Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveProjection10:52

Amon-Ra St. Brown is described as a 'fantasy points ATM' and a safe, consistent pick. He has averaged 15 points per game over the last four seasons, ranking third among all receivers, and has achieved three consecutive seasons with at least 10 touchdowns, 100 catches, and 1,000 yards.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveSleeper45:55

Blake Corum is viewed as a high-upside 'Powerball ticket' in the eighth round. While he currently operates in a committee, the source notes that any injury to Kyron Williams would immediately vault Corum into top-five running back territory, making him a valuable stash.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveBreakout13:41

Chase Brown is highlighted as a second-round target due to his combination of floor and ceiling. He is expected to be heavily involved in the passing game and faces little competition in the Bengals' backfield, making him a strong value relative to his ADP.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveSleeper72:37

Rodriguez has a small but legitimate chance to outright win the starting running back job for the Jaguars.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveProjection58:34

Christian Watson is a strong pick, ranking third in yards per route run over the last two seasons. With competition from Dobbs and Wicks gone, the source expects his target share to increase significantly.

Insight page

De'Zhaun Stribling

PositiveBreakout53:11

Stribling is a high-upside pick who has shown incredible chemistry with Brock Purdy in the preseason; he could legitimately lead the team in targets if McCaffrey or other veterans miss time.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveValue13:51

Despite a poor red-zone performance last year, Derrick Henry remains a high-value target. The source argues that his short-yardage efficiency should improve with better guard play, and his track record—3,500 yards and 34 touchdowns over his last 34 games—makes him an elite option.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveProjection28:39

DeVonta Smith is highlighted as a potential focal point of the Eagles' passing offense. The source suggests he could command a significant target share, making him a reliable option in the third round compared to other injury-prone players.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveValue50:30

Drake May is highlighted as a strong value pick outside the top 50, with the source noting his high-end production as a quarterback in real-life and fantasy contexts.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeInjury52:24

The source is skeptical of drafting George Kittle, noting he is 31 years old and returning from a significant injury in a short timeframe. They suggest that if you draft him, you must pair him with a second tight end due to the high risk of his recovery.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveRole51:57

Jadarian Price is a recommended target in round five because Zach Charbonnet is on the PUP list with a long-term recovery from an ACL injury, leaving Price to handle a significant portion of the workload.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveProjection5:11

The source highlights Jahmyr Gibbs as a top-tier pick, noting he could reach 25 touchdowns this season. Reasoning includes the departure of David Montgomery, who previously handled over 50% of the team's carries inside the 10-yard line, and the Lions' favorable schedule, which is ranked as the easiest for rushing in the NFL.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveValue8:44

James Cook is identified as a strong value pick in the first round, particularly if available around pick nine or later. The source notes his high floor and ceiling, suggesting that with new offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, his role in the passing game could expand, further increasing his fantasy potential.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveUsage37:42

Jalen Warren is preferred over Rico Dowdle due to his proven track record and superior involvement in the passing game. The source projects Warren to serve as a high-volume receiving back, potentially capturing 75% of the receiving production seen by Kenny Gainwell in previous systems, while also maintaining goal-line carry upside.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveSleeper69:47

Coleman is a sleeper candidate for the Broncos who could emerge as the starter if Jacob Dobbins is not healthy.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeUsage31:30

Josh Jacobs is on the commissioner's exempt list and is expected to miss at least a month to a month and a half, with a potential season-long suspension looming. The source advises placing him on a 'do not draft' list as it is highly unlikely he will have a meaningful role for the Packers this season.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection40:53

Justin Herbert is a target in the seventh round, with the source citing a massive upgrade in offensive scheme under a new coordinator. The Chargers' high usage of motion in the preseason suggests a more efficient, modern passing attack that could elevate Herbert's fantasy ceiling significantly.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveBreakout68:50

Johnson is a late-round target who posted 900 yards last year; if he secures 6-7 touchdowns, he will finish as a top-six fantasy tight end.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveBreakout69:22

Mitchell is an explosive player for the Chargers who is highly regarded by the coaching staff and expected to have a significant role.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeUsage50:49

Kenny Gainwell is viewed as a usable situational player who functions as a Swiss Army knife in the Buccaneers' backfield. While he provides a safe floor, the source expresses skepticism about his ceiling compared to other options, noting that Baker Mayfield's aggressive passing style may limit check-down opportunities.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveValue60:31

Murray is an excellent value pick in the 11th round as the QB17, making him a prime target for those waiting on a quarterback.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveRole19:57

Kyren Williams is viewed as a safe, high-floor RB1 in a trusted Rams offense. Despite the addition of Blake Corum, the source emphasizes McVay's historical trust in Williams and his potential for increased touchdown production if the team shifts away from throwing at the one-yard line.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveBreakout49:17

Luther Burden is a high-upside target in round five. The source notes he is back to practice and expected to be 100% for week one, with the potential to become a second-round pick in future drafts.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeValue22:00

Malik Nabers is viewed as a high-risk, high-reward player in the third round. While the source expresses doubt regarding his current health status, they acknowledge that he has the potential to emerge as a top-tier fantasy receiver if he is fully healthy.

Insight page
NegativeInjury30:00

The source identifies Malik Nabers as a massive injury risk, noting that even if he is healthy early in the season, the likelihood of him sustaining health throughout the year is low due to his recent injury history.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

PositiveValue60:04

Andrews is a high-value pick in the 11th round who has starting-caliber potential and could reach double-digit touchdowns.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeValue34:21

The source expresses skepticism regarding Marshawn Lloyd's value at his current ADP (60th-75th range), citing his history of multiple injuries (hamstring, calf, shoulder, groin, ACL) and lack of professional experience with only six carries in two seasons.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

PositiveValue58:17

Pittman is an undervalued 'boring' veteran who could lead the Steelers in targets and potentially reach 12 touchdowns; his style as a physical, over-the-middle receiver makes him an ideal target for Aaron Rodgers.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveBreakout45:05

Michael Wilson is highlighted as a high-upside target who showed alpha-level production (averaging 22 points per game) in a small sample when Marvin Harrison Jr. was off the field. The source suggests he could be a better value than Harrison and benefits from a new, potentially more efficient offensive scheme.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveValue35:50

Mike Evans is considered a great value pick in the back of drafts due to his long-term track record of success and his role in a high-functioning offense with a quarterback who consistently feeds him the ball. While injury concerns exist, the source views him as a reliable veteran asset.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout35:35

Parker Washington is a high-upside mid-round target who showed WR16 rest-of-season production after Travis Hunter's Week 8 injury. The source compares his potential breakout to Amon-Ra St. Brown's early career, noting he has legitimate top-12 receiver upside if he earns consistent volume.

Insight page
PositiveUsage58:55

Parker Washington is a rising target; after Travis Hunter's injury in week eight, Washington performed as the WR16 for the remainder of the season, yet he is currently being drafted as the WR30.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveBreakout50:14

Quentin Johnston is identified as a player with massive upside who is rising up draft boards. The source suggests there is a legitimate path for him to outscore teammate Ladd McConkey this season, making him a worthy target in the ninth round.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout53:41

Johnston is highlighted as a standout player to target in the middle rounds of drafts.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

PositiveBreakout22:15

Rashee Rice is considered a high-upside target in the third round. When healthy, he has performed as a top-five fantasy receiver, evidenced by a 17-game stretch with 120 catches, 1,400 yards, and 11 touchdowns. The source notes his high target volume as a key driver for his success.

Insight page

Rashid Shaheed

PositiveBreakout71:42

Shaheed is a high-variance deep threat for the Seahawks who has the potential to be a premier deep threat in the league if he sees consistent playing time.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

PositiveValue70:24

Doubs is a reliable, steady-hand receiver who remains startable; he becomes an even better pick if AJ Brown misses time due to knee issues.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveProjection54:02

Despite concerns about the Commanders' offense, Diggs remains a strong pick because he ranks top-10 in first downs per route run, a highly predictive metric for receiver success.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

NegativeUsage43:26

Tyler Warren is a favorite pick for the source due to his expected role inheriting targets left by Michael Pittman. However, the source expresses concern that Keenan Allen's presence will act as a 'fantasy parasite,' potentially capping Warren's ceiling by siphoning off roughly 80 targets.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveUsage61:23

Robinson is a PPR scam who is expected to command a high target volume in the Titans' offense.

0:52Welcome to the The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz.
0:56Today I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck back.
0:58Still in LA, baby! They moved here. I made a move here and they did.
1:02They bought homes this weekend. We are going over our favorite picks in every round for fantasy football drafts.
1:07We are basically a week away from the season.
1:10We're recording this Monday, August 31st on the afternoon.
1:12I don't know why I said on the afternoon.
1:15That doesn't make any sense. Losing my mind a little.
1:17You're tan though. You look tan. I played golf in San Diego.
1:21We'll hit that later. We're going to go through our favorite.
1:24Not. No. I wasn't going to say it, but no.
1:26We're going to go through our favorite picks in every round.
1:29We're going to go through half point per reception, average draft position.
1:32And we're going to literally just be like, we like these guys, maybe probably take them, give or take.
1:37Yeah, we're going to talk about which rounds we think are the best in general.
1:41There are some rounds where we like half the picks and there are other rounds where we don't like any.
1:47So we'll get into each of that and which ones to focus on.
1:50Later in the episode, we'll get to the Rams signing Aaron Donald and that 49ers guy with the helmet everywhere.
1:56I know. That was about Aaron Donald. Relax. You just won the Super Bowl.
1:59Oh, I thought it was about the 49ers guy.
2:02Can you just be happy about the Super Bowl?
2:04Worst case is you don't win the Super Bowl this year.
2:07You guys, stop trying to— Big deal. 31 teams won't win the Super Bowl.
2:11Heifetz, first of all, you need to stop trying to gaslight me or everyone else into thinking I'm not happy the Seahawks
2:17won the Super Bowl because that's bullshit. I am very happy.
2:20Celebrating with my friends over here. You can't see them.
2:22You don't know them. Anyway, continue. I do hate the 49ers, though, for the record.
2:26This guy that scammed people. Terrible. Terrible. All right, round one.
2:29I was going to go back into the Seahawks thing.
2:32Do we have to take a break? Oh, yeah, right.
2:35We're going to take a break. Christ. This episode is presented by Verizon.

2:59Okay. Our favorite picks in every round. We're going with a 12-team league, so we're just going to go increments of 12,
3:05which of these guys we think are the best players.
3:08And round one's kind of weird because, you know, it's round one.
3:11So obviously, the best pick is like Jameer Gibbs, and picking him is kind of lame, right?
3:15Right. But we're going to go through. We have not talked about this.
3:19We don't know who each other's picking, so we're just going to go through.
3:23But I think picking Jameer Gibbs is kind of lame.
3:25Here's what I'll say. Craig picked up. I have Jameer Gibbs highlighted.
3:29Well, the number one overall pick. Cool. Yeah, yeah.
3:31But I actually think like for the price, it still is my favorite pick.
3:35Like let's say you're doing an auction draft, and you can have anybody you want.
3:39I do think paying up for Gibbs this year, sometimes the first pick is like a little softer.
3:44I think this one might seem soft because he's not – he might not be as famous as he is good yet.
3:49Usually it's like Saquon Barkley. Christian McCaffrey is the number one pick.
3:53Yeah. Gibbs is like I think next year after this.
3:55It's like, okay, he's in kind of a different category.
3:58I want to read one stat about Jameer Gibbs because I think he could score 25 touchdowns this year.
4:03Last season, Gibbs had fewer rushing attempts inside the 10-yard line than David Montgomery.
4:07Like that alone, I'm like holy shit. David Montgomery is obviously gone.
4:10The Lions have the easiest schedule in the NFL, and not only that.
4:14This is from Rich Rebar. They have the easiest ranked rushing schedule this season.
4:17David Montgomery getting more than 50% of like the inside the 10 and inside the five carries, and now he's gone.
4:23I legitimately think Gibbs could have like 25 touchdowns this year, and that's why I think it's totally worth like paying up for him in an auction draft.
4:30Can I read another stat about Jameer Gibbs? No.
4:33Okay. Yes. No, go ahead. Jameer Gibbs has more touchdowns through three seasons than any other NFL player ever.
4:38There we go. That's good. Can you name the backup running back on the Lions currently?
4:42Is he the most, the healthiest one? Oh, no, they're all fake.
4:45Robichaw, I actually. No, he's not on the team anymore.
4:48Siobhaki, who was a safety in college. Remember Craig Reynolds like a couple years ago?
4:52Yeah, he's not there. Amir Abdullah used to be there.
4:55Jacob Salyers. Salyers. Salyers. You sailor, you. No, yeah.
4:57Do you know where he went to college? Have you ever heard of him?
5:01Norfolk State? Close. East Tennessee State. Oh. Okay, but let's move on from Gibbs.
5:05Who else do you think is the best value in the first round?
5:08If it's not Gibbs at one, and there have been years that we're like, yeah, you can take this guy first, but
5:14we actually would rather pick fourth than first. Yes.
5:16This year first is like the best pick. I think so.
5:19So to your point, if you can pick where you pick, you want the first pick.
5:24If not, I actually think James Cook at nine.
5:26Like if you have, James Cook fell to me in.
5:29Let's say the ringer league at 11. Yeah. Hypothetically.
5:31That'd be crazy. That's great. Yeah. Yeah. So, I just think James Cook, who led the league in rushing yards last year
5:37and the year before rushing touchdowns, just, oh, that was so weird.
5:40That's on me. That's on me. Sorry. His computer just made a noise, by the way.
5:45They, yeah. Yeah, they heard. They heard. In case they didn't hear.
5:48Maybe they didn't. I do agree with you. I mean, I think, I think James Cook has like, he led the league in rushing last year.
5:55I think he has a great combination of floor and ceiling just because this is a guy who was like seen as
6:01more of a pass catching running back out of college and hasn't done that a whole lot.
6:05Pete Carmichael, the new OC with Joe Brady, the new head coach.
6:08If that becomes more of a thing, I think his ceiling is even higher.
6:12There's also, I don't really believe in this because like Josh Allen's not that old yet.
6:16I feel like there's a lot of discussion around these quarterbacks like Lamar and Josh Allen.
6:21It's like, well, they're running now. Are they going to run less?
6:24I'm like, maybe when they're 34, I don't exactly believe that's going to happen now, but I guess you could factor in
6:30if Josh Allen, Bill and Sal were joking about like, he's a father now.
6:34Maybe he'll want to protect himself. Like maybe James Cook gets even more of that, but for all, but I do agree with you.
6:40I had, I had James Cook as like my one B, the other guy that I really like, if you don't have
6:46the first pick and you're kind of waffling, you don't know who to take, you want just a confidence pick in the first round.
6:52Amon Ross St. Brown is like printing money. I mean, he's, he's like having a fantasy points ATM.
6:57I mean, outside of Jameer Gibbs, I totally agree with you about Jameer Gibbs.
7:01He's probably my favorite player in the entire draft, but I'm on raw every year.
7:05It's just 15 points a game. He's going to get a ton of targets.
7:09He's still the number one receiver in that offense.
7:11He still has a great connection with Jared Goff.
7:13I just feel like, and also by the way, he's 17, 17, 16, 16.
7:17Those are the games he's played in the last four years.
7:20He's, he's reliable. You know, knock on wood. Like you don't have to worry about anything with him.
7:25Can I read you? So if Bill Simmons would have called this the 10, 100, 1000 club, which is guys who had
7:3110 touchdowns, 100 catches in a thousand yards and three seasons, not even just three in a row, but just like three seasons in your career.
7:38The entire list is basically it's Devante Adams, Antonio Brown, Marvin Harrison, senior, Travis Kelsey, Brandon Marshall randomly, and Jerry Rice and Amon Ra.
7:44Yeah. And Amon Ra's done it three consecutive years.
7:47That's a career total count. Yeah. In the last thousand.
7:49He's actually at 10, 100, 1200. And he's 26 years old.
7:52Yeah. Yeah. This is about as good a pick, safe a pick as you can make.
7:57He's averaged 15 points a game over the last four seasons, which is third most among all receivers.
8:01I agree. Jamar and Puka are the only guys that have scored more on average over those over that stretch.
8:07I fully agree on the three names we named.
8:09Yeah. Correct. So Jameer Gibbs, James Cook and Amon Ra's St.
8:12Brown. Those are three of the most consistent players the last three years.
8:16Okay. That's the easy part. Round one. Round two, DK, who's your favorite pick in round two relative to the cost?
8:21Right. I went with Chase Brown for the Bengals.
8:24This one's hard because there's a lot of guys in here.
8:27I love Derek Henry. I picked him in the Ringer League in the first round.
8:31You did. But I went with Chase Brown, I just think, is the great combination of floor and ceiling that you really
8:36look for because he's going to catch a lot of passes as well.
8:40I mean, in the games in which he played with Joe Burrow, he was heavily involved in the passing game.
8:45Got almost all the snaps. Again, this is another guy.
8:48It's like James Cook. Not a lot of competition in the backfield.
8:51And so I just, I really love his upside.
8:54And the offense combined with opportunity, like the overall total points I think the Bengals are going to score this year is
8:59why I really put him down here. Another guy I took in the Ringer League, Chase Brown, my second pick.
9:05So DK, you're really just saying I had the perfect draft.
9:08Who was your first round guy? James Cook and then you went Chase Brown?
9:12Yeah. Wow. I totally agree with you. I think he's a wonderful value.
9:15The guy I highlighted, Chase Brown, is going 14th overall in drafts.
9:18Four spots later is Derrick Henry at 18, who you took in the first round, I think, smartly.
9:23Kind of just to make Heifits mad too, but yeah.
9:26There wasn't enough of that going around on the Ringer fans.
9:29Well, that was early. That was early. Yeah. I want to throw out, there's like, I don't need to give you a
9:35stat and tell you Derrick Henry was good, but I do want to mention one thing that stuck out to me as
9:40I was doing some light reading this week. Derrick Henry had 16 touchdowns last year, which is obviously a lot.
9:46He was second to last in points scored versus expectations in the red zone, and he had the worst short yardage output of his career last year.
9:53Do we think that's going to turn around? Do we think that's a variance stat?
9:57I don't think he's like, yes. I would much more likely to bet that the short yardage stuff gets better than like he suddenly just is bad.
10:04That's how they replaced both guards stat. Yes. So it'll be better, even if the center situation's worth with Tyler, Leonard, Bumgarner.
10:1016 touchdowns and he was terrible inside the red zone is kind of all I need to hear.
10:15Yeah. He's one of very few players in the NFL, I think, that if he scored 20 touchdowns, you're like, yeah.
10:21Think about the differences in defense. Never mind. Again, the guards being bad and now the guards being better is one thing,
10:26but think about just being a linebacker and having to worry about Lamar Jackson sprinting at full speed versus last year having a hamstring issue.
10:33Like, there's a... Again, Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry is the greatest Thunder-Lightning combo in a backfield ever.
10:38And when Lamar's at full speed, it's... It's the coolest one, too.
10:41Certainly. Yeah. And I had Derrick Henry, too. Oh, did you?
10:44Okay. I thought you were going to put A.J.
10:47Brown here. I like A.J. Brown a lot at 20, but Derrick Henry's falling to 18.
10:51Again, Derrick Henry's last 34 games. Regular season. Derrick Henry's last 34 games.
10:54He has 3,500 yards and 34 touchdowns. Tractor Cito, baby.
10:57And we're just inventing, like, 11 other running backs to go ahead of him.
11:01And he just keeps getting better. I mean, like, not only...
11:04Week 17 last year, he had 200 yards and four touchdowns if you were in the fantasy championship with him.
11:09Yeah, I remember that. He just keeps getting... I just destroyed Eifetz over here.
11:13That was frustrating. Okay, round three? Yeah, round three.
11:15Is it worth reading the names? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
11:18Should we have been doing that? Well, I feel like the first round...
11:21Now that we get into, like, yeah. Now that it's round three...
11:24Okay, how about this? Someone raise your hand when your player comes up.
11:28So round three, I'm not going to lie. Should we make a sound or just raise our hand?
11:33Make a sound at your choosing. Okay. Whatever sound you want to make.
11:36Just in case if people are only listening. Right.
11:38Yeah, well, you're right. Just make a sound. Think on your sound.
11:42I hate this round. I think it sucks. Wow.
11:44So round three is Trey McBride, the tight end for the Cardinals, who's good, but I hate the Cardinals.
11:49Chris Olave for the Saints, who I'm like, man, it's just really high to take Chris Olave.
11:54Kyron Williams for the Rams. Oh, God. I made a noise.
11:57That was good. Nice. I went with Kyron. Do you want me to give my spiel or do you want to keep going?
12:03Just spiel. That's fine. This is almost exactly the same as the Chase Brown thing.
12:07He has a little more competition this year in Kyron Williams, or sorry, in Blake Corum.
12:11They're basically twins, which is why I said his name.
12:14Twins, Basil. But like basically Kyron, the equation with him is he is the lead back in one of the best offenses in the NFL.
12:21I want a piece of that offense. Historically, McVay has shown complete trust in Kyron Williams.
12:25Last year, he was the RB 11 in points per game, over 14 points per game.
12:29And that was after seeing his snap rate drop 20%.
12:32I think, again, the floor is really solid. Top 10, top 11, or whatever.
12:36But if Corum maybe gets hurt or Corum is just not as involved this year, we're talking top five, top four in potential.
12:42And again, this is an offense I completely trust.
12:44This is an offense that could score more rushing touchdowns than it did last year because they threw a lot from the
12:50one yard line, not only in the red zone, but like from the one yard line.
12:54They were throwing a ton. And so, yes, again, to me, it's he's on the field all the time in a really good offense.
13:01I think he's a really good player. He's involved in the passing game and he could just score more touchdowns this year.
13:07He's over 10 touchdowns each of the last three years.
13:09He's my favorite running back in this round for sure.
13:12Is that just because everyone else sucks? Because the rest of us is a little risky.
13:16It's Jeremiah Love for the Cardinals, who's a rookie who's already has a high ankle sprain.
13:20It's Balik Nabors, who is elite if he's fully healthy, but we have no idea if he's fully healthy for the Giants.
13:26Javante Williams from the Cowboys. And then Brees Hall, the running back for the Jets.
13:30Devonta Smith for the Eagles. Rasheed Rice on the Chiefs, who is also recovering from an offseason.
13:35Ding, ding, ding. That's me. Ooh. Absolutely. To me, I think he should be clearly a second rounder.
13:40We kind of have, we're not talking about him a lot.
13:43I desperately wanted him in the third round. I think Chang took him.
13:46Um, Rasheed Rice, every time he plays, is legitimately a top five receiver in fantasy.
13:50I looked at it. He had the ACL. The second he came back, top five receiver in fantasy.
13:55Like, immediately for the final of however many games it was last year.
13:59If you go just look at the last 17 games Rasheed Rice has been healthy, this is his stat line.
14:04120 catches. Again, 17 games. Normal season. His last 17 healthy games.
14:07120 catches, 1,400 yards, and 11 touchdowns. The Chiefs did nothing to their receiving core.
14:11Travis Kelsey's a year older. Xavier Worthy and Ken Walker's there.
14:14I'm almost worried. Like, the only thing to me, I'm like, can he hold up?
14:18He's going to get targeted too much. He's, last year he was fourth in targets per game behind Jamar Chase, Puka, Nakua, and Amon Ra.
14:25That's it. Like, he is targeted amongst the highest players in the league.
14:28And so I'm like, yeah, the knee thing in jail is obviously worrisome, but he came back from the ACL last year and was immediately great.
14:35I'm just like, if this guy gets 12 targets a game and he just gets creamed over the middle all season, is
14:41he going to be able to fucking hold up?
14:43But I think at this spot. Creamed over the middle?
14:46I thought about it. I thought about it. I crossed my mind and I decided to move forward.
14:51And I thought I made it. I thought I made it out of line.
14:55For reference, Jackson Smith and Jigbell last year in 17 games had 119 catches.
14:58So he was basically on the JSN track. I think it is telling about this round that it is basically not by the standard of NFL running backs.
15:06It's like guys that aren't super talented on great offenses.
15:09It's Kyron Williams and Javante Williams on Cowboys and Rams.
15:11And then like talented guys and not great teams like Jeremiah Love and Trey McBride or injured players.
15:16Or to your point, it's Rasheed Rice recovering from any injury with the Chiefs and Malik Nabors recovering from injury with the Giants.
15:22And like those are the best players in this round.
15:25But in reality, they're the highest upside risk reward where Rasheed Rice and Nabors could both be like not the same player
15:31and then like a terrible pick or like a league winning player because you could just get like maybe the number one receiver in fantasy in round three.
15:38Let me ask you a question. In this round, Malik Nabors, like if you had to rank the order of how much
15:44you like each player in this round, like let's say Kyron Williams and Rasheed Rice are first and second, where would Malik Nabors fall for you?
15:51So I'll be lame and then I'll answer your question.
15:54But it completely depends on your philosophy because you two are, I think, going for completely different things.
15:59You're saying Kyron Williams. I think that's safe and there's nothing wrong with safe.
16:02But when you're like, you're going for upside. So if you're going for safety, because I don't think Kyron Williams is a good pick if you want upside.
16:10And I don't think Rasheed Rice is a good pick if you want safety.
16:14And so if you're like, well, Ricky Bobby first or last, then you should take Malik Nabors or Rasheed Rice because they're
16:20the only people in this round that it wouldn't even be weird if they were like the number one receiver in fantasy halfway through the season.
16:27But if you're like, I don't want this player to like strike out, I want to get on base, you should take Kyron Williams.
16:33But I think if you want the upside thing, I would rather just take Blake Corum.
16:37And if Kyron Williams get hurt, then Blake Corum becomes Kyron Williams.
16:40So I think that's the thing is, would you rather have like Rasheed Rice here and then take Blake Corum later?
16:46Or would you rather take Kyron Williams? And then in round eight, you take, you know, a receiver like, I don't know,
16:52Stephon Diggs or Quentin Johnson or some shit. So where would you put Nabors?
16:56I am personally dubious that Nabors is healthy. But when I see him on other people's teams, I'm like, fuck, maybe that was in this.
17:02I do agree. I get envy. I think Van took him.
17:05And yeah, when I see it. I should have just taken him.
17:09Why did I do that? He's going to be good.
17:11When you just see him in the third round, you're like, fuck, that's going to work.
17:16So I think the answer, there's a very good case is Malik Nabors.
17:19Like I'm looking at this round. I wonder about Devontae Smith for the Eagles because I'm just like, man, he's going to
17:25be the focal point of the offense. If the Eagles offense is good, he's not recovering from any injuries.
17:30The only guy there. I don't really think when Kyle Lemon or Don Tavion Wicks or Dallas Goddard could command massive things.
17:36I think Devontae Smith could easily get a third of the Eagles passing offense, even if it's like low volume.
17:41Was he your pick? I think so. But the more I think about it, I'm like Malik Nabors is probably the best pick in this round.
17:48But the overall point is this round sucks. I don't want any of these players.
17:52Jeremiah Love's actively hurt. Like, you know what I mean?
17:55I just, I don't want any of these players.
17:57So I'm like, shit, a third of these players are hurt.
18:00I might as well take Malik Nabors. It's a high risk, high reward round.
18:04Jeremiah Love is a guy who like could go any direction.
18:07Smith, Rice, like yeah, Olave, huge injury risk. There's Neighbors.
18:10There's a lot. Neighbors is a massive injury risk.
18:12Again, even if he is 100% early in the season, which I am dubious of.
18:16Because he's back and practicing now. Yes. But the odds that he makes it through the season are just lower off the injury.
18:22But round three of the fantasy drafts remind me a lot of round two of the real life NFL draft where you're
18:28in round two because there's something that's not perfect about your profile.
18:31That's why you're not in the first round, essentially.
18:34But there's like a ton of upside. But those guys tend to be, I think, a little higher variance at times just
18:40because there's something that's not pushing them up into the first round, right?
18:43And I think that's the same here with like round three.
18:46There's always, there's just something holding us back from putting these guys higher.
18:50We didn't even get into Josh Jacobs, who's also at the end of this round, who's the Packers running back.
18:55So Josh Jacobs was charged with two misdemeanors, misdemeanor battery, criminal damage to property.
18:59And he ended up getting placed on the commissioner's list.
19:01And we can go all into it. Basically, the commissioner's list is, it's kind of like paid leave in advance of a suspension.
19:07Like we don't have enough evidence gathered to suspend you.
19:10But there's a video and we saw it. So we're going to do it because we're really confident we'll be able to suspend you later.
19:17And they just basically like, they pay him now.
19:19And then later he gets suspended at a later time.
19:22And it's like time served, but he's not playing for the Packers to begin the year.
19:26It seems like it'll probably be six games. It might even be the whole season for Josh Jacobs.
19:31We don't know the answer. I was wrong about this.
19:34I thought, because his trial is not even until November 17th.
19:37And I thought that they would just wait for him to either, you know, plead guilty or, you know, have a trial or be convicted.
19:43A lot of times they wait for the legal system to kind of process things.
19:47When there's a video, because the police generally don't.
19:50So it depends. But generally, when the police are trying to gather evidence and prosecutors are trying to like get interviews, they
19:56get pretty annoyed when the NFL is like also trying to get their own interviews and also talking to the witnesses.
20:01And you're like impeding the investigation. So usually they wait.
20:04Yeah. But there's a video. So they're like, yeah, we're going to do it anyway.
20:08So the long or the short of it is Jacobs is on the commissioner exempt list.
20:12He's probably going to miss a month, a month and a half.
20:15And then he could come back and then get suspended for the rest of the season.
20:20Yes. And so like it's very to me, it's very unlikely.
20:23It feels very unlikely. Josh Jacobs is going to have a role this season.
20:26The Packers are going to have to do something else.
20:29Could be the last. He might not ever be.
20:32Might not play in the NFL. He's going to miss probably like two months on the lower end.
20:36Like he probably won't even play to November. And that's like the more optimistic.
20:40So he goes on to the do not draft list, obviously.
20:43And then we'll talk about where you want to take Marshawn Lynch later.
20:47Lloyd. Sorry. Yeah. Damn. I would not take Marshawn Lynch this year.
20:50Right. You never know. The Packers also traded for the Steelers third round running back from a couple of years ago.
20:55Caleb Johnson. Yes. Josh Jacobs is basically like, don't draft him for a variety of reasons.
21:00Like, don't take Josh Jacobs. There's no point. Marshawn Lloyd.
21:02I think the question is like, where do you take Marshawn Lloyd?
21:06Lloyd. It's a weird situation. The Packers. Who's going to play for the Packers this year is a bizarre conversation.
21:11Aside from just the whole like, oh, it's Josh Jacobs who plays running back for Green Bay.
21:15But the season's in a week. Marshawn Lloyd has six carries in two seasons.
21:19He's had hamstring injuries pretty much his whole career.
21:22Hamstring, calf. His shoulder. Groin. Like he's had so many issues.
21:25Six carries. Chris Brooks is like a pass pro guy.
21:27He's barely played. He's been Mike McDaniel, Green Bay.
21:30And then Caleb Johnson, who literally fumbled. He declined to pick up a kickoff last year.
21:34Didn't know it was a live ball. Seattle scored a touchdown.
21:37And then he got 60 snaps the rest of the season.
21:40And that's why the Seahawks probably won the Super Bowl.
21:42I really enjoyed it. It was so fun. It was the best.
21:46Yeah. Caleb Johnson had like 28 carries the entire season.
21:48He had like 70 yards rushing. Like literally irrelevant.
21:51It was a third round pick coming out of Iowa.
21:53People thought, I didn't personally like him. I know.
21:56I want to credit you, Craig. Because when we were talking about him during the pre-draft process, before the Steelers got him,
22:02you were like, I don't see it. Don't see it.
22:04I would actually take. Sure enough. Here's the thing, though.
22:07I actually would rather have Caleb Johnson than Marshall and Lloyd considering the price.
22:11Because I've already done a couple drafts. The Josh Jacobs news has come out.
22:15And people are taking Marshall and Lloyd like 60th or 75th or whatever.
22:18Or on waivers, you're grabbing him for like a bunch of money.
22:21Yeah. Like a six round pick. And I'm like, okay, but Marshall and Lloyd has had six carries in two years.
22:27Yeah. He's had four or five different injuries. Never mind.
22:30He tore his ACL and COVID. And I'm like, I kind of don't want to just, it's like Jonathan Brooks.
22:35It's like, I don't know if I necessarily definitely want to bet that Marshall and Lloyd will stand up to the rigors of an NFL season that long.
22:42I'm like, no one's going to take Caleb Johnson.
22:45But I think the reason Caleb Johnson totally and completely failed in Pittsburgh is he was like a zone based running back.
22:51We joked he was a lot like Derrick Henry.
22:53He's a real North South guy. Yeah. He needs to get going.
22:56Also like rookie with Rodgers. I get why he didn't play.
22:59Iowa. It's every, Aaron Rodgers doesn't do under center anymore.
23:02And Aaron Rodgers doesn't do rookies. Yes. And trying to do zone running from shotgun.
23:06Nevermind. Like, like just, you're never going to work with Rodgers.
23:09You can't block for him. The angles are all different.
23:12Rodgers is not going to suffer a rookie in a growing pains.
23:15And I'm like going back to Green Bay and going back to being an under center offense.
23:19I think Caleb Johnson is free. And I think that by week nine, I think it's like a coin flip of him versus Marshall.
23:26I don't disagree with you. He might be better on merit and injury and health.
23:30Yeah. So I actually think Caleb Johnson is a chance to be like, I've been waxing poetic about Jonah Coleman.
23:35Caleb Johnson might be the best sleeper the whole year because I don't think his lack of playing time has anything to do with him.
23:42It's just Aaron Rodgers. Despite my feelings about him as a prospect, I don't disagree that this is a good situation and something worth it in your draft.
23:49Yeah. That's worth it. Yeah. Shit. I'm up in a draft right now.
23:53Maybe I'll take him. So that's a lengthy round three, but we'll go through it.
23:57But anyway, I don't love Marshall and what it costs.
24:00I don't think I'm going to take Caleb Johnson, but I think he might be better.
24:04So round four. Yeah. This one was tough. Read all of the round four and then we'll pick our guy.
24:09So my, the players in round four, Cam Scadigo running for the, running back for the New York Giants, Tee Higgins receiver
24:15for the Bengals, Lamar Jackson quarterback for the Ravens, Ted Aroa McMillan receiver for the Panthers, Emeka Abuka receiver for the Bucs,
24:21Colston Loveland, the tight end for the Bears, Lad McConkie receiver for the charge.
24:25It's been a long week. Lukarki. Chargers receiver. Lemon, it's Monday.
24:28Garrett Wilson receiver for the Jets. DeAndre Swift running back for the Bears.
24:31Quinshawn Judkins running back for the Browns and Jalen Waddell receiver for the Broncos.
24:35Bucky Irving running back for the Buccaneers. Who did you have?
24:38This is a gauntlet. I love this round. I like half of the people in this round.
24:42I would have chosen Emeka Abuka. But the toe thing, I think, must be...
24:46We don't know. It's a 25% chance he just has turf toe and it will affect the entire season.
24:51If he was healthy, I'd be like, this guy, I think, is a top 10 wide receiver.
24:56Spend all your money on him. He's the absolute guy you should take.
24:59But the toe thing, I don't know. It could be turf toe.
25:02And that's a huge problem. Brock Purdy missed half the season with turf toe last year.
25:07So I would pick Lad McConkie, I believe. But I like a lot of other guys.
25:11I had Lad McConkie, too. I think it's the focal point of the Chargers passing game that will be so much better than people think.
25:18Yeah, I'll reiterate that. I wrote down literally, Emeka Abuka or Lad.
25:21Because I just... The toe thing. If all things being equal, I would go with Abuka if he was healthy.
25:26In a week, he's a full participant. It's like, it's not turf toe.
25:30It was a strain and it's healed. And he feels great and there's no limitations.
25:34And the toe is not a problem. I would 100% pick him.
25:37Is this round just better than the round before?
25:39Like, I would rather Kim Skadaboo than Brees Hall.
25:42Is that insane? Like, if you could have two picks in round four and zero in round three, would you?
25:47Yes. Honestly, I would trade back. If fantasy football, you could trade back.
25:51I would absolutely trade out of the third round.
25:53And I want... Even Jalen Waddell, who I know we hate and we're probably going to put in the burn book three weeks in.
25:59But I'm like, man. Jalen Waddell in Denver without going from Tua to Bo Nix and Sean Payton, I just think is a huge upgrade.
26:06Tee Higgins. All these guys I like a lot.
26:09I think DeAndre Swift is still a great pick.
26:11Yep. We've barely talked about Ted Arroyo McMillan. There's a lot of good players in this round.
26:16McMillan could have a big year to jump. Round five.
26:18There's David Montgomery running back for the Texans. DG Moore receiver for the Bills.
26:22Tyler Warren tight end for the Colts. Drake May quarterback for the Pats.
26:25Joe Burrow for the Bengals. Luther Byrden receiver for the Bears.
26:28Terry McLaurin in Washington. Travion Henderson, the running back for the Patriots.
26:32Devontae Adams receiver for the Rams. Jadarian Price, the rookie receiver at a Notre Dame for Seattle.
26:36Basial Tootin, my muse, for the running back for the Jags.
26:39Not really. I'm skeptical. And Jameson Williams, the receiver for the Lions.
26:42DK, who is your guy in round five? My head wants Tyler Warren.
26:46My heart wants Luther Burden. Put it that way.
26:48I'll do Luther Burden. Oh. Either, really? I think Tyler Warren, the signing of Keenan Allen and then the quick DUI.
26:54I don't know what to make of that. Keenan Allen got a DUI this offseat or this over the weekend.
26:59Was he, was the car in motion? I'm not sure it was, but.
27:03I didn't look into it. Oh, like he fell asleep in his car?
27:06I don't know. I will say this. You got to put your keys outside the car, they say, right?
27:11I don't know. It's rules. It can't be in the ignition, I think.
27:15I'm sure it depends on the state. Yeah, maybe it's state dependent.
27:18But I believe if you're like, want to pull over and you want to sleep because you might have had too much to drink.
27:24If you put the keys outside the car, I think it's okay.
27:28I don't know that. I think if it, I don't know.
27:31Don't take Craig. I heard that like 10 years ago.
27:33I don't know if that's correct. Someone out there is like, lawyer, got it.
27:37All right. Craig told me that I can do this.
27:40Yeah, yeah. Hold on. We pulled this podcast officer.
27:42So I will say we've been indie. Most Uberable place I've ever been in my life.
27:46Yeah. Uberable. Yeah. It's 100% right. It's like going like across Indianapolis when we were in the combine, it costs like under $4.
27:52It's actually like, it's like $20. But we've learned that it doesn't have anything to do with that.
27:57There's something, only Waymos, I'm telling you. Wouldn't be a problem.
28:00So who did you have in this round? So sorry.
28:03I had Tyler Warren. Really? You think he's the best value?
28:06That's kind of fun. I think it's just more like my favorite player in this round.
28:10I think with Michael Pittman gone, he's going to inherit a lot of those looks.
28:14Run after the catch. I think he's going to be a focal point and they're going to try and design plays to get him the football.
28:21Let his run after the catch ability kind of shine.
28:24Pierce his foot. Pierce his foot. Josh Downs is like a huge unknown.
28:27I just think he's going to have 120 targets and just absolutely go bonkers.
28:31Can I be just a sopping wet noodle Debbie Downer for a second?
28:35Wet blanket? Whatever. Yeah. Do you remember last year when we were so goddamn excited about Lad McConkie with the Chargers and
28:40he was like a top 30 pick and then the Chargers signed Keenan Allen a week before the season and we did
28:46not properly account for the fucking 80 targets that Keenan Allen was going to have.
28:50What's going to happen to Keenan? Is Keenan going to miss time?
28:54I don't think this DUI will affect it. First of all, the difference between domestic violence and Josh Jacobs and the DUI
28:59with Keenan Allen is like completely different charges. I don't think it's like worth trying to predict whether that gets a spend.
29:05I don't think it's worth trying to predict whether the two games are whatever.
29:09But it's a good point. Keenan Allen is a fantasy bloodsucker.
29:12Tyler won't have Keenan Allen. There's a lot of overlapping.
29:15Fantasy parasite. Yeah. Well, damn. It's a barnacle on the ass of whatever team he's on.
29:19I just think Keenan, like, like just we're not moving down all the Colts receivers when Keenan Allen's probably going to get like 80 targets.
29:26Like I just, everyone should move down a round.
29:28But because the way it works is average draft position is just kind of set.
29:32And like people sort by it in the draft.
29:34Like I just, I don't want Tyler Warren anymore because I just feel like you're going to, you're just going to be
29:40mad every week because Keenan Allen's going to have five catches every week.
29:44I think Tyler Warren's going to play every down and I don't think Keenan Allen is going to play every down.
29:49I think it'll be okay. That being said, it does lower his ceiling probably a little bit.
29:54But that being said, I'm on board with Luther Burton hype.
29:57He's all, he's back to practice. Ben Johnson said he's going to be a hundred percent ready to go week one.
30:03I'm like, what else do we want? That's awesome.
30:05I've talked about Luther Burton a lot. Yeah. So we don't need to go too deep.
30:09Is Luther Burton your favorite pick in this round five?
30:12Absolutely. I think there is like a 33% chance that Luther Burton is like a second round pick in drafts next year.
30:18And there's like a 10% chance it's a first round pick.
30:21Yeah. This is a fun round. It's a great round.
30:23Once again, going back to what you said from round three, it's upside versus safety.
30:27Yeah. I think Tyler Warren is kind of rock solid.
30:30You could take like Drake May or Joe Burrow in this round and it'd be like solid.
30:35Also DJ. Drake May is in this round who just was like the number two quarterback real life in fantasy last year.
30:41You got him 52nd? I was going to say, part of me is like, we're like, quarterback's deep.
30:45And I'm like, yeah, maybe you should just take Drake May.
30:48So now you're not on the late quarterback thing.
30:51Why? What changed? Not really. Did anything happen in the last four days that made you change your tune?
30:56Oh, I know what you're talking about. That was fun.
30:59But like upside, Luther Burton to me is like, he could be like the fifth receiver in fantasy or it could honestly not work out.
31:05So it's huge variance. I'm still on DJ Moore for the Bills.
31:08I just think DJ Moore is here. I thought about doing that too.
31:12But I will say, Drake May just being outside the top 50 really does stand out to me.
31:17The other one is Jadarian Price. So the Seahawks, because Zach Charbonnet, when I'm physically enabled.
31:21So now you're back on Price, huh? Well, I think that I'm realizing how much of Jadarian Price's price is because people
31:27like believe the bullshit that Zach Charbonnet would play in week one.
31:30Charbonnet got placed on the POP list. So he's missing at least four weeks.
31:34He tours ACL in like the end of January.
31:36Like that's a nine month recovery. Like just do like that's Halloween.
31:40I think it is surgery in late February. I think you're in on George Kittle.
31:44Because I have, there is so much more information about George Kittle's recovery than Zach Charbonnet.
31:48There's like no information on Charbonnet's recovery. And it's just like the timeline.
31:51We know when he had surgery, there is no return to timeline for Charbonnet in eight months.
31:56Like it's just not, no one brings NFL players back in eight months.
31:59Like it just doesn't happen. What did you think?
32:02Did you see that weird Shanahan quote? Where he said like.
32:05Which one? He took a step back. He mentioned something about Kittle taking a step back.
32:09And everyone was like, what does that mean? Did you hear that?
32:12Uh, no, let's do it right now. What the fuck did he say?
32:16He literally said in a presser. He was, I think, I don't know if he was talking about week one in Australia
32:22or something, but he was like, oh yeah, certain guys, you know, like so-and-so and Kittle who've taken a step back.
32:27It'll be interesting to see, you know, the next few weeks.
32:30Yeah. It's like, I think people were not sure how to take that.
32:34Whether he had had a setback and was therefore maybe, you know.
32:37Oh, like he misspoke step, like did he take a step back or is it a setback?
32:41Or like does the step back mean? No, I'm saying does the step back, he's taking a step back.
32:46Does that mean he had a setback? Does that mean he's like not going to practice anymore or whatever, kind of slow
32:52things down, he was going too fast, having some issues or what?
32:56No one really knew what that meant. It sounds like he's going to be back at practice this week though.
33:01Well, a setback would be bad. That's my profession.
33:03I just think it's bonkers that people are into George Kittle.
33:06I think that's crazy. Do you remember when Kirk Cousins came back immediately from his torn Achilles and he couldn't fucking move?
33:12Yes. Obviously, very different situation, different person, different player, different position.
33:15I respect that you're taking the risk, but I don't, because he's very affordable.
33:19He's like going super late. I just, I mean, this dude's 31 years old.
33:23He's coming back in like six months. It's very against, it goes against our rule to target guys the year after the year after.
33:29And I think we're kind of just ignoring, we're like, oh, new science.
33:32He's an animal. He comes back. He works so hard.
33:35Maybe it'll work. He's like a freak one of one, but you basically have to draft two tight ends if you want to draft George Kittle.
33:42That is true. I do not think he's going to Australia.
33:45Anyway, so Jadarian Price though. Jadarian Price just could be a starting running back in round five.
33:50I just think it's worth it. I feel like, yeah.
33:52The point is coming back to Charbonnet. I just think people are too worried.
33:56Jadarian Price is going to have a lot of the workload.
33:59Also, I don't know why George Alani is not being drafted.
34:02I feel like he's going to play a lot.
34:04Alani's a good last round. Like, yeah. He's like, no one, I don't think people could even find him searching his name.
34:10Round six. Jaden Daniels, quarterback for Washington. Jalen Hurts, quarterback for the Eagles, which always trips me out because he had more
34:16games over 30 points than under 16 two years ago and somehow is outside the top 60.
34:21Keep wondering about that. Roman Doomsday receiver for the Bears.
34:23Tucker Craft tight end of the Packers. Talking about people toward their ACL and going 20 spots higher than Kittle.
34:29I know the timeline's different. Christian Watson receiver in the Packers.
34:32Mike Evans receiver in the Niners. Jalen Warren running back for the Steelers.
34:35Parker Washington, the receiver du jour for Jacksonville. Harold Fannin Jr.
34:38on the Cleveland Browns. Ramondre Stevenson running back for the Patriots.
34:41Sam Laporte in the Lions. And Caleb Williams on the Bears.
34:44Craig, who's your player in this round and why is it Mike Evans?
34:47It's not Mike Evans. Who the fuck is it?
34:50It's Christian Watson or Parker Washington. And I can't decide.
34:53It's those three guys for me and I was going to pick whoever you didn't pick because I had Christian Watson.
34:58But yeah, it's Watson, Evans, and Parker Washington. And in my favorite drafts, I end up with all three.
35:03Yeah, this is another round that I like a lot.
35:06I think Hurts, great pick. I think Roman Dunes is a good pick.
35:09Let me throw a couple. I got one Christian Watson stat and one Parker Washington stat.
35:14Okay. Christian Watson ranks third in yards per route run over the last two seasons and he ranks 58th in target share.
35:20Now those things I think are going to be a little bit different with Dobbs and Wicks gone.
35:24I think he's a phenomenal pick. Another guy who came back from an ACL early.
35:28He actually looked great immediately, kind of like Rasheed Rice and now has a full off season and is back with much less competition.
35:35And then with Parker Washington, who's like every week seems to rise up the boards more and more.
35:40After Travis Hunter got hurt in week eight, he was the wide receiver 16 rest of season.
35:44And right now he's going as the wide receiver 30.
35:47I like, yeah. I like the same three players you mentioned.
35:50I want Mike Evans mainly just because that's been kind of one of my guys in this process.
35:55Great value. I've been drafting him everywhere in the back of my head.
35:58In the ringer league. I did. I like Parker Washington because when Mike Evans and Christian Watson get hurt, Parker Washington can play.
36:04Right. But I have, no, I have Mike Evans in the ringer league.
36:08I think it's like, for me, one of the things, like if you look at everything, it's like Mike Evans is just,
36:14he's done it for a long time. He's, we know he's a very good player.
36:18He's in a very good offense with a quarterback who's going to feed him the football.
36:22I think those variables all together make it seem like a great pick.
36:25Obviously, I'm worried about the injury thing. Like, that's a huge deal.
36:29But like, you kind of feel that way about, I feel that way about Christian Watson as well.
36:33Like, the back of my head, worry about the injury is just like a huge deal.
36:38He's always the back of your head. How about the front of that?
36:41The front of your head. But that being said, Parker Washington is one of the more fun people to pick in the
36:47mid rounds, I think, just because he has, I think, legitimate top 12 among receiver upside.
36:51Because we might, this might be like the Amon Ross season before he blew up and everyone didn't know what to do
36:57with him because he was like a mid round pick and nobody knew if it was real.
37:02The same performance from the same player who's taken in the first round in the real NFL draft because we expect them to be great.
37:09The moment they show it for any amount of time, we kind of immediately accept it.
37:13But if you're a later round pick, you need to do it for a long time until we actually place you in
37:19that bucket, which Amon Ross, the perfect example. So I think, yeah, Parker Washington.
37:22The downside is like there's a lot of guys in Jacksonville.
37:25I don't know. Maybe Jacoby Myers, Brian Thomas, and Travis Hunter plays.
37:29And there's just like too many bodies. But this is clear.
37:32It's Christian Watson, Mike Evans, and Parker Washington are tied.
37:34I agree. Can I ask Greg? I will say Jalen Hurts, though, looms here.
37:38Yeah. One question I had, and I just don't know what to do with them.
37:42So I have just basically been ignoring them, pretend they don't exist.
37:45Jalen Warren versus Rico Dowdle in the Steelers backfield.
37:48You picked Jalen Warren in our ringer draft. Over Rico Dowdle.
37:51Yeah. Why did you do that? Like what do you, how do you envision it kind of like shaking out?
37:56I think number one, he's proven it year after year that he's a good player.
38:00Yeah. And I think Rico Dowdle is a good player too.
38:03But Rico Dowdle doesn't get involved in the passing game.
38:06And I like to believe that, I know it's different systems now, but I'm betting that Warren is going to be the gain well.
38:12Yeah. I just think like the touches he's going to get, the trust from Aaron Rodgers, the usage on like second and third downs.
38:18I just, I want to bet on Warren. Yeah.
38:21I agree. I don't think Rico Dowdle has rocks for hands or anything by any means.
38:25I mean, he had like more catches than Jalen Warren last year, but I do think Jalen Warren.
38:30Is that right? Damn. Yes. I think the roles will be.
38:33We all blacked out. Remember that month where Rico Dowdle led the NFL in rushing yards?
38:37But. Rico's a good player, man. But Rico, but Kenny Gainwell had 73 catches last year.
38:41He had almost 500 receiving yards, Kenny Gainwell. And I do think you're, I agree.
38:45Like you're trying to take the guy who Rodgers is going to make Kenny Gainwell.
38:49And I think Jalen Warren has a much better shot to be 75% of the Gainwell receiving production, but way more goal
38:55line carries and more stuff like that. So I agree.
38:58But realistically, I'm trying to take a receiver in that range.
39:01If Jalen Warren falls, he falls. But I am not trying to like target a running back.
39:06Yeah. I'm trying to add. That's a fair point.
39:08Or if she walks in or Evans or someone there.
39:11Warren had one more catch than Dotto last year.
39:13So fucking watch your shit. Is that true? Yeah.
39:15According to. All right. Watch your shit. Pro football reference.
39:18Evening. Buyers remorse. Buy a new car? I'll be moving in.

40:11It is. Kyle Pitts, the tight end for the Falcons.
40:14Cardinal Tate, the fourth overall pick for the Tennessee Titans this year at receiver.
40:17Marvin Harrison Jr. Maserati. From Arizona Cardinals. Rico Dowdle from the Steelers.
40:20Maserati. Justin. Mazda Marv. Mazda Marv. Mazda Marv. Although I love Mazda, so fuck.
40:24What's another brand? Don't you drive a Mazda? Yeah, I do.
40:27I love Mazda. But I was trying to think of a less luxury M.
40:31What's a less luxury M? Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi? Mitsubishi Marv?
40:33That kind of has a ring to it. Mitsubishi Marv?
40:36Yeah. Okay. Hobbled Herbert for the quarterback of the Los Angeles Chargers.
40:39Tony Pollard for the Titans. Brian Thomas Jr. for the Jaguars.
40:42Dak. Jonathan Brooks. DK Metcalf. RJ Harvey for the Broncos.
40:45Trevor Lawrence for the Jaguars. I had Brian Thomas Jr.
40:48And I'm going to tell you, I don't even like, look, I'm like, I might as well take Herbert here.
40:53I don't like any of these players. I'm praying that someone from the previous round falls.
40:57Like, remind you, Stevenson. I don't want any of these people, if you're being honest.
41:01I think I've been preaching all offseason that late round quarterback is the way to go.
41:05But when you get into drafts and you have a round like this where every other guy, to me, I wrote down, this is what I wrote down.
41:13This round is a nightmare. Outside of quarterback, this round is a nightmare.
41:16Everybody has some sort of major huge red flag that I'm worried about going to the season.
41:21It feels like you're not getting very good value in this round.
41:24Now, you could obviously go into the eighth round and reach on a player that you have a strong conviction on.
41:30You could obviously do that. But again, if we're talking about actual real value, I'm starting to believe I kind of, this is where you take a quarterback.
41:37I think it's about the range where, like, again, I think you want to take a quarterback.
41:42It's like, when do you take a quarterback? When the quarterback starts to completely mog the other player.
41:47Right. That's kind of what I'm saying. And obviously, you don't know what's going to happen with a lot of these guys.
41:53They do have some, there's upside potential with all of them.
41:56But I wrote down Justin Herbert here just because, you know, the Marvin Harrison thing, that's sort of just a bet on
42:01him improving a lot from last year. He's still a talented player.
42:05It's a bet against Kyler and on Marvin Harrison, to be honest.
42:08Right. And then Jonathan Brooks is a bet on him staying healthy.
42:11There's just everybody in this group is a massive red flag.
42:14But with Herbert, new offensive coordinator, new system. I think I saw somebody tweet out the stats the other day.
42:19It was like most motion among teams in preseason and San Diego.
42:23L.A. was number one. The Chargers were number one.
42:25I'm just thinking this could be an incredible, incredible upgrade.
42:28You've been preaching about this all offseason, Mike McDaniel.
42:30Just what he brings. It's somehow underrated because it's all people have been talking about that.
42:34It's like, well, everyone knows. It's like, yeah, but like sometimes it's like there's three bullets and people just like, yeah, Mike McDaniel's there in the offensive line.
42:42And it's like, I think. Think about the Dolphins offense the last couple of years when Tua was healthy.
42:47Tua was putting up big numbers. Like led the league in passing yards.
42:50And it's fucking Herbert. He scored 70 points in a game.
42:53Yeah. And it's like he's the most limited quarterback in the NFL.
42:57And now Mike McDaniel has the most maybe like top five biggest arms, best process.
43:01I just think people are the biggest thing you can have is going from like the worst passing design in the NFL to the best.
43:07I'm just buying all of it. Yeah. Yeah. So I have Herbert and Trevor Lawrence as my two that I've highlighted.
43:13So I honestly, I think round seven folds right into round eight, which is Chris Godwin for the Buccaneers, who is a lovable person and a good situation.
43:20He's Mike Evans left, but he's just coming off an injury as well.
43:24Chuba Hubbard, who has a hamstring injury for the Panthers that I don't want to anything.
43:28It's going to be a split with Brooks very likely this year.
43:31Running back who already has a hamstring injury on a team that's like, yeah, Cortland Sutton, a receiver on the Broncos.
43:37George Kittle, who I like, but again, coming off an Achilles injury.
43:40And I don't really even want to take here just because the hope of Kittle is that because he's questionable and then
43:46you click on it and you see Achilles. People don't take him.
43:49That's why I like Kittles. You do want him to fall.
43:52J.K. Dobbins, the running back for the Broncos, who will probably be good in every game he plays, but then he'll get
43:58hurt because he's never played more than 13 games in a season.
44:01Michael Wilson for the Cardinals. Blake Corum, the running back for the lesser side, the short side of the committee with Kyron Williams and the Rams.
44:08Alec Pierce coming off an ankle surgery for the Colts, just started practicing like less than seven days ago.
44:13Travis Kelsey for the Chiefs, Jackson Dart for the Giants, Jordan Mason running back for the Vikings, and Kyle Manungai on the Bears.
44:20Marshall Lloyd is somewhere in here for the Packers.
44:22I think he would be higher for me. We forgot to mention him.
44:25I think in like round six or seven is probably where I'd start thinking about doing Marshall Lloyd.
44:30The thing with Marshall Lloyd is, in theory, do you want the Packers running back with Josh Jacobs out for half of the whole season?
44:37Sure. And I'm like, Marshall, I can't get over these.
44:40He's like, had six carries in two seasons. It's crazy risky.
44:43Crazy risky. How many people have ever done anything like that?
44:46Had six carries in two years and then made a lead running back on a team.
44:50So who did you pick in this round? Sorry, did you finish the round out?
44:54I feel like this is, we're getting into the nasty part of the draft.
44:58I picked Jordan Mason. Oh, that's a good one.
45:00That's an interesting one. I think Blake Corum could be on the list as well, maybe.
45:04But Jordan Mason is just like, I've seen it.
45:07I think what he did in San Francisco proved to me, like, you know, he was the best waiver wire ad in for like a month.
45:14He was one of the best running backs in fantasy when McCaffrey was out.
45:17They brought in Frank Smith, the new offensive coordinator who was with McDaniel for like four years in Miami.
45:22I think they're going to emphasize outside zone a lot more, which was what Mason was great at in San Francisco with Shanahan.
45:29And like Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones had like 500 yards last year.
45:32He's like 31, 32 years old. He's another likable guy that's cooked.
45:35Yeah. And I'm just like, oh, if the Vikings turn this around and they're decent and they're winning games and they have
45:41leads with Kyler Murray, Jordan Mason, I think, is a really solid pick.
45:44He could kind of have a Rico Dattel type year this year, you know, from last year.
45:49So here's what I, in this exercise where we're going neatly by every 12 people, I would take Blake Corum solely because
45:55I'm like anything that happens to Kyler Williams should have a top five running back.
45:59But in reality, what I actually want to happen in my draft, and I think the essence of what we've been preaching
46:05all offseason, whether it works or not, is that round six group, which we really like.
46:09I want someone from round six to fall into round seven.
46:12So Christian Watson, Mike Evans, Parker Washington, or Ramondra Stevenson.
46:15I want to fall around and I want to get one of those guys in round seven.
46:19And you're like considering two people on the clock, one falls back to round seven.
46:23And then in round eight, when you're like all, you're picking between Courtland Sutton and Chris Godwin and Alec Pierce.
46:29Now you can take Herbert, which one of the, which pick a number, like a tall, great quarterback with the new Caleb
46:35Williams from the Bears, Justin Herbert from the Chargers or Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars.
46:39One of those guys has tended to fall to round eight because that's where I'm like, oh my God, I would so
46:44much rather have Justin Herbert than like Michael Wilson or Alec Pierce.
46:48That's generally what's actually been happening in the drafts of there.
46:51The two guys in this round that I'm actually considering drafting are Michael Wilson and Blake Corum.
46:55I think also you make a good point about Jordan Mason.
46:58I think he's a really good later round, you know, kind of just.
47:02Michael Wilson is another guy that we have not talked about at all.
47:05Are we going to follow up? Are we going to actually follow through on that?
47:09We actually believe Michael Wilson is better and will be better than Marvin Harrison Jr.
47:13I will make a vow that for the rest of my draft this offseason, I will never select Marvin Harrison if Michael Wilson is on the board.
47:20I will select Michael Wilson. I think in sticking to my priors, I'll probably go Marv over Wilson.
47:25But I think you absolutely have to build in the potential that Michael Wilson is just a better player.
47:30Than Mitsubishi Marv? Yeah. Mini Cooper Marv? Mini Cooper?
47:33No, he's getting bigger. Macro Cooper. Yeah. Well, Mini Coopers are bigger than they used to be.
47:37They are? It is Mitsubishi. Oh, yeah. Have you ever seen like a real Mini Cooper?
47:41They're fucking tiny. Like from the 10 years ago or 50s?
47:44From like the 60s or whatever. From like Italian job?
47:47Yeah, maybe. No, I think those are newer. Well, there's the OG Italian job.
47:51Oh, really? There's no Mini Coopers in the original.
47:53Or are there? You know what? You know what?
47:56I don't know. Nathan's spinoff of Italian Job. I feel like Mini Coopers were really small to start with.
48:01I could be wrong about that. I don't really know.
48:03I've actually never driven one. Anyway, regardless, I think Michael Wilson.
48:06Yeah, I think the original movie does have Mini Coopers.
48:09The 60s movie. Anyway, that's super irrelevant. Keep going.
48:11I think Michael Wilson, this is a good spot in the draft to take a shot at the idea that he has an incredible upside.
48:18I mean, we saw him when Marvin Harrison was off the field.
48:21He was basically an alpha number one. He's averaging 22 points a game or something like that.
48:26I think he has that potential. We've seen him do it, albeit it's a small sample.
48:30But new offense, new play caller. Roles could change.
48:33He might move around a little bit more. He might be the guy that they actually get the ball to the most.
48:38Even if he's not the quote-unquote alpha of the offense.
48:41It is extremely. Absolutely. It's fine. And I don't know.
48:44Like the LeFleur aspect. Mike LeFleur, little brother of Matt LeFleur.
48:47That aspect of it could change things a lot in their offense.
48:50Maybe their offense is just way more efficient this year.
48:53We've seen what Matt LeFleur did with the Packers offense.
48:55Every year it's super, super efficient. Even if they're not the best offense in the NFL, they're getting big plays, all that stuff.
49:01And I think Bursette raises the floor of that offense.
49:04And they're going to be losing a lot. So they're going to be passing a lot.
49:08So I went with Michael Wilson here. In round eight, I think going by the list of those 12 people at Blake Whorham.
49:15Just because I think the upside. But he's going to play and he'll be a usable player with crazy upside.
49:20He's a Powerball ticket when it's $30 billion or whatever.
49:23What's the highest Powerball has gone? Like a couple billion?
49:25Two billion? I think he did get that two billion.
49:28A few billion. Crazy. Round nine. Are we still reading all these names?
49:31Yeah. Screw it. Sha'Kory Krosky, running back for Washington.
49:34Bill. He's hurt. I wouldn't die. He's injured. Take him.
49:37He's injured. Bill. Fucking A. Dalton Kincaid, the tight end for the Bills.
49:40Isaiah Likely for the Giants. Bo Nix, quarterback for the Broncos.
49:43Quentin Johnson, receiver for the Chargers. Matt Stafford, MVP for the Rams.
49:46Outside the top 100. Fantasy football is stupid. Makai Lemon, rookie receiver for the Eagles.
49:50Patrick Mahomes. You've heard of him. Once again. It's kind of wild.
49:53Lemons to still this high. Can we just? I know that you guys always get mad at me for saying this.
49:59But you know, fantasy football is stupid when Makai Lemon's going ahead of fucking Patrick Mahomes at anything.
50:04Jordan Addison, receiver for the Vikings. Kenny Gainwell for the Buccaneers.
50:07And Brock Purdy for the Niners. And Dijon Stripling, rookie receiver also for the 49ers.
50:11The Strip Club. The Strip Club. I took Quentin Johnston here.
50:14I did too. We were on weeks ago and I think he's starting to rise up.
50:18He had a beautiful touchdown this season last week.
50:20Yes, I wasn't pissed that happened because he probably jumped around because of it.
50:24Easily. But I think that he has massive upside.
50:27And like there is a chance that he could outscore Ladd McConkie this year.
50:30I do think that's possible. I think there's two.
50:33I think there's three really good picks in this round.
50:35Well, you could argue more. But I actually like this round.
50:38There's quite a few guys I like. Because Dalton Kikade I think is a worthy shot at upside if he just plays more.
50:45But Quentin Johnson was one I wrote down. And I want to add in Kenneth Gainwell.
50:49Not a bad pick at this spot in the draft.
50:52I think he's going to have a very similar role to what we've seen with Rashad White in the past.
50:57Where he's a big part of the passing game.
50:59Just a, you know, Swiss Army Knife type player for them in the backfield.
51:03And if Bucky Irving gets hurt, he's going to get a ton of value.
51:07What? I apologize. Someone said this the other day.
51:09I don't remember who I heard this from. But they made the point.
51:13We always say that Swiss Army player. Swiss Army Knives suck.
51:16Yeah, but they have so many tools. But they all.
51:18None of them work. None of them work. You ever try to use the knife or the scissors in a Swiss Army Knife?
51:24It's useless. It's the idea of it's cool. In practice, I don't use it.
51:28Okay, counter. You're doing that in your home. Playing with it for fun.
51:32Maybe if you're fucking stuck in the middle of the woods.
51:35Yes. And you have nothing else. It's extremely useful.
51:37You need a fucking tool to be able to make a net or something.
51:41A situational stopgap to get through a few things.
51:43Which, again, that's fine. But I actually do think that's what Kenny Gainwell is.
51:47He's a usable player that you'll be able to play.
51:50But I think the upside, if he's not Aaron Rodgers, is not going first read Kenny Gainwell on every goddamn drop back.
51:56Baker Mayfield is like, I'm going to die with the ball in my hand.
51:59He's the opposite of Aaron Rodgers. Baker's not like, Chris Gottman's not open.
52:03Fuck it. Get rid of the ball. He's going to get crocked in the backfield.
52:07He checks down to Kenny Gainwell. He's going to get crocked.
52:10I was going back to crack and rocked. And I kind of like.
52:13Cracked. Ended up with crocked. Crack rocked? He's going to get cracked.
52:16It's always sunny. One crack rock, please. But no, I just think Baker's not going to check down to Kenny Gainwell 80 times like Aaron Rodgers did.
52:24He's just too busy ripping passes. Too busy ripping passes.
52:26He's like, I can't. You know what I mean?
52:29And so I just think Kenny Gainwell's like, same player, but like the still a good real life player, but like the such a.
52:35Yeah. Less. I just think option. I agree. I agree with all that.
52:39I think he's like, yeah, yeah. No, no, no.
52:41You're right. I think it's true. And that's why he is where he is.
52:45He's over the hundredth pick here. But I think people are pricing the Buccaneers a lot.
52:49Like the way that they played last year when both of their starting tackles were hurt.
52:53Their quarterback was really hurt. Like eight different injuries.
52:56I think if the offensive line for the Buccaneers can get healthy and stay healthy, it changes everything about that offense.
53:01And I think it raises the floor for every single person in that offense.
53:05So that's why I'm like taking him here. But the other guy I wanted to bring up, I think Bo Nix and
53:11Brock Purdy good picks in this area. Deshaun Stribling, Deshaun Stribling, I should say, is I think a very fun pick to make.
53:17Everything he's done in the preseason is incredible. He looks like he has instant chemistry with Brock Purdy and just like his use in the offense.
53:24Mike Evans, history of being hurt. Devo Samuel, history of being hurt.
53:27Christian McCaffrey, history of being hurt. George Kittle is hurt coming off an injury.
53:31There's a chance that Stribling legitimately leads this team in targets.
53:34If not Christian McCaffrey. Yeah. He's one of the more high upside picks that is like, I mean, he went early in the ringer league.
53:41I think Mal took him in like the sixth or seventh, eighth rounds.
53:44Like it will be hard to get him because he is the most, he is like the rookie du jour of the season.
53:50But I agree with you. So did you do Quentin Johnson?
53:53I have Quentin Johnson. We all had Quentin Johnson.
53:56Quentin Johnson and Stribling. Those are the two guys that stand out.
53:59Yeah. Now I think round 10. Round 10, it gets weird.
54:02So Stefan Diggs for Washington, who I actually think Diggs has still has it, but Washington is kind of a mess now.
54:08Are we overrating how bad we think the, the commander's offense is going to be based on some like training camp news?
54:14Can I give you a, well, they're left tackle.
54:16Yes, I know. But like just the way, just, you know what I mean?
54:20Things like this tend to get overstated. It's the right question.
54:23And to your, to what you're talking about, Washington, I think everyone's kind of losing faith in Jane Daniels under center, losing
54:29their center, Nick Allegretti losing Laramie Tunsil, their left tackle.
54:31There's two kinds of ways this goes. And you said, good, good thing to flag DK.
54:36There's a team that everyone kind of is like, they're going to suck.
54:39And the fans are like, screw you. No, we're not.
54:42We're going to be good. Just watch. And then there's the one where the media is like, that team's going to suck.
54:48And the fans are like, dude, it's so over.
54:50And that usually the fan, the fans, when the fans are out too, when the fans are out and the media is out, those teams don't always shock.
54:58Just to be honest, the teams, the fans defend usually do better.
55:01To be honest. I'm just saying like a healthy Jane Daniels, what we saw as a rookie.
55:05I can't keep that. I can't get that in my mind.
55:08The way he elevated what we thought was going to be a pretty bad offense.
55:12The case for digs is that he got his first downs per route run, which I think is the most common sense
55:18stats of all these advanced stats is often get of all the routes.
55:22How many times you get a first down? It's the point of every play.
55:25Other than any touchdown, the point of every place to get a first down.
55:29And Stefan digs is like top 10 with all these elite receivers still, even if it's on a lower snap share.
55:35So I'm like, that's the case is that's a very predictive stat.
55:38With that said, round 10 is Stefan digs for Washington.
55:41Now Josh downs on the Colts, who I think is going, this is like a reasonable range, but I hate Keenan Allen being on this team.
55:48I don't think it's going to be fun for anyone.
55:50The Texans defense is going here, which I get because they're fun to watch.
55:54And I get why people are like, well, I filled out my roster.
55:58I'll take a defense. I don't think you should do it, but I get it.
56:02Jaden Reed on the Packers, Michael Pittman receiver for the Steelers, Jordan Tyson for the Saints.
56:06Who's out like two months and don't take him unless you have an IR spot.
56:10Rams defense goes here. I think cause miles Garrett and Aaron Donald came back.
56:14Brandon Aubrey, he's the kicker. Bill took a kicker.
56:16You guys fucking left me out to dry. Well, no chain took the kicker first.
56:20In like the seventh round, eighth round. When was it?
56:23You guys, so that we did the ringer draft on Netflix last week.
56:26You can go watch it. We wanted to keep the heat on you, pal.
56:30I screamed at Dave Chang. Then Sean Finnecy screamed at us.
56:33There's a whole thing, but like then Dave Chang took him little as a kicker in the eighth round or the seventh round.
56:39To be honest, I'm, I'm surprised seeing Brandon Aubrey here in the 10th.
56:43That's, that's not that far off from what Chang and Bill did.
56:46Yes, it is far. It's two rounds. It's 25 players off.
56:49Okay. But not, not when you say we always recommend that you should take a kicker dead last, which is round, I don't know, 16.
56:55So the worst thing to take a kicker around 16, they took one in round eight.
57:00Yeah. ADP says 10, much closer to where they, it's not that far off.
57:03One bench player. They took a kicker. I mean, I agree.
57:06I think it's crazy, but I was, I'm actually surprised to see Aubrey's name here in the 10th round.
57:11That's all. You're saying it'd be higher. Should be lower.
57:14Should be lower. That generally, that's how it goes.
57:17People, people do what Dave and Bill did. It just surprises me because Bill's been playing fantasy for 30 years.
57:22All right. Who else is in this round? sorry.
57:24Yeah. I would just keep getting distracted here. Jake Ferguson.
57:27Jake Ferguson tight end for the Cowboys. Rashad White for the, he's on Washington now.
57:31Dallas Goddard for the Eagles tight end and Jared Goff for the lines.
57:34I took Jaden Reed. Yeah, I did too. Because I just think he's so, it's hard to get a receiver that they
57:40try to get Enzo touches so much, but digs.
57:43I think digs. Diggs is probably the right answer.
57:45I initially wrote down downs, but I think I'm changing it to digs in my mind because I just, what he did last year.
57:52I do worry. The only thing I worry about with digs, and that's what you worry about with downs and read really
57:57in this round, in, in this area is they're just not going to play enough.
58:01Yeah. They're going to be rotational players who only come in when they're playing in the slot in 13 personnel, which is three receivers on the field.
58:09That's my big worry with a lot of these receivers.
58:11Yeah. If you wanted to zag against that and not just have to worry about that Pippen to me is Michael, the
58:17other pick in here that I'm like, I think he might lead this team in target.
58:22There's a decent chance. Michael Pittman has like 85 catches.
58:24I think there's a decent chance. Michael Pittman has 12 touchdowns this year because Michael Pittman, again, he fell to me in
58:30the ringer league last year and he was incredible for the first six weeks.
58:34I think he still got it, but in a way I will say we've barely talked about him.
58:39I think I've used Pittman as an example. He's only like 28 years old.
58:42Yeah. We had a broken back, but I'll say, yeah, he did a broken back.
58:46Yeah. But I will say that. It's kind of a red flag, but his style makes more sense for the Steelers.
58:52It's like Alan Lazard for fucking Rogers. Totally. The way that DK Metcalf is big, but does it play big?
58:57Yes. Which like, you know, alligator arms like DK Metcalf is not going up and high pointing the ball.
59:03He's a finesse receiver. Yeah. Pitman goes over the middle of the field and like boxes people out.
59:07Yeah. Like a power forward. When Aaron Rogers is like trying to throw a fade to the corner, that makes like, like
59:13giving Pittman, like Aaron Rogers wants to throw passes where either the receiver has a 20% chance to get him or an 80% chance of incompletion.
59:20But Aaron Rogers, I think wants to retire with the lowest interception rate of all time.
59:24And so Michael Pitman is like a better option for him.
59:27So I wouldn't be shocked if Michael Pitman has 11 touchdowns and you get him in round 10.
59:32Like, I agree that it's not sexy, but this is the, this is a boring player that could win.
59:37Totally. He could be like really off brand Mike Evans.
59:40Yeah. Oh fuck. That's exactly what it is. We should have done that.
59:43Shit. Yeah. All right. Well, we just did technically.
59:46We did. All right. Yeah. Michael Pitman's off brand Mike Evans.
59:49He's even named Mike. And they're kind of like big guy end zone guys on new teams, on new teams.
59:54But you know, he's what five years younger than Mike Evans.
59:57It's kind of like Mike Evans is stunt double.
60:00Yeah. It's like, wow. Okay. Michael Pitman round 11.
60:02This is where it gets all over the place.
60:04Aaron Jones, the wash running back for the Vikings, Mark Andrews for the Ravens, which is a value we've liked.
60:10Broncos defense, Seahawks defense, defense is gone. Casey Concepcion, the rookie first round receiver for the Browns, Mike Washington jr.
60:15Running back for the Raiders. He probably goes higher than this because this ADP is, he does now going undrafted, then shooting
60:21up the board because Ashton Jens, he got hurt.
60:23So Mike Washington's probably off the board by here.
60:26To be honest, Wanda Robbins of the Titans, who was the opposite was going higher, but then got concussion.
60:31So I think Wanda was dropping Kyler Murray for the Vikings, which this is why I like late quarterback is because Kyler Murray is going behind four defenses.
60:38Matthew golden received for the Packers, Jacoby Myers, the, for the Jaguars, Marshall Lloyd for the Packers.
60:43He's not going here either. He's going much earlier than this.
60:46Baker Mayfield for the Buccaneers. So I think Marshall Lloyd and Mike Washington kind of don't count because like, they're not going to be in round 11.
60:53They're going to be long gone. So with that said, who in this range do you guys like?
60:58For me, it's Kyler Murray. I mean round 11.
61:00I have Mark Andrews, but I also have Kyler Murray.
61:03It's like, I like his, the quarterback 17 going off the board in round 11.
61:07Yeah. 100% a great pick. But I do like Mark Andrews.
61:10I mean, he's the 15th tight end going off the board.
61:13I think he could be starting caliber this year and has a chance to score like 10 touchdowns.
61:18So I do think those are my two picks.
61:20Yeah. Mark Andrews. I had Wanda Robinson who I've been all over.
61:23Yeah. You took him in the ring early. You don't have to hear my spiel again.
61:28He's just going to be a PPR scam. He's going to get a ton of targets in this offense.
61:33I think what he did last year. Yeah. Like a hundred and whatever it was, 120.
61:37Andrews is an interesting one. I do feel like in all the drafts I've been, because he has a famous name, he's going earlier in this.
61:44He is. Maybe this is like overall, like overall ADP.
61:47I believe it. He went earlier in the ringer league.
61:49It does feel like he's going a lot earlier.
61:52It's literally a name brand. Yeah. Kelsey's always going to go a little earlier.
61:55But if he does fall here, I would jump all over Mark Andrews.
61:59It is a good point though, that there's a very serious chance that if you were like, wanted double digit touchdowns.
62:05Yeah. In the outside the top 100, Michael Pittman and Mark Andrews double tap on boring old veterans though.
62:10So that it's not crazy to think that they're going to combine for 20 plus.
62:14Where are you guys at with like right now around 11?
62:17How many defenses did you list to the third and fourth defense?
62:20Seahawks, Texans, Broncos, the Rams, the round before was the other two defenses, like the whatever.
62:24Where do you guys feel about, or how do you feel about defenses right around now?
62:28Are you like, I'm waiting till the very end there.
62:31It is very common for people look at the ringer draft to be like, I'm going to get the Seahawks defense in
62:37the 11th round and I'll just start them every week, all year.
62:40And I'll be set. I think kicker is crazy.
62:43I think taking a kicker early is crazy. Bill wants to watch Brandon Aubrey play football, which is, that's fine.
62:48That's a rule of mine. Brandon Aubrey brings Bill joy that I actually kind of like get like Danny Chow, who actually
62:54has left the ringer and since come back. He always wanted to, there was a kicker he liked that he would always take this kicker.
63:01And I'm like, if the guy you like the guy, he like won the league when you're at this kicker.
63:06And he's like, I just want that guy on my team.
63:09I'm like, that's fine. It's fantasy football. You can have what you want.
63:12But generally speaking, just take, I don't even draft kickers.
63:15If you don't have to, just pick one up.
63:17They're like logs. Yeah. But defenses, I understand. I don't do it.
63:21I understand. Like I would rather draft, for example, I think the Ravens defense is going to be great and you can get them really late.
63:28Or I look at a team like the Chargers and the Chargers first two games are against the Chiefs.
63:33Or sorry, no, that's, that's last year. I got that wrong.
63:36No, this year, the Chargers first two games are the Cardinals and the Raiders.
63:39And I'm like, I look at defenses, get me through the first two weeks.
63:43And then you will be able to find a defense at that point to get you through a three stretch.
63:48And I'm like, you give me the Chargers in the last round.
63:52And I'm like the Cardinals first game of the season.
63:54And then Kirk Cousins week two. I just, that'll be fine.
63:57Yeah. I don't want to pay. But if you want Miles Garrett and Aaron Donald, I'm not going to be like, that's dumb.
64:03I know. It's like one of those things. How do you feel about the set and forget defense style and fantasy?
64:09Like, like for instance, I have the Vikings defense in the ringer league week one.
64:13They're playing green Bay. The reason why I don't feel great about that.
64:17I'm like, well, if I want to hold on to the Vikings defense all year, because let's say 75% of the time I'm going to start them.
64:24Yeah. Do I now have to begin the season with two defenses because I can't start Minnesota against green Bay.
64:29So I have to find another defense playing a shitty team.
64:32And now I have two defense. Yes. So maybe it's funny because week one, people forget week one is always an extension of the preseason.
64:39Lower score. And so week one, it's when you're like, unless it's like the bills or the Rams or someone incredible, I'm not really afraid of week one.
64:46I will say this. This is actually my real answer for people like of what you should do with defense.
64:52It's actually an extension of how I feel about going no running backs early.
64:55If you like doing waivers. And one of the things you like about fantasy football is trying to add people of waivers live in the street.
65:02Don't take a defense or take a defense in the last, in the second last round and then take a kicker.
65:08But if you're kind of like trying to get into fantasy football, but you feel a little overwhelmed by the transaction aspect of it all.
65:15Take the Texans. That's okay. Because that's like, know thyself, the Texans or the Seahawks or the Rams.
65:19And you're like, I don't want to be have to reading or like listening to the shows about like finding a fucking defense every week.
65:26That to me is the answer. It's like, then take the Texans.
65:29I have a good time. But how do you feel about like Texans?
65:33Great example. Week one, they play the bills. Are you starting them?
65:36That yes, they kicked the shit out of the bills.
65:39The Texans are so good that it actually doesn't matter.
65:41They're matchup. If everyone's healthy, the only reason you're not playing the Texans this year in your fantasy lineup as a defense
65:47is if they have a bunch of injuries. But I actually do think we've never talked about this, but that is my
65:53answer is if you, if you kind of dread it, fantasy football should be fun.
65:57If you dread adding a defense, just take a good one.
66:00I think the other thing is, and to that point, Heifetz, you kind of got to know your league a little bit.
66:06Yes. In our league, the ringer league, people were getting kickers early.
66:09They were getting defenses early. There was like early runs on all these things.
66:13And that's a little bit different than if you know, if you've been in a league for 20 years or 10 years
66:19or whatever, and you know, everyone's just going to wait until the last round, then it doesn't make sense to go early.
66:25Like in my home leagues, defenses go max like $2.
66:27Yeah. Same. Yeah. Maybe three. For the most part, everyone's in on it together.
66:31And it's like, then, then if you're spending big on a defense, it's a massive waste of money because you're missing out
66:37on the opportunity costs for the guys you can draft in this area that have, might have really good contingent upside and could win you your league.
66:44If someone gets hurt or whatever, that being said, like every year we have a defense, it feels like now that is scoring like 20 points a game.
66:52It's kind of wild. Um, I remember like a couple of years ago, the Patriots defense for half the year was like
66:58one of the top 20 overall scoring. If you, depending on the, the like scoring systems in your league, but I mean,
67:04having the Patriots that year was like having Jamar chase or something.
67:07Yeah. So it's like, I kind of sometimes, I understand some people want to, you know, kind of get ahead of that,
67:13but it's, I think it's hard to predict which team team that's going to be.
67:17So it's just better off. The opportunity costs too high.
67:19The opportunity cost comes down to this. Bill was able to get Mike Washington jr.
67:23And the Raiders as a handcuff to Ashton Jentey.
67:26And normally handcuffing is like a controversial strategy, but not if Ashton Jentey's hurt.
67:30And Bill basically bailed himself out of having Jentey because he got Mike Washington because six defenses went ahead of him and two kickers.
67:36And it's like, that's the, that's the cost of doing it.
67:39And like, that's why we say, don't take defenses kickers to the finals of rounds.
67:43Cause like good players slip by when other people do it.
67:46With that said, we're going to get into like some deeper sleepers here.
67:49This next segment is brought to you by Verizon.
67:52Fantasy football season is all about finding those small upgrades that can make a huge difference by week one.
67:57The sleeper pick, nobody's talking about moving up a tier at the right position.
68:01There's quick, smart decisions that can change your whole season.
68:03So let's talk about draft day upgrades. I want to kind of bunch together the next rounds.
68:08Cause at this point we're talking about round 12.
68:10There's like a couple of rounds left in your bench.
68:13The rankings don't matter anymore. You're trying to get a couple of people in your bench that are generally speaking, big upside or whatever.
68:19You know, it's hard. It depends on your team.
68:22If you have Malik Willis or Kyler Murray, maybe you had a quarterback or, you know, if you have not that many
68:28running backs, you get a handcuff, whatever. Like you're trying to just get a high upside player.
68:32I am curious who the players are DK that you thought were specifically like you're targeting this part of the draft.
68:38Like the rankings, 130 picks. There's always a couple of guys I want at the end of my bench.
68:43Number one, if you go tight end early and then you want to get a guy that you think, or if you took Kittle, right?
68:50Jawan Johnson for the saints to me is great.
68:52He's going to be a big, he's going to have a big time target rate.
68:56We saw it last year. He had over a hundred targets last year.
69:00We don't ever talk about it. He had the third most yards amongst all tight ends in the NFL.
69:05He had 900 yards. I think it comes down to if Johnson can have, nobody, I had no fucking idea.
69:10If he has six touchdowns, seven touchdowns, he's going to be a top six guy in, in at the tight end position in fantasy.
69:16The other two guys that I always look for are Keaton Mitchell for the chargers who is just explosive.
69:22I think he could have a big part of their offense.
69:24You know, McDaniel really likes him and talks about him constantly.
69:27And then Jonah Coleman for the Broncos is the other guy really like, um, if Jacob Dobbins doesn't end up being healthy
69:33for the Broncos, I think Coleman is going to end up being the starter for that team.
69:38I think those are all great. I have Johnson.
69:40I have Mitchell. The only other guy I'd like to flick at is Romeo Dubs.
69:44Yeah. I like that one. We haven't talked about him at all.
69:47Who I think is a really capable player. Last year, he was very startable in fantasy.
69:52He was like a rock solid person on your roster.
69:54And like, there's a million, there was a million wide receivers in green Bay last year.
69:59He was kind of the steady hand. Now it's like him and AJ Brown in new England.
70:03If I even think on his own, he could still be serviceable as like a guy you could potentially play as your
70:09flex with AJ Brown, but also like AJ Brown has had issues.
70:12His knee issues. If he misses any games, Romeo Dobbins might be a phenomenal pick.
70:16Yeah. Yeah. That's a great one. And then I would highlight the exact opposite of Romeo Dobbins, where if Dobbins is kind
70:22of reliable, Rashid Shaheed for the Seahawks, who is liable to get you zero points, but also can get you 20 plus.
70:28And if he actually starts playing at all, like he was with the saints, like where he's kind of like quietly make
70:34one of the premier deep threats in the entire league.
70:37Yeah. So Shaheed intrigues me. Chris Rodriguez jr. For the Jaguars, who we'll see how much the Jaguars are really able to run the ball this year.
70:44Cause they might not be good running as much as we think, but Liam Cohen has elevated plenty of offensive lines before.
70:50And Chris Rodriguez has a small, but not insignificant chance to just outright be the Jaguars started this year at running back.
70:56You mentioned Juwan Johnson, Jonah Coleman. The other one I'll say is I repeat from earlier, Caleb Johnson, who just got, went
71:02from the Steelers to the Packers and he did nothing in Pittsburgh.
71:05So he's completely irrelevant off the fantasy radar. I don't think Caleb Johnson can get drafted out of Iowa.
71:10But again, I really do think Caleb Johnson didn't play because Aaron Rogers doesn't like rookies.
71:14Caleb Johnson, isn't going to be able to protect for Rogers and Rogers is two hits away from being retired.
71:20And Caleb Johnson was not going to be able to adapt to zone running without a bunch of, out of shotgun.
71:25And now all those things are changing. I think Caleb Johnson has Jonah Coleman shooting up in stock.
71:30Like I think Caleb Johnson's replaced it. Jonah Coleman is the guy's going undrafted.
71:34That might be like a legit fantasy starting running back, like early in the season.
71:38Totally agree. And Malik Willis, also the quarterback for the Dolphins who, depending on your league could be a trendy sleeper, but
71:44also might be undrafted and is the fastest quarterback in the NFL.
71:47So those guys. Okay. Any other sleepers? I think that's a pretty good list.
71:51Got a lot of names on there. I was going to mention two more guys real quick.
71:55Just say their names. Look at them as Craig says, Caitlin black for the 49ers.
71:59Looks like he's going to be the backup. Just a good handcuff.
72:02And then Emmett Johnson for the Chiefs. Another good handcuff potential guy behind my guy, Kenneth Walker, in case Kenneth Walker gets hurt.
72:09Emmett Johnson's looked great in the preseason. The new Jarek McKinnon.
72:12Yeah. While you're upgrading your fantasy roster, check out how you can upgrade your game day with Verizon.

73:08You've had open for weeks. Gemini and Chrome is here for it.
73:11Ready to make anything online. Make sense. There's no place like Chrome check responses, set up required compatibility and availability.
73:17Various 18 plus a couple of things before we get out of here.
73:20We mentioned the Rams defense, but Aaron Donald did come out of retirement.
73:24Get a hobby, man. I think he's going to be good.
73:27I think he's going to be awesome. Everyone's like, of course he is.
73:30I think he's going to be fucking great. He's built if the snap count thing is overrated.
73:35People like, Oh, I'll be in a step count.
73:37Here's two things about Aaron Donald. He's the most double player.
73:40Darren Donald faced two blockers more than anyone in the 21st century, basically.
73:44And miles Garrett is going to mean that that's not necessarily possible.
73:47So any decline in physicality Aaron Donald has, I think will be like, if he's drawing double teams, then that means miles.
73:53Garrett's facing one blocker where they have to have like way more people on the line.
73:57So you're either, if Aaron Donald's good enough to draw a double team, he's doing his job.
74:02But if he's not, then any decline in physicality, I think is going to be Aaron Donald.
74:06What hasn't seen more than 10 one-on-ones in a game in like seven years.
74:10And so that is like a dynamic. People aren't thinking about it.
74:13You have two guys are going to draw four blockers.
74:16Basically the other one, Aaron Donald once held out of training camp so long until he got a contract extension that Aaron
74:22Donald missed the first week of the season. And then he won defensive player of the year.
74:26I just find this to be fascinating because he's been at, he's missed two seasons, right?
74:30He hasn't missed four. I feel like people are talking about it as though he hasn't played in half a decade.
74:36It's basically as though he had like a bad injury and he's coming back, except he wasn't hurt.
74:41And he's just been resting and working out. I also wonder.
74:44He's 35 right now. I think 35. Yeah. You know, he's like younger than Cam Hayward.
74:48I kind of wonder, this is probably stupid, but if there will ever be a thing where like part-time playing is smart,
74:54or like taking years off becomes more common. I don't know.
74:57I think about what Aaron Donald could have been doing to his body in the last two years in LA.
75:02Like he, he could take steroids. You can do whatever you want.
75:06Yeah. It's legal to recover in whatever way you want.
75:08The guy who needed steroids, the least of any guy in history.
75:11No, totally. But I'm just saying like, it's interesting that he can kind of like recover and work out in a, in
75:17the most perfect way for him for two years and kind of preserve his muscles in the best way possible, rather than
75:23having to deal with the rigors of the NFL.
75:26So like, I'm just saying like my, the worry about like, he's 35 now.
75:29I'm like, I, I don't think he is 35 physically because of the last two years.
75:34I don't think count the same as two years of NFL football.
75:37I think that to your point, I think when just the phrase you say, preserve muscles, they're losing muscle.
75:42Like, you know how hard it is to be honestly, the whole point is he's trying to preserve them.
75:47I know. But what I'm saying is, I think people are treating this the right way, because on one hand, I think
75:53people are not overrating how hard it'll be because it's insane, but people are also, it is insanely hard to stay in NFL shape.
75:59There's a reason all the offensive linemen lose weight.
76:02That's the only, the Cam Hayward thing. I think the problem for Aaron Donald is you have to get back into NFL defensive lineman shape.
76:08Yeah. And like, first of all, the amount these guys have to eat, like he has to add so much muscle probably.
76:14And again, we've been talking about, he's definitely in shape because he made Jared verse like fucking vomit at his house and he held Jared verse hostage.
76:22It's a picture of him. Yeah. I actually want to see it.
76:25He looks great. Can you zoom in on his chest?
76:27Hold on. Can you zoom in on his chest?
76:30I'm serious. Like I, I've seen him in person.
76:32I'm curious. I mean, he still looks like he's in pretty fucking good shape.
76:36Yeah. He looks the same. I don't know. This is what I, this is.
76:40It doesn't have to be. I understand what Heifetz is saying.
76:43I understand what Heifetz is saying. I think that applies for like most human beings.
76:47And Aaron Donald is not most human beings. He did say, he's like, I got to make, he spent like the last like two months.
76:53He's like making sure that I could like physically commit to what I know the NFL has to offer.
76:59He's always been an absolute complete outlier. There was a reason he dropped to like whatever it was, 13 in the draft
77:04because he was shorter and not like whatever. He didn't look like a normal defensive tackle and whatever.
77:09He's always been an extreme outlier. And the, I'm just like terrified about this.
77:13He's literally, if I could pick any defensive player that I think could do this, it's him.
77:18And here, here's why we keep, we mentioned this, but it's worth repeating.
77:21He did not go out because of injuries. He went out like, like JG Watt.
77:25If he had tried to come back to you, like JG Watt had a slow decline because of injuries.
77:30Aaron Donald left as, was he a first team all pro?
77:33Probably. Second team all pro when he went out?
77:35This is what I'm saying. I'm like, this man for the last two years has been healthy and just working out, staying
77:41in perfect shape and doing anything he wants to his body to just be a physical specimen.
77:46And it's like, if he had only been out for one year, I feel like nobody would be saying anything, but it's
77:52like the fact that it's been two changes stuff.
77:54People are out for years all the time because of injury.
77:57I was going to say this. I was actually saving this for the take purge, but I actually just believe it so
78:03much that I'm going to say it here. He's a year late.
78:06If Aaron Donald had done this last year, that's the only reason.
78:09That's the only thing that's like giving me a little seed of doubt.
78:13It's like, why didn't you do this last year?
78:15Getting the opportunity to play next to Garrett is different.
78:18We talked about this in November. We were like, where is Aaron Donald?
78:22You just kept saying it. I was like, shut the fuck up.
78:25Shut the fuck up. Don't give me any ideas.
78:27The entire December, January run, we're like, why the fuck is Aaron Donald not coming out of retirement?
78:32And like, I think, well, I kind of think the Rams would have won the Super Bowl if he had just done this last year.
78:39He would have picked up that ball that Charbonnet grabbed.
78:41You joke, but he would have done that. He would have dove on it.
78:45He absolutely would have done that. Do you think, this is probably dumb, also dumb.
78:49I've said, this would be my second dumb thing.
78:51Do you think there's a chance that it's because coming out of 2024, the Rams were like 10 and seven.
78:57We like, didn't exactly know which way things were going.
79:00And he was like, Oh, well, there was also Stafford was, yeah, Stafford was hanging out in the cool.
79:05Am I really going to come back as a team?
79:07Whatever it was. And they're threatening to trade. They didn't want to pay Stafford.
79:11They were pretending they were going to trade him.
79:13Exactly. So he was probably like, Hey, the run's over.
79:16I won the Super Bowl. This team is on the way down.
79:19And then last year they were fucking incredible. And now he's like, okay, I see it now.
79:24And they got my scared. Yeah. So maybe he just like, didn't feel like it was worth it.
79:29I think the other, it's hard to, it's hard to be the turn.
79:32Him having the entire last four months to consider this and like prep his body rather than like, it's December.
79:38And someone's like, Hey, Aaron Donald, why don't you come back?
79:40There's something very, just would have won the Super Bowl.
79:43There's something very comic bookie about him coming back.
79:46Like getting the team together. It's like Avengers Doomsday.
79:48It's fucking Avengers. Which I don't, it might be derogatory, but he, I saw this tweet the other day.
79:53It's like, there's never been two teammates that have had a hundred total career sacks and both had 20 plus sacks in a season on the same team.
80:01We've never seen two players. Like this on the same team before.
80:04It's the trailer, the new Doomsday trailer where it's like, we knew Thor was going to be in it.
80:09And then it's like, Captain America shows up and everyone's like, how does this make sense?
80:13didn't he retire? Can he not be here? And then it's like, somehow he's here and the fucking hammer goes into his hand.
80:19Yeah. It's the same shit. Oh yeah. It literally is that.
80:22Yeah. And you're like, hoping it's the same. You're like, don't ruin this.
80:26We have such good memories about this. I would say like, you know, if you want to be, if you want to
80:32throw a little cold water on it and be a wet blanket about it, like at the very least, he does make their defense quite a bit better.
80:39Right? Like he's, he comes in, like that's at the very bottom line.
80:43He's not going to make it worse. No, but I'm like the very worst case scenario is he's a situational pass rusher that makes him harder to defend.
80:50It makes him harder to play against. Literally one of the best players ever.
80:54Yeah. It's going to stink if, if, if Stafford gets injured.
80:57Yeah. I, as much. Well, that's why they drafted Ty Simpson.
81:00So, so Stetson Bennett can be their second quarterback.
81:02As much as you don't want the Rams to do well, I do want them to just be healthy because this is such a fun thing to watch.
81:10Yeah. Okay. Last thing I want to ask you is about, we have not talked about this, but the 49ers scammer guy.
81:16wearing the 49ers helmets and scamming women on Instagram by pretending he was a player and being, and then taking, how is he scamming women?
81:22What, like, what are they doing? He was having relationships with them.
81:25No, but I know it was scamming them out of money.
81:28No, I know, but he was in relationships with them too.
81:31He was pretending. That I, yeah, I get that.
81:34He was pretending he was an NFL player and he curated his Instagram to just be like, pretend he was basically a receiver of the 49ers.
81:41Why are women, why would women pay who they, what they think is an NFL player?
81:45So he has all the accoutrement. He has the cars, he has the jewelry, he has the lifestyle, the apartment.
81:50He was saying, it was like, it was like a, he was convincing him.
81:54He was convincing them. He had these great investment opportunities.
81:57He had a financial advisor. That was his co-conspirator who I think was 14 years old.
82:0118 years old now. It was. Yeah. And he's like, Hey, I'm an NFL player.
82:05I have like business connections. Like it's like Bernie Madoff.
82:08It's like, there's a new energy drink thing. You want to get into that with me?
82:12And I was like, sure. And he's like, Oh yeah, we're doing this series B.
82:16Like you can get in early in the ground floor.
82:19And they're like, give us 10 grand. Like in five years, it'll be worth like a million dollars.
82:24And then they just like ghost the woman, take the 10 grand.
82:27And they did that over and over and over again.
82:29I couldn't believe how bad his tape looked. To be honest, I'm like running around on the beach.
82:34If you're going to do it, do it. Like the editing didn't even look good.
82:38Like you can, there's movie magic to make yourself look better.
82:41He looks slow as hell. He was like doing drills.
82:44The guy's tossing him a football. It looked so, maybe, maybe people, maybe the women, if they weren't fans of the NFL,
82:50maybe like just, they didn't know any better. But yeah, if you don't watch the sport, maybe you could just like look up the roster.
82:56I thought he looked like shit. Can I go the other way?
83:00I think everyone has said that where they're like, he's the roads look terrible.
83:03It's actually the opposite, Craig. If you saw him on the beach, he did look terrible.
83:08If you saw him on the beach, you'd be like, that's a nut receiver for the 49ers.
83:12I think it was a really, really elaborate, good scam.
83:15And I don't think if, if you saw that dude running routes on the beach.
83:19And I, I'm me. And you're just at the beach and that guy's running routes.
83:23Oh, I totally disagree. In the helmet. And you would not, you would never have turned to like, he's lying.
83:28You would have been like, he's an NFL receiver.
83:31I probably wouldn't have said he's lying because I don't, it's so rare to see a man in a fucking 49ers uniform working out on the beach.
83:38I get why these women were scammed. It was very elaborate.
83:41Craig was the first person to call the Brees Hall thing.
83:44So I believe Craig. That's right. No, well, I'm just like me.
83:47I know. That was the one time we had like a actually heated argument about something.
83:51Me knowing, and you were right. I'm like, this guy looks fucking, he looked, he looks like the worst NFL player in the league.
83:58When I watch him on a video, he went undrafted.
84:00How big is it? By his own admission of his fake scam.
84:04I thought it looked bad to somebody who doesn't watch football.
84:07I get it. Sure. Of course, you know, you're running on sand.
84:10I don't know what Justin Jefferson looks like running on sand.
84:13There was shit of him on grass. Yeah. The grass is bad.
84:16The grass is terrible. It was like the Xavier worthy clip from this summer.
84:20I don't know why it wasn't better. Like he should have been, I feel like there are ways to look more authentic.
84:26Like, yeah. He was doing, it was, he was doing great, man.
84:29No. What's his name? Dajon Love? A lot of people were throwing out the joke the other day that Dajon Love got, he got released.
84:36He didn't make the final 53 on some teams.
84:38So here's my question for you guys. How many other dudes are doing this that are just like absolutely like puckered up right now?
84:44How many people, because they, this fucking guy's bringing the heat on us.
84:48How many people been doing this? One time I was at a college party at UC Davis and me and my buddy
84:54told people we were on the baseball team at Duke.
84:56That's actually the best thing is like when you just can make up some backstory at some random party.
85:01Nobody questioned it. It was great. And they gave me, but that's nice.
85:05That's fun. And innocent. Yeah. You didn't, you didn't, you didn't commit wire fraud.
85:09I was like, buddy, I go to Duke. You're going to want to give me your money.
85:13And then you're like, I bought the Lakers. I'm just borrowing it.
85:16Um, but yeah, it did play. That's pretty funny.
85:19Baseball is also the perfect. I'm like, yeah, sure.
85:21You get away with that. Then you can act, you can be a dirt bag too.
85:26It all fits. Yeah. I got several people that texted me after that whole show when you guys were like appalled that
85:31I thought baseball players were dirt bags and they were like, you're right.
85:35That is, we actually did get a lot of people.
85:38You're like, you're absolutely right. Baseball players are factually dirt bags.
85:41Okay. We also did the ringer fantasy football league draft on Friday.
85:44We're going to go over that on tomorrow's episode.
85:46I know a lot of you probably want to hear our thoughts.
85:49Everyone's happy with it. Everyone had a great time.
85:52Everyone involved was just really wire to wire thrilled with how that went.
85:55So, uh, we're going to go over that on tomorrow's episode, but for right now we're going to get out.
86:01We're just trying to have fun. Thank you to everyone in the league.
86:04How dare you try to have fun. Thank you to DK.
86:07Thank you to Craig. Thank you to Cam and Austin and Nikhil and Abu.
86:11And thank you to everyone here helping us make these for this two week trip in LA.
86:15Carlos, Chris, CT. I don't know if I'm forgetting anybody, but yes.
86:19But most of all, thank you, Lord. Lord. Thank you to everybody who came out to the Fonda.
86:23Oh, hell yeah. For our live show on Thursday night.
86:26It was a blast. We had a great time.
86:28And we did a little segment that actually is not in the Spotify version because we couldn't license it.
86:34We would have gotten sued. Craig got to play music on stage.
86:37Yes. We did millennial bangers in person live and we had the audience kind of vote on what the next millennial banger should be in the playlist.
86:44So I played, we had people write in submissions.
86:46We picked a top five and we played the top five out loud at the, at the Fonda.
86:51It was great. The fucking speakers were blapping. It was wonderful.
86:54Blapping. Blappers. You know, blappers. Yeah. Shouts out Michael Leinbach.
86:57What the fuck was that? I don't know either.
86:59Um, and so the song that won was an iconic millennial banger.
87:02It is paper planes by MIA. Such a good song.
87:05Amazing choice by the audience. I also inducted a couple more that I feel like that was in, that was a part
87:11of the show that I think need to be there.
87:14Tik TOK by Kesha. Yeah. Dynamite by Tao Cruz and replay by IAZ.
87:17So, so those have all made it, but I do think it's August 31st.
87:21Millennial banger summer's over. Damn it. But, but I think it's time we, we, there's one final banger that, that, that sits above them all.
87:28And it is. Imagine if I was just like bad day by Daniel Powder.
87:31No, it is levels by Avicii. Oh, of course.
87:34There's the all time millennial banger. The patron saint of millennial banger.
87:37Yes. The song that I will, that I will play at my funeral.
87:41Well, you're not going to play it. I don't, I will.
87:43From the grave. If he cues it. Him and Avicii up in heaven, like happy Gilmore.
87:48The cue of life. I will. It's the greatest millennial banger of all time.
87:51I mean, it didn't have a place in my heart as much as it does for you guys, but it does now.
87:57For our generation. Sure. My micro generation. Your guys' specific generation, I can totally buy it.
88:02And also, I've adopted it. I love it now because you guys love it so much.
88:06Also, we play it before every single live show that we've ever had.
88:09It's like one of the main songs we play.
88:12And so it reminds me of all that. So, love that.
88:15Millennial banger summer. We got to think about what to do next.
88:18Email us with ideas for us. September. We got to forget September.
88:21We're circling eight, eight ridiculous 80s song. yeah. Say less.
