A.J. Brown

PositiveBreakout28:33

AJ Brown is having a phenomenal training camp and is considered a top-tier wide receiver option for the back end of the first round.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout67:03

AJ Brown is reportedly having another monster training camp, with the source expressing high excitement about his potential performance.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveValue65:39

The source reminds drafters not to forget about Brock Bowers and Michael McBride when considering tight end options in the middle rounds.

Insight page

Bryce Lance

NegativeDepth Chart43:20

Bryce Lance is taking advantage of the absences of Jordan Tyson and Devon Vele, but it is difficult to project him making a significant fantasy impact despite his talent.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveValue62:04

CeeDee Lamb is recommended as a first-round pick at 10th overall, as he is unlikely to be available in the second round.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue61:43

The source prefers Chase Brown over Christian McCaffrey, noting he is a target in the second round of drafts, potentially available around pick 14 in a 12-team format.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeValue17:07

Colston Loveland is identified as a late round 3 pick in the source's current draft rankings.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

NegativeBreakout39:28

Cyrus Allen is having a good training camp, but it is unclear if he will be a fantasy-relevant player or simply a depth piece that complicates the target distribution for other Chiefs receivers.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveValue63:16

The source identifies DJ Moore as a preferred target in the middle of the fourth round, noting he is taken ahead of consensus rankings.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeUsage36:50

The source expresses hesitation about bumping DeAndre Swift up in rankings, noting that while Kamara and Menongai are currently injured, they are not out for the season and could return early, potentially impacting Swift's early-season workload.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

PositiveUsage13:36

Dalton Schultz receives a bump in rankings and production potential following the injury to Jaden Higgins. The source expects Schultz to return to his previous target volume of over 100 targets, moving him from TE18-19 to TE15.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

PositiveProjection17:28

Daniel Jones is receiving positive buzz for his preseason performance, with the source suggesting he could have a strong start to the season.

Insight page
NegativeProjection40:58

Daniel Jones is reportedly having a good camp, but his fantasy value remains tied to his mobility following his torn Achilles. While he could be a viable late-round quarterback option, the position is currently so deep that he is likely not worth dropping a drafted starter for.

Insight page

Davante Adams

NegativeProjection4:00

Davante Adams is viewed as a quality player but not a top-24 receiver due to a crowded position and a decline in receptions and yards. While he is unlikely to repeat his 14-touchdown performance, he is still considered a viable pick in the top half of drafts, with the source projecting him as a round 5 value.

Insight page
PositiveValue56:00

Davante Adams is a strong value at his current ADP (late 4th/early 5th round). Despite age concerns, he maintained a high target-per-route-run rate last year and is in a favorable position to produce as a WR24 or better.

Insight page
PositiveUsage60:24

Davante Adams had an 81.2% catchable target rate, ranking 70th out of 78 wide receivers with 50+ targets, highlighting a disconnect between him and Matthew Stafford last season.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveValue41:35

The source considers Drake May a strong target late in round five, arguing that his upside as a quarterback outweighs the value of running backs in a timeshare like Bucky Irving or Jadarian Price.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveValue64:11

The source discusses taking Jahmyr Gibbs at 1.01, suggesting a balanced approach of running back and wide receiver at the 2/3 turn in 10-team leagues rather than double-tapping running backs.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveValue3:55

Javante Williams is considered undervalued given his performance last year as RB12, despite finishing the season on limited snaps. He is currently being drafted as RB15-18, which the source finds baffling given his status as a lead back with little competition in a potentially strong offense.

Insight page
PositiveValue52:20

Javante Williams is a strong value pick in the late third or early fourth round. Despite a poor second half last season, he was an RB8 per game in the first eight weeks and is expected to dominate goal-line opportunities for the Cowboys.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveValue41:35

Jaden Daniels is identified as a high-upside quarterback target late in round five, preferred over committee-based running backs.

Insight page

Jayden Higgins

NegativeInjury12:33

Jaden Higgins is out for the season with a torn ACL, which is described as a tough blow, though the source notes he only had 68 targets last year.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeUsage64:00

Jayden Reed is expected to be a key part of the Packers' offense, though he may see slightly less playing time in 12-personnel sets compared to other receivers.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveUsage65:47

Jalen Waddle is receiving positive buzz after a strong practice performance, including a 60-yard touchdown catch against Patrick Surtain, following a period of missed time.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeInjury54:03

Ian Rapoport reports that Jalen Warren is expected to miss one week due to a minor groin injury.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

PositiveValue41:35

Joe Burrow is highlighted as a target late in round five, with the source preferring his potential output over the depth-chart uncertainty of mid-round running backs.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveValue61:56

The source recommends taking Jonathan Taylor without hesitation if drafting from the seventh position in a 10-team league.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeProjection44:06

Kyler Murray has shown some sluggishness and flaws in Kevin O'Connell's offense during joint practices, though he remains a fantasy asset due to his rushing ability.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveValue63:59

Matthew Golden is considered one of the biggest steals in drafts due to his role in the Packers' offense, where he is expected to be on the field frequently alongside Christian Watson and Jayden Reed.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury6:38

Mike Evans is specifically noted as an older player who carries an 'injury card' concern, having been injured in each of the last two seasons.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage59:53

Parker Washington is receiving significant positive buzz in Jacksonville, with the source noting he is considered 'their guy' in the offense.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeValue3:52

The source questions why Rasheed Rice is being drafted as a round 3 pick, citing concerns over his knee, potential off-field issues, and a perceived sluggishness in camp. Additionally, the change to Eric Bieniemy's offense may not cater to Rice's strengths in downfield opportunities, leading to Nico Collins being moved ahead of him in rankings.

Insight page
PositiveValue47:14

Rasheed Rice is currently being drafted as the WR13, which is a value given his production over his last 17 healthy games (18+ PPR points per game). Despite concerns regarding his knee and off-field issues, he remains the primary target for Patrick Mahomes and has top-five potential.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveDepth Chart59:37

Terrence Ferguson is being moved up in rankings as he is expected to be the third pass-catcher for the Rams, particularly in 13-personnel sets, making him a key player to monitor if Puka Nakua or Davante Adams miss time.

Insight page
PositiveRole59:54

The source is moving Terrence Ferguson up in rankings, identifying him as the Rams' third pass catcher. He is expected to be the primary pass-catching option in 13 personnel sets, filling the role Colby Parkinson held last year.

Insight page

Tua Tagovailoa

NegativeRole43:53

Tua Tagovailoa struggled in a recent practice and had a poor preseason, leading to concerns about his job security despite the expectation that he will start the season as the starter.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

NegativeInjury16:41

Tyler Warren is downgraded from a round 4 pick to a round 5 pick due to a groin injury and the signing of Keenan Allen. He is now tiered closer to players like LaPorta, Kraft, and Pitts.

Insight page
PositiveValue40:35

Tyler Warren is identified as a great pick at the 5-6 turn, with the source suggesting he is a viable option for managers looking to secure tight end value outside of the top-tier names.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveUsage61:33

The source has become more optimistic about Wan'Dale Robinson, noting he is a PPR 'cheat code' who should see high target volume, even if yardage and touchdown totals remain modest.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveValue63:01

The source notes a strong possibility that Zay Flowers will be available at the back end of the third round for those picking 10th, and he is a high-priority target for the analysts.

2:19Let's talk about how to draft from picks 10 through 12.
2:23We got two, 1 through 9 yesterday. We'll do 10 through 12 today.
2:27And I want to discuss some players where the ADP just doesn't make sense to me right now.
2:32How can Rasheed Rice be a round 3 pick?
2:35Where's the respect for Javante Williams, what he did last year, and the lack of competition in Dallas?
2:40And Javante Adams. I mean, what else has this got?
2:43Jamie, let me give you a list of wide receivers who got injured last year.
2:48Because, oh, he's 33. He's obviously going to get hurt.
2:51Based on ADP, last year's ADP, here are some wide receivers who missed three games or more in 2025.
2:56Malik Nabors, Brian Thomas Jr., and he played hurt.
2:59Drake London, Tyreek Hill, Terry McLaurin, Mike Evans, Devontae Adams, Garrett Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr., Xavier Worthy.
3:04We've got four guys on that list. That's 10 of the top 23 wide receivers last year, by the way.
3:10He was not. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You can keep going down the list.
3:14But those were 10 of the top 23 wide receivers drafted last year.
3:18Four of them, at least four, Neighbors, BTJ, Marvin Harrison Jr., Xavier Worthy.
3:22Yeah, those four. They were year two guys. And I'm just saying, if you're going to play the injury card against Devontae
3:29Adams, I'm going to understand young guys get hurt all the time.
3:32Tyler Warren got hurt yesterday. James, I'm so sick of the injuries, by the way.
3:37Are people? Yeah, me too. Are people playing the injury card with Devontae Adams?
3:41I think they're playing the age card. It's like, oh, he's old.
3:45I don't know if they're playing. I think people think old guys get hurt.
3:49Well. If you're playing that card. I haven't really heard that one, but I certainly can see the old card being played.
3:56I don't know if the injury card being played.
3:58I think if there's an injury card being attached to an older player, it's probably Mike Evans.
4:03Yeah. Who's been injured each of the last two years.
4:06I think for me, in the case of Adams, it's the lack of receptions and yards.
4:11You know, so there was a big decline there.
4:14And asking him to score 14 touchdowns again is nearly impossible.
4:17Now, can he be north of eight? I think that's realistic, which is why he's in still around five pick for me.
4:24But he's not a top 24 receiver, mostly because the position I feel like is very crowded.
4:29And so you hear me say this a lot.
4:32Once you get to like wide receiver 18, 19, 20, like through 30-ish, it's still a number two receiver.
4:37You know, so I don't want to reach for Devontae Adams, but I still think that Adams is a quality player worth
4:44taking in the top half of the draft. Yeah, for sure.
4:47I mean, the funny thing is I totally understand all of the ADP.
4:51The point of this, of talking about Rasheed Rice, Javante Williams, and Devontae Adams, is that they are going a lot lower than where they finished last year.
5:00Devontae Adams was wide receiver nine per game last year.
5:03He's being drafted basically 23rd. Javante Williams, RB 15 on NFC right now, 18 on CBS, 16 on Fantasy Pros.
5:09He was RB 12 last year. And that was playing the last three games basically on limited snaps.
5:14He's the one that's weird here because there's reasons to be concerned about the other two.
5:19I don't know what the reason to be concerned about Rasheed Rice is.
5:23It's got to be the knee. If it's not the knee, I don't know what it is.
5:28Well, I think it's a few things. You know, so the minor thing for me, and this is not usually something that
5:34would be minor, is the change in offense. Because Eric Bien-Ami's offense, I don't think necessarily – what Eric Bien-Ami brings to
5:41the offense, I don't think necessarily caters to what Rasheed Rice does best, which is a little bit more downfield opportunities and downfield throws.
5:48And so maybe some things have changed with Taekwon Thornton getting hurt yesterday and Cyrus Allen's performance.
5:53But I think that Rice is going to have to do a little bit of a – perform in a little bit
6:00of a different way because obviously it's still Andy Reid's system and it's Patrick Mahomes.
6:04But I do think that the knee has to be taken into account.
6:08The concern about any off-field problems has to be taken into account.
6:12And then when you've seen him in anything sort of shown, you know, clips, whatever, there's clearly some positives.
6:18But it's been like a little sluggish, you know, looking – maybe, you know, you want to just tie that to the end.
6:25I don't know if that's where you're going. But like it hasn't looked great.
6:29And so when you start to compare him to some of these other guys – so like I'll just give an example.
6:35We're going to talk about Jaden Higgins. I moved Nico Collins ahead of Rasheed Rice because I think there's so much upside for Nico Collins now.
6:43Now Rice has so much upside also. But I think when you start to weigh the downside for those two guys, I
6:50give a slight edge to Nico at this point.
6:53So the Javante one, which is why I say it's weird, is like what has gotten worse for him?
6:58Yeah, exactly. That's the one I just don't get.
7:01Like you could say Rice this, this, this. You could say Adams older and, you know, lack of a couple of, you know, performance metrics.
7:08For Javante, it's like, hmm, this team feels like it could be really, really good.
7:13And he's still the lead running back with not a lot of competition.
7:17Yeah. All right. So we'll get into that a little bit later.
7:20Let's do some news and notes, and then we'll talk about it.
7:24I want to leave – By the way, you owe me big time for something I did for yesterday.
7:30Okay. I look forward to hearing about this. I shouldn't say owe me big time.
7:34You owe me. It was a small thing, but you owe me.
7:38Okay. Okay, good. I love owing people. My favorite thing.
7:41But let's get into the news and notes brought to you by Stitch Fix.
7:45If you're like me and clothes shopping isn't your thing, Stitch Fix has you covered.
7:50And get $20 off your first order at stitchfix.com slash football.
7:53All right. Jaden Higgins out for the season with a torn ACL.
7:57That is a tough blow. Jalen Knoll has been dealing with hamstring and finger injuries, but he'll be back.
8:02And Tank Dell still working his way back from the – tearing everything that ends in L in his knee two years ago.
8:09So, yeah, this stinks for Higgins, but what impact does it have?
8:13You already mentioned moving Nico over Rasheed Rice. What else?
8:16Dalton Schultz. I mean, you know, he was great last year.
8:19And the thing about Schultz is he had over 100 targets last season.
8:23He basically averaged about 85 targets in the previous two or three years in Houston.
8:27So bump up for him in the rankings and bump up for him in production potential.
8:32You know, he was a solid, you know, waiver wire addition for fantasy managers last year.
8:37So he went from about like tight end 18-19 for me to tight end 15.
8:42And you could certainly make a case that he could be better than the two guys I have in front of him.
8:48I don't think I'll put him ahead of Goddard or Kelsey or Kittle unless Kittle is going to miss a significant time.
8:55But when you compare him to Andrews and Kincaid, who are tight ends 13 and 14, Schultz coming off a better season.
9:01Now target opportunity is there. And so he's firmly entrenched if he wasn't already, but he's firmly entrenched in the greater late
9:08conversation as one of the later guys. So both he and Juwan Johnson, two veterans who finished last year on a high
9:15note, get bounce back potential because of injuries. Okay.
9:17It's important to know that we only had 70, we only had 68 targets from Jaden Higgins last year.
9:23And it's not like Dalton Schultz was, was great.
9:26He was wide receiver 14 per tight end 14 per game.
9:29So, you know what I'm saying? It's like, I understand like it's not as bad for Schultz because Higgins was expected to
9:36take a jump, but Higgins did very little last year.
9:3968 targets in a full season. And we had 106 targets for Dalton Schultz.
9:43I think he gets back to that. Yeah. Yeah.
9:46Only three touchdowns. I mean, you can tell me a guy's going to get 106 targets.
9:50I think I'd like his chances to finish better than tight end 14.
9:54Maybe not much better, but better. All right. That's the Jaden Higgins news.
9:58Carnell Tate mispracticed, but it seems minor. Sam Laporta mispracticed.
10:01I don't think that's anything major, but Tyler Warren left with a groin injury.
10:05ESPN reported that initial, you know, initial valuation. It's not serious for Tyler Warren.
10:10Any thoughts on this? I bumped him down a couple of spots, mostly because of the combination of this and Keenan Allen signing.
10:17So not spots in the tight end rankings, just in the, in the top 200.
10:21So he was a, a player with the Alec Pierce injury that I was considering middle of round four.
10:27So Colston Loveland was a late round three pick for me.
10:30Tyler Warren middle of round four. Now I put Tyler Warren back in round five.
10:35Okay. But he's definitely closer to, so my last tears update, I had Loveland and Warren in the same tier.
10:41Warren is now closer to Laporta craft pits for me because of this injury and Keenan Allen.
10:46Okay. Yeah. By the way, we've got to talk about Daniel Jones.
10:49We're going to also going to talk about guys who are getting some buzz.
10:53Daniel Jones apparently having a very good preseason. I feel like that could be one of those things where he goes out
11:00week one, has a nice gate, has like a good game.
11:03We're like, oh, you know, he's probably just going to be good again.
11:07But we'll see. It's such a deep position. There's value everywhere.
11:11DK Metcalf's been out for a little while, but he says he'll be ready for week one.
11:16Michael Pittman, same thing. Jacksonville guard Patrick McCurry is going to miss time.
11:20He's having back surgery. He hasn't been practicing. I think they've been prepared for this.
11:24He hasn't been practicing all camp. He was a starter last year, though.
11:28And the Jaguars might not have a great offensive line.
11:31Might have a bad offensive line, depending on who you ask.
11:34Washington running back Rashad White mispracticed. Tampa Bay defensive tackle Vita Bayan.
11:38Yeah, sorry, by the way. Which one? Rashad White.
11:41No. So there was a, according to a guy that I trust, Ben Standick, who covers the commanders, there was a report
11:47somebody sent out that he got hurt doing the ice bucket challenge.
11:51So if you watch the video of him doing the ice bucket challenge, he kind of jumps up after he gets the ice water dumped on him.
11:59And it looks like he slips. Oh, no. He runs toward the camera and falls off and slips.
12:04And somebody was insinuating that that's why he got hurt.
12:07But most of the people who cover the team, and I trust Ben, say no.
12:12Okay. And Vita Bayan signed an extension, and the Seahawks want some cornerback depth.
12:16They're going to sign Trayvon Diggs, and they still plan to sign Terry and Arnold.
12:21Any other news items? Did I miss anything? No.
12:23You got the big one. Okay. And we want to thank Stitch Fix for sponsoring today's news and notes.
12:29Stitch Fix takes the hassle out of clothes shopping.
12:32Just take a quick style quiz, share your size, share your vibe and your budget, and you'll be matched with a real
12:38human stylist who will send you a first fix with clothes that fit and make sense for your life.
12:44Stop shopping and get styled today at stitchfix.com slash football to get $20 off your first order.
12:49That is stitchfix.com slash football. All right. What do we got today?
12:53We got the stupid tennis match. I just want to get this over with.
12:57But I think the plan is to mic us up for the entire match, which I was unaware of.
13:03Oh, that's going to be amazing. And I was like, do you know the things I say during a tennis match?
13:09You should listen. This is your moment to let everything go.
13:12You've been clogging our feed, clogging our shows, clogging everything with this tennis stuff.
13:16And now you just get to be free. Let it all out.
13:20Be loose. Just flush it all out, you know?
13:23Flush it all out. I said that the match is starting at 4.30.
13:27There is some rain in the forecast, so I think we're going to try to start closer to 4.
13:32It'll be at youtube.com slash fantasy football today. Dave and Jamie will be commentating.
13:37And 4-ish Eastern. I don't know exactly when we'll start.
13:40But if you are into it, be ready at 4 o'clock.
13:43Now, more importantly, if you want to co-manage a league with us, there are now four opportunities to do that in the FFT Open.
13:50I am going to be in the Rich Rebar division.
13:53Dan is in the John Daigle division. Heath is in the Joey Wright division.
13:57Dave is in the Gary Davenport division. And the way I understand it, if you sign up for one of those divisions,
14:04that's Rich Rebar, John Daigle, Joey Wright, Gary Davenport.
14:07If you sign up for one of those divisions, we're going to choose a team at random to co-manage with one of us.
14:14Me, Dan, Heath, and Dave. So, a little incentive.
14:16We're trying to sell. We got about 40 spots left.
14:19It would be so cool if we can sell out every FFT Open spot.
14:23The drafts are supposed to start on Monday. By the way, if you haven't accepted your invite, you have got to do it.
14:30At some point, we might have to remove you.
14:33So, please, if you haven't accepted your invite, do it.
14:36If you're like, I never got my invite, email me.
14:39Email fantasyfootballatcbsi.com. Let me know. That's the letter I.
14:42Fantasyfootballatcbsi.com. But we got to get everybody in the league.
14:45We have some people who haven't joined yet. Please join so I can randomize the draft order and get everything set up for you.
14:52Auction items are closing tonight, as I mentioned. And Dave is going to Las Vegas.
14:57I wanted to promote it for him. I don't know exactly what it is or what to say.
15:02And he's at the Giants-Dolphins joint practice today. So, reach out to Dave on Twitter.
15:06Or you can email him. What's his email address that he always gives out?
15:11Like drichardatcbs.com or something? Yeah. You can email him drichardatcbs.com.
15:14If you're going to be in Las Vegas this week, he'll be there doing cool fantasy football stuff.
15:19All right. Jamie, picks 10 through 12. I'm going to share my screen here.
15:23How to draft from this spot. So, this was a half PPR three receiver league that we did.
15:29We talked about it all yesterday with picks one through nine.
15:32But wide receivers start to come into play at the end here.
15:36In fact, two of the three picks at 10, 11, 12 are Lamb, Jefferson, their wide receivers.
15:41And then we had James Cook who fell a little bit to pick 12.
15:45Derrick Henry went ahead of him at pick 10.
15:48He was a half PPR, pick nine rather, half PPR league.
15:51But is this the right time for Lamb and Jefferson or any other wide receivers?
15:55Because Drake London went 13th. He obviously could have been a first-round pick.
15:59I mean, I mentioned this so you can read a little bit more in depth if you want some other perspective on it from a PPR draft.
16:07But I think the draft, just to kind of tie in yesterday's show, is sort of very segmented.
16:13Now, we have seen a little change in average draft position where Christian McCaffrey and Jonathan Taylor have kind of crept into this range ahead of two receivers.
16:21I think it's ahead of JSN and ahead of St.
16:24Brown in PPR. Now, that might change when we get a lot of drafts this weekend.
16:29McCaffrey might slip a little bit if he's still not practicing.
16:32So, just keep an eye on the potential changes.
16:35But I do think we're going to see in the first 10 picks, first nine picks, four running backs and at least four running backs and four receivers.
16:43So, probably five running backs and four receivers would be my guess.
16:47I think what we'll end up seeing is when you get to the back end of round one.
16:53So, Henry went here in half PPR. Most likely, you'll see Chase Brown in round one based on ADP.
16:58That's what we're seeing. James Cook probably a little bit higher.
17:02And then one of potentially Gentty or A-chan will go in round one also.
17:06So, then you start to see the receivers come into play.
17:09I really think the only two that should go are Lamb and Jefferson because I think AJ Brown is having a phenomenal camp.
17:16Had another great day of practice. Joint practice yesterday against the Eagles.
17:20No surprise there. I'm sure he wanted to put on a show.
17:23London should still be fine. I know there's questions about his quarterback.
17:27Understandably so. Now, you have Nico Collins, Chris Olave benefiting from injuries.
17:30You have George Pickens coming off a strong season.
17:33We'll talk about Rashi Rice, where he belongs. Malik Nabors, Devontae Smith.
17:37You can make cases for those guys to be maybe in round two, back into round two.
17:42It's a very deep position. The running back depth dries out quickly.
17:45So, I am not fully advocating for running back, running back.
17:49But I'm very much in the camp of you can go running back, running back at the back end of round one.
17:55So, Lamb and Jefferson would be the only ones that you should take.
17:59And if you do that, again, from a strategy standpoint, think about the running backs that will be available at the end of round three.
18:07So, now we have Travis Achan. Now we have DeAndre Swift.
18:10You still have that trio of guys that could fall.
18:13Kyron Williams, Josh Jacobs, Jeremiah Love. I think they're all going to be in that range back into round three.
18:19Brees Hall is going to be there early part of round four.
18:23Back into round three. Javante Williams. Javante Williams. It's not bad.
18:26It's really not bad at all. I mean, there's some good running backs there.
18:30So, if you don't want to go running back, running back, and you want to lock up maybe two wide receivers.
18:36So, you want to go maybe Lamb and Jefferson.
18:39You want to go Jefferson and London. Lamb and A.J.
18:42Brown. You're still going to potentially get two good running backs also.
18:46So, I think format matters, but also looking at the running backs and how comfortable you feel with, let's say, Ken Walker, Omarian Hampton, those type of guys.
18:54All right. We're going to take a break here.
18:57I'm going to tell you why I think this is a great spot in the draft, in a 12-team league, to be picking 10 through 12.
19:05Like, I'd rather have an early pick, but I think there's a lot of really great opportunities here and a lot of
19:11flexibility here as well from picks 10 through 12.
19:14We'll be right back on Fantasy Football today. My companion for this summer season has been Z-Biotics.
19:19Z-Biotics. Let me tell you why. Just headed out to a concert at Pier 17.
19:24Howl Mouth. What a show. I got home at 3 a.m., and I realized 8 a.m.
19:28tea time? What am I going to do? I got a big match.
19:32No worries at all. I took Z-Biotics the night before, had a few drinks, woke up the next day like nothing happened,
19:39got to that course at 7 a.m., warmed up, and won my match.
19:43Z-Biotics pre-alcohol probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic.

20:13This summer, my wife and I took my parents, our son, and our granddaughter on a trip to Montana.
20:19Coming from South Florida, it was such a change of pace.
20:22We spent our days exploring Glacier National Park, taking in the incredible mountain views, spotting wildlife, and doing some easy hikes to waterfalls and scenic overlooks.
20:30It was amazing being surrounded by mountains and cooler weather, something we just don't get at home.
20:35We also checked out some local restaurants, tried a few Montana favorites like Huckleberry desserts, and really enjoyed slowing down and spending quality time together.
20:43But while we were off exploring somewhere new, our home was just sitting empty.
20:47That's when I realized while we're away, we could list our space on Airbnb.
20:51It feels like a smart and practical way to bring in some extra cash, especially when there is a high demand in
20:58our area for things like concerts, games, or festivals.
21:00It turns an empty house into an easy opportunity while you enjoy your own time off.
21:05It can even help offset some of the cost of your next trip.
21:09Your home might be worth more than you think.
21:12Find out how much at airbnb.com slash host. Hey, before we jump back into the show, let's take a quick break.
21:18But not just any break. This is a refreshing break with Snapple.
21:22We all know about Snapple's iconic real facts. So let's take a minute to go over some of my faves.
21:28Snapple real fact, 1-9-8-3. The first player drafted to play pro football never played in the league.
21:33Snapple real fact, 1-1-1-9. The Grand Canyon could hold about 900 trillion footballs.
21:37Snapple real fact, 2-0-6-4. The first college football game broadcast on TV was on September 30th, 1939.
21:42Snapple real fact, 1-8-9-6. The tradition of playing football on Thanksgiving originated with college football in 1876.
21:47So grab a Snapple, take a second, and enjoy the moment.
21:50Because let's be honest, this might be the most refreshing part of your day.
21:54Snapple, make your break more interesting. All right, now let's get back to the show.
21:59Yeah, I mean, I think when you talk about rounds three and four and that turn, like you said, we just named
22:06all those running backs that could be available, whether it's Love, Jacobs, Hall, Kyron, Etienne, HN.
22:10If he's there, he'll be there. If you want to bump DeAndre Swift up, I'd be a little hesitant because it's not
22:17like Kamara and Menongai are out for the season or anything.
22:20They could be back very early in the season.
22:23But fine, those guys belong there. Javante Williams. And then you've got, you know, Abuka.
22:28Just stop there because I think it's important to put those guys in the mix.
22:32So if you do go wide receiver, wide receiver, right?
22:35Because I think that's the only way I think you're taking both two of those guys in that group.
22:41No, I wasn't saying take two of them. I'm just saying that they're all there.
22:45I'm just saying it does make some sense if you go wide receiver, wide receiver to come back and take those two
22:52running backs unless you just love, you know, let's say Zay Flowers falls like you did here or Garrett Wilson, whoever the case may be.
22:59I think you got to put it into context of when you start to look at that group, right?
23:05Is that group safer than Judkins, Scadaboo, Dave Montgomery, Bucky Irving?
23:08Because one of those guys may slip to the next round.
23:12And so if you take a receiver again or tight end because Loveland's going to be in play and in some drafts,
23:18well, not some drafts, every draft, quarterback's going to be in play, you know, one of the top five.
23:24So when you're thinking about what your strategy might be, do you love the upside of Travis HN?
23:29Do you love the upside of DeAndre Swift? Because to your point, yes, those other guys are injured.
23:35They're not out for the season, but they might miss a good portion of the season, at least an early portion of
23:41the season, where the starter and the better player, in my opinion, can get off to an amazing start.
23:47Yeah, yeah, right. No, I feel that. So I think my point is if you have picks 10 through 12, I think
23:54it really sets you up to do whatever the hell you want.
23:57Personally, I wouldn't take two receivers because I really want to get one of the top 12 running backs.
24:03And I'm totally like pumped about the group of Abuka and Flowers, hoping that Devontae Smith falls there or something like that.
24:10But if not, you still have McConkie and Garrett Wilson and McMillan or whatever, whoever you like in that range.
24:16I'm fine with the wide receivers there, but I think you can do whatever you want.
24:20I think if you have picks 10 through 12, realistically, you're probably not getting Bowers or McBride.
24:26If one of them falls to you in round three, awesome.
24:29We don't think you should take them in the first two rounds.
24:32So you have to decide if you want Colson Loveland.
24:35At this point, would you say Tyler Warren at around the 5-6 turn would be a great pick?
24:41Yes. Okay, so that's one you could look at.
24:44But as we said on yesterday's show, there's tight end value everywhere.
24:47There's quarterback value everywhere. Personally, Jamie, I think I'd be looking at quarterback late in round five if any of the top five guys are available.
24:55Specifically, I'm looking at Drake May, Joe Burrow, and Jaden Daniels.
24:58And in this draft, they didn't quite make it there except they went at the eighth, ninth, and tenth picks of this round.
25:05So clearly, these guys are coming into play as we get – oh, no, no.
25:10They didn't. I'm sorry. That was round six. They were all there.
25:13They were all there. Okay, so they went early in round six and not late in round five.
25:19So yeah, that's what's going to happen typically with May, Daniels, and Burrow.
25:23Late in round five, if one of those guys are there, it's certainly in play.
25:27I would take that risk because I would rather have them in like a Bejal Tootin who's clearly in a timeshare or a Jadarian Price.
25:35But your thoughts on that? So I guess we're looking at Jacqueline's draft at pick 12, one of our CBS Sports HQ hosts.
25:42And she's a very qualified fantasy player. She plays in a lot of leagues.
25:46I think if you feel comfortable with like Dak Prescott, Trevor Lawrence, that next tier of quarterbacks, you know, Justin Herbert, wherever
25:52you want to put the cutoff at. And you want to build out your running back depth.
25:58So you see the way that she built her team.
26:01You know, again, look at the positions, not the players.
26:04If you're concerned about maybe Jameson Williams in round four.
26:07So it's James Cook, Drake London, Garrett Wilson. Let's just say instead of Jameson Williams, that could have been Lad McConkie.
26:13Yeah. So that's Lad McConkie. Right. And then, okay, now I'm a little concerned about my running back depth.
26:19I'm going to take Basial Tutin and Jalen Moore.
26:21And again, forget about the names. It could have been David Montgomery and Jadarian Price if you want to just put different names in there.
26:29Coming back and getting Dak Prescott after passing on those quarterbacks to build out your running back depth is still perfectly acceptable.
26:35So I agree on one hand, like, okay, yes, the positives of what Drake May, Joe Burrow, Jaden Daniels give you certainly
26:42outweighs what Basial Tutin does if both positions hit at their best.
26:46Right. Basial Tutin is going to have to be a top 10 running back to outscore the quarterbacks, if that makes sense.
26:52Yeah. Right. I don't know where you cut it off, but my point is, like, then you got to feel comfortable enough,
26:59like, okay, I'm now building out my depth, but I'm also pretty confident that Dak Prescott or that next tier of quarterbacks
27:05is going to bump up against what maybe Drake May, Jaden Daniels, Joe Burrow does in the tier above them.
27:11Bill May. Yeah, I think when you're picking late in the first round and you, you know, the first four rounds are,
27:18are, I think there's a decent chance. It's going to be two running backs, two receivers, maybe go three receivers with one running back.
27:25You could do any combination, whatever. I think you're going to like your first four picks.
27:30Could get a little tricky once we start to get close to pick 60 because as we talked about on yesterday's show,
27:37I think Jamie and I see it the same way.
27:40Heath maybe – I think he also sees it pretty similarly.
27:43Heath is just lumping two guys that we like a little bit better into a bigger group of David Montgomery and Bucky Irving.
27:50You may not love your running back options at this point unless – like in this case, David Montgomery did fall, and
27:56Jacqueline who had the five, six-turn picks, she took Tootin and Warren over David Montgomery, which we wouldn't have done, but that's fine.
28:03And what I'm saying is this is your chance here, picking from these spots, this is your chance to say, if you
28:10want to do it, all right, I don't love the running backs and wide receivers.
28:15Maybe you do, but if you don't, this is my chance to be great at quarterback or to take Tyler Warren and
28:21try to be great at tight end. So that's where you can maybe have your team stand out if one of those
28:28quarterbacks happens to fall to you late in round five instead of just getting that running back because you need to fill a position.
28:35That's a decision you're going to have to make.
28:38I think – Kind of circling back to something you said where you can kind of do whatever you want.
28:44Yeah. You can map out your strategy pretty quickly after round two.
28:47So you can go running back, running back, and then say, okay, I'm probably going to go receivers here unless somebody just
28:54amazing falls to the three, four turn. So you love Javante Williams.
28:57He's there. You love maybe Jeremiah Love. And by the time you're drafting, the reports are positive.
29:03Kyron Williams, as you see, is in this range.
29:05So you could just say, okay, F it. I'm going to take three running backs here, and that's just the thing I'm committed to.
29:13You could go wide receiver, wide receiver, and then you get back to it.
29:17And again, there's Zay Flower sitting there. You love him.
29:20You said Devontae Smith. We've seen him in some cases fall to the 10th pick in the third round.
29:25You love Ted Earl McMillan. You love Ladd McCock, in the other case maybe.
29:30Then you go three receivers. You may take – Again, I'll reference the draft that we did Tuesday night where I went running back, running back.
29:37Man, my receivers are going to be pretty bad.
29:40But you know what? I'm taking Coles Lovin'. I don't care what my receivers look like.
29:45That gives me such a positional advantage if he hits to the level I expect him to.
29:50And then I just paired him with Garrett Wilson, and I still got Mike Evans and Parker Washington.
29:55So I think what you're saying is right, but I also think you've got to kind of commit some way, shape, or
30:02form, barring the free fall of somebody unexpected. But you kind of – I think, okay, I'm either going to go maybe
30:09hero RB because now the receivers are too good.
30:11I'm going to go running back, running back because I love these two guys.
30:16Like imagine you started – In this case, you could have started Chase Brown, Ashton Gentty, which are my four and five running backs.
30:23Yeah. Like, thank you. I'll sign up for that.
30:26Right. I do think the tough decision, I think, picking from this spot is like how to rank Lamb and Jefferson and London and A.J.
30:33Brown amongst these running backs. I struggle with that quite a bit.
30:37Personally, I'm not taking a lot of Jefferson here.
30:39I don't know how you feel like – How do you feel about – I don't think I'm taking A.J.
30:45– As much as I love A.J. Brown, I don't think I'm taking him with a top 15 pick.
30:51That's like the earliest I might consider him. Lamb and London would be the guys that I would – I guess I'd go with.
30:58How about you? I keep leaning into the running backs, you know, and it depends on who's available and just how much you like these guys.
31:06So, again, the draft we did Tuesday, I took Gentty and Ken Walker.
31:10And I'll be honest, it felt a little skittish to take Walker over Landry.
31:14Him and Jefferson, both were still on the board.
31:17And I don't have a rank that way. But I was trying a different strategy just to see how it played out.
31:23Walker was the next available running back. So, I believe I took Walker and I would do this.
31:29I have him over A.J. And I have him over Hampton.
31:32But, you know, you are going against the grain and passing up on what could be great wide receivers.
31:38Now, this was a two-running back, two-wide receiver, two-flex draft.
31:41So, it doesn't necessarily pigeonhole you to have to take three wide receivers.
31:45Wait, which one? The one we're talking about or a different one?
31:48The one I'm referencing where I picked 12. Okay, not the one we're showing.
31:53In this draft, it's a three-receiver league. So, I think more people would be inclined to say, okay, I want to come
31:59away with this with a Lamb, a Jefferson, a London, an A.J.
32:03Brown, you know, whoever the case may be. And knowing that, okay, I have one of the top five or six wide
32:09receivers and I have very good running back also.
32:12And I'm pretty comfortable with Javante Williams, Kyron Williams, Josh Jacobs, those running backs that should be available in round three.
32:18So, you're still getting top-tier running back, still very good number two running back, but also top-tier wide receiver and then still probably good number two wide receiver.
32:27So, format matters, but it's never a bad thing to come away with, okay, I got two dominant running backs and then
32:34two really good wide receivers or one dominant running back, one dominant wide receiver, one good running back, one good wide receiver.
32:40Yeah, it's a personal preference thing. By the way, there was this report from Ian Rappaport, Warren expected to miss one week with a minor groin injury.
32:48Okay, good, good. So, I'll just, I'll wrap this conversation up because those of you who don't have a pick late in
32:55the draft are like, shut up already. But many of you probably don't even know where you're picking yet.
33:01Team 10 went CeeDee Lamb, Ashton Gentty, Kyron Williams, Tedderola McMillan, Travion Henderson, Joe Burrow with its first six picks.
33:07Lamb, Gentty, Kyron, Tedderola McMillan, Travion, Joe Burrow. Team 11 was Dan.
33:10He went Jefferson, Chase Brown, Zay Flowers, Lad McConkie, Tyler Warren, David Montgomery.
33:14I actually really like that team. Yeah, I love it.
33:17But I think Montgomery in round six was a little bit of a gift.
33:21If he wasn't there, that's where I would have gone with like Burrow or May or Daniels.
33:26Right, or if you liked Jadarian Price, that was the next running back on the board.
33:31Yeah. But Jefferson, Chase Brown, Zay Flowers, Lad McConkie, that's a really good start.
33:35Tyler Warren and David Montgomery. And then if you're curious, he has Caleb Williams in round eight.
33:41And then Jacqueline in pick 12 went James Cook, Drake London, Garrett Wilson, Jamison Williams.
33:45But again, replace Jamison Williams with maybe Lad McConkie, McMillan, because we think that's a little too early for J-Mo.
33:51And then Bejal Tootin, Jalen Warren. And then Dak Prescott in round seven with the last pick of round seven.
33:57And Dallas Goddard in round eight. Yeah, again, this is where like with Goddard and with J-Mo, probably you might want to replace them with different players.
34:05That could have been Kittle instead of Goddard. It could have been likely.
34:09And Jalen Warren too, I would say. Yeah, and Jalen Warren.
34:12That could have been Montgomery. But the build of running back, three receivers, two running backs, quarterback, tight end, it's perfectly doable.
34:19My question is like, if you don't have Montgomery available to you, if you don't have Bucky Irving available to you at
34:26that five, six turn, what do you do? Yeah, I mean, you could still take Tootin there, still take Jadari and Price there, something like that.
34:33I probably would have done one of those running backs and an elite quarterback instead of like two of those running backs.
34:40But okay, that's picking 10 through 12. Let's get just recent buzz.
34:44We can do this probably pretty quickly here. Just kind of, I don't know, a lot of joint practices this week, Jamie, which is good.
34:51Before you go there, I just want to tease tomorrow's show because we're going to talk more drafts.
34:57We're going to do a Superflex mock draft live on the air for people that have been asking about that.
35:03Oh yeah, awesome. Fired up about that. So we'll give you some Superflex strategy.
35:07We definitely owe you auction strategy. I would say maybe we'll do it on the mailbag or maybe we'll have a separate
35:13show just for auction strategy, but it's going to happen.
35:16It's kind of a weird year because we got an extra week before the season starts.
35:21So I don't feel like that many people have drafted yet.
35:24And it's August 20th. Like usually at this point, a lot of people have drafted.
35:29So we have more time to do draft prep.
35:32All right. So just in terms of this is a great week with all these joint practices.
35:37And I think you can find out a lot more about these teams when we get these reports of joint practices rather than preseason games.
35:44And I think a lot of the starters are going to sit this week in preseason because they played during the joint practices, but we'll see.
35:52But some players getting good buzz. I think Parker Washington missed the practice and Brian Thomas Jr.
35:57was great. It's pretty clear. It seems like I've seen so much buzz on everyone in Jacksonville, but Parker Washington has been number one and Brian Thomas Jr.
36:06is apparently having a very good camp as well.
36:08So just to back that up, Pete Prisco was just in Jacksonville for the joint practices with the Panthers.
36:14And everything that you've heard is true. Parker Washington is their guy.
36:18Brian Thomas is having a potential bounce back season, has the potential for a bounce back season.
36:23Looks great. And when he was there, Basel Tootin looked great.
36:26Basel Tootin had a great practice the other day.
36:29Chris Rodriguez, the day before that, was really good.
36:31That is going to be a split. We're hoping that Tootin kind of comes out of that.
36:37It's very possible that Rodriguez is going to be great value.
36:40I'll try to check his ADP in a moment.
36:43AJ Brown, he's been kicking ass lately. Devontae Smith, there was just someone writing about how he's really emerged.
36:48He's their guy. They believe in him, obviously. Devontae Smith, now that he's back, looking good.
36:53You hope so. Yeah, one of the Titans writers was saying like, Wondale Robbins.
36:57Yes, I do. Hope so very much. One of the writers for the Titans was just saying, I don't know if it
37:04was a beat guy or someone who was just at practice.
37:07Wondale Robinson is going to catch a lot of balls this year.
37:11That's one I've come around on. He was kind of, yeah.
37:14It's not going to be a ton of yards, I don't think.
37:18It's probably not going to be a lot of touchdowns, but enough catches.
37:22Let's go back to what he did two years ago.
37:25He had the same amount of targets. He had 140 targets in both seasons.
37:29Two years ago, he was not as productive, but he was just involved.
37:33PPR, he's just a cheat code. He goes off for the touchdowns that he had last year.
37:38Then you're talking about a guy that could be a league winner based on where you drafted him.
37:43Just understand, he can just be a set and forget it number three receiver in PPR where you're getting 12 points on
37:50a week-to-week basis and you're just fine with it.
37:53But two years ago, Wanda Robinson had an absolutely terrible year.
37:56He had 699 yards on 140 targets. I'd like to think he and everyone else in the NFL is better than that.
38:02It's just one of these weird random, how could your yards per catch and per target be so bad?
38:08He was wide receiver 47 per game in PPR with 140 targets.
38:12I don't really think that's his floor. I think it's probably more like 36 or something if he's getting, let's say it's 120 targets.
38:19Marvin Harrison Jr. apparently doing some good things. Matthew Golden, Jamie.
38:22Are you starting to have any more interest in Matthew Golden?
38:26I've had interest in him since the moves this offseason.
38:29Again, they showed us the blueprint of what they're looking for here.
38:32It's Matthew Golden on the field a lot. It's Christian Watson on the field a lot.
38:37And it's Jayden Reed on the field a lot.
38:40So Reed is probably going to play the least amount when they're in 12 personnel.
38:44But I don't think they want to take Jayden Reed off the field very much.
38:49And if Tucker Craft is going to be worked in slowly in the beginning part of the season, there's opportunities for all three of these guys.
38:57Now you have a running back situation. That's a little in flux, especially if Josh Jacobs does get suspended.
39:02So I think Matthew Golden is one of the biggest steals based on his upside and where you're getting him.
39:08So absolutely you should be interested in him. He's still my third favorite Packers receiver, but it's very close between him and Reed.
39:15He's still your what? Third favorite Packers. Third favorite.
39:18Okay. Yeah, their ADPs are really close. How about Matthew Golden versus Casey Concepcion?
39:22Who do you like better? I think there's probably more upside for Concepcion, but Golden feels safer because of his quarterback.
39:28Yeah. Okay. Cyrus Allen having a good camp. I don't know if this is a guy.
39:33This is Chiefs rookie wide receiver fifth round pick.
39:36I don't know if it's a guy that gets that we draft or just a guy that makes things a little muddy for the others.
39:43We could talk about that when we look at Rasheed Rice.
39:47Jalen Waddell had a great practice the other day.
39:49That's good to see because he missed a lot of time.
39:53Caught a 60-yard touchdown on Patrick Sertan and made a lot of headlines.
39:57Let's go. Jamie, you put Amari and Hampton on this getting good buzz list.
40:01What are you seeing on Hampton? So it was the same practice where Biotic got injured, but the joint practice with the
40:0749ers, he was just apparently running people over. So clearly this is going to be a guy that could be awesome if everything around him is working.
40:16Much better offense coordinator. Mike McDaniel has been very good with two different versions of running backs.
40:21You've heard me say this a lot. He got an 18-touchdown season out of Raheem Mostert.
40:26He's been fantastic for Devon Achan. And so Hampton, first-round talent.
40:29I think he has an opportunity here to compete to be a top-five running back.
40:33He's in the top 10 for me. And then in that same joint practice, I'll just – the next guy on the
40:40list, Caelan Black, return from practice, also looked really good.
40:43So it seems like he could be, especially with Jordan James banged up, separating himself as the number two running back early
40:50in the season if something were to happen to McCaffrey.
40:53That's a funny comment in the chat from Zed.
40:55Wondell Robinson is this year's Wondell Robinson. I like that.
40:58Daniel Jones. I mean, apparently having a good camp with all these injuries around him too and with him recovering from the torn Achilles.
41:05Obviously, you want to see it for yourself before you believe it just in terms of what's his mobility going to be.
41:12But I always mention he averaged 3.7 carries per game last year.
41:16He had averaged at least 6.7 in each of the previous three seasons.
41:20So he would basically career low, I think, in rush attempts.
41:23So he was that good last year without running.
41:26It wasn't like Mahomes where he had this basically career rushing year for Mahomes and he's coming out of a torn ACL.
41:32Like I said earlier, Daniel Jones could come out, look great again, and we'll be like, oh, well, we were too low on Daniel Jones.
41:40You have that fear that we're too low on Daniel Jones?
41:43I don't have that fear because the position is so loaded.
41:46So it's like when I look at my quarterback rankings, there are so many number two quarterbacks that I just say, oh,
41:53this guy should be a top 12 guy. That guy should be a top 12 guy.
41:58Like it's hard to put Kyler Murray in the top 12 knowing what his history has been and now the situation that he's in.
42:05It's hard to put Tyler Shuck in the top 12.
42:08Be a little easier if Jordan Tyson were healthy, but like finish the season really strong and Kellen Moore's history is great.
42:15It's hard to put Jared Goff in the top 12.
42:18I don't have Patrick Mahomes in the top 15.
42:20Bo Nix has been a top 12 quarterback essentially the first two years.
42:24He got Jalen Waddell. There's just so many great players at that position that it's like, okay, where do you start to
42:31tier it and where do you start to see the drop off?
42:34You know, who are the 20 point guys? You know, you've heard us say there's about 20 quarterbacks.
42:40I think that could be north of 20 points per game.
42:43Jordan Love, Baker Mayfield. Like this is just great, a great, great position.
42:47So yes, Daniel Jones could get off to a great start.
42:50I'm probably not going to drop a quarterback that I drafted barring an injury to pick up Daniel Jones.
42:56So I'm going to stick with probably the guys that I drafted because I have conviction of those guys a little bit stronger.
43:03Yeah. I just think he belongs at the very least Daniel Jones belongs in that discussion of players.
43:08You could just wait on and maybe make your number two quarterback.
43:12That could be good like a Baker Mayfield and a Malik Willis and all this stuff.
43:17So he makes the position even deeper if he's really looking good.
43:20Kalon Black, we mentioned and rookie wide receiver Bryce Lance for the Saints has taken advantage of the absence of Jordan Tyson
43:27and Devon Vele is hurt right now too. So Bryce Lance, I would have a hard time seeing him really making an impact, but you never know.
43:35It's a name to know. He's a talented player.
43:38Bad. You're glitching pretty badly on your camera. Oh, yeah?
43:41Okay. Yeah. I will leave and come back. But Jamie, I'll throw it to you.
43:45Bad. You know what we'll do? I'll throw it to you.
43:49You can talk about this and we'll take a break and then I'll come back.
43:53To a tongue of a low, I guess, didn't have very good practice the other day and he was really bad in the preseason.
44:00And my impression just from reading the Vikings joint practice report is that Kyler Murray wasn't all that great.
44:06I don't know how you feel about the quarterback situations for Atlanta and obviously it's not a race or anything in Minnesota, but you do that.
44:14I'll be right back actually. Yeah, I think with – we're taking a break?
44:18No, no, no. You go ahead and I'll just come right back.
44:22Okay. So I'll start with Atlanta. I think they're probably just waiting at this point for Michael Penix to get healthy.
44:28It sounds like Tua is going to still start the season, but clearly he's going to have to play well early in the year to keep that job.
44:36I would not run away from Drake London or Kyle Pitts yet.
44:40Certainly not from B. John Robinson yet. But when you're debating B.
44:44John versus Gibbs, it's easier to lean toward Gibbs.
44:46When you're debating London versus A.J. Brown, for me, I'm going to go Brown.
44:50And in the case of Pitts, again, if you like Tucker Craft better than him or if you're in the Laporta discussion,
44:57if he's still there, I would take Laporta and Kraft over Pitts just with the quarterback questions.
45:02Although Tua still might be very good for the pass catchers there, specifically Kyle Pitts and Kevin Stefanski's system.
45:08When we get to the Vikings, I mean, there's going to be growing pains.
45:12He's no pun intended. There's things that Kyler Murray still has to do and do better.
45:17There's things that I think he's learning in Kevin O'Connell's offense.
45:20There's going to be some sluggish moments and probably he's going to look flawed, but that's really who he is.
45:26I think you're hoping for him to be, as a fantasy asset, still run.
45:30In his career, he averages 36 yards per game, which is great.
45:34And then hopefully just elevate the receivers around him.
45:37So if you're debating Jefferson versus C.D. Lamb, if you're debating Jefferson versus A.J.
45:41Brown or the other receivers, Drake London behind him, then you can pivot to somebody else.
45:46But I still think this offense is going to be much better.
45:49And Jefferson's numbers, when it has not been J.J.
45:52McCarthy, have been very good. And we're going to take a commercial break and we'll talk about those ADPs that may not
45:59make much sense when we come back on Fantasy Football Today.

47:08Visit cash.app.legal.podcast for all full disclosures. Well, we did a little preview of this earlier, but Rasheed Rice, I looked at NFC
47:15ADP over the last five days, five to six days.
47:18More recent average draft position, high stakes leagues. It's half PPR, I believe.
47:22Rasheed Rice is going 27th overall as wide receiver 13.
47:25And just based on what he has done in his last 17 healthy games, because he broke out the last six games
47:31of the 2023 season, his rookie year. You're talking over 18 PPR fantasy points per game.
47:36You're talking wide receiver five production. So for him to be at wide receiver 13, Jamie, I mean, I know we've already
47:43discussed this, but how much of that do you think is the knee?
47:47And how much do you think is the other stuff?
47:50I think it's a combination. I don't think you can really separate this with him because, you know, spending the off season
47:56in jail, you know, and then the knee injury and then having a second, you know, cleanup procedure and then looking a little bit slow.
48:04I would still buy the dip. I would still take the discount on him if I pick in the early part of
48:10round one and he's there in the back end of round two or the early part of round three.
48:16I mean, if you go back to this as a draft that with other analysts, if you recall, our flex draft, which
48:23was two weeks ago at this point, my flex draft, you were there.
48:27And I said, you were like, oh, what are you going to do?
48:30I took Pukenuku at fourth overall. Round two, I got Jake London.
48:34I said, there's a chance I may get Rashi Rice here in round three because some people are concerned.
48:40And he went in the early part of round three or the last pick around two.
48:45I still think that this is the guy for Patrick Mahomes.
48:48I still think this is the leading target getter, despite Travis Kelsey also having a strong camp and, you know, still being such a focal point.
48:56But if he stays healthy, like there's top five potential here from a production standpoint.
49:00So when you start to compare him to the guys around him, so the guys in front of him, you know, I
49:07think George Pickens is going ahead of him. I would take Rice.
49:10Nico Collins, again, you could debate that. A.J. Brown, you could debate that.
49:14I think Drake London, you could debate that. You know, so that's kind of where it, I think, stops because I don't
49:21think anybody's taking him ahead of C.D. Lamb or Justin Jefferson.
49:24I certainly would not. And then you look at the guys behind him, Chris Olave, Malik Neighbors.
49:29I think Dave has Malik Neighbors over Rashi Rice.
49:32There are flaws with those guys. And I think you can make a case there's more flaws for those guys than there
49:39is for Rice from a production standpoint and a play standpoint.
49:42You know, if you're going to knock Rice for his knee injury, how do you not knock Malik Neighbors?
49:48And Olave, you know, Jordan Tyson, we don't know how long he'll be out.
49:52The estimation is two months. That could go longer based on his track record.
49:56So I think Rice is in a good enough spot that round two feels safe for him.
50:01And I think the middle to the end of round two is where he should go.
50:06Okay. Yeah. So that means there's good value there with Rashi Rice.
50:10One thing I've loved about him, you know, he's basically could segment his production into three different segments.
50:15The last six games of his rookie season, the first three games of his second season, then he had the knee injury
50:22in week four and his entire 2025 season, which was eight games.
50:25And he's had in those three segments in each of them, he's had a 28% target share or better.
50:31And that is just massive. And what I really like is if you look at last year in eight games, he had
50:3818 red zone targets, 14 green zone targets, and five end zone targets in eight games.
50:42So, I mean, he is, he is my homes, this guy, not just for short yards, but also where it really matters.
50:49Like, I think he's going to be their touchdowns leader.
50:52I don't think that's Kelsey anymore. So, um, I think you have the, the improved run game.
50:57Yeah. However, however improved it is. So again, I think you, bingo, uh, you, you, you knock them down a few spots
51:04or you, you knock off a little bit of production because of that.
51:08But maybe, or, or they could just score more points.
51:11Like that's where I like, they have been a middling offense between 12th and 20th and points per game.
51:16The last three years, if they get back to being a great offense, I'm a little skeptical that they do that.
51:23Cause I don't think they have the speed to do it.
51:26And, um, then, you know, maybe they're like ninth in points, you know, then, you know, you could just have more touchdowns in general.
51:33All right, let's go to Javante because as you said, what has changed the main split for Javante Williams last year, uh,
51:40running back 12 per game in PPR 10 per game and non PPR.
51:44And he's going as around 15 to 18, depending on the site.
51:47You look first, uh, man, where it's like the first, okay.
51:51First eight games. This guy is on pace for seven, 72 targets, 19 touchdowns.
51:55He's RB eight per game. Last eight games. He's RB 25 per game.
51:59He's on pace for only 36 targets. That's half as many as he was in the first eight games.
52:04He's on pace for only eight touchdowns. That's less than half as many as he was in the first two, uh, first eight games.
52:12Um, so this is a guy who had like fewer than he had fewer than 10 receiving yards in 10 of his last 12 games.
52:19He was the worst receiving running back in football last year.
52:22One of the worst receiving running backs in a very long time.
52:26He can only get better, uh, in terms of as a receiver than what we saw last year.
52:31But yeah, I mean, I think people are a little spooked by how bad the second half of the year was for
52:38him, but yeah, I do where, what do you think about Javante?
52:42If he's going to say somewhere around the three, four turn, he's around three pick for me.
52:47Um, when I look at that group of running backs, so it starts with Kyron Williams, who I just don't want to
52:53run away from because of Blake Corum, but you can make a case that Javante is in a better spot.
52:59Jeremiah love. I can't take ahead of Javante Williams right now because of the injury.
53:04I don't think Travis HN, you said it earlier.
53:07We have to factor in that Kamara still going to play at some point.
53:11So the competition, I think still is a little bit of a knock in the favor of, of HN, but slightly they're back to back now for me.
53:19And then Jacobs with the injury and potential suspension, he's also in this mix, but he's such a wild card because if
53:26he plays the full season, like he's going to, I don't think shatter his ADP, but you know, probably be in the
53:32top 12 conversation, maybe top 10 conversation. He's that good.
53:35So that group of guys, and, and you can, you can argue, I think fairly that Deandre Swift is pushing to be
53:42in that group, but the backend, so that group of guys like, and every salto that group of guys, it's like, who,
53:49who do you think has the highest ceiling? And I do think that there's legitimate reason to say the Cowboys are going to be a playoff contender.
53:57The Cowboys defense is going to be better. So we're not in all of these shootouts.
54:02They're still going to be throwing the ball a lot.
54:05Like you said about the chiefs, they're still going to score.
54:08It doesn't matter how they score. They're gonna score.
54:11So Jaden blue, Phil Moffa, Malik Davis. I don't think there's anybody that talented.
54:15That's going to say, okay, they're better than Javante.
54:17They're handcuffs for Javante, but they're not better than Javante.
54:20Yeah. So unless we get like a late, a last minute James Connor type trade, Trey Benson type trade, somebody else that's
54:27on the, you know, bottom of someone's roster that has the chance to come in and compete.
54:32It feels like he's just in a really good spot.
54:35So I know you almost want to think of Javante as just a guy that's fallen into a good opportunity and maybe that's fair.
54:42Yes. But you saw it last year. I think there's still the opportunity for him to be not top five ish, but top 10 ish.
54:50And to get him late round three, early round four, you, we, we, we showed the draft.
54:55You got him in round four. I feel like that's just amazing value.
54:59Yeah. And, and middle of round four at that.
55:02And for Javante, like I gave you the first eight second eight, uh, weeks split, but if you just want to look,
55:08he had a stinger in December and his last three games, he was very limited up until that point.
55:14He was ninth per game. So, you know, that includes some of the bad stretch in the second half, you know, Javante
55:21does feel like, um, the, the least talented running back in that mix.
55:24And obviously if the Cowboys had some great running back, he'd be a first round pick.
55:29Javante Williams had 11 touchdowns last year, rushing touchdowns.
55:3210 of them came from the five yard line or closer.
55:35So you just, you need that. You need that, but there's a pretty good chance you're going to get three in week one.
55:42Did he have three in week one? In week one.
55:45Uh, he may have had three. He definitely had two.
55:48He had two. He had two. Um, you, you need those touchdowns, but the goal line opportunities he's, he's going to get basically all of them.
55:56All right. The last guy was Devante Adams. And yeah, again, if you're worried about him getting hurt, then I think I
56:03made a pretty compelling case where even young guys get hurt.
56:06If you're worried about him falling off at age 33, he'll be 33.
56:10Basically, I think on Christmas Eve, this is essentially his age.
56:13No, he'll be 34 on Christmas Eve. This is essentially, this is his age 33 season.
56:18Um, yeah, the, the guys who are good at age 33 typically are hall of famers and he's one of them, so he can do it.
56:26Um, you, Jamie said he's worried about the catches in the yards.
56:29I think that's totally understandable, but the number I would come back to is he had 138.
56:34He was on pace for 138 targets last year.
56:37That is massive. He had one of the highest target per out run rates in the NFL, just had a really bad connection.
56:44And with, with Matthew Stafford, believe it or not, anywhere other than the end zone, any of the highest a dot of his career.
56:51So if they lower the eight out a little bit and he still gets close to that many targets, we're going to
56:58see a big increase in catches and yards. He's going to, we're going to see a big decrease in touchdowns for sure.
57:04But we'll, I think still get, I mean, I'll, I'll take more than eight for, uh, him.
57:10And I gave this that several weeks ago, but over the last 10 seasons, 86% of the wide receivers who have caught
57:16eight or more touchdowns, average 13 or more PPR fantasy points per game.
57:20And that's, you know, like the, that's the midpoint between wide receiver 24, the last two years.
57:25Uh, so got a great chance to be wide receiver 24.
57:29I'm talking too much here. I think Devante Adams is very good value.
57:32And the other thing, Jamie, is that Puka Nakua might be suspended.
57:36That's the big wild card. I was just waiting to say that like an injured, I mean, he's dealing with a significant
57:43injury right now, you know, dealing with that sniffing, but an injury enough that you have to monitor it.
57:48So I, I think there's a lot to like about Devante Adams.
57:52I think, uh, you heard me say this yesterday.
57:55Maybe it was, um, when we were at lunch that I'm going to rewrite, I'm supposed to write an updated version of,
58:01uh, basically bus and I'm just going to chop up all the bus calls that I said, which, you know, cause now
58:08that ADP is settled a little bit and we have an idea where these guys are going.
58:13Like I can't call Devante Adams a bust as the 26 receiver in our projections and a fifth round pick.
58:19That's fine for him. That's absolutely fine for him.
58:22You know, Luther burden or Devante Adams. I would still take burden because I think there's more upside there.
58:27But if you tell me Puka is going to be, you know, missing two games because of injury in two games because
58:34of suspension and a quarter of the season, like why would I not take Devante Adams over Luther burden?
58:40Yeah. Uh, by the way, just cause you mentioned it, um, Cole van Lannen is, uh, coming off the pop list for the Jaguars.
58:47So he should be good to go. I mentioned that you said the Jaguars offensive line.
58:52Oh, okay. Yeah, I did. Cause Macari's out. Yeah.
58:54So. All right. That's Devante Adams, uh, late round four, early round five.
58:58If it's heavy, I prefer him in round five.
59:01I haven't ranked around five, but he's, uh, you know, originally when I, you know, months ago, first rankings, it was like, I don't want the month Adams.
59:09He's, he's like round six for me. And then as we've seen these injuries and concerns and blah, blah, blah, it's just
59:16like, why would you not buy into a player despite his age?
59:20You know, I'm not the biggest fan of older players.
59:23He's just in such a very good spot. If they had added McKay lemon, for example, which was some of the rumors
59:29NFL draft night 16th overall, where they took Ty Simpson would have changed things immensely.
59:34And I do think, and I have, this is one rankings adjustment.
59:37You know, I, it's funny just to give you a peek behind the curtain, you know, so I'll update my rankings and
59:44I'll go back and look just to make sure I published.
59:47And I'm like, I just, I got to move Terrence Ferguson up.
59:51I got to move Terrence Ferguson up and then I, I'll do it tomorrow.
59:55So like, that's the update I'm going to make today is like moving Ferguson up because I think that's the third pass catcher for the Rams.
60:03And if there's a Puka injury or absence for whatever reason, or Devante gets hurt, I don't think it's whoever the receivers they have on their roster.
60:11It's, it's going to be Ferguson. They're going to run just a lot of 13 personnel and he's going to be the, the, the pass catcher of note.
60:19Like last year's Colby Parkinson. I think Ferguson's this guy, the guy this year.
60:24Okay. Also last thing on Devante Adams, 81.2% catchable target rate ranked 70th of out of 78 wide receivers with 50 or more targets.
60:31Shocking, right? Because he's so good. He's so good.
60:34And Stafford is so good. Yeah. And for some reason, their connection just wasn't what it could be.
60:39Um, I want to see, let's, let's spend a little time on emails.
60:43I have some emails that are about drafting from different positions.
60:46This one is from Tiago and he says, uh, he's from Brazil, by the way, he says, um, former center for the Spurs.
60:53Yep. Tiago splitter. Here it is. I need help to define my strategy for my first.
60:58The greatest heat plays of all time involved Tiago splitter.
61:01Did it? Yeah. He, uh, he tried to dunk over LeBron and LeBron blocked him at the rim.
61:06Nice. Um, I don't want to go for McCaffrey or Jonathan Taylor.
61:10I would love to get Amon Ross St. Brown or JSN, but I'm afraid they're going to be selected fifth and six.
61:17I think he has the seventh pick. If that's the case, should I go McCaffrey or Taylor?
61:22Should I reach for Chase Brown? Because I think at, oh, so he has 204.
61:26So that means he has the ninth pick. I think unless he's got a 10 team league crap, I need more context here.
61:33I think at 204, Chase Brown won't be available.
61:36Oh, I, I butchered. 10 team league. He might 12 team league.
61:39I doubt it. Um, so I, I mean, I like Chase Brown better than McCaffrey.
61:44I know I'm on an Island with that one, but I would take Jonathan Taylor over.
61:49Okay. He has this, he has the seventh pick in a 10 team league.
61:53That's what it is. There we go. So I would take Taylor, not even hesitate.
61:57Yeah. I think you could get Chase Brown at, at pick 14.
62:01Um, all right. Question from Jacks. I have the 10th pick.
62:04Should I take CD lamb with a 10th pick or should I take two running backs with my first two picks?
62:11If you're comfortable enough with the group of, I'll say Jente, but Jente, maybe a Chan if he falls Hampton, Ken Walker, Chase Brown will be there.
62:19Chase Brown could be there. No, I'm talking about round two.
62:22If you're comfortable with those guys in round two, then take lamb in round one.
62:27Cause most likely lamb will not be there in round two.
62:30Now he thinks he can grab Devante Smith or a Mecca, a Buka at wide receiver one in the third round.
62:36I think you can get a Buka for sure.
62:39Right. It's tough. Right. I would not count on that.
62:42Cause we like Smith. Like if I thought if I had the 10th pick and I thought for sure that I had
62:48at least like a 70% chance of getting Devante Smith, it would really influence my draft strategy, but I don't, I just don't think it's going to happen.
62:57So that's why I was saying this to Heath the other day.
63:01Like he loves Zay flowers, absolutely loves Zay flowers.
63:03We know that. Yeah. You hate that. He loves Zay flowers.
63:07And so if he's picking 10th, I think there's a very strong possibility back end around three Zay flowers is there.
63:13Yeah, I agree. And that's what I was saying.
63:16Like for me, that guy is DJ more. I know the early powder part of part of round four middle to round four.
63:22I'm going to get DJ more because I take him ahead of everybody.
63:26So I don't want to build my strategy around that, but I don't.
63:30I love DJ more the way he loves Zay flowers.
63:33And so like, if I know I'm getting Zay flowers in almost every draft that I do, because I take him five
63:40to seven spots ahead of his ADP. Why would you not go running back running back?
63:45Because you still want to take best player available.
63:47I think he, but his, his player Zay flowers is ranked in such a spot for him.
63:52That's ahead of those players in round two. Yeah.
63:55Well, I think that if it's a two receiver league, I think you make a strong case.
64:00If it's a three receiver league that you could be like, yeah, I'll take Zay flowers around three, but I also, I'll
64:07just take a ride receiver around round one as well.
64:10But yeah, no, you make a good point. Um, this is from, uh, some, I'm not sure the name here.
64:16Uh, I'm in a 10 team PPR league. I have pick one Oh one.
64:20I plan to take Gibbs. My problem at the two, three turn.
64:24So that's picks 20 and 21. Um, the wide receivers are usually Nico, AJ Brown, Olave London.
64:29Sometimes the running backs are usually Hampton, chase Brown, Walker Barkley.
64:32Am I crazy to take two of the available available running backs at the turn and start three running backs in a 10 team PPR league?
64:40So he says Walker and who else are there at 20?
64:43He's thinking Hampton, chase Brown, Walker Barkley. Yeah. I probably in a 10 team league, if I'm going Gibbs, I might go running back receiver there.
64:51And I know they're great running backs and you're, you know, passing up another great one, but like you just listed a
64:58hell of a group of wide receivers. Yeah. So it's just the nature of it.
65:02I, I love the idea. Love the idea of going hero RB first or second overall.
65:07Because you get Gibbs, Olave, Devante Smith, Gibbs, the 12 team league.
65:11Yeah. It's a big difference here. I wouldn't do it in a 10 team league.
65:15Gibbs pickings neighbors like you do. Bijan, whatever the case, like there's just two awesome wide receivers.
65:20And then you come back in round three, you could still get another good wide receiver.
65:25You can still, you know, end around three. I'm sorry.
65:28End around four, excuse me. And then those other running backs are still in play, you know, Judkins, Scadaboo, maybe still Swift.
65:35Like it's, it's a great start. Yeah. And also don't forget about Brock Bowers here.
65:39Oh, Bowers and McBride for sure. Yeah. And by the, so I said, I wouldn't do it in a 10 team league, the hero RB.
65:47I actually, that's not true. It just would depend on if, if the top 12 running backs were off the board, as
65:53soon as the top 12 running backs are off the board, if you have a running back, if you have one running
66:00back, then you start thinking about the hero RB strategy.
66:03Um, all right. Last one is from Tim in Denver.
66:06He can pick his draft spot in a half PPR league anywhere from four to 12.
66:11He thinks the top 12 running backs, they're typically gone after the 18th pick.
66:15So he's tempted to choose pick seven so he can get two of them or at least have the option to do it.
66:22Uh, what pick, if you could take anywhere from four to 12, where would you pick?
66:27If I want to go running back, running back.
66:29It doesn't matter. If I want to go running back, running back, it would probably be no earlier than, or no, I
66:36would probably look eight, nine, 10 because I think you're getting some running backs there that are still very good.
66:42Like you get Jonathan Taylor still in that range.
66:45Uh, if you like McCaffrey, he'll be in that range.
66:48Um, you want to guarantee yourself chase Brown or gente.
66:51They're in that range, Ray Chan. They're in that range.
66:54And then you get that second part of round two where it's Walker Hampton, Barkley, Henry, like love that.
66:59By the way, AJ Brown, apparently having another monster camp, uh, practice day.
67:03Yeah. I'm so excited about it. Yeah. All right.
67:06That's it. I don't, I don't know. Like you were driving the bus, but you're pretty ahead of that.
67:12How good AJ Brown could be. Well, we don't know what, we don't really know what's going to happen here, but it just makes sense.
67:19Right. Ooh, we got a, we did a tennis poll.
67:22Who's going to win the match? 53% Dan 47%.
67:25Hey, there you go. I'm just going to tell you, I really don't think I'm going to win.
67:30I just, I'm not as good as him. It sucks.
67:33It's like, I really want to beat him. And I also want to tell everybody, and I'll tell you again tomorrow after
67:40the match, like Dan's not really this big of a pompous jerk.
67:44He was doing it to be a heel to, to kind of drum up interest in it and make people hate him.
67:50And I told him not to do it and he did it anyway.
67:54Uh, and yeah, he's, he's actually a very gracious, uh, tennis player, but I don't think I'm going to win and it
68:01bothers me because I really want to win. I'm going to give it everything I have.
68:05I'm going to go down swinging. I'm going to hit hard.
68:09I'm going to, you know, I'm going to go for it, but I'm just not as good as him.
68:14So I appreciate everyone's support. I know you're for most of you are rooting for me.
68:19So, so the thing I, the thing I did for yesterday was I said, are you on team Adam or team Dan?
68:26And I said, like, if you are on team Adam retweeted or on team that nobody retweets.
68:31So I made sure like you're going to win that, uh, by the way, Dan, Dan is at a joint practice Dan
68:38and Dave are at joint practice for the dolphins and giants.
68:41Would you like to hear Dan's, uh, post three minutes ago?
68:44Yeah. Okay. You might not love it, but it sounds like he's okay.
68:48Uh, Andrew Thomas came off the field briefly, but is our back swing back in team drills with first team.
68:54Maybe a cramp foot thing looks fine. Practice is getting really chilly.
68:58Now guessing he says means chippy. Yeah. I'm getting really chilly now.
69:01I don't think it's chilly in South Florida. Let's be honest with you.
69:05Um, I'm getting really chilly. Now 31 for Miami.
69:08Just had a borderline dirty hit on Tracy angle route, check down and JMS got caught up in his face immediately.
69:14Okay. I don't, I, I mean, dude, spell check, bro.
69:17Like just take a second and read it. I'm going to, I'm going to comment to this and say, we read this on air word for word.
69:25Check your spelling next time. You, you slob. Quote, you slob.
69:29Adam. All right, everybody. I'm going to kick his ass today.
69:32We'll talk to you tomorrow on fantasy football today.
