Adam Randall

PositiveSleeper41:27

Randall is a project running back for the Ravens going as RB53 with an FFPC main event ADP of 226.6, below Justice Hill despite the source believing Justice Hill is not the true backup; Randall has legitimate upside because Derek Henry is signed through 2027 but the Ravens may not extend him given the need to pay Lamar Jackson, leaving Randall with a true runway; he's 6'2", 230 pounds with an unofficial 4.5 40-time—speed that's more than enough to break away on big plays and create separation with Lamar Jackson's help; Justice Hill is a fine change-of-pace back but not a true handcuff; Randall can catch passes (he played WR at Clemson until October of last year), offering legitimate upside; his size and speed are rare for a WR-to-RB convert; pass protection will be key but comes down to willingness more than ability, and Lamar Jackson's play-action heavy offense and offensive line improvements will help; Randall showed improvement on tape every week after converting mid-season; at round 19 in startups (low-end pick even in single-QB leagues), he's going after Caleb Johnson and around Torrey Horton, Pat Freiermuth, and Elijah Arroyo—none of whom have the upside of a 6'2", 230-pound Ravens RB with speed and pass-catching prowess; the source can't remember the last time the Ravens had another RB of that size with that speed and pass-catching ability outside of Derrick Henry.

Antonio Williams

PositiveSleeper31:07

Williams is a third-round rookie wide receiver pick for Washington going as WR63 in single-QB formats and pick 151 in FFPC main event; the source loves the fit despite it being a bit more vibes-based than preferred; he has a clear pathway to production given the thin WR competition (Van Jefferson, Traylon Burks, Deami Brown, Jalen Lane are not impressive) and the fact that outside of Terry McLaurin (who gets 10+ targets per game), someone has to catch passes; new play caller David Blau brings a lot of play-action and under-center work with Jaden Daniels, creating room for underneath and deep work; Williams stands out because he's one of the few rookie WRs not in a double-up landing spot; if he hits 8.5-10 points per game, he could easily become a year-two breakout favorite and see himself jump from 14th-round ADP to the 10th round.

Brenton Strange

PositiveSleeper28:00

Strange was a superior blocker to Evan Ingram from day one, and when the team moved on from Ingram, Strange became the guy for the rest of his rookie contract and is now a rock-solid top-12 tight end, demonstrating the pathway for young tight ends to gain value.

Elijah Sarratt

PositiveSleeper29:01

Surratt is a rookie wide receiver sleeper going as WR63 in startups with an elite analytics profile: 2.6 yards per team pass attempt in his first season at Indiana was the third-best mark of any receiver in the class before age 22 (only Jordan Tyson and Makai Lemon had better seasons); in his second season he averaged more receiving yards per game than Omar Cooper (a round-one pick); last year he ranked behind only Jeremiah Smith in first downs per route run among all Power Conference receivers; he fell to round four of the NFL draft but landed in the perfect spot with the Ravens, who want to utilize him as a big slot and he's been shining in summer practices catching downfield bombs from Lamar Jackson; he has a legitimate opportunity to carve out playing time by October-November given the thin Ravens WR depth chart behind Zay Flowers and the vulnerability of Rashad Bateman.

Insight page

Julian Hill

PositiveSleeper26:06

Hill is a tight end sleeper so far down the board he's barely tracked; he was slated as the Patriots' primary blocking tight end but has underrated receiving upside from his final college season at Notre Dame where he posted 2.23 yards per route run and one of the higher ADOTs with a high rate of 15+ yard receptions, though his stats were depressed by heavy blocking usage that won't carry over to the NFL; if the Patriots move on from Hunter Henry, Hill becomes a true every-down guy with route-based upside rare among young tight ends.

Tanner Koziol

PositiveSleeper37:25

Koziel is a day-three tight end pick by the Jaguars who has no dynasty ADP and is one of the most productive tight ends in FBS over the past couple of seasons; he has two of the top seven tight end seasons by reception share since 2017, alongside Harold Fannin, Trey McBride (twice), Tyler Warren, Michael Mayer, and Sam Laporta; over the past two seasons he has the most receptions in FBS (five more than Jeremiah Smith); reception share is a highly predictive metric for college-to-pro tight end success; the source believes GM James Gladstone wants to follow NFL trends toward multiple tight end sets (which he cited as reason for drafting Koziel and Nate Berkertcher), while coach Liam Cohn is historically 11-personnel heavy; Koziel fits better into what the Jaguars want to do (spreading the field with multiple pass catchers) than Berkertcher (pure blocker with no college season over 200 receiving yards); if Koziel gets on the field for a handful of games as the second tight end in 12-personnel sets next to Brenton Strange, his elite target-earning profile could translate to NFL production; available at free cost and the source has him on all his taxi squads.

0:0012 Dynasty Fantasy Football Sleepers 6 Veterans, 6 Rookies, Scratching that Sleeper Itch you guys have been asking for We're gonna dive
0:08right into it and not waste any time. This is Dynasty Points and it starts right now With there being such little
0:17news moving us along in Dynasty Fantasy Football right now It is a great time to take a look at Dynasty Fantasy
0:25Football Sleeper players we think are going to not only beat their ADP Be able to produce, extend their trade value or
0:33gain even more trade value if they hit and you want out We're not just focusing on rookies today.
0:41Each one of us has multiple veterans, multiple rookies We're giving you everything you need to attack your startup drafts, your trade
0:49structures and prepare you for the next wave of Dynasty information about to hit.
0:54I don't want to waste a lot of time.
0:58I want to dive right into it. So Jacob, as you are again recording while traveling because you are an animal, who do you have first?
1:08I want to start with your veteran. Who do you have?
1:12All right. I'll give probably my number one guy of the offseason.
1:16It's become kind of a bit this year. I'm just leaning into it.
1:21Mr. Rashad White And the nice thing is, as cheap as he is in best ball and seasonal, which is where I've
1:30been hawking him on all sorts of platforms across my sub stack in the podcast airwaves He's even cheaper to acquire in
1:38Dynasty And here's my case for Rashad White Simply put, I expect this to be a more valuable backfield than it is
1:46currently priced as by the market We have seen Journeyman veterans Nearly washed Austin Echlers Soon to be traded Brian Robinsons And
1:55seventh round rookies All post Average to strongly above average efficiency metrics whenever they are running beside Jaden Daniels He has proven
2:03in about a year and a half of games to be an efficiency turbo boost for any running back who lines up
2:11alongside him And I don't think that that would not apply to Rashad White Additionally, Rashad White strikes me as the Highest
2:20floor and highest ceiling option in this fairly ambiguous backfield Highest floor because he is the one guy that I am extremely
2:28confident in saying is actually a top 10 option at the position in some facet of playing running back He is a
2:36legitimately value-adding pass protector One of the better pass protecting running backs in the NFL And also has legit juice as a
2:45route runner in the screen game in this receiving game generally So even though there are other guys in this backfield I
2:53just think on pure merit Anywhere Rashad White goes he's gonna lock down Third and tens Two minute drill Comeback mode because
3:01he's legitimately very good at it I also say highest ceiling and that takes into account obviously the rushing workload I've dogged
3:10Rashad White as a rusher for years now I don't think he is particularly efficient or effective as a All-around rushing option
3:18for an NFL team That's why he lost his job to Bucky Irving over the last couple of years That being said
3:26Bucky Irving in 2024 at least was one of the most efficient running backs in the NFL He is a far superior
3:35player in my view to anyone on the Washington Commanders backfield Ja'Kory Krosky-Meritt is explosive Certainly more explosive than Rashad White I
3:43think all in all a better runner than Rashad White But he actually was lower in success rate both gap and zone
3:51than Rashad White was And Rashad White was top 15 in the NFL last year and missed tackles forced If we're purely
4:00looking at goal line short yardage type skills I think it's kind of a toss-up between those two And the obvious answer
4:08as to who has the best goal line profile in the backfield Probably Katron, Fatman, Allen But this is still a round
4:17six pick I don't think you can just assume that a round six pick is anything in his rookie year in the
4:25NFL Including even active on game days So I could see a scenario where Yes, Rashad White is not lighting the world
4:33on fire as a runner But if they don't fully trust JCM If they don't fully trust Katron They might just look
4:42at White and say Hey, at the very least We can run our entire playbook anytime you're out there Because you're the
4:50guy that helps on pass protection That helps in the receiving game You're not tipping any plays And you can be efficient
4:58enough in a really favorable environment next to Jaden Daniels Where we're just going to make you the guy over the course
5:07of the season And he winds up getting 70% snap rates And being an every single week RB2 And even borderline RB1
5:15Which is what he was in the 2023 season The last time he was able to establish a full-time job So I
5:23think Rashad White, at worst He's going to be a dirt cheap flex play for you in Dynasty And at best, he
5:32can potentially be an RB2 That you might be able to get for nearly round 3 pick level value Currently going in
5:40the 13th rounds of startups Yeah, you're talking 13 plus points per game Even considered a down year like you were talking
5:48about Great pick, I love it Let's go to you, Ryan Who do you have?
5:54Yeah, I'm going to take a year or two wide receiver That is kind of flying under the radar I can understand
6:02why Based on the not amazing overall production from his rookie season But I think when you zoom out Look at the
6:11totality of his prospect profile At the totality of his rookie season I think this guy's being a little bit underrated and
6:19forgotten I'm talking about Jaden Higgins He's just kind of gone under the radar Just to rewind back to when he was
6:27coming into the league My model had him as a very strong wide receiver prospect He ranked 92nd percentile in my model
6:36That's a mixture of draft capital and college production That would put him, just to compare to some late first Early second
6:44round wide receivers of the past several years That puts him ahead of T.
6:49Higgins Ahead of Calvin Ridley Ahead of DJ Moore Casey Concepcion Zay Flowers He was really strong in terms of especially per
6:58route production At Iowa State And that was despite competing with Jalen Noel Who is still his teammate Was at Iowa State?
7:06Iowa State still is now Yeah, despite having that target competition Of another day two pick Was still really strong, really productive
7:14The Texans took the most boomer approach possible To their wide receivers with their rookies last year Xavier Hutchinson was playing a
7:23full-time role for much of the season Kind of preventing Jaden Higgins From getting onto the field for a lot of it
7:31But when he did get on the field His target earning was actually pretty decent Compared, especially in the context of Having Nico Collins across from him, right?
7:4220% target per outrun as a rookie That is better than rookie seasons From recent guys like Jordan Addison Roma Dunze Nico
7:50Collins himself George Pickens While it was not like popping off the spreadsheet in any way This is totally within the range
7:58of a productive NFL player That is going to continue to have a full-time role in the NFL And can put up fantasy points, right?
8:08And then, of course, like the biggest reason to buy in Or to kind of be excited at his very low cost
8:16Is, yeah, year two, year three Is when we see receivers tend to pop off They tend to break out I've done
8:25a bunch of age curves research on this I've written multiple articles over multiple seasons But yeah, year two and year three
8:33Is when we see these wide receiver breakouts And I wouldn't be at all surprised If Jaden Higgins took a big step
8:41forward this year He's going outside of the top 110 picks right now He is the wide receiver 39 by Dynasty Startup
8:50ADP This is like Once we get past Higgins and past some of those guys That's where I just start to lose
8:58interest In the young, like, value upside bets Higgins is one of the last ones that I genuinely think Could pop in
9:06a big way in year two So he's just, yeah, kind of someone that has gone under-discussed That I wanted to bring
9:15a little bit of light to this offseason For my first veteran I have a bit of a gross Completely vibe-based opinion
9:23And I don't really even have a lot to back this up But hear me out Jalen Naylor is a veteran wide
9:31receiver In a wide receiver room full of Well, from what we've seen so far Mostly bums We don't know who's going
9:40to be the big breakout All I know is that Naylor was the guy that was brought in And we know that
9:48he is a speedy type Wide receiver And he's cheap And that's what we're looking for here at the sleeper Wide receiver
9:5675 He's the 189th pick We saw Naylor have some big games in a Well, let's just call it not so great
10:05environment last year Probably the only wide receiver that really had a big game On the minnesota vikings last year when we saw them struggle with J.J.
10:15McCarthy And It just wasn't pretty But Naylor Shined a little bit Now i'm one to believe that with kubiak coming in
10:23The play action Everything that they can do for wide receivers on the outside And on the inside even if brock bowers
10:32is playing quite a few snaps In the slot I think if you want to take a bet on who is going
10:40to lead the raiders wide receiver room in targets I'm inclined to believe that it's Naylor If you want to go cheaper
10:48I think trey tucker is a fine option as well But I just think that a veteran That has run routes in
10:57the league Been explosive in the league before Can give you what you're looking for Out of a sleeper Someone that can
11:05beat Their adp If you get four or five games of ten or more fantasy points out of Naylor being drafted where
11:14he is I think that's a smash If you get two Three games maybe Of fifteen or more I think it is
11:22More than a home run hit I like Naylor as this very late Very gross No one really wants to talk about
11:30it Type pick And No I'm I thought about it I'm not gonna go Well, he's gonna be the JSN of that
11:39offense I don't think that's true And I think if that's your expectations You're gonna be let down I think that's Brock
11:47Bowers But that doesn't mean that Naylor can't be a viable piece And an offense expected to take a massive step forward
11:55And he doesn't hurt you at all Going around players like Caleb Johnson Lane You've got Njoku and Trey Benson and Kate
12:04Otten There's no downside play to Naylor And that's why he's my first veteran here in this sleeper episode I think he
12:12smashes this adp So I really like where your head is at Tom But I just prefer the other Raiders wide receiver
12:20For kind of a similar thesis in terms of Who's going to get the deep play action shots That are a big
12:29feature of the Clint Kubiak offense To me, I think Trey Tucker is more likely to benefit We look at Trey Tucker
12:37last year When the Raiders used play action First read target share goes from 16% Up to nearly 29% on those play
12:45action plays Air yard share goes from 24% up to 40% When they use play action So we already have a proof
12:54of concept For Tucker to kind of be the one Running these downfield routes Taking these shots on play action And then
13:02we look at what Clint Kubiak himself Has said this summer And from what I've seen It's pretty much all about Trey
13:10Tucker In terms of who he sees standing out Among the wide receiver room Tucker was the first name that he mentioned
13:19When asked back in June Also when he was asked about veterans in general What came out of Kubiak's mouth was Yeah,
13:27we have some great veterans It's Max Crosby, Colton Miller, Kirk Cousins And Trey Tucker are the biggest veterans That have stood
13:35out Trey Tucker is like the clown The clown in the line of soldiers meme right there Yeah, with your pro bowlers
13:44Your week one starting QB and Trey Tucker But I think that speaks to how he's viewed right now By the team
13:52Jalen Naylor, yeah He's run a bunch of routes as you said But never crossed 30 receptions in a single season Tucker
14:00has actually progressed in terms of his production Every single year he's been in the league I prefer him as just the
14:09same type of bet that you're making But I hear you and I appreciate you Kind of bringing up this angle Tom
14:17likes Naylor Ryan likes Tucker I barely even draft her Jacob, who do you have for your next veteran?
14:24I'm just going to stay right in Washington With Chagosium Okonkwo And this to me is like not really a talent-based bet
14:33He flashed with a really incredible 2.62 yards per route run as a rookie Since then he's settled in between 1.25 and
14:411.33 To me this is just your classic case of Situation elevating one of these bang average tight ends Into a tight
14:49end 1 finish In a given year when the stars align And there's a pretty significant history of this happening And frequently
14:58in situations like this Where it's a player in the middle of their career Moving teams, new play caller, new situation This
15:06is the old Andrew Cooper logic To have that upside To be a top half tight end 1 You want to be
15:14one of the top two tight ends Or top two pass catchers on your team And Chagosium Okonkwo on Washington Has a
15:23chance to be that Part of the reason I'm so in on Rashad White's Receiving upside this year Is you look at
15:31what's going on with the commanders right now It's Terry McLaurin Who obviously is a legit wide receiver 1 But he's also
15:40older and has some injury issues In the last year And beyond that it is so bleak I think they assumed it
15:48would be Brandon Ayuk He is posting himself out of the NFL As we speak Maybe they wind up signing Stefan Diggs
15:56And he locks down that number 2 role But maybe they don't And maybe the rest of their wide receiver room this
16:05year Is legitimately round 3 rookie Antonio Williams And Traylon Burks And Van Jefferson And Deami Brown And if that's the case
16:13Then Chagosium Okonkwo is going to have a ton of opportunities To have targets over the intermediate areas of the field He
16:21is also a guy who's typically been held back by route volume He's a little undersized He's a little bit more of
16:30a tweener I view him similarly to how I viewed Jawan Johnson last year Where yes in a perfect world He's not
16:38really an every down tight end But in the context of that Saints offense They didn't have any other particularly intriguing tight
16:46ends on the roster And they desperately needed a secondary pass catcher And so they were willing to play him in every
16:55single situation And I think Washington might do the same with Chagosium Okonkwo The other tight ends on this team We're talking
17:03about Ben Sinnott And John Bates And these are just guys that I don't think are giving you anything In the receiving
17:11game A career high percentage of routes Both in the slot in 12 personnel sets And from inline in 11 personnel sets
17:20I think he's a guy that could easily slot Into the flex position every week In tight end premium leagues Who you
17:28could get very cheaply And could be a top 10 tight end To me quite conceivably He's a target for me in
17:36all formats this year Yeah for my next guy I'm going to go I'd argue even a little bit more gross Than
17:45Chagos Okonkwo But we are always in Dynasty Looking for these cheap running backs That we can plug and play And get
17:53production from in our RB2 slots Without having to hold a depreciating asset So you go extremely cheap And I think maybe
18:01my second favorite guy For that role After Rashad White this year Is going to be Kenneth Gainwell So over here in
18:10Tampa Bay We've got Zach Robinson coming in As the new offensive coordinator And there's a few things that Make me a
18:18little bit suspicious Of Bucky Irving As the clear lead back on this team Right?
18:24First of all Gainwell Completely overtook Jalen Warren As the incumbent On that Steelers team Last year Right?
18:31So it's not as if Gainwell Has never kind of made A backfield his own Over the course of a season There's
18:39at least some precedent Also Just looking at What Zach Robinson Has said About his running backs This offseason It has very
18:47much Been Like yeah We're gonna go with the hot hand Is what he kind of Keeps saying The full quote is
18:56One guy might get This amount one week And the next week They may end up balanced Just kind of feeling The
19:04hot hand We'll see where it goes That doesn't sound to me Like bell cow Bucky Irving Whatsoever And That would kind
19:12of Make some sense If we look at The history of Zach Robinson's scheme That's here on screen Now Of course Keep
19:21in mind That Robinson ran A ton of outside zone With B.
19:25John Robinson The most in the NFL By far Right So I don't know That he'll be This extreme But Zone running
19:34Zone running scheme Is kind of a tenet Of the McShanahan coaching tree I would imagine There's some of it here And
19:42Yeah Just stacking up Bucky Irving Sean Tucker And Kenny Gainwell In terms of Career yards per carry On these zone Run
19:50concepts Irving is not Clearly better Than these Than any of these Other running backs All of them Under four yards Per
19:59carry So It's also possible That the backfield Just is not efficient In general If this is a direction Robinson wants to
20:07go But I don't think It's necessarily true That Irving being So efficient In his rookie season Is going to be Predictive
20:15of Well he's going to Win the most work In this backfield This year I don't think It's quite as simple For
20:24that A to B And then The other Like big point In this backfield Is The target Shares Right We saw Bucky
20:32Irving Most of the Receiving work That he's gotten In his career Has been On early downs On design targets Liam Cohn
20:40Was one of the Kings of That It really boosted Irving In his rookie Season Robinson Gainwell Also Himself Had 19 screen
20:49Targets Last year Compared to Just nine For Jalen Warren Also has A history Of Commanding This Designed Target Work Robinson Gave
20:57Bijan Robinson The most Screen Targets Of any Running Back in The League Last year It's just Really Ambiguous To me Where
21:05the Work is Going to Go in This Back Field The more I talk About it And the More I Think about
21:14It And yeah With the Massive gap In ADP Between Bucky Irving Between Kenny Gainwell In all Formats Gainwell Right now Just
21:22the RB37 By Dynasty Startup ADP I think It's worth A stab That you Could select Gainwell And we Turn over Into
21:31week One And this Is either Very close To a 50-50 Committee Or It's A 50-50 Committee But with Gainwell Getting the
21:39High value Work Getting All of The Targets The Receiving Work Possibly Even The Goal Line Work Bucky Irving Had Zero Carries
21:47Inside The Five Yard Line All Of Last Year So There's Just a Lot Of Pads To This Kind Of Breaking Gainwell
21:56Way I Don't Have Any Particular Belief In Him As A Player I Don't Think He's A Particularly Amazing Running Back But
22:04We Buy Situations We Buy Uncertainty Here And Gainwell Is A Really Strong Opportunity For That Another 10 Plus Point Per Game
22:12Running Back Which We Talk About A Lot It's The Fat Gross Not Shiny Not Super Sexy Type Running Back That You
22:21Need In The Dog Days Of The NFL Season When You Have Bi-weeks And Injuries And These Two Guys Are Stone Cold
22:2910 Point Plus Type Players The Player That I Have Though I Kind Of Pulled Orion Here I Picked A Year Two
22:37Player As One Of My Veterans But I Just Feel Like He's A Player That Not Even His Coaches Are Talking That
22:46Much About That Not Even Their Coaches Are Talking About It Means It Buries Them In ADP A Little Bit RB 48
22:54He's Pick 165 And It's Kind Of Reflected In His Redraft Price As Well Being The 128.5 In ADP In The FFPC
23:02Main Event Right Now Judkins Showed That Yes He In The Data Suite Era That Is Exceptional However You Need An Injury
23:11I Feel Like For Him To Really Reach This Potential But Just So Happens That Judkins Is Coming Off Of A Fairly
23:19Significant Injury Himself And Why That Matters Well The Theoritic And The James White Roles Just Doesn't Seem To Be As Prevalent
23:27In Today's League Especially With A Type Running Backs In His History As A Play Caller And I'm Saying A Lot Of
23:36Negative Things Here How Could He Be A Sleeper Well That's Kind of What Makes Him A Sleeper To Me See The
23:44Price On Judkins And Samson To Me Are Just Too Good To Pass Up But We're Talking About A Sleeper Both These
23:52Backs Are Explosive Samson Just Has Significant More Juice In My Opinion And Though Samson Only Had Four More Targets Overall Than
24:01Judkins One Fewer Game Eight Of Them Coming In Week One When Judkins Wasn't Even Playing That's The Upside Case To Me
24:09If Judkins Misses Any Significant Time I Think Samson Is Good Enough To Take On A Pure Lead Role In The Cleveland
24:17Browns Offense And That Does Make Him A Very Viable Handcuff With Some Really solo Upside In And Of Itself Especially Like
24:26I Said In The Weeks We're Starting Anybody We Year He's Just Not And Yes For Good Reason But That Doesn't Mean
24:34The Opportunity Isn't There If He Plays Well If He Shows Out His Dynasty Value Is Going To Increase Expectations Are Going
24:43To Increase I Can Definitely See Anywhere From Seven To Twelve Points Per Game For Him Depending On How Injuries Play Out
24:51If The Cleveland Offense Can Get Any Better At All Might Be Tough With The Quarterbacks To Have Out There But If
24:59And I Mean If That's The Point Of A Sleeper If Munkin Can Not Force Him Into A Justice Hill Type Rule
25:08Where Seem To Be Players Always Wanted A Little Bit More Out Of That Rule If Judkins Gets Hurt If He Can
25:16Take A Little Bit Of The Jerome Ford Rule And Take The Value Going Into Year Three There's A Lot Here That
25:24Can Play Out I Like Him As A Pure Upside Case And We're Talking Again The 14th Round Chris Rodriguez You Know
25:33Foot Surgery Etc Brandon I You Get His Posting On The Internet These Are The Players Aaron Jones Being An Aging Type
25:41Player Taj Spears Never Really Putting It All Together Bray And Allen Being Stuck Behind Trey Harris Who Knows These Are The
25:49Players Going After So I'm More Than Willing To Take A Shot On Samson I Think He's In The Perfect Pocket I'm
25:58Even Willing To Take Him A Little Bit Ahead If Take A Shot At Samson Even Though I Am Very Much In
26:06On Judkins I Think Samson Can Be The Guy Should Anything Happen That's Six Veterans That We Gave You That We Feel
26:14Are Sleepers That Can Really Excel Given The Opportunity Not Only For Production But To Gain Value That Helps You As A
26:23Rebuilder And A Contender Let's Move On To Rookie Sleepers And This Is Not Something We Talked A Lot About This Off
26:31Season We Spent A Lot Of Time Dogging This Draft Class All Through The Draft Process But That Doesn't Mean There's A
26:39Few Sneaky Picks Out There That We Can Utilize As A Sleeper So Jacob I'm Going To Toss It To You Since
26:48The NFL Draft Is That Julian Hill Is Now On IR For The Year Who's A Name That Is So Far Down
26:56The Sleeper Board That I Don't Even Know If Tom Has Him In His Database Here As He's Fumbling Through But Julian
27:04Hill Was Probably Slated To Start The Year As The Patriots Primary Blocking Tight end It's Quite Possible That This Underrated Profile
27:13Coming To The NFL Draft Because He Had Two ACL Tears In College And For The First Time Really Had A Chance
27:21To Spread His Wings In His Final College Season In That Season He Had 2.23 Yards Per Outrun Had One Of The
27:29Higher A Dots And A Really High Rate Of 15 Plus Yard Receptions In That Who Also Happened To Be A Guy
27:38Was Consistently Relied Upon To Play On The Line Of Scrimmage As A Real Blocker At Notre Dame To The Point That
27:46His Stats Are Depressed By The Amount Of Times He Was Kept Into Pass Block In A Way That I Don't Think
27:55Is Going To Carry Over In A Bad Way To The NFL Other Than That He'll Be Able To Have The Type
28:03Of Rout Based Upside That We Don't See From A Lot Of Young Tight Ends Because Of Blocking Limitations My They Might
28:11Be Able To Move On From Hunter Henry And He Becomes A True Every Down Guy I Think If You're Looking For
28:20An Upside Case Breton Strange Is One That Comes To Mind I Think He's Even A Little Bit More Dynamic Than Strange
28:28But Similarly He Was A Player Who Came In Next To Evan Ingram Was Already A Superior Blocker Than Him Pretty Much
28:36From Day One And Then Eventually The Team Moves On From Ingram They Make Strange The Guy Going Into The Rest Of
28:45His Rookie Contract And Now He's A Rock Solid Top 12 Tight End So I'm Really Big On Rarinen Can Continue To
28:53Be Got Almost For Free At Least Yeah So My Rookie Sleeper The First One I Want To Talk About Is A
29:01Guy I Never Shut Up About Throughout The Draft Process It's Elijah Surratt Baby Right Now Going Is Just The Wide Receiver
29:1063 Off The Board In Startups I Just Fell In Love With His Analytics Profile 2.6 Yards Per Team Pass Attempt In
29:18His First Season At Indiana Was The Third Best Mark Of Any Receiver In This Class Before Age 22 Only Jordan Tyson
29:26And Makai Lemon Obviously First Round Picks Had A Better Season Than Surratt Did In That Stat Then In His Second Season
29:35At Indiana He Averaged More Receiving Yards Per Game Than Omar Cooper Who Also Obviously Went In Round One And Last Year
29:43He Ranked Behind Only Jeremiah Smith In First Downs Per Out Run Among All Power Conference Wide Receivers This Was Just A
29:51Highly Productive Receiver For Indiana Surratt Yes Falls To Round Four Of The NFL Draft But It Sounds Like He Went To
30:00The Perfect Spot For His Skill Set The Ravens Want To Utilize Him As A Big Slot It Sounds Like He's Been
30:08Shining In All Of These Summer Practices Catching All Of These Downfield Bombs From Lamar Jackson So I'm Pretty Excited About Surratt
30:16I Think He Has A Legit Opportunity To Carve Out Playing Time By The Time We Get To October November It's A
30:25Really Thin Ravens Wide Receiver Depth Chart Behind Zay Flowers Rashad Bateman Is Like A Totally Vulnerable Veteran To Me That Could
30:33Absolutely Lose Routes Lose Of Course It's A Day Three Pick It's A Day Three Wide Receiver These Guys Do Not Work
30:41Out Very Often But This In My Estimation Is One Of The Better Analytics Profiles That We've Seen From A Day Three
30:50Wide Receiver Recently And Yeah I'm Just A Big Believer In Him In The The We'll See What Happens But I Love The pick.
30:59He's so cheap, like you said. It really can hurt.
31:03Jacob, you mentioned earlier that you had a favorite sleeper.
31:07Oh, a couple, and they were in Washington. Well, I do too.
31:11Antonio Williams of Washington, that third round pick that you mentioned.
31:15Wide receiver, 63 in single quarterback formats. Pick 151 in FFPC main event.
31:20The price could get nuked a little bit here, as you mentioned with Stefan Diggs, but I'm still willing to take my shot.
31:29Now, this could end up, like I said, being less exciting, but remember, I also like Luke McCaffrey, so maybe I'm just
31:37a sucker for commander sleeper wide receivers, but the competition, Van Jefferson, Traylon Burks, Deami Brown, Jalen Lane does not really strike me as, well, very impressive.
31:48That means there is a pathway that may not come early because rookies tend to need some time, but we want to
31:56see the second half kind of breakout opportunities, and outside of Terry McLaurin, who, the way it sounds, is getting 10 plus
32:04targets a game, well, they're going to have to throw to somebody, and I don't really believe in Chigakonkwo like Jacob does.
32:13It's just not for me, and you get a new play caller.
32:17David Blau coming in is going to call some plays, a lot of play action, getting Jaden Daniels under center, leaving a
32:25lot of room for some underneath work, a little bit of deep work as well, and I think Antonio Williams has the
32:34real opportunity as one of the few wide receivers drafted that didn't end up in a double up landing spot.
32:41This is something we talked about a lot with a lot of the other rookie wide receivers that we were all so
32:50hopeful, including Surratt, like Ryan, you were talking about, the two players in Cleveland, the two players in Philly, the two players with the Jets.
32:59Antonio Williams stands out to me because there is such a good pathway.
33:04You look at somebody like Jeremy Bernard, who has multiple, I would say, mid to high-end veterans, depending on how you feel
33:13about the wide receivers, over there, that the lane here really isn't that crowded.
33:18There's a pathway, and well, you know what happens with rookie wide receivers, guys?
33:23If they hit eight and a half points per game, nine points, ten points per game, and Tony Williams is going to
33:31shoot up going into year two, away from this 14th round ADP, he could easily see himself as a year two breakout favorite.
33:40I can see it already posted on all over the headlines, and you want to be ahead of that.
33:47Little bit more of a vibes base than I like, but I love the fit.
33:53We love the quarterback. We love the offense. Antonio Williams is your classic case for having a clear path for production in
34:01year one on a bounce-back offense with a new, way more innovative play caller than a play caller that, well, keeps his
34:10wide receiver one on the left side of the field and doesn't move anybody.
34:15So I'm excited to see this in the entirety of this offense.
34:20I love Antonio Williams, especially again as a dynasty sleeper, where next year, you could see him in the 10th round.
34:28All right, my rookie pick, my last rookie pick, is Brennan Thompson for the Los Angeles Chargers.
34:34This offseason, I've struggled with two conflicting thoughts in my mind, one of which is that I'm really in on Justin Herbert and the Chargers with Mike McDaniel.
34:45And the second is that I'm just not that into any of their specific skill players at their relative costs.
34:52I'm open-minded to Ladd McConkie. I'll put myself right in the center of Ryan and Graham on that front.
35:00I'm quite dubious of Quentin Johnston. I'm a little dubious of O'Mearian Hampton.
35:04And so one of the reasons is because I just think they have a massive amount of useful, but flawed skill players.
35:13And one fun way that I can bet on the Chargers at almost no cost at all for free upside is Brennan
35:21Thompson, who is the fourth round rookie that Mike McDaniel said he would take off his shirt for if they drafted him.
35:29And they did. Thompson is small and he's fast, as you would expect from anyone that is drafted by Mike McDaniel.
35:37But I think there's a little bit more substance to his profile than what we usually get from these mid-round speedsters like
35:46an Arian Smith last year, for instance, or an Anthony Schwartz way back when with the Cleveland Browns.
35:53Brennan Thompson last year actually managed to have a 2.77 yards per out run, which ranked only behind Makai Lemon, Skyler Bell,
36:01and Carnell Tate among wide receivers drafted in the first four rounds last season.
36:06And it paired that with a 23% targets per out run on an 18.4 ADOT.
36:12So that's a pretty legitimate profile of target earning way down the field.
36:17It suggests there's more on the profile than purely running in the straight line.
36:22And he was doing that against SEC defenses. So I think for this year, you know, you're not going to get a startable fantasy asset.
36:32But could I see him working in as a rotational deep threat alongside a wide receiver room that features potentially Trey Harris and QJ as starters?
36:42I totally could. And he has the kind of profile where you could get some really fun per route numbers on like 150 routes.
36:51And if the team, you know, is potentially going to move on from one of these three starters or not get much
36:59out of them, and you think they can get passed going into year two, I could see him becoming a very, very
37:07buzzy name in the context of this offense. So why not add him at the cost of totally free?
37:15It gives you an easy entry into a fun offense that a lot of people want to bet on with a lot
37:23of skill players that I think are largely unproven.
37:26So I'm in on Mr. Brennan Thompson. Yeah, my final rookie maybe won't be a surprise to frequent dynasty points listeners has
37:35been a surprise to every other show I've ever gone on and mentioned him because I guess a lot of people just haven't heard of this guy.
37:45But Tanner Koziel is going to be my final rookie sleeper.
37:49He doesn't have a dynasty ADP, at least from what I could find in Tom's database before the show.
37:56I for those unaware, the Jaguars drafted him. He is a tight end.
38:01They drafted him on day three. And Koziel was just one of the most productive tight ends in the entire FBS over the past couple of seasons.
38:12One of the most productive receivers in college football over the past couple of seasons.
38:17Just looking at since 2017, the best tight end seasons by reception share in the FBS, Tanner Koziel has two of the top seven spots.
38:27The other names on that list, Harold Fannin, two Trey McBride seasons, Tyler Warren and Michael Mayer, Sam Laporta right after Koziel.
38:35So that's really encouraging, right? Reception share has been a highly predictive metric for going from college to the pros for tight ends.
38:44Over the past two seasons, he has the most receptions in the FBS, five more than Jeremiah Smith himself.
38:51That's also incredibly encouraging. So Ryan, you say, how does he get on the field?
38:57And I should say, well, I don't have to explain that to you because this is a day three pick.
39:04We don't know how any of these guys get on the field.
39:09Stuff happens in the NFL. But my attempt at that is right now there's kind of this weird civil war brewing, at
39:17least in my head in Jacksonville, where GM James Gladstone seems to want to follow the trends of the NFL, go with more multiple tight end sets.
39:27That was part of the reason that he cited for drafting Koziel and for drafting Nate Berkertcher as well, who was a
39:36blocking tight end that they took way too early on day two.
39:40Liam Cohn, historically much more of an 11 personnel heavy type of coach, has had great success doing that building through the slot.
39:49He's been talking up his wide receivers all offseason, right?
39:53So yeah, in my head, Gladstone wants the tight ends to play.
39:57Cohn probably correctly wants the actually good wide receivers to play, but it could make some sense if Cohn is ever forced
40:06to compromise or throw Gladstone a bone to the organization of, all right, we're going to try this multi tight end thing.
40:14Koziel to me fits a lot better into what the Jaguars want to do, just spreading the field out, having lots of
40:22pass catchers that can win and make plays. Koziel fits that a lot more than Berkertcher does, who is just much more
40:31of a pure blocking tight end, doesn't have a single college season with over 200 receiving yards.
40:37So if there is just a guy that gets on the field for a handful of games in a scenario like that,
40:46I could see it being Koziel as the second tight end in their 12 personnel set next to Brenton Strange.
40:53And from there, who knows? As I said, just one of the most productive, just target earning tight ends in college football.
41:02If he gets a chance on an NFL field, who knows what's going to happen?
41:07I really like him. He's just a taxi squad stash for me.
41:12He's on all my taxi squads. And he's just my favorite guy to bring up whenever we're talking really, really deep rookie sleepers.
41:20Yeah, he's free. And who doesn't love the price of free guys?
41:25It doesn't happen very often, but I think it's time I speak positively about a Baltimore Raven.
41:31Now I know, I know that this does not happen on this program very often.
41:37I, I love Adam Randall here as a project player, RB 53.
41:42I, I, I can't hate that price. And the expectations for him are reflected in his FFPC main event cost of an ADP of 226.6.
41:51That's below Justice Hill. People still think Justice Hill is the de facto backup.
41:57And I just don't see that being the case.
42:00Henry is, if Henry is signed through 2027 that, or he is signed through 2027, sorry, an extension would carry him into his age 34 season.
42:10Derek Henry is an absolute freak of nature, but maybe the Ravens don't extend Derek Henry because they have to pay Lamar
42:18Jackson another boatload of money to have him stick around in Baltimore.
42:23If they do depart, that leaves Adam Randall with a true runway.
42:27Now he is a bit of a project player.
42:31That's where the contract situation for Derek Henry really comes into play, but he is six foot two, 230 pound.
42:38He ran an unofficial four, five 40 that size.
42:42And that speed is not nothing. That is more than enough speed to break away and separate on large plays.
42:49You know, help created by Lamar Jackson. Now, Justice Hill, like I mentioned, is a fine change of pace back.
42:57I never truly believed him to be a true handcuff.
43:01And you add in that Randall can catch passes.
43:04He played wide receiver at Clemson all the way up until October of last year.
43:10There's legitimate upside. I know we joke all the time.
43:14The wide receiver that gets converted to running back.
43:17They're usually undersized players. They're not usually six foot two, 230 pounds.
43:22That's where I believe his upside case is. He is the body of a legitimate down to down running back.
43:29Now, pass protection is going to be a big part of that.
43:34Can he learn it? Talk with Brett Whitefield. He and I agree that really pass blocking for running backs comes down to
43:42willingness more often than not being willing to stick your nose in and really take the hit, learn what you're supposed to do.
43:51Lamar Jackson definitely makes it easy with a lot of play action and teams having to be really careful and some improvements
43:59on the offensive line will make his life a lot easier.
44:03There's going to be some learning curves. And as I mentioned, him converting to running back in the midst of a season
44:12was not easy for him, but he did seem to get better and better on tape every single week.
44:19And again, that was kind of reflected in Brett Whitefield's prospect breakdown of Adam Randall.
44:25He has the skill set. He has the speed.
44:28He has the size. He has some very special traits.
44:32And when we're looking at a round 19 startup pick, we're looking at a low end pick, even in single quarterback leagues.
44:40And I know people are constantly asking us for more one QB takes here.
44:45It is. Adam Randall has to be one of your favorites.
44:50He's going after Caleb Johnson, who I don't think has any upside whatsoever.
44:54He's going in and around guys like Torrey Horton, Pat Friermuth, Elijah Arroyo.
44:59These guys just do not, in my opinion, have the upside of a Baltimore Ravens running back of that size and speed.
45:08I don't remember the last time the Ravens had another running back on the roster that was that size with that speed and that pass catching prowess.
45:18It just never really happens outside of, well, Derrick Henry.
45:22I think he's a special player and I think he is in the perfect spot.
45:28Running alongside Lamar Jackson makes every running back's life easier.
45:31Can you take advantage of it? I don't know.
45:35Should anything happen, please God no, to Derrick Henry this season or next?
45:40I don't know if Justice Hill is going to get the goal line work or inside the 10 work outside of a
45:48six foot two, 230 pound running back who could push his way through the learning curve as early as training camp.
45:56Because remember, the learning curve for running back is not nearly as steep as it is for every other position in football.
46:04You add in the new play style, a lot of under center stuff, a lot of motion, big stacking tight ends that
46:13the Baltimore Ravens always love to do. Again, I just don't see a better fit for somebody than there is in Baltimore for someone like Adam Randall.
46:23He's got the age, the size, the speed, the traits, everything.
46:27I'm excited. My favorite sleeper, my favorite lesser known Baltimore Raven on the year.
46:32So there it is. I've done it. I've spoken positively and glowingly about a Baltimore Raven on dynasty points.
46:40That is a lot of sleepers for everyone to go through and digest.
46:45Hell, that's an entire bench for some leagues. We feel they're going to be worth it.
46:51Now, when you guys are watching this or even listening to this, dynasty points has already come back from our first live show.
46:59So if you missed that, please head over to the YouTube channel.
47:04That's YouTube exclusive and check that out. Five for five is returning in the early poll results.
47:10We'll see what happens on the other side of this.
47:14Come and leave a comment. The poll believes Jacob is in a tie for opportunity or who they think are going to win at 44%.
47:24Ryan's sitting at just a meager 12%. So you're going to have to come back here and leave a comment.
47:31Let us know how you did as a viewer.
47:35That's 12% way too high for Ryan. Yeah, that's what I was just about to say.
47:41Absolutely. I should not have 12% win equity or I will sell that win equity stake to anybody that's willing right now.
47:49I feel like maybe that 12% weren't around when the five for five or live stream used to happen over on the
47:57main channel over with the fantasy points YouTube channel.
48:01These might be new viewers, but we're going to find out.
48:05I think I have a great list of questions.
48:08Again, if you didn't go and watch that on the YouTube channel, if you're a Spotify listener only, you're doing yourself a disservice, not checking out the live.
48:19It's dynasty hot takes it's helping subscribers with their dynasty rosters.
48:23And it's the best game in fantasy football. It's just, it's just fact.
48:28Hope you enjoyed this episode. The sleepers are going to have more as the news kind of starts rolling out.
48:36I mean, who knows half these guys could get nuked two weeks in the training camp.
48:42We don't know, but we're excited to find out.
48:45Thanks for watching. Thanks for listening. Leave a comment, rate review.
48:49It helps a lot. Remember that clear eyes and full hearts can never lose and your best days are always spent tilting.
48:58We'll see you guys next time.
