A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury15:37

A.J. Brown suffered a high ankle sprain in the Wednesday game. The source projects a four-week minimum absence followed by a four-week production ramp-up, potentially making this an eight-to-nine-week issue. Concerns persist regarding his reliance on physical traits and speed, which may be diminished by the injury, as well as his recent injury history (hamstring, knee) dating back to late 2024.

Insight page
NegativeValue23:15

The source advises getting off of A.J. Brown while possible, noting that recent trade returns like Zay Flowers or a 2028 first-round pick are favorable moves. The source expresses concern over the Patriots' vanilla offensive scheme and Brown's lack of downfield usage, suggesting his market value is inflated compared to his current role.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

NegativeProjection26:24

The source characterizes Baker Mayfield as a 'mid to sometimes upper tier' quarterback who remains a high-turnover risk. He is not considered a target in the fifth round of drafts or worth a high-value trade asset, as the source believes his recent contract is an overpay.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveUsage76:15

Blake Corum looked explosive in his rotation with Kyren Williams, consistently outperforming him in terms of burst and efficiency during their shared series, despite Williams retaining red-zone work.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeValue24:45

The source views Christian McCaffrey as a sell candidate, questioning why managers would hold him through his injury issues only to trade him now. The source suggests that trading for a 'bandaid' like A.J. Brown is not a sound strategy for contending.

Insight page
NegativeUsage81:06

Christian McCaffrey remains the focal point of the 49ers' offense, with the source noting that the team's efficiency drops significantly when he is off the field. Despite the team's stated desire to reduce his workload, his role as the 'skeleton key' to the offense makes him difficult to remove in competitive games.

Insight page

Christian Watson

NegativeValue10:59

The source suggests moving Christian Watson, who is arguably a wide receiver five, in exchange for D'Andre Swift. The reasoning is that the Packers' offense under LaFleur is unlikely to produce a 'workhorse' wide receiver, and the positional value of a starting running back in a high-powered offense outweighs the current value of a depth wide receiver.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveValue4:18

D'Andre Swift signed a three-year, $33M+ contract extension with $27.5M guaranteed, locking him in as a potential bell cow in the Ben Johnson offense for at least two years. Despite being a 'Dynasty Zero' and a frequent trade throw-in, his efficiency metrics—including better missed tackles forced (.17 vs .10) and higher expected fantasy points per game (13.1 vs 8.7) compared to Khalil Herbert when both were healthy—suggest he is undervalued. The source expects his dynasty value to rise, making him a target for managers looking to move wide receiver depth for a top-15 running back.

Insight page

Davante Adams

NegativeUsage75:14

Davante Adams's usage was concerning, with the source noting he was not charted for a single play inside the 10-yard line. The poor performance was attributed in part to the team's difficult travel and sleep schedule adjustments for the game in Australia.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

PositiveUsage68:26

Deebo Samuel saw significant usage with seven targets and three red-zone looks, showing a 50% slot rate and 6.3% backfield usage. While his 3.0 yards per route run is likely to regress, the source notes this usage mirrors his 2021 breakout season and suggests he could be a viable, cheaper alternative to A.J. Brown for contenders.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection35:50

The source criticizes Drake Maye's performance, noting he lacks comfort in the pocket and frequently resorts to scrambling at the first hint of pressure. His inability to attack downfield is highlighted as a major concern for the Patriots' offense.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveUsage61:11

George Kittle is an 'all systems go' buy after a dominant Week 1 performance where he led the team in routes run (47.2% share) despite returning from January Achilles surgery. He remains a high-end asset, and the source notes he is still undervalued in many dynasty tight-end premium leagues.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveBreakout55:00

Jadarian Price impressed in his rookie debut with a 70% success rate and 5.2 yards per carry, showing more decisiveness than Kenneth Walker. Despite a rotational backfield, the source believes Price's talent will force the coaching staff to ride the hot hand, especially with Zach Charbonnet sidelined. He is a strong hold/buy for dynasty managers.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveUsage85:26

Following Malik Davis's season-ending hip injury, the source suggests Javonte Williams could potentially lead all running backs in snap share for Dallas.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveValue29:47

The source explicitly prefers the Jalen Waddle side of a trade involving A.J. Brown, indicating Waddle is a more desirable dynasty asset in the current market.

Insight page

Khalil Herbert

NegativeUsage6:58

Khalil Herbert is significantly less efficient than D'Andre Swift in almost every category except man-gap schemes, where he posted 5.29 yards per carry and a 60% success rate. While he had a few big games, the source notes his production was inflated by matchups like the Bengals and he is currently being overhyped by dynasty managers relative to the veteran starter in front of him.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeUsage76:03

Kyren Williams is viewed as a sell candidate due to his contract situation, as the team could move on from him next year. The source notes a rotation where Williams handles early-series work while Blake Corum looks more explosive, with Williams primarily being used near the 20-yard line.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection29:02

The source projects Lamar Jackson to become the NFL's first $70 million-per-year player, citing his two-time MVP status. Despite injury concerns, he is viewed as an elite fantasy asset.

Insight page

Mack Hollins

NegativeUsage30:31

Mack Collins saw significant usage in neutral game scripts, leading the team with 29% of targets in those situations. However, the source notes that his usage is often tied to run-heavy formations, limiting his fantasy excitement despite the target volume.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeUsage39:42

Rhamondre Stevenson had a brutal outing with a negative 32.5 rushing yards over expectation and a 55.6% stuff rate. The source notes he lacks explosiveness, struggles to push the pile, and is more of a 'boom or bust' player than previously assumed, though he remains 'old reliable' for short-yardage consistency.

Insight page
NegativeUsage47:08

Rhamondre Stevenson remains the primary early-down back, with the source projecting a 60-40 split in his favor even when TreVeyon Henderson is fully healthy. Despite concerns about his lack of explosive playmaking and limited goal-line efficiency—noting only a 9.1% target share and inconsistent red-zone usage last year—he is expected to maintain his role as a volume-based RB2/flex option.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

NegativeInjury65:46

Ricky Pearsall faces a concerning situation after suffering an injury in Week 1. While the source remains interested in his long-term potential, they advise caution due to the high attrition rate in the San Francisco offense and the uncertainty surrounding his specific injury status.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveProjection23:40

The source views Terry McLaurin as a 'touchdown machine' and believes his fantasy upside is comparable to A.J. Brown's, provided both Jayden Daniels and McLaurin remain healthy. The source admits to previously underestimating McLaurin's value.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

NegativeRole40:45

The source believes TreVeyon Henderson will likely remain in a committee role due to durability concerns, despite his superior explosiveness compared to Rhamondre Stevenson. His dynasty value may have been artificially boosted by not playing in Week 1.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout46:07

The source argues TreVeyon Henderson is the necessary 'dreaded weapon' for a Patriots offense desperate for explosiveness. With superior yards per carry, EPA, and explosive run rates compared to the rest of the backfield, the source expects his route participation to climb from 36% to over 50% as the team seeks to replace A.J. Brown's production.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveBreakout25:51

The source is high on Zay Flowers, projecting a potential 'Terry McLaurin-type blow up' in the touchdown department. Flowers is viewed as a superior asset to A.J. Brown in dynasty formats due to his attachment to an elite quarterback in Lamar Jackson.

0:14Einfach viel bequemer. Bezwinge deinen Lauf mit Hallenzehen. Okay, das klingt traumhaft.
0:18Mehr Komfort, Kraft und Dynamik. Alles durch die Passform.
0:21Altra versteht das einfach. Altra, stay out there. The two games in the books already.
0:27There's lots to talk about Dynasty-wise from the first two games of the NFL season.
0:32There's lots to look forward to over the weekend.
0:35This is Dynasty Points. This is the Market Report and it starts right now.
0:39Hello everybody, welcome back to Dynasty Points. This is the Market Report.
0:44Thomas Tipple, Zach Swales here. Andrew Buckler will be back with us next week.
0:48But the football season is here and that means there's lots to talk about and we cannot get through everything with just two episodes in a week.
0:57So this is what we're going to do here towards the end of the week.
1:03Talk about some things that have happened throughout the week.
1:06We're going to watch the market, whether it's going up, down, who's in, who's out and how we're feeling moving forward.
1:13Swales, I am super stoked to have you joining us this year for Market Report.
1:18You bring a little bit different vibe to Market Report.
1:22You look at things a little bit differently. And as you know, and our listeners know, the best part about Dynasty Points
1:29is it is just chock full of people that play the game differently.
1:34You can't have people that agree with each other non-stop and just pat each other on the back the whole way.
1:41So this is a fun week to get us started.
1:44We've got two games in the books. One much better than the other.
1:48Both kind of booty. But thanks for joining us here this year.
1:53Excited to have you. Yeah, man, I'm excited to be here.
1:56Kickstart this this stuff off this year. NFL did us right by kind of staggering games a little bit because they gave us so much to talk about.
2:06Just, you know, the NFL universe is upside down right now with these Wednesday, Thursday games, the way that the Australia game played out.
2:14And I'm just excited to be able to come out of the shadows from the data charting and bring some of that
2:21tape and data analysis to the Market Report here.
2:25So, yeah, it'll be it'll be a unique twist this season.
2:28That's right. Not only are international games just like an absolute nightmare, but you're putting it on the Thursday.
2:35Just just brutal. And of course, the Wednesday game would have gone a lot better had a starting quarterback not been done.
2:42Gone. Immediately. First drive. Sam Darnold. Gone. So, obviously not a hot start, but we have some fun stuff to take away from those games.
2:51But first, we got some news here early. The Kyle Monungai stands, if you would, are going to have to wait a
2:58couple years for the running back takeover. Uh, Swift signs a new contract extension.
3:03Three years, 33 plus million. 27 and a half guaranteed.
3:06We're going to have to see all the details and how this breaks down.
3:11But I like this deal. He's been a fairly reasonably priced dynasty asset for the next couple of years.
3:18Very hard to keep him now outside of that top 15 range here.
3:22Now that he's got a little bit of comfort, all of the Ben Johnson hated him, drove him out of Detroit stuff,
3:29kind of gets put to rest here a little bit.
3:33He had a great year. When I was looking up Swift for this show, I forgot he was an Eagle.
3:40I actually thought we got something wrong in DataSuite 2.0 because I actually forgot.
3:44In a really good year in Philadelphia, went to Chicago, kind of got left behind.
3:50I've called him a Dynasty Zero for a while just because nobody has wanted him.
3:55He's been like the prototypical RB2 mid to mid round type back in startup drafts for a while.
4:01This has you feeling pretty good if you have him.
4:04I imagine he's going to get a lot harder to buy in Dynasty.
4:09Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head.
4:12Swift was one of those people that he was just kind of a notorious throw in and a lot of trades and
4:19nobody gave a ton of cadence to his role in a Ben Johnson offense that we are all trying to get a piece of.
4:28Swift kind of got that narrative where you talked about it last offseason.
4:32Everybody was talking about how long is Swift going to stay in Ben Johnson's offense because he hates him and he's just
4:40going to kind of write out his contract and then they'll eventually move on.
4:44And here we are again making the same mistake that a lot of Dynasty managers are hyping up a seventh round rookie
4:52who doesn't deserve it when he has a veteran right in front of him who is now getting paid.
4:58I think this kind of lock Swift in potentially for at least the next two years as a potential bell cow in that Ben Johnson offense.
5:07I think the bell cow thing is probably where I draw my line.
5:12I don't think there's really that many in the league.
5:15There's not. There's just not a lot of actual but I think there's like five.
5:20So I think kind of the time split that you got last year is probably what you're going to get this year
5:28and we look at the market values for DeAndre Swift.
5:31We fantasy points values them a little bit higher than the market value does.
5:361300 trades. That is number is definitely going to go up a seven day trend.
5:41He's trending up already. This hasn't the front office is not updated from the news today yet should be updated as of
5:48tomorrow morning, but we're going to I think what you see when the both of them are healthy is what you're.
5:55What you're kind of in for moving forward. I mean Swift had a very good year like we mentioned last year 57.8%
6:03of the snaps 58.3% inside of the five which I thought was kind of interesting a 43 route share the 8.4% target
6:10share could be better, but I think that's a little bit more.
6:14On the design of the offense more than it is on him as a player, though.
6:20I do think he was a little bit overrated as a pass catcher, I think over the last couple of years, but a fairly efficient runner.
6:29I mean the offense is designed for explosives, but it's a rush.
6:33Go ahead more efficient than Manongai for sure. You might be right to the bell cow perspective.
6:39I would say you're probably seeing Swift's value rise because we expected Manongai to miss the first week, which would have ensued
6:46him to potentially have that bell cow usage. But as you can see here in the data suite 2.0, I mean in
6:54pretty much every single category minus man gap Swift is significantly more efficient than Manongai.
6:59So at the end of the day, because Swift is a player that has injury histories, I'm perfectly okay with him sharing
7:06a piece of the pie with a guy like Manongai.
7:10But I think we just need to remember not to get ahead of ourselves with players like Manongai when they have a veteran like Swift into.
7:18Yeah, Manongai had a couple of big games, but one of them was against the Bengals, which just wasn't hard to do.
7:26When you look at the two of them in 2025, when they both played, we went through and we looked to make sure.
7:34Swift obviously had the better missed tackles force at a .17 to Manongai at a .10.
7:39We had Swift at 58% versus 38% of inside the 5.
7:4354% success with just a 36% stuff rate versus cow Manongai with a 50% and 40% in those two.
7:49In those two categories respectively. And Manongai, as you mentioned, really only wins in the man gap scheme, a 5.29 yards per
7:57carry with a 60% success rate where Swift was a 4.16 with a 49%, which doesn't really surprise me with Swift's play style.
8:05Kind of pressed to the edge zone, good cutback.
8:08Type runner, a 13.1 expected fantasy points per game to Kyle Manongai's 8.7 when they were both healthy.
8:14That's where I would argue that Swift has potential to even go up.
8:18You mentioned this 8% target share, right? And 13.1 expected fantasy points.
8:22So what if you see just about a .5% to 2% increase in the target share?
8:28You could see Swift approach 15 points per game.
8:31Expected fantasy points per game. Yeah, if you did, I mean, I would just definitely put him in that top 15 steadily.
8:38I'm going to be doing a tier sheet update for the front office here over the weekend when I finally get a minute to fully implement those.
8:47But it's going to be really hard, I imagine, when I do those rankings, when I do that walkthrough.
8:54It's going to be very hard to keep him out of there.
8:58So I'm going to be interested in seeing what the trades kind of look like, what the trades end up being over the next couple of days.
9:07Because obviously when we get news like this, things with players definitely move quickly for Dynasty managers.
9:13So I just want to pull up Swift and just look at some of the recent trades involving him as of now.
9:20Yeah, so really in two seconds, Malik Davis, who we have to talk about, got hurt practice today.
9:27I actually had to go and double check to see who the next man up was.
9:32And it's Demarcato. So definitely go and check your waiver wires.
9:36It's Demarcato. So it'll be interesting to see. You're going to want to go and check your Dynasty waiver wires for him.
9:43Although I don't think he's really much, if he would.
9:47But this is kind of the trade that I'm interested in.
9:50David Montgomery was one of my favorites heading into this year.
9:54And DeAndre Swift for Algier, just straight handcuff. And Bachel Tootin, who a lot of people have pegged as kind of that next Dynasty favorite in Jacksonville.
10:03Even, I mean, that room is really tough to read with if you look at coach speak and how it is.
10:10But here you have from the 10th, which is yesterday.
10:14We're recording this on the 11th. DeAndre Swift for a 27-1 and a 27-3.
10:19Like, I would still take that first every single time.
10:22So I'm wondering if this is kind of going to end up being the norm for him or not.
10:28I'm going to say not. But it's going to look at the difference here.
10:33You've got Brenton Strange and Tajay Spears for Swift right underneath the Swift for 27-1.
10:38That is a duality of running backs in Dynasty.
10:41See, and it's crazy because the value on Swift's side is on par with a 27-1, but I'm right there with you.
10:49I couldn't do it. I know you're not somebody that likes to trade running back for running back.
10:55So I've got a question for you. If you're heavy on wide receiver, like according to the Fantasy Points front office tool,
11:02I'm number two in wide receiver but number six in running back.
11:07So would you move somebody like a Christian Watson, who is arguably my wide receiver five, for a DeAndre Swift?
11:13I would. I think I would. I like Christian Watson, but again, I don't think we're in for like a...
11:20I mean, what is the bell cow version of a wide?
11:24Like, I don't think we're getting that workhorse wide receiver type season.
11:28I don't think LeFleur has that in him to give a single wide receiver that ever again.
11:34And we just know the positional value of running backs right now is so important.
11:39A wide receiver five, I'm definitely okay letting that go.
11:42For really a top running back on an offense that everyone seems to want a piece of.
11:48Look at how many players are drafted in the first four or five rounds for Chicago.
11:54And Swift is the odd man out. I mean, he's...
11:57He's kind of the most regular piece that is seemingly available on an offense that everyone has taking the next step or
12:04two even in the progression for Ben Johnson. So I'm more than willing to do a deal like that.
12:11Yeah, he was just the forgotten guy all offseason.
12:14I mean, you just mentioned it. Everybody's been ranting and raving about Burden to Loveland to...
12:19You know, some people are even on the Odunze boat and not a single person has been wanting or willing to talk about Swift.
12:28And now here he is a paid man. Yeah, and that's usually how it goes.
12:33And that's why Buck and I often talk about running backs that are kind of cheap, kind of forgotten.
12:39Like, even right now, per our trade database or trade tool...
12:43Oh, this is values in redraft. So look how much that flips.
12:47In Dynasty, you get a Christian Watson. And in redraft, it's so heavily leaned towards DeAndre Swift.
12:53So to me, that's telling because that matters to me.
12:56A player's value or perceived production in redraft is still telling for this year.
13:01You still have to go and put points on the board.
13:05Now, 27.5 million guaranteed. He's going to be on this roster this year and next.
13:10That's with the 2027 draft class coming in. I definitely like that value of DeAndre Swift here.
13:15And I really think this is going to flip.
13:19I think this flips over the next couple of weeks, especially if DeAndre Swift gets off to a nice start.
13:25Might have to float that trade out there because right now in that league I mentioned, I'm rocking Harvey or one of the commandos as my RB2.
13:35So I'd much rather move Watson for Swift in that scenario.
13:38Yeah, the commandos backfield is just not what I've been.
13:42I've actually been drafting a lot of JCM this year, even though last year there's the whole back and forth with the Dynasty Point subscribers and myself.
13:51You know, it just so happened that I had a week off.
13:55I took one. I don't miss a lot of shows.
13:58I miss the I miss the shows this week, had some medical stuff that I couldn't push away.
14:04And then, of course, last year, the last show I missed, I believe, was last year.
14:10It was a birthday surprise. I couldn't do anything about it.
14:14Of course, JCM goes off that weekend. Everyone comments that I'm gone because of it.
14:19And then, funny enough, it's not mentioned again until week 17 because he didn't do anything really between the two games.
14:26So that's how it goes sometimes. That's okay. I love our fans and our listeners as it is.
14:32So that's Swift. Definitely going to move him up on my board.
14:36Definitely going to go start putting some feeler trades out there.
14:40Maybe somebody wants to get rid of him after the big payday.
14:44I don't know why somebody want to do that around week one, but, well, we just, we looked at some of those trades just from yesterday.
14:53And it still seems like he's very much, well, available.
14:56My legs are going to move me. These shoes are too long.
15:00Do you still wear these tight shoes? I mean, are not all the shoes so formed?
15:06No, you need Altras. Altras? Altras are formed like your legs with a foot-farmed 10 box.
15:11Just a bit more comfortable. You're going to push your legs with a foot-farmed 10.
15:16Okay, that's crazy. More comfort, strength and dynamic. Everything through the pass-form.
15:20Altras understands it. Altras, stay out there. Let's talk about some of the stuff from the games this last week.
15:27Because we're going to start with the Wednesday game and talk about some of the impacts there.
15:33This one is crushing. This one really sucks. It was a pretty badly placed ball.
15:38In my opinion, from Drake May to A.J. Brown.
15:41And, well, we thought it could be way worse.
15:44I thought it was going to be way worse.
15:47It wasn't that bad. There was no break in the ankle or anything like that.
15:52But a high ankle sprain definitely sucks. We're talking about a guy who's looked at with top 10 upside with the Patriots this year.
16:00And an offense that had Drake May coming off a second and MVP type finish.
16:06With a four-week minimum, I think we can expect something like probably...
16:10Look, I'm no doctor. I don't claim to be.
16:13I can barely read and write. But I think you're probably expecting that four weeks is on the AR when he comes back.
16:20And you're probably going to get like a four-week production ramp up.
16:25I'm not expecting with a high ankle sprain for a wide receiver, especially a physical type, explosive type wide receiver that his
16:32production is just going to come back and be healthy.
16:35But we just don't see that very often with a high ankle sprain.
16:40Although, when was the last time I ever saw a low ankle sprain?
16:44Like any problem with the ankle is just immediately a high ankle sprain.
16:49So I'm interested to see the first time we get a reported low ankle sprain.
16:54I just don't know if that's really a thing.
16:57But we're going to... This is probably an eight to nine week problem.
17:01And there's a lot of people out there that were depending on AJ Brown.
17:06So here's the dynasty spin that I want to ask you.
17:10I see this being like the last six games of the season.
17:14Heading into the playoff run where he becomes potentially that top ten wide receiver late in the year.
17:20Here's the problem. Most people aren't giving him up for less than what they would have paid for, which would have been a first.
17:28First, I'm going to pull up the market trend for AJ Brown over the year here in a minute when I pass this off to you.
17:37But the question is, are you as a contender in dynasty willing to go ask what somebody is willing to take on
17:44for AJ Brown if they really want points to start the year?
17:49Week one, it is one game. The six points that he got you aren't exactly going to look pretty in your lineup this week.
17:57Sometimes that's enough to have someone really want to get those points replaced.
18:01Some people don't want to mess with a high ankle.
18:05I'm going to call him an aging receiver, but it's not like he's an over the hill type wide receiver.
18:11But some people worry about this kind of stuff, injury history, etc.
18:15So you obviously are a contender if you have him or you should be.
18:20You don't want to be a tweener. Are you either trading him away or looking to buy?
18:26And then what kind of player are you looking to kind of replace him?
18:31So when it comes to AJ Brown, for me, I am not personally willing to buy and I haven't been willing to buy most of the offseason.
18:40Now, this is not a situation where I would want to pat myself on the back and say that I was correct.
18:47But the AJ Brown situation has worried me from the beginning, mainly to do with the functionality of the Patriots offense.
18:55You have a super spreader offense. He was already not really getting a ton of volume or work to start that game.
19:02Drake May was already moving the ball around. And if you truly are a contender, I feel like you can get more
19:10guaranteed, less risky points with AJ Brown. I don't know how you feel about high ankle sprains.
19:15I know you made the joke about how we never hear about low ankle sprains.
19:20But just look at CeeDee Lamb last year and the way that he was in and out of the lineup.
19:27And it took forever to get back to 100%.
19:30So really, when it's come to AJ Brown, I have been in the camp of trying to sell hot while you can most of the offseason.
19:39Now you're going to be stuck. Most of the people are going to be stuck.
19:44But as soon as he pops off, if he does kind of return to form, I'm going to be once again advocating
19:52to trying to sell while you can before. Essentially, before the floor completely comes out.
19:57I think that's fair. I just thought, you know, we've been joking with the New England Patriots wide receiver core.
20:04Man, if they just had a wide receiver one like, I don't know, Jacoby Myers, their offense would have been pretty good.
20:11But instead, we've been getting this Demario Douglas. They tried the double draft picks in Polk.
20:17And I actually forget who the other wide receiver was that year.
20:21I just knew I was out on both of them.
20:24But the Kyle Williams thing, I really thought, hey, they were maybe trading away Booty and they were going to get Williams.
20:31Nope, that was definitely not the case. So they traded away Booty, who they probably really could have used in the Wednesday game.
20:39But they traded away for a bucket of range balls.
20:43Just really didn't, really didn't fully get it. You're right on the injury history, too.
20:48I mean, the teeth one was interesting. I do remember that.
20:52But you got hamstring, hamstring, knee, knee, knee. Like, it's pretty much all injury related from week 16, 2024 on.
20:58So we did practice and follow through a lot of those.
21:02Some people said he looked a little bit slower.
21:05We had some speed data. Brett Whitefield talked about a lot.
21:09But I don't. Oh, go ahead. Oh, I was just going to say, that's the big thing, again, coming from the high ankle sprain, right?
21:17AJ Brown, like you talked about, he wins on his physical traits and his speed.
21:22And how much of that is going to be zapped, I genuinely don't know.
21:27We think it's a four-week injury right now. But to your point, if it's that four to six weeks, most managers, you're
21:35just, I mean, we're going to be halfway through the fantasy season at that point.
21:40So could you get some contenders that, you know, maybe only have two or three losses and suffer some attrition?
21:47Yeah, sure. You could see a reason to go and trade for AJ Brown.
21:51My only question is, if you're going to be making that move to go after AJ Brown, can't you get more guaranteed points with less risk somewhere else?
22:01I think so. But I don't look at AJ Brown like he is a redraft player.
22:06Like, he's not even a redraft plus type player.
22:09A player you're going to get one year out of maybe two.
22:13If you're getting AJ Brown, it's going to be for more than just this year.
22:19So you have to kind of take that into account.
22:22Well, he is 29 with like no knees. I know.
22:25I know. I wouldn't say no knees. I thought he actually looked pretty good in the usage.
22:31Although I did find it kind of funny that the broadcast talked about him like he was Michael Thomas.
22:38Like, I don't know why they were just, he's so good at running a slant route.
22:43He can really run a slant route. He runs slant route.
22:47But it's like, guys, we're talking about a big, hulking, powerful, dominant wide receiver.
22:52And we're talking about him like he's slant boy 2.0.
22:55Now, Michael Thomas was a dominant, very good wide receiver for those.
22:59I just thought the way they were talking about AJ Brown made him sound more like Pop Douglas than, you know, AJ freaking Brown.
23:07So I thought that was kind of funny. I caught that, but look at some of these trades we've gotten even from today.
23:15From today, AJ Brown and a third for Zay Flowers.
23:18This is insane to me. That's what I mean about like just getting more.
23:23Yeah, like even the next one. Scary Terry. I still think I would.
23:28I think I still think I would take AJ Brown.
23:31Really? Okay. Yeah, I think. I think. I don't know.
23:34Straight. Mm. Bitcoin. I think. Yeah, I. Hmm. I think I'm going to keep AJ Brown.
23:40Although. So I think I actually might be a little bit off base with Terry McLaurin.
23:45So with in his rookie year with in his rookie year and Jane Jane's rookie year, Terry McLaurin was a sell for me.
23:53And that kind of ended up not totally working on unless you got that first plus pick that I wrote about at fantasy points dot com.
24:02But Terry McLaurin is a touchdown machine. It was 10 touchdowns where a lot of his value came from.
24:08Then last year he came in and it was the holdout.
24:12And we know what happens with wide receivers that hold out.
24:16Then they tend to get these soft tissue injuries because they're not in training camp the whole time.
24:22And then he comes out slow out of the gate.
24:25Jane Daniels gets hurt. Terry McLaurin did get paid.
24:29Um. I think I talked myself. I think I would go Terry McLaurin.
24:33I think. Jane Daniels healthy. Terry McLaurin healthy. I think the upside is about similar.
24:38You're right. You're right. Okay. I talked myself. I'll talk myself back.
24:42But even look at some of these September 10th.
24:45So this is after the injury. We got AJ Brown and Travis H and and for Christian McCaffrey and Juwan Jennings, which.
24:53Kind of crazy. I think it was still panic.
24:56So right there. That's definitely seems like we're going to talk about the Caelan Black stuff.
25:01But yeah, that's a Christian McCaffrey sell, which I understand.
25:05Like I do get wanting out. But if you had Christian McCaffrey this whole time, why now?
25:10Trade him for AJ. I just that that doesn't make a ton of sense to me.
25:16That's that seems like contending with a bandaid. And I just it's not some that's not how I would want to play.
25:23But you get this AJ Brown at 27 third for JK Dobbins in a 28 one.
25:29I'll I'll look at that 28 one. I would.
25:32Oh, yeah, for sure. Yeah. I mean, that fits exactly the narrative I'm talking about, about getting off of Brown while you can.
25:40Yeah, I'm definitely again. I don't want to I don't want to make it sound like I'm trading AJ Brown for just anything I can.
25:48But some of these are not even agreed close.
25:51Like Zay Tobin at the top. Like insane. I'm really in the camp of Zay Tobin potentially having that Terry McLaurin type blow up in the touchdown department.
26:01If that happens, man, that's a landslide in flowers.
26:04Oh, yes. Yeah. Zay flowers not only paid, but I mean attached to an elite.
26:09Look, I've made. I think I think Lamar Jackson will be the first 70 million dollar a year player in the NFL.
26:16I think that's coming. Like, look at the Baker contract.
26:20We didn't even talk about it. There's so much stuff here coming.
26:24I wouldn't even talk about the Baker Mayfield contract, which I think is a massive overpay and something that about it.
26:31Are you? Well, I'm just I'm mad that we're not going to get pissed off Baker now.
26:37I was happy when we were going to get.
26:40Yeah, we will. Baker. Yeah, we will. Well, he lives that way, even though he was, you know, the first overall pick
26:47in the draft and he took the Browns to the playoffs.
26:51And then he, yes, got hurt, but that didn't.
26:54Just because the players non throwing shoulder got hurt doesn't mean you get to blame that for handing the ball over to
27:02the other team pretty much more than anyone else not named Sam Darnold.
27:06He does it over and over and over. And then he gets to do the nice comeback story.
27:12And it was cool in L.A. And like he showed up and had three days of practice and goes out in the McVay system and does great.
27:21Then he goes to Tampa Bay and has the best year of his career.
27:26And then go back to the same old Baker.
27:29And then he finds a way to be an underdog for a guy who's just kind of underperformed year over year.
27:36But to him, he'll always be pissed off Baker because that's it's just his it's a stick for him.
27:43And I think it's fine. I want a player to have an edge, find an edge, need an edge.
27:49But the underdog one is just. Dread tired. It's tired.
27:53But I'm happy that he got the paycheck. I just I think teams do this thing.
27:58Where instead of just like kind of letting that mid and we can call Baker may feel like a mid to sometimes upper tier quarterback.
28:07I think that's safe to say he has some really great games.
28:11But again, he's like a high turnover. Kind of like mid 2000s to late 2000s gunslinger type.
28:16That just lets the ball fly and get picked off a little bit.
28:21Banged up a lot. But to pay these guys that much money.
28:25It's what I liked about Seattle and how they handled the Darnold deal.
28:29And these guys that are paying just a little bit less.
28:33I don't know. I think you're just kind of prolonging.
28:36Some mediocrity there, but that don't want to talk too much about it.
28:41Like he's not. He's a fine fantasy quarterback. Not someone I want to take in like the fifth round.
28:47Not someone I want to pay like a first plus four on a consistent basis.
28:52And you look at that deal. So if you look at that and you could project a guy like Lamar Jackson, two time MVP.
29:01So on and so forth who also does get hurt.
29:04Let's be real. But he's going to be that first 70 million dollar player to me.
29:09But back to AJ Brown after after an aside there.
29:13Yes, they flowers attached to that kind of offense.
29:16That kind of quarterback. I'm I'm with you in the touchdown department.
29:20Yes. Saquon Barkley for AJ Brown and Rico Dowdle.
29:23Like I would take that Barkley side in a super flex AJ Brown for Patrick Mahomes and DJ Moore.
29:29That's not a real trade. That's one of those ones that I look at and I'm like, that's not real.
29:36Like that's not a real person doing that deal.
29:39That's a very strange deal. I wouldn't count that as like a regular occurrence.
29:44But there's another one. There's your Terry McLaurin deal.
29:47Yeah. Jalen Waddle. I mean, I would definitely take the Waddle side there.
29:52This one, not so much. You got the Godwin, but there's that first and a two.
29:57I think that's a good place to draw the line is that Godwin.
30:01Yeah. Oh, yeah. I don't want that's crazy. That's one of those.
30:06That's a panic points. That's that's what that deal was.
30:09The really the other interesting thing is that Dobbs was ass and not the metric like he was he was bad.
30:16He was he was a non-factor in that game pretty much the whole time.
30:21Before the injury after the injury before the drop after the drop and the drop was bad.
30:27Very very bad. Mac Collins was kind of the guy from what I saw.
30:31And then they tried to do some of the screen stuff with Pop Douglas, which same old, same old for him.
30:39What I found very interesting about Mac Collins was the usage in neutral.
30:43He was their highest targeted player and neutral game script, not doves who don't even think crack the top.
30:49Three. I just I don't know. He might be the guy.
30:53It doesn't sound exciting to me. He saw five targets in the game.
30:58Like I said, man, she was the most targeted player in neutral game script.
31:02Twenty nine percent of the targets when they were in a neutral game script.
31:07I don't know what to make of Dobbs. He just wasn't a part of the game plan.
31:13It feels like even though the game plan felt like I was watching like a 1980 Navy versus Army.
31:19I don't know what the hell that offensive game plan was for week one.
31:24Terrible. Granted, Seattle is a phenomenal defense. Obviously a top tier defense, but the design stuff wasn't there for Dobbs.
31:31I don't know. Seemed like a non factor. You were talking before we hit record about how every time he was on
31:38the field, it was just going to be a run.
31:42But yet again, most targeted player in neutral game script.
31:45So. He was he was the first down guy to it.
31:49They did again. The broadcast. Was like, OK. Another another just side thing.
31:53I'm going to say, I'm going to forget about it when we talk about price.
31:58Have I just been. Am I getting one guide?
32:02Is it Jadarian price? I don't know what Collinsworth.
32:05What? Like he was saying it. Jadarian. Jadarian. Am I getting one guide or is that?
32:10Have I just been saying it wrong? I thought it was last year.
32:14Yeah. OK. Because he did this last year. At least once.
32:18I can't remember what player it was. But the whole game, I was like, is he or am I?
32:25I wasn't sure if I was getting one guide.
32:28But I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only person that felt this way.
32:33Yeah. I don't know. I guess I don't know what the exact pronunciation is.
32:38But I've always been going by Jadarian. See, now I'm now I'm doing it.
32:42It's in my head. So, OK. So for Matt Collins standpoint and AJ Brown.
32:47So this is one of the benefits, right? With me being a charter and being able to talk ball with you guys,
32:55because I actually charted the Patriots on on Wednesday night.
32:58So one of the first things that I saw early on in the game, every time Matt Collins came out there and
33:05Brett Whitefield and the team has preached about this.
33:09But every time Mike Collins was out there early and often, it was like 98% of the time a run play.
33:16You even had Seattle recognizing that Mac was calm coming out onto the field and they were kind of piling up into the box to stop the run.
33:25I don't know what the hell was going on with the Patriots, but it felt like when they got that 10 point
33:33lead, they just got incredibly complacent and vanilla. And so once the injury started to pile in, people forget Hunter Henry got
33:40injured for a minute there, too, and came out for a couple snaps before before coming back in.
33:46I mean, the first two games of the season have just been very brutal on the body.
33:52And we see this more and more as players play less and less in the preseason.
33:57And so I think a lot of that kind of played a factor into Matt Collins usage.
34:03And then at the end of the day, when bodies started to fall, there was just really nowhere left to go.
34:10Matt Collins has that reliability. And when A.J. Brown went down, there was nobody left that had any sort of size.
34:18You had Demario Douglas in the slot, Eli Raritan and Hunter Henry.
34:22They had Hunter Henry running routes out of the backfield, okay?
34:25What the hell are we doing? So that's what I mean about the game script and everything got really weird.
34:32I will say they have to be able and be willing to disguise Matt Collins usage more.
34:38To your point, if Matt Collins is going to be a weapon, they're going to have to use him more on passing
34:45downs instead of early rundown situations as a receiver that digs players out of the run game.
34:51My legs bring me up. These shoes are too heavy.
34:55Do you still have to wear these tight shoes?
34:58I mean, are not all the shoes so formed?
35:01No, you need Altras. Altras? Altras are formed like your feet with a foot-farmic 10-box.
35:06Just a bit more comfortable. You're going to get your feet with a high-end 10.
35:11Okay, that sounds traumhaft. More comfort, strength and dynamic.
35:14Everything through the pass-form. Altra understands that. Altra, stay out there.
35:18Well, I think with that, we can just transition over to what I think about the explosive plays just in general.
35:25Like you mentioned, you get Hunter Henry running plays out of the bat.
35:29Like, no creativity on this offense at all when A.J.
35:33Brown went down. And even when A.J. Brown was in, I thought this was the most vanilla, almost like they conceded the game.
35:41Like, they were just willing to take the L if they didn't grind it out.
35:46They didn't attack downfield at all, except for on that terrible flea flicker play.
35:50Which A.J. Brown had him beat by, like, a lot.
35:54Like, a lot. A lot, a lot. And I just got to tell you, Eagles fans, I hear you.
36:00If Jalen Hurts under through that ball, it would be pitchforks.
36:04But Drake May does it, and it's fine. It was a smart play.
36:08This is what I heard. It wasn't as bad as the Josh Allen arm punt stuff that CBS was putting out in his MVP year.
36:17This is, like, a hilariously bad throw into the end zone.
36:21Josh Allen gets picked off and, like, what an arm punt.
36:24Pin him down. No, it was a terrible play.
36:27It wasn't even fourth down. Like, what are we?
36:31Anyway, it wasn't as bad on May's part. But if Jalen Hurts does that, we're talking about, like, pitchforks and rioting.
36:38And A.J. Brown wasn't sitting on the sideline reading a book after that play.
36:42It was just. And then, again, the broadcast is, like, what a smart play by A.J.
36:48Brown. He was selfless. He knew that he had a free play down to the one if he just jumped back.
36:55Yeah. Dude. Like, what are we? He was trying to get to the ball.
37:00The framing of stuff sometimes for different teams and players is something I'm, like, becoming way more aware of.
37:06And it's why I often on Sundays watch games on mute, depending on who the game is.
37:12Like, I just can't deal with it anymore. But.
37:15Shout out to Luke Keekly, though. Oh. Luke Keekly killed it on the mic, bro.
37:20He was so good. He was so good. Although, I do got to say, him standing next to Ian Eagle is, like, hilarious to me.
37:29Like, it took me back to, like, being a pro wrestler and I'm only 5'8", but, like, everyone else in the locker room is, like, 6'4".
37:38And I'm the small guy. It took me back to that.
37:41But, hilarious. But, no. He was fantastic. We're getting good, intelligent commentary from players.
37:46Not what's out there most Sundays. But, yeah. Eagles fans.
37:49I hear you. But you're right. That's a good point.
37:53We can pivot this over to how hilariously inefficient Ramondre was.
37:57And, yes, it was against Seattle. Don't get me wrong.
38:00And a lot of those runs got shot down.
38:03Like, they just weren't blocked right. It felt like Seattle was bringing everything all the time.
38:08Feeling the run gaps. Because, again, I don't think they were afraid of the downfield.
38:14And correct me if I'm wrong, but there were two players, not starters.
38:18Not regulars, I should say, in the Seattle secondary.
38:21And New England was still like, I'm good, bro.
38:24Yeah. Didn't make a lot of sense. They were missing Nicky Manorari, who is a pretty big one.
38:30He basically plays as the big slot. And, like, he's almost like an extra linebacker slash down safety in the box there for him.
38:38But you're right. Like, this is – so, over at Fantasy Points, we've been doing O-line, D-line charting.
38:45And this is one of those things, like, after watching the Patriots offensive line, I totally understand why Brett Whitefield kind of
38:52dogs on Will Campbell all the time. But it gets to be, honestly, even worse with – I look at Jalen Wilson, who they've moved to center.
39:01I know nobody is here to talk about offensive line.
39:05But going into that, like, that is going to continue to be the Achilles heel of the Patriots.
39:11And we saw that. Drake May, not for a second, felt any sort of comfort in the back of the pocket.
39:18And I think that's what led to him not attacking deep down the field.
39:23He just took off, dude. He just would scramble at any hint of pressure or any time he felt uncomfortable.
39:29He would just take off and run. And so, yeah, to your point, again, with the Mack Holland stuff, Seattle was just honing in on Romandre.
39:38Yeah, they were teeing off. And I tweeted out today.
39:42I was like, is this an all-time piano on the back game from Stevenson?
39:46Because when I was doing the research for this game, I was like, can't see the chart fully.
39:53There we go. But, yeah, I was like, is this – this has got to be an all-timer.
39:59Like, this is bad. Like, the EPA was bad.
40:02A negative .447. That's terrible. Terrible, terrible, terrible. A 55.6% stuff rate.
40:06Now, yes, like I mentioned, some of that was blown up out of the gate.
40:11He didn't really have a chance on some of those because it just felt like it was like, nope, we're going to
40:18run straight up the ass to the center over and over and over.
40:23But, I mean, a negative 32.5 rushing yards over expectation?
40:26That's absolutely brutal. I can't – I can't put into words how bad that is.
40:31Now, I've been of the Henderson is mispriced all year when Rwanda Stevenson is like 11th and a 12th round pick.
40:38But, I don't know if not playing a game often boosts a player's dynasty value or dynasty projection.
40:45But, it feels like Travion Henderson not playing did that because there's no one else that has juice on that offense.
40:52And whether it's design deep plays, a Texas route, a wheel route, something in motion, never seeing Hunter Henry in the backfield
40:59running routes, anything like that I think opens the pathway.
41:03And then just straight up being more explosive, it felt like Rwanda Stevenson was running in mud, like he couldn't get going.
41:10Because, Rwanda, when you get him going – I was listening to the Long View with Ben Gretsch and Jacob Sanderson, and
41:18they were talking about how Rwanda is way more of a boom or bust type player than people really want to admit that he is.
41:26He is. Now, he made a great catch on the sidelines.
41:30He swung it out to him. He had the nice stiff arm.
41:34That looked like a very remandere play, but look how many yards he needed to get going.
41:40Someone in his face. He didn't look like the type of running back that on contact would really push the pile.
41:47There were some runs that looked like someone got near him and he just was a quarterback, and he just kind of fell down.
41:55It's very odd to me. Like, I know he's afraid to lose the ball, but that's what it looked like to me now.
42:03Yeah. He still had his points. He outscored Christian McCaffrey this week, which, hey, got it like that, you know, as a round of 11 pick.
42:12You'll do that. Well, you know what's crazy is last year, Trevion Henderson out-targeted.
42:16Ramondre Stevenson, I believe by four or five targets.
42:19So all the conversation about the Henderson didn't play and Ramondre snatches chain and all that, yes.
42:25But it's not like Ramondre is going to maintain the 6-7 target, this 18% target share type role.
42:31So if you have Ramondre in Dynasty, I'm not looking to sell because on most of my Dynasty teams, like I can't.
42:39And not only that, you're not really going to get to.
42:43But I'm wondering now if I just completely misread the Trevion thing.
42:47I don't expect Trevion Henderson after this game to just come in and bell cow it and kind of be what I
42:54think people expected, drafting him at the 104-105 in rookie drafts.
42:58But, again, not playing just... I don't know, not playing helped him.
43:02I don't know. That's how I'm reading this. It was really bad.
43:06It was really bad. I don't think the role...
43:09I think Henderson was mispriced mostly because I don't think the role limitations are totally baked in.
43:15But the chance of Ramondre keeping him off the field because he just outplayed him, I think that narrative is gone already
43:22after one week, regardless if it was Seattle. Because I talk a lot about hashtag not a film guy.
43:29But at the same time, I think what I watched and when I watched it back looks even worse than what the data shows.
43:37All right. Well, let me go ahead and pass you your anxiety pill.
43:41I got you, bro. All right. So, two things.
43:44First off, you obviously as a Ravens fan, you know how with Derrick Henry it takes like 10 to 15 yards for him to get chugging along?
43:54Yeah. So, yes. That's how I've always felt about Ramondre.
43:57But do you notice the differences in him getting to that burst of speed?
44:02It's not like when Derrick Henry hits the hole.
44:05He's still in giddy up mode. By the time Derrick Henry hits the hole, you already don't want to tackle him because he's going to push you forward.
44:14Ramondre looks like when he gets to that line of scrimmage, if you breathed on him too hard, he would go down.
44:22Like, Ramondre isn't like this power back. At least it didn't look like it in the Wednesday game.
44:28And I don't know if it's just like week one of the year.
44:32It was a long training. I don't know. But at 227 pounds, I would expect more threat for yards after contact or
44:40being able to avoid or gain more yards before the line of scrimmage when contacted.
44:45And he just doesn't have it. I've never seen like a bigger back need to be an in space back.
44:52What? That's that's not this athletic. Well, and you're not wrong about that.
44:56Ramondre really has always relied on his vision and stuff.
45:00He's never really ran behind his pad. So he'll fall forward.
45:03But he's not going to be a huge missed tackle force kind of guy.
45:08Now, the one thing I will say about the Travion being an Ohio State fan and watching Travion for most of the
45:16career, I am fully in the camp that Henderson will never be able to take on a full workload.
45:22He will forever be a part of a committee.
45:25His body will just not allow him to hold up to the work.
45:30Secondly, Stevenson reminds me a lot of Charbonnet in the fact that like I don't see Stevenson ever giving away that role because he's just old reliable.
45:39When you want three yards, he's going to get you three yards.
45:43He's not going to get you four. He's not going to get you negative, but he's going to get you three.
45:50And so with that reliability comes consistency and being able to stay ahead of the chains.
45:55And Henderson, which we've talked about with some of the past blocking chops and stuff like that, that's where Stevenson just kind
46:03of becomes old faithful and will always stay in that rotation.
46:07Now, I do agree with you. They miss the explosiveness of what Henderson can bring to the party.
46:13If Henderson was running some of those routes out of the backfield instead of Hunter Henry, it would have forced the defense
46:20to play a little bit more honest and be able to play the gap a little bit more wide zone and stuff like that.
46:28But with Ramondre, they just were not worried about the speed.
46:32They were not worried about losing containment. And so you're right.
46:36They were able to just kind of bottle him up.
46:39But Ramondre remains the poster boy for our fat ass running backs, right?
46:44Yes. Get the t-shirt. I don't think that role diminishes.
46:47He is going even when Hindo is 100%, you're still going to see a good 60-40 split, 60% being on Ramondres, in my opinion.
46:55Yeah. The thing is, it's the passing work that I just don't think.
47:00You got a block to get the rock. I understand that.
47:03But when you're looking at a team that can't get explosives, I mean, at some point, you don't have a choice.
47:11And again, they already used Henderson for more targets than Ramondre last year.
47:15So it's not like this is like a trend that we didn't see.
47:19It happened. And we saw what he can provide when they stopped running it straight into their center's ass with Ramondre when he was out.
47:28It's just is Vrabel going to be willing to maybe split that share up a little bit?
47:34I'm wondering, is it just an LDD situation in coming for Ramondre out of sheer necessity?
47:39They don't have anything else. We saw it. Unless all of a sudden, Dobbs ends up becoming a burner, they actually use Kyle Williams.
47:47So I didn't even bother looking up what Kyle Williams ran.
47:51He played. He did. He was out there. But you want to talk about the sacrificial X?
47:57That's exactly what Kyle Williams was. He was just stuck on the outside, ran very few routes.
48:03Nice separation score. Six routes. Yeah. So like to your point, I mean, they're missing it, man.
48:08As I said, I charted the Patriots and it was just a ton.
48:13I mean, they were living in 12 personnel. Now, sometimes you're not going to label it 12 personnel because it actually gets labeled as two back.
48:22But again, Hunter Henry in the backfield. Raritan was a down tight end.
48:26They were even in trips formations with them. Hunter Henry as the slot receiver and Raritan as the down tight end.
48:33So like, yeah, the speediest person that they were putting out on that field when AJ Brown got hurt was Demario Douglas.
48:41And that's gross. You're right. So that's why I'm thinking like they I think Henderson becomes that like dreaded weapon.
48:48He has to. And I think I think it's that they need something.
48:52Yeah, they need juice. So I'm with you on that.
48:55So I don't know what we're going to see in terms of Trevion.
49:00Oh, trade value. Did you see the meme of somebody sent out?
49:04It got over a million impressions, but it was a shoe attached to a table going in like a little circle.
49:11And I said, Ramondre goes right up the middle.
49:14Oh, yeah. Yeah. It takes like five seconds to go around the circle.
49:18Yeah. Yeah. And it's funny. I was trolling. I was trolling.
49:22Jacob is he posted about Ramondre. Ramondre and I posted us like, you know, you you tweeting this won't make Trevion better.
49:30And then by the end of the game, I was like, I'm going to regret that.
49:35Yeah. Like I was so going to regret that.
49:38But yeah, the 14 points wasn't via touchdown. But it's not even like in 2025.
49:43Ramondre like ran away with the goal line work.
49:46Like his carries inside the five wasn't like a 60 percent.
49:50Well, and both teams basically were like non-existent in the red zone.
49:54Yes. Well. Last night I'm talking about. If you look at last year, his runs inside the five and inside clicking too
50:02many things, his runs inside the 10, like it wasn't really.
50:05There's one per game. Like it's not it's not exactly like they lined them up and we're like, you're the goal line guy.
50:13So. Only a 9.1 target share last year, 50 percent inside the five.
50:18It's not like he's just straight up the bell cow goal line back either.
50:22So you need this kind of. Target his yard after the carry weren't even that good.
50:28Like it's such fake production, but it's gross. RB to flex production.
50:32Why did they trade booty or booty? I don't know, dude.
50:36I don't know. I don't know. I've been trying to figure it out.
50:40I thought, well, it was clearly they were going to clear the way for like Kyle Williams on the outside or was
50:48clearly they're going to make Romeo Dobbs like that guy.
50:51Look at the money they spent what they traded booty away.
50:55I don't. I don't know. I honestly don't know because they could have used them a big time.
51:01Yeah, it's man in hindsight. Right. But that's one that I feel like they're largely regretting, especially.
51:07Do you think AJ Brown's only going to be out for the four weeks or you lean in more towards six?
51:14I think. Well, I think I think he's out the four weeks, but I think his production suffers for like six or like two or three weeks after.
51:23So it's going to feel like he's out longer than that.
51:27But you're right. I think I think they're going to miss him.
51:31I don't I don't know. So I'm looking at the trades for trivia and Henderson and they're kind of just what some of those like mass.
51:40But like, look at this from today. Bursette, Terry and Pollard for Will Howard and Trevion.
51:45How after watching that game on Wednesday, are you like, I'm going to trade away Henderson?
51:51This is what I'm going to do. Don't do that.
51:54Bye. It like if if that's the bye. Jackson Smith and Jigba Ramond Ray.
51:59So you get both Trevion for Drake London, Dylan Sampson and Quinshawn Judkins in a 27 one.
52:05I mean, I'll just take I'll just take JSN.
52:08And that's a free JSN, but not a free JSN.
52:11But I mean, again, how do you look at that game on Wednesday and be like, I got to sell these guys.
52:19So I'm I'm more on the whole about the I didn't think about the explosive point.
52:24Like, I really appreciate that side of the argument about the Patriots just being desperate for explosives.
52:30Now, again, let's give credit where credit's due. Seattle is a top three defense, right?
52:35Right next to the Texans and potentially the Broncos for overall defensive unit.
52:39But even still, like, I mean, damn, if the Patriots want to have any chance of returning back to the Super Bowl,
52:47they better figure out how to get more explosives on the field because they can't just go mano a mano against teams like that.
52:55And that's what that's why I'm saying it has to be Henderson.
52:59I think it has to be Henderson. I just I don't know who else.
53:04Oh, I grabbed the wrong Henderson. I didn't even know there was another Travion.
53:09I forgot that we have defensive players in Data Suite 2.0.
53:12So IDP players. There you go. But yeah, obviously, the explosives came from Travion.
53:17The yards per carry, the EPA. Explosive run rate significantly better.
53:21Yards before contact per attempt. Like Travion was making it happen last year.
53:25He had to make it happen last year. So yeah, I'm very much more in that camp, right?
53:31So we'll see. I'd like to see that. I'm willing to bet you see that route run percentage bump way up over 36.
53:39We're probably looking at like a 50% plus rate.
53:42Right. And now they have a whole month to try to figure out where they're going to go with their targets now
53:50that they're down their wide receiver one. Yeah. Because they have to.
53:54They don't have a choice. So we talked about Dobbs.
53:57Let's talk about the price stuff. Because I've been very, I'll say mild on the price stuff.
54:03I didn't like the Jadarian. Oh my God. The Jadarian price 102.
54:07I didn't like the 102 stuff. Like I thought in rookie drafts.
54:11But looking back on it, it's like, well, the rest of the class.
54:16I mean, maybe. He looks fantastic. Yes, he did.
54:19He looked great from run one. I thought it looked great.
54:22The EPA looks great. Great success rate. Explosive runs.
54:26Very. If he was wearing a number nine, I would have thought it was Walker.
54:31Yes. But he looked more decisive than Walker, which I think is something that's very important.
54:36He looked way more decisive. One cut go. I thought that looked great.
54:41And I think that you could only see, you know, the snap rate go up.
54:46Only 10 carries, which seems a little odd to me.
54:49But 10 yards over expectation, I thought is pretty good for a rookie in his first game.
54:55Muy nice. My teeth bring me up. Die Schuhe sind zu Schuhe sind viel zu eng.
55:00portrayst du immer noch diese spitzen Dinger? Ich meine, sind nicht alle Laufschuhe so geformt?
55:05Nein. Du brauchst Altras. Altra? Altras sind geformt wie deine Füße.
55:09Mit einer fußförmigen Zehnbox. Einfach viel bequemer. Bezwinge deinen Lauf mit Hallenziehen.
55:13Okay. Das klingt traumhaft. Mehr Komfort, Kraft und Dynamik.
55:16Alles durch die Passform. Altra versteht das einfach. out there.
55:20I was more impressed with the two receptions. One of them was very difficult.
55:24He got smacked on one of them and held onto the ball.
55:28I think that's where the dynasty value is really going to uptick, really going to have a chance to pay off.
55:36But Seattle's still doing the funny money stuff, and that's what I really wanted to talk to.
55:41So they had two drives inside the 20. First drive, Helani comes in for back-to-back carries.
55:47Took all four snaps in the late third. Second, red zone drive.
55:51Seahawks get weird, as you pointed out. First play, Shahid in the backfield, holding.
55:56Then Price, play-action pass. Next play, delay of game.
55:59That was the Emmanuel Wilson in the back field where Locke is checking his play sheet?
56:04Insane. But he has a backup. Then an incomplete pass to JSN.
56:08Now third, JSN in backfield. Incomplete pass to him.
56:11So they were like going out of their way to do the rotational back thing.
56:16And that's with Wilson and Helani, let alone when Carbonet ends up coming off.
56:21Are they still going to do this? Probably. They've only told us that that's what they were going to do.
56:28But I think he I think he looked really explosive.
56:31And I think for him for his dynasty value to really pay off from rookie drafts, et cetera, where he was getting drafted in startups.
56:40I think you need a little bit more than this current target share.
56:44But I'm willing to accept that I'm I'm probably going to end up leaning more side of that.
56:50I was incorrect in my assessment and how low I was.
56:54But what were your early feelings? I'm going to go look up the ADP for him.
57:00So so Price is one of those names I started coming around to really late in the offseason, especially in redraft leagues
57:07and stuff with this like fifth, sixth round price tag.
57:11Like you talked about Price looked really great in the limited reps that he did get.
57:16He's the type of running back that literally he gets the ball and you would think that your your speed of your
57:23video goes from one to one and a half X speed.
57:27Like he just he shoots so fast. And to your point, he is much more decisive.
57:33He's not as lateral of a mover as Kenneth Walker, meaning he gets he goes for negative yards like K-9 does.
57:40But instead, he gets north and south real quick, fast and in a hurry.
57:45When I saw that, dude, I really had the inkling that the cream is going to rise to the top on this one.
57:52Add into the fact that Sam Darnold is now hurt and now Seattle's eventually is essentially having to scrap their playbook for
58:00the beginning of the season and start over. Right now, you've got to prepare with Drew Locke at the helm.
58:07And so while I think they want to rotate names like Helani and even Emmanuel Wilson, I don't think Jadarian Price's talent
58:14is going to allow them to do that. Of course, we're worried about the inside the 20 work primarily like wishing he
58:22would get target or carries and stuff. But how about glass half full?
58:26How about the fact that he was inside? He was out there getting snaps while they were inside of the 20 on a couple different pass plays.
58:35Now, the plays didn't go to him, but one of them was a play action pass.
58:41They faked the handoff to him and he ran a route.
58:44And the second one was another one where he ran a route and then, you know, eventually somebody else or JSN, I
58:52think, came in and played backfield, whatever. But the point is, I was actually encouraged, like you said, he got a couple of catches.
59:00He was in there on pass down work and that was early, early down pass action work, right?
59:06So if anything, the biggest thing that worried me is, and I'd have to triple check, but I don't think he played a single third down snap.
59:15And so that's where, you know, you could argue that his role and maybe their worries about him as a pass blocker
59:23could, you know, hinder his ability to really break out.
59:26But if he figures it out, if some training and practice allows him to feel more comfortable in that third down role,
59:34you could see even more of an expansion as well.
59:37And the last point to all this, I mean, we still don't know when Carbonet Charbonnet is coming back.
59:44So, I mean, if we're talking about not to like late October or early November, I mean, sky's the limit.
59:50That gives, that gives Jadarian price basically a month and a half to two months worth of time to give the Seattle
59:58coaching staff no choice but to ride the hot hand.
60:01Yeah. And we kind of knew that, but I think what a lot of people are looking for in week one was the usage.
60:09So that's why I think the usage is really important.
60:13Why it's really important to really go through the sequence of plays and how they were bringing them in, bringing them out and personnel.
60:21People were really hoping new play call or different result.
60:24It doesn't look like that's the case, but I think all things considered, I think Price had a really good showing.
60:31You should feel really good. Really good the rest of the year.
60:36He had 70% success rate on the ground in those 10 attempts and a 5.2 yards per carry.
60:42I mean, that's damn electric, man. Kind of crazy that they didn't use them more.
60:47Exactly. I don't know what they were keeping in mind.
60:50They lost their quarterback and fell down by 10 points.
60:54So like game script also didn't necessarily favor Jadarian Price either in his first game as a rookie.
61:00True. You're right. Yep. It'll be nice to see week two when they kind of get a full game plan, but you're right on that.
61:08All right. Let's I don't have a lot Wolverine.
61:11Yeah, we're going to talk about Wolverine here right away.
61:15I don't have a lot to talk about on the Thursday game.
61:19I don't have a whole ton. I felt like there was way more to talk about in the Wednesday game, but can
61:26we just talk about George Kittle and how absolutely ridiculous this man is?
61:31Bro. He disgusting what he went out there and did.
61:34I think it was disgusting. 17 routes. He had five targets targeted early.
61:38He had the early drop was separating 0.29 targets per route run.
61:43I mean, nine yards a reception I thought was really good played 46.9 really 47% of the half and remember San Francisco
61:50kind of went up big there after a while when he was out there he ran routes a 47.2% route share 24.7%
61:58air yard share 20% first read target share it's like they went out there and were like, George, we're getting you the ball.
62:05Don't worry. He was an animal blocking like he was just he was just straight up George Kittle week one playing an international game.
62:14Um, he looked explosive on the screen. He looked every bit of just George Kittle and there was somebody that commented on
62:21one of Scott Barrett's videos, one of the fantasy football daily and I really wanted to go back and find it.
62:28That was just calling him an idiot for saying like, oh, Kittle's not playing week one.
62:34Why would you tell him as a draft pick here?
62:37He is and I wanted to go and find it, but the time and I'm not that petty and whatever else, but
62:44I mean, I am, but regardless, but Kittle was one of my favorites all off season.
62:50You could get them really cheap in startups. It doesn't look like anything.
62:54Anything has changed for him. It's disgusting. This is one of those I'm super passionate about.
63:00So, uh, one of my fellow charters on the fantasy points team, Bill O'Brien, we have a podcast that we do on Spotify called advanced grid iron.
63:09And one of the things that we talked actually after Kittle's injury in January, Kittle was very upfront that he was getting
63:16a specific surgery that would allow him to come back by week one.
63:21And it just felt like nobody cared about that.
63:24Like it got brushed under the rug and everybody.
63:27I remember even Theo Grimminger when he was a part of the crew was talking about how like there's a good chance
63:34Kittle could be out eight to 10, you know, the first eight to 10 games of the season.
63:41And I kind of stand pat on the fact that I felt like I both trusted what Kittle was saying that he
63:48was going to do the early surgery and come back.
63:51And that's what we got. Now, did I expect him to be playing at the level that he was playing at?
63:59Absolutely not. Max Toscano retweeted a video of George Kittle who just absolutely bodied Byron Young in the run game like you were talking about.
64:07Just tossed him aside like a small child. Like absolutely disgusting.
64:11And when we were preparing for the show today, I was doing some, you know, I was diving into the data suite
64:18looking for stribbling notes in the first quarter. I couldn't believe that stribbling and Mike Evans, they both like ran like eight eight routes a piece.
64:27And I thought, oh, this is super great for stribbling.
64:31And then I look and Kittle actually ran more routes than the both of them at nine.
64:36Yeah. Fresh off of an Achilles. And I was like, dude, Kittle's out here out.
64:41Basically, they leading team in routes run. And he, you know, like I said, went down with the Achilles injury in January.
64:49It's just astonishing stuff. Yeah, it was unreal. He's all systems go bye, bye, bye.
64:54Like, get out there, go get them. Yeah. Again, people really want to see a player come back off of injury if
65:02they've held them all offseason, couldn't trade them. Somebody out there might want to get rid of them.
65:08Look at his ADP availability, like 35% of the time he's available at the 10, at the, at the 10, 12.
65:15Very, very available in tight and premium leagues, which seems kind of, kind of like a dynasty miss price.
65:21It's like, look at his value over, uh, just over the last three months spiked up a little bit towards September.
65:28But I mean, yeah, if you bought it paid off, I think it's all systems go and speak about stripling.
65:35Like he was out there a lot, a lot.
65:38And I actually feel bad. The, apparently the Achilles is intact, but two injuries in that game, he ran a ton of
65:46routes and still, uh, didn't net the target. Um, I'm blanking on the wide receiver that scored, um, DeMarcus Robinson.
65:53Got a target. Yeah. Got a target before stripling.
65:56Yeah. On that first drive after he was out there, you know, and he was blocking while doing all the things that
66:03they talked about with stripling, but, uh, obviously the injury, it's not good and we don't really know what it is and
66:11we're not gonna until it just plays out because reports in San Francisco, no one caught the Shanahan extension.
66:17I don't know. Very, very strange, uh, reporting. It's everything.
66:20Can't trust anything. Uh, but this really sucks for stripling.
66:24Um, I, I don't want to go into like just sell, but like we've seen, we've seen these San Francisco receivers just
66:31get off to these kinds of starts and just not, I don't know.
66:36I don't want to call it like the Ricky Pierce all thing.
66:40And, but man, this is the last thing that I think could have happened for him.
66:45Um, but I think this speaks volumes for Debo.
66:48So I'll let you go on stripling and then we'll, we'll work that into Debo.
66:53Well, I'm still, I'm still holding stripling as far as the dynasty value.
66:58I think what we saw in the limited action from stripling is, and even from Kittle, that is more than you could
67:05have ever hoped for going into the early part of the season.
67:09My, my thought about stripling and I wrote it here in the, in the note sheet was like, I was, I was
67:17buying the stripling hype and the potential usage, but I was genuinely worried.
67:21Like how could a rookie hold up in an NFL season with this kind of usage never in a million years that
67:29I think it would happen this early, but this was always a little bit of the worry about just somebody, you know,
67:36going from the college level straight into the NFL and being targeted like eight, nine, 10 times in the preseason like that is ungodly levels of work.
67:45Right? So this is, this is one of those, we kind of saw the usage and the, the potential with stripling.
67:53If anybody is panic selling for cheap, or if you've already got a share, I would happily just kind of hold and
68:00wait to see what happens because at the end of the day, attrition is going to set in on San Francisco.
68:07Right now your leading receivers are DeMarcus Robinson, Mike Evans, and Debo Samuel.
68:12And so if you're betting on the three of those guys to stay healthy for the duration of this, of the season,
68:19I would advise you spend your money in different ways.
68:23So I'm still, I'm still interested in the potential of stripling, um, you know, even having like a strong future there to
68:30your point about the Ricky Pierce all thing. If stripling ends up getting shot though, I'm out.
68:36I'm definitely, I'm definitely out. Yeah, let's not. Yeah.
68:39Let's, let's hope you don't get mugged for your watch.
68:42Right. Not, not good, but you'll get the trades of Max Claire and stripling for Debo, who we're going to talk about
68:50here in a minute, but then look at there, there it is again, a 28 one.
68:55I would do that immediately. I would do that.
68:58What about the 27 second? I saw that up there.
69:02How do you feel about that? I think I want to hold.
69:06Thank you. That's what I said. I'm not going to go out and buy for that, but I think I'm going to hold for that.
69:14I think I'm going to hold. Okay. Um, not going to go by don't want to add more a player.
69:21That's obviously so much cheaper and rookie drafts. I mean, I got called out because I said I wouldn't draft him until like the fourth round, right?
69:30I got called out for that. I did end up grabbing them a little bit later in second round, but I don't
69:38want to pay a 27 two for him. Now when those 27 seconds are going to be so valuable towards the end
69:45of the year to go and get a fat ass running back off of somebody, but I would that 28 one is staring at me.
69:54Like it's just, it's looking back at me singing to me a siren song.
69:58If you would like, I, that's, that's what I want.
70:02So if somebody is that excited about the usage, we could do that.
70:06The player that I thought benefited like the most was Debo.
70:10Uh, I don't think a lot of people had Debo pegged to somebody that was going to come out and Excel, but
70:17boy, did they want to use him seven targets, three inside the 20, which I thought was interesting.
70:24Uh, I got a couple stats for you, a three yards per out run.
70:28Now we know that's not going to hold up in the data suite era.
70:33That's only ever happened one other time with Debo Samuel.
70:37That was in 2021 with that insane year that he had, but three yards per hour would be the second highest in the data suite era.
70:45It will regress, but for context, he said at a 1.73 last year with the commandos and a one in a very
70:53nice 1.69 and his last year in San Francisco, that's what kind of the fat jokes kind of started.
70:59I thought this was a good sign for Debo 50% from the slot, a 6.3% in the backfield.
71:05This kind of looked like the old school Debo Evans in the big X that we've seen from Jennings and Iuke over the last couple of years.
71:15It kind of just looked like the plug and play Shanahan offense.
71:19Now it came out after because of course it did that McCaffrey was battling cramps.
71:24So that's kind of maybe why they were leaning a little bit heavier on the Debo stuff in the screen game and
71:31in the backfield and it kind of would play into the Caelan Black usage a little bit, especially going into the game.
71:39They were talking about him being McCaffrey. That is being a little bit banged up because of course he is.
71:46He's a 30 year old running back. I was very into the Debo Samuel thing and I think this is definitely something that can continue.
71:54I know you were talking about how he looked like he had the burst and it looked like he had that energy again.
72:02I want to see what he looks like in week six, but I'm very, very happy with, with any share and he's
72:09probably the player that I'm looking towards the most over the next couple of weeks to really see if this usage is
72:17going to stick because I mean usage in week one doesn't tell you the whole story, but you kind of get an
72:24idea of, of how they want to use them.
72:27Well, and we've been joking about the potential about Debo being the real RB to in San Fran.
72:34Right. And we actually got a glimpse of that.
72:37You commented on me talking about kind of the vibes, if you will, around Debo and just watching the tape and dude, the body language was amazing.
72:46Like to see the excitement just kind of like pouring out of his body, bro.
72:51He had that 12 yard handoff and he jumped up with such excitement.
72:55And I'm telling you, like I could feel through the TV screen that he was just like, I'm back.
73:02Like that excitement to be back home. You could feel it.
73:05And the fact that he, he plays for a coach like Kyle Shanahan that knows how to use them.
73:12I'm right there with you. Like totally in the excitement.
73:15We can kind of circle this back. We talked about AJ Brown at the beginning for a contender.
73:21If this Debo usage continues forward and we get him as a slot run, you know, Russia role in the red zone,
73:29I would ask you, why would I go pay for an AJ Brown?
73:33If I could pay half the price for a Debo, you know?
73:37So that's right. I'm, I'm fully in, in on the Debo revival season, if you will.
73:43It, it put Debo on the list of like players that I could buy later as a contender, which is, I think
73:50a list that every dynasty manager needs to have.
73:53Uh, it's keeping an eye on a player, which you can do in the fancy points front office.
74:00You can put them on there as a target and it'll track them for you across the entire front office in every
74:07page, any trade and ADP rankings, et cetera. So you can keep an eye on him, uh, which is very handy tool for dynasty managers and redraft managers.
74:17Let's not get them mistaken, especially, um, if you're a little thin at wide receiver.
74:22Uh, I thought the user was interesting. The thing that really stuck out to me was the play he scored on.
74:29Which it feels like the Cree, the, the kind of creatability that Purdy has lacked a little bit in connection.
74:36Now, some of that could have been Kittle last year being out and Tonjas who actually got hurt in this game as
74:43well, which could speak to how often Kittle had the play maybe, but that game was kind of in hand there towards
74:51the end and they still ran them out there, but the play where it kind of broke down and Purdy escaped and
74:58found Debo wide open, uh, in the secondary feels like that's kind of the, the wheelhouse for upside for him.
75:05So I'm, I'm digging it for sure. He's on the list of like potential veterans to buy.
75:11I want to talk about the Caitlin black thing.
75:14Cause I saw running out of time. So the thing with Adams is that I was just very sad.
75:20I don't think we charted him for a single play inside the tent, like very sad.
75:26This looked like a weird the first time I looked at Adams and I was like, Oh, he might be, it might
75:33be over, but also they show up to Australia way later than they should have hot as hell.
75:39Obviously it's Australia at there like noon, like my God.
75:43Bro. And then did you hear about them keeping the same sleep schedule?
75:47So waking up at like two in the morning and crap.
75:51Insane, insane, just dumb. That seemed really dumb, bad all around.
75:55And it looked like it showed there for everyone, but Kyron and Coram for some reason, the Kyron and Coram thing, just like it's eternal.
76:03Like we didn't have them on the show sheet.
76:06You're like, Oh, Kyron doesn't make it. It's like, it's just like, it's like Kyron goes out there for the first series and plods away.
76:15And then Coram goes out there for the next series and looks explosive.
76:19And then Coram gets all the work and then they hand the ball off to Kyron Williams when they get near the 20.
76:27It's like, all right. So it's just like the same rotation it's been for years.
76:32All right. Got it. Check. Everyone's good. Kyron would, Kyron was like actually became a sell for me, but it's purely contract related.
76:40Like they could get out of that contract next year.
76:43And they might have to with some of the vets they have.
76:47So...
77:02Einfach viel bequemer. Bezwinge deinen Lauf mit heilen Zehen.
77:05Okay, das klingt traumhaft. Mehr Komfort, Kraft und Dynamik.
77:08Alles durch die Passform. Altra versteht das einfach. Altra, stay out there.

77:36IONOS. I do want to talk about the Caelan Black stuff though because a lot of people that I really like talked
77:44about, I think it Hayden Wings posted that his dynasty value like skyrocketed and like, I don't know if it, I don't know if it did.
77:53I don't know if I would consider, um, skyrocketed, then we might have a problem.
77:58Yeah, he did have 14 attempts. Uh, he did pretty well, four and a half plus per carry, the 64.3% explosive rate,
78:05only 28.6% stuff, but I just felt like that offensive line was clicking.
78:10I thought the offensive line was clicking 3.5 yards per carry or yards before contact per attempt makes things look pretty good for you 43.8% of the snaps.
78:19He did run 30.6% of the routes, but the 2.9% target share, if they are just strictly giving him the carries to
78:27keep McCaffrey fresh, I don't care about this in terms of like McCaffrey's usage.
78:31Scroll back up there because you, you pointed out his yards, uh, before contact.
78:36Well, let's up a little bit more. Well, let's, let's highlight his yards after contact.
78:41Look at how green, it is before. And look at how red it is after contact.
78:47And he had literally zero missed tackles forced. All he did was fall forward.
78:51As soon as he got hit, he was able to fall forward for that little yard that you see there after contact.
78:59And that's about it. While the, the usage was surprising, did not expect, you know, a third round rookie who didn't make
79:06the draft combine to get 14 carries and outpace McCaffrey's 10.
79:10Well, I think that coming. I think that's strictly because every time San Francisco drafts a running back like that, they don't get to play the games.
79:19So the fact that one even got into the game, I feel, I just feel like the threshold was low for expectations.
79:27That's probably fair. But like, let's just point out the fact that like, bro, they're playing in Australia week one.
79:34Like, let's just kind of put that into effect.
79:37There was a, a lot of attrition setting in.
79:40You talk about CMC kind of dealing with cramps.
79:43We have no idea. I don't know anything about Australia when it comes to altitude or heat and humidity or any of
79:50those, you know, external factors that may, may or may not be affecting the body.
79:55So the, if, if this would have been 14 carries play, you know, right here in the United States, I'd probably hold
80:03a little bit more weight into it. But the fact it was an Australia game, literally complete, completely around the world.
80:10I need to see a little bit more before I'm getting into it.
80:14And especially after looking into the data suite and seeing the advanced metrics, that Kalon really just got what was blocked for him.
80:22I don't, I'm not clamoring over anything. And you started this conversation by saying his dynasty value and skyrocketed.
80:29The only reason his value should have went up is because he solidified the RB two spot over Jordan James.
80:35But if it's surpassed anything beyond that, I would start to debate that maybe we're in selling territory.
80:42I've, I was in the pure potential discord, checking things out like I always do.
80:47Cause Paul runs a tight ship over there and his great advice and has a very good community.
80:53And, um, we're already in the cell. Like there was already a big conversation on the, should you sell in there and
81:00in the fantasy points discord as well. And I think Jacob hit this on the head.
81:06If you took away every Christian McCaffrey carry that didn't result in a touchdown.
81:10Uh, so 301 carries vanishing into thin air. CMC would have scored 70.4 PPR points in 2025, right?
81:17Like that's still, he's still going to secure kind of that role.
81:21And the fantasy points data account tweeted Kyle Shanahan says every year, uh, that they want to get some carries off of Christian McCaffrey.
81:29And the problem is this, he's the skeleton key to unlocking an offense and put the defense in such a bind that
81:36if the game is actually competitive, they won't ever want to take him off the field.
81:42And it was four Niners offense in 2025 with McCaffrey in the field was a plus 0.156 where McCaffrey off the field
81:49would have ranked a negative 0.036 in EPA. Like that's insane differentials.
81:53Like McCaffrey is going to get that workload. He's going to get the value touches.
81:58I think as pure handcuff evaluation, I think you nailed it.
82:02And that's just probably what we're, what we're looking at with black, but yeah, the, the, the through the roof type stuff
82:10is not, um, let's not be hyperbolic. Basically. That's it.
82:13Like if you look at some of the Brian Thomas jr for Caitlin black, I think is a little insane.
82:20Um, that would be hyperbolic. I would take that.
82:23That's definitely hyperbolic. You're getting Dante Thornton and a 28 two for him.
82:27Like, I think that's kind of okay. Cause you're getting that too.
82:31Um, but like, what were you looking for? Really?
82:34Like the third, I think is crazy. Look at that.
82:38Stripling in black for a 27, one from yesterday.
82:41That's insane. That's, I think crazy. Where that's the cell territory.
82:45Like the Ted Hearst one. No, I don't want to do that.
82:49Um, the wandale and black for Barnard and a two.
82:52I think that's selling a little light. Can I just say something with the Ted Hearst one?
82:58Can we please not trade somebody where we saw what we wanted to see for something that we hope to see?
83:05Like, I don't, that's one thing about dynasty that absolutely drives me nuts.
83:09Like if, if Kalon black just solidified the RB two role and you know, he's a CMC handcuff, don't trade him for another lottery ticket.
83:18Your fourth round or third round pick that wherever you got him, that it's cashing in front of your eyes.
83:25So either hold or I don't know, just trade smarter, please.
83:29Yeah. And that's, that's what we want to help everybody do, right?
83:33That's the, that's the goal for us here. So we're running long, we're running long and with time, but, uh, that that's where we're at with those guys.
83:42Do want to point out that the T Ferg stuff is funny.
83:4672% of the routes, five routes run from out wide, 62, uh, 62%, three in line zero from the slot.
83:53But I mean, no targets. I just think it's kind of funny, uh, for, for, and he only ran 22% of the routes.
84:01And so, yeah, when that game got away from them, they were like, exactly.
84:06But that whole offense again, it looked slow and out of touch.
84:10And we, we briefly talked about Raritan, but I just want to point out that I thought all wheels up for me.
84:17The touchdown looked like just like the classic backside tight end leak out, forgotten about chip and go wide open, but he
84:25made the play that he was asked to make.
84:28So you can't take that away from him. He had a couple of welcome to the NFL type moments in the run
84:35game, but I thought he actually looked pretty good for a rookie tight end.
84:40That's maybe a little bit undersized in the run game.
84:43Uh, I thought, I thought it looked really well.
84:46So opportunity is definitely going to be there again.
84:49They're going to need, they're going to need playmakers.
84:53So that's going to do it for this week's show.
84:56So let us know what you guys think in the comments.
85:00Let us know what you guys are looking forward to.
85:03We are looking forward to going over what happens after Sunday.
85:07We're going to get the first full week. We want to talk over some stuff that we were really kind of looking
85:14forward to paying attention to, but we're at an hour and 22.
85:18We got to get out of here. Um, go check for Demarcato.
85:22Malik Davis is going to be having surgery. They've probably done for the year.
85:27I've been checking up on that as we're going here later this evening.
85:32He it's a hip problem. So very sad. I picked up Malik Davis like 20 times off waivers just to find out that now we're cooked.
85:40That means Javante Williams might lead all running backs and snap share this year for Dallas.
85:46He honestly, like, yeah, he actually might. But with that being said, data suite 2.0 is out.
85:52You can go and get your hands on that right now.
