A.J. Brown

PositiveProjection41:25

The source expresses strong optimism for A.J. Brown, labeling his 40-to-1 odds for Offensive Player of the Year as a great bet. the source believes Brown is being underrated and has the potential to lead the NFL in targets, catches, yards, and touchdowns.

Insight page

Adonai Mitchell

PositiveSleeper20:33

Mitchell is recommended as a deep-league dart throw. He is a talented receiver with great separation skills who could see significant snaps early in the season for the Jets. He serves as a discounted, high-upside alternative to Garrett Wilson.

Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveValue38:34

Bo Nix is highlighted as a high-upside, late-round quarterback option who is currently being drafted behind players like Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford, despite having the potential to be a top-seven fantasy quarterback for the second half of the season.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveValue15:12

The source highlights Hall as an undervalued asset who frequently falls past his ADP (RB16, 32nd overall). With a strong offensive line and a role as an every-down back who can catch passes (76 catches in a season previously), Hall has significant ceiling potential. The Jets also benefit from one of the easiest schedules of opposing defenses.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveValue30:15

The source argues that the fantasy community has moved past Godwin prematurely. After returning from a dislocated ankle, he finished last season as a top-24 wide receiver. He is a high-volume target who excels in the short-to-intermediate passing game, similar to Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Insight page
PositiveValue30:33

Despite being treated as if he hit an age cliff, Godwin is a solid value pick at his WR35 ADP. He finished as a top-24 WR last year despite rushing back from a dislocated ankle and compensatory injuries. The team's decision to extend his contract suggests they believe in his health and role, similar to the career trajectory of Zach Ertz.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveValue5:14

Despite concerns about his age (33, turning 34 in December) and a weird 2023 stat line (789 yards, 14 TDs in 14 games), the source argues Adams is a value at his current ADP (WR25, 57th overall). He remains a stable, high-floor asset in the Rams' offense, and if Puka Nacua were to miss time, Adams would have top-five upside.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeValue36:59

Metcalf is considered overpriced at his current WR34 ADP. While he is a talented player, the arrival of Michael Pittman and the team's tendency to utilize tight ends heavily creates a crowded target environment that limits his upside.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveValue37:49

The source suggests Drake Maye is an undervalued fourth-round pick, noting his impressive college production of 4,400 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 450 rushing yards, while arguing that his fantasy potential is underrated due to his ability to produce in competitive game scripts.

Insight page
PositiveValue56:52

Maye is being undervalued as a top-10 quarterback whose situation has improved significantly. Despite finishing as the QB2 last year, he is being drafted outside the top 45 picks. While his high scramble rate (62 last year) may fluctuate as he develops as a passer, his rushing floor and potential for increased goal-line usage make him a smash pick.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

NegativeInjury35:01

Egbuka is dealing with a toe injury, potentially turf toe, which makes him a risky asset. Given his history of being injury-prone, he should be docked in rankings, and Godwin stands to benefit significantly in any week Egbuka misses.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveUsage36:59

Warren is an underrated fantasy asset who could see increased goal-line work. While Rico Dowdle is a poor pass blocker, Warren's superior pass protection skills will keep him on the field for Aaron Rodgers, potentially earning him the trust to handle high-leverage red zone touches.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeBust42:44

The source is skeptical of MarShawn Lloyd's fantasy value, noting he has only seven touches in two years and questioning the team's reliance on him as a bell-cow back given his health history.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

PositiveValue36:59

Pittman is a strong value pick at his WR46 ADP. He is expected to lead the team in catches and red zone targets, functioning as an 'off-brand Mike Evans' who can dominate underneath routes in the Aaron Rodgers-led offense.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeValue36:59

The source expresses skepticism regarding Rico Dowdle at his current draft cost, noting that he is not a strong pass blocker, which may limit his time on the field with Aaron Rodgers compared to Jalen Warren.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveValue25:00

Higgins is described as a consistent, overlooked fantasy asset who flies under the radar. Despite not being a high-target-rate player, he is a touchdown machine who benefits from playing in a high-volume Bengals passing offense. He is a reliable top-20 receiver when Joe Burrow is healthy.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveSleeper12:03

The source identifies Ferguson as a favorite late-round dart throw and a potential sleeper. He is effectively the Rams' number three receiver, and if either Puka Nacua or Davante Adams were to miss time, he could step into a highly lucrative role as the team's number two receiver.

Insight page

Tetairoa McMillan

PositiveBreakout46:50

McMillan is an impressive, dependable wide receiver who immediately established himself as a clear-cut number one option. Despite the Panthers' offensive struggles, his talent and lack of target competition make him a high-floor player who could realistically reach top-20 status.

0:56Welcome to the Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Hyph.
1:00And I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck.
1:02Our last recording in Los Angeles, although the second last that you'll see, because we're recording this Thursday, September 3rd, and the
1:08season is less than a week away. The Niners just landed in Australia, I think?
1:12I don't know. You're hearing this Friday, and we're gonna go over the best players nobody's talking about.
1:17These are the Glansbergs. This is an important episode.
1:20We do this at this time every year, because I feel like there are players who take over the narratives all season.
1:26And there's guys who slip through the cracks, who when their name is at the top of the list during a draft,
1:32you're like, nobody's really talked about these. Do I like this guy?
1:36Do I not like this guy? So we're gonna talk about the best no-names from the draft.
1:40And why is it called the Glansbergs? Steven Glansberg from Superbad.
1:43He sits alone. He eats his lunch. Don't make me sit by myself like Steven fucking Glansberg.
1:48Like a loser. But you know what? Steven turned out to be a lawyer.
1:52And he's having a successful career. He's laughing his way to the bank.
1:56Yeah, definitely. Well, his friends are probably richer. Seth Rogen might be richer.
1:59Seth and Evan are doing just fine. Right. But that's fine.
2:02So yeah, we're gonna go over the players nobody's talking about.
2:05And a reminder, good luck in your drafts. And also, we have our draft at fantasyfootball.themriner.com for our rankings.
2:11Printable PDFs there. And also, we have four episodes a week during the season.
2:14So go over and... Well, no, not go over.
2:17Keep checking out our show during the season. We have waivers.
2:20We can help you with waivers and trades and trade advice, Sunday recaps.
2:24Do not look at your dial and don't touch it.
2:26Don't you go anywhere. Identify your dial. Leave it alone.
2:29Speaking of which, we're gonna go over the players nobody's talking about.
2:32But first, we're gonna go to an ad. This episode is presented by Verizon.

2:58All right, players nobody's talking about. And sometimes this is nobody and sometimes it's just we haven't talked about them yet.
3:04But either way, DK, I want you to start off with the player not being discussed this year for whatever reason that
3:10right here at the buzzer you want to mention as a player worth targeting.
3:14Devontae Adams, Los Angeles Rams. Weird player to not really talk about for the last six months, especially considering Puka Nakua's tumultuous offseason.
3:20Good word. I genuinely don't really know what to do with Adams.
3:24I think I'm excited about him based on the price that he is right now in drafts.
3:28Right now he's going as wide receiver 25, 57th overall.
3:31Some of the guys around him, Luther Burden, Terry McLaurin, Darian Price, Bayshol Tootin, Travion Henderson, Jamison Williams.
3:36That's like a motley crew of high variance, potentially exciting, but also scary picks.
3:40I think Adams, he's probably right now one of the better values in drafts just based on the fact that I think
3:46a lot of people think he's washed. And I'm not sure that he is.
3:50And especially in this offense. We've talked about this a million times.
3:53You want every piece in this Rams offense that's going to touch the football.
3:57He's clearly one of them. If Puka Nakua gets hurt or goes out, I think that makes Adams like potential sky high, like truly top five potential.
4:05And this is a guy that did lead the NFL last year in touchdowns.
4:09The question I have is, so he had under 800 yards and 14 touchdowns.
4:12So he had 789 yards and 14 touchdowns. Weird line.
4:15He could just have 700 yards and seven touchdowns and that's a great season, but then you're kind of mad you drafted him.
4:22So I think that's the question and that's why we haven't talked about him.
4:25We have him ranked as if he'll score a lot, but not lead the NFL.
4:30And therefore it's like, yeah, it's kind of middling.
4:32It's one of the weirder stat lines you look at because it's not just 700.
4:36He really had 800 yards. It's not that he had 800 yards and 14 touchdowns.
4:40He had 800 yards and 14 touchdowns and only 14 games.
4:44He only played 14 games. If he played three more, he probably has like 16 touchdowns and maybe a thousand yards.
4:49Yep. The thing about Devontae, I took him in our ringer league.
4:53I think I thought he was a year younger than he is.
4:56That doesn't really matter. But he is 33 turning 34 in December.
4:59Ew. That's gross. That's older than I thought. That's like, I feel like the big years are Jordan year turned 23 in your Jesus year when you're 33.
5:07And that's like when you really start to evaluate things.
5:10Yes. Like Mike Evans is 33, but he turned 33 a week ago.
5:13And I'm like, wow, Devontae's gonna be 34 in December.
5:16I do agree with you though, DK. Like there's glowing reports.
5:19He seems to be the type of player who's aging well and he like does what he does well and that's it.
5:25Right. He's always kind of, he's never been. He's a footwork guy.
5:29He's Tim Duncan. Right. And removing age, his role in the offense is probably one of the most stable in fantasy.
5:35He is. Yeah. And like you said, he's never really been relying on explosive speed or, or, you know, overpowering strength or anything like that.
5:42He's just, he's a route runner. His best, his footwork in his first six steps is the best of the NFL.
5:47He must've had one of the, I didn't look this up, but he must've had one of the lowest catch rates of
5:53any receiver last year in the NFL. He had 114 targets and 60 catches.
5:57He only had 60 catches. Um, so it's a very weird player.
6:01I sense that you don't like him as much as DK.
6:04I know. I just, I just kind of glossed past him each time.
6:07Yeah. It just feels weird. Yeah. It's some weird place.
6:10He had eight targets a game. He ranked 13th among all players in targets.
6:14My, my issue with Devante is among other, there's just a lot of things of aging player.
6:19Even if you're like, Oh, he's not aging that much.
6:22Well, I mean, I guess everybody's just the same every year, but it's more like aging guy.
6:26The statistical decline already started in the yards is hidden by the touchdown thing.
6:30And the question honestly is, I know this sounds silly, but we're how much were the Rams chasing the passing stuff at
6:36the goal line to get Stafford an MVP and Stafford wanted it.
6:40I know that sounds silly, but like that is kind of the thing sometimes is Stafford just like, they kind of wanted a lot of touchdowns for him.
6:47And I think Stafford had something to prove coming off the back and the con they were going to trade him.
6:53Don't forget. But it's not like it didn't work.
6:56Like they were the best team in the league basically.
6:58No, but I think that if Stafford goes from throwing, what did he throw 40?
7:03How, however many touchdowns last year. And then it comes down to merely 31.
7:07There's 14 less touchdowns. That's how many Devante had.
7:09If Devante goes from 14 to nine, then you're probably mad.
7:12He was your fourth pick. Now the flip side is maybe the ceiling's really the floor is really high.
7:17Cause he could keep doing it. My thing though is very simple, which is I'd rather just take Terrence Ferguson.
7:23Who's the tight end on the Rams, who is basically kind of going on drafted depending how big your league is.
7:29And I just love Terrence Ferguson. We have not talked about him enough either.
7:33We we've said our Titan sleepers this year are kind of like Mark Andrews, Jawan Johnson, but Terrence Ferguson is like my favorite last pick dart throw.
7:40And there's like a lot of guys this year that there are like that.
7:44And I want to add three more today, but Terrence Ferguson is just probably the number three receiver on the Rams.
7:50And if anything happens to Pukka Nikua or Devante Adams, I think Terrence Ferguson is the number two receiver on the Rams as a tight end.
7:57And that's like a crazy lucrative role. And I'm kind of just rather have Terrence Ferguson.
8:01Honestly, you can add them off waivers when your draft ends.
8:05Then I have my fourth pick on Devante. I like I like the Terrence Ferguson shout.
8:09I think the one other thing about Devante that's an ice DK is that he it's like if you had to bet
8:15who's going to play more games this season, would you take the 33 almost 34 year old Devante or his counterpart?
8:21The 24 25 year old Pukka Nikua. Yeah, probably Adams.
8:24Pukka Nikua played 16 games last year. He had 1700 yards.
8:27He was fantastic. And yet you're like, man, if anything were to happen to Pukka, I think Devante might almost be more reliable.
8:33You're like, 34 year old guy with hamstring problems.
8:36I'm taking him. Devante scored 14 touchdowns with Pukka putting up 1700 yards.
8:39I'm like maybe in another world that's actually could be better.
8:42It does more girls is the age reversal. You're like, oh wait, she's the mature one.
8:47Yeah, you know what I mean? Pukka lives in the blue tent.
8:50I just like thinking of Adams. If he doesn't have 10 touchdowns this year, I'm going to be surprised.
8:55Yeah, that's fair. He's maybe he's like my Evans.
8:58We kept saying the oh my God, my voice is going even just talking about he's getting choked up.
9:03Maybe that's a sign to move on. I think you're right.
9:06He'll have touchdowns again. Craig, who is another player that you think we're not that nobody's talking about that is worth taking?
9:12This is like a late in the offseason thing for me that I've been thinking about more Brees Hall, a guy who
9:18I've had mixed feelings on in my time on this show.
9:21Um, his average draft position is like running back 16, 32 overall.
9:25In the in the drafts that I've been in, he never goes that high.
9:29He falls. It's the Jets. He's not sexy. It's the history of Brees Hall.
9:33It's like he had one good season a while ago and it hasn't worked out since the team has been a disaster.
9:39He's weirdly turned into a guy where if you take him people kind of make fun of you about it.
9:44Totally. Like you get ribbed about it. He's probably the he's the best young running back behind a good old line in the league that nobody cares about.
9:52I think the Jets are going to have like a legitimately good offensive line.
9:56I think the way they're talking about Brees Hall is that he's going to be the every down guy.
10:01Brees Hall has caught 76 passes once in a season like he is very capable.
10:05And that is the key to kind of hitting that ceiling with running backs is you usually need to find that guy who can catch passes.
10:13So I'm like, man, the Jets have been obviously so bad for so long.
10:16And you're like, if this team can only just be competent, fine, middle of the road with Geno Smith and a good offensive line.
10:23Brees Hall could be a great pick this year.
10:26I like this. I have been very skeptical of Garrett Wilson and Brees Hall.
10:29And because I'm just skeptical, this Geno thing's going to work.
10:33But I do think Geno probably is somewhere between what he was in the Seahawks last year or two years ago.
10:38Yeah. Last year. I think he's going to be a total disaster like last year.
10:43The important part also is the most Jets thing that happens is not the Jets being the worst team in the league and getting the first pick.
10:50The most Jets thing to happen is being just good enough to play themselves out of the seven and ten.
10:56Yeah. And they win seven games. So they have to use they have three first rounders, the Colts and the Dallas first rounders.
11:02Put them all together. Yeah. They have to use those to trade up instead of just earning the pick.
11:07And so Geno just being that good enough to play them out of the pick, but being bad enough that they don't
11:13make the playoffs is kind of where this is going.
11:16And I agree. Brees, he's going to be and they have they have good offensive linemen on the Jets.
11:21It's it is the best thing they've been investing in it heavily over the years.
11:26Frank Reich. You know what I mean? It also helps that they have the top five easiest defense easiest slate of opposing defenses.
11:32Yeah. Look, I'm not going to pretend that Frank Reich is exciting, but I'm like, could could could could Brees Hall be
11:38a kind of off brand Ken Walker, Chase Brown type a guy who's doing things in the passing game running the ball?
11:44Good offensive line. They use him all the time.
11:47Now that you say it other than Patrick Holmes and Gina Smith, what are the differences between the Chiefs and the Jets?
11:53Right. And Joe Burrow. Yeah. Chiefs Jets. Good old line.
11:56Yeah. Outdated play calling guys. Yeah. Yeah. Basically the same teams.
11:59Yeah. Same thing. Brees Hall is 25 years old.
12:01That's all I'm saying. I like you're right that Brees Hall is a guy that just falls in the right.
12:07That's where I think you're it's a good point.
12:09I think you can think about taking him not and then he might fall back to you.
12:14I think he's a fantastic second running back to have on your team.
12:17While we're on the Jets, the other person was shout out as another like last pick kind of doesn't get drafted depending
12:24on your platform that if you if you actually believe in the Jets and believe in Gino Smith and just even if
12:30you think they're gonna be bad, but just airing the ball out again.
12:33Again, 80 Mitchell if you don't if you think Garrett Wilson's might be have a good year, but then he you don't
12:39get him 80 Mitchell is really talented like great with separation receiver that the Colts gave up on and the Jets have
12:46it wouldn't be weird to me at all of 80 Mitchell was like pretty competent playing a lot for the Jets.
12:51And I think the Jets have a reason to kind of give him snaps to start the year.
12:56He's talented. He's a mercurial player, but I that to me is another like great dart throw just in case it's week one.
13:03Like he's a very obvious big week one would be huge waivers guy and then you can move on if he doesn't play.
13:09Yeah, but I think he's a good just literal last pick in any size league.
13:13Yeah, he's a I mean super super discounted version of like what you're looking for with Garrett Wilson.
13:18I think Garrett Wilson is a better player. He's probably gonna have more target targets in this offense, but you have to
13:24kind of pay up a little bit for Garrett Wilson.
13:27He's going in a range where there's gonna be other good players.
13:31I loved 80 Mitchell is a dart throw late if this offense is a lot better than we think it is gonna be it.
13:37I just keep coming back to the fact that I think coming into this year.
13:41We thought there was gonna be way more target competition in the in the in the Jets offense with them using a
13:47first-round pick on Omar Cooper who hasn't really stood out in training camp from everything I've seen yeah, and then the tight
13:54end Kenyon Sadiq who hasn't I think he's hurt and he may be like slow to kind of break into this offense.
14:00They're just kind of going into the season with it's gonna be Garrett Wilson 80 Mitchell and Brees Hall.
14:05I think are like the big target earners in this office Mason Taylor mix in but I mean again a comical amount
14:11of like the amount of just where these guys were drafted.
14:14I know Wilson was drafted so many second rounders very early second round pick right Brees all the 80 Mitchell was you
14:20know decently Mason Taylor second rounder yeah Mason very highly drafted two very very highly drafted tight ends ever in the O-line
14:26it is like very invested in offense. Yeah, 80 Mitchell was a second rounder.
14:30Mm-hmm Gino Smith is a high draft pick sure who took him again.
14:34I can't remember so weird that he's back. It is really you really straight.
14:38It hasn't really sunk in yet. You have to really try to ignore it.
14:42Yeah That should that be a mini power hour next week is just ranking things you'll see and just kind of like
14:48whoa what in the hell is that Gino Smith throwing a pass to the Jets in a regular season games Yeah, uh
14:54DK who's another player that you think is Nobody's talking about enough that you think could be good this year T Higgins
15:00for the Bengals I don't feel like we've even really mentioned him every year.
15:04He just kind of falls through the cracks flies under the radar He's very consistently scores fantasy points year in and year out.
15:10I mean especially when burrow has been healthy basically the last four or five years Burrow's been healthy T Higgins is going
15:16to Really, you know, just score a lot of touchdowns Kind of a younger version of Devonta Adams.
15:21He really is I was actually gonna bring that up because they're like Adams is sort of a discount version of T
15:27Higgins in a lot of ways because you're gonna rely on T Higgins to score touchdowns He's not a super high target rate guy.
15:34He's not gonna get a ton of catches, but he hits deep passes and he catches a lot of touchdowns He's got
15:40all the red meat Right, um, and he has every year probably like four out of the top eight catches in the NFL You know what I mean?
15:48And then high pointing he's so such a huge target And and burrow trust him implicitly just gonna throw it up there
15:54for him let him come down with it Um, this is what I locked on to so basically last the last five
16:00years The worst finish he had was uh Two years or in 2023 when burrow only played 10 games He finished as
16:06like the wide receiver 41 in points per game But other than that he's like a top 20 receiver every single year
16:12in his career wide receiver 11 wide receiver 4 wide receiver 19 wide receiver 13 The the important thing here is the
16:19bangles in the last five seasons with burrow and Higgins First and pass touchdowns second and pass rate third and pass attempts
16:25per game Seventh and points per game and fifth and passing yards so there's just a big pie there of fantasy points
16:31that you want to get a part of and I think it's going to be concentrated Once again jamar chase is going
16:37to be obviously the the number one in this offense But there's years where t higgins isn't really that far behind in
16:43terms of catches per game yards per game and touchdowns It's funny.
16:46We used to talk about how the the the cowboys were like the off-brand bangles And now it's almost like t higgins
16:52is the off-brand george pickens totally totally when it used to be the other way around yeah And so t higgins has become a overlooked guy.
17:00You don't really think too much about him. George pickens is like cowboy sexy or bigger It's like the same thing and
17:06everyone's now going after george pickens You can just wait around and get to you.
17:10T higgins was like shorthand for the best number two receiver in the nfl And now t higgins is the t higgins
17:16of t higgins is the best number two hundred percent.
17:19I've weirdly Kind of avoided t higgins this year.
17:21I haven't picked him in any of my drafts I don't know why i'm just kind of not Focused on him, but
17:27then as I was digging into to kind of do the research today on t higgins was like I feel like i'm kind of missing out.
17:35I should have had I should have grabbed him It's all it's all there like once you have him on your team.
17:41Yeah, maybe drafting him won't feel like anything Week one He's gonna get three end zone targets and you're like man.
17:47This is great. Yeah I hope the vangals also have the third easiest schedule according to warren sharps It's so over it's
17:53like the game totals per vegas if joe burrow plays all 17 games where t higgins is going now in drafts will
17:59be a value Yeah, I got him in the ringer league and everyone just kind of nodded.
18:03I know that's that's exactly it's like. Oh, yeah T higgins solid pick Craig do you have another player that you think?
18:10No one's talking about but will be good pick Nobody is talking about Chris godlin on the bucks.
18:15Yeah, it feels like we've just moved past him feels like we decided that when he was 28 years old and he
18:21dislocated his ankle everyone's like that's it His career is over he got on that on that cart and what did he say to his trainer?
18:28He was like back at work to work back to work joe, which was devastating He has the dislocated ankle.
18:33He's out misses the second half 20 24 comes back last year Plays a couple games earlier in the season Then misses a little more time.
18:41He kind of I think he rushed himself back a little bit.
18:44Yeah Came back to close the year and was like Top 24 wide receiver in the league which would be a startable receiver on your roster.
18:51He Was averaging 11 fantasy points a game and you look at what godlin was doing before he went down in 2024
18:57He was the number two wide receiver in fantasy.
19:00Yeah, which is like crazy. Yeah, he was having an insane year He had a hundred he was on pace for 120
19:06catches He's like a off-brand version of I'm on Rob.
19:09He's just catching a ton of passes He's getting all of the easy button stuff over the middle.
19:14Yeah, he's going as like the 35th wide receiver off the board Which is just like and again, I don't think anyone's
19:20reaching for Chris godwin I think he'll probably fall in most drafts and it you have a buko who probably might have
19:26turf toe you have mcgillen mcmillan who's Off and on with a knee injury.
19:30You have a rookie and ted hurst mike evans is gone If the bucks are healthy and the offensive line is healthy
19:36and baker's healthy god I think is just sitting there as like a really solid pick I feel like people think godwin is just done.
19:43Yeah, he's 30. He's not treating like he's 35 and it's It's fascinating.
19:46Can you imagine being 35? No way never heard of it.
19:50I think it's fascinating because People are treating godwin season last year like he hit the age cliff, but it was like
19:56he was coming back from a Dislocated ankle and he still wasn't and then he had some compensatory injuries kind of associated
20:02with trying to come back Too quickly from that and he had to like go back to the bench for I was
20:08like six or seven more games after coming back in week four or five um, but yeah, I mean I feel like
20:14they did they did give him a big new contract Um, and so like he's still part of their plans.
20:20He's still part of the team That part of it also reminds me a lot of mark andrews where it's a clear
20:26out classic year after the year after guy Where we were like, oh you weren't the same guy and you're almost you're
20:32roughly 30 years old and it's not what we remember And then the team pays them Yeah, the team knows a lot
20:38more than you do about the health situation if the team thought they were falling off They wouldn't give him an extension.
20:44It's like zachary Evans go remember how zach hurts I thought zach hurts was done like five years before before he He
20:50went on to score be like a top 10 or top 12 tight end like five years Turn around five years after
20:56I thought he was done in the league So maybe that's something that's gonna happen here with godwin.
21:01I like that one a lot. So And then I know we said it but just worth reminding the book We don't
21:07know the extent of the abuka injury, right? Like that is like the abuka with the toe injury like it's worth reminding
21:13sprain toe could be toe turf toe could be a sprain toe But I know we've talked about oh if it's turf
21:20toe, it's bad But also he also is known to be hurt like at the very least He has a he's a
21:26receiver with a toe injury that you want to play 17 weeks, you know, I mean it's worth being docked So it's
21:32a weekly game like if any week the book and mrs godwin's gonna be way better.
21:36So now it's really This episode is brought to you by adt one second You're enjoying your day off the next your

22:08rise the last to leave They always have that little extra something and maybe you've got it, too Chevrolet together.
22:14Let's drive Visit chevy.com slash trucks to explore the lineup Someone I'll throw out is I think there's Noah's Ark style two
22:20sets of Steelers It's the Jalen war and rico-dattle combo running back and the dk metcalf michael pitman combo receiver We have
22:26not talked about a lot pitman We just talked about last week for the first time in months Since they really acquired
22:32him and I Actually feel really strongly. I don't like rico-dattle for the at cost for the Steelers and I don't really
22:38like dk metcalf I cost these metcalfs more expensive, but I don't mind jalen warren and I don't mind Michael pitman because
22:44we had joked like a few days ago Michael pitman might be off-brand mike evans in that this guy has been around
22:51you're kind of sick of big x receiver That also can kind of do underneath routes and we're like, you know what
22:57the style there and rogers He could be the devante adams 800 yards, but 14 touchdowns I wouldn't be shocked because rogers
23:03gonna throw those targets and no one's taking michael pitman I kind of feel a way about jalen warren, too Where i'm
23:09like he's kind of like he's not as good as a receiver of kenny gay wall But I do think jalen warren's a better pass blocker than rico-dattle.
23:17Yes rico-dattle not a great pass blocker And so eli heiden reich is like the rookie seventh rounder during the last pick of the draft.
23:24I think and so I mean, he's not gonna.
23:26Oh, no, he wasn't No, he was just seventh rounder for steelers He went up in the thing and because it was pittsburgh he's from there.
23:33Yeah, but um I mean, he's not gonna be the pass protector for rogers immediately So jalen warren's gonna be the block
23:39on the field making sure and rogers doesn't take the last hit of his career But I also think he can stay
23:46on the field of the goal line rico-dattle Is probably like more traditionally gonna be that guy But jalen warren can do
23:52it the same way you wouldn't think kenny gingles into the goal line But then he's kind of making plays and rogers
23:58trusts him and that over that always supersedes everything people think going this season People always underestimate the aaron rogers has his
24:04guys and those guys play and I kind of like jalen warren Is gonna be the guy from there that he's gonna
24:10be like yeah goal line to yard line I want jalen in and if he earns that trust Then jalen warren's probably actually pretty underrated.
24:17Yeah, I mean there's a couple things about the steelers one I think you have to assume that the offense is gonna be better.
24:24It just is with mike mccarthy I think they're gonna be running way more like 11 personnel I just think it's going
24:30to be a smoother offensive system in pittsburgh. Also the offensive line is Dare I say good?
24:34It's young and good like The left side of their line You know, there's a few things you have to worry about
24:41but like I don't know zach frazier is one of the best centers in the league Fautanu it has a lot of
24:47promise mccormick is now has like come out of nowhere and is like one of the best Upcoming guards in the league.
24:53They just took big max out of arizona state.
24:55Who's gonna be the right tackle? He's looking pretty good.
24:58This offensive line might be very solid. Yeah How do you feel about um project jones who you took in the first
25:04round being flipped to dallas for a uh a fourth for What a project jones and a fourth for a third?
25:10I I can't believe somebody wanted him I'll respect him.
25:13I hope he has success, but like Mm-hmm With all due respect with all due respect.
25:17He said it. I thought he was going to Languish and we would get nothing back for him the fact that whatever
25:23we swapped a fourth for a third great He was He was not good for the last couple years He was not
25:29good if you sack your own quarterback in celebration that you're gonna get traded You know outside of broad is that moment the reason he's gone now?
25:37I mean the steelers did help actually done a pretty good job drafting on the offensive line the last three years like
25:43after broderick jones Frazier mccormick Fautanu, which I they all three of those guys.
25:47I believe the steelers got in the same draft and now max e on a shirt It's not bad looking up.
25:53How do you think the? How do you envision the split going between warren and and uh, rico dattle because i'm looking
25:59at last year Jalen warren was kind of like the lead back.
26:02It was like a weird kind of mix gainwell was gainwell's definitely much more of just a receiver playing running back type
26:08of guy he had Gainwell had 73 catches, which I think was in the top five among running backs or somewhere close
26:14to that for the warren thing to pay off He needs to be the guy in the red zone, right?
26:20Yes And that's the thing. It's one of those we haven't talked and again again The steelers offense might not be good.
26:26Rodgers gonna be in shotgun We've talked for years now about it's the park and bark He's too slow to do the under center.
26:33He can't move. So everything's in shotgun. He has to see everything He doesn't want to get hit So it's bad for
26:39the running game to be in shotgun, etc, etc So it might not be worth it.
26:43However, if jalen warren Is yeah If everything gets bifurcated and one guy's doing the passing downs one guy's doing the goal
26:49line You'll probably want neither But if jalen warren gets both more often than not then he's probably underrated and pitman It's
26:55the same thing where kind of don't love dk met calf But michael pitman four rounds later might just straight up be
27:02better in fantasy Pitman's gonna lead this team in catches.
27:04I think he's gonna lead this team in red zone and end zone targets like Dude, met calf is the wide receiver
27:1034 and adp right now And there's nothing to do with him too high.
27:14I'm like that's like kind of crazy. Oh, I think I'd much rather have pitman But dk met calf if he was
27:20on a different team would be way higher I just know sure yeah, rogers like really makes it Metcalf was on the paths instead of a.
27:28J brown. I'd be way higher. Yes I mean met calf finished as Metcalf finished as wide receiver 24 last year Yeah, but now michael pitman's here.
27:35Yeah It's true And they didn't really have any depth last year.
27:39No. Yeah, I mean now they passed to their tight ends like a million times Don't they that was like a big part of their art Right, right.
27:46I mean you drafted higher, but also I don't know it just Maybe make have some good value to know I mean,
27:52I'm not like making that argument, but I do it's kind of crazy How far he's fallen off in terms to 34th
27:59Yeah, pitman's the 46 the wide receiver off the board like he's going around He's going right before brandon aubry.
28:04Yeah Yeah at that point. I'm like okay. Maybe pitman's of good value Deky give me another player you think we have
28:10not or nobody's talking about nobody the whole world This one's kind of surprising because I think we all like him as
28:16tt mcmillan t-mac from the panthers who had it's just the panthers It is yeah Yeah, it's hard to get excited about that offense right now.
28:24They've had injuries on their offensive line Yeah, even though I think that's great, but nobody really bryce young's a meme and then the offensive line.
28:31It's yeah I mean they have you know, Ramona roe freeling is like a rookie.
28:35That's probably gonna have to play like, you know Rashid walkers had to sign for the minimum and approve it deal, you
28:41know, because they have um, you know Taylor moton is injuries They obviously had a key a quantum like there's a lot of issues with her tackles.
28:48Yeah, and then bryce young is Looks like a middle schooler when he wears a backpack Yeah, and so I think that
28:55kind of Maybe just dampened our excitement about what he did as a rookie.
28:58I mean last year he had uh, 1014 yards.
29:01Yeah, was 13th among if you go back at a row mcmillan not bryce young Yeah, tt-a row mcmillan had over a
29:07thousand yards receiving Um, he was the clear cut immediately the clear cut number one in that offense, which I think is
29:13he kind of already feels like a veteran Yeah, you know, i'm just like mcmillan.
29:17He'll get you 1100 yards seven touchdowns every year.
29:20Yeah dependable big bodied Kind of already looks like a pro You know feels like a pro it's he in a way
29:26is kind of like How excited we've been about emeka buka during the season.
29:30We probably should be excited about ted a row mcmillan Totally fair Like it's is it really that hard to see T
29:36mac next year as a top 20 pick it doesn't not at all That's a lot of people will be growing that
29:42is extremely hard to I don't know why people it's like I feel like when nfl players gain weight in the offseason
29:48It's never like yeah, I put on six pounds of muscle.
29:51Yeah, that's great. It's always like I put on 15 pounds 20 pounds Well, yeah, but it's they're not normal people there
29:57I mean first of all I mean the really the plan is like to build up and then he'll lose it throughout
30:03the season like yeah Probably building sure that's the kind of way I'm like dude 20 pounds is a lot.
30:09That's like an eighth of his body weight when morvin harrison does it That's bad, but also a tenth of his body weight.
30:15I'm like that's a lot I think it's kind of common though for rookies a lot of them come in and just
30:22realize like they have he wasn't like skinny No, but he was he was a little He's six five why re maybe
30:28a little bit wiry last year I feel like when you watch him, but he says he he says he was playing
30:34more at what he's playing what he is now in terms of weight in college He says he felt like a little
30:40bit better at the way He is now when he was playing in college.
30:44He always just felt stronger and so he's back to his college weight So that's what he said.
30:49I don't really know he was listed at 212 last year So you tell me listings are listings who knows what do you think he was?
30:56It's the I actually the least knowable things 205 They actively like 25 so you think he was 225 in college Yeah,
31:02yeah Honestly, like if you look at pounds is a lot if you look at the history of the NFL It is fascinating though.
31:09Like there are very few it's it's happening more now, but they're very how tall is he like six four six five
31:15There's very few guys in the NFL Who are six four six five and like less than 210.
31:20It's usually You know, they're six foot 200 Or six five to 25.
31:23You know, I mean like there there's not that many guys that are like Have the body type of George pickings in
31:30the NFL that have done like really high numbers and been really good It is interesting that he says he's closer to the weight.
31:36He was in college Yeah, because that means last year for whatever reason he was playing playing a little bit light I
31:42think that there are issues with Carolina and there's reasons we haven't talked about him a ton because he just kind of
31:48perfectly slots in with T Higgins and Devante Smith and all these guys that could kind of It's just pop but he is I think here's the thing.
31:56He's great Like tenor Mcbillen is a great player.
31:59Totally agree. And if he was another example of it's like T Higgins incredibly talented If in a different situation, we'd be
32:05like freaking out, but he's in Carolina, which is almost muting like how good I think tenor Mcbillen is Yeah, and I
32:11think that's the point of this episode. He's individually incredible It's impressive how immediately he just became like the reliable number one
32:17wide receiver on a playoff team He just showed up and was like immediately good And it's I mean he was picked
32:23a lot higher and he was much more Well thought of prospect like especially compared to a guy like Xavier Leggett who
32:29was a first-round pick for them a couple years before I mean he came in and and Ted came in and me.
32:35It was just like You know throw me the ball.
32:38I'm gonna go get it And I think he's not he doesn't have a ton of car competition at for targets this
32:44year It's basically him and Jalen Coker and they're the best to the office and they have a they have like a
32:50platoon of tight ends That they're gonna use. I don't know.
32:53It's it. I think he's gonna get fed targets And I think to your point What you're really saying is if you
33:00if you do what we've been saying which is start running back running back If it comes back around in a 12
33:06or a 14 team league and you're like, oh, no Teddero McMillen's gonna be my number one receiver.
33:11It's like that's okay. That's what that's what happened in the ringer league for me.
33:15That's right He's my number one receiver. I don't know how I feel about it, but I think there I I Know
33:21I really like him as a prospect. I thought he'd look great as a rookie and I'm just basically praying that the
33:27Panthers offense is in a total mess because I think even if it's just like an okay offense He'll be really good.
33:33We might have to yeah the end of the season.
33:36That would be great one to revisit Just don't pray for the Panthers to not be a Yeah, yeah Who else Craig
33:42are you do you think is a player? No one's talking It's kind of weird, but I just think we have not
33:48talked about Drake may at all right this offseason Who's like the third quarterback off the board?
33:53It's sort of been like yeah, he's Good. Yeah, sort of we haven't really dove into any of his numbers or what
33:59he might do this year Yeah, I think we've done a lot of like well, obviously Josh Allen's the number one and
34:05we're like well Lamar's gonna bounce back Can burrow have a big year, you know, and then there's all the like Jalen
34:11hurts Caleb Williams Trevor Lawrence, Justin Herbert And then Drake may just kind of sitting there as a guy who was the
34:17number two quarterback in fantasy last year Almost won the MVP and they added AJ Brown and Romeo Dobbs and he's going
34:23later Well, he's there he's just going I mean, he's not going later obviously, but like he's he's going later than he finished last year.
34:30Yes, which I would argue he's Can you name another quarterback who's going in the top 10 whose situation improved better than Drake may's?
34:37Maybe Justin Herbert I am a little afraid that Drake may Is kind of in retrospect the most obvious pick in fantasy
34:43like because all these other guys have coordinator changes and your Drake may just gets another year Josh McDaniels.
34:48Yes, totally year two in the system. I mean, he ran for like 500 yards last year only four of them were
34:54touchdowns It's only the third year of his career.
34:57Yeah, you know what I mean? Like we it could still get a lot better and I guess I would say Herbert
35:03is the only one you could really say has dramatically improved situation because of McDaniel but Drake may making it work last
35:09year with Demario Douglas and Kayshawn booty and Stefan digs and whatever and now he just Diggs and booty Diggs and booty
35:15are now gone and they've completely revamped their receiver and he's just like sitting there my point is like If you haven't
35:21heard a lot about AJ Brown or about Drake May I think you should still like aggressively draft him the one thing
35:28that I do been saying late quarterback I've been saying it probably the most but then we become ubiquitous.
35:33I mean Drake may going outside the top 45 picks suddenly is like oh The one thing I do worry about with
35:39May not that I think he's going to regress from a football point of view But from a fantasy point of view
35:45He had a league high 62 scrambles last year.
35:48Think about that Like he scrambled more than Josh Allen Patrick Mahomes Justin Herbert Baker Trevor like he was scrambling basically I
35:54think their offense was just drop back if you don't like if you miss your first read or two take off figure
36:00it out Yeah, it's an offensive line issue. I also like it's not like has it's not like the rushing was a huge part of his fit?
36:07I mean like 400 yards rushing is cool. It's four touchdowns.
36:10It's not like I mean it is a big deal I think to know I mean 40 yards is not nothing I do think to DK's point though.
36:18It is a funny dynamic though with younger quarterbacks We're kind of like Jackson Dart took an example of this of because
36:24fantasy football the rules are stupid and rushing yards are worth more than passing yards I'm just saying it's dumb He averaged
36:30four rushing Points per game four rushing fantasy points per game But there were there was that was 11th like it was
36:36not like yeah, I know but I just keep thinking about the Sunday night football game They played where after he went
36:42like 20 of 23 or something and then after the game they were like hey You were like perfect the first half or something.
36:49He's like no, I wasn't I like and they're like yeah No, you completely passed it.
36:54Yeah, but like when we go to grade it There were a couple open throws that I didn't see in time So
37:00I just had to run totally and like a funny thing that happens is sometimes Getting better at quarterback and actually being
37:06learning where to find a check down instead of just bailing and you end up getting 12 yards rushing Learning to play
37:12quarterback sometimes like she makes you like slightly less valuable in fantasy when you're not just being Jackson Dart being like first
37:18second go Yes, I'm not saying I'm not that worried about it with trick me But I is a funny thing that happens.
37:24Yes. I think what we'll learn is like is Will will he ever will they ever use him in the end zone?
37:31Like they use Josh Allen Like is he gonna be the guy who like the keeper scrambles in three or four touchdowns a year?
37:37Or is there ever a chance that and I think we find we'll find out this year where it's like Oh, no,
37:43he could give you like eight to 12 because he's huge and they use him like that I am a little worried
37:49after talking about late quarterback all year that Drake may just Turns out to be a great fourth round pick Maybe that
37:56would have been easier to Drake may season last year was kind of insane It's get 40 40 400 4400 yards 31
38:02touchdowns eight picks another 450 rushing yards schedule I mean it was a we we we are still underrating what he did
38:08I think Schedules easy He made the Super Bowl and became second in MVP.
38:12It's fine I know Bill claims that that he didn't even have to try and half the fourth quarters He was like now more competitive games.
38:19He might put up more stuff Right. That's like the Jalen hurts thing where he scored so many remember back a couple
38:25years ago when Jalen hurts would like six You'd have like six points by the third quarter and in the fourth quarter.
38:31You'd score like 15. Yeah Uh Similar to drink me.
38:34I just want to mention Bo nicks. It's just another quarterback guy We really have not talked I haven't talked about the
38:40ankle injury and everything with Broncos He's just for a bunch of confluence of reasons.
38:44They just haven't talked about him and you know We've talked a lot about Kyler Murray, but bonics is like the other
38:50quarterback You can just get really late as a rushing option.
38:53I know his ankles a thing, but I the quarterbacks that end up and I don't know if you guys have seen
38:59otherwise People when they're you always were like talking about who are the 12th quarterbacks gonna be because someone's gonna be back
39:05up quarterback of Patrick Mahomes and Matt Stafford and Bo nicks and Like there's one of those guys are not gonna start and the leagues.
39:12I'm in shockingly people want Patrick Mahomes and Matt Stafford over Bo nicks So Bo nicks falls and that is just a
39:19good example of a boring player that never comes up on a team That's probably gonna be really good Appropriately priced as
39:25a high upside backup quarterback that won't cost you very much He's like pretty good in fantasy and he's just another guy
39:31we haven't talked about a lot, but he's a part He's a good example Like why maybe waiting on quarterbacks are good
39:37or people get Josh and you're like man You can get Bo nicks and kyler Murray like really really really easily and
39:43one of them might just straight up be a Top seven quarterback for first half for the second half of the season
39:49nice guy who's again coming back into the same system He had an upgrade.
39:53They brought in Jalen Waddle. He has like a very solid unit around him And you're just like yeah, this is kind of like a Healthy safe environment.
40:01Yeah, yeah, they're like one of the yeah one of their offensive lines.
40:04Yes, we don't know what the play caller I think he's good.
40:08I don't know what the variable there I had what to do with that.
40:12Don't you feel I? I don't know I have all the play callers.
40:15Well, you're going from a hall of fame coach to Davis Webb We had a sterling reputation Sure, but I think well,
40:21yeah, I think Davis Webb like Sean paid has helped with his own reputation But I Do think that of all the
40:27coordinator changes having some guy that was like I don't know you look at Some former quarterbacks calling place for the first
40:34time all this stuff Sean Payton choosing to give up play calling to Davis Webb Is different to me than the old
40:40coordinator being fired and then i'm keeping someone else like it is different to me that Sean Payton will be there and
40:46I know it's like oh the joke is gonna be well When's he gonna take it back?
40:50I get that but he is there And so I do think that that I don't know it gives me a little
40:57more faith in the whole process This is the way hi, i'm john favreau We are launching the all-new star wars the

41:45the season before it even begins A.J brown for offensive player of the year is 40 to 1 to be the offensive
41:52player of the year I think a.J brown's odds of just leading the nfl or being top five in Targets and catches
41:58and yards and receiving touchdowns is so high I think people are totally underrating the revenge season that a.J brown might have
42:04for the patriots this year I know he's kind of fell off in philadelphia, but I think there was legitimate grievances I
42:10love a.J brown this year and I think it's Totally possible that he just is the best receiver in the nfl this
42:16season by the eye test and statistically so 40 to 1 I I love that bet so get your football futures in

42:33The people just we don't talk about enough that I want to make sure you mention one I these guys are getting
42:39talked about But it's late breaking just the packers running backs Josh jacobs missed somewhere between six games maybe the whole season,
42:45but marshall lloyd Being drafted like you know People kind of know he ends up going probably around that Chuba hubbard ish range sometimes earlier.
42:52I don't love him there just because Marshall lights had seven touches in two years And if marshall lloyd ends up being
42:58a healthy running back across the whole season I'm like actually genuinely happy for him He's had a very difficult road But
43:04I don't really want that to happen on my team because he I think the secret's out of the bag I Do
43:10kind of just think caleb johnson is going to be like the waiver wire hero of the year I don't know if
43:16he's even going to be active for week one But I kind of think caleb johnson who ended up from the steelers
43:23going to the packers At some point will just take up a pretty good amount of this job And so I he
43:29is another player that if you're in a 12 or or deeper league He's worth picking up minimum radar, but i'm like
43:35He kind of mocked He's He frame mods we're looking at a photo of him and at packers practice with marshall lloyd.
43:41He's like Six inches taller. It's like the derrick Derrick henry mark ingram picture It is yeah He really he's a big guy.
43:47I yeah So caleb johnson I just the upside frankly is so much higher because marshall lloyd basically it would be cool
43:53if he went It's like jonathan brooks if he had seven touches in two years and then it's just bell cow great
44:00But at some point that's almost borderline reckless from a team to be like this guy who can barely do anything Is
44:06just gonna get like all these touches? I don't know so I I Caleb johnson's like impossible to figure that out No,
44:12and so i'd rather take the guy who doesn't cost it How long would you hold on to caleb johnson when the
44:18season starts if he's not the problem? So I think well you have to do it for a couple weeks because he
44:24just got you gotta give it probably a month That's the that's the issue.
44:28And so I think The reason I think it's and again, it depends on your league like i'm not saying you should
44:34like if michael pittman's the last guy on your bench And that's a whatever the size you leak don't I wouldn't cut
44:40michael pittman for like Caleb johnson to be clear It does depend on the size.
44:44It's one of those where It it I think it's because if marshall lloyd gets hurt in week one Then you're like
44:50oh my god kill him johnson might be the starter and you just added him for free And I hate to say
44:56that about marshall lloyd, but he's never been healthy like it's never happened in the nfl And I I think it's again.
45:03It could be a deeper league thing The other person on threat devon veille for the saints sure who is a starting
45:09saints receive truly The first time we've mentioned him and I just want to throw it out another guy Where if you're
45:15kind of just going through your draft you look up you're like oh my god I have four receivers and one of
45:21them's injured and I just might not I don't have a backup receiver anymore Devon veille is starting for the saints jordan
45:27tyson's out two to three months of hamstring injury And it's going to be chris olave devon veille and then juwan johnson
45:33We've talked a lot about juwan johnson. I just want to note devon veille is literally the cheapest starting receiver Who will
45:39play in two receiver sets in the nfl and fantasy football veille So we have a we have a saints tyler shuck
45:45sample size with veille who last year For like a five-week stretch was very good and productive and he's playing like he
45:51will play and start and he's not Drafted any veille veille is one of those ones That's interesting because he was productive
45:58when he was given opportunities with the broncos and then they traded the saints traded two picks for him Yeah, not like
46:04high picks, but you know, they gave up two assets to get this guy.
46:08Yeah, he's interesting He's like six five to ten.
46:10He was a seventh round pick only two years ago.
46:13He's really old 28 years old Yeah, he's really old He's someone that if you've already drafted and you're like I kind
46:19of need a receiver early Like or like if book is out like just go add Craig didn't you you drafted him in your home league?
46:26I did I thought I saw that pick I was like that could be really interesting just because like one dollar one
46:32one dart at the end of the Well, uh at the end of the draft you might see a guy who gets
46:38like 20% target That's the other thing not the healthiest right a lot of and jordan tyson are two of the more
46:44volatile injury people in the league So I think with that said my dollar all-star team is caleb johnson who I don't
46:51think will get drafted But could be huge for the packers devon veille for the saints I mentioned ady mitchell on the
46:57jets terence ferguson on the rams all these guys are available really late and last one I'll just mention again not quite
47:03as late as those guys chris rodriguez for the jaguars There's a coin toss.
47:07Yeah running back for the jaguars coin toss flip that he's just the starting running back for the jaguars leads them in
47:13touches carries And snaps the fact that he played For cohen in back in the day is college.
47:18Yeah, and it's not like at kentucky I'm, not guaranteeing that he's going to lead the jaguars and all those stats in
47:24week one But I feel like it is closer to a coin flip than a lock that basial toot and is just
47:30the bell cow for the jaguars And I think la quint allen is probably gonna take passing down work, but he's already
47:36been injured And I think the passing down is going to be split between split between la quint allen and chris rodriguez
47:42And early down will be split between chris rodriguez and basial tootin And then any and alan's already hurt So I just
47:48think chris rodriguez is for whatever reason going like seven or eight rounds after basial Absolutely worth it.
47:53It's just fire. Yeah, and if he sucks, then you cut him but it's really cheap.
47:58So anyway, those are my Players to talk those are the guys sitting alone at lunch Eating like pudding pudding What's your fuck marry kill on these guys?
48:06Oh, the ones you oh, okay, so I have godwin may And brees I mean, it's so easy to say I guess
48:12i'll marry drake may that kind of feels like a cop-out um I God I thought this was easy for you.
48:17I don't know do do I dare say I would fuck a jet that sounds crazy to me You know what I mean?
48:24I'm like godwin that no context. That's just great.
48:26Chris godwin's famously a wonderful guy You're saying I should marry him He's just a lovely guy the video of him and
48:32his now wife the winning the super bowl. They're doing snow angels and the confetti.
48:37He's a lovely guy I would i'm gonna marry Drake may I'm gonna fuck chris god and i'll kill brees hall.
48:42I think that's the right answer DK well I got devonta adams t higgins and tet mcmillan or t mac Who It's
48:49kind of tough I don't know what to do with this really all right heifetz Our new our new inside joke when
48:55we've been here for two weeks is when we're having a hard time Like filling out a category like when we went
49:01on bill craig just craig's whole thing is just well I guess you can just say you didn't think of one You
49:07can just say I don't know the guy you're most worried about this year.
49:11Yeah, I didn't I couldn't think of one I didn't know how to do that.
49:15Oh flex category. I'm like, oh actually I guess I have to just fucking say something This is longer than I thought
49:21um I am going to just know that this is extremely important Right there.
49:25Fuck. There's the stakes are high fuck marry kill is the most important thing we do every year.
49:30So please focus Um, i'm going to marry t mac fuck t higgins and kill davante adams old yellow room Yeah, he's
49:36he's had his All right, looks like the old guy sacrifices him at the end of the movie.
49:41He's like I had my run Yeah, like the holy the guy guarding the holy grail.
49:46Yeah, and then he finally yeah I couldn't think I couldn't think of anything I on this one.
49:51I I don't I couldn't think of it Just want to see you do that on a rewatch all right craig what's the best for you?
49:58I'm like, ah Not nothing. I don't know Anyway, who's up you go i'm gonna Mary terrence ferguson.
50:03Wait, what are the options? I need to know.
50:05Oh, sorry. Well, I have I have a bunch of your prospects No, I don't don't count the one year guys the one dollar guys, right?
50:12You have you have Who do you have? Well, I have like four steelers and four one dollar guys.
50:18Well, you have bonix I'm bonix. You have let's do this.
50:21You have bonix is one. Jalen warren is one and michael pitman is one My god I'll I love it.
50:26You have to really critically think about it. I'll like fuck jalen warren, marry bo nix, and I will kill michael pitman Really?
50:33Yeah, but oh, I kind of like I kind of just want to marry all three You made him think twice.
50:39I didn't think about it. No, that's against the game.
50:41Of course not. No, you're right No, i'm gonna i'm gonna marry I couldn't decide I couldn't decide no i'm gonna this one bill.
50:48I uh, I couldn't decide I'm gonna marry bo nix because I don't want to marry to the stealers I don't want to you know stealers marriage.
50:55I don't know I'm marrying bo nix. Okay I'm fucking jalen warren.
50:59I'm killing michael pitman Oh, that's final answer. I think that's the same I don't remember the last time He did the
51:05same thing for the first person's letter All right, craig who won the movie?
51:09I'm like, ooh, uh Fuck. I don't I don't know What do you think it's a really good fight?
51:14Uh, the first thing bill ever told me have a take that's right Emails email us at ringer fantasy football gmail.com.
51:20Also what this is coming out friday start sending us fantasy courts We're gonna do fantasy court every wednesday during the season.
51:26We record them on tuesdays courts in session email us fantasy courts And i'm sure there's basically like whatever your friends are
51:32arguing about in your group chat Like we will we will settle it dk went to law school this summer like kim kardashian He passed the bar.
51:40Yeah, unlike kim kardashian So yeah, that was tough video so email Email us your fantasy courts disputes.
51:45We work we will settle it I think that the bar is like it's a weird word to use for what lawyers
51:51have to pass kind of literal those did you pass the bar?
51:54Did you clear the bar right well? Yeah, but you don't say clear the bar.
51:58Well, yeah, I know I just think it's weird that like you have to pay for your bar Yeah, you have to
52:04pay your bar dues So on this note, I also want people to email us take purges because we want your take
52:10purge ahead of the purge and there's a discord channel Please go to the discord channel and join and you can have
52:17Uh, your there's a take purge channel that'll exist for a week a few days left by the time you join this
52:23and please join the discord You can do the take purges and someone's take purge, which is now perfect for now I'm gonna say it.
52:30I forget their name is You shouldn't have to take a shit You just shit you just give a shit you got taking anything.
52:36Oh, you give a shit like why do you get what are you taking?
52:40Yeah, yeah People say I gotta go take a shit like you're not taking anything.
52:44That's definitely the wrong That is mind-blowing It's like when your thoughts are trapped in a bottle I go take a shit.
52:50That doesn't make what is that why did you think about for even a second?
52:55It makes no sense Yeah, but when you but when you say I'm gonna go take a nap Are you you're taking sleep?
53:01I don't know Take is a really I guess you are taking sleep No, I don't know what it you're not taking
53:07sleep anymore than you're taking a shit But you are literally depositing something when you're taking a shit like you were getting
53:13rid of it It's the opposite of taking a nap is meta you're depositing.
53:17I'm gonna go drop a load What is what's your fit?
53:20What's your favorite euphemism for taking a shit? Lay some cable maybe I've not heard that one I don't think I've heard
53:26that one leg leg cable I like to drop the kids off at the pool.
53:30Yeah It's an old classic my Friends we just quote there's a Rick and Morty line where it's like he's a spy
53:37blow him up We're gonna take a shit and it's just like over and over That's a good point take a shit
53:43doesn't really make sense Lay some cable all right.
53:45This one's from Ethan Ethan Ebone We asked for uh perms we want to know about perms and how perms work and
53:51what the deal is Because you know, it's 80s month or whatever we're doing.
53:55What are we calling it? Most 80s song possible month.
53:58Yeah, right the 80s were sick 80s were sick great 80s song month And then obviously immediately we just started seeing perms
54:04So then Ethan uh wrote in about perms great And Ethan said i'd like to share some knowledge about perms and my
54:10qualifications are one I am a man who has gotten a perm and two I also have a phd in chemistry Oh,
54:16I thought it was gonna be in perming Better what does phd stand for pretty huge dick?
54:21No, it's a conny line. I don't I don't actually know that was like real seventh grade What do you think back to me?
54:28I didn't want to guess honorary honorary doctorate it's what is the p and phd?
54:32honorary Well, it hold on Pape professor of honorary doctorate It says Doctor of philosophy That doesn't make any sense Latin philosophy
54:38Oh, it's lat oh a phd is latin It's like an rx What did you say honorary doctorate?
54:43It wouldn't be honorary It's an actual I don't know.
54:46I was making shit up. I'm trying to figure it out It just denotes the highest level of academic achievement.
54:51I didn't know it was latin. Did you guys know that?
54:54Whatever Philosophy doctor So it's a doc Doctor of philosophy is what that means because it's a lowercase h it's phd is
55:00philosophy Is the doctor and then the the h stands for nothing Huh Interesting What was the other person isn't someone's middle
55:06name the initial doesn't stand for anything? Harry s truman Is that right?
55:10Yeah, the s just an s he just threw it in there for good measure parents did Oh, oh It's actually his legal name.
55:17Yeah, it's just oh Harry s truman Oh, I thought he added that for for flair Oh, you think so?
55:22Well, I thought that's what you were That's what the amon ross st brown did their last name is just brown and
55:28then his dad made it st brown Actually, oh, yeah Yeah, his dad's last name is brown and he was like st
55:35brown will be better branding when the kids make the nfl and his wife was like you're Fucking nuts Well, his Maybe
55:41you just said this because I was reading about phds But his dad was like mr Universe Yes, we should bring him
55:47into our name brand company because he's got good ideas He he is good He's he's he's wild honestly That's a great
55:53I didn't know that about Harry s Anyway, so Ethan wrote about perms.
55:56That's a hairy ass truman you got there. Oh Ethan writes perms are of course very popular amongst women, but they were
56:03also of course popular amongst asian men And he says in recent years perms have become much trendier amongst all men Whether
56:09asian or not to do the rise and influence of k-pop in popular culture So he says here's how perms work the
56:15structure of straight hair is held together by what we call I'm going to try disulfide bonds and the disulfide refers to
56:21two sulfur atoms Which are held together a strong bond DK's hands together at least listening so hard So during a perm
56:27the hairdresser will put your hair into rollers the size of the rollers are determined by how big or small your waves
56:33or curls Will be how big of curls you going if you do this Probably 14 Yeah, maybe it maybe a 9c
56:39Yeah, the hairdresser will then put the perm solution into your hair and the perm solution contains ammonium thioglycol Thia glycolate Definitely
56:45just piss piss which is a chemical solution with more sulfur in it Imagine if that was what happened Yeah, anyway continue and be well, it's just here.
56:53I didn't I don't think I've really Really thought about this, but I guess it really smells Like this really bad like this like salt.
57:00Yeah piss because you're burning sulfur Yeah, you're burning your hair in sulfur with piss with piss burnt hair smells horrible So
57:06then without getting too into the chemistry and making this is still ethan Obviously without getting too into the chemistry making it
57:12complicated the sulfur in the perm solution breaks the disulfide bonds in your hair Which loosens the structure of your hair and
57:18allows it to take the shape of the rollers making it wavy or curly and then a second neutralizing solution Then reforms
57:25the disulfide bonds in the wavy orientation So you can't Yeah, so you can't Yeah, so you can't wash your hair for
57:31three days or else the hair will not set right as we all know from legally blonde So they curl it and
57:37then they freeze it essentially Yeah Well in place What you're saying doesn't sound that different to me than like somebody curling
57:43their hair You know what I mean? Where you just like put the curlers in you hold it for a while you
57:49get it hot and then it stays there But adding the chemical to hold it Yeah for days So locking it in
57:55place Locking it in place Here's the rub You your hair smells for three days Oh wow Your hair stinks How long does it last?
58:02Oh, I'm glad you asked After that you can do whatever you want Maintenance is different between long and short hair Hairdressers
58:08will push curly hair products on a perm to preserve the curl if you have longer hair Which is like half legit
58:14half marketing Ethan says for me and my short hair I just went back to using normal hair products everything was fine
58:20Perm does not stand for permanent much like phd.
58:23I guess there's not a doctorate. I don't know These bonds will not reform and will restrain your hair over They will
58:29not reform and restrain your hair over time However, people long hair the curls will just loosen over time three to six
58:35months due to gravity Which makes it seem like the pro perm is wearing off and then for people with shorter hair
58:41Your hair just grows fast enough that you eventually just need the curled parts cut So the perm really only lasts for
58:47one to three months of short hair So what does perm stand for?
58:51I don't know Didn't say That was the only thing we wanted to know He told us it didn't stand for permanent
58:57but didn't tell us what it's I guess that is the only thing we technically asked for interesting what does perm stand
59:03for you guys ever seen the movie shampoo? D.K.
59:06No, uh, very long time ago. I feel like and baby.
59:09Yeah, that's good Should we just not look it up what perm stands for and see if someone else will tell us?
59:15Uh, yeah, yeah someone else or ethan follow someone tell us what the perm is if it's not permanent It's like permanent
59:21press like a laundry setting But he said doesn't say I mean wikipedia wikipedia says permanent weight.
59:26What else does perm mean? That's the only one Wikipedia we got we gotta take it up with wikipedia.
59:31They're not right phd No, okay, he earned it all right Also, that was a good explanation Okay, other than the perm
59:37thing, right The only last thing I wanted to ask you guys was just this kawaii thing happened and we didn't talk
59:43about it yet And I just kind of just read you one tweet.
59:47I don't even know if you guys give a shit and we'll cut this.
59:51I don't know Sure, sure sure. So dan wetzel posted just What i've i've been waiting for this all at all the
59:57cost obviously quiet letter had all these things the cost to acquire quiet lettered net Everything it costs to cook like the
60:03trade the punishments everything here's what quiet leonard has cost the clippers The 2021 first round pick their 2022 first round pick
60:09their 2023 first round pick a swap of a 2023 first round pick a 2024 first round pick 2025 first round pick
60:15swap 2026 i'm just gonna keep going a first round pick in 2029 first round pick in 2030 first round pick in
60:212031 a first and pick in 2032 And a first-run pick in 2033 in addition, they also lost shea gilgis alexander who
60:27literally won the MVP twice and an NBA championship as the best player on the team.
60:32Danilo Gallinari, $30 million in cash, got people, the ownership, suspended for a year.
60:36And then during that time, Kawhi Leonard missed on average 30 games a season.
60:39So that's bad. I think Zach Rowe called it like the biggest calamity in NBA history.
60:44Calamity. Or something. Why I brought it up, I was like, minus all the like Deshaun Watson crimes, I'm like, I think
60:50the worst trade in NFL history is the Deshaun Watson trade and then I think Kawhi is the worst one in NBA
60:56history and they happened like two and a half years apart.
60:59God, this is wild. Ten first round picks and two first round pick swaps.
61:03They lost. And they lost an MVP. They lost almost two decades.
61:06So they gave up like five to get him?
61:09Yeah. Yeah, four or five to get him and then they had to give up five with this change.
61:14Jesus. That's wild. He'll D you up though. When he's healthy, he's kind of like unlike anyone else.
61:19Yeah. You know? All right. Long trip. I know.
61:22That's it. That's it. Los Angeles, baby. I know.
61:24We did it. We did a lot of, this was the most recordings we've ever done in two weeks.
61:29We did a live show. We did a live draft on Netflix.
61:33Right. We did Bill's show. We did Recipe Club.
61:35Yep. We did the rewatchables. We did the rewatchables.
61:38Yeah. Wow. We've been freaking all over the place.
61:40Yeah. And we're in these new Hollywood office which is great.
61:43Sycamore. Sweet. Sweet. Yeah. Four episodes a week. We're going to have Sunday recaps.
61:47We're going to have Monday waivers trivia and we're also going to like help you with waivers figure out who to add
61:53so it's like you're like I'm not adding Caleb Johnson in the week too.
61:57We'll be like add that guy. We're going to tell you who to add.
62:01Yep. Because you're not done with the draft. Like you know if you win you usually end up make a bunch of waiver picks throughout the year.
62:09We'll help you with those trade advice, power hours, all that stuff.
62:12Recapping the season, Friday season, weekly previews, everything. And then we'll cover like the beginning of the week.
62:17It's weird this year. It starts on Wednesday. So Seahawks Patriots is Wednesday night.
62:21We'll have a preview for week one. Rams, Rams, Australia baby.
62:24Thursday. So we're going to recap all that stuff.
62:26So thank you to everyone who's been listening to this preseason.
62:29We have Take Purge coming Monday. Take Purge on Monday, baby.
62:32That's maybe the most fun thing we do all year is to Take Purge.
62:36It was great. We recorded it today and it was spicy.
62:39It was fun. Yeah. Thank you to take a Pepsi.
62:42That's how spicy it was. So thank you to everyone.
62:45Thank you to Nikhil. Thank you to Cam. Thank you to Austin.
62:48Thank you to everyone who's been helping us all week, honestly.
62:51Yeah. Like just the amount of people here at Sycamore.
62:54I mean, I can't even name everyone. Putting down the sets and setting up the sets and getting everything prepped for all
63:00the shows, doing the recordings, doing the audio, doing all the lighting.
63:04It's a full team effort and we're appreciative to everybody who helped us.
63:07Yeah. It's really, really awesome to come here. So thank you to everybody.
63:11But of course. There's only, I mean, the person who is the most responsible for the last two weeks as always.
63:17Thank you, Lorne! Lorne! SNL coming back soon. Oh.
63:19Season 52? Have they announced who's like the lineup first month or whatever?
63:23No, they haven't. What do you think? Oh, you're talking about the hosts?
63:26Yeah. I don't think they've done that. I think there's gonna be a lot of first-time people.
63:31Like I think the girl from Obsession, Indie Navarrete, is probably gonna host.
63:35I'm trying to think about their first-time people who have kind of popped up.
63:39The real question is if Tom Cruise will host.
63:41He's never done it and he has a huge movie coming out this year called Digger and he's doing a lot of press.
63:47Tom Cruise on SNL will be awesome. Oh my gosh.
63:50That would be incredible. Why has he never done it?
63:53Just doesn't like the live? Oh, interesting. You know what I mean?
63:56Less is more. Kind of. I mean, Leo doesn't do TV.
63:59It's like Tom Cruise. It's like you see me in a movie theater, that's it.
64:04Yeah. It's kind of a vibe. Wait, you didn't do a band?
64:07Oh yeah. I couldn't think of one. 80s, yeah.
64:09I don't know. I got nothing. Sorry, I don't know.
64:12No, that's it. No, I couldn't think of one.
64:15All right. Yeah. No, I was looking and I just kind of couldn't.
64:18Goodbye everyone. no, we're absolutely doing one. 80s month, one of my favorite 80s songs that sounds incredibly 80s.
64:24Oh. Bonnie Tyler. Ooh. Total Eclipse of the Heart.
64:26Oh yeah. Ripper of a song. That was not what I was expecting.
64:30Holy shit. How does it go? Total Eclipse of the Heart.
64:33I really need you tonight. Forever. Keep going. Once upon a time.
64:36Forever's gonna start tonight. Is that how it goes?
64:39Yeah, You know, he goes, every now and then I get a little bit lonely.
64:43Yeah, it's amazing. Turn around, bright eyes. Every now and then I turn apart.
64:47And I need you more tonight. Bang. I fucking need you more.
64:50Yeah, I did it. Yeah. I fucking need you more.
64:53Will Ferrell's like, did he just say fuck? Such a good 80s song.
64:56Oh man. Total Eclipse of the Heart was not what I was expecting.
65:00That was way out of the last year. I'm keeping you guessing.
65:031983. Yeah. Good year. 80s were different. Bonnie Tyler.
65:06Yeah. Look at that hair. Put some fuckers. Look at that hair on Bonnie.
65:10That's a perm. I think. Yeah, I think so.
65:12Well, maybe not. I don't know. Oh, she died a month ago.
65:15Oh, damn. What? R.I.P. Wow. R.I.P. Dang. She was from, she's Welsh.
65:19Didn't know that either. R.I.P. R.I.P. Man. We're losing legends.
65:22We're losing recipes. Well, Total Eclipse of the Heart throw it on.
65:25I like the name Bonnie. I think the name Bonnie's cute.
65:28Is Bonnie short for something? Or is that the full name?
65:31Bonita, I believe. Bonita. Good call. Yeah. Is that right?
65:34Yeah. Bonnie. Yeah. It's funny. My late grandmother's name was Bonnie, but like, I called her grandma.
65:38Obviously. And I knew her name was Bonnie, but like, I don't know when I'm nine, you know.
65:43Right. You don't think about it. It was not until like recently where I was like, what is my grandma's name?
65:49What does Bonnie actually stand for? Or short for it?
65:52And Bonita. You don't have to grow up a little bit till you'd be like, so my grandmother, she was like, she had like a life.
65:59She like had a whole thing. Her name's not just, just grandma, huh?
66:03Yeah. Interesting. I guess it's kind of made cookies and washed me sometimes.
