0:25This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
0:30Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
0:33Monday morning August 31st. Welcome everybody to Fantasy Football Today.
0:36Adam, Dave and Heath here. Jamie joining us shortly and we are going to follow up on the Josh Jacobs situation with
0:43some final thoughts at least for now. And give you our risers and fallers.
0:47Guess what? Marshawn Lloyd's a riser and Josh Jacobs is a faller.
0:51Thank you very much for watching and listening, everybody.
0:54And we'll look at the latest average draft position as well.
0:57Heath. Yes. Did not unfortunately join us. Not your fault, but you were not on the show last night.
1:03So I'm very excited to get your thoughts on the Packers backfield.
1:07Heath, what are your thoughts on the Packers backfield?
1:09I'm very excited to get these thoughts on the Packers backfield.
1:13I'll say I was in bed when you sent me the text and so it would have been unfortunate if I had been on the show last night.
1:21No, I basically will start considering Marshawn Lloyd as soon as the clock turns to round six.
1:27I think he is right in that group of borderline RB2s that have the upside to be a high-end RB2 and have a significant amount of risk.
1:35I don't really want to draft Josh Jacobs, but if we get to the double-digit rounds and I'm looking for lottery tickets
1:42because my running back room is really weak, then I might take a swing on him because there's no guarantee.
1:48I mean, we might see him halfway through the season.
1:51So if we could just look on NFC where I can do the date range of drafts from yesterday.
1:57And some of those are going to be before the news.
2:00Some of them are going to be after the news.
2:03But it was 33 drafts. Josh Jacobs went 98th.
2:06And Lloyd went, let's see, as RB29 at 70 at 80th overall.
2:10Okay. Yeah. So that's. So I would say drop, drop Jacobs a round or two and move Lloyd up a round or two.
2:17And that's probably where they're going to go today.
2:20Because like you said, some of those, some of those happen in the morning.
2:24Yeah. I don't think it broke until three o'clock or two, two o'clock or whatever it was.
2:29Okay. Good morning, Jamie. I posted a poll. If you'd like to know about when should you draft Marshawn.
2:35When would you draft Marshawn? Yeah. I think I'm going to, I think no one's going to agree with me here, but go ahead.
2:43Yeah. First five rounds, 11%. This is of 2,200 votes as 11 hours ago.
2:47First five rounds, 11%. Round six through eight, 56%.
2:50Round eight or later, 28%. Not drafting him 5%.
2:53Okay. I had a, hi Dave. What's up, dude?
2:55I know Dave wanted to share his thoughts on Caleb Johnson and Marshawn Lloyd.
3:00I do know that you are wearing the same shirt you were last night.
3:04I was. You know what? I'm glad you pointed that out.
3:07I like this shirt and it, I think it looks good on camera.
3:11You know, it's different. I wear a lot of gray and blue and black and stuff like that.
3:17This is different. This is like kind of a, I don't know, teal-ish.
3:21All I did was wear it last night for the show.
3:24Like I put it on for the 20 minute podcast and took it off.
3:29So I was like, I'm going to re-wear it.
3:31I didn't know if anyone would notice, but nothing gets by Jamie.
3:35Have we met? Dave, what'd you want to tell us about Caleb Johnson?
3:39I have, I, uh, first of all, I did not notice that you were wearing the same thing, but I also don't watch the video live.
3:47Um, I, I went back and looked into my notes on both Caleb Johnson and Marshawn Lloyd, and I don't have a
3:54lot of positive things to say about Caleb Johnson.
3:57He's a gets what's blocked runner, tight hips, non-existent elusiveness, doesn't create much.
4:01So, so vision. The strength of his game is physical physicality.
4:04He's a definite fighter with the football. I didn't think he looked natural catching the ball.
4:09I don't think there's anything from the past year to suggest that anything's changed with him or his game.
4:15If you want to take them with a late round flyer, just in case he gets an opportunity at some point in green Bay, be my guest.
4:23But he stands out as somebody who would be a definite backup behind Marshawn Lloyd.
4:28If Jacobs doesn't come back and would split with Chris Brooks, I think Chris Brooks needs to be on the late round menu for everybody.
4:36As just one of those guys, double digit rounds, PPR leagues, half PPR leagues.
4:40He does have a track record of playing on passing downs.
4:43I think he will take that role. And I think he's got a chance if Lloyd misses time to eat into the rushing downs role.
4:51And of course, I'm going to draft Lloyd first, and I'm not taking him as high as you are, Adam.
4:57I think he's like round seven, eight. That's where I would take Lloyd.
5:01But I think Brooks is worth taking with a late round pick.
5:05And he's probably on the waiver wire on a bunch of leagues that have already drafted.
5:10So you could go to your waiver wire, see if he's there and pick him up before the season starts, drop your
5:17last player and see what you get with Brooks to begin the year.
5:21And if Lloyd doesn't last that long, then Brooks could end up being someone that you could use as a flex in season.
5:28Okay. I'll just make one last point because if you want to hear more on this, we did a bonus podcast about
5:3520 minutes where we talked about this situation in depth.
5:38Um, you know, I'm, I'm willing to take Marshawn Lloyd.
5:41I kind of look at him like Bejal Tootin and Jadarian Price.
5:45Although I just thought to myself, like, I don't know why I would take Lloyd over Price.
5:50I like the Packers offense better than the Seahawks offense, but Zach Charbonnet is on the pup list.
5:55So Price has, that's not a surprise, but I probably should take Price over Lloyd, but, but whatever.
6:01Um, that's kind of where I value him. And based on the rankings, I think it's kind of close to where Heath
6:08and Jamie value him right around that time. Yeah.
6:10Um, I looked at the players who were drafted around five and six last year and the year before based on fantasy pros, average draft position.
6:18And I would say about a third of them were a big difference makers.
6:23Last year you had my homes. You had Deandre Swift, Jamison Williams.
6:26I struggled to even put in that category, but he ended up, you know, pretty high in the rankings.
6:32Zay flowers, Travis Kelsey, George Pickens, Rasheed Rice. Those guys were drafted around five and six.
6:37Who else was DK Metcalf? DJ Moore, Cortland Sutton, Sam Laporta.
6:41Who was good. Uh, Xavier worthy, Devante Smith, Tedaro McMillan, David Montgomery, RJ Harvey, Isaiah Pacheco, Baker Mayfield, TJ Hawkinson, Calvin Ridley,
6:47Tony Pollard, Aaron Jones, Travis Hunter, Bo Nix, Jalen Waddle.
6:51Not all those guys were terrible, but some of them were just fine.
6:55And then the year before that is very similar.
6:57You had like CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson in that group, Dalton Kincaid and Kyle Pitts and George Pickens when he wasn't that good.
7:05And Zay Flowers when he was wide receiver 36.
7:08And, you know, and there were some great players too.
7:11But I think what I'm saying is there's a pretty good chance your round five pick is going to be bad.
7:17It just, unfortunately, I hate to say that to you.
7:20That's just what history shows us. So I'm not afraid to take a risk on a guy that I think could be
7:27really good just based on his opportunity. And that's what I wanted to share with you this morning.
7:33Well, it's opportunity and offense. I mean, those are the things you're buying because you can't be buying Marshawn Lloyd because he hasn't done anything yet.
7:41And he has a terrible injury track record. So you're buying opportunity, you're buying offense.
7:45And if those two things come together with the player being slightly above average, then you're going to get a good return on investment.
7:53If he's continuing to struggle with injuries, it's a waste.
7:56If he's not the best guy, as Dave just alluded to, maybe it's Brooks, maybe it's Johnson, then it's a waste.
8:02But going into it right now, there's a chance here for this player because of Jacob's situation.
8:07And as Dave pointed out last night, you may not be getting a full season of the situation because Jacob's could still play.
8:15So I think the price comparison is the most logical because of the Charbonnet potential return.
8:19So if you're looking at it as opportunity for both those guys is amazing.
8:24Team is potentially amazing. And there's this looming thing of, for both of them, at least potentially, another player that might be better than them coming back.
8:32Yeah. I guess the other point I wanted to make it, I think I made it, but it's just like, if you
8:39mess up your fifth round pick, you're going to be okay.
8:42And I would love to take Lloyd in the sixth round, by the way.
8:47That would be my preference here. But, you know.
8:49I don't think you have to take him in round five.
8:53I don't think, I mean, you certainly don't have to take him early in round five, but you might feel like late
9:00in round five when Tootin comes into play that now might be the time.
9:04And I would guess we're going to get something from the Packers today that kind of lays out, hopefully the questions are
9:11right, but hopefully lays out what they're thinking from their backfield.
9:14I hope so. You know, whether it's Lloyd, Johnson, Brooks all competing, whether it's, hey, we have full faith in Marshawn Lloyd
9:21that he's going to be our guy. You know, it'd be nice if they came out and said, this sucks for our
9:28team that we don't have our number one running back.
9:31We'll see if we get our number one running back back.
9:34But we feel very comfortable with this guy. Like, don't just say the group, say this guy, you know, come out, whether
9:41it's Guten Koest or, or, uh, or, or LaFleur saying we feel confident in Marshawn Lloyd or we traded for Caleb Johnson
9:48because we want him to be our guy. Like, at least, you know.
9:52Yeah. Well, I don't think they're going to say the last.
9:55I don't think they're going to say that either, but you know.
9:59Well, the only other thing I know about Lloyd is you can't triple stamp a double stamp.
10:04I think we've got a lot of good dumb and dumber potential team names here.
10:09If Lloyd, uh, really takes off now, a couple of updates for you.
10:13If you're in the FFT open. Well, you said we were going to talk about the passing game.
10:18I think that's very important for the Packers. Well, that's on our risers and fathers segment.
10:23Um, the, uh, FFT open leagues is over 400 of you in it.
10:27So fab is going to start soon, waiting for some of the other drafts to wrap up.
10:33And I think later on in the show, I'd like to just talk briefly about fab.
10:37And in that league, it's a little bit different.
10:40You can be a little bit more aggressive, but for those of you who don't know how to use fab, if you're
10:47doing, whether you're an FFT open or not, if you're doing fab for the first time, we'll talk about that briefly a little bit later.
10:55And for the leftovers league, our draft Heath, you ready, uh, ready for our draft.
10:59Oh, we have to do this again. It's been such a, you know, I I've been, I've been sharing a, uh, sharing
11:06a team with Lewis and Joey's FFT open draft.
11:09And it's been such a pleasure to share a team with somebody that's not you.
11:14Yeah. I I've, I've got the same thing going on with a couple of people I'm sharing leagues with.
11:19Um, but yes, our draft is, I believe Wednesday night.
11:23Do not send any more submissions. I will select the winners this week.
11:27Yeah, it's this week. Oh, it's usually the, the, the Wednesday before the season starts.
11:31I know, but the season starts in October this year.
11:34So got to do these drafts eventually. Uh, anyway, please don't.
11:38Your, uh, your copyright infringement. You still owe me money.
11:41For what? Taking the name of my leagues. Oh, the leftovers league.
11:44It was thrust upon me. Anyway, uh, please don't submit any more entries.
11:48I will pick them today and let you know if you want.
11:52And Heath, give me a quick FFT dynasty plug.
11:55Yeah, we are, uh, ramping up for tomorrow. We've been going through talking about like which things actually matter on Friday.
12:01We had breakouts to buy before the season begins.
12:04Cool. Marshawn Lloyd. Okay. Let's get into the risers and fallers brought to you by whoop, the wearable device that gives you
12:11personalized insights into your sleep recovery, your strain, and how daily choices may be influencing your overall wellbeing.
12:17I know Heath and Jamie, they've got their whoops on right now.
12:20And if you want to learn more, head to join.whoop, W-H-O-O-P.com slash FFT today.
12:25Uh, join.whoop, W-H-O-O-P.com slash FFT today. Okay. Risers and fallers.
12:28I also have their ADP over the last week on NFC.
12:31So he's got Marshawn Lloyd. We're good with that.
12:34We're good with that. Where exactly is your rank them?
12:3761. 61st. And where, do you know where at RB?
12:4025. Okay. Luther Burden. Boom. We're back. Okay. It's funny.
12:43I think I made reference to this. My first four managed redraft leagues, I drafted Sam Laporta.
12:48Um, I haven't gotten him since. My last three managed redraft leagues, I've drafted Luther Burden at pick 47, 49, and 50.
12:55Um, I'm, I'm pretty much back where I was though, um, earlier in the season at the three, four turn.
13:01And I said, whenever the, the, the round turns to round six, I will draft Marshawn Lloyd.
13:07As soon as it turns to round four, I will draft Luther Burden.
13:11Four. So, wow. So that's going to be ahead of who?
13:14Guys like McMillan and Garrett Wilson. Well, no, um, McMillan, I still have ahead of him burden.
13:19I have ahead of Garrett Wilson. Yes. Um, I've got him ahead of Vlad McConkey.
13:24Um, I've got him ahead of Terry, uh, Terry McLaurin's higher for me than he is for other people.
13:30Um, one of my fallers we're going to talk about, I just kind of swapped these two guys.
13:35So I don't know if you made a reference or not.
13:39I've gotten one spot ahead of Jalen Waddle. Yeah, sure.
13:42And also if you want to make a Devante Smith versus Luther Burden bet, you can pick the terms.
13:48I have Luther Burden behind Devante Smith. So are you saying you want to bet on Luther Burden to be better than Devante Smith?
13:55Okay. Not there yet. No. Yeah. I'm glad. I'm just glad we got everything settled on the other bet.
14:01And so you're fully committed and there's no way you're ever going to back out.
14:06I finally told my wife about it. So yeah.
14:08What did she say about that? She wasn't happy, but is she going to let you do it?
14:14Yeah. Yeah. I just, I don't think, I don't think any of us are going to be happy about it, but really
14:21at the very least, she's going to be plenty happy about it.
14:24She's going to let him say he's going to do it for the next three months at the very least.
14:31Yeah. Um, so the guys that I flipped in my rankings, I think I had them at 18 and 21 and now
14:37they're still at 18 and 21, but they just went back and forth.
14:41Um, Luther Burden and Emeka Buka. Um, I'm a little bit more concerned about a Buka's fitness early in the season than I am Luther Burden.
14:49And as we'll talk about with one of my risers, we can just connect this and I'll just talk about all my
14:56guys all at once before anybody else talks. Um, Chris Godwin was moved up for me and that could have moved down.
15:03And it sounds like, like with these older players, when you have the injury concerns, just the fact that they get to
15:10week one in good shape and looking good and looking like them old selves, um, is a little bit of a boost.
15:17So I'm feeling more confident in Godwin at least early in the season.
15:21Um, so Burden wide receiver, 18, a Buka wide receiver, 21, Godwin's up to wide receiver, 35.
15:26Okay. Dave and Jamie, I'm going to ask you who you like better, a Buka or Luther.
15:31Burden, but I'm going to do that after we take a break.
15:35We'll be right back with more risers. And then Dave's going to talk when he gets to his risers, he will talk
15:42about the Packers passing game as well. And we'll talk about the fallers, anything you need to know from preseason week three, a little fab talk.
15:50It's all coming up next on fantasy football today.
15:52I'm going to talk to you right now about Omaha steaks.

17:45I'm not over the whole shirt thing. I can't believe you noticed, Jamie.
17:49Very good. It's a good shirt. It's also not exactly the most muted color, so it's going to be very, it's going to stand out.
17:56Do you want to go change, Adam? Would that make you feel a little better?
18:01I feel like I look like toothpaste right now.
18:04Um, okay, back, so, a buka versus burden. He's got burden ahead.
18:08Dave, how about you? I still have a buka head, but it's much closer than it was earlier in the off season.
18:14Remember before a buka had the toe injury, I was all in on him.
18:19Thought he would break out and have a monster year.
18:22Maybe even be this year's JSN. I suppose that's still possible, but I'm worried about the injury lingering.
18:27I think Godwin, I like Heath's call that Godwin is a riser.
18:31I think his ADP is criminal. He's, he's healthy now.
18:34We know that he's got time in the bank with Baker Mayfield.
18:38Those two are seem to be on the same page and I would expect Godwin and maybe even Ted Hurst and maybe
18:45even Jalen McMillan and maybe even the running backs to keep that target volume a little bit down for a Mecca buka.
18:51I still think he'll be over seven targets per game, but I think eight is out the window.
18:57That being said, a buka like three spots ahead of burden in my receiver rankings.
19:02All of them top 50. I've got a buka, then Devante, then McLaurin, then burden and then Parker Washington.
19:07Don't forget about that guy, but they're all right.
19:10There is like top 50 picks for me and PPR.
19:13I guess I'll get Jamie's thoughts in a second, but before a book is groin injury, which apparently he's back at practice moving well, right?
19:21Toe toe. No, no, I'm sorry. Burden before burdens.
19:24Oh yes. My bad. Back at practice looking good.
19:27A buka, by the way, they're hopeful for week one for him.
19:30Um, did you have Adams and McLaurin, Dave ahead of burden?
19:34Yeah. Always. Yeah. Okay. Uh, I don't know about always, but right now I do.
19:38I can double check and see where I had them.
19:41Yeah. A few months ago. Get back to in 15 seconds.
19:45And Jim, look at those pictures, man. You guys like just fresh out of college.
19:49Those pictures. I love that. The picture of me was taken yesterday.
19:53Nuh, ah, yeah. Dave looks exactly the same. I don't know what you're talking about.
19:58I was born this way. The two things that are the same are Dave's mugshot face, everything since I met him and
20:05Adam wears the same shirt every day. Yeah. True.
20:07All right, Jamie, a buka versus burden. Uh, now that burns back at practice, I would take back at practice.
20:14I would take burden. Okay. All right. Okay. And I had Adams ahead of burden all off season long.
20:19Heath, did you see my, uh, tweet about Chris Godwin?
20:22No. Okay. Let's take a look here. This is the me dancing GIF as I never knew what this GIF was for,
20:29but now I know it's from when I'm able to draft Chris Godwin, 98th overall in a PPR league.
20:35Yeah. That's what I'm talking about, baby. Why do you say it the wrong way?
20:40Yeah, I think, uh, so I've got a new thing.
20:43Okay. I'm going to do is every time. Don't say GIF.
20:46No, every time you do something like this, I'm just going to move you to the bottom of the screen.
20:52Okay. Let's get back to your, well, no Godwin just to finish up on that right now, over the last week, Godwin's
20:59going 71st overall in between Carnell Tate and Cortland Sutton.
21:02Do you guys like Godwin better than those guys?
21:05Oh yeah. Yeah. Um, so I do, but I, it's 71st is a little, I haven't quite caught up to that yet.
21:12He's around five pick for me. Woo. Round five.
21:15Wow. Round six for me. But by the way, that's wide receiver 33.
21:19I don't know where he is in your rankings, but he's 30th for me.
21:23Okay. Um, all right. Uh, and then Alec Pierce and Quentin Johnston who are both over the last week on NFC, they're
21:30going about wide receiver 37 to 39. So right around DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman, Josh Downs, Michael Wilson, that group for Alec Pierce and Quentin Johnston.
21:38Why are they risers? And who do you like better?
21:41So Alec Pierce is back at practice. And, and, um, again, I, I'm not quite as optimistic that he's going to take
21:48on this massive target share this year as there was some speculation earlier this summer, but he is healthy and he should
21:54be, we, we kind of dropped him out of the top 100.
21:58He's firmly back in the top 100 right now.
22:01I actually have it ranked Godwin, then Pierce, then Quentin Johnston.
22:04And no, I'm not just raising Quentin Johnston because of one monster play.
22:08Although that was really cool. Um, I, I, what was really encouraging to me and it's just, listen, we're, we're nibbling at whatever we can get right now.
22:17But when they went to 13 personnel with Justin Herbert on the field in that game, Quentin Johnston was the wide receiver on the field.
22:25And I, we don't, I don't expect it will be the same guy every time they do that.
22:30And they're not going to do it as often as the Rams do.
22:34But I do think that, that that's a very good sign that when they did that in this game, he was on the field.
22:42So he'll at least be part of the plans in 13.
22:45Okay. Yeah. That, uh, was 64 yard touchdown to Johnston was definitely, uh, a note to chiefs fans.
22:51Y'all better watch out this year. A note to chiefs fans.
22:54Okay. Uh, there's a question from the chat from, uh, gray matters to me.
22:58What is the metric that they are leaning on burden so much?
23:02Where did Adam go? I can't buy it. The, the, the best, um, I think the best metric is that last year
23:09amongst wide receivers that had at least 50 targets, he was third in yards per route run.
23:14And the two that were better than him were JSN and Pukunakua.
23:18And then when you say, well, yeah, but it's only 50 targets.
23:22Well, DJ more and a Lama de Zaccheaus combined for 150 targets and they're gone.
23:26So he's not going, it's not like he's going to get 150 targets and have the third best yards per route run probably, but he might.
23:34Yeah. All right. Yeah. He's, he's really talented guy.
23:37And, um, yeah, and his coach loves him. Yeah.
23:40Okay. And I think he was second. Um, Jacob Gibbs has a really good yak, um, stat on Luther burden too.
23:46I think he may have only been second, second to only to Rashi rice in that metric.
23:51And as we know, rice has like a running back air yards share.
23:55So, yeah. Yeah. And I have a good yak stat, Dave, as we get into your risers here, it's about Christian Watson.
24:02So Christian Watson, since he entered the league, he averages his 4.8 yards after the catch per reception, which is amazing with
24:09a 16.1 yard a dot in that four season stretch.
24:12Watson has the highest yak per catch of any wide receiver with an eight, I of more than 14 yards, which is
24:19only 15 wide receivers, but it's just what he does.
24:22He, I think he's fifth in yards per target since 2022.
24:25Uh, so, so efficient. So you think all of the Packers other than Josh Jacobs are risers, Dave.
24:31I do. And I really am excited about the passing game.
24:34And I moved Tucker craft into the round five range because I think he's just an easy short area target for Jordan love to lean on.
24:42If the run game cannot get going, or if they want to just have a change up and we know what, what
24:49craft means in terms of efficiency for that offense and for his own numbers.
24:53And it sounds like he's going to be ready to go.
24:57And maybe there isn't going to be a limit on just how many snaps he plays to begin the season.
25:03So he's the one that I moved up, not necessarily the most, but the one that would get the most attention because
25:10I think he's a top 60 player. I didn't move Watson up that much, but I had him up pretty high.
25:16Anyway, he's a borderline number two, number three wide receiver.
25:19Golden is somebody I'm very excited about. If he's taking over the Romeo Dobbs role and if Romeo Dobbs had the highest
25:26target per route run rate for Jordan love, when there wasn't Josh Jacobs on the field over the last two years, then
25:33certainly there's an opportunity here for Matthew golden to have a big role.
25:37I'm a, I'm, I'm pretty bullish on him as like a round eight type pick.
25:42Is golden taken over the Romeo Dobbs role or is Christian Watson moving into the Romeo Dobbs role?
25:47And golden's taking the field stretcher, Christian, Christian Watson role.
25:50That's what I'm, it could be a mix of both of those things.
25:54And I think a lot of teams are going to try and do that with their top two receivers is mix and match what they're able of doing.
26:03And not anybody is going to be just an X or just a Z.
26:07And I, I do think that golden's just going to have an opportunity.
26:11I think both those receivers should be able to get north of six targets per game, but for, for Watson, as long
26:18as he's healthy, he could be around six and a half and this whole team could throw more and six and a
26:25half could be low for Watson and six targets per game could be low for, for Matthew golden.
26:30If you're watching on YouTube right now, I abs like this is exactly the dilemma for anybody using numbers, trying to project my mat of floor wide receivers.
26:39Cause if you look at the, at the CBS projections, it's, it's 88 targets for Christian Watson and 77 for Matthew golden.
26:46It's probably about 90 for Tucker craft. I mean, that's torture because it's a completely different offense now, Heath, or not completely
26:53different, but it should be, it's going to be altered if they can't run the football or even if they can run
26:59the football a little bit, they're going to have to come off of it.
27:04Unless Marshawn Lloyd is as good as Josh Jacobs has been.
27:07You have a run game. That suspect, you have a defense that might not be as good to start the season.
27:14And you have all this talk about maybe putting more on Jordan loves play before all this happened.
27:19And so now you're looking at it as we've been waiting for concentrated targets for this receiving core.
27:25And you're taking away 135 from last year. So I think even if you just give those three guys, four guys, you want to talk to craft it.
27:33Those four guys just increased opportunities. I don't think to his point, I don't think we're getting 120 plus for maybe even
27:40one guy, but I think you're going to see opportunities increase for all of them.
27:45And hopefully they're just as efficient for me. I go back to 2023 when Jordan love was a good fantasy quarterback and
27:52you had a defense that wasn't great. And you had obviously a run game that wasn't great because that was the last
27:58time as Dave referenced last couple of times. We talked about this the last six of seven years that Matt LaFleur has been the head coach.
28:06The run get there. A running back has been good.
28:10Well, 2023 was the year that it was not good in Aaron Jones final season.
28:14My favorite Packers receiver based on costs is Jaden Reed by a mile.
28:18And I love him. He's my favorite sleeper. After all this stuff has unfolded of any position, because the value that he
28:25is right now, it's probably going to rise because I think everybody's going to recognize that they're going to throw more, but
28:32love him better than love him a lot better than a lot more than golden.
28:36Uh, I think there's a huge opportunity for him because as we saw when he was healthy, he's going to get carries now.
28:43And so that's going to be, I think a big plus for his profile, which is what we saw in 2023.
28:50If he stays healthy, that's a big thing for him.
28:53If he stays healthy, because he has a hard time staying healthy, his last 23 games where he's had at least five
29:00targets, very small number, at least five targets, 13 and a half PPR points per game or more in 15 of those 23.
29:07And he averages 16.1 PPR points over that span.
29:10Give him opportunities. He is going to smash. He is going to destroy his ADP.
29:14I'll do you one better on that. So in 10 career games with at least six targets, 10 plus PPR points in
29:21all 10, 13 plus and six of the 10, seven career games with seven or more targets, 15 plus PPR points in
29:28six of the seven and green Bay. I went back and looked at every single one of these games.
29:34They had a hard time running the ball in six of those games.
29:38And Jaden Reed just was able to pick up some of the slack.
29:42So I talked about Tucker craft being one of those guys.
29:45And I do believe that Tucker craft can be one of those guys that can help alleviate some pressure on the run game.
29:52Reed is the other one. And if his ADP, where is his ADP now, guys, if it's really low, then Jamie, spot on.
29:59Spot on. I mean, maybe he's even on the waiver wire in a few weeks.
30:04I'll tell you what it was yesterday on, on NFC.
30:07It was please wide receiver, 43, 91st overall. Oh, that goes, that goes Pittman.
30:11Yeah, but they're very wide receiver heavy for what it's worth.
30:15Pittman, Josh Downs, the John Stribling, Jaden Reed, Wanda Robinson, Matthew golden.
30:19Yeah. I see one 16 on fantasy pros. I'm just going to say one other thing, and this is the poo poo.
30:25Um, but that, that 2023 season that Jamie talked about, and I think that might be the answer is just move Jordan love up.
30:33Maybe, maybe I need to look at that. I would take Jordan love over Patrick Holmes right now.
30:38Oh, wow. Um, yeah, I could see that. Um, but that 2023 season, Jordan love through 579 passes.
30:44We would freaking love that. Of those five, of those 579 passes, Romeo Dobbs led the team with 96 targets.
30:50Then Jaden Reed had 94. Then the two tight ends combined for 86.
30:54Then the wide receiver three at 58 and three more guys had 40 to 50.
30:59So who are the three other guys that had 40 to 50?
31:02Uh, Don Tavian Wicks. Okay. Aaron Jones. Okay. I'm sorry.
31:05There was two. Okay. And those are the two.
31:08And then there were, there were three other guys that had 20 to 30.
31:13So are we, are we maybe not going to see the consolidation that we thought between, I don't know.
31:18I hope so. Well, I mean, look, they, they, they just add John who Smith and we know he's a past catching tight end.
31:26So that's, that's another piece of this that we hate, but it's going to be a problem.
31:31That's the poo poo. This is the poo poo.
31:34And you know, our guy, Brandon Howard, he's been drafting saving on Williams for years.
31:39Wait a second. I don't really think Johnny Smith is going to be, I mean, I'm hoping that they're Musgrave is hurt, right?
31:46Aren't two of their tight ends hurt right now?
31:48I'm not, I'm just, I'm just saying names that are going to be to Heath's point.
31:53Like they, they, they use other bodies. That's kind of been the MO here, which is the issue.
31:59So I agree with Heath. I think Jordan love is going to be great at the same time.
32:04Matthew golden's a first round pick that they have to sort of justify and get going a little bit.
32:10They just pay Jaden Reed this off season. Tucker craft was amazing to start last year.
32:15So there's, there's things here that should work. And again, hopefully we'll get opportunities, increased opportunities individually, but also collectively to Jordan
32:22loves benefit because as noted last night, this division is awesome.
32:25Now from an offensive standpoint, this is not a black and blue division anymore.
32:30This is if the Vikings offense is what it could be.
32:33The lions offense is great. The bears offense is great.
32:36Packers have to keep up. Yeah. And they got a big test week one against Minnesota.
32:41Yep. They were 15th and pass attempts that year before they got Josh Jacobs.
32:46So yes, they spread it out a lot, but like you, can you post a Dan, I don't know how to the whole thing there at the bottom.
32:54Yep. You're not going to win a lead because of golden or read.
32:58You are correct. You are. That's why they're called sleepers, not breakouts.
33:02Yeah. However, every year we get a handful of guys who are drafted around nine or later, which is pick 96 or
33:09later that finish in the top 24, not going to necessarily win you your league, but Brian Thomas jr.
33:15Probably won you your league a few years ago.
33:17Right. But if Watson hits, he's a league winner.
33:20I mean, he just, you've seen that enough. And I agree because, and Watson's at least showed last year, he can get
33:27a 28% target per hour run rate or whatever.
33:30Jaden Reed since 2022, when Watson entered the league, Jaden Reed in 2023, Jaden Reed is leads all wide receivers and fantasy points per target.
33:37And Christian Watson is third because of his rush attempts.
33:40No fantasy points per target. You think that counts the rush attempts?
33:44I think it's probably counting the points he scored on rushes.
33:48Oh, okay. I'm not sure, but, but he's, you know, but he also scored like, he scored like 13 touchdowns his first two seasons or something like that.
33:56Last year, he only had one end zone target, but before that he was, you know, fairly involved.
34:02And, um, and he is going to rush the ball.
34:05As Jamie said, like he is really good at it.
34:08He is the one I'm willing to overpay for.
34:11He's the second most rushing yards since he entered the league among wide receivers.
34:15I believe behind Depot Samuel. Um, all right. So let me get, throw out some names then.
34:20Uh, would you rather have Josh Downs or Jaden Reed?
34:23Jane Reed. I don't. Josh down. Wait, well, if it's not PPR, it's Reed.
34:28Okay. Let's just say half PPR. Uh, would you rather have, um, Wanda Robinson or Jaden Reed?
34:33January. What's the format? Oh, Jaden Reed for sure.
34:36Half PPR. Oh, uh, give me Wanda. Stripling or Reed.
34:39January. Stripling. Okay. Same questions. Downs, Stripling, Wanda or Matthew golden.
34:42All those guys over golden. Now I got golden ahead.
34:45Downs, golden, Stripling, Wanda. Okay. Okay. Uh, back to Dave's risers.
34:49Oh, uh, there was also that one stat I gave on, I think, um, sports network.
34:54A couple of weeks ago, Jordan love last year when the Packers allowed 20 or more points, he scored 21.7 or more
35:00fantasy points in six of eight games in six point for passing touchdown leagues.
35:05However, the year before that, he only did, he only was good in three of eight games where they allowed 20 or
35:12more points, but you get the gist. When he throws, he's going to be good.
35:16Um, all right, Dave, who's next on your risers and followers list?
35:20I have a thousand things open here. You have Jaden Daniels.
35:23Sure. Yes. Thank you. Jaden. Daniels is a faller.
35:26No, he's a riser. Shouldn't be. He's a faller.
35:29Okay. How about Jared golf? You've already flip-flopped on your notes that you sent this morning.
35:34I don't think that I put Daniels as a riser in my notes.
35:38Pretty sure. I just copied and pasted, but how about Jared golf?
35:41Let's check the tape. Ladies and gentlemen, let's check the tape.
35:45I'm looking right now and seeing, I was going to move Dave, but he's already on the bottom.
35:50So yeah, Daniels should have been a faller. He's I'm less excited about Daniels.
35:55That's my bad. That's what I'm right ahead of Jared golf in the risers.
35:59Like an idiot. That's what I get for sending notes before I get into the office.
36:04All right. Who are we talking about now? Jared golf.
36:07Dude. Detroit offense looks great. There's been a lot of positive stuff really in the last week or so on Jameson Williams.
36:14I think that there's going to be somebody's on the clock.
36:17There there's, there's a, there's a good buzz about this offense.
36:21Just overall, we're obviously drafting St. Brown and Gibbs high JMO high Sam Laporta high.
36:25The defense has a great player and Aidan Hutchinson.
36:28Everything else is kind of just decent. They could be in a lot of shootouts.
36:33We've talked about how many games are going to play indoors.
36:36Jared golf is a top 12 quarterback for me now.
36:39So I'm happy to take it. Oh dude, it's great.
36:42I just, I just wish I could find room in my top 12 for purdy.
36:47Also, but there's just so many quarterbacks that are, that are really exciting and it just leads to waiting and finding that good value.
36:54Like we've talked about for the last six months.
36:57So golf is absolutely in the range of QBs to look for late.
37:01I would take him ahead of Matthew Stafford now and could easily see him having one of his best years ever.
37:08Okay. So golf. Yeah. That's kind of where he's, he's going in between Stafford and purdy on NFC over the last week.
37:14I'd rather have him than both. Let's try to fire through a couple more before we take a break here.
37:21Ramondre Stevenson over the last week on NFC, he's RB 27.
37:24He's in, but he's just after Travion Henderson. So it goes Travion Henderson, Ramondre Stevenson, Jonathan Brooks as RBs, 26, 27 and 28.
37:31He's around six pick. And I'm actually very comfortable with him as an RB to, to settle for when I get to
37:38that point of Jadarian price, David Montgomery, basial two.
37:41And he's in that group and he's ahead of Marshawn Lloyd for me.
37:45He's ahead of Jonathan Brooks for me, the Steelers running backs.
37:48There's just too much good stuff about him and not enough good stuff about Travion Henderson.
37:53And I'm no longer worried about Ramondre Stevenson fumbling and losing his gig.
37:57I think he's going to be the one a for the Patriots for the foreseeable future.
38:02The fact that they added AJ Brown means that safeties can't play up on the line like they did last year should
38:09open up for better efficiency for Ramondre Stevenson. I like getting him.
38:12I don't mind even early round six in full PPR.
38:16I'm sorry. Can I just go completely off subject for a second?
38:19Yeah. Is this about me putting Jaden Daniels as a riser?
38:23Not me. No. I just was like, you just put up on the screen.
38:27I'm sorry if you're just listening and not watching.
38:30Ramondre Stevenson is a riser in CBS ADP. He's up to 74th overall.
38:34He's up five spots. Harold Fannin is up 11 spots over like a full round over the weekend.
38:39And now at the six, seven turn ahead of Tucker craft and Kyle pits, who is falling like a lead balloon.
38:46Good job, Dave. Good job to a good, I guess.
38:49Good job to a, but I just thought like we, none of us want to draft Harold Fannin there.
38:55No, not even me. And I was the fan and guy earlier this off.
38:59You got, you got to remember sometimes what auto picks do to this based on what projections are and people that are
39:06now drafting and drafting and looking at it for the first time.
39:10And Oh man, Harold Fannin won my league last year.
39:13Why would I not take him? And don't know that Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston are going to be an issue for Fannin.
39:20And Oh man, that Kyle pits guy, he burned me so much.
39:23I'm not taking him again. Or the people that I've been watching too ago, I do.
39:28I really want this offense. Like I had somebody in a 10 team league last night draft B.
39:34John Robinson and Drake London. And I was like, Ooh, I don't know if I want to be in with both of those guys.
39:41Like they're awesome. It's going to be Penix though.
39:44Like if two is bad, it'll be Penix. We hope it might be Penix week one anyway, by the way, like Kyle pits having an amazing preseason.
39:52I'm actually getting nervous. Great. But perception. It's not about what you, what, what we say.
39:57Cause how many years have we said in a row?
40:0015 plus 20 years. Don't draft quarterbacks early. And it's finally happened.
40:04So like people just do what they do. All right.
40:07We got a lot more risers and fallers to get to.
40:11We have something more important though. Heath is on the clock.
40:14This team. Yeah. Bijan Bowers picking from the two spot.
40:17Bijan Bowers, Olave, Tedderall McMillan, 47th overall. That's good.
40:20Luther burden. So running back tight end, three receivers, Tony Pollard as his RB to Marvin Harrison, junior as his wide receiver
40:27for, and you have a partner here. So I know you can't make the pick, but what do you want the pick to be?
40:34So if I was making the pick, it would be RJ Harvey.
40:38My partner, I think is wanting to take Chuba or Aaron Jones or Rashad White.
40:42So I mean, whatever he wants to do, but I think he's probably just draft the guy.
40:48The interesting thing is we don't have a quarterback yet either.
40:51Obviously I'd love to take Brock Purdy, but there's still four good quarterbacks left.
40:55Joey Wright, right behind us has a kind of similar build with Gibbs, Travion and Jonathan Brooks as his running backs.
41:02So he's probably, they're looking at two running backs and a quarterback.
41:06We are looking at two running backs or a quarterback.
41:09So it's a, it's, it's a big, big moment in the draft year.
41:13Yeah. Well, that didn't help that seven of the previous eight picks were running backs.
41:17Not great for you. We'll take a break and get to more risers and fallers.
41:22When we come back, back to Dave Richards risers, Najee, Najee Harris real quick, super late round pick.
41:28I think he's going to end up being the guy behind camp Scadaboo in New York.
41:32And I'm starting to get very afraid that the giants are just going to make this a muddled backfield where there isn't
41:39one guy that you can look at and say, okay, he's the one a, I think it's going to be mixing and
41:46matching all year long until injuries slash bad play weed out players from being impactful.
41:51And for what it's worth, Najee's look good. You look good in the joint practices.
41:55It's Miami reports after that practice say that Najee's look good.
41:59We saw him in the preseason. I think that he's worth a late round flyer, just a stash on the bench.
42:05See what happens the first few weeks of the year.
42:08Chris Olave is a riser for you right now on NFC over the last week.
42:13He is wide receiver 11 in between Nico Collins and Malik neighbors.
42:17Is he top? Is he 11th for you? Where is he exactly?
42:20I know that he's a number one wide receiver for me.
42:24I've got him at nine. So I've got him ahead of Nico.
42:27I've got him ahead of pickings. I've got him ahead of neighbors.
42:31I have met of rice, just fully expect him to begin the year dominating the target share for new Orleans.
42:37This isn't, this is one of the teams that we've identified all along is suspect defense, really good offense.
42:43We know that they're going to play at a fast pace.
42:47We know that Shuck was great for Olave when Shuck went under center last year.
42:51I think that, yeah, maybe I'm drafting Olave a little bit too close to his ceiling if he's in round two, but
42:58I think he can get there again. He's a really good wide receiver, talented arm, finally throwing to him and not a ton of competition for targets there.
43:07And I don't know when Jordan Tyson's going to come back, how soon he'll be acclimated into the offense and how serious
43:13of a threat he'll be to take away a number of targets from Chris Olave.
43:18Okay. You're the high guy on Olave at nine.
43:21Heath and Jamie have him 11th behind Nico Collins behind.
43:24Do you guys have them as a round two pick or do you think that that's Cuckoo?
43:29I got him at 22. Uh, 24. Okay. So I'm a little bit ahead of you guys on him.
43:35Fine with it. I mean, look, the whole group of receivers, it's, it's such a basically who you like best versus like arguments for and against.
43:43Cause you can make so many points on either side that makes sense.
43:47And so I think what it comes down to is like when Jordan Tyson returns, which is such a gamble at this
43:54point, how much does that impact Olave? Because we really saw what his numbers were last year with Rahid Shahid, who I think we could all agree.
44:02Tyson's a better player that, or should be a better player than Rashid Shahid.
44:06I hope so. When he was basically a solo act, he was, as you said, a monster.
44:12Can he continue to do that? If Tyson plays.
44:15Okay. Next up is Parker Washington. He is currently, he's a riser for Dave.
44:19He's currently wide receiver 26 over the last week on NFC in between Christian Watson and Terry McLaurin.
44:24I have a problem. I can't stop drafting Parker Washington.
44:27And he's been like on that round five, six fence for me all off season.
44:32And now he's starting to get close to the round four or five fence, which is nuts.
44:37But I really love the outlook for him. I think he's going to lead the Jaguars and targets catches yards touchdowns.
44:44I'm not a hundred percent sure on, but usually if you're getting a lot of looks from the quarterback, you're going to
44:51find your way into some touchdowns too. Maybe you only get six on the year, but could have 80 catches and like 1100 yards on top of it.
44:59I'd be really excited about that. Yeah. Let's, let's try and get them in round five and not round four.
45:05And even better if you can get them in round six and just the best receiver to get in Jacksonville.
45:12He's one of those guys that I've tried pretty hard to not have a take on all season, because I think it's,
45:18because it's going to be hilarious either way. It's either going to be like, how did you miss all of these signals?
45:25He's obviously a star or LOL. How did you fall for this?
45:29Yeah. I feel like we could say that about like a dozen receivers this year.
45:34I mean, I think Luther Burton is probably one of those two.
45:37Yep. I agree. Little better pedigree for Luther Burton.
45:40Yes, I agree. And Washington, you know, there was a report that Travis Hunter has been playing almost exclusively defense over the
45:47last two weeks, which is good for Washington. It was that way in the joint practice against Tampa too.
45:53How would you rank these three players? Cam Scadaboo, Christian Watson, Parker Washington.
45:57I've got Washington ahead of them all. I have Scadaboo next.
46:00Watson after that. Really close between Parker and Scadaboo.
46:03Jamie, he all within 10 picks for me. Same.
46:06Yeah, I'm in that same thing. And Burton ahead of them all.
46:09The names again. I'm sorry. Uh, Scadaboo, Watson, Parker, Washington.
46:12Um, who am I drafting first? Yeah. That's probably still Scadaboo, but it's Watson and Washington right after.
46:18John Stribling is a riser for Dave. Yeah, he has been all training camp long.
46:23The reports out of San Francisco were good. The preseason film was good to very good.
46:28And you just can't help but feel like he's got a locked in role as an outside receiver in this offense where
46:34he's sharing the field with a bunch of older receivers who are definitely capable of either being inefficient or breaking down.
46:41And I just love the idea of drafting him late.
46:44I'm not one of these guys that's reaching for him in round seven or round eight.
46:49I saw a league where, uh, he went in round six that put my jaw on the floor.
46:54Uh, I think he's more of like that round, uh, nine type of target in that same range for me as Jaden
47:01Reed, um, ahead of Kelsey in that same range with Coker and digs and downs, like a good bench wide receiver.
47:08You're just going to have to be a little bit patient with him.
47:12And if you see him after that, then get him and put him on your bench.
47:17And I think you give him a month. And if he ends up playing a lot for the 49ers, maybe without a
47:23huge target share, you just hang on to him.
47:26So, uh, Lewis was, uh, tuned into the show when I told him we were talking about the pick and picked RJ Harvey.
47:33So I hope that I don't, uh, end up feeling bad about that.
47:37Uh, Trey Tucker, Dave is wide receiver 59 right now.
47:40Late round flyers, nothing more than that. Don't have to feel compelled to draft him, but I think he's going to be
47:47the best receiver, uh, in Las Vegas and the second best target getter in that offense.
47:52Do you like him better than Denzel Boston and or Jacoby Lane?
47:56Definitely over lane. And I believe I have him over Boston too.
48:00Okay. Kayshawn booty. Do you like Trey Tucker or Kayshawn booty?
48:03Tucker. All right. Booty booty. Booty's sets up to be the number two target getter in Houston.
48:08We know that Jaden Higgins is out for the year.
48:11He can take the top off the defense and another player who's, who's looked really good.
48:16Honestly, the last two training camps and he wasn't necessarily a big target getter in New Orleans, in new England, excuse me,
48:23last year, but they moved on from him because they didn't want to pay him.
48:28And now Houston's got him. And I would imagine in a contract year, he'll have opportunities to ball out booty or Schultz getting more targets.
48:35What do you think? Schultz Schultz might get more, but he's not going to do much with them compared to Kayshawn.
48:42Chris bell. All right. Welcome back. Chris belly played in the preseason game and quick recovery from that ACL.
48:48So an even deeper late round pick. Like I'm obviously going to take Tucker and booty ahead of bell, but I love
48:55the long view for bell in an offense where there isn't really a wide receiver.
48:59That's stepping up. I still don't think he's at his, like where he was at Louisville, but you could see, and it's
49:06amazing because like the ACL injury, man, people are coming back from that and it's not necessarily a big deal.
49:12Like his acceleration is still really good. And this is a giant wide receiver.
49:16So I could see him. You might have to wait till November, but I could see him becoming a thing for this dolphins offense.
49:24Probably of all the receivers that we've said in the last four minutes, the guy you don't have to draft, but can
49:31pick up off waivers when you've got a dead roster spot.
49:34Okay. Chris bell for the dolphins. We'll go to the fallers now and we'll go to Heath's fallers.
49:40First, Josh Jacobs, who, yeah, you said double digit rounds, right?
49:43Yep. And I don't really want to there. Ashton Gentry, uh, over the last week, he's still RB 11 going 18th overall
49:50in between Ken Walker and Derek Henry. Where do you have Ashton Gentry?
49:54So I moved him. I had him at the two, three turn.
49:57And, um, I just, I think Jamie said this last week that he did not want to draft him in round two.
50:04And I, I moved him back to that group of running backs that I have at the three, four turn.
50:10So a Chan and Kyron and those guys, I understand if you want to reach higher, but I do kind of believe
50:17that Mike Washington has shown enough in camp in the preseason to where there's a less of a chance that we're going to get workhorse Ashton Gentry.
50:26Okay. Would you take a Gentry or Zay flowers?
50:28Oh, come on. I'd take Devante Smith over him.
50:31Okay. That's crazy. Um, all right. Uh, Gentry or Trey McBride.
50:35I've got McBride. Brian, I have McBride two spots ahead right now.
50:38McBride. Okay. Uh, other fallers for Heath, Emeka Buka.
50:41And we talked about, and a Ronde Gadsden. Do not draft him.
50:45Not draft him. He's, I think he's might be their third tight end.
50:49All right. Well, that's it for Heath's followers. Jacobs, Gentry, Emeka, Buka, and Ronde Gadsden.
50:53Uh, I'll throw out some of Buka names for you.
50:56Uh, Buka Joe gave that one last year, but a Buka or T Higgins.
51:01T T. Yep. A Buka or DJ more. More.
51:04I've settled on more. Still a Buka for me.
51:06Okay. Dave, let's go to your fallers. You are pretty low on the Titans.
51:11And I think I know why. Yeah. I don't think they really need an explanation on this.
51:16The offense hasn't looked good since their first drive.
51:19Although the reports out of their joint practice against Chicago suggested that Cam Ward and Carnell Tate finally clicked.
51:25But I'm, I just don't want to, I don't really want to be involved with any of these guys.
51:30Maybe Wandale in full PPR, but outside of that, like, give me, give me Carnell Tate.
51:35If it's round eight, where are you guys taking Tony Pollard?
51:39I've got them in round eight. I don't want to get, I don't want them.
51:43Yeah. I'm going to have to put a block on Tony Pollard for a week because I've drafted him too much lately
51:50because of these teams where I end up with the anchor running back.
51:54And then you want the guy who's probably going to the last guy who's probably going to be a starter.
52:00And it's always Tony Pollard. Yeah. So, but you, you like Lloyd better than Pollard, right?
52:05Yep. Yes. Okay. What about Jalen Warren and, and Rico Dowdle?
52:09I, I still have Pollard higher. Okay. I, I don't, you know, the thing is, I don't really know that there's been
52:15much difference between the way Pollard and Spears have been used this preseason compared to the way Warren and Dowdle have been used this preseason.
52:23We've seen a lot more from the Titans than the Steelers, but I've been a little, uh, bothered by how involved Spears has been.
52:31Yeah. I, I do think Pollard is clearly the starter, but there's been a lot of Spears out there.
52:36All right. Well, anyway, um, Jane Daniels is a faller Dave, from what I understand.
52:41He is a faller. I'm nervous about where the commander's offense is going now because of the offensive line.
52:47I'm hoping that they can get most of that line healthy, but a huge question market left tackle much rather have Jalen hurts at this point.
52:55Whereas two weeks ago they were back to back for me.
52:58Okay. You know, if you look at the NFC ADP for Jane Daniels, he's going after Caleb Williams.
53:04He's going after Justin Herbert. Yeah. I think going after Justin Herbert is the right move.
53:09Wow. This guy could rush for 900 yards. That's the thing.
53:12You want upside position. Yeah. Yeah. But Herbert can run a little bit too, and he could throw for 35 touchdowns.
53:19Yeah. All right. I mean, it's, I think we're going to have to, maybe tomorrow we'll, we'll do like a, maybe we can get a sponsor for it.
53:27Like a dip, you know, buy the dip. Yeah.
53:30Because there's a lot of guys who are getting some negative press, whether it's their own injuries or the tonsil injury or whatever.
53:37And some of them are going to crush ADP because it happens all the time.
53:42Luther Burden. Yep. That's a great call. Burden. I'm buying the dip on Dave Daniels for sure.
53:47Like I, I want that. One billion percent. Yeah.
53:50One billion percent. Yeah. But I mean, I think about it with everybody.
53:54It's like a Buka. Could they all, could they all just end up being really good values?
53:59It could, but that position specifically, because if you miss, there's so many other options.
54:04Yeah. Yep. So where do you guys have them?
54:07I've got them in early round seven. Now, Jaden, Dave, I've not moved him at all.
54:12Round six. Nope. Okay. Okay. Is that QB? I totally get where you're coming from.
54:16QB five. I've got him QB four. All right.
54:19Yeah. Not crazy. Dave is dropping Cam Scadaboo. And you know, I get it.
54:23Okay. Where do you have him now? Round five.
54:26But like, but amongst who? Judkins ahead of him.
54:29And then he's currently ahead of price, Montgomery, Tootin.
54:32And, uh, then a big drop before you get to Ramondre Stevenson and Marshawn Lloyd.
54:36I think I'd rather have Ramondre than him right now.
54:39Yeah. I'm getting close to that too. It's just, it's hard to justify Scadaboo.
54:44He's been around five for me for a few weeks, but it's like hard to justify him over some of these other
54:50guys that are in timeshares that are in offenses that could be just as good, if not better.
54:56Like, I just don't know how much of a time.
54:59I don't think he's going to be playing on third downs like he did last year.
55:04That's kind of where. No chance. But, I mean, Unless it's third and one.
55:08I mean, I understand, you know, Najee Harris has looked good.
55:12Najee Harris, we know who Najee Harris is, and he's coming off a tourniquet lease.
55:16If Cam Scadaboo. It's not so much though about Najee Harris though.
55:20It's the whole collective. I don't think they're going to matter.
55:23I mean, I just, if Cam Scadaboo can't beat those guys out, like Devin Singletary better not take Cam Scadaboo off the field.
55:31You know, Tyrone Tracy. I don't know, You hear me say this all the time.
55:35We think these guys suck. Coaches love when guys do think the small things the right way.
55:40What does Cam Scadaboo do? Does he fumble a lot?
55:44I mean, he doesn't. He tried to take out his own defenders.
55:47Like, I mean, that pisses coaches off. Well, that's, that's, there's been different accounts of that as you saw.
55:53Well, when he called him an infectious disease, because he obviously did something to cause an issue at practice.
55:59However, you want to slice it up, whether it's the one report about he's been pissing them off for a while, or
56:06the one report about just that he did it that day.
56:09He obviously has done something to annoy his coach and annoy his defensive players and maybe not do everything right in meeting rooms or whatever.
56:17And they just say, that does this. And Najee Harris is a veteran that does that.
56:22What did Najee do his entire career? If the Giants, if the, you know what, as a Giants fan, if they start
56:29playing Devin Singletary over Cam Scadaboo, I'm just going to have to pick a new freaking team.
56:34Like, okay. You said that's going to be what, I mean, two minute drills.
56:38No, that's fine. Two minutes. Two minute drills can be Devin Singletary.
56:42Yeah. That's what it's been. Like if you look at their talent and their personnel, it cam Scadaboo has to be.
56:48So I think short yardage will be nauseous. No, I'm not sure about that.
56:53Cam Scadaboo is the man in short yardage. You cannot tackle this guy.
56:57That is his best thing. And by the way, I don't have it.
57:01I don't think I've drafted Scadaboo once in a real league.
57:04Like I have not, I have been out on Scadaboo, but if he's going to start following like a full round later,
57:11because he was around four pick, we start talking middle round five.
57:15His ADP was round three last week. Okay. Yeah.
57:17That's insane. I never liked it there. I never liked it there.
57:21Nope. And I understand the bus potential. I totally see what you guys are saying.
57:26I just think the giants would be stupid. I basically think like Scadaboo would have to seriously blow it either with his
57:33personality or whatever he's doing, which he might be doing or just his performance, but they better give him the opportunity to be their lead running back.
57:41Did they just keep the four guys on the roster?
57:44They did. Yeah. They cut Eric Gray. I mean, that's telling.
57:47It is telling. Cause none of those guys are special teams guys, maybe outside of Singletary.
57:52Oh, they might. You expect them to have two running backs who were special teams guys and no, but usually have one.
57:59Yeah. I think Singletary will probably be, I mean, probably it's Cam Scadaboo.
58:03Maybe it's, uh, maybe a good gunner. Yeah. Yeah.
58:06I wouldn't be surprised if they're in talks to trade Tracy though.
58:10Um, Travion Henderson's a follower for Dave. Yeah. That's just the inverse of Ramond Ray Stevenson moving up.
58:15I want to talk about this one. Rashid Rice is a follower for Dave.
58:19He's currently on NFC wide receiver 14 in between two terrific wide receivers goes Devante Smith, Rashid Rice, Zay flowers.
58:26I've got rice ahead of Smith and flowers. He's just moved down for me throughout the entire training camp slash preseason period,
58:32because I've bought into Kenneth Walker more and more.
58:35And I don't think there's going to be more than maybe four games this year.
58:40We're both Walker and rice. We'll have monster games.
58:43I just don't think it'll, it'll play out that way.
58:46I think if Walker's running the ball, well, I think if he's catching screen passes, it's all stuff that's going to take away from where she rice.
58:54I knew I was, I don't mind him. It's like a early round three back in full PPR later than that.
59:00Non-PPR. It's one of like my favorite things. If I have Gibbs or B John and I can get two of Nico Pickens, Collins, Olave, Nico or Nico.
59:09I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Like the fact that, that he's fallen that far is awesome.
59:14Right. It's hard to take him in full P or it's hard to take Devante over him in full PPR.
59:20Just because of the potential for, I mean, there's also the, the upside, the contingency upside.
59:25Kenneth Walker doesn't exactly have a gleaming track record of playing 17 games.
59:29He did last year because he was splitting reps, but if there's, if there are going to be games where Walker's unavailable
59:36for Kansas city, then Rishi rice is going to go right back to nine targets a game.
59:41So I think that you're giving Walker the injury problem and not rice, the injury problem.
59:46Yeah. I mean, sure. That's part of the contingency downside for rice.
59:50I don't think he's around to pick anymore. That's it.
59:53I just don't, I just don't buy the argument that you add a running back.
59:57It could make a wide receiver worse. Okay. Two years ago, the Eagles added Saquon Barkley.
60:02He ran for 2000 yards. Didn't really hurt AJ Brown's targets.
60:06I don't think, I mean, maybe I'm wrong last year.
60:09The, the bears got so much better at running the football and, and they had a better passing game too.
60:15I mean, I just think their offense, well, the offense is going to be seven target per game guy in that offense at wide receiver.
60:23Well, they didn't, I mean, they spread the ball around, but no, they did with Loveland at the end of the year.
60:29Yeah. That's the time I'm with you, Adam. I don't think Ken Walker is the problem for rice.
60:35I think rice is the problem for rice. If he's not, if he's not physically right, then we have an issue.
60:41And that's, I think the concern is that people looked at the videos and saw, Oh my God, look, he's slow.
60:48We can't separate all these things, which may be true.
60:51But if he's, if he's on the field, healthy playing there, there's not anybody else.
60:56Cause Kelsey's 36 and right. Worthy is not proven anything yet.
60:59And look, I I'm, I'm excited about Cyrus Allen, but I don't think Cyrus Allen's a problem for us.
61:05You're right. So I think as long as rice is there, he's going to command targets, what he does with those targets.
61:12Is he still the touchdown guy? Okay. You can, you know, nitpick all those things.
61:16And maybe that's where Walker comes into play, but like to run away from rice.
61:21I'm not saying Dave's doing this, but like to run away from rice because of Walker, that's a mistake.
61:27I rushy rice has never really been able to separate.
61:30Right. I think he did early in his career.
61:33Yeah. I don't know. last two years, I haven't found much evidence.
61:36He's averaged 18.7 PPR fantasy points per game in his last 17 healthy games, which is only a game.
61:42Um, okay. Ridiculously high target share. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, in those 17 games on pace for 163 targets and you know,
61:49he might, he might, by the way, he might struggle week one.
61:53He struggled against tough matchups last year, gets Denver in week one.
61:56So there's that, but I don't think that should matter.
62:00A Mecca Buka. We've talked about Jordan Tyson's a follower for you.
62:03Are you taking, now you had a couple of risers, like you had, um, Trey Tucker, Kayshawn booty and Chris bell.
62:10Are you taking them ahead of Jordan Tyson? Let me double check where they are in my rankings because the one appealing
62:17thing about Tyson is you can draft him and stash him in an IR spot.
62:21I do have, I, right. Uh, Tucker and booty.
62:24I do have just ahead of Tyson. Uh, I also want to say that I lied about not having drafted scataboo.
62:30I feel bad about that because I drafted him in the podcast league.
62:34Uh, what round? Um, 10th pick of round four in a 14 team league.
62:39Okay. Good. So that's, uh, 52nd, three, four. Yeah.
62:42That's right about where I am ranked. All right.
62:44Um, so we're so Jordan Tyson, uh, Harold fan and junior and Travis Kelsey are two fallers for you.
62:50Kelsey for the same reasons as rice, but much worse.
62:53Like his target share could really fall off a cliff.
62:56How many targets are you projecting for Kenneth Walker?
62:59That's what I'm saying. He's taking targets for rushy rice.
63:02I don't think they throw as much as they have in the past.
63:06They've become the reason why I've started to sag a little bit on, on Patrick Mahomes.
63:11Okay. And fan. And we talked about, I'm, I'm becoming bullish on Casey conception.
63:15Really think he could be like very good. Yeah.
63:18Okay. Well, that's got him in round eight, way out of ADP who conception.
63:23Yes, sir. Wow. Well, those would be our risers and fallers.
63:26Thank you to whoop for sponsoring this week's risers and fallers with whoop.
63:30You can better understand how your body is responding to the travel training, late nights, weather changes.

63:54That is join. whoop, which is W H O O P.com slash FFT.
63:58Oh man, I don't know if there's a, let's talk about the Sean Tucker thing.
64:03Heath, uh, Sean Tucker got a one year, $2.5 million deal to stay with the bucks, which is actually a pay cut.
64:10And I shouldn't be on the bottom right here.
64:12So, um, yeah, you lied. Yeah. I got demoted for the scatterboot thing.
64:16Yes. Uh, I am the poo poo. Anyway, uh, what do you think about the bucks backfield?
64:22I think that anybody who's drafting Bucky Irving hopes that it doesn't matter.
64:26And from their point of view, it's a good sign that Tucker had to take a pay cut to stay on the team.
64:33It is just a little bit concerning because both Kenneth Gainwell and Sean Tucker had a lot more carries inside the five yard line than Bucky Irving.
64:41And in fact, everyone who had a carry inside the five yard line last year had more carries than Bucky Irving.
64:47So I, I, I think that the trap back risk is a little higher.
64:52I'd still take him over scataboo, but, um, it's, it's there.
64:55He, he could just be kind of a, between the twenties, early down guy.
65:00I got a lot of news items here. Most of them don't really matter, but let's pick the ones that do.
65:06Unfortunately, this matters. Hate to see this. Jamie Keenan Allen arrested for DWI, um, to just from a fantasy standpoint, unfortunately to be cold about it.
65:14Sorry about that. I always hate these news items.
65:17Um, did this change anything for you with the Colts?
65:20Well, two things did. I mean, one out Pierce being cleared and ready to go on top of Keenan Allen getting in trouble off the field.
65:28Less than two weeks into his tenure with the Colts.
65:31Like, it just doesn't feel like is the risk worth the reward for a 34 year old wide receiver.
65:37So you wonder, are they going to let this play out?
65:40Is there going to be a suspension? You know, how's this all going to work for the Colts passing game?
65:46But for somebody who was worth a late round flyer while Pierce was on the pop list.
65:52Now I don't think he's worth it. Okay. Do we move downs up or anything like that?
65:57I mean, I, I, I think if you were in on Josh Downs, you should stay in on Josh Downs.
66:03If you were out on Josh Downs, you probably still going to be out on Josh Downs.
66:08Keenan Allen's probably still going to play. I don't think they're going to cut him if they would have, they probably would
66:15have done it yesterday, but maybe there's a suspension.
66:18They decide to move on. It's just a matter of like, how much were they just waiting for him to be ready?
66:25And then signing him that this was the plan all along.
66:28And they're willing to just put up with this, you know, off field scenario.
66:32Or is it like, Hey man, we, we value your service, but can't be doing this.
66:37Bye bye. Didn't they cut, it was a Nick, they got no Nick Westbrook yesterday.
66:42You did. Yeah. Which week we wasn't probably ever going to matter anyway, but he might've mattered if Keenan Allen was gone.
66:49I, I generally, like I, I agree with you.
66:52I hate talking about the situations. I pretty much just read what drew Davenport writes about the league's policy.
66:57And he seemed pretty skeptical that anything would happen.
67:00NFL wise to Keenan Allen before this situation is resolved.
67:03It sounds like he was parked at the time that it happened.
67:07So. Yeah. Also, Judy, import does, does not, from what I read this morning, does not have Josh Jacobs on his draft board.
67:14Right. It's very staying away from Jacobs. For reasonable reasons.
67:17Keenan Allen in full PPR, it's like round 12 plus.
67:20And if he ends up being suspended, you just cut him.
67:24I know that they like Ashton Doolin and they drafted a guy, Dion Burks, and those guys made the team.
67:30And that's why Keenan Westbrook, Keenan is no longer around in Indy.
67:34I'm going to call it a show here. Fab thoughts tomorrow.
67:37Just for those of you who want a little fab primer and some more news items, like what the Raiders are saying
67:44about their running backs, which he's already kind of alluded to, um, a surprising cut in Denver and not much more.
67:50The Dallas Cowboys is acquiring an offensive tackle, uh, but we'll have more certainly between, uh, now and then to update you on.
67:57Okay. Thanks for watching. By the way, tomorrow we're also on CBS sports network and Thursday, every Tuesday and Thursday going forward
