0:05And welcome everybody, I'm Adam Azer with Heath Cummings.
0:08Let's get right to it. Who are some of your favorite stashes?
0:12So, I think this, and I hate to do this at the start, but there's always like this question of what exactly are you talking about?
0:21Assuming that we are talking about running backs that have, and I should have asked you this probably earlier, that have no
0:29value unless the starter gets hurt, then I think that the best backup running backs are, and my favorite is Mike Washington.
0:36I loved what he showed, and maybe he will have some value.
0:40We've seen Kubiak use a two-back system in the past.
0:44Washington popped in his first preseason appearance. He was one of the stars of the combine running a 4-3-40 at like 220 pounds.
0:51He was really good on an awful Arkansas team in college, and he has no competition for the job.
0:58So, if that is the qualification, best backup running backs who have no value unless the starter gets hurt, I would say Mike Washington.
1:06I would also say, though, like if you're just talking about stashes at the running back position, I think the best one
1:14is Zach Charbonnet, because he's going to start the year, we think, still on Pup, but there's been some talk that he could be ready for week one.
1:23That's probably not going to happen, but you're probably drafting him as a stash just until he comes back.
1:30And I think that the difference between Charbonnet and all the other backup running backs who may not have any value week
1:37one is that we don't have to wait for an injury.
1:41We just have to wait for his to heal.
1:44Yeah, great point. And I guess we can just talk about like strict handcuffs here.
1:49And then if you want to talk about stashes, it could be at any position.
1:54It doesn't have to just be running backs. But who is in that Mike Washington category for you?
2:00So Dylan Sampson also popped in the first preseason game.
2:04Brian Robinson, Tank Bigsby, probably Isaiah Pacheco, assuming he's healthy.
2:07Marshawn Lloyd, who may turn out to not be a stash if something happens to Josh Jacobs.
2:13Jonah Coleman, although he's kind of a tier below and what separates Jonah Coleman for the rest of him is, and the
2:20guys after Jonah Coleman as well, is that if something happens to J.K.
2:25Dobbins, I don't think we're getting workhorse Jonah Coleman.
2:28I don't think Jonah Coleman is getting the work that R.J.
2:31Harvey did last year. I think R.J. Harvey will stay in his role, perhaps even see his role grow just a little bit.
2:39And so I would put Jonah Coleman, Emmitt Johnson, Braylon Allen kind of in that second tier of stashes.
2:46You know, I think this is not the first time I've disagreed with someone on this, but I don't know that I agree on Dylan Sampson.
2:55I think they'll use Raheem Sanders enough if Quinchon Judkins gets hurt.
2:59I'm just trying to look at – maybe they'll cut Raheem Sanders.
3:03There was a report from Brown's camp that they've been so unimpressed with the running backs other than Sampson and Judkins that
3:10they might be in the market for one if the right one gets cut.
3:15So that could either lend itself to your point that they want somebody else in that room or to my point that
3:23Dylan Sampson is the clear number two. Yeah, I'm on the air here.
3:27I'm not sure that Dylan Sampson – I think they're going to trust him to really carry the rock enough.
3:34And he might be a little bit too small.
3:37That's just my personal take. But Sanders, I mean, just real quick on Raheem Sanders, even though no one asked.
3:44I think he has the worst nickname on earth.
3:47That man should not be nicknamed Rocket. It's just – it doesn't make any sense.

4:45I did not. I haven't been – like, Ray Davis has shown some good things, but Ty Johnson still exists, right?
4:52Yeah, he'd be the third down back. Ty Johnson plays more than we want him to when James Cook is healthy.
4:59But James Cook pretty much never plays on third down and he's, you know, a first-round pick.
5:05Ray Davis would pretty much never play on third down, but I think he'd be pretty good if Cook got hurt.
5:12I am not as confident that he would be pretty good and I'm not as confident that Ty Johnson wouldn't get more carries if James Cook was out.
5:22Not more carries than Ray Davis, but more carries than he will with James Cook healthy.
5:27Right. Okay. Any stashes that aren't handcuffs that maybe could just, like, work their way into a job?
5:33Well, I mean, the first one is not a work his way into a job, but I think there's a very good
5:41chance that we're drafting Jordan Tyson as a stash.
5:44So he is the best stash. Hopefully, Alec Pierce is not a stash.
5:48I think I really am excited about the potential of Chris Bell becoming the number one wide receiver this season, maybe in the second half in Miami.
5:57And it was very encouraging that he came off of the NIFI list during camp and didn't open the season on PUP.
6:05So he would be a guy that often doesn't even get drafted, but it would definitely be on my stash list.
6:12I think if you're looking at stashes at wide receivers, it has to be the rookies.
6:18So it seems like Jacoby Lane's kind of already earning his role.
6:22It seems like Malachi Fields is as well. The John Stribbling, kind of the same thing.
6:27Denzel Boston's already a starter, but Omar Cooper and Antonio Williams, I think, are both stashes.
6:32And especially Williams, who is a guy that I liked a lot and has a couple of 30-plus-year-old wide receivers ahead of him.
6:40He could actually be the rare handcuff wide receiver.
6:43And then I got into a little disagreement yesterday on Twitter about Terrence Ferguson and not really understanding the theory of drafting
6:51him in a regular managed redraft league. And I do think the one case you could make is Puka's got some suspension and injury concerns.
6:59Devontae Adams is old and got hurt last year.
7:02Maybe Terrence Ferguson is a handcuff tight end that's actually a handcuff to a wide receiver.
7:08I understand exactly what you're saying there. And I think Caleb Douglas needs to be part of the wide receiver conversation here.
7:15I know you mentioned Chris Bell. I'm sure you're taking Douglas ahead of him.
7:20I don't know if you consider Douglas a stash.
7:23I do. I mean, there's like no way I'm putting him in my lineup early in the season unless he pops in week one.
7:31Yeah, I wasn't. I think he's going to be a starter week one.
7:36So I wasn't considering guys that I thought were starting for their team week one.
7:41Yeah, I just don't. I don't see him starting for fantasy teams week one.
7:46That's going to be like a 1% started. Yeah, that's a much longer list if we're expanding it to guys who are
7:53going to start for their own team but not for fantasy teams.
7:57Like who? Who do you think? Well, I mean, at the running back position, then we're now including Kyle Monongai and Blake Corum.
8:05And I would say probably one of Chuba Hubbard or Jonathan Brooks.
8:09At the wide receiver position, we're including Makai Lemon.
8:12I can make it a better conversation. Late round pick that you just want to put on your bench and see what happens.
8:20Casey Concepcion and Makai Lemon. Okay. And so like Douglas is even later than those guys, right?
8:26Oh, yeah. What do you think about Christian Kirk?
8:29Are we completely forgetting about him? I don't think about Christian Kirk.
8:33Were you a Christian Kirk guy last year? Yes, I was actually.
8:37Yeah. I'm just because Evans, like I'm an Evans guy, but he got hurt yesterday.
8:42So they're all hurt. Everyone's hurt. We keep saying stripling, but I'd be afraid that Demarcus Robinson or Christian Kirk would work in there too much.
8:51You know what I mean? Well, I think that they might play.
8:55I don't think there's any reason to expect that Christian Kirk's going to be better than Devo Samuel.
9:01Maybe he will be. But Devo's been better for pretty much their entire careers except for maybe one season.
9:08And so I would kind of go that it's Evans and then it's Devo and then it's stripling in terms of wide
9:15receivers that might matter in that offense. And there's been a lot of buzz about Demarcus Robinson.
9:21I almost put stripling on the stash list because I'm not sure that he's going to start week one if everybody's healthy.
9:28But who knows how long or if everyone will be healthy?
9:32Yeah. I mean, I think stripling kind of falls into the category.
9:36You know, he's probably going to be still fairly late round pick.
9:40Well, you never know. Last question. We're on the air now for eight minutes and 46 seconds.
9:46I've listened to about eight minutes and 44 of it.
9:50I may have missed this. Did you mention a Christian McCaffrey handcuffed?
9:54Do you have any clarity on that situation? As of this second, and I'm not drafting a Christian McCaffrey handcuff because I
10:01don't know if the guy who it's going to be will be healthy when it's time for them to be healthy.
10:08And I don't know which one it is really.
10:11But as of right now, my guess would be Kalon Black.
10:15He was back at practice and he was, I saw him running in a scrimmage with the football.
10:21And so I guess him for now, maybe in a week that we say it's Jordan James and a week later, it may be Zamir White.
10:30They sign him maybe. Like they've got a stable of running backs.
10:34Yes, they did sign him. They have sincere McCormick and Isaac Arendo and Jordan James and Kalon Black and Patrick Taylor.
10:41They won't have all of them. But yeah, but it's tough.
