Alvin Kamara

NegativeInjury7:30

Alvin Kamara is confirmed to be out for at least a month, missing recent joint practices.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue28:51

Bucky Irving is a flag player for the source; he is considered highly elusive and a strong value pick in the fourth or fifth round.

Insight page
NegativeBust44:28

The source expresses significant concern regarding Bucky Irving's 5'10", 195-pound frame and his lack of explosiveness following last year's injury. Despite high volume, he failed to average four yards per carry in any game last season and recorded zero rushing attempts within the five-yard line. The source views him as a risky asset, comparing his outlook to Jalen Warren or Tony Pollard, and believes he is overvalued as a fourth-round pick.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeProjection5:47

Caleb Williams continues to show both peaks and valleys in practice, including an interception by Dexter Lawrence during a joint session with the Bengals.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeUsage7:36

Chris Olave was held out of joint practice for rest purposes.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveSleeper17:14

Chris Rodriguez is a flag player for the source; he is a power back who is expected to play a significant role despite being a later-round draft pick.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveBreakout5:29

Denzel Boston was the standout performer during the joint practice session between the Browns and Bills.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveValue22:07

Devontae Smith is a flag player for the source; despite a recent hamstring issue, he is viewed as a high-upside receiver who can handle a large role.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeValue38:33

Cousin Josh is fading Fannin at his current ADP of 74. While he likes the player's long-term potential, the current price is too high compared to later-round tight end options like Dallas Goedert, Brenton Strange, or Juwan Johnson. Concerns include target competition from rookies Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston, as well as an uncertain quarterback situation in Cleveland.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeUsage6:42

Jamar Chase expressed frustration with himself after dropping several passes during a joint practice with the Bears.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeValue29:30

Cousin Josh is fading Love, who has an ADP of 28 (RB14). Concerns include his high ankle sprain, the presence of Tyler Allgeier who consistently steals carries, and the Cardinals' poor team outlook. Josh suggests that if the Cardinals struggle early (1-9 start), the team may prioritize resting their top draft pick rather than pushing him through minor injuries, making him a poor value at his current third-round price.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveProjection5:41

Josh Allen reportedly looked very good during the joint practice session with the Browns.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveValue56:50

The source is high on Kenneth Walker, viewing his current ADP of 17-19 as a reasonable price point. Unlike his stance on Rashee Rice, the source believes Walker's talent justifies his draft position and is comfortable targeting him in the middle of the second round.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveValue21:48

Kyron Williams is a flag player for the source, ranked higher than Devontae Smith, and is considered a strong target in the third round.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection35:42

Lamar Jackson is noted for having a high career average depth of target and a willingness to push the ball downfield.

Insight page

Luke Musgrave

NegativeValue42:47

The source has significantly lowered his ranking for Luke Musgrave, moving him out of the tier with Sam LaPorta and Tucker Kraft. He is now ranked alongside Brenton Strange, Juwan Johnson, and Kyle Pitts, as the source is no longer willing to bet on a player who may not see significant playing time.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeInjury6:57

Puka Nakua has missed 10 days of practice with a groin injury, raising concerns about his availability for Week 1.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

NegativeInjury5:33

Quinchon Judkins missed practice due to a nagging injury, but the source notes this has not yet impacted his fantasy rankings.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

PositiveBust53:26

The source is completely off-board on Rashee Rice, ranking him as the WR26 despite his ADP of WR12. The source cites his lack of a 1,000-yard season, recurring off-field legal issues, and a low average depth of target (ADOT) as major red flags, labeling him a 'slant merchant' who is being propped up solely by his association with Patrick Mahomes.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

NegativeUsage27:06

The source notes that Sam Laporta's health and presence in the lineup could impact Jamison Williams' target share compared to last season.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeValue40:57

Cousin Josh and the source have both downgraded Kraft significantly. Josh removed him from his top-tier tight end rankings following comments suggesting he might be limited or off the field by mid-season, making him a player to avoid at his previous draft price.

Insight page

Ty Chandler

PositiveDepth Chart8:21

Ty Chandler had a strong practice session, positioning himself alongside Kendra Miller and Devin Neal as a potential backup to Travis Etienne.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveProjection21:13

Flowers is an electric playmaker who has been 'snakebitten' regarding touchdowns, often tackled at the 1-yard line. Despite Derrick Henry handling goal-line work, Flowers is poised to break his 6-touchdown ceiling. He is a strong route runner who ranked second in the NFL in play-action yards last year, and his potential for a JSN-style breakout is high if touchdown variance shifts in his favor.

Insight page
PositiveValue32:32

Zay Flowers is the source's number one flag player; he is viewed as an electric playmaker with significant touchdown upside who is currently undervalued.

0:00It's the Harris Fantasy Football Podcast with your host Christopher Harris.
0:04Hey everybody, welcome in. My name is Chris and this is a show about oranges and lemons.
0:09Hello there. Happy Friday. Thank you so much for being here today.
0:13You yacht possums. It's a big one. Big show.
0:16We'll continue the countdown of the flag player list and we'll have the Frag players as well.
0:21This is also my last LA based show for most of a week.
0:26I am going on a meetup tour as of Monday.
0:29When I talk to you on Monday, it will be from a Seattle hotel room after having done the first pound foolish
0:36meetup and reading on Sunday at the Mule Tavern in Tacoma.
0:39Then for Monday, I will fly to Portland for an event that evening, Tuesday Vegas, Wednesday Phoenix.
0:45All the details if you'd like to come hang out.
0:48Look in the show notes. The link works now.
0:51Or go to HarrisFootball.com. Scroll down on the pound foolish page.
0:55There's a big old graphic giving you every piece of information you need for this tour.
1:00I will have copies of the new book with me for you to buy.
1:04And then, of course, I can sign them and personalize them for you.
1:09So, if you're planning on joining for one of these events and would like a copy of pound foolish signed, bring Venmo
1:16and I will be ready to go. As I say, I will be making shows in the morning next week.
1:22I will be, nothing's going to change except I'll be in a hotel room.
1:27So, you know, as the whole thing's going on day by day, I'll give you a briefing on how it's going.
1:34It's going to be very, very fun. Looking forward to meeting whoever does come out.
1:38Original recipe La Liga Lebowski had its auction on Thursday night.
1:42That was last night. A very fun affair. I think we all agreed it went longer than we can ever remember.
1:49There just happened to be a whole bunch of players contracts that expired at the same time.
1:54And or a bunch of players who got cut back in March.
1:58So, we just had more guys to churn through at auction.
2:02Took, I think, nearly two hours. And we made good time like we weren't dilly-dallying.
2:07Normally, that's like an hour ten max. Did I purchase myself a single running back?
2:11I sure didn't. I sure didn't. There were some.
2:14They went for a lot. And I decided not to spend it.
2:18Good luck, Jeremiah Love, Jadarian Price, Blake Coram, Jordan Mason, Kyle Monongai.
2:22I can't imagine what could go wrong with that running back group.
2:26Oh, and I am touching my fictional earpiece and being told that Jeremiah Love and Kyle Monongai are already hurt.
2:32Although that team does still have Chase and Jefferson, Drake May.
2:36Got Sam Laporta. Hopefully he's healthy. Got Cortland Sutton.
2:39The highest dollar players of the night on a salary cap of like mid-1500s.
2:43You had Saquon at 475, Derek Henry 418, two Cousin Josh, Jonathan Taylor 407.
2:4892 players up for auction. I have a lot of cap room left.
2:52That's perfect. Exactly as I planned it. Room to make trades.
2:56Room to acquire salary. Room to make the fab bids to bring everybody to their knees.
3:01We'll see if my extremely young backfield in that league is doomed or not.
3:05We had four more joint practices on Thursday. It seems to me, from the perspective of very early on Friday morning, that
3:13big injuries were fortunately less the story of the day than earlier in the week.
3:17Let's see. Let's go through them briefly. Browns Bills.
3:20So one thing, I wasn't there. I'm just reading a lot of beat reports from people I trust.
3:26Casey Concepcion has been a buzzy guy throughout camp.
3:29It sounds actually like Denzel Boston was the star of that session.
3:33And Quinchon Judkins missed the practice with a nagging injury that so far has not changed anything inside my ranks.
3:39But we'll pay attention to it. I didn't have any notes for the Bills.
3:44It sounded like Josh Allen was really good. Bears Bengals.
3:47Caleb Williams, about whom we talked on Thursday's show once again, had peaks but also had valleys.
3:53Dexter Lawrence apparently had a field day rushing Caleb Williams and even intercepted him once.
3:58Stop me if you've heard this before. Great highlights from Williams and head-shaking plays too.
4:02And Jamar Chase, Seven Nation Army, he apparently dropped a few passes in this practice and was very frustrated with himself.
4:09So obviously, huge downgrade to Jamar Chase. Saints Rams.
4:12Saints right back at it. Had a joint practice two days ago with the Cowboys.
4:17Then Thursday with the Rams. No Puka Nakua. Still dealing with a groin injury.
4:21Puka Nakua hasn't practiced in 10 days. And I'm not, you know, camp is basically over.
4:27I'm not sure we're going to get a lot of Puka Nakua practice between now and week one.
4:32He's a first-round pick. Could we get the nasty surprise for week one?
4:37The Rams are not tipping their hand yet. And I'm not making changes yet.
4:41But it certainly should be sitting in the back of your head if you're in the back of round one and you're thinking you want to take Puka.
4:50There was no Alvin Kamara. You know because he's out for at least a month in this joint practice.
4:56Chris Olave was resting. Who's going to be the backup to Travis Etienne yesterday?
5:01Apparently things got less clear because people said that Ty Chandler had a really good practice to join Kendra Miller and Devin Neal as possible candidates.
5:09I'm not acting on any of that and probably in any standard-sized league you don't need to be drafting any of those
5:16Saints backup running backs just because of lack of clarity.
5:20Devontae Adams apparently absolutely rampaged in that practice for whatever that's worth.
5:24And then the one I was really waiting for, Giants-Dolphins.
5:27And unfortunately, I'm not going to have a lot of Giants notes for you because you know what I was waiting for.
5:34I talked about it for a week now. This is about De'Von A-Chan and how bad his situation will be.
5:40You know, talked about it on Thursday's pod with Matt Harmon.
5:44It was both our number one thing. We were worried we could be wrong about.
5:49Are the Dolphins truly going to be world-historically bad?
5:52Because if they're not, then we're probably missing some draftable players on there.
5:56But neither one of us is putting a bunch of draftable players on there.
6:00So we are kind of assuming they're going to be bad.
6:04But how bad? Bad enough that we want to lower Devontae Chan.
6:08You know, I'm combing through the reports of a joint practice from the Dolphins again.
6:13And once again, Miami apparently was just really bad on offense.
6:16The Giants were in Malik Willis' face for the entire practice.
6:20They're not allowed to sack him. But Observer said, yeah, he might have been sacked like a dozen different times.
6:26Bad blitz pickup. A-Chan apparently had one run where maybe he got around the edge for a big play.
6:32Although, I guess, Abdul Carter raised his hand because he was nearby as though he thought he would have made the play.
6:40Like there's no tackling in these things. Yeah. I'm trying to be true to my word here.
6:45After the Dolphins-Commanders joint practice, I told you I wanted to wait.
6:49I wanted to see, okay, maybe that was just one bad day.
6:53But once again, you have opposing beat reporters just piling on.
6:56Maybe this is just a case of NFL reporters knowing that the expectations for the Dolphins are low.
7:02So they're going in ready to pounce. You know, they feel comfortable saying negative stuff.
7:07I don't know. These guys have been doing it a long time.
7:11I think it's likelier the Dolphins have just looked really bad in these joint practices.
7:16You can't really tell anything from a joint practice.
7:19But it's a better representation of where these teams are than exhibition games are.
7:23I truly believe that. And so I'm going to do it.
7:27I'm relenting a little bit on Devon A-Chan. He's a little further down in the ranks.
7:32The move that I just executed puts him 13th overall standard, 16th PPR.
7:36This is not a massive change. But we do those shows in July.
7:40And we talk about the things we want to pay attention to in training camp.
7:45And absolutely, A-Chan and the Dolphins was one of them.
7:49So I'm going to do it. I feel like you want to be stubborn in your opinions because you want them to
7:56be based on reality, not some ephemeral feeling of the moment.
7:59But you try to be somewhat flexible. And so he's not a bust.
8:03I'm not putting him into terrible bust territory. But yeah, there are indicators for sure that the Dolphins are going to be bad.
8:11Now, we talked with Matt on Thursday about how Malik Willis is just okay and better than he was with Tennessee.
8:18And the offensive line turns out to be better than people think.
8:22There are scenarios where it can turn out we're all just too low on Dolphins because we're not good at predicting situations beforehand.
8:29But these two joint practices have kind of convinced me, yeah, this is one of the situations that I'm kind of believing.
8:36It doesn't have a lot of hope. So my lowering of A-Chan here, it mostly just puts him in line with where most sites have him ranked.
8:45Today's kickoff. Okay, on today's show, a lot to get to.
8:48We will finish counting down the flag players list, players five through one.
8:53That will be very fun. And then Cousin Josh will join the show.
8:57And Josh will do the opposite of endorsing players.
9:00He will give you players he definitely does not love.
9:03These are the Cousin Josh Frag Players. I think you'll have fun.
9:07And I thank you again so much for listening today.
9:10We are sponsored again by Dose, a delicious juice you can drink just two ounces of per day as a way to self-manage your cholesterol.
9:18A lot of people understandably aren't thrilled by the idea of taking a whole bunch of capsules.
9:24Dose is a clinically backed support supplement and it targets triglycerides, LDL, HDL, and total cholesterol levels.
9:29I have Dose. I've been drinking a little two-ounce shot of Dose each morning.
9:34It's mango with a hit of ginger. It is delicious.
9:37I've checked the ingredients. There's nothing crazy in there.
9:40Turmeric, gooseberry, a natural antioxidant, and other plant-based ingredients.
9:43Tastes really good and is clinically proven to aid cholesterol levels.
9:46If that's something you've been thinking about, I'd recommend giving it a try.
9:51New Dose customers can save 35% on your first month of subscription by going to dosedaily.co slash Harris or entering slash Harris at checkout.
9:58That's D-O-S-E-D-A-I-L-Y dot C-O slash Harris for 35% off your first subscription month.
10:02Maybe I'm just not up with the times, but who listens to podcasts?
10:07Oh, come on now. That is a great question, Troy.
10:10You are not up with the times and you were not when you said that like eight years ago or something.
10:17I mean, he didn't know how right he was.
10:20Everything's on YouTube. Who listens to podcasts? I don't know.
10:23Here we are still cranking them out after all these years.
10:26And I'm still doing flag players every dang year.
10:29You heard number 10 through number 6 yesterday. Let's keep the list going now.
10:34Number 5. At number 5, it's our last later round guy.
10:37It's Chris Rodriguez. Again, as I emphasized with the later round guys on the list yesterday, where do they get drafted?
10:44Your guess is as good as mine. It absolutely depends on your platform.
10:48If you're on Yahoo or ESPN, I don't think Rodriguez is even listed in the top 168 of their default ranks.
10:55And so maybe it doesn't go at all. For other sites, it's more like round 11, round 12.
11:01I don't know. And it's not like I know anything for sure about workload.
11:06But it seems like for a few weeks there, I sure heard a lot of people talking about how well Leon Cohen
11:13has a long history of Chris Rodriguez. And he brought him in and he wouldn't have brought him in without a reason.
11:20And then Rodriguez was slow getting started in training camp because of foot surgery.
11:24But he's been back for most of August, I think.
11:28He's been doing everything. And then LeQuint Allen just got hurt a few days ago.
11:32I don't think he's out for a real long time, but he is out for a little while.
11:38Generally, it's just so funny to me that you get these speeches out of people when they decide they don't like a player.
11:46That, oh, there's all these other guys. And then if they like a player, they go, bah, you know, who cares about those other guys?
11:54Like every team basically has other guys. And very, very few, like two or three running backs will do 70% of his team's carries or more.
12:02And it's just going to be a mix-up. And like, you know, Kyron Williams doomed because there's Blake Corum.
12:08Chase Brown, don't worry about it. Who cares about Smudgy Piran?
12:12You know, it's just actually they're all going to have someone else play.
12:16I feel like this is the same thing. I feel like everybody just decided they love Bashul Tootin and there are no threats.
12:24And so that's what the ADP suggests that, you know, you can think of Chris Rodriguez like you think of Brian Robinson.
12:31And I do not agree with that statement. You know, Rodriguez is there.
12:35He was handpicked by one of his college coaches.
12:38And he's going to play just like every other NFL backfield just about has somebody who's going to play.
12:44Some more manner of platoon. And Rodriguez is the power back.
12:48And he's pretty good at that. And he's very good at touchdowns.
12:51And so is Tootin. So like, I don't know who's getting the touchdowns.
12:56But I think Rodriguez is on the board as a possibility.
12:59He's going to play. He's going to play a bunch.
13:02I will stash that. No obligation to use him.
13:05And let's see how it works out. Number four.
13:08Okay, number four. You might remember yesterday when I selected Kyron Williams for the flag list.
13:13I said that I was fudging the round numbers a little bit because Williams overlaps pretty closely in ADP with one of
13:21the receivers I'm going to put on the list.
13:23And that receiver is 120 pounds. And now my knee hurts.
13:27I'm in space. But Jalen is blind. 120 pounds.
13:30I'm a receiver and my knee hurts so I cry.
13:33Much less crying, hopefully this year, for Devontae Smith.
13:36Smith and Kyron Williams certainly go within a round of each other.
13:40So it might just be difficult to get both.
13:43That's okay. You know, it's pretty impossible, especially with the state of ADP internet-wide, to devise a flag list where everybody's going to be able to draft everybody.
13:52There's just going to be overlap. Williams is higher in my own ranks than Devontae Smith, but they're both round two picks for me.
14:00I think they generally, both Kyron Williams and Devontae Smith, go in round three from what I've seen.
14:06You know, I said this yesterday. I would love to go like Bajon at two, Kyron, and then Devontae Smith early round three.
14:13I think that would be a great start for me.
14:16But let's talk about Smith himself. Is there any hesitation because of the hamstring in training camp?
14:22He missed nearly two weeks of camp and didn't participate in the joint practices with the Patriots the past couple days.
14:28But Smith supposedly is back doing drills, and I don't think this is anything more than precautionary.
14:34And you know it's a big role if he can handle it with no A.J.
14:39Brown there. So this is a vote from me that he can handle it.
14:43He's probably not a 170 target guy because he is slender, and you need to be careful of too much stuff in traffic.
14:51But Smith is a terrifying receiver. He is a great deep threat.
14:55He's got a great pair of hands, kitten mittens attached to his arms.
14:59I'm not saying I find him completely unimpeachable because I'm not putting him number four or whatever, you know.
15:05I really don't want Devontae Smith running a bunch of dig routes into traffic and getting blasted.
15:11But that's okay because Jalen Hurts doesn't really like to throw the dig route.
15:15I have Smith wide receiver 10. He goes wide receiver 14-ish.
15:19So I am on board. Number three. At number three, I probably have an even faster receiver than Smith, who is not
15:26as accomplished and has been frustrating for a long time, but did put it together in the second half of last year.
15:33It's Jamison Williams on the flag list for the first time.
15:36Sometimes he goes round five, even better if you can get him to last into round six.
15:42We've certainly had conversations about him, about how when Dan Campbell started calling plays for the Lions in the second half of
15:49last year, suddenly you got more than Jamison Williams running wind sprints with his arm up in the air.
15:55You got some shallow crosses out of him. You got some one-step screens out of him.
16:00He ran curls in front of too deep coverage, which is huge because there's a lot of too deep coverage.
16:07And it worked. From week 10 forward, Williams was the wide receiver 4 in standard and 5 in PPR.
16:13Do I understand how it could not work out taking him?
16:17Definitely. That's why he's not a first-round pick. Campbell is no longer calling the plays.
16:21And I sure did not love Drew Petsig as a play caller in Arizona.
16:26And if Sam Laporta's hip is healthy and he's out there as usual, that would be a difference from last year when
16:33the Lions did not have Laporta during most of Jamison Williams' really good run.
16:38And if we wind up sending Williams back out there to run wind sprints again, and he just gets frustrating from week
16:45to week, we'll probably be able to explain it by saying, yeah, it was because Laporta had returned.
16:51But if I were the Lions, based on what I observed from November onward last year, that's not what I would do.
16:58I would spread things out more. I would make sure that Williams was a significant part of my plan in a bunch
17:05of different ways, not just deep stuff. His deep speed is absolutely absurd.
17:09He's going to make some big plays. Now, he does have a pair of duck hands.
17:14That is a little scary. I don't love having the duck hands on the flag list.
17:19But sixth round, count me in 100%. Fifth round, still will do it.
17:24I was going to say, like, depending on what else I've taken before him.
17:28But fifth round, I probably do it. Number two.
17:31Number two on the flag list, I have the sprinter soldier, Bucky Irving.
17:35He is at some risk of overlapping where Jamison Williams goes.
17:39But I'm actually okay if I do Irving fourth, Williams fifth.
17:42So I'm not going to stress out too much about that.
17:46Why are we going back to the well with Bucky Irving?
17:49So I think he's so elusive. I think he might be the third most elusive running back in the league behind McCaffrey and A-chan.
17:57He's not quite the burner that A-chan is straight ahead.
18:00But in terms of cutting and making you miss, this would certainly apply to him.
18:05He's as slippery as a raindrop. When he was healthy last season, there was no question who the lead back was among
18:12Irving and Rashad White and Sean Tucker. Through four games last year, Irving was tied for third in running back touches with Jonathan Taylor and Josh Jacobs.
18:21And then he got hurt. And that's where the big question is for me, the curse of tiny bones.
18:27It is tough to handle that kind of workload at 195 pounds.
18:31And we had the foot that became a shoulder.
18:34As you remember, it was a foot injury. And then suddenly they're like, no, no, no, no.
18:40It's actually a really bad shoulder injury. And it stayed a shoulder injury because Irving would wind up having shoulder surgery this winter.
18:47But when he came back before the surgery, you know, he tried to come back and did for the final six games of the season.
18:55He did play fewer snaps because presumably he was hurt.
18:58But his workload went right back into the top 10.
19:02Now it's a new coordinator in Tampa. I'm not drawing all that many conclusions.
19:06But my feeling is, again, almost every backfield has competition.
19:09And I'm sorry. If you're terrified of Kenneth Gainwell and Sean Tucker, Sean Tucker, who when Irving was healthy last year, barely touched the ball.
19:17Boy, oh boy. Boy, I think you're terrified a lot.
19:21I think it's funny how Irving gets punished and Chase Brown, no problem.
19:25And Bajon Robinson, no problem. You know, I've said it a lot.
19:29I'm going to stop saying it now. Irving was the 13 pick last year.
19:33Remember, very early round two last year. And now he's sometimes a fifth rounder.
19:38Although I'll probably take him in the fourth. But, yeah, I just feel like we are getting now a pretty good size discount.
19:45And I wind up taking Bucky Irving a bunch.
19:48Number one. And my top flag player on the list for 2026.
19:52You don't say Zay Flowers. I swear I didn't just pick guys who have fun mixtapes.
19:57But it is Zay Flowers. He's a third round pick in almost every draft I do.
20:02So, again, is it possible to get Devante Smith and Zay Flowers on the same team?
20:08Maybe not. Here's my logic on why to put them both on the flag list.
20:12You get to choose your favorite. I'm not necessarily correct.
20:16Also, I have actually done Jameer Gibbs 1, Devante Smith 24, Zay Flowers 25.
20:20That has happened to me. But, you know, for the flag list, I don't really think you want me planting most of
20:27the flags in, like, the 10th round or the 14th round or whatever.
20:32That's just a really hard thing to hit on in a super impactful way.
20:36The really impactful players, obviously, are more likely to be earlier in the draft.
20:41So, you know, I'm going to have to wind up selecting.
20:44If I'm taking 10 guys, there's going to be several in rounds 3, 4, 5, 6.
20:49You know, there's just going to be some overlap.
20:52So, anyway, why do I put Flowers number 1 on the flag list compared to Smith when I have Smith a couple of spots higher?
21:00It's because Flowers tends to go a little bit later.
21:04So, I think he's slightly better value. I think you already know that I like Zay Flowers a bunch.
21:10Finishes wide receiver 8 last year with his quarterback limping around.
21:13He's another electric guy who doesn't have a lot of size.
21:17I think he's been snakebitten not to score more touchdowns.
21:20Feels like his career is a highlight reel of getting tackled at the 1 over and over.
21:26Yes, Derrick Henry steals the close-in stuff. There isn't a lot of overlap for anybody else.
21:31But a player as fast and quick as Flowers eventually, I think, is going to break through that 6-touchdown ceiling.
21:37It just seems small sample size. Every NFL season is a small sample size.
21:42And Lamar Jackson, have I said this recently? In the history of the NFL, nobody has a higher career average depth of target.
21:49He will push it downfield. I understand that defenses make that harder now.
21:53They're back to playing the too-deep shell and daring you to go on long drives.
21:58But Flowers isn't just a run-one-direction-deep threat. He's electric.
22:01He runs routes. He was second in the NFL last year in yards on play-action passes.
22:06Behind only last year's flag player breakout, JSN. I think there's some overlap between their games.
22:12I think touchdowns are pretty random. And I think that's the only thing that's been stopping Flowers from having a JSN-style explosion.
22:19And therefore, I think it's possible he does explode.
22:22We are sponsored again by Viore, makers of my favorite clothes on the planet and for the planet.
22:27Viore clothing, incredible for workout or for sports. If you go to the gym, play golf, play hoops, play tennis, anything, absolutely great.
22:35I work out in Viore basically every day. I'm wearing Banks shorts and a Stratotec tank this moment.
22:41Viore is also just great for hanging around, for lounging, reading in the morning, walking the dog.
22:46I have never gotten a piece of Viore clothing I didn't absolutely love.
22:50And I have a lot of Viore clothing. Whenever I go out with someone who knows the show, they'll be like, uh-oh, got any Viore on you?
22:59And I'm always like, sure do. These clothes are made with recycled material.
23:03They feel great. They look great. Top end. Get a pair of joggers for the wife.
23:08She will love them. Check out everything they've got at V-U-O-R-I dot com slash Harris.
23:13You'll get 20% off if you use the code Harris for your first purchase.
23:18Viore.com slash Harris for 20% off. Seriously, try these clothes.
23:21Viore.com slash Harris. Today's guest. The dude's a trash bag in my book.
23:25Trash bags in paradise. He's the lemon flavored Italian ice.
23:29In my mind, he's already out of the NFL.
23:31Nothing to like. I'm ashamed of myself. Mom, I love you.
23:35Mom, he loves you. Josh, that walk-up song from Samoan Football, who doesn't listen to the show anymore, but did for many years.
23:42That dates to 2015. How does that make you feel?
23:46It was the beginning days, man. That was when I was an emerging star.
23:50I wasn't quite a household name just yet, but it was the beginnings.
23:54It's part of my origin story. So it's always great to hear a throwback.
23:59Do you? So I played that because it was a request from one of the winners, Jason, who I Zoomed with on Monday.
24:06One of the pound foolish winners said, you know, I really would love to hear the Batman walk up for Josh this week.
24:14And he didn't say this week. I offered it.
24:17And I was glad to do it. He was lovely to talk to.
24:21And what I'll really say is how your voice has not changed at all.
24:25Like it could have been recorded yesterday. It's funny.
24:28Is my voice supposed to change at this age?
24:31Like from like 30 whatever to 44? Yeah. I bet you if you listen to me, I bet you it's I'm a little deeper now.
24:39Usually you get a little more. They call it stentorian.
24:43You know, you get a little more gravity in your voice.
24:46Yeah. I bet you if you listened to 2015, you'd be like.
24:50I'd probably a little higher, a little faster. Look, it's the early days.
24:54It's like, you know, Leonardo DiCaprio, Romeo, Juliet, basketball diaries.
24:58You were right there, right in the pocket for right from the very beginning with your lemon flavored Italian ice.
25:04Carlos Hyde out of the NFL. And then, of course, in a subsequent trash bag walk up, he can banana bread, banana bread Hyde.
25:12We had trash bags for many years in a row, like six years in a row or something like that.
25:18I believe 20. The last one was because Simone football was out.
25:22And then I can't remember. I'm sorry. I don't remember who kept sending them in.
25:27But the last one was Queso Fendido in 2022.
25:30So, like. I forgot about that. Yeah. Queso Fendido.
25:33Dr. Mike. All right. Well, people have heard the flag players now.
25:37They've gotten all the good into their system. And now you can inject a little bad.
25:42And let's face it. Who would you want to inject bad into your system more than the Prince of Darkness, Cousin Josh?
25:49Because I'll tell you, the flag list last year.
25:52I mean, the flag list had JSN on it.
25:55We all made a lot of money on JSN.
25:58It fortunately overlooked a lot of other sins. But it wasn't that good last year.
26:03I would, you know, compared to the two previous years, it was bad.
26:07Because the two previous years, the flag list absolutely rocked.
26:10And I'll own up to it. Chuba Hubbard is still staring me in the face.
26:15You, on the other hand, last year. Holy moly.
26:18The flag players for last year. Four for five.
26:21And this is hard. This is hard to, like...
26:24I mean, granted, you're not picking first-round guys. But, like, it's hard to pick a fourth-round player, a sixth-round player, and be like, garbage.
26:31That guy's garbage. You got four out of five garbage.
26:35The only one you missed was DeAndre Swift. You had Xavier Worthy.
26:38Garbage. You had Caleb Johnson. Garbage. You had Baker Mayfield.
26:42Garbage. You're number one. I probably, like, my jaw hit the desk last year.
26:46And it probably didn't, because we don't draft tight ends.
26:49But Brock Bowers... Where did Brock Bowers get... Can you remind me?
26:53Where did he get picked last year? I think he was in that turn, that 12-13 area.
26:59Another generational talent. I think he was before... I think he was, like, people were taking him 10.
27:05I think he was a first-round pick all the way.
27:08Like, of course, he could get to the turn in some drafts.
27:12When there were Harris listeners in the draft who would pass on him.
27:16But, yeah. You fragged Bowers as a first-rounder. And, you know, of course, he was on my bust list, too.
27:22And it's not that we didn't think he's good.
27:25And it's not... It's just we're never going to take the guy there.
27:30That was your main thing. Your speech last year was like, I'm not telling you Bowers is a terrible player.
27:36I'm saying it's a terrible idea to take him where he's going.
27:40Anyway, great job last year. A lot to live up to.
27:44Any thoughts before we start fragging these players? Yeah.
27:46Look, I'm very proud of that. I think Worthy was, like, an end-of-three pick.
27:51And Caleb was, like, a 5-6. So I feel really good about that.
27:55Last things I'll just typically say is, like, it's not the easiest thing to do.
28:00And there's so many variables still for another two weeks.
28:03I try to give myself... I try not to go past, like, round six or seven usually, unless it's something completely off.
28:10And I try to at least pick a few guys in the round three, four, five area.
28:16Yeah. You know, I have my thoughts on this.
28:19And I also try, this year specifically, I really tried to not do too much injury-related.
28:24I only think there might be one. But I was off of this guy beforehand.
28:29So I'll probably kick things off when we do do it with this person five, which I know you're not going to
28:36be on either based on your ranking. Yeah. I mean, as far as I remember, and I remember terribly, I don't think
28:43any of the guys last year you picked were injury guys.
28:47Of course, Worthy would turn out to be. Mayfield would turn out to be.
28:51Bowers would turn out to be. But that wasn't why you picked them.
28:55So that just makes it all the more impressive.
28:58When I looked up the list, because, you know, I always look up your old lists to tell you beforehand so you
29:05either maybe don't pick the same guys or at least you remember your thought process or whatever.
29:11When we looked at this one from last year, we were like, holy moly, this is one of your best performances ever.
29:18Let's see if you can top it. Who's your number five frag player for 2026?
29:23All right. I'll get this one out of the way because there are some injuries related, but you and I were off
29:30Jeremiah Love even before any of that started. His real-time ADP, Chris, is still 28, which places him in the early part of round three.
29:38Still going as RB14. Again, don't want this to be an injury podcast, but you look at some of the round one
29:45picks, I should say, like the round one running backs over the last four or five years.
29:51And even when they finished well, like think about Jameer Gibbs in 2023, they're not smooth rides, right?
29:56And that you're talking about someone right now is a superstar.
30:00People also liken this situation to Gentty last year who finished, what, 15?
30:04I don't think it's pretty similar. You talked a little bit about it, I think, when we were doing the YouTube draft with Gentty.
30:12Like the percentage of touches he got in that backfield last year, 315, I think, between 266 and my math is a little off, 311.
30:20He got like, what, 80% of the touches there?
30:23A lot different in terms of competition. He's already dinged up.
30:27They have Tyler Algier, who we just watched take carries away from Bajon Robinson, who's going to probably be the two pick
30:34in most drafts, has 1,000 yards under a season.
30:37They have an absurd first 11 games, the Cardinals.
30:40I know you and I are not going to fight about schedule, but I know you will at least agree that the Cardinals are not a good team.
30:49Coming out of the gates, double-digit underdogs ready to charge in Seattle.
30:52The last thing I'm going to say, Chris, too, is this.
30:56A lot of talk about using them in the passing game.
31:00I hear the same thing about McBride and Wilson and Harrison.
31:03I'm also working on another theory, Chris, which I think I've alluded to.
31:07At some point, these NFL teams are going to do what these loser teams do in the NBA, and I'm telling you
31:14as a loser fan of the Utah Jazz, I know how this works.
31:19One of your investments gets dinged up, and you're already sitting there, and you're like, well, we're only 1-9 anyway.
31:25And I'm not saying they're just going to sit, guys.
31:28But all of a sudden, a Larry Markin and groin injury is like, ah, maybe you want to sit down.
31:35A Jaron Jackson deviated septum. You want that nose surgery?
31:38So these things happen all the time. And when you're 1-9 and Carson Beck is in there, and you've used the top
31:45five pick on this guy, what is the use of playing him?
31:49I'm out on him. I know he's your RB22.
31:52He's my RB24. I couldn't consider him until probably that 5-6 turn.
31:56There's just too many other running backs that I think that don't have this many warts and issues and concerns with the team.
32:03So the Cardinals offense came up on Thursday's, yesterday's show with Matt Harmon as like, well, what if, you know, there's a
32:10lot built into the ranks where people are thinking that the Cardinals aren't very good.
32:15And what if they're okay? You know, what if they're fine?
32:19What does that do? Do we regret not hyping up these potentially very athletic receivers who, you know, have been pretty disappointing in their careers?
32:27And, you know, the only reason, let's face it, you and I both know Jeremiah Love is generational.
32:33Although every generation, he's generational for like gypsy moths because they come around every year.
32:38If people didn't think the Cardinals were going to stink, where do you think Jeremiah Love would be getting drafted?
32:44It would be 12. It would be 10. It would be a swing pick.
32:49It would be where Gentie went with Gentie. It was going five in some drafts by the end of last year because people can't help themselves.
32:57And so in some regards, you know me, I always kind of want to buck the trend and say, well, you know,
33:04if you're making players cheaper than they should be because you're positive the team's going to be bad, then yada yada.
33:11People know my speech. In this case, the prevailing wind to accelerate the rookie, you know, is much stronger than the wind to decelerate the Cardinals.
33:19And that's how he's still somehow with a high ankle sprain somehow to a top of round three pick.
33:26And I said to Matt, like, maybe this will wind up, you know, like bringing his ADP into reason a little bit.
33:33And Matt's like, I'm watching it in real time on Yahoo.
33:36It's not moving at all. It has gone down like in the last couple days, a couple of spots, but it is
33:43very clear that people are still on. And I understand why you're not because I'm not either.
33:49What's your number four? I guess we'll start with some comedy.
33:52I mean, the order really doesn't make a difference.
33:55We'll go with Jack Dart. I talked a little bit about him, I think, in the Almanac, as well as his, you know, his stepbrother boy, Cam Scadaboo.
34:04But we'll go with Jackson Dart today. Chris, I know it's very in vogue to bet on these Russian quarterbacks.
34:11And I got friends that think this dude's still going to be dating Sidney Sweeney at some point.
34:17Neither of these are happening in 2026 or anytime soon.
34:20I have him as my QB 16. He's going in the 80s still as like a end of round seven pick.
34:27And it just feels like this is based solely off of those 14 games when he ran in nine touchdowns in the 487.
34:34You're with me, I know, on this. I read the Almanac.
34:38I'm still unsure if he's a good passer, which I'm pretty sure is probably the most important part of thing of being an NFL quarterback.
34:46And you still have to do it to put up fantasy points, right?
34:50Right. Statue quarterbacks, everyone teases them when we see Goff and Stafford do these top six seasons pretty much every year.
34:57The guy cracked 200 yards in six games. The other thing too, Chris, is that no one ever talks about this as an injury risk with him.
35:06Like this guy's in the medical tent. I saw some tweet, like almost 40% of his starts, I think when you factor in preseason as well.
35:14They add in Matt Nagy, who just an absolute nightmare, what he did in Chicago, then sent off to the Chiefs.
35:21Didn't do the greatest in the last couple of years.
35:24Here we are now. It's also like no one is factoring in what that receiving core looks like too, where they have Malik neighbors.
35:32We're not exactly sure what that's going to look like.
35:35Cam Scadaboo's recovering from an injury. Jim Hardballs is in there.
35:39And everyone I know loves to kind of like, and this is like, yeah, man, well, he had Lamar.
35:45And like, look what that did for Lamar. First of all, Lamar Jackson also didn't really run the ball at the goal line.
35:52Like you look at his rushing TDs. They're like three, four, three, four.
35:56I think Chris, when you look at where he's going ADP wise, forget the quarterbacks, like picks after him, like Blake Corum.
36:03Like I'd rather bet on a guy like a Godwin or Kittle or even Jordan Mason, not to mention quarterbacks going after him, Stafford, Goff, Purdy.
36:12Bo Nix is probably what you're hoping for if you're taking dart and you can get these guys later.
36:18I think there's no like risk built into this.
36:21And it's all like, if his ceiling hits, he's going as QB nine.
36:25And that's where you're drafting. It just seems wild to me to use an early, you know, early eight round seven pick
36:32on Jackson dart on that offense with all these variables, the injury risk.
36:36I'm just completely out until I could see, you know, at least six, seven, eight games in them.
36:42Yeah. Everybody listening knows that I obviously agree. I have him QB 16.
36:46He's the surf movie bad guy. Pretty funny that in the preseason game, he does something kamikaze right away and gets gobsmacked
36:54and they have to send him the blue tent.
36:56It turned out, at least they say, and I probably believe that it wasn't a concussion, but just shows you that the survival instincts, survival instincts, not good.
37:06A kitten in traffic, you might say. Yeah. Great Johnny Lawrence vibes.

38:08Ridge.com. Use that code Harris. Okay, we're back with Josh.
38:11We are counting down Josh's frag players for 2026.
38:14It's a pointless countdown. The order doesn't matter, but it matters, Josh, so much.
38:18Bite your tongue before the break for saying that it doesn't matter.
38:22It doesn't matter at all, but it absolutely matters.
38:25Who's your number three? I feel like this one's going to sadden you, although when I give my rationale, you'll go, no, I get it.
38:33I put Harold Fannin down, and it's not because I don't like the player.
38:38So I want to preface this by saying, Chris, I love him in Dynasty.
38:42I actually tried to trade for him last night.
38:45Couldn't get him. Not because I love him this year, but long term, I really am impressed by him.
38:51I think he's phenomenal after the catch. I think he's so difficult to tackle.
38:56Great rookie season coming off those, you know, 731 yards and the 72 catches.
39:00I know Todd Munkin's a tight end friendly coach.
39:03Again, this is one of these, I think that's kind of ADP and you and I have a way that we draft tight ends.
39:11If I can get an amazing deal on a Bowers or McBride, sure.
39:15I get it. I drafted McBride last year in the mid fourth.
39:19It was awesome. But when I look and I see his real-time ADP is pick 74, and he's going before players like
39:26Carnell Tate and even guys I don't love like DK Metcalf or, you know, Brian Thomas, first, second, third.
39:32You don't even have to use the junior, Chris Wilson, Cortland Sutton, like Jonathan Brooks.
39:37Like there were players here who I could think really could influence your fantasy season.
39:42And to be someone who wants to use an early seven round pick when Dallas Goddard's going 40 picks later, like your
39:49boy Brenton Strange, 80 picks later, Juwan Johnson, 70.
39:52You can get George Kittle a round and a half later.
39:56I just think that that's not the way I'm going to draft my team.
40:00I think from a team perspective, a little bit more target competition.
40:04I know they're rookies, but people are raving about Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston.
40:09There's capital on them as pick 24 and 39.
40:12So I think that the target volume could be a little bit different.
40:16And that quarterback situation, whether it's Watson or Sanders, Dylan Gabriel, probably get thrown in there for some comedy.
40:22I don't know. It just seems like a ton to pay.
40:26And whether it's him, like you could have put pits on this.
40:29I would have been fine with it. It just seemed like that right in that area where any of those tight ends,
40:37not named the first two that I'm not getting a good deal on.
40:41I'm just waiting. Like I'm not going to reach for Fannin.
40:44I'm not going to be the one reaching for Kraft.
40:48I know Laporta got dinged today. I just think that's a bad way to spend these round six, round seven picks.
40:54Yeah, Kraft fell out of that group for me with the comments about how, yeah, maybe by mid-season I'll be off.
41:01I saw that. I'm like, okay, I'm out. So, I mean, it's good that...
41:06I don't feel like Fannin is a must-buy or anything like that, but I actually don't hate that price.
41:12It depends on your league format. If you're talking half PPR, I would say that the Laporta, Warren, Loveland, Fannin, that's probably
41:19the group of four that comes after, in whatever order you want, that comes after the two guys.
41:25I sometimes get one. If everybody's waiting on tight end, I sometimes get one.
41:29And I understand what you mean to say, like, yeah, but four rounds later you can find Brenton Strange.
41:35And I'm like, yes. But I do have ranks and I usually just do like to stick to my board.
41:42And so if one of those guys is the highest guy left on my board, I just...
41:47I do... And usually I think it's Laporta. We'll see if there winds up being anything extra behind this injury.
41:54Or maybe we won't see and maybe we'll just be terrified.
41:57But I mean 70, right around 70 is where I would be comfortable.
42:02And to be honest, there are some places where those...
42:05Well, Loveland is way gone. Warren is way gone.
42:08The question is Laporta and Fannin. And I have them all the same.
42:12And I'll just say that's one where I'm not calling bust.
42:16I'm not... For that price, you know, we'll call it a sixth or maybe a seventh round pick.
42:21I'm actually okay with those two guys at that price.
42:25But you're not. And that's your list. So... And I'm glad your main reason wasn't I'm positive the Browns are going to suck.
42:32No. I know it like... It has to factor into us a little bit.
42:37Nobody's sitting here thinking the Cleveland offense is top 10.
42:40And so, like, it matters. It matters that Fannin isn't matched with a good quarterback.
42:45That we know of. I don't think either of those guys is good.
42:49Other stuff that you're saying... Yeah. Go ahead. I was going to say, I really was close to putting Kraft on this for the same thing.
42:57I have him in the same tier as you with Laporta and Kraft and him.
43:02But it felt like I was taking an easy way out with this stuff.
43:07I was like, yeah, you know, we should be able to ramp him up.
43:11And I'm like, all right. I don't want to use that as part of it.
43:16But, yeah, it's the same thing. I wouldn't be using...
43:19I lowered Kraft. I lowered him a lot. He's not in that tier anymore for me.
43:24Now I have him next to Brenton Strange, Jawan Johnson, Kyle Pitts.
43:28It's like, I'm... I had going into the... If people open the almanac, he's listed as my tight end three.
43:35And they were all next to each other. But he was my choice of that group.
43:40He was awesome when he was... Before he got hurt last year.
43:44In that little stretch, he was awesome. And we love him being a full-time tight end.
43:49You know, he doesn't come off the field kind of guy.
43:53But now, you know, I just... I don't need to be playing Salvation Army on guys who are like, Yeah, they're telling
44:00me I'm probably not going to play that much.
44:03You know, okay. I did a double take at your rankings.
44:06Because I was like, wait, Kraft is seven now?
44:09Because I was like, if I put Kraft in this, I'll just have to fight with Chris.
44:15Because I know he has him as three. And I was like, wait, oh, he has him seven too.
44:21So it's like, all right. Yeah, down. All right.
44:24Who's your number two frag guy? All right. You call him the Sprinter Soldier.
44:28Oh. Hold on. I call him Bucky Turding. I mean, buddy.
44:32I know. This might be the first time it's ever happened.
44:35I know what you're going to say. He's a flag player.
44:39He's a flag player? Yeah. Wow. And I thought about it.
44:42And I was like, I know when I put this on here, I said, Chris is going to have him as a flag player.
44:50And I'll give you my thoughts. And again, I think by week three or week four, one of us is going to be really right.
44:58And we're going to go, well, of course. Yeah.
45:01I mean, like he wasn't healthy last year and now Wirfs is back and it's a healthier team.
45:07And it's like, or we're going to go, oh yeah, this, we kind of saw this coming at the end of last year.
45:14But I'll give you my take because I already know that you went through some flag players.
45:20You touched on the Almanacs with the tiny bones stuff at the end.
45:24And it's like, you know, I think this is going to be a make or break it season.
45:30What we do with Bucky moving forward, 5'10", 195 frame.
45:33He came back from that injury right last year and he just didn't have that explosiveness.
45:38Obviously dinged up. Who knows if he was healthy?
45:41I think those six games that we saw him, including the playoffs, like just one rushing touchdown.
45:47I know we're not yards per carry gurus on this show, but when you, you know, you fail to average four in any of those games.
45:55I know the volume was there, but like, man, zero rushing attempts within the five yard line last year at any point.
46:02Tucker had nine, Rashid White, Rashid White, Rashad White had eight.
46:06I just get really concerned a little bit about the usage, a little about his ability to stand up in that explosiveness.
46:13I think you can basically say the Rashad White work is probably going to be taken over with Gainwell.
46:19And I don't think you're going to sit here and say, yeah, you don't disagree.
46:24I also don't think you sit here and just say, oh, well, Gainwell's there.
46:29That's the end of it for, for Bucky Irving.
46:31I'm not saying that, but I do think you're going to say he's going to be caught 73 balls.
46:38They're bringing him in to catch balls. And again, I think Sean Tucker's going away.
46:42I don't know what the Zach Robinson offense looks like.
46:46I saw the Tyler Algier stuff last year with a talented running back and he had no problem playing him near the goal line.
46:53I have an issue again where I like Bucky, but I think he's more in that Jalen Warren, Stevenson area who are
47:01going at like 68, 75 and he's still going off as a round four player.
47:05Yeah. He's not going at 12 to 15 like last year, but you're not getting much of a discount.
47:12I know. And that's the thing for me. I don't think you're getting that much of a discount.
47:17You and I will differ on him. I just think there's a ton of risk.
47:22Okay. I mean, I understand your perspective on everything you said, except for that last part.
47:27That's just wrong. You are absolutely getting me in a disc.
47:31You said he went 12 last year and now he's going 46 or 48.
47:36Or I mean, I called him a fit. I'm fudging by calling him a fifth round pick.
47:41Like if get him in the early fifth grade.
47:44It's end of four, early five. Yeah. Like, how is that not a discount?
47:49It is by definition a discount. It's, it's, there's a reason behind it.
47:53There's your, the discount is happening because people got scared by him being small and getting hurt last year, but it is a discount.
48:00It's a huge discount. I think he belongs. Here's the thing.
48:04I looked at where you have him ranked. My ranking with him is way more with those guys like, um, like Montgomery
48:11and Warren and Stevenson and that group. And I think those guys are more like round six picks because I think you've
48:18moved so far away from the mic that we're stopping, starting to lose you.
48:23No, I'm saying I haven't ranked more with Warren and Stevenson and that group of guys.
48:28And I just kind of don't have him in that, not as close as the, that Kyron group at like the three,
48:35but I just think he's more of a rank 24 to 25 back.
48:39And I know you and me are going to differ because I just don't think that explosiveness and that, and those group
48:46of guys that he's with are going to give him that ability to excel to a high end RB two or potentially an RB one.
48:55So I'm out on them. Yeah. I'm not trying to convince you to be in on them.
49:00I understand where you're coming from. I think all those reasons are reasons that everybody now uses to pick on a running back they've decided not to like.
49:09And the, that, the reasons being, well, look at all those other players.
49:13There's so many other running backs. The people who don't like Kyron say, look at Blake Corum, but they don't look at
49:20Bijan and say, look at Brian Robinson. I'm going to tell you right now, Brian Robinson is getting 30% of the carries.
49:28He is just, that's what happens. You know, they look at, um, they look at Jalen Warren and they go, I'd love
49:35to love him, but Rico Dowdle's in the way they look at, you know what I'm saying?
49:40Like, I don't find it to be an original thought, I guess I would say to say, wow, that you mean you're kidding.
49:48There are other running backs on that roster. Uh huh.
49:51Interesting. You know, like the fact is Buck Yirving, I'm not telling you you're wrong.
49:56I'm saying, I don't think that's a great reason.
49:59Buck Yirving, when he was healthy was a 20 plus touch guy every single week.
50:03Even when he came back and he needed shoulder surgery, but hadn't had it yet.
50:0820 touches a game. I just, I don't really think now they could change.
50:13They might, if they decide, um, we've been, we've been slapped upside the head because we made a big mistake in trying
50:20to over rely on this guy and it's time to turn into more like of a 10 to 15 touch guy, then I'm biffing it.
50:28There's no question. Um, it's tough to know usage beforehand.
50:31And I think what maybe this comes down to is you just, you're worried that might happen.
50:37Yeah. And that's what I was about to ask you.
50:40I was going to say, I don't know if you're going to get the divine H and situation where it's tiny bones,
50:47but they're fine giving him this workload and he's held up.
50:51And that's something I'm factoring into, which is, I don't know behind the scenes, none of us work with the bucks.
50:57So it's like, we're not going to know. Are they sitting here saying like, look, part of the reason this guy got
51:05dinged up and he wasn't what he was in year one and didn't have the explosiveness is he can't handle this.
51:11Pay the price. And I know you and I differ.
51:15You're saying, yeah, it's a massive discount. It's three rounds different this year.
51:19And I'm saying it should be more like five.
51:22Yeah. I mean, yeah. You're saying you want more of a discount to take him, but it is a discount.
51:28You have to admit it is just, Oh, it's a discount.
51:32I think this is the first time it's ever happened.
51:35I would have to go back and look, but I don't remember a time.
51:40And you did, you thought he might be a flag player, but I didn't talk about him on Thursday.
51:46I talked about him today. So you haven't heard me talk about him today.
51:50Uh, that is, that is something. Um, I looked at your ranks and I was like, I think, yeah, he's number two on the list.
51:58Uh, I've said all I, all I need to say.
52:02And I don't think your argument, I mean, I don't love the argument that I'm worried about the other guys.
52:08Cause I just think everybody has other guys. Certainly anybody, any running back you're taking in the fourth or fifth round has other guys.
52:16Come on. You know, um, like quinch on Judkins.
52:19We're all, Oh, quinch on Judkins full bore. No problem.
52:22Yeah. Dylan Sims is going to play most third downs, you know?
52:26So like everybody's got a guy, but I understand your other points.
52:30And the tiny bones part is very nervous. The red zone stuff concerns me as well.
52:35I know your point is, again, you could take some TDs in from 25, 30.
52:40If he has that explosiveness, you don't need those goal line touches.
52:44Barkley doesn't get all those goal line touches either.
52:47So I get it. Right. Yeah. He's a, I mean, that's my point on Irving is man, he's a monster, but he
52:54is small to do what he does. And if he gets hurt again, it blows up in my face.
53:00Hopefully you don't have him. You don't have anybody.
53:03I picked as a flag player for your number one.
53:06Who is your number one? I know. I know for a fact you don't.
53:10And I probably could have done this guy as five and you know who it's going to be because I've been pooping all over this dude.
53:19Can I, can I say it before? Can I say it?
53:22It's rushy rice. Chris. I don't know, man. This guy's ADP is 30.
53:27He's going as wide receiver 12. I have him wide receiver 26.
53:31This is probably the only player that is completely off board for me.
53:35Like no matter where he gets to, I can't draft him.
53:38Again, I know he's off board because there's no chance that he's going to get to round six or seven where I would even consider him.
53:47It's just amazing to me during my entire career, Chris, playing fantasy football.
53:51I thought about this. He is the only person who gets this much positive praise with zero results.
53:57Like this has been going on for three years.
54:00He's never broken a thousand yards. He's got absurd off the field issues with jail time.
54:05I would Hollywood comp him to Shia LaBeouf. Like this is the Shia LaBeouf of wide receivers, Chris.
54:11Then we get, then we have Pat Mahomes who KO'd this dude.
54:15We don't even talk about the injury. Like he was Bill Goldberg, WWE, just speared him, knocked him out.
54:21He's got an off the field scope again this year.
54:24He's rehabbing in jail. And we're like, oh yeah, man, who cares?
54:28He's like, wide receiver one. The guy comes out.
54:31It's just, it's, we just make any excuse for him on earth.
54:35He does 571 yards last year. We're like, nah, it's cool.
54:38Yeah. Just project that for 17 games. Here's my question for you, Chris.
54:42We do all these amazing projections for Rashi Rice.
54:45How come no one goes ahead and goes, Christian Watson, do the exact same thing for him and put him in round three.
54:53Like he goes 36 picks later. He's never done it.
54:56He's hurt. But at least we factor in the risks for him and we go, well, he's got these bionic legs and
55:03he's learned how to run and he got cool plasma treatment.
55:07So we're going to make him in the sixties or seventies, but not Rashi Rice.
55:11Who's just consistently had off the field problems every single year.
55:15And I know the reason it's because he has a chief's helmet on.
55:19If this guy was doing, you know, the stuff that Calvin Ridley was doing or any of these other guys who have
55:26off the field issues, it'd be absurd. You need a perfect ride with this guy.
55:31And what's incredible is like, you look at the string of receivers that go after him.
55:36It's like Devonta Smith, like Zay Flowers and Higgins and like neighbors.
55:40Like I'd rather bet on neighbors. At least I've seen him do this.
55:44And he's an extreme talent. And I'd rather bet on him being healthy than a slant merchant who's got all these different issues off the field.
55:53And people go, man, but dude, it's Pat Mahomes.
55:56I don't know. The same people are saying this and putting Pat Mahomes is what the QB 15, 17.
56:02So none of this makes sense to me. I'm completely out, completely off board.
56:06Want nothing to do with Rashi Rice. Yeah, me too.
56:10Very, very clearly agree. And another one I brought up yesterday with Matt was a sub like, because I'm making the assumption
56:17that the Chiefs are not suddenly rebounding and being amazing after really all of last year, not being amazing.
56:23And you could argue half of the previous year, they go to the Super Bowl, but didn't feel like that offense was
56:30humming by the time they got there. Where, if I'm, if we're, you know, Matt and I, we kind of commiserated.
56:37We're both building in like reasonable expectations for the Chiefs.
56:40But the market doesn't seem to be when it comes to Ken Walker or Rashi Rice.
56:45And I said that to Matt and Matt goes, now hold on, Ken Walker, I'm love.
56:50And I'm like, oh, you and cousin Josh need to do a podcast together.
56:55Uh, but, but it's what, what was occurring to me was, um, it couldn't be all situation you're freaked about because I
57:02know you would take Walker at 12 or 13 maybe.
57:05So it's, it's not all situation. It's also Rice himself.
57:09It's Rice himself. Like I think Kenneth Walker in the middle of the second, like his ADP is 19.
57:15Like that's completely fine to me. Like, I think you could start talking about him and, you know, depending the formats in the middle of the second.
57:24And it's like, I'm fine with that. But it's just, it's not where he goes though.
57:29He goes. Well, I think you have now experts pushing him up into that turn, right?
57:34Like these drafts, but in standard, I'd say in half PPR, he's what?
57:38Looking really quickly right now. I can't find it.
57:41Yeah. 17. Yeah. Yeah. 17. But I, all I know is he's never there.
57:46He's never there at 17 when I'm drafting right now with, with all these wise guys.
57:51But anyway, this isn't about Walker. I brought it up just by way of saying you're, you're concerned about the chiefs, but clearly you're okay with Walker.
57:59So it, this is a lot more about rice himself and, and it is a, it's a PPR scam.
58:06Matt said it yesterday. You know, he's, he's the lowest, he's going to have the lowest ADOT in the league.
58:12It's going to be a 3.2 or whatever. It's gonna be a bunch of screens and slants.
58:18And, you know, Amon Ra makes it work, but like it's, it's, he not Amon Ra.
58:23Yeah. He's not. And I still haven't seen it yet, Chris.
58:26Again, it's just such small sample sizes. Well, his rookie year was pretty good.
58:31I mean, it was almost a thousand yard, seven touchdowns.
58:34If, if somebody does a thousand yard, seven touchdowns now in, in today's NFL, three years later, that's, that's wide receiver, like
58:4117, which is, that's the real problem with receiver right there.
58:45That just, how many guys are going to get it to a thousand yards?
58:49It's not going to be that many. And how many of those are going to have more than like four or five
58:56touchdowns, even fewer that, that position is a mess.
58:59Truly a mess. I mean, it's, it's a, it's a mess in that there's so many good players that they, that the production is just crazy spread out.
59:08But unless like maybe you and I will convene in a month and talk about, can you believe what they're using, using
59:15Rishi Rice now, man, it's play action. It's he's running seam routes.
59:19He's going down the field. We're going to feel foolish, but that is not.
59:24Yeah. Call me when that happens. Yeah. I haven't seen this guy do it yet.
59:29And ever since Pat Mahomes speared him, I don't know, man.
59:32All right. Well, I am the, the real shock on there was that you had a flag player on there, not knowingly,
59:39but real shock that we came at it from a completely different perspective, but that's good.
59:45That's like, that's a creative friction as they say.
59:47So now people have no idea what to do with Bucky Irving.
59:51Choose your side. No idea. This show is completely in the middle on Bucky Irving because one person thinks they're the number two value on the board.
60:00And one person's like, I wouldn't touch him if his hair was on fire.
60:05All right. Well, very fun. Good job. When I speak to you next week, I will have freshly returned from my sojourn
60:12out in the great world meeting folks. So next week, what the heck do we do with you next week?
60:18You're around, right? You're on vacation. I'm here. I'm here.
60:21Oh no. Next week is warp zone. Come on.
60:24Warp zone. Give me some Mario brothers. I'm in on that.
60:28All right. Well, we're going to get warped with Josh next week.
60:32Thanks for doing it. Always a pleasure. And thank you so much for listening.
60:36Let me thank the sponsors that made the show possible dose and Viori and Ridge.
60:41If you were interested in anything I had to say about today's sponsors, their information is in the show notes.
60:48All the current sponsors are listed at Harris football.com.
60:51If you don't currently have a need for any of our sponsors or you don't have the means totally understandable.
60:57So happy to have you listening. If you can see your way through to using codes and URLs, that's how this whole thing keeps going.
61:05The sponsors are what keeps the show going. I appreciate how much ownership you've taken of the show over the years and picked sponsors when you could.
61:14And that's why they come back. I appreciate you so much.
61:17So the last remaining order of business for this week is to pick a winner.
61:22Another pound foolish pre-orderer has won. I've done another random drawing.
61:26I'm getting very familiar with the random number generator that the Google search engine contains.
61:31And we still don't have all that many entries.
61:34Like I think the quest for the bestseller list.
61:37I don't know. I don't want to give up hope.
61:40Maybe everybody's like just keeps forgetting. Here we are at the end of the show and you're working out or you're driving.
61:47I'm reminding you pre-order. Send me a, send me a screenshot, get bribed.
61:51Um, but yeah, we haven't sold enough books. Um, but anyway, who cares?
61:55A lot of people have bought it and I appreciate it and hopefully many people will once we get past the pre-order area too.
62:03Anyway, the winner of a Zoom session with me, probably, hopefully either on Friday or Saturday because otherwise I'm going to be indisposed.
62:11It is Gerald Gibbons who I have already emailed probably by the time Gerald has heard me say his name, but, uh, congratulations.
62:18A Zoom session with me. Remember, there's still several prizes to come.
62:22We've got two more weeks of this and the big one is going to be someone gets to come on the show
62:29and actually talk with me on the show. You can interview me for a few minutes, uh, on the podcast.
62:35So boy, oh boy. I mean, clearly need to get, get on that.
62:40Uh, all you have to do is go to HarrisFootball.com.
62:43Look up pound foolish. There's links to places where you can pre-order the reason it matters to pre-order at non Amazon sites is the other sites.
62:51All they told all the sales of pre-orders up until the first week.
62:55And so after the book launches, it's just a weekly bestseller list, but before the book launches, anything you get before that
63:03first week all counts in the first week. So we were trying, I don't know, maybe we'll still get there.
63:09Maybe, maybe y'all come through and order, you know, a thousand books between now and the end of the month.
63:16Probably not given how it's gone, but I love you anyway.
63:19You're the best. And Gerald, congratulations. We will zoom.
63:22That's going to do it for this week. You've heard the flag players, but there's many more to come.
63:28Bunch of lists next week. I know we're doing busts.
63:31We just talked about warp zone. Super deep sleepers is coming.
63:35It's going to be an awesome week and most of it's going to be done from hotel rooms.
63:41We'll see how that goes and make sure please do come out and see me on the tour.
63:47Until then, thanks again so much for listening. Your hat is awesome.
63:50You're awesome for wearing it. Hope you have a great weekend.
63:54I will talk to you next time. The Harris football podcast opening theme is under the gun by Apex Manor.
64:01The closing theme is say yes by the Wellspring.
