Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection16:44

Baker Mayfield is grouped with Kyler Murray and Malik Willis in a tier where he could be awesome or absolutely terrible, with an insanely wide range of outcomes throughout his career.

Insight page
NegativeProjection17:00

Baker Mayfield had injuries last year and lost key weapons (Buka and Mike Evans), which impacted his performance.

Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveProjection17:33

Bo Nix has a much safer floor compared to other tier options.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection0:06

Brock Purdy was QB1 through week 17 in one season, and has finished as a top six quarterback per game in two of the last three seasons while going 98th overall in ADP, two rounds later than Caleb Williams.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:08

Brock Purdy offers excellent value at 98th overall ADP compared to Caleb Williams at 72nd, as Purdy has already performed like the level expected from Williams in two of the last three seasons.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:42

Brock Purdy was great through week 17 from a PPG standpoint but didn't play many games in the first 11 weeks, and there's no expectation for significant upside beyond his track record.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeProjection16:49

Bryce Young is the best case scenario for Cam Ward's career trajectory, implying most quarterbacks with worse rookie seasons than Ward did not become good.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeProjection16:47

CJ Stroud's career arc is frustrating, as he fell off significantly after his rookie season despite continued weapon additions, and it's unclear if it's a system issue or something else.

Insight page
PositiveRole16:47

CJ Stroud could benefit from Tank Dell returning healthy and Jaden Higgins stepping forward alongside Nico Collins.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection0:08

Caleb Williams is currently QB6 in ADP going 72nd overall, but the hosts note that Brock Purdy has already demonstrated top-six performance in recent seasons at a later ADP.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:26

Caleb Williams is ranked below Jayden Daniels as both a rusher and passer based on what has been shown so far, though expectations are that he will take the next step this season.

Insight page
NegativeRole0:27

Caleb Williams' best and maybe only legitimate weapon is 30 years old now, which is a concern for his fantasy outlook compared to Jayden Daniels.

Insight page
PositiveProjection17:11

Caleb Williams was probably in the neighborhood with Cam Ward on completion rate as a rookie, and was worse in off-target rate.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection16:58

Cam Ward ranked 55th in EPA per drop back, 52nd in success rate, and 59th in yards per attempt among 70 rookie quarterbacks since 2000, indicating a very poor rookie season.

Insight page
NegativeProjection17:05

Cam Ward had a really bad rookie year, with drops being a big part of the issue, though the offense should improve.

Insight page
PositiveProjection17:10

Cam Ward has a hell of an arm and can make phenomenal plays, and as the number one pick, he could buck the trend of poor rookie performances.

Insight page
NegativeProjection17:18

Cam Ward threw almost four interceptions in the fourth quarter against the Saints, showing concerning decision-making.

Insight page
NegativeProjection17:32

Cam Ward had a really bad rookie year with EPA, success rate, and yards per attempt all ranking 52nd or worse out of 70 rookies since 2000, with only Josh Allen being a good quarterback who ranked worse.

Insight page
PositiveProjection17:35

Cam Ward stands out in this tier and could take a leap with Carnell Tate, Wondell Robinson, and Brian Dable's offense, showing improvement in the last four games of the season.

Insight page

Carson Wentz

PositiveProjection16:42

Carson Wentz ranked worse than Cam Ward in touchdown rate as a rookie.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveProjection0:36

Dak Prescott is expected to stay at the same fantastic level he's been at, projected around 23-24 PPG, with solid receiving weapons in CD Lamb and George Pickens.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

PositiveInjury0:17

Daniel Jones is medically cleared to do everything and will be full go going into camp, though he is currently quarterback 25 in average draft position.

Insight page
PositiveProjection17:19

Daniel Jones was great last year when healthy and is reported to be all systems go, offering potential upside.

Insight page

Darnell Mooney

PositiveProjection0:18

Darnell Mooney is mentioned as a top-tier wide receiver one option that would be taken ahead of Stefon Diggs.

Insight page

Derek Carr

PositiveProjection17:39

Derek Carr ranked worse than Cam Ward in yards per attempt as a rookie.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection0:24

Drake May is placed in tier two and is expected to improve with the addition of A.J. Brown, building on what was already a special season last year.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveValue0:07

Jalen Hurts is in tier two for Heath and often falls to round eight, making him a valuable option especially in four-point per-passing touchdown leagues where his value relative to other quarterbacks increases.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:31

Jalen Hurts has a track record of elite fantasy production and losing A.J. Brown is offset by a solid depth group at receiver, keeping him in the conversation to be a top five fantasy QB due to his rushing ability and the tush push.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveProjection0:07

Jared Goff is in tier three and at current ADP in round 12, is a quarterback who pretty much always finishes in the top ten, making him a strong value pick.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:10

Jared Goff could approach 25-30 points per game and has the upside to hit that ceiling consistently.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:42

Jared Goff has a solid track record but the question is whether he can exceed the 21-22 PPG threshold, which is why he's ranked below tier three QBs like Lawrence, Dart, and Williams.

Insight page
PositiveProjection17:33

Jared Goff has a much safer floor compared to other tier options.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveProjection0:25

Jayden Daniels is placed at the top of tier three and showed elite performance in his first four games with 100% snap share, posting top-seven QB per-game numbers with zero rushing touchdowns, suggesting strong upside if he can stay healthy.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:27

Jayden Daniels' best weapon is himself; he could easily rush for 1,000 yards as a rookie and his rushing ability is what keeps him in the conversation as a top fantasy QB.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:28

Jayden Daniels could move up in rankings if the Commanders sign Stefan Diggs or another significant receiver, but without better weapons, he remains a very good running QB who could throw as well as anybody.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

PositiveProjection0:24

Joe Burrow is placed in tier two and has been amazing when healthy; when Burrow, Chase, and Higgins are all healthy, he has averaged 23.3-29.1 PPG over five seasons, with three of the last five seasons producing QB1 or QB2 per-game numbers.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveUsage0:17

The Colts want to reduce Jonathan Taylor's workload to keep him fresh, though he would still be first or top three most likely to lead the NFL in carries.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveProjection0:18

Jordan Addison is considered a pretty good player and one that the hosts would take ahead of Stefon Diggs as a wide receiver two option.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveProjection0:03

Josh Allen has been no worse than third in points per game for six straight seasons if you remove week 18, just weeks one through 17, which may be the best six-season stretch in fantasy history.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:04

Josh Allen has been healthy and hasn't missed a game, contributing to his consistent elite performance over six seasons.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:22

Josh Allen is placed in his own tier one by both analysts, indicating elite confidence in his QB1 status, though one analyst notes Lamar Jackson may have more upside at the position.

Insight page
PositiveProjection17:36

Josh Allen was the only good quarterback who ranked worse than Cam Ward in EPA per drop back and success rate as a rookie, showing he can overcome a poor rookie season.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection0:32

Justin Herbert has a chance to get back to 25+ PPG with the addition of Mike McDaniel as coach, healthy tackles, and a rebuilt offensive line, representing a significant upgrade from his recent performance.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:33

Justin Herbert rushed for over 400 yards last year and in his first four games with healthy tackles looked like first and second year Herbert, suggesting he could maintain significant rushing production.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:35

Justin Herbert's biggest question mark is pass volume in Los Angeles; his best season had 672 attempts, but the last two seasons he's had 504 and 512 attempts, making it hard to be a difference maker at QB without high pass volume.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveProjection16:43

Kyler Murray can reach the 22-23 point per game range, offering ceiling upside despite having a safer floor than some peers.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection0:09

Lamar Jackson is in tier two and could approach 28 to 30 points per game, making him a valuable option in the round three through five range.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:23

Lamar Jackson is viewed as having the most upside at the QB position and is placed in tier two with the potential to be better than Josh Allen when healthy, with hopes that a new offense under Declan Doyle allows him to perform even better.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveProjection16:44

Malik Willis is grouped with Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield in a tier where he could be awesome or absolutely terrible.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

PositiveProjection0:05

Matthew Stafford was third in points per game the year before when looking at weeks one through 17.

Insight page

Nick Foles

PositiveProjection16:42

Nick Foles ranked worse than Cam Ward in touchdown rate as a rookie.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveRole16:47

Nico Collins could benefit from Jaden Higgins stepping forward to help CJ Stroud's performance.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

NegativeRole17:28

Sam Darnold really has only one weapon at this point that feels comfortable to rely on.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveProjection0:18

Stefon Diggs says he is the best wide receiver two in the NFL, though he is currently a free agent looking for a team fit.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:18

Stefon Diggs could still be a very good wide receiver two despite questions about whether he expects 10 targets per game.

Insight page

Tank Dell

PositiveRole16:47

Tank Dell being back healthy could help CJ Stroud's performance.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveRole16:47

Jaden Higgins taking a step forward could help CJ Stroud's performance alongside Nico Collins.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

PositiveInjury0:18

Travis Hunter will be full go for training camp.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveBreakout0:10

Trevor Lawrence is expected to be a breakout guy with the potential to approach 25-30 points per game on a consistent basis.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:41

Trevor Lawrence is placed in tier four with upside to take a step forward, ranked ahead of Brock Purdy and Jared Goff.

Insight page
PositiveProjection16:42

Trevor Lawrence ranked worse than Cam Ward in touchdown rate as a rookie.

0:00This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. What a play!
0:03Can you believe this? He's had no idea. It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
0:08Off to the races! And he stays at his feet!
0:11He's just gonna go the distance! Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
0:17Welcome to Monday's show. It is July 13th and it is Tiers Week!
0:21Yes! Quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end Tiers and then hopefully a mailbag for you on Friday.
0:27Adam Azer, Jamie Eisenberg and Heath Cummings. We've all been kind of away for a little while.
0:32I want to thank Dave for doing a great job on the Thursday podcast, the live mock draft.
0:38That was great stuff. Heath, welcome back! Hey, it's great to be here.
0:42I was a little disappointed because I thought when you said it was Tiers Week, Jamie and I were just gonna take turns trying to make you cry.
0:51But no, tears are very, very important. Well, how about we all try to make Dan cry on Friday?
0:57By the way, so sometime between now and the end of the month is Dave's 50th birthday.
1:02Everybody just from now until the end of the month start wishing Dave a happy birthday on Twitter, X, whatever it is.
1:09Just send him happy birthday. He won't make it to 50 if you do that.
1:14No, just keep sending it every day. He's gonna be so mad.
1:18Don't do that. Anyway, Dave and Heath and Jamie have their...
1:21It might help you get in the leftover leagues.
1:24So do it. No! You're just evil, man. The happy birthday Dave League.
1:28Okay, so anyway, we'll go through the tiers. We have a few news items for you.
1:33And let's talk generally about tiers. Heath, why should we use tiers?
1:37What can fantasy managers get out of this? Fanagy managers.
1:40Fanagy managers. We need Dan on to get after you for mispronouncing that.
1:45No, I think a lot of times when we rank players, the difference between two and six may not be very big.
1:52And then the difference between six and seven is enormous.
1:55And so tiers help you to see what players within the rankings are kind of grouped together.
2:00And then the best way you can use them is look at the players that you have in the same tier, see what their ADP is.
2:08We're going to talk about that a lot when we get to my tier three quarterbacks.
2:13Because there's a wide range in terms of where these guys are being drafted.
2:18And so you can find somebody with a similar floor, similar upside, similar projection.
2:22But three rounds later, that's how you win fantasy leagues.
2:26Jamie, do you prefer tiers to rankings? I don't know if I have a preference.
2:30I mean, it's obviously somewhat of the same thing.
2:33You know, I think Heath said it appropriately, defined it appropriately.
2:37It's, you know, I'm never going to be like, oh, if I didn't get a player in that tier, I'm screwed.
2:43Or I can't still find, you know, a player that I like in the next tier that is close.
2:49So, like, when Heath said the difference between, you know, six and seven, for example, or seven and eight, you know, in
2:56your rankings, could definitely be a tier drop off.
2:59But clearly they're close enough where you should still feel comfortable drafting that player.
3:04So, if I'm really looking at, like, a draft metric, it wouldn't be tiers or rankings.
3:09It would probably be ADP. Okay. Speaking specifically, by the way, comment from the chat here from Wisco Disco.
3:15Just sent Dave a happy birthday on Twitter. How quickly do I get blocked?
3:19Do you think he's going to know if he starts getting spammed with happy birthdays, like, every day between now and the other one?
3:27He's going to figure it out immediately. You think he'll actually go back and watch to see if I said it or one of us said it?
3:35Or, like, he'll have to. He'll know who it was, Jamie.
3:39He'll know. Does Josh Allen belong in his own tier, Heath?
3:42Yep. Jamie? Yeah. Why? I think his track record, his still ability to perform at a high level, and then also factoring
3:49in when he's going to get drafted, where he's going to get drafted, I think it's pretty clear he's the number one quarterback.
3:57So consistent. I would love to see just stats from weeks one through 17, because the last two years he's been, you
4:04know, one play in week 18, kind of dragged us per game down a little bit.
4:09But it's six years in a row of him being one of the best quarterbacks in fantasy.
4:14It's incredible. You know, if you just go to, like, his game log and just go, like, weeks one through 17 and
4:21take out week 18, you could – I believe it's called Azerstattingham?
4:25No, so I can do that, obviously. I don't need any help to do that.
4:30But I think he's been no worse than third in points per game for six straight seasons if you remove week 18, just weeks one through 17.
4:38I would love to know if any quarterback has ever done that before.
4:43And maybe AI can help me with that. But I feel like it might be the best six-game – six seasons.
4:49If for no other reason he's been healthy, hasn't missed a game.
4:53Maybe the best – I don't think there's any chance you could guess who was number one.
4:58The year before – Try to guess, Adam. Who's number one?
5:02It was QB1 through week 17. Wasn't Stafford? No.
5:05He was third the year before through week 17.
5:08Yeah. He's definitely been – Well, I think he's been top three every year.
5:12But, yeah, let me know. But I think there's a chance that Josh Allen has had the most consistent six-year stretch in fantasy history.
5:20Just throw it out there. It's possible. I don't know.
5:23All right. Which tier represents the beginning of the backup quarterbacks in fantasy?
5:27Four. Tier four for Heath is Shuck, Stafford, Bo Nix, Jordan Love, and Patrick Mahomes.
5:32Those are great options, but not top 12 quarterbacks.
5:35Tier four for Jamie would be a little – I think for Jamie, it's tier five or six.
5:40Yeah, because tier four for Jamie is Lawrence, Dart, and Caleb.
5:44So Jamie's got more tiers than Heath. Tier six for you, that's Malik Willis, Tyler Shuck, Baker Mayfield, Jordan Love.
5:50Yep. I would be fine starting anybody in tier five still.
5:54Tier five for Jamie is Stafford, Purdy, Mahomes. That's similar to tier six for – or tier four for Heath, although not Purdy.
6:01Purdy's in tier three. Also, you just said the name of the guy that I'm going to be higher on that I actually have in tier three.
6:10But Brock Purdy. He was number one? He was QB one through week seven.
6:14He only played eight games, but he was QB one through week 17.
6:18Oh, wow. All right. The rest of tier – what was it?
6:22Five for Jamie was Stafford, Purdy, Mahomes, Kyler, Murray, Bo Nix, Jared Goff.
6:26He'd be fine with that. Oh, Johnny, you can't out me like that.
6:30Come on. Oh, yeah, Johnny. Jamie, don't worry about it.
6:33It's pretty transparent. Which tier do you draft from the most?
6:37Three. For me, it would be tier four. All right.
6:40Tier three for Heath. Sorry, tier three. Excuse me.
6:43Tier three for both of you. For Heath, that's Purdy, Goff, Dart, Lawrence, Herbert, Caleb Williams.
6:48And for Jamie, that's Jaden Daniels, Jalen Hurts, Herbert, and Prescott.
6:52So that, to me, says, Jamie, you go earlier on quarterback than Heath.
6:56No. It's where I typically look for – the three quarterbacks that I'll probably draft the most of this year will be Herbert, Prescott, and Trevor Lawrence.
7:04Herbert, Prescott, Lawrence. Okay. And Heath, yeah, I guess kind of similarly, do you find yourself drafting a particular quarterback or quarterbacks?
7:11I just wrote my – and it'll be published to the site today, but I just wrote my sleepers article.
7:18And at current ADP, I just don't think I'll take a quarterback in the first nine rounds because Brock Purdy's in round
7:2511 and Jared Goff's in round 12. And they're both tier three quarterbacks for me that pretty much always finish in the top ten.
7:32Do you feel that way in four-point per-passing touchdown leagues?
7:35Because we center most of our content on six-point.
7:38In four-point, I'll probably draft Jalen Hurts because he is the guy from – and again, he's in tier two for me.
7:45My tiers – it's going to be weird talking about my tiers versus Jamie's because I think I've got more players in tier two.
7:53But Hurts a lot of times falls to round eight.
7:56And his value relative to the other quarterbacks goes up in four-point per-passed touchdown leagues.
8:01And so Hurts would be the guy I would draft more often in that format.
8:06I think we're going to be big Purdy fans on this show.
8:09In the last three seasons, he's – I won't go through four-point versus six-point because it's been pretty similar.
8:15But he's been per game sixth, eleventh, and fourth.
8:18And I think about that with Caleb Williams who right now is QB six in ADP going 72nd overall.
8:24Caleb Williams is QB six. Brock Purdy on Fantasy Pros is QB 11 going 98th overall.
8:29Brock Purdy has finished as a top six quarterback per game in two of the last three seasons.
8:35And he's going – what did I say Caleb was going?
8:39Caleb is – I know QB six, but he's 72nd.
8:42Brock Purdy is 98th. So you can wait two rounds and get a guy who's already performed like we're hoping Caleb Williams has performed.
8:49I'm not saying I like Purdy better than Caleb, but you see what I'm getting at there.
8:55And then is there a tier that you usually avoid in drafts?
8:59One? One and two. Yeah. I get it with avoiding Josh Allen, but I don't want to necessarily avoid – and I
9:06love Josh Allen, but we just – you know, he's just going to go too high for us.
9:11Don't think I want to avoid tier two. Like tier two for Heath is Lamar, Drake, May, Jaden Daniels, Burrow, Hurts, Prescott.
9:18For Jamie, it's just Jackson, May, and Burrow with Daniels, Hurts, Prescott, and Herbert in tier three.
9:24But I don't want to miss out on – I mean, I guess I could say it's easier to make that –
9:31to say that with Heath's tier because it is basically tiers two and three for Jamie.
9:36It's just tier two for Heath. But, man, like those guys could be – some of those guys could approach 28 to 30 points per game, Jamie.
9:44So I don't want to – I don't think we have that in Purdy and Goff, et cetera.
9:50I don't want to just miss out. I don't think you should be like out of your way avoiding them unless they're just being drafted way too soon.
9:59Like, you know, you're going to get to that round three through five range where I think most of these guys will hopefully go.
10:07You know, Josh Allen starting that and then these guys coming off the board in rounds four and five, maybe the end of round three for Lamar Jackson.
10:16But I – it's always going to be the same thing that we'll say, you know, and I think probably to a man.
10:23And it's just if you don't like the players that are on the board at running back, wide receiver, tight end, it's
10:30easy to pivot to the quarterback because, like you said, there's 25-plus point potential for these guys in these tiers.
10:36And, yes, Jared Goff could do that. Brock Purdy could do that.
10:40The guys that we're hoping take that step forward, Caleb Williams, Jackson Dart, Trevor Lawrence on a consistent basis, you know, those guys can clearly do that.
10:49We've seen them do that at times. But it's a matter of, you know, does the upside of an Emeka, a Buka,
10:56a Quinshawn Judkins, you know, whatever player that we're expecting to be, you know, Luther Burden, the next breakout guys versus those
11:03quarterbacks and then hopefully pivoting to, let's say, a Christian Watson later or a Basial Tootin later.
11:08You know, you get the point. You know, somebody later and still getting those quarterbacks.
11:13Like, it's always when the quarterback is drafted and you're like, oh, I wish I would have waited.
11:18At least that was my feeling if I take a quarterback early.
11:22And then when I take a step back and I look at the broad picture of how I draft them, like, you
11:29know, having that guy is a pretty good, it makes you feel a little bit better because just know you're getting those guaranteed points.
11:37Okay. I mean, I kind of feel like he's a 24 to 5 fantasy point per game ceiling, which is awesome.
11:44And honestly, he can easily hit it. But fine.
11:46Did you say Daniels? I did. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
11:49But if we're talking about like guys who can get to 28, whoever it is, maybe there's four guys, maybe there's six guys.
11:57You just take the guy who goes last. That's how you play the tiers game.
12:01All right. So more on those guys in a little bit.
12:05FFT Dynasty, Heath, give me a promo. Oh, we have three shows this week.
12:09We'll have our regular Tuesday show, our regular Friday show.
12:13And I believe we will have a Wednesday afternoon show as well.
12:16Tune in on Tuesday morning. I'll tell you for sure.
12:19We're going to talk about some of the training camp guys and the guys that are going to see their value change before anybody plays real football games.
12:28And then I think we also need to probably do a couple of mock drafts, just get those refreshed for where the
12:35current value is in terms of FFT listeners. And Beyond the Box Score, also one that you want to check out.
12:42It has its own YouTube channel. Search for Beyond the Box Score.
12:46I'll be on today. I'll be on today also.
12:49Yeah. Different times. Yeah. Well, the thing is, we can't – like we don't do three-hour shows.
12:54So it takes three of us to put together one Jacob Gibbs and Dan Schneier episode.
12:59Yeah. I might only be on for like a half hour.
13:03That's what I told him to. Yeah. I'm talking about Trey McBride.
13:07What are you talking about today? Zay Flowers. Oh, nice.
13:10Okay. I love that. I mean, this is really cool, right?
13:13So it might just be a half hour on Trey McBride.
13:17And it might just be a half hour on Zay Flowers.
13:20And I'm sure that we'll talk about other players within those episodes.
13:24But deep dives for the diehard fan. I think I just came up with the slogan for Beyond the Box Score.
13:31Also want to promote that Dan and I went to the FSGA conference, which for us was the Fantasy Sports and Gaming Association conference.
13:38But Dan probably wishes he had been at the Florida State Golf Association conference because that's all he does is golf.
13:45In fact, he almost made me drive by myself instead of picking him up halfway because he wanted to golf on Friday.
13:52Anyway, we both – Wait, wait, wait, wait. You guys had a plan for you to pick him up and he decided to go golfing beforehand?
14:00No. One hour before I was about to leave, he called me and said, I got to do something on Friday.
14:07It might just make more sense for me to take my own car.
14:11Can you drive by yourself? And he kept kind of not wanting to admit it.
14:16I was like, Dan, just say golf. I know you want to go golfing, right?
14:21So he's like, okay, it's golf. It's golf. But we ended up sticking to the plan.
14:26Anyway, that was before the week even started. We each – he did that.
14:30We each have what we're calling a list of grievances.
14:33We're going to have an airing of grievances on our upcoming mailbag to talk about the horrible things that both of us
14:40did for the two days of FSGA. So it should be fun.
14:44It'll be a Festivus episode hopefully on Friday. Okay.
14:47We'll take a break and come back with some news and notes.
14:51John Breach of CBSSports.com has two ways to spice up NFL overtime, and we'll talk more about the quarterback tiers.

16:35Also, Dan and I played tennis on Friday. Who won?
16:38Who do you think? Dan. You would have led with it if you won.
16:42What's going on with my phone? Will you be quiet?
16:45Dan won 6-4. Ooh. Yeah. How's the injury? I'm okay.
16:49You know, it's the day after. It's usually rough.
16:52But Dan didn't play well. And he still did 6-4.
16:55So you would have won the second set? Because we know Dan's stamina is lacking.
16:59Listen, just wait until you hear his excuse. Just wait.
17:03I mean, it's like unbelievable. All right. Daniel Jones is medically cleared to do everything, according to The Athletic.
17:09So he'll be full go going into camp. I just drafted him in the Scott Fish Bowl, which is a super flex league, as my third quarterback.
17:17If you like Daniel Jones, you might be alone this year.
17:21Not a lot of people seem very high on Daniel Jones, although this kind of report could change that.
17:27But right now he's quarterback 25 in average draft position.
17:30Stay on the Colts. They want to reduce Jonathan Taylor's workload.
17:33I think if you were going to make a list of running backs most likely to lead the NFL in carries, would he be first or second?
17:42Top three. Yeah, he'd be up there. But they want to take some work away.
17:47What did you say? First. First, yeah. They want to take some work away.
17:51Just, you know, keep him fresh. No big deal.
17:54Travis Hunter. It's always interesting to hear that. And then we get to games and we never see it.
18:00Exactly. Who's the handcuff in your mind? It's one of the training camp battles.
18:05Yeah. Okay. Travis Hunter will be full go for training camp.
18:08I think you just said Giddens there, Jamie? Yes.
18:11Yeah, I guess if we had to pick one.
18:14But we'll see. And Stefan Diggs says he is the best wide receiver two in the NFL.
18:19And I'm very curious to see where he will end up.
18:23Actually not in the NFL. That's true. That's true.
18:26John Breach wrote a fun article. How many number two receivers would you take ahead of him right now?
18:32The way he was talking was like there's only seven or eight wide receiver ones.
18:36And I think he meant like after the elite guys, he's the best.
18:41Devontae Adams. Yeah. Higgins, Pickens, Adams. Darnell Mooney. Darnell Mooney for sure.
18:44I think at this point, and this will get me crushed probably, but I think at this point I'd probably take Jordan Addison.
18:52No, that's... Oh, I think it's fair. I don't think that's getting crushed.
18:56I think we all think Addison's a pretty good player.
18:59I think Diggs might still be a good player though.
19:02Yeah. He's got a point. He could be a very good wide receiver too.
19:07Yeah, I mean listen, if you're the Dolphins, you certainly should be on the phone seeing if there's a potential fit.
19:13I think if you're the Raiders, it makes some sense for him to go there.
19:18Maybe the Chiefs? I think it is probably... It's good to hear him call himself a wide receiver too.
19:24Yes. Like he kind of might have some concern signing Stefan Diggs that he thinks he deserves 10 targets a game.
19:31Yes. Agreed. All right. So a fun article real quick.
19:34John Breach has two ways to spice up NFL overtime.
19:37Inspired by the World Cup, which truth be told, I don't really care much anymore now that the USA is out, but
19:44this has been an incredible World Cup. Almost every game is super exciting.
19:48It's been great. Top three games in the world still alive.
19:52Yeah, it's really cool. It's really cool. So his two ways to spice up NFL overtime is basically borrow the college rule.
19:59The option number one is to do a two-point conversion shootout at the end of overtime.
20:04They don't have an overtime in... They don't have a 10-minute overtime in college football, but they do eventually in their third
20:11overtime, they go to the two-point conversion shootout. So that's option one.
20:15Heath does not like it, I can see. It's gross.
20:18I don't love it. The second one is a really cool idea.
20:22I'm just going to read what John said. If two NFL teams are still tied after the initial 10-minute overtime period, then
20:29everything would come down to the field goal gamble.
20:31That's right. I knew it had to do with kickers.
20:35Yeah. Of course. I knew it had to do with kickers.
20:38For those of you that don't know, John's dad was a legendary kicker for the Cincinnati Bengals.
20:44Yeah. This is pretty funny in that regard. A kicker would get to decide it.
20:48Let's break down how this would work. If a game is still tied after the initial 10-minute overtime period, there would be another coin toss.
20:56The team that wins the toss gets to choose the distance for a field goal attempt.
21:01The team that loses the coin toss would then decide whether to attempt the kick or have the other team attempt it.
21:08So he gave the example of the Packers-Cowboys, which played the only tie in the NFL this year.
21:14The Packers win the coin toss. They choose a 61-yard field goal.
21:18The Cowboys then say, well, we got Brandon Aubrey.
21:21We're going to kick it. If Aubrey makes it, the Cowboys win.
21:25If Aubrey misses it, the Packers win. I just imagine Breach getting so excited thinking about this kicker scenario.
21:31I think this is a great—first of all, he's not saying do away with overtime.
21:35He's saying no more ties. This is all we do if there's a tie.
21:40I don't agree with the chat here. The chat does not like it.
21:44This is a cool tiebreaker. No. I love it.
21:47I'm with the chat. Why? It's so cool. Is, by the way, the worst rule potential change in the history of sports ever, this NBA free-throw thing?
21:55Oh, you know what? I went to an NBA G League game, and I had no idea what was going on.
22:02I couldn't figure out the free-throw rule. I was like, they only take— They do that in high school summer league already.
22:09I like it. I like it. I don't really.
22:12I'm kind of a purist when it comes to basketball.
22:15I get it. You're trying to make the games—like, it's just dead time, and you're trying to take away that dead time.
22:22Yeah. If you get a two-shot foul or a three-shot foul, you get one shot.
22:27If you make it, you get all of the potential points.
22:30If you miss it, you get none. I think now that the Celtics have Mitchell Robinson, I probably like it.
22:37It's more likely that he makes one free-throw than two.
22:40It's completely unlikely he makes two, but I think the last two minutes, it's regular free-throws.
22:45All right. Cued quarterback tiers. Let's talk about tier one.
22:48Josh Allen for both Jamie and Heath. It's a one-person tier.
22:52Don't have to say much here, except do you think the addition— How about this?
22:56Hypothetically, if they had not traded for DJ Moore, would you still have Josh Allen in his own tier, Jamie?
23:03Yes. Heath? I think I probably would, yeah. I'm a little skeptical that DJ Moore is going to make a huge difference.
23:10So, yeah, I think I probably still would. Am I crazy for saying this?
23:14Josh Allen does not have the most upside at the position.
23:18I think Lamar does. Okay. Yes, sir. Me too.
23:21All right. Let's go to tier two then. Let's bring it.
23:24Tier two for Jamie. I think maybe—is it best to look at tiers two and three for Jamie and just compare to tier two for Heath?
23:32Because for Jamie, tier two is Jackson, May, and Burrow.
23:35And tier three is Daniels, Hurts, Herbert, Prescott. Whereas for Heath, tier two is Jackson, May, Daniels, Burrow, Hurts, Prescott.
23:42So it's only missing Herbert. In other words, if you—unless I'm wrong here—if you combine tiers two and three for Jamie, it's
23:49the same as tier two for Heath, except it includes Justin Herbert, right?
23:53Yep. All right. So, Jamie, is there any reason why you decided to separate Jackson, May, and Burrow from Daniels, Hurts, Herbert, and Prescott?
24:01I think those three are on a little bit of a different level.
24:05Obviously, Lamar, as we just alluded to, most upside probably of anybody at the position, has shown you what he's capable of
24:12when he's healthy, and hopefully that's the case this year.
24:15And maybe the new offense under Declan Doyle allows him to be even better.
24:19So, lots of love about Lamar. Drake May, I think, gets better with the addition of A.J.
24:25Brown. It was pretty special last year. And Joe Burrow, when he's been healthy, has been amazing.
24:30Jayden Daniels, you can make a case, obviously. For me, at least, I would separate Daniels from Hurts and Prescott.
24:36So Daniels was the one I probably struggled with the most, but he's at the top of the next tier.
24:43And I, for the most part, early on, leaned on my projections for putting together the tiers.
24:48And I have these six quarterbacks. Is it six, right?
24:51Yeah. All basically within one point per game in my projections.
24:55I kind of would view this tier as they might be.
24:58Well, really, I would say they might be QB2.
25:01The truth is, we've seen several. Usually, there's one guy that sneaks up and is just a little bit better than Josh Allen.
25:09We're just much more confident that Josh Allen's going to be top three than any of these guys.
25:14Yeah, I think. All right. So Jackson, May, and Burrow, tier two for James.
25:19Yeah, go ahead, go ahead. Like, I think May is kind of the hybrid of the group.
25:24Like, Jackson, Daniels, and Hurts could all have enormous rushing production and still good passing numbers.
25:29And I think Burrow and Dak could throw for 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns.
25:34And May kind of combines. He's probably not going to rush for quite as much as the three I mentioned in terms of fantasy points.
25:42And he's probably not going to throw for quite as much as Burrow and Hurts and Prescott.
25:47But he's good enough in both. Right. Well said.
25:50And Daniels, you know, I like this stat for Jaden Daniels because he only played four games with 100% of the snaps.
25:57And in those four games, it looked a lot like his 2024 season, except just didn't have any rushing touchdowns.
26:03But, you know, his season was so wonky. Knee and hamstring injuries earlier in the season.
26:08Elbow injury later in the season. So few times did he actually start and finish.
26:13But he did that, I think. Like, I don't know if it was weeks one through four, but it was his first four games.
26:21And I think, like, the perception on Jaden Daniels is kind of weird.
26:25And Ricky in the chat is really upset that we have Jaden Daniels ahead of Caleb Williams.
26:30I do, at least. I'm not sure. I have him in a different tier.
26:35Jamie may have him in the same tier next.
26:38But, like, I think from what we've seen so far, I feel more confident in Jaden Daniels as a rusher than Caleb Williams.
26:45And I feel more confident in Jaden Daniels as a passer than Caleb Williams.
26:49Well, it's not even close as a rusher. Right.
26:52As a passer, that's interesting. I think I expect Caleb to take the next step, and a lot of fantasy players in general do.
27:00But there's no reason to expect that Jaden Daniels wouldn't be better, is there?
27:04Yes, there is. His best and maybe only legitimate weapon is 30 years old now.
27:09Okay, so it's weapons. But not like passing ability.
27:12I mean, if he were playing on the Chicago Bears this year, you know.
27:16He might be QB1. Yeah. Right. That's kind of how I'm seeing it.
27:20That's how I approach it. Jamie, your thoughts on Jaden Daniels?
27:24And I'm sorry, let me just say again, first four games when he played 100% of the snaps, he was, Jaden Daniels,
27:31like, as bad as last year was. He was actually the top seven quarterback per game.
27:36And again, that was only four games, but it was with zero, I think, zero rushing touchdowns in those four games.
27:43So, anywho, yeah, no rushing touchdowns. But your thoughts on Daniels?
27:46Well, I think Jaden Daniels' best weapon is himself.
27:49You know, so that's the biggest reason. You know, so what he'll do with his legs, he could easily rush for 1,000 yards.
27:56He was close as a rookie. So, does he have the weapons that Caleb Williams has?
28:01Well, clearly not. But I think the interesting part of Jaden Daniels will be, if they sign Stefan Diggs, if they sign
28:08somebody else, do they get another receiver of significance?
28:11And how high does he then go? I don't think Heath will have him much higher, but maybe he does move him up a spot.
28:19For me, it'll probably just put him in this tier.
28:22I wouldn't take him ahead of Jackson, May, or Burrow.
28:26But it would definitely, you know, bump up his round value.
28:29So, I think Jaden Daniels can still get better.
28:32But at this point, I just think you know what you're getting.
28:36You're getting a very good running quarterback who could throw it as well as anybody.
28:41And if he had better weapons, like Heath said, he might be talking about QB1 or QB2.
28:46Combining what we've talked about already today, man, wouldn't that be the perfect spot for Stefan Diggs?
28:51Yep. I think that's where he wants to go.
28:54I mean, he went to school at Maryland. I think he's training there, you know, so it just makes a lot of
29:01sense, especially after the Brandon Ayuk fiasco, if that was something they were considering.
29:06Like, Diggs may have his off-field issues and, you know, still maybe having to, you know, go through something.
29:12But as a player, as we talked about, you know, for what he accomplished last year, coming off an ACL tear, learning
29:19a new offense, learning a new quarterback, like he really, I think, showed he can still be an asset to a team
29:26and for our purposes can potentially be a number three fantasy receiver if things go right.
29:31I don't think Joe Burrow requires much discussion. We pretty much know who he is, although injuries have really held him back in his career.
29:39But I always do this every year. I look at the games where Burrow, Chase, and Higgins are all healthy, playing, you
29:46know, more than 50% of the snaps or as close to normal snapshare as possible.
29:50And there's been five years, and you look at these sample sizes, and I'm going to tell you how many points per
29:57game Joe Burrow has averaged when Higgins, when he, Higgins, and Chase are all healthy.
30:02So from 2021 on. 23.3 points per game in six point, which is good, not great.
30:0729.1, which is amazing. He was terrible in 2023.
30:10They all were bad. 28.2 in 2024, which would have made him QB two per game, and 25.7 last year, which also
30:17would have made him QB two per game. So in three of the last five seasons, Joe Burrow has been good enough
30:24to be number one or number two per game in six point and anywhere from two to four per game in four
30:31point per passing touchdown leagues when they've all been healthy.
30:34Can we get a number of games that has happened each year?
30:38So it was 14 games, nine games, seven games, 12 games, and five games.
30:43So like, and that's kind of the thing is I think like we've, the chat has mostly been saying like Jaden Daniels health is the concern.
30:51He can't stay healthy. He can't. I don't hear that about Joe Burrow very often.
30:56You're right. And certainly it happens with Higgins. You don't hear that often really?
31:00I think the, I think the Russian quarterbacks give people more anxiety, right?
31:04Like we expect them to get hurt. Not just general public.
31:08I mean, you know, I, I don't know at what point that it became like, oh, it's so, it's so concerning.
31:14You know, maybe it was RG three, you know, after the rookie season he had, and everybody was, you know, petrified afterwards.
31:21But I mean, look, you have to have some concern about it, but I can't, you can't have a realistic injury conversation
31:28and not have Joe Burrow in there. It's just not fair.
31:32Sure. Agreed. All right. So how about Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, and Justin Herbert with Hurts and Prescott in this tier two
31:39or three group for both Jamie and Heath and Herbert in there just for Jamie.
31:44So what's the, what's the upside for those guys, Jamie, Herbert Prescott and Hurts?
31:48I mean, Hurts track record is clearly tried and true.
31:51It's just a matter of, you know, to what level you're going to get Jalen Hurts and losing AJ Brown doesn't help.
31:58But I think the group that he has with him, at least from a depth standpoint, is, has the chance to be solid.
32:05You know, so there are questions, you have to have questions about his receiving court, because we've never seen Devontae Smith in this role.
32:13Dallas Goddard has been solid, but he has a tough time staying healthy.
32:17Makai Lemon is a first round rookie, but he's already dealing with an injury.
32:22Marquise Brown, Dante Wicks, you can go on and on just about, you know, the pros and cons of these guys.
32:28But again, Jalen Hurts, if he's going to run, then you're going to get the tush push.
32:34You're going to get the rushing touchdowns. You're going to get, you know, probably 500 plus yards.
32:39And so that keeps him in the conversation to be a top five fantasy quarterback, which is why Keith has him where he does.
32:47And, you know, for just a little bit of a lesser extent, so do I.
32:52Obviously, the one that I think needs to probably have the, you know, you need to be sold on is Justin Herbert.
32:59Right. If you're not paying attention to what's going on this offseason.
33:02And that's the addition of Mike McDaniel. You know, and then you look at what he did last year where he ran
33:09the ball to a level that we haven't seen from over 400 yards rushing.
33:14When he had his tackles healthy or when he had his tackle healthy because he didn't have Rashawn Slater for the entire
33:21season and only had Joe out for six games.
33:24But in the first four games, it looked like first and second year Justin Herbert.
33:28And so for me, if anybody hasn't been paying attention, obviously I'm all in on the chargers this year.
33:34I think Justin Herbert has a chance to get back to that 25 plus point threshold.
33:40If I said that correctly. Um, you know, with the tackles healthy and almost entirely rebuilt interior of his line.
33:46But really it's like, we saw Mike McDaniel get a passing yards leading season from Tua Tunga-Vailoa.
33:51And that's now going from, I don't want to be disrespectful to it, but that's like going from like, uh, Adam, you still have your Volvo?
34:00I never had a Volvo. Volkswagen? What'd you have?
34:02I had a Volkswagen. Now I have a Honda CRV.
34:06Okay. Okay. So like that level of car to like, you know, uh, uh, uh, a much nicer version of it, you
34:13know, like it's like Justin Herbert's is a huge upgrade.
34:16Yeah. We're, we're definitely stepping into the BMW here.
34:19Right. Uh, yeah. We think. Yeah. Well, I didn't, I didn't say like, uh, I didn't say like, uh, I didn't say.
34:26I was thinking like, what's the car that looks really, really awesome.
34:29Like an alien bug thing. The Tesla. That weird, like tank.
34:33Yeah. I know what you're talking about. I think the thing with Herbert is you've seen him be an elite fantasy quarterback
34:40and then it just was broken for a variety of reasons.
34:43His play offensive issues, offensive coaching, all those things for, you know, a three, four year period.
34:49And we've seen flashes of it again. And now the hope would be, at least for me is the coach could be great.
34:56He's been one of the most creative play callers in the league since taking over the Dolphins head coaching spot.
35:03And now he's in with the chargers, all his weapons and hopefully everybody around him stays healthy.
35:08It's a huge question mark, but I'm, I'm hoping that's going to be the case.
35:13My biggest question, I think with Herbert is what is the pass volume in Los Angeles?
35:18Like how, his best season, he threw the ball 672 times, had 5,000 yards passing, 38 touchdowns.
35:23The last two seasons, it's been 504 attempts and 512 attempts.
35:27It's really, really hard to be a difference maker at quarterback.
35:30Now, if you rush for 500 yards, that helps.
35:33Maybe he does that. He almost did that last year.
35:36Maybe he does that again. Right. I don't know where you guys would put Herbert because it is a bit of a
35:43mystery with McDaniel and maybe he wants to throw the ball more now that he's got Herbert.
35:49I've got him 15th in pass attempts, but I haven't, I don't really have a strong lean.
35:54That's why he's kind of in the middle of the pack for me.
35:58Yeah. I think the rushing yards, I mean, you mentioned what he did last year, Jamie, but I don't think we can bank on that.
36:06He had no, no, you know, so maybe 300 rushing yards.
36:10I think he's certainly capable of that. You know, 17.5, 18, he's, he's been around 17 to 18 rushing yards per game.
36:17Most years last year, Herbert was 31 rushing yards per game.
36:20So that'll probably come down. What's the difference between him and Dak Prescott?
36:24For me, it's the ability to just take a step forward where I think Prescott is just going to kind of stay
36:31in the same level where he's been, which has been fantastic.
36:35You know, so I could see Herbert 20 north of 25 points.
36:38I think you said it earlier, like 23, 24 points to me is Dak Prescott.
36:43So I, I guess I probably have to answer since I have them in different tiers.
36:48Um, I, for me, it, like Jamie mentioned the great McDaniel season with Tua and maybe multiple seasons, but he had Tyreek
36:55and Waddle and I am like Dak has CD lamb and George Pickens compared to Lad McConkie who were hopeful breaks out and Quentin Johnston.
37:03Like it's a, it's a pretty big difference in pass catching weapons for me.
37:08And I have a lot more projected passes for Dak than I do for Herbert.
37:12So that's, I think where I'm going to guess probably Dave and I align on this a little bit more is that
37:19I think that Cowboys defense takes a significant step forward.
37:23Yeah. But to the chargers level, the chargers could have one of the best.
37:27No, no, no, no. But there's a difference there.
37:30I think the, if, if it goes as I hope and Harbaugh just says, that's yours, Mike, go do what you want.
37:37And doesn't rain in Mike McDaniel. Like we could see a lot of just fantastic things coming out of the chargers.
37:44Not that the Cowboys aren't going to be great, but I think there's, there's a chance that it's like one of the best offenses in football.
37:52I think the Cowboys, you know, under Dan Quinn, they did have some good defenses, some really good defenses.
37:58And I believe they straight through the ball. I, I meant to come, I meant to do that research and know it for sure.
38:06But I don't think they've never really been like, no, I wouldn't say they've never been run heavy, but I think they've
38:13still had good pass volume even with good defenses.
38:15And then also I looked at, at six teams last year that made pretty big jumps defensively.
38:21It went up at least 10 spots from 2024 to 2025 and points per game allowed.
38:26And then like Carolina threw a lot less, but San Francisco had a higher pass rate.
38:31The Jaguars had a lower pass rate, but a new coach, same with the Patriots.
38:36Uh, the Browns went from first to seventh and pass rate.
38:39The Falcons had a slight increase in pass rate.
38:42So overall, it wasn't exactly conclusive looking at the six teams that had the biggest improvement defensively from 2024 to 2025 and
38:49what it meant for their pass rate. Um, you know, I couldn't, especially because two of them had a new coach, you
38:56know, and you expected Mike Vrabel to be more run heavy.
39:00I don't know if you expected that from Leon Cohen, but okay.
39:03I've got to take a break. So that is the first three tiers basically for Jamie, the first two tiers for Heath.
39:10We'll get into the Brock Purdy's Jackson darts, Trevor Lawrence's Caleb Williams of the world.
39:15When we come back on fantasy football today. This past summer, my wife and I took my parents, our son and our granddaughter on vacation to Tennessee.
39:24We wanted to get out into nature. So we found the perfect cabin on Airbnb where all four generations could stay together.
39:31The amenities really made the trip special. We had our own hot tub with a mountain view, a fire pit for late night s'mores and a full kitchen.
39:40When you're traveling with four generations, eating every meal out gets expensive.
39:43So it was great to make bacon and eggs for breakfast one morning and grill steaks for dinner another night.
39:50Booking a stay like this gives you the flexibility to vacation how you want, where you want with the people who matter most.
39:57But it got me thinking Airbnb isn't just great for finding places to stay.
40:02You can also list your own home when you're away.
40:05It's nice that the same platform I use to book family vacations can also help me earn a little extra money during
40:12high demand weekends without having to up in my daily life.
40:15Honestly, listing my house feels like a smart thing to do because it's just so incredibly practical.
40:21I'm already going to be traveling anyway. So why not earn a little extra money to put toward an upcoming vacation, help
40:28offset the cost of my flights or upgrade my travel gear.
40:31Turns an empty house into an easy opportunity while you enjoy your own time off.
40:36Your home might be worth more than you think.
40:39Find out how much at airbnb.com slash host. All right, on to tier four.
40:43And if Caleb Williams is going to be, you know, in this tier for Jamie, he's in tier three, the kind of
40:50the end of tier three for Heath. He's just no one has him on our, in our site as a top six
40:57quarterback, just to say that, but he is obviously very exciting.
41:01Jamie has Trevor Lawrence, Jackson Dart and Caleb Williams in tier four.
41:04And again, this is kind of like tier three.
41:07Maybe you just go back real quick. If you wouldn't mind a tier three for Heath, because for Jamie, it's Lawrence Dart
41:14and Caleb in tier four, but tier three has all three of those guys for Heath.
41:19As well as Purdy and Goff. Yeah, Purdy and Goff and Herbert.
41:23So look, whether it's tier three, whether it's tier four, we're, you know, in the back, the back part of the top
41:3012 and the beginning of, you know, the outside, I wouldn't call them backups.
41:35They may not be 12th, but you know, they're starting quarterbacks.
41:38They're just not in the first two tiers. So Purdy, Goff, Dart, Lawrence, Caleb Williams.
41:43Am I forgetting anyone? Herbert for Heath, but not for Jamie.
41:46Yeah, I think Jamie, we'd be, we'd be perfectly fine with these guys as our quarterbacks.
41:51What are our expectations for the Purdy, Goff, Dart, Lawrence, Caleb?
41:55I mean, in the case of Purdy and Goff, you have the track record of what they've done and hopefully will continue
42:02to do, you know, so I just don't see the same upside.
42:06And that's probably not fair for Purdy because as Heath alluded to through week 17 from points per game standpoint, he was
42:13great, but he obviously didn't play very many games in the first 11.
42:17For Goff, it's just kind of, can he ever exceed that 21, 22 point threshold?
42:22For me, why I have Lawrence, Dart and Williams ahead of them, and I go back and forth between Dart and Williams.
42:29So, you know, that's kind of a tough one just based on how much the Giants could potentially run the ball.
42:35So I think once we get an official word on Malik Nabors, I'll probably move Williams ahead of Dart.
42:41But in the case of these other guys, you're hoping that they take the step forward.
42:46And if they do take the step forward, and we saw flashes of it, obviously Dart did everything that he accomplished last year without Malik Nabors.
42:55The neighbors got hurt in week four. That was Dart's first dart.
42:59What Dart did as a rusher hopefully will continue.
43:01And then the additions that they made in the passing game, you know, from free agency, rookie, you know, and even just,
43:08you know, just taking a step forward in year two would be the hope.
43:13I think in the case of Caleb Williams and Trevor Lawrence, like, you know, the coaching changes were so important for them
43:20and hopefully will continue to be important for them.
43:23Now, Caleb, you know, can he break through that threshold that's never happened before of being the first 4,000-yard passer?
43:29I mean, he really did it last year, but he didn't.
43:33But can he be that first 4,000-yard passer in Chicago history?
43:36You know, and how far can he get to, you know, on top of that?
43:41For Lawrence is, you know, I'm sure this will be Heath's, you know, point on him is that he's just never done
43:48it consistently over the course of a season. And so does what we saw, did what we see last year, does he
43:55have the potential to do that again? And that's what I'm counting on.
43:59I think Liam Cohen's offense has just been fantastic for the last two quarterbacks that have been in it.
44:05Baker Mayfield in 2024, Trevor Lawrence in 2025. And, you know, you talk about weapons for some of these guys and nitpicking
44:12it, like Jacksonville may not have, like, a true number one, but they have potentially four number twos, you know?
44:18And it's pretty exciting to see what Lawrence did last year and hopefully we get a better Brian Thomas and, you know,
44:25a continuation of Parker Washington and the, you know, parts that they put Travis Hunter in, you know, parts of the game
44:32that they put Travis Hunter in and Jacoby Myers, like it could be really fun.
44:37So that's kind of why I think if you're inclined to wait on quarterback, it just, it's so, it's such a deep
44:44position with so much upside and so many different ways you can go.
44:48Like you're starting to see for Heath, you know, as we get into it a little bit more, like here's where the
44:55number one quarterback is from a year ago and the NFL MVP and Matthew Stafford, who some people just don't think are
45:02going to do it again, which is why he's not ranked higher.
45:06You have Mahomes. If he's healthy, we know what he's capable of and showed it last year, you know, when he was
45:13running again, I don't think that'll be the case, but you know, it can just go on and on.
45:19So if we look at tier three, I mean, I know we're on tier four for Jamie, but it's really mostly tier
45:26three for Heath and I go by these, these players one by one.
45:30And you tell me, uh, should we do upside here or, you know, how likely you are to draft them?
45:36Maybe. Yeah. Draft, draftometer. How likely you are to draft them?
45:40Brock Purdy, zero to 10. Eight. Um, likely to draft, uh, six.
45:44Jared Goff. Nine. Four. Heath, why so much higher on Goff?
45:47Uh, well, and I don't know, maybe fantasy pros ADP is different, but right now in CBS ADP, Jared Goff is 144th in ADP.
45:55So he's at the 1213 turn. So I could draft him as my QB two.
46:00Much different. If I drafted an upside QB one.
46:03Much different on fantasy pros. But I think quarterbacks in general are going earlier.
46:07107. But what, what are Purdy compared to Goff on fantasy pros?
46:11It's pretty close. Purdy is QB 12. I think I said, and Goff is QB 15.
46:16They're about eight picks apart. Yeah. I don't think that's going to like, how high is golf on fantasy pros?
46:22QB 15, 107th overall. Purdy's actually QB 11, 98th overall.
46:25So I think there's got to be some super flex factored in there.
46:30Cause there's not one QB leagues where the 15th QB is being drafted in round nine very often.
46:35Yeah. Typically I, I guess. I think they separate theirs though.
46:39Fantasy pros. So do we, by the way. What I would say is if golf is 15th on fantasy pros, he's 16th on CBS.
46:46So he is a backup quarterback. Well, yes, but, but we agree.
46:50There are more than 12 guys who are worth starting where you could settle for as your, I mean, it's pretty cool.
46:57The QB 15 is Jared golf. I don't know about in a four point per passing touchdown league, although yards count.
47:04And I think that would be his worst finish since he got to Detroit.
47:08Since his first year in Detroit. Let's see. Last four seasons per game.
47:12Yeah, you're absolutely right. 13th, 12th, 8th and 9th in that's well, that's counting up.
47:17That's from 22 to 2025. So last two years, golf's been eighth and ninth per game.
47:22That's six point in four point per passing touchdown leagues.
47:25Golf has been 14th, 14th, 7th and 11th per game.
47:29And I don't know. I'm not, I'm just not really sure I'm going to draft that guy.
47:34If the best he's done is QB seven or eight in the last four years.
47:39Well, what if you draft him as QB 16?
47:42Then yeah, but. So I don't know why we would like, you don't have to draft him earlier than that.
47:48I think if you, if you, if you know, you're going to be, and you have enough depth on your roster.
47:55If you know, you're going to be in on the potential injury guys, Jane Daniels, Joe Burrow, those type of quarterbacks or
48:02the unproven guys of dart or Caleb, or, you know, you want to throw Trevor Lawrence in there, whatever.
48:08Like this is the perfect marriage is Jared golf and one of those guys.
48:12Now, if you really want to wait and say, okay, I really believe in Kyler Murray this year, a Murray golf pairing
48:19late or a shuck pairing, you know, shuck golf pairing, you know, those types of things or a pretty golf pair, you
48:26know, just looking at pretty wasn't healthy last year either.
48:29You know? So there's, there's lots of different ways to go.
48:33Like Jared golf is the perfect guy to say, I'm going to know what I have.
48:38And it's funny. You say if, if you're getting QB seven, you don't want that, but, um, right.
48:44I, I, well, I didn't say that. I know what you meant, but, um, um, if you know what you're getting with
48:51Jared golf, which is at worst, let's say a QB 12 or 13 finish.
48:55Like that'll win you some weeks though with the, if the rest of your roster is doing what it's supposed to.
49:02I'm a huge fan of Jared golf is J is Matthew Stafford, not a better version of Jared golf.
49:08Cause twice in the last five years, Matthew Stafford has been out of this world.
49:13Good. And golf hasn't reached those heights. Stafford's also been worse.
49:16So he's more volatile, but does, does he not have more upside than Jared golf?
49:21I think so. Heath. I mean, it's hard to say he doesn't after what happened last year.
49:26I just don't really believe anything that I just don't really believe that he can do what he did last year again.
49:33So I guess you'd have to say he has a higher upside and he is also much more likely to be dropped.
49:40Cause he was on the waiver wire in leagues.
49:43Yeah. I dropped them. Two of the past four years, probably sometime last year.
49:48I dropped them. Yep. He averaged 26 points per game last year.
49:51He averaged 24 points per game in 2021. And let me just see what golf has, uh, if golf, how many, if
49:58golf has ever reached 24 points per game, I'd be surprised.
50:02Uh, his high, his highest with Detroit is 22.9, 23.1 with the Rams back in 2018.
50:07So that's a little bit of a comparison of the upsides maybe of Stafford versus, but I think golf is like even Jaden Daniels.
50:15We talked about him and his injury concerns. Like he, he is the perfect guy to pair with those guys golf.
50:21Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think if we're talking about as a backup, it's awesome.
50:26Um, not sure I'd want him as my starter.
50:29Well, I don't know. I shouldn't say that. I, I, he's not for me.
50:33If he's your starter, then you have five running backs and five wide receivers that you took in the first 11 rounds.
50:40Yeah. He's good. He's really good. I, we did a draft on Thursday last week, uh, 10 team half PPR draft.
50:47And for anybody that was, you know, saw the story.
50:50Um, so I drafted for Dave, just using Dave's rankings and completely whiffed on tight end just because whenever it came up,
50:57he didn't have a tight end in his rankings at high.
51:00And, you know, ended up with, I think, um, Dalton Kincaid and Chico Conco were his tight ends.
51:06It's the same thing with quarterback. Like if you just continue to stockpile talent, like he, he just said, you're just, you're drafting great running backs, great receivers.
51:15Just can't pass on those types of players. Like you get to that spot and it's like, oh, I'm stuck with Jared golf.
51:22And then I think if you take golf, then you take another high upside guy.
51:27So then that's where guys like for me, Kyler and Tyler Shuck come into play.
51:32Bo Nix, who's another guy that's getting a little, you know, somewhat disrespected by all of us because he's been a top
51:3910 quarterback each his first two seasons and still has the potential with it.
51:43Hey, you've got another receiver who should make you better, but we're going to rank you lower than you finished the last two years.
51:51Like that's what we do. It's wild. And he's actually a Bo Nix is right.
51:56One pick behind Jared golf on fantasy pros QB 16.
51:59Uh, I just got to hear, right. He's been top 10 or 12 each of the last two years.
52:05Yeah. Bo Nix. It's not always the prettiest. He was actually 13th per game last year.
52:10Sorry, but, but really it does seem like people were pretty down on him and he got right.
52:16Like you said, he got wild. I just got a text message by the way, from Dave Richard.
52:21Uh, he said today isn't my birthday. So he's taking it out on me.
52:26Apparently thanks. You should just say, I know that's what I said.
52:30I said, what do you, what do you mean?
52:32Uh, all right. What a weird thing to say.
52:35So Jackson dart, because anything, well, I think we need to talk about Caleb Williams.
52:40Why you guys are a little, I guess, lower on Caleb than, uh, than the fantasy industry.
52:46It's two things for me and it may change, but as of right now, he is the least accurate passer that we might draft in fantasy football.
52:54He is kind of what people think Jalen hurts is as a passer and stylistically.
52:59I think he plays football the exact opposite way that his coach would like to.
53:04Okay. Jamie, I just think it's a great position.
53:06You know, like again, the one that I struggle with is dart and Caleb, just because we're, we're hoping at this point,
53:13cause I think that's the only thing you can do is you're hoping that Malik neighbors is not going to be on
53:20the public for the first five or six weeks of the season.
53:24And you don't have that because if he has that, and even if it's not the best version of Malik neighbors, it's
53:31still better than what he had last year. You know?
53:34So you give him neighbors, you give him, uh, Darnell Mooney, give him Isaiah likely, you know, you give him, you know,
53:41hopefully, uh, the ability to run, which I think is the biggest part of this because, you know, he got hurt last
53:48year, but, or multiple times last year. But if he does that, like that's a different gear than Caleb Williams has, at least as fantasy quarterback.
53:57So, um, I love Caleb Williams. I don't know if anybody can, can watch him and say, that's not fun to watch.
54:04That's not fun to root for. And, and now maybe we see, I don't know if you get necessarily better as a
54:11group by losing DJ more, but you get more Luther burden.
54:14You get hopefully a full year of Colston Lovellum because didn't really have that animal until the end of the season going into the playoffs.
54:22And he didn't have Romo Doomsday at that time.
54:25So if everybody's healthy, like it could be great and we could be completely wrong.
54:30And the ADP can be exactly right that he is a toxic quarterback.
54:34But, um, I just don't want to overvalue Caleb Williams.
54:37The same thing with Jackson Dart. Like both those guys to me can be amazing.
54:42And you could also see a little bit of a step back just based on how things may or may not change.
54:49And the, the bears, you know, look, we'll see if their run game continues to be as impressive.
54:55If not, then I think more is on Caleb, which I think will help.
54:59Um, and in the case of, of, uh, the offensive line too, like, you know, there's a little bit of a change
55:06going on there, which I hope will still be as productive for the bears.
55:10Man, Caleb versus Dart is such an easy call for me.
55:14It's just so clearly Caleb Williams. Dart has one advantage over him and it's potentially it's rushing totals and rushing.
55:20I thought it was throwing the ball where he wants to.
55:24I understand that criticism of Caleb. Like it's obviously there's no arguing against it.
55:28He completed less than 60% of his passes. It's a joke, but he also makes some plays that are so unbelievable that
55:35just from a fantasy points perspective, it makes up for it.
55:39Right. He's got least chunk plays. Um, but he's just such a better player than Jackson Dart.
55:44I think at this point, and it's really Ben Johnson and all those weapons versus Matt Nagy and the lack of weapons.
55:51Uh, but Dart was better as a starter than Caleb last year, right?
55:55Probably it's, it's hard to say, you know, believe it or not, Jackson Dart only had one top five finish in 12
56:02starts in six point per passing touchdown leagues in four point for passing touchdown leagues.
56:07He had like four or something, uh, which I think in four point, he was definitely better than Caleb in six point.
56:14Caleb was 10th per game. Dart had that game with zero points against the Vikings.
56:19So I don't know. I think it was a little closer than, than we might think.
56:24Is it that easy for you? If Malik is healthy?
56:27Yes. Um, Ricky in the chat says this guy is obsessed with completion percentage.
56:31I'm not sure if he was talking about you or me, but I just wanted to say that when I was talking
56:38about accuracy, I was not necessarily talking about completion percentage so much as all of the advanced metrics that we have that
56:45measure on target throws and bad throws. Yes, Jamie.
56:48Thank you, Heath. I think he's probably referring to you, but the completion percentage is so bad for Caleb Williams that you just can't ignore it.
56:57But I think I've, I've just been on Twitter and there are a lot of really smart people in the industry.
57:03And just one of the things I keep seeing is how good Ben Johnson offenses are, um, how, how smart he is and what he does differently.
57:12And it's just like, Jamie, you're, you're in on the chargers because of McDaniel just in this particular comparison, bears versus giants.
57:19I mean, it's such a no brainer for me to favor the guy on the bears.
57:24I mean, look, every, everything logically says Caleb Williams should be better because he is the prospect.
57:29He is the better, he has the better weapons.
57:32He has the better coach. And, you know, again, depending on what sample sizes you want to use, when everybody was healthy
57:39for the bears, he was better than what Jackson dart was, but Jackson dart didn't have his best weapon and got better weapons.
57:46If you give him neighbors again, whatever version of it, it's still to me better than what he had last year.
57:53No, no disrespect to Wanda Robinson. Um, Isaiah likely is a huge upgrade.
57:57You know, Darnell Mooney, I think is a big addition.
58:00And so yes, Matt Nagy may not be great.
58:03Uh, but I think Jackson darts rushing ability from a fantasy perspective, you got to give that a big boost for him over Caleb Williams.
58:11Dave kids, Dave is. So why are strangers wishing me a happy 50th?
58:15That's strange. Why, why am I dealing with this?
58:18Why would, how, how would I know? Dave, this is not fair.
58:22I said, they like you question mark. All right.
58:25Listen, I've done a pretty bad job here of navigating this show.
58:29Uh, so we have a lot of quarterbacks remaining to talk about here.
58:33So let's just talk about the next group. And, uh, for, for Heath, it's Tyler Shuck and, and Matthew Stafford, Bo Nix, Jordan Love and Patrick Mahomes.
58:41Tyler Shuck, Matthew Stafford, Bo Nix, uh, Jordan Love and Patrick Mahomes.
58:45And we're 17 quarterbacks deep for Heath at this point.
58:48A similar tier for Jamie would be Stafford, Purdy Mahomes, Kyler, Nix and Goff.
58:53It's actually fairly different there, but, uh, that's tier five for Jamie versus tier four for Heath.
58:58Uh, but good quarterbacks. Heath, you want to take us through your, uh, tier four Shuck, Stafford, Nix, Love, Mahomes.
59:05Yeah, I think these are the high end QB twos that nobody will be surprised if half of them finish as like QB 10 through 12.
59:13I don't, I do think there's some touchdown regression coming for, for Matthew Stafford.
59:17I'm a little concerned. I, I kind of feel even more so about the way about Bo Nix that I do Caleb Williams.
59:25Like he just hasn't played quarterback as well as his fantasy production suggests.
59:29Um, Mahomes sticks out like a sore thumb here.
59:32And if he's 100% to start camp, I'll probably move him up a little bit, but I'm a little worried that the
59:39addition of Kenneth Walker means they throw less and Mahomes coming off of an injury means he runs less.
59:45And that's a pretty bad combination for fantasy football purposes.
59:48I actually think there's, I mean, you could argue that I think there's three guys in this tier that could be awesome.
59:55I'm not going to say top, whatever, but Stafford Nix and Mahomes.
59:59I mean, Love has been awesome in terms of efficiency.
60:02He just had like, if green Bay just decides to throw the ball a normal amount, he could be awesome.
60:08Just about to say that. Yeah. He's played great.
60:11You're absolutely right. That's why I'm a little surprised you have Shuck in here.
60:16Shuck was really good last year for a rookie and not just for a rookie, but I'm a little surprised you have
60:22him with Stafford Nix, Love and Mahomes. I, the way like we've given all the, uh, the shine to Mike McDaniel and Ben Johnson and they're awesome.
60:31And for fantasy football purposes, so is Kellen Moore, especially for passing games.
60:35Kellen Moore's very awesome. Um, and if Chris Olave and Jordan Tyson are both healthy, Tyler Shuck might have one of the
60:42best wide receiver duos in the NFL. All right.
60:45How about we take a look at Jamie's tier five?
60:48Cause it's similar. So just, just, just for, uh, for Shuck, um, he averaged, I think it was around, or I don't
60:55remember what exactly what it was is his 20 points.
60:58I gotta tell you a second, but Kellen Moore as a play caller from a points per game perspective, his quarterbacks, the
61:05worst year he's gotten was a 21 point per game season.
61:09Wow. Now granted that's Dak Prescott, Jalen hurts and Justin Herbert.
61:12So is Tyler Shuck on that level? We'll find out.
61:16Is he, I don't think he was the coordinator for Hertz best season.
61:20Dan and I had a fight about that, but he, he was the coordinator for Herbert's best season.
61:25He was the, no, he wasn't the coordinator for Herbert's best season.
61:29Herbert's best season was his first two years. He only had Herbert for one year.
61:34Um, he was Hertz coordinator for the super bowl year.
61:37So obviously from a team standpoint, and he had some pretty great seasons with Dak.
61:42I love it. Tyler Shuck scored 19.1 or more fantasy points in six straight games to end the season.
61:48And, uh, he only had seven touchdown passes in those six games, but he was very good down the stretch three of his last five games.
61:56He was over 33 yards rushing. So if he can do that a little bit more, that's going to make him pretty special too.
62:04And that was a pretty big surprise to me anyway, but it was a big part of his game.
62:10Chuck was on pace from in his nine starts.
62:13He was on pace for 329 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.
62:17And I don't know how to look at that.
62:19Cause I think that, that surprised me. Like I said, I didn't think he had that in him.
62:25If he's really that kind of a rusher, then wow, that's a huge deal.
62:30But if he's not that kind of a rusher, then maybe that's where we see regression.
62:35Uh, Jamie's tier five is Stafford, Purdy, Mahomes, Kyler, Bo Nix, and Jared Goff.
62:39So having Kyler in this mix, whereas Heath has Kyler in a, in a tier with Malik Willis and Baker Mayfield.
62:46So I guess Jamie, I'd say you're showing a little more confidence in Kyler Murray, grouping him with Stafford, Purdy, Mahomes, Nix,
62:53and Goff, as opposed to Jamie grouping Kyler with Malik Willis and Baker Mayfield.
62:57As opposed to Heath doing that. Sorry. Yeah. I, I, you know, I, I go back to Kevin O'Connell and the weapons
63:04that Kyler Murray now has, this is the best group he's ever played with, you know, in terms of complete talent, you know?
63:12So, I mean, on paper, you know, having young Trey McBride with an old DeAndre Hopkins or, you know, young Marvin Harrison
63:19and unproven Michael Wilson with Trey McBride, like, you know, you could sort of look at it a billion different ways, but
63:26I think Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Jawan Jennings, and TJ Hawkinson.
63:29In this offense should hopefully allow Kyler Murray to, you know, play at a very high level.
63:34And if he's healthy and hopefully motivated to get another big deal, because he's, you know, down to his, you know, this
63:41is, I don't know if his last shot, but this is certainly his last, you know, maybe big opportunity to, you know,
63:48be a surefire starter in this league. So I'm just banking on the upside here.
63:53So, you know, if, if you're talking about floor, Bo Nix, Jared Goff certainly have, much safer floors ceiling though.
64:00I think Kyler Murray can get to that 22, 23, 24 point per game range.
64:04Yeah. Yeah. I had Kyler Malik and Mayfield in the same tier because I think they might all three be awesome and they might all three be terrible.
64:13Murray Willis and Mayfield. Yes. This is the, they could be awesome.
64:17They could be just absolutely terrible. I love that.
64:20I love that. Mayfield was off to a really good start last year.
64:24Then he had some injuries and a Buka got injured and Mike Evans got injured and this and that.
64:30Um, and then, but it's not just last year for Mayfield.
64:34Like he has the, like just an insanely wide range of outcomes throughout his career.
64:38All right. Let's get to the next tiers. Then tier six for Heath is to a Stroud, Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold and Cam Ward.
64:46Tier six for Jamie is a, is kind of like tier five ish for Heath Malik Willis, Tyler Shuck, Baker Mayfield and Jordan love.
64:54So I'm just gonna ask a quick Baker Mayfield question here.
64:57Uh, would you guys be comfortable if he was your starting quarterback?
65:01No, not right now. No, but maybe you don't have to do it, but you know, if you were in like a
65:0814 team league, I don't think it's the worst thing.
65:11I think throw Daniel Jones in that equation too.
65:14Right. It's not that hard to see him being awesome again.
65:17He was awesome last year in the same offense.
65:20Right. Do you feel that way or no? No, that's a different offense though.
65:25I'd feel more that way if he had done it for longer, different offense.
65:29Cause it doesn't have pit man. Oh, I'm sorry.
65:32You said Daniel Jones. I thought you meant to make me.
65:36No, no. Um, all right. So, so Malik Willis, Tyler Shuck, Baker Mayfield, Jordan love.
65:40That's a tier for, for Jamie. We get to the kind of deeper guys.
65:45Heath's tier six is to a Stroud, Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold and Cam Ward.
65:49There's also guys like Jacoby Brissett. We could talk about Bryce Young, Aaron Rogers, but for Heath, it's to a Stroud, Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold and Cam Ward.
65:58It had to be something about these five quarterbacks that made them stand out from the Bryce Young's and Geno Smith's and
66:05Aaron Rogers of the world to a Stroud, Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold, Cam Ward.
66:10Yeah, I think. And two is probably the one that stands out the way I'm going to classify this, but I'm pretty
66:17optimistic about him and Stefanski's system with the weapons that he has.
66:20I think he can do the thing that Stefanski wants quarterbacks to do, which is take three steps back and deliver it to somebody who's open.
66:29And he has guys who will be open. So I would say these five quarterbacks, I think they're definitely QB twos.
66:35I wouldn't be surprised if I'm too low on one or two of them.
66:40But mostly it's just I think these five guys are going to start all year and they don't make me want to throw up in my mouth.
66:48And everybody below them does. Okay. Jamie, your thoughts on this last group to a Stroud, Daniel Jones, Darnold and Cam Ward?
66:55I think, you know, these are super flex options.
66:58These are, you know, this is I don't really see like, oh, these are the type of quarterbacks I want to pair
67:05with somebody else because I think there's upset. I think maybe Cam Ward has that.
67:10You know, I'm so annoyed with CJ Stroud's career arc at this point.
67:14It's just very frustrating to see what he did as a rookie and then, you know, just completely falling off every year, almost every year afterwards.
67:22And they continue to give him weapons and hopefully maybe tank Dell being back if he's healthy.
67:28And Jaden Higgins taking a step forward to help Nico Collins makes the best CJ Stroud that we have.
67:34But it just feels like I don't know if it's the system or just whatever it is.
67:39It's just not working for him. But look, Daniel Jones was great last year when healthy.
67:44And, you know, you read the report that he's all systems go.
67:48So that could certainly be the case. Sam Donald really has one weapon at this point that you feel comfortable with.
67:55Cam Ward's really the one that kind of stands out here.
67:58If he can take a leap because of Carnell Tate and Wondell Robinson and Brian Dable's offense, like he did look really
68:05good by comparison to the start of the season in the last four games.
68:10And I hope that guy shows up again. What we have on the screen here is Cam Ward's ranking among 70 rookie quarterbacks since 2000.
68:1870 guys who were passer rating qualified and where Cam Ward ranked.
68:2155th in EPA per expected points added per drop back.
68:2552nd in success rate. 59th in yards per attempt.
68:2750th in touchdown rate. Not bad in completion rate.
68:3031st. Very good. 7th in interception rate. Although I watched tape of him against the Saints and he threw almost through four interceptions in the fourth quarter.
68:39I like the way Thomas put it in the U colors there in the bottom.
68:44Oh, cool. Really? That was nice. But what I would point out about his EPA per drop back, his success rate and his yards per attempt.
68:52They were all 52nd or worse out of 70 rookies since 2000.
68:56Is that for most of it, there's only one quarterback that ranked below him as a rookie that ended up being any good.
69:03Josh Allen? Josh Allen. And so now we have the Brian Dable thing.
69:07Dable's, you know, Titans coordinator now. And that's the guy that helped Josh Allen get his career going.
69:13But most of the guys who had a worse rookie season than Cam Ward, I mean, almost like Bryce Young is the best case scenario.
69:21So it's a little alarming. I think drops were a big part of it.
69:25The offense should be a lot better. But just pointing out he had a really bad rookie.
69:31I would think that like also there were a few stats that Caleb Williams was probably in the neighborhood with him on this as a rookie.
69:39Oh, yes. Completion rate. But not the. OK, I'll tell you.
69:42I'll go right now. Cam Ward. So in EPA, no good quarterback was worse than him.
69:48In success rate. It's not just worse. Like if you're in the neighborhood.
69:52Yeah. I don't know that anyone was really in the neighborhood either.
69:55Success rate. Only Josh Allen was worse in terms of being good.
69:59Yards per attempt. Derek Carr was worse. Touchdown rate.
70:02Carson Wentz, Nick Foles and Trevor Lawrence were worse.
70:05Big play rate. Many quarterbacks. That's not even an important stat.
70:09Many good quarterbacks were bad at big play rate as rookies.
70:12Caleb, I'm not quite sure. Caleb, off target rate.
70:15I didn't have that on here because it's a relatively new stat.
70:19Not every quarterback since 2000 even like has a recorded off target rate.
70:23But Caleb Williams was worse. Josh Allen was worse.
70:26Cam Ward had a bad rookie year. He's got a hell of an arm though.
70:30He can make some phenomenal plays. He was the number one pick.
70:34Don't give up on him. He could be a guy that bucks the trend.
70:39All right. That's it for today's show. Thank you so much for watching and listening.
70:43We will talk to you next time. Tomorrow it's running back tears.

70:56That is literally what he said. And I think the Greek restaurant down the street from me makes a better cheesesteak than what I had.
