Blake Corum

PositiveUsage0:47

Blake Corum averaged 10.5 carries per game in the last 11 games of 2025, but there is potential for him to take over the lead role from Kyron Williams.

Insight page

Bo Nix

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection0:52

Jalen Hurts is a Super Bowl champion who has accomplished everything needed since entering the NFL as a non-first-round talent, and his win-loss record speaks for itself despite unfair criticism.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:54

The Eagles have done an amazing job tailoring their offense to Jalen Hurts' strengths, creating a perfect fit for his skill set.

Jalen Hurts has maintained a 1.4% interception rate or lower in three of the last four years, demonstrating exceptional ball security and conservative play that wins games.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveUsage0:42

Jaden Daniels had a big improvement in receiver drop rate last year and performed better as a result.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection0:56

Justin Herbert has a 1.7% career interception rate (after a career-high 2.5% last year), which is lower than Jalen Hurts' 1.9%, showing he also doesn't turn the ball over much.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveUsage0:47

In the last 11 games of 2025, Kyron Williams averaged 15 carries per game compared to Blake Corum's 10.5, but there is concern he could lose the lead role.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeValue0:49

Michael Pittman in round 10 is not considered good value in a keeper league.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

NegativeUsage0:42

Trevor Lawrence has had a consistently high receiver drop rate of around 6% throughout his career, with last year at 7%, which may have been influenced by Brian Thomas Jr.'s drops.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:49

In a keeper league, Trevor Lawrence in round 5 is considered good value, with the analyst noting he is the only one of the non-quarterback options getting good value.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveValue0:49

Trey McBride in round 2 is not considered good value in a keeper league compared to other options like Trevor Lawrence.

Insight page

Troy Franklin

NegativeUsage0:44

0:56This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
1:01Off to the races! And he stays on his feet!
1:04He's just gonna go the distance! Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
1:09It's mailbag time! Welcome to the show Thursday, June 18th.
1:12And we don't have Dan. Mailbag without Dan. Dave, you have to be Dan today.
1:17Dave, you have to be Dan today? Dave? Hey, Jamie.
1:20Hey, man. Uh, we have fake, uh, fake Dan.
1:23I don't know what he's doing. What's the, what's the bit here?
1:27You were, you were talking to me, weren't you?
1:30Yes, I was. Yeah, yeah. I had a, uh, IFB mail.
1:33You're Dan! I'm Dan! Hi, everybody. You nailed it.
1:36You nailed it. Good job. Ah, we're off to a roaring start.
1:40No, I, there's something wrong with my IFB and I couldn't hear you.
1:44What did you say? I said you have to be Dan today and I thought you were doing some type of bit.
1:51I was, no, I wish I was. That would have been funny.
1:55But no, not, not Dan. Not yet. Uh, all right.
1:58We, yesterday we did a 12 team PPR mock draft.
2:02We'll give one thought from each of us on that draft.
2:05We'll go through the news and notes and then we'll read your emails at fantasy football and see at cbsi.com.
2:11Fantasy football at cbsi.com. I don't think it's your type and cbsi.com.
2:15Uh, we have questions about what it takes to be a number one wide receiver sleeper running backs.
2:21Uh, some keeper questions. Oh, good question about drop rates for Trevor Lawrence and Bo Nix.
2:26They were among the worst in the NFL and not them.
2:30Their teams were among the worst in the NFL and drop rates.
2:34The only quarterback who had a higher drop rate than those two guys, Lawrence and Nix was JJ McCarthy.
2:40Uh, but let's start with one thought from yesterday's draft, Jamie.
2:43First of all, um, you know, not, uh, not too many auto picks, fairly smooth sailing.
2:48We started mostly on time. Kudos to you, commish, but yeah, give me a thought from yesterday's draft, something that stood out.
2:55So, uh, I'll give you two because of what you just said.
2:59So, uh, just because they're, they're funny people. Um, Jacob and Dan, uh, the, uh, steam co-hosts of beyond the box core.
3:06Uh, we're very excited to be the first two in the chat for the draft and saying, look, we're on time.
3:13We're ready to go. And then Jacob auto picked his first pick and Dan, his internet connection crashed out on the second pick.
3:20So they, they caught back up. We had to back out a few picks for Jacob and, uh, he got his first pick in.
3:28And then Dan and I run the phone a little bit for a second pick and he got everything straightened out.
3:35But it was just so funny, especially Dan. Um, they were, they were, they were so like, look, we're here.
3:41We're on time. We're good to go. And then.
3:44No, I don't understand. This is just my internet.
3:47Why is my internet going out? I don't understand.
3:50I did everything right. And then the internet guy come yesterday.
3:53I don't just don't understand. All right. Anyway, sorry.
3:56Good. Uh, what stood out to me is first time that I drafted 12th and I was, uh, I was curious to
4:03see how it was going to work out. I was actually pretty thrilled.
4:07So I liked the way that it, uh, it played out picking at the end of the first round.
4:13And Jamie took a cook and his three receiver league full PPR cook and Jefferson flowers and McMillan.
4:19Uh, Lamar Jackson and Tyler Warren. Who's your RB to Chuba Hubbard, Ramondre Stevenson.
4:24Okay. Um, Chuba in round eight was kind of ideal.
4:27Yeah, that, that helped make your team for sure.
4:30I was surprised he went that late. He fell.
4:33Yeah. Last pick around seven or first pick of round eight, you went Chuba and Ramondre Stevenson back to back.
4:39I think if you have that late pick just based on the ADP right now, uh, you're in a good spot to get an awesome quarterback.
4:47Jamie took Lamar Jackson 60th overall. Uh, Joe Burrow went just after that.
4:51I think Jaden Daniels went just after that. So that's kind of when that next, that second group of awesome quarterbacks is going.
4:59Uh, well, I don't know. It's like everyone, but Josh Allen, basically, uh, Dave, one takeaway from the draft for you.
5:05I started running back, running back, big shocker. And when I got to my pick in round four, I took a Buka
5:12as my top wide receiver in round three. Josh Allen was still there.
5:17And I thought to myself, Oh, this is awesome value.
5:20Best quarterback in fantasy slam dunk for points. And I'm getting them in the fourth round because everybody else is just too,
5:27um, the two ended not taking a quarterback early.
5:30So I'm the one that started the quarterback run, except it didn't start a quarterback run.
5:35And there were a bunch of other really good values at quarterback later on.
5:39And it made me like on one hand, I'm like, Oh, I should have waited a little bit longer on quarterback.
5:46And when I was up in round four, I could have had Jalen Waddle.
5:51I could have had Terry McLaurin. Um, there were a bunch of running backs there, but what do I need another running back for?
5:58Because I had taken two with my first two picks and there wasn't really any, uh, great tight end there that I, that I could have taken.
6:07So I think I'm okay with Josh Allen there instead of Jalen Waddle and then switching out one of my other wide
6:14receivers later, but it made me pivot my strategy with wide receivers to going after upside.
6:19So a lot of the other receivers that I ended up taking high upside type guys that their flows are, their floors
6:26are low to Christian Watson's on my team. Brian Thomas Jr.
6:30is on my team. Xavier worthy is on the roster.
6:33Um, maybe a couple of other wide receivers. I usually don't draft a lot of wide receivers, but I, I made that
6:40pivot and now I'm looking at my roster and I feel good at what I got.
6:45I think I got to steal a tight end with Bannon.
6:48I think that was round seven. My running backs are great.
6:52Uh, Josh Allen is awesome. That's the other side of the coin of this is that sure.
6:57I may have taken him first and round four was good value.
7:01And I could have gotten some other quarterbacks later, but Josh Allen total stud.
7:06I need a lot of my wide receivers to come through.
7:09And I think if they don't come through, the team's going to struggle, but I always feel like I can find a wide receiver off the waiver wire.
7:18So hopefully a couple of those wide receivers that have the high upside make it.
7:23And they are big must start fantasy receivers and actually feel pretty good about Christian Watson being one of those guys.
7:30I took AJ Brown, what? 16, 13, 14, 15, 17th overall with the second pick of round five.
7:35One of the reasons I took AJ Brown with the second pick of round five, Dave, you said you went running back, running back.
7:43I didn't want to do that. I'm not opposed to running back, running back, but when you go running back, running back
7:50or receiver, receiver, and you get up in round three or round four, you might feel like I simply cannot take that position again.
7:58And that might be the best value on the board.
8:01So it's not a, I'm not saying it's wrong to do, but I wanted to avoid going running back, running back there,
8:08just in case a great running back fell to me in round three.
8:12So I'm sitting there going, do I take Amari and Hampton, Saquon Barkley, Derek Henry, Rasheed Rice?
8:18And I took AJ Brown and I believe in him.
8:21I'm going to show you why with this Twitter thread that I'm going to share here.
8:26Um, Thomas, I'm going to get rid of, thank you.
8:29Um, okay. I just drafted. Oh, by the way, it was, it was met with, um, like incredulous.
8:35How could you comments? Basically people thought I reached for him.
8:38Someone even said Adam meant to grab Pacheco. Uh, I said, I just drafted AJ Brown.
8:44Yeah. 17th. And this is why I did it last year.
8:47Stefan Diggs was 31 years old coming off a torn ACL.
8:51And because there's this idea, the Patriots spread the ball around so much.
8:55But they didn't. Not when Diggs was on the field.
8:58He had a 30.7% target share. Stefan Diggs was top 12 in yards per outrun.
9:03Top 12 in yards per target. Top 12 in first downs per target.
9:07He was great. He was targeted a lot. And he was very efficient when he was on the field.
9:13He played 55% of the snaps. AJ Brown played 90% of the snaps last year.
9:18He's going to play a lot more than Diggs played last year.
9:22We know the history of Josh McDaniels with these older wide receivers trying to kind of revive their career.
9:28And I think it's going to be a big season for him.
9:32And I just thought, you know what? Everyone else I might take has question marks too.
9:37So my message to you is if you want to reach, the only thing, the only time I consider it a reach,
9:44is if ADP would suggest you can get that player in the next round.
9:48That was not going to happen with AJ Brown.
9:51He wasn't going to be there most likely for my third pick.
9:55Out of chance. So if you believe in that guy, you go get him.
9:59I figured out yesterday that I really believe in AJ Brown with more conviction than I thought I did.
10:05And I took him 17. He was wide receiver what?
10:09Eight? Nine? Nine? I don't know. I probably about that.
10:12Well, I took Jefferson at 13. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
10:16Yes. Nine. Now, Nico went before those guys. So that's a little bit of a surprise.
10:21Yeah. He and, I mean, I feel about the same way about both of them.
10:26You know? I think, but I think I prefer AJ Brown.
10:30I just, I guess I don't really, I don't even know what's to.
10:34You prefer Brown to Nico? Yeah, I do. Last week I thought.
10:38You prefer Brown to Jefferson? No. No, I would have taken Jefferson if he were there.
10:43Last week I said I like Nico. You like Brown essentially as wide receiver seven then?
10:48Eight. Eight. Well, would you have taken CeeDee Lamb ahead of him?
10:52Yeah. Okay. Interesting that you would take Lamb ahead of him but not Pickens.
10:56Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I got a lot more of a track record with Lamb.
11:01Sure. That's fair. Sure. And I like your argument.
11:04You like Brown better than Pickens? I like Brown better than Pickens.
11:08He likes Brown better than Pickens. I think I'm with you too.
11:12Yeah. And right now I like him better than Rasheed Rice.
11:15Rice, if all things were normal, I would like him better than AJ Brown.
11:20I think the fact that Rice seems to be avoiding a suspension, there could still be one that happens as we are well aware with him.
11:28But if he's not suspended, I would take Rice over Brown.
11:32But I would take Brown over Nico and Pickens as well.
11:35I feel like there's a major shortage of top tier wide receivers this year.
11:40And some people might not see AJ Brown in that top tier like you do, Adam.
11:45Some people might not see. People would want to see Rice in that tier.
11:49But if he does have a suspension or something like that, then obviously he won't.
11:54I'm not sure if everybody's a buyer on George Pickens.
11:57I'm not sure everybody's a buyer on Nico Collins.
12:00And so it just kind of shrinks where we're at with those surefire number one wide receivers.
12:05And if you feel like you've got to get one of those guys, and I don't fault you at all if you
12:12feel like you've got to get one of those guys, you're going to have to do it with the top 15 pick.
12:19Something in that range. It wasn't really about AJ Brown versus the other wide receivers.
12:24It was about him versus Hampton and Barkley specifically.
12:27And you could throw Henry in there too. And that was when I just decided I don't want to go to running
12:34backs to start a three-receiver PPR league. I would just add that it's a bad idea.
12:39If you view AJ Brown and those other running backs equally, fine.
12:43Take the one you like the best. But if you think that those running backs are going to be better than AJ
12:50Brown, but you're worried about position scarcity, I think you're setting yourself up for some failure in your fantasy teams.
12:57You always want to take the player that you believe in the most early on and then worry about position stuff later on.
13:04Yeah, I agree with that. But I don't know that I believe in the other guys.
13:09That's fair. More than him. Sure. FFT Dynasty is an awesome podcast.
13:13Check that out. Heath should be... Is he back next week?
13:16I hope he's back next week. I have some good emails from the audience specifically related to Heath and some of his recent takes.
13:24He'll enjoy them. But listen to the FFT Dynasty podcast.
13:27Watch the FFT Dynasty podcast on YouTube.com slash fantasy football today.
13:31It's in our same YouTube channel. Let's do some news and notes real quick.
13:35Jaden Daniels says he has a long way to go in the new offense.
13:40And, you know, I keep mentioning it. Cam Ward, Jackson Dart, some struggles in minicamp.
13:45Jaden Daniels has a long way to go. And I think it's interesting with Jaden Daniels and Jalen Hurts.
13:51Oh, by the way, I mentioned Dart and Ward.
13:54They have new offensive coordinators. I think it's interesting, though, with Daniels and Hurts that they are going to be under center more this year.
14:02And I don't know what that's going to look like.
14:05Well, typically it means like they're lined up against the center.
14:08Oh, OK, then never mind. I have no question.
14:11But, yeah, I mean, it's a big adjustment for these guys.
14:15So, yeah, I don't think fantasy managers are necessarily going to necessarily going to be like, well, he's under center more this year.
14:22So this is what I'm doing to his value.
14:25But it's something to keep in mind. Can I just say something that I'll say again for several times between now and the middle of August, I guess?
14:34You're going to hear a lot with not just these quarterbacks, but with almost every quarterback in some way, shape or form.
14:41They had a bad day at camp. They had a bad day in practice.
14:45They had a bad day this. That's because these coaches are trying things.
14:49And they're going to try to have them throw into tight windows.
14:53They're going to have them throw to receivers that they may not be used to throwing to because somebody's not there.
15:00They're going to be against maybe a great defense because they play on a great defense.
15:05They play on a team with a great defense.
15:08And so most of it, though, is about them trying throws that they may never, ever, ever, ever make in a game.
15:15And so when you see, oh, he had a three interception day or he had a terrible day or he was missing receivers or blah, blah, blah.
15:24Please don't panic. Please don't make that the deciding factor of what you do when your fantasy drafts.
15:29If you have conviction about a player, especially in situations like this where there's a change or a new coordinator or something that's just different, different personnel.
15:38So Drake may look miserable because he's trying to force the ball to A.J.
15:43Brown. That's a good thing. That's not a bad thing.
15:46But what if they stack bad days? Well, that's a bad week.
15:50And now we're getting toward the end of training camp or near the beginning of week one.
15:55And there's still reports that, oh, these guys aren't on the same page or this guy is impressing well.
16:01That's when I would start to get a little concerned.
16:04I think at first it comes down to what your preconceived notion is about the player.
16:09So if you're in on the player and you're excited about the player.
16:14So let's go, for example, Trevor Lawrence, right? So Trevor Lawrence is in year two in the system.
16:19He's been with this receiving core for the most part since the second half of last season on.
16:25And now here comes Travis Hunter back in the mix.
16:28And so they're trying to get Travis Hunter X, Y, Z reps and blah, blah, blah.
16:33And Trevor Lawrence has two bad days in a row.
16:37The first two practices with Travis Hunter, right? Right.
16:40Why did he have the bad day in practice?
16:42Was it because he was throwing to Travis Hunter who's working his way back and maybe did not have the best day of practice himself?
16:50But the report that you're reading is Trevor Lawrence had two interceptions on a Wednesday and three interceptions on a Thursday.
16:57And then you drill down to it. And it's because he's trying to get Travis Hunter more reps.
17:03And the defense with the third string quarterback or the fourth string quarterback that's trying to either earn a starting spot or
17:10make the team is obviously overplaying certain things because he knows where the ball is going.
17:15So it's just situations like that. I think if you know like you have a feeling on a player, you're going to probably ignore those things.
17:23If you have a positive feeling on the player, if you have a negative feeling on the player and you're going to
17:30hear these things, well, it's just another reason to say I'm not going to draft that guy.
17:36Yeah, I get it. But I would say that if you keep hearing the same thing about a player, whether it's positive
17:43or negative, it's going to stick in your head.
17:46And that's why you're absolutely right, dude. A bad day, two bad days in a row, like you brush that off like it's nothing.
17:53Almost the same way you would this player had a great day in camp and it comes out of nowhere.
18:00But when you start hearing it over and over again, whether it's positive or negative, that's when I think you can buy in a little bit more.
18:08But you're also going to hear a lot more about the guys Adam just brought up.
18:14You know, Cam Ward's going to have a lot of bad days because he's still young and trying to figure out his
18:21own game and now a new offense. Jackson Dart is now trying to figure out a new offense and getting a lot of different things thrown at him.
18:30Jalen Hurts is going to learn a new offense once again and now be under center.
18:35And so he's clearly one of the most polarizing fantasy options that we have because despite we just had a great post
18:42on one of our social sites, I think it was on Instagram.
18:46The players that have finished top 10 at their position for the last three years, Jalen Hurts is one of, I think,
18:53three quarterbacks that has finished top 10 in the position in fantasy points.
18:57That being said, we still know how people feel about him.
19:00Very similar to Kyron Williams. You know, so they're just polarizing guys.
19:04So you're going to maybe hear that. Oh, here's Jalen Hurts.
19:08He's learning a new offense. He's under center. He doesn't have A.J.
19:11Brown. I don't want to draft him. You might miss out on a top five guy.
19:17Of course. Well, he went 99th in our draft yesterday.
19:20Jalen Hurts. Yeah, that was a steal that when I saw that happen.
19:24I was so mad about taking Josh Allen when I took Josh Allen.
19:28I would have rather had everybody would rather had Jalen Hurts at 99.
19:32If you're going to take Josh Allen, you better be prepared to go.
19:36Oh, man, that quarterback. It's inevitable. There's going to be quarterback value later.
19:41But you take Josh Allen for a reason. He's better than Jalen Hurts.
19:45By the way, the guy I remember all the negative press for last year, a lot of it was Caleb Williams.
19:51Second year quarterback getting a new offensive coordinator. I remember it.
19:55I wrote it. Yeah, right. Exactly. I was there.
19:58I saw him practice. And honestly, it probably scared me off of him a little bit.
20:03I didn't really draft a lot of Caleb Williams.
20:06And he was good. He wasn't amazing. But 21 points per game last year, something like that.
20:11The crazy part about it was his offensive line was so bad.
20:15And there were reports of it going into the joint practice against Buffalo, and it was bad against Buffalo.
20:21And now how do we view that offensive line compared to the rest of the league?
20:26Like, it's not one of the best offensive lines, but it's pretty damn good.
20:31So as long as they continue on that trajectory, I mean, everybody's kind of assuming that they will and that Caleb will be awesome.
20:38Everyone's drafting Caleb to be a starting fantasy QB.
20:41But that's a great example, Adam. Rapid fire news and notes.
20:45George Pickens says he's fine playing on the franchise tag.
20:48Lad McConkie has a strained hamstring, but he expects to be ready for training camp.
20:53Dan Campbell likes what he sees from wide receiver Isaac Tesla.
20:56Unfortunately, I just don't think we can rely on Tesla for fantasy.
21:00Bo Nix said he could be a full go right now if he wanted to.
21:05Bo Nix, good stuff. Saints defensive end Cam Jordan re-signed.
21:08One-year deal as could be his last year in the NFL.
21:12Chris Olave scheduled to get off blood thinners for his blood clot on June 29th.
21:17Ross Jackson of LouisianaSports.net wrote about Oscar Delp, the rookie tight end for the Saints.
21:21He had a standout day at Saints. Can't remember their wide receivers are hurt, so that helps Oscar Delp get targets.
21:28And how he's going to be used more in the Saints offense than he was in the Georgia offense.
21:34Georgia offense didn't really use Oscar Delp very much.
21:37And Saints running back Devin Neal has a, quote, little injury, end quote.

23:29RJ Harvey's clear with his shoulder injury. Okay. RJ is clear with his shoulder injury.
23:33Thank you, Jamie. Nice job, Micro Machines Man. Hey, someone has to be Dan today.
23:38All right. Here come the emails from Justin. Rank these sleeper running backs for me.
23:43Okay. Looking for decent floors if I punt RB.
23:46Interesting you're looking for floor here. But R.J. Oh, Rashad White, R.J.
23:50Harvey, Chris Rodriguez, Tyje Spears, and Rico Dowdle. How would you rank Rashad White, R.J.
23:55Harvey, Chris Rodriguez, Tyje Spears, Rico Dowdle? From a floor standpoint?
23:58I guess so. If he punts RB. The first two for me would be Rashad White 1 and Rico Dowdle 2 from a floor standpoint.
24:06In that order? Yes. I'd flip the order, but it's those two for me also.
24:11So I think in the case of Rashad White, you know what you're getting right now.
24:16And the ceiling could be he's the best running back in Washington.
24:20Same thing for Rico Dowdle, but I think the competition is a little bit stiffer for what he's dealing with.
24:26Austin Eckler averaged 2.9 catches per game with Washington in 2024.
24:30That's Austin Eckler, like the best receiving back of his era, basically, or one of them.
24:35So I did want to – I don't know that the opportunities are really going to be there for White the way he was in Tampa Bay.
24:43So the two counters I would have for that is – that was Austin Eckler at 29 or 30.
24:50And that was also with a different coordinator. 29, yeah.
24:53Yeah, it is. Just Gene Daniels isn't going to throw as much.
24:57He might not throw as much. Yeah, and his receiving court that year was – Same.
25:02A little bit better. Okay. And Rashad White has three seasons on his resume?
25:06Two for sure. I think three of 50 catches?
25:09Yeah. Yeah. Sure. He can get there. I'm just worried about just how many carries he can get on top of it.
25:16He's 50 catches, by the way, basically. I mean, with – Yeah, sure.
25:20Yeah, yeah. 17 times 3 is 51. That's pretty good.
25:23Yeah. He's been good in gap scheme runs, and I think the commanders are going to still stick with that.
25:30That's an Anthony Lynn specialty. He's still on that staff.
25:33And so there's a chance that he might just end up being the better fit for that scheme compared to Krosky Merritt.
25:40But I love Dowdle's opportunity. I love that the coaching staff knows what they've got in him.
25:46He's not a bad pass catcher himself. I think there's more ceiling with the same floor for Dowdle than there is with Rashad White.
25:53I don't think White has the same type of ceiling that Dowdle has.
25:57Next, Dean. Just while we're on the topic, Pops just asked in the chat, has there been any buzz on Catron Allen?
26:04Yes, there has. He's had a strong minicamp as well.
26:08So I think just the backfield is wide open in Washington, and that's why I give a slight edge to Rashad White
26:15because it wouldn't shock me if he's just given his resume, which I think is probably the best resume of anybody in that team right now.
26:23In that backfield is potentially the starter there. Yeah, and Andy says, White's yards per carry I can't get over.
26:29I understand he's a pass specialist, but he plays running back.
26:33But actually, he's really improved, Andy, in yards per carry.
26:36He's become a better rusher over the last few years.
26:39Did he become a runner? Was the scheme better for him, and was the production just better because the offensive line was better too?
26:47I don't think the offensive line was better last year.
26:50I mean, they missed their center for the entire— No, no.
26:54I was thinking more at the end of the previous year.
26:57Maybe. So yards per carry for White, 3.7, 3.6, 4.3, 4.3 in four years.
27:02Okay. And he has, yes, three seasons of 50 or more catches.
27:05Next question is from Steve in New Jersey. And he says, Dear Patrick, Walt, Willis, and Jalen.
27:11Next. That's right. He forgot Jeremy. He forgot Derek.
27:14Are you talking about Jeremy Lin? Because I am wearing my Jeremy Lin shirt right now.
27:19That's a Nick shirt you're wearing? Yeah. I only have two Nick shirts, and one of them is a Jeremy Lin shirtsy.
27:26What is more important for a fantasy-wide receiver? One, being the clear focal point of the offense or having another talented receiver
27:33to prevent defenses from keying on him? This is an easy one for me, but I'll let you guys answer.
27:39I mean, I feel like it's both. No, to me, it's definitely being the focal point of the offense.
27:45100%. And he brought up Puka Nakua with Devante Adams.
27:49I would say that Adams greatly reduced Puka Nakua's touchdown upside.
27:52In fact, I think Nakua had like some crazy stat.
27:55Like half of his end zone targets in the games that Adams didn't play.
28:00And there was like three games. But also, one of the reasons I wasn't that concerned, I remember having the debate with you guys.
28:08Are you concerned about Puka Nakua with Devante Adams?
28:10I was like, no. Because if you look, Cooper Cup actually had a huge role in 2024.
28:16So I felt like Adams could step into a big role and Puka could still be fine.
28:21And Adams really didn't get that many targets. He just got a lot of touchdowns.
28:26But I am all about... In fact, who was number one receiver last year?
28:31Was it Chase? Puka. It was Puka? If you look at number one receivers, like the number one overall receiver, they almost
28:38never have a high target number two guy with them.
28:41And Adams had 114 targets in 14 games, which is a lot.
28:45But overall, it's 114 targets, not that many. I mean, you think about the top four guys last year.
28:51Puka had a running mate that took a step back in Adams from a target standpoint where he's typically been.
28:57Chase with Higgins. Higgins is usually targeted enough but not uber targeted like Chase is.
29:02Because JSN had nobody. So that's a big favor for him.
29:05And then Amara St. Brown, you had Laporta missing half the season and JMO not doing much in the first half of the season when Laporta was there.
29:14Yeah. So that's... Jamie and I say... Well, Dave at least said both.
29:19So the bottom line is less target competition is better.
29:22Well, I mean, you think about the two of the best players last year.
29:26And Che McBride's targets were fantastic. And at least for me, that's a question mark for this year is because if Marvin
29:33Harrison stays healthy and Michael Wilson can not do what he did last year when he was playing at his best, but
29:40obviously build off of that to some degree, then you have a target crunch.
29:45Plus, you have a much better run game. I think about that all the time with Che McBride because, you know, I forgot what I said.
29:53It was about 55 routes or something like that late in the season after Michael Wilson had emerged where they were all on the field together.
30:01Harrison, Wilson, McBride. And they all had a 20% target share or something like that.
30:06It's such a small sample size, but I think about that all the time.
30:11I like Powers more than McBride this year. I know.
30:14And a lot of people do. I said yesterday they're basically back-to-back in ADP, which is insane when you think about what they did last year.
30:22But they led the NFL in past attempts to Cardinals.
30:25They didn't have any games really where all three guys were healthy and all three guys were established.
30:31But then I go, man, it's been two and a half years of Trey McBride being this heavily targeted.
30:37Is that really going to change? And I have a big internal struggle with that.
30:42Dave, you're kind of like... I don't think he averages 10 targets per game, but I think he averages over 8.
30:49I think he's just too good of a player.
30:52And as long as Brissette's the quarterback, he's got a track record of leaning on his tight ends that goes back to 1972.
30:59It's going to be there for McBride. I don't mind that you like Bowers better.
31:04I think he's got tons of upside himself. But even in Bowers' rookie year where we loved him, he was awesome.
31:10McBride averaged more PPR points per game than he did.
31:14It was basically dead even, but he had a little bit more and he had almost...
31:19He had a little bit more in terms of target shares.
31:22Nine to like eight and a half, something like that between the two of them.
31:27They're both really good. Whichever one I can get second is the one I want.
31:32By the way, you mentioned 1972. The Dolphins also won the Super Bowl in 72.
31:37Did they? How many losses did they have? They also won in 73, right?
31:41They did. Just saying, the last time the Knicks won the championship, the Dolphins also won the Super Bowl.
31:47So, Dolphins fans, there's some reason to be optimistic.
31:50So, the parade is going on right now. If your team won the championship, would you go to the parade?
31:57Yes, I did. You did? Which parade you went to?
32:00When I was a kid, the first two Chicago Bulls parades and rallies at Grant Park in Chicago.
32:05Oh. I was a kid. I was thinking of things I'd rather do than go to the parade today.
32:12And I thought, dentist, lobotomy, vasectomy, just many things.
32:14You have another vasectomy? Snip, snap. I hate parades.
32:17I would never go to a parade. Never. What if your team wanted to go?
32:22I'll go to the Magic Kingdom parade and watch the fireworks.
32:26Other than that, I'm parking. Just everything about parades is just a mess.
32:30They pass by you for five seconds and then went, oh, I got a video of it on my phone.
32:36Not for me. What if you were in the parade?
32:39Would you go? No, I would call it sick.
32:42What's your answer, Jamie? Are you a parade guy?
32:45I would not go to a parade. I actually regret because I didn't know it was happening and I had my whole family with me.
32:53But when Florida won the national championship, we were in San Antonio.
32:57They went down the river after the game, like late at night.
33:01And had I known that they were going to do that, I would have gone out there to watch them.
33:07Small. Yeah, that's fun. Next question. Devin, a longtime listener, wants a short segment about possible punishments for a last place finish.
33:14I really like the idea of having the last place guy or girl go to a local comedy club and have to
33:21do a five-minute set on open mic night. Did you see the one recently where the person had to go trick-or-treating?
33:28Yes. Amazing. Amazing. In June, he's going trick-or-treating. Can you imagine somebody showed up at your house?
33:33Dressed up. I forgot what he was dressed up as.
33:37It was so funny. Did he have a sign or anything that says, lost my fantasy league, have to go trick-or-treating?
33:43No, you can't do it like that. You just got to go show up.
33:48I think he told people, if I remember. But that was so funny.
33:52And it went viral. I never know if anything's real these days, but I'm pretty sure that was real.
33:58The open mic night is arguably better. I love it.
34:01You guys have any other suggestions? I always default to the one that I heard about a league in Boston where the
34:08last place team has to pay for a bus ride to Omaha, Nebraska, and then take the bus ride.
34:14From Boston to Omaha. And then he can get back any way he wants.
34:19But that's the punishment. Yeah, Schneier likes to have the loser just take flights around the country all day.
34:25They book connecting flights and just spend a day on an airplane, basically.
34:29Multiple airplanes. I mean, my wife has done that to get her mileage.
34:33Oh, really? Yeah, she flew to California once just to get her.
34:37She had a certain amount of – because she flies a lot for work.
34:42So she had to get a certain status. So she needed one more trip.
34:46So she – So she picked California instead of Orlando?
34:49I don't know. No, she had a mile. She needed miles, bro.
34:53Oh, I see. Come on. All right. Next question is from Ace.
34:57Did she at least get in and out burger while she was there?
35:01I think she just turned – landed, turned around, and came out.
35:05I don't remember. This was a long time ago.
35:08Wow. That's dedication to the – I mean, her punishment is being married to me.
35:13Yeah. Yeah, it is a punishment. This is from Ace, and he says – he's thinking about draft day discounts.
35:19He's thinking about Tyrone Tracy. He loves his ADP with Scadaboo being – coming back from an injury and just being so physical.
35:26And his crazy last pick is Devon Vele. You got Jordan Tyson, who's had health concerns, and Chris Olave, who's had some health issues as well.
35:35So he likes Devon Vele. What do you guys think, Jamie?
35:38What do you think about Vele? I mean, it's not a bad theory, just going with the idea that both guys are
35:45banged up and clearly Kellen Moore's receivers have a chance to play well.
35:49He had an opportunity last year and didn't really take advantage of it.
35:54I know he got hurt, but I think anytime you're talking about receivers based on injuries and hoping that guy step up, you really got to get lucky.
36:02So, like, I know he had a good minicamp.
36:05Ryan Flannoy, you know, had gotten some buzz because of maybe, okay, well, if there's an injury and George Pickens was a contract situation.
36:13Like, that is a similar type scenario. You know, so you could probably look at a lot of number three receivers and
36:20say if this happens, if injury happens. You know, Troy Franklin, for example, if Cortland Sutton or Dalen Waddell get hurt.
36:27You know, Franklin went 100 targets last year and was somebody that had some buzz.
36:32Trey Harris, just somebody mentioned in the chat. You know, that's somebody that can have a big opportunity if Quentin Johnson or
36:39Ladon McConkie and McConkie now dealing with a hamstring injury, if that materializes.
36:43So there's probably a lot of Devon Vele types that we can go through on every roster and say, okay, this guy's
36:50got a chance just based on what their opportunity could be in some pass-friendly offense.
36:55I'll give you the flip side of it, which didn't work out really, but Yoshivas in Cincinnati.
37:00Like, we love that offense. We love that passing attack.
37:03We, you know, see at times Tee Higgins misses because of injury.
37:07I think it was two years ago Jamar Chase missed a couple games.
37:11It doesn't always, you know, come to pass that that guy steps up or that particular player steps up.
37:17Now, in the case of Vele in this scenario that they're laying out, it's two receivers missing, so maybe that changes some things.
37:25But I think if you're just talking about, like, wide receiver handcuffs, like, you've got to have a really deep bench to
37:32carry somebody like Devon Vele after a draft in a regular 12-team league.
37:36I would think of him as somebody that I could pick up off the waiver wire.
37:41So, why draft him when I can just go get him if he has a good week one?
37:47That obviously makes the most sense. But clearly, if we get to week one and Olave's still dealing with the blood clot
37:54situation and Jordan Tite- Oh, then we're drafting Vele.
37:57Then everybody's drafting Vele. Right. Same thing. I'd love to draft a Raiders wide receiver in every single draft.
38:03That's enough on Devon Vele. All right. No, I'm not talking about Vele.
38:07I'm talking about the Raiders. I'm talking about a late-round pick.
38:10I think in the case of the Raiders, like, that's an easy – like, I took Trey Tucker yesterday.
38:17Jalen Naylor went, I think, around before. And I've seen Jack Besh get drafted quite a bit.
38:22Say it. You're Besh. You're Besh. I've heard a lot about Dante Thornton.
38:26We're all over the place with these guys. There's easy – I think it's easy to take a swing at that because
38:33there's – that you could see happening. I think the same thing, you know, once we get to camp and it's –
38:40hopefully Chris Bell, but, you know, Jalen Tolbert's the one that got buzzed recently.
38:45Malik Washington's got some buzz. You know, somebody's going to take a chance on a Dolphins receiver.
38:50I would much rather do that on draft day than I would Devon Vele right now.
38:55One of our producers, Sam, has a punishment. He says, my league punishment is you have to bowl a 300, and every
39:02hot dog you eat is 10 pins off your score.
39:05You stay until you eat enough hot dogs to bowl a high enough score to leave.
39:11Wow. That's a punishment? I would eat – yeah, man.
39:14I'd have to eat like 17 hot dogs, maybe more.
39:17That's a lot of hot dogs. Well, I saw Sam's draft yesterday, so we might have to start calling him Oscar Mayer.
39:24Nice troll job there. All right, we've got to take a break.
39:28We have a great question about drops and the Jaguars and Broncos letting down Lawrence and Knicks last year.
39:34We'll read it when we come back on Fantasy Football today.
39:37Happy 250th birthday, America. I've decided to spend this semi-quincentennial as our founding fathers would have wanted me to.

41:30Question here from Jake from Clayton, California. Have you been to Clayton, California, Dave?
41:35No. Okay, well now you can add it. Not knowingly.
41:38You can add it to Clayton, Georgia. Oh, how was it?
41:42It's great. Okay. Dear John, Jack, and Josh. These are, I will, I'll spoil it.
41:46They're former Raiders head coaches. If drops are... John Gruden?
41:50Not John Madden. Oh, probably. Well, which one was J-O-N?
41:53John Gruden. Gruden. If drops are generally considered inconsistent year to year, why aren't we talking more about the unusually high number
42:00of drops that Trevor Lawrence and Bo Nix dealt with last season?
42:04The league average drop rate was 4.22%. Those guys were like 6, 7%.
42:08They were very high. Let's see. Lawrence was 6% and Nix was not 7%.
42:12No, he was. He was 7%. Trevor Lawrence, 7%.
42:15Trevor Lawrence was 6% the year before. In fact, that's the end of the question.
42:20Thank you, Jake. Jake from Clayton, California. You didn't butcher that at all.
42:24Yeah, no, right? Trevor Lawrence has the highest drop rate in the NFL by far since entering the league five years ago.
42:31His drop rate is 5.9%. I say it's his drop rate.
42:35It's his receiver's drop rate. The second highest drop rate belongs to Bo Nix and Ben Roethlisberger at 5.3%.
42:41So Lawrence is at 5.9%. After that, it's three guys at 5.2%.
42:45Over the last five years, Ryan Tannehill, Jaden Daniels, and Daniel Jones.
42:48Daniel Jones has had a really bad receiver drop rate throughout his career.
42:53And it was a lot better last year. And he did better last year.
42:57So another guy who had a big improvement in drop rate last year was Aaron Rodgers.
43:022024, Rodgers, his receivers had a 6.7% drop rate.
43:05Last year, 3.8%. And it didn't do anything for his stats.
43:09His completion percentage went up a little, but his yards per attempt was exactly the same.
43:14So Dave, what do you make of that? It is a good point.
43:18The receivers really let Lawrence and Knicks down last year.
43:21What do you make of it? If there's evidence that it was a one-off year for these quarterbacks, then sure, we could
43:28include that in part of the calculus for how we project them.
43:32But if you're telling me that it's been a high rate for Trevor Lawrence and Bo Nix really since they've been in
43:39the league, then it's just something I should expect to see continue.
43:43Yeah, I don't know. I only looked at maybe 15 passes of Trevor Lawrence to see what was up.
43:49I guess maybe I would say some of the short balls he might put a little more touch on.
43:55But these are really just bad drops. You know, like some really bad drops.
43:59So I don't know. It's weird for somebody to have this bad of a drop rate, especially because his receivers have changed so much throughout the years.
44:08I don't know what to make of it. I'm trying to get a look right now at what the drop rates have
44:15been year over year for Trevor Lawrence. And it's been like right around 6% pretty much every year.
44:21Last year was 7%. Right. I think Brian Thomas Jr.
44:24might have had a hand in that. Yeah. Unintended.
44:27And Bo Neck's was at 4.4 as a rookie and then up to 6% last year.
44:32I think Troy Franklin had a hand in that.
44:35Because Franklin, if I recall, had a very high drop rate last year.
44:39Sutton was also up there in drops. Yeah. One of those guys just got replaced by Jalen Waddle.
44:45Look, it's a good point. But we're already kind of counting that for Knicks that having an improvement at wide receiver will help him.
44:52And we'll see how Trevor does with this receiving core going into its, I don't know, can we say second year when they were only there?
45:01You know, Washington emerges and Myers was traded there.
45:04I mean, their second year. There's big time improvement there and a chance for that number to go back down.
45:10All right. This is from Dave from Chicago. Ha!
45:13Here I am. Says, hey, Christian, Weston, Tyler, and Geo.
45:16Christian Weston? Mm-hmm. I'd like to think I would have gotten this even if I didn't see the answer.
45:22Christian Pulisic. Weston McKinney. Nice. Geo Reyna. And I don't know who Tyler is.
45:27I'm not that big of a fan. Algier. Tomorrow, 3 o'clock.
45:30USA, let's go. All right. He's got to keep two as long as you want.
45:35No penalty. It is a super flex league. Four point per passing touchdown.
45:39Three receivers. PPR. Keep two. Bijan. JSN. Drake May.
45:42Oh. It's super flex? Yeah. Super flex. Four point per passing.
45:46Touchdown. I'm not giving back Bijan and JSN. As good as May is.
45:50Oh. Oh, man. I don't think there's a right answer here.
45:53Or a wrong one. All right. I would probably do Bijan and May.
45:57Yeah. I can't give May back. I think I'd go May and JSN and throw Bijan back.
46:03There you go. Yeah. That's the least helpful answer we've ever given.
46:07All right. Question here. Who's this from? Who is this from?
46:10I wonder if you could trade two. If you're allowed trades.
46:14Like if you trade two of those for Josh Allen.
46:17And you just keep the third. Oh, yeah. Right.
46:20Because you can't. You know. So May and. Now you're trading a player that you wouldn't otherwise be allowed to keep.
46:27I don't know if that's cool with the commish.
46:29This is. Adam would probably allow it. But Heath would not.
46:33I don't know. Well, if you keep. If you trade a person.
46:37If you trade those two players. Then this person who acquired them has to keep them.
46:42And then it's fine. Right? All right. Question from Shapiro.
46:45Did I get that wrong? Did I? I mean, I personally don't think it's right for you to be able to trade a player you wouldn't otherwise keep.
46:54Like you'd have to first declare your keepers. And then once the keepers are declared, you can trade them away.
47:00Okay. This is a question from Shapiro. Which running back duo is more likely to become the closest thing to a true 50-50 split this season?
47:09Kyron Williams and Blake Corum or DeAndre Swift and Kyle Menongai?
47:12Yes. The Rams duo. Well, just give some numbers.
47:15Last 11 games of 2025. That's when the split began for the Rams.
47:19Kyron Williams, 15 carries per game. Blake Corum, 10.5.
47:22For the Bears, it was also the last 11 games.
47:25DeAndre Swift, I don't have carries per game, but he was on pace for 237 carries.
47:30And Menongai was on pace for 187. Let me do the math.
47:34I have to do that. 187 on the... So that's...
47:38Okay. 187 divided by 17. I got that, Dave.
47:40It's a pretty close... Based on last year, it was Kyron Williams, 15 carries.
47:45Blake Corum, 10.5. It was DeAndre Swift, 14 carries.
47:48Kyle Menongai, 11 carries. So, similar. Maybe my worry is that Kyron loses the grip and it flips.
47:54And it's Corum that's getting 15 carries and Kyron's getting 10.5.
47:57And that's why I said... Which backup running back do you take first, Menongai or Corum?
48:02Menongai. But it was close. I believe I have Menongai higher.
48:06All right. I do. Wait, did I take a second break ever?
48:09No, I don't think you have yet. No. Oh, boy.
48:13All right. Second break. Let's do it. We got a question from Professor Chaos when we come back.
48:18What did we think of my Butters impression there?
48:21Weirdly timed. Well, it's a question from Professor Chaos.
48:24And he says, I know you're bummed about the theft of greater late.
48:28So, I give you this gem. Are these players going to take a big jump or a big dump?
48:34Please take credit for this as I don't want it.
48:38I don't want it either, Professor Chaos. I don't really see myself saying that.
48:42But you never know. I'll throw it in once or twice.
48:46All right. This question is from Maggie. It's a keeper question.
48:49Undrafted players in this league can be kept in the 10th round.
48:53If both players fall into the category, they become rounds 9 and 10 picks.
48:57So, you'll see more than one player listed as a round 10 pick.
49:02Good. And managers can only keep players twice. This is a half PPR, super flex league.
49:07I can keep two. Who are you keeping? Trevor Lawrence in round 5.
49:11Jackson Dart in round 10. Trey McBride in round 2.
49:14Emeka Buka in round 6. Tedderola McMillan in round 4.
49:17Michael Pittman in round 10. Kyle Monongai in round 10.
49:21I'm going to go ahead and say... Super flex?
49:23Yeah, dart. Super flex. Half PPR. Dart in round 10, right?
49:27Start with that? Yeah. I think so. Okay. Boom in round 10?
49:31Dart. Jackson Dart? Easy. Yeah. Okay. So, I'll give you the other options again.
49:35I don't think we're going to do Pittman or Monongai in round 10.
49:39I don't think. No. Trevor Lawrence round 5. Trey McBride round 2.
49:43Emeka Buka round 6. Tedderola McMillan round 4. The only one of those guys I think you're getting good value on is Lawrence.
49:51It's either Lawrence or a Buka. And since it's super flex, I would just take the two quarterbacks and then load up everywhere.
49:58Yeah. All right. This is from Josh. Oh. How about this?
50:01Dear Christian, Tyler, Weston, and Fulleran. I don't know how to pronounce that guy's name.
50:06What are the odds that either that is the same email?
50:10No. And you just forgot to take it out?
50:13Or that they actually had the same name? It's the second thing.
50:16Oh, I took three breaks, I'm being told. Thanks, guys, for letting me down on that.
50:22I don't remember the second break at all. I don't remember.
50:25You know, the audience has been asking for more breaks.
50:28So it's nice that we can finally deliver. All right.
50:32Take a break after this question? Josh is saying that there's a song called Big Iron.
50:37It's a classic Western ballad sung by the great Marty Robbins.
50:40It tells the story of a duel between the outlaw known as Texas Red and a nameless Arizona Ranger on a mission to bring Texas Red to justice.
50:49The song includes these lines. The morning passed so quickly it was time for them to meet.
50:55It was 20 past 11 when they walked out in the street.
50:58In other words, the duel happened at 1120 a.m.
51:01after the morning had passed. This proves that Adam is right and 1130 is the afternoon.
51:06No, it doesn't. Yes, it does. This is big iron.
51:10The morning passed so quickly, meaning that the morning is still going on.
51:14No, it passed and then 1120 came and they dueled.
51:17Come on, are you going to argue with the great Marty Robbins?
51:21So if I say this show has passed so quickly, is it over?
51:25Yeah. No. It is? Oh, crap. I think you're right.
51:28All right. This last one is from Justin. This is in response to something Heath was talking about.
51:34Now, if you said you passed gas, that's over.
51:37That is over. Exactly. Oh, maybe. All right. All right.
51:40Honest question. How many times do you fart during the show?
51:43During your show? Yeah. Oh, geez. I mean, today it's zero.
51:47Oh, like it's just a it doesn't have to be every day.
51:51I don't know what the average. This is horror.
51:54This is disgusting. Why is this? Because nobody wants to hear about this is disgusting.
51:59And the answer is less than you. Oh, I fart all the time.
52:03Yeah, you do. I know. I know. You farted, yeah.
52:06All right. From Justin. Subject line is Justin Herbert versus Jalen Hurts.
52:10Because I think her J. I think Heath was making the case for as an NFL quarterback.
52:15NFL. For Hurts over Herbert. To give Heath some credit in this argument, people all the time say Jalen Hurts is nowhere
52:22near the level of guys like Justin Herbert. Sure, he doesn't throw as pretty of a ball as Herbert.
52:28However, if Herbert is that much better than Hurts, then shouldn't he need this?
52:33Then why should he need the same type of situation as Hurts does?
52:37If these guys need great situations like Hurts has to succeed, then they cannot be multiple tiers above Hurts, who has already
52:44shown he can succeed in this league. Also, I would argue outperforming the second greatest quarterback of all time in the Super
52:51Bowl should hold more weight than a 1 p.m.
52:54game against the Raiders in the regular season. That's a good way of putting it.
52:59I think the problem when you look at two guys like this is you have their prospects coming into the league, and
53:06that sticks with people in some cases forever. So, yes, a lot of it is the aesthetics.
53:11When Justin Herbert throws the football, he looks better throwing the football at Jalen Hurts.
53:16Jalen Hurts has benefited from being surrounded by a lot of great talent, mostly on his offensive line, where Justin Herbert has sort of struggled with that.
53:25But Jalen Hurts just gets crapped on way too much.
53:28It's just ridiculous. I mean, like, obviously his win-loss record speaks for itself.
53:32He's a Super Bowl champion. He's done everything he's needed to do since coming into the NFL as not a first-round talent,
53:39as someone that's had to change schools and prove himself at a different place after being benched for a guy who probably
53:46has lesser talent overall, but more of a pedigree.
53:49So, I think just in the case of what Jalen Hurts has accomplished, it clearly speaks for itself.
53:55He's also in a spot in a city that gets much more scrutiny than Justin Herbert.
54:00You know, you're in a bigger media market. You're in an East Coast city versus a West Coast city.
54:06That's always going to get a little bit more attention, especially if you live on the East Coast.
54:12So, there's a lot that just, I think, goes into it.
54:15But, look, Justin Herbert's got still a lot to prove.
54:18And, I'm sure if you just, you know, I know Heath does this a lot.
54:23You know, just the blind resumes of, you know, would you take player A or player B?
54:29Justin Herbert's resume is not as good as Jalen Hurts'.
54:32It's just, it is. I hope it gets there.
54:35I think he can. But, you know, look, it's just one of those things where people, unfortunately, look at certain players from where they start.
54:43No matter what happens, you still have those preconceived notions.
54:46It's also two different styles. Jalen Hurts isn't the same type of quarterback as Justin Herbert.
54:51That goes into what you were saying, Jamie, about like who they were coming out.
54:56And it just so happens that in Philadelphia, they've done an amazing job of tailoring their offense to Jalen Hurts' strengths.
55:02And the Chargers have done the exact same thing, or at least they've tried to with Justin Herbert.
55:08I would pose this question. I don't know if this is the best way to judge.
55:13And you're certainly not going to judge him this way compared to other quarterbacks.
55:18But if you took Jalen Hurts out of Philadelphia and you put him in LA and you put him in the same
55:25system that the Chargers have been running, how would he do?
55:28And I would say he probably wouldn't do as well as Justin Herbert.
55:32And if you took Justin Herbert and you put him into the same offense and the same style that the Eagles are running, how would he do?
55:41I would say that he, I don't think he'd be as good of a runner, but I think he'd be a little bit better as a passer.
55:50There'd probably be better efficiency there. And so maybe by that guessing metric, you could say that Herbert's better than Hurts just by switching their teams.
55:58But based on how they are and how they're using the offense they're in, I think there's no question that Hurts just has that perfect fit.
56:06One stat that really shocks me is that Justin Herbert has a lower career interception rate than Jalen Hurts.
56:12When I think about Hurts, I think the best thing he does is he just doesn't turn the ball over.
56:19He's conservative in that sense. And people criticize him, I guess, for not taking shots enough.
56:24But he wins games because he doesn't turn the ball over.
56:27But amazingly, I didn't realize Justin Herbert has a 1.7% career interception rate.
56:32And that's after last year when it was actually a career high 2.5%.
56:36Jalen Hurts is at 1.9% in his career. And that's after two straight years where it's 1.4 and 1.3.
56:42So in three of the last four years, Jalen Hurts is at a 1.4% interception rate or lower, which is amazing.
56:49But I was surprised Justin Herbert really doesn't turn the ball over much either.
56:53At least not with, I don't know about fumbles, but at least not with interceptions.
56:58I'm going to go back and watch the last, I don't know, 25 episodes of our show and see if I can figure out your fart face.
57:07You know, it's probably, it's probably a little shoulder raise, I would guess.
57:11Well, yeah. Now you don't know what's happening when I raise the shoulders.
57:15Am I getting angry or am I just getting a little more relaxed?
57:19Um, thanks, uh, everybody for watching and listening. Hope you have a great three-day weekend, baby.
57:24Um, happy Juneteenth. And we'll talk to you on Monday on Fantasy Football Today.
57:29See ya. ...podcasts. It's always amazing to see how quickly your child grows.
57:33And I'm not just talking about their height. From those early babbles to full-on storytelling.
57:38Getting to watch how their ideas, creativity, and confidence develop over the years is honestly pretty incredible.
57:43Sometimes they surprise you with what they come up with.
57:46And Lego bricks can be right there with them through all of those stages.
57:51It's not just a toy. It's a full creative building journey that keeps evolving as they do.
57:56Lego Sets Play starts as early as one and a half with Lego Duplo, the bigger bricks designed for little hands that
58:03are just starting to explore and build. Then around age four, kids transition to the smaller Lego bricks.
58:09And suddenly, you're watching real structures take shape, real ideas form, and their imagination really take off.
58:14They begin with simple stacking, but over time they grow into full-on creators, building worlds, stories, and things you never would have expected.
58:22That's the kind of magic of Lego bricks. You're not buying a phase.
58:26You're starting a journey. Learn more and start building today with Lego bricks.
