1:58Hello, Dave. Are you going to start whispering Express again?
2:01Yeah, when I'm feeling it, I was feeling like a whisper there.
2:05Why are you standing and moving your desk? What's going on?
2:08No, no, I got a lot of energy right now.
2:11Coming up with bold predictions, particularly on short notice, is getting the juices flowing.
2:15I'm pretty pumped about it. Wanted to get on my feet and fire off these bold predictions.
2:20I've got five bold predictions involving three, four, five, six, seven, eight players.
2:24Okay, let's go least spicy to spiciest. Okay, least spiciest.
2:27At least I think this is the least spiciest is Casey Concepcion gets 100 catches.
2:32And I was originally going to say he's going to set the rookie record for receptions among wide receivers.
2:38But I decided to lower that by nine hole catches.
2:41I wanted Malik Nabors to still hold that record.
2:44Of course, Brock Bowers has the actual record, but he's a tight end.
2:47But I think Concepcion just dominates targets for Kansas City, for Cleveland.
2:51And I see the Browns throwing a lot. I think he's their best receiver.
2:55I've been taking him in round eight. I'm not going to slow down.
2:59I think he's got the speed, the quickness that's going to get him open a lot and make him an easy target for whoever the quarterback is.
3:08That's pretty spicy. If that's the least spicy. I think that's my least.
3:12Well, maybe this next one is the least spicy then.
3:15Yeah, let's. Okay. So Concepcion, because only five wide receivers had 100 catches last year.
3:19So for Concepcion to do that would be pretty awesome.
3:22Okay, Dave, what's next? Isaiah likely finishes top six in PPR points per game.
3:26Least spice, less spicy. That's less spicy than Concepcion?
3:29Okay. Well, you are a master of spice. No question about it when it comes to salsas and chicken wings and other delicacies out there.
3:37So you would know. But I think likely just sees a lot of target volume in New York.
3:42We've seen him perform well when he has gotten targets.
3:45Six career, or not six. I'm all over the place today.
3:49I told you. Juices are flowing. Nine career games with at least six targets.
3:53Eight times has he had 12.5 PPR points. That was in Baltimore when he wasn't the number two target getter.
3:59That was when he occasionally had six or more targets per game.
4:03Now he should routinely get six targets per game from one Jackson Dart, and I think he'll end up being very good for fantasy managers.
4:10Yep. I love it. You talked about him today as one of the best values going in the 90s right now, Isaiah Likely.
4:17Definitely a good pick around eight or nine. Around round eight or nine.
4:21Okay. Let's get one more little spicier than Isaiah Likely before the break.
4:25Jared Goff finishes top five in fantasy points per game, and the Lions finished first in the NFL in points per game.
4:32I think it's pretty damn spicy because, you know, let me, I'm going to get my notes here.
4:37Will you talk about the basis for it? And then I'll tell you why it's probably not going to happen, which is why this is a bold prediction.
4:46Go ahead. I think the Lions defense is in trouble.
4:49I think their schedule is favorable. I love how Jared Goff's splits are.
4:53He literally averages five fantasy points per game more when he's playing indoors than outdoors.
4:57Only six games this year outdoors. Two of them come in the last two weeks of the season, and I think everything looks good for Detroit this year.
5:06Maybe not the interior of that offensive line. That could be a little bit better, but on paper it seems okay.
5:12Jameer Gibbs is the 101. He's going to do damage in the passing game.
5:17We love him on Ross St. Brown. We love Jamison Williams.
5:20We love Sam Laporta. This feels like a season where Detroit is going to be in a bunch of high-scoring games, and
5:27I think they're going to win a lot of them, and Jared Goff will be a big reason why.
5:32So he's been eighth or ninth per game, two straight seasons.
5:36He's been 13th or better per game, four straight seasons.
5:39So considering Goff is basically going as QB 12, you can pretty much say you're drafting him at his floor.
5:45Why is it hard for him to finish top five?
5:48I don't have necessarily top five, but 24 fantasy points per game.
5:52That's most likely going to make you top five.
5:54Matthew Stafford is the only quarterback. Matthew Stafford last year, the only quarterback in the last four seasons to average 24 or
6:01more fantasy points per game and six points per passing touchdown leagues while being on pace for fewer than 200 rushing yards.
6:08Sure. So it's difficult. However, it used to happen kind of a lot.
6:12I mean, Stafford did it a different time. Tom Brady multiple times.
6:15Matt Ryan twice. Drew Brees multiple times. Ben Roethlisberger.
6:18Andrew Luck. Dak Prescott. They all averaged 24 or more points per game while being on pace for fewer than 200 rushing yards.
6:25Goff's not going to come anywhere near 200. He's not going to come near 100.
6:30Uh, so it's possible. And could he lead the league in passing?
6:33Could he just has to have that special 40 plus touchdown season?
6:37It happens. Which is absolutely in play given the targets that he has.
6:41We know he's got a good enough arm to get there in the Lions.
6:45I think we're going to throw more. Okay. So pretty spicy.

8:02What's next? Let's talk about guys. We're going to take in the early rounds.
8:06And this is negative. Justin Jefferson fails to average 16 PPR points per game.
8:11And Rasheed Rice fails to average 15 PPR points per game.
8:14So spicy. My goodness. There's no doubting Justin Jefferson's ability.
8:17I'm doubting the quarterback. Murray hasn't produced a fantasy receiver north of 15 PPR points per game since DeAndre Hopkins did it in five games in 2022.
8:25That's also the last time any wide receivers averaged even 13 PPR points per game with Kyler Murray.
8:31It's not like he's had a cavalcade of elite wide receivers coming in and out of Arizona.
8:36Marquise Brown, Marvin Harrison Jr. Obviously, these aren't on the same level as Justin Jefferson, but we're coming off of a year
8:42where the Vikings passing game wasn't prolific. And when it was, it was Carson Wentz under center.
8:48And we saw Justin Jefferson in that five-game stretch average just about 16 PPR points per game.
8:53I think he falls just a shade under it in this bold prediction.
8:57Obviously, I wouldn't be drafting him as a top 20 player if I thought he wasn't going to be able to get there.
9:04It's just a bold prediction. It's just for fun.
9:07Rice is someone that I might actually buy into this bold prediction a little bit because I think the tenor of this
9:13Chiefs offense is going to change as long as Kenneth Walker is healthy.
9:17We know they haven't been able to run the ball worth a lick the last few years.
9:22Rasheed Rice has benefited because he's gotten so many short area targets, red zone targets.
9:27He's been an extension of the run game for lack of anybody else on this team being able to do it.
9:33Same thing with Travis Kelsey. Well, now they've got a run game.
9:37And not only do they have Kenneth Walker, I liked what I saw from Emmitt Johnson this preseason.
9:42So he might be able to pitch in a little bit too.
9:46The more the Chiefs run, the fewer targets that'll be there for Rasheed Rice, who, let's face it, just hasn't looked the same the last couple of seasons.
9:55I don't think we can expect him to have great efficiency.
9:58We can't expect him to have great efficiency. And if his volume goes down, then you're going to be looking at somebody
10:05that's under 15 PPR points per game. I mean, to say, I don't know what you mean by he hasn't looked the same the last couple of seasons.
10:13He can't stay healthy, but when he's been on the field, he's one of the most consistent players in fantasy.
10:19Why? The Chiefs have been... But why? Because he gets a ton of targets.
10:24Exactly. And so if they're not throwing as much, certainly not to him.
10:28I'm not sure I buy that they won't be throwing as much.
10:31They've been top seven in pass attempts per game, six straight seasons.
10:35The lowest they've been in the Mahomes era has been 15th per game.
10:39They've been top 10 in all but one year with Mahomes.
10:42That's just Andy Reid. That's just like what they do.
10:45Sure. I get it. And I would add that I would expect them to still throw a decent amount, but I think
10:52fantasy managers, and this isn't a bold prediction. This is just how I genuinely feel.
10:56I think you've got to make a choice on who do you trust more between Kenneth Walker, the third and Rasheed Rice.
11:03You can't take them both. I wouldn't want to have both of them on my fantasy team.
11:08One of them should be great. One of them should be okay.
11:12There's also a world where both of them are just okay.
11:15So I would be a little nervous buying into both of them.
11:19I'm not drafting Rasheed Rice unless it's really close to the end of round two, and that's in full PPR.
11:25Round three, I'm almost passing on him. I'm sorry, non-PPR, I'm passing on him in early round three.
11:31And I think there's a scenario where they're both great.
11:34And again, I've said it a number of times, but the last three years, we haven't really had a great Patrick Mahomes.
11:40We haven't really had a great Chiefs offense. They've been a very big...
11:44They've been a great Patrick Mahomes last year. Not as a passer.
11:48As a rusher, yes. As a passer, yeah, he was good.
11:51But the Chiefs offense has missed an explosive element in both the passing game and the running game.
11:57I don't see how they have it in the passing game unless Xavier Worthy is a different player now.
12:03Cyrus Allen. Maybe. But anyway, Rasheed Rice last year was the fifth best wide receiver in fantasy.
12:08The year before that, he played only three games.
12:10He was the second or third best wide receiver in fantasy.
12:14So I don't think he's going to be that good again.
12:17But they could just have a better offense. That's always been my argument.
12:21Now, one thing I want to bring up, Dave, for the Justin Jefferson thing.
12:25This gets forgotten pretty quickly. Trey McBride last year with Kyler Murray, first five games, he averaged 12.5 points per game.
12:32And then he averaged 21.1 in his last 12 games with Brissette.
12:35So I haven't drafted Justin Jefferson once for what it's worth.
12:39I did. I just did. I took him in round two as the sixth receiver.
12:43No, he was the seventh receiver off the board.
12:46And look, again, I think anybody is better than J.J.
12:49McCarthy. And I think Kyler is certainly one of those guys.
12:52But I'm not racing to take Justin Jefferson in round one.
12:56But I think if I had come on here and said, Justin Jefferson shouldn't be a first round pick.
13:02I don't think that that's a bold prediction. That's like, OK, idiot.
13:05You don't think he's a top 12 overall player.
13:08We're trying to get bolder, Adam. We're trying to make some waves.
13:12No, I like it. I would pick all of the top 11 running backs over Jefferson, even in full PPR.
13:18I'm pretty close to that, too. Yes. OK. Last bold prediction.
13:21I'm staying negative. Ashton Gentry, Jeremiah Love, Brees Hall, all fail to average 15 PPR points per game this year.
13:27OK. Let me just get a little bit of context.
13:30Gentry, I think he came close to that last year.
13:33He was close. He didn't do it. Love obviously has never played in the league.
13:38I think Brees Hall has done it before. He just hasn't done it, I think, the last two seasons or two of the last three seasons.
13:46If you want me to look it up, I got it right in front of me.
13:51I had 15.1 in 2024. 13 last year. Two of these teams I don't think are going to score a ton of points.
13:58That's the Raiders and the Jets. I think the Cardinals can score a ton of points.
14:02I don't know if Love's going to get them all.
14:06They're all three going to share at this point.
14:08Gentry, especially with the ankle injury that he has.
14:11I'm glad he's working off on the side and Raiders practice now.
14:15He should be OK for week one just based on that alone.
14:18But they're not going to try and put him on the field.
14:22And in a year where the Raiders probably aren't going to make the playoffs, that's not a bold prediction.
14:28That's kind of a spoiler at this point. Why would the Raiders overwork Gentry, especially when Mike Washington has shown what they've shown him?
14:35So I'm a little bit nervous about Gentry getting that huge workload that we thought he was going to have back in July.
14:42And then same thing with Jeremiah Love in Arizona.
14:45They're not expected to win this year. So why would they overwork him?
14:49And both of those teams, by the way, first-year head coaches, they're going to be there for the long haul.
14:55They're expected to work with these running backs for the long haul.
14:58I'm nervous about either one of these running backs coming through in a major way.
15:03I'm not drafting any of these guys until round three.
15:06Again, not bold prediction. That's reality. I'm not taking any of them with a top 24 pick, even in full PPR.
15:13And Brees Hall, to me, is more of a round four pick in full PPR.
15:17I don't like the fact at all that he's going to share with two other running backs.
15:22I've talked a million times about how Frank Reich uses multiple running backs.
15:26Frank Reich, three times, 10 years as a play caller, has had a running back average 15-plus PPR points per game.
15:33I don't think this is going to be time number four.
15:36Brees Hall is a great talent. He's going to share too much, and the Jets aren't going to score enough for him
