A.J. Brown

PositiveValue61:04

Square. Get moved A.J. Brown ahead of Drake London in their rankings after being close between the two players.

Insight page

Aaron Jones

PositiveUsage63:50

Aaron Jones is effectively the starter for the Vikings and should not be discounted. He splits time with Jordan Mason, but Jones remains the primary option on passing downs, which is where he provides significant value.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveSleeper5:53

Braylon Allen is viewed as a potential winner if Breece Hall misses time. Heath Cummings has moved him up in rankings to the round 12-14 range, though he remains behind other preferred handcuffs.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeInjury3:35

Breece Hall left practice with a non-contact groin injury, which was later confirmed as a strain by Aaron Glenn. While the team is downplaying the severity, the injury creates uncertainty for his availability in early drafts.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection53:38

Cam Ward struggled in his preseason debut, completing only three of eight passes with a 3.8 ADOT, leading analysts to express concern about his ability to grasp the new offensive system.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeProjection53:28

Heath downgraded Carnell Tate from round six to round seven, citing concerns about Cam Ward's poor preseason performance and the overall struggles of the Titans' passing game.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection24:38

Chris Olave is a riser who has moved firmly into the top 12 wide receivers and is a potential round two pick, largely due to Jordan Tyson's injury; Olave historically performed better without Rashid Shahid, averaging 9.9 targets and 20 PPR points per game in that scenario.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeInjury3:47

Christian McCaffrey is missing practice due to tightness. While the team downplays it, the lack of clarity and his injury history (specifically the 2022 calf/Achilles issue) have led analysts to downgrade him in rankings due to the risk of a lingering problem.

Insight page
NegativeProjection59:36

Jamie moved Christian McCaffrey down to 12th overall in his rankings following preseason developments.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

PositiveUsage60:57

Courtland Sutton had a big game during the preseason matchup against the Bills, and there is no reason to panic regarding his fantasy outlook.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveUsage6:09

DeAndre Swift showed strong usage trends, maintaining a pace of over 230 carries regardless of Kyle Monongai's involvement. The team's increased commitment to the run game makes him an exciting fantasy prospect.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

NegativeValue68:18

Devontae Smith is being compared to Zay Flowers in a fantasy bet, with Square. Get debating his scoring potential relative to Flowers.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeProjection59:52

Jamie dropped Drake London one spot in his rankings (now behind A.J. Brown) due to concerns regarding the Falcons' offense and Tua's poor preseason performance.

Insight page
NegativeValue61:04

Square. Get moved A.J. Brown ahead of Drake London in their rankings after being close between the two players.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

PositiveSleeper38:42

Emmitt Johnson is a riser and a potential Kenneth Walker handcuff; he appears to be ahead of Amore Di Mercado on the depth chart and is a strong late-round flyer.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeUsage46:57

Heath moved Isaiah Likely down his rankings (from round seven to the eight-nine turn) due to poor snap share in the preseason opener, where he played only six of 16 first-team snaps, and increased competition from Malachi Fields.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveUsage66:28

Jalen Coker played 45% of his snaps in the slot, with the team moving him and Terrace Marshall McMillan around, which Square. Get views positively.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

NegativeDepth Chart65:25

Square. Get questions the Denver backfield depth, noting that Jadon Blue and Malik Davis are competing for backup roles, with the situation described as one of the worst in the NFL.

Insight page

Jaydon Blue

NegativeDepth Chart65:25

Jadon Blue showed little in his preseason opportunity, recording eight carries for only 19 yards, failing to distinguish himself in the Denver backfield.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury3:44

Jeremiah Love is dealing with a high ankle sprain. Historical data on high ankle sprains for running backs suggests a potential three-week recovery timeline and performance regression upon return, leading to a cautious outlook despite his preseason flashes.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveSleeper24:48

Jonah Coleman is a riser and a valuable lottery ticket running back; if J.K. Dobbins misses time, the backfield will likely be a shared situation where Sean Payton will find ways to get Coleman on the field.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeValue62:48

Jonathan Brooks had two bad runs in the preseason game, though Square. Get notes the left guard position was struggling due to Rob Hunt being out. Square. Get suggests fantasy managers should be thankful his ADP didn't spike due to a long touchdown run.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeUsage63:50

Jordan Mason is being used as a first and second-down back for the Vikings. While he has sleeper appeal, he is not expected to play on passing downs, limiting his ceiling to a middle-round draft pick who may rely on touchdowns.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveValue22:29

Josh Allen is currently being drafted at pick 24, which represents a significant discount compared to previous years where top quarterbacks were off the board much earlier.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveProjection24:57

Juwan Johnson has moved into the top 15 tight ends, as he remains the feature tight end for the Saints despite the presence of rookies who typically take time to develop.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveProjection48:08

Heath moved Kyle Pitts ahead of Isaiah Likely in full PPR rankings, citing Pitts' usage on slip screens when Tua is pressured, which provides easy reception opportunities.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveValue12:13

Kyron Williams is preferred over Jeremiah Love by the analysts due to his safer profile and established history, especially given the uncertainty surrounding Love's high ankle sprain.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveValue22:30

Lamar Jackson is currently a round four pick (ADP 42), but is expected to creep into round three as the season approaches and more casual drafters enter the market.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

NegativeDepth Chart52:22

Heath moved Makai Lemon down his rankings, placing him behind Casey Concepcion, because Lemon missed significant offseason time and reports suggest Dontavian Wicks is winning the WR2 battle.

Insight page

Malachi Fields

PositiveBreakout38:42

Malachi Fields is emerging as the clear wide receiver 2 for the Giants, showing success on off-script plays and taking advantage of opportunities while Malik Nabers recovers.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout40:53

Malachi Fields is emerging as a clear WR2 for the Giants, taking advantage of opportunities while Malik Nabers works his way back from injury.

Insight page

Malik Davis

NegativeDepth Chart65:32

Malik Davis recorded seven carries for 39 yards in the preseason, leading Square. Get to wonder if he might emerge as the primary handcuff in Denver.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveProjection33:46

Michael Wilson has moved into the top 75 range in full PPR formats; he is being deployed in a more horizontal, pass-heavy scheme than last year, and the gap between him and Marvin Harrison Jr. should be smaller than the current 15-spot ADP difference.

Insight page
NegativeBust43:40

Square warns against drafting Michael Wilson, citing a historical trend where non-rookie players who have big late-season stretches often fail to duplicate that production the following year and become overdrafted.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveSleeper38:42

Mike Washington is a clear RB2 for the Raiders with huge upside if Ashton Jinty goes down; he has flashed in preseason and is a priority handcuff target.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

NegativeDepth Chart52:56

Omar Cooper is considered undraftable by Heath, as he is currently playing behind Isaiah Williams on the depth chart.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBust43:42

Square identifies Parker Washington as a potential bust, noting that players who have late-season breakout stretches in their non-rookie years historically fail to repeat that performance.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeUsage17:16

Tucker Craft expects to be on a snap count until mid-season. Despite this, analysts are not moving him down in rankings, as his pre-injury role was that of a high-volume starter.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

NegativeUsage49:21

Tyrone Tracy was involved in a blown blocking assignment during the preseason, which analysts suggest could negatively impact his standing or lead to a rotation with other Giants running backs.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeValue68:18

Zay Flowers is being compared to Devontae Smith in a fantasy bet, with Square. Get debating his scoring potential relative to Smith.

1:55Get started today. This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports.
1:58What a play! It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
2:01Off to the races and he stays on his feet.
2:04He's just going to go the distance. Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
2:09We've got big, big news to cover today with rankings, risers and fallers after preseason week one.
2:15Plus, some injuries, including Brees Hall leaving with a non-contact injury that I saw reported as a groin injury.
2:21This just happened 20, 30 minutes ago. So, we're gathering information.
2:24But, Jeremiah Love with the high ankle sprain. Christian McCaffrey still out due to tightness or maybe something else.
2:30And who stood out in the preseason? Who's on the rise?
2:33Who's moving down in the rankings? Who's with me?
2:36Yeah! Dave's here. Hey, Dave. Dave? I am starting to really look forward to drafts that matter.
2:41They're coming up in the next couple weeks. Hopefully, everybody else will be just as psyched as I am.
2:47I have my best ball flex draft today, actually.
2:50Probably starting now. So, they matter. Jamie, what's up?
2:53Yo! Oh, good stuff. Heath! I've had two drafts that matter in the last five days.
2:57And I am looking forward to more of them.
3:00What was the best pick you made in those two drafts?
3:04One pick. The best. We're going to find out.
3:06We'll let you know in about four months. Oh, no.
3:09The one that you feel the best about. I'll rephrase.
3:13Yeah, I don't. Say flowers in round one. Come on.
3:16He did it. There we go. Hot off the presses.
3:19I hate say flowers this year. Just letting you all know.
3:22Oh! Did you see the flaw in your bet?
3:25Wait, wait, wait, wait. No. That was a great flaw in the bet, but I think it's important.
3:30I went back just to listen this morning because I knew this was going to come up again.
3:36And I just wanted to hear what Adam said.
3:39Wait, wait. And literally, it was any bet you want.
3:42Yeah. Yeah. Devontae Smith will outscore Zay Flowers. And you name the stakes.
3:46Yeah, I know. It was showmanship. Listen, I'm happy to get back into that.
3:50But we got a big show. Let's get to it right here.
3:54So, by the way, we were going to do how to draft from each position in the draft today.
4:00But so much news here, including, you know, a little bit of a history of how players perform after suffering a high
4:06ankle sprain because that's what Jeremiah Love has. You know, I wanted to make sure we spent enough time on that.
4:13So we're going to push that to Wednesday. Brees Hall left Monday's practice with a non-contact groin injury.
4:18And the funny thing is, Jamie, he had, based on usage, now Isaiah Davis didn't play, but Brees Hall had a very encouraging preseason game.
4:26He played something like 11 of 12 snaps with the starters.
4:29He played on third down. Again, no Isaiah Davis.
4:32But, you know, he was treated as a workhorse there.
4:35But I don't know. Does it even make sense to react to this one?
4:40Or should we wait until tomorrow until we get more news, Jamie, for Brees Hall?
4:44I mean, we're still a little bit away from the majority of drafts happening.
4:48So we could probably wait to get a full idea of what he's dealing with.
4:53Hopefully we get something before the end of the show.
4:56That would be ideal. We have lots of shows going on.
5:00So by Tuesday, we'll hopefully know. By Tuesday night, same thing.
5:03Look, it sucks. You know, this is the nature of this game that we love, right?
5:08Fantasy and reality. It's just that, you know, we're dealing with injuries across the board.
5:12You know, even Jamal Adams getting lost for the season.
5:16You know, that sucks. You know, and just seeing how these things unfold.
5:20Between Jeremiah Love and Brees Hall, it's, you know, two running backs that were going in the round three range.
5:26You know, beginning part of round three to the end of round three.
5:30And that's going to, you know, push up some guys behind him.
5:33The Cam Scadaboos, the Quinshot Judkins, the DeAndre Swift type guys.
5:37Travis Eichan. And make it probably a little bit more of a priority if you're picking toward the back end of round
5:44one to take two running backs first. So, you know, hopefully we'll get these guys right.
5:48And then the flip side of this is Braylon Allen could be a big winner.
5:53Tyler Rodger could be a big winner, especially early in the season.
5:57These guys are going to miss any time. All right.
6:00And that's Brett's Brees Hall. We'll see what happens.
6:03Hopefully we'll get an update soon. Kyle Monongai left practice yesterday with a knee injury, but it is apparently not serious.
6:09What's interesting is that DeAndre Swift in the first five games when Kyle Monongai had only 22 carries, DeAndre Swift was on pace for 238 carries.
6:17In the last 11 games, DeAndre Swift was on pace for 237 carries.
6:21And that was with Kyle Monongai getting a lot more than that.
6:25He was on pace for 187 carries in those games.
6:28So they just started running the ball so much more.
6:31If they kept that philosophy and only had one of those guys, it would be, you know, it'd be pretty exciting for fantasy.
6:38We have an update from Aaron Glenn already. All right.
6:41What do we got? Brees Hall suffered a strained groin today per Aaron Glenn, this according to Schefter.
6:47I don't think it was a big deal, Glenn said.
6:50Okay. So if he were out. Now, LaFleur also said the same thing about love.
6:54So keep that in mind. If Brees Hall were in the wake of the injury to love, he downplayed it.
7:00That's what coaches do this time of year. They don't have to say.
7:04By the way, we have two probably of the most annoying things that we're going to deal with is Robinson and Robinson
7:11on the Falcons and LaFleur on love. Yeah. It's gotten, you know, wasn't supposed to be a big deal.
7:17He's going to be out a week or whatever.
7:20Now he's got a high ankle sprain and they can't commit to Jeremiah love in week one.
7:25Heath, if Brees Hall were out, what would that mean for Braylon Allen and Isaiah Davis?
7:30Out for how long? Let's just, just give me, I don't know.
7:34We don't know the severity of it. Right now, based on what Aaron Glenn said, I'm going to assume he's back week one.
7:41But if he's not, I mean, how much would you like them?
7:44Like I, I would prefer Braylon Allen. He had obviously a very nice run in the preseason game.
7:50He is the one I have ranked higher. I moved him up a little bit.
7:55So he's in the round 14-ish range. He might move up to the round 13 or 12 range if we thought Brees
8:01Hall was going to miss one game. But it's just, it doesn't sound like it's anything that's going to cost Brees Hall a month.
8:09And so I'm not going to move him up much higher than that.
8:13Heath, would you recommend if Adam were to take Brees Hall in his draft today, Monday, that he spends a late round
8:19pick on Braylon Allen just in case? Until we know more.
8:23I mean, I, I still wouldn't put Braylon Allen ahead of the other handcuffs that I like more.
8:28Fair. So I'm not going to move him ahead of those guys just because I drafted Brees Hall.
8:34Right. Okay. All right. Christian McCaffrey still not practicing due to tightness.
8:38But Dave, what do we see? A pro football talk speculating this could be contract related.
8:43Which we, we don't know. It's purely speculation. And it sounds like, yeah, again, this is a situation where the coaches are downplaying it.
8:50Clay Kubiak basically downplayed it to the media. It's been a week and the 49ers don't play a regular season game for like three and a half weeks.
8:59So I'm not worried yet about McCaffrey and I haven't moved him down yet, but the time could come if week to
9:0510 days from now, it's still tightness. There isn't any other talk about it being contract related.
9:11At that point, I think you've got to really look at it and say, all right, there's a chance McCaffrey is dealing with something that could linger.
9:19Okay. I, I moved him down already. Same. So just because he was out for a week.
9:24Well, I mean, I was already concerned to begin with.
9:27And so it was just, you know, further reason to downgrade him.
9:31And so this is, I mean, look, it obviously could be contract related.
9:35That's, that's a fair speculation, but this is the same, you know, you want to call it tightness.
9:40I'll just call it vagueness. Same thing that we dealt with two years ago with him where it was, oh yeah, his calf.
9:47It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. By week 10, he's missed the majority of the season with an Achilles injury.
9:54So, you know, there, there, there's enough of a history here where, you know, Adam brought this up all the time.
10:00And the flip side of this, oh, if you're worried about McCaffrey, why shouldn't you be worried about Taylor with what his numbers were?
10:07And James Cook with what his situation could be and Chase Brown, all those things.
10:12Well, it's, it's, it's the same thing. So I just put those guys ahead of McCaffrey because I think there's as much
10:19risk and maybe not as much upside, but I don't know.
10:22Certainly much more downside. Okay. Jeremiah Love high ankle sprain.
10:25We've got Tyler Algier, Corey Kiner and Bam Knight right now in the Arizona running back rotation.
10:30James Connor and Trey Benson are also injured at the moment.
10:34So they definitely have a thin running back room, even though it was just ironic because they had like the deepest running
10:41back room for a while or one of the deepest.
10:44But, um, all right, Heath, what's your reaction to Jeremiah Love?
10:47I sent out an email this morning. Let's get some rankings, risers and followers.
10:51Nobody put Jeremiah Love on the followers list yet.
10:54But, uh, what is obvious? Sorry. Oh, okay. Okay.
10:57So he did fall for you, Jamie. Yeah. But not for Heath.
11:01I, I had him at the three, four turn before the injury.
11:04I was kind of expecting kind of a slow ramp up to start of the season with Tyler Algier touching more ball more than I thought.
11:12And I think the biggest conflict for me was watching Jeremiah Love in that game.
11:17My thought was, oh no, I'm way too low.
11:20I've got to move him up. And then he suffers the injury.
11:23So it was kind of like competing forces. I'm just going to leave him at three, four turn.
11:29Oh, fair enough. Yeah. He looked so good. Um, but Jamie, where'd you move Jeremiah Love to?
11:34Right to where he has him. Back into round three.
11:37Dave. He was middle to late round three to begin with for me.
11:41Now he's like even closer to the three, four turn.
11:44Let's keep in mind that he didn't do anything against the Raiders starting defense.
11:49When he did get his big runs, it was against the Raiders backups.
11:53Two of his big runs, eight plus yards came on the back of Chase Besantis, who's now out for the year.
11:59So I'm, I'm a little bit nervous about like pumping them up after the game and then hearing about the high ankle sprain.
12:06I don't want to overreact to that either. So I'm just trying to say as even keel, but faced with the decision
12:13of Jeremiah Love versus Kyron Williams, I'll take the safer running back in Kyron Williams.
12:18Javante Williams or Jeremiah Love? Javante. Right now, Love, but that'll change depending on how this timeline goes.
12:23And Dave said Kyron. Heath, Kyron, or Love? I had Kyron one spot ahead of him and I would have changed that
12:30if he hadn't got hurt in that game probably.
12:33But I'm sticking with Kyron one spot ahead of him.
12:36Kyron ahead of Love. Yeah, so I think the question here is, look, maybe, maybe he misses a game.
12:41Maybe he doesn't. But is he going to be himself?
12:45So just some history with high ankle sprains. So Saquon Barkley has had at least two of them.
12:502019, week three, he's averaging 6.4 yards per carry up to that point.
12:54He gets a high ankle sprain, Saquon Barkley. He misses three games.
12:58He comes back. He averages 4.3 yards per carry in 10 games.
13:01Saquon Barkley, fast forward to 2023. Second game of the year, he gets a high ankle sprain.
13:07He's averaging 3.9 yards per carry at that point.
13:09That's exactly what he averaged in the 12 games after.
13:13Jonathan Taylor, 4.8 yards per carry in the first four games of 2024.
13:17And then he had a high ankle sprain. He missed three games.
13:20So Barkley missed three games. Then Barkley missed three games.
13:23Then Taylor missed three games. You get the picture here.
13:26And he averaged 4.7 yards per carry with 4.8 before the injury, Jonathan Taylor.
13:314.7 after in 10 games after returning. CeeDee Lamb last year had the high ankle sprain in week three, the very, very beginning of week three.
13:39I believe he missed three games. I will confirm that.
13:42Yes, he did. He missed three games. And then he came back and he was awesome.
13:47Yards per target, yards per catch were basically career highs or close to career highs for CeeDee Lamb.
13:52Maybe it's different for a running back than it is for a wide receiver.
13:57But the three-week timeline is pretty much week one, right?
14:00So maybe it's not that big of a deal, but you just never know how these guys are going to perform coming off injuries.
14:07But it's all of it for him, though. It's the potential missed time.
14:11It's the competition for touches, assuming that everybody's healthy.
14:14And I don't think it needs to be all three guys being healthy in terms of Conor and Benson, but probably two of them.
14:21And it sounds like Conor's close, but there's also just the Algier factor by himself that that's going to be somebody that
14:28most likely still feels touchdowns, as we've seen him ruin another pretty high-profile rookie running back.
14:33Dave mentioned the offensive line injury already. We have a tough schedule on our hands to begin with.
14:38There's just a lot of things that he has to overcome.
14:42And yes, it was against the Raiders. It was against Raiders backups.
14:45He passed the eyeball test. He certainly passed the workload test.
14:49He failed the workload test because of what LeFleur did to him.
14:53He didn't need to be out there for this, and that was part of the problem is that, okay, you saw enough.
14:59You didn't need to keep him out there for as long as you did.
15:04I just think you've got to sort of keep it in perspective.
15:07The upside could be awesome. Yes. To me, it was the work and the passing game that I wanted to see, and it was there.
15:15And so that was encouraging. I think that there's going to be a sluggish start no matter if he misses a week or two.
15:22So if you're drafting him with the idea of, okay, this could still be a league winner, I get that because their
15:29schedule does lighten up a little bit in the back half of the season.
15:33As we talk about all the time, so many injuries are going to occur for defensive players that defenses aren't going to
15:40look the same based on rankless going into the start of the season.
15:44But when you start to stack him up with, I think a fair comp right now is obviously Josh Jacobs who's missing time with a groin injury.
15:52Like, you know, these guys were sort of in a similar range.
15:56And so 28, 29-year-old Josh Jacobs, however old he is, you know, coming off a little bit of a down year for
16:03him, dealing with his injury and the potential suspension.
16:06Like, that's a good, okay, who has more upside versus downside question?
16:09Kyron Williams with the Blake Corum factor. I think Javante Williams is certainly within this range of, you know, discussing.
16:16And now Brees Hall, who's probably going to fall behind these guys if this is a long-term injury or at least going
16:22to miss any time due to injury. You know, so those four or five guys, you know, I think sort of come
16:29into play anywhere from the middle to the end of round three, early part of round four.
16:34Basically what we see, it is what we see based on ADP.
16:38So there's a lot of question marks with just that group.
16:41And really, if you want to go the safe route, like probably Dave is doing, Javante may be over the other injured guys.
16:48And Kyron, just based on his history, makes a lot of sense.
16:52All right. A few more news items here. Jordan Tyson has no timetable for his return from a hamstring injury.
16:58We'll talk about that with risers and fallers. DJ Moore hurt his ankle, but apparently he is good to go.
17:04Alec Pierce is not expected to practice this week.
17:07Is anyone drafting Alec Pierce in the top 100?
17:10Yes. I think I've got him in the 90s.
17:13Yeah, he's in the 90s for me too. Okay.
17:16Tucker Craft thinks he'll be on a snap count until mid-season.
17:19This is a guy who ran 80% of the routes and played 91.5% of the snaps in weeks one through eight before tearing his ACL.
17:27So this was not a part-time player, Tucker Craft.
17:29Is anyone moving Tucker Craft down based on this?
17:32No. No. Kind of still factored into him being tied in seven for me was, again, kind of an expectation of a slow start to the season.
17:40And George Kittle is hoping to play in week one.
17:44And we will take a quick break here. Before we do that, though, we have a mock draft tomorrow night, Tuesday night, 7 p.m.
17:517 p.m., guys? I'm not on it, so. 8 p.m.
17:548 p.m. There we go. Glad I asked. 8 p.m.
17:57Eastern time tomorrow night. YouTube.com slash fantasyfootballtoday. And we still have four spots available.
18:01$50 to get in. It all goes to St.
18:04Jude. TinyURL.com slash FFTdonate2026. That's our draft-a-thon page. TinyURL.com slash FFTdonate2026.
18:08Join the mock draft for Tuesday night at 8 p.m.
18:11Eastern. Join the FFT Open. If you wanted to be in Ian Harditz's division, there is now an open spot.
18:17Someone actually bought two accidentally. So there is now an open spot there in Ian's division.
18:22And we're kind of running out of spots, but the draft is in a week.
18:26So hopefully we can sell out these leagues by the end of the week.
18:31If not, we'll figure something out. But we've done a great job there.
18:35You've been amazing and so appreciative of all your generosity.
18:38You can also bid if you click on the auction houses section.
18:41Bid to be in the podcast leagues. Bid to be in the elimination league.
18:46To be on the box score. Dynasty League. All those great things.
18:49And we'll be right back with more rankings, risers, and fallers on fantasy football today.
18:54My companion for this summer season has been Z-Biotics.
18:57Let me tell you why. Just headed out to a concert at Pier 17.
19:01Howl Mouth. What a show. I got home at 3 a.m.
19:04And I realized 8 a.m. tea time. What am I going to do?

19:52This summer, my wife and I took my parents, our son, and our granddaughter on a trip to Montana.
19:58Coming from South Florida, it was such a change of pace.
20:01We spent our days exploring Glacier National Park, taking in the incredible mountain views, spotting wildlife, and doing some easy hikes to waterfalls and scenic overlooks.
20:09It was amazing being surrounded by mountains and cooler weather, something we just don't get at home.
20:14We also checked out some local restaurants, tried a few Montana favorites like Huckleberry desserts, and really enjoyed slowing down and spending quality time together.
20:22But while we were off exploring somewhere new, our home was just sitting empty.
20:26That's when I realized while we're away, we could list our space on Airbnb.
20:31It feels like a smart and practical way to bring in some extra cash, especially when there is a high demand in
20:37our area for things like concerts, games, or festivals.
20:40It turns an empty house into an easy opportunity while you enjoy your own time off.
20:45It can even help offset some of the cost of your next trip.
20:49Your home might be worth more than you think.
20:52Find out how much at Airbnb.com slash host. I'll be honest with you.
20:56I've never really enjoyed shopping for clothes. It's just not my thing, but I do like getting nice clothes and I like
21:02looking good and I like feeling confident when I get dressed.
21:06So what's the solution here? It's Stitch Fix. This is an online personal styling service that has helped so many people get better style effortlessly.
21:14So stop scrolling through a bunch of websites and stop driving to stores and just go to Stitch Fix.
21:19Here's how it works. It's very simple. You take a quick style quiz.
21:23You share your size, your vibe, your budget. You're going to get linked with a stylist and an actual human being, by the way.
21:31So you get linked to the stylist and they do the rest of the work.
21:35You get sent a fix box with clothes that actually fit you and make sense for your style and your needs.
21:42And then you try them on. You keep what you like.
21:45You send back what you want to return. The returns are free.
21:49The shipping is free. No subscription is required. And you're going to get a free try on for your first order.
21:55So get started today at stitchfix.com slash football for $20 off your first order.
22:00That's stitchfix.com slash football. So I do want to get into rankings, risers, and followers, but I was all prepared to talk about drafting from different positions.
22:08So I just want to bring something up real quick.
22:11I went back and looked at the last five years, and I think if I kept going back, it would be the same thing.
22:18This is the cheapest that the quarterback position has been in such a long time in terms of average draft position.
22:25Right now on Fantasy Pros, and it's pretty similar on CBS, Josh Allen is going 24th.
22:30Lamar Jackson is going 42nd. Drake May, Joe Burrow, 52nd and 54th.
22:34Jayden Daniels, 61st. Jalen Hurts, 66th. So that is two quarterbacks off the board by pick 42.
22:39By pick 50, only two. In 2025, the first five quarterbacks were off the board by pick 35.
22:44Same thing in 2023. 2024, the first four quarterbacks were off the board by the 37th pick.
22:50I could go on and on, but it is just crazy how discounted these quarterbacks are.
22:54I have one question about that because, Jamie, you write the ADP review every week, and you will remember better than I do.
23:02My impression is that every week we get closer to the season, the quarterbacks will get drafted higher because more normal people start drafting their fantasy football teams.
23:10And I was just going to say, you now have some pretty significant injuries impacting round three, especially if Emeka Abuka's toe injury is a problem too.
23:18I think we see the quarterbacks get pushed up.
23:21Now, probably not to the same level that we have in years past, but I do think we're going to see Lamar probably creep into round three.
23:30Right now, he's a round four pick. I think we're going to see probably Drake May, Joe Burrow, Jayden Daniels, those guys
23:36start to get pushed up a little bit. I do think, though, it's – look, we're in a very oversaturated market of
23:43fantasy analysts right now, more so than ever before as well.
23:46And so you're getting hit over the head by the people who play this game either casually or significantly.
23:52And so they're understanding more and more like, okay, I can wait for this position no matter how many times we've said it for 10, 15 years.
24:01The injuries start to happen, and it's like, okay, I know that guy's safer, and I can probably get Quinchon Judkins a
24:07round later than I have to reach for Jeremiah Love right now.
24:11Yeah. Yeah. All right, well, whatever the reason may be, I also wonder if people are just looking at the late round quarterbacks this year.
24:19Of course. But more than ever or more than recent.
24:22I'll be really interested to see where it's at three and a half weeks from now.
24:27Yeah, me too, me too. Because Josh Allen's been a pretty steady riser.
24:31Right. All right, so let's get to the rankings movers here, the risers.
24:35Speaking of risers, Jamie, this is related to the Jordan Tyson injury.
24:38Chris Olave is a riser for you. So is Cleveland wide receiver Casey Concepcion, who had a touchdown in the preseason game
24:45this past weekend, and Denver running back Jonah Coleman.
24:48But all right, give me your thoughts on the Saints situation.
24:51I'm also curious to know if you moved up Jawan Johnson and or Devon Vele, but you start with Olave.
24:57I did move up Jawan Johnson. I did move up Olave, too.
25:01He was in that sort of wide receiver bunch for me behind Jeremiah Love prior to the injury.
25:07But middle of round three. Now he's basically bumping up to round two and maybe a round two pick.
25:13It really is dependent on how long Jordan Tyson's going to be out.
25:17There was never a doubt that Chris Olave is going to be the best receiver for the Saints.
25:22Tyson was having, by all accounts, a great training camp and looking explosive and looking like a guy Tyler Stuck was leaning on.
25:29And you've heard me say this a lot. Last year, the numbers with Rashid Shahid, without Rashid Shahid, not necessarily overly dramatic.
25:36And again, ties into Tyler Stuck when he started.
25:39But he definitely played better when Shahid was out.
25:41He averaged 9.9 targets per game in the seven games after Rashid Shahid was traded.
25:46And so averaged over 20 PPR points per game after Rashid Shahid was traded.
25:50So if he's going to be essentially a solo act for however many weeks this could go on, and we don't know
25:57when Tyson is going to return, this is another one that could linger into the start of the season based on the initial reports.
26:05But it's a guy that has hamstring and knee injuries dating back to college.
26:09So it may not be the only time that he's going to miss.
26:13And you would imagine the Saints are going to be very cautious with him, especially if they're winning games early in the season.
26:20So I think for Olave, he's now, you know, I've kind of been, I don't want to say all over the place,
26:27but bouncing around between that 11, 12 wide receiver spot.
26:30Olave now firmly inside the top 12. And again, somebody you could consider taking in round two.
26:35Juwan Johnson moved up into the top 15 tight ends for me.
26:39He was just outside that group, so bumped him up a few spots also just because, again, he was very successful for the Saints.
26:46Tyler Stuck, Kellen Moore last year. We'll see if Oscar dealt what kind of role he plays, you know, in limiting that.
26:53But I think as we see with rookie tight ends, when there is somebody established there, it takes them a little bit of time.
27:00So I still think Juwan Johnson's the feature tight end for this team.
27:04And then if you want me to go on with the other guys?
27:08Well, with Olave, I just want to know how difficult this is of a decision to make when you don't have a
27:15timeline for Jordan Tyson because you'd hate to be like, oh, yeah, he's my wide receiver 11 or whatever.
27:21And then, oh, Jordan Tyson's going to be ready by week two or something.
27:25And you're dropping him with a few spots or whatever.
27:28So it was basically he was like never lower than wide receiver 14 for me.
27:33And so it's just easy to say, OK, if there is a delay in Jordan Tyson getting on the field at the
27:40start of the season because of this, I can't sit here and say Devontae Smith is in a better spot than Chris
27:46Olave right now because Smith has been missing so much time with a hamstring injury.
27:51Not that expected to linger, but again, you know, you start to nitpick when you're close between a player or two.
27:57Abuka was another guy that was in the mix for this spot too.
28:01And now he's got this toe injury that can linger.
28:04So Olave coming off a very strong, you know, week of practice last week, coming into a situation where he could just get even more opportunities.
28:12So I don't think there's any reason to shy away from him.
28:16Not that most people were. I was just a little bit concerned because the presence of Tyson and what he had been
28:23doing just downgrading Olave a little bit. OK. Yeah, sure.
28:26Go on with the rest of your risers then.
28:29Yeah, so the Browns quarterback situation sucks and that is not going to change this season.
28:34But I do like the fact that they're going to manufacture touches for Concepcion.
28:38You know, you got that coming into the game.
28:41You saw it in the game. You got it coming out of the game like they just want to get the ball
28:48in his hands as much as possible. Nobody ever doubted his explosiveness.
28:51I think just, you know, the the way that he scored the contact balance, the ability to, you know, show a little
28:58bit of a physical presence, backing up everything that you heard in camp.
29:02Just easy to move them up about 10 spots in my rankings at receiver and about 20 spots overall in the top 200.
29:09And then for Jonah Coleman, it was I moved him up a little bit following the J.K.
29:14Dobbins injury. You know, again, just being concerned about somebody that has missed at least four games in each of the last
29:21four years and significant time in a few seasons in that span.
29:25Coleman looked great. You know, four for 24. You know what it's going to be.
29:29I think if Dobbins misses time, it's going to be a shared situation.
29:33But knowing Sean Payton, he's going to find a way to get Coleman on the field.
29:38So another one of these lottery ticket running backs.
29:41I think it was a good week. I don't want to step on anybody's toes, but it was a good week for
29:48a lot of rookies, receivers and running backs. You know, Emmitt Johnson looked great.
29:52Mike Washington looked great. Coleman looked great. You know, so for these guys that you're just looking at with late round picks,
29:59especially with what we're talking about now with injuries, it's just easy to take, you know, late round flyers.
30:05Again, don't fill your bench with guys that aren't going to be.
30:08Don't fill your bench with guys that you think are going to be relevant now.
30:13If you love your starting lineup, fill your bench with guys that are going to be relevant later.
30:19And these are the type of running backs that can do so.
30:22All right. Concepcion or Alec Pierce? All of you.
30:25That's close right now. I think I might have Pierce ahead of him, but, you know, another week of missed time, mispractice
30:32time, that's easy to put Concepcion ahead. Pierce. Pierce.
30:35And I love Concepcion. I've been talking about him since the draft.
30:38Okay. How about Jordan Tyson or Concepcion? Concepcion. Tyson.
30:41Oh. Okay. Yeah. I think Cleveland sucks, right? But if you're going to take a shot on somebody from a team that
30:48sucks, take a shot on the guy that's going to be used in a bunch of ways and get good target volume
30:55along the way, along with the occasional carry. And if you're asking a receiver to run seven yards and catch a pass,
31:01I think a quarterback can hit that. Even somebody like Shadur Sanders or Deshaun Watson.
31:06If you're asking the quarterback to make tight window throws to the second and third levels of a defense while being pressured
31:13because your offensive line is filled with inexperienced tackles or over-the-hill veterans inside, then I think you'd be a little bit hard-pressed
31:19to get good results out of those guys. We still have a little bit of question about Casey Concepcion and two wide receiver sets, right?
31:27Absolutely. Yeah. He didn't play in them. Right. I don't think anyway.
31:31And Denzel Boston did. Denzel Boston did. And Jerry Judy.
31:34So it's like Boston and Judy are your outside guys.
31:37Concepcion is your slot guy. I don't think Concepcion played in two wide receiver sets.
31:42I don't know. The people I think are going to go crazy over stuff like that, I would say, if he's good
31:48enough, he's going to get on the field. He'll earn it.
31:52Yeah. Unless a team goes and has a game where they've got three tight ends in for 50% of the snaps.
31:58Maybe lower than that. Maybe four. Well, two tight ends can get you two wide receivers on the field.
32:04He can also get you three wide receivers on the field.
32:07Yeah. If he didn't play a running back. No, he did not.
32:11But it could hurt the running game, too. Yeah.
32:14And this is a team that's probably going to be chasing points in a bunch of games.
32:19Well, right. Yeah. All right. Look, I mean, you're picking him 100th overall.
32:23I actually want to make sure we talk about Quinchon Judkins because what we saw very briefly was kind of more of the same.
32:30It was a terrible offensive line and a guy that is going to have to work so hard to get his yards.
32:37It was only three carries, I think. Also, he came off the field on third down for Dylan Sampson.
32:43All right. So that's Jonah Coleman. Yeah. I mean, gosh, R.J.
32:46Harvey. I mean, it is worth mentioning. Dobbins didn't play and R.J.
32:50Harvey was treated like the starter. I mean, he played a ton.
32:54You know, he should be. He should be. But he was such a bad rusher last year.
32:59This is just my personal opinion of all the running backs that I've watched on tape.
33:04I mean, I think the two that stood out as just being the absolute worst were Chuba Hubbard and R.J.
33:10Harvey, just based on last year. Hubbard's had better moments earlier in his career.
33:14Harvey just was, I don't know. I thought he was terrible, honestly.
33:18And I thought in this game, again, like he just doesn't do anything.
33:22Which is reason to buy into Coleman. Exactly. Exactly.
33:25But, yeah, I don't know. We have to at least mention that Harvey was treated certainly ahead of Jonah Coleman and had
33:32a role in this preseason game that was awesome.
33:34That we would love if Dobbins were out. I guess we just mentioned it.
33:39There we go. But things will develop over time.
33:42Dave, Michael Wilson and DeJuan Stribling are your risers based on the preseason.
33:46So we can question Mike LaFleur's decision to use Jeremiah Love as much as he did and then describe his injury in the days after all we want.
33:54But I don't think there's any doubting how LaFleur is deploying his receivers.
33:58And it's a lot better than how Arizona deployed their receivers last year.
34:02A lot more horizontal routes for both Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr.
34:06They're going to challenge the middle of defenses, it seems like, play after play after play.
34:11And I know Marv had the touchdown. And Marv looked good, too.
34:14He drew a DPI on a fade pattern. But I thought Wilson had a little bit more juice to him.
34:21And I changed the gap between Harrison and Wilson.
34:23And now I think they're both round six players.
34:26And ADP, at least the last time I looked at it, there was at least 15 spots between Marvin Harrison Jr.
34:33And Michael Wilson. And I don't think it should be that much.
34:36I think it should be a lot closer. And I would like to get the second of the two.
34:42And the second of the two is going to be Michael Wilson.
34:46So he's moved into that top 75 range, especially in full PPR, especially for a team that I think is still going
34:53to stink and throw the ball a lot in 2026.
34:56As for Stribbling, he ran 15 routes. He had eight targets.
34:59He had seven catches. I can nitpick his feet being out of bounds in the back of the end zone.
35:05But I love the way that the 49ers used him.
35:08It felt like they were fast tracking him to the offense and trying to get him acclimated as fast as possible.
35:15The tracking on the deep ball and the size advantage they had on the corner, all those things really mattered to me.
35:21And think about who he's playing with in San Francisco.
35:25It's Mike Evans, who's older. George Kittle, who's older and coming back from a big injury.
35:29Debo Samuel, older. Who's left that's younger in this passing game?
35:33I think that there's a real pathway for Stribbling to be a focal point of the 49ers offense this year.
35:39I love the idea of drafting him relatively late and certainly not as late as we were getting him before.
35:45Cool. I like the fact that they moved him all over the place, too.
35:49Yeah. No. I think it's learn everything because you may play everything because of the other guys potentially missing time.
35:56I will say on the Michael Wilson one, I was really conflicted because I did think the Arizona offense looked better than it did last year.
36:04We've heard a lot about Kendrick Bourne in training camp and how much he's going to be on the field.
36:10And we saw Kendrick Bourne getting run with the first team and Michael Wilson not playing all of the snaps.
36:16So I considered moving Wilson down, but I just left him in the same spot.
36:21Same. I don't know what to do with him.
36:23Yeah. He's another guy who I think came off the field in two receiver sets a little bit or a lot.
36:30I'm not sure. Michael Wilson. I mean, they obviously didn't play that many snaps.
36:34But yeah, Kendrick Bourne playing a bigger role than we expected.
36:37That would be so stupid. I mean, what would be the point of that?
36:42Of taking Michael Wilson off the field for Kendrick Bourne when you just didn't they just give Michael Wilson a contract extension?
36:49That would make no sense to me. Or have they not done that yet?
36:53I don't think they did. Okay. He's going. Okay.
36:56Never mind then. Yeah. So just to put it out there, 13 snaps.
37:00This includes penalties for the Arizona offense with Bursette.
37:02Marv was in on all 13. Bourne 10 of 13.
37:05Wilson 7 of 13. Yeah. It's weird. I can see how many pass or run all that stuff if you really want.
37:12All right. Oh, you know what? Let me while we stay on that, though.
37:17I mean, I guess I had this this moment watching the Cardinals and I try not to make too much a preseason.
37:23Right. Guys look great. And I remember going to a preseason game a few years ago where Daniel Jones and Isaiah likely
37:30were up or and Darren Waller were absolutely torching it.
37:33Right. They were crushing the great show. That was a great show.
37:37And it didn't come to fruition. Ironically enough. But yeah, lessons learned.
37:41Anyway, I mean, I had this thought like maybe the Cardinals are just going to have a good offense this year.
37:47They've got a lot of really good players on the field.
37:50I hate the Basantus injury that Dave mentioned. This is their rookie second round pick playing right guard and he's out for the year.
37:58But maybe they're just going to put up points like they did last year.
38:02Imagine if the Cardinals and the Browns had quarterbacks like their skill players are awesome.
38:07But I think the Browns might kill for Jacoby Brissett at this point.
38:11Right. I agree. I don't think that's the worst level to it.
38:14Yeah. Yeah. Five pass plays for Arizona with Brissett.
38:17Wilson on the field for all five. All right.
38:20They were 23rd in scoring last year. I wonder what they were with Brissett.
38:24All right. Heath, your risers are rookies. And that makes sense.
38:28I mean, the rookies are the ones that are playing the most here.
38:32But Mike Washington for the Raiders. Emmitt Johnson for the Chiefs.
38:35These are handcuffed running backs. And Malachi Fields. I want you to know, you know, you probably don't realize the mental anguish you caused me.
38:43It's not your fault. But in our dynasty draft, I was deciding between Oscar Delp and Malachi Fields.
38:48And I went with Delp. And you took Fields right after.
38:52And I've been thinking about it for weeks. But Washington, Emmitt Johnson, Malachi Fields, risers for you.
38:57Funny. I talked about this on FFT Dynasty on Friday.
39:00But we have a feature coming out this week, I think.
39:03Our must draft players. And we did 250 words on three guys that we just keep drafting.
39:08And funny enough, Mike Washington was one of the guys I wrote about on Thursday afternoon.
39:13Watched Mike Washington have that big run and get all the shine on Twitter.
39:18And then realized it's not going to publish until like five days later.
39:22And everybody's going to think I was just excited about a training camp run.
39:26But I just thought it was nice to see that he does.
39:30Like, I kind of viewed him as a guy with huge upside and almost no competition if Ashton Jinty goes down.
39:36And that's kind of what we want out of the handcuffed running backs that we draft.
39:41And he flashed the huge upside and even played some first-team snaps.
39:45And looks like, by far, the clear RB2 in this offense.
39:48And so I moved him up just a little bit more.
39:52I had him in round 12. He's in right at the round 11 range.
39:56One of my favorite handcuffed running backs. Emmitt Johnson, very encouraging.
39:59Really weird also. Because Brashard Smith was like the clear RB2.
40:03And then we got to see some Emmitt Johnson.
40:05And then Amore Di Mercado was playing fourth-quarter snaps.
40:08I don't think Brashard Smith is holding Emmitt Johnson off.
40:11I was afraid they would want the veteran on pass-catching downs and maybe for some pass-blocking.
40:16If Emmitt Johnson's currently ahead of Amore Di Mercado, then I think Emmitt Johnson's going to be the Kenneth Walker handcuff.
40:23And I liked him a lot coming into the draft.
40:26Kind of like Mike Washington, just disappointed with where he got drafted.
40:29And the fact that he's just an obvious backup for the next couple of years.
40:34But if he gets a chance, I think he's going to be awesome.
40:38So moved him into my top 60 running backs.
40:41And then Malachi Fields was very, very good. Made a catch on a fantastic off-script Jackson dart play.
40:46Which if you're going to have success in this pass offense, I think you're going to have to do it off-script.
40:53And really, again, another guy that I liked beforehand.
40:55He flashed. Been a lot of talk at camp about him emerging as the clear wide receiver 2 for the Giants.
41:02And I didn't think that would happen this early.
41:05Yeah, it's good stuff. And Neighbors is working his way back.
41:08Hopefully he'll start, you know, I don't think he's going to play in the preseason.
41:13But make more progress. But in the meantime, Malachi Fields is taking advantage.
41:17And Heath's going to tell you why Isaiah likely is a faller.
41:20We'll do that in a little bit. I should have been asking more of the this guy or that guys.
41:27But would you take, I think this is an easy one.
41:30Dijon Stribbling or Malachi Fields? Stribbling. Stribbling. I do.
41:33I have Stribbling ahead, but it's not an easy one for me.
41:36I have them back-to-back. Would you guys take Michael Wilson or Jordan Addison?
41:40Wilson. I have Wilson higher. You're doing a great job of asking guys that I have back-to-back.
41:46I have Addison one spot higher. All right. Would you take Michael Wilson or how about Jaden Reed?
41:51Wilson. Wilson. That's close. Yeah. It's Wilson. All right.
41:54Wilson, Addison, and Reed for me. And there's a pretty big gap between Addison and Reed.
41:59All right. I almost – this is probably wrong.
42:02But the guys who did what Parker Washington and Michael Wilson did last year at the end of the year that aren't
42:08rookies historically have not duplicated that the following year.
42:11It's been kind of a false signal, and they get overdrafted.
42:15And I feel like you can't buy into both of them.
42:18Like maybe one of these guys breaks the trend, but I have a really hard time believing that both Parker Washington and
42:25Michael Wilson are going to break this trend of guys coming out of nowhere having big four or five-game stretches and then
42:31just kind of going back to who they were before.
42:35Yeah. I actually have like a list of – okay.
42:38Out of nowhere. Let's see. Ready? Go to this little spot.
42:41This is the out of nowhere list. Out of nowhere year four breakouts.
42:45Can you show us a notepad, please? Out of nowhere fourth-year breakouts over the last 15 seasons.
42:50So Christian Kirk – this was kind of like for a full season.
42:54Christian Kirk did it in 2021 with Arizona, and then he was pretty good with Jacksonville.
42:59George Pickens just had his out of nowhere fourth-year breakout.
43:02I wouldn't put George Pickens in the same category as Parker Washington and Michael Wilson going into last year.
43:08Right. Because Pickens did it almost the entire year pretty much.
43:11Well, and Pickens was – had done much more than those guys before last year.
43:16Fair. Yeah, yeah. No. He was not out of nowhere.
43:19He was out of Pittsburgh. Michael Crabtree – Michael Crabtree had like a pretty ho-hum first three seasons and then a huge fourth season.
43:27He never reached those heights again. He did have injury.
43:30Brian Hartline had a fourth-year breakout, and he actually followed that up with an 1,100-yard season in 2013.
43:35There haven't been that many. Jordy Nelson was a guy who did almost nothing his first three seasons, and then he had
43:421,200 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2011, and he just kept going.
43:46I don't think this is what Heath is referring to.
43:49I think he's talking about guys who just had late season.
43:52It was a good – I'm glad you got a chance to read that list though.
43:57Yeah, sorry. That was really more of an Alec Pierce list.
44:00That's how I made it for guys who had this like out of nowhere breakout in year four.
44:06I think it was Alec Pierce. No, it was Wondale Robinson is who I made it for.
44:11Alec Pierce. But Pierce applies. Is he – he's going his fifth year or his fourth year, Alec Pierce?
44:17Fifth year. Yeah. Yeah, so those are the two guys.
44:20It's like can they keep it going? Thank you for letting me read that stupid list that had nothing to do with our topic.
44:27We'll be right back with Fallers after this. If I got an alert every single time my teen used their debit card,

46:22Heath has Isaiah Likely, Makai Lemon, and Omar Cooper, and some of it's injury-related.
46:26Isaiah Likely, though, I guess you didn't like the snap share.
46:30I didn't. You know, there's been a little teasing about the tight end trio that Dave and I disagreed on six months
46:37ago, and now we've come closer on two of those guys.
46:40And Dave may be turning the corner on Kyle Pitts based on a tweet I saw over the weekend.
46:46But Likely was one of those guys. Yes. And I heard in my ear what Dave said three months ago about Isaiah
46:53Likely is, what's going to be different? He's the same coach.
46:56Why is he going to be a full-time player and a featured target in the offense now?
47:01And then that's kind of what it looked like.
47:04And this is also, like, it's not a big move down.
47:07It's just I had him at Harold Fannin. I moved him behind Harold Fannin.
47:12I had him in round seven. I dropped him down to the end of round eight, so the eight-nine turn.
47:18But I think also the Malachi Fields ascension matters a little bit, too, because if it's Malik neighbors and no other wide
47:25receiver that matters, then Likely can be the second target on the offense.
47:29He might still be, but he's got a little more competition than we thought he did.
47:33There were 16 snaps that we could call first-team offense snaps, 14 with Dart and then the two plays that Dart missed
47:40because they were checking him out for a concussion, that two more.
47:44And so of those 16, Likely played six. I totally agree with the Malachi Fields part, and it's obviously a little concerning
47:51when he doesn't start for you and only plays six of 16 snaps with the starters.
47:56Are they trying to hide him? Do they think they're being cagey?
47:59Or what is it? And so I understand why people are going to be turned off by what Likely did.
48:05It's more of what I saw from Tua that made me move Pitts ahead of Likely in full PPR only.
48:12And that is once, and it's just funny, Drake London leaves the game and all of a sudden Kyle Pitts gets targets.
48:18London only played two snaps. Who cares? But whenever Tua's pressured, what have we seen the last two years?
48:24He's getting the ball out as fast as he can.
48:27Well, two of those targets went to Kyle Pitts on slip screens.
48:31And so if that's going to be a thing for however long Tua is the quarterback, that's easy receptions for Kyle Pitts.
48:38So they're back-to-back in my rankings. I flipped it where Pitts is ahead of Likely in full PPR.
48:43I'm still encouraged by Likely, though. All the reports out of camp for the Giants have been very positive for him.
48:50And I still think there's a pathway for him to be, okay, maybe not far and away the number two target getter
48:57in that offense, but still the number two target getter in that offense.
49:01Basically all the plays he – every play that Likely was in was a pass play.
49:05Basically sat out all the run plays. I would recommend the Giants mix it up.
49:10That's what Michael Wilson did. Yeah, I would recommend the Giants mix it up or they're probably going to be a little predictable offensively.
49:17I can't take us through that sequence when Jackson Dart got destroyed.
49:21I wasn't watching. I wasn't watching it live. But, yeah.
49:24People are talking about that a lot, though, because if Tracy screwed that up, people are, oh, they're going to take him
49:31off of – That was on Dart, totally. What was that?
49:34That was all on Dart. What, you think he got the protection wrong or something?
49:39I mean, you see what Tracy was doing. Tracy wasn't in the block.
49:43He was running around and he saw the guy come free.
49:46We don't know if Tracy messed that up and was supposed to be – It was either Dart messing it up or Tracy got the play call wrong.
49:55Yeah. We're never going to know. Well, they're never going to put it on Dart.
50:00But if you watch what happened, it's pretty clear.
50:02Dart didn't have any idea what was happening. Yeah.
50:05Right. Right. But Tracy said – I think he said something like, that's never going to happen again.
50:11You can watch my tape. There's hardly any of that or something like that.
50:15But, you know, Cam Scadaboo did not play on third down.
50:18And he did last year. And he was on pace for 60 catches in his healthy games, the games with his normal snap share.
50:26And he did not have that role this year.
50:28And so people seeing Chimo and Tracy completely blow that block, and that's the way they interpreted it anyway.
50:34And they're thinking, oh, this is good news either for Singletary or for Scadaboo.
50:39But I think we're probably making too much out of, you know, two series in one game.
50:44In a lot of these cases, it's all we have.
50:47It's better than nothing. But, yeah, I mean, this is what I keep talking about.
50:52Like, you want to knock Travis Achan for not being the third down back?
50:56Well, right now, neither is Quinchon Judkins or Cam Scadaboo, based on what we just saw this preseason.
51:01There are so few guys that have that role.
51:04Brees Hall, I don't know if he is. Obviously, he's hurt.
51:08But Isaiah Davis didn't play. But Brees Hall played, like, every snap.
51:11I think Javante Williams is probably going to be the third down back.
51:15But I'm just saying, you look at these running backs.
51:18Once you get to round four, who's a third down back?
51:22Who's a third down back? Pretty much nobody. Maybe Swift.
51:25Or just take the third down backs three rounds later.
51:28Or take the first and second down backs that have goal line work on top of their role, and they're going to
51:35be the feature back, the 1A, whatever you want to call them.
51:38And don't worry about it. Yeah. Could do that.
51:41Half the time, these third down backs are in their pass protecting anyway.
51:45You don't get points for that. On the Scadaboo point, 16 snaps with the first-team offense.
51:50Referring to that again. Scadaboo played five snaps. Singletary played four.
51:53Tyrone Tracy played seven. None of them played with the second-team offense.
51:57That's something I want to keep an eye on in future preseason games here.
52:01Because if they're going to have a three-man rotation, which, I mean, I'd be shocked if they did it.
52:07They did it for this game. But that would just really make things worse for all Giants running backs.
52:13Right. We're not there. We're not there yet, though.
52:16Just to be clear. No, I didn't move Scadaboo down.
52:19It's just something to take note of. All right, Heath.
52:22Makai Lemon and Omar Cooper, two rookie wide receivers that are fallers.
52:26They are. I was really hopeful that Makai Lemon at some point would make this whole Dontavian Wicks thing go away.
52:32But we got some speculation from Eagles beat writer Jimmy Kemski late last week that Dontavian Wicks is, in his opinion, going
52:39to win the wide receiver two battle. We talk about it a lot.
52:43Lemon missed so much time in this offseason. Early in the spring and then in training camp, we don't like it when rookies miss time.
52:51So he is behind Casey Concepcion for me now.
52:53And I think outside of the first nine rounds.
52:56Cooper is not even draftable. He's playing behind Isaiah Williams.
52:59Cooper is off my draft board. And we talked about Dejan Stribling.
53:03We didn't talk about Caleb Douglas, but he had a great catch.
53:07Denzel Boston, Malachi Fields. I would take all those guys.
53:10And I'd take Adonai Mitchell over him. And I'd take Jacoby Lane over him.
53:14Does Jacoby Lane look good? Yeah. Cooper is somebody that we could come back to during the season.
53:19Like, I could see him late November into December being a small factor for the Jets offense.
53:25There's no reason to draft him. Dave, what about Carnell Tate?
53:28Carnell Tate is on your followers list. It doesn't really have much to do with him as much as it does with
53:35Cam Ward and how that Titans offense looked against a lot of 49ers backups.
53:39And it wasn't great. The offensive line wasn't great.
53:42The first drive was okay for Cam Ward. After that, he had two more drives.
53:47He was three of eight passing. His ADOT was 3.8 yards.
53:50He was a mess. He was off target a bunch.
53:53And if he isn't taking a step forward, then how can we expect Carnell Tate to have even a solid rookie year?
54:00So I had him – maybe I was a little too aggressive by putting Carnell Tate in that late round six range.
54:07But now I'm taking a step back into round seven, and I reserve the right to move him even further back just
54:13because I really don't know what to expect from Cam Ward at this point.
54:18In fact, I don't have any reason to be optimistic about Cam Ward or the Titans passing game at this point.
54:24I wish I could remember the draft that we just did where I think I took Carnell Tate.
54:30Jamie, you have this weird memory for all of these – You could always just look at the draft for it.
54:36Yeah, I'm trying. I have like 50 drafts on my CBS dropdown.
54:40Was it – oh, yeah. Okay, it was our spotlight draft.
54:43And I took him in round six. Let me see.
54:46I think that was my number two receiver because I went McCaffrey, Hampton, Higgins, Javante, Lamar Jackson, Carnell Tate.
54:52I love my first five picks. But I got to the point where those top 26-ish wide receivers that I talk about
54:59all the time, they're all off the board. And I only have one wide receiver in a three – Jamie, three receiver league?
55:06Yes. Yeah. And I don't regret – I mean I have no regrets going McCaffrey, Hampton, Higgins, Javante Williams in round four.
55:13And then Lamar Jackson, who I can't pass up in round five.
55:16No regrets. But I looked at Carnell Tate. I just didn't love – I just didn't feel great about it.
55:22But, you know, who after – Brian Thomas Jr.
55:25went the pick before. I could have taken Marvin Harrison Jr., Jordan Tyson.
55:29Just looking at the guys who were drafted. Chris – I think Chris Godwin probably would have been my pick if I could do it again.
55:37Courtland Sutton, Josh Downs. Not a great – not my favorite area of receiver if you need your second guy.
55:43If you need your third guy, it's fine. But it's okay.
55:47You have to be loaded somewhere else. I think I'm loaded at running back.
55:51I think just something to keep in mind with the Titans.
55:54And I don't disagree with Dave. It was concerning because you've got to worry if Cam Ward can actually get it.
56:01But Brian Dable is trying to teach something different to Cam Ward.
56:05He's trying to implement a system that Cam Ward is not yet used to.
56:09And so those things are going to look ugly at times.
56:12You'd like it to look pretty at times. But it's also something like what Caleb Williams went through with Ben Johnson last year.
56:19It's basically training the player all over again. And so it's going to look ugly.
56:24And again, may still look ugly for weeks, for months, maybe the season.
56:28Could get Brian Dable fired. Could get Cam Ward in the Kyler Murray treatment where he's out the door the minute they get an opportunity to.
56:36But hopefully he grasps it and starts to feel comfortable with it.
56:40And those players and that system can start to look like you want it to look.
56:45So that's one thing you want to see like growth over the course of the next game or two depending on how long they play these guys.
56:53Sure. And then also what you see out of joint practice.
56:56Like some of these things, like when you see – I say this every year.
57:01Like when you see quarterbacks throwing interceptions in camp, like some of that is they suck.
57:06Some of that is they're trying to make throws that they're not used to making.
57:10They're trying to run plays that they're not used to doing.
57:14And that's, I think, what we saw a little bit with this.
57:18To Dave's point, ugly that it was against 49ers backups, ugly that it looked as bad as it did.
57:23Should make you a little bit concerned about Cardinal Tate because maybe you don't get the high-end production that we're hoping for.
57:30But let's just see what happens over the next couple weeks.
57:33I mean he was missing slant throws and out routes.
57:37Yeah. I mean maybe that's a timing thing, but they've been practicing for a couple weeks.
57:41Why would that not be up to speed? Again, not to disagree with what you said.
57:46I'm just saying like – I know. No, I agree with you on a lot of what you said like about interceptions in camp and all that stuff.
57:55Everybody making a big deal about Jalen Hurts throwing an interception on social media.
57:59Like stuff like that I can separate from what might be real.
58:03Same thing with – there was an intentional grounding call on Cam Ward in the game.
58:08Like his reads were covered. He didn't want to get blasted.
58:11He lawn darted the ball. It's a preseason game.
58:14Who cares? No, I care because he almost fumbled that ball at his own goal line.
58:19He's got to stop doing that garbage. Well, sure.
58:22I didn't want to bog this down with that whole thing.
58:25But like you want to see obviously Ty Simpson come out and take full grasp of the offense that he's running.
58:32Yes. Great example. Versus Cam Ward a year in.
58:34Yeah. And okay, new system, new coordinator, all those things.
58:37You want to see the easy throws and the easy things get done.
58:41But it's still like he's processing something different. And hopefully again he's capable of grasping it.
58:46You could throw Mendoza in that same exact conversation.
58:49Carson Beck was great in his preseason debut. There you go.
58:53All right. I think it's safe to say, and then you guys, again, disagree if you want.
58:58But I don't think anyone based on – what's that?
59:01I don't think we're disagreeing. No, no. You don't even know what I'm going to say.
59:06I'm probably going to disagree. Cam Ward had the worst week of anyone in the preseason basically.
59:11I mean anyone who didn't get injured. Probably Jeremiah Love.
59:14No, like I said, anyone who didn't get injured.
59:17No. Yeah. It was bad, but again, we're not going to freak out over it.
59:21Do you guys think that Jerry Judy in Cleveland and Calvin Ridley in Tennessee are going to be annoying enough that they
59:28are going to hurt the value of the players that we actually want to draft?
59:33No. No. Not. Okay. More fallers. Let's go to Jamie's fallers.
59:36Christian McCaffrey, where did you move him to? Drake London on this list?
59:40Just one spot. Okay. Dave kind of alluded to it.
59:43Tua looked as bad as Cam Ward did. Yeah.
59:46Tua did look bad. So where did you move McCaffrey to?
59:49I moved McCaffrey to 12th. 12th overall. 12th overall.
59:52And where's London? London is now behind A.J. Brown, so just dropped him one spot, but a couple spots in the overall ranking.
59:59So I think he's like 22. And Jordan Tyson was the other guy.
60:03Tyson or Lemon? Tyson. Guys, Tyson or Lemon? Tyson.
60:06I think I have Tyson higher. So London is the tough one, man.
60:10I didn't. Yeah, I didn't move him yet. But it was ugly from Tua.
60:14And we saw the Kevin Stefanski offense in full force with, what, four of his five passes went to Pitts?
60:20Yeah. Yeah, that's, I don't even remember the other one that didn't go to Pitts.
60:25It felt like they, but yes. So, but again, London was off the field.
60:29As Dave mentioned, he played two snaps. Yeah, but it's two snaps.
60:33It's, to me, it's just kind of like a funny thing and not realistic of, oh, you can't draft Kyle Pitts because Drake London was, again, not playing.
60:42I can't, I'm not going to make that argument after two snaps.
60:45I want Michael Penix back. That's what I want.
60:48I was going to say maybe Tua would have looked better if London had been playing.
60:53But yeah, even Tua was like, I've got to be better than this.
60:57Did the Broncos play their starters? Defensive? They did.
61:00I'm pretty sure they did. I remember seeing Sertan out there on one play.
61:04So, yes. Who? Sertan. Sertan. Man, that sucked. Yes, Patrick Sertan.
61:08Yeah, I mean, they played Stidham because Bo Nix wasn't quite ready, but they played their starters, I think.
61:13And Court Sutton had a big game. It's no reason to panic yet.
61:17It's just, again, when you're close between a player or two, there are reasons to upgrade or downgrade.
61:23And I was close between A.J. Brown and Drake London, so I moved right ahead.
61:28This brings us to the pronunciation of the day.
61:30And this actually kind of cracked me. I'm going to need help with the cornerbacks in Denver, apparently.
61:36Yeah. Riley Moose. It really kind of cracked me up.
61:39When I was watching the replay of the Panthers-Bills game.
61:42And the Bills kick it off to the Panthers, and they say, Trevor A.J.
61:46on the return. And I go, oh my gosh, we actually have three A.J.s.
61:51I completely forgot. What could you imagine? Did Trevor change his name too?
61:55Yeah. Well, they're brothers. So. Hilarious. He was like, no, I'm A.J.
61:58Yeah, he didn't change it. He was saying it's always been that way, right?
62:03We were just saying it wrong. Yes. Yeah. It didn't change it.
62:06But it would be so. Could you imagine if there were a couple injuries in the backfield, that now Trevor A.J.
62:13gets pushed to do a starting spot? And I'm like, who do you guys like this week?
62:18A.J. A.J. or A.J. Well, again, it's. It wipes itself.
62:21LaFleur questioning love's availability. Like, that's brutal. What do you mean?
62:24Well, there's another LaFleur and another love. Oh, LaFleur.
62:27Oh. Right. Oh, touchdown there. Yeah. Whew. Way over my head.
62:31Oh, boy. Did you guys miss one? Which one?
62:33The name that you said on a show, Adam, that made me think of.
62:38Oh, the team name. We did a draft order for a league.
62:41And there was one that used the term TDs a little bit inappropriately.
62:45And Adam didn't catch on. Oh, man. Let's talk about Jonathan Brooks, actually.
62:49Chuba Hubbard out. Jonathan. I think Adam just, like, skips right past that.
62:53Yeah, let's skip that. I don't know if there's anyone else that you wanted to discuss.
62:58But it was starters versus starters for the most part for part of that Bills-Panthers game.
63:03And Brooks, he had two bad runs. And the left guard, I think, got destroyed on both of them.
63:09And it was not their starting left guard. I think Rob Hunt was out.
63:13So, yeah, I don't know. Is there anything to talk about here?
63:17I think we should all just be thankful that Jonathan Brooks' ADP didn't go up two rounds because of a 60-yard touchdown run.
63:24Good call. How about the fact that the Vikings— Can DJ Moore not call out defensive backs to try and hit him, please?
63:31Did he do that? Did he do that? Did you not see the play?
63:35No. I saw the play, but I didn't see him calling it one out.
63:40Oh, it was like an Oklahoma drill in real life.
63:43He called the guy over. He was like, come hit me.
63:46Oh, wow. I guess I only saw—I was watching his ankle.
63:50How about the Vikings running backs? We're all offseason.
63:52It's like, oh, Jordan Mason's going to be the starter, this and that.
63:56And actually, Aaron Jones was basically the starter. And they pretty much split evenly, Jamie.
64:01But we've been calling Mason a sleeper. Do you still feel good about that call?
64:06Yeah, for sure. I think it just means you shouldn't be discounting Aaron Jones.
64:10Because, again, Mason's not going to play on pass downs.
64:13You want to talk about the clear example of a first and second down guy.
64:18He's got 28 career receptions in his career. 28 receptions in his career.
64:22That's where Aaron Jones wins. And it's kind of been the drumbeat from the Vikings media prior to the start of training
64:28camp was, hey, this just makes a lot of sense.
64:31Let's play Mason on first and second down. Play Jones on—keep him fresh.
64:35Because he still can give you explosive plays. It's just why run him into the ground at 31 years old.
64:42So it was always going to be a split.
64:44It was never Jordan Mason's going to be this elite-level player.
64:48He has the chance to produce as a quality fantasy option because I think the touchdowns will be there for him.
64:54But there's a reason why he's still being drafted where he's being drafted.
64:58And it should be drafted, you know, in the middle rounds.
65:02Yeah, I think my concern with what we saw was if it's Jordan Mason on first and second down and Aaron Jones
65:08on passing downs, we can work with that. If Jordan Mason's sharing first and second down with Aaron Jones and Aaron Jones
65:15is playing passing downs, then it's really difficult. Yeah, and that's what happened.
65:19I don't know if Jordan Mason got any snaps on passing downs, but they both had three carries.
65:25Okay. Let's take a look. I thought Javante Williams had a good preseason week one because Jadon Blue had eight carries for 19 yards.
65:32Malik Davis had seven for 39. I don't know.
65:35Jadon Blue showed nothing other than what apparently he does decently in training camp and in practices.
65:40But I wonder if Malik Davis is going to end up being the handcuff there.
65:45So Jadon Blue? What's that? Wasn't Malik Davis the fourth running back to come in?
65:49Or the third? I think Phil Maffa played before him.
65:52Yeah, I don't know who's going to – like this is the worst – this is one of the worst backup running back situations in the NFL.
66:01It's got to be. I mean it's up there.
66:03Maybe I'm crazy, but it looks that way. And Jackson Dart thinks it's the Giants.
66:08Does anybody still care if Jordan Mason played any passing downs?
66:11I do. Third and seven, he was in. He passed protected.
66:15It was good. Second and eight, he ran left guard for a yard.
66:19I've only got one more. That's good. I've only got one thing to say.
66:23Well, that's probably not true. But one thing that I can think of right now.
66:28Ted Earl McMillan played 55% of his snaps in the slot.
66:31Jalen Coker, like 45%. So they moved those guys around, and I love that.
66:35That's awesome. Also, I have a segment here called Gary Drafts an Awesome FFT Team.
66:40And I thought it's kind of like if you have a late pick, you can pull this off.
66:46This was a 10-team league. I think it's possible to pull it off in a 12-team league, except for the quarterback tight end combo probably.
66:53But he went James Cook, Chase Brown, Devontae Smith, Zay Flowers, Lamar Jackson, Sam Laporta.
66:58I'm not sure you're getting Lamar Jackson around five in most drafts, but this is a 10-team league, so you could.
67:04Tony Pollard or Parker Washington at his flex. And he has Jonathan Brooks, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, Ray Davis, and Brock Purdy.
67:11That is such an FFT team. And he said he got a D on the website he drafted on.
67:17I was like, I love this team. Cook, Chase Brown, Devontae Smith, Zay Flowers, Lamar Jackson, Sam Laporta, Tony Pollard, Parker Washington,
67:24Jonathan Brooks, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, Ray Davis, Brock Purdy.
67:27I love it. No one rooting for you and Heath Spettmore.
67:30Absolutely. So Heath, you got to let him shave for the event.
67:34I think, look, I start growing it after the family function.
67:37There's going to be – Hold on. Hold on.
67:40When is the family function? How do you not know when the family function is?
67:45I keep forgetting to ask. It doesn't matter. It's in January.
67:48No. But if it's January 1st, you're fine. No, it's not.
67:51If it's January 31st, you're screwed. I know it's after like the regular season.
67:56It's like mid-January. Look, it doesn't matter. These are important – Well, it does matter because the bet may come down to
68:02week 18 in which case then you should have to start growing the beard immediately after.
68:07I'm not doing that. No. It's going to – This is the same outcome.
68:12If I grow it after the event or before the event.
68:15No. This is exactly what you do. It's the same outcome.
68:18This flamboyant, any bet you want, Devontae Smith will outscore his A-Flowers.
68:22If you name the stakes are the words that you said and then immediately you first start qualifying when he's going to outscore him.
68:30This is show business. If his quarterback stays healthy and in games he plays a certain percentage of the snaps that I determined.
68:37And also I'm going to alter the – what we're betting and I'll grow the beard a little bit later unless something comes up in February.
68:45Oh my gosh. What if my wife wants to go out to dinner in March?
68:49There's no way that you are going to do this.
68:52I'm not making the bet because you won't do it.
68:55We do have to make the growth you have right now.
68:59What? How much facial hair growth is this right now?
69:02Two or three days? That's two or three days?
69:05Yeah. You can't really see it because of the ring light.
69:08We have to have a few carve-outs for what if my wife wants to go out to dinner in March.
69:14Keith, it's March madness, man. I can't have a beard.
69:17All right. We got to go. We got to go.
69:20Wait a minute. Wait a minute. What's Heath doing if Devante Smith outperforms Zay Flowers?
69:25I've lost sight of this because everybody is so focused on the beard.
69:29He's donating $500. What I offered to do if Adam would make a bet and keep it was give $500 to St.
69:36Jude, but Adam doesn't like kids and he doesn't want to help.
69:39Oh, Jesus. First of all, we never said anything about me keeping the bet.
69:44The only thing was I had to make the bet.
69:47I didn't have to keep it, right? Remember when Adam didn't shave three lines in his head?
69:52Yeah. All right. I can't go ballistic anymore. We'll talk to you guys tomorrow with another episode with kind of a cheat sheet.
69:59If you missed any of the position previews or catch up on what you need to know, we'll talk to you then on Fantasy Football.
