaining game to rewatch on all 22.
32:34And I think, yeah, Bucky's fully back. He had a couple of cuts.
32:38He was good. His vision's still good. And I think the Bucks old line is almost all the way back where it's
32:44like that's going to be a dominant. That's why the screens felt good as well.
32:48They threw a lot of them. But remember, that was a couple of years ago with that Liam Cohen offense.
32:53The old line being better. You get those guys out in space.
32:56The screens feel better as well. No, but I think Bucky Irving is definitely finally back.
33:01Not to say Kenneth Gamewell was bad or anything like that.
33:04But yeah, this is Bucky. Yeah. And of course, with the Browns, it's like we all know that.
33:08You actually don't need to tune into our podcast to know that.
33:12I think Bucky's like a fringe top 15 running back this week.
33:15He's a big winner coming out of week one.
33:17One of the biggest at the running back position.
33:20Just real quick, because you mentioned the offensive line.
33:22I actually wanted to ask you about this. Did you make anything of what?
33:26I felt like there was just more pressure on Baker than I probably would have thought.
33:30What did you make of that for the Bucks in week one?
33:34Because I agree with you. This is a great offensive line.
33:37Is this just new coaching staff, new offensive coordinator, maybe some busts?
33:40Or what did you make of that? Yeah. I thought Baker was just trying to do a little too much.
33:45A lot of times, he was trying to extend plays.
33:48The fumble in the red zone was probably the most frustrating one.
33:51Because he's trying to juke a guy. And then he also switches hands.
33:55And you never switch hands in traffic when you hold the football.
33:58So it's just things that's like, you should know better.
34:01The first fumble was one of those where it's like, all right.
34:04He got out of his sack. You have to give him credit.
34:07But then it's like, you also have to understand what you are.
34:10Hey, it's third down. Get rid of the ball.
34:13And then, you know, I think it was just him trying to do a little too much.
34:17He also had an interception that got wiped off because of pass interference.
34:21So I felt like him. And maybe I actually thought Zach Robinson tried to do a good job of calming him down
34:27with all those screens before asking him to push the ball again.
34:30So I think it was just a little him probably just amped up from the contract.
34:34Week one, all those types of things. You would just hope a guy with 180 starts between college and the NFL would know a little better.
34:41But that's not my woes. That's not my decision to extend him.
34:45But yeah, I thought he was too amped up for a guy that he can just get a little too amped up overall.
34:51And I felt like that he was trying to just do a little too much.
34:55But there's going to be real highs with the offense because he's still willing to push the ball.
35:00The offensive system I actually was fine with. I thought they actually did a lot of good things.
35:05So I'm not, it's not like a total bottoms out thing.
35:08But if that's the worst, that's a pretty good worst, if that makes sense.
35:11Yeah, just a little disappointing because it's like, oh man, Bengals defense week one, this should be a print fest.
35:17And I think when I talked about the matchup on football 301 with you, I kind of framed it as that way.
35:23But just some bad football in that game. But there was good football too.
35:26Like the bad footballs, you can't fumble four freaking times in a game, especially three if you're the quarterback.
35:32But other than that, it's just, I do think a lot of good signs for Tampa Bay.
35:36So Bucky Irving, big winner. Still feel really good about Emeka Buka in his role.
35:40He was like moving all over the formation, getting a lot of separation on the end cuts and stuff.
35:45So yeah, I think those are going to be the guys in that offense.
35:49Next one up here, Steelers at Patriots. Our two truths here, Nate.
35:52Patriots, Drake May will struggle to be a fantasy QB one, especially with A.J.
35:56Brown out or Steelers. There is actually no right answer in fantasy for the Steelers running backs.
36:01There's no right answer in fantasy for Steelers running backs.
36:03I will say, I think Drake May is going to be fine.
36:07He's always going to scramble and run. And that's going to keep him very lively, no matter what the passing was.
36:12And I do think the passing game is actually going to sort itself out, even without A.J.
36:17Brown. And they're not playing the freaking Seahawks every single week.
36:20Opponent matters. So going against the best defense or one of the best defenses is going to limit maybe some of your production.
36:26But no, rewatching the Steelers, I thought the offense, it's too much Aaron Rodgers.
36:30I think that what they should do because of their personnel is lean into bully ball, but they won't because they have Aaron Rodgers on that team.
36:37So I'm not buying anyone in this run game and they're splitting it.
36:41And yeah, I'm not, I'm trying to, I have Jalen Warren because that was a stash from years ago and a lot of dynasty.
36:47I'm trying to get them out. I'm trying to get them out because I just, with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and Mike
36:53McCarthy leaning into that, it's, I do think that it's going to be a very frustrating run game where there's not a
36:59lot of production because it's just going to be a lot of dink and dunk passes and they don't fully lean into
37:05the bully ball that they should with that offensive line and those blocking tight ends they have.
37:10I know it's a shame. It just is like what it is.
37:13This, what did you expect? I didn't think there was going to be a big winner from the only way there's a
37:19big winner is unfortunately if one of them gets hurt and then that guy consolidates the snaps, then that's how this works out.
37:25Otherwise there's just really no, no right answer here.
37:28Okay. Next one. NFC South battle Falcons Panthers at Falcons for the Falcons.
37:31Michael Penix is our only hope for Drake London and Kyle Pitts or for the Panthers.
37:35Bryce Young can finally support multiple fantasy starters. Which one is more true, Nate?
37:39I actually think Bryce Young can finally support multiple fantasy starters because those two starters are Jalen Coker and Tetreault McMillan.
37:45And also I think Jack Strand is our only hope for Drake London and Kyle Pitts.
37:49No, but I actually do think the Bears, again, Bears defense caveat.
37:52I thought Bryce Young actually looked pretty good and like actually was decisive, made some good throws.
37:57And that's why I think Tetreault McMillan and Coker are valid that you can play him in some way, shape or form.
38:03I really do think that. So yeah, I'm going to lean into that because Bryce Young, I watching it back on film.
38:09It was one of the most solid games that I've seen him play, playing actual quarterback and not just relying on total creation throughout the game.
38:16I think, oh man. I mean, the easy answer is yeah.
38:19I mean, Penix is our only hope for Drake London and Kyle Pitts just because like there is no your boy Jack Strand.
38:25Listen, I'd love to see it. I'd love to see it because I don't want to see.
38:30Why not? I don't want to see. I don't want to see what I saw in week one ever again.
38:35And I want to see Tua even less. And I don't think Tua wants to see Tua out there.
38:40So I mean, it's just like, yeah, it's that's my it's my answer by default is it's going to be have to
38:46be Michael Penix or your, you know, to however long segment you did with Derek Klassen on Jack Strand needs to become
38:52like a Cinderella story of the year. Even though I looked at crap in that because we were just moving and I wasn't sleeping.
38:59I'm going to keep tweeting out that video because it was like, hey, I put it in the work.
39:04I better get 15 minutes out of this. My 15 minutes of breakdown fame.
39:08So yeah, I'm glad I put in the work on that Minnesota Moorhead tape.
39:11But with all that said on the Panthers, you know, it's funny.
39:15I think I said this to Hayden on the recap show, if maybe not on stats versus film.
39:19I don't know. All these shows are starting to run together now at this point, and they were already running together before there were all these shows.
39:27OK, I said that two of these guys that were promoted, like the head coach demoted themselves to have a new play caller there.
39:33And we'll talk about the Broncos in a second.
39:36But it was kind of both of them where Dave Canales said about Brad Edzik.
39:40And, you know, this was kind of sort of said, although there was other things maybe intimated as well that Sean Payton
39:46thought that, hey, Davis Webb and Bo Nix have this great relationship.
39:49Brad Edzik and Bryce Young have this great relationship.
39:51They have a better they have a better feel for each other.
39:55So we're going to we're going to make this guy the play caller.
39:58You know, it'll feel better. It definitely worked better for the Panthers than it did for the Broncos in week one.
40:04That is for sure. Obviously, opponent matters. As you said, one's going against Steve Spagnuolo and Arrowhead.
40:08The other is going against that Bears defense. Totally understand.
40:11But I did think Bryce had a really good command of the offense.
40:15And it was like they had a lot more concepts designed to push the ball down the field to these monster receivers that they have.
40:21The offense did look different. And I think that does matter here.
40:25Let me ask you a question that is leading the witness because of who is asking it.
40:29But I swear to God, I'm asking this not in a way to dunk on one player, but to just make the point.
40:35And yeah, yeah, go ahead. No. What does Teddero McMillan do better than Jalen Coker?
40:39Oh, I really do think. Wow. A little bit better.
40:42Yeah, guy. I would say that. But I really do think, man, because Coker's got good catching range and they both can play inside and out.
40:49Wow. This is tough, actually, because this is more just this is more saying how much better Coker is as a player overall.
40:55Then I think what you would think then more than down on Tetra McMillan, you know?
41:00So I would say McMillan's a little bit better as a yak guy.
41:03I would say maybe that's the one thing because he he's not a burner, but he's really good.
41:08Again, that kind of like just extra couple of yards.
41:11He's really good at turning tight spaces for a big guy and like doing the drop step stuff when he kind of catches like stop routes and everything.
41:18So I'd say that's the one thing. But maybe Coker is more of a willing blocker, too.
41:23So, you know, Coker's got a lot going for him, too.
41:26Yeah. So I know that's a it's closer as a guy that has shares of both of them.
41:31So I don't care about saying this. It's closer than you would expect for a top 10 pick in an undrafted free agent.
41:37But I think it's more that both are real good players.
41:40Like, I really like both of them. I really, really.
41:43Yes. It's that Coker is way better than a UDFA and Tetra is totally fine.
41:47Like, if not a very, very good player for a top 10 relative to what you'd want in a top 10 receiver.
41:53I think I think you nailed that. You know, this would be my answer to the question, too, is that I think
41:59Tetra has a little bit more upside to him as a yak based player.
42:02At least he's he hasn't realized that just quite yet.
42:05I'm very interested to see, like how he continues to play as he's packed on like 12 pounds and see what that kind of does for him.
42:12Because I do think there are times where like he probably could have powered through tackles as a as a more physical player in his first season.
42:20So I'm interested to just kind of keep an eye on that.
42:23But regardless, I think the the grand takeaway here is that there's more to the Panthers offense, I think, than meets the eye.
42:29Both because of what Bryce did in week one, the way the offense looked in week one.
42:34And because these these two dudes are both excellent, excellent young receivers.
42:37So I'm really excited to see this Panthers offense continue before.
42:40Maybe not fantasy relevant, but they have three tight ends that are very playable and are well.
42:44Tommy Trimble, Mitchell Evans and Darren Waller, like all those guys, they're rotating them through.
42:49No, I was I wouldn't say impressed might not be the best word, but I came out of that game again.
42:54Bears caveat just going like, wow. All right, Panthers, you really aren't just going like, well, we got Bryce Young, so we have to lean into this.
43:01They were really trying some new stuff and that's and I think they know that they got some juice at receiver.
43:07And I think they're in a bevy of tight ends like it was cool.
43:11They it's like they kind of figured out their personnel and I'm I was really encouraged.
43:15I really was encouraged from week one. Absolutely felt really good about that.
43:19Also felt really good about one of these two teams that we're about to talk about here.
43:23Raiders at Chargers didn't feel so good about the other one for the Raiders.
43:27Our truth is Clint Kubiak has unlocked Ashton Jente's full potential for the Chargers.
43:31Our truth is this is not going to be as good as we thought.
43:35And without Ladd McConkie, they're cooked. Which one do you think is more true?
43:39Oh, I want to say this. All right. I'm again going to go more positive here.
43:43Kubiak has unlocked Jente's full potential. I'm all again like I always use this term, but all systems go with that.
43:49He looked great. The Raiders offensive line are actually bullying guys like it's not finesse zone stuff.
43:53It's actual double teams kicking butt. I was really, really encouraged.
43:56Again, they're playing the Dolphins. Dolphins are iffy. But no, it was, you know, Dolphins have some have some dudes up front, actually.
44:02Kirk Cousins worried. Definitely worried. I think we're going to see Mendoza very soon when Clint Kubiak's already dropping hints about, no, we need to push the ball.
44:10Oh, OK. OK. Noted. But I would say, no, this is what I was hoping to see.
44:14And the confidence that Jente was running with. He's now just a magnet for contact, trying to prove that he can run over everybody.
44:21The structure of the offense, the soundness of the offensive line as far as where they were going.
44:26Everybody was playing fast. Yeah, I'm more into Kubiak has unlocked Jente's full potential.
44:30I mean, we can talk about the Chargers, too, if you want to, because that was I don't.
44:34It's ugly. Their defense. Their defense, too, is worrisome.
44:37Like, I'm worried about that defense like that. I asked this to Sheil.
44:40I asked this to Sheil Kapati on Football 301.
44:43I haven't tweeted the clip yet. Which roster, Sands quarterback, would you rather have?
44:47The Cardinals or the Chargers? I mean, I'll just say from an offensive standpoint, it's not even close.
44:51Like, quarterback aside. It's easy. Which is easily, like, 10 times out of 10.
44:55I mean, that is a way better offensive roster.
44:58Defense, I'd have to sit down and, like, really go unit by unit and kind of pick it apart a little bit.
45:04Yeah, but the fact that you have to think is that's...
45:07I know. I know. And that's... Isn't crazy how much it feels different just in a month.
45:11But once you just sit there and you're, like, looking at it, you're like, huh.
45:15Like Sheil said, it's like, where's the talent at?
45:18Like, you're three of the... Like, where's the talent?
45:20Where are the needle movers? And it's like, as you sit marinate on it, it's something I'm keeping my eye on.
45:26Like, wow, this is not as deep of a roster.
45:28They were my AFC West pick. So I'm... So maybe I'm just dumping cold water on myself.
45:33And maybe I just, again, overreacting. But, man, I'm looking at the whole thing going like, wow, this is maybe not as
45:39juicy as I thought or just encouraging as I thought.
45:42But, yeah. But, yeah, that's kind of... That was my biggest takeaway is I think the Cardinals roster I'd rather have.
45:47The team that was projected to win three and a half games this year.
45:51It's tough. It's tough. It did not look good in week one.
45:54I do think they tried to do a lot in week one.
45:58I think they maybe need to simplify things. But if they don't have Lad McConkie, I do kind of think they're banged.
46:04Their passing offense is in trouble there. Okay. Next one up here.
46:07Jags at Broncos. For the Jags, Trevor Lawrence has become the prince that was promised.
46:11For the Broncos, Davis Webb aside, Bo Nix looks like he has regressed.
46:14Which one of those two do you think is more true?
46:17Prince that was promised. Trevor all the way. I mean, just why others have this stat, but just going from the second
46:23half of last year into week one, Trevor's playing like a top five guy.
46:27Statistically, we can get into the old tier stuff.
46:30But it's... No, but he's playing like a guy.
46:32Like a guy that is the hub of an offense.
46:35A guy that is making decisions and just... You don't even have to look at the throws Trevor was making.
46:40Watch his feet and the timing of every throw.
46:43Every throw came out after one hitch. That means he has confidence in what he's seeing, what's getting designed there.
46:48I am all in on the Jags. I am all in on them.
46:51They looked... I know it's the Browns, but the vibes of the Jags, what they were doing on offense, what they were
46:57doing on defense, I am like really, really optimistic about them and what this offense could be this year and this team could be this year.
47:04And I will say, and this might be a little negative on all of it, but Bo Nix looks like he's regressed.
47:10I think that's just Bo Dix. I think they took out...
47:13They're trying to take away training wheels for him and make him play more quarterback.
47:17And you kind of see against Spags, it looked a little scary.
47:21I want to see how Nix plays maybe against lesser defenses or less chaotic defenses, but I just kind of what Bo Nix is.
47:27So I don't say regressed. It was just statistically regressed, but more play style.
47:31That's kind of what he is or my assessment of him anyways.
47:34I would agree with that. And jumping back to the Jaguars point, this is if you want to still be optimistic about
47:40the Chargers, this is where you have to look is to the Jaguars because that team was a mess in the first
47:46week, the first seven weeks or whatever of last season.
47:49So keep that in mind. And hopefully you can just say, listen, they just had to get all their stuff sorted.
47:54They had to get all the motions and the checks and the shifts and stuff.
47:58The quarterback to feel better about it, blah, blah, blah, blah.
48:01Like that's what you got to feel if you want to be optimistic about the Chargers.
48:06Um, I would also say to just on the Trevor Lawrence thing.
48:09Yeah. It looks completely in control. Uh, he, he looked at, he was just, he was so good.
48:14And yeah, I agree. Like comfortable in the offense.
48:16The talent is showing. It's another thing. Like we talked about the, with the bears where they don't have any, uh, what
48:22Dave Montgomery and Jameer Gibbs described to me when they were talking about the lions, they don't have any like culture vultures
48:28on those, those offenses where it's like, even BTJ was like, God, I had his role minimized.
48:33You don't see him out there like loafing around.
48:35And he's given a lot of effort and is doing his thing.
48:38So, uh, I feel really good about that team for shorts.
48:41A shame if somebody like had Trevor Lawrence as their ninth ranked quarterback heading into last year and a bunch of other
48:47shows, like did whole segments on why that guy's an idiot.
48:50Um, but you mean national TV shows like, you know, like, uh, you know, like talking heads do entire segments and tweet it out and don't tag you.
48:58Yeah. Yeah. Um, no. And also if I want to get some Trevor stats, that was the second best single game of
49:04his career in terms of success rate, in terms of EPA per drop back.
49:08He only had one scramble. It was the second highest rate of throws over the middle he's ever had in the game.
49:14It was his highest air. His, uh, uh, it was the highest, uh, rate of his career of throws.
49:19I traveled 10 or more air yards. It's a, he finished with a 68% success rate.
49:23That's absurd. Anything about 50% is absurd. Um, 25% explosive pass rate.
49:26He, I mean, they're chucking it. It's sound and they do cool designs.
49:30Yeah. Like I said, just all systems go on this offense.
49:33This is the real deal. I think more people will buy in and more people are going to wait to see it.
49:39Maybe it has to be the Broncos game again, but this is real.
49:42This is as yeah. And I, I, O lines not amazing, but the old line is at least competent enough that it's
49:48not going to kneecap the year, knock on wood, as long as injuries don't happen, all that good stuff.
49:53But yeah, shout out to national shows using lists, uh, for content in the summer.
49:57Unbelievable stuff. Uh, all right. Our next one up here, dolphins at 49ers are 49ers truth.
50:02Kaelin black is a problem for CMC managers and is a must add for the rest of the season or for the dolphins.
50:08This team is so bad. It might sink Devon H and with it.
50:11I want to quickly address in the YouTube chat, by the way, from noobster 13 said, I'm stashing Kaelin black just in
50:17case, but I think Aaron Jones might be helpful the next few weeks because Mason just hit IR yes or no.
50:23Uh, I have JT love and Bucky. Listen, I'm all for stashing.
50:26And I do believe that like Kaelin black might be a minor problem, Nate, for CMC managers and is definitely a must add.
50:32Like he should be rostered across leagues. Yes. But listen, but, but I mean, this is, this is week two, bro.
50:38Like you got to win football games. You got to win fake football games here.
50:42And, and I do think I'd rather, I'd rather have Aaron Jones rostered, uh, because you know, you might be like this game against the bears.
50:49It's going to be tight between a guy like Bucky or Aaron Jones.
50:53And by the way, if one of those guys gets hurt next week, you're going to really want to have Aaron Jones as that flex option.
51:00So, um, listen, stash season is not early season.
51:02Stash season is like late season. So, uh, when in doubt, definitely go for the guy that's going to get touches, but
51:08I do think Kaelin black will get touches Nate.
51:11So, um, which one of the two do you find more true that the dolphins are so bad or that Kaelin black
51:17is, is, is a problem for CMC? I wouldn't say a problem, but it's like, he's relevant.
51:21I think is a good way to put it for, for Kaelin black.
51:25Like he looked really good actually. Um, like I was, I was very pleasantly surprised and they trust them in protection.
51:30Um, as well, again, I'm always going to bring that up.
51:33That means more reps for you. And also they're trying to, I think they're trying to spell CMC a little bit.
51:39They know how many touches he had last year, uh, which is a ticking time bomb.
51:43I do think, uh, CMC takes great care of himself, but you just gotta, you know, so, because I do think that
51:49a chain is going to eat enough, um, and get the touches and just, he's going to be more boom bust though.
51:55Like that's, that's, that's the thing as opposed to last year where it was like, he had some steady eddiness to him.
52:01I just think that's going to, how it's going to be with the dolphins.
52:05And so this one, this is actually probably the toughest one I've had so far trying to decide because Kaelin black is relevant, worthy of a stash.
52:12If you do have stash spots, but to answer that guy's question as well, Aaron Jones has the backfield to himself essentially.
52:18And the Vikings run game is whether it's Carson Wentz or Kyler, they're going to be running it like a decent clip
52:24and actually are pretty good running the ball or better running the ball than they have been maybe under KOC.
52:29So maybe just to answer that question as well, that I'd rather have Aaron Jones right now than Kaelin black stash.
52:35Okay. So we got four more here and we got to go through these pretty quickly.
52:39So we can only pick one from each individual one that is, we think is more true to talk about here.
52:45So first one commanders at Cowboys are commanders truth.
52:48Antonio Williams and Stefan digs will both outperform Terry McLaurin in this offense or for the Cowboys.
52:52The defense is so bad that Dallas is post potent offense.
52:55Can't get on the field. Which do you think is more true?
52:58Nate? Antonio Williams and digs. Well, I'll perform Terry.
53:01I, I, I, Terry looks scary and not a great way.
53:04I thought in week one and also just the offense overall.
53:07And Antonio Williams just looked good. Like just straight up good.
53:10Yeah. Straight up. Awesome. Um, and I would say my counter also for the Cowboys point is no, that's a good thing
53:16that the, that the Cowboys defense might be a leaky, but I don't think they'll give up those types of drives.
53:21The giants are, that was a terrible mashup for them.
53:24The giants are, that's how they're going to play.
53:26And not every team is going to go nine for 10 on third down.
53:30Um, that is just, you know, you've rarely ever see that.
53:33I tweeted this out. That was before the final knee.
53:36That was the second highest conversion rate on third down that we've seen this millennium.
53:40Uh, that's not going to happen every single week.
53:42Third late downs are volatile and you're not always going to play an offense like that.
53:47I mean, they play it again more time, but hopefully they have better answers there.
53:51So more Antonio Williams and all that. Cause I think more of the Cowboys defense takes time, it's going to be not.
53:57Four drives of 10 or more plays. It might just be more explosive and then they get the ball back and then the Cowboys offense can cook.
54:04Yeah. We always see these Fangio defenses and obviously that's where Christian Parker comes from.
54:08Takes like a minute to, to sort of settle in here.
54:11So I think that'll probably be what happens for Dallas.
54:14And yeah, I think digs McLaurin, that's going to be tighter than pre-draft rankings and Antonio Williams.
54:18Like I wrote him up for the reception perception charting notebook for week one.
54:22He looked really good. They got to get him more opportunities for sure.
54:26Okay. Next one. Seahawks at Cardinals are Seahawks. It's true.
54:28Janarian price is at best just a flex running back because of the workload concerns and some of the usage or Jacoby
54:34Brissett and the Cardinals are in fact a dangerous offense.
54:37Which do you think is more true coming out of week?
54:40One percent. The Cardinals are a dangerous offense. Maybe not this week, but Brissett and Cardinals are a dangerous offense.
54:45Uh, that is very sound for sets. A good trigger man for a sound offense.
54:49You know, maybe not the highest ceiling. They got a lot of weapons.
54:53Like we talked about Jeremiah love looks incredible. Tower Algier is tower.
54:56Algier Trey McBride keeps the good times rolling and they got a cool little bevy of receivers like a group of receivers.
55:02No, that's a dangerous offense. So yeah, no, I would say that's the better answer.
55:06And also I think Jadarian price is a little bit even better than a flex option.
55:11I think he looked good as well. And I think that Seahawks run game is going to really start, you know, turning along as the season goes along.
55:18Yeah. God, I'm so glad I got that Cardinals curious video up on my YouTube channel before the season started.
55:23That's like, I'm bringing the things I'm most grateful from, from the off season.
55:27I'm more grateful that I got that video done.
55:30Then I got to take a two week vacation in Europe.
55:33That's how good I feel about it. The fact that I recorded that video.
55:36Okay. Our last two year. First one Colts at chiefs, the Colts truth.
55:40The Colts offense might be a sneaky fantasy scam due to a terrible defense on the other side, or for the chiefs,
55:46Kenneth Walker will be a top three running back in fantasy football this season.
55:50Oh, I actually kind of like both of these.
55:52I'm going to go. Can I both kind of will be a top.
55:56Okay. Yeah. Top three fancy running back. Emmett Johnson though did look good.
55:59I will say that. And Kenneth Walker is a guy that has been banged up in the end over season.
56:05So that's it. But if healthy, that's, this is their offensive system this year.
56:08What you saw against the Broncos. This is what they're going to do this year.
56:12That's right. And that was proof of concept. It was my theory on it and good to see it going to come to fruition.
56:19No, but he's going to get a lot of touches.
56:22He's going to get touchdowns. We didn't even get to see some screens with him yet too much.
56:26He's going to get some screen touches and they're going to run the ball and pound the rock.
56:31So yeah. Canine would be a top three fancy, fancy running back.
56:35But the Colts one is kind of a fun one too.
56:38Cause yeah, I'm not that defense looks pretty crappy.
56:40Yeah. Yeah. That defense. And this is the thing.
56:42Remember it coming out of Thursday night football. There was all the, uh, not Thursday night football last week, the Australia game.
56:48There's all this discourse about, well, you got all these cornerbacks and you're playing a bunch of zone coverage.
56:53Like, what are you doing? What are you doing?
56:56It's like, well, if you play man cover it, you know, for the Rams against the Niners.
57:00Well, if you play man coverage, you can have two great man coverage corners, but everybody else in the defense will then also have to play man coverage.
57:08And like, then you're going to have one of those Rams linebackers and man coverage against freaking Christian McCaffrey, probably not a good idea.
57:15And that's kind of what the Colts did in week one against the Ravens.
57:18Oh my God. We know you have, we know you have sauce Gardner and ward and those guys are good man coverage corners.
57:25You don't have anybody else that can cover like Zay flowers when he's in the backfield or, or all these other things that they're doing there.
57:32So yeah, I think that unless, you know, Lou Anna rumo is going to have to get back in the lab and
57:37figure something else out there other than like, just push the man coverage button.
57:41Cause that defense, if not, is going to get cooked on the other side.
57:45And I don't know where you're at with Daniel Jones, but I do think it could be a little scammy on that
57:51other, on the Colts side of things. I'm a little scared of what Daniel Jones looked like.
57:56He's not really pushing off that leg. And, and also the other thing too, not even just a 49ers matchup.
58:01Did anyone ever watch Trent McDuffie with the chiefs or what?
58:04Like, or Dylan Watson, they, they run zone and zone blitzes.
58:07They're extremely good zone players and blitzers and, and, and trap corners.
58:10And that's why the Rams got them because they run a lot of zone.
58:14I, I felt, you know, it's so crazy to me that people were just like, oh, you got a corner now.
58:20Now you run a bunch of man coverage. Now everyone's PS2 and now everyone's going to live that way.
58:25And that's not the defensive system. The Rams run, they're a heavy zone team.
58:29So I don't know that one, that one was that whole takeaway.
58:32That was not my takeaway from that game. My takeaway, it was like, you're like, I might take away.
58:37It was not that put it that way. My takeaway was like Matthew Stafford.
58:41Are you blind right now? That was my takeaway from that game.
58:44Not why is Trent McDuffie and Jalen Watson playing man, not playing man coverage.
58:48Well, perfect. On that note, our final game here is giants at Rams.
58:51Our giants truth. Jackson dart is taking a leap certified top 10 fantasy quarterback.
58:55And Isaiah likely will be a top 10 tight end along the way for the ride.
58:59Always tough when you've got the three parter here is the truth or for the Rams.
59:04Can we really just blame everything here on the bad flight slash plan?
59:07Yeah. My thing with Stafford is, is he sleepy old man?
59:10A little sleepy after the 15 hour flight, you know, on the same day, like maybe just a little tired there, Matthew Stafford.
59:16Which one do you think is more true? Nate?
59:19This is tough. I'm going to say, I'm going to blame everything on the bad flight plan as more of a true.
59:25And this is tough though, because dark did look a little more competent, but I really do like the Isaiah likely part of this.
59:31That's real. I would say maybe of, if I could chop this up, the likely as a top 10 tight end is
59:37I would say the one I bet them or I have as the most truthy thing here.
59:42Truthiness. But I would say really blaming on the bad flight and plan.
59:45It looks like the Rams were there betting on weeks two through 18, as opposed to trying to just win one game a week, one in Australia.
59:53That's what it appeared looked like to me. I understand some of the science in this, this, I don't even want to get into that.
59:59We've seen too many tweets on it, but I do think that they are just kind of like, let's kick the can
60:05down the road and deal with everything in week two.
60:08And I, I, I have to see it, but Stafford did look a little worrisome to me as far as how he was seeing the game.
60:15But like you said, this is a guy with a bad back that just flew 18 hours.
60:20So maybe it's just that, but it is something I'm keeping my eye on.
60:23Like he wasn't pulling the trigger on some throws.
60:26And that was curious to me for a guy that has a lot of reps in this offense.
60:31So I am keeping my eye on that. Yeah.
60:33I'll, I'll just finish on the giants here and say Jackson dart just played really well through like a very catchable football,
60:39like layered some throws over to Malik neighbors at the second level in particular, like on one of those outbreaking routes.
60:45So that was a really good throw by him.
60:47And this happens with these Greg Roman offenses. And I feel that offense felt more Greg Roman than Matt Nagy in, in
60:53week one, like those guys get a good bump in, in the first season there.
60:57Cause like Greg Roman does get a lot of crap on the internet and you know, everybody's taking their shots on Greg
61:03Roman at times, but I mean, he has sound offenses that can be advantageous when they get into these heavy personnel looks and put teams in binds.
61:10And I feel like dart will be the beneficiary of that.
61:13So I will say that is more true. The top 10 fantasy quarterback and likely a top 10 fantasy tight end.
61:19I'm in on that one. Okay. We are going to take a quick break.
61:23We come back. We're doing the flex check. Who should you put into flex?
61:27Who should you not? We'll get into that right after this.
61:30All right, we're back. And here is this week's flex fit check presented by verse.
61:34A great fantasy flex player does it all just like verse guys where build your lineup, a versatile looks fit for whatever the week throws at you.
61:41And each week we take a look at five players on the flex line.
61:45And we tell you if they should start or sit based on their matchup.
61:49And it's kind of tough, right? Nate, when we just have one week of matchup data, we don't really know if these defenses are good or bad.
61:56We don't really know what these roles look like, but that's the fun part of things here.
62:00Let's start with a guy that we do know when he is fully healthy is good.
62:05That is Alec Pierce, Colts wide receiver going against the Kansas City Chiefs defense.
62:09Okay. I got like, you know, the two, the two wolves here.
62:12All right. Are talking to each other. I thought Alec Pierce in a limited snap count look pretty good.
62:17I look pretty good in week one. I agree.
62:19And I like Alec Pierce. We're pure. We're a Pierce positives.
62:22Me and you. Yes. You know, but we also are a little worried about the Daniel Jones, like being able to push
62:28the ball vertically, I think is probably the biggest problem right now.
62:31And oh man, that Chiefs defense made Bo Nix, Davis Webb and all the pass protection, the rules and stuff there up front.
62:38They made that. They made their lives hell in week one.
62:41So how do we feel about Pierce going against this defense here?
62:44I feel Pierce better about Pierce long-term in this season because also his route tree was a little different.
62:49It felt like it wasn't as vertical dependent. A lot of in breakers, a lot of stuff working over the middle, encouraging.
62:55That's a little bit because Daniel Jones, that's where he's going to throw his target charts.
62:59Pretty funny in that game. A lot of stuff at five to 10 yards over the middle of the field.
63:05But that is why I'm worried is that going against a Steve Spagnuolo defense, I'd rather have the boom bust version of
63:11Alec Pierce because it's the gas or be gas launch it.
63:14Let him have those vertical throws. So I do think that I'm not super high on this matchup this week, but there are certain matchups.
63:20I really like Pierce just because of an expanded route tree.
63:23So more desperation flex for me than like, oh, lock it in, put it in here this week.
63:28So more of a sit than a start, at least leaning just this week because it's just the chiefs matchup.
63:34Yeah, I'll probably have Downs who had a great usage in week one in terms of like he finally got a full snap count.
63:40He started off really hot and then the offense kind of just it was a bad matchup again against the Ravens defense,
63:46which played, I thought, really well at all three levels on Sunday.
63:49You know, I think Downs will probably rank a little higher for me because I think they will have to sort of check things down.
63:56We saw that with Denver in this one. But I think I'll still have Pierce as like a fringe top 35 ish receiver.
64:02Like once we get into the Cardinals receiver zone where, you know, those guys have a bad matchup against the Seahawks, you know, you have Cortland Sutton.
64:10I'm like, let's looking at kind of consensus ranks right now.
64:13You know, digs, Brian Thomas. I think Pierce is totally fine there because there were going back and watching the Waddle film.
64:18There were definitely open windows downfield. It just the pass detection was a mess.
64:22I thought for Denver, like the running backs, the tight ends and stuff.
64:26And I trust Indianapolis to be a little more buttoned up in that way.
64:30So I think they can wad it up in protection and we'll see if Daniel Jones can get the football down the field.
64:36But I do agree with you. It's it's volatile for Alec Pierce here this week.
64:40Let's go to the running back position. Let's talk to Corey Krosky merit going against a Dallas Cowboys defense that obviously looked really bad in week one.
64:47Yeah. And you're hoping maybe at home, the Cowboys defense amps it up a little bit.
64:51It's and I don't know if the commanders have that bully ball to them that the, you know, the giants can get
64:57to and really give them bad matchups. I think they want to trot out lighter, lighter stuff and lighter.
65:03It's really what Jane Daniels just prefers. The under center stuff just didn't look good.
65:07I think he went one of six from under center and it was just the overthrow to Antonio Williams.
65:12And yeah, that game script with everything. Also, that's where Jane and Daniels whole thing is he was really good on late down.
65:18So maybe the Cowboys don't want to see that.
65:20But, but having said all that, I do think he's a fine kind of start this week.
65:25Just also too, cause the receiving is the linebackers had a lot of issues with that Cowboys team.
65:30So where I don't think the run game will be as juicy as it was that the giants had.
65:35I do think he'll have some receiving opportunities, especially as they'd want to get them out.
65:39The Cowboys also don't blitz a lot or they shouldn't blitz a lot.
65:43So that can kind of get him more reps on the field because they probably trust other guys more than bill.
65:48So yeah, I actually kind of like him as a, again, like an okay start more as a more because of the
65:54receiving stats that he can gather up this week.
65:57Yeah. I'll probably have him just below the true running back to range, you know, Aaron Jones without, without Mason, I'll have ranked ahead of him.
66:04Yeah. Basial Tootin versus Denver, I think is like an interesting call, probably pretty similar profiles there.
66:08And it just feel way better about the Jags offense.
66:11We'll see about Ramondre Stevenson who, you know, is Trayvon Henderson going to be back.
66:15But like once we get into the Jadarian price, like no pass game floor, Quinchon Judkins, no pass game floor.
66:21I think I would take a JCM there who again might not project for a bunch of catches because Rashad white is
66:27still there, but I mean, JCM is just the better back and like they need explosive ability on the field.
66:32And I think this is a decent enough matchup against Dallas.
66:35I will say he's a, in the flex range is probably a guy that I think is a, you know, solid, very
66:41much boom bust because you know, you're, you're dealing with, uh, with matchups or with, uh, touchdowns and everything there.
66:46I'll probably go, uh, for that him in that range.
66:49Next one, Devo Samuel with the Miami dolphins. Pretty good start.
66:52I think if you need, if you need to help this week, right.
66:55Yeah. Yeah. I think this is an easy start, at least for me, uh, dolphins defense.
67:00I think on the back end is not going to be great.
67:03I think Kyle Shanahan and what Jeff Halfley does on defenses and exotic or crazy.
67:07Um, yeah, so I'm, I think this is one of the, of the, of the ones we're going to talk about.
67:13Actually, I think this is the easiest start, uh, call for me because also we got the, the strip club news as well.
67:19So yeah, I think Devo is a pretty easy start matchup usage, everything.
67:22Uh, I really do. Especially. I think the weakness of that dolphins defense will be not just big plays, but just stuff work.
67:29I don't know. Yeah. Stuff stuff, stuff working over the middle stuff, movement stuff, I think is more of the weakness.
67:34Cause I think the corners have a chance, which means more Mike Evans, fewer Mike Evans.
67:39So I think this might be a big Devo week actually.
67:42Yeah. I mean, just if you can get him on those linebackers and stuff and coverage, he's, he's not even really like
67:48a real receiver, you know, at this point he's kind of the fun house mirrors version of himself.
67:52So, uh, you're going to look to get him against those linebackers.
67:56I will say dolphins ran out single high, a decent bit in week one.
67:59So I think there could be some opportunities for shot plays with Mike Evans.
68:03Uh, and I think that will be like, he could have some big plays down the sideline.
68:08Like the real thing is just start your 49ers this week.
68:11Like, but I think Debo is within that mix, uh, certainly as well.
68:14We're actually going to stick in that same game for our next one here.
68:18And I can, I'm very fascinated to talk about this player with you.
68:22Caleb Douglas going against the San Francisco 49ers. Douglas had a really nice week.
68:25One cleared 90 yards, probably like maybe the only bright spot for the Miami dolphins in week one.
68:30Um, I thought he was impressive. I thought he had some good routes on tape.
68:34Um, you know, he plays on the perimeter. Mostly nice week.
68:37One debut for, uh, Caleb Douglas. Have you gotten a chance to watch the dolphins back and see Caleb Douglas?
68:43Like, where are you at with this? Just through the first quarter film wise, but I did watch it as far as,
68:49you know, I usually kind of go through and watch TV copy try to on Sundays, um, little boom busty, but that's fine.
68:55I think because that's more of the quarterback than Douglas.
68:58Um, so, but also I think cause the pass rush of the 49ers isn't make Malik Willis do a lot of out of structure stuff.
69:04So I actually, I'm saying all that in a positive way for Douglas.
69:08Cause it's like, I think that he can get so many of those scramble plays, those broken plays working out for him.
69:14So not maybe a high reception total, but I actually think they, you know, I'm going to yards could be there this, this week with a couple chunks.
69:21Um, like that's how I view that passing game is more chunky than efficient.
69:25So I'm actually fine with it. Uh, because 49ers defense did a great job.
69:29They, I think they're going to be a little susceptible to the run, but I think Douglas is valid if you, I
69:35mean, if you don't have anybody else right now, I'm not starting cable dogs this week, but I do think he's actually more of a fairly good start.
69:42Actually, if you do have them and you don't really have anything else at flex.
69:46Yeah. Yeah. If you're playing in a, and I ha I actually have him on one of these rosters where it's like
69:52three plus flexes, you start like the bunch of wide receivers.
69:55I'm going to throw him out there because I liked what I saw enough, you know, and as a prospect, uh, I
70:01thought he reminded me a lot of Quinton Johnston, but was better at the catch point.
70:06And, um, just, just an interesting player. Like the way they move is very similar.
70:10And obviously one guy was a surprise third round pick and one guy is a disappointing first round pick.
70:15So I think you can kind of even out there in terms of where we're at.
70:19Uh, he's not nearly the same specimen that QJ can be after the catch, but on breaking routes in particular, this was
70:25the thing that, that kind of took me by surprise going back and charting Caleb Douglas as a prospect.
70:30Like he can snap off routes over the middle.
70:33He just didn't get a lot of those opportunities in the offense that he came from, you know, at Texas tech definitely
70:39got those opportunities in week one, uh, with the Miami dolphins.
70:42Like that's the way this offense wants to work.
70:44So I think he, he passes the eye tests of a guy that I think can play in the NFL, which is
70:50good because they need guys that can play in the NFL and this Miami dolphins roster.
70:54Uh, and so I think again, he's, he's definitely a dart throw.
70:58Like you can easily get worse than the projections here, which is three catches for 40 yards.
71:02But if you connect on a couple of big plays, you could also get better than that.
71:07So definitely a boom bust, like deeper flex play option for me.
71:10Last one here. And I'm curious how long you think this guy will be on the flex radar common guy against the
71:16Minnesota Vikings, man, my none guy ripping off that big, long run.
71:19You know, I, I didn't know. I didn't know that was like in his bag, man.
71:23He is a really impressive runner. He's a, obviously we know who he is.
71:27We know the bears offense rules. Like how long, um, can we have common guy on the flex radar, Nate, or is
71:33he going to establish himself as more of a, even though he's running by two for his own team, like a guy
71:39that we're starting every single week in fantasy? Um, man, I think it's still, maybe this isn't the week for it.
71:45Uh, you know, the floor as and everything, I just think of the game flows can be a little bit different, um, for this team.
71:52So like, I think he's more flex relevant or starting what relevant down the road.
71:56Um, depending on what just more of a run heavy script, I think there's going to be a little bit more pass heavy for the bears.
72:03I think they're going to want to chuck it a little bit more, which means more swift.
72:07I really have to see to how they, who they trust most in protection right now as well, just because of those cheapies you can get.
72:14So Mononga is a good player. It's really more just like he's a thumper that has a little bit of juice as
72:20we got to see in that one thing. I, or that one big run.
72:24I think there's more of a swift game just because I just see the game flow being more a little bit more pass heavy for the bear.
72:31So I'm a little pessimistic on him this week, optimistic about him as the season goes along and just based on how the bears offense is.
72:38Yeah. I mean, they're definitely going to be games where they can saddle up both these guys for a lot of touches.
72:44I'm with you that this probably won't be the week and yeah, you know, I think they just really trust Deandre Swift
72:50right now to be that type of player. So a really interesting, a really interesting player there.
72:55And also like, I would just say once you get to the running back 30 ish zone in, in fantasy.
73:00So again, we're, we're in the, we're in the flex radar here, you know, it's a great offense.
73:05So if you want to break ties in favor of him, that's fine.
73:09Cause you're also going to find names like Rico Dowdle, Tony Pollard getting in that range here pretty soon.
73:14So you can project those guys for more touches, but oh my God, it's going to be ugly touches.
73:19So when I'm guy is going to be an interesting player to talk about every single week, I would agree that this
73:25is probably not one of his weeks that projects best on paper, but you can at least go touchdown chasing in the bears offense.
73:31Cause they're going to score a lot of touchdowns every single week.
73:35Okay. We are going to take our next quick break.
73:37We come back. We're talking Thursday night football bills lions.
73:40It's a big matchup. We'll get into that right after this.
73:43All right. We're back. It is time for a little Thursday night football here.
73:47We've got Detroit lions, Buffalo bills. The bills are four and a half point home favorites, a 54 and a half point total.
73:53We are expecting a lot of fireworks in this one.
73:56Nate, before we get into your props and what you're looking at in this game, a little worried about the Detroit lions offensive line coming into this game.
74:03Uh, panace school. He's going to be playing at left tackle left guard.
74:07Christian mahogany is out. Cade may is the center is on IR.
74:10As we know, Tate ratledge. He's going to be playing a right guard, Blake Miller, rookie, right tackle, first round pick.
74:16He's out. They're pretty much down three of their five starting offensive linemen, which, um, I don't know.
74:20I, I don't know how you feel about the bills defense after week one.
74:24It was a little, okay, maybe need some work on this.
74:27Uh, but some good, some bad still going down three or five starting offensive lineman, not ideal heading into a short week here.
74:33Well, how about Blake Miller who never missed a start in college started like 50 something games is now banged up and missing time.
74:40As soon as he gets into the NFL, like that is just brutal.
74:43Uh, yeah, not ideal. The lions offense. I really do want to look in the second half.
74:48Again, I get through a lot of games and it's like, I gotta do show.
74:52Um, so I really do think that with them, I think they're going to try and just keep it simple.
74:57Um, going against a bills defense that did fine.
75:00Like Dion Walker was really good for the bills front.
75:03Um, they just, again, don't have a lot of juice, uh, on the backend, you know, like they just are more just okay.
75:09Jim Leonard, who was really aggressive in college. He's a Rex Ryan guy was safer.
75:13It felt like they ran a lot of quarters, a lot of just kind of like keep everything in front.
75:18I think you can really pepper them on the outside in that quarters.
75:22Like you got to see Nico Collins kind of eat on that as well.
75:26Um, Jared Goff, of course likes to rock stuff over the middle.
75:29Um, I could see a lot of kind of crossing routes and kind of quick hitters in this game.
75:34And also, you know, uh, just throw out my first prop on that side of the ball.
75:39Uh, Jameer Gibbs over 19 and a half rushing attempts minus one 10, even though they, the backups aren't really there for this run game.
75:45And I think just cause if you have backup offensive lineman, Jim Leonard might throw out some stuff at you that you
75:51just want to kind of keep it simple and just, Hey, let's run it.
75:55Let's shorten the game. Let's kind of get out of here.
75:58Um, or I should say, get out of here, but just kind of just pound the rock, control the game as much
76:04as we can and help out our backup offensive lineman.
76:07So I see a lot of screens and I see a lot of run game coming from this lines offense.
76:12I, this is maybe a hot take. I listen, it's not what you think.
76:16I kind of wish that the lions had been a little bit more serious about the running back to spot.
76:21I know that we're all like gushed about, Oh my God, Jameer Gibbs.
76:25He's going to, he's the runaway one Oh one in fantasy.
76:28And he, and he was, and he should have been, and he touched the ball 34 freaking times in week one, but
76:34he touched the ball 34 freaking times in week one.
76:36I know they had, again, there was an overtime game.
76:39It was wild. There's a lot of plays run on both sides, but they just, I mean, they have nothing at the running back to spot Isaiah Pacheco.
76:47I don't even think was a serious plan to begin with.
76:50And he's going to miss maybe the entire season.
76:52Like he's not going to be back for months.
76:54I mean, I'm, I am a little bit nervous about Jameer Gibbs.
76:58Not, I mean, listen, I'm not, I don't want to put anything negative in the air, but just about 34 times we're
77:04turning around our short week where Nate's like, we're going to saddle them up for a bunch of work again.
77:09Uh, it just makes me like, I do wish he just had somebody to give him a little bit of a breather.
77:15I understand why they moved off Montgomery, but. But this makes me like a touch nervous with Gibbs.
77:20Yeah. Pun intended. Uh, no, I really do think that, uh, no, I do think that I I'm too, he's not the biggest guy.
77:26This isn't Earl Campbell. This isn't Ricky Williams. This is not a 230 pounder built to last like that.
77:32You want him in space. You don't want him grinding out yards and on top of it, they have no one in protection.
77:38So he has to be out there for that.
77:40So it's, it's, they're a weird team. I am trying to figure out the contract.
77:44Oh, I know. Yeah. Thankfully he got paid. He's a hell of a player.
77:48The lines are just in a weird place right now.
77:51I am trying to figure them out. I really am.
77:53I, I want six weeks before I have strong lines takes because offensively and defensively, which we'll get to in a sec.
77:59So I, but I do think that they will ride him a little bit, not ride him, but just kind of control that game flow.
78:06And I really, I'm just curious how aggressive Leonard is.
78:09Yeah, no, I think that's totally fair. And I mean, it's just on the lines offense.
78:13Like we just, it's hard to talk to them from a fantasy standpoint, because we just know where the football is going.
78:19Like we know where the football is going. It's going to be that way.
78:23Uh, Isaac Tesla is like a sacrificial player. He's just out there.
78:26He's going to allow them to move these guys around.
78:29Like I'm on Ross St. Brown is a superstar.
78:31Jameer Gibbs. He had a bad game in week one.
78:34He's going to have bad games sometimes folks like in the aggregate, it ends up looking really good, but we know the
78:40journey to get there is, is like this it's up and down.
78:43And it's not just the stats perspective. Like he's a volatile player.
78:46He's one of these guys. That's a number two receiver, good number two receiver, but he's a number two because he's a volatile player.
78:53So whatever, like totally fine. I, and I think that there were enough, it was interesting to me, Nate, watching the bills
78:59defense where, I mean, Christian Benford is one of those guys that can ISO up on a receiver and, you know, he
79:05had his moments against Nico and things like that.
79:07But I mean, it's, he leaves you really vulnerable at the other cornerback two spots.
79:11So I think, and, and with this team, I'm not even saying like, Oh, that's going to be good for Jamison Williams.
79:17Cause I think this would be a big St.
79:20Brown game with just some of the miscommunications they had in coverage and the way they were really, and I, maybe they won't do it.
79:26I thought this was very strange. Like I'm not, it's Jim Leonard's first game.
79:30So I'm not taking shots at him, but it was kind of crazy how they were just kept shading to like outside leverage the whole time.
79:37And just, he just went crazy on them at in break.
79:40Cause I'm like, if you guys watch this, this, these two guys, they, they know on in breaking routes, like for the
79:46last three seasons, I did think that was a little strange.
79:49And that leads me to say like St. Brown is a guy who cooks on in breaking routes.
79:54Uh, James Williams, when he's rolling, he does his best stuff on the end cuts.
79:58Yes. And that's what Jared golf loves to throw.
80:00No, I'm with you. I, I couldn't find a prop.
80:03I liked the prices weren't great on all my wrestling Brown, but I think it's more of a him week this week.
80:09Cause I also could see crossers, you know, uh, chip up into crossers, you know, all those that he loves eating on.
80:15I could see some designer plays in the low red zone for him because it just how, uh, again, that quarters, it was a true shell.
80:22It was so strange. It's not what I expected out of Leonard.
80:25I, I just thought there was going to be a little bit more variety and he kind of like, well, I think
80:31he was just kind of like, all right, what do I got?
80:34That's what it felt like. Leonard was kind of like, what do I have on defense?
80:39All right. And then he'll adjust as the season goes along.
80:42But not now it's a short week. So usually there's carryover from week one into week two.
80:46So I expect more of the same into week two, um, or I'm sorry, if you're the short week, you know, usually
80:52you kind of carry over game plan going into a Thursday night game.
80:56So I expect more quarters. So to me, that's all my Ross St.
80:59Brown. Um, I don't see a lot of goes and stop routes to Jameson Williams.
81:03Jared Goff doesn't really throw the goes anyways. And I just think it's going to be those in breakers.
81:08And to me, that's all my Ross St. Brown.
81:11On the bill side of things, uh, with their offense, we haven't had a chance to talk about that bill's offense.
81:17I watched that game on Sunday. It was one of my games for the recap show.
81:21And I've watched it back since I'm really excited about what I saw at a Buffalo's offense on a Sunday.
81:26I mean, they were ripping it down the field, Dalton Kincaid, two catches for over 70 yards out of 13 personnel.
81:32Um, he I've dogged on Dalton Kincaid before for just being kind of a weird player and not being explosive or I
81:38thought he looked bigger and more explosive noticeably, uh, last week.
81:41So really excited to see him go against this defense in particular.
81:44I don't think they have somebody who can hang with him on the backend, DJ more immediate impact there.
81:49And they're one of these teams that went from 29th to 19th in my pace score primarily because they went from 32nd in seconds per play to eighth.
81:57Like they played faster. Their pass rate over expectation went up.
82:00It was pretty clear that the substitute teacher, Nate, the first thing he's going to do is going to get in there is throw that football.
82:07Okay. We're throwing the football now because Josh Allen's buddy is the head coach.
82:11I think that's going to continue going forward. Yeah.
82:13I mean, it was really impressive when they, they only had like a 30% rushing success rate.
82:18Which is the bills can really pound the rock.
82:20And so they, it's like, okay, we'll just, you know, use number 17 and what just, and I use this term.
82:26He created his own luck at moments, but that's what the best players do.
82:30You know, that throw to Galt and Cade and then DJ more, uh, going into the half.
82:34Like, so I, I'm, I'm really optimistic about what that offense looked like and what Josh Allen looked like.
82:39Cause I think that was the most he's pushed the ball in like five years in the game.
82:44Um, I had, Oh, here we go. They also had five.
82:47They also drew five combined defensive PIs, defensive holdings and illegal contacts.
82:50Um, but Josh Allen average 11.9 air yards per attempt, almost three yards past the sticks on average, 29% explosive pass rate.
82:56Um, this was the tie for the second highest amount of throws of 10 or more air yards in his entire career, 53.8%.
83:03And 27% of his throws went 20 or more air yards.
83:05It's there's going to still be that some of that screen stuff and some of that movement stuff, but I love the protection plan.
83:12The bills offense had, they were moving the pocket left and right.
83:15They weren't letting these guys tee off on them.
83:18So, and again, Joe Brady is feeling himself right now going into week one.
83:21He even said he wants to, I think he said, we're not going to put on a show.
83:26We're going to put on a clinic at home and the bill.
83:30So I think he's going to have, yeah, I know he's feeling himself right now.
83:34So did you see him pop his shirt off in the locker room?
83:37The white boy chain hang out. I like, he's like to see that.
83:41He's copying Ben Johnson a little too much. So it's like, yeah, well, it remains to be seen as the season goes
83:47along, but it's still a high floor. And I, it was like, they passed the first test is maybe the best way to put it.
83:53Or I could put it too. And I'm optimistic about how they'll look against this defense too, by the way.
83:59Yeah. Yeah. I want to come back to the defense point.
84:02It's just like with Joe Brady, it was, and I said this, I was like, I promise you guys, he doesn't want to do this.
84:08It's like everybody eats, rotate the personnel and like throw a bunch of bubble screens.
84:12This guy's got a really fun, interesting concept of plays.
84:15They just don't have any players. Now they have players and the buck stops with him.
84:20I think he can, he can control the joystick a little bit more.
84:23Obviously. I'll tell you what, Ben looks a little bit better with his shirt off than Joe Brady does.
84:28Joe, if you're going to pop the shirt off, you got to at least get a tan.
84:33All right. Got to at least, you know, you got to do it helps as someone that's half Irish, you know, that,
84:39that it does, it does help to try and try and get at least a little semblance of a tan.
84:44Cause mine doesn't usually stick as well. If you're listening to us on the audio side, we were on the, the YouTube,
84:50we had the Joe Brady shirtless pickup. So this is my thoughts on that, but like the scheme in week one, why
84:56do you like this offense against this defense in particular?
84:59Oh man. They're beat up on the back end.
85:01They're not extremely exotic defense that helps mitigate that.
85:04They're coming off a short week and it's Josh Allen, not Tyler Shuck.
85:07And it's a bills offense with a lot of returning players.
85:10And it's not a whole bunch of new faces.
85:12So like even some of my props, like I really like Khalil Shakir this week.
85:17Tyler Shuck last week when targeting the slot, when 12 of 17 for 197 yards, targeting the slot, 11.6 yards per attempt.
85:22Yeah. I really liked that. That's where Khalil Shakir gets some work.
85:26So I feel like it's going to be pepper in them.
85:29So it's 50 or more receiving yards plus 120 for Khalil Shakir.
85:32He's just one of the mouths I think is going to eat this week, but he's just the one I identified anytime touchdown to him as well.
85:39I could see a crossing route working to him.
85:42Just somewhere in the red zone, low red zone where, cause the lions like to run a lot of man coverage for
85:48better, for worse, even with backup fricking DBs in there.
85:50That's what they do. So I don't even know who's going to guard them in the slot.
85:55Like if they want to run man coverage, if they want to go zone, that's not what they're comfortable with.
86:00That's where Khalil Shakir does a lot of work.
86:03So that's a guy I've really ID'd. I like to don't Kade props if you want those as well.
86:08And on top of it, Josh Allen over 21 and a half completions.
86:11I think there's going to be some screens and some peppering.
86:14I think they're going to lead into dropping back.
86:17I don't think they're going away with that. And then also on top of that, this is really my more home run
86:23one is Josh Allen to score two or more touchdowns plus three 60, whether it's sneaks or whether it's a scramble in
86:29the red zone against all that man coverage, or, you know, what's really good against man coverage is design runs to the
86:35quarterback just because of how everybody flows with the tight ends and everything.
86:38Think Josh Allen can maybe get a couple of scores there on it with his legs.
86:42Ninth highest man coverage rate for the Lions on second to fourth down in week one.
86:47So, yeah, I think we'll see a lot of that.
86:49And it's a good call on Khalil Shakir, too.
86:52I noted that his route tree was definitely going a little bit deeper.
86:55He had two immediate deep shots, two catches for 45 yards on his first two catches.
87:00So good like fantasy sleeper here is Khalil Shakir in this matchup.
87:03All right. It sounds like we're both expecting a lot of points.
87:06I am excited to see this Thursday night football matchup.
