Breece Hall

NegativeUsage13:00

Breece Hall is highly efficient, ranking alongside Christian McCaffrey and Bijan Robinson in targets and yards per target, but faces concerns regarding the Jets' committee approach and his ability to consistently produce high PPR scores despite high touch volume.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection1:51

Brock Purdy is a high-end fantasy asset, ranking as the QB8 in projections despite a consensus ADP of QB13. Since entering the NFL, he ranks first in yards per attempt, second in touchdown rate, and first in success rate; he averaged over 24 fantasy points per game in nine contests last year.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveProjection16:57

Chase Brown is considered a potential first-round pick, with his ADP rising to 14th overall. He demonstrated elite production from week eight onward last year, averaging 19.4 touches and 21.2 PPR points per game, and is receiving high praise from Joe Burrow.

Insight page
PositiveValue21:16

The analysts express high enthusiasm for Chase Brown, suggesting he should be considered a first-round pick despite his current ADP of 14.1.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeInjury0:09

Chuba Hubbard is dealing with a hamstring injury that is expected to keep him week-to-week, which directly impacts the workload outlook for Jonathan Brooks.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveBreakout44:41

Colston Loveland is a high-upside breakout candidate who averaged 7.3 targets per game over the final six games of his rookie season; he is a round-three or four target who has shown massive efficiency when receiving five-plus targets.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveProjection42:06

DJ Moore is a target in round four; analysts suggest ignoring his 85-target season from last year and focusing on his history with Joe Brady, where he consistently produced at least 13.9 PPR points per game.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveValue15:15

DeAndre Swift is viewed as a league-winning value in round 5, offering a surefire RB2 floor with contingent upside to reach top-10 status if Kyle Monongai misses time. He is expected to benefit from Ben Johnson's high-scoring offensive scheme.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveUsage41:48

Devontae Smith is a round-three target who showed high-end production in a small sample size without A.J. Brown, averaging 16 PPR points per game; his fantasy outlook depends on his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveProjection34:20

George Pickens is a potential league winner who averaged 15.4 PPR points per game in his final 11 games last season; he has the upside for double-digit touchdowns.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveUsage37:48

Jalen Waddle is projected to see significant volume in the Broncos' offense, with Dave Richard expecting him to exceed seven and a half targets per game; Sean Payton has a history of hyper-targeting his WR1, and Waddle's versatility allows him to win at all three levels.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveValue0:09

Jonathan Brooks is considered a potential league winner, with his draft stock moving into the round six-seven turn following news of Chuba Hubbard's hamstring injury. He is viewed as a high-upside target for managers looking to take chances in the middle rounds.

Insight page
PositiveValue26:03

Jonathan Brooks is a high-upside target whose value is rising due to Chuba Hubbard's hamstring injury; while he was a value in rounds 7-8, his cost may climb to round 5.

Insight page
NegativeSleeper48:52

Jonathan Brooks is no longer considered a primary sleeper target by the analysts.

Insight page

KC Concepcion

PositiveSleeper48:57

KC Concepcion is a recommended sleeper being drafted in every league by Dave Richard.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveUsage29:28

Kenneth Gainwell is a mid-round target (round 9) with PPR upside, projected for 45 catches; his role as a pass-catching back provides a high floor for PPR formats.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveUsage21:55

Kenneth Walker is a potential league winner who could reach top-five RB status if his passing game involvement increases; projections suggest north of 40 catches is on the table.

Insight page

Luther Burden

NegativeValue36:13

Luther Burden's ADP has dropped to the end of round 4 or start of round 5 due to a groin injury, which actually improves his profit potential by lowering the acquisition cost.

Insight page
PositiveRole36:17

Luther Burden is expected to be a versatile weapon who can line up anywhere and work at all three levels of the field; he serves as an easy target for Caleb Williams, which is crucial given Williams' early-career completion rate struggles.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveProjection37:06

Dave Richard views Malik Nabors as a late round two pick who will be the Giants' primary target leader; despite coming off an ACL tear, he is expected to be ready for Week 1 and finish as a top-12 wide receiver.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveSleeper49:03

Marshawn Lloyd is a sleeper target due to Josh Jacobs dealing with minor injuries.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveProjection18:37

Amarion Hampton has a ceiling of 20 PPR points per game, similar to Devon Achane's production in Miami, provided he maintains his role as the primary workhorse in a run-heavy offense.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveValue38:49

Parker Washington is a high-upside target in the late fifth to seventh round; he maintained a 14.4 PPR points per game pace from Week 7 onward last year, and while his late-season four-game stretch of 19 PPR points per game is an outlier, he remains a strong value.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeProjection1:51

Patrick Mahomes is a polarizing pick; while he offers a high ceiling, concerns exist regarding his rushing volume due to a previous leg injury and the potential for a more run-heavy Kansas City offense with Kenneth Walker. He is currently being drafted as QB14, though he maintained a 20.9 fantasy points per game floor in 2023.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

PositiveRole27:37

Rico Dowdle is viewed as the 1A running back in Pittsburgh with goal-line upside, making him a viable mid-round target who can split work with Jalen Warren.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveProjection43:30

Sam Laporta is a league-winning tight end candidate who could reach 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdowns; he benefits from a high-target-share system under Drew Petzing and a favorable indoor-heavy schedule.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveBreakout1:51

Trevor Lawrence is identified as a favorite breakout candidate, currently being drafted as QB10. He averaged over 30 fantasy points per game in his final eight outings including the playoffs, and is expected to benefit from a more comfortable role in Liam Cohen's system.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveBreakout46:08

Tucker Craft is a potential league-winner who was highly productive before his ACL injury, scoring seven touchdowns in his first six games; he is a hyper-efficient YAC tight end who could see increased volume with Romeo Dobbs and Dontavian Wicks gone.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveBreakout35:28

Zay Flowers has top-five WR upside if the Ravens increase their passing volume; he ranked in the top five in route participation, target share, and yards per route run last year.

0:00We're talking league-winning fantasy options here on Fantasy Football Today on CBS Sports Network, and we're excited to help you win your fantasy leagues.
0:07I'm Jamie Eisenberg, that's Dave Richard, that's Heath Cummings.
0:09Before we get into the quarterbacks, which is where we're going to start with the show today, got some news on Chuba Hubbard impacting Jonathan Brooks.
0:16We're going to talk about Jonathan Brooks as a potential league winner, but Chuba Hubbard has a hamstring injury that's going to make him week to week.
0:24That's according to ESPN. Just real quick before we get into the full Brooks conversation, when are you drafting Jonathan Brooks now?
0:30Probably round seven. I had him in early round eight before this news.
0:33Round six, seven turn. Right at that point when you want to start taking chances with your draft picks in fantasy, he's the top name on the list.
0:41Yep, Jonathan Brooks, one of the best feel-good stories coming back after not playing in 2025 with his second ACL tear that he suffered in 2024.
0:48Now everybody's going to be excited about him. Let's get excited about some quarterbacks because that's obviously where we're going to start here.
0:55And we're talking about guys that could be league winners.
0:57So what we kind of done with this is one league winning quarterback.
1:01Obviously, Josh Allen would be the guy that we all said if we're just taking out costs, but we're factoring in where
1:07these guys could get drafted and how they can help you win your fantasy league.
1:11The guy for you Heath is Brock Purdy. For you, Dave, it's Patrick Mahomes.
1:15For me, it's Trevor Lawrence. Their average draft position on CBS Sports right now is all in round nine, which is kind
1:21of interesting that that's where we went and we did not discuss that.
1:25So let's start with Brock Purdy because a very polarizing guy to a certain extent, because he has been a very good
1:31fantasy quarterback, but a lot of managers don't draft him to be a number one option.
1:35I just don't think people have ever let go of the fact that he was drafted as Mr.
1:40Irrelevant in round seven, because if you look at what Brock Purdy's done since he's entered the NFL first in yards per
1:46attempt, second in touchdown rate, first in success rate, and even in fantasy over the last three seasons, he's the number four quarterback in fantasy points per game.
1:54Last year through week 17, he was the number one quarterback in fantasy points per game.
1:58And I was talking about this on social media a little bit yesterday.
2:02You know it. The craziest projection that I could make is if I just gave the 49ers the same number of pass
2:08attempts as last year and gave Brock Purdy his career passing efficiency, because that'd be 574 attempts at 8.6 yards per attempt,
2:14which is almost 5,000 yards and it'd be 35 passing touchdowns.
2:17That'd be the QB one. Yeah, it'd be QB one by far.
2:20He averaged over 24 fantasy points per game in six point in nine games last year.
2:25Now he's got Mike Evans. Now he's got Dijon Stribling.
2:28Debo Samuels back in town. George Kittle's healthy. And Christian McCaffrey, we know the inefficiency with him as a runner was a
2:34little bit because of just how game flow was in the offensive line for San Francisco.
2:38A little bit's on CMC too. But Brock Purdy is really in a great position to have a big year.
2:44And so too is Patrick Mahomes. And I think it's true.
2:47Oh, we're going to get to Mahomes in a second.
2:49We're going to get to Mahomes in a second.
2:52Oh, all right. I didn't know who you were.
2:54Well, you mentioned the names there. Does he have those guys?
2:57Because we don't have Kittle on the field yet dealing with the Achilles injury still on the pup list.
3:03Mike Evans has already missed time in training camp with an injury.
3:06Stribling missed a little bit of time as well.
3:09Christian Kirk has not been able to practice. Another name that should be part of.
3:13Don't forget about Ricky Pearsall. He's not going to have at all.
3:16Can we trust Brock Purdy? Now, last year he did all this with a very different receiving core because a lot of guys were banged up.
3:23But can you trust him to get by if a lot of these moving parts are not going to be on the field consistently?
3:30I think, and listen, the one thing people will say when you talk about how good Brock Purdy is, well, it's Kyle Shanahan.
3:36And I think for fantasy football, you shouldn't care because Kyle Shanahan's still there.
3:40He's still calling the plays. It's the same thing.
3:42And if you look at the track record of Kyle Shanahan, they've had injuries upon injuries upon injuries.
3:47They had Jimmy Garoppolo, and it was still over eight yards per pass attempt.
3:51I just think in this offense, as long as Purdy himself stays healthy, it's going to be kind of like the tagline on fantasy football today.
3:58Some combination of Kittle, CMC, Evans, Debo, and De'Jong Stribling making a lot of noise early in the season.
4:04So round nine is the value for him, but he's actually QB 13 off the board.
4:08You have him a little bit higher than that, though.
4:11He is QB 8 in my projections. Okay, so you're willing to reach a little bit for Brock Purdy or just play
4:17the board and see how he falls. All right, let's talk about Mahomes now.
4:21So another injury-related situation coming off last year's ACL tear.
4:24The big thing that we saw from Mahomes last season, which was different than the three previous seasons when he was not
4:30a great fantasy quarterback, was the rushing production. How much does that maybe take away from what Mahomes can do this year
4:36if he's not going to run to that level?
4:38Because A, probably not going to do it because of injury.
4:41B, may not have to because the run game is going to be a little bit different.
4:46And he said himself that he doesn't want to run as much as he did last year, but push comes to shove.
4:52I'm sure there's going to be moments where he does scramble with the football.
4:56I'm not going to expect him to do what he did last year when it comes to running the football.
5:01But I can't help but think about what he gains having Kenneth Walker in the backfield.
5:06Walker looks like he's actually a really good pass catcher.
5:09We've seen it from him before in spurts, but the Chiefs seem to really be leaning into that in Walker's game.
5:14And if Walker forces defenses to change how they play against Kansas City, then there's going to be one-on-one situations open downfield for Patrick Mahomes to hit.
5:22I went back and I looked at his two seasons when he had a running back average north of 15 PPR points per game.
5:28One was 2018. That was Kareem Hunt. Hunt was a monster that year.
5:32And so was Mahomes. Over 32 fantasy points per game.
5:352023 was the other year. It was Pacheco. Pacheco barely over that 15 PPR point per game mark.
5:40And Mahomes had a floor season you talked about at 20.9 fantasy points per game.
5:44I think if we're drafting him with that absolute floriest floor of 21 fantasy points per game, and it's round nine, that's
5:50absolutely brilliant because we know what he's capable of doing.
5:53We know what that ceiling is. As in last year, for crying out loud, 28 fantasy points per game in his first
5:59six games, that was without Rasheed Rice. In his first eight games, Rasheed Rice was back for two of them, almost 29 fantasy points per game.
6:06I can't leave somebody like that on the table.
6:09Even if he's my number two quarterback, I'm taking him late in every draft I can.
6:13But you're basically out, right? And that's surprising because you're the Chiefs guy.
6:17Yeah, completely out. And it's more of a projections thing than a Chiefs thing or even thinking that they're not going to be good.
6:23It's just that I think the arrival of Kenneth Walker means that they run the ball more than they have recently.
6:29They've been one of the most pass-heavy offenses in the NFL.
6:32And I think Mahomes coming off of the leg injury means that he runs the ball less.
6:37So if he has fewer pass attempts and fewer rush attempts, and I don't think they really added anything as a weapon
6:43in the receiving game that's going to make him more efficient.
6:46Oh, come on. Cyrus Allen, baby. Cyrus Allen's doing very well so far.
6:49But it wasn't just last year. He's had at least 300 yards rushing each of the last six seasons.
6:55And the one year that he didn't, that 2018 season, he ran for 272 yards and two touchdowns.
7:00It's normally been two to four fantasy points per game that he's got from running.
7:04I hope he gets one fantasy point per game from rushing this year.
7:07And I think he probably throws less than he has in a long time.
7:11I would prefer to draft him as a backup.
7:14I know you're taking him as a low-end starter.
7:16I think you're taking him as a backup as well.
7:19But then you get into the mix of guys that might have more upside than him.
7:23When you talk about Tyler Shuck and Kyler Murray now.
7:26You throw Malik Willis in there. It's true. It's as crazy as it sounds.
7:30Well, listen. It's just what your view of name versus game.
7:33Because everybody loves Patrick Mahomes' name. He's still being drafted.
7:36Again, I think he's QB. So he's QB 14 right now.
7:39So Stafford's 12. Purdy's 13. Mahomes is 14. But again, all in that round nine range.
7:43So we'll show a Twitter poll here about which of the quarterbacks that we are talking about here.
7:48Who likes them the most. Who likes which of these guys the most.
7:52For me, it's Trevor Lawrence. Again, going ahead of these guys.
7:55He's going as QB 10 right now. I'm just excited because we hear Parker Washington this and Brian Thomas that.
8:00We know Jacoby Myers and Travis Hunter. This is the guy that's orchestrating this offense.
8:04And what we saw last year in Liam Cohen's system, a lot more running.
8:08Certainly the rushing touchdowns. Nine rushing touchdowns, which was a career high.
8:12I don't think you can expect that again. I know Heath will say the word that everybody loves, regression.
8:17But he did average over 30 fantasy points per game in his last eight outings when you factor in the playoffs.
8:23And now we're talking about just getting more comfortable.
8:25And again, a better version of Washington. Hopefully a better version, a healthier version of Travis Hunter.
8:30And then the maybe resurgence of Brian Thomas, which makes things fun.
8:33Plus you have a run game that's probably going to take a little bit of a step back, at least early in
8:39the season because of the change from Travis. At that point, Etienne, Travis Achan now going to Basial Toot and Chris Rodriguez.
8:45So for me, I would almost pass on all the top tier quarterbacks because I target Trevor Lawrence based on where he's going.
8:52And he's one of my favorite breakouts for this year.
8:54So let's show you the Twitter poll again. These are just factoring all three quarterbacks.
8:59You could probably guess who's going to win this one because I think a lot of people are excited about Trevor Lawrence.
9:05They should be. So which quarterback would you rather have this season?
9:08All three being drafted in round nine using the CBS Sports ADP.
9:11Trevor Lawrence, about 1,100 votes, getting 56.9% of that.
9:14Brock Purdy, 20.3. And Patrick Mahomes, 22.9. Now you haven't ranked Purdy over all these guys, right?
9:18Oh, yes. I will say this was not this close early on.
9:22I think Brock Purdy was around 10% of the vote.
9:24And I tried to influence the vote to make my guy live better.
9:28And just shared with the people on Twitter that Brock Purdy was better than both of these guys on a per-game basis
9:34last year and has been better than both of these guys on a per-game basis for the last three years.
9:40Yeah, listen, you know, history matters in some of these cases.
9:43Mahomes obviously has a great history. We'll see if Trevor Lawrence can finally have that consistent season because we've seen it in sports.
9:49You know, the lesson here is you can wait a little bit on quarterback and come away with an absolute stud.
9:55You don't have to take one early in your drafts.
9:58We've seen the ADP for Josh Allen in round two.
10:00That's still too early. All those other elite-tier quarterbacks that you mentioned, you don't have to take them early unless they just absolutely fall to a steal price.
10:08This is the reason why. You can get one of Lawrence, Mahomes, Purdy.
10:12You can make the argument for any of them to be the best.
10:15Yep. It's going to be fun to draft quarterbacks this year.
10:18We're going to take a break right now here on Fantasy Football.
10:22I'd say when we come back and get into some running backs, Heath and Dave will debate.
10:26Brees Hall will get more into the Jonathan Brooks news that Chuba Hubbard is going to miss some time.
10:32That's next here on FFT. The first few weeks back at school set the tone for the entire year.

12:39That's rosettastone.com slash rs10. Welcome back to Fantasy Football.
12:41Today we're talking about league winners, and now we're talking about running backs.
12:45So we're each going to give you two guys, I think, that qualify as league winners, and then we're going to finish
12:51it up with three running backs that could be league winners.
12:54One kind of got a little bit of a boost with an injury that happened today.
12:58So we'll talk about Jonathan Brooks a little bit at the end of this segment.
13:02But let's talk about a couple guys for you, Heath, and that's Brees Hall and DeAndre Swift.
13:07And let's just get right to it. You love Brees Hall.
13:10Yes. You're a little bit concerned about Brees Hall.
13:12Not even a little bit, a lot. Make your case for, make your case against.
13:17So, I mean, I think the case for Brees Hall has to start simply with how awesome he is.
13:22He has been an efficient rusher and receiver ever since he entered the NFL, averaging 4.5 yards per carry for his career, 6.6 yards per target.
13:29He's actually one of three running backs since he was drafted that have at least 250 targets and have averaged at least 6.6 yards per target.
13:36It's Christian McCaffrey. It's B. John Robinson. It's Brees Hall.
13:39And I don't think it's a stretch to put him in that class with those types of guys.
13:44And so the next thing is, is he going to get more work than he did last year?
13:49Because it was a disaster in terms of the split and the offense.
13:53I think the offense is better. I think the team is smarter and gets him a larger share of the work.
13:58We've already seen reports from camp that kind of indicate that's going to be the case.
14:03Would not be surprised at all if Brees Hall had an 80 target season.
14:07Let me admit to something that I haven't admitted to yet.
14:10I hope I'm wrong on this because I agree on the talent part about Brees Hall.
14:14And he was very efficient last year. 4.4 yards per carry, over 9 yards per catch.
14:18That was awesome. Jimmy, he had 17.4 touches per game and couldn't even get past 13 PPR points per game.
14:24He had 8 games last year. I almost said 10 games under 8 PPR points.
14:28It's 8 games under 10 PPR points last year.
14:31What's changed in New York? They still want to use three running backs.
14:34Frank Reich has this track record of using multiple running backs.
14:37One on running downs, one on passing downs. I think Brees Hall is good.
14:41I'm worried about this Jets team putting up a lot of points.
14:44I'm worried about Brees Hall becoming more efficient than he was last year when he was already efficient, already getting a lot
14:50of work, and still putting up a bad number.
14:53I think he's worth it in late round 4, early round 5.
14:56I think round 3 is way too soon. And his average draft position right now is 31.7, so round 3 is basically
15:02where you're going to have to pay the price to get Brees Hall.
15:06But I see both sides of this. I just think the Jets are going to be better, and I think by an
15:12extension of that, their best player is going to benefit.
15:15So we'll see how that impacts Brees Hall. You got DeAndre Swift as a league winner as well, not going at the
15:21same range, going more in the round 4 spot for Swift.
15:24How concerned are you based on what we saw second half of the season with Khan Monongai?
15:29And now we know Monongai's healthy after being a little bit banged up.
15:32Does Swift have league winning upside if he has a little bit of an anchor?
15:36So I think he has league winning upside at his consensus ADP, which is in round 5, because it allows you to
15:42draft those elite wide receivers and still get a surefire starting RB2 in round 5.
15:47But I also think that the Monongai battling with injury is kind of a good reminder, and it applies to Swift, it applies to Kyron Williams.
15:54These guys that we rank as RB2s who are in timeshares, but the offense is just so awesome that they're still worthy as good mid-range RB2s.
16:01The contingent upside they have, we usually think about that for Kyle Monongai or for Blake Corum, that we're drafting these handcuffs
16:07that are kind of flexes that could be must-start running backs.
16:10But if something happens to Kyle Monongai, we could see just not, and listen, Swift beat ADP last year.
16:15He was a lot better than that. He has almost every year.
16:19Right now he's being drafted right around RB23. He's probably going to slightly beat it again.
16:23But if Monongai goes down, he's a top 10 running back.
16:26And then we have the new wrinkle of Ben Johnson saying that he wants to have the highest scoring offense in NFL history.
16:32That could help both those guys. So hopefully it's good for Swift and good for Monongai.
16:37I'm going to show you a Twitter poll here of which running back would you rather have this season, Brees Hall or DeAndre Swift.
16:43Again, not comparing two guys that we're fighting about here, just two guys that Heath is excited about.
16:48And no surprise, based on ADP, the Twitter poll as well.
16:51Well, Brees Hall getting 55.8% of the votes. All right, Dave, a couple guys for you that you think could be league
16:57winners are Chase Brown and Omar in Hampton. Let's start with Brown because right now his ADP puts him early in round two, 14th overall.
17:04We all think he should be a round one pick.
17:07I think he should be a top 10 pick, Jamie.
17:10And you can make the case that he should go ahead of Christian McCaffrey.
17:14And that sounds crazy on the surface. But when you think about all the flaws in McCaffrey's game and the upside in
17:20Chase Brown's game, it does make sense. Obviously, you can think about the upside in McCaffrey's game and the flaws in Chase Brown's game.
17:26And then obviously you put McCaffrey ahead of it.
17:29But remember last year from week eight on, he averaged 19.4 touches per game and 21.2 PPR points per game.
17:34Any player that's got upside for 20 plus PPR points is a first round pick in fantasy football.
17:39It was ludicrous when he was going in late round two.
17:42That was about two weeks ago in ADP. Now that he's a top 15 pick, it's a little bit more reasonable.
17:48If I'm one of those fantasy managers with a late first round pick and I like a lot of receivers that could
17:54make it back to me in round two, I'm taking Chase Brown in round one and not thinking twice about it.
18:00It's exciting to see if he can perform like this over the course of the season in a contract year.
18:06I think that definitely helps. And then you have almost everybody in Cincinnati talking him up.
18:10Joe Burrow saying that he's as valuable as Jamar Chase.
18:13So really excited to see what Chase Brown can do.
18:16And Morgan Hamden's a little bit tougher to trust at this point because of what Mike McDaniel said.
18:21So their offensive coordinator, former Dolphins coach, comes out and says we're going to use all three running backs, basically alluding to
18:27Amarian Hampton, Keaton Mitchell, and Kamani Vidal all taking part in this offensive game plan.
18:31We don't buy that, but it's still something to keep in mind that there are going to be multiple guys getting touches here.
18:37What's the ceiling for Amarian Hampton? I think the ceiling for him is 20 PPR points per game as well.
18:43And you don't have to take him in round one.
18:45It's just the whole idea that he could lose touches to Keaton Mitchell and maybe a few to Kamani Vidal.
18:51But I think Vidal is the backup running back there who will get just a couple of token snaps a game as long as Amarian Hampton is healthy.
18:59And I've had the debate back and forth about Hampton versus Gentry.
19:02And I don't mind people that want to take Ashton Gentry ahead of Amarian Hampton.
19:06But remember this. Amarian Hampton last year had a higher points per game average, better efficiency, better consistency than Ashton Gentry.
19:12His offensive line, look, it improved for Gentry. It's better for Amarian Hampton.
19:15New play caller in L.A. is better than the new play caller in Las Vegas.
19:20And so maybe I'll concede that Gentry will catch more passes than Amarian Hampton.
19:23But Hampton should be able to blow him away in every other statistical category.
19:27I think he's the workhorse that Mike McDaniel leans on the most, just like McDaniel leaned on Devon H.N.
19:33in Miami. And you saw what those numbers were like over 20 PPR points per game.
19:37I think we might have, that might be a good debate about whether the new offensive coordinator in Los Angeles is better than the one in Las Vegas.
19:45The Kubiak's had a little bit of success himself as well.
19:48So I think Hampton could be a league winner.
19:50I have a hard time seeing how Justin Herbert and Ladd McConkie make the big leap and Hampton is the league winner.
19:56I think one of the things that gets overlooked a little bit about the Harbaugh-McDaniel combination is we're probably going to get
20:02a team with a pretty low play volume. Slow.
20:05Yes. That's true. And I think that helps the run game.
20:08They could go run heavy and it could be awesome for Amarian Hampton and he could be worth a first-round pick.
20:14And then it's probably going to be a bad time for Justin Herbert and Ladd McConkie in terms of fulfilling their current ADP.
20:20Or that could be more balanced. And then I think Hampton's probably being drafted just about right.
20:25I'm interested to see what the rotation is like.
20:27Does Vidal have any snaps? It's like a LeQuint Allen situation.
20:30Or does he have any snaps that actually matter?
20:33And then what does Keaton Mitchell do? Because I remember loving Keaton Mitchell during his rookie season and those big explosive plays.
20:39And I don't know if there's anybody in the NFL that's more addicted to those types of offensive plays than Mike McDaniel.
20:45I think it's fascinating when you look at average opposition because really starting at the back end of round one through the
20:51middle of round two, you have Ashton Gentry at 12.7.
20:54You have Chase Brown at 14.1. Saquon Barkley at 14.4.
20:56Derrick Henry at 15.4. Amarion Hampton at 17.5. And Ken Walker at 22.5.
21:00And I think there's just so many different ways you can approach that because the two older players of Barkley and Henry,
21:06Henry coming off another fantastic season, expected to get fed again.
21:09Barkley, new offense coordinator, expected to bounce back a little bit, probably not to 2024.
21:13We love Chase Brown. You know, we think he should be a first-round pick.
21:17But Hampton and Gentry and Walker, I think, sort of, are the ones that are the most polarizing.
21:22So it's going to be fun to see how fantasy managers draft them.
21:26And to Dave's point, you can get two of those guys if you pick at the back end of round two.
21:32All right, let's see what the Twitter X audience likes in terms of Chase Brown versus Omari and Hampton.
21:371,600 votes on this one. Chase Brown running away with those 77.1% of the votes compared to Hampton.
21:42All right, two guys for me that I'm excited about as league winners.
21:45Dave mentioned one, Ashton Gentry. The other would be Ken Walker.
21:48So kind of just wrapping up all these guys in the same range.
21:52I'll start with Gentry. Dave made the reference to better offensive line, better play caller.
21:56Yes, those things are definitely going to happen for him.
21:59So he gets Tyler Linderbaum, the center from Baltimore, Colton Miller, who missed a lot of time last year, coming back at 100%, at least that's the hope.
22:07And then Clint Kubiak, to Heath's point, did very well last year with the combination of Zach Charbonnet and Ken Walker, Walker
22:13and Charbonnet, everyone a parrot in Seattle, in helping that team win the Super Bowl.
22:17So I'm excited about Gentry because, yes, Mike Washington could have a role, but all we hear is this is going to be the guy.
22:24We don't have to worry about maybe even whatever small role Keaton Mitchell and Kamani Vidal have.
22:28I think Gentry's in line to still be very successful on passing down.
22:32He's had 55 receptions last year. This team is probably going to be trailing a lot.
22:36And I think the quarterback play, whether it's Kirk Cousins or Mendoza or just both, is better than what we got from Geno Smith last year.
22:44At least that's the hope based on what we saw.
22:46So it's funny, I think, if you look at Gentry's season last year and you just say, okay, he was the 16th best running back.
22:53That's a really good rookie season. We just inflated the expectations like we did with B.
22:58John Robinson, his rookie season. And then he came back in year two and was absolutely dynamic.
23:02So that's the hope for me with Gentry. I would take him in round one.
23:07I'm very excited about the situation for him. And I love the fact that he's cut out sugar.
23:11He's lost weight. I think we'll see a little bit more explosive Ashton Gentry.
23:15Ken Walker has been very polarizing for us for years because we see the talent.
23:19We see the explosiveness. We did not see a lot of work in the passing game.
23:24However, if you go back to 2024, he only played 11 games that year.
23:28He was on pace for 71 catches, which I think is very remarkable if he can do that.
23:33And Dave sort of mentioned this in the Patrick Mahomes discussion, that this is a weapon that they can use and I
23:39think will surprise a lot of people. I don't know if 50 catches there.
23:43I'm curious what you have in projected for. I don't know if 50 catches, but I think north of 40 is certainly on the table for him.
23:50And then if he gets anything close to plus 50, plus 60, we're talking about a guy that not only could be
23:56a league winner, but might be a top five running back if this offense operates like I expected to, which is going
24:02to be shifting more toward a little bit more run-heavy approach.
24:05So what's the projection? I've got him right around 40 catches right now.
24:09And I think that certainly the drumbeat from training camp has been, you need to increase that.
24:14It's just so difficult to know when we're just like hearing from people watching practice that they are practicing this thing.
24:19Now, do you want to adjust your season-long projection based on that?
24:23But it sounds like that there's more upside than that.
24:25And you guys are a little bit more cautiously optimistic on Walker, because I'm all in.
24:30Like he's basically, he might be a round one pick for me at this point.
24:34Wow. Like he's 13th, you know, so he may be.
24:37I just keep seeing it. I'm surprised the ADP reflects that.
24:40There's only four receivers going in round one. So I don't know why, like I'm hesitant to just push, CeeDee Lamb's the last one in there for me.
24:48Like just push him in. Usually when you get like this, you make the switch.
24:52Yeah. I could see Walker being top 12 for you by like an hour from now.
24:56I just think that Walker is just trending in the right direction.
24:59And if we didn't have any concern about injury, that's one.
25:02He could be awesome. And the other is that Patrick Mahomes is still the quarterback of this team.
25:07And while that might change just how much they throw, and especially what they do in the red zone, and when they
25:13get near the goal line, that used to be all Mahomes.
25:17Now it's probably going to be way tilted toward the run game and toward Kenneth Walker.
25:21But I still think push comes to shove. Patrick Mahomes is going to have his way with this offense, and he's still
25:27going to have opportunities to make big plays. It doesn't mean that Walker's going to do nothing.
25:32I'm with you. I think he's really in a great situation to survive.
25:35I think fantasy owners have just been snakebit so many times by the injuries with Walker, and they don't know who to
25:41get as the backup there in Kansas City. So if they take Walker with a round one or a round two pick, how do you safeguard against that?
25:49I think you just throw caution to the wind at this point and say, good running back, great offense.
25:54We've seen them run the ball before. Take them with at least a top 20 pick.
25:59Yep, and not even going to the top 20.
26:0122 right now is his average opposition. This poll actually surprised me.
26:05So Ashton Gentry versus Ken Walker. I thought this would be a runaway for Gentry.
26:09It's actually Walker winning the Twitter poll right now.
26:111,600 votes. He's getting 54.7% of the votes compared to Gentry at 45.3.
26:15Who tweeted that up? I did. That's what I'm saying.
26:18You're the Ken Walker guy. I have Gentry ranked ahead of Walker.
26:21So if you're following that logic, then it would still make sense to go with Gentry.
26:25All right, let's talk about three guys that could be league winners that are not going in the same range, at least as of now.
26:32One of them for you is Jonathan Brooks. The other one for you, Dave, is Rico Dowdle.
26:37And for me, it's Kenneth Gainwell. So Heath, let's start with Brooks, because again, we got the news right before the show
26:43that Chuba Hubbard is going to miss some time with a hamstring injury.
26:47You said round six through eight, right? I said seven.
26:49I think Dave said six or seven. So could it get higher than that?
26:53Oh, that's the thing. It may have gotten more difficult for Jonathan Brooks to be a league winner today because his cost
26:59is going to go up, and it's easier to be a league winner in round seven or round eight than it is
27:05to be a league winner in round four or round five.
27:08And if he breaks a big run in their first preseason game and Chuba Hubbard's not practicing in ten days, six or
27:14seven's not going to get it done. It's going to be a round five pick.
27:19I think that there were signals throughout the summer that Carolina had big expectations for Jonathan Brooks, and in fact, we're kind
27:25of hoping that he would become their starting running back.
27:27He has a better pedigree and more upside than Chuba Hubbard.
27:30They love him as a pass catcher. He's probably still going to be a 1A, though.
27:35And so I'm a little worried if we get up to the point to where it takes a round five or even
27:41round six pick to draft him that he gets a lot harder to make a profit at that.
27:46But as long as you can get him in round seven or round eight, I absolutely love it, and he can win you a league there.
27:53Dave, I want to ask you about Rico Dowdle because we know our audience watches our podcast, listens to our show, watches this show.
28:00You made a case on the bus show today on FFT that the Steelers running backs could be a bus, and now you're saying Rico Dowdle, league winner.
28:07So it just makes sense of where you're coming out.
28:10It depends on where you're drafting him. If you're drafting him in round six, it's just too rich for my blood.
28:16The earliest would be late round seven. That would I consider Rico Dowdle, and I view him as the 1A running back in Pittsburgh.
28:23This is a head coach in Mike McCarthy that literally brought Rico into the National Football League, stuck with him when he
28:29had an injury, and then gave him an opportunity to be 1,000-yard back in Dallas the last year both there, and we
28:35saw what he's capable of doing last year in Carolina.
28:37He had some monster games that helped fantasy managers in the middle of the year.
28:42Now he's going to Pittsburgh. That offensive line should be okay.
28:45We know that offense will want to be balanced.
28:47I think Rico Dowdle can do a lot of the same things that Jalen Warren can do, i.e., the pass game, and
28:53he's been better in goal line situations than Jalen Warren, basically, over the course of their careers.
28:58So I think that there's a real opportunity for Rico Dowdle to split with Warren, but also win at the goal line,
29:04and that's the type of running back that I'm looking for in the middle of drafts.
29:08I like Brooks better. I'd rather gamble on Brooks than Dowdle.
29:11Dowdle would probably be next in line for me as far as running backs to take a shot on in the middle
29:17of a draft who could turn out to be huge winners.
29:21Can he be a league winner, though, if Warren is healthy?
29:24Yeah, because I think he can score more touchdowns than Warren while catching about as many passes.
29:28All right. This one for me is mostly PPR-related, but Kenneth Gainwell's in a spot where he's going to share work with Bucky Irving.
29:35We, at least at this point, know Bucky Irving's healthy, and that's the best part.
29:39So you're still drafting Irving first. But we did hear earlier this offseason 1A and 1B in terms of how these guys
29:45are going to be used, and Gainwell got enough of a contract that I think he's going to have a role certainly
29:51on passing downs, and that's what we're hearing. Here's the thing I keep going back to when we talk about these guys,
29:57and again, Heath, I'll ask you what your projections are for Gainwell because on Sportsline, he's projected for 60 catches, had 73 catches last year.
30:04Since 2021, there's been 44 running backs with at least 50 catches.
30:0738 of them averaged at least 13 PPR points per game.
30:10There were 80 running backs with at least 40 catches in that span.
30:1468 of them averaged at least 11 PPR points per game.
30:17So if you're involved in the passing game, that gives you such an advantage and gives you an opportunity to be successful
30:23and potentially a league winner for this format. And again, I think Gainwell's role in the passing game, different coordinator, same head
30:29coach, but what we saw from Rashad White, three of the last four seasons, 50-plus catches.
30:34So I think if we could talk about Baker relying on a pass-catching running back and Zach Robinson, for what it's worth last year, gave B.
30:41John Robinson over 100 targets, clearly not the same player.
30:44But obviously, Kenneth Gainwell's going to catch whatever number.
30:46What's the projector for you? I've got him at 45.
30:49Okay, so 45. So that would give him the chance to be north of 11 PPR points if he hits that number
30:55just based on what he's capable of doing. And then we saw last year, well, going back to Pittsburgh, when Jalen Warren
31:01was out, Gainwell, in the couple of games that he got a chance to start, he was an absolute monster.
31:07So he's an easy guy for me to take in the mid-rounds.
31:10You're taking him right around round nine, which I think is definitely worth the upside.
31:14Another guy that sort of falls in this category for me, just as I wanted to give one, is Rashad White, because
31:20I think he's going to be that guy for the commanders as well.
31:24But three guys here that we have that we all like that could certainly supersede their ADP and be potential league winners.
31:30Jonathan Brooks now getting the big boost because of Chuba Hubbard's injury.
31:33Let's show you the Twitter poll here of which running back everybody likes most.
31:37No surprise, it's going to be Jonathan Brooks. And again, I sent this out last night before the news, so take that into account.
31:44But as you see here, Jonathan Brooks, 58.7% of the vote.
31:47Rico Dowell, 23.3%. And Kenneth Gainwell, 18.1%. All right, we're going to take a break right now.
31:51We come back and get into the wide receiver league winners that we like.
31:55We'll tell you about some guys that are going early, some guys you can take with some mid-round picks as well.
32:01That's next here on FFT. I'll be honest with you, I've never really enjoyed shopping for clothes.

33:01That's stitchfix.com slash football. This summer, my wife and I took my parents, our son, and our granddaughter on a trip to Montana.
33:07Coming from South Florida, it was such a change of pace.
33:10We spent our days exploring Glacier National Park, taking in the incredible mountain views, spotting wildlife, and doing some easy hikes to waterfalls and scenic overlooks.
33:17It was amazing being surrounded by mountains and cooler weather, something we just don't get at home.
33:22We also checked out some local restaurants, tried a few Montana favorites like huckleberry desserts, and really enjoyed slowing down and spending quality time together.
33:29But while we were off exploring somewhere new, our home was just sitting empty.
33:33That's when I realized while we're away, we could list our space on Airbnb.
33:37It feels like a smart and practical way to bring in some extra cash, especially when there is a high demand in
33:43our area for things like concerts, games, or festivals.
33:45It turns an empty house into an easy opportunity while you enjoy your own time off.
33:50It can even help offset some of the cost of your next trip.
33:53Your home might be worth more than you think.
33:56Find out how much at airbnb.com slash host. Welcome back to Fantasy Football today.
34:00We're talking about league-winning wide receivers, and we each have a trio of guys we think could be league winners for 2026.
34:06For Heath, you have George Pickens, Zay Flowers, and Luther Burden.
34:09Dave, you got Malik Neighbors, Jalen Waddell, and Parker Washington.
34:11For me, it's Devante Smith, Emeka Abuka, and DJ Moore.
34:14So Heath, we'll start with your guys, and I have some questions for you in regards to each of these wide receivers.
34:20So let's start with Pickens. Can he be a league winner if C.D.
34:24Lamb is healthy? I absolutely think he can. He averaged 15.4 PPR fantasy points per game in his last 11 games with C.D.
34:30Lamb last year, and that was while scoring three touchdowns in those 11 games.
34:34We all know George Pickens has the ability to score double-digit touchdowns in a season.
34:38If he just has that type of usage and scores the touchdowns at his round two plus three cost, he could be a league winner.
34:45This is one of your favorite players, and that's Zay Flowers.
34:48So the question for you is, the ceiling for Zay Flowers is blank.
34:52First-round value. He was top five in route participation, top five in target share, top five in yards per route run.
34:58He just needs the Ravens to throw the ball more than they did last year, and last year they were 15% below Lamar Jackson's career norm.
35:05He also needs to score touchdowns. Those two things happen.
35:07He's a top five wide receiver. And then with Luther Burden, we've got this groin injury now that we're dealing with.
35:13You brought up something good on our breakout show yesterday that it's kind of saving you from yourself because a lot of
35:19people are getting excited about Luther Burden. You said you would have been taking him in round three if we had continued on this hype train.
35:27Now when would you take Luther Burden, and how concerned are you that this injury may linger?
35:31I think you have to look at him at the end of round four or the beginning of round five.
35:37He's going to have a round five ADP. It was around 48 before the injury, probably going to be closer to 58 now.
35:43And so the great thing about that is, before drafting him in round three, you had a much smaller margin error in
35:49terms of finding some upside beyond his cost. Now, if you can draft him in round five, the upside's still the same.
35:55The groin injury doesn't change that. There's a lot more room for him to make a profit in round five.
36:01Dave, when you look at Burden, and we know there's Colston Loveland, and we know more importantly from the receiver conversation, there's
36:07Romo Odunze, who was awesome to start the year last year and then had the foot injury.
36:12Which receiver, based on cost, are you more excited about?
36:14I'm more excited about Burden than I am Odunze.
36:17And I think it's just because the team seems to be more excited about Luther Burden.
36:21The fact that he could be in this position where he's going to be versatile.
36:25And that's something that I'm looking for from my receivers in fantasy this year.
36:29How many of these wide receivers can line up anywhere across the formation and work at all three levels of the field?
36:35And I think Luther Burden can do that. And at bare minimum, he can work in that short area and be an easy target for Caleb Williams.
36:43And Caleb needs some easy targets after his completion rate has not been great to start his career.
36:48It's going to be fun to see how Burden does and certainly going to be fun to see how Zay Flowers does.
36:54Check out our Fantasy Football Today podcast for a fun bet between Heath Cummings and Adam Azer regarding maybe some facial hair there.
37:00All right, Dave, the three guys for you, Malik Nabors, Dalen Waddle, Parker Washington.
37:04Some questions for you in regards to these three.
37:06All right, shoot. Neighbors coming back from the ACL tear.
37:09We know so far everything has been positive. The earliest you would draft Malik Nabors is?
37:14Late round two. I'm ready. I think he's close enough to being close enough.
37:18And that means that he's going to be out there week one for the Giants, going to be the easy target leader for that team.
37:24I think Jackson Dart isn't a total disaster as a thrower.
37:27I don't think Matt Nagy is a total disaster as a play caller.
37:31Remember, in Chicago, he had Mitchell Trubisky. I think Jackson Dart is at least one step better than Mitchell Trubisky, even at this point in his young career.
37:39And everybody's going to know to throw Malik Nabors the football.
37:42I think he's worth a pick in late round two.
37:45And I think he'll finish as a top 12 wide receiver.
37:48Jalen Waddle joins the Broncos after a couple disappointing seasons in Miami.
37:51Why is he a league winner? He's going to get volume through an opportunity that he hasn't had in like four years.
37:57You've got to turn back the clock to 2022, the last time Jalen Waddle was getting the ball a lot in an offense and making plays with it.
38:05And when he did, when things were right in Miami in 2022, before Tyreek Hill, Tua was there.
38:10It was over 16 PPR points per game as long as Tua was on the field with Jalen Waddle.
38:15Now it's Bo Nix. That's a step up. And Sean Payton does have a track record of hyper-targeting his number one receiver.
38:21This is another wide out that's got versatility. He can line up anywhere and he can win at all three levels.
38:27I know he's banged up right now. The dude has played at least 14 games every year of his six-year career.
38:33Does it bother you that we're getting Pat Bryant buzz on top of Cortland Sutton still being there?
38:38I think it hurts Sutton more than it hurts Waddle.
38:40I think Pat Bryant could end up being real close in targets to Sutton.
38:44And I think Jalen Waddle just runs away getting north of seven and a half targets per game.
38:49Okay, if you've been paying attention to anything that's happened so far this offseason, Parker Washington is the most buzzworthy name in fantasy football right now.
38:56For good reason. For good reason. And so you have him as a league winner.
39:00So Dave, here we go. We got all these wide receivers in Jacksonville with Brian Thomas Jr.
39:05and Travis Hunter and Jacoby Myers, whatever word you want to put those guys in, including Washington.
39:10Right now he's going 85th overall. Steal. I don't think that's going to be where Parker Washington goes.
39:15I think we're going to see him creep into round six.
39:18Is he going to be overpriced? Jamie, I would take him in late round five in full PPR.
39:23I think he's absolutely going to be worth it.
39:25This is another one of those versatile wide receivers.
39:28Maybe, you know, think of him as a winner deep down the field.
39:31And I don't think the Jaguars need to ask him to do that given who else they have at wide out.
39:37But I think push comes to shove with the questions about the run game in Jacksonville.
39:42We can see Parker Washington continue to get a ton of targets.
39:45He had the same pace from week seven on last year as CeeDee Lamb had for the entire season.
39:5014.4 PPR points per game. That number should at least stay steady.
39:53Drafting him in round five, six, seven, I think that that's excellent value.
39:57Would you do that? Seven, yes. Late round six, maybe.
40:00Yeah, this is the type of guy that I generally feel really uncomfortable with when it's just like we had kind of
40:06two and a half years of we kind of knew who Parker Washington was and then we had a six-game stretch or
40:12a four-game stretch that's just out of this world and then we have to draft him as if that's going to happen again.
40:18And so I'll hedge a little bit. If I'm in a draft with a bunch of people that are not on social
40:24media and they don't realize that everybody's gone insane about Parker Washington, I will definitely draft him in late round six, early round seven.
40:31But I can't get him anywhere else. By the way, the four-game stretch that Heath is talking about, that was his last four games to end the year.
40:3919 PPR points per game. It was awesome. We're not drafting him based on that expectation.
40:43It's more five points per game lower than that.
40:4614 PPR points per game. Yeah, I think I'm okay with that as a top 60 pick.
40:50Do you get internet in the cave that you'll be drafting in?
40:54You know, hopefully not. All right, we'll see. All right, the three guys for me, Devontae Smith, Emeka Abuka, DJ Moore, two
41:00of those guys dealing with injuries right now. Smith dealing with a hamstring injury has yet to practice in training camp.
41:06Not ideal. Abuka left with what's reported as a toe injury yesterday.
41:09Hopefully he'll be okay. DJ Moore has been fine so far.
41:12So the questions I have for myself are, is Emeka Abuka being drafted too far ahead of Chris Godwin?
41:17And I think that answer is yes, because I do think Chris Godwin's going to be much better than he was the
41:23last couple of years, or at least the last year.
41:26But Abuka has a chance to be absolutely awesome.
41:28Let's hope that toe injury's fine. They're saying it's minor.
41:31Yeah, but it's still turf toe. You heard that being thrown out there.
41:35Oh, that would be bad. So that's something just to keep an eye on there.
41:39But I think round three is the right spot for Emeka Abuka.
41:42When you look at Devontae Smith, I also would take him in round three, but I want to see him on the field.
41:49Again, very small sample size, but three games without A.J.
41:51Brown. In those three games, averaged 16 PPR points per game.
41:54The targets were off the charts. And so hopefully he's back on the field and helping Jalen Hurts and helping maybe their
42:00social media account with Jalen Hurts throwing the ball a little bit better to a guy like Devontae Smith.
42:06For DJ Moore, can he do what Stephon Diggs did in Buffalo, which was absolutely awesome when he first joined the Bills?
42:12By all accounts, DJ Moore has been fantastic. I would throw out everything you saw from the last year when you only got 85 targets.
42:19In the two years he played with Joe Brady when Brady was the offense coordinator in Carolina and DJ Moore early part
42:25of his career, at least 13.9 PPR points per game in those two seasons.
42:29So that would certainly put him at a higher level than where he's being drafted.
42:33As you see, the 29th wide receiver off the board, I would actually take DJ Moore in round four.
42:38Very excited about him for this season. All right, the Twitter poll that we have is which trio of wide receivers do you like better?
42:45So Keith's trio, Dave's trio, my trio. Very close poll here.
42:48So we have all three of these guys, Pickens Flowers Burden for Heath, Neighbors Waddle Washington for Dave, and Smith Abuka Moore for me.
42:55Slight, slight edge, 36.8% in my favor. Then Heath's guys next, 36.5.
42:58And Dave coming in at third. But again, very close poll for all three of these guys, 26.7.
43:03All right, we're gonna take a break right now.
43:05We come back and we'll talk about some league winning tight ends for you.
43:09Sam Laporta, Colston Loveland, Tucker Craft. Can they help you win your fantasy leagues in 2026?
43:14That's next on FFT. Welcome back to Fantasy Football.
43:16Today we have league winning tight ends for you.
43:19Three guys that are hopefully going to help you dominate your fantasy leagues in 2026.
43:23For Heath, it's Sam Laporta. For Dave, it's Colston Loveland.
43:25For me, it's Tucker Craft. Heath, make your case why Sam Laporta is a league winner.
43:30I don't think it should be too hard to make the case because he's already had a tight end one season.
43:36He has been outstanding already in his young career, and now he gets Drew Petzing, the guy who orchestrated the Trey McBride
43:42breakout, came from the Kevin Stefanski system. Both of those play callers have sent about 27% of their targets to tight ends over the last three seasons.
43:49Could be a career high in targets for Sam Laporta, and he has, as he's shown, that high, high touchdown ability because
43:55he plays in one of the best offenses in football.
43:58Don't be surprised if he has 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdowns and finishes his tight end one again.
44:03You're drafting him when? I generally draft him in round six.
44:06Round six, okay, which is a little bit ahead of his ADP.
44:09I think the fun thing about this Lions offense, we talk about it all the time, whenever they're indoors, they're awesome.
44:15Only five outdoor games before week 18. So their first 17 weeks of the season, which is what matters for fantasy, he's only going to be outdoors.
44:23I think it's 10 of their last 11 are indoors.
44:25Yeah, it's just a great stretch, and hopefully Jared Goff, some offensive line concerns right now, and enough targets.
44:31That's actually good for Laporta. Potentially. You don't want to see Sam Donald, Sam Donald, Jared Goff on his back.
44:36No, you don't want to see Donald on his back.
44:39Don't want to see Donald on his back either.
44:41All right, let's talk about Colston Loveland, because he's everybody's breakout tight end this year.
44:46Yeah. Great to end last year. How good could he be?
44:49Well, we saw last year, last six games, 7.3 targets per game.
44:52That's rare to see from a rookie. Did Laporta as a rookie ever get north of seven targets per game?
44:57He had 120 in his rookie season. That's really, really good.
45:00And who was his play caller then, that rookie year?
45:03I think that was Ben Johnson. It was Ben Johnson.
45:06And so I wonder if Ben Johnson looks at Loveland the same way he looked at Laporta once upon a time.
45:12And I would argue that at this point in their careers, Loveland is a little bit more exciting and definitely has more upside.
45:18You look at the games where he's had five plus targets.
45:21He's averaging 15.7 PPR points per game. Six plus targets.
45:24It goes up to 21.2. Massive upside for a tight end that I don't hesitate to take when he's, when I see
45:30him in round four or late round three in full PPR.
45:33It's just going to be, hopefully, this is the type of guy you mentioned, you know, Parker Washington buying into the late round or late season finish.
45:40Can it carry over this year? Like this guy, everybody's all in on.
45:44Everybody wants to get a piece of Colson Loveland.
45:47Any analyst draft I've done, you see him sometimes going round two.
45:50Like that's how people are excited about it. I think you have him ranked as your second tight end, right?
45:55He is my tight end two ahead of Trey McBride, and I would take him in round three.
46:00So it's just one of those situations where can he do what he did last year when there was no Romo Dunze for the majority of that.
46:08He had the foot injury. Now maybe Luther Byrne in and out.
46:11We'll see how that goes. Yeah, that helps a lot.
46:14I'm not going to fight anybody on Colson Loveland.
46:16There's just no argument that makes sense against Colson Loveland, except maybe the position being as deep as it is.
46:22And are you reaching for somebody that may not ascend to those heights?
46:25Sorry. No, I do think that like the important thing, because I said Byrne, Dave said Loveland, neither of us hates Odunze.
46:32They lost 150 targets from last year in DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus.
46:35Just concentrate those amongst the three guys. Yes, they're going to do that.
46:39They can all three be awesome. Yes, they can all three be awesome.
46:42That would be fun. And speaking of concentrated targets, we finally have that for the Packers, because they lose 135 targets from
46:48both Romeo Dobbs and Dontavian Wicks leaving last season.
46:51Tucker Kraft coming back from the ACL tear. Hopefully he's going to be 100%.
46:55But he was awesome last year before getting hurt.
46:57He scored seven touchdowns in his first six games.
47:00Hopefully he's going to be at that level of production after the knee injury.
47:04But a guy that you can get, it's going to be fun to debate, you know, that Laporta, Kraft, Pitts, Fannin group,
47:10you know, after you get past Loveland and Warren.
47:12I just think that if Kraft is healthy, he's going to have an absolute monster season.
47:16Average. One of the best yak tight ends that we've seen in NFL history.
47:20Hyper efficient. Could be absolutely fantastic. All right. The Twitter poll we have here is, which of these tight ends would you rather have?
47:27And looking at it here, it's based on cost.
47:29So Loveland in round four, Laporta in round six, Kraft in round seven.
47:33But just over a little, a little under 1100 votes here.
47:3649% going for Tucker Kraft. All right. We'll take a break.
47:39When we come back, it's all of your questions.
47:42Thank you for sending them to an X using the hashtag ask FFT.
47:45We're answering your league winning questions next year on fantasy football.

48:36It's where America shops for furniture. Wrapping up our show here on League Winners with some league winning questions.
48:41We got this one from RJ. Which sleeper player will be the one that you, will be the one that will put you in the championship game?
48:49Your sleeper is? Well, I don't want to say Jonathan Brooks anymore.
48:52Not anymore. DeCorey Kroski-Mirrit. Dave? That's an interesting one.
48:54I'm still drafting KC Concepcion in every league I can.
48:57I like that. I'm going to go with Marshawn Lloyd just with Josh Jacobs being a little bit banged up.
49:03Next question. Well, it's a big one. All right.
49:05Pick two sleepers, 10-team PPR. Pick two keepers, excuse me.
49:08Jamar Chase, Trey McBride, Nemeca, Buka, Bessitut, and Dave?
49:10I would keep Abuka and Jamar. Abuka and Jamar?
49:13Agreed. Agreed. All right. We'll go three for three.
49:15Next. Pick two keepers, PPR, three-year keepers. So I guess you keep them for three years.
49:20A-chan, seventh round keeper. K-3? What does that mean?
49:22You can keep him for three years. Oh, I got it.
49:25All right. Lucky for the 11th round and Colston Loveland for the 10th round.
49:29Yeah, I would keep, if I'm reading this the right way, A-chan and Loveland.
49:33Yeah, I think so. I would as well. All right.
49:36Next one. He's going to have Nakua and Gibbs too.
49:39Congrats on your win, Bob. And the first overall pick.
49:41Oh, he's getting Gibbs. Excuse me. 10-team auction draft, two wide receivers, and one flex.
49:46What tier of quarterback and tight end are you generally targeting in that format?
49:49Heath. 10-team. So I will not hesitate to still go after the top tight ends, but I am not spending anything on quarterbacks.
49:56I'll spend almost nothing on a quarterbacks. Like two bucks, right?
49:59For two quarterbacks. That would be the max. I agree.
50:02All right. Last question? Oh, that's it. All right.
