Antonio Williams

PositiveRole58:50

Targeted on 40 percent of his routes; film has been good; Puka Nakua believes he could pop for the Commanders eventually, though currently playing less than Traylon Burks.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

NegativeProjection30:00

Baker Mayfield has been one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the league through three weeks with brutal throwing mechanics and a magnet for contact. He's been identified as the number one problem for the Buccaneers offense, and his poor play has limited the effectiveness of talented receivers like Emeka Buka despite good play design. Mayfield is out at least three weeks with a dislocated thumb, opening the door for undrafted free agent Jalen Daniels to potentially provide a spark.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeRole24:07

Bo Nix is checking down too quickly and egregiously to running back RJ Harvey before allowing plays to develop, which is limiting vertical passing opportunities and hurting receivers like Jalen Waddle. This early-read dependency mirrors Waddle's experience with the Miami Dolphins and is constraining the Broncos' offensive efficiency.

Insight page

Brandin Cooks

PositiveSleeper39:47

Speaker gives a hat tip to Cooks if he gets to the active roster, noting he's a really smart player and Kyle Shanahan is notoriously demanding on wide receivers; Cooks made an impact for Buffalo last year in a looser offensive scheme, so could be in fantasy consideration if he reaches the 49ers roster.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection36:32

Brock Purdy is playing MVP-level football and has not made a negative play yet. He's authored probably the two best quarterback games of the season from an adjusted net yards per attempt and EPA per play perspective (against Dolphins and Cardinals). The 49ers' elite pass protection (only 12 pressures in true pass sets all season, 10th team ever to not allow a sack in first three weeks) and first-read EPA per drop-back (number one by almost a full point) provide an exceptional environment. Purdy is making the quickest decisions and can scramble, though the schedule toughens with Broncos this week and Seahawks in Seattle.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeUsage32:00

Bucky Irving has shown inconsistency with three great plays followed by backbreaking mistakes; he was benched or suffered a setback in the fourth quarter of the recent game (hip injury, ice applied), and he had a drop in the game. While he makes people miss between the tackles, the rest of his game has not been clean, and his pass protection struggles are concerning.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeProjection35:59

Chris Godwin is averaging wide receiver 57 in points per game (6.3, 7.3, and 4 points across three weeks) and has been inconsistent. An 85-yard touchdown was called back due to a hold, but the play showed the most juice Godwin has displayed in the last two years, suggesting potential upside if the Buccaneers' quarterback situation improves.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeUsage41:26

CMC is only giving up touches if the team is up by 10+ points; the 49ers wide receiver finished usage is 27th or 28th across the league, with production flowing through Kittle, CMC, and Debo Samuel.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveValue2:00

Christian Watson was a round 4-6 wide receiver pick that people were excited about in the draft, and he has really delivered on that expectation through three weeks.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveValue60:53

Among running backs that were drafted, Chuba Hubbard is referenced as a comparison point for fantasy relevance; Puka Nakua suggests that after Hubbard, Ja'Cory Kroski-Meritt might have the best chance of being fantasy relevant among ball carriers in the Commanders backfield.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeBust3:03

Colston Loveland is identified as the worst round 4 pick through three weeks; the speaker notes prior discussion about Khalif Raymond's snap counts and production versus other wide receivers Luther Burton and Roma Dunze, suggesting Loveland's role and production have been disappointing relative to draft capital.

Insight page
PositiveBust3:03

Colston Loveland is the worst round four pick; his target share has collapsed from 31% last year to 10% over the first three games. While he's still running routes, they're mostly downfield isolation looks where he's not executing well. Khalif Raymond and Luther Burks are gobbling up the easy looks. The gap between Loveland and top-tier tight ends like Trey McBride and Brock Bauer won't close; best-case scenario is he reaches Sam LaPorta or Tyler Warren range. At 29.7 routes per game versus McBride's 36 and Bauer's 35, the route-running gap is structural and unlikely to change.

Insight page
NegativeUsage7:00

Colson Loveland has an average depth of target of 5.11 air yards, indicating he is receiving short-range passing opportunities in the Cardinals offense. While mentioned in the context of target distribution analysis, his specific role and usage trends are not elaborated beyond this metric.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveUsage10:32

DeAndre Swift started seven of nine drives in Week 3, representing a new rotation pattern with the Lions' running backs. Swift is currently RB6 or RB7 in usage, and the speaker expresses more comfort with Swift's role under Case Keenum than with the uncertainty of Tyson Bagent at quarterback.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

PositiveMatchup45:13

Dalton Schultz's Week 3 performance against Cincinnati (14 targets) exemplifies the optimal offensive attack strategy against the Bengals' weak middle-of-field coverage; the Steelers replicated this same passing chart approach, targeting linebackers and safeties over the middle, suggesting this is a repeatable blueprint for attacking Cincinnati's defense.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveValue2:00

DeVante Adams was a round 4-6 wide receiver pick that many draft analysts were hesitant about, but he has been electric through three weeks, delivering strong performance despite initial skepticism.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

NegativeProjection38:48

Debo Samuel had an 80-yard hook-and-lateral play that did not result in a catch, highlighting the 49ers' creative offensive designs. However, with Mike Evans potentially limited or unavailable due to rib injury, Debo becomes a primary receiving option for the 49ers despite the team's depleted wide receiver room.

Insight page
PositiveProjection40:21

Speaker believes Debo is getting really close to being a top 20 wide receiver, especially if Mike Evans is out; notes he looks really fast and beat the safety up the sideline on an 80-yard play, and continues to get backfield usage typical of his role.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveRole67:28

Puka Nakua notes Michael Pinnock's arrival as starting quarterback has immediately benefited Drake London; Pinnock "has the eyes right for Drake London," and London is described as "excellent," suggesting sustained target volume and production with the new quarterback.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue2:00

Garrett Wilson was a round 4-6 wide receiver pick that many draft analysts were hesitant about, but he has been solid through three weeks, delivering on his draft capital despite initial skepticism.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveUsage36:32

George Kittle is receiving wide-open targets down the field from Brock Purdy, benefiting from the 49ers' elite first-read EPA per drop-back (number one by almost a full point) and the team's smooth offensive execution. The speaker notes Kittle's targets are frequently wide open, and the offense is running hook-and-ladder plays and other creative designs that are working effectively.

Insight page
PositiveProjection40:52

Kittle keeps getting wide open and looks a little bit faster; had a play action touchdown late in a game where every linebacker bit on the play action; he hasn't slipped at all since the first game and is running full speed, looking awesome.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeProjection47:58

Puka Nakua expresses extreme concern for Isaiah Likely's fantasy viability given the Ravens' quarterback situation. Jameis Winston demonstrated poor arm strength in weeks 2-3, unable to complete basic routes to Likely (missing a six-yard hitch route where Likely had to defend the ball himself). With the team trading for J.J. McCarthy and planning to be run-heavy (29% neutral pass rate in week 3, lowest of the week), Likely's receiving volume and efficiency are at risk. The uncertainty around the quarterback position creates a floor-less scenario for the tight end.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

NegativeProjection49:10

Puka Nakua expresses skepticism about J.J. McCarthy's ability to improve the Ravens' offense despite the team trading a fifth-round pick for him. Nakua notes McCarthy 'has never been good in the NFL' and will face the challenge of learning a new offense when he enters, likely by week 6. The trade suggests the Ravens lost confidence in Jameis Winston's arm strength after weeks 2-3, but McCarthy's lack of NFL success means he won't salvage the situation for Ravens skill players like Malik Neighbors and Isaiah Likely.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeProjection24:07

JK Dobbins has a 24% rushing success rate and does not look as fast as he used to, though the speaker attributes much of the struggle to poor offensive line play and scheme issues rather than Dobbins alone. The Broncos' center and tight ends are struggling in run blocking, and the schedule opened with three top-10 defenses (Spags, Jaguars, Rams). Dobbins has not yet scored goal-line touchdowns and is expected to settle into playable flex territory rather than a featured back role. The speaker expresses concern that Dobbins may not be fantasy-relevant this season given the offensive line struggles and lack of early-down efficiency.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

NegativeProjection1:06

JSN is ranked number one in fantasy points over expected placement (points above ADP-adjusted baseline), indicating strong early-season performance relative to draft capital.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

NegativeInjury33:54

Jalen McMillan is injured again and expected to miss 6-9 weeks, continuing a pattern of injury issues that has plagued his early NFL career. Despite flashing some potential, his inability to stay healthy is a significant concern for fantasy relevance.

Insight page

Jalon Daniels

NegativeProjection30:00

Jalen Daniels, an undrafted free agent who earned the backup quarterback role in training camp, is taking over for Baker Mayfield (dislocated thumb, out 3+ weeks). The speaker notes Daniels has a live arm, is willing to stand in the pocket and deliver, works over the middle of the field, and has been praised by analysts like Nate Tice and Greg Cosell (who called him his favorite player in the draft). However, there's only about a one-in-ten chance he provides a meaningful spark given the historical rarity of undrafted free agent rookie quarterbacks succeeding. The Buccaneers face the Green Bay Packers this week, a struggling defense that could provide an opportunity for Daniels to generate some offensive flow.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeProjection47:28

Jameis Winston's re-entry as the Giants' full-time starting quarterback in Week 4 is viewed negatively; Puka Nakua described his Week 3 performance as 'brutal,' suggesting weather may have played a role but indicating limited optimism for his fantasy production going forward.

Insight page
PositiveProjection47:50

Puka Nakua assesses Jameis Winston's week 3 performance as a significant step back from week 1, with poor arm strength and accuracy throughout. Despite weather playing a role, Winston showed concerning mechanics: one-yard average depth of target, every throw was short and flat with no zip, defenders getting hands on middle throws, and incompletions on basic routes like a six-yard hitch to Isaiah Likely. Nakua notes Winston looked like 'a guy who spent all summer being a content creator' and suggests the Ravens may have traded for J.J. McCarthy because they believe Winston's arm 'might not be NFL caliber anymore.' The team is also planning to be run-heavy (lowest neutral pass rate at 29% in week 3), limiting his passing volume.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveProjection24:07

Jalen Waddle's floor is lower than expected through three weeks with 7.5 yards per target—well below his career average—and he's averaging wide receiver 23 in targets per game. The connection between Waddle and Bo Nix has been inconsistent, with late throws and drops contributing to underperformance; however, the speaker notes good route designs and coverage challenges (McDuffie, zone defense). Waddle is expected to remain a weekly starter despite ups and downs, with an upcoming tough matchup against the 49ers followed by easier defenses (Chargers, Seahawks, Cardinals, Chiefs, Panthers), suggesting he may settle into wide receiver 2/3 territory rather than top-12 potential.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveRole41:49

Warren had an awesome day in week three as the only running back on the Steelers; speaker notes this was one of their favorite picks in all of fantasy football and it paid off.

Insight page
PositiveUsage41:58

Since week two, Warren has played 106 of 114 snaps (93%) without Rico Dattle; at 93% snap share, he qualifies as a low-end RB1. Seven running backs this season with over 90% team touches averaged 21.5 PPR points in those games, a tier that includes Jahmeer Gibbs, Jonathan Taylor, and James Cook. Warren scored 19.1 half-PPR points in week three with RB14 usage; the turf monster was the primary reason he wasn't a top-three or top-four fantasy running back that week.

Insight page
PositiveProjection42:22

Strong conviction on Warren's outlook for Thursday night football against the Browns (slight favorites). As long as Rico Dattle remains unavailable, Warren's role is cut and dry; the speaker would like to see more of Warren on a routine basis going forward.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveUsage65:06

Jeremiah Love received 26 touches in week 3 after receiving 13 and 12 touches in weeks 1-2, following the same ramp-up pattern Michael Thor used with Breece Hall (12, 8, 14 touches before five weeks as featured back until injury). This touch progression suggests Love is being transitioned into a featured role.

Insight page
PositiveProjection65:06

Jeremiah Love is projected as a top-10 fantasy running back the rest of the way; Puka Nakua would rather have him than Ashton Gentey and Saquon Barkley. Love received 13 and 12 touches in weeks 1-2 before getting 26 touches in week 3, following Michael Thor's pattern with Breece Hall (12, 8, 14 touches before becoming featured). Despite tough sledding against strong defensive lines and linebackers in week 3, Love absorbed contact well and generated hidden yards.

Insight page
PositiveProjection66:37

Puka Nakua projects Jeremiah Love as a top 10 fantasy running back the rest of the way, preferring him over Ashton Gentey and Saquon Barkley; notes that Tyler Algier is "simply not good enough" and won't return to the role, positioning Love for top-five to top-ten usage going forward.

Insight page
PositiveValue66:37

Puka Nakua highlights Jeremiah Love as a strong value if drafted in the late round three range, particularly if paired with Kenneth Walker; emphasizes Love will be "one of the best clicks in fantasy" with top-five to top-ten usage going forward.

Insight page
PositiveRole66:41

Puka Nakua notes Jeremiah Love is very comfortable as a receiver with opportunities emerging; as a rusher, Love shows elite traits including spin move and acceleration, though slightly jumpy early; Nakua expects Love to "get his feet wet" and perform "really, really, really strong the rest of the way" with Tyler Algier no longer in the picture.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout67:27

Matt Kelley agrees with Puka Nakua's assessment, noting Love "passes the eye test in both phases" and will "end up being a really, really good value"; Kelley has drafted both Ashton Gentry and Jeremiah Love in the same draft, taking "ankle discounts" on both, and suggests Love could be the better play in a few weeks.

Insight page

Jordan Watkins

NegativeUsage39:20

Watkins was brought up on the waiver wire show with two catches for 60 yards despite playing only 30% of snaps; speaker is uncertain how to calibrate his fantasy relevance in the 49ers offense.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveProjection3:48

Jawan Johnson is running 36 routes per game, matching Trey McBride's elite route volume and significantly exceeding Colston Loveland's 29.7 routes per game.

Insight page

Kalif Raymond

NegativeBreakout3:08

Khalif Raymond is ripping away target opportunities from Colston Loveland and is executing well in Ben Johnson's offense. He's getting consistent looks including a well-designed deep post touchdown where Luther Burks' motion and Roma Dunze's slant cleared space for Raymond to run wide open. At 32 years old, Raymond could fade at any point, but currently there's nothing suggesting the snap/route distribution should change. He's a key part of the Lions' passing game distribution.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup6:30

Kalief Raymond ranks 26th in target share among NFL wide receivers. Against Philadelphia's defense, he is expected to get opportunities alongside Luther Burden, as Ben Johnson could dial up plays to exploit the Eagles' coverage tendencies. However, Raymond's average depth of target is 5.8 air yards, indicating shorter-range opportunities compared to deeper targets for other receivers.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeRole67:28

Puka Nakua notes Kyle Pitts' snap rate has declined to 59% in week three, reducing him from full-time player status; with Michael Pinnock at quarterback favoring Drake London, Pitts' upside is capped at 30-40 yards per game, and the snap rate decline is "not going to get there."

Insight page
NegativeProjection67:28

Puka Nakua states Kyle Pitts "is still never going to hit this year," especially with snap rate down to 59% in week three, no longer a full-time player; notes Pitts was "one of, if not the worst pick" in round six so far this season.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveUsage19:29

Kyron Williams is emerging as a premier receiving weapon for the Rams with 4.9 air yards per target among running backs with double-digit targets—easily the highest in the league; he's doubling up Devon Achan (2.4 air yards per target) on 12 targets with only two check-downs, demonstrating he's being deployed as a vertical threat rather than a dump-off option. The speaker prefers Kyron Williams over Saquon Barkley in fantasy and notes he plays 75% of snaps when the Rams are trailing or tied, with increased slot usage in recent games as a first-read target on quick outs and angle routes.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveUsage6:00

Luther Burden received 11 targets in Week 4, ranking 15th in target share among NFL wide receivers. His route share increased from 66% in the first two weeks to 77%, and he posted a career-high 20.4 expected half-PPR points (8.4 points above his previous high). He achieved a 26% team-high target share and ranks as WR19 in targets per game and WR13-14 in usage across the season. Against Philadelphia's defense, Puka Nakua expects Burden and Kalief Raymond to get the most opportunities, with Burden being the most optimistic play rest of season.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeBust47:34

Malik Navers, packaged as the worst third-round pick on the board, showed regression in Week 3 compared to Week 1; Puka Nakua expressed no hope for Navers' fantasy outlook, noting that while he may look better on tape, his on-field performance has declined and he's dealing with the volatility that comes with returning from serious injury.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

PositiveRole59:19

Puka Nakua considers Marcus Mariota the best backup quarterback in the league; he has thrived in certain matchups over the last three-plus years; his ability to keep the Commanders' offense afloat is positive news for the running back rotation and wide receiver usage.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeRole61:23

Marvin Harrison Jr. is not producing because he's playing a vertical X receiver role that isn't generating points and yards; his ranking looks bad because the role design isn't working, contrasting sharply with Michael Wilson who was ranked in the same tier but is now thriving with designed plays and quick looks.

Insight page
PositiveUsage62:18

Marvin Harrison Jr. has a 22% target share over the last eight games and is the wide receiver 24 in usage (or WR18 when removing games where he was inactive); this is a stark contrast to Michael Wilson, who is now WR7 in usage, indicating a significant role disparity despite being drafted in the same tier.

Insight page
NegativeRole64:11

Marvin Harrison Jr. operates as the X receiver in Drew Pettine's offense, which dictates his target allocation through the system's progressions; he will have games and moments when defensive looks favor the big-play sacrificial X receiver role, but the target distribution is becoming more equitable with Michael Wilson in the offense.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeRole44:14

Getting Michael Pittman back is noted as nice, although the connection with Aaron Rodgers in week three was not the best; the passing attack showed improvement but was largely driven by busted coverages from Cincinnati rather than sustained offensive execution.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveBreakout61:23

Michael Wilson is legitimately a really good player who was under-prioritized in the previous offense; he was the most drafted receiver on multiple platforms including Underdog due to his low ADP, and he delivered in Week 3 with seven catches against zone coverage, quick first-read looks, explosive plays on out cuts, and excellent breaking routes throughout the game.

Insight page
PositiveUsage61:35

Michael Wilson is now the wide receiver 7 in usage; the Cardinals designed a ton of stuff for him including first-read looks, quick releases, screens, slant routes, play-action near the goal line, and diving catches across all levels of the field; he delivered a touchdown on a 13-personnel play action that previously went to Marvin Harrison.

Insight page
PositiveProjection62:02

Michael Wilson has more upside ahead; the Cardinals offense has more meat on the bone, and while current quarterback play (Jacoby Brissett) limits downfield throws, future quarterback changes or scheme adjustments could unlock additional production for Wilson and other receivers like Marvin Harrison.

Insight page
PositiveProjection63:48

Over the last eight games with Marvin Harrison healthy, Michael Wilson has a 22% target share and WR18 usage, making him a fantasy starter; Puka Nakua projects him at the WR2-3 border with a flash of WR1 overall upside. Outside of duds against the Chargers and Seahawks in weeks 1-2, Wilson's remaining games have been WR1 caliber, suggesting the market undervalued him despite him playing better than Marvin Harrison Jr. over an 8-game sample despite being drafted after Harrison in every draft.

Insight page
PositiveRole64:11

Michael Wilson's role in Drew Pettine's offense is becoming more equitable compared to Marvin Harrison's X receiver role; the system previously dictated Harrison would get looks over Wilson based on progressions, but Wilson is a versatile receiver who checks many boxes and can generate production even without explosive third-level separation against zone coverage. Puka Nakua is buying Michael Wilson going forward.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury38:48

Mike Evans has had a nice start to the season after preseason groin and quad issues, but now has a rib injury on top of previous concerns. The speaker expresses worry about Evans' impending doom given the accumulation of injuries (groin, quad, rib, and hamstring concerns), suggesting he may be limited or unavailable this week.

Insight page
NegativeInjury38:51

Evans has had a stop-start preseason with groin and quad issues, and now has a rib injury on top of it; speaker is concerned about potential snap count reduction to 50% or even 30% in upcoming week.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeRole2:00

Puka Nakua is currently out, which has benefited DeVante Adams' production and role in the Chargers offense.

Insight page
NegativeInjury19:29

Puka Nakua is expected to miss another game due to injury, creating uncertainty about his return timeline and fantasy viability. The speaker expresses concern about trading him away, noting that fair value is difficult to establish; Christian Watson was discussed as a potential trade target but deemed not quite equal value, though the speaker would prefer Watson rest-of-season due to injury concerns with Nakua.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeUsage24:07

RJ Harvey is receiving absurd receiving usage from Bo Nix, who checks down to him frequently before allowing plays to develop. Harvey is also getting manufactured touches in the red zone alongside early-down work from JK Dobbins, though the speaker questions whether these early checkdowns are beneficial for the overall offense.

Insight page

Roman Wilson

NegativeRole44:23

Showed a little something in week three, but is an explosive athlete often mistaken for a good route runner; he is not a good route runner and is a sloppy receiver overall. Aaron Rodgers has been critical of him for missing landmarks. As a slot-based player running routes against poor coverage (Cincinnati), he will have occasional success, but week three is a one-game sample size.

Insight page
NegativeUsage45:01

After his drop turned into an interception in Week 3 against Cincinnati, Roman Wilson saw his snap count collapse from 20 snaps to just 5 snaps following Aaron Rodgers' adjustment; Jeremy Bernard took over with 15 snaps, suggesting the Steelers benched Wilson in response to the turnover.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

NegativeProjection4:03

Sam LaPorta represents the realistic ceiling for Colston Loveland's recovery; Loveland is expected to eventually reach LaPorta or Tyler Warren range rather than close the gap to elite tight ends like Trey McBride and Brock Bauer.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeRole11:05

In Week 3, Barkley received 11 carries for 73 yards in the first half but only 4 carries in the second half, reflecting Eagles' abandonment of the run in trailing situations. While Barkley himself does not look washed as an individual player, the rushing environment is significantly worse; the Eagles' outside zone success rate has declined from 10th to 20th this year, and the passing offense cannot keep pace in trailing situations, forcing run abandonment.

Insight page
NegativeProjection65:42

Puka Nakua would rather have Jeremiah Love than Saquon Barkley as a running back going forward, suggesting Barkley is ranked below Love in his top-10 RB projection for the rest of the season.

Insight page
NegativeProjection66:37

Puka Nakua prefers Jeremiah Love over Saquon Barkley as a top-10 fantasy running back rest of season, suggesting Love offers better upside going forward.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveProjection59:09

Puka Nakua projects both Stefan Diggs and Terry McLaurin inside top 30 for the week; Diggs is getting manufacturer touches and still looks explosive; Puka Nakua expects Commanders to exceed their 22-point projection, which is positive for Diggs' scoring opportunity.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveRole33:54

Ted Hurst is playing a ton of snaps for the Buccaneers as an ex-receiver and will play essentially every snap given the team's 11 personnel usage and lack of multiple tight ends. He's had some impressive moments in isolated looks against press man coverage and a 40-yard touchdown against Cleveland. The speaker sees potential for him to be a back-half-of-season fantasy option, though he needs to see more before considering him a current fantasy asset. His high snap count and role in the offense suggest he could develop into a viable option.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveUsage58:01

Slot rate increased to 21.6 percent, his highest since 2021; receiving a mix of vertical routes and quick slants (trend that started in Dallas week two and continued week three); this increased slot usage is positive for his target volume and route participation.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveProjection3:48

Trey McBride is among the elite tier of tight ends, running 36 routes per game—significantly more than Colston Loveland's 29.7. He's positioned well above Loveland and represents the ceiling for Loveland's potential recovery.

Insight page

Treylon Burks

NegativeRole58:25

Out-routed Antonio Williams in week three but receiving primarily space-clearing and sacrificial routes; targeted on only 10.5 percent of his routes compared to Antonio Williams at 40 percent; increased playing time over Antonio Williams is positive for Terry McLaurin and Stefan Diggs, not for Burks' own fantasy value.

Insight page

Tyler Higbee

PositiveRole19:29

Tyler Higbee is positioned as a primary receiving option for the Rams with Puka Nakua sidelined, and tight ends are outscoring wide receivers (33 points) and running backs (25 points) this season, making the tight end position particularly valuable in flex spots. Higbee can be considered a viable fantasy option given the Rams' receiving depth issues.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

NegativeProjection4:03

Tyler Warren represents the realistic ceiling for Colston Loveland's recovery; Loveland is expected to eventually reach Warren or Sam LaPorta range rather than close the gap to elite tight ends like Trey McBride and Brock Bauer.

Insight page

Tyson Bagent

NegativeRole10:00

Tyson Bagent is expected to remain benched in Week 4 against the Jets, with Case Keenum returning as the Lions' starting quarterback. The speaker suggests offensive coordinators and head coaches prefer the constraint of working with a backup quarterback, and Ben Johnson will likely continue to operate under this limitation in Week 4 and possibly Week 5.

0:00Welcome everyone to week four. This is Stats vs Film, the flagship show where as you know we look at all 16
0:06games that just happened, all 32 teams, and compare what we saw on the tape to the spreadsheets, the underlying metrics, and
0:13the stats to help you win your fantasy matchups.
0:15Moving forward you bully your friends, your league mates to continue on to 4-0 in your fantasy leagues.
0:20But just in case you're not, hey Winks, today it's a special day.
0:24Because you know, after three weeks there's a decent sample size here, a number of snaps maybe over 130, 140 for a lot of these players.
0:32That I think it's time to already bring up players that are giving the people the biggest headaches out there, aka the worst picks in certain rounds.
0:39I'm going to go through two through six when we talk about those teams individually and maybe see if there's any hope
0:46or if it's just time to cut bait and see what you can get in the trade market.
0:51How about that? Yeah, I posted a little fantasy points over a placement chart out there looking at the ADPs from the
0:57summer and what this metric is, is how many points you're scoring above the quarterback 12 above the running back 24 above
1:04the wide receiver 36 above the tight end 12 adjust for the flex position and then you're seeing who's actually performing well across position.
1:11So like right now, JSN's number one in that category.
1:13Right next to him is Jameer Gibbs, of course, but you can really see how there's a couple awesome picks early on
1:20and then there's a huge dead zone. Even just beyond this like round seven through eight and there's pretty much like no good picks.
1:27So it was a bad spot. Yeah, like from week or from round six to round eight.
1:32We knew it was bad. And guess what? It's been really, really bad.
1:35Yes. Matt, any thoughts on this for the first time?
1:38Yeah, it's funny. We talked so much. I know you guys did on your show.
1:42Obviously, we did on the forecast. Anytime we collaborated, we talked about this a lot that rounds like four to six wide receiver range.
1:49Yeah, man. Bunch of great picks there actually haven't been very many hits so far in that wide receiver grouping.
1:55I mean, you've got Garrett Wilson, the guy that a lot of people didn't really want to click.
2:00He's been solid here. Devante Adams is another guy that people didn't really want to click in that grouping.
2:06He's been electric with Puka Nakua out. Christian Watson is the one who's been one guy that people were excited about and has really delivered here.
2:13So yeah, definitely. It's always topsy-turvy at the wide receiver position, especially so you know what is down may come up at
2:20some point, but certainly it hasn't been a bunch of massive breakouts from that group so far.
2:25Okay, that's a bit of a tease. We'll go through each of these teams and definitely bring up the negatives.
2:30And again, I know that's where so much of your focus is of why these guys are only getting four or five
2:37points on my roster and not, you know, the 12 or 13 that I intended.
2:41Okay, how this show starts is we go through the 10 headline teams and then go through alphabetical order after that.
2:47And as always, we begin with the primetime games that we haven't talked about, at least on this channel.
2:52And so let's talk about the Chicago Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles.
2:56First up, the winning team, the Case Keenum led Chicago Bears.
2:59And Hayden, I'm going to start off negative. I'm going to continue this trend.
3:03Okay. There were a few bad picks in round four, but Colston Loveland is easily the worst.
3:08Okay. I know on this episode over the last two weeks, we've talked about Khalif Raymond and his snap counts and his
3:14production versus the wide receivers in Luther Burton and Roma Dunze.
3:17So the conversation actually be Khalif Raymond is ripping away any hope that we have from Colston Loveland.
3:23Well, the last four games last year, he had a 31% target share in the three games here.
3:28We're talking about a 10% target share. He's still out there running a lot of routes.
3:32I will say it's a lot more like downfield.
3:35And I think that's maybe to your point where the Khalif Raymond, obviously Luther burden, those type of players are gobbling up more of the easy looks.
3:43Colson Loveland still getting like some routes in isolation.
3:45I wouldn't say that he's crushing it in those routes either.
3:49Just like watching the tape back from this last year.
3:51And there's like a couple opportunities where they could have got got him going.
3:55And then also like just some bad luck. There's been some attempts like right at the goal line where he was not able to score touchdowns.
4:03So I think this one will eventually get back to like where it should be.
4:07But the gap between Trey McBride and Brock Bauer versus Colston Loveland, we are not going to close that gap.
4:13Like that gap is long gone. Now it's like, can we get back to Sam Laporta, Tyler Warren, that type of type of range.
4:20And I think he will get there, but it has not been very promising.
4:24Yeah, I would just say real quick too about the Colston Loveland thing.
4:28It's he's at 29.7 routes per game. Trey McBride is at 36.
4:31Jawan Johnson, by the way, is at 36 as well.
4:34Brock Bauer is in one game, 35 routes per game.
4:37So that that's that you're right. That gap is unless something really changes here.
4:41That's not going to close. And I obviously was kind of ahead of ADP on all of these top three bears pass catchers.
4:48It was pretty likely that one was not going to work out right now.
4:52We've got two that aren't really working out, but the Loveland one is the one that stings here.
4:57And I really do think Kalief Raymond is a huge part of this man.
5:01I was watching this game back this morning, specifically charting Kalief Raymond, which is not a thing I thought I'd be saying
5:07in week three of the NFL season. But here we are.
5:10But here we are. And there's just so much that he's doing.
5:14Yeah, I wouldn't say it's like, oh my God, he's blowing me away, but he's just executing the assignment specifically like his
5:20Ben Johnson was cooking in that game last night to specifically his touchdown.
5:24The deep post route is so well designed. It's a great example of how everything works together.
5:29Luther burden goes in motion and occupies two defenders on the right side of the field.
5:33Roma duns. They runs like a quick slant. He's open.
5:36It brings down Quinn. Young Mitchell there. So then the space is just cleared wide open in the middle of the field
5:43for Kalief Raymond to run this post route again, completely wide open.
5:46He catches it outruns Andrew McCuba, who had a really tough night at the office in Monday Night Football.
5:52And that was it. And he just is continuing to get these looks.
5:55And I don't think like he's at this point, he's a 32 year old player.
6:00It can just kind of fade at any point for a guy like this.
6:04But right now there's nothing that says this should change in terms of the distribution of snaps routes, etc.
6:09He really changes the picture for all of these guys.
6:12Yeah, you mentioned that Ben Johnson was cooking. He will never admit this and no offensive play caller ever admit this.
6:18But I do wonder if those guys kind of love when these veterans for the last time get to get on the
6:24field and just let it rip and they get to showcase whatever cool stuff that they want to, you know, and then
6:31they get all the credit for it along with that guy maybe playing his last start in his last game, you know,
6:37and Ben Johnson was all over this. And it was just really fun to see.
6:41It was really fun to see. On top of this, I love seeing Luther Burden getting 11 targets.
6:46Now, if we look at target share ranks among NFL wide receivers, JJ Zacharyson posted this Luther Burden right now is 15th.
6:53Kalief Raymond is at 26th. Roman Dunze at 60th.
6:55We did see a slight change here for Luther Burden.
6:58I understand he's still not playing, you know, some 12 personnel to wide receiver looks.
7:03But at the same time, we care most about route shares and dropbacks and all that type of stuff.
7:08He was at 66% for the first two weeks.
7:11Now he's up to 77%. And Hayden, once again, if we think about what this Philadelphia Eagles defense does well in terms
7:17of protect down the field, and then what, you know, Ben Johnson could dial up here for Case Keenum, it would make
7:23sense that Luther Burden and Kalief Raymond will get the most opportunities in this game.
7:28But I'm so optimistic of Luther Burden way more than I am.
7:31The other two names rest of season. 20.4 expected half PPR points was a career high by 8.4.
7:36Previous to that 26% target share was a team high for him.
7:40He's the wide receiver 19 in targets per game.
7:42And I think that he's got like the easiest part of the offense right now.
7:47Obviously, you get that little underhand play where he just I mean, what an awesome touchdown by Luther Burden there.
7:52So he's the one that feels the best. He's actually like the wider receiver 13.
7:5714 in usage across the season. That was a little bit surprising to me.
8:01Because the last two games, they got him going a little bit more than in that first one.
8:06And I do think that the snaps are going to kind of consolidate around these players like we're not doing the Walker stuff anymore.
8:13Roma Doons is a full time player, but he's not getting any of the easy stuff.
8:17And then he's dropping the easiest targets of his life, which is super frustrating.
8:21So I think if you were going to rank them, it would be Luther Burden.
8:26I would say that he's an upside like wider super 23 player.
8:29And then everyone else is just kind of a wait and see.
8:33Yeah, I think that right. I think that's right.
8:35I mean, the average depth of target really tells the story here with these guys.
8:40Roma Doons a 17.8. Colson Loveland 5.11 7.2 for Luther Burden and then 5.8 for Kalief Raymond and the Roma Doons a 17 air yards per target.
8:47Yeah, the drop. I mean, Hayden, you and I talked about this on the recapture last night.
8:52It was it was so frustrating. I actually woke up last night in the middle of the night to go to the
8:59bathroom and stayed awake for 20 minutes. In the middle of the night thinking about it.
9:03Now I like I couldn't get back to sleep because I was so bothered by it.
9:08I didn't have like any fans. I don't have any fantasy matchups riding on it.
9:12It just bothered me so much personally because it's so frustrating.
9:15Otherwise, he looks so good. He separates extremely well, but you can't.
9:19You're not going to get a lot of opportunities in this offense.
9:22So you can't drop the ones coming your way because it's too crowded.
9:26And, you know, this is just a general theme right now.
9:29In the receiver world is that if you are an X receiver and you are not clearly the best wide receiver on
9:35your football team, you're going to be a really difficult player to predict on a week to week basis in fantasy.
9:42We can go down the list of teams that fall in that category.
9:45Some of the ones we'll talk about today. So yeah, it's very much like a dude is going to have good games because he's a good player.
9:53But fantasy wise, difficult to trust and definitely difficult to trust.
9:56If you're going to drop the football wide open in the end zone.
10:00Matt to close this one out quickly. There's no way Ben Johnson goes to Tyson Bajit in week four against the Jets, right?
10:07It's case Keenum back again. Oh, yeah. I mean case Keenum was great.
10:10He executed the assignment. I think to your point, Josh, I'd go one step further and say these offensive coordinators, play callers,
10:17head coaches, they relish the option of having their hand tied behind their back for a few weeks and having to try to figure it out.
10:24This is what this is what they live for.
10:27So I think Ben Johnson will be living for it once again in week four, maybe week five as well.
10:32DeAndre Swift started seven of nine drives, which was a new kind of rotation with with the running backs there.
10:38So I'm not sure if like we have like a good theory on why that is.
10:43But right now, DeAndre Swift's the RB six on RB seven usage.
10:46And I feel a lot more comfortable with case Keenum, rather than like the mystery box of Beijing.
10:51I have a theory revenge game. That's simple. Maybe it's a narrative.
10:55Maybe it's not. But you know, revenge game to play more starting to start the series than common on guy.
11:01Okay. Speaking of let's go to the opposition here in the Philadelphia Eagles and guys.
11:05I'm going to be selfish here open. Okay, because boy, did it look good for my Saquon Barkley thoughts and bags and feelings heading into the week.
11:13In the first half, 11 carries for 73 yards, and then just four carries in the second half.
11:18So while you know, there's been some washed allegations for Saquon Barkley, I think at least to my eyeballs, as an individual,
11:24he did not look washed, especially when he was given the line of scrimmage.
11:28But Harmon, I am very concerned that this rushing environment is washed for, you know, four straight quarters that the defense is
11:35not playing up to their standards for the first three weeks.
11:38And then that the passing offense, if they get in trailing situations, can't keep up.
11:42And that leads to them totally abandoning the run in the second half.
11:46I think all your concerns are valid. And yeah, I don't really, I mean, Saquon Barkley washed.
11:51I don't think he looks washed at all. I don't think he looked washed last year.
11:55And so far this year, it has, it has looked totally fine with Saquon Barkley as an individual player, but the environment is significantly worse here.
12:03They're trying to run more outside zone. Their success rate is down from 10th on zones, zone runs to 20th this year.
12:09That's been actually one of the few, one of the few changes.
12:13They're trying to do that. Not really pushing the schematic advantages in the passing game is our show as I'm sure we'll
12:19talk about, but yeah, Barkley, I think looks fine.
12:22I mean, when you give him a lane, he can explode.
12:25We saw some of that early on, but yeah, the, the, the way the offense is playing right now, overall, the way
12:31the defense took has maybe taken a little step back.
12:34This is another thing too, again, like league wide trends.
12:37You can have these great cornerbacks and great pass rush defensive line.
12:40But if you've got safeties and linebackers and safeties is the main one for the Eagles last night, Ben Johnson toyed with those guys.
12:47If you don't have good play down the spine of the defense, especially at the second and third level, you're going to
12:54get picked on by these good coordinators right now.
12:56So maybe the Eagles are not a top three defense, but maybe more of six or seven.
13:01And there's usually a pretty big Delta between the first and six best defense in the league, which is a problem for Saquon Barkley.
13:08They also can't block with their tight ends right now or their wide receivers, which is like hurt, you know, the Makai lemon stuff.
13:15And like, that's for some really bad, like, uh, like third and longs and like some punts there.
13:20But for, for Saquon Barkley, he's the RB 42 in receptions per game, you know, like you got, and you also have to worry about the tush push.
13:28So unless he's ripping off long touchdowns, it's just hard to make the math works.
13:32I think right now he's gonna be outside my top 12 in, in, uh, by running back rankings, um, until proven otherwise.
13:39I, I think that that stinger, they've not been playing him quite as much.
13:43They're doing a little bit more with Will Shipley, obviously tank bigs, he gets involved a little bit as well.
13:49Um, but like that little difference there on top of things makes it hard to make the math work.
13:54I don't know. The will shiply stuff to me is not much of a change because it's like the four minute drills, the pure passing situations.
14:01And, you know, Saquon is not going to get the ball in that environment either.
14:06Like, again, they just don't dump it off. And actually the one that he could have caught last week or excuse me,
14:12last night, um, that was under thrown. Like there was a huge Canyon of space in front of them there.
14:18So it's just frustrating to watch. And again, they have the Rams and the Jaguars coming up these next two games.
14:24And I just wonder if this offense can like keep pace with all of that.
14:28We, we don't have to reiterate this Jalen hurts conversation again.
14:31I mean, everyone that's watched the channel for a long time kind of knows my feelings on it.
14:37That when the team has an offensive play caller that can have Jalen hurts, feel comfortable, then they can maybe extract some
14:43plays and some passing concepts out of him that he typically doesn't feel uncomfortable or doesn't feel comfortable accessing.
14:48Um, that has been the Shane Sykins that has been the Kellen Moores.
14:52Right. Uh, and then if they can't do that, you get play callers that the fan base wants to fire after three games.
14:59And Sean Mannion is kind of on that trend so far a little bit here.
15:03So it's, it's, I mean, they just have to completely Matt, get rid of the Makai lemon passes behind the line of scrimmage.
15:10Not one of those has worked. And then on top of it, like be consistent in your decision-making on fourth downs.
15:16Hayden, I talk about this all the time where you can be aggressive, but you have to constantly be aggressive.
15:22Or if you constantly want to punt and you have to punt in every single one of those situations and the series
15:28first one, fourth and one take the delay of game.
15:31And the second series in the exact same spot, go for it on fourth and six makes zero sense when you zoom out from this regard.
15:38Yeah. I don't need to see another Makai lemon plays the Jaden Reed role again in my life, like those types of
15:45targets and like take those plays and throw them in the trash can.
15:48And, and to your point, just about the way that this Eagles offense feels right now, it feels exactly the same as it ever has.
15:55I mean, they're dead last in play action rate this year.
15:59They're down from 24% to 9% use of heavy personnel is down.
16:02Of course, we know their injuries are a big part of it.
16:06They're 26 and under center rate. They were 30th in motion last year.
16:09They're 30th this year. What's old is new again.
16:12Like this is the Jalen hurts offense. And honestly, at this point, I'd, I'd maybe just completely lean into that.
16:18Like again, the, the, the, some of the other things like the screens and stuff, not really working.
16:23You have three talented receivers. I'd like to see Makai lemon used in more of kind of the intermediate area.
16:29He's been just hit or miss to me. I don't think his film has been awesome, but it hasn't been disgusting.
16:35So can you get him a little bit more ramped up in ways that make sense?
16:39Cause at this point, I think this is just what it's going to be.
16:43It's going to be a kind of a spread and shred type of attack.
16:47And I think they have the three receivers to essentially get that done.
16:51And then again, to your point about the decision-making too, what's old is new.
16:55Again, it's like, what does Nick Sirianni do here?
16:58Big Dom is trying to get himself on camera more and more.
17:01It's again, same old stuff for Philadelphia. Not a lot of changes here, which is unfortunate.
17:06Maybe by the end of the season, it could be different, but three games in three good matchups too.
17:11It's like I said, just more of the same.
17:14I got nothing to add. Anyone to add Hilton?
17:16No. Okay. Last thing I'll add is that last season, they were the worst in terms of three and outright across the NFL and they should their 28th.
17:24So again, it's everything's the same. It just fricking sucks.
17:27And I don't think that I overestimated Saquon Barkley's individual talent.
17:30I think that's out there. What I overestimated was their ability to have a stable rushing environment and getting back to a really good blocking offensive line.
17:38And that's just not there at this point. Maybe it gets to that point because the Eagles have been one of the
17:45best franchises in the NFL for, let's say the last decade, but it's certainly not looking good right now.
17:50Okay. Let's go to the Los Angeles Rams. I know you guys have both talked about this, but I want to bring
17:56up that the Rams and despite the Pukunakua injury are still able to find specific targets.
18:01And it is Hayden number one, Devante Adams. And then number two, whatever tight end is out there in a pass catching situation.
18:08So talk about Devante Adams Hayden and then also talk about who that tight end might be in week four for not
18:14just people's tight end spot, but also flex possibilities.
18:17Well, first of all, on the Devante Adams front, he looks awesome individually.
18:20I mean, he roasted Pat Sertan for the entire game.
18:23Like there was a lot of one-on-one opportunities, some off coverage, some press coverage and was awesome on it.
18:29He also like split that safety on the like little choice route over the middle.
18:33And that was like the fastest I can remember him running as a Los Angeles Rams.
18:38Like once again, completely has it. Even if Pukunakua is back in the lineup, I think he will still be a top 15 wide receiver.
18:45We don't know if Pukunakua is going to be back.
18:48There's that's still like a complete mystery to me, which brings me to the tight end room.
18:53Tyler Higby stepped right into the Terrence Ferguson role after that ankle injury.
18:56And then Colby Parkinson, he's going to be questionable this week with an AC joint and a knee injury.
19:02I'm going to guess that both of those players miss.
19:05And then all of a sudden, like we were fired up to start Terrence Ferguson.
19:09Colby Parkinson was a top 15 tight end last year.
19:12Like to me, Tyler Higby is the name that has gone overlooked ahead of the waiver wire.
19:17If you are in tight end trouble right now, you can get Tyler Higby probably for free on the waiver wire.
19:23And he's done this before. And I thought that he had a couple of nice plays on tape as well.
19:29It's like, there's only so many guys they can get the ball to like Mumfield.
19:33That's as much as they're going to get Whittington as much.
19:36They're going to get, you can't get Davis Allen in there too much either.
19:40Like to me, it's going to be obviously Devante Adams.
19:43Then it's going to be Tyler Higby, assuming Pukenaku is going to miss another one.
19:47You know, he's been getting the football a lot in the passing game is also Kyron Williams.
19:52I was kind of stunned to look at his receiving usage.
19:554.9 air yards per target for Kyron Williams. Among running backs with double digit targets, that's easily number one.
20:01Number two is Devon Achan, you know, obviously no longer in our lives.
20:042.4. He's doubling up Devon Achan on his 12 targets in terms of the air yards.
20:09Only two of them have been check downs too.
20:12So that's like how Kyron Williams goes from a guy that's, you know, super consistent and we really like to really being
20:18another, another level of weapon for your fantasy teams this year.
20:21Like I was just talking about this with Ray on the forecast for the data dump show.
20:26Would you rather have Kyron Williams or Ashton Gentry in fantasy?
20:29I think I said, I said Kyron Williams, like, would you rather have Saquon Barkley or Kyron?
20:34I would go Kyron in that situation, especially with, they need to find different answers.
20:38I think Tyler Higbee can be an answer, but you know, Kyron Williams as a receiver, this is a big part of it too.
20:45Totally. Again, he either scores a touchdown when they, you know, post 26 points or if they're trailing or tied, he plays
20:52like 75% of snaps like they, like he did in this game.
20:55So it's a, it's a sweet role that he has in offense that totally trusts him.
21:00Go ahead. They had him in the slot a lot more, uh, in this last game, I think because they're missing so many bodies out there.
21:07And earlier in the game, there was two, uh, quick outs from the slot that were both completed.
21:12And then on that pick six for who Funga, uh, that was also a slot, uh, quick out and who Funga just ripped it.
21:19And, uh, he wasn't even supposed to be defending Kyron Williams for the pick six.
21:24And then of course, later on in the game, uh, the Rams look like they're gonna do another, uh, quick out to Kyron Williams.
21:31He busted back inside for an angle route. It's a little cat and mouse going out there, but I think to your
21:37point, just he's like in the slot as like a first read target on some of these passes as well.
21:43So I think that he's a, no doubt about it.
21:46Uh, top 10 fantasy running back right now. Okay.
21:48To your point, Hayden, on Tyler Higbee, um, we record the waiver show with Joel before the T Ferg news hit and obviously the Parkinson stuff.
21:56So he definitely would have been named that I was going to mention.
21:59So again, when we're getting to this point with flexes, never has it been a better position to consider, and I'll just
22:06use the word consider tight ends in your flex spot this year.
22:09I mean, it's outscoring the wide receiver 33 and like the running back 25 this year.
22:14So that's a very notable, Matt, I want to send to you and Hayden, I want your answer to this question.
22:20A lot of people out there drafted Puka Nakua.
22:22What should they do? Should they trade him? Should they trade for him?
22:26And if you were to trade him away, name one player that you think is like fair value for him at this point.
22:33I mean, fair value for him. You're not going to, you're probably not going to get fair value for him.
22:39I feel like you just want me to throw some names at you.
22:42Yeah. Throw some names at me. I mean, cause there's a few, I think I'd like what's, what's fair.
22:48What's relevant. Would you trade Puka Nakua straight up for Christian Watson?
22:51No. Hayden? I would take Puka, but that's close.
22:54Yeah. Okay. Well, I'm not going to go any lower than that.
22:57Like the next one, I would have said yes.
23:00Like I would rather have Christian Watson rest of the season, I think than, than Puka Nakua just because I am kind
23:06of terrified of, of the injury stuff here with this.
23:09I mean, the next question I was going to ask is like Parker Washington, but that's, you know, wide receiver 10 at this point.
23:16So you guys are more optimistic than I am that Puka is going to come back and look extremely solid.
23:22Versus I think Christian Watson has obviously an injury history on top of it, but has this very stable position and production
23:28that we've seen so far with him too. Yeah.
23:31I would just be a little worried about like their, the bottom falls out on the Packers completely, but you know, the
23:37Rams look a little shaky as well. So we'll see.
23:40Chris Olave. Oh yeah. Easily. I would take a lot.
23:43Like I would take like the Olave Z flowers types.
23:46I know flowers is not like a hundred percent healthy right now.
23:49I would take those guys for sure. I had a Puka right now, but I don't know if I'd go all the
23:55way down to the Christian Watson types. Okay. I just, I just wanted to gauge that.
24:00Okay. Let's next take it to their opponents who came back in one.
24:04It is the Denver Broncos. Um, Hayden talk about Jalen Waddle.
24:07Um, we had week one, then we had week two and now we have week three.
24:11What are your thoughts just overall of us hyping up Jalen Waddle so much this summer?
24:16And if that's going to hit for us on a weekly basis, the floor is definitely lower than I thought it was going to be.
24:23Just the whole connection between Nick's Waddle and then Davis Webb, like has just not been all that clean.
24:29Uh, just 7.5 yards per target is way below his career yards, uh, per target.
24:33He's had another drop here. There's been a couple, I would say late throws from, from Bo Nix.
24:38And then I will say in that game, I did think that there was some nice routes from, from Waddle and like some good play designs.
24:46And then just the Ram just had great coverage on it.
24:49They either McDuffie or just the zone defense as well.
24:52Like that's just like the reality of it. It's kind of a boring answer, but there was a couple like near misses
24:58for like, for a couple more extra plays there.
25:01But, uh, wide receiver 23 and targets per game.
25:03I probably would have thought he's going to be higher than that.
25:07Um, they at least got him on that little end around for 14 yards, broke a tackle there.
25:12But yeah, it's been like maybe a half step worse than I thought it was going to be.
25:17I feel pretty similar to how Hayden does where the floor is just a little lower than I wanted it to be.
25:23I do think that, um, Jalen Waddle has got to be having a little bit of PTSD when it comes to the,
25:30to how fast he would get that ball out and get to the check down.
25:34Like Bo Nix is so it's egregious. Sometimes you got to let that play develop man before you get to the RJ Harvey check down.
25:41I mean, Harvey's receiving usage is absurd and I don't know that those plays are all that good for the offense.
25:47So, uh, that was something that Waddle experienced a lot.
25:50Certainly, uh, with the Miami dolphins where the balls out before the routes can even really develop.
25:55And yeah, I think his route tree is a little bit more vertical than I would have thought.
26:00Um, you know, I thought there were going to be more kind of gimmies in here, but they've spread that thing out
26:07a little bit more than I would have thought.
26:09But still at the same time, Niners this week, chargers, uh, the week after that, I mean, Waddle is going to be
26:16in my lineup every single week and you're just going to have to kind of live with some of the ups and downs.
26:22Yeah. We kind of have to ping pong it here a little bit where it's the 49ers, which might be a little bit rough this week.
26:30Then we get the chargers. That's nice. Then it's Seattle.
26:33Then it's Arizona. Then it's the chiefs. Then it's the Panthers.
26:36So it's almost like an off and on type thing.
26:39And rather than being once again, this consistent top 12 potential wide receiver that was in the range of outcomes.
26:44I thought, uh, he might kind of settle into, you know, the wide receiver two slash three territory that we actually drafted him in.
26:51That's going to have some highs and some lows on top of it.
26:55But guess what? That is what fancy football is at this point.
26:58Hey, anything you want to add about the running back room without Jenna Coleman here?
27:03It was kind of the same thing with JK Dobbins getting the early down work.
27:07Then RJ Harvey's going to mix in for, for some of the, the check downs, but also some of like the manufacturer touches in the red area.
27:15Dobbins has a 24% rushing success rate. Watching that game back, the center is really struggling.
27:19The tight ends are also struggling as well. I think that JK Dobbins does not look quite as fast as like he
27:26used to, but I think a lot of these plays are kind of like dead on arrival at this point.
27:32We have not seen the goal line touchdowns for JK Dobbins.
27:35I think that will get better. And I think the schedule like was pretty rough to open up.
27:40You get spags, the Jaguars and the Rams. They're like, those are probably three potential top 10 defenses this year to open up the schedule.
27:47So I wouldn't be surprised. Like Dobbins kind of settles in as like a playable flex.
27:52I think RJ Harvey's kind of right there as well.
27:55And then hopefully Waddle can kind of get things going, but I don't, I don't really expect Harvey to eat into JK
28:01Dobbins early down work for a little bit here.
28:04Yeah. I'll just maintain that this back, it really doesn't matter.
28:07And the scene just kind of has to play better.
28:10Not any of them to matter. If I'm just a little nervous, Matt, that JK Dobbins is going to be fancy relevant for us this season.
28:17Yeah. And in the run game, just the way it has been right now from a success standpoint and the lack of
28:23it with JK Dobbins, I think it's also put the offense in bad down and distance situations too.
28:29So hopefully that can get corrected. And I think the point is right here that there's a lot of things going on
28:35with, I think JK Dobbins, maybe look, he's another year older, a lot of injuries, not a lot of tread on the
28:41tires, but a lot of injuries on the car here.
28:44And that also just run game schemes a little, it's just the Davis web part of it.
28:49It still remains like, what was, what was the point of all this?
28:53Are we sure this was the best idea for the football team?
28:56And certainly you feel that in both the run of the past game.
29:00All right. We have a new starting quarterback to talk about before we get there.
29:04Let's hear from DraftKings. Football gives you plenty to debate before kickoff and even more to follow once the games begin.

29:41The crown is yours. New starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
29:44His name is Jalen Daniels, a story we don't hear very often.
29:47An undrafted free agent quarterback, earned the quarterback two job in training camp.
29:51That is quite uncommon. You know, Baker Mayfield is out at least three weeks with a dislocated thumb.
29:56Hayden, Baker Mayfield has been one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the league.
30:00He has a magnet to contact. His throwing stuff has been brutal on top of it.
30:05Could Jalen Daniels actually be a positive when we look at him at Kikbuca's season for the next three or four games?
30:11I'm serious. I'm not sure about that. We're talking about undrafted free agent.
30:15I will say this. I did go back and watch all this preseason stuff.
30:19And then obviously there's like just Hail Mary attempts there.
30:22He wants to throw the ball deep. I think his arm is pretty live.
30:26He's not super mobile, but he can run a little bit.
30:29And he's played a bunch of snaps. Every single person that's really been around him has said he's really smart.
30:35And then, you know, like Nate Tice was like saying, hey, this guy's kind of nice.
30:40And then I was listening to Greg Cosell talk about his favorite player in the draft was Jalen Daniels.
30:45Like there's more to the story than other undrafted free agents.
30:48But at the same time, like what? There's a one in 10 chance that he like has a little spark here.
30:54You know, it's just like kind of the history of the being a rookie quarterback as an undrafted free agent.
31:00I mean, I'm open to anything, Josh, because this is open.
31:03I think I think this has been the most annoying team to watch or the most frustrating team to watch, which is
31:10saying something through the first three weeks of the season, because there's so much that looks good from a design standpoint.
31:16Like Ted Hurst has given him a little something.
31:18Some I think Emeka Buka has been just wide open on so many plays.
31:22And then him and I don't know if it's like Mayfield and him aren't on the same page, which is bizarre because
31:29they played a whole season together last year. And I love the way they're getting a Buka in motion.
31:34He, to me, is a great I mean, it's hard to say because, I mean, Mayfield's, I guess, tied to this team for the long term.
31:41But a Buka feels like a guy that in three weeks is going to be an awesome dynasty by if Jalen Daniels comes out and doesn't play well.
31:50But I'm open to anything because Baker has been that bad.
31:53Like he truly has been the number one problem for this team.
31:56And he's not the only problem. I mean, Bucky Irving looks good.
32:00But Bucky Irving also, he'll have like three great plays and then a backbreaking mistake to go along with it, too.
32:06The offensive line is supposed to be one of the best units in the league.
32:10And I think it's probably more of a schematic or, you know, Baker Mayfield not identifying blitzes coming in because they're just getting smoked by these blitzes.
32:18And the pressure looks from Flores in week three, which everybody does.
32:21But still, like this is a veteran quarterback, veteran offensive line.
32:24It shouldn't be this bad. But my God, this team has been brutal, brutal to watch through three weeks.
32:30Yeah. The two things about the Bucks heading into the season was that their offensive line was supposed to be top three in the league.
32:37And then, you know, they were supposed to add a whole bunch of their pass rush with Ruben Bain and some other players.
32:44And that just hasn't quite worked out as planned.
32:46And so if like the two gold star maybe focuses of your offseason aren't painting out, then you're in a struggle.
32:52And their own three. Hayden, I went back and watched the same thing.
32:56Like with Jalen Daniels, he stands in the pocket.
32:59He's willing to stand and deliver there. He has a strong arm.
33:02He will work over the middle of the field, which is where a lot of the Mecca Buka stuff is going to happen.
33:09Again, I don't want to shout for the rooftops.
33:11This guy's going to be, you know, the next XYZ quarterback that we've seen make this huge transition from undrafted free agent.
33:18However, again, it's been so brutal with Baker and they get the Green Bay Packers this week, albeit off a couple extra
33:24days rest, but they are struggling at every level of their defense too.
33:28I'm slightly optimistic here that it might not, you know, reach the peaks of where we drafted Mecca Buka, but at least
33:34like give some flow to this offense in a way that it just has felt disjointed and broken these last couple of weeks.
33:41He's still the wide receiver 26 and usage like the underlying stats have been like totally fine.
33:46I think that they're still like working to get him to like be the guy in the offense.
33:51Like you just see like the motion snaps like he's moving across the formation.
33:55Um, and I think he is getting pretty open as well.
33:58Like Matt, uh, said there, uh, pivoting to the, the running back situation.
34:02Fourth quarter was very interesting. Bucky Irving got absolutely truck stick in, in pass protection.
34:06And I don't know if he had like a setback to his shoulder or if they just like outright benched him, but he did not play.
34:13They put ice on his hip. All Kenny Gatwell.
34:16Okay. So his hip, not his shoulder. That, I guess that's, I guess that's fine.
34:20Um, but he got absolutely lit up there and he had a drop in this game.
34:25It's, it's up and down with Bucky. Like he makes somebody miss in, uh, between the tackles.
34:30And then I think kind of the rest of everything with Bucky Irving has not been like that clean as well.
34:36Matt, can I ask you one question? We have Jalen McMillan who's hurt again for the next what?
34:41Six or eight or nine weeks. Um, Ted Hurst has been playing a ton of snaps.
34:46Ted Hurst is the only player of his styling on this offense.
34:49Ted Hurst had a 40 yard touchdown down the scene.
34:52That was quite nice. He was at a ton of high variance targets against the Cleveland Browns, uh, in pivotal situations.
34:58What have you seen from Ted Hurst coming out of Georgia state?
35:02Yeah. Jalen McMillan. It's unfortunate. He just, I just don't think he can stay healthy.
35:06It's like one thing after another with him, uh, which is unfortunate because he's flashed a little bit.
35:11Ted Hurst is some good. Some bad is the way I would describe it.
35:15Um, which is kind of the case, honestly, for all of these rookies, some good, some bad.
35:20Um, you know, I think I need to see more to kind of consider him as a fantasy option or someone that should even be rostered.
35:27Uh, but certainly like he's out there for every single snap.
35:31He's going to pretty much be out there for every single snap because he's an ex receiver.
35:36And I think he's had some impressive moments in isolated looks against press man coverage.
35:40But, you know, to Hayden's point, like you can tell when you watch a team who they're designing things around and it's
35:46so clearly focused on like, um, I should be getting the ball 10 times a game.
35:51The fact that he doesn't is, is pretty concerning, but I do like, I think Ted Hurst is off to a nice start to his NFL career.
35:59And I could see him being, depending on what the hell this offense looks like, I could see him being a back
36:05half of the season type of player. And I say that because they live out of 11 personnel.
36:10You know, they, they don't have multiple tight ends that they like to use as much.
36:15And so he's just going to play a ton of snaps for here and outs.
36:19Um, yeah, go ahead, Matt. I mentioned that all these tight end route stats earlier.
36:23Kate Otten is up there with like 34 routes per game.
36:26It's just like, not like nothing happens. Wind sprints, but like five yards down the football field.
36:31So yeah. Chris Godwin right now is wide receiver 57 in points per game, 6.3, 7.3, and then four points this past week.
36:38Um, I will say an 85 yard touchdown called back.
36:41It was a correct call. I mean, it was a hold Baker Mayfield would have gotten leveled, but it did show, uh,
36:47maybe the most juice that Chris Godwin has shown, uh, over the last two years.
36:52Okay. Next team. Let's talk about the San Francisco 49ers.
36:54Uh, Brock Purdy is just playing MVP level football right now.
36:58Uh, I mean, an easy question is you want to know one reason why Purdy is still thriving despite all of his wide receivers getting hurt.
37:05It's because the 49ers have only allowed 12 pressures in true pass sets all season long.
37:10So again, and this is all connected and Purdy in plays where he has to elongate them or he has to win against pressure.
37:17He's doing that, but so consistently, uh, he is giving a platform success and he is thriving.
37:21Yeah. Not to take anything away from Brock Purdy, who's hasn't made like a negative play yet, but the environment right now is lights out.
37:29There just became the 10th offense to not have a sack in the first three weeks ever.
37:34And like there's four Dan, uh, Dan Marino teams in there, a couple of Peyton Manning teams in there as well.
37:40And then on first read throws, EPA per drop back 49ers are number one by a mile at almost a full point,
37:46uh, of the expected points added per, uh, drop back there.
37:49Uh, by the way, the Patriots dead last are actually in the negative.
37:53So the first reads are open. They're wide open frequently.
37:56Like the Georgia Gittle stuff. Like so many of his targets are wide open down the football field.
38:01Then you throw in the little hook and ladder stuff.
38:04Like everything is smooth right now. And the rest of the offensive line, aside from Trent Williams is playing well.
38:10And it really helps that Brock Purdy is like making the quickest decisions ever out there and he can scramble around too.
38:16So I'm not trying to take anything away from Brock Purdy has been excellent, but the rest of the environment around him has been equally as good.
38:24Yeah. Also, I'm not taking anything away from Brock Purdy too, but he's authored probably the two best quarterback games we've seen
38:30so far this year from an adjusted net yards per attempt perspective, EPA per drop back.
38:35They did come against the dolphins and the Cardinals schedule.
38:37It's a little tougher here. Broncos this week, uh, Seahawks the week after that in Seattle, I will say Denver though, you
38:44can pick on the linebackers in coverage and that's pretty much what Kyle Shanahan lives for.
38:48And they have a lot of players to do that.
38:51They don't necessarily have a lot of players, uh, at the wide receiver position.
38:55They're running Cadarrel Hodge out there. Um, the lot of dudes I do not have in the reception perception database.
39:01I'll just say. Well, Matt, I was going to ask you about the wide receivers because again, Mike Evans has had a
39:07very nice start to the season after his stop start preseason with the groin and the quad and all this type of stuff.
39:14Um, but now we have a rib on top of it and we haven't even gotten to the hamstrings yet.
39:20So I'm not trying to be again, negative Norris and talk about Mike Evans impending doom.
39:24However, the wide receiver room, let's say if he is banged up or a 50% or even the 30% snap player this
39:31week, uh, it is Debo Samuel who had an 80 yard hook and lateral and didn't have a catch.
39:36No DeMarcus Robinson. And so Joel Smith out of nowhere from the heavens brings up Jordan Watkins name on the waiver wire
39:43show with his two catches for 60 yards, despite him only playing like 30% of snaps.
39:47And then other than that, it's like Christian Kirk might be coming back in week five.
39:52You, you get a Brandon cooks maybe moving up and then yeah, Cadarrel Hodge running, running, running a ton of wind, wind sprints.
39:58So I guess my question is, can any of these guys be relevant for us in an offense that we definitely want pieces of?
40:05I think, God, this is crazy, but I think cooks could maybe give something if he gets to the active roster at
40:12some point, cause he's a really smart player. Kyle Shanahan is notoriously super demanding on these wide receivers and he did make
40:18some impact for the Buffalo bills last year in an offense.
40:21That's a lot more loosey goosey. So I think this is a situation where cooks, if he could get up there could actually maybe be in fantasy consideration.
40:29Other than that, like, I don't really know how to calibrate to the Watkins and the Hodgins to the Cadarrel Hodge types of the world.
40:36So yeah, I'll give a, I'll give a quick little hat tip to Brandon cooks.
40:41If he can get to the roster. I will say Debo Samuel's getting really close to being a top 20 wide receiver for me.
40:48If Mike Evans is out, you know, I think that he, he looks, he looks really fast.
40:52Like that on that 80 yarder, he had to, he had to actually beat the safety up the sideline for that.
40:59And he was able to do that. And they're just still doing some backfield stuff.
41:03Some, and you know, like the, the typical Debo.
41:05So I think that's excellent. And then George Kittle is just keeps getting wide open that, that play action touchdown late in
41:12the game where they didn't even need it was like so hilarious that they got every linebacker to bite there.
41:18And he just looks a little bit faster and he, I think he slipped to the first game a couple of times
41:24there, but since then he hasn't slipped at all.
41:26He's just running full speed and he looks awesome.
41:29Yeah. Production is a great chart up here with the 49ers wide receiver finished usage 27th or 28th, excuse me, across the league.
41:36And so the answer to my question is probably not that it's just going to flow through Kittle and CMC and Debo Samuel.
41:42And that's it. Like we have seen this song and dance before with the 49ers and they're still going to put up,
41:49you know, 25, 26, 30 points doing that. Also CMC is only giving up touches if you know, this team's up by 10 plus points.
41:56And so Caelan Blacklight not getting anything here. Okay.
41:58Let's move on. Let's talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers who are a rollercoaster organization themselves.
42:03Hayden. But one of your favorite picks in all of fantasy football paid off in week three.
42:08Jalen Warren had an awesome day as the only running back on this team.
42:12So I guess that leads me to this question.
42:14Will the role maintain what it was in week three, if and when Rico data returns from this toe injury, like did Jalen Warren do enough for that?
42:22Or is it going to kind of go back to this split backfield stuff where he was averaging fewer than nine points per game?
42:29I thought in week one and week two, Jalen Warren was significantly better than Rico Dattle.
42:34I would say in every phase as a receiver, pass protector and rusher.
42:38And then this last game, he was excellent. And then in the interim, and I think Rico Dattle is still in a
42:44walking boot and they play on Thursday night football.
42:46So I think it's gonna be Jalen Warren again here on Thursday night.
42:50Since week two, Warren has played 106 of 114 snaps without Rico Dattle.
42:54They do not use anybody else out there. Like when you get to 93% snaps, you are pretty much a low end
43:00RB one, whether you want to accept it or not.
43:03They get the Browns here, the slight favorite. So I feel really strong about him.
43:07He had 19.1 half PPR points, RB 14 usage.
43:10And that turf monster, that really was the reason why he wasn't like a top three, top four fantasy running back last week.
43:17Yeah. Seven running backs this year have had a game where there've been over 90% of the team touches.
43:22They averaged 21.5 points in those games. And for the most part, it's like two Jameer Gibbs games, two Jonathan Taylor games and an HN game.
43:30The only kind of down one. And then James Cook.
43:33So that's where, that's where Jalen Warren is going to rank.
43:36As long as there's no Rico Dattle, it's, it's a, it's a pretty cut and dry case.
43:41I think he's good. I would like to see, I would actually like to see more of Jalen Warren on a routine basis.
43:47Yeah. This passing attack. Did it move you at all, Matt?
43:50I mean, it probably looked the best that it has all season long there.
43:54Not really. A lot of busted coverages from Cincinnati.
43:57A lot of miscommunications there. It was pretty much the same old stuff where, yeah, when it's a clean look for a rod, look at that.
44:04I was going to say, when it is a perfectly clean look and it's mostly like up the seam, it's not a
44:11lot of these in cut routes consistently. You know, getting Michael Pittman back.
44:15That's, that's nice. Although I don't know that they had the best connection in the world in week three.
44:20That's for sure. Roman Wilson showed a little something.
44:23And this is the thing with Roman Wilson is he's an explosive player.
44:26He, I don't know. He's a, he's a fast player.
44:29Like he can, he can move and people mistake that a lot for good route running.
44:34I think he's not a good route runner whatsoever.
44:36He doesn't really know. This is one where, you know, Aaron Rogers throws guys under the bus.
44:41He's constantly mad at people for landmarks. This is one where I actually, I'm kind of on Aaron's side when it comes to the Roman Wilson thing.
44:49Cause he is a pretty, he's a pretty sloppy receiver overall, but.
44:53When you are the slot based player and you're running these routes where.
44:56The, the damn Bengals can't cover these players. It's going to happen sometimes for you.
45:01So I, I overall think this is kind of a one game sample size for the team.
45:06But you know, it was good to see something interesting out of the Steelers offense.
45:10Cause they were a tough watch the first two weeks.
45:13Yeah. Jack Miller pointed this out. The Roman Wilson, after his drop turned into interception, played 20 snaps.
45:18Then Jeremy Bernard only two. And then afterwards looks like Aaron Rogers made the call that Jeremy Bernard then played 15 and Roman Wilson just five.
45:25Yeah. The passing chart for Aaron Rogers looks exactly like how you attack the Cincinnati Bengals.
45:30I mean, it's exactly where Dalton Schultz called 14 passes or whatever it was.
45:34It's just that point over the middle of the field, linebackers, safeties.
45:37And I would expect every single offense to attack the Bengals in this way.
45:41And we'll see if, if the Steelers can kind of carry this along.
45:45Hayden, one final point. I don't know if you saw this from Joe Goodberry, who is excellent out there.
45:51We're going to talk offensive lineman here for a moment.
45:54Mason McCormick, who is the left guard for the Pittsburgh Steelers was having an interesting and had an interesting technique.
45:59And I wish we could show it, but to let's say get Dexter Lawrence off his anchor.
46:04He basically was blocking at the waist and then attacking a single leg like it's amateur wrestling, lifting it up off the grounds.
46:11So he couldn't anchor and then moving him in that regard.
46:14And so basically forcing him off balance and he was doing it over and over and over again.
46:19And so good eyes for Joe for recognizing this.
46:22And I do wonder if this is something that maybe our buddy Ryan Paganetti might post out there and might get the league's attention a little bit more.
46:30That's a big leg to move around for Dexter Lawrence.
46:33But I understand making up moves there. I would just say my offensive lineup for the Steelers, Max Liannacher, a first rounder for the right tackle.
46:40He is a freak athlete. They gave him some pretty difficult assignments in the run game where he had to really get over to some three techniques.
46:48And he was excellent on those blocks. Those are not easy blocks.
46:51And I thought he handled himself very well. And that was a boom bust prospect.
46:56And he didn't throw a complete no hitter. But that was as promising of a right tackle debut as you could possibly imagine.
47:02Yeah, you saw the two totally different performances against the Cincinnati Bengals defensive line with what the Steelers did compared to in
47:09week two what the Houston Texans did. And it shows you the difference what that can do.
47:14And if I mean, this is a big if if Steelers pass catchers hit this year consistently, like the offensive line has to be there.
47:21So this is, I think, a pretty good outcome for us in that capacity so far through the first three weeks, especially in Iron Hatchers debut.
47:28Okay, let's talk about the New York Giants and Jameis Winston's re-entry as a starting quarterback on a full-time basis.
47:34Matt, I'll send it to you first. Package, Jameis Winston, along with right now Malik Navers being the worst third-round pick on the board.
47:41Is there any hope for our guy? No, I don't think so.
47:44Okay, great. I mean, neighbors will look better on tape than he does right now because I think it just doesn't.
47:50I mean, I thought week three was not great for him.
47:54A step back actually from where he maybe looked in week one.
47:57And this is how this comes. This is with guys when they're coming back from these serious injuries like they can go up and down.
48:04So not totally surprising there. Jameis looks brutal. I mean, I think the weather played a role in week three, but he
48:11also didn't look great in week two. As I said to Hayden on the recap show, he looked like a guy who
48:17spent all summer being a content creator. But yeah, this is what it is.
48:21It's the stuff downfield. He's not getting open. Winston is also not getting the ball to him.
48:26And it has to be all these quick designer passes.
48:29And by the way, this is going to be one of the most run heavy teams.
48:33I didn't have 10 straight run plays in that game, which I think culminated in a Cam Scadaboo wildcat formation that went absolutely.
48:40It went I was gonna say it went nowhere.
48:43It went seven yards backwards. So not great for the New York Giants right now.
48:47I think I think this offense looks like it could just be like it's over before it began for this offense.
48:53And I just to me, ultimately, Josh, I just continue to be nervous that, you know, we'll get J.J.
48:58McCarthy starting by week six. And by week nine, Malik neighbors decides, you know what, I'm gonna get shoulder surgery and get this thing fixed.
49:06There's no floor anymore, Josh. You know, that's the reality of it.
49:09It was a one yards down the field was average depth of target there.
49:13And to Matt's point, the lowest neutral pass rate of the week at 29%.
49:17It really comes down to how much could we say that was just the rain?
49:21Because on tape, that was maybe the worst arm strength I've seen from a quarterback the entire year.
49:27Every single play that Jameis threw was short. It was flat.
49:30It had no zip. If you had to try to drive the ball over the middle, defenders were getting their hands on it.
49:36If he was trying to get the ball to the flat, that was hitting the turf.
49:41If he was just trying to hit Isaiah Likely on the most basic hitch route, six yards in front of him, Isaiah
49:47Likely just putting his hands out and defending it himself.
49:50So I'm not sure. You could read into it that they had to trade for J.J.
49:55McCarthy because they watched the two games of Jameis Winston.
49:58And we're like, his arm just might not be NFL caliber anymore.
50:01And I think that's my big concern here. And then once J.J.
50:05McCarthy gets in there, he's going to have to learn a new offense and he's never been good in the NFL.
50:11He's not going to save the situation either. So I'm extremely concerned for neighbors and Likely now.
50:16They just gave Winston a contract extension and then gave up a fifth round pick for a guy that they hope is their long-term backup behind Dart.
50:23Yeah, I think you're exactly right, Hayden. They watched the guy who's been trying to be a meme for the last few years play like a meme.
50:31And here we are. I think this is pretty rough.
50:34And as Hayden knows, like there were even mentions of this from insiders ahead of the performance against the Tennessee Titans.
50:40So I kind of wonder if the decision makers watched Jameis all through training camp.
50:44And despite giving him an extra two and a half million dollars by the kindness of their heart as a glue guy,
50:51it's like, hey, the glue guy can't go in there and start for us the rest of the season.
50:56Because despite, again, losing Jackson Dart, despite losing Brian Burns, Harbaugh wants to, in his first season, not wave the white flag
51:02and instill this competitive nature, I guess. It's an organization that he believes will trickle down into future seasons, which on some level is admirable.
51:10At the same time, Hayden, it is a fifth round pick.
51:13And right now, the Giants only have five remaining draft picks in the 2027 class, which was a draft class that no
51:19one wanted to trade any selections away in last year's and during last year's NFL draft.
51:24So they have a first, second, third rounder, then two sixths, and that's it.
51:28That's it. So J.J. McCarthy is starting games this year.
51:31Yes? I think so. I'm looking at they have a week eight by week.
51:35The week sevens in Houston, I think that would be pretty rough to throw J.J.
51:39McCarthy in there. So I would say most likely scenario would be like week nine or beyond unless it was just the rain.
51:46And then that's what made James Winston look so bad.
51:49But I'm nervous. But Matt, I will say I am more confident about whatever is left in the tank for Malik neighbors this season with J.J.
51:56McCarthy than I am with what J.J. Winston just put out there.
51:59Like J.J. is a totally different quarterback than the one that people fell in love with previously as, you know, this quote unquote gunslinger.
52:06Like he has a different style now. He doesn't have a gun left.
52:10The arm, as you guys said, yes, to two concerned defenses down the field.
52:14And so everyone is just going to sit on everything and play aggressive in front and drive.
52:19And that means he also has to be great in the quick game.
52:23And I don't think that Jameis and the quick game has ever been used in the same sentence positively.
52:28So I need J.J. McCarthy to be the starting quarterback for this team.
52:32And I wasn't going to say that ever with the Minnesota Vikings this year.
52:36Do you want to revisit the quick game tape with McCarthy last year for the Minnesota Vikings?
52:41I mean, throwing it as hard as you possibly can because you're late seeing it.
52:45I mean, I was like, yeah, I agree with you.
52:48It's not it's not happening with Jameis, but I don't think the McCarthy stuff is is going to get any better.
52:54I was just saying this all roads lead back to Cam Scadaboo.
52:58Like they want him to touch the ball a million times.
53:01They're going to have to. I saw some tweets like Najee Harris looks good.
53:05I don't know what they were watching. I thought Najee Harris looked terrible.
53:09He was slipping and sliding. There was some wide open holes for him that I did not think that he can hit.
53:15I can't get over the size difference between his left leg and his right leg.
53:19Cam Scadaboo was not the cleanest game from him, but he's still catching the ball.
53:24He still had goal line carries and they just need his energy and just like they need someone to absorb a bunch of touches.
53:30I think that's what he's going to do. Okay, I asked this question from Pukenikua, so we'll close with this with the Giants as well.
53:38What would you trade away? What would you trade Malik neighbors for?
53:41Let's put it that way. And look, we are well beyond the T Higgins Zay Flowers territory.
53:46So Matt, would you trade Malik neighbors straight up for Michael Wilson?
53:49Wow. I mean, I have going into this week.
53:52I'm asking because he's wide receiver 23 at this point in points per game.
53:56Yeah, no, I mean, I was going to say I have going into this week.
54:00I have neighbors. It's very early, but wide receiver 21 and I have Michael Wilson at wide receiver 19 and Michael Wilson.
54:07We're going to talk about it is actually good.
54:09So I don't know if I could live with the screenshot, but I might, but I might want to live with the points.
54:16And would you click accept or do you have another name that you would throw out there that people should pursue with their Malik neighbors?
54:23Like Matthew Golden. I would rather have Matthew Golden than Malik neighbors.
54:27I think Michael Wilson's a great call as well.
54:29It's nobody in that round four, five, six price.
54:32You're not getting DJ more. I don't think like you're not getting Parker.
54:36You got to scroll. Could you get lad? Maybe.
54:38Is that the Spider-Man meme? Yeah, I'm there. Yeah, I'm there.
54:41Terry McLaurin after let's go straight into that. Okay, let's talk about the Washington commanders here.
54:46They're up next. Hayden, what is real now for the commanders that we have Marcus Mariota starting for at least the next?
54:52It seems like two to three weeks. I mean, Jane Daniels needs to have surgery, but he doesn't want to have surgery now.
54:59He wants to return. But from what I saw in this massive upset for the commanders against the Seahawks was David Blau, the play caller, showing awesome stuff.
55:07I mean, there were quick snaps early to prevent like this pre and post snap movement that confuses so many other quarterbacks.
55:13And also with the Seahawks having new safeties back there, they lack the communication and the stability to recognize that.
55:19So they got Terry McLaurin open on the third and 10 for a gain of 11.
55:24He also utilizes sweet Rashad White motion that in week one from one side of the field to the opposite into a trips bunch.
55:31That was then thrown to Rashad White in week one.
55:33This time they kept Jalen Lane at the end as a number three and then utilize a tunnel screen out of that to gain 30 plus yards.
55:41So David Blau was another one of these play callers as a first timer in his bag.
55:46And along with Marcus Mariota Hayden hanging in the pocket against pressure and firing some dots.
55:51I like the David Blau returns early. They're doing some funky stuff, but it like makes sense with the players that they have on the roster as well.
55:59And then Mariota, like he's just in command. Like that was a experienced player making all the right checks at the line
56:05of scrimmage, doing some like dangerous things. I had like real nice returns running the ball in like third and nines.
56:11But since 2024, Mariota is the quarterback 15 in EPA for drop back, quarterback 10 success rate, quarterback four in completion percentage
56:17over expected in the quarterback one in average depth of throw.
56:21And it's the two last stats, completion percentage over expected and average depth of throw where he's both top five there.
56:27That's how Terry McLaurin can can survive here. Like Marcus Mariota wants to throw the ball down the football field and like
56:33somebody that comeback routes against zone coverage where some other quarterbacks don't feel comfortable.
56:37Like he's going to give Terry McLaurin a chance there.
56:40Obviously had the double move against Josh Jobe as well.
56:43But I thought there was some awesome like deep route, deep out routes on Terry McLaurin's tape in Terry or in Marcus
56:49Mariota like wants to throw him the football there.
56:52So he is not a conservative backup, but he's an aggressive backup.
56:55And I think that's how both Terry McLaurin and Steph Diggs can be in our starting fantasy lines, mostly as a wider receiver threes.
57:02But you can get nervous with Terry McLaurin with other backup quarterbacks.
57:06But Mariota is like pushing the ball down the field and think that he's going to hold the line.
57:11Mariota should have gotten a free agency and should have been the Vikings starting quarterback.
57:15He would really have been a good fit in this offense.
57:18But, you know, neither here nor there. Yeah. Terry McLaurin, big game that I hand up, did not see coming against the Seattle Seahawks.
57:25I love your points. Yeah, of course. I love your points about David Blau in week three, Josh.
57:31I had a lot of the same things written down here because I think I said this to Nate on 301 that
57:37week one, not a good debut for the hey, I was a backup quarterback yesterday crowd at the offensive coordinator position.
57:43But I mean, while Davis Webb kind of stayed the same, Sean Mania maybe has gotten worse through three weeks.
57:49David Blau has definitely gotten better each and every single week.
57:52And being able to defeat some of that disguise coverage was really good.
57:56And I mean, Terry McLaurin, like getting him in the slot for a deep corner route, a deep outbreaker.
58:01Really good to see there. His slot rate is 20.
58:04Yeah, 21.6 percent, which I know doesn't sound like a lot.
58:07It's is easily his highest rate since 2021 for Terry McLaurin.
58:10So a lot of vertical routes, but also they'll throw him just these quick slants, which that started in Dallas in week two, continues into week three.
58:18And the other interesting thing about the receiver usage that I noted, you know, Traylon Burks caught the touchdown that, you know, that's fine.
58:25He actually out routed Antonio Williams in this game to Traylon Burks, but it's all space clearing sacrificial stuff.
58:30He's targeted on 10.5 percent of his routes. Antonio Williams, 40 percent.
58:34I really like Antonio Williams. I think his film's been good.
58:37He's somebody that maybe could pop for them eventually.
58:40But having him play less and having Burks play more is good for Terry McLaurin and Stefan Diggs.
58:45Yeah, we're still getting 30 percent Deami Brown, too.
58:47So, you know, David, you're doing great in some areas, but some of this wide receiver rotation stuff we can improve on.
58:54Yeah, I mean, arguably that is the most difficult matchup that the commanders have on their schedule for at least the next two weeks.
59:01I mean, it's the Colts and the Giants over the next two weeks.
59:04Then you have a tough stretch from the 49ers, the Eagles and the Rams, at least on paper.
59:10But we end this thing with like, you know, the Cardinals, the Titans and the Falcons and some of those games.
59:16I mean, it's an up and down schedule that has some nice pockets.
59:19And I think we can kind of pick our spots that are the best weeks for for the Washington commanders.
59:25And we have no idea when Jane Daniels comes back.
59:28But, Hayden, we've talked about Marcus Mariota on this channel for like the last three plus years.
59:33And among backup quarterbacks and keep this thing going and even thrive in certain matchups.
59:37He is up there near the top of the list.
59:40And the commanders, yes, they're only projected for 22 points this week.
59:44I expect them to maybe go over that. I think he's the best backup quarterback in the league.
59:49And Steph Diggs is getting a lot of the manufacturer touches as well.
59:52I think that he still looks really explosive in this one as well.
59:56So I will have both commanders wide receivers inside my top 30.
60:00I think both of them are playable. And then I think the fact that Mariota is keeping this thing afloat is like
60:06good news for the running back rotation. There was some news Rashad White had a little shoulder injury that he was playing through.
60:13They signed Eckler. But to me, it was Ja'Cory Kroski-Meritt.
60:16I didn't know that he had a 48-yard touchdown called back by an illegal formation that had nothing to do with the play.
60:22That was a pretty awesome moment for Bill there.
60:25He showed a little bit more speed on that play than anyone else in the backfield.
60:29So 12.5 expected half-feet-yard ones did not do anything in the box score.
60:33But the Seahawks don't give up 48-yard touchdowns. I think that's a promising start for Bill here.
60:38And I think that he's slowly climbing up my running back rankings.
60:41And that running back three land has taken a beating the last couple weeks.
60:45And I think that Bill is actually the guy that I would probably be saying he's like a flex by low to me at this point.
60:53Yeah, like after Chuba Hubbard, when we're talking about running backs that you drafted, Bill might have like the best chance of
60:59being fantasy relevant among all those ball carriers. Yeah, it is a true you had to watch the game type thing with
61:06Bill because Rashad White got the touchdown on the receiving end.
61:09And then Bill's kind of got wiped away. So the box scores might avert your eyes in that department.
61:14Okay, let's close up the top 10, Matt, with the Arizona Cardinals here.
61:18I'll save the Jeremiah Love conversation for Hayden. And for you, Matt, I need to bring up Michael Wilson.
61:23Simple question. Why is he getting points and yards and production in this offense and Marvin Harrison Jr.
61:29isn't? What is it about him that is different?
61:31I mean, the roles are definitely very, very different.
61:34But Michael Wilson is good. I mean, Michael Wilson is this.
61:37I had these guys ranked in the same tier and ADP wasn't even close.
61:41And obviously, my ranking on Marv looks bad. Anybody's ranking on Marv looks bad right now because Marv is just not.
61:47It's just not going to happen with this vertical X receiver role that he's playing in.
61:52But for Wilson, they designed a ton of stuff for him.
61:55First read looks. Get the ball out quick. You know, seven catches against zone coverage in week three.
62:00But it's not just all Mickey Mouse nonsense where there was a lot of just like quick pepper him.
62:05But a few explosive plays on out cuts. And, you know, that's something that Marv, I assume, Marv, Michael Wilson has done consistently since he's gotten.
62:13Like, he's always been a good player. He was just under prioritized and which was really frustrating in the last offense.
62:19But, you know, good to see for Michael Wilson.
62:22He's legitimately a really, really good player. He ended up being my most drafted receiver this year because on just so many
62:28platforms, even our platform, his ADP was so low.
62:31Wasn't feeling that great about it necessarily in the first two weeks.
62:34But I hope he can continue to get this usage.
62:37And I think there's more meat on the bone for this entire offense.
62:41Like, at some point, Michael is going to watch this thing and just see like Jacoby Reset can keep the ship afloat.
62:47But is never going to access any of the downfield throws for any of these guys.
62:52I don't know if Carson Beck will either, but at some point they're going to want to see some of these downfield throws activated.
62:58Michael Wilson, Marvin Harrison, all these guys. Michael Wilson is awesome, man.
63:02Like, I don't even know what I would say he's not good at.
63:06The breaking routes were excellent. Like, throughout the game, there was a fourth and one slant win that they needed them.
63:12They can do some screens. I think they threw three of them there.
63:15His touchdown was a little first retarget play action.
63:1813 personnel where that used to be Marvin. Now it's Michael Wilson near the goal line on that route.
63:23And then he nearly moths that touchdown through the defender shoulder pads out there.
63:28And then there was another play, toe tapper, that was nearly a touchdown as well.
63:32We have a diving catch. Like, that was one of the best games that you can see at wide receivers.
63:38Like, all levels of the field. And all of a sudden, he's the wide receiver 7 in usage.
63:43And if you look back, like, the last eight games with Marvin Harrison, he's got a 22% target share.
63:48He's the wide receiver 24 on wide receiver 18 usage.
63:51That removes, like, those crazy games where Marvin Harrison wasn't active.
63:54Like, this is, like, the games where both these guys have been healthy.
63:58And Michael Wilson's been, like, a fantasy starter. So, like, I kind of just want to take this for, like, what it's worth.
64:05And it's like, Michael Wilson is an every week starter.
64:08And I'm going to park him, like, probably at the wide receiver 2-3 border.
64:12But there was a flash that he was the wide receiver 1 overall.
64:15Like, there's a chance that we're, like, still, like, really discounting what Michael Wilson is doing.
64:20Just because the first game against the Chargers and the second game against the Seahawks were kind of duds.
64:25But the rest of the games for Michael Wilson have been, like, wide receiver 1 caliber.
64:30Yeah, the market just had it wrong this summer.
64:33I mean, he was drafted after Marvin Harrison Jr.
64:35in every single draft. Despite all of us seeing him play better than Marvin Harrison Jr.
64:40ever has over an 8-game sample. So, that's just something that I want to keep in mind moving forward.
64:45Hayden, let's talk about Jeremiah Love. Sorry. Sorry. Go ahead.
64:48I was just going to say, go for it, Matt.
64:51This is the problem with the targets are earned thing, is that, like, the system dictated that Marv would get those looks
64:57when he was in there over Michael Wilson. Because he was the X.
65:01And, like, that's just the way the progressions go in Drew Petsing's offense.
65:05Whereas this, it's going to be a little bit more equitable.
65:08And Marv is in a role where, at some point, he will have games and moments when the defensive looks dictate that
65:14for the big play sacrificial X receiver. But Michael Wilson's a dog, dude.
65:18Like, I mean, everything, he checks so many boxes as a receiver.
65:22And he really always has, I would say the only thing that maybe he's not good at is, like, truly pulling away
65:28at the third level against zone coverage. But you can get 17 targets and not do that.
65:33And you can clear space and be Marvin Harrison and do that theoretically.
65:36So, yeah, I think this is real with Michael Wilson.
65:39I would be buying it going forward. And speaking of not pulling away, I do want to bring up that the Cardinals
65:46defense is the worst in the NFL at stopping explosive plays.
65:49They're giving up the most in the NFL per percentage of snaps.
65:52And then their offense is the worst at generating them.
65:55They are 32nd across the board in terms of passing and rushing.
65:59Rushing 5.3% of those snaps and then passing just 1.7%.
66:02So, Hayden, that leads me into the conversation here about Jeremiah Love.
66:05We discussed it all summer long that Michael Thor had rookie Brees Hall only gave him 12, 8, and 14 touches in
66:11the opening three games before making him the featured player.
66:14And then it was wheels up for about five games until Brees got injured.
66:18Michael Thor did the same thing here with Jeremiah Love.
66:2113 and 12 touches before 26. I mean, look at this.
66:2426 touches in week three. And it was tough sledding.
66:27I mean, some great defensive line and especially linebacker work.
66:30And Jeremiah Love, I would say, absorbed the content quite well and tried to generate the hidden yards on top of it, too.
66:37I think Jeremiah Love is going to be a top 10 fantasy running back the rest of the way.
66:42I think I would rather have him than players like Ashton Gentey and Saquon Barkley.
66:46And I think, you know, if you got him like late in the round three range, like if you have Kenneth Walker
66:53and Jeremiah Love was your third round pick, you're feeling pretty good about your odds right now.
66:58This they're not going to go back to Tyler Algier.
67:01He's just like simply not good enough. And Jeremiah Love is very comfortable as a receiver.
67:05We saw a couple of those opportunities in this one.
67:08And then as a rusher, I didn't think it was the best game from him.
67:12He feels like a little bit kind of jumpy antsy to me right now.
67:16But his spin move, his acceleration, like the traits that you're looking for are so evident.
67:21And I think it's a pretty well coached team.
67:24And I think that Jeremiah Love is going to get his feet wet.
67:27And I think he's going to look really, really, really strong the rest of the way.
67:32So I think that Tyler Algier is so far away from the picture at this point that we should just be assuming
67:38that Jeremiah Love will have top five, top 10 usage the rest of the way.
67:43And I do think that he's going to be one of the best clicks in fantasy.
67:47Thoughts, Matt? Love it. I'd love to see more of him.
67:50There's still a lot of meat left on the bone for this offense.
67:54Like I said, both in the run game and the pass game.
67:58I watch this team back on film every single week.
68:00I think they do a lot of fun things.
68:03Again, there's good down. And you can almost kind of tell when you hear Mike LaFleur talk that he wants to see
68:09a little more from the pass game. But the run game is one where Jeremiah Love passes the eye test in both phases.
68:16I think he's going to end up being a really, really good value.
68:20There's one team that I ended up taking both Ashton Gentry and Jeremiah Love in a draft.
68:25Like take the ankle discounts on these guys. I'm feeling I actually don't know which one I'm feeling better about right now.
68:31Yeah, I think it could be Jeremiah Love in a few weeks.
68:34We'll see. All right, Matt. Appreciate you. I'll see you on the forecast on Thursday for the week before preview.
68:40Always a good time. Appreciate you guys for having me.
68:43Appreciate it, Matt. All right, Aiden. Me and you, the rest of the way, we go alphabetical order.
68:48That kicks things off with the Atlanta Falcons. It's a whole new world for the Atlanta Falcons with Michael Pinnock in there.
68:55At least for Drake London. Okay, we need to talk about Kyle Pitts because we already saw the Drake London, Michael Pinnock's
69:01effect happen immediately once the quarterback re-entered the starting lineup.
69:04However, Kyle Pitts, in my mind, Hayden, is still never going to hit this year, especially if he's only down to 59%
69:10of snaps like he was in week three. Like he's not a full-time player like he previously was.
69:15About half of round six was bad in terms of selecting players this season, but he is one of, if not the
69:22worst pick in that round so far. Yeah, he's been brutal.
69:25He averaged 42 yards with Drake London in 2025 and obviously went crazy without him there.
69:29So there's still hope that he can kind of be, you know, a 30, 40 yards per game type of player with Michael Pinnock's.
69:36But the fact that he did last week, it is not promising.
69:40And the snap rate coming down is just not going to get there.
69:43And Michael Pinnock just has the eyes right for Drake London.
69:47And like he absolutely should. Drake London is excellent.
69:49So yeah, he's just going to be way too volatile.
69:52I think that Kyle Pitts is going to have like some moments here and there because like the rest of the receiving depth is so bad.
70:00But there's too many other good tight ends. Like we're going to talk about, you know, 20 names that I think are very real candidates.
70:07And I think that Kyle Pitts every single week just falls back a couple spots.
70:11So I think he's droppable. And then if Drake London gets injured, then he will be one of the best waiver wire
70:17additions there is because like there's not going to be another receiver that steps up beyond him.
70:22Yeah, I think people who drafted Kyle Pitts or Tucker Craft or a few of these other names get really freaking frustrated with me that I'm bringing up.
70:30It's the year of the tight end. And like the one guy that they drafted in the top 10 or 12 at
70:37the position just has not panned out at all.
70:39So I feel you guys. Yeah, I mean these next two weeks is the Saints and the Ravens defenses.
70:45I'm not sure how I would feel about even considering starting Kyle Pitts and you're tied in.
70:50And hopefully you picked up someone else off the waiver wire instead.
70:53Anything else you want to say about the Falcons?
70:56True, just move on. They their neutral pass rate increased.
70:59It was a season high 47%. It was like really low there with Cooper Rush and like when they were dropping back, it was all the Bichon nonsense.
71:07And like those were fun games for Bichon. You want the Falcons to be watchable.
71:11Like that's how you get actual explosives and not just like a million checkdowns.
71:15Like we don't want PPR scam Bichon. We want Bichon Robinson.
71:18So I think that's going to be promising. And then the splits with Drake London and Michael Penix.
71:23I mean, it's insane. Like how good he is.
71:26He's like a top three fantasy wide receiver with Michael Penix.
71:29I think it's gonna be a pretty tough bar to clear once again.
71:33But that sample size is now 13 games with that.
71:36So I think that he's climbing up rankings. I think that if we were redrafting today, now knowing that we're gonna have
71:42Michael Penix for the rest of the season, like I think that he would be probably a top 15 pick for me.
71:48Okay, let's talk the Baltimore Ravens up next. Starting off with Zay Flowers.
71:52I mean, on 29 routes this season, 29 routes, Zay Flowers has 10 catches for 234 yards and a touchdown.
71:58Man, he is just incredible. He is so incredible.
72:01Here's my thing. Let's just assume that the hamstring is fine for the rest of the season.
72:05We're drafting Zay Flowers as a top 10, 9, 8 wide receiver the rest of the way.
72:10And that's exactly despite not having necessarily the red zone appeal that I was hoping for the end zone appeal previously.
72:16He is just such the factor in this Baltimore Ravens passing attack that it hasn't felt right at all with him out of it.
72:23But as soon as he comes in, is a number three option, runs these routes over the middle of the field and
72:30has perfect timing, and then after the catch, creates some extra yards too.
72:33He is the focal point of everything other than Derrick Henry in this offense.
72:37For this upcoming week, he's my wide receiver five on initial look at it.
72:41And it's really looking like the JSN stuff where the yards per route numbers are so insane.
72:46It's going to be a very balanced offense, obviously, when you have Derrick Henry.
72:50But whenever they drop back, it's going to be explosive because the quarterback wants to push the ball down the field.
72:56The offensive coordinator obviously knows the only guy that they can trust in the past game is Zay Flowers.
73:02I think it's helping in that Mark Andrews, I just think, is just not going to return.
73:07That level player is just not coming back. So they really have no choice.
73:11And that's why they pushed him in week three, despite not playing or practicing that much.
73:15And the turf was all messed up. And then when they needed him most in man coverage, I still can't believe the
73:22Cowboys played man coverage on that last snap. And Zay Flowers just cooked him.
73:26So the Ravens are going to be top five in projected points every single week.
73:30And he's going to have a 35% target share.
73:33It's impossible for him to not get home at this point.
73:36Yeah, I totally agree. Um, that's exactly the theory.
73:38And what we say is what wins fantasy leagues of when you draft, you know, the wide receiver 17 and becomes, you
73:45know, the wide receiver seven or the wide receiver five.
73:48Like jumping up 10 spots in that area, meaning you jump up three or four rounds, uh, is significant.
73:53Um, and I really feel like if we get Zay Flowers as a full-time player and healthy, uh, we will get that.
73:59We will get that this year. I have nothing else to say about the Ravens.
74:04They are so straightforward with Derek Henry and Lamar Jackson.
74:07Uh, so let's just move on to the Buffalo Bills who are also a very straightforward team.
74:12Uh, it was nice to see DJ Moore in the lineup go six for 67 off of that nasty AC joint hit that he took.
74:19And as you outlined, despite having, you know, five turnovers, they come back and win this game.
74:24And it was kind of vintage James Cook in a lot of ways where the first two weeks, uh, it wasn't all
74:30on his shoulders, uh, as much as it has been in previous years.
74:34But here it's again, 24 carries 154 yards and one touchdown.
74:37So to some degree, Hayden, I liked that the bills through three weeks have kind of shown you that they can win in two ways.
74:44Offensively. There's still just so many chunk plays when they want to run the ball.
74:48It obviously hurts when Josh Allen's going to steal some goal line carries, but you just have to live with it.
74:54I think like the one thing we learned through three weeks, James Cook is the RB 33 in receptions per game 1.3.
75:01So like, it's going to be the same exact role for James Cook.
75:04And guess what? Like that was enough to be what the RB five or close to it last year.
75:10Um, yeah, he's RB seven in carries. He's going to get goal line work, uh, even with Josh Allen stealing it because guess what?
75:17Looking ahead. They're number one in projected points this week.
75:20Uh, once again. So like, I, I don't, I don't have that much sympathy if you're worried about James Cook at 10th
75:26overall, I think that's probably where he would be drafted if we were doing it again today.
75:31Yeah. I mean, they are number one in projected points against the New England Patriots defense.
75:36And we've seen the Patriots defense, uh, have teams projected for around 22, 21 points so far this season.
75:41Okay. Let's talk the Carolina Panthers next. And I actually want to begin this conversation with Teddero McMillan, who basically as an
75:47isolated receiver for three quarters since Jalen Coker left, uh, only managed two catches for 14 yards.
75:52Um, I'd love to get your take on it, but first I thought that this was multi-level.
75:57He struggled to unglue himself from Denzel Ward in isolated coverage and individual coverage, whether that be man or when kind of
76:03zone turns into man, uh, which happens second. And I think most importantly, the Panthers offensive line got run over by the Browns defensive line.
76:11Like, so any second phase play or elongated, uh, slow play concept down the field.
76:15Um, it was basically not possible at all. And that's where a lot of the Teddero McMillan stuff has happened over the
76:21first couple of weeks and go bank going back to last year.
76:25And then third, I actually thought like some of his routes could maybe have a bit more urgency and maybe he just
76:31got a bit tired as the game went along.
76:34He could have a huge bounce back. I think this week against the lions and their secondary, but I really am fearful
76:40that the offensive line might be a problem here to, uh, get back to the big downfield patterns that we got.
76:46They were so successful in the first two weeks.
76:49I think it's like two different discussions. I think for the Panthers, I think, you know, losing Damian Lewis and their secondaries
76:55now beat up and like, you know, the edge rushers just have not really like proven to be that effective so far.
77:01So I think the Panthers have some issues because of, uh, injuries, but for T-Mac with Jalen Coker out of there, like
77:08he's going to get spammed the ball. The Panthers are now they're top four and wide receiver usage.
77:13And it's only going to go to him. And that, that number is going to come down a little bit, um, but it didn't last week.
77:20And that's why I wanted to bring this up.
77:23There's just Denzel Ward's still very good. And the injuries, like when you don't know, you're going to have injuries on the,
77:29uh, on the offensive line, like in the middle of the game, that's going to be a little bit harder to kind of change things.
77:36Like T-Mac is like, there's a couple little flaws to his game.
77:40I think over time, he's going to be totally fine there.
77:43I think there's the volume is gonna be too much to ignore.
77:47Like already he's the wide receiver 10 and expected points.
77:49Like it has not been like the cleanest season for him.
77:53He's gone under his projection in all three games here, but the volume is going to be way too hard to ignore.
77:59Like they just have nobody else to get the ball to.
78:02And I watched Garrett Wilson in isolation against the lions defensive back, just route them up the entire game.
78:08Uh, so we're going to talk about the jets, but I think that Ted Rowe McMillen can do that against way, way worse competition than Denzel Ward.
78:15Yes. And they run a ton of zone coverage, which the vast majority of the NFL does.
78:20And we've seen the Panthers dissect zone coverage so far this season, especially in the opening two weeks.
78:25Uh, I will say Bryce Young leads the NFL in passing yards.
78:29He also leads the NFL in pressure rates and intended air yards per attempt.
78:33So it's like this difficult package that yeah, it's, it's, it's full send at this moment.
78:38And Hey, this isn't, you know, me just giving the shorter guy a pat in the back here, but I do feel
78:44like that game against the Browns in the first three years of his career might've ended up one of the games that
78:50he throws for like 145 yards and ended up throwing for 291 yards and like standing in the face of the pressure and figuring out what was there.
78:58And he long gaining certain snaps that, that he could had.
79:01So I actually thought there was real growth in a performance like that, whereas offensive line just got demolished.
79:07Yeah. Yeah. He just seemed to feel better. He's, he's just making better plays.
79:11Uh, and I, I've always thought he's a very accurate quarterback and when he's like making decisive plays down the sideline, like that's the best of it.
79:19And I think that's where Tyrone McVillan is going to be very good this year.
79:23And I do think that the state of the Panthers defense with like the most recent injuries, they're going to have to
79:29pass the ball because I'm just not sure if they're going to get many stops on defense, just given where, where they're at right now.
79:37Yep. Uh, they have a week five by, so I wouldn't be surprised if like Jalen Coker sits out.
79:42He's out in week four with the hopes of him returning in, in week five.
79:46And then his replacement on the outside, it was Bryson Tremaine, who is mostly a special teamer, but kind of always pops up and plays wide receiver.
79:54Cause he's big and athletic. Uh, and he led the team with six targets for receptions and 83 yards.
80:00Wouldn't be totally surprised if it kind of goes to David Moore, uh, after, you know, a week of practice and all
80:06that type of stuff, but they are extremely thin.
80:08Uh, and this is what we talked about. Like the passing attack really got going last year when it was team Mac and Coker.
80:15It really got going in the first two weeks when it was team Mac and Coker.
80:20And then if you don't have one of those elite talents where the other one's kind of getting locked up or maybe
80:26getting some safety over the top help, the other guy can win for you in isolation.
80:31If you don't have that, then they kind of, I think become a bit more solvable.
80:36Okay. Uh, let's talk Cincinnati Bengals. They're up next.
80:38Um, this team is very straightforward. Every single week we know about who the priority players are.
80:43I will say, and Goodberry posted about this too, that they have just 83 yards off play action.
80:48The season they're near the bottom of the league in terms of rate of play action, just 16 passing plays so far this season.
80:55Hayden from under center compared to 43 runs 31st in percentage of past plays under center.
81:00So this entire narrative that lasted all training camp, uh, they're about 27th or 28th in terms of that rate of usage.
81:06And they're kind of back to what Joe Burrow does best.
81:09They are changing up the offense though. They're a lot more two tight end sets.
81:14They are going under center more often. Yeah. And, uh, a couple of weeks ago, uh, on the Nate Tice recap show football 301 on Sunday nights.
81:21Uh, I had the stat of the exact numbers, but almost every single time they were in the gun, they pass it almost every single time under center.
81:29They ran it this last week. They actually did mix it up, uh, a couple of times.
81:34And Joe Burrow took a couple of shots down the field.
81:37Uh, it's, you know, it's, it's a change up.
81:40That's all it is. Uh, and I'm totally okay with it.
81:43I would say with, with Chase Brown, I think he's maybe the most, uh, interesting.
81:48Cause he hasn't really gotten home yet. He's still the RB 11 in expected points.
81:52He's the RB 10 in receptions per game. RB 13 carries per game.
81:56So magic. He runs not going to mix in there.
81:58So it's been a brutal start as the RB 20 on a pregame basis so far.
82:03Like, this is like the most obvious by low.
82:06Like you get the past funnel bucks. Then you get the Texans and then you get the Steelers.
82:11And I think the Bengals offensive line against, uh, some pretty, uh, formidable defensive fronts.
82:15There has like passed the test, like a Marius Mims.
82:18Like he's on his way to becoming like a superstar right tackle.
82:21Um, so I think like these little things, I think Chase Brown's like a really quality by low.
82:27That said, Jacksonville is going to be another tough opponent, uh, this week.
82:30But I think that, you know, they're going to be totally fine.
82:34I think that the Bengals defense is not, I don't think it's very good still.
82:38Like they're better than they were. But if anyone thinking like the Bengals are not going to have like being shootouts this
82:45season, I think like they've lost the plot. I think they're going to be in plenty of them.
82:50Yeah. With the Malik neighbor stuff that we talked about earlier, I know this is talking about like a wide receiver for
82:56a running back, but I would almost try to go like two for one with neighbors and someone else and try to
83:02go get Chase Brown and fill in like that as your flex or your running back too.
83:07And, uh, build and, and, uh, improve off of that.
83:10If, if I had neighbors, um, yeah, I mean the Bengals shockingly lead the NFL in rated 12 personnel.
83:16Uh, that's at 39%. They kind of use three names, um, in sample and Eric all.
83:20And then Mike is sick. He is out there for about 50 ish percent of snaps.
83:25Uh, I know that's not very much and I don't want to overhype someone who is 50 ish percent of snaps, but
83:31when he's out there, he is their slot wide receiver.
83:34He is their wide receiver three basically. And he's been the tight end four in week one and the tight end 11 in week three.
83:41And he's still flying under the radar and they're like still recycling these, you know, wide receivers on the end.
83:47So they, I'm not saying they're incorporating him more, but Hey, and you also have like, I think the hidden upside with Mike is sick.
83:54He has always been if Jamar chase or T Higgins misses time, he then becomes like a de facto wide receiver two for the team.
84:01So, um, guess. Sicky is someone that no one's going to add on your roster at all.
84:06And if you're in one of the deepest leagues, I may imaginable, uh, guess.
84:10Sicky is somewhat on my radar. I totally agree.
84:13He's, he's the featured player when they need to go into like traditional, like 11 personnel stuff, right?
84:18He'll be like the de facto slot. Those other two, those other two tight ends, they're quality blockers.
84:23And I've noticed that on the chase Brown runs, like there are some times where Eric all and drew sample are like moving players.
84:30And like, that's like another reason, like why the Bengals offense is like a little bit more stable, uh, now than it was previously.
84:37Okay. Let's talk Cleveland Browns next. And we're going to go back to your fancy points over replacement model and image here
84:43because Quinshon Judkins in the fifth round has been one of the worst selections in fancy football.
84:48Obviously they opened with the Jaguars and the Buccaneers, arguably the two defenses other than the Minnesota Vikings to run on.
84:54Um, but then here against the Panthers, there were some moments, but just overall in a game that they won, I'll be at tight 18 carries for 70.
85:02yards, 3.9 per clip. So Hayden, is there any light for Quinchon Judkins for the rest of the season?
85:08Just individually, I would say he's a step slower than he was last year where I thought there was like some like nice, like turbo moments from him.
85:16And he's a difficult tackle for how big he is.
85:19Um, I still think that the vision is fine and the offensive line is going to be one that's never going to
85:25be good, but you hope that it kind of gels together as the season progresses.
85:29Like it's a lot of, you know, like you have a rookie left tackle.
85:34You have a bunch of new players that have never played together.
85:37You obviously have a new coach as well. Um, there's a lot of moving parts.
85:41Like I'm not that surprised like the first part of the year has been as bad as it has been for, for Quinchon Judkins.
85:48I can't say I'm optimistic, but like, could he be a flex?
85:52Like for the next couple of weeks, I still think that he could be a flex, but I think, you know, you
85:58know, you're trying to find like the RB two in the fifth round.
86:02Like I think that's going to be a large swing and a miss here.
86:06Even with Dylan Sampson being out there, he's catching a couple more passes this year than last year, which has helped him out.
86:12But it's not going to be like a schemed up thing for Quinchon because the rest of the skill group is just like, they're too good.
86:20Yeah. Raheem Sanders gets in there to, as like the pure receiver work on, on top of it too.
86:25It's just now I think at best he gives you 70 to 80 yards if they're in games that they're going to win.
86:32Uh, and then you have to get a goal line touchdown for it to like really pay off to get into top 12 running back ish status.
86:40And if not, you're going to hover around like eight to nine points on, on a weekly basis.
86:45So again, a lot of the running backs in that area where he was selected, because it was after, you know, a
86:51tier below the, uh, Deandre Swifts of the world.
86:54Uh, we're all just like kind of throwing darts here.
86:57The hope is this completely new offensive line gels as the season goes along.
87:01At the same time, I think Todd Munkin is an awesome coach and he's doing a fantastic job having this team at, at two and one.
87:08And you know, they get the Steelers and the Jets over the next two games.
87:13Like those are winnable games for just about anyone, especially in a short week here against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
87:18I do want to bring up Casey Concepcion. He had nine targets in this game.
87:22I mean, some of the most vomit inducing vile throws that you will ever, ever see, um, off target behind him, horrible timing late on it.
87:30Like I understand Deshaun Watson had a decent fourth quarter against the Panthers, but right now the Browns are winning on the
87:36margins and they're not winning necessarily because their quarterback's playing good football for the entire four quarters.
87:41And unfortunately, like Casey Concepcion is the negative beneficiary of, uh, these off target passes.
87:45Totally agree. They're, they're winning some tight ball games.
87:48The like Mason Graham's have like kept these games, uh, uh, close.
87:51It has not been a Deshaun Watson led movement.
87:54I will say the, the thing that Watson has improved on this year versus the previous Browns years is he's definitely more athletic to me.
88:01Like I noticed that in week one when he looked like terrible and week one, he's looked a little bit better the last couple of weeks.
88:09He's picking up some like key first downs and like those used to be punts.
88:13And like, that's how like you're getting at least a couple more plays per game because of this.
88:18And then some of these obviously Prairie Arts eventually will get, um, get home.
88:22Uh, and, but you know, Harold Fannin pops in here, but Denzel Boston gets some looks.
88:27Casey Concepcion is going to get some looks. With all three of those guys factoring in like pretty evenly, it's like hard
88:33to like trust any of them in fantasy lineups.
88:36I think like, you know, next week when we'd be like Casey Concepcion for 80 yards and a touchdown, how awesome was that?
88:42But then the next week it'll be Fannin and then the next week it'll be Boston.
88:47So like, I don't know what we're supposed to do with either of these.
88:51These were better in best ball picks. Um, and you know, I just don't see that really changing this year.
88:57Yeah. We talked about Casey Concepcion being the easy button for this team.
89:00And so that would give us maybe some floor in a weekly basis.
89:04Uh, it's not an easy button when those passes behind the line of scrimmage or the past three yards on the field
89:11is just totally off frame and uncatchable. So it's not easy when like Deshaun Watson throwing that football Dallas Cowboys are next.
89:17Um, the worst pick in the second round, Hayden, according to your fancy points over expected model.
89:22And, you know, factoring in ones who aren't playing right now and AJ Brown and, and Devon Achan.
89:27It's actually George Pickens. So what should those people do with George Pickens that they drafted him?
89:32Nothing at all. Just wait, wait for the good games.
89:35They are coming. He is the wide receiver 12 and expected points.
89:38He is a very good football player. Dak Prescott is very good.
89:42And he's been, you know, right on this border.
89:44Uh, wide receiver one, wide receiver two last year with CD lamb.
89:48Like good days are coming for, for George Pickens.
89:50He's like drawing some defensive pass interferences down the field.
89:53Like those easily could have been touchdowns at times.
89:56Uh, he hasn't had like the best season compared to last year as well.
90:00Um, you know, he's got another difficult matchup against the Texans, but you know, this is not a like sell low.
90:06Um, I would think he's actually more of a buy low than a sell low.
90:10Would you trade Malik neighbor straight up for George Pickens rest of season?
90:14I would trade neighbors and many other players for George Pickens.
90:17Yeah. I mean, I'm only saying that because George Pickens is wide receiver 36 right now.
90:22And that's a facetious question because I I've asked about four times so far.
90:26Uh, yeah, I mean, again, I'll, I'll say this.
90:28He was the 23rd pick in drafts and like T Higgins was the 31st pick in drafts and it's a long season.
90:35You know, we have 14 more weeks in, in the fancy football year.
90:38And so he could easily still perform as that 23rd overall selection, but it, it, it also might get to the point
90:45where we should have just drafted him next to T who was going like eight ish picks later, but we'll see.
90:51Maybe. I don't know. I think George Pickens is a total monster and he just has a little bit more yak ability and, uh, Dak Prescott looks amazing.
90:59Uh, so I think they're going to figure this one out.
91:02Okay. I have nothing else to add about the Cowboys.
91:05Should we move on? Straightforward. Yep. Straightforward. Okay. Detroit lions.
91:08Again, I'm trying to help you people out here because some of you unfortunately drafted Jamison Williams.
91:13He has been one of, if not the worst pick in the sixth round.
91:17Is there any hope they do face the Carolina Panthers and these corners in week four?
91:21I, I, I kind of find the Jamo conversation a little bit annoying.
91:25Um, it's not worked yet and there will be games where, I mean, I'm just like looking at like last year, week 12 does absolutely nothing.
91:32And then week 13, he's, uh, he's scores 23 fantasy points.
91:36And then the next week it's, uh, 14. And then the week after that is 24.
91:40And then he does nothing for three straight weeks.
91:43It's like, you know, did you guys not understand what you signed up for?
91:47I will say this. I think that the Laporta, Amon, Rod, Jamo, uh, or, and Jameer Gibbs aspect when all, all those players are healthy.
91:54Jamo is going to run a little bit more clear out routes.
91:58Like some of those connections down the field are a little bit harder to get to, obviously, but I think golf is playing well.
92:04I think the lions defense is total trash in the secondary right now, and they're going to be in shootouts.
92:10And, you know, we're going to talk about his 75 guard touchdown at any moment, especially when he's facing against, uh, you know, the JC horn list Panthers.
92:18So yeah, his target share is down. He's his eight odd is higher and we're not getting the layups and there's no weekly floor.
92:25Uh, and then next week he'd be the wide receiver one.
92:28I don't know. Yep. Jared points out that his charge of the catch this year is just at 0.4.
92:34Uh, that is because we're not getting the drags away against the grain of the defense.
92:38Like what we got previously when Sam Laporta missed time, you know, for example, and underneath I think I'm watching them.
92:44They're happening. It's just like they haven't connected on them yet.
92:48I think they're, I think they're in the playbook.
92:50Yes. Um, and that's what I mean, like we, he hasn't caught them yet.
92:54They haven't generated fancy points for us yet. Um, and you know, he had drops in the first two weeks of the season.
93:01Basically my conclusion is every year a group might go into the season saying that Jamison Williams is finally a complete player.
93:07He has a floor on a weekly basis. And what we have learned so far is that he does not.
93:13And he still is this high variance rollercoaster that he has been at every single point in his career so far.
93:19And it's just the same thing here, despite a new play caller as a part of it.
93:24And I think it's exactly what you said. It is tough to have four players on an offense, have a floor in fantasy football.
93:31And that is rare if ever. And so to me, how it always was heading into the season Gibbs on raw and
93:37Sam, the porta, and then Jamison Williams is forced on the list.
93:41And that's exactly what the production leads us to, too.
93:43Yep. Completely agree. Okay. I will say watch out for the double moves this week against will lead this backup corner for the Panthers.
93:50He has bitten every single time in every single game on these double moves.
93:54We're going to get one for a touch on the outside.
93:58I guarantee you it's going to be a long one to Jamison Williams this week.
94:02Green Bay Packers are up next. It is a brutal cycle for Green Bay right now.
94:07First, it starts off with no run game. That brings us to second and third and long situations.
94:12That means this patchwork Packers offensive line, which they're bringing in two or three new players to try to fix on the fly in season.
94:19That's never a good thing. Then gets pressure looks on top of it in those spots that are difficult to handle either
94:25games or twists or stunts up front. And then Jordan Love is under duress in those moments.
94:30And then I'll say that there's times when everyone else does their job and Jordan Love is kind of missing some layup throws on top of it, too.
94:38So again, among some disappointing offenses that we have seen in previous years, the number one thing attached to them is offensive line play.
94:45And that's why they don't achieve it. And I think we're already seeing that for the Packers.
94:50And Hayden, if we're already seeing it in week three and week four, typically that kind of sustains itself for the entire season.
94:57Completely agree. There's some reps where Jordan Love is feeling pressure that's not there.
95:01And I totally understand why. It's because the last five plays, there was pressure and he just can't trust it.
95:06Um, so the good news is the run game is so bad that they have no choice but to throw the ball all the time.
95:14And they're only throwing it to two players right now.
95:16Like Tucker Craft is like maybe the most interesting one, um, in that he's not getting the crazy yards after catch moments this year.
95:23He's still a tight end 12 and expected points.
95:26He's a full-time player and they ramped him up immediately after week one out of necessity once Jaden Reed went down.
95:32So I think that Tucker Craft eventually will get home.
95:35Uh, I thought in the first week that he had a couple of explosives where I thought he like looked fine.
95:41Uh, but he keeps dropping passes. He's been a total mess in the blocking department as well.
95:46Like his head has been out of it a lot more than his like physical traits, uh, which has been a big surprise to me there.
95:53Um, but in the meantime, like, you know, Christian Watson's a wide receiver four and wide receiver five usage and Matthew Golden
96:00is a wide receiver 14 on wide receiver six overall usage.
96:03Like those are two awesome picks. And I, Matthew Golden could be frustrating at times.
96:07And then he makes plays over his shoulder, uh, running way down the field at a really high clip.
96:13And, um, I think he's going to have huge, huge games.
96:16I'm not sure if you've seen what I've been watching on the Tucker craft film where it's like, he's just been like, so like uncharacteristically sloppy.
96:23And that's, that's, uh, hurt him in both phases.
96:26A hundred percent. And that can flip, you know, a switch week to week immediately.
96:30And hopefully that just gets figured out. I'll say right now, this Packers team, at least in the Falcons game on Thursday
96:36night football, you know, their 10 play 76 yard touchdown drive was when they were down 27 to seven and true garbage time.
96:43But Jordan love is a good enough quarterback and the wide receivers are good enough that I buy into the garbage time narrative for a team like this.
96:51If they have to get into it because their defense, because of a lack of running game where I wouldn't do that for bad teams out there.
96:59So I am continuing. And obviously at this point, you all drafted Christian Watson and Matthew Golden, because we told you to
97:05all summer long, but no matter if they are underdogs, the rest of the way I am starting those guys in every
97:12single matchup and no questions about the Packers running backs, please.
97:15Like we have to do better than starting these guys.
97:18Well, we have to. Yes. I mean, Marshawn Lloyd was basically removed.
97:21Caleb Johnson saw more snaps than he did at the same time.
97:25If you are trailing and a negative game script, that's when Chris Brooks pops him.
97:29So it doesn't matter. Yeah. None of it matters.
97:31Yeah. Cause they can't block either. Uh, they are the third fastest paced team in the NFL right now.
97:37Which is very different than where they've been the last couple of years too.
97:41So this is notable. It's on our radar. That's for sure.
97:44Houston Texans. CJ Stroud to his backup, backup wide receivers has been bad.
97:48Now there is some optimism that Nico Collins might return here in week four.
97:52Uh, but Reeves pointed this out that CJ Stroud throwing to his wide receivers over the past two weeks when Nico has been out.
97:59He's 17 of 41, a 41 and a half percent completion rate, six yards per attempt.
98:03And a 24.4 percent inaccurate, which is 29th. I will say in this game where I went back and watched, uh, there
98:10were some like threaded passes over the middle that his wide receivers early in that game should just come down with.
98:16And then again, getting the cycle of when they don't make those catches early on, then maybe he has to press and throw some wavered passes later on.
98:24So, uh, again, it's all connected here. Totally connected.
98:26The offensive line has been a complete joke, uh, interior pressure with a backup guard as well right now.
98:32Uh, yeah, this team is so reliant on Nico Collins, like nothing else matters.
98:36Um, I think for the running back rotation, it's like extremely straightforward.
98:39It is every other drive. It's as simple as that.
98:42Like Woody Marks gets a drive. David Montgomery gets a drive.
98:45So we are splitting up the running back usage into two, pretty much like directly into two.
98:50And that's how Woody Marks gets goal line opportunities that David Montgomery is not going to get.
98:55I don't think that either of the backs look that good to me.
98:59I would, I would guess I would lean towards Woody Marks.
99:02Um, if I had to pick who's kind of popped on film a little bit more.
99:07Uh, but the state of the, the backup wide receivers is so bad that it's like, it's a non-negotiable.
99:12Um, so if Nico Collins is not out there, like this team is not, they're not going to put up points.
99:18I don't care who the defense are playing this.
99:21Yeah, I agree on the wide receiver comment. Um, speaking of comments, I got one, uh, I think it was either, I
99:27think it might've been the waiver show with Joel.
99:30Uh, after I said that Dave Montgomery fell into the end zone three times that I need to be, uh, choose my words more wisely.
99:37Um, I, I think Dave Montgomery fell into the end zone three times in, in week one, he had a nice, you
99:43know, eight yard run or whatever it was and had some catches and all that type of stuff.
99:49Ever since then, it's been exactly what my fear has been, you know, even including week one, three yards, 1.7, three yards per carry on 37 attempts.
99:56So far this year, Dave Montgomery has four carries that.
99:59I've gone over five yards on 23 attempts. Woody marks has six carries over five yards.
100:04DeMont has the lowest percentage of his carries to go for five plus yards in the NFL at 18.9%.
100:09Um, I straight up trade David Montgomery for Basial Tootin right now.
100:13If someone would do it in my league easily.
100:15Oh yeah, for sure. I'm not sure if you'd be able to get that.
100:19Uh, my, my fancy boy Texan stat is their number one in wide receiver contested targets.
100:24And it's by eight, it's 24 to 16 is the, is the difference there.
100:28And it is to me the slowest skill group between wide receiver running back tight end and quarterback by a landslide in the NFL right now.
100:35Um, and you feel that. Look, don't get me wrong.
100:38Like there are going to be weeks where Dave Montgomery pays off and falls into the end zone a couple of times.
100:45And this one might be one Hayden it's against the Dallas Cowboys.
100:48They're actually projected for 25 points in this game, which is extremely notable to me, but this offensive line has not shown
100:54anything to me that it is taking its next step.
100:57Uh, they've scored what 19 or 17 points, six points in the last two weeks.
101:02Uh, but you do have the Cowboys and the Titans over the next two weeks.
101:06So again, this can be your moments other than Nico Collins that some of your Texans might pay off.
101:11Yeah. He's RV 21 and usage. Like, I'm not saying like this is a five alarm fire here.
101:17It's just that, you know, like I don't see that.
101:19I don't see an upside path for him. Yeah.
101:22Yeah. Okay. Indianapolis Colts. Let's talk about them and their running game.
101:26Actually, uh, our buddy Ryan Heath noted that the Colts run game with Alec Pierce on and off the field, uh, has some stark splits.
101:33So on the field, 4.75 yards per carry 2.5 yards.
101:36Yards before contact per attempt. And then number one in EPA per rush off the field.
101:40It's bad. 30th in yards per carry 1.38 yards before contact, which is also the 30th, but still fifth in EPA per rush.
101:47So again, we're kind of dealing with somewhat small samples here, but, uh, that is a big difference in Jonathan Taylor's week
101:53three than it was week one and week two.
101:56Might be the Texans defense. Um, I will say their right tackle was completely destroyed by Willie Anderson and predictably so, but
102:02it was, it was one of the worst right tackle performances I've ever seen.
102:06Um, so yeah, that's not going to help the Jonathan Taylor aspect of it, but, uh, easier matchup, uh, this week as well.
102:13And he's still just getting crazy usage, uh, RV six, uh, and usage here catching a couple more passes this year than he has, uh, previously.
102:20And then in the past game, it was good to see Tyler Warren couple like cover two hole shots, uh, nothing like
102:27crazy down the field, but it wasn't only manufactured touches.
102:29And I did like that. Daniel Jones got outside of the pocket that one time and hit the truck stick out there.
102:36It gave me like a little bit more, uh, optimism that like maybe he can offer a little bit more athletically as like the season progresses.
102:43So it was kind of like exactly what I was expecting.
102:46Like Josh downs, like pop gun, you know, slot stuff, Keenan Allen, a trusted player, a little bit more Tyler Warren without Alec Pierce.
102:53And then I think Jonathan Taylor and easy matchups going to get home.
102:57So I, I didn't really learn that much with the Colts.
103:00No, no, not at all. Um, I will say this is my first year playing in a death league over on Yahoo
103:07and it has my brain and a pretzel. I previously already picked up Chris Olave instead of Pukanokua.
103:12The person that got eliminated in week three had Jonathan Taylor, Pukanokua, Trey McBride, Parker, Washington, Malik neighbors, and George Kittle on their team.
103:19And so it's making me wonder, I mean, you're in the league too, how much to invest and all that type of stuff.
103:25Well, uh, to show my hand here, I will see you in the Jonathan Taylor bidding because I am desperate for running back.
103:32I need one now. Yeah. Okay. I kind of have to decide if like, I want to overspend the new on Jonathan
103:38Taylor or and put him in my flex, uh, or keep like Emeka Gbuka in there, for example.
103:43So my running back is much better than yours.
103:46You don't want to talk to Taylor. No. I'm, I'm having a blast with this death league.
103:51Like I haven't cared more about waivers ever before.
103:53So I want to do, we should do multiple death leagues with, uh, viewers next year.
103:58Yes. We should definitely do that. On Yahoo, of course.
104:01Yes. On Yahoo, of course. Jacksonville Jaguars. Let's talk about them.
104:04I mean, Parker, Washington stud, facial tootin, even in a game where he like didn't break a bunch of tackles.
104:10It is so clear that they are trusting him in the backfield.
104:13Now grinding out three yard gains, five yard gains, eight, nine yard gains.
104:17And he still hasn't hit that like 30 plus yard explosive.
104:20And it might get there at some point. But, uh, the big one, and I said it in the waiver show, Brian Thomas jr is just completely droppable.
104:28He has transformed into just a role player on this team.
104:31Now playing only 35%, 54% and 37% of snaps over the last three weeks.
104:36Yeah. I mean, Jacobi Myers, the wide receiver 66 and usage.
104:39He had a nice touchdown grab here. And then Brian Thomas is wide receiver 79.
104:43It's like this offense has really turned into, you know, it's all Parker Washington.
104:47Then you get, you know, a mixture of a little bit of Brendan strange, a little bit of the wide receiver four,
104:53a little bit of, uh, Chris Rodriguez who had a goal line opportunity, but it's, it's really just, there's, there's three fantasy starters.
105:00It's Trevor Lawrence, it's facial tootin and spark of Washington.
105:03I think everyone else is all noise. This offense is so awesome and so well coached, um, that the rest of those
105:09guys are going to have big moments and you are not going to be able to predict them, uh, on tootin.
105:15He is the wider or the running back 13 on running back 26 usage.
105:19So he's been one of the most efficient players.
105:22According to my model, he's breaking a lot of tackles.
105:25He's not making nearly as many mistakes as he did the year prior.
105:28He looks like a totally fine pick. And, uh, even if Chris Rodriguez steals a couple of goal line touch touchdowns, that's going to be totally fine here.
105:37Yeah, totally fine. If, if we look at where basal tootin was selected, the 11th pick of the fifth round, um, obviously
105:43like Devante Adams dominates that fifth round area right now, but a lot of other names we talked about QJ before and
105:49Quinchon Judkins, uh, Jaden Daniels was selected in that area.
105:52Jalen Hurts has not really panned out as a fancy quarterback, Tucker craft at the end.
105:57So, uh, yeah, I mean facial tootin was awesome in comparison to a bunch of the wide receivers going in that area too, among running backs as well.
106:05So it's, uh, it's cool to see. It's cool to see what they're running back 13 right now in fancy points.
106:11Next up is the Kansas city chiefs where top three running back can walk the third resides.
106:16Uh, I mean, it's a straightforward team as well.
106:18Is it not? It's Ken Walker, the third and it's Travis Kelsey.
106:22And then a whole bunch of hubbub with Patrick Mahomes looking back to his former self and looking unbelievable this year.
106:28Yeah. Mahomes is going to be in the MVP race here.
106:31Um, I guess the player I'm, you know, trying to get the best read on is Rashi rice.
106:36Uh, first two weeks, pretty, pretty mediocre. He obviously had like a little free play to kind of, you know, get him
106:42into the box score in, in week two, but the first two weeks it was not encouraging usage this week.
106:48It was, I say more signs of life here.
106:51Um, I thought that he got, uh, open a couple of times over the middle, a couple designed looks here.
106:57Uh, he's always going to be like somewhat, um, mixing in, in the red area though.
107:01Uh, we're seeing a lot more Kenneth Walker, right?
107:04Rightfully so. Um, so I think as Kenneth Walker's touches kind of come back to earth a little bit, I think that's
107:10how Rashi rice kind of gets, you know, propelled back into like the wider receiver to conversation.
107:15Um, we didn't know if the chiefs were going to be an elite offense going into the year.
107:20And now I feel pretty comfortable that they will be like a fringe top five one.
107:25And I think that's going to keep Rashi rice kind of like, he's not going to be a home run pick, but
107:31I think he's going to be a top 24 wide receiver, uh, this season.
107:35And I think last week is probably more of what we should expect.
107:39The big caveat being the dolphins haven't covered anybody the entire year.
107:42And there were some wide open plays for Russia, but I thought the usage was like more what I'm kind of expecting for him.
107:49Yeah. And look, we talked about this chiefs passing attack, transforming and on some like kind of concepts and under center stuff and play action off of it.
107:57It has to some degree, but in terms of the routes that are still winning and the players that are still winning, it has not transformed, right?
108:05It is Travis Kelsey on rushy rice. And every once in a while you have a gimmick play to Xavier worthy.
108:11And then a deep shot to Tyquan Thornton. Um, Steven Patton posted this chart on, on Twitter where Patrick Mahomes, uh, is
108:17top four and passing our top five and passing yards across the league.
108:21But just 36% of those are air yards, uh, compared to like, you know, Bryce Young's at 60%.
108:26Tyler Shucks is 53%. Uh, Matthew Savage at 58%.
108:29Jordan loves at 54%. And there's like four guys ahead of him.
108:32So again, it goes back to this team is still kind of built on yards after the catch moments, which by the
108:39way, half of that has come from Travis Kelsey so far this year, which is incredible stuff.
108:44Yeah. Number one yards after the catch through three weeks is still Travis Kelsey.
108:48Amazing. Let's talk to the Las Vegas Raiders. And there's only one name to lead with this.
108:53How did Clint Kubiak utilize Brock Bowers? And is it the stuff of dreams?
108:57I mean, it's pretty close to the JSN rule.
108:59Like that's not even that much of an exaggeration.
109:02It's, it's as close of a real wide receiver as a tight ended name since, you know, like Jimmy Graham or like,
109:08I mean, this is like a version of Travis Kelsey.
109:11And I don't think this is going to slow down.
109:14He had 21.5 expected half PBR points. That was his third best usage in a game throughout his career.
109:19The second most by a tight end this season.
109:22And Clint Kubiak is just going to dial things up down the football field over the middle.
109:27And they're going to have corners on Brock Bowers.
109:29And I just think Brock Bowers is just going to win those matchups.
109:33Like the agent right now has to be contacting the Raiders and saying, we're changing the label here.
109:38You are not going to pay him like the best tight end.
109:42You are going to pay him like an elite wide receiver because that's what he is.
109:46So my takeaway from this game is one glad that he's healthy.
109:50It's always gonna be in the back of my mind.
109:53It's the way he plays in the injury history and the knees.
109:56But I think if we were drafting right now, I think I would take him in the first round of fantasy football.
110:03Yep. I cannot wait to see how Steve Spagnuolo decides to try to cover Brock Bowers here in week four against the
110:09Chiefs because he'll have something planned up and we'll see if it works.
110:13Is it Kool-Aid McKinstry? Was that the corner number one on the Saints?
110:16Brock Bowers lined up, isolated him a number of times on the boundary as a wide receiver and got the better of him.
110:23Like doing legit wide receiver stuff, speed outs, vertical patterns, kind of flood concepts.
110:27And he's the middle one. He was doing it all.
110:30And, you know, the Raiders immediately led the league in 12 personnel in week three.
110:34This is why the Raiders gave Michael Mayer a new contract and, you know, training camp.
110:39And on top of it, they also did a lot of 22 personnel stuff from what I saw with like Connor Hayward
110:45lined up there as a pseudo fullback slash tight end.
110:48And that even force feeds Brock Bowers the football even more.
110:51This is why we talked about heavier personnel sets all summer long.
110:55And so Hayden, while it was extremely frustrating for the people that drafted him in round one, uh, and excuse me, round
111:01two in weeks one and two, uh, that is so clear to me that if he stays healthy, this is going to
111:07be exactly the upside pick that could, you know, change the tight end landscape and give you like a three or four
111:14point advantage, despite this being the year of the tight end over ever their name, not named Trey McBride this season.
111:20Yeah. The only negative I can think of is just that the rest of the tight end group is as deep as ever.
111:26So like fancy points over replacement, it comes down a little bit, but like, that's it.
111:31This, this is an elite wide receiver that you can play in at your tight end spot with a head coach who's
111:37been awesome and just has a history of funneling the ball to one player and one player only.
111:42Uh, and I just think that he's going to do that again.
111:46And like the 12 personnel stuff, those aren't 12 personnel plays.
111:49Like those are three wide receiver set plays and that just, they have Brock Bowers at X wide receiver.
111:55Like that's all it is. Yeah. Uh, the, they're getting respect from the markets too.
111:59Um, this game opened with a total of 43 and a half and it's already risen to 47 and a half.
112:05So, uh, that's notable to me. I get a sense from doing this show with you for a very long time when
112:11you're kind of lower than the public on a certain player.
112:14Talk to me about Ashen Jenty because you know, I don't consume as much fancy content as maybe I used to, but
112:21a lot of other shows might be saying that he's a locked in round one pick for the rest of the way.
112:27Where are you at with Ashen Jenty right now?
112:30I just think he's a little bit overrated as a pure talent.
112:33Um, I just think that he doesn't get to the corner fast enough and I think he shuffles his feet and he's
112:39hard to tackle, but I just don't see like a very explosive player and explosives are pretty key.
112:45So I spent a little bit underwhelmed. There's some data kind of back that up.
112:49There's 51 qualifying running backs. He's RB 40 and rush yards over expected RB 43 and success rate RB 45 and EPA per carry.
112:56Um, yeah, I just think it takes a little bit too long for him to get up to speed.
113:01And I think there's been some gaps where I think a faster running back hits that and takes off and none of this would matter at all.
113:09If Mike Washington wasn't, you know, just kind of sitting behind him and that 36 yard touchdown like that's kind of the
113:15difference between Ashen Jenty and Mike Washington. Like those are gonna be totally two different players and you're gonna have different play designs for them.
113:23But you know, I'm not sure if the RB three in usage for, for the first three weeks is going to hold.
113:29And he's been the RB eight and fancy points.
113:32Uh, the offense is awesome. Ashen Jenty is a capable pass catcher.
113:35Mike Washington, like it's going to be a slow ramp up for him, but I don't know, man.
113:40Mike Washington looks really awesome. And, uh, I think that, you know, this gap, I think it's going to close kind of as the season progresses.
113:48Yeah. I don't want to get too negative as an Ashen Jenty based on the opportunities he's getting right now.
113:53Um, I will say he's the running back eight in fancy points per game at this moment, despite having, you know, 29
114:00touches in week one, 25 touches in week two, along with a couple drops and then 22 touches in week three.
114:06Like that's a whole lot of volume. And Brian points this out that he's been stuffed inside the 10 yard line, uh, on all seven.
114:13I think of his carries are all six of them and six of them.
114:17He's been hitting the backfield. So it's, um, look that can change in an instant where there's better blocking and he falls
114:23into the end zone and all that changes. But I agree with you.
114:27Like the 36 yard touchdown for Mike Washington is exactly what I kind of pictured with that signing of a player.
114:33Um, I don't want to read into too much of Clint Kubiak after the game saying, Hey, we want to get Mike Washington more touches.
114:40Uh, Clint Kubiak's press conferences are very brief and he says about five word answers.
114:45And, uh, I don't think he believes anything that he says there.
114:48No, he doesn't. You almost have to respect it.
114:51You know, uh, like it's to the point that he's taken it.
114:54Um, and by the way, just on stats or so, um, I think hopefully on all our podcasts, not everything that I
115:01say has to be an exact fantasy take. Like I want to just mix in like, what am I watching?
115:06Like, I think that, you know, there's a, there's an aspect of both of you.
115:11We want to talk about that. Like both things can be true that Ashton Gentry can be a totally fine player in fantasy.
115:17And that also I'm a little bit underwhelmed and like the reasons why I'm a little bit underwhelmed.
115:22Like, I think like that type of stuff I want to keep hitting on, even if it's not like, Oh, he's going
115:29to be better than that in fantasy. It's like, okay, we can grow beyond that.
115:33That's a fantastic point. Thank you for saying that.
115:36Let's talk about the loss in this chargers next.
115:38So Amarn Hampton, his role has declined significantly and that's a disaster situation for people that drafted him.
115:43So Keaton Mitchell played 38% of the snaps in week three, Amarn Hampton down to 42%.
115:48And then Kamani Vidal jumped up to 25%. So it's not necessarily that Keaton Mitchell's role is necessarily growing here.
115:54It's that they're actually throwing in Kamani Vidal for certain situations.
115:57Justin Herbert has dropped back 69 times over the last two weeks.
116:00The routes from that department, Keaton Mitchell 22, Kamani Vidal 18, Amarn Hampton just 15.
116:05And then Amarn Hampton's targets just a 3.4% share.
116:07So it's very clear as you talked about on Sunday, Amarn Hampton's runs are directly upfield.
116:12Keaton Mitchell stuff is to the sideline. And every once in a while, some of that's working, but it's not the full
116:18workload in a good rushing offense that gives these guides the line of scrimmage.
116:22And that was the reason why I was willing to draft Amarn Hampton at the 1-2 turn.
116:27Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of Hampton watching him from the rookie season.
116:31And I think a lot of that kind of just proved true.
116:35He's not reliable in pass protection. And that's why they got Kamani Vidal for the first time out there is for the pass protection reps.
116:42And that doesn't matter that much, but it matters on the margins.
116:45What happened last week was fascinating. Just more of a commitment to Keaton Mitchell on the ground.
116:50And him getting that goal line carry, it wasn't not like a traditional goal line carry, but that does kind of suck on the margins for Amarn Hampton.
116:58And I think the bigger thing is just another week of the Chargers offense looks like a bottom 10-1, not a top 10-1.
117:05And they get the Seahawks this week as well.
117:07So Hampton's really falling in my running back rankings.
117:10He's still fast enough that he's going to hit the hole a couple times and really go crazy.
117:15And he is still a difficult tackle. But there's more to running back than just being a difficult tackle.
117:21That's kind of all he is. Yeah. All the other stuff, they kind of just segmented this backfield.
117:26And that was my concern. Kamani Vidal's not going to be fantasy relevant.
117:30He could just kind of be an annoyance. And I think we're already at that stage in week three.
117:35Yeah. Hampton doesn't have any make-you-miss capabilities. He has no lateral agility to his game.
117:39And he's big and runs fast in a straight line.
117:42And then he twists and turns on final contact.
117:45And it's kind of awkward in that area. And that's it.
117:48And we talked about it all summer long. This was one of those cases where I was kind of drafting situation over individual talent.
117:55And I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have done that.
117:58It's really that simple. Because the situation is worse than I could have ever imagined.
118:02To the point, Hayden. They face the Seattle Seahawks this week on the road.
118:06I don't know if you've already seen it. But what do you think the projected team total is for the Chargers right now?
118:13I do see it. But tell the audience, it's bad.
118:16It's 17 and three quarters points. That has already gone down by a point and a half since the markets opened.
118:22So, yeah. That's horrific. I never thought we'd be there with the Chargers this season.
118:26Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's also on my radar that QJ had the drop last week.
118:31QJ has really done nothing in terms of getting to the right spot at the right time.
118:36That I could easily see in week four, week five.
118:38Trey Harris just coming in and taking over that wide receiver two spot.
118:42And if that's the case, I think Trey Harris is extremely relevant in your waiver wires out there.
118:47Even starting this week. I'm not saying start him in week four.
118:51Just because this team is going to have to drop back so often.
118:55Based on the status of this rushing game and the defense.
118:58And how much they're just going to throw the football.
119:01That Trey Harris, just by virtue of being out there.
119:03Could end up as a wide receiver three. It was a season or a career high in expected points for him last week.
119:10And he split a couple zone defenders. And I was like, oh, there's a little bit more pop there.
119:16So, I agree with you. I can totally see it flipping in.
119:19Speaking of the waiver wire. Let's talk about the Miami Dolphins.
119:22It's Ollie Gordon versus Jalen Wright versus Malik Washington versus Chris Bell.
119:26What do you want to do this week? Considering it's not just, you know, week four that we're talking about.
119:31But I do want to throw out that they have a 13 and three quarters team total at this point.
119:37Look, that's the advantage of Ollie Gordon is that he's healthy right now over Jalen Wright.
119:42You are not starting a running back projected for 14 points, you know, like against the Vikings.
119:47Like there's no way. Like if you think you're picking up Ollie Gordon and starting him this week, you've lost the plot.
119:53And I think for that reason, I would rather take a swing on Jalen Wright long term because I just think he's the better player.
120:00And guess what? I'm not going to take that swing either.
120:03The swings I'm taking are at the wide receiver spot.
120:06Malik Washington got backfield work. After the game, Halfley was saying that he's cross-trained to both positions.
120:11He looks like Devon HN the most, like by far.
120:14Like he looks like the player that they can replace him with.
120:17He also stacked Mansour Delane way down the football field and Malik Willis overthrew him.
120:22But like he stacked a first round corner way down the football field.
120:26So, yeah, it's not going to matter because it's the Dolphins.
120:29But if I had to take one, it would absolutely be Malik Washington.
120:32You cannot convince me of the running backs here.
120:35Look at the chart. The projected team total has actually gone down during the show, Hayden.
120:40It's down to 13 and a half. And I'm not joking.
120:43I'm serious with that. That's brutal. That's brutal. Like so often when unfortunate injuries happen to running back spots, it turns into opportunity for someone else.
120:50However, Devon HN was averaging what? Like 10, 9 fancy points per game owning this entire backfield basically in the first two healthy weeks.
120:57So then you're kind of splitting that in half between two running backs that are kind of very different stylings.
121:03So that's, that's, I, I, maybe I'm wrong in the, in the long run because we have what?
121:0813 weeks, 14 weeks left in the fancy season.
121:11This is one of those few cases where I actually liked Ali Gordon heading into last year.
121:16I just feel so bad about this entire Dolphins operation at this point that I don't want to invest in him right
121:22now compared to, I think what other people will spend on them.
121:25I, it's not even the spending. It's the roster spot.
121:28I do not want a roster. It's not even about fab, but I do not want the roster spot on the Dolphins backfield.
121:35Um, it's, it's Malik Washington, by the way, he's a wide receiver, 21 expected points, wide receiver, 16 targets per game, wide
121:41receiver, 19 nary yards per game, wide receiver, nine and target share right now.
121:45Uh, he needs all that work because it's not, it's not going to be very efficient, but he's going to be a PPR scam this year.
121:53And then I also wanted to get your thoughts on Chris Bell.
121:56I thought there was a lot of like very interesting moments for him.
122:00Uh, PB man sort of laying a couple of times on press fan coverage, uh, on in breakers.
122:05And then also had a big, uh, in breaker for an explosive as well.
122:09So like, that's a pretty promising, that's a pretty promising player to me.
122:13Yeah. And we packaged that with what I thought was pretty promising first two weeks for Caleb Douglas on top of it too.
122:20Yeah. Uh, so again, I think that this is a wide receiver duo that they can build around.
122:25I'm just glad that they're getting reps out there and kind of learning, learning on the job.
122:30I mean, everyone's learning on the job in that offense.
122:32I would even say that Caden Proctor had a really good game at left guard.
122:37Um, it's weird. There's individuals that are there, but it's just like, it's just not, it's not cutting it right now.
122:43And the defense doesn't help at all. Cause you're just going to be a negative game script for the entire game.
122:49But Jacob Rodriguez, who is their second round linebacker.
122:51He's been awesome. It's every, it's everyone else. I have a soft spot for this Dolphins team.
122:56I want to watch them. I want to root for them.
123:00They, there is a, um, an acceptance of what they are and they're still going for it.
123:04And I've liked Halfley, like how honest he is up there.
123:08Same thing with Malik Willis. Like they've got some fun players.
123:11This team is terrible, obviously, but they are like a, you know, I I'm keeping my eye on them just because, you
123:17know, they're, they're taking like an optimistic lens over it all.
123:20Anything you want to say about the Minnesota Vikings who are next their opponent here in week four?
123:25Uh, we know Justin Jefferson actually came back with positive news on his ankle.
123:29He might even play here in week four, but Kyler Murray stepped in again.
123:34And they were part of that atrocious third quarter where I think they and the Bucks combined for 27 total yards in that entire quarter.
123:41Um, but Jordan Addison got home with, you know, the two big explosives on the field.
123:45Yeah. Addison had a couple of really bad moments in press man coverage, but at the same time, when you have that
123:52speed and you like that kind of relentless, there's like downfield, uh, you know, role, like it's going to pop off.
123:58I thought Kyler Murray played panic. I will say their right guard was, that was one of the worst performances from Will fries.
124:04Uh, their center was getting walked back. Like those two players, it wasn't the left guard.
124:09It wasn't really the tackle. It was the center and right guard got completely walked back, which is concerning because you're talking
124:15about Kyler Murray is a short quarterback and interior pressure is always just going to, uh, kind of spook him.
124:21Uh, yeah, it was a lot of downfield attempts, not really going anywhere.
124:25So if Addison or if Jefferson is out, I would absolutely play Jordan Addison as a top 25 fantasy wide receiver.
124:31Uh, but once Justin Jefferson's back there, like Addison can't be trusted until Kyler Murray, like shows like a little bit more stability in this offense.
124:38Let's talk to New England Patriots. I am the sicko that in the experts league started Drake May in each of the last three weeks.
124:45Just hopefully, hoping it's going to get better. Um, oh yeah.
124:49Yeah. I mean, there's nothing. It was CJ Stroud or Drake, man.
124:52I was just like, why not? Let's just go with, with Drake.
124:56Um, since the start of the post season last year, Drake may now has nine fumbles and 10 interceptions.
125:01Is there any hope? Can this turn around or is this just the sorry state of the Patriots offense?
125:07And Drake may is also just making complete boneheaded mistakes that he almost never did last year.
125:11He's playing awful. Um, there was this, I had a stat on the first read targets and they were dead last in that.
125:18I think that's, you know, a scheme stat. I think that's just, you know, the personnel you're throwing to, are they any good?
125:25And that they haven't been very good. And then also the quarterback playing there, but they're, they're dead last in the NFL.
125:31Like they have a negative EPA per play when they're throwing the ball to the first read.
125:36And then obviously out of structure has been a complete rollercoaster as well.
125:40Um, is there a fantasy starter period, you know, Travion Henderson and Ramond Ray.
125:44It was, it was a, you know, the same old stuff with them where it was very even.
125:49Uh, it wasn't a good game from anybody in this offense.
125:52They're projected for 20, uh, 0.75 points. Obviously we have running back ranking show tomorrow, but like that, that's my question is
125:58Ramond Ray got the goal line carry. Uh, and then Travion got a lot of this work early on.
126:04Um, are they good enough to carry like a legitimate, like split backfield, like 50, 50 here?
126:09And I, I'm not sure if the answer is yes.
126:12No, it's to the point where you have to be, they have to prove it to you to play anyone in the
126:18starting lineup right now in your fantasy line. That's fair.
126:21It really is that simple. Um, yeah, I've got no idea what I'm going to do with that quarterback spot.
126:27I, I don't even want to talk about it.
126:29Okay. Next, let's talk about the, uh, the new Orleans saints.
126:32Um, not too much to discuss with this team either, right?
126:35You have Chris Olave. You have Juwan Johnson, who I believe is a tight end four on the season right now.
126:42Just a heck of a pick, heck of a pick along with George could obeying the tight end three.
126:47Uh, the running back room, nothing was solved with Travis HN leaving.
126:50It's still a three person committee. And then you have Devon belly popping up as a questionable flex weekend and week out.
126:57Anything you want to add here? Uh, this seems projected for a lot of points this week.
127:02This team is playing at the league's highest pace.
127:04They are Tyler Shuck is like dropping back. Like I think it's like close to 50 times per game right now.
127:10And when you drop back 50 times per game, you can start everyone.
127:14And especially when, you know, they know what they have in Alvin Kamara, which is nothing.
127:19Same thing with Kendra Miller, you know, CJ Donaldson's the same rotation there.
127:22There's seems just going to live and die by the Tyler Shuck dropbacks.
127:26And, you know, Jawan Johnson's been highly, uh, interesting to watch after the catch.
127:30Um, but I think they lay is like a real starter this week.
127:34Um, we'll get to that in our wide receiver rankings episode on Friday.
127:38Uh, but he's the wide receiver 25 on wide receiver 22 usage this season.
127:42A lot of that was the first game there, but his, his, uh, week to week usage has stayed the exact same across.
127:48And I don't know why that would change this week.
127:51So I, I think that Bailey is like kind of like getting like, he's part of the trust, trust for you right now.
127:58New York jets. I talked a lot about Kenyan Sadiq on the waiver show.
128:02I want your take on Kenyan Sadiq, who I believe is the tight end six already on the season points per game.
128:08Uh, that's no tight, tight end eight. Excuse me.
128:11Uh, following up a, a 20 point week here.
128:13I know I'll be three. Tight end eight on tight end 21 usage.
128:17So he's getting home on explosives and some manufactured touches.
128:20Everything has worked to Sadiq. That's a win. He is still out there for 59% of the routes, 58% of the snaps.
128:26So we're still like overcoming this like part-time player that said, whenever he's on the field, they're going to get the ball to him.
128:33And that diving play, I mean, what a absolute missile that was from Gino Smith on that seam route.
128:39That was a, uh, not the first read and the play.
128:42So awesome play by Gino Smith. There's, you know, the attempted hurdle in the flat for Sadiq.
128:47We've gotten end of rounds for him as well.
128:49So I agreed with you and Joel that he would be my second waiver wire addition.
128:54Like, you know, I think Tyler Higbee this week could be really interesting, but like long term Sadiq is like, it's like
129:00getting too good to ignore on a team that's like largely going to be playing for the future.
129:05Um, so as long as Mason Taylor is not out there, I think that Sadiq is interesting.
129:10Yeah. I don't want to pour cold water on this.
129:13This is more of a football take than a fancy take.
129:16I do want to note for people that I don't believe that Ken and Sadiq is in the plans for this team
129:23to be like their isolated, singular tight end in 11 personnel looks, you know?
129:27So maybe they'll just live out of 12 personnel when Mason Taylor comes back because Omar Cooper, you know, is banged up
129:33and they don't want to put Isaiah Williams out there and all that type of stuff.
129:38Yeah. But what King Sadiq was doing was kind of that secondary piece in 12 most of the time and was given free releases.
129:45And as a movement player, I'm not saying that that's a negative for fancy football.
129:49Like that's good. We want the good athletic receiver to be utilized as an athletic receiver.
129:54Uh, I'm just saying overall, I don't know if we're going to see a full-time tight end 80% snap player during a
130:00large portion of his rookie season, but maybe we do get there at some point because been very high and Mason Taylor
130:06has been playing well when on the field. Yeah, I think it's a short-term addition, uh, with the chance that he's just
130:13like too good to put back in the back.
130:15So if Adonai Mitchell and Mason Taylor out, then he's going to be a top 10 fancy tight end for me.
130:21Um, and then, and flex by the other. Yes.
130:24Yeah, definitely flex possible. Garrett Wilson. That was unbelievable tape.
130:27I thought he had the lions DBs spinning in circles, um, for a lot of that game, like legitimately spinning in circles.
130:33Like they were playing a bunch of man coverage and they couldn't hang.
130:37So it was, it was the highest we had ranked Garrett Wilson heading into the week.
130:41And, you know, I'm probably going to double down on that.
130:44Gino Smith's playing good football, uh, 38% target share last week for Garrett Wilson with everyone else out of the lineup.
130:51And it's a, as good of a matchup against the Chicago bears.
130:54A hundred percent. I think Gino looks awesome too.
130:57It's so cool to see him dig in his feet and then just re rip that seam pass or the double move to Garrett Wilson.
131:04He he's kind of back to his Seattle Seahawks ways a little bit.
131:08And, you know, I think there's some offensive line problems when we can now talk about the running game.
131:13They're not creating a bunch of holes there, but, um, they're giving Gino enough time and enough, I would say comfort and
131:19confidence in them that he's willing to stick in there and fire these passes down the field.
131:24Do you agree with Joel and I that you would rather have Braylon Allen for two or three weeks than Ollie Gordon or Jalen Wright for 13 weeks?
131:32Yeah, I think so. Um, you just never know about the quad injury.
131:36I think that Braylon Allen's like a totally fine bench stash, like for the rest of the season, he's played 84 of
131:4288 snaps without Brees Hall on the field this season.
131:45I mean, that's, you know, it's hard to find.
131:48Um, Isaiah Davis has been active in all those games.
131:51He just has not played an offensive snap yet.
131:53Uh, and the Jets are 20, um, 0.1 expected half-peak pair points to the running back room through three weeks.
131:59So if you give, you know, 80% of that to Braylon Allen, you have an RB2.
132:04Seattle Seahawks. Second to last team. We're going to stay in the running back room here.
132:08It's the only thing to talk about the Seahawks.
132:11Uh, Jadarian Price had a bad fumble kind of on like a second phase of being tackled.
132:16Uh, it sucks because he opened with like a really nice 11 yard run.
132:20They did bring him back out there just for a couple snaps.
132:23And one of those was a wheel route that I swear Hayden, if he was going up against anyone other than Sonny
132:30Stiles, it would have been a nice gain, but Sonny Stiles stayed stride for stride and tipped it away.
132:35A great PBU by him. But, um, like, look, we talked about Basial Tootin stacking strong performances and earning trust.
132:41It's kind of getting to this point where Jadarian Price is doing a little bit of the opposite in a way where
132:47in week two, it was the injury that sidelined him for the entire fourth quarter.
132:51And especially here, losing a fumble in a losing effort that doesn't generate more opportunities for you in terms of stacking games.
132:58I mean, no one's going to have a good read on this.
133:01Um, I don't know. I mean, you're going to go back to the same too, by the way.
133:06I agree. But also got two different goal line opportunities on different drives.
133:10Holani got a goal line opportunity. And then even without the fumbles, like Emmanuel Wilson was getting subbed in at goal line before the fumbles.
133:17He was closing out the game with a chest injury.
133:20You know, like I'm going to listen to whatever they're say, uh, and like read up on the Seahawks reporters on what we're going to do here.
133:28But like my expectation is that Jadarian Price is going to be in a three back committee until proven otherwise.
133:34And you know, Charbonnet is not that far away from returning here.
133:37Um, so like, unfortunately, like the window is closing on Jadarian Price.
133:41Like we needed him to be balling out right now.
133:44And it's just not seized the opportunity. They don't trust him in pass protection at all.
133:48Uh, and the fumbles aren't, aren't helping. And then obviously, you know, Sonny Stiles, like both of those plays, like the, the punch out on Price.
133:56And then also that coverage, that is what an all pro linebacker looks like.
134:00And like, he is, he's massive. Uh, so it's like so cool to watch him play.
134:04Yeah. I would have loved if they saved that wheel route for, you know, against a different linebacker, not named, not named Sonny Stiles.
134:11Uh, that would have been great. And maybe one of the Chargers linebackers this week, you know, that would have been cool.
134:18Like Deion Henley, throw it against him instead of Sonny Stiles.
134:21Yeah. Uh, I don't think we need to throw out the dozen awesome Jason's stats out there because, you know, Jason's like
134:27the best pick and facey football at this moment.
134:30Yep. I agree. Okay. Might start him. We'll close with the Tennessee Titans and maybe every week we should close with the
134:36Tennessee Titans, uh, just because there's like nothing left to add here.
134:39I mean, truly nothing left, uh, unless you want to talk about like Alec Ayannor.
134:44I understand Cardinal Tate got a little bit more involved here, but I mean the 30-ish seconds left in the clock, having
134:50two timeouts and throwing the interception in the red zone is just ridiculous stuff when you can at least send it into overtime.
134:57I didn't watch the Zayns. They're in the rain.
134:59I've had enough of this offense, so I didn't learn anything.
135:02They were not on my to-do list. So unless you have more notes than that.
135:07Uh, no, I don't. Um, they are projected for 16 and a quarter point.
135:11So they should thank the Miami Dolphins for keeping them from the bottom of the barrel.
135:15And they face the Baltimore Ravens here in week four, Hayden.
135:19So just, just when you think. Yeah. Just when you think.
135:22It can't get worse. It gets worse. Um, one note, Pollard's the running back 28 and running back 25 usage.
135:27He's still just playing a lot more snaps than Spears.
135:30But like, you know, don't play him. He's great for your bench, but don't play him.
135:35Yes. And my market share of carries and snaps leak.
135:38Tony Pollard is a fine flex option. He's positive.
135:40I agree. All right. That's going to do it for us.
135:44Thanks so much for tuning in. Uh, tomorrow it's Hayden.
135:46I for running back rankings. And then on Friday, it's Hayden.
135:50I for wide receiver rankings. So thank you for the support.
135:53Thank you for the comments. Thank you for watching.
135:55Thank you for subscribing. And thank you for leaving thumbs up on the video.
135:59And thank you to the production team for sticking with us for over two hours and 15 minutes every single week here
