Aaron Rodgers

NegativeProjection19:20

Rodgers is the Steelers' quarterback and provides a high floor for the offense as long as he stays healthy; there's probably not a way for the offense to finish bottom five if Rodgers remains healthy. However, Matt Harmon is not enthused by what he watched out of Rodgers last year and does not expect much change in what he can offer, noting he is hyper-specific at this point. Despite this, McCarthy is a high floor play caller and the offensive line is settled enough to give the team a projectable floor.

Insight page

Adam Randall

NegativeDepth Chart43:43

Kyle Shanahan expresses skepticism about Adam Randall as a prospect, citing lack of college film evaluation and concern that his status as the owner's pick creates unfair pressure and perception issues; however, notes he will monitor training camp performance and acknowledges James Coe's positive evaluation of Randall as a potential waiver wire opportunity if Derek Henry slows or misses time.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper46:03

Adam Randall is worth monitoring as a waiver wire speed dial option given his role as a passing-downs back behind Derek Henry.

Insight page

Cedric Tillman

NegativeInjury64:26

Tillman has a long history of injury problems and cannot stay healthy; he may not even be on the Browns roster heading into the season. Despite showing some promise in the 2024 season and early last year before injuries, his durability concerns make him unreliable for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeProjection46:35

Brown is a core Bengals skill player whose fantasy outlook is unlikely to change based on training camp reports; the speaker will not alter rankings based on camp incidents, but would monitor for offensive scheme evolution that could elevate production across the Bengals skill group.

Insight page
NegativeValue49:29

Early adopter on Chase Brown two years ago; his price is now catching up to his profile and he likely no longer comes at massive value. He profiles as a guy who would benefit from a competent second running back in the backfield to reduce injury risk from massive workload.

Insight page
NegativeRole50:10

Smaller player carrying a massive workload with injury durability concerns; the massive workload could lead to a six-week absence. Comparison points: Devon Achane (sustained workload) versus Bucky Irving (injury-prone despite volume). A competent second running back would provide more comfort, but current backup Samaj AP Rene is not that option.

Insight page
PositiveProjection51:00

If Bengals trade for a running back like James Conner to provide a second option, Chase Brown's ADP would drop, which the speaker welcomes because it could improve his path to finishing as RB4 for the season.

Insight page
PositiveValue52:50

Kyle Shanahan is bullish on Chase Brown this year, believing the Bengals offense could take a step forward with Burrow healthy. While acknowledging that a trade for a feature back like James Conner could narrow his path to RB4 status, Shanahan prefers this scenario because it would push Brown's ADP down and make the safer path to RB13 more achievable. He wants to draft Brown later than current market expectations and is fascinated by the unsettled Bengals backfield situation.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

NegativeInjury8:40

Rodriguez is still doing side work in camp, recovering from foot surgery.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeDepth Chart0:41

McCaffrey's backup situation remains unclear due to Kyle Shanahan's typical opacity; third-round pick Kalen Black has gotten a leg up on the backup job with Isaac Garendo sidelined by shoulder surgery and Jordan James dealing with a fractured rib. Harris moved Black up into late-round territory in all formats and notes that if taking McCaffrey in the early first round, Black might be the handcuff to cover yourself with, though the Niners likely won't use a backup much unless McCaffrey gets hurt again.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

NegativeValue5:30

Deebo Samuel was brought back on a one-year deal for relatively short money, which Harris interprets as a sign that Pearsall is in serious trouble. However, Harris notes that Deebo looked utterly washed in Washington last year and couldn't currently get him much higher than Pearsall's reduced rank. Harris enters this process skeptical but admits his first impression could change if camp reports indicate he's back to being a crucial part of the offense.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveProjection67:28

Boston will likely be less fantasy viable in year one as he's deployed as an outside X receiver, but the source likes him long-term as more than just an X. He fits the profile of receivers like Michael Pittman and Cortland Sutton—big-bodied X receivers who can do more. Boston and Concepcion complement each other well, and the source ranks both inside the top 160 overall. If Judy is released, Boston could see a bump in opportunity, though the source is less certain about how high he'd climb given his likely role as a downfield route runner.

Insight page

DJ Turner

PositiveRole46:49

Turner is described as a really good cornerback for the Bengals defense, even though the Bengals defense overall isn't strong; he's a great player.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeUsage26:00

Reports suggest Metcalf will move around more in 2024 than last year, but the speaker expects only a modest increase in slot snaps (perhaps 15% to 17%), driven by fewer multiple tight-end sets rather than a major role shift. With Michael Pittman and Jeremy Bernard both capable of playing Z receiver, Metcalf's overall role and fantasy outlook are unlikely to change significantly from prior expectations.

Insight page

Elijah Sarratt

PositiveBreakout38:30

Surratt is a classic case of a player who doesn't separate on the perimeter in college but beats his own coverage and could move into the slot as a power slot player, similar to Amon Ross St. Brown. The speaker wrote about this on the website and did a full YouTube video breakdown. Surratt offers a skill set the Ravens' pass-catching group needs, and the speaker hopes to see reports about him moving inside and playing in the slot during training camp. In dynasty rookie drafts, the speaker prioritizes Surratt over Lane despite draft capital, viewing him as the better player.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeInjury55:25

Harold Fannin, drafted as a tight end one, is coming off groin surgery this offseason. Kyle Shanahan notes that monitoring health reports for both Fannin and Judkins is probably the most important thing for the Browns offense.

Insight page

Isaiah Bond

PositiveSleeper65:44

Bond was an undrafted free agent due to legal issues, but he was not an undrafted talent—he would have been a third-round to early fourth-round prospect in a normal draft. The Browns are talking him up as a potential third receiver or member of the receiving core. By season's end, he could emerge as the speed slot receiver in the offense, making noise despite his undrafted status.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveProjection33:30

Likely is ranked 14th among tight ends, one spot ahead of Mark Andrews. The speaker finds Likely more interesting than Andrews and notes that Likely was being discussed for a contract extension before suffering an injury last year, which may have been a sliding-doors moment that led the Ravens to give the money to Andrews instead.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeProjection47:01

Chase is a core Bengals skill player whose fantasy outlook is unlikely to change based on training camp reports; the speaker will not alter rankings based on camp incidents like his fight with DJ Turner, but would monitor for offensive scheme evolution that could elevate his production.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeRole20:36

Warren is a running back for the Steelers competing with Rico Dowdle for touches; Harris wants to know how much Dowdle might infringe on Warren's role but doesn't imagine that's something that can be learned from training camp. Early reports suggest they will split work and get first-team reps, which Harris notes is expected given they are different types of backs.

Insight page
NegativeRole21:08

Warren and Rico Dowdle are expected to split work and get first-team reps; both are different types of backs and both are interesting in hero RB formats as last-call running back options. The speaker expects Warren to catch Kenny Gainwell checkdowns, which is anticipated to happen anyway, making training camp unlikely to reveal much new information about the backfield split.

Insight page

Jerry Jeudy

NegativeBust64:50

The source has a long history of doubting Jerry Judy's ADP and being right every year. Despite the Browns calling him their 'bell cow receiver' (a term the source has never heard applied to a receiver), Judy could be a midseason trade candidate or even cut during training camp. His role is likely to be superseded by rookie receivers Boston and Concepcion, and the source views him as overvalued relative to his actual role and production potential.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

PositiveProjection47:29

If the Bengals introduce more under-center concepts and modern offensive schemes beyond their current Peyton Manning-style gun-heavy approach, Burrow and the offense could elevate from top-five to number-one ranked; the speaker is monitoring for signs of this evolution in training camp but won't alter rankings based on camp reports alone.

Insight page

Jordan James

NegativeInjury1:48

Second-year running back Jordan James fractured a rib early in camp and will miss between two weeks and a month, removing him from backup consideration behind Christian McCaffrey.

Insight page

Justice Hill

NegativeRole44:39

Justice Hill is the Ravens' number two back but is not the type of player who would become the starting back if Derek Henry misses time; instead, he functions as a passing-downs specialist and would remain in a backup role, with Adam Randall potentially emerging as the primary handcuff option.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveDepth Chart44:39

Keaton Mitchell was let go by the Ravens, leaving the backfield with only Justice Hill as a depth option behind 32-year-old Derek Henry, which creates opportunity for Adam Randall to emerge as a potential handcuff or waiver wire target.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeProjection32:00

Jackson is described as a settled player for the Ravens; some people may have removed him from their circle of trust after last year's performance, but the speaker sees no reason to change positioning on him outside of injury.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury7:07

Nabers had a second knee procedure done earlier than reported and avoided the PUP list to start camp, which Harris notes is the most positive of possible forking paths for him. However, beat reporters in New York cry wolf frequently, and Nabers is still off to the side doing individual work rather than full team practice. Harris has not moved him up in the ranks yet and will need to look at the list, do soul searching, and pay attention to camp reports over the next couple of weeks to determine his upward mobility.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeProjection33:30

Andrews is ranked 15th among tight ends by the speaker, one spot behind Isaiah Likely. He has saved himself with touchdowns in the past two years but looked slow last year, running in molasses. The speaker does not want him as a starting fantasy tight end and questions the Ravens' decision to keep him over Likely, especially given that Likely was being discussed for a contract extension before suffering an injury last year.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

PositiveProjection26:00

Pittman is described as a baller who takes significant punishment and is a contact magnet; he's transitioned well into an older player. In PPR leagues, he ranks 33rd among receivers; in standard, 37th. He offers safe, reliable production and is attractive in builds where early running backs were prioritized and receiver help is needed, though he has less upside than players like Luther Burden. The speaker notes Pittman's style of play fits well with Aaron Rodgers and he could lead the team in catches, though this is not a popular take.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveValue4:16

Pearsall's knee injury benefits Evans, who Harris hiked up in his ranks; Evans is now the most draftable receiver for Tampa Bay. Harris thought Evans looked slow last year but acknowledges he has possession work and end zone work that could support him, even if he's not making deep shots.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

PositiveRole40:50

Cooper is described as a very smart, heady, high-character football player from Indiana. The speaker has talked to him and noted that Cooper is the only player off-air to ask about his worst graded route and how to improve, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and football intelligence. This narrative scouting about Indiana players suggests they are serious, high-effort professionals.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveRole55:00

Kyle Shanahan is interested in Quinchon Judkins' potential role expansion on the Browns, specifically whether he will get more passing-down work. While noting that being an early-down back on a potentially bottom-five NFL team is not ideal, Shanahan finds himself intrigued by Judkins' prospects, particularly given Todd Monken's offensive coaching acumen and well-designed run game that could benefit Judkins.

Insight page
PositiveInjury55:00

Quinchon Judkins is coming off an injury but reports have been optimistic about his recovery. Kyle Shanahan expects his ADP to either stay where it is or potentially rise over the course of August as long as positive health reports continue.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

NegativeProjection35:10

Bateman is the nominal number two receiver for the Ravens but is in a precarious position. The speaker's therapist says he's not allowed to talk about Bateman anymore, indicating frustration with the player's performance. Bateman had a good 2024 season and was a meaningful contributor, but the speaker is not recommending him in redraft leagues. This is described as his last, last chance to cement a wide receiver two role, as rookies Jacoby Lane and Elijah Surratt have a chance to push him out of the wide receiver three gig.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

NegativeInjury3:16

2024 first-round pick and 2025 Harris Football flag player Pearsall's knee swelled up at the very beginning of training camp; beat reporters leaked that the team is very concerned about his future and he might need knee surgery. Harris has cratered Pearsall's rank to around 70 among wideouts, putting him outside the top 160, and says he will not draft him right now. The timing of the Debo Samuel signing reinforces concern about Pearsall's status.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeRole20:36

Dowdle is a running back for the Steelers competing with Jalen Warren for touches; early reports suggest they will split work and get first-team reps. Harris and Harmon both like Dowdle as a back and note that he and Warren are different types of backs, making them both interesting in different formats, though they are both last-call running back two options in hero RB formats.

Insight page
NegativeRole21:08

Dowdle is expected to split work with Jalen Warren and get first-team reps; he's a different type of back from Warren and both are interesting as last-call running back options in hero RB formats. Dowdle can catch Kenny Gainwell-type checkdowns, and if Caleb Johnson emerges, Dowdle would be the preferred waiver-wire backup due to his fit in a banger-back role.

Insight page

Shedeur Sanders

NegativeProjection67:27

The source expresses concern about the Browns quarterback situation, noting that even if Shedeur Sanders is the starter, the quarterback play is still not good. This limits the upside for Browns receivers despite their talent, as Sanders is expected to rely on quick designer plays and short passes rather than downfield throws.

Insight page

Tahj Brooks

NegativeDepth Chart51:00

Backup running back worth monitoring in training camp as potential second option behind Chase Brown. Matt Waldman has praised him as a player; however, he did not play much last year and did not force anyone's hand. Current status is a 'black box'—worth watching camp reports to see if he emerges as a factor or remains a non-factor.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeProjection46:35

Higgins is a core Bengals skill player whose fantasy outlook is unlikely to change based on training camp reports; the speaker will not alter rankings based on camp incidents, but would monitor for offensive scheme evolution that could elevate production across the Bengals skill group.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveProjection32:30

Flowers is described as underrated as a receiver overall and has become a little bit underrated. The new Ravens staff is excited to get him in the mix and views him as the leader in the receiver room. The speaker is very excited about Flowers' season and tends to be higher on him than many analysts.

0:00It's the Harris Football Podcast with your host, Christopher Harris.
0:03Welcome! Hey everybody, welcome in. My name is Chris and this is a show about bribery.
0:08You'll see what I mean in a little bit.
0:11Hello there. Thank you so much for listening today.
0:14This is it. The last day of July. We have finally arrived.
0:18Starting next week, we got five podcasts coming your way.
0:21Every week until the end of the year, just about.
0:24And also Monday is Almanac Day and I've been seeing the orders come in.
0:29I really appreciate that very much. If you order the Almanac today or over the weekend on Monday morning, you'll receive the PDF.
0:36The 2026 Harris Football Player Profile Almanac. It'll finally be out after three months of working on it.
0:42Do I have some stuff I have to do this weekend?
0:46You better believe it. We'll talk about that in just a minute.
0:50And of course, you don't have to pre-order the Almanac if you just want to get it on Monday or sometime thereafter.
0:57Also lovely, so happy and very lucky that you would even consider it.
1:01What do you get? You get 233 player profiles in about 300 or so PDF pages.
1:06You get a lot of snark. You get some really fun illustrations.
1:10It is. The art is great. Film grades out of me.
1:13Research projects out of me. Cousin Josh has little tidbits in there.
1:17You get dynasty ranks, super flex ranks, which I don't publish anywhere else.
1:22You can find out all you need to know about the Almanac at HarrisFootball.com.
1:26And what, you might ask, is such a big deal?
1:29What news are we dealing with that's requiring last-minute revisions to the Almanac and the various rankings therein?
1:35Basically, the 49ers are trying to injure me personally.
1:38It's all 49er stuff. I think you know this.
1:41So on the one hand, easier to deal with if we're hoping to be able to identify a handcuff for Christian McCaffrey.
1:48The first few days of Niners camp seem to have made that somewhat clearer, though we've said that before with Kyle Shanahan.
1:55We already knew that Isaac Garendo was not going to be doing much in camp with shoulder surgery and hasn't done much in the NFL anyway.
2:03He would be in a rush to make it back for camp at all.
2:08And then second-year runner Jordan James didn't do anything last year either, fractured a rib early in camp and will miss between two weeks and a month.
2:17And then the Niners worked out our old pal Khalil Herbert to maybe eventually be a camp body.
2:22But let's face it, that dream long since vanished, along with Herbert's ability to stay healthy on a football field.
2:29They've got guys like Patrick Taylor and Sincere McCormick kicking around camp.
2:33But the obvious dotted line to draw is that the surprise third-round pick, Kalen Black, gets a leg up on the backup's job.
2:40It is Shani Jr., of course, so we are not going to presume anything.
2:45The Niners are probably not going to give us good information about who is CMC's backup for 2026.
2:51Plus, they most likely won't even use a backup very much until and if McCaffrey gets hurt again.
2:56See also the bathtub on wheels, Brian Robinson, last season.
3:00But I did scooch Kalen Black up into late-round territory in all formats.
3:04And were I to take CMC in the early first round of a draft, Black might be the one that I would currently try and cover myself with.
3:13The other Niners issue seems to me more dire.
3:162024 first-round pick. 2025 Harris football flag player. Ricky Pearsall by now.
3:20You surely, or probably anyway, have heard that Pearsall's knee has swollen up at the very beginning of training camp.
3:26And you've already got beat reporters leaking that the team is very concerned.
3:30And they don't know what the future is. And Pearsall already might need knee surgery.
3:35And they talked about how, why didn't he have it at the end of the season?
3:40Because if he had, it would have wiped him out for this entire season anyway.
3:45This all seems very, very bad. What do we always say about training camp?
3:49The stuff we most pay attention to is the negative stuff that a team can't help from leaking out.
3:56I would say this certainly counts. Nobody has leaked that Pearsall is definitely on his way to the surgeon's table.
4:02But if I'm drafting this weekend, which obviously please don't do that.
4:06Please do not draft this weekend. Then I'm not taking Ricky Pearsall.
4:10I'll tell you that for free. The ranks are already updated at HarrisFootball.com.
4:14And they have Pearsall cratering to around 70 among wideouts.
4:17That puts him outside the top 160. Just not going to draft him right now.
4:22I sure got to rewrite his almanac profile. This benefits Mike Evans.
4:26I hiked Evans a bit. I think I'm probably still not going to get him very much in drafts personally.
4:32Because as Cousin Josh told us over the spring, Evans is going a lot higher than I had him ranked before.
4:39And I assume he's only going up with this news.
4:42I thought Evans looked slow last year. But we certainly understand.
4:46He is the most draftable receiver there is there right now.
4:49There's at least a bunch of, you know, possession work.
4:53Even if he's not making a bunch of deep shots.
4:56And end zone work he's really good at that could support him.
5:00The other rookie who draft experts hated, Dijon Stribling.
5:03He's higher in my ranks. Not that high. He's obviously an absolute cipher.
5:07Nobody knows if he can play. But he is a second round shaped hole in the depth chart.
5:13And when the main guy is getting hurt, you know, you'll take a life preserver.
5:17Stribling is up into late round draftable territory to me.
5:21But like I assume someone's going to be like, take him in the ninth round.
5:26And I'm probably not going to take him in the ninth round.
5:29But I did increase his rank. And then yesterday the Niners announced they had brought home this guy.
5:35If you like Coconut Debonis. And this shit out lots of pain.
5:39Coconut Deboni. Debo Samuel himself brought back on a one year deal for relatively short money.
5:44I mean, doesn't that, you know, we're dot connecting.
5:47But it makes it feel like Ricky Pearsall is in that much more trouble.
5:52Unfortunately, to me, the problem is that Debo Samuel looked utterly washed in Washington last year.
5:57It looked like he ate a normal size Debo Samuel.
6:00I couldn't currently get him very much higher than I have Pearsall at his reduced rank.
6:05I'll also admit, though, that's my first impression. And if, I mean, if I could go back and re-record the segment from
6:12a few weeks ago when we talked about what we're going to pay attention to in Niners camp, of course, I would add Debo Samuel to that.
6:21If the everyday noise is that he's back to being a crucial part of the offense and watch out and yada yada,
6:28I'm going to have no choice but to raise him some, though I have to admit I enter this process pretty skeptical.
6:35Have there been non-49er stories worth paying attention to?
6:38No. Nope. It's only going to be Niners this spring.
6:41That's not true. Of course, there have been. Jameer Gibbs has been holding in, seeking out a new contract in Lions camp,
6:48which would probably have the don't take Jameer Gibbs number one overall people foaming at the mouth, except the guy that they
6:55would like to replace Gibbs with, Bajon Robinson, also holding in for a new contract.
7:00I will certainly assume right now those guys will get their new deals very soon.
7:05I'm not panicking on either of those dudes on July 31st.
7:09Malik Neighbors, you'll never believe it, but the New York media is making a big deal over something.
7:14Now people are interviewing Neighbors and, you know, acting very optimistic.
7:18You know, you got it all wrong. Neighbors, he did have a second knee procedure, but it was done with pillows.
7:25And it was so much earlier than you said.
7:28Look at him. He's already running routes. You know, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.
7:33The problem is that the beat reporters in New York cry wolf a lot, and it's just tough to really believe any of it.
7:41Neighbors, as far as I know, this morning as I'm recording this, isn't yet doing full team practice stuff.
7:47He's still off to the side, but let's admit he did avoid the PUP list to start camp.
7:53So of all the possible forking paths for Malik Neighbors, he's avoided the most dire, no question about it.
7:59I have not moved him up in the ranks yet.
8:03I don't know exactly how high he can get for me.
8:06It's going to take some looking at the list and soul searching and paying attention to what they say about him over the next couple of weeks.
8:15But there's certainly, of course, some upward mobility in his rank.
8:18What else? I'm not going to talk about every single beat report.
8:22You know, many, many things have been talked about.
8:25Romo Dunze, I don't know if you heard, but his foot was mangled.
8:29It was permanently destroyed. The one thing every single person would say about Romo Dunze for six months was that his foot
8:36healed weird and simply was never going to be the same again.
8:40He sauntered into camp this week and said, yeah, it feels good.
8:44I'm fine. Everything's going to be good. Which is, you know what?
8:48That's why I'm glad you listened to this show.
8:51Chris Rodriguez still doing side work so far, recovering from foot surgery.
8:55Okay. Jalen Knoll, were we excited about drafting him?
8:58Not really. Hurt a finger and is out for a couple of weeks.
9:02I took him out of my top 80 receivers.
9:05That's just randomly said. There's so much stuff. So many things to track.
9:09Again, the whole point of July is to try to find the stuff we're not going to take the bait on.
9:16We're going to talk about more of that today.
9:19I will update whatever needs to be updated in the Almanac in time for Monday.
9:23Another thing. Yes, indeed. My novel. Pound Foolish. I wrote two things that I'm trying to sell you.
9:29I'm really sorry about that. I mean, it was inevitable, I guess.
9:33I've said this before. They both mean a lot to me.
9:37But if you were asking me which is more important to my soul, I mean, I like the Almanac.
9:43It's great. I try really hard on it. But it's a three-month sprint about this particular football season.
9:49And then you compare that to the book, the novel, which I started, I believe, was it the winter 2023?
9:55So like almost three years of work on and like, it's kind of try to pour all my feelings about football and life into.
10:03Yeah. I mean, the novel's probably going to win which one is more important to me, even though I know the novel
10:10likely isn't going to help you win a fantasy league this year.
10:14But anyway, the difference between 2026 and Pound Foolish and 2018 and Tulsa is that this time, insert massive gulp here, I
10:21am publishing the book myself under the publishing company dedicated to you, the audience, the odd possums.
10:26I called it Cumulative Press. It's a hard word for Harris to say.
10:30It definitely is. And I have to admit, I don't really know what I'm doing.
10:35And I'm certainly freaking out over little publishing related things every single day, including when oh when is the stupid thing going to be available for pre-order?
10:44You can actually pre-order it right now. I think at barnesandnoble.com you can get the paperback.
10:49I think bookshop.org you can get the e-book and the audio book maybe.
10:53Maybe just the e-book. I don't know. It's supposed to be in way more places soon enough.
10:59You will be able to pre-order the paperback, the e-book, and the audio book, which I recorded with my own delicate little voice.
11:06I'm not asking you to pre-order it right now.
11:09What I'm asking you today is, so the book will release on September 1, basically a month from now.
11:15And it turns out that if I can convince enough people to pre-order a copy before September 1, but not on Amazon,
11:22anywhere else, just not on Amazon, all those pre-orders count toward various bestseller lists.
11:27And it would be pretty freaking hilarious for me to make a bestseller list under cumulative press.
11:32How much would you pay to see that? Just how insane?
11:36How stupid would that be? So this actually is my ask for you today.
11:40Tell me how you want to be bribed. I'm going to hold random drawings like every day in August.
11:47So everyone who pre-orders, you will take a screen cap and you will email and you'll let me know.
11:53And that will enter you into, like, let's just assume daily drawings.
11:57Everyone who pre-orders will get entered into every daily drawing.
12:00So every day on the show, I'll do a random draw of everyone who's pre-ordered Pound Foolish, and you'll get something.
12:06You can pre-order now if you want, if you can find it.
12:10Oh, God, it's killing me. But what I'm actually asking you today is for ideas.
12:15What are some, like, manageable things that you would like to be bribed with that you think might lure in other people?
12:22Oh, sure, I'll buy his stupid book if there's a chance I could do blah.
12:27You know, little things, Zoom sessions. It could be, like, I don't know, a cameo to the league loser in your league
12:34if you think that would be fun. Or pre-draft advice or look at my team or, I don't know, thing outside the box.
12:42I have to sing something to you. You know, I'm open to all your ideas, basically.
12:47I'll probably start promoting this in earnest on the show next week, but send me your ideas.
12:52HeyHarris at HarrisFootball.com. And finally, I am going on a mini tour at the end of August.
12:58Whew! It'll be four cities in four days. And the days, the dates, will be.
13:03Sunday, August 23rd, I will be in Tacoma, Washington.
13:05Monday, August 24th, Portland, Oregon. Tuesday, August 25th, Las Vegas, Nevada.
13:09And Wednesday, August 26th, Scottsdale, Arizona. And then, for those of you in Los Angeles, I haven't worked out that one yet,
13:16but it should be the next day or two after that.
13:20The venues themselves have been, like, reserved or owned by your fellow yacht possums.
13:24It should be really fun. Everything's in a bar.
13:27So there's going to be beer if you want it.
13:30And I'll do a reading for, like, you know, 20 minutes, 25 minutes.
13:34I'll read something from Pound Foolish. And then it'll just be a regular listener meetup, which I love because I will meet
13:42every single person who comes and we'll talk. I promise.
13:45It always happens that way. We shake hands. Take pictures if you want.
13:49Sign stuff if you want. Whatever. Sign stuff. Who the hell am I?
13:53Just talk. It's fun. We could talk about your fantasy draft that just happened.
13:58Whatever you want. I really get... I like getting to hang out with all of you.
14:03It's awesome. I love y'all. So if you're in one of those places and you're going to be around one of those
14:10days, I think they'll all get started around 7 p.m.
14:13I'll publicize the specific places where they're going to be in plenty of time.
14:18We've got, like, graphic getting prepared right now. But just mark your calendar for those dates because it should be fun.
14:24Today's kickoff. Okay. On today's show, that was a lot of stuff.
14:28And we got lots more stuff coming your way.

16:05Today's guest. Wide receivers, they got to be approved by you to ride with me.
16:10Oh, don't you know now is the perfect time to tell us which team you're alive.
16:15I'm gonna put to it now for tomorrow's today.
16:18Or today's tomorrow. I want to know. It is the boy, young boy.
16:22It is Matt Harmon. You can find him all over whatever social media platform you prefer.
16:28Just search for Matt Harmon. You can hear him as the anchor of the Yahoo fantasy forecast.
16:33Going, as is my show, five days a week as of next week.
16:37So there you go. There's your back-to-back listen each day.
16:40And of course, we always want to direct you to receptionperception.com.
16:44An unbelievable resource for evaluating receivers. Matt tells me that new profiles will be dropping every week during August, during the busiest fantasy time of the year.
16:53What a pleasure. Thank you, Matt Harmon. How are you?
16:56Hey, Chris. I appreciate it, man. Yeah, it's that time of year.
17:00It just comes earlier every year. It's August, man.
17:03We are getting inundated with a bunch of stuff we probably shouldn't care about.
17:07And yet, it's a good time to be alive.
17:10So I'm very happy to break it down with you today, man.
17:14Yeah, stuff that we're going to largely probably identify as nonsense and not pay attention to.
17:19But the things we will pay attention to can matter.
17:22Yes, indeed. We got Almanac Day on Monday. We got receptionperception profiles just flying out of our tuchuses.
17:28We got the stupid book. You have been a recipient of the novel.
17:32You've got it in your hot little hands. Well, you really sold it with the stupid book.
17:38I mean, when you said, Matt, I'd love to send you a copy of the stupid book.
17:43I was like, sign me up. No, yeah. I do have it.
17:47I think I told you before we got going that I just finished another boring book.
17:52No, so now I will be reading your stupid book as we go into the new month.
17:58No, yeah. So I appreciate it, Chris. I actually am very excited to dive into it.
18:03Did you get one with – this is Pound Foolish we're talking about.
18:07Did you get the pre-cover? It's just like a blue cover?
18:11No, it's got – I think – Oh, you got the real cover.
18:15It's literally sitting in my office right now. I could get up and walk over and look at it.
18:21I can stand up. You can hear me standing up and I can see it from here.
18:27No, I mean it's – Got the regular cover.
18:29It's blue, but yeah, it's got the regular cover, I think.
18:33Yeah, depending on when I send it out to friends and family and media moles and stuff, some people got like a
18:40pre-cover before the cover was designed and then some people got – you got the actual one.
18:46Do I fit into friends or media moles or somewhere in between?
18:49Both. I think you're both, aren't you? I think I might be both.
18:54We've known each other for like 15 years, but also you are a media member.
18:58You are a big guy, big time dude. Well, anyway, let's talk about the AFC North and what we will and won't pay attention to in training camp.
19:07Yep, I – these eight shows, this is the eighth one, the order in which I bring up the teams in each
19:15division is the order they finished the previous season.
19:17And so let's talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers who have been memory wiped as champions of the AFC North.
19:24It just doesn't even seem real that that happened last year.
19:27And yet, like it's easy to make fun of the Steelers and it's really because of who the quarterback is.
19:34They have a pretty high floor as long Aaron Rodgers.
19:37Like there's probably not a way for this offense to finish bottom five if Aaron Rodgers stays healthy.
19:43Do you agree with that? I think so and especially because while I'm very – I mean I'm not enthused by what
19:50we watched out of Rodgers last year and nor do I expect there to be much change in what he can offer.
19:57I mean just he's so hyper-specific now at this point.
20:00I do think it's a high floor team because like McCarthy is kind of a high floor play caller.
20:06Even if you're not – again, not enthused about the ceiling, he's a high floor play caller.
20:12I think the offensive line is settled enough that it's a high floor.
20:16It gives them a floor. And then like their top two receivers are guys we know and I don't think are in danger of falling off.
20:24So yeah, like the way you frame it that way, maybe – I guess maybe the high floor is not the way
20:31to say it, but a projectable floor for this team is certainly in play.
20:36Yeah, if you consider the floor the worst case, it's probably an okay worst case.
20:41That might be wrong. We're terrible at predicting this stuff beforehand.
20:44If Rodgers has become further dilapidated from even what he was last year, then I'm wrong in this assertion.
20:50But either way, I mean, you know, like even the running backs, they're good professional running backs.
20:56Like there's lots of good professional players on that offense who – all of whom will be constrained probably by Aaron Rodgers
21:03never wanting to get touched probably in his personal life, but definitely on his professional life.
21:08And so I just go, yeah. I mean, I would love to know how much Rico Dowdle might infringe on Jalen Warren.
21:15If somebody from the Steelers coaching staff is listening and wants to just send me a DM and tell me, that'd be fantastic.
21:22I just don't imagine that's something we can learn from training camp.
21:26No, I think the headline I've already seen from these two guys is like they split work, you know, getting first team reps.
21:34I'm like, well, of course they will. I mean, they're pretty different types of backs too.
21:39Like – and I like both backs as well.
21:42It's almost in a way unfortunate when I've found myself drafting that it's a – it's like kind of, well, this guy is interesting in this format.
21:51This guy is interesting. They kind of are both the last call at running back two if I'm in a hero RB.
21:58I've kind of punted on the second running back spot.
22:01I tend to look at these Steelers backs, but I'm not too sure that there's anything we're going to learn about these
22:08guys over the next few weeks because I think they both – like unless someone's going to be reporting Jalen Warren is
22:15catching all the Kenny Gainwell checkdowns, you know, which I kind of think is going to happen anyway.
22:21So it's just – there's not a lot to learn with these two guys.
22:25Yeah, because I'm trying to put myself in the position of myself in two weeks and I hear that and I go,
22:32okay, that's kind of what I assumed would happen anyway.
22:36And also I don't believe the Steelers are making that known.
22:39I just don't – you know, that's not what they're in the business of doing.
22:44They're going to unveil – we didn't know that Kenny Gainwell was going to get that many receptions in the third week of August last year.
22:52That wasn't something they were publicizing. And like in the end, it was absolutely a function of cowardice from the quarterback.
22:59It was a function of him on third and 11 throwing negative two-yard passes because he didn't want to get hit.
23:06And so I don't imagine that went away, but because that's not a challenging thing to catch, Rico Dowdle can catch those.
23:13I've seen it. So the bottom line is I just don't think there's – I guess, you know, would it be believable
23:20to you if at some point beat reporters in Pittsburgh start saying, Caleb Johnson is no longer completely forgotten.
23:26I can see a world where he gets in the mix as a third body or gets a chance as the season gets going.
23:34Or is that – would any of that ever be believable to the detriment of Warren or Dowdle?
23:40No, I would find that pretty hard to believe.
23:43I would have to see that like Rico Dowdle is in danger of not making the roster or something like that.
23:49You know, like a reporter like that to really believe that Caleb Johnson can really make a dent here.
23:56You know, now at this point it's a previous staff pick even if that was the staff that iced him out.
24:02I don't know that I would believe like almost any Caleb Johnson buzz over the next few weeks.
24:08Yeah, which isn't to say that second-year players don't sometimes simply figure it out.
24:13It's just we're trying to give draft advice in fantasy leagues.
24:16And just because something's possible doesn't mean you should draft based on it.
24:20Yeah, I think it would be like, okay, maybe – I guess the actionable takeaway from hearing anything interesting about Caleb Johnson
24:28would be, okay, maybe we'll talk about him as a waiver wire speed dial guy if something happens to one of these two players.
24:35Specifically Dowdle because I think he would fit better in that type of banger back role.
24:40Yeah, and like they – if they really – if this new administration really believed in Caleb Johnson, they don't give Dowdle pretty good.
24:48Yeah, exactly. So like we're – you know, again, like so many of these July shows boil down to myself and you
24:55and all the guests talking about like the way we like to play fantasy.
25:00The way we think is the best approach to fantasy.
25:03And it isn't – when we say we're not going to believe anything good said about Caleb Johnson for an entire month,
25:10that doesn't mean we're saying Caleb Johnson is doomed and can never be good at football.
25:15It's that it was so bad last year that we have to see him in games that count before we're – and
25:22do something good and not fumble on kickoffs and stuff, you know, before we're willing to – Correct.
25:28You know, this is not the way you play smart fantasy.
25:32Anyway, and I would say similarly, Michael Pittman is, of course, an upgrade on all, you know, freaking Calvin Austin and Roman
25:39Wilson and Ben Skoranek and all these guys are getting shoved down our throats.
25:43As potential second receivers, of course it matters how Pittman's going to work in to DK Metcalf and they're both, you know, kind of – they're good.
25:52They're professional receivers. Again, you know, your opinion, one's opinion of those receivers is what it is.
25:57It just – you probably shouldn't take a news item from August and dramatically change what your opinion already was.
26:04No. No. And I would say just to use that as like something we've already heard as an example is – well,
26:11DK Metcalf is going to move around more this year than he did last year.
26:16And, you know, we've heard something similar in Carolina about Tedrow and McMillan, you know, and for both those guys, they pretty
26:23much only lined up at X receiver last year.
26:26So it's kind of like it's hard for them to move around any less.
26:30Like them going from – this type of player going from 15% to 17%, you know, snaps in the slot.
26:37That is more. Like on a percentage basis, that is more.
26:40But I look at the room and like Michael Pittman's a perfect big like bodied Z receiver who can kick inside.
26:47And Jeremy Bernard is kind of a perfect bodied Z receiver who can kick inside.
26:52So my guess is that we actually don't – we maybe see – again, maybe see Metcalf take a few more percentage
26:59of his snaps in the slot simply because they're not running as much multiple tight end sets, which is what I would expect.
27:06You know, just based on the history of the two coaches we're talking about here, Arthur Smith and Mike McCarthy.
27:13But that's also not going to get me to really change my opinion about these Steelers wide receivers.
27:19God, yeah, there's not a lot to really say here about the Steelers and like what you're looking for other than, you
27:26know, I am interested from like maybe even just a dynasty.
27:29From a dynasty perspective, like can Jeremy Bernard get an instant role on this team?
27:34I think he should. I like him as like a high floor glue guy type of prospect.
27:40Again, we're talking about another high floor thing here with the Steelers.
27:43But yeah, he's got to earn that in training camp and everything like that.
27:48Yeah, so that's worth paying attention to. It's for the purposes of like long-term planning and what happens when and if Metcalf or Pittman gets hurt.
27:56I mean, Michael Pittman is – he's a baller.
27:59That dude takes so much punishment. I love Pittman.
28:02Yeah, he's a really good player. I think he's transitioned into an older player like really well and has, you know, become
28:09like a – I mean, he's a contact magnet.
28:12This dude gets the crap beaten out of him.
28:15At some point that can, you know, like again, a good camp from Bernard can get him on that same speed dial
28:22that you talked about where you go, all right, well, if Pittman's out of the way, I really don't imagine DK Metcalf
28:29suddenly developing as a technician in the zero to five yard area.
28:33And so maybe Bernard becomes the dude with a Pittman injury and we could learn that maybe in camp.
28:39Yeah, totally. And I think that would make sense.
28:42It's just like Jeremy Bernard is kind of a Michael Pittman-ish player, at least from a deployment perspective.
28:48But yeah, I do like Pittman in this offense.
28:51I think there's a chance – honestly, I think now it's not even popular to say.
28:56But when he first arrived, I was like, oh, he could lead this team in catches this year because his style of
29:03play fits so well with Aaron Rodgers. But that's not something that we're going to learn much in camp either.
29:10But yeah, I'm certainly – from a long-term perspective and waiver wire speed dial perspective, if you need receiver help during the
29:17season, I'm looking at what Jeremy Bernard does in camp and what kind of role he can earn.
29:22Yeah, I mean, in – I just updated some ranks, but the Steeler guys didn't move in the ranks.
29:29But just like some – based on stuff that I talked about earlier in the show, in a standard league, I have Metcalf 35 among receivers.
29:37I have Pittman 37. In a PPR, I have Pittman 33, Metcalf 38.
29:41So are we excited? Do we draw massive distinction between the two of them?
29:46Do we draw massive distinction between the guys who are 10 spots ahead of them and 10 spots behind them?
29:52It's all kind of very same-seeming in that – but I can see a circumstance where, Pittman can be maybe more attractive
29:59than a Luther Burden, say, who has a lot of upside, probably way more upside than Pittman does, but also could kind
30:06of flop unexpectedly and you could get a lot more safe production out of Pittman.
30:11Like, at some point, our opinion on those Steelers receivers probably isn't going to change.
30:16It may just come down to what you feel like your team needs as you're drafting.
30:21Yeah, I think that makes a lot of sense.
30:24Yeah, in builds where I've gone early running backs and in like a managed league and you kind of just need some
30:31production at receiver, I've found my way to Pittman, and I think that's kind of just what he is this year.
30:38We are sponsored today by Leesa, the mattress I sleep on.
30:41I watch football film on it. I really love my mattress.
30:45Here's an email from listener Scott K., parts unknown, but a coastal elite.
30:49Hey, Harris, I've heard you talk about Lisa before when you said you may not need it right now, but keep it in mind.
30:57I scoffed at that statement. My bed was fine.
31:00Well, suddenly it wasn't fine. My back was screaming when I woke up and my muscles were tight.
31:06My wife was having the same problems. We finally caved.
31:09It was time to get a great new mattress.
31:12You can guess how the rest of that email goes.
31:15Scott got a Lisa mattress. Those mattresses, they are really great.
31:18You can take a mattress quiz at the Lisa website, figure out which one is best for you.
31:24If, like Scott, you're waking up stiff and sore, check Lisa out.
31:28American made mattresses, a really charitable company. I personally love the product and it is their early access Labor Day sale, 25%
31:35off select mattresses at L E E S A dot com.
31:39And if you use the code Harris, that's another $50 off the top as well.

31:49And for an extra $50 off, use that code Harris.
31:52We are back with Matt and we are talking about training camps for the teams of the AFC North.
31:58We've moved on to the team that I was pretty sure had won the division, but didn't and miss the playoffs.
32:05The Baltimore Ravens. They are also very, very settled in what they have.
32:09You know, it's fair that people rank Derek Henry differently from each other.
32:14Lamar Jackson. Maybe some people have he's he's left their circle of trust after last year.
32:19Zay Flowers fair. I'm I tend to be higher on Zay Flowers and a lot of people do, but I just don't know how.
32:26I'll let me pose it as a question rather than just say it as a statement.
32:32Other than somebody getting hurt. I don't really see a way for me to change my position on those guys.
32:38No, me either. I think they're pretty locked in.
32:41I like Zay a lot this year. I think he's become a little bit underrated as a receiver overall.
32:47I like that they've talked about how, you know, the new staff is really excited to get him in the mix.
32:54They're really excited about him as almost like a kind of the leader in that room at this point, which makes a lot of sense.
33:02So, yeah, I'm very excited about Zay's season this year.
33:05And Mark Andrews is just, well, I guess he's still there, you know, and kind of roll him out.
33:11But I still find it a little surprising how that contract went down.
33:15But I don't know that there's anything for those two specifically people beyond them.
33:20I'm interested in tracking. I'm curious your thoughts on that.
33:23But, you know, for those two guys, I think they're pretty settled.
33:27Well, we're talking rookies beyond that. So I'm going to ping pong it right back to you and ask your opinion of them.
33:34But let me just take a second and let's put, because we did when we talked about Isaiah Likely with Jake when
33:42we did the Giants training camp preview. Obviously, we weren't talking about what was left behind with the Ravens.
33:48But we did refer to the bizarreness of how this all worked out.
33:52I guess let's pull that apart. I mean, I have Andrews as someone I don't want as a starting fantasy tight end.
33:59I have him 15. I have Likely one spot ahead of him.
34:03Like it's been two years in a row where, you know, two years ago he just saved himself with touchdowns.
34:09And then last year, I mean, he looked like he was running in molasses.
34:14He looked slow to me. And I thought for sure he was the one who'd be jettisoned and they'd build around Likely.
34:21The fact that they didn't is like we assume rational coaching.
34:24Was that rational coaching? Rational GMing? And you have to remember, too, that in training camp last year, they were talking about giving Likely the contract extension.
34:33But then he suffered an injury. And I just wonder if that, like, is a bit of a – when we look
34:40back at league history, and this is one of the most important, you know, talking points.
34:45I wonder if that ends up being, like, a bit of a sliding doors moment where, you know, maybe Likely was going to get that extension.
34:54And then something went wrong there, and it just felt like they gave the money to Andrews.
34:59Yeah, I don't know that that is what I would have done.
35:03Let's put it that way. But I do think Mark Andrews, if you're – again, last call, I don't really want him
35:10as a starting fantasy tight end either. But I think I'm kind of where you are from a rankings perspective.
35:17Likely – obviously, we're not talking Giants, but Likely is more interesting to me over there as opposed to Andrews back here.
35:24And, you know, I also just think, like, there's not a guy – the thing is, you know, I'm not going to
35:31do the who else are they going to throw to because there can always be someone else.
35:36And I actually do find a couple of the rookie receivers intriguing, you know, and we'll talk about – well, we don't have to talk about Rashad Bateman.
35:45My therapist says I'm not allowed to talk about Rashad Bateman anymore.
35:49But he is still the nominal number two receiver.
35:52But, yeah, no, like, who else are they going to play at tight end, like truly take snaps?
35:58There's not really, like, an obvious answer there. Right.
36:01And unfortunately for Mark Andrews, that's been kind of true for much of the last two years.
36:06And still, he just can't either get open or get on the same page.
36:11I mean, that film from last year is absolutely rough.
36:14Let's talk about the two rookies. Mid-round type guys, not super hyped.
36:18But as recent NFL history has taught us, sometimes the draft gurus in these NFL teams just get it wrong because it's
36:25really tough to know beforehand whose game translates. We got plenty of pukas.
36:29We got plenty of people who get taken in the middle.
36:33And then we got plenty of freaking Jalen Polks, Nikhil Harries.
36:36Can you guess which team I root for? Who get taken earlier?
36:40Yeah. And stink. It's Jacoby Lane and it's Elijah Surratt.
36:43Absolutely. I don't know anything about them other than their names.
36:47So please, you know, feel free. Just kind of like give us an overview.
36:51Okay. So for Jacoby Lane, very much like a sacrificial X receiver, I think if he hits in the league, you know,
36:58kind of Marquez Valdez Scantling, but with better hands to me.
37:02And obviously, I know that's like damning with faint praise, but he's not a separator whatsoever.
37:07But he does really attack the football in the air.
37:10And just like he makes some insane catches, like truly, you know, like I'd be charting him and everything.
37:17His quarterback throws it up to him at USC.
37:19I'm like, there's no way. I mean, he's not even not open even a little bit.
37:25There's no way he's coming down with and he would make fantastic, fantastic catches.
37:29So, again, not a prospect. I was super high on because I don't think he has that separation ability, like especially if
37:36we're talking about fantasy for him to be a high volume player.
37:40But I think there's a path for him to being a role player as a sacrificial X receiver, which as an unabashed,
37:47you know, someone that's going to hold the candle for Rashad Bateman until he retires.
37:52I'd actually love to see Bateman use less at X because I don't think that suits his skill set.
37:58And then you kind of have if Lane emerges, I think that's the path forward is that like, you know, Bateman moves off ball a little bit.
38:07Flowers continues to be the number one by a long shot in the offense.
38:11I think that makes sense. Surratt, I am interested in Surratt from like a fantasy standpoint because I think he is one of these classic cases.
38:20And I wrote about this on the website in addition to doing a full YouTube video breakdown on this.
38:26He's one of these guys that doesn't separate on the perimeter in college, but beats his own coverage and probably looks like
38:33he could be someone that moves into the slot and is like a power slot player.
38:38Very similar to like an Amon Ross St. Brown type to go from the boundary at USC, you know, and has the body type to kick inside.
38:47And I think in this offense, what I'm imagining it to look like with Declan Doyle, I think there's a room for a player like that.
38:55So I really hope that we are seeing reports about Surratt moving inside and playing in the slot and training camp and getting some momentum there.
39:04Because I think he offers a skill set that this pass catching group, honestly, as much as I like Flowers and as
39:11much as I have been a Bateman fan in the past, he didn't play well last year, obviously.
39:16I do think that there's like there is room for a power slot type player here.
39:22So I am admittedly one of these people in like a dynasty rookie drafts this offseason.
39:27Like, I don't care about draft capital. I think Surratt's a better player.
39:31Okay. Well, yeah, I mean, and let's face it, draft capital one round.
39:35Who cares? Yeah, who cares? Interesting. I'm going to keep an eye on that, too.
39:40I've added both Lane and Surratt to the list of things to pay attention to that we're assembling as we go along.
39:47The buzz around rookies is always tough to parse because, you know, if the coaches, at minimum you want coaches saying, I like them.
39:55They seem to be able to play football well.
39:58And if you don't hear that, forget it. It's over.
40:01Not good. Yeah. Right. Even if they say that about a rookie or two, a lot of it is like what position,
40:08you know, what string do they play with? You know, they play controlled scrimmage against whoever, you know, and Surratt is running with the ones, so to speak.
40:17And Lane is running with the two, so to speak.
40:20Is there a chance, do you imagine, that the Bateman thing just winds up cutting bait because, so to speak, because I
40:27am, you know, I'm, there was a time where I believed.
40:31It's been a few years. I know you've been kind of a longer holdout.
40:35But I think it's going to be a lot of time.
40:39But there's not a lot of time. But there's not a lot in this room, man.
40:44I think it's going to be a lot of time.
40:47But at the same time, I think Lane and Surratt have a chance to push him out of that wide receiver three gig.
40:55So, yeah, I think this is like truly, and they've given him, they've given Bateman a lot of chances.
41:01And obviously, so have I. I think this is truly, truly like his last, last chance to.
41:06And look, I mean, he was a good and really good on film and meaningful contributor for the team in 2024.
41:13So, I mean, Will, do I admit to you that, you know, for $1 and a salary cap draft, I have put
41:20Rashad Bateman on like a 14 team start three flex insane goofball roster.
41:24Abso-frickin-lutely. Am I telling people to draft Rashad Bateman on my redraft, on your redraft fantasy teams?
41:30I am not. But I do think this is truly like his last chance to kind of cement their wide receiver two role.
41:37When you do that in your own teams, it's hashtag on brand.
41:41So, it's okay you're allowed to. Yeah. You do that almost for the bit.
41:46Right. Can I say that when it comes to Surratt and Omar Cooper and Kalen Black and you know where I'm going with this.
41:53Yeah. That I, there's this little piece of me that goes, maybe it's like silly, you know, 1960s style analysis.
42:00But there's like a winning quotient from Indiana where I go, God, they shouldn't have been as good as they were.
42:07And they were so good. And it was such a story that maybe it becomes the Hoosier diaspora.
42:12And I should pay a little extra attention to those guys just because I love the story so much.
42:19Well, number one, you do whatever you want with your own life.
42:22Number two, listen, I talked to Omar before the draft and like he's and I've heard the same about Surratt.
42:29These are just like two foot like these guys are hashtag football players.
42:33OK, like they're they're really high effort, high character.
42:36Omar Cooper, just since you brought him up, I'll tell the story on the show.
42:41He is I've been doing this now since 2014 and obviously much more in the latter part of my career.
42:47Talked to a ton, a ton of players about reception perception.
42:51Cooper is the only player off air after the conversation ended to ask me like, OK, what's my worst graded route?
42:58And like, how can I get better? And we had a whole conversation about that after the show was over.
43:04So just to speak to your point, if you want to go down narrative scouting about these Indiana players, they really are
43:11just like very smart, heady, high character football players.
43:14And I do think Surratt, like as somebody who I imagine to bring it back to like an actual football take here
43:21as opposed to the metaphysical part of this. I do think in order to make the positional transition that he is, it's
43:28like a outside, you know, contested catch back shoulder receiver to being more of that power slot option.
43:34Yeah, it's a lot to put on a player and you're going to need to like the high character to have the football character to do that.
43:43The only other thing to talk about with the Ravens is the backfield.
43:47And, you know, I'm just very skeptical of Adam Randall.
43:50You know, I don't know. I don't, I didn't see any Clemson football.
43:54I don't watch college football. I don't scout him beforehand.
43:58But what everybody says has me right down to the him being the owner's pick.
44:02I'm like, oh my God. Yeah. Like if that's, if that's true or not true, there's no reason why that should have
44:09been made public because that's going to stick with Adam Randall forever.
44:13100% true. It was 100% true. And it's just funny.
44:17Like I, I would, I would have loved, it's like, okay, fine.
44:20It's his team. He's the owner. I would have loved for it to just been like a, like less, like more of a boring position.
44:28You know, like give me a, give me a linebacker.
44:32Give me a, give me a safety. Not that those are boring positions are important to a football team, but you know, running back.
44:39It's an easy one to scout. Steve Bishotti. Come on, let's get in there.
44:44Let's get in the lab here. I mean, it's great that it's true.
44:48You don't make that public. It puts way too much pressure on the kid.
44:53He may seem like a Nepo baby. It is absolutely not something that should, I should know as an idiot when it comes to call.
45:01I'm an idiot, Matt. I'm, I'm a fool. I don't know anything.
45:05And this is the one thing I know about Adam Randall before I start reading what you and other people wrote about him.
45:12I mean, we have to admit letting Keaton Mitchell go and only having Justice Hill there behind a 32 year old Derek Henry.
45:19Like, you know, I guess there's a, you know, we're bringing this back to what we can learn in training camp.
45:26And I guess we could potentially learn that Randall is like pleasantly surprising the beat reporters there, I guess.
45:32Oh, yeah. Listen, I'm, I'm definitely making, making a note to pay attention to Adam Randall because if, you know, pigs start
45:39to fly, you know, the sun sets in the east and rises in the west.
45:44And Derek Henry begins to slow down, you know, Adam Randall would be a name to know or Derek Henry misses time.
45:51Adam Randall would be a name to know. And I don't really have a strong take on Adam Randall.
45:57I know my business, my business partner, James Coe, who's been doing some work on running backs.
46:03Like he loves Adam Randall. So, you know, that's something I'm definitely paying attention to that.
46:08And they have Justice Hill is like this, this number two back, but never becomes this is the type of guy that would not become the starting back.
46:17If Derek Henry misses time, he's the backup because he plays on passing downs and things of that nature.
46:23So, yeah, I mean, I'm definitely paying attention to Adam Randall just for the sake of kind of what we said about
46:30having a waiver wire speed dial option. I'm going moving on to the Bengals now.
46:35And I mean, we started with the Steelers pretty settled.
46:38We go to the Ravens very settled. We go to the Bengals.
46:42Yeah, I just don't know how what are we going to learn about, you know, somebody look good in a drill when
46:49it comes to Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins, Chase Brown.
46:53People are allowed to have varying opinions on those players, but we just can't be letting anything that happens in training camp change those opinions.
47:01Jamar Chase got into a fight with the defense.
47:04DJ Turner specifically, I believe, who's a really, really good cornerback for the Bengals, even though the Bengals defense isn't good.
47:11He's a great player. I think that might be the most interesting thing we hear about a Bengals skill position player over
47:18the course of the entire training camp. I would put it this way, though.
47:22The one thing I am paying attention to as it relates to those guys, and there's already been some buzz about this
47:29in the offseason, but there kind of always is.
47:32And it's one of those, like, I really will believe it when I see it.
47:37But it's not going to force me to change my rankings or anything like that.
47:42But I would just love to hear, you know, hey, Joe Burrow's going under center more.
47:47You know, they are trying to move the offense forward away from just the Peyton Manning, get him in the gun, do
47:54the sheriff's stuff, point and shoot type offense. And I mean, look, that's the way Burrow wants to play.
48:00That's why they've run the offense that way. I think they could push to being from, like, a top five to the
48:07number one ranked offense if they introduce some more of those modern concepts and everything like that.
48:13And it's been, like, bit by bit every season.
48:16They've moved Jamar Chase around more. They've used more motion.
48:19Again, I don't know that hearing that in training camp is going to force me to alter my rankings or my draft advice on any of these guys.
48:28But it's just a way that this can go from being everybody's amazing to everybody goes nuclear this season.
48:34We are sponsored again by Cowboy Colostrum. If, like me, you regularly fight a wonky stomach, you know it's a constant battle.
48:41Like, I drink AG1. It really helps. Since I've also been drinking Cowboy Colostrum, also really steady.
48:47Like, what you're looking for is, like, a neutral tummy.
48:50And I really think Cowboy has been helping. So, Colostrum is the first milk produced by the cow.
48:56Cowboy collects it after the baby calves have had their fill.
48:59And they make it into this powder. The one I've got is cookies and cream.
49:04No artificial flavors. No fillers. No shortcuts. Tastes really good.
49:07And 83% of participants in a clinical study said their gut health was better.
49:1279% less bloating and inflammation. 72% improved digestion. Plus, it's really good for skin and hair.
49:17Like I said, came along at a very good time for me.
49:21If you have kind of a persistently edgy stomach, I really recommend.
49:25It's a regular for me by now. And try the new cookies and cream flavor.

49:40Okay, we're back with Matt. And I had one more Bengal topic that I guess I could ask you.
49:46But again, I feel like I'm stretching for topics.
49:49Because here we are, Samaj AP Ryan. Here we are.
49:52The thing is, as much as an early adopter on Chase Brown that I was, and two years ago, I was a flag player on the show.
50:01And everybody listening had him. And it was a really fun discovery.
50:05And so we're favorably inclined. I think by now, his price is catching up.
50:09And so now, I doubt he comes at massive value anymore.
50:13He does profile as a guy who would benefit from a competent second guy.
50:18It's one of those situations where I feel like, okay, are you going to be Devon A.
50:23Chan? Or are you going to be Bucky Irving?
50:26Is the massive workload simply going to make you go, as you've said, go nuclear?
50:31Or is it going to lead to a six-week absence?
50:34Because just eventually, Chase Brown hasn't broken down yet.
50:37But he's a smaller player. And you're always walking that line between, man, if you had a second guy who didn't steal
50:44too much, but there's always someone else, it almost would make me feel more comfortable with Chase Brown.
50:50But when that's Samadji Pirine, good Lord. I just can't.
50:53So I guess I would be interested to hear if Taj Brooks, you know, we've heard Matt Waldman come on the show
51:00and say he really liked Taj Brooks as a player.
51:03I watched his quote-unquote film. He didn't play a lot last year.
51:07Yeah. Is that worth paying any attention to at all in camp?
51:11Man, I wonder if they're a team that could end up trading for a running back.
51:16You know, I know that there are teams – I feel like everybody talks about the Cardinals when you come up with
51:23this because I think the fantasy community is probably trying to get one of these running backs out of Arizona, which I
51:30do wonder what the reaction would be if the Bengals traded for somebody like James Conner or something.
51:36But, yeah, I agree with you that, you know, I used to do a show with Austin Eckler and he would always
51:43talk about, man, he'd be on the show while being the fantasy RB1 overall, like begging for a second pitch, you know,
51:50running back to kind of take some of the punishment away from him.
51:55And I do think Chase Brown could probably use someone like that in the backfield.
51:59So I think that's something to monitor. I don't know.
52:03So I don't know that it's one of the guys they currently have on the roster.
52:08But certainly a guy like Brooks is worth paying attention to.
52:11Yeah, well, he's – in that he's a black box.
52:15We don't – Yep. We don't really – all we know is that he certainly did not force anybody's hand last year.
52:22And that doesn't mean he can't do it in the future.
52:25And if the way the training camp stories out of Cincinnati go are that, yeah, Taj Brooks is not really any more
52:32of a factor than he was last year. Cool.
52:35That dream ends. And if the stories are they've got their second guy and Samaj AP Rens roster spot is no longer
52:42– like it could go that way. I don't think it's going to mean you must draft Taj Brooks as the Chase Brown handcuff.
52:50I guess it could. And, of course, I mean that's the most fascinating part if a team that has a smaller feature
52:57back trades for a James Conner, say, for example.
53:00For sure, it's – I know the way this works.
53:03Chase Brown's ADP goes down. And, frankly, I want that to happen because I don't – I understand that maybe the path
53:10to him being the RB4 for the season gets narrower, but the path for him to be the RB13 maybe gets safer.
53:17Probably doesn't change at all, and people then would draft him later.
53:21Yeah, I'm really into Chase Brown this year. I think, again, there's a chance that this whole offense just really takes a
53:28step forward, and obviously Burrow being healthy would be a big part of it.
53:33But, yeah, I'm into Chase Brown this year, and I do think any sort of – any sort of anything to push
53:40his ADP down, which is probably not going to happen, I would be interested in that.
53:45I'd be like – I'd like to take him later.
53:48But, yeah, they're a team that just – very unsettled beyond Chase Brown and a guy that they haven't even committed to long-term in Chase Brown.
53:57So, yeah, I'm fascinated to track that if there's anything that comes to that backfield over the course of the next few weeks.
54:04All right. Well, Cleveland Browns, obviously, here's where the value is.
54:08I mean, it is. Well, here's where the – like, things are unsettled here for everything we just said.
54:14Yeah, it's certainly unsettled, and a lot of training camp stories that do matter and we will pay attention to.
54:20And I keep saying this as we get to the bottoms of these divisions.
54:25These are the teams where you will actually get value.
54:28These are the teams where if you can sniff it outright and everyone decides they're lost for dead, and then they submit
54:35a fine season as opposed to a disaster season, you find value.
54:39And we're not going to know until the games start counting.
54:42Like, we didn't know the Colts were about to be really good on offense.
54:47We didn't know the Patriots were about to be really good on offense this time last year.
54:52So, let's talk about Browns. I guess Quinchon Judkins is the one guy being drafted to be a fantasy starter, as he should.
55:00It was good tape before he got hurt. And the reports so far have been pretty optimistic about his recovery.
55:06You know, as long as that continues, I assume his ADP either stays where it is or even maybe goes up over the course of August.
55:15Feels like it would be tough for it to go up, but yeah, I think the fact that he's coming in healthy.
55:22Harold Fannin, too, obviously drafted as a tight end one.
55:25Oh, right. Sorry. But, yeah, but I just mean he's also coming off of an injury as well.
55:31Like, he had groin surgery this offseason. So, monitoring their health reports is probably the most important thing.
55:37I would just be interested, and again, this is really hard to know until you get to the real games, of course.
55:44But is Quinchon Judkins going to get more passing down work?
55:47Because you kind of need that on a team that's probably not going to be very good in the Cleveland Browns.
55:54Being an early down banger on what might be one of the five worst football teams in the NFL isn't ideal.
56:01But I do find myself, like, interested in this.
56:04This is, I'm sure I'm going to shock you when I say this.
56:08I do find myself really interested in this offense overall, and really being, like, maybe a bit too strong of a word.
56:15Because I think Todd Monken is a great offensive coach.
56:18I want Todd to survive this season because I think he's going to be really fun behind the mic.
56:24And I also think, again, smart offensive coach. And I think the run game will be well designed.
56:30I think Judkins could benefit from that. I just, obviously, we have a big question behind center, which hangs over all of this.
56:38But Judkins is a guy that, like, when I've looked at my rankings, I haven't really had a strong take one way or another on.
56:46But I do think if we hear, like, oh, he's going to be more of a true three-down back as opposed to he's the two-down.
56:54And then Dylan Sampson, who's a really nice pass catcher and pretty electric in his own right in certain areas.
57:00Him being that kind of third-down guy does limit Judkins' ceiling.
57:04So that's something to pay attention to is Judkins, like, passing down work.
57:08But, again, as you say, I just find it really doubtful that the Browns are going to tell us that.
57:14You know, they're not going to come out and tell Dylan Sampson the third week of August, you know, indirectly.
57:21You ain't doing anything to your big dog. Yeah, we're not really counting on Dylan Sampson for anything this year.
57:27You know, they're not going to give us that info.
57:30But, you know, you say there's a good chance this is a bottom-five offense.
57:35But I really think you could say that about half the league because we just don't really know beforehand.
57:41And so, as I said when we talked about the Dolphins and when we talked about the Jets and, you know, the Cardinals, this is where value is.
57:50If you can find the guy and you guess, you just sort of get – it's a late enough round that they don't have to start for you.
57:59Now, Fannin and Judkins do have to start for you where you have to take them.
58:04So, that's a different conversation. But everybody else, if a good player gets depressed because everybody just decides it's a hopeless environment
58:11and then they're the Colts of last year before Dana Jones got hurt, you suddenly have a fantasy starter out of nowhere.
58:18Judkins, as I say, isn't going to be – I have him 16 standard among running backs, 18 PPR.
58:25He could go higher than that, I guess. But, like, I don't think he's going to go top 12 at any point
58:32no matter what the role is, no matter – just because people are going to decide the Browns stink and I don't
58:39want any part of it and they're going to be playing from behind and all those things that we can't – we
58:46might have suspicions but we can't really know beforehand.
58:49And as such, I can imagine being okay and kind of happy if he's my RB2.
58:54I have found myself taking him as an RB2 for sure because I think he's a good player.
59:00Yeah, he's good. Yeah, he's a good player. It just always is going to be tough in that environment to really, really stand out for fantasy.
59:08But like you said, things can happen. And you're right, there's so many offenses that could be bottom five, but I also
59:15– like the teams you mentioned there, I can tell myself a story.
59:19That's what July and August is for, telling yourself a story.
59:23And if the story comes true in Cleveland, that's a back that I think is good and can hold down a role.
59:30Me too. Does the quarterback – you referred to the quarterback battle, the Shadur Sanders-Deshaun Watson battle of the Titans.
59:36Not the Titans, the Browns. Does that matter to you for the purposes of everybody else?
59:42I know you're not probably going to be real excited about having either one of those guys, even on a super flex team.
59:49But does the outcome – I kind of don't believe it's a battle.
59:53How in the world would you let Deshaun Watson play for you ever again when it's the last year of the biggest Albatross contract ever in NFL?
60:02But they're saying it's a battle. Does the result influence the way you think about everybody else's rank?
60:08Or is it kind of just like, I don't care, whichever one is going to be is going to kind of be the same impact on everybody else?
60:17You know what? I'm going to go ahead and say it actually really does because I think Watson is that bad.
60:23And I think – it's funny how this one has played out, you know, reading the tea leaves and stuff.
60:30Is right after, you know, the draft, some of the Cleveland reporters are like, yeah, no, they're going to – Deshaun Watson enters the offseason as the QB1.
60:39And then by the end of training – mini camp, it's like, well, Shador Sanders has closed the gap.
60:45And it's like, I don't think that's anything Shador is doing.
60:49I think that's just – oh, right. This is what it looks like when Watson, who was terrible, then pops his Achilles twice.
60:56Like, that's what he looks like. And then, you know, he opens camp with back-to-back passes that were intercepted.
61:02It was Deshaun Watson. So I'm actually going to go ahead and say this does really matter to me.
61:08Not because I find myself to be like a big Shador Sanders honk, but I actually think going back and somehow having
61:15the stones to watch the Browns offense last year, the fortitude to watch the Browns offense, I think Shador is not as bad as the stats indicate.
61:24And to be clear, the stats indicate he was the worst quarterback in the NFL last year, you know, among guys that played enough snaps.
61:32It's like him and Cam Ward. But Shador, I think he can be like a functional NFL quarterback with a lot of flaws, clear holes in his game.
61:41But if he's the starter for the vast majority of the season, I think that could be okay, you know, passable for the pass catchers.
61:49And I really like the pass catchers. That's what, and maybe, so maybe this is a little bit of hopium here, copium,
61:56but like I do, I really like Casey Concepcion.
61:59I really like Denzel Boston and how they compliment each other.
62:03I'm a little bit, I'm over the Jerry Judy experience, but those two guys in particular, I'm interested in.
62:09So, and I think Shador could be good enough for those guys to be like, all right, we, and maybe not starter,
62:16certainly not starters in fantasy necessarily, but guys are like, okay, I could throw Casey in my bi-week flex.
62:22You know, I know, I at least know what these guys can do by the end of the season, if that makes sense.
62:29It makes sense. And, and the way I would rephrase it, I would probably go even further and say, if Sanders, you
62:37know, if then that you just gave, which is if Sanders can kind of keep the boat afloat.
62:42Like, sure, Concepcion, Boston, whoever, might not be your week one starter, but again, we were saying the same things.
62:49It was impossible for any Colts receiver. It was impossible for, you know, and like by week four, we're like, I guess it's not impossible.
62:57Our, our, our minds are going to get blown in a thousand ways.
63:01And that's one that they could, but I'm so with you that it needs to be Sanders, that what's baked into my
63:08ranks, modest as they are for these Browns is, is a Shador Sanders under center and not Deshaun.
63:14And I got, you know, I didn't find Sanders's arm to be horrible.
63:18It's pretty strong. I didn't find his throwing accuracy to be horrible.
63:22It's fine. The problem was something that we're not going to learn in training camp, which is, would you please throw the ball?
63:29You're still holding the ball. Could you stop holding the ball?
63:33And he's just not mobile enough to, like, he can't get away with that.
63:38The thing that he would do at Colorado, which is just like run around until somebody got open.
63:43And he just can't do it in the NFL.
63:46And he's going to have to, you know, he has to throw the ball.
63:51But yes, if Watson wins that, he's not going to, I really don't.
63:55No, he won't. I mean, he might, he might be like, he might get like a ceremonial start in week one because they're just so pot committed.
64:04But I really feel, I honestly do feel like he will be so bad in camp that Mocken won't start him.
64:10I would be, I'd be shocked. Organizationally, wash your damn hands.
64:14What are we talking about? You want to put him in a position where he succeeds and you have to consider giving him another contract?
64:22What are you, crazy? Yeah, get him, get him out of everybody's face.
64:26He should just cut him. Just, let's, let's finish by talking about those receivers.
64:31Let's do the same routine. These two guys are more highly drafted than the Baltimore guys and a lot more is expected of them.
64:38Maybe right away. Again, like I know a little more about Concepcion and Boston.
64:43They're joining a receiving core that has a couple of incumbents.
64:46I liked Cedric Tillman, but he just can't stay healthy.
64:50I have a long, very long history of doubting Jerry Judy's ADP and being right every single year.
64:56How will we know? How will we know that Concepcion and Boston have superseded the veteran components there?
65:01What can we hear about? And please give me your evaluation of both of them.
65:06Well, yeah, by the way, it sounds like we're watching the same film on both Judy and Cedric Tillman.
65:12I think Tillman actually has a chance to not be on the roster just because they've been talking about Isaiah.
65:19I can't count on him, but I think somebody he'd be an interesting reclamation project for somebody because he really did in that 20.
65:26Yeah. And that 2024 season, like he showed some showed some stuff.
65:30And even at the beginning of last year was playing all right before.
65:35Again, he just he just can't stay on the field.
65:38They're talking up Isaiah Bond, too, as the third receiver or like some sort of member of the receiver core.
65:44Bond was an undrafted free agent because he felt completely fell out of the draft due to I will just leave it at legal issues.
65:52And you guys can do the Google for yourself.
65:55But he was not an undrafted talent. He was probably more of somebody you should think of, like as a third round, early fourth round type of player.
66:04So when you hear like, oh, Isaiah Bond is making that's not completely out of nowhere that that guy would make some noise.
66:12But the reason I bring him up is because I think this is another like they're going to they're going to say the right things about Jerry Judy.
66:21They're going to like. Yes. And then even right after the draft, I said, oh, he's Andrew Barry.
66:26The GM said he's our bell cow receiver, which I've never heard anyone refer to anyone as a bell cow receiver.
66:33And if there is such a thing as a bell cow receiver, it's definitely not someone like Jerry Judy.
66:39But they can say all the right things. But I actually do think there's a real chance that, you know, Jerry Judy
66:46could maybe even be like a midseason trade candidate or something like that.
66:51I don't know if they can outright cut him out of training camp.
66:55That would be a little surprising. But like there's a real chance that it's Boston at X, Concepcion at Z and Bond
67:02is like the speed slot by the end of the season.
67:05Because I think Judy could, again, maybe be like a midseason trade candidate if there are injuries.
67:11And again, I am a big I'm a huge fan of Concepcion.
67:15I was ahead of consensus on him as a prospect.
67:18I thought he was just someone that, yeah, he has issues at the catch point.
67:23He has some drops. But he has real separation ability.
67:26And I expect him to be deployed well in this offense.
67:30Some people compared him to like Zay Flowers. I could see that as like a usage type plan for him.
67:36I just think he is so explosive, knows how to beat man coverage.
67:40I'm a big fan of him. So I think he'll get designer opportunities, easy catches, which if it's Shudder Sanders at quarterback,
67:47I could see, you know, there even being some like PPR scam weeks for Casey Concepcion.
67:52But he's so talented that he'll make plays out of those.
67:56So I'm he's someone that I wouldn't just like cross off the list just because he plays for the damn Cleveland Browns.
68:03And then, you know, for Denzel Boston, probably less fantasy viable in year one because I think he will be used more
68:10as an X receiver outside on ball. But I also like him to be more than just an X long term.
68:17I think he fits more along the profile of like if we're talking about receiver families and the patriarchs of the family
68:24are like Michael Thomas, you know, Drake London, Ted O McMillan kind of in the next tier down.
68:30And then there's like Cortland Sutton and Michael Pittman, like X receivers who are a little bit more than that.
68:36Boston, I think, fits in that like kind of Pittman ish zone where he's he could be a big bodied X, but he doesn't have to just be.
68:45So I like Boston. I think the way those two guys complement each other really makes a lot of sense.
68:52So I am hoping by the end of the year that that they're kind of the starting receivers and and we're getting
68:59to see a little bit of them because from a dynasty standpoint, I think they'd be interesting if they had a real deal quarterback.
69:07So I have them both ranked inside my top 160.
69:10So, you know, throw throw late round picks at them.
69:13And I agree with you that right now I'm thinking of them as an as a tandem.
69:19But depending on what gets said about them, there's a chance that one of them could be elevated above the other.
69:25It's something very much worth paying attention to. Sometimes, you know, when you hear it about just how.
69:31The beat reporters say what it's like. Yeah. Concepcion is always out there and Boston comes in in the second group or
69:38in the competitive practices against other teams. They're only throwing Boston's way and Concepcion can't get a taste.
69:44And like, would you agree that's probably the I don't think it's likely that Todd Munkin or anybody else is going to
69:51come out and say one of these guys is a bomb and the other one's going to start for us.
69:58You know, it's you're having to read between the lines a little bit.
70:02Well, if anyone would say it, it would be Todd Munkin.
70:05But yeah, I don't think that would happen. And I think you would have to kind of read between the lines, mostly just like, yeah, reps.
70:14And that is what's interesting about Boston is that because he's the bigger body and look, I think Concepcion is and will
70:21be a better player than Jerry Judy. But just body type wise, deployment and role wise, there's probably less overlap with Boston than Judy.
70:28Although last year, and obviously it's different coaching staff, they weirdly use Jerry Judy at X receiver, which made no sense.
70:35And that was strange. But I do ultimately think that that's something that could be like a maybe like a tie that you break in favor of Boston.
70:44But I think the problem is there. He then, OK, he's going to run the difficult downfield routes.
70:50And I trust you or Sanders to like get the ball out quickly on designer stuff.
70:55And, you know, that is a little difficult. Yeah, yeah.
70:58I'll just I'll get you out of here on this question.
71:02If you get the if you get the Jerry Judy or Cedric Tillman release, you know, they're just they're cut by the end of camp.
71:10Listen, you know, the salary cap's fake. That doesn't matter.
71:13Like they just don't want to pay the actual dollars to Jerry Judy.
71:17He's making a lot of them and they can get out from under some of the less guaranteed money.
71:24Can because the quarterback is so bad, even if it's Sanders, we're still not saying it's good.
71:29I assume there's still a limit. You might bump one or one or both, depending on how the news is going of
71:36those two rookie receivers a bit higher in your receiver list.
71:40But I assume there there is a ceiling. But how high you'd be willing to go if it's Tillman?
71:46No, I don't know that I'd really bump them because I just right now.
71:50I just don't know how he projects into the mix here unless like we find out by the end of camp.
71:57Like, no, he's played so well. Like Boston is not going to start.
72:01But for Judy, yeah, no, I think if Judy was to get released, I would I would see a bump for both
72:08of these guys just because he like we can sit here and say like that.
72:13They don't think about they think about contracts and stuff like that when it comes to doling out playing time.
72:20So if he's not on the roster truly, then, yeah, I think that that would be a big bump specifically for Concepcion.
72:27How big a bump? Like not a top 100 player probably.
72:30Um, yeah, I don't I don't know about top 100, but like right now he's in that just kind of zone of,
72:37well, this guy's going to be on the field and he's got to be ranked as a top, you know, almost fringe top 50 receiver.
72:45I could see him getting up to maybe the in the mid 40s at receiver.
72:50And yeah, overall ranks like right now, again, I've got a Concepcion kind of in the deep and not in the deep hundreds, but like one 30 ish.
72:59I could see him getting close to the hundreds.
73:02Okay. All right. Well, it's those the Browns do contain some interesting stories to track and we will do so.
73:09Thank you so much for doing this, Matt. I appreciate it.
