Ashton Jeanty

NegativeInjury0:18

Ashton Jeanty is on the do-not-draft list due to injury concerns; the source notes uncertainty about his current injury status and suggests Josh Jacobs has more upside than Jeanty at similar draft positions.

Insight page
NegativeInjury40:15

Ashton Jeanty's status is a mystery; reported as a low ankle sprain but Clint Kubiak has not officially confirmed the exact nature of the injury. The source would not take him in round two, preferring to wait until round three. He is currently RB 10 in ADP and slipping based on average draft position.

Insight page
NegativeInjury40:34

Ashton Jeanty suffered a low ankle sprain with unclear timeline; NFL insiders have provided no information on week one availability, creating significant uncertainty around his draft status.

Insight page
NegativeBust40:48

The source recommends avoiding Ashton Jeanty in the draft due to injury uncertainty, poor Raiders projected win totals, one of the worst running back schedules, and potential goal line touch loss to Tyler Algier; source explicitly states 'I'm just out on all these running backs' including Jeanty.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeBust25:39

RB19 at 39th overall ADP (beginning of round 4) is not early enough to avoid; source prefers waiting to back of round 4. Jets want to use three running backs per coaching staff; Frank Reich's 10-year track record as play caller is poor for RB production (only 4 instances of 13+ PPR points, 3 of 15+, once truly elite with Jonathan Taylor). Jets have been bottom-five in points scored six of last seven seasons. Last year Hall had workhorse role (17+ touches per game, 13 PPR points per game) but half the season was a disaster; only 5 total touchdowns vs. 9 two years ago and 8 the year after despite awful offense. Source does not want people reaching in round 3.

Insight page
PositiveProjection27:32

Source ranks Hall at 38th overall, higher than consensus RB19. Since 2022, only three RBs have seen 200+ targets and averaged 6.5+ yards per target: Bijon Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, and Hall—demonstrating elite pass-catching production. Offensive coordinator recently called Hall a bell cow. Source projects touchdown bounce-back (5 last year vs. 9 two years ago, 8 the year after) and touch-shape improvement with Braylon Allen healthy, which would shift Hall to more passing-down work. Would not be surprised if Hall finishes as top-12 RB. Early schedule is favorable for Jets.

Insight page
NegativeValue42:14

At RB19 (39th overall ADP, beginning of round four), Breece Hall's draft price is still too early for the source's preference. The source would rather wait until the back part of round four to target Hall, indicating concern about his current valuation. While the source notes Hall's ADP has fallen slightly, it remains higher than desired.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection19:36

In non-PPR and half-PPR scoring formats, the source would prefer Brock Bowers over Trey McBride at tight end. The source states, 'Half PPR, non-PPR. I'll drink the Kool-Aid on Brock Bowers,' indicating stronger conviction in Bowers' fantasy value in scoring systems that don't reward receptions as heavily.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeValue38:56

Going as QB8 at 75.1 overall ADP, Caleb Williams is overpriced relative to alternatives. The source prefers Brock Purdy, Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence, and Jared Goff, all of whom project to score similar fantasy points but go significantly later in drafts (90-100 range). While Williams has exciting upside, there are too many quarterbacks with comparable projections available at better value. The source's strategy is to wait on quarterback and target steals like Josh Allen in round three, Lamar Jackson in round five, Drake May or Joe Burrow in round six rather than reach for Williams at his current ADP.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue42:30

Chase Brown in round two represents great value; source explicitly states 'chase Brown in round two, great value' when discussing stacking the Bengals offense with Joe Burrow in round one.

Insight page
PositiveValue43:30

In a 12-team PPR keeper league with three keeper slots, the source selects Chase Brown in the fourth round as a keeper, indicating strong confidence in his value at that cost relative to other available options (Colston Loveland in sixth, Rashi Rice in tenth, McBride in twelfth, Fannin in fifteenth, Coker in fifteenth).

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveRole9:14

Source observed Buccaneers practice and noted Godwin looked like the Godwin of old, lining up in the slot frequently and being on the same page with Baker Mayfield on multiple plays. Source indicates Godwin has a locked-in role and the Buccaneers know what they have in him, suggesting he will maintain consistent usage.

Insight page
PositiveProjection10:00

Source projects Chris Godwin could exceed seven targets per game this season, with red zone and touchdown opportunities now available following Mike Evans' departure. Evans previously averaged nine targets per game, leaving room for both Godwin and Emeka Buka to increase target volume.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeBust35:01

The source expresses concern about Christian McCaffrey's durability and workload despite his RB4 ranking at 7th overall ADP. McCaffrey missed significant training camp time due to an injury/rest situation; the source notes a pattern where in the two prior seasons he had 400+ touches, he missed time the following year (max 4 games played). At age 30, the source is nervous about taking him in the middle of round one, though acknowledges his league-winner upside if healthy. The 49ers have added receiving weapons (Mike Evans, George Kittle, Dejon Stribbling, Kalon Black, Jordan James) to reduce his workload.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveValue4:48

Hubbard is available late in drafts due to hamstring injury concerns and lack of practice, which encourages the source to take him and play the long game; while Jonathan Brooks may be the better back if both stay healthy, Hubbard can handle passing downs and may be better suited for the goal line; the coaching staff likes him a lot.

Insight page
NegativeRole5:29

Hubbard is competing with Jonathan Brooks for carries in Carolina; the coaching staff likes him, but Brooks is expected to be the primary back if both stay healthy. The source ranks Hubbard one spot behind Rashad White and plans to take him in round 10.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveValue18:18

The source prefers Colston Loveland over Trey McBride at current ADP because Loveland is being drafted later. This represents a value advantage for Loveland in the tight end market.

Insight page
NegativeValue18:22

In a 12-team PPR keeper league with three keeper slots, Colston Loveland is available as a keeper option in the sixth round but is not selected by the source, who instead chooses Chase Brown (fourth), Rashi Rice (tenth), and Trey McBride (twelfth), suggesting Loveland's sixth-round cost is less attractive than the alternatives.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveValue4:01

Swift has been upgraded due to Kyle Mononga's knee injury absence in camp, which highlights his contingent upside; Swift is being drafted around RB 18-20, which is likely where he finishes if Mononga stays healthy all year, but he has upside if Mononga misses time; the source likes him and prefers to draft him early in round four as part of a big tier of running backs at the 3-4 turn.

Insight page
PositiveValue40:59

DeAndre Swift is preferred over Jeremiah Love at similar ADP ranges; source explicitly states 'I'd rather take DeAndre Swift' when discussing Love's round three ADP of 32.8.

Insight page
PositiveValue44:29

In a hero RB build strategy (taking Gibbs first overall), the source expects Swift to potentially fall to the 4-5 turn as a quality RB2 option, suggesting Swift is a target at that draft position.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeRole21:45

Montgomery will share carries more than expected; Woody Marks is expected to handle passing downs, and the Giants backfield includes Najee Harris, Tyrone Tracy, and Devin Singletary; the source sees limited upside at his ADP of 50.7 (RB22), noting he would need to score 10 touchdowns to pay off at current draft cost.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeProjection37:48

The source worries about the Dolphins' offensive environment, citing daily reports from beat writers about poor offensive performance. While Achane will be the focal point and get every touch, the Dolphins' projected win total is 4.5 and the source expects few touchdowns. Achane's production drops 15 points per game when Tua Tagovailoa is not on the field; with Malik Willis starting, the source expects reduced passing game involvement that will hurt overall numbers. The source would not take him until round two, making ADP 11 too high.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveValue44:21

The source reports acquiring George Pickens at the 2-3 turn alongside Gibbs and Bowers in a recent FFT Open draft, indicating confidence in Pickens' value at that draft position as part of a hero RB build strategy.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveSleeper43:40

The source recommends drafting Jalen Coker late in the draft, stating 'I like drafting one of those guys late if I can' and noting 'Coker makes more sense to go first' when choosing between Coker and Kayshawn Booty, indicating Coker is a preferred late-round target.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

NegativeRole10:00

Source mentions Jalen McMillan should also be a factor in the Buccaneers offense alongside Emeka Buka and Chris Godwin, with red zone and touchdown opportunities available following Mike Evans' departure.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

NegativeValue0:43

Javante Williams is compared unfavorably to Josh Jacobs; the source indicates Jacobs has more upside than Williams at similar draft positions.

Insight page
PositiveValue41:03

Javante Williams should now be drafted ahead of Jeremiah Love due to Love's injury uncertainty; source groups Williams with Josh Jacobs and others as preferable alternatives to Love.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury0:22

Jeremiah Love is on the do-not-draft list with injury concerns; the source expresses uncertainty about his current injury status and indicates Josh Jacobs has more upside than Love at similar draft positions.

Insight page
NegativeRole19:00

Jeremiah Love is noted as being banged up heading into the 2025 season, which limits his immediate impact on the Cardinals' running game. The source questions how much more effective the Cardinals will be running the ball with Love in the lineup, suggesting his injury status will prevent a significant improvement in the team's rushing attack. Despite Love being an awesome talent, the source expects the Cardinals will still need to throw a lot because their defense isn't significantly better and their offensive line isn't great.

Insight page
NegativeInjury40:49

Jeremiah Love's return timeline remains uncertain despite recent video evidence of him walking and carrying pizza boxes; source indicates he is getting closer to a return but the timeline is still unclear.

Insight page
NegativeBust40:59

Jeremiah Love's ADP of 32.8 (early round three) is too aggressive given injury uncertainty; source prefers waiting until round four and targeting alternatives like Travis Ethan, DeAndre Swift, Javante Williams, and Josh Jacobs instead; Love faces one of the worst running back schedules and will lose goal line touches to Tyler Algier.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeRole4:48

Brooks is competing with Chuba Hubbard in the Panthers backfield; he hasn't played much in two years in the NFL and has shown only a couple of moments in preseason; if both Brooks and Hubbard stay healthy all season, Brooks should be the preferred fantasy option and get more touches, but the source doesn't want to reach for him given the uncertainty.

Insight page
PositiveRole5:34

Brooks is expected to be the lead back in Carolina if both he and Chuba Hubbard stay healthy; he should get more touches and be better than Hubbard, similar to how Rico Dowdle emerged last year. The source ranks Brooks ahead of Ja'Kory Kroski Merritt and plans to take him in round seven.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveValue35:01

The source advises against drafting Josh Allen in round two, citing that the gap between him and other quarterbacks is not significant enough to justify an early pick. Round three is identified as the right time to target him, with round four being acceptable if available that late.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeValue0:30

Josh Jacobs is available in round three and represents strong fantasy value despite groin injury and potential suspension risk; the source believes he is capable of being one of the best running backs in fantasy football and has more upside than Ashton Jeanty, Javante Williams, Kyron Williams, and Jeremiah Love at similar draft positions. The source notes the league may not issue a suspension given proximity to season start.

Insight page
PositiveValue2:43

Jacobs has more upside than Javante Williams, Kyron Williams, and Jeremiah Love in the Raiders backfield; the source prefers Jacobs over these competing options due to uncertainty around Love's injury status.

Insight page
PositiveValue41:03

Josh Jacobs should now be drafted ahead of Jeremiah Love due to Love's injury uncertainty; source groups Jacobs with Javante Williams and others as preferable alternatives to Love.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeInjury0:18

Kenneth Walker is listed among running backs on the do-not-draft list dealing with injuries; the source indicates he is one of several guys they are looking to avoid due to injury concerns.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveProjection19:54

Kyle Pitts has received a significant boost in the source's projections due to the tight end-friendly coaching system. The source references the Stefanski-Petzing system (now in place with the Falcons) as one that heavily utilizes tight ends, particularly in dump-off routes when the quarterback doesn't have time. In the Falcons' first preseason game, the tight end was consistently used in the flat running underneath right behind the blitz, receiving dump-off passes. This coaching tree's specific tendency to target tight ends in these situations suggests Pitts will see increased target volume compared to previous years.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeValue0:43

Kyron Williams is compared unfavorably to Josh Jacobs; the source indicates Jacobs has more upside than Williams at similar draft positions.

Insight page

Luther Burden

NegativeInjury10:21

Source reports Luther Burden returned to practice and is trending in the right direction, expected to be available for week one. Burden was previously injured, which had caused source to avoid drafting him in round three.

Insight page
PositiveValue10:35

Source acquired Luther Burden in round five of a recent draft and is excited about the value, noting he currently has Burden ranked as a high round four wide receiver. Source indicates Burden will likely be the top wide receiver in the round three-four turn, though the turn is more focused on running backs.

Insight page
PositiveProjection10:44

Source is considering swapping Luther Burden ahead of Emeka Buka in rankings, with both positioned as wide receiver 18 and 19. The swap is being reconsidered now that Burden has returned to practice and Buka's injury status is clearer, suggesting Burden may move up in rankings.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeRole38:30

Malik Willis is starting for the Dolphins. The source notes Willis's rushing ability should help Devon Achane remain an efficient rusher despite a subpar offensive line. However, Willis is the worst quarterback in the last two years in terms of target rate to running backs, though the source believes this is changing through practice and coaching emphasis. Willis was observed throwing to his running back multiple times in practice, suggesting improved passing game involvement with running backs.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeRole0:52

Marshawn Lloyd is mentioned as a potential draft target; the source asks if he is being targeted in drafts, suggesting he may be a consideration in the running back pool.

Insight page
NegativeRole2:52

Lloyd is a handcuff option whose value depends on league depth; in deeper leagues with limited bench spots and waiver wire replacement options, targeting Lloyd as a handcuff to an uncertain starter becomes more important; in shallower leagues with more bench flexibility, the handcuff is less critical.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveRole18:18

Marvin Harrison Jr.'s return to full health after missing time last year will reduce Trey McBride's red-zone touchdown opportunities. The source notes that McBride's big breakout, especially in touchdowns, was partly driven by Harrison Jr.'s injury last year, implying that with Harrison healthy, McBride will see fewer scoring opportunities.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveRole18:18

Michael Wilson's emergence in the Arizona passing game is cited as a factor that will reduce Trey McBride's target share in 2025. The source notes that Wilson's increased role will compete for targets that previously went to McBride.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury22:22

Evans faces significant health concerns at age with a pattern of soft tissue injuries over the last two years (quad, groin); the source expects Evans to score in most games he plays but projects he will miss games, estimating he plays no more than 12-13 games this season; he's going as WR27 at ADP 66.5.

Insight page
NegativeBust37:30

At 33 years old with a pattern of soft tissue injuries (quad, groin) that recur during practice, Evans is unlikely to play more than 12-13 games despite likely scoring touchdowns in most games he does play. In the Shanahan offense with Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle healthy, the offense does not typically feature a number one wide receiver with high target volume. While Evans has six seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards and 10+ touchdowns, the source views his injury durability as a major concern for 2026 draft value.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveValue40:40

Mike Washington should be targeted as early as round seven, eight, or nine as a handcuff/backup option to Ashton Jeanty; source suggests aggressive drafting depending on league strategy.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeInjury7:48

Nakua has missed significant time with a groin injury and may be facing a possible suspension. Despite these concerns, the source has not downgraded him from his fourth-ranked position among wide receivers, behind Chase, JSN, and St. Brown, but would need more information to move him behind CeeDee Lamb, Drake London, or Jefferson.

Insight page
PositiveProjection8:11

Ranked fourth among wide receivers; source maintains this ranking despite not yet downgrading him, noting it would take significant movement to drop him behind CeeDee Lamb, Drake London, Jefferson, or Devontae Adams. Source indicates Nakua has had a very good camp.

Insight page
NegativeProjection8:28

Source identifies Nakua as the most obvious touchdown regression candidate at wide receiver, suggesting his touchdown production is unsustainably high and likely to decline.

Insight page
NegativeValue43:00

Puka Nakua is preferred over Gentie in a keeper league trade scenario; source states 'I think I'd rather have Puka' rather than trading Nakua for Gentie and moving up a round, citing Gentie's injury as a concern.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveProjection17:14

Sam Laporta has received a significant boost in the source's projections due to the tight end-friendly coaching system he inherited from Arizona. The source has given Laporta a boost because of the tight end-friendly head coach, indicating improved offensive role and target opportunity in his new situation.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveSleeper8:28

Source identifies Ferguson as a potential late-round target at tight end, noting he's likely to be featured in 13 personnel and could be awesome if Puka Nakua misses time. Ferguson is positioned as the tight end the Chargers are seemingly moving toward this year, replacing Colby Parkinson's role from last season. Recommended as a good late-round target if taking two tight ends.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

NegativeInjury0:22

Trevion Henderson is listed among running backs on the do-not-draft list dealing with injuries; the source indicates he is one of several guys they are looking to avoid.

Insight page
NegativeBust28:06

RB26 at 66th overall is too soon. Last year all three analysts were excited about Henderson based on positive New England reports; source was taking him in round 3, another in round 4. This year's enthusiasm has evaporated, yet Ramondre Stevenson is going only three RB spots later (69th overall), 13 picks later than Henderson's ADP despite Henderson's prior hype.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeValue15:40

In a 12-team half-PPR league with a hero RB build strategy (taking Gibbs first overall), the source advises against pairing McBride with Bowers at the 2-3 turn. The source prefers Bowers over McBride in half-PPR formats, indicating McBride is less efficient in PPR-lite scoring and represents poor value at that draft position.

Insight page
NegativeBust15:40

Trey McBride is included in the source's 'Do Not Draft List' of 15 players to avoid; he is explicitly mentioned in the episode title as one of the key players to avoid in fantasy drafts.

Insight page
PositiveProjection17:25

McBride's target share and touchdown production are expected to regress significantly in 2025. Drew Petzing, his offensive coordinator for the last three seasons, will no longer be with Arizona; the source has reduced McBride's target share projection due to this coaching change. McBride ran two full games more routes than any other tight end last year because Arizona was frequently down two scores in the second half, inflating his volume. The source expects regression in total pass attempts league-wide and notes the emergence of Michael Wilson in the passing game. Additionally, Marvin Harrison Jr.'s return to health (he was injured last year during McBride's touchdown surge) will reduce red-zone opportunities. Last year McBride posted 10.6 targets per game, 21.1 PPR points per game, and 10 total touchdowns; the source believes he will not come close to those numbers in 2025, though still projects him as the number one tight end in full PPR leagues.

Insight page
NegativeValue18:18

The source would prefer to draft Colston Loveland over Trey McBride at current ADP. McBride is being drafted earlier than Loveland, and the source states he would only take McBride if he was going 10 picks later than his current draft position. This represents a significant value concern relative to McBride's current market price.

Insight page
PositiveRole20:10

McBride's target volume may be reduced as Jeremiah Love is expected to receive dump-off targets that previously went to the tight end; the source notes most teams don't feature tight end dump-offs like the Cardinals' coaching tree does, suggesting McBride's PPR value from last year may not repeat.

Insight page
NegativeBust43:33

The source explicitly states 'I just said I wouldn't draft Trey McBride' in the context of a 12-team PPR league with three keepers, indicating a clear avoidance stance on McBride at standard draft prices. However, the source would keep him for a twelfth-round cost, suggesting the issue is ADP/value rather than talent; McBride is overpriced relative to his expected production.

0:00Creatine is easily one of the most researched supplements on the planet, but I hit a point where I realized just trusting a pretty label wasn't enough.
0:07I needed actual verification. That's why I made the switch to Momentus Signature Spec Creatine.
0:11Instead of chasing flavor trends, Momentus set a brand new benchmark by producing their creatine in a pharmaceutical facility with reverse osmosis water purification.
0:18It undergoes a rigorous six-stage testing process with four independent agencies, guaranteeing 10 times fewer impurities, tighter heavy metal limits, and tests for microplastics and purification.
0:24For my own routine, having that level of purity is non-negotiable.
0:27And the fact that it's an ultra-fine powder that mixes seamlessly with no clumping makes it effortless to take every day for power, recovery, and brain health.
0:35If you want to try Momentus Signature Spec Creatine, head to livemomentus.com and use code FFT for up to 35% off your entire first order.
0:41That's livemomentus.com, promo code FFT for up to 35% off.
0:44Livemomentus.com, promo code FFT. And I'll be right back to you if you're going to avoid them like we are.
0:49But before we get to that, we want to talk about some players that are dealing with injuries because, again, very popular weekend for drafts coming up.
0:56You might be doing a draft now as you're watching us.
0:59You want to know about certain players that are dealing with injuries and just what our comfort level is and where we're
1:05looking to draft some of these guys. So, guys, let's start with the running backs because we're dealing with several different moving parts.
1:11Some guys are coming back to practice. Some guys are still dealing with injuries that are going to be out for a few more weeks.
1:18Excuse me. You see the list here. Ashton Jeanty, Kenneth Walker, Josh Jacobs, Brees Hall.
1:22We're going to talk about Gentty, Jeremiah Love, Brees Hall a little bit later, Trevion Henderson.
1:26Some of the injuries they're dealing with. These are some guys that we're looking to avoid.
1:30But, Dave, when we see Josh Jacobs on this list, back at practice, has dealt with this groin injury.
1:36But, as we found out from their general manager yesterday, they are potentially preparing to miss some time for him to miss
1:41some time due to a potential suspension. So how are we approaching Josh Jacobs?
1:45When are you drafting him? Who are some guys that you're maybe looking to compare him to when we get to that spot in the draft?
1:52Well, just to be clear, they said that they have contingency plans just, and the quote is, in case there's a suspension for Josh Jacobs.
1:59The fact that there hasn't been one so far tells me that the league may not be keen on giving him one.
2:05We're really close to the start of the season.
2:07It would almost be unfair for them to do such a thing.
2:10That being said, we know that Josh Jacobs is capable of being one of the best running backs in fantasy football.
2:16And you don't have to draft him that way.
2:18You can get him in round three at this point.
2:21I think that that's the time to go and get Josh Jacobs.
2:24There is a little bit of risk because you never know what could happen, the groin injury, the suspension, whatever.
2:29But I do think that there is a chance for him to actually end up being a very good fantasy value if
2:35you're getting him in that early round three range.
2:37For me, he's ahead of Ash and Gentty because we're really not sure where he is at with that injury.
2:43Javante Williams and Kyron Williams, I think Jacobs has more upside.
2:46Same thing with Jeremiah Love. Don't know where he's at with his injury.
2:49I think Jacobs has a little bit more upside.
2:52Heath, have you drafted Jacobs? Are you drafting Marshawn Lloyd?
2:54Is that something that you're targeting? I would like to.
2:57I'm probably not going to force it depending on the depth of the league.
3:01We were just talking about this situation before, but I think those handcuff situations with the guys that are really uncertain right now.
3:07If you're in a deeper league where it's going to be harder to have three starting running backs or harder to replace
3:13them on the waiver wire, then it's more important to me to go get Marshawn Lloyd.
3:17If it's a league where you only have four or five bench spots and you're only starting one flex, then I'm probably not quite as worried about it.
3:24It's good that we all got the memo, by the way, to wear black today, so we're all in agreement.
3:30It's a bust episode. That's true. We don't use the word bust.
3:33Do not draft. Do not draft. Do not draft.
3:35Why are we using the word bust? Let's talk about the Bears running backs because we want to be negative.
3:41Let's talk about the Bears running backs. Do not draft is positive?
3:44Well, you're going to draft them still. We'll get into that when we get to that part.
3:48Let's talk about the Bears running backs because Kyle Mononga is still dealing with this knee injury, Heath.
3:53How do you view Mononga? How do you view DeAndre Swift?
3:56How much has Swift benefited because of Mononga's absence in camp?
3:59Well, I think Swift's benefited for a couple of reasons.
4:02One is Mononga's absence in camp, and it just kind of highlights the contingent upside that he has because he's being drafted
4:07right around RB 18 to 20, which is probably where he's going to finish if Kyle Mononga is healthy all year.
4:13So you're kind of drafting him where he's going to finish, but he has that upside if Mononga misses time.
4:18The other reason he's been upgraded was a lot of the names that Dave just said, a lot of the names we're
4:24talking about right now, have fallen below him. So I like him.
4:27There's a big tier of running backs that I have at the 3-4 turn.
4:31He's in that tier. I'd prefer to draft him early in round four.
4:35All right, so we'll see how this goes with Mononga.
4:37I expect it to be ready for week one, but really helping the situation for DeAndre Swift.
4:42What's also helping the situation in Carolina for Jonathan Brooks is Chuba Hubbard dealing with his injury as well, battling a hamstring problem.
4:48So Dave Canales kind of gave us this, you know, landscape of what it would look like when both guys are healthy.
4:54How are you viewing the Panthers backfield? I don't really want to reach for either guy.
4:58And the fact that we can get Chuba Hubbard pretty late right now in drafts because he hasn't been practicing and people
5:04are worried about this injury, it actually encourages me to take him and play the long game with Chuba Hubbard.
5:09And I'm not saying that Chuba Hubbard is a better running back than Jonathan Brooks, but I can't say that he's not either.
5:15We haven't seen Jonathan Brooks play much in two years in the NFL.
5:19And so far this preseason, he's had a couple of moments.
5:22He's looked all right, but I still view Chuba Hubbard as somebody who can handle passing downs, might be better suited for the goal line than Jonathan Brooks.
5:29Maybe they want to keep Chuba Hubbard in there.
5:31And I know the coaching staff likes him a lot.
5:34If they both are there week one and they stay healthy all season long, Brooks is the one you're going to want to have on your fancy team.
5:42He should be better. He should get more touches, kind of like how Rico Dowdle did last year.
5:46But it's not like Rico Dowdle finished there. He had his moments, but he didn't finish here as one of the great running backs of fantasy football.
5:54Yeah, hopefully they'll get their tackle situation straightened out because both left tackle and right tackle dealing with injuries.
5:59So that would certainly help things. But this is going to be a team that we know is going to try and run the ball.
6:05So hopefully one of these two guys stands out.
6:08Heath, we got both commanders running backs battling injuries right now.
6:11Ja'Kory Kroski merits something's going on with his lower body.
6:13Not expected to be serious. Rashad White's got this hamstring injury that's kept him out for about a week.
6:18How do you view those two guys going into the season?
6:21Almost exactly the same way that I view Jonathan Brooks and Chuba Hubbard.
6:25I think the roles might be pretty similar. There may be a little more pass catching for Jonathan Brooks.
6:30And we may be a little more certain that Bill Ja'Kory Kroski merit is a good NFL rusher because he did lead
6:36the NFL in success rate last year. But I have Brooks one spot ahead of Ja'Kory Kroski merit.
6:40I'm taking both of those guys in round seven.
6:43I have White one spot ahead of Chuba Hubbard.
6:45I'm taking both of those guys in round 10.
6:48Yeah, it makes sense if you're just looking at it from who's going to do what roles.
6:52I just wonder with the commander situation that Rashad White can probably do everything.
6:56Yeah. I don't think Ja'Kory Kroski merit. They want him to do everything.
6:59Well, I think that's kind of with Chuba too, though.
7:02Like, we've seen him be a workhorse running back in the past.
7:05Like, he could do everything. Right. All four of these guys, if one guy gets hurt, I think could really crush their value.
7:11And Washington's another team with offensive line issues. In fact, they're worse there than they are in Carolina.
7:16We're hoping that the tackles for the Panthers come back.
7:19There's not going to be a return of Laramie Tunsil at left tackle for Washington.
7:23And their center is also banged up. Yeah, not ideal.
7:25And they were really struggling in their joint practice with the Ravens this week.
7:29Let's look at the wide receivers here. We'll go a little faster on some of these guys here.
7:34So we'll show you the list of the players that are battling injuries here.
7:38It starts with Puka Nakua, goes down through Xavier Worthy there.
7:40We'll get to a couple of these guys when we talk about our do not draft list as well.
7:46Mike Evans and DK Metcalf are on those lists.
7:48But Heath, when you look at the situation with the Rams, Pukunakua has now missed significant time with a groin injury.
7:54Another player who may be facing a possible suspension.
7:56What does his injury status do for him? Because he's going to be considered one of the top five or six overall players.
8:02Have you downgraded him at all? And then if he does miss any time, what does that do for Devontae Adams?
8:08Yeah, I haven't downgraded him yet, but I did have him fourth.
8:11We've got that group of round one wide receivers, Chase, JSN, St.
8:14Brown, and Puka. He's been fourth for me. He's still fourth for me.
8:17It would take something more for me to move him behind CeeDee Lamb, Drake London, Jefferson, that group.
8:22Devontae Adams would make us all look foolish for drafting him so late if Pukunakua misses time.
8:27It sounds like he's had a very good camp.
8:29I think he's the most obvious touchdown regression candidate at wide receiver.
8:32But the one that people may not be thinking about is if Pukunakua does miss time, Terrence Ferguson's going to pay off
8:38for a lot of people that I think have maybe been overdrafting him if everybody's healthy.
8:42If one of these guys is not healthy, Ferguson could be awesome.
8:46We know they're going to be in a lot of 13 personnel.
8:49We know that he's going to be probably the tight end that they feature.
8:53Last year it was Colby Parkinson. This year they're seemingly going toward Ferguson, so a good late-round target if you are taking two tight ends.
8:59Dave, I know you've been very excited about Emeka Buka.
9:02We're all looking forward to seeing what he could do without Mike Evans there, but still battling this toe injury.
9:07Similar situation. How do you view Abuka? And then what does this do for Chris Godwin?
9:11I saw the Buccaneers practice against the Jaguars earlier this week, and there doesn't seem to be much pessimism about Abuka's availability
9:17for week one, but there is a little bit of cold water being thrown on him making that huge leap.
9:23The leap that I was kind of hoping that he would take this year and maybe be the 2026 version of Jackson Smith and Jigba.
9:29He should be ready to go week one. I'm drafting him like he can finish the year as a quality number two
9:35wide receiver, but after watching the Bucs practice, I really liked what I saw from Chris Godwin.
9:40Looked like the Godwin of old, lined up in the slot a lot, was on the same page with Baker Mayfield on a number of plays.
9:47He didn't get the same type of target volume in practice as Ted Hurst and Tez Johnson did, and I think that's
9:52because the Bucs are trying to get those young guys acclimated.
9:55They know what they've got in Chris Godwin, and that's a role that he's got locked into.
10:00I wouldn't be surprised if this year ended and Abuka and Godwin were both north of seven targets per game.
10:05Would be awesome. Mike Evans basically averaged nine targets per game, so there is some opportunities to go around for both of those receivers.
10:12Not to mention Evans dominating touchdowns, red zone looks.
10:14That's open now. That's right into Abuka and Godwin's hands.
10:17And Jalen McMillan should also be a factor too, so we'll see what happens there.
10:21Heath, you said a few weeks ago that Luther Burden's injury saved you from taking him in round three.
10:26Well, he returned to practice yesterday, so trending in the right direction.
10:29Should be available for week one. Are you back in Luther Burden round three, or are you just buying the dip and taking him?
10:35In this case, it was early round five. Did I tell you guys that I got Luther Burden in round five last night?
10:41I think I told everybody 17 times. I was so excited.
10:44I've got him right in the middle of round four right now.
10:48It's funny. The guy that I have ahead of him is Abuka, and one of the reasons I had Abuka ahead of
10:53him was because Burden was hurt and Abuka wasn't.
10:56Now it's kind of flipped, and I was just kind of looking at this.
10:59That's my wide receiver 18 and 19. I may swap that back and put Burden ahead of Abuka.
11:04He'll probably still be a high round four guy.
11:07That round three, four turn is more running backs for me, but Burden will be the top wide receiver in round four.
11:13Yeah, we like that he's trending in the right direction, so view him appropriately now and maybe downgrade Romo Doosie just a
11:18little bit because now Burden back on the field.
11:21Dave, I'm going to give you the entire Colts passing game here because we have exciting.
11:25We're going to transition to tight end, so if you guys want to throw up the tight end list as well.
11:31So we've got Josh Downs now with a calf injury.
11:33Alec Pierce, we got the news today, off the pup list, dealing with that ankle injury.
11:38And then you've got Tyler Warren who's been battling this groin injury.
11:41So how do you view the Colts passing game?
11:43Not great because everybody's banged up. Warren is still the one I want, especially if it's a league.
11:48Well, it really has to be a league where I'm starting a tight end.
11:52If I'm not being forced to start a tight end, then I'm less interested in taking Tyler Warren with a top 50-ish type pick.
11:58But he's the first one that goes off the board.
12:01And right now I have Downs ahead of Alec Pierce.
12:03I've got to still react to the news of Pierce coming back to practice.
12:07And I could see myself making a switch and putting Pierce ahead of Downs because Downs is banged up.
12:12But neither one of these wide receivers I'm excited to draft until round eight.
12:16And if I'm getting that late in a draft, then there's immense value in both of them, particularly in PPR leagues as it applies to Downs.
12:23But we've just got to see him get back on the field.
12:26He dealt with injuries last year, dealing with injuries again now.
12:29At least Pierce is healthy, and we know that his role is going to evolve in Indianapolis.
12:33Should be able to not only be that deep threat that he was last year, but also pick up a bunch of short and intermediate throws too.
12:41I'm really worried about the fact that he's going to try to do something new.
12:45Dave talked about the role evolving and hasn't got to practice at all.
12:48Like all offseason, he's not been healthy enough to do all the stuff.
12:51And now I don't know that he's 100% healthy.
12:54He's off the puff. He's going to, I would assume, be doing individual drills first, and then he's going to try to get through some team drills.
13:01We've seen some videos of him walking around that don't look like a 100% healthy person.
13:05So I'm going to wait to move him up until he gets through a couple of team practices and then is still okay.
13:11But where would you move him up to? He's got two weeks before this.
13:15He's round nine right now. Okay. He might get to the very end of round seven for me.
13:20I don't imagine he'll be a top 80 pick.
13:22Right, but a round eight pick is where I think he lands.
13:26Yeah, I'm just, I think, out altogether. He probably won't get into the single digits for me.
13:30I just don't like what I've seen. I don't like what the expectation is.
13:34You know, you still have Daniel Jones coming off an Achilles injury.
13:37And they were not great together. And Keenan Allen.
13:39The majority of Pierce's... Yeah, we can't forget about Keenan Allen.
13:42We forgot about Keenan Allen. The majority of Pierce's production came without Daniel Jones, which is shocking that he was the one
13:48that was thriving with Phillip Rivers and then at the end with Riley Leonard.
13:52His production, you know, I know you like to do this.
13:55The percentage of his fantasy points was the last six games of the season when Daniel Jones...
13:59It's true. ...was not there. All right, so on top of Tyler Warren battling the groin injury, a couple other tight ends,
14:05three other tight ends that are dealing with injuries.
14:08Some positive, some negative. You got Sam Laporta with a hip injury back at practice.
14:12That's positive. You got Tucker Craft doing the injury.
14:14We just got a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter that Packers are signing Jonu Smith.
14:18So another tight end in the mix there for Green Bay.
14:21And then George Kittle dealing with the Achilles injury.
14:23So of these three tight ends, Heath, which is the one you feel the most confident in based on an injury standpoint?
14:29On the injury standpoint, I'm going to go with Sam Laporta because he did have a back injury through the offseason.
14:35He was cleared from that. When I saw hip, I was worried because hip and back can sometimes go together.
14:40This sounds like it was just he got hit really hard in the hip.
14:44He took a couple weeks off. He was back.
14:46They said it was a very physical practice in his first practice back.
14:50And he was doing 11 on 11 work and was fine.
14:53So Sam Laporta, I'm not that I'm not worried about.
14:55And in the case of Kraft and Kittle, both guys coming back from injuries last year, both have been activated off the
15:01pup list, trending in the right direction. I wouldn't worry too much about Jonu Smith going to Green Bay, impacting Tucker Craft.
15:07Just another pass catcher that they can rely on there in Green Bay if they need it.
15:11Real quick, if you draft George Kittle, do you draft another tight end with him because of the concern that he might miss week one?
15:18I think just given the fact that the games in Australia, still the uncertainty of it, you should absolutely put somebody on your radar like a Terrence Ferguson.
15:26If you want to go with a higher end guy, Mark Andrews.
15:29Dalton Schultz. Dalton Schultz would be great. Jawan Johnson would be great.
15:32You know, if you want one of these veteran guys that can still produce and be heavily involved.
15:37Speaking of tight ends, we're going to take a break right now.
15:40When we come back, we're going to tell you why Heath does not want to draft Trey McBride, one of the guys
15:46that Heath is looking to avoid in drafts this year.
15:48That's next on FFT. Just headed out to a concert at Pier 17.
15:52Howl Mouth. What a show. I got home at 3 a.m.
15:55And I realized 8 a.m. tea time. What am I going to do?
15:58I got a big match. No worries at all.
16:01I took Z-Biotics the night before. Had a few drinks.
16:03Woke up the next day like nothing happened. Got to that course at 7 a.m.
16:07Warmed up and won my match. Z-Biotics pre-alcohol probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic.
16:12It was invented by PhD scientists to break down acetaldehyde, a byproduct of drinking alcohol.
16:16Pre-alcohol produces an enzyme that is designed to break down this byproduct.

16:36Welcome back to Fantasy Football Today. We're talking about players that we're looking to avoid on draft day.
16:41Our final do not draft list or our bust list if you want to frame it that way.
16:45I think just in the case of, for context, you will still take these players if they fall to the appropriate spot.
16:51When we say do not draft, it's do not draft at their cost, at what their average draft is.
16:56100%. So that, I think, is a big part of this conversation.
16:59So let's start. We're going to do Heath's guys.
17:02We're going to do each segment for each of our do not draft list.
17:06So this is Heath gets the spotlight here. Okay.
17:08Your five guys that you're highlighting here for this are Trey McBride, Cam Scadaboo, David Montgomery, Mike Evans, and Caleb Williams.
17:14Trey McBride is still your number one tight end, Dave?
17:16Still my number one tight end in full PPR.
17:19For people that look at it as McBride, as Brock Bowers, they're at the top.
17:23Why is Trey McBride a do not draft player for you?
17:25So I think one of the best compliments that you've ever given me, Jamie, was earlier this year you said, I'm consistent.
17:31And I'm not always consistent, but I try to be consistent.
17:34And I've given a pretty significant boost to both Sam Laporta and Kyle Pitts because of the tight end friendly head coaches
17:40that they inherited from Arizona and from Cleveland. Drew Petsing was Trey McBride's offensive coordinator for the last three seasons.
17:45He will not be this year. I don't think they're going to go away from McBride, but I have taken away from his target share.
17:52I think he probably has some touchdown regression. He ran two full games more routes than any other tight end in football
17:58last year because this was a team that was always down two scores in the second half.
18:02And Trey McBride was out there running routes on every play.
18:05He'll still be running routes on every play. They may still be down a lot.
18:09There's going to be some regression in terms of the number of total pass attempts.
18:13We're going to, we've had now the emergence of Michael Wilson.
18:16There was not a part of Trey McBride's big breakout, especially when it came to touchdowns with when Marvin Harrison Jr.
18:22was hurt last year. And maybe most importantly, I'd just rather draft Colston Loveland and he goes later than Trey McBride.
18:27So if I have to choose between the two, I'm going to take Loveland.
18:31I would take Trey McBride if he was going 10 picks later.
18:34I think every coach that gets their hands on Trey McBride is going to be a tight ends coach because of how
18:40good of a player that he is. Last year with Jacoby Brissett, and I think Brissett is part of the solution here for Trey McBride.
18:4710.6 targets per game, 21.1 PPR points per game, and 10 total touchdowns.
18:50That's amazing. And I don't think he comes close to those numbers this year, but is still the guy to get in
18:56full PPR leagues as the number one tight end.
18:59And I don't think anything's really changed for Arizona.
19:01I don't think their defense is any better. I know Jeremiah Love's there.
19:04He's banged up. How much more effective will they be running the ball?
19:08It'll be a step forward, but it's not going to be a lot better running the ball.
19:12I don't think so. I think they're going to have to throw a lot.
19:16They were so bad last year. And Jeremiah Love is an awesome talent, but he's banged up right now.
19:21That offensive line isn't great. I still think they're going to end up throwing a lot.
19:25So it wouldn't surprise me if this year ends and Trey McBride, I don't know about, what did you say, two games more worth of routes?
19:32Yes. Maybe like three quarters of one game more worth of routes compared to everybody else.
19:37I think this Cardinals team is still going to sling it.
19:40I think McBride's going to lead the team. Targets catches yards and touchdowns.
19:43I think it'll be good enough to be the number one tight end.
19:46But it's only in PPR. Half PPR, non-PPR. I'll drink the Kool-Aid on Brock Bowers.
19:50And I do think that offensive line being bad in the Stefanski-Petzing system, and you noticed this.
19:55We're going to talk about Kyle Pitts a little bit later.
19:58But in the Falcons' first preseason game, when the quarterback doesn't have time, they've always got the tight end out there in the flat.
20:04We're just running underneath right behind the blitz. And we're just going to dump it off to the tight end.
20:10I think a lot of those targets may go to Jeremiah Love in this offense.
20:14And they won't be designed to the tight end.
20:16Because most teams don't have those dump-offs to tight ends.
20:19It's really that specific coaching tree that does. Certainly more than last year.
20:22But don't discount McBride getting a bunch of those types of targets.
20:25And that's what helped him be so great for PPR last year.
20:29Let's talk about the two running backs. We'll sort of combine them together.
20:32Because they do go in a similar range. I know the ADP doesn't necessarily suggest that.
20:36But I think we're going to see them maybe get a little bit closer because of the concern about Cam Scadaboo.
20:42So you've got Cam Scadaboo and David Montgomery. Scadaboo's ADP right now, 34.9.
20:45I think that's the biggest reason why anybody should be a going ahead.
20:49David Montgomery is 50.7. Scadaboo is RB16. And on CBSSports.com, Montgomery is RB22.
20:52What's your concern about both these guys? So, yeah, for Scadaboo, it was, I think, coming into the year, it was the injury.
20:58And we think that's okay. I mean, it was a gruesome injury for both him and Quenshaw Judkins.
21:03But they've done enough in the preseason that we're kind of discounting that now.
21:07I'm kind of starting to wonder if his head coach likes him.
21:10They just brought in Najee Harris. I believe Coach Harbaugh was asked yesterday about Scadaboo's infectious energy.
21:15And he said, yeah, he got a 15-yard penalty in our last play.
21:18He's more of an infectious disease. And it's just not exactly the type.
21:21Scadaboo and Jackson Dart and this whole Giants offense was such a weird thing last year just in the way they had success.
21:28And now you've got Harbaugh and Nagy and Roman.
21:30I think they're looking for a little more professional football.
21:33Najee Harris is that. So I'm worried that Scadaboo is not the full workhorse running back that we need him to be.
21:38And this offense is not very good. David Montgomery, I think he's just going to share more than people think he's going to.
21:45We've heard that a little bit. Woody Marks probably can handle passing downs maybe to have more carries.
21:49I think Montgomery and another guy we're getting ready to talk about are very, very similar in that if he scores 10
21:55touchdowns, he may pay off at his current ADP.
21:58I don't think there's much upside at his ADP.
22:00I'm worried about how many running backs are in that kitchen for the Giants because Najee Harris is probably going to elevate to being the guy behind Scadaboo.
22:07And then they might keep Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary.
22:10That's four running backs that they could use on a week-to-week basis.
22:13People that are drafting Cam Scadaboo based on what he did last year are going to get burned for it.
22:19He's a round five pick and a late round five pick at that.
22:22Mike Evans is still very popular for fantasy managers, going as wide receiver 27 at 66.5 and his overall ADP.
22:27What's the concern level for you? I feel like Chicken Little running around saying the sky is falling, the sky is falling.
22:33But all offseason, I was worried that Mike Evans at his age and has had struggled with soft tissue injuries each of
22:39the last two years, can he stay healthy? I'm not even going to make any substation jokes.
22:44It's just the fact that he's got the injury history, he's got the age concern, and then he can't seem to get
22:50through a week of practice without another soft tissue injury popping up.
22:53He had the quad, he's got the groin now.
22:55I just, I think, I wouldn't be surprised if he scored the touchdown in most of the games that he plays this year.
23:01I would be surprised if he plays more than 12 or 13 games.
23:05And this Shanahan offense has not been one that generally features a number one wide receiver with a lot of targets, especially
23:11if Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle are both healthy.
23:13I think the thing you're hoping for is Juwan Jennings scored nine touchdowns last year.
23:17Can Mike Evans get to that level or better, which he's got six years in his resume with 1,000 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns.
23:23So that's the guy I think a lot of fantasy managers are hoping for.
23:27But 33 years old, like you said, it's been one injury after another.
23:30All right, last guy for you is Caleb Williams going as QB 8, 75.1 overall in the CBS Sports ADP.
23:36And I get it because the fun stuff that he does is really exciting.
23:40And you think if he could just be a normal quarterback the rest of the time, he could be so awesome.
23:45He could be. But there's just too many quarterbacks with a very similar projection.
23:49Everybody that's listened to me talk all summer knows that I prefer Brock Purdy.
23:53I'd rather draft Justin Herbert. I'd rather draft Trevor Lawrence.
23:55I think that there's, I think Jared Goff is very likely to score just as many fantasy points or right in that same range.
24:02And those guys go a lot later. If any of those guys in that group had an ADP at 75, I wouldn't draft them.
24:08Because I can get somebody else at 90 or 100 that I think is going to do pretty much the same thing.
24:14Just repeat your quarterback strategy about waiting. You need to wait and get a steal on draft day.
24:19There's people that are telling you, just wait on quarterback, wait on quarterback.
24:22Well, if you do that and then a quarterback falls to a really good spot in your draft, why would you pass that up?
24:28What if it's Josh Allen in round three? What if it's Lamar Jackson in round five?
24:33Drake May in round six? Joe Burrow in round six?
24:35If you see something like that and you just can't believe it, the steal is sitting there in front of you, take the quarterback.
24:42Don't pass it up. Right. And that could be Williams or it might not be Williams because he's going too soon.
24:47All right. So we'll see where, you know, Caleb Williams ends up in your leagues.
24:51And if you're somebody that's going to pass on him or if you're going to get excited and draft Caleb Williams.
24:57All right. We're going to take a break right now.
25:00We come back. It's Dave's turn to talk about a couple of running backs he's concerned about.
25:04You've heard him say this a lot about Brees Hall.
25:07He'll defend, or maybe not, Brees Hall's draft value for 2026.
25:10That's next on FFT. Welcome to the Brees Hall segment.
25:12This is Fantasy Football Today. I'm Jamie. That's Dave.
25:15That's Heath. And we're talking about Dave's players that he's looking to avoid on draft day, the players he is not planning to draft.
25:21And Brees Hall has been a very fun topic of conversation for these two to debate.
25:25So let's just start right there, Dave. We can show the list of the players that you're looking to avoid.
25:31But really, the headliner is obviously the guy at the top.
25:34So let's talk about Brees Hall. He is RB19 going basically the beginning part of the fourth round, 39th overall.
25:39That's not good enough for you? No, that's not.
25:41I'd still wait a little bit longer. The back part of round four is where I'm going to be on Brees Hall.
25:47But at least I appreciate that his ADP is falling a little bit.
25:51And I don't know if it's because of anything I'm saying.
25:54I think it's because of the groin injury they have and that it's cost them a big chunk of training camp.
25:59But that doesn't help Brees Hall's cause. This is still a Jets team that wants to use three running backs.
26:05The coaches have said as much. Frank Reich is the new play caller there.
26:08I'm not excited about him. His track record with running backs in 10 years as a play caller is terrible.
26:14Four times has a running back had 13 plus PPR points.
26:16Three times with 15 plus. And once has he had a guy that's been awesome.
26:20And that was Jonathan Taylor when he was a younger player in the league.
26:24Brees Hall obviously with the injury. Questions about the offense and how much they're going to score.
26:29They've been bottom five in points scored. Six of the last seven seasons.
26:32Last year he had a workhorse role, Jamie. 17 plus touches per game.
26:3613 PPR points per game. Half his season was a total disaster.
26:39I'm not excited about drafting him. And I don't want people to reach for him in round three when they start to
26:45see those running backs go off the board. I think his ADP is absolutely perfect.
26:49So I've got him a little bit higher amongst the running backs.
26:52I've got him at 38th overall. One of my favorite Brees Hall stats.
26:55There have been three running backs since the start of 2022 that have seen 200 targets and averaged 6.5 yards per target.
27:01Those three running backs are Bijon Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, and Brees Hall.
27:04He's awesome in that role. And the coaches have said I want to use three running backs.
27:09The offensive coordinator also recently just said Brees Hall is a bell cow.
27:12So I do think what really went wrong last year was the shape of those touches.
27:17He had more carries. He had fewer targets. And then he didn't score touchdowns.
27:20He's never really scored rushing touchdowns, but he had nine total touchdowns two years ago when the offense was awful.
27:26He had eight total touchdowns the year after that when the offense was awful.
27:29Only scored five last year. I think the touchdowns bounce back.
27:32The shape of those touches change a little bit with Braylon Allen staying healthy.
27:36So you use him more on the early downs in the trap back role.
27:40Use Brees Hall more on passing downs role. Would not be surprised at all if Brees Hall is a top 12 running back.
27:46I'll add this. I do think the early schedule is favorable for the Jets.
27:50So if you already have Brees Hall on your team and you're a little bit nervous.
27:54No, no, no. I'm just saying. If you've got him and you're a little bit nervous, you can enjoy the first part
28:00of the season and then sell high on Brees Hall when the schedule gets worse.
28:04This guy I think is relatively obvious. Trevion Henderson.
28:06He's going as RB26. 66th overall. That's too soon.
28:08The thing that's crazy to me is that Ramondre Stevenson is going three running back spots later and 13 picks overall later based on his ADP.
28:15Think about where we were last year with Trevion Henderson.
28:18Every report out of New England was positive. And we were all excited.
28:22We, all three of us, were really into Trevion Henderson.
28:24I was taking him in round three. Yeah, yeah.
28:27How stupid I was. You were really into him.
28:29I was taking him around four. Where were you taking Trevion Henderson?
28:32Behind Jamie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So like, Heath obviously is the genius here when it comes to Trevion Henderson.
28:37And then what happened? He really wasn't that great.
28:40And honestly, neither was Ramondre Stevenson until injuries came into play.
28:43When Ramondre Stevenson got hurt in the middle of the year, we saw great numbers from Trevion Henderson.
28:47But otherwise, he wasn't really that great. And Ramondre didn't really step up until the end of the year when they just gave him all the work.
28:55This year, the reports out of training camp are not positive for Trevion Henderson.
28:58He hasn't improved in pass protection. His vision is still a question mark.
29:02Meanwhile, Ramondre Stevenson getting all the reps with the first team offense, having a bigger role in the red zone offense.
29:07I can't believe the words are coming out of my mouth.
29:10But I'd much rather have Ramondre Stevenson than Trevion Henderson.
29:13Henderson's being drafted at least one full round too soon, if not two full rounds.
29:17Don't go after the hype on this second year running back.
29:20Ramondre is the safer pick. I think our podcast host hosts a show during the season on this network on Tuesdays.
29:25Adam Azer says it best. If you want a similar profile of a player, just wait two rounds and take Blake Corum.
29:31Wait and take Kyle Menongai. They're injury lottery tickets that if the starter gets hurt, you're going to want that player.
29:37Trevion was awesome in the three games that Ramondre missed last year, but otherwise struggled when Ramondre was healthy.
29:42Let's combine two receivers that you have on your list, Cardinal Tate and DK Metcalf, because they are going back-to-back.
29:47So not necessarily in their overall picks, Tate is 90.5 overall.
29:50Oh no, they are. 90.5 and 90.8. So they're basically right back-to-back.
29:53Wide receiver 35 for Tate, wide receiver 36 for Metcalf.
29:56Are we overreacting a little bit to the preseason for the Titans?
29:59I don't think so. And this doesn't have as much to do with Carnell Tate as it does Cam Ward and the rest of this Tennessee offense.
30:06Cam Ward looks terrible. He's completed zero of six passes of 10 plus A yards so far.
30:11Air yards. What did I say? A yards. A yards.
30:14Air yards. Yeah. So far this preseason. One of those included a drop from Tate, which is problematic.
30:18I don't hate the ADP for Cardinal Tate at 90.5, but he should honestly, you should try and get him a little
30:24bit lower than that in that round 9-10 range.
30:27And that's where I'd have DK Metcalf as well.
30:29Crowded receiving core now in Pittsburgh with Michael Pittman there.
30:32I like the draft pick that they have, Jeremy Bernard.
30:34Plus Roman Wilson, once upon a time, was one of my favorite rookies coming out.
30:38He started to step up as well. I think there's just more options and more short area options for Aaron Rodgers to
30:44go to that will not only hurt DK Metcalf, but also the running backs.
30:48I don't know if the running backs get the same type of target share that they had last year because of Pittman,
30:54because of Bernard, and because of Roman Wilson all being there to take work away from them.
30:58I think part of it is the injuries for both Metcalf and Pittman.
31:02They haven't been practicing, so we haven't got to see what...
31:05That's the first two. Not being there. All right, we're going to let you guys fight again because we've got Kyle Pitts coming up here.
31:11So Kyle Pitts is tight end 5. I know that's fine for you.
31:15It's a little too soon for me. I like Laporta better.
31:18I know you'd like Laporta better as well. But you have Tucker Craft in there also.
31:22So Kyle Pitts is somebody you've been very adamant about that you're not drafting.
31:26Outside of a five-game span last year when Drake London was hurt, this tight end's averaged around 10 PPR points per game.
31:31And there have been seasons, full seasons, where he's averaged less than that.
31:35Now, he was awesome in those five games without Drake London.
31:38But last time I checked, Drake London is healthy.
31:40And now it looks like we're going to get the quarterback that we want in Atlanta.
31:45We're going to get Michael Penix Jr. as the guy under center there and not Tua Tungabailoa.
31:49I actually was encouraged by what I saw from Pitts with Tua under center because Tua was getting rid of the ball so fast.
31:55Penix won't do that. Penix will look downfield a little bit longer.
31:59And I don't know if Pitts is going to be the guy who's there.
32:02So I don't want to overvalue Pitts based on the fancy points that he had as a whole last year.
32:08The name of the game here is that Drake London is the number one target.
32:12Pitts might have the coordinator that you like, but it doesn't mean he's going to get a ton of work.
32:17And even when he has gotten a decent amount of targets for a tight end, it hasn't always resulted in consistent fantasy points.
32:23I think he's closer to tight end 10 than tight end 5.
32:26He had an awesome rookie season and he scored one touchdown.
32:29And so it didn't look that good in terms of fantasy points.
32:32But it was one of the best rookie seasons that we've seen.
32:36He got hurt, had the PCL injury. We've seen that bother guys for multiple years.
32:40He wasn't quite as good. He was very good last year without Drake London.
32:43And that's true. I don't think based on what that offensive line looked like in front of Tua, that Michael Penix is
32:49going to have the option to hold onto the ball for a long time.
32:53And I do think the offensive coordinator matters in the Kevin Stefanski, Drew Petsing system.
32:57It's not just been Harold Fannin and Trey McBride.
32:59It's been David Njoku. It was Zach Ertz when he played.
33:02It was Austin Hooper. It was Austin Hooper. It's been a 23% target per route run rate or higher for all of those tight ends.
33:09Kyle Pitts somehow is still just 25 years old.
33:11He's still very talented. Reports from camp saying he's moving as well as he has in years.
33:16I 100% believe. I prefer him at tight end 6, but I think the ADP is too low.
33:21So I love. I've drafted Sam Laporta in half of my drafts.
33:24In three of the other drafts, it's been Kyle Pitts.
33:26I just took him in our FFT Open picking on 6-7 turn.
33:30So taking him there was. Which is his ADP.
33:32Which is his ADP. And he was my next highest tight end.
33:35I didn't love the receiver value. We only start two receivers in that league.
33:39So first time that I've drafted him in a league that we're playing out.
33:43Because I'm not in that draft. You're not in that draft, right?
33:46I'm excited to somebody else took Laporta already. So I'm excited for him.
33:49So we'll see how he does. All right, we're going to take a break.
33:53We're going to come back. It's my turn to talk about some of the players that I'm avoiding.
33:58It's very running back heavy. You can imagine Christian McCaffrey is not somebody I'll be drafting.
34:02We'll talk about why next on FFT. Welcome back to Fantasy Football Today.
34:06All right, it's my turn to talk about the players that I do not plan to draft for 2026.
34:11A lot of it is tied to their value.
34:13A lot of it is tied to the position that they play and some of the injuries that they're dealing with.
34:19So Josh Allen is mostly 100%, 1,000%. No question about it.
34:21His average draft position. You have four running backs here.
34:24One that is hopefully not going to be injured.
34:27One that is hopefully not going to be on the worst team in football.
34:30And two guys that are battling injuries in Ashton Gentry and Jeremiah Love.
34:34The Josh Allen conversation can be very quick. It's just really, when you look at it, he's going in the second round.
34:40And then there's a huge gap and the rest of the field starts.
34:43You listed it off when you were talking about the guys.
34:46You might get Josh Allen in round three. Then you could get Lamar Jackson in round five.
34:50Then maybe Drake May, Joe Burrow in round six.
34:53And that's not just us talking about this as analysts.
34:56And I know a lot of it is probably going to change over the next two weeks as most of the novice
35:01drafters are starting to take part in fantasy football.
35:04That being said, the gap between Josh Allen is not that far.
35:07Should not be that significant that he is going to just obliterate the field.
35:11Please do not take him in round two. Round three, I think we all agree.
35:15We'll take Josh Allen. I'd start entertaining it then, yeah.
35:17Preferred in round four. I mean, I preferred in round ten.
35:20Preferred in round ten. You drafted him in a league with analysts yesterday.
35:24Round four. In round four. Perfect time to get Josh Allen if you can get him that late.
35:29Let's just say round three is probably the right time to target him.
35:32All right, let's get to the running backs because that's where I think the conversation starts.
35:36So Christian McCaffrey is RB4 based on his CBS Sports average draft position coming off the board at number seven overall.
35:42We've been all over the place, I think, with him collectively.
35:45I know Heath and I think we downgraded him the most once we had this mysterious injury slash rest slash maybe contract.
35:51We don't know exactly what it was, but he came out and said this was part of the plan to sit during training camp.
35:57I'm still nervous. We have two years on his resume of over 400 total touches.
36:01The following year, each time he did not play a full season, four games max was the total in the following year.
36:07I don't want to take him in the middle of round one.
36:10Right. Does anybody want to take him in the middle of round one?
36:13Is eighth overall in the middle of round one?
36:16It's pretty close to the middle of round one.
36:18So I guess I would qualify. I guess that means I'm the high guy on Christian McCaffrey.
36:23No, our colleague Adam Azer is taking fifth overall.
36:25Right, right, right. And to me, it sounds silly to say, well, he's on my do not draft list because I won't
36:31take him fifth, but I'll take him eighth. But I feel the exact same way you do.
36:36And think about this. The last two times he had 400 plus touches in the season and then missed time.
36:41He was younger. He's 30 now. He also had the highest amount of targets per game that he's ever had in San Francisco last year at 7.6.
36:48That's nearly two targets per game. Think about what the 49ers have added this offseason.
36:52Right. Mike Evans is there. Dejon Stribbling is there.
36:54George Kittle is back. They have added pieces to try and take some pressure off of Christian McCaffrey there.
36:59Plus, they drafted Kalon Black for whatever that's worth.
37:02Jordan James is there as well. They are probably smart to lighten the load on this 30-year-old running back who's already missed a good chunk of training camp.
37:09The way I'm talking, I should be having him ranked 18th overall and not eighth overall.
37:14But I know what the upside is. And if he can handle the bulk of the season, he's going to be a league winner.
37:20On our draft-a-thon Wednesday night, Mike Florio of ESPN I think said it best.
37:24If you don't want Christian McCaffrey, you're just waiting for somebody else to take him before he gets to your spot in the draft.
37:30So we'll see how this goes for McCaffrey. I want to have the conversation about Devon HN because you guys are much more positive about HN.
37:37I'm not taking him until round two. Are you both round one picks for HN?
37:41I've got an 11th. Late round one. Yeah. About that same exact spot.
37:44Okay. So I'll make the case against. You can make the case for Heath.
37:48I just worry about this Dolphins' offensive environment. You get almost daily reports from their own beat writers saying how bad this offense has looked at times.
37:55And that's going against the Dolphins' defense. HN's going to get a lot of work.
37:59There's no question about it. He's going to be the focal point of this offense.
38:03Every defense coordinator in the world. Every fake defensive coordinator in the world.
38:07Everybody watching this knows that Devon HN is going to get every touch for the Dolphins.
38:11They're not going to win many games. Their projected win total is four and a half.
38:15I would take the under. I don't think he's going to score many touchdowns.
38:19And then you look at his history with Tua Tunga-Vailoa, without Tua Tunga-Vailoa.
38:22I know it's very wild different times of his career.
38:25But it's a 15 point per game difference when Tua is not on the field with him.
38:30So Malik Willis is not going. 15 point per game difference?
38:33Yes. 15? Yes. Is some of that his rookie year when Raheem Oster was there?
38:37No. Oh, okay. No, I'm sorry. Yes, it is.
38:39Again, it's wildly different things. But numbers are numbers.
38:41You know, so when I'm trying to make an argument, I'm using that.
38:45So Devon A. Chan is not going to be as involved in the passing game.
38:49I think it's going to hurt his overall numbers.
38:51So I would not take him until round two.
38:54So even number 11 is too high for me.
38:56He's the most efficient running back in the NFL since he came into the league.
39:00His coach wants to give him the ball 40 times a game.
39:03And I think we can laugh at that. It's hyperbole.
39:06It's also, I think his coach would love it if you told him at the end of the year Devon A.
39:11Chan is going to have more touches than any other running back.
39:15Like he is going to be the offense. Malik Willis and his rushing ability should help A.
39:19Chan to remain an efficient rusher, even with a subpar offensive line.
39:22He averaged 20 fantasy points per game last year on not a disastrous offense, but a pretty bad offense.
39:27They were a bottom third of the league for sure.
39:30And Dave went to practice and it turns out Malik Willis does know how to throw the ball to his running back.
39:36Dave saw Malik Willis throw the ball to his running back.
39:39Not just once or twice. He like five times, six times.
39:42He's practicing it. A couple of them were improbable.
39:44Which is good because he doesn't have any wide receivers.
39:47He does have some wide receivers. They're just not like stud wide receivers.
39:50Right. Yes. So to be fair, yes, he's obviously going to throw to his running backs.
39:55He is the worst quarterback in the last two years in terms of target rate to his running back.
40:00So that's true. I think that's changing. He's learning.
40:02I hope so. I think they're banging it into his helmet.
40:05I hope so. It won't be as many catches as he had last year.
40:09There's no way about it. All right. The last two guys in this list, we can just combine because it's basically injury versus ADP.
40:15And that's Ashton Gentty and Jeremiah Love. I'm not taking Gentty in round two.
40:19You said you just did it in a 14 team.
40:21That makes a little bit more sense. I would not take him until round three.
40:25Right now he's RB 10. So he is slipping a little bit based on the average draft position.
40:30It's just such a mystery right now. We don't know exactly what this is.
40:34It's been reported as a low ankle sprain. But Clint Kubiak, the head coach of the Raiders, has not come out and
40:40said exactly what this is dealing with. And normally when we get because Adam Schefter, Ian Rappaport, the NFL insiders that you
40:46all know, they're usually pretty great at getting some information about a timeline.
40:49We have nothing. We don't know if he's going to be ready for week one.
40:53I would not draft him until round three. And Mike Washington should be somebody you should be targeting as early as round
40:59seven, round eight, round nine, depending on how much you want to be aggressive in drafting him.
41:03For Jeremiah Love, hey, we got a video yesterday of him walking up steps carrying pizza boxes.
41:08He's getting closer to a return. But another situation where we just don't know.
41:12I think his ADP is okay. It's 32.8. So going the early part of round three, I'm just probably not going to get him until round four.
41:19I'd rather take Travis Achan. I'd rather take DeAndre Swift.
41:22I think Javante Williams, Josh Jacobs, all these guys that he was going ahead of should now go ahead of him because of the uncertainty.
41:28Both these three guys, you want to throw Achan in there, three of the worst projected win totals according to Las Vegas,
41:34which is very good at what they do. And then you're talking about, in the case of Gentian Love, two of the
41:40worst schedules of any running backs that we're talking about here.
41:43So don't love the scenarios for both these guys.
41:45In the case of Love, we know he's going to potentially lose goal line touches to Tyler Algier.
41:50And in the case of Gentie, because of Washington, we might get a little bit more of a split.
41:55So I'm just out on all these running backs, which makes it tough to draft.
41:59But I'm going to pass on McCaffrey, Achan, Gentie, and Love.
42:02All right, we're going to take a break. When we come back, I'm going to get into your questions.
42:07Thank you for sending them to us on X using the hashtag AskFFT.
42:10That's next here on Fantasy Football Today. Welcome back to Fantasy Football Today.
42:14It's time to answer your questions. So, G wants to know, I have picked three in a 10-man PPR standard.
42:19We won't say the league. Do you hate going chase in round one and then taking chase Brown in round two?
42:25Or do you try to avoid stacking the Bengals?
42:27So we have this question a lot about two Lions in the first round, Bengals early, Cowboys, two receivers early.
42:33Dave, what's your philosophy on this in a 10-10?
42:35When it's a great offense, I don't mind stacking them.
42:38When it's a bad offense, it's kind of a problem.
42:40And that's why I always feel gross when I end up with two Browns on my team.
42:45But when it's two Bengals or two Lions, two Cowboys, yeah, of course I'd want to go for that.
42:50This isn't a problem at all. Plus, chase Brown in round two, great value.
42:54Yeah, and G just switched to a better league.
42:56All right, next question. Brian wants to know, what do you think about this trade?
43:00Half PPR, two keeper league. I don't have a second round pick.
43:03I'm keeping Omari and Hampton and have Puka Nakua.
43:06I want to trade Nakua for Gentie and give up my third round and receive a second round and swap first.
43:11Yeah, I'm not ready to do that, especially given the injury to Gentie.
43:15I think I'd rather have Puka. Just deal with not having the second round pick.
43:19Keith? Yeah, I mean, I guess Dave's got that one too.
43:22Oh, sorry. Yeah, no. So you're getting to move up a full round and you're moving from 111 to 108 to three spots.
43:28I mean, what would you need? Half PPR, two.
43:30Yeah. Yeah, I'd probably do that and I'd distract Mike Washington later.
43:33I guess. I'd rather keep Puka though. All right, next question.
43:36Heath, what do you think about this one? Three keepers, 12-team PPR league.
43:40Chase Brown in the fourth, Colston Loveland in the sixth, Rashi Rice in the tenth, McBride in the twelfth, Fannin in the fifteenth or Coker in the fifteenth.
43:47With three, are you keeping? So I would probably keep Chase Brown.
43:50I just said I wouldn't draft Trey McBride, but if I can keep him for a twelfth, I'd probably go Chase Brown, Rashi Rice, and Trey McBride.
43:57I would do the same thing. All right, next question.
44:00Coop wants to know, Kayshawn Booty or Jalen Coker, Dave?
44:03I'm going to go with Coker or Booty, but I like drafting one of those guys late if I can.
44:08Yeah, you can probably get both. I think Coker makes more sense to go first though.
44:12All right, next question. All right, last one here.
44:1512 team half PPR, two wide receivers, one flex, one tight end.
44:18What's your draft strategy? Thoughts having the first overall pick, so taking Gibbs.
44:21And then would you go with McBride or Bowers or McBride at the 2-3 turn?
44:25Heath, how would you approach the draft strategy here in this format?
44:29So that says Bowers and McBride. I would not do that.
44:31If I could get Bowers at the 2-3 turn, which I just recently did, I don't know if I told anybody in
44:37the FFT Open, I got Gibbs and Bowers and George Pickens at the 2-3 turn.
44:41I think you should expect that it's going to be a hero RB build from that spot and just hope maybe that
44:47A-Chan or Swift or one of those good RB2s falls to the 4-5 turn.
44:51But plan on taking hopefully Bowers or two wide receivers.
44:54Dave? I agree 100%, especially in a half PPR where the receivers themselves downgraded a little bit.
44:58It looked like it was a smaller league. That means Bowers just has a little bit more value.
45:03And I do like Bowers over McBride in half PPR.
45:06I just want to take a moment here to thank everybody who donated to our draft-a-thon to raise money for St.
45:11Jude. We are not done. You can continue to donate on our Tiltify page.
45:15What's the URL again? Tiltify. I don't know. TinyURL.
45:17TinyURL.com slash FFTDonate2026. It's just easier if you Google FFTDonate2026, all one word, search for it, and then look for the Tiltify link.
45:23Yes. So continue to donate. We are a little shy of our goal of $200,000, but we hope to get there.
45:29But I just want to say thank you to everybody because we know this audience has contributed to a lot of what
45:35we have raised as well, and we had a lot of fun doing it.
45:39The tennis match was awesome, as everybody watched. The draft-a-thon that we did on Wednesday night was awesome, as everybody got a chance to see.
