1:23Top 6 most confusing wide receiver rooms in the NFL right now on Fantasy Football Today.
1:28All right, we're going to go 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, starting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
1:33The sixth, definitively, the sixth most confusing wide receiver room in the NFL.
1:37How surprised would you be if Mecca Buka were not the best wide receiver for the Bucs this year?
1:43Moderately. I mean, you have a proven guy in Chris Godwin who's had a great track record with Baker Mayfield, and when he's been healthy, he's been awesome.
1:51So, seemingly healthy. Last year coming off the ankle injury, did not perform at the same level that we saw in 2024,
1:58or even at the start of 2025. But, excuse me, 2024, before the injury.
2:02But we know what he's capable of. And so, Buka, great start to his rookie campaign.
2:07Completely fell off a cliff after the first half of the season.
2:11And so, you lose Mike Evans, which is hopefully great for both of those guys, but you add a promising rookie, at
2:17least based on the rookie minicamps, and Ted Hurst.
2:20I don't expect him to do Mike Evans-like things.
2:23I don't expect him to even be better than Buka or Godwin.
2:26But you have Jalen McMillan, you have this young player, they could sort of wreck things for the top two guys.
2:33It's an interesting team because they play a lot.
2:35I know they have a new offensive coordinator again, but they have played a lot of three receiver sets.
2:41So, that means McMillan's going to play a lot unless they change things up.
2:45It could be Hurst. What's that? It could be Hurst.
2:48Yeah. And so, their offensive coordinator is from Atlanta.
2:51Right? Am I confused? Yes, Zach Robinson was with the Falcons last year.
2:55And the Falcons played among the lowest amounts of three receiver sets last year.
2:59So, they were... Take a look at personnel, and that matters.
3:02I mean, the Falcons' receiving core is terrible. Absolutely.
3:05But offensive philosophy, Falcons, 45% of the time had three or more receivers on the field.
3:10The Bucs, 70% of the time. All right. That's number six is Tampa Bay.
3:14Number five is Arizona. Who do you think the best wide receiver on that team is?
3:19I still think it's Marvin Harrison Jr. And I know Michael Wilson did things last season that Harrison Jr.
3:25has yet to accomplish at all in the first two years of his career.
3:29But I also think that Marvin Harrison may have done those things if he was healthy.
3:34So, he got really three games of Marvin Harrison with Jacoby Brissett as the starter.
3:38And he averaged nearly 15 PPR points per game in those three games.
3:42So, Wilson was just amazing when Harrison was not on the field.
3:46Wilson was very pedestrian when Harrison was there, especially when Harrison was healthy.
3:50So, I always liked Michael Wilson as a player.
3:52I didn't think he was capable of being a fantasy performer like we saw last season.
3:57But he's done that now. So, the expectations are raised.
4:00I also think the expectations have been a little out of control.
4:04You know, we talked about this a little bit on the full length episode Thursday.
4:08Like, Keith said he has Ashton Gentry fatigue, I think it was, or PTSD.
4:12You know, drafting Gentry too high in regards to Jeremiah Love.
4:16We did the same thing with Marvin Harrison Jr.
4:18when he was coming into the NFL. Like, this is going to be a superstar wide receiver.
4:24They needed somebody desperately in this receiving core. And he just hasn't done that yet.
4:28But now he has a chance, I think, to sort of live up to the expectations that were out of whack.
4:34And hopefully perform at the level that he was doing, if not better, with the small sample size he had with Chicago reset.
4:41So, for me, it's Marvin Harrison. Yeah, and Harrison, look, Michael Wilson played better than Harrison has played in his entire career.
4:48In the second half of the season, Michael Wilson did.
4:51But, just what I think it's overlooked is that Marvin Harrison Jr., you look at weeks 1 through 10.
4:57That's when he was healthy. Except for the Colts game in week 6.
5:01He played about 20% of the snaps. So, weeks 1 through 10, removing the Colts game.
5:05In those games, Marvin Harrison Jr., get ready for this.
5:08He averaged over 40. He played more than 20% of the snaps.
5:12Played less than 20% of the snaps, sorry. Oh.
5:15In the Colts game. He left that game with an injury.
5:18But other than that, he averaged over 14 fantasy points per game.
5:22It might really shock people, but he was actually having a very good year.
5:26It was an inconsistently good year, though. And he had that huge game on Monday Night Football against the Cowboys, who were the best matchup.
5:33That inflated the numbers. But he was doing pretty well.
5:36And then, you know, not so much. And in those games, those healthy games for Marvin Harrison, he had 60 targets and Michael Wilson had 33.
5:44He had a 23% target share. Michael Wilson, 12 and a half.
5:48All right. Next up, we have the Chicago Bears.

6:42Number six was Tampa Bay. Number five was Arizona.
6:45Number four most confusing wide receiver room is Chicago.
6:48Jamie, you're not taking it. That's confusing with DJ Moore and his 85 targets leaving the building, going to Buffalo.
6:54So hopefully that's a big boost for Luther Burden and Romo Dunze.
6:57And it's funny that the fantasy community, the fantasy industry, people that do what we do, are rushing to draft Luther Burden
7:04and sort of settling for Romo Dunze. I want both, or at least one of the two.
7:09You know, I think you look at Burden and Klu, what's a love about his advanced metrics and what he's, you know,
7:16showed in the small sample size when Odundze was still injured last year, really before Colston Loveland took off at the end of the season.
7:23He has the opportunity and the ability. And this was a guy that, you know, this coaching staff targeted as opposed to
7:30the previous one, which took Romo Dunze in the first round.
7:33But obviously Burden is the one that I think that takes the biggest leap.
7:37Well, Dunze, however, last year, if you, you know, most people hopefully recall, started the season and was having a breakout season.
7:44It was looking like a superstar, scoring a bunch of touchdowns, and then suffered this foot injury and was never the same type of player.
7:52So you remove DJ Moore and hopefully just concentrated targets for all three of their top pass catchers with Colston Loveland working in the mix.
7:59I'm looking at Luther Burden in round four. I'm looking at Romo Dunze in round five.
8:04There shouldn't be much separation between the two. Again, I'll buy into the potential upside of Luther Burden.
8:09But if I have to quote unquote settle for Romo Dunze, I'm perfectly fine with that.
8:14Number three is Jacksonville. And this one is really confusing because you have to buy into Parker Washington basically doing very little
8:21for most of his career and then finishing 2025 on an absolute tear.
8:25Jacoby Myers is always steady. Brian Thomas Jr. has had a very puzzling start to his career.
8:30Incredible as a rookie, invisible as a sophomore. So Jacksonville is number three, Jamie.
8:34Yeah, it is confusing. We talked about this a little bit in the toughest players to rank.
8:39In the case for me, it comes down to what does my roster look like?
8:44Because all four of their receivers, let's not forget Travis Hunter, all four of their receivers are basically 40 or below in my rankings, starting with Thomas.
8:52And the reason I have Thomas first is because I think he still offers the most upside.
8:57So if I love my first three or four receivers and I'm talking about a bench option that just hopefully will hit
9:03and maybe crack my starting lineup or turn into trade bait, Thomas is that guy.
9:08If I sort of like my receivers, but I know I need somebody that may have to work in because I'm taking
9:15somebody that's coming off an injury or somebody like a Luther Burden who is unproven, I'm looking at Washington and Myers in
9:21that order because I do think that Washington is a guy that Trevor Lawrence seemingly trusts.
9:26And I feel like still offers a little bit more upside in this offense than Jacoby Myers does.
9:31Like you said, Myers is safe. His best years have come when he's been the solo act or at least, you know,
9:38the featured guy in the offense that he played in those years in New England, the year plus in Las Vegas after they moved on from Devante Adams.
9:46So I think those two are relatively safe. Again, I'll lean Washington slightly over Myers.
9:51They're back to back my rankings. But if I'm looking for the highest upside to me, that's Brian Thomas.
9:57Travis Hunter is just a late round flyer. All right, Jamie.
10:00We've got two more. Tampa Bay, six. Arizona, five.
10:03Chicago, four. Jacksonville, three. Hey, Las Vegas is number two.
10:06Why are they so confusing? Because we don't know who it's going to be.
10:10You know, the last two are just complete mysteries at this point.
10:14In the case of Las Vegas, you have their most proven guy is Trey Tucker.
10:18And that's not a very lengthy track record. So they signed Jalen Naylor.
10:22They have Jack Besch, who they drafted last year, I believe in the third round.
10:26So you're looking at three guys that have not done really much of anything on this offense, which is why I think
10:33you should really fall in love with Brock Bowers.
10:36But it's a rookie quarterback, at least hopefully the majority of the season.
10:40I hope it's not a washed up Kirk Cousins for more than maybe a couple of games.
10:45And so there's a little bit of trepidation, obviously, with the quarterback play.
10:49But for me, I'm going to lean Tucker slightly over Naylor.
10:52Those are the two that I would look to target with late round picks.
10:56Besch is slightly after that. We recently had a mock draft live on the air.
11:01Jake Seeley was on with us from The Athletic.
11:03He made the case for Besch because, again, you're looking at, you know, dart throws.
11:08And, again, this is a guy that was drafted to be part of this roster as opposed to inheriting Tucker and signing
11:15Naylor and not signing Naylor to a big deal.
11:17So I get that theory as well. So I think it just, you know, you get to the end of your draft,
11:24one of these guys is probably going to be in the 100 target range.
11:28If you guess right, you may get a borderline number four receiver.
11:32I just don't think there's much upside. So who's number one?
11:35Folks out there going, hmm, maybe it's a team with good wide receivers.
11:39We don't know who's going to be the best one.
11:42Now, it's nothing like that at all. It's Miami.
11:45Maybe they have good wide receivers, but right now it looks pretty barren.
11:49So what's your take on the Miami Dolphins receiving core?
11:52Yeah, we probably could have done this with Cleveland too.
11:55Not number one. You know, just who's the best guy there.
11:58We probably could have done it with – there's one other team I was thinking of.
12:03We talked about Dallas possibly being on this list.
12:05Because week seven when CeeDee Lamb came back, week through 17, Lamb had only six more targets.
12:11They had – Pickens had two more catches. Pickens had 44 more yards.
12:14They had the same amount of touchdowns. Pickens was better than Lamb from week seven through 17.
12:20We talked about that, but now I'll give you all you need to know there.
12:24But the Dolphins, someone's going to have to catch passes there, Jamie, other than Devon Achan.
12:29I don't know, man. I really don't know. You know, they drafted three wide receivers, not anyone in the first or second round.
12:36Caleb Douglas was the first guy that they drafted.
12:39Kevin Coleman Jr. and Chris Bell. Also, Bell would be an easy one to gravitate toward just based on what he did at Louisville.
12:46But he's coming off a torn ACL, so we just don't know how healthy he's going to be.
12:51And then the three veterans that they – or two veterans that they added and one that's a holdover, Malik Washington.
12:58But they add Jalen Tolbert and they add Tutu Atwell.
13:01Again, you know, if you followed the NFL, you know the history of those two guys.
13:05Not exactly the best of playmakers. So, as of now, I would probably look at Tolbert as the one that has the
13:12chance to be sort of the boring but maybe most productive because he's the one that's been spending time throwing with Malik Willis so far.
13:19My hope would be is that Jeff Bell is healthy early in the season and then he takes over midpoint of the
13:26year and could be a borderline number three fantasy receiver.
13:29He would be the one that I would draft first.
13:32Atwell will make some plays. Malik Washington will make some plays.
13:35I think Caleb Douglas is a little undervalued because he got such a terrible draft grade.
13:40I know our – I think it was Mike Renner who was doing the draft grades for us at that point.
13:47You know, really did not like the pick. I think he called it the biggest reach of the draft at that point.
13:53And that's probably fair just based on what the pedigree is.
13:56But clearly the Dolphins liked him. From what I heard, a lot of people around the league liked him.
14:02And then Coleman's one of those guys that could be a high reception guy.
14:06But look, this offense has got a lot of question marks.
14:10And the receiving corps is the biggest one. So we'll have to keep a close eye on this in training camp and
14:16see who steps forward and who are the guys lining up.
14:20And hopefully Chris Bell just keeps making progress. He's pretty exciting, at least in terms of his profile as a rookie.
