Alec Pierce

NegativeBust70:23

The source is avoiding Alec Pierce due to an offseason ankle surgery that limited his preseason and concerns about the Giants' offense. The source notes that Pierce is a high-variance player who relies on big plays and deep targets, which makes him an undesirable fantasy asset.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection55:15

Despite being drafted in the 11th round as a result of league-wide collusion against the drafter, the source believes Bryce Young will probably be pretty good.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeProjection6:35

The source expresses mixed feelings on CeeDee Lamb at his current ADP of 10. While acknowledging he could lead the NFL in receiving categories, the source notes he has only had one truly elite season and questions his utilization given the presence of George Pickens, who the source suggests might be a better overall receiver.

Insight page
PositiveValue67:08

Paired with Jonathan Taylor in a hypothetical early-round strategy, CeeDee Lamb is highlighted as a foundational piece that allows for greater flexibility in later rounds.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeValue28:46

Despite injury concerns and missing practice time, the source argues McCaffrey is a league-winning pick in the third round. He is described as a high-volatility player, but the potential for a massive ceiling makes him worth the risk for managers playing to win rather than just avoid last place.

Insight page
NegativeInjury28:48

The source views Christian McCaffrey as a high-volatility player. While acknowledging he is a potential league-winner, the source notes he has not practiced in weeks and remains a source of frustration for drafters due to his high cost and uncertainty regarding his contract and health status.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeRole68:56

The source views Courtland Sutton as an average, boring veteran whose role could be threatened by younger receivers in the Sean Payton offense. With Sutton now 31 and Jalen Waddle added to the mix, the source fears he is in his 'last old man push' season and prefers other options.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

PositiveUsage13:31

The source identifies Devon Achane as a risky second-round pick due to the Dolphins' poor offensive environment. Concerns include the team's potential to be the worst in the league, a likely decrease in offensive play volume, and uncertainty regarding his target share compared to last year's 85 targets.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeRole20:04

The source is skeptical of Drake London as a second-round pick due to the uncertainty surrounding the Falcons' quarterback situation. While they believe London could be elite with Michael Penix, they fear Penix may not play a full season due to injury history, forcing a return to Tua, which the source views as a negative for London's fantasy value.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeBust53:22

The source is down on Fannin due to the Browns' quarterback situation. Deshaun Watson's play is described as having 'borderline yips,' and the lack of indoor games for the Browns late in the season further diminishes the appeal of their pass-catchers.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeUsage67:43

The source notes that Jameson Williams' starting viability is highly dependent on league size and starting requirements; in 10-team leagues with only two starting receivers, he may end up on the bench.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury32:38

The source is concerned about drafting Love due to a high ankle sprain and his status as a rookie on an 'awful' Cardinals team. While he could be a bell-cow back when healthy, the injury risk and potential for limited usage make him a risky pick in the third round, though he becomes a target if he falls to the fourth.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeProjection44:09

The source discourages drafting Burrow in the fifth round because he does not provide rushing upside. To pay off his draft cost, he would need to reach elite passing numbers (40+ touchdowns, 4,500+ yards), leaving no margin for error regarding his health or the Bengals' offensive performance.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeValue5:32

The source identifies Jonathan Taylor as a primary candidate for the worst first-round pick due to a historic discrepancy in fantasy production between wins and losses. If the Colts fail to replicate their early-season success from last year, Taylor faces significant risk of underperforming his ADP. The source notes that after Daniel Jones' injury last season, Taylor's production regressed to league-average levels, and with Michael Pittman gone and potential offensive regression, he is viewed as a frustrating, high-risk asset compared to other first-rounders.

Insight page
PositiveValue67:06

The source suggests that taking a high-end running back like Jonathan Taylor early, paired with a top receiver like CeeDee Lamb, provides more roster flexibility later in the draft.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

NegativeProjection74:18

The source is out on Jordan Addison, describing him as touchdown-dependent and noting he has never demanded a high target rate. The source compares him to early-career Calvin Ridley but expresses concern over the Vikings' offense and Addison's inability to live up to expectations as a former first-round pick.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeProjection7:09

The source is concerned about Justin Jefferson's ceiling with Kyler Murray as his quarterback. While acknowledging Jefferson is great in real life, the source suggests he may only be 'great' rather than 'elite' in this specific offense, making him a risky pick in the first round compared to other options.

Insight page
NegativeValue66:52

The source mentions Justin Jefferson as an elite option to consider when drafting, noting that managers should not feel forced to ignore top-tier wide receivers just to prioritize running backs.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeBust61:44

The source expresses deep frustration with Kyle Pitts, citing past disappointment and the high week-to-week variance in the Falcons' offense. The source notes that while Pitts finished as the TE7 last year, his production is highly dependent on quarterback play, specifically fearing he will receive limited targets when not playing with Michael Penix.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury26:46

The source ranks Malik Nabers as a poor pick in the third round due to ongoing concerns about his physical health. Citing recent comments where Nabers admitted he does not feel 100%, the source argues that players returning from injury often have their performance limited by a 'governor' effect where the brain restricts physical output.

Insight page
PositiveProjection32:20

The source highlights Nabers as having a significantly higher touchdown floor than Zay Flowers, suggesting that an average season for Nabers could realistically yield 10-12 touchdowns, whereas Flowers would require an outlier season to reach those numbers.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveBreakout65:07

The source highlights Marvin Harrison Jr. as having significant upside, placing him in the top five of players who could be the most important in fantasy football this year. The source suggests he is a strong target in the seventh or eighth round, viewing him as a superior option to other available receivers like Courtland Sutton or Alec Pierce.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeProjection55:50

Drafted in the 13th round as a backup quarterback option, the source notes they have previously joked about him getting hurt, but he remains a rostered asset.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

NegativeBust40:05

The source advises against drafting Judkins, citing concerns about the Browns' offense, Deshaun Watson's poor play, a questionable offensive line, and Judkins' recovery from a broken leg. Defenses are expected to stack the box against him, and his 3.5 yards-per-carry average from last year suggests he is touchdown-dependent.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveValue45:40

The source considers Stevenson underrated, noting he is a superior blocker and receiver compared to Travion Henderson. Despite a misconception that he lacks explosiveness, the source argues he creates big plays and is likely to command goal-line work in the Patriots' backfield.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

NegativeBust58:31

The source identifies Tony Pollard as a 'milquetoast' pick that inspires zero confidence, noting he plays on an offense unlikely to score and faces potential usage competition from Tajay Spears. While acknowledging he showed more explosive juice in the preseason than expected, the source remains unenthusiastic about his fantasy outlook.

Insight page
PositiveBust58:33

The source identifies Pollard as their least favorite pick in the seventh round, noting that unlike other players in that range who have clear breakout paths, Pollard lacks that same upside potential.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeProjection31:41

The source expresses skepticism regarding Flowers' ceiling, noting he lacks red zone and end zone targets. Despite elite production in the middle of the field, his touchdown output is limited, with only 18 end zone targets over three seasons, making it difficult for him to reach the 10-12 touchdown threshold expected of players in his draft range.

0:27They always have that little extra something. And maybe you've got it too.
0:31Chevrolet. Together let's drive. Visit chevy.com slash trucks to explore the lineup.
0:34Welcome to The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz.
0:37And I am still joined in person by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck.
0:41We're still in Los Angeles, baby! We're still here.
0:43Today we were going over... You guys ever leaving or no?
0:46Well, maybe. Okay. Maybe. That's good. Cross my fingers.
0:48It's gonna live in a hotel forever. Ooh. We're going over the worst picks in every round.
0:53Today. We're following up the best picks in every round with the worst picks in every round.
0:58The people that we're just really not looking to draft.
1:00Because you tell people who to take, but those people can be taken.
1:04And maybe it's more important to tell you who to avoid and what mistakes to avoid.
1:08So we're just gonna go over and be like, basically who's giving us the ick in each round?
1:13We're not saying never take these people. But if it's like, unless you're getting a real good deal...
1:18It's our least favorite pick at cost. Right. As the fantasy people like to say.
1:22And there's no right way to determine the definition of what our least favorite pick is.
1:26Other than if we love you and you're asking us for advice on your team.
1:30And then we're like, how'd it go? And you send your draft back.
1:33And we see these people. We're a little bit like, ooh.
1:36If your entire lineup comprised of these people, we'd be upset with you.
1:40Yes. Or just concerned. That would actually be a fun way to do it.
1:44Somebody should do that. They'll probably fucking win. And then they'd win.
1:47They'd probably just go undefeated. So, yeah. We're gonna do that.
1:50And I also want to remind people that we have in-season episodes.
1:53We do Sunday night recaps. We do Monday waivers.
1:55So, during the season, you gotta add, you know, a lot of times during the season, like, you know, a few different
2:01waiver picks can kind of determine the entire season.
2:04The fantasy season arguably starts after week one. You could argue that what you do over the waiver wire over the course
2:10of the season is more important than your draft.
2:12So, we do waiver help for you on Mondays.
2:14And then we have power hours on Wednesdays, which are really fun.
2:18And then Friday previews. So, four times a week during the season.
2:21So, if you've liked the chaos insanity of the show, then stick with us during the season.
2:25And we're gonna go over the, yeah, the worst picks in every round.
2:29But first, we're gonna take a quick break. This episode is presented by Verizon.

2:54All right. Going over the worst picks in each round.
2:56Round one. It's not like there's any bad picks.
2:59But you're grading on a curve. Right. So... By the way, the list where you're using average draft position based on...
3:04We're doing fantasy pros, right? This is like a collection of ADPs across the internet.
3:08So, this is like a compilation of that. It's like a consensus thing.
3:12It's like half point per reception, but that's kind of the same thing as full point per reception.
3:17It doesn't change the rankings that much, honestly. And so, it's part...
3:20You know, it's Yahoo, it's fantasy pros, it's sleeper, it's like an amalgamation.
3:23It's amalgamation? Amalgamation. Amalgamation. Whatever. It's a bunch of stuff mixed together.
3:26My question for you two, if we... Starting here at round one, I have one question for you both.
3:32I think we're all going to say Jonathan Taylor.
3:34Is that right? Are you not? Heifetz and I.
3:36No, I think I am. Oh, I had Jonathan Taylor.
3:39How did you know I was doing it? I just figured.
3:42My question is, is there any other bad pick in the first round?
3:46I don't think it's a bad pick. No. Sorry, is there any other pick that you think is even in contention for worst pick other than Jonathan Taylor?
3:53Or is every other pick a two thumbs up?
3:55Maybe CeeDee Lamb. CeeDee Lamb at 10. Yeah. CeeDee Lamb is weird because I wouldn't be shocked at all if CeeDee Lamb
4:01just leads the NFL in every receiving category. It's hard to pick against the number one wide receiver on maybe the best offense in the NFL.
4:08Justin Jefferson, if Kyler doesn't quit. I think the CeeDee Lamb thing is interesting because last year, we didn't see him post elite numbers.
4:15He's actually only had one season with truly elite numbers.
4:17And now George Pickens, I think, complicates the picture and how much is he going to be utilized?
4:22He arguably might be just better overall at being a receiver.
4:25So I don't know. I think to me that's kind of the risk.
4:29Obviously, Justin Jefferson is in the first round on this ADP at number 12.
4:32We don't know how he's going to mesh with Kyler Murray.
4:35I'm assuming Justin Jefferson can really get back to elite, elite numbers with Kyler Murray where Kyler Murray could make Justin Jefferson just great instead of elite.
4:43Yeah. And then you'd probably still be disappointed. So that's probably the one that makes me nervous.
4:47It's like Justin Jefferson's great in real life. But there's a reason we'd be touting taking Kyler Murray as a quarterback instead of like just Justin Jefferson.
4:54But Jonathan Taylor, again, to me, it's really simple.
4:57The reason I had Jonathan Taylor is it's just the discrepancy in how many points he scores in wins versus losses is like historic.
5:03Scott Barrett's talked about this at fantasy points. It's like Derrick Henry and Jonathan Taylor, they're basically one of the best fantasy
5:09players of all time when they win. It's like 24 points per game almost.
5:13And then in losses, it's like less than half that.
5:16And so if you think the Ravens are going to be good, which I do, Derrick Henry's a great pick.
5:21My fear is that if the Colts are not as good as they were in the first half of the season, you're
5:27looking at, okay, well, if the Colts win seven games, you might have 10 really bad game scripts for Jonathan Taylor.
5:32So that's my concern where it wouldn't be weird if he had a healthy season.
5:36It was disappointing. Whereas the other people in the first round, if they were healthy, it'd be weird if they had a weird season.
5:43I agree. Yeah. I think it's just, he just feels to me like there's a chance of all the first rounders, he's
5:49going to be the guy that I think is frustrating to have on your team because the Colts are just, I just
5:55don't believe in them truly that they are as good as they were last year, started last season.
5:59We talked about this a bunch. Taylor is not going to score three touchdowns every other game like he did last year.
6:05He had a hat trick of hat tricks. It's just crazy.
6:08He had three games with three touchdowns in the four game span.
6:11But that being said, I mean, maybe the best pure runner in the NFL.
6:15Awesome player. It's a tale of two halves because if you just, if somebody's just kind of showing up to a draft
6:21and they just pull up, what happened last year?
6:24He's the number two running back in fantasy. He was right behind McCaffrey.
6:27You're like, wow, 20 points a game. Like this guy's amazing.
6:30But once you look at after Daniel Jones went down, he was like a top 20 guy.
6:35Yeah. It was a complete, he was just like a league average running back.
6:38And I know Daniel Jones is back, but like the Achilles, Michael Pittman's gone.
6:42We do, this offense was historically good last year.
6:44Like 2007 Patriots. 2007 Patriots. So if it just kind of becomes an average offense, Jonathan Taylor probably becomes an average first rounder, maybe even probably below that.
6:52And I don't mean to be Debbie Downer on the Colts because I want them to be good.
6:57I'm just afraid. Everyone's like, oh, Jackson Dart for the Giants.
7:00Can't make it through a season. Daniel Jones has had one healthy season basically in his, in, since COVID.
7:05So the idea that while he's back from the Achilles, there's a lot of other ways the man can get hurt.
7:10You know what I mean? So it's, it's. The Colts started seven and one.
7:14And then, and Jonathan Taylor was the best player in fantasy.
7:17The Colts probably would need to be seven and one again for Jonathan Taylor to be the best player.
7:22So it's like. What about round two? And again, just to go through the players in round two.
7:27So there's Devon HN from Miami, Chase Brown, the running back for the Bengals.
7:31Ashton Gentry for the Raiders who we should talk about.
7:33Cause he has an ankle issue. I would say he's, he's, he's disqualified.
7:37He's like disqualified. Cause you shouldn't take Ashton Gentry in round two.
7:40Not at 15th overall. No, we're going off average draft position.
7:43And again, that's like kind of including from before he got hurt.
7:46So I would wait till the end of round two at least to take Gentry.
7:50If not later. O'Marrion Hampton for the Chargers running back.
7:53Ken Walker running back for the Chiefs. Derek Henning running back for the Ravens.
7:57Josh Allen for the Bills is going 19th on average.
7:59AJ Brown for the Patriots is going 20th. Drake London for that.
8:03Falcons going 21st. Brock Bowers on the Raiders tight end.
8:05George Pickens received for the Cowboys. Nico Collins for the Texans.
8:08DK, who's your least favorite pick in round two?
8:11It pains me to do this because I love him.
8:13But Devon Achan feels like a very risky pick.
8:16That's what I had too. I know that I'm sure you put London, but I think Achan at 13.
8:21It's tough. It's very high. Losing Mike McDaniel and now having Malik Willis and just not knowing what that offense is going to look like.
8:28It is strange. There is a world where Achan is really good.
8:31And again, maybe the Dolphins offense is even a little better than you expect or the defense is so bad that he should.
8:37Again, there's a world where Achan is actually the leading receiver on the team.
8:41Right. So he could have like a Cardinals last year with Trey McBride where Achan has some crazy fantasy season.
8:46But banking on that feels a little insane. Yeah.
8:48And the alternative, like they're literally the favorite to just have the worst record in the NFL.
8:53I was going to say, how often is one of the best players in fantasy on the worst team in the NFL?
8:59It's one of those where it's like the post-draft clarity when the Dolphins are terrible and you watch them play.
9:04Especially a running back. Yeah. You feel kind of dumb about it.
9:07I think it's, yeah. And it's one of those things too where you say, oh, they're going to be trailing a lot.
9:13So therefore they might be passing a lot. And maybe he's more involved in the passing game than he has in previous years.
9:19But he had 85 targets last year. Do we think he's going to have 85 again this year?
9:24That's the key. And the other thing to keep in mind with this is when you look at players on good teams,
9:30when they're scoring a lot of points, there's more possessions.
9:33There's more plays. I'm worried about the amount of plays that the Dolphins are going to run.
9:37I think they're going to be a slow offense.
9:40I think they're not going to run very many plays because they're not going to get a ton of first downs.
9:45So that is my worry is there's just not going to be the volume to make him an elite, elite fantasy player.
9:51I still think he's great. Obviously, I love him.
9:54He's one of my favorite players in the NFL full stop.
9:57But I just worry about this environment. Would you take him?
10:00So we have A-Chan later at basically the end of round two where all these concerns start to be outweighed when it's like Devon A-Chan or George Pickens.
10:07I'm like, OK, I'll take him there. Yeah. But there's a huge difference between the 13th pick and the 23rd pick.
10:13Basically, I and we did this in our draft.
10:15I'm generally looking at Chase Brown, Hampton, Kenneth Walker, Henry, much, much more than A-Chan.
10:19Just because of the offensive environment. Like Brown is in with the Bengals.
10:23I think Hampton with the Chargers. Kenneth Walker with the Chiefs.
10:26I think really what it comes down to and maybe my favorite fantasy analysis Craig has had is like with receiver, does
10:32it feel like a miracle when they catch a pass?
10:34And for running back, does it feel like a miracle when they get to the red zone?
10:39And there's a chance. It's like a miracle when they get a first down.
10:43Yeah. When they like put together like three first downs.
10:45Like I just don't like three and out punt.
10:48I'm going to be like, fuck. It's going to suck.
10:50This team has no wide receivers. I don't know how they're going to score.
10:54Have we done that in a minute? Is it worth just reminding?
10:57I mean, the Dolphins are tanking and I don't feel bad saying that.
11:01They traded away Waddled. Teams don't tank. Tyreek's not coming back.
11:04Their receivers are, they have rookies like Caleb Douglas.
11:06They have Chris Bell. They have Malik Washington and Jalen Tolbert.
11:09That's it. I mean, Jalen Tolbert is, is he the highest drafted player?
11:13He was the third on pick. He was pretty disappointing in Dallas.
11:16Malik Washington's a six rounder who's going to start.
11:18Caleb Douglas, is that a rookie fourth rounder? And then, I mean, Chris Bell.
11:22But yeah. Say again? I think Douglas was in the third.
11:25He was in the third round. Yeah. So, I mean, this is, it's preposterous.
11:29Well, I mean, yeah. I mean, if you look at what the Dolphins are doing, maybe tanking is not the correct word.
11:34It's table resetting. They're basically resetting the roster, trying to get their cap in order.
11:38They have so much dead cap right now. It's crazy.
11:41They're just like, it's like a guy with a lot of credit card debt who's like, I'm not going to go out this weekend because I can't.
11:48I just can't spend $200 on drinks this weekend.
11:51You could literally build almost the entire first team all pro offense last year with the cap hits.
11:56That's basically how much money the Dolphins are spending on players that are no longer on the team.
12:00Yeah. With Tua and Tyreek. And speaking of Tua, that's why I kind of had Drake London here.
12:05And it's weird because... You'd rather have A-chan at 13 than Drake London at 21?
12:09Maybe that's wrong. It's weird because every game that Michael Penix plays a quarterback with Drake London, I think Drake London's going
12:15to be elite and maybe better than the first-round receivers.
12:18We saw it last year. My question to you is, do you want to spend a second-round pick?
12:23Because, well, Michael Penix rushing back from the ACL to take the week one job from Tua because Michael Penix is getting the chance to play.
12:30Kind of a disaster. Do you feel like Penix is going to play 17 games?
12:34Because I feel like Penix is going to play six weeks.
12:37Probably not. He'll look good. Yeah. Drake London will look good.
12:40But the moment Michael Penix gets any kind of issue, they're probably going to be cautious because it's his third ACL tear.
12:45And the next one's his career. So then it's like Tua's playing.
12:49And Tua is the first person to lose a one-man quarterback competition.
12:52Or Jack Strait. Did he get drafted? We're also proud of him.
12:55The people are kind to him on Instagram. With a heart.
12:58Did you see that? What are the odds that there's another guy with the same name as Tua Mann?
13:03That's pretty crazy. You have to explain this. Tua posted a photo of himself in a Falcon's uniform with his hands up.
13:09On Instagram. On Instagram. And it says, For the A.
13:12With a salute emoji. And right below it, the same exact username, Tua Mann, says, We're so proud of you.
13:17You got this heart. It's starting to get a little bit.
13:20Yeah. It's kind of a bummer, to be honest.
13:22Look, the burner thing... Do you guys have burners?
13:25I don't. Do you? Yeah, I do. My favorite thing about Craig.
13:28I do have a burner. Go try to find it.
13:31I'm not ashamed of it. All I talk about is San Diego State basketball.
13:34I was going to say. I just bitch about it.
13:37People are going to find it, for sure. Go find it.
13:40I'm not hiding anything on there. But I get it.
13:43Having to switch back and forth. Like, even like, on Instagram, I have, I'm like, the Rewatchables Instagram, the Town Instagram fantasy, my own.
13:49Yeah. You're always toggling back and forth. I kind of do understand getting it wrong, but it is deeply embarrassing.
13:55Deeply. Having to comment, like, it's such a... Did he delete it?
13:58We're so proud of you. Yes, which is worse.
14:00It's worse. Almost leave it up. Oh, you don't leave it.
14:03You don't leave it. You can't leave it up.
14:06You're right. I actually think... You absolutely can't leave it up.
14:08Kevin Durant responding to the burner thing with just then absolutely being insane in his own name was actually a great response.
14:14He was like, you know what? You're right. I'll just do it from my own account.
14:19We need a word for this when you actually comment with your burner.
14:22Yeah, you do. Email us at ringofantasyfootball.gmail.com if you want to know...
14:25Stolen Valor or something? I don't know. Yeah, we need a term for when you accidentally burn yourself, basically.
14:30But we need a better word than like the burner or self-burn.
14:34We need something better than that. It's like a self-dox.
14:36I don't know. Dox. Yeah, please email us at ringofantasyfootball.
14:39Also, go find Craig's burner. But yeah, again, good luck.
14:42Go find... Yeah, please find... Email ringofantasy if you can find Craig's burner.
14:45I've actually been curious about this. I'll just kill it and start a new one.
14:49You'll never find me. To be clear, if Michael Penix plays 17 games, Drake London is going underrated.
14:54I'm just kind of like... Yeah, yeah. Once Penix gets hurt, I'm all good for fun.
14:58Because you look at it, it's like I'd rather have George Pickens or Nico Collins or A.G.
15:03Brown, all the guys around him. I just like...
15:05I don't know. It's actually kind of surprising London is maintained kind of where he is in drafts.
15:10I also think... I think when you get to a certain point in the offseason, rankings just don't change.
15:15I agree with that. People don't... People are... It's peer pressure ADP...
15:18Late August. Once it's past August 25th, people are like...
15:21Yeah. It is what it is. It's hard to watch Tua and be like, oh, and then drop him like two rounds.
15:27Okay. Round three, we have Trey McBride, the tight end from the Cardinals.
15:30Chris Olave, receiver from the Saints. Kyron Williams, running back from the Rams.
15:34Yucky round. Jeremiah Love, running back on the Cardinals.
15:36Malik Nabors, receiver for the Giants. Javante Williams, running back from the Cowboys.
15:40Brees Hall, running back from the Jets. Devontae Smith, receiver for the Eagles.
15:43And Rasheed Rice, receiver for the Chiefs. Craig, who's your least favorite player?
15:47There's two more, right? Oh, God. Oh, sorry. Josh Jacobs, running back for the Packers.
15:51I mean, that's just like a legacy. He's not counting him.
15:54He's off the board. Zay Flowers, receiver for the Ravens.
15:56And Travis H. And they're running back for the Saints.
15:59I mean, this is a real poo-poo platter here.
16:02We have... I mean, you could... I could offer you my love with a high ankle.
16:06I could offer you Malik Nabors talking about how his body's still not right.
16:10Or I could offer you Zay Flowers. He doesn't score touchdowns.
16:12real quick, Malik Nabors had a presser the other day and was talking about watching himself on some of the clips that he's seen online.
16:19He's like, whoa. I was surprised I was moving like that.
16:22I sure don't feel... I'm paraphrasing now. He's like, I sure don't feel like I'm 100% or something like that.
16:27This is why we're lower on neighbors. This is why you guys always...
16:31I'm a Debbie Downer, but I lose my mind when there's like a preseason video of a guy running and they're like,
16:37oh my God, he's back to 100%. And it's just object permanence.
16:40It's not different than a toddler dropping so you have a bathtub and just looking over the edge and being amazed that it still exists.
16:47Like, you forgot about him. It's like Alec Pierce goes back to practice.
16:50I'm like, well, look at his calves. One is atrophied.
16:53They're not even the same size. He's not going to be a great NFL route runner in two weeks.
16:58Look at those calves. You're like Johnny Drama. Look at those calves.
17:01Where'd you get those calves? Victory! No, but like, I just, literally your brain does not talk to your legs the same
17:07way for, there's a period of time between you're physically able to ramp up, which takes time.
17:12Then your brain is like putting a governor on it like a go-kart.
17:15It just, I don't think neighbors is a good pick here and that's why he's probably going to go in the top 25 for.
17:22I think he is probably the worst pick, I think, in this round now to me.
17:26I don't think he's going to play week one.
17:28I find it hard because he is a, maybe a poor man's version of like a Christian McCaffrey because Christian McCaffrey hasn't
17:34practiced in weeks, but if he's on the field this year, and we've seen this year in and year out.
17:40We still think this is a contract. When he's on the field, no, I don't think so.
17:44Oh, you think he is hurt? Yeah. Well, I mean, I don't know what to believe.
17:48If Christian McCaffrey gets a $5 million raise in the next six days, then he's probably, he's totally fine.
17:53Regardless, even if he was playing and practicing right now, he's still one of the higher volatility players in the sense that
17:59he's either going to win you your league or he's going to be the most annoying player because you're drafting him so high.
18:06He is going to be a league winning type player.
18:08Yeah, but it's worth the risk in other words.
18:11you think so? Yeah. At this position? At this spot in round three, I think that's worth the pick because, and again,
18:16this goes back to what's your strategy? Are you just trying to not get last?
18:21Maybe then don't pick him, but if you're trying to win your fucking league, this guy gives you an ability to do that in the third round.
18:28He has literally, I think over the last three years, the highest target rate of any receiver in the NFL.
18:33I mean, yeah. Didn't you just say Neighbors was your favorite pick in this round yesterday?
18:37No. I don't think so. You said Kyron Williams.
18:40Am I having a stroke? Did you not say it was Neighbors?
18:43Rasheed Rice. Oh, Rasheed Rice. Sorry, the other guy who had knee surgery.
18:46Rasheed Rice is playing, practicing in full. Fair enough.
18:49But I do understand. And Patrick Mahomes is his quarterback.
18:52Good point. What do you say about Dart? He's not Patrick Mahomes.
18:55Only literally. In every way. So, I would just slightly quibble with that because I do think the upside is so fantastic.
19:01My other pick was Zay Flowers. Yeah, and I think that we've talked about him ad nauseum at this point.
19:06He just doesn't score touchdowns. He doesn't get targets in the red zone.
19:10No. Doesn't get targets in the end zone. He gets elite targets in the middle of the field.
19:14Some of the best in the NFL. But he has the same amount of red zone targets the last two seasons as Alan Lazard.
19:21I mean, 18 end zone targets in three seasons, same as Xavier Leggett.
19:24It's hard for guys his size to score like 10 to 12 touchdowns.
19:28And you're kind of hoping that these people in this range can score 10 to 12 touchdowns.
19:32So, it limits the ceiling. It has to be the best season of his career.
19:36Right. Like, there's no choice. It would have to be like an outlier season.
19:40You know what I mean? Yeah. Malik Neighbors, if Malik Neighbors were healthy, it doesn't have to be an outlier.
19:45An average Malik Neighbors season is 10, 12 touchdowns.
19:48I mean, I think he was tackled to the goal line, but it's kind of like Dallas Goddard, where it's like four
19:54touchdowns, five, four, three, three, four, 11. And you're kind of just hoping it's the 11 year.
19:58My question is, I had Jeremiah Love, the running back for the Cardinals.
20:02See, that's another one. I hate shitting on him because I love him as a player.
20:06He's an incredible running back. I loved him coming to the draft.
20:09The Cardinals took him too high, whatever. And again, I just strike one, he's a rookie.
20:14I think rookie running backs are usually overdrafted just because there's too much hype and I think it's underrated how much they won't contribute in the passing game.
20:21I strike two is, I just think Cardinals are an awful team.
20:24Same thing as the Dolphins in strike three. High ankle sprints are such a tough injury.
20:29My question is, do you think Mike LaFleur, brother of Matt, head coach of the Cardinals, giving Jeremiah Love like 14 touches
20:34in the preseason first half, is that a sign that they're going to actually give Jeremiah Love a lot of work and he doesn't care?
20:41Because I interpreted it initially as, well, whatever they had planned for him now, the moment he has any kind of flare
20:47up, they're going to have to dial it back.
20:49They'll probably have to put him on a touch, like a limited thing and I had already thought they were going to
20:55have to like limit his stuff this season. But now I'm like, okay, what if it's not that, what if it's not
21:01that deep and they're like, well, when he's medically cleared, he's going to be the bell cow because they took him third
21:07and the 14 touches is because they gave him a lot of touches.
21:11Is there any world I'm wrong about that? Wait, what?
21:13Basically, is Jeremiah Love, what if, stupid fucking question.
21:16That was a long question. Can you just summarize it?
21:18Is them giving, is Michael Fleur giving Jeremiah Love a ton of touches in the preseason mean he actually will get a
21:24ton of touches in the regular season? Yeah, I see.
21:27It's not that deep? Although it was stupid, I think.
21:30I do think that he is, if Jeremiah Love were healthy, I do think he would be like one of the best picks in this round.
21:37If he hadn't gotten an ankle injury. I do feel as though he's just going to get the ball a lot.
21:42James Conner, I think I agree with that. It's basically just going to be Tyler Algier and Jeremiah Love.
21:47And even if it's a 70-30 split, I'm like, even if it's 65-35, I still think he's going to score points.
21:53I think they're going to throw the ball to him a lot.
21:56And it was just reported this morning that he's 50-50 to play week one, which I hate.
22:01That's what I'm asking because it's like James Conner's not a factor.
22:04Trey Benson is basically, he's going to miss the entire season.
22:07He's on IR. So it's actually just... Conner's on IR too, right?
22:10Right. So it's just Jeremiah Love and Tyler Algier.
22:12Yes. And then it's so stupid when you're like, well, I saw Jeremiah Love walk up the stairs of a plane with a pizza.
22:19So he's fine. But yeah, I just don't want a guy with a high ankle sprain on my team.
22:24I do agree. I wonder if there is a point where if you're in like a really sharp league and he starts falling because everyone's like...
22:31He's in round four? Yeah. I'll take him. I'll take him there.
22:34Yes. He's had like three weeks to recover again.
22:37That's not that much. But sometimes people will just play the next week with a high ankle and battle through the season.
22:42If he is, I mean, he's going to have like close to a month to recover.
22:47It's still not great. But if he falls enough, I might take him.
22:50That's the thing. And like, so there's a league I'm in where he fell after 50 and I was like, okay, now I'm like, oh my God.
22:57Yeah. It's like, I like DJ more, but I'm going to take Jeremiah Love.
23:01You should just sit him week one. Who gives a fuck?
23:04Sit him two weeks. Right. You're the Cardinals. Right.
23:07Let him be healthy. Yeah. Okay. So I had him as the...
23:10Not counting Josh Jacobs. I had Jeremiah Love as the worst pick in this round, but solely because he's literally injured.
23:15Yeah. I wouldn't take him in a third probably.
23:18No, I wouldn't either. So I think that's fair.
23:20Just imagine setting your lineup for week one and you're like, I need to replace my running back.
23:25Yeah. You're like, God. Okay. Lamar Jackson, quarterback for the Ravens.
23:28Ted Arroa McMillan, receiver for the Panthers. Emeka Abuka, receiver for the Buccaneers, who's also done with a toe injury that they
23:34won't tell us if it's turf toe or not.
23:36Oh no. Todd Bowles today said day-to-day or week-to-week.
23:39Well, thank God. That's kind of sick. I love that.
23:41If I was a coach, I'd be that way.
23:44If I was a head coach, I also would be like day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to-month.
23:48Time's not a fixed construct. Alad McConkie, receiver for the Chargers.
23:50I think I said Colson Loveland, tight end for the Bears.
23:53Garrett Wilson, receiver for the Jets. DeAndre Swift, running back for the Bears.
23:57Quinshawn Judkins, running back for the Browns. Jalen Waddell, receiver for the Broncos.
24:00And Bucky Irving, running back for the Buccaneers. DK, who's your least favorite pick in this round?
24:05I actually like this round a lot. I like almost every player in this round.
24:09The one guy that kind of circled as someone I'm just not excited to draft, I probably won't be drafting ever, is Quinshawn Judkins.
24:15It's not that I don't like him. It's basically the same argument as Devon Achan, which is, I just don't trust this offense.
24:22to have a lot of possessions and run a lot of plays and be in the position to score a lot of points.
24:28I especially don't like Cleveland weather late in the season.
24:30I don't want to have to deal with that.
24:33I think Quinshawn Judkins is awesome. I actually had this in a real draft the other day where he was falling and
24:39he was sitting there still and I still was just like, I don't want to do it.
24:43I'm not doing it. And I think I picked a receiver instead.
24:46I just like the receivers more in this area.
24:49Abuka, Ladd, Garrett Wilson, Swift I like more. It's just there's other guys in this range that I like a lot more.
24:55I had Judkins too. He's a really good player, but strike one, do you want to watch the Cleveland Browns?
25:00About this year, next year I'm going to be all over it.
25:03Strike two, do you want to watch Deshaun Watson?
25:06Strike three, Quinshawn Judkins also coming off a broken leg last year.
25:09That's the other thing, the injury. And the offensive line is a massive question mark.
25:13So you're kind of hoping that the legs are covered, the Browns offense, again, every defense is coming in.
25:18There's so many things that need to go right.
25:20Tell me one thing that's going right. Right. He's good.
25:23Other than I guess he's looking healthy, but like quarterback mess, offensive line mess, the offense in general is going to be a mess.
25:30What am I excited about? I mean, he averaged three and a half yards of carry last year.
25:34Like it was not, he looked good watching him on like three and a half with your eyes.
25:39Yeah. But he basically, he scored like seven touchdowns in 10 games last year and that helped him.
25:44If he doesn't do that, it's rough. Also, Deshaun Watson is a mess and every defense, every week, every defense is going
25:50into Cleveland and saying, well, we're just going to not let Judkins get yards and we're going to make Deshaun Watson make him one dimensional.
25:57Yeah. So yeah, this is a guy you don't want to watch.
26:00I think it's Judkins. Okay. That was easy. Round five.
26:03We have David Montgomery running back for the Texans, DG Moore receiver for the Bills, Tyler Warren, the tight end for the
26:08Colts, Drake May, quarterback for the Patriots, Joe Burrow for the Bengals, Luther Burden, receiver, Craig's Muse for the Bears, Terry McLaurin,
26:14receiver for Washington, Travion Henderson on the Patriots, Devontae Adams, receiver for the Rams, Jadarian Price, the rookie running back on the
26:20Seahawks, Basial Tootin running back for the Jags, and James Williams, receiver for the Lions.
26:24DK, who's the worst pick in round five? So I think I wrote down Travion Henderson for the Patriots.
26:29I think it's mainly just because this is more of a real rotation with Ramondre Stevenson than I think a lot of
26:35the other running backs in this area. Henderson only had like 45% of snaps last year, and Ramondre was like 60%.
26:41Now, Henderson did outscore Ramondre last year. It was kind of dependent on big plays and touchdowns and catches.
26:46Mostly dependent on that. So that worries me a little bit.
26:49The other guy that I really circle in this range is Joe Burrow, who I think, I mean, it's mainly just because he doesn't run.
26:56He's not really a runner. I think he's probably not going to scramble all that much.
27:00So you're kind of dependent on him having 40 touchdowns to really pay off where you're getting him here.
27:05I would rather just wait for another guy later.
27:07So I would probably say just strategically, I don't like Joe Burrow in this round.
27:11Burrow is great, but he's getting drafted. It's hard for Burrow to do better than being like the fourth best quarterback.
27:17Yeah. And you're basically betting that he's, not only is Burrow healthy, but the Bengals' offense has to stay elite.
27:22You're betting on like 40 touchdowns in 4,500 yards.
27:25Yeah, he's not allowed to have any issues with the offense.
27:28Also, if the Bengals do the Joe Burrow in two and lose the first two games again, unlike last year where they
27:34actually didn't and then he got hurt. I had Trevion Henderson too though.
27:37Me as well. Did you really? We're kind of in lockstep.
27:40Yeah, wow. It's almost like we talked to each other.
27:43It's the same thing. He's going ahead of Ramondre and I just think Trevion was one of the worst blocking running backs last year.
27:49Ramondre is one of the best and I just think Ramondre is going to get the goal line.
27:54And also Ramondre is a better receiver than people think.
27:57Ramondre is underrated. Yeah. He's really underrated. It's because he's going to play.
28:00I kind of think it's just because he's slow.
28:03But he's not. He has actually a lot of explosive plays.
28:05I feel like, oh, you think so? I feel like I don't see him as like a guy who can really get
28:11out on the outside and run past people. I think that's the misconception with him.
28:15Maybe he's not the fastest guy but I think he does create quite a few big plays.
28:20I mean, he's not as explosive as Henderson by any means.
28:23I just think round five for Henderson. Like I took Henderson in the ringer league draft but I got him two rounds later.
28:29Right. I just think round five is kind of high.
28:32I agree. I agree. It just feels too high.
28:34He's good but it's just it's one of the it's fantasy brain.
28:37It's Henderson's explosive and they're like upside. What if Armandre gets hurt?
28:41He had 12 touches a game last year, Henderson.
28:43But the part. That's like you're really hoping those are big plays.
28:46And the problem with the 12 touches again. If it's there's no real great analytics for this in public facing but it's
28:52if a running back is not correctly setting up his blocks to hit the home runs coaches get frustrated.
28:57So Henderson's a home run hitter but like the kind of home run hitter that hits like your batting average is like 200.
29:03Yeah. So there's a lot of strikeouts which is frustrating for Mike Vrabel.
29:07For context. Sorry real quick. For context that was 33rd among running backs last year.
29:1112 touches a game. 12 touches a game. Do you not think he can improve?
29:15Of course he can improve but it's like he's a smaller guy.
29:18I mean we joked about it but how small is the nameplate on Henderson's jersey?
29:22And we're joking about it a bit but why?
29:24It's because his jersey's smaller. It's because they had a different font on the cut.
29:28He couldn't fit in. He needs a different cut of jersey.
29:31His name has a lot of letters. His name has a lot of letters.
29:35That's mostly it. Yeah but other guys not a big guy.
29:38Just as many letters had normal plates. It's because he needed a different cut of jersey.
29:42That was the real answer. He's petite. It's hard for him to pick Narrow chested.
29:46Yeah basically of course he can improve in those things but I think this ranking is implying he already has.
29:52Sure. Anyway. Right. I think this is like pricing him as if he's going to be the dominant lead back I would say.
29:58And I think you kind of need Ramondra to get hurt for that to happen.
30:02So round six. Jaden Daniels for Washington. Jalen Hurts the quarterback for the Eagles.
30:06Roman Dunze receiver for the Bears. Tucker Craft tight end coming off the 20th seal for the Packers.
30:11Christian Watson receiver for the Packers. Mike Evans now on the 49ers.
30:14Jalen Warren the running back for the Steelers. Parker Washington receiver darling of the offseason on the Jaguars.
30:19And Harold Fannin Jr. Tight end for the Browns.
30:21Ramondra Stevenson for the running who we were just talking about for the Patriots.
30:25Sam Laporta tight end of the Lions who has fallen because he's a hip injury.
30:29And Caleb Williams quarterback for the Bears. So we loved Watson Evans and Parker Washington in this round.
30:34But Deke who's your least favorite player in this round?
30:36He never asks me. Oh yeah. Well you're on your phone on the last pick.
30:40I was looking up the draft. I was looking up the ringer draft.
30:44I didn't know what you were doing. No one knows what you're doing on your phone.
30:48I just didn't. Yeah. You're just going to say I'm not going to talk to Craig the rest of the show because he looked at his phone once.
30:56It was habit from last time. He's on Twitter every show.
30:58Yeah it's true. Fine. Who's the worst player in this round?
31:01I spun it towards you. I think it's the tight ends in general.
31:05Yeah. I think it's Kraft, Fannin, and Laporta. I had the same answer.
31:08I had Fannin and then Laporta. I think Kraft is he's a wild card.
31:12I don't really know what to do with him.
31:15Kraft, as much as I love Tucker Kraft, the ACL thing I'm still a little worried about that.
31:19Just this is like that middle tier of tight ends that kind of suck you in.
31:24They're like the sirens where you think they could be Trey McBride but they won't.
31:28And you could probably just wait two rounds later and get the exact same production.
31:32And so there's so many other good players in this round.
31:35All the wide receivers and quarterbacks that we named.
31:37Jawan Johnson, Dalton Schultz, any of these guys that could have a higher floor.
31:41I'm, yeah, I'm worried about the tight ends. I think Fannin.
31:44Kyle Pitts around later. I'd rather just do that.
31:46Yeah. I actually, I agree with that because part of me is wondering if Penix could get him the ball but if
31:52Penix gets hurt then I'm like Kyle Pitts is probably going to lead all tight and catch it tight ends and catches every game two of plays.
31:59I had Fannin too because it's the same rounds thing.
32:02Fannin, I actually think Harold Fannin, I know I keep saying this but if he was in New England I'm like there's
32:08a 10% Hall of Fame outcome for Harold Fannin.
32:10He's incredible but holy shit like Deshaun Watson has, I think he's like forgotten how to throw a football.
32:15Like his footwork is incredible. It's like a broken golf swing.
32:18Yes. It's like borderline yips. And I just keep thinking about that when I'm like looking at Harold Fannin and the nine,
32:24as DK you keep pointing out, the Browns do not have an indoor game in the final nine games of the year.
32:30It does look like Deshaun's throwing with the wrong hand or something.
32:33It's very odd. Because you know what? It's like he's holding the ball so long that it's like going out of trajectory I've never seen.
32:40It's very weird. Like if your friend threw the car keys at you that way, you'd kind of be like what the fuck was that?
32:47He's an NFL quarterback. Yeah. I agree. You know the sound effect like the horn that goes wah wah wah wah.
32:52Like wah wah. Wah wah wah. Wah. Every time he throws I feel that in my nailed that.
32:57I thought it was great. That was good. Oh really?
33:00Okay. I thought you were being sarcastic. No, no.
33:02I actually thought you hit those octaves right? Those dropped your voice each time.
33:06Wah wah wah. That was bad. I liked your because it was good.
33:09Yeah. This is better. Okay. This episode is brought to you by Boar's Head.

34:06round seven. God, I don't even know how to pick the word.
34:09Round seven's kind of gross. Round seven is where all of my biases just come together.
34:14It's Kyle Pitts, who is the villain of the podcast and the single most disappointing prospect since we've been covering football.
34:19This is a mess. Then there's Marvin Harrison Jr., who's the other most disappointing NFL prospect since we've been covering football, and
34:25we also kind of have grown to just be angry at.
34:28There's Carnell Tate, who was already like the overdrafted number one receiver this year and number four pick in the real draft,
34:34but like literally, did he finish with no catches in the preseason?
34:37I think on six targets, yeah. So I'm like, man, even just one would have made me feel good.
34:42Right. Like, just one. Rico Dowdle, who's like, man, you're going to take Rico Dowdle on the Steelers?
34:47Like, that just makes me upset. Brian Thomas Jr., who we literally decided in the rewatchables last year on the season that Brian Thomas Jr.
34:54was the most frustrating player to have drafted in fantasy all of last year.
34:58He ruined my year. And then there's Jonathan Brooks, the running back for the Panthers, who literally has nine carries in two seasons and has two ACL tears.
35:05There's your nemesis, RJ Harvey, who you don't like.
35:08We have DK Metcalf, who's kind of a difficult player to pick.
35:11We have Tony Pollard, who's just kind of sitting there.
35:13You have a couple quarterbacks, Herbert and Dak Prescott and Trevor Lawrence.
35:17It's an interesting group. Are we, what is, is there a world where you should just be buying the dip on all
35:23these players or is this just a sign that like at this point you should actually just be looking to take a quarterback?
35:29My selection was Tony Pollard as the worst pick because I can envision scenarios with almost every other player on this list
35:35where a breakout occurs and that's what I'm looking for in this round.
35:38Like Cardinal Tate was the fourth pick in the draft.
35:41It's very possible that like, okay, cool, he wasn't, the preseason didn't work out.
35:45It's the preseason. It's like Jamar Chase, like, oh, he's not good with the lines on the ball.
35:49I'm like, he's pretty fucking sick. He could be awesome immediately and I'd be like, of course, that was stupid for me to think otherwise.
35:56Brian Thomas I could see bouncing back. Marvin Harrison Jr.
35:59has like legit upside despite, you know, everything that's happening.
36:01I think RJ Harvey does have upside. Tony Pollard to me.
36:0412 touchdowns last year. Totally. I can't believe that.
36:07Tony Pollard is just like sitting there as an incredibly milquetoast pick that inspires zero confidence on an offense I don't think is going to score.
36:14And they might use Tajay Spears more this year.
36:16I'm just kind of like, he's probably fine. I don't think he'll kill you, but he doesn't move me at all.
36:22I do feel like Tony Pollard had more juice this, like the preseason than I really thought he had left.
36:27But I agree. The run game was the only thing that actually looked good in the offense so far, but yeah.
36:33He's more explosive than I thought, honestly. And I, that's the only thing in the back of my mind.
36:38There was a time when I thought Tony Pollard looked like one of the best running backs.
36:42That last season on the Cowboys. Right. Before he broke his ankle.
36:46Before he broke his leg was, he was electric.
36:48He was electric, yeah. He was one of my favorite players to watch.
36:51If you look at his stats, he basically has, he's like Mike Evans.
36:55He basically has exactly 1,000 yards every season and like six, the touchdowns are not like Mike Evans, but he basically has
37:01a thousand yards and six touchdowns every year, which I'm like, okay.
37:04So you, yeah, you put Pollard. I put Kyle Pitts just because, just because of the, I fell for it again award type deal.
37:10I'm just like, I just am not, it's truly when he's there and I'm on the board, I'm just like.
37:16So you'd rather have anybody else on this list than him in this round?
37:20I think so. Wow. I think so. Just because it's, we talked about the offense.
37:24We've talked about what to expect. We don't know what to expect.
37:27They could be the worst. They could be sneaky.
37:29Might be one of the worst teams in the NFL.
37:32I just think, I hate how I feel like I'm repeating myself over and over, but the Delta in what's going to, we always look at the averages.
37:39He finished the number seven tight end. The week to week variance in the Falcons when Michael Penix plays and anyone else,
37:45when Penix plays, Drake London might be a top three receiver for us.
37:49But when, if Tua does play any games, Kyle Pitts is going to be like, I think he's going to get two design targets a quarter.
37:56Like the amount of plays Kevin Stefanski is going to run that are going to be like, get Kyle Pitts the ball
38:02immediately and just let him do yards after the catch.
38:04They might put him at quarterback. We don't know.
38:07He might. So Kyle Pitts is such a weird player, but also when Penix is playing, I'm like, I don't know.
38:12I don't think Penix and Pitts has ever been particularly great together.
38:16So it's a funny pick. So what did you have?
38:18I literally couldn't pick because I was like, I hate all the picks.
38:22This is not expert financial fiduciary advice. This is emotionally.
38:24I am not enough of a man to take Kyle Pitts and it fail again.
38:28Like I can't handle it. Like I literally, if this man burns me again, I will have so much self-hatred that I literally need to avoid this.
38:36I think he's low enough now where I'm like, he's the eighth tight end off the board.
38:40It's fine. It's not that bad. Last year he was like this one's more emotional thing.
38:44Oh, he's the fourth. Like you, I, the ringer fantasy football league.
38:48Like it's like, oh, he averages out to whatever bullshit.
38:50He went six consecutive weeks without getting like five fucking points in a game.
38:54Yeah. And then I cut him and then he had 40.
38:57Sure. Anyway. This is an emotional one more than a logical one I think for me.
39:01Can we have, this is the last time we'll talk about this man.
39:05Sorry. I have one last thing on this round.
39:07Sure. What, what are the chances that Marvin Harrison Jr.
39:10is like the most important player in fantasy football this year?
39:13It's, it's, he's among the top five. If you had to build out that group, he's in the top five.
39:18Where are we exposed? Exactly. Yeah. What's the hole in the dead?
39:21Part of me is like, we really haven't even considered that he's a great pick.
39:25We haven't even thought about it. It's been on the periphery of my radar.
39:29Yeah. Look, right around here, I'm the guys around him.
39:32Like we said, DK Metcalf. It's like, what is his ceiling?
39:35Cardinal Tate. You have guys like Cortland Sutton and Alec Pierce.
39:38When I look at those names, I'm like, yeah, why not take a shot on Marvin Harrison Jr.
39:43At this point? When, you know the scene from Goodfellas when De Niro is smoking a cigarette and the guy comes in,
39:48he knows he's going to kill him. Nah, nah, nah.
39:51And then his like eyebrow just clicks up a little bit.
39:54You're getting, you're done. That's how, that's like the feeling I kind of get when I'm like on the, I'm coming up
40:00in the seventh, eighth round or whatever. And Marvin Harrison is still there.
40:03And I'm like, and I'm like pulling a drag on that cigarette.
40:07And I'm like, fuck, I might take him. Oh, fuck.
40:09I think I'm going to take him. Yeah. Oh, fuck.
40:12I think I'm going to take him. Uh, I don't do it.
40:15It's telling that none of us even considered him for worst pick.
40:18Yeah. I, I, I don't hate him as much as I hate Kyle Pitts.
40:22He's going to burn his two. He's still 20.
40:25He's young. He's younger. He's the same age. He's only 20 years old.
40:28So, all right. Round eight, Chris Godwin Jr. Receiver for the Buccaneers.
40:31Chuba Hubbard, who has a hamstring injury for the Panthers.
40:34Corleton Sutton, the receiver for the Broncos. George Kittle coming off the Achilles for the 49ers.
40:38J.K. Dobbins running back for the Broncos. Michael Wilson receiver for the Cardinals, who we did vow would, we would rank and have ranked higher than Marvin Harrison.
40:46Blake Corham running back for the Rams. Alec Pierce receiver for the Colts.
40:49Travis Kelsey tied in for the Chiefs. Jackson Dart quarterback for the Giants.
40:53Jordan Mason for the Vikings and Kyle Monungay running back for the Bears.
40:56Craig, since you're so mad, who do you think is the worst pick in round eight?
41:01I have Corlin Sutton or Kyle Monungay. I don't disagree.
41:03I don't think I've drafted Kyle Monungay one time because he's like got hurt and hasn't been practicing at all.
41:09He has like a pretty bad knee hyperextension and is out for multiple weeks and there's like not a lot of report.
41:14So, I'm just kind of like. Why would I?
41:17What's going on? Why would I take the guy who was like a legit knee injury?
41:21Yeah. I don't know. I'd rather. I'd rather. Because this is the round where it's like you're not getting starting running backs anymore.
41:27You're getting like one B's. Right. All the other one B's are better.
41:31Jordan Mason, Blake Corham, even like J.K. Dobbins when he's healthy.
41:34I'd rather have all those guys than Kyle Monungay.
41:36I think now. And then Courtland Sutton I just picked because I'm like.
41:40Even without Jalen Waddle, Courtland Sutton is a very average standard pick.
41:43And now that Waddle's there, you know, Courtland Sutton's 31 years old.
41:46I'm kind of just like if I had to pick anybody to slip away in that offense, it's him.
41:51Maybe that's dumb. I don't know. I usually. I think Courtland Sutton is a lot like Michael Pittman who we talked about
41:57in the episode of the favorite picks where Pittman is like this boring veteran that could be good.
42:02And Sutton's like a higher floor player. My only fear with Courtland Sutton is I do think his job is not on
42:08the line, but I do think these younger receivers are kind of coming up in the Sean Payton offense and like Pat Bryant could push for that role.
42:15And I kind of think Courtland Sutton might be in one of them like last old man push seasons.
42:20But I agree. I looked at him for a long time.
42:23I want to look at Pierce just because I just can't get over pushing the ankle surgery two months later.
42:29And then I really like he just returned to practice and I just don't think his legs are the same size right
42:35now, which is a thing that happens. And I'm like, that means you're behind in all this.
42:39So I don't know. DK, who did you have?
42:42I had Pierce. I think it's just a combination of the injury really limiting his preseason, his offseason.
42:46The fact that I don't really know what to make of this offense.
42:50I don't know how good Daniel Jones is going to be.
42:53It's like there's just too many variables here that make me confident in having him in my lineup.
42:58Also, he was already going to be probably a high variance guy in terms of, I think he had like 47 catches for a thousand yards last year.
43:05He was one of the, like in terms of his yards per catch, one of the highest in the NFL.
43:10So you're really relying on those big plays. And I just don't want to live that life in fantasy.
43:16I think he's probably a real life good player, but there's just too many things working against him.
43:20I don't, I have like no plans to have him on any teams.
43:24Yeah. And also they just sent Keenan Allen, you know, Tyler Warren's there.
43:27He's infuriating. I think the combo is this range to your point earlier.
43:31Sometimes the average draft position, the rankings don't change as much as they should with news.
43:35And it's, we just, yeah, it's Mononga, Pierce, players who are hurt.
43:38Again, when week one starts, can you just have like one week without having injury problems?
43:43It's like, oh, I was going to play common guy.
43:45And then you're like, oh, he's hurt. I have to add someone that sucks.
43:49The only other thing. Oh no, I just totally blanked.
43:52In this round. What else are you looking at?
43:54I think Pierce is right. Oh, sorry. No, I found it.
43:57Joe Shad, who covers the Dolphins, just posted that the Dolphins.
44:00So the players, the teams made their cuts, right?
44:02And everyone cuts their players and then teams, you can claim them.
44:06The Dolphins had zero of the players they cut get claimed by the other 31 teams.
44:10Not one player is claimed. The Dolphins claimed seven players from other teams.
44:13It's just a reminder of how horrific. The Dolphins.
44:16Rebuilding. Okay, round nine. And this is the last one.
44:18Because after this, it's like all the players are trying to get more comfortable.
44:22Once you get much later, it's more about who you should take than who you shouldn't.
44:27Round nine is Ja'Cory Krosky-Merritt, a.k.a. Bill Merritt from Washington, who we like but is hurt also.
44:31Dalton Kincaid, tight end for the Bills, who is actually healthy but rarely.
44:35Isaiah Likely, tight end now for the Giants. Bo Nix, quarterback on the Broncos.
44:38Quentin Johnson, receiver for the Chargers. Matt Stafford, MVP of the Rams and why fantasy stupid is that him and Patrick Mahomes
44:44are in this round behind fucking Makai Lemon, the rookie receiver on the Eagles, are behind Dalton Kincaid.
44:49Jordan Addison, receiver on the Vikings. Kenneth Gainwell on the Buccaneers.
44:52Brock Purdy in the Niners and then Niners rookie Dijon Stribling, receiver.
44:55DK, who's your least favorite pick in this round?
44:58I put Addison. You don't like him. You hate him.
45:00It's just one of those things. I don't hate him.
45:03We talked about him before. He kind of reminds me of early career Calvin Ridley where he's opposite of a really good receiver in Justin Jefferson.
45:10And, you know, he is going to therefore benefit from single coverage and things like that.
45:14But he's been really touchdown dependent throughout his career.
45:17Don't know what to make of this offense with Kyler Murray.
45:20Don't know how the target rate's going to shake out.
45:22Addison has never been a player that's really demanded a high target rate.
45:26So it's in the same vein as Alec Pierce where you're just relying on these big plays and touchdowns.
45:31And now we don't know what to make of this offense.
45:34I'm just out. It's funny you said that because the one thing I'll say, I feel like Jordan Addison in the end
45:40zone off script with Kyler Murray is like pretty good.
45:42I feel like if scramble drill, Jefferson is going to get doubled no matter what.
45:46I mean, he got benched in London for, I mean, it seems like going out while he was in London because, you
45:52know, he was on probation in America, I think.
45:55But then he misses the first quarter and then catches the game in the touchdown.
45:59International waters. Right. You think I'm kidding. I didn't know the story behind that.
46:02But then he catches the game winning touchdown and like he's good in those situations.
46:06That's my only fear. But I get what you're saying.
46:09I feel like you hate him as much as he's like invisible.
46:12I think to me. Yeah, that's more. And it's also just I think this is a former first rounder.
46:17I had him in dynasty a bunch and he really just hasn't lived up to expectations or or my hopes.
46:23And I'm just like, I don't want him in any redraft because I already have him too much.
46:28And he's been a disappointment. That's just kind of where I am.
46:31I really just don't focus on him at all.
46:33I don't even think about drafting him. That's so funny.
46:36Did you have him there? No, I have the two people who I just never ever draft or even look at are Bill Merritt and Mekhi Lemon.
46:43Yeah. Younger players getting hurt stuff. Mekhi Lemon, it sucks because well, first of you had to do the Mekhi Lemon.
46:49The fucking snake. Yeah. I'll be doing that on the bench this season.
46:52I just Mekhi Lemon's a lot like Colston Loveland to me last year where Colston Loveland is a really good player, almost
46:58going at the exact same spot in drafts and a first round pick.
47:02But Lemon rookie, strike one rookie who missed like all the entire offseason program OTAs and most of training camp is strike two.
47:08And then strike three is like there's already questions about Jalen Hurts needing to throw to the middle of the field where
47:14Mekhi Lemon works and operates in places where Hurts doesn't have a great track, like a pretty bad track record of operating three strikes.
47:20And I'm like, well, I kind of want someone else to take Mekhi Lemon.
47:24Then cut him after seven weeks and then I'll add him.
47:27And I feel like Mekhi Lemon could be great this season, but like I'd rather add him for free in November or
47:33like you could get him for like a, I don't know, I think he's going to be very, I don't think he's
47:39going to play a lot in September. Yeah, this is like a great late round quarterback round.
47:43I also think guys like Quentin Johnston, even Isaiah Likely, Addison and Dijon Stribling, all these guys have legit upside to me.
47:49Mekhi Lemon because of all the things you just said, like the first month of the season, like I don't think you're
47:55even going to be able to consider starting him on your team.
47:58I would write down right now, like we're probably going to do trade targets.
48:02We try to do it about three weeks into the season because generally no one wants to trade after week one.
48:07Week two, you're kind of like, oh, and then if you start 0-3, that's when people really make trades.
48:13If you're 1-2 or 0-3 after three weeks. He's a good toss-in.
48:16Like you make another trade and it's like, well, can you add something else?
48:20Add Mekhi Lemon and he's barely done anything. They're like, sure.
48:22And then Mekhi Lemon can like, yeah, I don't want to pay for him myself.
48:26And then Bill Merritt, I agree. The washing, the offensive line, the injury, that's also strikes.
48:31For some reason. He's invisible. He's invisible. I just scroll past his name.
48:34If it was in the platform used, if it said Bill Merritt, would you feel better or worse?
48:39I think unfortunately I have, he was undrafted or was he, what was he?
48:43Was he in seventh round or something? He was a bizarre, he got caught up in the, he didn't even play his last year college.
48:50So he kind of like, it was a bizarre story.
48:52Yeah. Yeah. What was, he was seventh round or the 245th pick, but I honestly, him and Kyle Menunga, I think unfortunately
48:58suffer from late round syndrome, you know? Yeah. Where it's just like, you can't, I need to see it for twice as
49:04long to believe it half as much. Right. And if they weren't hurt, you'd be like, oh, you know what?
49:09We're just having late round syndrome, but they're late round and they're hurt and they're like, ah, I'm just emotional.
49:15Like your brain can make the case, but your heart's not at it.
49:18Yeah. Okay. So of all those, we're not going to go beyond this because there's no terrible picks.
49:23I mean, I don't think you should draft a kicker or defense early.
49:26I will say if you wanted to see us or Texans, we talked about this, but it's worth repeating.
49:32If you kind of dread having to add a defense each week and you're doing it at 1255 or you're like, oh
49:37my God, I didn't really, you're checking your lineup once a week.
49:41You can draft the Texans or Seahawks. That's fine.
49:43Don't do what Bill did and take a kicker early.
49:46Unless it's like your favorite team. I think that's the only thing I'd say after this is a terrible pick.
49:51Dave Chang taking Cam Little in the eighth round and the ringer draft, which is a thing that actually happened.
49:56If you didn't watch it, Dave Chang took Cam Little in the eighth round, the kicker from the Jaguars.
50:02Then Bill was like, oh no, kickers are going.
50:04He started to kick a run. The kicker run is happening.
50:07And that's why in fantasy, again, the argument for two quarterbacks is that two kickers went before Patrick Mahomes.
50:12Again, we wanted to do two quarterback and then Bill recommended one quarterback.
50:15I hate super flack. No one said anything. Well, like two people were like, yeah, that sounds great.
50:20We were like, okay, speak now or forever hold your peace.
50:23Nobody said anything. We showed up in the draft and then Dave Chang was like, what the fuck?
50:28He tried to start a mutiny. Started a vote.
50:30Everyone voted, including Bill, to change the two Bill meekly raises his hand.
50:34We're like, dude, what the fuck? Two weeks ago.
50:36Craig, you pulled up his text. It's like August 19th.
50:39He's like, fuck two QB, let's do one QB.
50:41And everyone's like, great. I literally turned to Dave and I was like, I'm not even allowed to have your phone number.
50:47I have to email your assistant. And I'm like, how about when I get your phone number, you can ask to change the rules during the fucking draft.
50:55I did like when you were halfway through the draft, you were like, so Chang, do I have to email your assistant to get your punishment?
51:02He's like, you'd be lucky to email my assistant.
51:04That was kind of awesome. He's going to talk shit.
51:07Do you think he'll join the group chat? Or do you think we should just add his assistant to the group chat?
51:13Come on. I'll add him. I'll add him. Okay, well, so you have 30.
51:17He has his number. I do have his number.
51:19You fucking tell me that? I was informed like, you know, I'll go over here.
51:23I'll add him. I'll call. I'll go fuck myself.
51:25He's like, I'll just call him at home. You let me hang out to try.

52:06It was great. Everyone loved it. Everyone listening was like, the audio's fantastic.
52:10Yeah, no problem. Everyone loved the audio version. Everyone loved the screaming over each other.
52:14Everyone in the league, all our bosses. Everyone's so happy with us.
52:17No one has any complaints. No, it was great.
52:19Perfect is a word I heard a lot. You can go and watch it on Netflix now.
52:24You can just type in Ringer Fantasy football show on Netflix.
52:27You can watch the live draft. The audio's on Spotify.
52:30And there's really no complaints. I would say went off with that hitch and everyone was thrilled.
52:34It was good. The golf thing, everybody was like, awesome idea.
52:37Really creative. Super fun. No issues there. Everyone thought that was great.
52:40Yeah. We decided the draft order by randomizing. People didn't like that it was random.
52:44Right. You know, people loved how we did it.
52:47They preferred picking out of a hat. We'll pick out of a hat next time.
52:51That's totally fine. The thing we have to explain other than the total, really, there was no conflict whatsoever.
52:56No. We have to, you guys have to explain what happened to me and the quarterbacks.
53:00This was fun. This was really funny because I actually think I want to defend Heifetz a little bit here where everybody,
53:06like hindsight, everyone's like, well, Heifetz was so smug that we had to punish him.
53:10At some point in the middle of the draft, somebody noted that Heifetz didn't have a quarterback yet.
53:15Because we've been saying wait on quarterback. Or you specifically have, I would say the most because you like Kyler Murray, whatever.
53:21Heifetz didn't have a quarterback and people were like, wow, Heifetz, what are you going to do?
53:25And Heifetz just kind of, with a little bit of snark, 30% snark, was like, I'll be fine.
53:30And then that was like, you think you're better than me came out?
53:34And then everybody was just like, Dave Chang, I think, led the charge of like, what if we all just took quarterbacks?
53:40Because Heifetz has the last pick in the draft.
53:42So he can't pick for basically 22 straight picks.
53:44And it happened. I think like 12, 13 quarterbacks went over the course of round 10 and 11 and Heifetz, by the
53:50time it came back to him, the only quarterbacks available were like, Bryce Young and Michael Penix as your first quarterback.
53:56They literally took, there were one, two, Kyler Murray, Patrick Mahomes, Malik Willis, Baker Mayfield, Jordan Love, Brock Purdy, and Bo Nix
54:02went consecutively just because people were so tired. And then it kept going.
54:05I have three quarterbacks on my single league. Jared Goff, Darnold, literally in a row.
54:09I've never seen anything organized quicker. It's like the Steelers rostering four quarterbacks.
54:13People were like, fuck it, well maybe I'll need a third.
54:16Schuch, Stroud, Brissett, Daniel Jones, all went, and then Heifetz was left with Bryce.
54:19You ended up with, you took Bryce Young in the 11th, Michael Penix in the 13th, and Mr.
54:24Irrelevant was Cam Warden. Because I was thinking, I've said Penix to get hurt so many times that, man, I bet I jinxed it.
54:31The irony is, he's going to be fine. Bryce Young will probably be pretty good.
54:35I came away more impressed. I think it's, I actually felt even stronger you should go one quarterback because I'm like, I
54:41literally, the entire league on camera colluded against me.
54:43And I'm like, and it was fun. I'll be fine.
54:46It was super fun. You had a great time.
54:48I'm like, I'm going to be fine. I get the whole administration thing right now.
54:52Collusion's fun. Collusion's kind of sick. Whatever, you're going to die one day.
54:56Collude. Collude. Pro collude. Who's going to stop us?
54:58Yeah. Yeah, fuck that guy. If you're 80, start colluding.
55:01You know what I mean? Whatever. Why not? A lot of 80-year-olds had you on that.
55:05But that was fun. That was a good time.
55:07What round was that? Like the 10th round? It was the 8th round.
55:11He took Young in the 11th. My one mistake was I do wish I had taken Kyler instead of George Kittle there,
55:17but I also did think I'd get away with it.
55:19I won't lie. I kind of didn't anticipate that.
55:22You were pushing your luck. You shouldn't have been so smug.
55:25I did. He was pretty smug. Passing round 10 without a quarterback is quite late.
55:29I was hosting the goddamn show. Oh, stop. I should have taken Kyler.
55:32You should have. The fucking 10th. But I also regret then taking, I should have just taken no quarterbacks and be like, fuck you guys.
55:39I'll be fine. I will say, I did feel like that, you know the 50 cent meme?
55:44He's like, what did he say fuck me for?
55:46Yeah. Like I just, everyone's just like so mad.
55:48I'm like, this is not one of, when I was like, I'll be fine.
55:52That was not one of the 100 meanest things anyone said in that thing.
55:56That is true. The heinous comments that were made that everyone then coalesced around that moment.
56:00I was like, what is that possible? The group clearly needed something to bond over and we found it.
56:05It was like hatred. Hatred. You handled it like a champ as you always do.
56:09I've always respected that about you. And you'll probably, and you know what?
56:13He's going to be fine. Because you waited, your receivers are awesome.
56:16You're running backs, like you have a very deep team now because you waited on the quarterback.
56:21we should go over a team. So, God, the voice, oh, that was the other funny thing.
56:25You turn on the Netflix draft for one thing and one thing only.
56:29Literally the beginning is, the beginning was like, welcome to your fantasy football league live drafts powered by Verizon.
56:34And I voice cracked. That was tough, yeah. Verizon?
56:36I heard Verizon pulled their money. Yeah, no, so we, yeah, we owe Verizon a tremendous amount of money because I voice cracked on the ad read.
56:43So, with that said, what do we do? Do we just read all these names or is that, I don't know.
56:49I know. I'm like, do I go through my team?
56:52Maybe just the highlights. Do people care about our teams?
56:54I don't know. So, I don't know. I think the obvious answer is boring.
56:58You can look at it online. Go to our Instagram.
57:01Do we want to do punishments? Let's do it.
57:03Yeah. So again, we're doing PYOP, pick your own punishment.
57:06And again, if you don't have it in your league, it's basically started because we feel that it's so hard when, once
57:12you're like, are no longer a shithead person in your young 20s, it's hard unless you have like a very similar friend
57:18group to get a punishment that's strenuous enough that people are scared of it but hard enough everyone will actually do it.
57:23And everyone's, you know, everyone knows people have been in a league where someone just won't do the punishment.
57:29And it like, kind of phrased the group. Like, it really does pull at the strings of the cord because people are mad they won't do it.
57:36There was literally, did you see the- Van was joking the entire time, by the way.
57:40I was sitting next to Van in this draft and he was like, he was saying, well, it doesn't really matter what
57:46I pick because I'm not doing it. Which is why Sal's the enforcer this year.
57:50So, did you see, wait, The Onion had an article, article today, like its actual thing.
57:54They said, rest of Fantasy League losing patience with member who has other things going on.
57:59I mean, it's hard. That hits hard. So, we could all select our own punishments.
58:03Do you want me to go through what everybody picked?
58:05Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, so in the seventh round, Sean Fantasy took no punishment.
58:09Yeah, he got ahead of that one. I mean, after that, questionable.
58:12We have Chris Ryan selected he has to go trick-or-treating, not on Halloween, and get 10 items from 10 different homes.
58:18He was like, I can't wait to do this.
58:21I'm going to go say hi to all my neighbors.
58:23Yeah, he's like, I like my neighbors. He's like, that's fine with me.
58:27He's like, the winner's choosing. Bill has to listen to Pat McAfee's album on repeat for the opening slate of games.
58:32He chose that, yeah. Joe House has to get in full clown makeup and do like five ringer pots.
58:37Yeah. We're totally on clown car, no, he has to do everyone's pot.
58:41What is the car wash? I don't understand what that is.
58:44So, you know, you go to ESPN. At ESPN, if you go at like every slot in the TV show, if you're
58:50guesting on everything, it's like you do the whole thing.
58:52So, clown car wash. Got it. Clown car wash is, we're going to get actual professional clown makeup for Joe House, and
58:58then he has to hit everybody's podcast. Which honestly sounds great.
59:01I really want that to happen. I would have done that.
59:04I think he will do it too. for sure he will.
59:07Hot dogs over the course of one month. Which we started out saying it was going to be 77 hot dogs in one week.
59:14In one week. And that would kill people. Correct.
59:16I still think we should have done the week.
59:18You literally changed it. We don't want deaths. We, we, we.
59:21I disagreed with it, but I was like, if you want to do it, do it.
59:26You could have done it. He went from a week to a month.
59:29There's some gray area there. in two weeks. Now we're mad at him for not doing it.
59:34Mal seems excited about it. Sorry to fucking listen to you.
59:37Being the host and being the commissioner fucking thankless job.
59:39Tate, Tate selected, he has to, he cannot watch the Super Bowl live and instead has to watch a movie of the winners choosing.
59:46Which is like kind of brutal. Yeah. I think it's not a coincidence that Tate's team sucks.
59:50Sure. Like Tate, he's a Panthers fan, right? Yeah.
59:53Like I mean, that would be pretty shocking. Like I think Mallory and the Ravens, we were like, oh, we'll have salad for this.
59:59The Panthers went to the playoffs last year. We're like, sure.
60:02Okay. Shut up. Come on. Just saying. Just saying.
60:04I actually don't think Mallory, like we were like, oh, Sal will enforce these and we will.
60:09I think we would have to like get Mallory arrested and put in jail for her to actually not watch the Super
60:15Bowl and even in jail she'd figure it out.
60:17Dave Chang has to eat the first chapter of Terry Bradshaw's book.
60:21Literally the pages of the book. He explained to us how he was going to prepare it.
60:25He's going to make what he called a burnt sauce.
60:28Yeah. So burn up the papers, yeah, the pages and then turn it into a sauce somehow.
60:32I don't know how that works. And he's like, I'll put it over a veal chop and people can eat it.
60:38I think we should make him just eat it.
60:40Did he? He invited us on our show to try that?
60:43I can't remember. Yeah, we'll have to go on Go check the tape.
60:47I'll text him. Yeah, actually, will you? Next time you're over at his house, will you ask?
60:51Van selected the vanilla ice eyebrow slits. He wanted that one.
60:54into his eyebrow? Yeah. He might do that anyway.
60:57That's why we had to do the punishment thing.
60:59That's my nightmare. Oh, that one? Look at my eyebrows.
61:02Yeah, yeah, yeah. My nightmare is like slits in my eyebrow and I do it.
61:06Who cares? Because it takes a long time. I have bushy eyebrows too.
61:09What if it never came back? Well, then I'd become vanilla ice.
61:12Here's the thing. Do you really have any sense of how long I would take?
61:16Like your hair, if I shaved your head right now, you kind of know how long until you're normal.
61:22Craig, your phone's ringing. Oh yeah, pick it up.
61:24Is that Dave? Matt Bellen is calling me. Oh, tell him he's on the show.
61:28No. He thought about it. He thought about it.
61:30To continue. Do you want me to answer or be like Craig's assistant?
61:34No. Oh. DK, if he loses, has to wear a bald, or sorry, a toupee on the show for a week.
61:40Right. Which I think is awesome. That would be amazing, yeah.
61:42I think you actually were really excited to pilot just going to Turkey and you're like, It's going to be amazing.
61:48I want to have hair again. Would you actually go, would you do the Turkey thing?
61:52Theoretically, I'm not like against it. I feel like I'm too far gone at this point.
61:57Let's say that we got like, someone reached out and we got like a sponsor or something.
62:01They were like, we'll fly DK for free. Turkish Airlines.
62:04It's hooked up. We can make content out of it.
62:07I feel like Barstool's done stuff like that. You could also just do it in America.
62:11People don't, you don't have to go to Turkey.
62:13Yeah, that's true. What do you do in America?
62:16Would you get hair plugs? Wait, they have doctors here?
62:18Isn't that Turkey thing just because it's cheap? It's cheaper, yeah.
62:21It's not like they're better at it. I don't know anything about it.
62:25I just saw the memes. Well, they have a lot of reps.
62:28That's true, but like, you don't think you could get a good one in fucking Beverly Hills?
62:33Like, where did Jason Witten go? Jason Witten. Well, look, if you pay for it and you get it all, sure, I'll do it.
62:39I don't think I'm able to do it. I feel like I'm too bald at this point.
62:44What do you mean? Well, I think it's like 10, 20 grand?
62:47I don't know what the prices are, but it's like a hip replacement in Belgium is like 12 grand and in America, it's like 60.
62:53Fussel, very difficult logistically because I think it takes several months for your hair to grow back.
62:58It would take a long time. And it looks horrific.
63:01You can't show your head. Right. I've been to Istanbul.
63:03Istanbul's nuts. I would have to wear some sort of weird contraption on my head because I don't think you put a
63:09hat on at first because it's going to... You're not the first person to do this.
63:14No, I know. I'm just saying now. Google says that Turkey is two to five grand and then in America it's 10 to 30.
63:20Oh, okay. Oh, my God. Because then you also get to actually go to Turkey, which is kind of cool.
63:25Yeah. Would you do it? If we arranged this for you, would you do it?
63:29I mean, sure. No, I'm actually just curious. Would you go to Turkey and get the transplant?
63:34Maybe. I would consider it. Wow. Have you thought...
63:36What is... It's not that much money. We could probably crowdsource $3,000 in a day.
63:40I wouldn't get... Bring hair back. So DK took the toupee.
63:43I don't know. I bring it up because... I don't know if I'm being serious or not.
63:48I can't tell. I saw the face you made when you took the toupee punishment and I saw like this flicker in your eye.
63:54I'm like, he's testing this. He wants to lose.
63:57I miss my hair. My son Calvin has like the greatest head of hair ever too.
64:01It's just like constantly laughing me in the face every time I see him.
64:05Glowing in the wind. He has like fucking Robert Redford, like feathered.
64:08Feathered, wavy hair. Feathered and lethal. I took, I have to, the next draft, I have to serve everybody hot dogs and
64:14cold beer while I drink hot beer and eat cold hot dogs.
64:17And then Danny Heifetz has to dress as the hungry caterpillar and eat everything he ate.
64:21As he hosts. I just have a, I see in the fire, I know I'm going to come in last and I'm going to be the hungry caterpillar.
64:29That will be incredible. I know what's happening. That will be incredible.
64:32I just, I don't know. I can just tell I'm going to be the hungry caterpillar next year.
64:37Could be, that could be a lot worse. That one's pretty harmless.
64:40I don't know. It's funny and harmless. So yeah, what does he eat in the book?
64:44He eats like pizza and fruit. So it's an apple, two pears, three plums, four strawberries, five oranges.
64:49Is there no pizza? Cake, ice cream cone, pickles, Swiss cheese, salami, lollipop, cherry pie, sausage, cupcake, watermelon, and then a leaf.
64:55That sounds great. That's a lot of good stuff.
64:57That's all good food. Ending with a leaf is funny.
65:00Yeah. Well, you could eat like a piece of arugula or something.
65:03Yeah. So we'll see. I don't know. So those are the punishments.
65:07So do you think anyone will actually do them?
65:09Well, I think Sal actually will shame people. I really believe Sal will successfully shame people if they don't do them.
65:15Yeah. Sal's got to put Sal to work on that.
65:17Whoever loses. He's the enforcer. Yeah. The thing that always happens to me in drafts is I always tell myself I'm going
65:23to wait on quarterback and then I don't. That is a good lesson.
65:27The other lesson is I mean obviously when you're drafting things are just a little different than when you actually rank stuff.
65:33Yeah. And you have to sort of like when you're on the clock and you really have to make a pick.
65:38Sometimes it's different than how you have things ranked.
65:41So we have to like switch things. Because I think sometimes you assume that everybody drafts just like you.
65:46Yeah. You know. And sometimes people just come in with their own convictions and are like I'm taking Cam Little in the eighth round.
65:52I'm taking a quarterback in the second round. I don't give a fuck.
65:56And then once one person does that it changes the trajectory of the draft because then everyone's like oh shit quarterbacks are now.
66:02Yep. And then it's all different. So you do have to be nimble.
66:05That is the best advice is like don't be afraid to abandon your strategy and be nimble.
66:10Yeah. I mean I don't know if I would tell people to abandon their strategy but.
66:14But like sometimes. But being nimble for sure I think it is important.
66:18I don't know. Maybe abandon is too strong a word or something.
66:21Well pivot. Yeah. Give up on your principles. Just give up.
66:24Yeah. I don't know if I told you. Abandon is just a strong word.
66:27Abandon the shit. This is a fucking fantasy football draft all right.
66:31The word abandon is fine. Abandon your strategy. That's strong language for such a serious thing.
66:35Yeah Craig be careful. I think. Yeah. I think.
66:37We've been saying running back running back. You know.
66:40You hope your running backs end up healthy and you do you know want to take running backs later that like you know.
66:46Yeah. Like if the first. Prop you up. If all the running backs are gone and you're staring at CeeDee Lamb and
66:52fucking Jess and Jefferson you're like well I can't do that because.
66:55That's the thing. I need to take running backs.
66:57It's like no. If you go. The advantage to taking.
67:00If I take in like you know John Taylor and like and I again the 12th pick I'll take Jonathan Taylor and
67:06like CeeDee Lamb is that you're just more flexible later.
67:09Like you are more flexible later. And the other part I'd remind is that this league starts three receivers and the actual
67:15most important thing I'd impress upon people is like this is a 12 team league that starts three receivers in a flex.
67:20So that means at a minimum 36 receivers start every week and a maximum of 48 receivers.
67:25But if you're in a 10 team league where there's like two starting receivers that means there's only 20 receivers starting each
67:31week and if there's one flex like a max of 30.
67:34So it's probably like going to be 25 receivers each week.
67:37The difference between starting 25 each week and 40 is the difference between like whether Jamison Williams is even in a starting lineup.
67:43You know what I mean? Like he might be on someone's bench if you're in a 10 team league two receivers.
67:49So that it's it's so much more important I think to go running back running back if you only start two.
67:54But if you're in a three receiver league it's way more okay to like you know it just change it up.
68:00Yeah. It's just so much more important. I think we all had the confidence that we could find guys later.
68:05Yeah. I agree with what you're saying but also running back is so shallow and I think wide receiver is so deep.
68:11I still think you can get away with getting it.
68:14Yeah. Like waiting on receivers even if you have to start four of them.
68:18And that's why we all did it so hopefully all our running backs don't get hurt and we get fucked.
68:23Right. Right. It'll be a good year. It'll be a good year.
68:26It'll be fun. We got rid of the losers bracket now it's regular season loser is the loser which would not have been me last year.
68:33Right. I was going to say that that was the one change we listened to.
68:37I think I was like seven and six but whatever.
68:40I didn't bitch about it. How do you guys do this?
68:43Everyone's mad about this in the league but they basically were like the loser who does the punishment should be last place at the end of 14 weeks.
68:50By record. And by record. And we do a toilet bowl where the final people in the bottom can compete during the
68:56playoffs because we're like you're basically telling everyone just check out.
68:59Yeah. It's like something to do. It's like keeps waivers alive.
69:02It just keeps people interested longer I think. I understand both ways to be honest.
69:06Sometimes it's nice to be like you know what I'm fucking done.
69:09I'm 11th. That's how I'm in our baseball league.
69:12Yeah. Well maybe I'm wrong. I won again. Craig is on a fucking tear.
69:15Craig's mad because there's not. Except if you missed the playoffs.
69:18I'm 12 and 9. I missed the playoffs. It's fine.
69:21You're not upset about it. Doesn't even care. I put my heart and soul into that team.
69:2612 and 9 you missed the playoffs and then what was your record when you came in last place?
69:31I think I have the same record as Mal.
69:337 and 7. That is you and Val had the same.
69:36Mal won and you lost. Yeah. I see where they were.
69:39And then Chris got second and he made one move all year.
69:42Correct. Well the irony is we changed your. I will say though.
69:45Yeah. You were hoisted by your own petard there.
69:48What do you mean? Foisted. Foisted? Foisted. I don't know what a petard is bro.
69:52It's hoisted. Is it hoisted? Because you get blown up by a grenade.
69:55You get hoisted. Is that what a petard is?
69:58I don't know what a petard is. It's like a bomb.
70:01I thought it was a stabby thing. Either way the reason you missed the playoffs.
70:05It is hoisted. You're right. You had a rule that you wanted us to do which we ditched this year.
70:10Without telling you. But the top four teams. Oh yeah.
70:13I do. Made the playoffs. And then the fifth and sixth slots go to the high scoring points.
70:18I do think that makes it for a more accurate top six.
70:21Well that's why you missed the playoffs. But I wouldn't have won the league anyway.
70:25But yeah. Well you wouldn't have lost the league.
70:27Okay. Wait. Hold on. What? Are we doing that again?
70:30No. Okay. Good. We discussed this for like 20 minutes.
70:33We should make it clear. No we're not doing it again.
70:35We did. In writing. Did you? With a message that we drafted together.
70:39Do you have any short term memory? I mean I remember that message but I couldn't remember if you put that on there.
70:45I do think that is a good rule. I think that's better for like a league where it's like a work league
70:51where maybe people aren't paying attention as much. It just sounds complicated.
70:54In a league where we cannot get anyone to read anything we send them for any purpose.
70:59It's hard to be like. It's a custom playoff rule but I do like it generally.
71:03Right. Correct. Okay. I have one email I want to read.
71:06Great. And it is from D-Bone. D-Bone. Who says long time fan first time emailer.
71:10Heifetz's take that Dajon Love the 49ers scammer guy workout probably would have looked real in real life is completely wrong because
71:16I have friends who were playing in a volleyball league on that beach when he was playing when he was doing the drills.
71:22No way. He sent Evan. It's true. And he said and they saw him working out and in the moment they were
71:28texting and saying we cannot believe how bad this guy is at football.
71:31He looked terrible. And he confirmed. I can't do his name but he literally has evidence that like he was there and
71:37his friend they literally were just like shocked at how bad this guy was at football on the beach.
71:42Yeah. He looked like crap. That's really amazing. I'm worried about his.
71:46He looked like crap. The ball knowledge. I'm worried about his future football analysis if he was like his tape looks fine to me.
71:52Well not the tape. You know what's funny? Sign him.
71:55You know what's funny? You know what the part he nailed is?
71:58I remember when I worked because I used to work for the Washington franchise and not a job of mine but one
72:04of the things you monitor their social media just like you kind of look at it.
72:08Dude the way he talks on Instagram live I have to say it's exactly like how every back end roster player does.
72:14Like the amount like those guys at the bottom of the roster they are all on Snapchat and Instagram live while they're driving.
72:20But you're. And just narrating. And it's just funny.
72:23But now you're pivoting and saying like oh he was just believable on.
72:26You were like he looked like an NFL player on Sam.
72:29His routes were fucking tight. He looks terrible. I'm just saying I kind of just was wondering if in the moment people
72:35would be like I bet he's on the Niners.
72:37I'm like I don't know. I was just curious how many people he could have gotten.
72:42Sure. Again I think somebody who doesn't watch football probably would not know.
72:45I will say did you see the video. But that's not you.
72:48Did you see. Did you see the video where he said I'm the majority shareholder of a Gucci store on Saks Fifth Avenue?
72:54No. He's like but Saks Fifth Avenue is not a street.
72:57It's Saks. It's a store. Oh it's a store.
73:00It's like he wasn't even he was really just shooting from the hip.
73:03Can you be a shareholder and an individual? Is he in San Diego?
73:07San Diego. I think some LA and then also San Francisco.
73:10I think this one was in San Diego. I forget where.
73:13But so is he going to jail? Like what's.
73:15Yeah. I mean the FBI made like a point of it.
73:18Yeah. Yeah. A good lesson. So you. So if you're young don't steal money.
73:22But if you're old it doesn't matter. You can still impersonate a Niner.
73:25That's fine. You just can't scam people. Right. Yeah.
73:28You can pretend to be a Niner. Like you know.
73:30Well legally. Legally you can pretend to be a 49er right?
73:33I mean sure. That's an interesting question. I don't know.
73:36That wouldn't be illegal. What's your end game? There is.
73:39Just kind of. Just pretending. You want people to believe you're a Niner.
73:42That's it. Well I told you guys. I pitched a thing when Jimmy Garoppolo.
73:46We said I was on the Chargers. Remember? Right.
73:48That's true. I was. That's true. So I hope it's not illegal.
73:51That's a fact. Yeah. Well that wasn't a lie.
73:54But if it were. Yeah. Oh I've got you now.
73:57Move in boys. Get him. He said it. Ladies and gentlemen.
74:00Do you remember I wanted to send Zach Schwartz to San Francisco?
74:03Because we joked that it looked like Jimmy G.
74:05And then Jimmy G was traded to the Niners.
74:08And I was like. I bet we could pull this off.
74:11Sure. We could have made billions on that. Sure.
74:13We could have. Yeah. But we didn't. If I put on like 15 pounds of muscle.
74:17And just showed up to random bars in San Francisco.
74:20The year Brock Purdy was drafted. Before he played.
74:22And I was like. I'm Brock Purdy. Maybe I get away with that.
74:26Well. The answer to your question is. The guy who did this for real.
74:30Is Jabba Chamberlain. Was this like phenom pitcher for the Yankees.
74:32I remember him. He kind of flamed out. But he was like.
74:36Briefly like the most famous athlete in New York City.
74:38And there was this guy that looked exactly like him.
74:41And on days the Yankees were not playing. For like a whole summer.
74:45This guy just like picked up women. Saying he was Jabba Chamberlain.
74:48And like it worked. Like for like six months.
74:50And then he like fucked up. There was a rain delight.
74:53He went during a game. And they were like.
74:56No. And then like he was pitching. And then I don't know what happened to that guy.
75:00But yeah. People. Yeah. That's like. Have you ever seen the movie Game Night?
75:04Yeah. Not forever. Oh. It's so good. But there's a great joke.
75:07No. It's Kyle Chandler and Bateman. Oh. Rachel McAdams.
75:09It's a really good movie. Lamorne Morris from New Girl.
75:12There's a great joke about how Lamorne Morris' wife.
75:15Who they've been together for like their whole lives.
75:17They met when they were like in high school.
75:19They took a break for like six months. And he finds out that she slept with a celebrity in the six month break.
75:26And he's like obsessed with finding out who it is.
75:28And she eventually reveals it's Denzel Washington. Oh. I remember.
75:31And it wasn't him at all. I don't believe you.
75:34She's like sorry. Like I know you're upset. But it was Denzel.
75:37He was like prove it. And then she showed a photo.
75:40And he's like that's not him. She's like what do you mean?
75:43He's like that's not Denzel Washington. Yeah. It's so good.
75:46It's a great bit. And then she like recounts the whole story with him.
75:49She's like we went back to his condo. And he's like condo?
75:53Oh. It was very funny. Anyway game night. Yeah.
75:55Great movie. Okay. So. Fantasyfootball.thereener.com. We'll update our rankings there.
75:58And yeah. Episodes in the season. And we have more episodes coming this week.
76:01And then also next Monday. Take Purge. Take Purge time.
76:04We are recording that at the end of this week.
76:07In person. We're gearing up. How many of them do you have right now in the holster?
76:11Like three or four. Me too. And then also if you want to go to our discord.
76:16I got one really good one I think. You can email us Take Purges.
76:20And also in our discord we have a little Take Purge channel.
76:23That's open for one week and one week only.
76:25You can go to the Rigor Fantasy Discord. Okay.
76:28So thank you to DK. Thank you to Craig.
76:30Thank you to Nikhil and Cam and Austin and.
76:32Abu. CT, Abu. Everyone in there. Thank you. But most of all.
76:36Thank you Lord. Lord. Millennial Banger Summer is over.
76:38It's September 1st. We argued before we started. Is it fall or is it not fall?
76:42I know it's technically not fall but it's September which feels like fall.
76:46So Millennial Banger Summer is over and DK and I were discussing what the new theme month is going to be.
76:51I don't know if we've landed on a title.
76:54It's something in the realm of like the 80s were fucking crazy.
76:57Craig and I constantly joke about how the 80s were the apex of American culture.
77:01Yeah. We love the 80s. In all ways. Like I'm not saying everything was better but I also kind of am.
77:07But it was just like it was so authentically itself.
77:09It's very distinctive. Yes. It was like unabashedly itself in a way that I just think is fascinating.
77:14So we're going to do like the songs that just feel super 80s.
77:18Totally. I'm going to kick it off. Okay. And we can like it doesn't have to be a specific genre.
77:23It just be something that really reminds me of the 80s.
77:26But to me the song that I immediately thought of was White Snake.
77:30Oh. Here I go again. And here I go again on my own.
77:33Banger. Also White Snake. Sure. For some reason one of the greatest rock names I've ever heard.
77:38That feels like a fake. Will Ferrell made an 80s like rock movie.
77:41Their band would be White Snake. Yeah. Yeah. A hundred percent.
77:44I don't know. What's your relationship with the song?
77:46I feel like it's in the movie. Old school.
77:49Oh maybe. God. You just look at the font of White Snake.
77:52All these guys still have crazy hair. My relationship.
77:54They're all. Yeah. Okay. They look exactly like what I thought they'd look like.
77:58They all look like this. All these like long hair.
78:01Hair bands. I really like. I really like first of all with this song.
78:05How it. How it varies so much on. Like.
78:07It starts kind of slow. It's kind of like.
78:09Very ballad. Moody. Ballad is a great. It's a big chorus.
78:12And then you like. Da da. You know. Here I go again on my own.
78:16It's fucking great. All of the. You're going to probably.
78:19All these songs that we're going to talk about are just songs that.
78:23I don't know through pop culture. My dad liked all that music.
78:26Yeah. And it was just like random CDs. Yeah.
78:28Of just like greatest 80s hits. And it's like white snake.
78:31Here I go again. And it's. I was lucky enough to live through this.
78:35This song was written and released in the year I was born.
78:38When? 1982. 1982 baby. Off the album. Sinners and.
78:40Saints and Sinners. By white snake. See that just wasn't even taken.
78:44That's incredible. Yeah. The B side. Bloody luxury. White snake was a British band.
78:47Oh. This is a guy from Deep Purple. Going down the only road I've ever known.
78:52Hold on. Hold on. Like a drifter. I was born to walk alone.
78:55I feel like a lot of. Pow. Pow. A lot of the power ballads from this era too are about like.
79:01Lone wolf guys. Right. Wait. This is the smoke on the water guy.
79:04I never realized that. Oh. I didn't know that either.
79:07He left Deep Purple. And I always thought Deep Purple was like a one at wonder from Smoke on the Water.
79:13But he did White Snake. I didn't know that.
79:15Didn't know that either. It's about a fire in Switzerland at a music festival.
79:19Smoke on the water. Really? I went to. You know what?
79:22Fuck you. Kind of cramping. No. It's fine. I got sensitive about it.
79:25What are you talking about? I didn't know that.
79:28That's cool. But. White Snake. White Snake. It's better than Deep Purple.
79:31Does your guys' music taste ebb and flow? Because mine really does.
79:34Oh yeah. Yeah. I get bored of stuff. I really have waves.
79:37Yeah. Like. Now I'm listening to like Neil Diamond for some reason.
79:40Really? You know? I'm getting into that. I don't know why.
79:43And then lately. I forget what movie we did.
79:46Because it wasn't. We did Boogie Nights a million years ago on Overwatch.
79:49But there was something where Bill brought up the 80s soundtrack of a movie.
79:53And now I'm kind of like. Oh. Those like kind of like.
79:56Ridiculous over the top hair metal 80s songs are great.
79:59They're so good. They're awesome. You know? They're so good.
80:02They just kind of rev you up. They're great driving music.
80:05Oh yeah. What was with the hair and the hairband?
80:07Like why did all these guys look like that?
80:10I don't know. I'm not sure. Because it looks fucking awesome.
80:13I don't know. Do you think that's going to come back?
80:16I don't think anything anymore comes back in full swing.
80:18It just comes back in fractions. Like I think right now.
80:21We are living in like a combination of every era.
80:24You know what I mean? Right. Like there is an artist recreating every genre right now.
80:28You know? Popularly. I feel like it's like. You can find somebody making 90s music, 80s music, 70s style music.
80:34Dressing 70s, 80s or 90s. 2000s. Yeah. Like Olivia Rodrigo is making like early 2000s punk right now.
80:38Like I feel like everyone's just like doing everything.
80:41What was the Future Nostalgia album? Dulepa? Yeah. That one has.
80:44It's like. Very 80s. References a lot of 80s songs.
80:46Yeah. I will say like the fashion that I grew up wearing is now back.
80:50Yeah. Like the big, big jeans. I mean, you had to keep the Carter shorts.
80:54You know the band Greta Van Fleet? Yeah. Yeah.
80:57I mean, they're just like. I think you showed me them.
81:00Look at them now. I mean, they look like they're straight out of the 70s.
81:04That's a top tier thought it was a person, but it was a band.
81:08Yeah. Yeah. That was like my. That's my number one pick for thought it was a person.
81:12The opposite thought it was a band, but it's a person.
81:15Tame Impala. Yes. Definitely thought that was a band.
81:17Oh, yeah. It's just a guy named Kevin. Australia.
81:20A guy named Kevin. You've seen the video of him and Travis Scott.
81:23And Travis Scott's like, who is this guy? This guy's good.
81:26Oh, really? Yeah. Kevin. Kevin Parker. Yeah. God, look at these guys.
81:29Who, Whitesnake? Yeah. What an awesome name. Whitesnake. I just can't.
81:32I can't say enough about the name. They all have long perms.
81:36Big leather jackets. Crazy hair. Just acid wash. Everything's acid wash.
81:39So how do you. I feel like I don't know anything about a perm.
81:42Like how long does the hair. How much maintenance does the perm require?
81:46It's a great question. I know nothing about perms.
81:48I think it lasts a little while. I think you get.
81:51Like a week. A couple weeks? No, I think weeks.
81:54Yeah, a couple weeks. It requires so much work.
81:56Can you shower? Like how does it work? No, I don't.
81:59I don't think so. No, I don't think so.
82:02You know when like women used to say like.
82:04Like you get your hair set? Oh, yeah. I don't think you would.
82:08I think you would go weeks without touching or washing your hair.
82:11Because that was the point. Three to six months I'm seeing.
82:14Really? On the Google. Six months. Like when you get like the updo.
82:17You know, like back in like the 50s. Or even Ben Stiller's Starsky and Hutch style, you know.
82:22Yeah. Yeah. But we just did Apollo 13 on the rewatchables.
82:25And like the women's hair in those movies. Like I think they just sit that way for weeks.
82:30Both of my parents had perms. Really? Yeah. No way.
82:32Yeah. I love that. Can you email. Somebody email us at ringerfantasyfootball at gmail.com.
82:36Oh, that would have been a great punishment. I want to know about perms.
82:40Somebody has to get a perm. Oh. Write it down.
82:43I'll write it down. Next year. Next year. Dude, who would be the funniest to get a perm?
82:47No one really has long hair in the group.
82:50That's a really good question. Good question. Who has the longest hair?
82:53Other than Mowry. Honestly, I could probably get my hair the longest of anybody.
82:57Hyphens, you gotta do a perm. You with a perm would be fucking elite.
83:01I'm just saying. I'm not being mean. But I'm like, it's a short list of people that could do a perm in this league.
83:07Yeah. It's kind of just you and me. Maybe Sean.
83:10Sean. Mal. Well, yeah. Maybe Bill. Bill could do it.
83:12Maybe Bill could do it. Grow his hair out a little.
83:15Yeah. Hyphens, you gotta get a perm, man. What?
83:18Should I double down and get a perm? Why is it called that?
83:21Permanent? It's not permanent. Short for permanent, maybe? I bet that they were gonna call it a temp and then no one got it.
83:28So they got it a perm. It's a permanent curl?
83:30They wanted to undersell the maintenance, yeah. It feels like...
83:33Why is it called a perm? Because it permanently alters the structure of the treated hair strands.
83:38Short for permanent wave. So it perms the hair, but then the hair grows out.
83:42I guess. I don't know. I feel like people don't do perms that much anymore.
83:46No. It's not a thing. Oh, even like that feathered, like Farrah Fawcett hair.
83:49Crimped? Remember crimps? Yeah. That reminds me of the 80s.
83:52Yeah. God, the 80s. Yeah, let us know about perms.
83:55I wanna learn. Oh, the 80s. The 80s were the best.
83:58Go just pull up videos from the 80s, dude.
84:00Bill sometimes will put stuff on his Instagram and it'll be like Danny DeVito with Earthwind and Fire on stage.
84:05I'm like, what is going on? This is fucking awesome.
84:08The 80s were a fucking time, man. They were like teams making albums back then.
84:12You know what I mean? Yeah. Oh my God.
84:14It's like the Chicago Bears album. Yeah. Like, what the fuck is going on?
84:18I think the Rams made one. Email us things that happened in the 80s that we wouldn't believe.
84:23Email us other things we don't know about in the 80s.
84:26Pleated jeans. Pleated acid wash jeans. Yeah. Tapered. It's a different time.
