Aaron Jones

NegativeInjury55:08

The source is finished drafting Aaron Jones, citing a lack of confidence in his ability to stay healthy despite his current status.

Insight page

Alec Pierce

NegativeInjury53:51

The source advises against drafting Alec Pierce, noting he is still limping and recovering from ankle surgery that he delayed until after signing his contract. The source views his health status as a major red flag for the upcoming season.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

NegativeInjury16:49

The source is concerned about drafting Ashton Jeanty due to an ankle injury described as 'more low than high,' which creates ambiguity regarding his availability for Week 1. Because he is likely to miss the season opener, the source has dropped him in their rankings to the tier of Kyron Williams and Josh Jacobs, advising against drafting him at his current second-round ADP.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeRole37:16

The source expresses concern that Brian Thomas may not play a full workload due to the presence of Travis Hunter, who is rotating in during OTAs and training camp. The source notes that getting Hunter into the game could come at the expense of Thomas's playing time rather than Parker Washington's.

Insight page
NegativeBust58:51

The source labels Brian Thomas Jr. as 'radioactive' and 'toxic,' placing him on a 'do not draft' and 'do not keep' list. Despite acknowledging his talent, the source expresses deep personal frustration with his performance last year and refuses to roster him in any capacity.

Insight page
NegativeValue60:49

The source expresses extreme skepticism toward Brian Thomas, labeling him a 'roster clogger' and stating they would not keep him even in the 16th round of a draft.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveBust53:22

The source is avoiding Carnell Tate in drafts, citing a lack of trust in quarterback Cam Ward and the overall low-ceiling nature of the Titans' offense. The source notes that Tate has looked sloppy in preseason and faces target competition from Wan'Dale Robinson.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeBust25:04

The source includes Chris Olave on their 'do not draft' list due to significant injury concerns, specifically his history of concussions and a pulmonary embolism. The source notes that Olave's contract specifically excludes injury guarantees for these conditions, adding a layer of risk. While the source acknowledges Olave's talent and high-end production, they prefer to avoid the risk of a season-ending injury at his current third-round draft cost.

Insight page
NegativeBust29:55

The source advises against drafting Chris Olave due to concerns over his concussion history and the mental toll of worrying about his health during games. While acknowledging he is a talented player, the source suggests he is a 'do not draft' candidate because the risk of injury makes him less fun to roster, and they would prefer players like Tee Higgins or Terry McLaurin at a similar value.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeValue42:20

The source warns that Colston Loveland is being drafted too high (ADP 42nd overall) based on a small sample size of games against weak linebacker groups. The source argues he is priced at his ceiling and suggests he should be drafted one round later, noting that his breakout games occurred while other key receivers were injured.

Insight page
PositiveValue60:52

The source identifies Colston Loveland as a preferred 'marry' option in a hypothetical exercise, citing his long-term prospects as a fourth-round pick.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeValue38:12

The source advises against drafting David Montgomery, citing his move to a Texans offense that ranked 29th in yards per carry and 31st in rushing touchdowns in 2025. Despite his volume potential, the source views him as a 'dead zone' running back who is being drafted too high (around 50th-60th overall) compared to his historical ranking of 35th.

Insight page
NegativeValue59:02

In a hypothetical exercise, the source debates the value of David Montgomery, ultimately choosing to 'kill' him in one scenario and 'marry' him in another, reflecting mixed sentiment on his long-term outlook.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeBust38:08

The source classifies the entire Steelers offense as a 'do not draft' group, specifically noting that DK Metcalf is a high-variance player who does not fit well with Aaron Rodgers' current scheme. The source expects the Steelers to spread the ball around in 11 personnel, leading to a low-ceiling, frustrating experience for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveProjection8:17

The source views Drake London as a high-upside talent who was a top-five fantasy receiver with Michael Penix last year. While Tua Tagovailoa's play style is a poor fit, the source believes Penix is likely to start, making London a viable target in the late second or early third round. If Tua were the starter, London's value would drop significantly to a fourth-round pick or lower.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeUsage38:28

The source views Jalen Warren as potentially the most serviceable player in the Steelers' backfield, suggesting he has the best chance to become a fantasy-relevant asset, though the overall team remains a 'friend zone' for the source's draft boards.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury42:13

The source strongly advises against drafting Jeremiah Love, who is dealing with a high ankle sprain. The source believes the Cardinals are a 'tanking' team that will likely limit his touches to protect him, and any re-injury could jeopardize his future, making him a poor value at his current third-round ADP.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeInjury54:16

Jordan Tyson is dealing with a hamstring injury that will keep him out for two months; the source suggests he is a drop candidate who can be picked up later once he is healthy.

Insight page
NegativeInjury54:19

The source recommends avoiding Jordan Tyson, who is expected to be out for two months with a hamstring injury. The source suggests waiting to see if he is cut or becomes available later in the season rather than drafting him now.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeBust49:56

The source expresses deep frustration with Kyle Pitts, stating they will not be 'fooled' for a sixth consecutive season. Despite his age, the source views him as a player who consistently fails to meet expectations and is no longer worth the draft capital.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

NegativeUsage54:30

Makai Lemon has missed three weeks of training camp due to a hamstring injury and is not expected to start for at least three weeks; the source views him as a waiver wire player rather than a draftable asset.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury55:18

The source advises against drafting Malik Nabers due to concerns over his recovery from ACL and meniscus surgery, specifically noting lingering range of motion issues seven months post-op. The source is skeptical of his ability to play a full 17-week season and warns that any setback would be costly.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeProjection39:01

Michael Pittman is identified as the most likely Steelers player to provide weekly flex value, as he is expected to lead the team in targets, though the source remains generally down on the entire Steelers offense.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

NegativeValue39:57

Pat Freiermuth is viewed as a fine flyer or waiver wire addition, but the source warns against relying on him as a primary tight end due to the Steelers' rotation and the overall messiness of the team's passing offense.

Insight page

Tua Tagovailoa

NegativeBust10:15

The source expresses extreme concern regarding Tua Tagovailoa's status, citing reports that his performance has made it 'impossible' to name him the starter. The source describes him as the least 'toolsy' or physically limited quarterback, noting a lack of arm strength and mobility, and suggests he may no longer be an NFL-caliber quarterback or backup.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

NegativeRole44:22

The source labels Xavier Worthy a 'gadget player' rather than a traditional receiver, noting he struggles to run standard routes and frequently gets hit by teammates on crossing routes. His small frame and recurring shoulder issues make him a high-risk player who is difficult to rely on for consistent fantasy production.

Insight page
NegativeValue59:02

In a 'fuck, marry, kill' exercise, the source metaphorically kills Xavier Worthy, indicating he is the least preferred option among the group discussed.

0:56Welcome to the Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz.
1:00And I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck in parts of it.
1:03Still! We're still here. Los Angeles. We just got here.
1:06We just got here. City of Angels. We're going to go through the players we are not drafting.
1:11And some players we don't think you should draft.
1:13And there's also some players that... We're not saying you can't draft them, but we were like never going to draft them.
1:19Which I do think there's a little bit of a distinction.
1:22Hate the ADP, not the player. Well, some players we hate.
1:25Yeah, some players. We do hate some players. It's a mix of both.
1:29Guys, we're not drafting for various reasons, which we will get into.
1:32Yeah, there you go. We're going to go through, yeah, some news.
1:35A couple other fun things at the end. And we went on Bill Simmons' show this week, so that was fun.
1:41If you haven't seen that, check it out. On Tuesday morning, we went on.
1:45It's live on Netflix. So it's on Netflix currently right now.
1:48And I imagine it's also by this time on Bill's feed on Spotify.
1:51So go listen. And just a reminder, we have the Netflix...
1:54We will be live on Netflix on Friday. You go into the Netflix app on Friday.
1:58We'll be there. Ringer Fantasy Football Live Draft. It'll be three of us.
2:02Bill Simmons, Dave Chang, Joe House, Cousin Sal, Sean Fenton, obviously Mallory Rubin, Chris Ryan, Van Lathan, Tate Frazier.
2:07Oh, God. I always wonder who the 12th person is.
2:10They'll be so insulted. We did a 12-team league.
2:12We went to a 12-team league this year. We determined the draft order by anonymously assigning golf balls or like writing names
2:18on golf balls of every person in the league.
2:21And then Heifetz, DK, and I went to it like a golf simulator and just smashed balls with the driver.
2:26And whichever shot was the longest, first pick all the way down to last pick, we will be revealing that draft order video on social.
2:33So go to the Ringer Fantasy Football Instagram. We're going to have that on the Instagram page.
2:38You can see all the swing driver. I'm not a big golfer.
2:41You can see the draft order. I've golfed like maybe once or twice.
2:44Your swing looks better than mine. Your swing looks good.
2:47My swing, it works, but it's a little cockamamie.
2:49So it's, you know, people will be upset. Look, if it works, it works.
2:53All right. So there you go. Live draft. That's 2 p.m.
2:56Eastern, 11 a.m. Pacific on Friday, August 28th. It'll be really fun and a little deranged.
3:01Cannot wait. What is Bill going to wear this year?
3:03That's the question. What did Vance say last year with the beanie?
3:07I don't remember. It was funny. You have to watch Netflix and check it out.
3:11Last year you came in a Drake made jersey and a beanie, right?
3:14Yeah. Okay. Without further ado, actually with further ado, because we're going to throw to a break and take a quick break.
3:20And then after the ado, then we'll get into everything.
3:23This episode is presented by Verizon. Let me tell you all about Verizon's new simplicity plan.
3:27You get one plan, one price, just $30 a line per month, even for a single line.
3:32So while everyone is running four trade analyzers before offering a backup tight end, Verizon said one plan, one price.
3:37Sometimes the simplest move is the best one, like the simplicity plan.
3:40Head to Verizon.com today. For new customers, $30 per line includes auto pay and switch discount.
3:45Additional taxes, fees, and terms apply. Unlimited data is restricted to on-device smartphone usage.
3:49Domestic data roaming at 2G speed. Okay. This is the official do not draft list.
3:53It's a big deal, DK. D&D. Yeah. It is a big deal.
3:56Help you avoid those landmines. This is big. I actually, I feel, I usually stick to, I feel more strongly about players
4:02I don't want usually each year than players I do.
4:05Like the top eight guys I don't want every year, I am more strict over not taking them than I am to
4:10make sure I get the eight guys I like.
4:13Do you feel that way? Yeah. I have really hard avoids and usually even, unless it becomes ridiculously affordable, I usually just
4:19don't take like eight guys I don't want. Yeah, there's always a handful and this is probably pretty close to the list
4:25of guys that I just like do not consider at any point.
4:28Even if they are late, I'm just like, I gloss over their name.
4:32I don't even really pay attention to them. Well, because it's a double whammy.
4:35If you end up with a guy you didn't want and he sucks, it's just like the worst case scenario.
4:41Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it feels terrible. Gotta have some conviction in this world.
4:45So should we just, should I kick it off?
4:47I think let's do it. All right. The reason we're going to start here is there's a little bit of news around
4:53it and it's contingent on a couple things. So my do not draft list, and I believe it's on Heifetz as well,
4:59is Drake London, the receiver for the Falcons. Sucks because we like London.
5:03Love London as a talent. Think he's great. Problem is, if Tua was going to be the starting quarterback, we have some concerns about Drake London.
5:10If Michael Penix is the quarterback, last year with Penix, Drake London was like legitimately a top five wide receiver in fantasy.
5:16Right. His play style. His target rate was incredible.
5:18Going downfield, getting up, getting the ball. He was great in the red zone.
5:22He was great in the end zone. It works.
5:24Tua, I feel the exact opposite. He wants to get the ball out quick.
5:28Like it doesn't mesh as well with London style.
5:30It appears as though Michael Penix has won the quarterback competition against Tua.
5:34By default. Without playing. It's never happened before. It's never happened before.
5:37Running unopposed as the guy loses to a right in.
5:40My dad won. Just someone, quote unquote, my dad.
5:42The guy with the brace over there beat Tua, who's just been playing all camp.
5:46Our fear with Drake London the whole time was, well, surely Tua practicing can't lose to Michael Penix.
5:51Surely. He ran unopposed. Please don't call me Shirley.
5:54That was incorrect. So yeah, it appears as though if Michael Penix is healthy enough to play in week one, which it's starting to look like it is.
6:01I believe he's going to be the starting quarterback week one.
6:04Yeah. I'm kind of back in on Drake London.
6:07You have to factor in the fact that Penix is very injury prone.
6:10He's had multiple season-ending injuries. Three ACL injuries. Who's counting?
6:13Can I read the quote from NBC Sports? Please.
6:15This is Ian Rappaport. And it says, NFL Network's Ian Rappaport believes Tua Tungavailoa's play has made the plan to make him
6:21the starter at the beginning of the season, quote, impossible.
6:24Simply not possible. Below it, it says, rarely do you see a national reporter talk about a quarterback in these kinds of
6:30black and white terms as far as how well they're playing.
6:33So it's an alarming sign for Tua's fantasy value.
6:36I'm like, Tua's fantasy value? Impossible? No one cares about Tua's fantasy value.
6:39Impossible is the funniest word. He's making it impossible for them.
6:42I just love it. And even like the tweet, it says, Tua's play made it, quote, impossible to name him starter.
6:48Fucking brutal. Honestly, I feel less, I feel actually really, not vindicated, but I feel less crazy because watching him in the
6:54preseason, I'm not always like the preseason is the most important thing.
6:57You were on this immediately from the first fumbled snap.
7:00Dude, the problem with how Tua played the preseason was the fumbled snap was one of his better moments.
7:05Like everything, at least you didn't see him try to throw a football when he fumbled the ball.
7:10But when he tried to throw, him missing checkdowns to his left where he's a lefty, like not, I, yeah, he's not
7:16an NFL quarterback anymore and he's not, I don't think he's an NFL backup anymore.
7:20Is there any like correlated or comparison to this in terms of Tua in the sense that he led the NFL in
7:26passing yards two years ago and all of a sudden he has absolutely freaking lost it?
7:30Like he's lost everything. The first guy I think of is like maybe Carson Wentz type player who for a hot minute
7:36there was a candidate a couple of years or for a year and then got hurt, came back and just was not the same player.
7:43Maybe the Daniel Jones after he hurt his neck for a couple of years, he was really, really off.
7:48But the Tua thing, and I've said this a few times on the show, like he is the least toolsy quarterback.
7:54I don't know what's the word. He's like most physically limited.
7:57He can't move and he doesn't have arm strength and he can't, he's slow.
8:00So to tie it in a bow here, I would say if Michael Penix is starting, I think it's fine to take
8:06Drake London as like at the end of the second round.
8:09If Tua were starting, I think he'd be like a fourth rounder.
8:13So here's the problem. If Tua has made it impossible for them to start, then here's the, I'm, to be clear, I'm
8:19way more open to taking Drake London now that Michael Penix might play.
8:22The problem is how many weeks will Michael Penix play off his third ACL recovery?
8:26Michael Penix, who's kind of rushing back, so to speak, to get back to the starting because he's like, I can win this job immediately.
8:33Dude. But how, if he doesn't play, then it's going to, who is this other guy?
8:37You know who's the third string in Atlanta? Jack Strand.
8:40Jack Strand, who I, I mean, I. Are we down?
8:43Maybe. Jack Strand's probably going to play this year.
8:45So I'm like, that's my issue. More than Tua, right?
8:48So I think I'm more, I'm more in on Drake London, but I kind of think there's a serious chance that they skip if Penix get hurt.
8:55Cooper Rush. Is Cooper Rush on the Falcons? Yeah, no, they did sign Cooper Rush.
8:59I would, I mean, sure. Which, honestly, they might cut to it and have to keep Cooper Rush as the real backup.
9:05Because Cooper Rush only signed a few weeks ago.
9:08Jack Strand is an undrafted free agent out of Minnesota State Moorhead.
9:11And he's better than Tua. So we all agree, like, maybe end of the second round, third round now for Drake London is reasonable if Penix is playing.
9:18Yeah, it's just one of those, like, every week Penix plays, Drake London's going to be good.
9:23But it's like, okay, like, over the course of a season, do I want to use a second round pick on someone, a quarterback coming off his 30s?
9:31I think it's a late second, early third is the right spot.
9:34It's better now. Penix playing is, coming back and playing is better.
9:37Here's the way I'll put it. We believe there's like 11, 12 running backs that you've got to get.
9:42I don't think London should go before any of those guys.
9:45No, definitely. And then I like those top 11 running backs.
9:48And it depends on Ashton Jeanty, which we should talk about.
9:51And then it's, I would take Brock Bowers, AJ Brown, and then Drake London.
9:55And Devon Achan is like the last of those guys.
9:58And then I would take, um. If Penix pulls a hammy in a week and it's two up, I think London is like a top 50 player.
10:05Not a top 30 player. While we're talking about injuries though, real quick.
10:09Are we putting Ashton Jeanty to the do not draft list just solely out of like the ambiguity and how high you have to take them?
10:16Because there was a report today, because here's what we were wondering about Ashton Jensie, the Raiders running back, and he had a low, he did ankle sprain.
10:23And it's like, well, is it a low ankle sprain, which is a recovery time of days to weeks, or a high
10:29ankle sprain, which is weeks to months. And low, high, we want to figure it out.
10:34And then Ian Rappaport, also at Enderfield Network, reported that it's more low than high.
10:38Kind of an assistant to the general manager situation.
10:40Right. And that, to me, that- More low than high?
10:43People were like, oh, so it's a middle ankle sprain.
10:45I'm like, I think that means both. Middle ankle.
10:48Well, you don't often hear a mid ankle sprain.
10:50And I think that's, I think that means nothing.
10:53It's not a low ankle sprain though. I think if it's more low than high, that means that he has a low
10:59ankle sprain and a high ankle sprain. So I'm like, would you actually take Ashton Jensie until we get a diagnosis?
11:04Because I'm probably not. Not where he's going. I think he still has the name power and being a top pick in
11:10the draft that he's going to still go like the one-two turn.
11:14Don't you think? Or is he going to fall further than that?
11:17No, I think he'll be at the end of round two.
11:20If he's at the end of round two, I might be willing to do it still.
11:24Like Drake London, and the reason I bring it up, he's right around Drake London.
11:28Like Drake London is the beginning of where I'm talking about Ashton Jensie.
11:32I would say Jensie does not make my do not draft list, but I'm pretty worried about it.
11:37He's not going to play week one. It's like, you're going to draft a play in the second round and want to
11:43even play week one on a team that we're already hoping is better.
11:46So all of those 11 running backs we talked about, it's like all the guys at the top, Jameer Gibbs and Bijon,
11:52all the way down to like Kenneth Walker, Devon Achan is maybe the 11th?
11:56I think, yeah, Achan's the 11th and I think Jensie's right there.
11:59Are you taking Jensie after all of those guys?
12:02Is Jensie now at the bottom of the 12th?
12:04Is he now 12th? Yeah. Or do you want to drop him all the way down to that next year of like Kyron Williams, Josh Jacobs?
12:11Is he in there? That's where he is for me because I think he's not going to miss, he's going to miss week one.
12:18At that point, you're drafting an injured player with your second pick.
12:21I'd be higher than lower on that one. Yeah.
12:23Drop him in the low? I'm dropping him just below.
12:26I think I lean closer to Heifetz. I think he's closer to like Josh Jacobs.
12:30The thing with drafting injured players is the moment the season begins, you remember what it's like to have injured players.
12:36You're like, oh, so I have to play somebody else.
12:39Like you really want to start the season seeing a Q next to the guy you took first?
12:43He's out. Yeah. On like Thursday before week one.
12:46You're like, oh, I have to play Ja'Kory Krosky-Meritt in week one now who's also injured.
12:50Reading the little thing that says, imagine it's week one and in theory it's like, wow, clean slate.
12:55I have a bunch of healthy guys on my team.
12:58Week one reading Ashton Gentry quote, gonna give it a go in week one.
13:02You're like, we're already in hell. In all seriousness.
13:04Here we go again. You are like in the middle of the season.
13:08You're like, man, I don't even like fantasy football.
13:10Week one being immediately in the scrap of I need a backup running back.
13:14It's like getting woken up with somebody pouring cold water on you.
13:17You're like, I want to wake up softly. It sucks.
13:20Exactly. It's like one of those little light lamps that kind of wakes up slowly.
13:24One of the tricks people play at each other where there's like they start recording their phone and then one person just
13:30like flips out and like starts like panicking and then the other person immediately panics.
13:34Oh, I don't know that. No. What is that?
13:36Someone's just like, so it'd be standing here and be like, oh my God.
13:40Like it would like freak the other person out for nothing.
13:43That's what I was pretty steady right there. No, you were like a rock.
13:47I was like Kobe with the Matt Barnes. Yeah, that was, that was pretty good.
13:51Although I heard that the angle about, is that right?
13:54I've heard that too. Oh, is it bullshit? It's not nearly as cool.
13:57You didn't even see it. It's like to the side.
14:00That is like, that's like exposing O's the mentalist where I'm like, I'm so mad at the person who showed me that
14:06the Matt Barnes play wasn't as cool as it looked.
14:09What bothers you more? Travis Etienne being A-chan or it being O's the mentalist?
14:12Well, I'm not mad at Travis Etienne for doing the name thing.
14:16I said what bothers you more? O's the mentalist not being Oz is fucking insane.
14:20It does. It makes no sense. Is there any more famous two word, two letter pronunciation than Wizard of Oz?
14:25And he's like, no, call me O's. It's up there with Sonny.
14:28Because his name is O's. His first name is O's.
14:31Does that change things? It's a stage name. He's a magician.
14:34Is that really his first name? It says his name is O's Perlman.
14:38I mean, I just kind of assumed he'd changed it because he's a famous magician.
14:42What famous magician uses their real name? O's Perlman.
14:44All right. O's Perlman. Sorry. I thought he had a trick up his sleeve.
14:48What am I supposed to fucking know? No. Anyway.
14:50All right. Okay. Give us, yeah. Give us a player you're not drafting this year.
14:54All right. So this one is, to me, it's less emotional and more just rational logic and trying to apply it to the full season.
15:01We talked about Gentie, the injury history. And the concern there.
15:04Chris Olave, for me, is just a guy who I just, I understand that he's good.
15:08I understand he did well last year. He was wide receiver nine last year in points per game, over a thousand yards.
15:14I think he had nine touchdowns. So he had a great season.
15:18But when I look at him, I'm just like, this is so, where you get him pretty high, like third, fourth, like second or third round.
15:25And I just don't want to be in the position where my season hangs on him staying healthy.
15:30I mean, I know that there's, you can't predict injuries, but his history with concussions, he also had a blood clot issue.
15:36And it came out today, Nick Underhill actually reported this, that the language in Olave's contract actually excludes those from injury guarantees.
15:42So like if he were to, his career were to end because of concussions or because of the pulmonary embolism, the blood
15:47clot thing, he doesn't actually have the guarantees in his contract for that.
15:51And he left practice today with an injury, but.
15:53Wait, hold on. He, the injury guarantees in Olave's contract void for concussions or pulmonary embolism?
15:58For those two things specifically, yes. Because, and that makes sense because that was like the concern, the big concern for everyone
16:04before he got his new big contract, which was like, and this is the concern in fantasy.
16:08I know that it's morbid. I know that it's not like thinking positively, but if he gets one more concussion, he could miss the whole season.
16:15No, but it's worth mentioning because some people don't give a shit, but some people are also like, this is fantasy football
16:21and you don't want to watch your players through their fingers, like your fingers.
16:25You're kind of just like watching, like that's one, before Tua started sucking, even when Tua was playing well, it was kind
16:31of like, I don't like watching this man get hit.
16:34Right. He left practice today with an injury, but it turns out he just got the wind knocked out of him.
16:40So he's fine. Question for you, DK, Chris Olave.
16:42So yeah, he's going like third round, end of the third round, right after AJ Brown, right before Malik Nabors, kind of that range where she rice.
16:49If let's say he had never had a concussion before and you didn't have to think about that.
16:54Where would you be taking him? I would be taking him pretty high.
16:58Like I think talent wise, he's a really good player.
17:00Would you be taking him higher than he's going now?
17:03Would you be taking him higher than Drake London?
17:06Like how high would? Yeah, probably, probably above Drake London.
17:08Yeah. Yeah. Because of the continuity with the quarterback, the offense, the Kellen Moore offense, Jordan Tyson's not going to be playing
17:14for the first like two months of the season.
17:17Yes, I would be taking him very high. To me, this is purely, and again, that's why it's also like a rational
17:23thing where I just don't want to have my whole season hinge on him staying healthy.
17:27I think another point, you didn't even bring this up, but it's another argument in your favor, is this happens a lot
17:33in fantasy where sometimes a player that were really like injury prone every year and then they have a healthy season and
17:39then everyone prices them like they're not injury prone anymore.
17:42Yeah. Which is also Ken Walker this year, which is someone you love.
17:45But you know who else had one healthy season?
17:48Is Tyler Shuck, who had every season of his career in college basically have a season of injury.
17:52A little bit of a house of cards, yeah.
17:55So talk about the parlay of like, will Shuck stay healthy all year and Olave stay healthy all year?
18:00Like, yeah, it is a lot of risk. I think it's, and again, I know that we're getting granular about concussions and concussions are so hard to predict.
18:08But to me, it's like, guys can be injury prone, guys can have history of injuries and you could worry about that a little bit.
18:14But taking one hit and being like, oh, he can't play for the next two months.
18:19The cognitive dissonance we all have to watch football is already fragile enough.
18:22And so it's kind of like, you know. Do they give him routes that are less conducive to concussions?
18:27No. You don't think so? No. Because that would be, you can't.
18:31That's an interesting idea though. No, they don't. Like less like deep cross or something.
18:35Like no over the middle. Yeah. No. In all seriousness?
18:37Yeah. No. The answer is that they can't. No, I didn't mean it that way.
18:42It sounded like it was Dick. I meant, in all seriousness, acknowledging that kind of risk on a given play and baking
18:47it in is like, you can't even, you can't think that way.
18:51Like you have to just be like, I've just like, we're as a unit, as a team, an organization.
18:56But like they tailored the Miami offense to two and not getting hit.
18:59Like so it's killing the thing. I think that was.
19:02Quarterback is different, but I mean, they did that.
19:05I think that also is just kind of like the way he plays.
19:08But I think quarterbacks may be a different position.
19:11But like, I don't think a wide receiver, they're like, well, he can only do this.
19:15It's like, no, it's like you're healthy or you're not.
19:18Well, it's funny just because like there are some players whose skill set limits certain routes.
19:22Some players you want to be running over the middle.
19:25Some players you want to just, like look at Brian Thomas.
19:28There are some routes that work, some routes that do or that don't.
19:31So like, couldn't you just in theory be like, well, why wouldn't we just treat Chris Olave as a receiver who can
19:37run certain routes and can't run other routes to protect his brain?
19:40Because, well, I mean, the real answer is that I don't think that NFL teams are like coaches, players are not thinking about it that way.
19:47Like, if you're honest, like that isn't baked into the sport.
19:50To be honest. Yeah. I guess, I don't know.
19:53My point is just like if you're already, if some players are just like not good running certain routes and you have
19:59to, so then you wouldn't, you wouldn't give them those routes.
20:02Which routes are safe? Well, there are some that I would say are safer than others.
20:06Wouldn't you say? Well, yeah. You're not sending players over the middle to get knocked out by a safety or whatever.
20:12Like wasn't Brian Thomas flinching over the middle? And so they're like, all right, maybe we won't run him those routes.
20:17It's like, couldn't you just apply that to Chris Olave?
20:20It's for different reasons. But like you can still tailor routes to players' skill sets or other outstanding circumstances.
20:25I'm not defending it. Like, again, there's a giant article in the New York Times.
20:29We're recording this Tuesday. There's a giant article in the New York Times this morning about CTE and it's like horrible.
20:35It's like one in four players that this study, you know, might end up with one day.
20:40It's horrible. But the reality is, teams don't think about it.
20:43It's as simple as they're like, they paid him a ton of money.
20:46Just got a contract extension for 35 million a year.
20:49He runs a route. And like, also, I mean, Tua, no, it's a good question to your point.
20:54I think Tua is the most. Probably not yes or no.
20:57It's probably shades. To your point. I would love to ask Kellen Moore and be like, do you think about that when you are designing plays?
21:04And if he's like, no, it's football. It is what it is.
21:07Or if he's like, a little bit. The most illustrative person about this is Tua, who has over and over said, I
21:13don't want to be known for concussions. I wish people would stop talking.
21:17He doesn't want to think about it. I'm talking about the coaching, not the player.
21:21I get the player. Yeah. But I wonder if Kellen Moore is like, maybe I don't send Chris Olave over the middle 10 times a game.
21:28I don't know. Yeah, yeah. Maybe. I think there is a little bit of that.
21:32I kind of would be shocked if it wasn't, but I could be wrong.
21:36The fact that we had to go into all that is why DK is right.
21:40That you probably don't want Chris Olave in your fantasy team.
21:43Well, yeah. Because you know why? Because then Chris Olave gets tackled and you're not having fun anymore.
21:47How low would you have to go, DK? Like, would you rather have Chris Olave or Tee Higgins?
21:52Oh, Tee Higgins. Probably Tee Higgins. Tee Higgins is like the most fun player to have.
21:57Terry McLaurin. At that point, just the value of it.
21:59But I get what you're saying. I think, yeah.
22:02I think if he falls like two to three rounds, then I'm like thinking about it.
22:06But really, the reason I have it here is just because I don't want to have to think about it.
22:12To your point, it's a good reminder, DK, that like fantasy football should be fun.
22:16And if there are certain, for whatever reason, if you don't, like some people, like my brother doesn't like having Eagles or Cowboys because he's a Giants fan.
22:23And I'm like, that's fun. My brother's like, I don't want to root for the Cowboys.
22:28This is not like that for me. This is not like I don't want to root for Olave.
22:32It's more just, yeah. Well, no, but you're saying that I don't want to be fearful of one of my players being tackled.
22:39Yeah. And like that's, yeah, that's legitimate. If it breaks the, like if it makes it not fun, that's the whole fucking point.
22:45We're all probably going to lose anyway. Anyway, moving on.
22:48Speaking of not having fun, Steelers. I'm not drafting the Steelers this year.
22:51And this is a weird one for me. I'm sorry, Craig.
22:54I think it's totally fair. I don't think they're a fantasy offense.
22:57Now, here's the thing. Aside from just speaking of not having fun, just dealing with Aaron Rodgers and just pleading the fifth and that freaking guy.
23:04Good teammate. Aside from, yeah. Aside from that, I don't think I would like tell other people, you shouldn't draft TK Metcalf.
23:10You shouldn't draft Jalen Warren. I don't know if I want to say that, but I think the whole team for me is friend zoned.
23:17In that like when I'm doing drafts, I see the players there, but I've never actually considered them for even a second.
23:23That's kind of where I am with him too.
23:26Like I just don't think about taking them. It never once centered my mind that I would take this person.
23:31Never even occurred to me to go on Vicodano.
23:33I gloss past their name. It's like, oh, yeah.
23:36They're all low ceiling players. Yeah. I would say Michael Pittman might be your best bet to be like a guy who
23:42could start weekly on your team as a flex.
23:44He might catch them. He'll probably catch those balls on the team this year, but I agree.
23:49It's all low ceiling. Metcalf, Pittman, the tight ends are a mess.
23:52And Metcalf just doesn't fit a little Rodgers. Fantasy-wise, it's a mess because Darnell Washington is playing.
23:57Johnny Smith is gone. I think Fryermuth is probably still going to be in a rotation.
24:01But Pat Fryermuth is going like undrafted. Okay, sure.
24:04That's fine. But I don't want to rely on him as my tight end.
24:07No, no. But I think he's like a fine flyer.
24:10He's a great waiver ad if he plays well.
24:13But regardless, it's DK, Pittman, and then the running back too I think is kind of a mess.
24:17Like who do you choose among those guys? To be honest, I think if there's anyone that might pop this year, it's
24:23probably one of the two running backs could end up being serviceable.
24:27I think Jalen Warren has the best chance to become Kenny Gainwell this year where Aaron Rodgers' first read will be DK Metcalf.
24:33I think it's going to be a little bit more of a spread the ball.
24:37They're going to run a lot more like 11 personnel.
24:40I think this year there's going to be just like it's going to be Fryermuth.
24:44It's going to be Pittman, Metcalf, Bernard, and Roman Wilson are going to be the mix.
24:48You have two running backs. You have two tight ends.
24:51I think it's going to be spread the ball around, low depth of target, not a fan.
24:55Quick passes. Yeah. Michael Pittman is the guy. He fell to me in the Ringer League last year because I didn't want
25:01him, and then he fell like 20 spots, and I just ended up with him, and he was pretty solid.
25:07And maybe Aaron Rodgers ends up throwing a bunch of passes to Michael Pittman's way, but DK Metcalf is a guy that I'm like, I just.
25:14It's high variance. You're never going to feel good playing them in a given week.
25:18You're never going to be like, this is going to work this week.
25:21It's just going to be, yeah. So I don't want any of the Steelers.
25:25I agree. DK is another person you're not drafting.
25:28Even if they could win games. I still think they could be winning games, but I just don't think from a fantasy perspective.
25:34Well, they're going to go 9-8. Probably. The next player I am choosing here is purely just, I'm afraid he's been pushed
25:40up too high in drafts, and I don't know if you're going to be able to squeeze out enough value from it.
25:46And that's Colston Loveland for the Bears, who, again, I think he's a very good player.
25:50I think, same with Olave for different reasons. I think Olave's a great player.
25:54Really good at football. I have no qualms saying that Colston Loveland is a very good football player.
25:59The worry I have is that his fantasy price, which is, he's a 10-3 in ADP, 42nd-ish overall.
26:04So like, fourth round, third, fourth round. It's based on a pretty small sample size.
26:08Pretty small sample. And it's like, late in the season, he came on really strong, had some huge games.
26:13But it took him a while to get there.
26:15He was injured at the beginning of the year.
26:18It took him a while to get ingrained in the offense.
26:21And I think there was some, you know, like the team, like Roma Dunzey was really banged up.
26:26He wasn't playing at all, all those times. Luther Burden was still a part-time player.
26:30I just think it was like, based on a few games, this is our projection for him this year.
26:35And we've pushed him too far up the, up the like ADP list or whatever.
26:39I think if you're taking him there, you're basically expecting he's going to have an all-time tight end season.
26:44You know what I mean? Yeah. This is like, priced at his ceiling is a phrase that we say a lot.
26:50Colston Loveland is the perfect example of that. Because the tough part is, is when you look at how he closed the
26:56season, he had four straight games with double-digit targets.
26:58Which like, at tight end is pretty rare. He had three straight games with 90 plus yards.
27:03Like, you do not see that at tight end.
27:05He basically had a month where he averaged 100 yards a game in double-digit targets.
27:09Which is like, elite. Right. As good as it gets.
27:12So I can understand the allure. My fear, I know it's, it's like the, it's your joke of like, we just go
27:18through and take out all the good games. And then like, he would have sucked.
27:22But you do like, all those good games that coincide with, the Lions had like, the most injured defense in the NFL and no linebackers.
27:29The 49ers were on their third and fourth string linebacker.
27:31The Bengals had probably the worst linebacker duo in recent NFL history of like, two rookie linebackers starting.
27:36Which had like, never happened in like 15 years.
27:39And so, that was who Colston Loveland mostly dominated against.
27:42Was basically four of the worst six linebacker groups in the NFL.
27:45And it was like, that happened to be the matchup that popped each week?
27:49And he did it on a big stage. Like, in that Packers playoff game, he hit 140 yards.
27:53And everybody's like, holy shit. I think that had an outsized impact.
27:57And it sucks because both the, I think Colston Loveland's a good example.
28:00Like, I thought I'd be really high on Colston Loveland this year.
28:03And then I, again, it's, it's, you come around the corner and you're like, gonna go to get a sandwich somewhere.
28:09And there's a line around the block. And you're like, I wanted this line.
28:13I love the sandwich here, but I'm not going to wait an hour for a sandwich.
28:17Yeah, yeah. I don't want to take a tight end in the fourth round who had like, a good month.
28:23Well, I also think, I also think it wasn't just that he had those good games.
28:27It was good games while other people were either hobbled or just out of the game.
28:31Yeah, Romo Duce wasn't playing. So, and to me, like, I still think he could have a very good year.
28:37And he could have, you know, finish as the tight end four or five or six or whatever.
28:42But I think the value that taking him there is just something I'm not going to be doing a lot.
28:47I think Romo Duce is going to have a much better season.
28:50I think Luther Burden could be a breakout star.
28:53And if those two guys, this is what we saw with the Lions, similar situation with the Lions and Laporta.
28:58Laporta is a rookie, had 10 touchdowns. He was, I think he was the tight end one or tight end two or whatever it was.
29:05Huge breakout as a rookie. And then the next year you come back and it's like, oh, by the way, we still have superstar receivers in this offense.
29:13Jameson Williams kind of broke out a little bit.
29:15And Laporta ended up being third in the pecking order.
29:18And you need, if you're taking a tight end that early, he has to be either number one or number two.
29:23The only way that this. And I can't guarantee that Loveland is going to be that.
29:28The only way it ends up working out to me is if, and this is totally possible in the thing I'm afraid
29:34of, is if the Bears defense is so bad that the Bears become the Cowboys or Bengals where they're just in a shootout.
29:40Which happened to them last year, which is one of the reasons this happened.
29:44But the Bears just end up having basically the best passing season in the history of the Chicago Bears.
29:49Like the Bears have never had a 4,000-yard passer.
29:51It's never happened. Caleb, like you're talking about the Bears.
29:54Okay, can they have 4,500 yards? Like every team in the NFL has had a 4,000-yard passer except the Bears.
30:00And so you're basically being like, this has to be the best season in team history.
30:04And also, it is Chicago in December. I don't know.
30:07I think he should be one round later. Because here's, the argument for Loveland, I will say, is if you look at
30:13other tight ends this year, other than Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, who have proven that they can just be like the
30:18number one guy, everyone else below Colston Loveland, I kind of don't think could finish as the best wide receiver or as
30:24the best tight end in fantasy, no matter what.
30:27Not Tyler Warren? I kind of don't feel that way, personally.
30:30I don't feel like they're high-octane enough. And then you keep going down, like Kyle Pitts I don't think could be number one.
30:36I don't think Harold Fannett or Sam Laporta. I don't think any of them could be the best tight end in fantasy.
30:42I don't think it's unreasonable that Colston Loveland is the number one.
30:45Well, to that point, here's one good point we haven't talked about this, is if you just go down our tight end rankings.
30:52Brock Bowers, Raiders, could be awful. Just had, you know what I mean, just had the number one pick.
30:57Cardinals with Trey McBride, could be awful. Might get the number one pick.
31:00Hardest schedule in the NFL. Bears, probably going to be a really good offense.
31:04And then the Colts could be way worse. Daniel Jones coming off the Achilles injury.
31:08Sam Laporta already hurt on the Lions. Kyle Pitts and the Falcons might be terrible.
31:12Fannett on the Browns. Fannett on the Browns could be terrible.
31:15And so that is another point, which is like, there are two tight ends in the top ten on teams that might even be good.
31:22And so look, in these rounds, upside is very important.
31:25You want to take guys who can change your team.
31:27Right now where Loveland's going is tough because the guys around him are like Devontae Smith, Lad McConkie, Jalen Waddell, Abuka.
31:33Those are dudes, to me, that could change your season and have huge upside.
31:37If you push Loveland around later, now you can take him around Terry McLaurin, Jalen Warren, Mike Evans, Devontae Adams, R.J.
31:43Harvey. That to me is, now I'm like, ooh, I don't know if any of those guys have the same upside Loveland has.
31:49So if you push him around, if he falls around, I think I would take him.
31:53Just for the upside. Also, to be clear, he's a really good player.
31:57Colson Loveland is really good, but yeah. Okay. Next up, Craig, give us another player you're not drafting this year.
32:02I'm not drafting Carnell Tate. The fourth overall pick in this year's real NFL draft.
32:06Yeah. Like, basically where he's going at drafts is like, would you start him as the third wide receiver on your fantasy team?
32:12And I was really high on Calvin Ridley last year on the Titans.
32:16I was like, Cam Ward can't be worse than Will Levis.
32:19You know what I mean? Calvin Ridley at 1,000 yards is Will Levis.
32:22So like, let's just do the same thing. And now Carnell Tate, I think, is better than Calvin Ridley.
32:28And yet, I don't know if Cam Ward's good.
32:30I don't trust the offense at all. Wando Robinson's there, who's going to take a lot of targets.
32:35Hoovering up targets. I think Tate's going to be way more high variance.
32:38And if Cam Ward can't get it together, I think there's a chance that Tate is a more irrelevant player, at least for a while.
32:45And this could totally come back to bite me, and I'm aware of that.
32:49Rookies, second half of the season, often do well.
32:51Rookie wide receivers. But he kind of hasn't really made waves in camp.
32:55He's looking pretty terrible in preseason games. And catching was kind of his thing in college.
32:59So I just, I don't know. Parker Washington, like Christian Watson, I think I'm much better than those guys.
33:04I totally agree. He's another guy that I've just never clicked on.
33:08And he's the guy, like, for example, I don't think I'm going to tell other people.
33:12The truth is how we look at this, or I think a good way to look at this episode, is sometimes a
33:18friend will be like, Hey, I did my draft.
33:20And they show you your team. What do you think?
33:23Like, if you ended up with Colson Loveland, I'm not going to be like, oh no.
33:27Like, Colson Loveland's sick. We just think he might be going higher.
33:31If you have Cardinal Tate in your starting lineup, I'm like, oh God.
33:34Yeah. I'm a little nervous. There's upside there. Yeah.
33:37Yeah. It's his dynasty? Oh. Like, I'm nervous for you if Cardinal Tate is starting.
33:41So that's where I'm at with him. I think he is the perfect player for this exercise.
33:45Yeah. Because reporters were asking Sala, the Titans coach, about the struggles that it seems that Warren and Tate are having in
33:51terms of getting on the same page and all that stuff.
33:54And I guess it was at least somewhat encouraging that Sala was basically said, once the real games start, we're going to be scheming him up touches.
34:02Which I think is, like, it's a real deal that they don't really scheme that much in preseason.
34:06It's all pretty vanilla. I'm less betting on Cardinal Tate is bad and I'm more betting on I don't trust Cam Ward.
34:12Just this offense is probably like a very low ceiling.
34:15I have been concerned by how sloppy the Titans offense looked in limited preseason.
34:19Cam Ward threw for 186 yards a game last year.
34:22It was 32nd in the league. Is that good?
34:24Yeah. He threw for five yards more than Phillip Rivers per game last year, Cam Ward.
34:28Ooh. God. Phillip was slinging it. Literally older than twice his age?
34:32His grandfather. No, close. Not quite. Almost. He's a grandpa.
34:34Yeah. An actual literal grandfather. A literal grandfather. My God.
34:37Also, that Niners-Culse game was so much closer. That's a random thing to say.
34:41Phillip Rivers almost beat the Niners in Monday Night Football.
34:44Like, that almost happened. Unk still got it. Is he playing this year?
34:47Is he working out? Dude. He's playing with his kids in the backyard.
34:51He's like, actually, I'm good. I have my insurance now.
34:53He's going to come back in 49 and be like, do you know how much it costs to insure 10 children?
34:59No, actually. How does that work? I don't know.
35:02Yeah. Do you get a group discount? How does that work?
35:04Like, bulk? Buy in bulk? Can someone who knows insurance tell me how to do it?
35:09This whole Lakers thing, I clearly don't know how insurance works.
35:12Someday I'm going to have to have you explain to me the Lakers thing like I'm a five-year-old because I don't know.
35:18Well, Rich Paul Studios right over there. Yeah. All right.
35:20Who's up? DK? Craig's like, moving on. No, I agree.
35:23This one to me is... The Warriors would never.
35:26In a week. The Warriors have integrity. This one is more of an emotional pick for me, and I'm just...
35:31I don't want to do this again whatsoever. He's on my do not draft list.
35:35He's on my do not keep list. I'm not going to go anywhere near him.
35:39Brian Thomas Jr. for the Jaguars. Radioactive to you.
35:42Radioactive. Toxic. What does do not keep list mean?
35:44Like, don't use him as a keeper or whatever.
35:47Any round. Any round? Okay. Yeah. Because I think I have him on one league.
35:51I have him as like a later... You wouldn't use a 16th round pick on him?
35:55No. I don't think I would. That's not fucking true.
35:58I don't think I would. No, if you have other options.
36:01That's fucking insane. That's awesome. No, I actually do believe that.
36:04I think I would be like, I'll just do something else.
36:07You'd be like, I'll just try Cyrus Allen. Yeah.
36:09I'll take Brandon Aubrey as a kick. That's fucking cool.
36:12I just don't want to live that life again.
36:14He ruined my year last year. Good. Stick to your guns.
36:17He was supposed... It's like the Star Wars... You were supposed to be the chosen one!
36:21It's like... I have the high ground. I don't know.
36:24To me, it's just like... I think he is another...
36:27Again, I think he will be a good player in the NFL.
36:30I do think he fits... He's 1,400 yards. But I do think he fits into the highly volatile.
36:35The deep threat guys that are running vertical routes and rely on big plays and touchdowns.
36:39And I don't really like having those guys in fantasy unless they have a mind-meld connection with their quarterback or the only person in that offense.
36:46Like a DK Metcalf with Russell Wilson back in the day.
36:49Like, that was fine. But this, to me... There's so much hype about Parker Washington.
36:53I think he's going to get a ton of targets.
36:56It's going to be like the focal point of the offense.
36:59You still have Jacoby Myers, who is a pro's pro.
37:02Super reliable. When he came over to the Jags, their offense changed completely.
37:05The entire team changed. Yeah. From like bottom 10 to top 10 offense.
37:09And then, by the way, Travis Hunter's still there.
37:11And I think he's been rotating in OTAs and training camp and stuff with Brian Thomas.
37:16And so, there's a chance Brian Thomas doesn't even play a full workload.
37:19Like, getting Hunter into the game could come at the expense of Brian Thomas and not Parker Washington.
37:24Which I think is not something I sort of accounted for early on in the process.
37:28So, basically, all I'm saying is it's an emotional thing.
37:31It's nothing against him personally. But like last year, having him on my teams, it was a disaster.
37:36He also could be one of those guys where if you have him on your bench and he's like the fourth or
37:42fifth wide receiver on your team, he might just be impossible to know when to play.
37:46And it's like, the week he's on your bench, he has a 60-yard touchdown.
37:50So, you start him the next week and then he has two catches.
37:54And you don't, yeah. I just love the idea that he's like, I'll take Braylon Allen and Chigar Conquo over Brian Thomas.
38:00He's like, I'll take the Dallas defense. Yeah. I'm good.
38:02I'm like, he's the epitome of let somebody else have him.
38:05I respect it. If he's good for your other team, more power to you.
38:09Like, I just want him to be happy with you.
38:12The next guy on my do not draft list, nothing against him.
38:15I think he's a great guy. I love him as a player.
38:18David Montgomery, who's now on the Texans, has immediately become gross.
38:21Yeah. He was so awesome. What do you mean he's become gross?
38:25He's become gross. Have you seen the Texans run game?
38:27The Texans stink on him now. It's gross now.
38:30Let me tell you. Do you like getting hit three yards into the backfield?
38:33You want me to tell you what gross is?
38:36Here, I'll tell you what gross is. Yards per carry in 2025.
38:39This is team rankings. Yards per carry. Texans, 29th last year.
38:42Lions, 7th. Rushing touchdowns last year. The Texans, 31st in the league.
38:45They had nine. The Lions, 7th with 21. Also, Woody Marks might not be bad.
38:49So I'm like, all right. So you're going from a top five rushing attack to a bottom five rushing attack, and you're still splitting work.
38:56Think I'm good. Think I'm good. This is Heifetz's guy.
38:59I understand what you're saying. Okay. I hear you.
39:01I hear you. He's my toxic love. Toxic's the wrong word.
39:04He's a good guy. I love... He's husband material.
39:07Knuckles. Yeah. Knuckles. I've always loved watching David Montgomery.
39:09He's the Mary in the Fuck, Marry, Kill. Yeah.
39:12Yeah. He really is. David Montgomery, I just... You should do fantasy Fuck, Marry, Kill for categories.
39:16That'd be good. What? You sicko. You sick fuck.
39:19Shoehorning Brian Thomas and teach one so we can kill him over there.
39:22We know what DK would do to Brian Thomas.
39:25My goodness. The... I'm trying to think. We should make us all right at the end of this episode.
39:30Because we each picked like three guys here. We should do Fuck, Marry, Kill for our three guys.
39:35Yeah, that's good. That's actually... All right. We'll come back to that.
39:38So make your David Montgomery kick. Is it just your heart or is there parts of your brain?
39:43I think... Well, I think if the Texans offensive line is better this year, then you're going to be like, oh, they
39:49traded a bunch of picks to have David Montgomery lead the rushing offense for what might be the best defense in the AFC.
39:55Probably the best defense in the AFC. And they're going to just have a lot of possessions and a lot of leads.
40:01And he's going to get a lot of volume.
40:03And he's... I don't know. Like... Probably the latest running back you can get that could conceivably lead the NFL in rushing.
40:09I'm not saying he could. But like, I don't know.
40:12He's going to get a ton of carries. He's a classic dead zone running back.
40:16And like the kind of player that usually you don't take.
40:19But he's kind of priced like... Ten years ago, David Montgomery would be ranked like 35th in fantasy.
40:24And this year he's ranked like, I don't know, 50th or 60th.
40:27Depends what site you're on. He's going right below Jalen Waddell and Emek Ibuka.
40:31No fucking shot am I taking David Montgomery. That is why I'm not going to fight you on this.
40:36I just love him as a player. But like, I get what you're saying.
40:40Like, it's probably not ideal to take him there.
40:43One thing that I just keep thinking about with this is...
40:46How many catches and receiving yards does he have, do you think, this year?
40:49Last year, the Texans ranked 27th in running back receiving yards.
40:52Well, Nick Chubb was there. Woody Marks also, who is like a big part of their offense down the stretch.
40:58I don't know. I just think... I'm afraid of you.
41:00I don't know where I land on this because I think I do kind of like David Montgomery this year just from
41:06a pure volume play where he's going in drafts.
41:09He is not on my do not draft list, but I understand Craig's argument for sure.
41:13And there is a stink on him with that Texans offense.
41:16And it's the run game. Even in the jersey, I'm like, ah.
41:19You don't like the Texans jerseys? I probably won't get him.
41:22I probably won't draft him, but he's not on my dog.
41:25You're breaking my heart, but you're probably right. This episode is brought to you by Brooks.

42:13So another player that's on my don't draft list, and I felt this way before he got hurt, but now I feel
42:19strongly, is Jeremiah Love for the Cardinals. I thought he was the captain of my don't draft list before.
42:24At cost. Yeah. He's like a third rounder. Yeah, he's the third pick in the draft.
42:29Those guys usually play. Jeremiah Love, again, the Cardinals played him in one preseason game, immediately got him injured with 14 touches.
42:34So if you didn't have enough of an incentive to protect this rookie running back in the year that you're tanking to
42:40get a quarterback next year with baby LaFleur and his stupid haircut, which I'm going to mention every goddamn time.
42:46Like, I'm just saying, 10th coach hired out of 10 coaches in the cycle.
42:50Is it that bad? Is it that bad? We're all stopping to look it up.
42:54Yeah, look up Michael LaFleur. Just Google Michael LaFleur.
42:56It's just like unserious. I don't think it's, yeah, I mean, I guess.
43:00It's fine. I mean, like, is it less serious than McVay's hair?
43:03Well, he should win some games. Is it kind of like the substation where every picture you see of him, it just gets a little taller?
43:10Yeah, it gets a little taller. Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
43:12But no, in all seriousness, I just can't get it.
43:15Nate Hackett's running this offense. The Cardinals are an abomination.
43:18Jeremiah Love, they have Tyler Algier. The Cardinals are an abomination.
43:21They're an abomination, man. Abomination's such an effective word.
43:23He has a high ankle sprain. It's evocative, yeah.
43:26He's just like everything about it's bad. You can't force feed him touches now because you gave him a high ankle sprain,
43:32and if he re-injures it, that could go into next year.
43:35Yeah, they're going to swing back the pendulum, and he's going to get like six touches a game.
43:40Yeah. Yeah, and I'm like, you have to bubble wrap this guy.
43:43And also, they're going to suck. Yeah. And like anything that happens to him from Thanksgiving on, they're going to shut him down for the season.
43:50Like, I just, I want nothing. This is a classic.
43:53Everyone's going to be mad. He's not getting enough touches.
43:55Then he'll get too many. I just, I don't want anything to do with him.
43:59There's no, I got him in one league because he, because it was people, or Discord, shout out our Discord.
44:05And it was other people who know I hate sharing my love, so he fell to the 60th pick, I think.
44:10So that's like where I'd take him. And he's probably going to go in the top 30.
44:15And I'm like, okay. So if he falls to 60, I'll take him.
44:19That's about what it takes. I agree. We can keep this one quick.
44:22Xavier Worthy, there's just no world in which I draft Xavier.
44:25There's, like, why would you want one of these?
44:28I just don't. Yeah. There's just no world in which I see his name and I click on it.
44:33Do you ever see like, just perusing Amazon, and you see some clothes and you're just like, who would buy that?
44:38So I kind of like how I feel when I'm drafting and I'm like, who would draft him?
44:43I'm just not, I'm not ordering that. I'm not ordering.
44:46I don't want the Branzino, you know? Worthy getting, the whole book on Worthy being, he's really fast, but he's really light and he might get hurt.
44:53And then getting hurt running into fucking Travis Kelsey.
44:56He's like when you throw a paper airplane and it like goes to the left.
45:00There's like the videos of like people with their RC planes and it like takes off and like runs into like a telephone pole.
45:06I just feel like, this sounds really stupid, but I feel like Xavier Worthy like doesn't run normal routes and catch normal passes.
45:13No, he's a gadget player. I tried to tell everyone this before the draft.
45:16You never see him just like running a post and he caught it.
45:20It's like, oh, it's a reverse or it's some weird squeeze.
45:23What is this? He's like diving into a crowd.
45:25Him getting hit, you know in Ocean's 11 where there's like the big truck and the little truck and the RC and the little one's winning?
45:32He just goes and he just runs over the little truck.
45:35Like that's it. Oh, the RC. Yeah, and every crossing route, he's getting rocked by his own teammates.
45:40And I'm like, he literally cannot stay healthy. Also, when a receiver, a little guy has a shoulder issue, that thing's popping in and out every time.
45:48And it's like every time they land on it, you got to, like you're supposed to, like it's just, oh my God,
45:53you're in and out of the game. Shoulder issues are so annoying if you're already small.
45:58Like I just, I don't know. Oh yeah, I think you're right.
46:01Yeah, I'm with you on that one now. Can I throw out another person that I want to talk this out with you guys?
46:08I'm afraid about this one putting it on the list and I want to talk to you guys if we should.
46:13It's Basial Tootin for the Jaguars. And I'm torn because I think of all the people we're talking about, I mean, I
46:19guess Colston Lovelland I'm afraid of, but of all the people, I'm like most afraid of like telling people, don't draft Basial Tootin.
46:25Because Basial Tootin could be amazing. Because Basial Tootin could be the, you know, a great running back for the Jaguars.
46:31The Jaguars could win 14 games if Trevor Lawrence plays like he did down the stretch.
46:35And he could be getting all these Travis Achan touches last year.
46:39And so I don't want to be like, don't draft Basial Tootin.
46:42But I want to be honest that I never end up with Basial Tootin.
46:46There might be. I never have him. There may not be a riskier player at where he's coming.
46:51Like he's going above Jadarian Price who's a first round pick for the defending champions.
46:55It's kind of crazy when you think about it.
46:57That summarizes my feelings completely. Yeah. But Jadarian Price is probably definitely going to start for the Seahawks in week one of the season for the defending champions.
47:05And yeah, Basial Tootin, who is a fourth round pick, is going higher.
47:08And I look at Tootin. And I'm also Tootin.
47:11And he, by the way, didn't really do anything as a rookie.
47:14His signature highlight last year, Tootin, was catching a screen when he went the wrong way.
47:18Like he didn't even do the play right. He had 300 yards as a rookie.
47:22And so I look at this and I'm afraid because he's fast.
47:26He's unbelievably fast. He's really exciting. And the other thing is he reminds me of Colston Loveland.
47:30I thought I was going to be the highest person in Tootin this year.
47:34And I'm like, oh, Tootin's going to be in that like Blake Quorum range.
47:38He'll be the 70th player. Well, I was saying on Bill's Potter, I'm like, all those types of guys, the value's been stripped now.
47:44I think, I do think in like all of the aggregate rankings, like all of those sleeper types are really inflated.
47:50Like, well, I saw Dwayne McFarlane, My Fantasy Life.
47:52He's a great analyst about all this stuff. And he said, like, basically this profile of player, a second year guy who
47:58didn't really do anything his first year, but could have a starting role with a team.
48:03That profile usually goes like three or four rounds later.
48:05Yes. And it's like he is being pushed. He's the RB 25.
48:09That's what I don't understand. 58th overall. So that he's going in like the sixth-ish round.
48:13Or higher, yeah. Yeah. And that's just what I just do not understand about Tootin.
48:17So I'm not, I don't want to tell other people not to take him, but like I'm not going to end up with Tootin anyway.
48:24Because again, Basial Tootin, it's not that I don't like him.
48:27He's exciting. But Basial Tootin's going above Jalen Waddle, Emeka Abuka, Swift, Drake May.
48:31Yeah, DK. Joe Burrow. He's going 48th. Is that what you said?
48:34Basial Tootin's going on. I said 58th on what I'm looking at.
48:37He's going 48th if you look at Fantasy Bros.
48:40Yeah. Imagine if I could go back to the end of last season and tell you that next year, Basial Tootin will be drafted ahead of Drake May.
48:47Like it's as if he had a whole season last year that was erased.
48:51Like I don't understand. He's a boomer bus pick.
48:53He is a you're either first or who cares type of pick.
48:57The argument for him is Bucky Irving. Yep. Yes.
48:59That is the argument for him. Bucky Irving two years ago in Tampa Bay with Liam Cohen, who's now the coach in Jacksonville.
49:05Bucky Irving was a third round rookie who exploded in the offense and looked fantastic and was immediately like, holy shit.
49:11This is irrelevant. Running back in the NFL. So that's the argument.
49:14Tootin could do that. Yeah. I just feel like he had Bucky Irving has all these little skills that like translate to playing time that I don't know.
49:22Maybe I'm wrong. I just feel like Chris Rodriguez is going 10 rounds later.
49:26Literally. I think this is a good smart to bring up good note.
49:29And he is priced way higher than this type of player typically is.
49:33And maybe that's just because it's a weird season or whatever.
49:36Maybe we just have a ton of faith in Liam Cohen.
49:39I personally am excited if I get Tootin, but he is a risky pick at where he's going.
49:44Yeah. So that's all. I mean, Chris Rodriguez is going 100 picks later.
49:47Maybe I'm wrong and Tootin's going to be amazing.
49:50So that's my fear. But anyway, are there any other players you're thinking about?
49:53I mean, Kyle Pitts is like a free space.
49:56He doesn't even count anymore. The Kyle Pitts thing is funny.
49:59I was talking to Craig about this. At some point, you just have to have some self-respect about this whole thing.
50:05There's a really famous funny-ass bit by this comedian, James Donald Forbes McCann.
50:08I think he's New Zealander. James Donald Forbes McCann.
50:10Look what – I think he's a Kiwi. That sounds like a law firm.
50:14And he has this bit where it's like – He's Australian.
50:17Australian, sorry. Fool me once. Shame on you. And he does this whole thing.
50:21I'm not going to do it any justice. He goes, fool me twice.
50:25Shame on me. Fool me three times. Twice as much shame on me.
50:28I can't believe I allowed you to fool me again.
50:31And then he keeps going, fool me four times.
50:33Shame on you. You're picking on a vulnerable man.
50:36Where are we at on Kyle Pitts now? Because I think it's fool me five times.
50:40No, this will be six. Shame back on me.
50:42I may be a vulnerable man, but at some point you have to take personal responsibility.
50:47I'm not going to be fooled for the fifth time.
50:50Six? Six times. No, third time's the charm the second time.
50:52That's year six. I think the fool me six time is like, you've fallen into my trap or something.
50:58I don't know. But anyway, great bet. Go look it up.
51:01It's fucking hilarious. But that's how I feel about Kyle Pitts.
51:04I'm like, how many fucking times are we going to do this?
51:07At some point you have to take personal responsibility.
51:09I'm glad you asked. We're not even halfway done.
51:12This is year six. He's going to play 13 years.
51:14He's only 21 years old. We're almost halfway done with the Kyle Pitts thing.
51:18Kyle Pitts is 25. Wouldn't it be funny if he had six touchdowns?
51:22Because he's had three, four, five, six. It'd be funny if he just kept doing that.
51:26There's a post right now on the subreddit of our fantasy football.
51:29And I just typed in Kyle Pitts' name. And it's just a headline.
51:33It's just a photo of Anna D'Armis. And it's like Kyle Pitts looking at me heading into the 2026 season.
51:38Yeah. Oh my God. Okay. Other players. I mean, I know we've talked about bad teams, but I think the Browns.
51:44I'm not drafting the Browns. I'm not getting sucked into it.
51:47In addition to the obvious bad vibes. I just think fantasy football, to your earlier point, you're going to sign up.
51:53If you draft Harold Fannin, who is a tight end I love for the Browns, or Denzel Boston, or all these guys,
51:59next year you could do it with Arch Manning or something.
52:02That'll be cool. And then that'll be a year too early.
52:052028, those guys will be good. But the idea that you're going to turn on your TV in week one, and you're
52:11like, oh my God, I need Deshaun Watson to complete a pass.
52:14This man has the yips. And then Shador is going to come in four weeks into the season.
52:19And you're going to be rooting for that. You're going to feel like an idiot.
52:23And at least Denzel Boston's cheap, but I don't want those guys.
52:26And also, we mentioned this on Bill's show, but week nine on, the Browns are only outdoors.
52:31And there are rarely times that are lower in fantasy football than when you have an important matchup you need to win.
52:37And you're counting on Harold Fannin to catch one pass in a lake effect Cleveland snow game.
52:41And you're like, oh my God, Shador can't even stand up because it's snowing or raining so hard.
52:46I think Cleveland has worse weather than fucking Siberia.
52:49I'd rather be playing a game in Siberia. Yeah.
52:51Like, for real. Literally, they are only outdoors from like, week nine's not that, like, it's an entirety of November and December.
52:57How do people live in Cleveland? I can't understand it.
53:00Okay. All right. Well, now, well, it's the snow.
53:02My brother's wife is from Cleveland. Yeah. How dare you?
53:05Come after me. How dare you, sir? How dare you, sir?
53:08I mean, it's probably beautiful in the summer. Buffalo's got to have worse weather than Cleveland, right?
53:12You'd think. But no. But they have the snow infrastructure.
53:15You would think that, but you're wrong. All right, no.
53:18Cleveland, no, as I said, Cleveland actually has the worst weather in the world.
53:22Nope. Cleveland's worse. Okay. I love also. Green Bay, it's cold.
53:25That's it. Who gives a fuck? Cleveland's got like wind.
53:27Cleveland, it's like eight feet of snow. Okay. Every year we look up what the lake effect is, and then we always have a different answer.
53:34But no, I just don't want the Browns. And then, can we also just, can I do a speed round here of
53:40just injured players that I don't think you should draft where some questionable things don't matter?
53:45You see the little cue on the draft board?
53:47You don't have 30 seconds to like look into it, so you're scared?
53:51Alec Pierce, I'm not taking. He's trying to get back to practice this week again.
53:55Every video I see of that guy, he's limping.
53:57Yeah. Alec Pierce, again. He's limping again. He postponed ankle surgery to get his contract.
54:01He had the biggest contract to free agency. He signed it one minute into free agency and then got ankle surgery a
54:07week later, which if he wanted to play this season as his number one priority, he would have done that in fucking January.
54:13And there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not my problem.
54:16That'll be someone else's problem. Jordan Tyson, Saints receiver.
54:19Someone will take him, but he has a hamstring injury.
54:22He's out two months. I don't want to wait until Halloween for like a rookie receiver to come in.
54:27Someone's going to cut him and you can pick him up later.
54:30And Makai Lemon on the Eagles, maybe similar. Maybe I'm missing a huge value.
54:34I don't think he's going to start for a couple weeks.
54:37The vibes on Lemon have been terrible. The snake.
54:39He might be a Lemon. Steelers sneaky might have dodged a bullet there.
54:43That is incredible. They knew what they were doing.
54:45Max, I am not sure how you say his last name.
54:48Looking good. He's going to start, right? Potentially. Okay.
54:51Yeah, the Steelers were going to do Lemon and then they leaked it by accident.
54:55But I do think Lemon, again, he had four days of training camp, pulled his hamstring, just returned.
54:59So he's basically missed three weeks. Again, I feel like he's not going to start for three weeks.
55:04Whoever drafts him is going to fucking cut him and you can pick him up.
55:08He'll be a waiver guy. Aaron Jones, who's healthy, but not for long.
55:12And I just am done taking Aaron Jones. What do you know?
55:15I've seen him play. Okay. I've done it too many times.
55:18And then the real one I do want to talk about, the guys, is Malik Nabors for the Giants, which is the last.
55:24He's on your do not draft list. What's the latest on your boy?
55:28I don't know the future. I think that because of the Giants.
55:31He's not O's, the mentalist. No. No. Unlike some people.
55:34I just think that there's too much optimism of like, well, he's back at practice, so he's fine.
55:39And it depends heavily on your league, but I would not be using a sacraman pick of Malik Nabors.
55:44And again, he tore his ACL. He had this meniscus cleanup in May.
55:47And it's not about the surgery he had. It's more that the idea that he's having range of motion issues seven months
55:53after a surgery, which again, that's supposed to return seven days.
55:56Like, Agent Peterson got range of motion like the seven hours after a surgery.
56:00Like, you're supposed to get that between three hours after your surgery and like a week.
56:05And seven months in, he had an issue. And so he'd get the cleanup, but it's just the point is, it's not
56:10as linear always with the recovery, with the ACL and the meniscus.
56:14It's not like a clean injury. How late would he have to go where you'd start to think about drafting him?
56:19I would probably think about it if, like, if Nabors was still there around, like certainly around, like Jeremiah Love, Javante Williams.
56:25Like, I don't want those running. I'd rather just at that point take the upside of Nabors.
56:30But I think right around Zay Flowers. Oh. Like, that's – I don't like Zay Flowers.
56:34But even Kim Scadaboo, I might take over with Nabors.
56:37And I'd probably take Nabors – like, Nabors versus Luther Burden, I'd probably take Nabors.
56:41But if the season starts, Nabors just has any kind of setback.
56:44I feel pretty stupid. Yeah. But the upside is high.
56:47The Nabors thing is he's very alluring just because of his talent and what we've seen from him.
56:52He's just a badass player. But it does feel a little bit like we get one good report and we're like, oh, he's fine.
56:58Yeah. And I'm like, that's my issue. Oh, cool.
57:01All right. He's back. He's good. And I'm like, it reminds me so much of Daniel Jones.
57:06We're like, he can't get worse. And then he tore his fucking Achilles a week later.
57:10Yeah. The broken leg cannot get worse. And he tears his Achilles.
57:13He went from limping around the bases at a celebrity baseball game like two months ago to, oh, he's good.
57:19He's fine. He's fine. He's not going to miss any games.
57:22And he hasn't played a month of healthy football in years.
57:24And that's the fear. It's like his rookie year, he got a concussion.
57:28He's had chronic like a toe injury for like since LSU.
57:31Like there's been a lot of issues there. So I hate to be a yum yucker on my own fucking like the best player on the Giants.
57:38But I just the idea that, oh, yeah, just take Malik Nabors ahead of like Josh Allen, Trey McBride, George Pickens because
57:44he went to practice for a week. I'm like, I don't know.
57:48The next 18 games. He hasn't played in any of the preseason games, right?
57:51No. And nor should he. But I just I'm just the idea that he's going to make it through 17 weeks.
57:57I'm very dubious of. But that's like the shittiest fantasy analysis there is is the coolest favorite player will get hurt.
58:03But like, I agree. Evening. Buyer's remorse. Buy a new car.
58:06I'll be moving in. Let's get started. Sorry, I think there's been a mistake.
58:09I bought it from Carvana. You what? Yeah, great price.
58:12I even have seven days to love it or return it.
58:15So there's no. No, no buyer's remorse. More like buyer's rejoice.
58:18I guess I'll let myself out. Congratulations. I mean it.
58:21Buyer's rejoice. Buy your car today on Carvana. Limitations and exclusions may apply.
58:24See our seven-day return policy at Carvana.com. This episode is brought to you by 20th Century Studios' The Dog Stars.

58:43The Dog Stars, only in theaters and IMAX this Friday.
58:46Get tickets now. So, well, on that lovely note.
58:49Fuck, marry, kill. Craig? All right. So my guys, I'll have to pick.
58:52I guess I'll have to. I'm going to remove London because I'm going to assume that Penix is playing and then we kind of like him.
58:59So I guess mine are Carnell Tate, David Montgomery, Worthy.
59:02Again, this is just a fun exercise. I'm killing Xavier Worthy.
59:05Have to. Metaphorically speaking. Metaphorically. I hope he lives forever.
59:08Well, that's kind of like a curse. We could maybe.
59:10I hope he lives as long as he wants to live.
59:13Would you want to live forever? We don't have to get into this.
59:17Okay. But I think. That's a big question. But I think yes.
59:20I think I would. It's a hot day. A lot of people are like, fuck no.
59:24And I'm like, do you know what dying is?
59:27You're assuming something comes after. I'm not. I would.
59:29Yeah, I do want to live forever. Sweet release of death.
59:32I don't think I can die. I think it's the most obvious question in the world.
59:37Yeah, you should. But a lot of people don't feel that way.
59:40And that's totally fine. Sort of like this like movie trope where people who are immortal are just bored.
59:45Yeah. Yeah. I'd rather be bored than dead. I love it.
59:48It's like, oh, I'll be exhausted. I want to die.
59:51I'm like, you're not resting when you die. It doesn't feel like you're sleeping and then you get to wake up and be like, wow, I'm rested.
59:58Again. Harry Potter, Sorcerer's Stone. He gave it up.
60:00I hope heaven's real. Okay. I would. So I'm killing Xavier Worthy.
60:04Now I have Dave Montgomery or Carnell Tate. I would probably.
60:07I'd probably marry Carnell Tate and kill Dave Montgomery.
60:09Wow. Well, you killed two people. I'm just assassinating all three.
60:12Right. I'm like, kill, kill, kill. Kill, kill, kill.
60:14Fucking too much, man. I would fuck Carnell Tate and marry Montgomery.
60:18That's the right answer. Okay. DK, what about you?
60:20I'm a mariable guy. Do you want to live forever?
60:23Yes. I do want to live forever. Would you want to live forever?
60:26Yeah. Dude, 300 years. I'm fine. Like, take me.
60:29That's enough. Oh, come on. Whatever. Crazy. Boredom. I'm like, I don't have my phone while I'm waiting for my elevator.
60:35I'm like, kill me. Kill me. I'd rather be dead forever.
60:38I was like, yeah, I spent like four hours on a plane not doing anything.
60:42I'm like, actually, yeah, I'm good. Yeah. I'm ready.
60:44I'll be dead for eternity. Fuck it. So, I had Olave, Brian Thomas, and who am I missing?
60:49Sorry. Colston, Loveland, Olave, and Brian Thomas. I'm going to marry Colston.
60:52That's the right. Yeah. Long-term, great prospects. I mean, you know.
60:55Kind of more this year focused, though. Oh, shit.
60:58It's this year. Okay. I'm going to still marry Colston, Loveland.
61:01Okay. I'm going to. As a fourth round pick.
61:03That's what we're talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.
61:05I'm going to kill Brian Thomas, I guess. Clearly.
61:08Since you said you wouldn't keep him in the 16th round.
61:11And you'd fuck Olave? Okay. He wouldn't keep Brian Thomas in the 16th round.
61:15Yeah. 160 players. Somebody, like, if you were in an auction draft and, like, somehow the service was like, we'll give you
61:21five extra dollars to take Brian Thomas. Would they do it?
61:24No. We'll pay you. He will fill up a roster spot, but we'll give you five dollars.
61:28Just a roster clogger. Oh, my God. Nah. It's like the beginning of Landman.
61:32It's like, no, no, no. We pay you. You're like, we're business.
61:35So yours is going to be a combo of Metcalf and Pittman is one option.
61:39Jeremiah Love, number two. Tootin, number three. Ooh. I think I got to kill the Steelers.
61:44Fuck. Fuck Jeremiah Love and marry Tootin. No. He's going to fuck Jeremiah Love.
61:47No, no. I want to marry the Steelers. That's kind of, like, boring.
61:51And I think I got to. No, I would.
61:53Oh, wow. I guess I'd marry Love, fuck Tootin, kill the Steelers.
61:57You got to marry Love just thematically. It seems to make sense.
62:00Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's right, actually. I think I would do the same.
62:04God, it's hard. Those are very different things than running backs and Steelers.
62:08It's one of the all-time games. It's good. Yeah.
62:10It's an incredible staying pair. It works, but that's fine.
62:13What'd you say? I mean, I understand the concept.
62:15You never really know, but it, like, kind of still works.
62:18It still makes sense. Come on. You can just be like, mornings, evenings, or night.
62:22Fuck, marry, kill. And you, like, kind of understand how to play it.
62:26What does evening mean to you? Like, I'm, like.
62:28Well, afternoon and night. No, no. I wouldn't do afternoon, because I feel like that's the obvious kill.
62:33I think you would do evening is, like, sundown.
62:35Whoa, whoa, whoa. Afternoon is morning, afternoon, night. I think afternoon is easy kill.
62:39Yeah. Just automatically. You don't even get to ask the question.
62:42It's so obvious. You don't get to kill the morning?
62:45He agreed. No. No, mornings are wonderful. No better feeling than waking up in the morning, beautiful day.
62:50How early were you? Maybe for you, because he's, for.
62:53I'm fucking, I'm killing early morning. I'm killing the morning.
62:55It's like your ideal morning. Like, a nice morning.
62:58A nice afternoon and a nice night. I don't want the afternoon.
63:01Usually in the afternoon, I just want to take a nap.
63:04Yeah. Afternoons, you're, like, fucking tired. It's, like, hot as fuck.
63:07Yeah. You're just like, ugh, I'm exhausted. Nights. So what is evening to you versus night?
63:11Evening's lovely. Evening is the sun is going down.
63:14It's like you're at dinner. Share a meal with your family.
63:17I need times. I don't know. What is the evening officially?
63:20Is it, like, five to eight? Five to nine.
63:22Five to nine? And night to you, you're saying nine later.
63:25Nine to one a.m.? Because when I think of night, I think of, like, seven after.
63:29I think of seven down. Night to me is when it's dark.
63:33Yeah. Regardless of the time of day. It's like, once the sun goes down and it's dark, it's night.
63:38What time does it get dark here? I was going to say, that's the problem.
63:42It's August. But what about, like, June 30? Right now, the sun goes down, like, seven, 7.30.
63:46Yeah, yeah. And it's pretty much like that all year, right?
63:49Or ish? I don't know if daylight savings, but.
63:52Oh, yeah. What do you mean? In, like, January.
63:54Well, there's less variation the further south, further towards the equator you get.
63:58In January, the sun goes down close to five, like five on the nose.
64:02Oh, really? I didn't realize it was that dramatic here, yeah.
64:05And then in the sun, the solstice is, like, 8.10.
64:07What is happening right now? I'm trying not to be rude.
64:10The further, the closer you get to the equator, there's less variation in how early it gets.
64:15Yeah, but even here, the delta is in June.
64:17It's like, the sun goes down at, like, nine, right?
64:20No, it's like 8.15, but yeah. Okay, but there's a three-hour difference.
64:23Yeah. I'm just saying, where I live, it's like 4.30 in the winter, it gets dark, and 10 o'clock at night is in summer.
64:30It's not like that here. Yeah. Hence why I wanted to know the times, what day, night, and evening was.
64:35Stop acting like I'm crazy. So you think, in the ranking of morning, afternoon, evening, night, to me, afternoon is easily last place.
64:41You're saying that's not the case? Well, I guess it depends on the day.
64:45Work day versus week, it's as Saturday as it's Wednesday.
64:48Because you're right on a work day. It's general.
64:50That's the whole point. Saturday afternoon is great, man.
64:53Yeah, but how many, you get one, maybe two afternoons a week that you're, like, good?
64:57So we're talking about weeks. It's general. You're living your life.
65:00Afternoon, morning, night, or evening. It's a general thing.
65:03I like afternoons. Over what? Maybe I'll kill morning.
65:05That's crazy. Nothing better than a nice morning. Well, but the whole thing, you have the whole day ahead of you, but
65:11if I kill the afternoon, I don't. I don't know.
65:14See, to me, I'm like, evenings are just better afternoons.
65:16They're like afternoons, but extra. Well, that's why you got to marry the evening.
65:20You're at dinner, you're having a drink, the sun's going down.
65:23It's beautiful. It's a golden hour. It's hot, so beautiful.
65:26So you're marrying that. But you're separating evening and night.
65:29Yeah. They're completely different. But there's four parts of the day.
65:32It's easier. Morning, afternoon, and night just feels simple.
65:34It's only three things. That's my point. Do you even have an opinion on this, or are you just riling him up?
65:40I thought afternoon was the easy omission because it's clearly last.
65:43But I guess, here's what I'm trying to get at.
65:46I feel like you're saying there's four parts to the day, and I feel like the general is there's three.
65:51There's morning, afternoon, and night. That just feels to me like those are the three parts of the day.
65:56That's totally fine. But the reason why I switched it to evening, like kind of a smaller category, is because I think
66:02evening has a good chance of beating morning or night.
66:05I thought afternoon broadly didn't. See, everyone's killing afternoon.
66:07I thought so. It's even more afternoon and night.
66:10That was just my call. My initial reaction was, yeah, I agree.
66:13Yeah. Because I'm always, like, tired as hell in the afternoon.
66:16Yeah. I need a siesta. I think of, like, 1 to 5 p.m., I'm like, worst part of the day to me.
66:22Do you know what I think? On a Saturday, it's great, obviously.
66:25But, like, generally, you're, like, waiting to get out of school.
66:28It's the hottest part of the day. That's when you're the most tired.
66:32Like, generally, I would much rather have a nice morning, a nice evening, and a nice night.
66:36And you're at work. You're at work. That's right.
66:39I just don't know when evening begins and night ends.
66:42After work. That's – It's like 6 to – So it's work to sundown.
66:45Yeah. 6 to 9-ish. Yeah. I think that my issue – yeah, I think the reason that that broke my brain just
66:51during football season is the same thing. The sun mostly goes down when the work – I don't know.
66:56It's like the workday ends and the sun's down.
66:59So it's, like, the same thing to me for, like, the majority of the year.
67:03In the winter, the sun's going down at 4.30 where you live, right?
67:07Right at the – yeah, right at the – it's, like, 5 o'clock.
67:10It's just for a little – The darkest of the days.
67:13Yeah. And I'm like – evening's like an hour.
67:15But when work ends – well, I don't know.
67:18I got, like, 40 minutes until the sun's like – I mean, that's fair.
67:22But still, wouldn't you rather, like, generally 3 to 5 or 5 to 7?
67:25Oh, 5 to 7. Of course. That's evening. That's my point.
67:28I think the problem – but, like, yeah, no, I get it.
67:32Okay. We got there. We got there. If you leave me – oh, whatever.
67:36Fuck it. You had to pick three things to fit in the marry, fuck, kill category.
67:40I thought – I just don't know why we're just like, afternoon doesn't – you know what?
67:44It doesn't matter. Because we all just agreed afternoon is clearly last.
67:48I wanted to make it a difficult decision, which is why I narrowed it to evening to make it a harder decision.
67:54Okay. That was my point. I'm trying to concoct an interesting dilemma.
67:57It's an interesting point you bring up, though, because evening and night – but morning is just so you're getting 6 to, like, noon, basically.
68:04That's a huge window of time. Yeah. You know, I'm thinking more traditional morning.
68:08Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kind of like – Or 10 a.m.
68:10Yeah, like your 8 a.m. There's single digits and double digits.
68:138, 9 a.m. Yeah. All right. Anyway, can I – Jesus.
68:16Can we – we have to pay some respect for a moment.
68:19Okay. Dolly Parton's passed away. Damn. Yeah, this is real.
68:22This is not a bit. I feel like the transition of where we just were seems like this was going to be a bit, but it's not.
68:29She did pass away. You're not playing that game anymore.
68:32No. It's a tremendous loss for many communities, including people who may have felt that she had it even as recently as
68:38a few years ago on Thanksgiving, you know? And so – Like Heifetz.
68:42R.I.P. To Dolly P. No, seriously. Legend. My wife loves Dolly Parton.
68:45Still had it till the end. Dolly's an all-timer.
68:47Yeah, 80 years old. She has a book club, or she had a book club, that would send books to us.
68:53So Calvin – a lot of the baby books that we read were Dolly Parton.
68:57No way. Really? Book club stuff, yeah. What a renaissance woman.
69:00She like low-key just funded the Moderna vaccine. Yes.
69:03She's kind of bad. Like, which is just a wild – The first cloned sheep they named after her?
69:08Dolly. Because it had, you know, a bosom. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is what it's called.
69:12Dude. Shout out Dolly P. I know. They'll be sending free books to kids.
69:16You can sign up for it. Have you ever been to Dollywood?
69:19Would you go? I think I gotta go now.
69:22I gotta make a pilgrimage. That is my Graceland.
69:24That is my Graceland. It's Dollyland. He's at fucking Ray Finkel's house.
69:27Thank you for picking up on that. Of course.
69:30Of course. This is my Graceland, sir. Yeah. Yummy.
69:32Oh, look. They're little footballs. Laces out. The other thing – did we talk about – I mean, the NFL players going
69:38back to college is just the funniest thing ever.
69:41I don't know how much we have to add to this.
69:43I don't understand college football. I don't get it.
69:46It's being litigated by courts. Courts are deciding who can play college football.
69:49Nobody understands anything. The college sports system is such a mess.
69:52SDSU basketball right now, half their roster is international because they're just like, it's easier and cheaper and we'll just do that.
69:58They just got guys from Italy. It's just like less bullshit.
70:01I'm like, what are we – these are pros from Italy now instead of college players.
70:06The whole thing's fucked. Sean McVay said, I feel like I took a freaking gummy when he heard that the Browns players are going back to LSU.
70:13I do think the funniest thing in the world was – Look at the photo they use of him.
70:18That's a sassy laugh. That's a crazy photo. Underdog.
70:21That's a wild photo. I do think that the – The anecdote that the LSU Lane Kiffin staff was scouting NFL preseason
70:27teams is the most unbelievable thing I've heard. They're scouting the NFL.
70:30Because this guy was on the Browns, right? Yeah.
70:32And there's another one in the Saints. Monken said that he got a call from Lane Kiffin, didn't answer it, and then his name is Daquan Wright, right?
70:40Yeah. The guy who went back to LSU. Monken was like, I don't know why he called me, and now I do
70:46because he literally was interested in one of my players.
70:49It's just like the craziest shit. You know what Chuck Klostermann said on Bill Schill years ago?
70:53He's like, they could just have them be a pro team.
70:56They don't have to attend classes or anything. Just have a professional team where the jerseys are really happy.
71:01They just secede from the NCAA, and SEC and Big Ten become just two leagues that exist independent of collegiate academics.
71:07They still have the name Alabama, but it's essentially just another pro league.
71:11Yeah. It already is. It's the charade of them going to a school.
71:14So speaking of college football, I have to... So this one, this one blew...
71:18I don't think you guys have seen this, but there is a 47-year-old pastor named Justin Buzzard who made a college football roster as a defensive end.
71:25Justin Buzzard? San Jose City College roster, defensive end.
71:28There's a 47-year-old pastor who made the team as a defensive end.
71:31San Diego City College? San Jose City College. Justin Buzzard.
71:34As a 47-year-old pastor who made it. San Jose City College?
71:37Community College. But regardless, there's a 47-year-old man who's listed as a defensive end.
71:40What is it called when you go back to college as an adult?
71:44You're auditing a class or something like that? Is that what it's called?
71:47Anyway, that's what this reminds me of. He's a defensive end.
71:50He played football growing up, but he thought an injury ended his career in the 90s.
71:55This is a movie script just waiting to happen.
71:57No one's going easy at all. He said, I'm not going easy on them.
72:01That's the most important thing. He has children in his 20s.
72:04In their 20s. He's a defensive end? That's a good movie.
72:07It's like your kid's trying to make community college football, and then you try out with him, and then you make it, and he doesn't.
72:14That's like you getting the John Gruden commercial. Didn't your friend go out for it, and then you were there, and then
72:20you fucking got it, and he did. This is integral to Craig lore.
72:23He doesn't even know all the movies he's in.
72:26He's like, are you in Fast and the Furious?
72:28He's like, I forget. I don't know. I can't remember.
72:31We don't have to. I'm not in the movie.
72:33I'm like a tiny pixel in the background. He didn't know the name of multiple movies he's been in.
72:38You guys don't understand. Multiple movies. You don't understand.
72:41You're right. I know. We don't understand. That's correct.
72:43What movies are you in? No idea. No clue.
72:46I can't remember. I can't remember. Tom Bombadil over here can do anything, and he just like, you can't give him the
72:52one ring because you just forget he had it.
72:54It's just so dumb because it sounds like I'm trying to be coy and cool, and I'm like, I'm not, I was
73:00like a pixel in a Fast and Furious movie that I've never even actually seen.
73:04I've never seen the frame of me in it.
73:07If I was in one of those movies, I'd be bragging to everyone about it.
73:11As an extra in the background? Dude, my brother's, dude, my sister-in-law's dad was in the Marvel Georgia.
73:15I'd be stopping at the end of the movie when the lines are going up.
73:20You're like at the very end. I don't even think I'm in the credits.
73:23I don't even know how that works. I don't even think I'm in the credits.
73:27He hasn't checked. Which means you might be. I don't think I am.
73:31I don't think I'm in the credits. Anyway, what was the movie where you're dancing?
73:35Yeah, what was that one? With someone like olden times?
73:38It's called Wild Nights with Emily. Oh, you remember it.
73:40Oh, now he knows. Okay. I am kind of in that movie a little bit.
73:44You kind of. There's like 30 seconds where I'm kind of dancing.
73:48Oh my God. Wow. Okay. Well, that was amazing.
73:50We have more episodes this week. Netflix. Friday. Watch it.
73:53Turn on Netflix. We'll be there. Live. Ringer Fantasy Football.
73:56Live draft. With three of us. Anything could happen.
73:58Ringer people. Dave Chang. Check that out. Ringer people.
74:00Dave Chang. Well, you know what? When I'm like, I'm going to do the live draft.
74:05And my friends are like, no, no, no. I'm like, well, Dave Chang will be there.
74:09Like, what? Dave Chang will be there? So, you know, there you go.
74:13Someone listening right now is like, I'm not going to watch.
74:16And then I said, Dave Chang. And they're like, all right, I'll watch.
74:19Sure. Maybe. I get it. I get it. What else was I saying?
74:23I don't remember. You're thanking people. We're thanking people.
74:25We're getting ready to thank people. We're thanking people.
74:28And also, we have episodes during the season, too.
74:30So if you're listening to this, done your draft, keep listening.
74:33We do waiver episodes during the season to help you add.
74:36We do Sunday night recaps. We do Wednesday powers.
74:38We just quit once the season starts and Craig goes back to acting.
74:42Exactly. Craig goes back to acting. I'm like that guy on the Bengals.
74:45Yeah, exactly. The Bengals guy who went for college.
74:48See, he could have gone back to college. He should have gone back to USC.
74:52But yeah, four episodes a week during the season.
74:54So stick with us. Thank you to – there are so many people now in the booth because we're in studio.
75:00But yeah, thank you to Cam. Thank you to Nikhil.
75:03Thank you to Austin. Thank you to Chris. There's CT.
75:06I don't know. There's a lot of people back there.
75:08Chris, CT, Jack. Yeah, thank you everybody back there.
75:11Yeah, there's a lot. Thank you to Dolly Parton.
75:13Yeah. Thank you, Lorne. Lorne. Bangors. That's kind of fun.
75:16Millennial Bangors. We are rolling along. Getting to the end of August.
75:19I only have a few more. I'm going to pull out a classic.
75:23Everybody Knows This Song. Okay. It's from 2009. This is an artist who I have no relationship with really, yet everybody knows this song.
75:29Everybody loves this song. He has other songs that are popular.
75:32Incredibly catchy. Lyrics mean nothing. Like any word could be in these songs.
75:36It doesn't matter. The song is Down by Jay Sean.
75:38Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is an absolute earworm.
75:41It is a classic. For people born in the mid-1990s, this is a high school.
75:45It was just ever-present. Yeah. I don't really put it on now anymore, but when I hear it, I feel nostalgic.
75:51That's a real throwback in that it's not on throwback playlists, but it's an instant recall.
75:55It's not a beloved song, but it is still a classic song.
75:58Can you sing it? Baby, are you down, down, down, down, down, down?
76:02Down, down. Okay, yeah, yeah. It's like- Oh, that down.
76:04Down. Dude, so my brother and his friends did the lip sync thing at our high school on.
76:09They won lip sync and they did down at the end.
76:12Yeah. I mean, like, I don't know what the song is.
76:15It's like the most basic. It's like, I'd love you even if the sky was falling down.
76:20But it's like the most- You can just do anything.
76:23We were joking. We were joking. A lot of the whole, like, oh, it's fine.
76:27It's the recession pop, someone called it. And they literally had the little way in this line, like, I'm down like the economy.
76:33Like, it's like- No, but Jay Sean, I have no idea what other songs he's ever made.
76:37He had a song called 2012. That was kind of good.
76:40Dude, people were so obsessed with the world ending.
76:43Yes, and that was the whole point of the song.
76:46He was British, or is British. Jay Sean's British?
76:48Wow, didn't know that. That's shocking. He has a song called Do You Remember that I Vaguely Knew.
76:53Do You, I only, you know those songs where you can't sing it until you hear it again?
76:58Yes. Like, I know it. I know I know it, but I can't think of it now.
77:02Do you, no, I'm just thinking of- Do you remember, you're thinking of Earth and Fire.
77:07Isn't that a Kanye song? Oh, yeah, the Kanye samples that, but it's Do You Remember, and then- September is the song.
77:13Do you remember? What's the Jay Sean one? I can't, I can't sing it, but I know I know it.
77:18I'm not allowed to play it out loud. But Down is just, Down is a classic.
77:22Down is like you're having a high school rally.
77:25And that's the song that's playing as everybody's like shuffling into Sit Down in the Bleachers.
77:29It's very specific. I definitely very much remember that song.
77:32Oh, yeah. I don't have a relationship with it.
77:34You ought to know. Everyone's just like, yeah. The night is a night to let it go.
77:39Like, all right. Wait, so that song made Jay Sean- Wait, the first British act to have reached number one in the
77:45U.S., but not number one in the United Kingdom.
77:47Since Kiss from a Rose by- Wait, Seal is British?
77:50Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I didn't know that. But then the other one, he said, Best song single by British and European man
77:56in North America since Candle in the Wind by Elton John.
77:59Wow. Huh. Huh. Huh. Huh. Huh. Jay Sean. That song has a billion streams.
78:03Oh, it's Cash Money Records. That's why Jay-Z's on it.
78:06I mean, that's why Lil Wayne's on it. Cash Money Records.
78:09Hmm. Wait, that's why Lil Wayne's on what? Because Jay Sean was like Cash Money Records.
78:13That makes more sense. Remember Kevin Rudolph? Also a couple songs.
78:16Kevin Rudolph? Let It Rock. How's that go? Let it rock.
78:19Let it rock. Let it rock. They're all like the Lemu Emu songs.
78:22It was simple back then, man. Lemu, you know?
78:25Turns out you just say the same thing again and again.
78:28Yeah, just liberty, liberty, liberty. You could have given me 1,000 guesses to who sings that song.
78:32And if you had Kevin Rudolph sitting on the wheel, never in my fucking life.
78:36Oh, 100%. I would have picked O's The Mentalist before Kevin Rudolph.
78:40Kevin Rudolph. No way. Spelled like that? No fucking way.
