Player insights

124

A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury7:00

AJ Brown is a must-start receiver who will miss significant time due to injury, creating an urgent replacement need; his absence is the primary driver of increased FAB spending at the wide receiver position this week.

Insight page
NegativeInjury12:15

AJ Brown is on IR and could be out for six weeks, a significant blow to Philadelphia's receiving corps.

Insight page

Aaron Jones

PositiveRole11:00

Aaron Jones could be a must-start this week at Chicago if Jordan Mason remains unavailable, positioning him as a high-priority waiver target.

Insight page
NegativeInjury30:00

Jones is injured and his return timeline is unknown; his absence has allowed Jordan Love to maintain high pass volume, but when Jones returns, Love's volume and fantasy value may decrease.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

NegativeRole59:59

Antonio Williams had a great debut but only 29% route participation rate, which limits excitement; he's a really talented receiver who can win in the slot and was used everywhere in college, but the Commanders didn't use him enough in week 1; his pathway to more playing time depends on whether they go to 11 personnel (three wide receivers) more often, possibly with Oconko out; he's a stash but not a top waiver wire add right now.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection39:22

Mayfield is expected to bounce back in a big way when facing his former team. However, the opposing defense may not be as easy a matchup as it once was.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection48:48

Bo Nix had a poor Week 2 performance, described as 'awful' by the source. He fumbled multiple times (some didn't count) and threw an interception. The source notes that despite Denver's defense potentially being 'awesome because there's a lot of young players there,' Nix's poor play limits the Broncos' offensive upside. However, the source expects 'a better Denver offense moving forward,' suggesting Week 2 was an outlier.

Insight page
NegativeProjection48:58

Bo Nix looked awful in Week 1 against Kansas City, fumbling multiple times and throwing an interception; the offensive line provided him no favors, and Kansas City's pass rush attacked aggressively through the A gaps, making it very difficult on the young quarterback. However, the expectation is that Denver's offense will improve moving forward.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

NegativeValue20:00

Listed as a deeper waiver wire running back option if going beyond the primary targets.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveInjury13:15

Brian Thomas Jr. is expected to play this week despite recent injury concerns, a positive sign for his availability.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeInjury14:30

Brock Bowers is day-to-day, a status that fantasy managers should monitor closely when considering him for starting lineups.

Insight page
NegativeInjury25:55

Bowers is listed as day-to-day by Kubiak, but the source suspects the injury is more week-to-week in reality, which affects the viability of Mayer as a waiver wire target.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveValue13:40

Young is available in 78% of leagues and is preferred over Carson Wentz for waiver wire pickups due to a better upcoming schedule. In super flex leagues, Young is already rostered in most cases.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveUsage39:51

Irving had one of the best games of any running back the speaker has watched; he was making defenders miss in the backfield despite the Buccaneers' run defense not improving. The speaker is curious to see how he performs against Cincinnati's run defense this week.

Insight page

Cade Otton

NegativeMatchup27:24

Otton is a low-end tight end streaming option against Cleveland; the speaker suggests he could find the end zone in that matchup.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveBreakout0:48

Best Dolphins receiver in week 1; speed was a differentiator; must add for now, though different Dolphins receivers may lead targets on a week-to-week basis depending on whether Chris Bell gets going or Malik Washington continues to lead targets.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout5:15

Caleb Douglas ranks among the top 10 rookie wide receivers in Week 1 receiving yards over the last 20 years, placing him in elite company alongside Marquise Brown, Terry McLaurin, Puka Nakua, and Jamar Chase. This historical performance suggests significant breakout potential.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout22:42

Second priority wide receiver add; Dolphins receiving core is a work in progress, creating opportunity for Douglas.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper27:19

Douglas had an impressive Week 1 performance and is viewed as a potential steal drafted later than expected; however, the speaker cautions it's too early to call him a league-winner because Chris Bell could take a bigger target share as he gets healthier. Douglas made a veteran sideline catch with toe drag that impressed evaluators, and Pete Prisco preferred him over Bell post-draft.

Insight page
NegativeUsage29:24

Douglas had a very high average route depth in Week 1, suggesting deep-ball dependency that may not be sustainable given Willis's poor downfield accuracy; this limits his floor and consistency.

Insight page
PositiveValue42:09

Douglas is 28% rostered and should be prioritized ahead of Demario Douglas on the waiver wire for deep leagues.

Insight page

Carson Wentz

PositiveValue8:00

Wentz is expected to be one of the most-spent FAB targets this week in super flex leagues due to quarterback scarcity; his job security depends on performance in Week 2, with potential to keep the Vikings starting role all season if he performs well.

Insight page
PositiveValue8:07

Wentz is available in 99% of leagues and is the top waiver wire quarterback option for deep leagues. However, there is uncertainty about whether he will be the rest-of-season starter.

Insight page

Chris Bell

NegativeRole27:19

As Bell gets healthier, he could take a bigger target share and have a bigger opportunity, which could limit Caleb Douglas's upside; the speaker wanted to stash Bell leading into Week 1.

Insight page

Chris Brooks

NegativeRole4:15

Chris Brooks appeared to be the primary back on passing downs for the Packers in Week 1, though the backfield rotation remains unclear after one game. He combined with Marshawn Lloyd for only two targets, and Lloyd showed pass protection issues, suggesting Brooks may have a role advantage moving forward.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeUsage31:18

Olave left the field frequently in Week 1, suggesting possible injury or role concerns; his availability and snap count going forward are uncertain.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeRole0:56

Expected to be used in tandem with Kalen Black; Black will be a flex play on a weekly basis with upside if McCaffrey gets injured.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveProjection30:30

Watson looks like a monster in the Green Bay passing game; however, he has a history of injury concerns, creating contingency upside for Devon Valey if Watson misses time.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveRole42:16

Kalief Raymond's role in the Bears offense negatively impacts Colson Loveland's target share and role.

Insight page

D'Onta Foreman

NegativeRole44:01

The speaker is worried about Foreman not getting the volume he expected; Foreman played 50% of snaps in week one, which the speaker attributes to injury-related limitations on the Bears offense, suggesting his role share may not expand as hoped.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveValue63:23

Dalton Kincaid is 87% rostered but occasionally available in leagues; he is preferred over Jawan Johnson and Dalton Schultz in the tight end hierarchy.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

PositiveUsage25:56

Schultz earned 8 targets again in Week 2 against the Bills defense, which is encouraging despite the Bills' strong defensive personnel; he's mentioned as a viable waiver wire tight end option.

Insight page
PositiveUsage26:28

Schultz got eight targets against the Bills defense in Week 2, maintaining second-place target share on the Texans; the speaker calls him an easy add if you need a tight end this week.

Insight page
NegativeValue63:33

Dalton Schultz is ranked below both Jawan Johnson and Dalton Kincaid in the tight end hierarchy for week 2 waiver wire purposes.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeMatchup40:18

Montgomery faces Cincinnati's run defense this week; the speaker notes Cincinnati's run defense allowed 18 carries for 60 yards (or similar), suggesting a potentially tough matchup. Montgomery had 21st-ranked work in the passing game but the speaker disliked his fumble.

Insight page

David Njoku

PositiveRole25:45

Njoku should be added to the tight end waiver wire list due to the McCaffrey injury opening up opportunity in the Browns offense.

Insight page
PositiveRole63:48

David Njoku is mentioned as a tight end who may take advantage of injuries in week 2.

Insight page

De'Zhaun Stribling

NegativeInjury14:00

Deshaun Stribbling could be out for four weeks, creating a temporary void in his team's depth chart.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

PositiveSleeper1:25

Available in shallow leagues; should absolutely be rostered in 100% of leagues; probably prioritized over Devaughn Vele as a waiver wire target, though it's a close call.

Insight page
NegativeValue3:27

Debo Samuel is mentioned as a shallow league wide receiver option with 80% roster percentage on CBS, slightly higher than Matthew Golden (77%). However, Golden is preferred as a waiver wire target over Debo despite similar availability.

Insight page
PositiveValue32:00

Samuel had 6 catches for 48 yards and a touchdown plus a 12-yard carry in Week 1; he's a massive priority on the waiver wire. With Elijah Stripling out for a month or more and the 49ers showing another great offense, Samuel should be in play as at least a number three receiver as long as he stays healthy. The touchdown inflates his Week 1 line, but the underlying role in a strong offense supports his value.

Insight page

Demarcus Robinson

PositiveSleeper44:29

Robinson is 7% rostered and the 49ers love him; he played a lot in week one and will get an opportunity despite being older, making him a potential waiver wire pickup in deeper leagues.

Insight page

Demario Douglas

NegativeRole22:48

Source would love to see DeMario Douglas get better opportunities and more targets, but Patriots are stubborn and still favor veteran Matt Collins; Douglas is ranked much further down the waiver wire due to limited opportunity.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper23:09

Douglas is positioned as a stash candidate in PPR formats after Stefan Diggs' departure opened opportunity; he posted a 22% target share in a quarter-and-a-half against Seattle last week and had a 29.1% target per route run rate when Diggs was off the field last year, suggesting he could reach around 11 PPR points if volume increases, though his 5 catches for 20 yards in Week 1 suggests he needs better efficiency.

Insight page
PositiveValue42:09

Douglas is highlighted as a deep league wide receiver option on waivers. Caleb Douglas is 28% rostered and would be prioritized ahead of Demario Douglas.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeRole10:00

Deshaun Watson is likely to start for his team, a key depth-chart note for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Devaughn Vele

PositiveBreakout0:19

Rookie wide receiver who had the 10th most receiving yards in the last 20 years in week 1 for any rookie WR; strong start in first game without Jordan Tyson; expected to be part of a high-volume passing offense; must add and potential must start as long as Tyson remains out.

Insight page

Devin Singletary

NegativeValue20:19

Listed as third favorite running back on the waiver wire, though source is not married to the ranking.

Insight page
PositiveRole41:47

Singletary is the only running back worth adding on waivers and is available in many leagues. He has a defined role as the passing downs back for the New York Giants; if the game script goes wrong for the Giants, he will see increased playing time over Saquon Barkley into the second half.

Insight page

Drew Lock

PositiveValue8:00

Lock is expected to be a high-spend FAB target in super flex leagues due to quarterback scarcity; his value is elevated by the difficulty of finding starting quarterbacks in deep formats.

Insight page

Dylan Sampson

NegativeInjury11:48

Dylan Samson is out for an extended period, opening opportunities for other Cleveland running backs.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

NegativeValue21:16

Listed among running back waiver wire options alongside Kalon Black and Tyler Algier.

Insight page

Evan Engram

NegativeRole49:09

Evan Ingram looked decent in Week 1 for Denver, part of the team's approach to spread the ball out among multiple receivers rather than focusing heavily on Jalen Waddle.

Insight page

Hunter Henry

PositiveRole63:48

Hunter Henry is mentioned as a tight end who may take advantage of injuries in week 2.

Insight page

Isiah Pacheco

NegativeInjury10:30

Isaiah Pacheco is out several months following back surgery, creating a significant opportunity for other Kansas City running backs.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

PositiveUsage45:28

Dobbins had 6-8 carries in week one against Denver; the Chiefs' conservative offensive approach and heavy reliance on the run game suggests Dobbins could see consistent volume in the backfield.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveSleeper1:25

Available in shallow leagues; should absolutely be rostered in 100% of leagues; prioritized as a waiver wire target.

Insight page
PositiveValue3:27

Jalen Coker is identified as the number one shallow league wide receiver waiver wire target, with 70% roster percentage on CBS. His status as a top waiver priority suggests strong Week 1 performance and role establishment.

Insight page
PositiveValue6:24

Coker's roster percentages vary significantly by platform: 70% on CBS, 60% on Yahoo, and 50% on ESPN, making him available in shallow ESPN and Yahoo leagues despite being heavily rostered on CBS; his ankle status is a consideration for FAB spending decisions.

Insight page
PositiveInjury13:30

Jalen Coker sprained his ankle in the first quarter and was in a walking boot, but he expects to play and should be fine, making him a potential waiver-wire target.

Insight page

James Cook

NegativeUsage11:18

James Cook did not run a single route on third down in week 1, a concerning sign for his passing-game involvement and overall usage in Buffalo's offense.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeProjection30:30

Reed did not have his best game in Week 1 despite playing in a strong Green Bay passing game; his upside may not have fully materialized yet.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveUsage5:45

Jalen Waddle received only two targets in Week 1 under Davis Webb's play-calling, a notably low volume for a top receiver that raises questions about his offensive role and target allocation.

Insight page
NegativeUsage5:52

Waddle had only three targets and one catch in Week 2 against Kansas City's defense. The source expresses concern about the Broncos' passing game efficiency, noting 'I'm not encouraged by this passing game at all.' Additionally, the speaker mentions telling his wife to draft Waddle in her fantasy league but criticizes the play-calling, saying the offensive coordinator 'does not let Jalen Waddle touch the ball enough.' There's speculation that Sean Payton may take over play-calling duties due to the poor offensive performance.

Insight page
PositiveUsage45:34

Waddle had only 3 targets and 1 catch in week one; his limited target share is concerning given the Dolphins' passing game expectations and raises questions about his role in the offense.

Insight page
PositiveValue48:58

Despite a poor Week 1 performance by the Denver offense against Kansas City, Waddle is a buy-low candidate; he was still fast, elusive, and separating on the field, was double-teamed twice, and the poor game is attributable to Bo Nix's struggles and the offensive line's poor performance rather than Waddle's ability. The buy-low window remains open until Waddle has a huge game, which should come soon.

Insight page
NegativeRole49:09

Concern exists about Waddle's role in Denver's offense based on Week 1 patterns; the team spread the ball out with Evan Ingram and Pat Bryant looking decent, and Cortlin Sutton still needs to be involved, suggesting Waddle may not continue to be a focal point despite being a major investment.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeRole11:33

Jeremiah Love was not on a snap count in week 1, which is not encouraging for his short-term fantasy outlook despite facing Seattle this week.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeValue20:39

Source would drop Jonathan Brooks for Kalon Black, suggesting Brooks is not a priority hold after week 1.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveValue9:00

Love scored 23 fantasy points against Minnesota and is available in shallow leagues despite 68% roster ownership on Yahoo; he's only 42% rostered on ESPN, making him a potential pickup for league-specific availability.

Insight page
PositiveValue9:27

Jordan Love is mentioned as a shallow-league pickup option in the context of the Packers offense looking pass-heavy in week 1, suggesting upside for managers in shallower formats.

Insight page
PositiveProjection30:00

Love averaged over 30 pass attempts per game in his career and typically scores 23 points per game in those games; when given high volume opportunities, he rewards fantasy managers. In Week 1 against Minnesota, he played well despite an interception off a tip and offensive line issues early; he was carving up a strong defense. His value is contingent on maintaining high pass volume, which may change when Aaron Jones returns from injury.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeInjury10:30

Jordan Mason has a sore thumb that could affect his availability, though the source suggests it may not be a major concern.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeInjury31:18

Tyson's return timeline is unknown, and his effectiveness upon return is uncertain; this creates opportunity for Devon Valey to maintain a larger role in the Saints passing game.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeInjury5:00

Josh Jacobs' status remains unclear heading into Week 2, with the source noting that the upcoming game against the Jets will provide more clarity on his availability and role in the Packers backfield.

Insight page
NegativeRole9:30

Josh Jacobs' potential return is flagged as a factor that could affect the Packers' running back landscape, though no specific timeline is provided.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveValue63:03

Jawan Johnson is the one shallow-league tight end to target; he is preferred over Dalton Schultz and Dalton Kincaid (who is 87% rostered).

Insight page

Kaelon Black

PositiveBreakout20:30

Received significant work in week 1 against the Rams and looked impressive; McCaffrey's injury makes Black a priority add; source would drop Jonathan Brooks for Black.

Insight page

Kalif Raymond

PositiveRole42:28

Raymond is a small, shifty underneath target and check-down option for Caleb Williams, particularly when Williams is pressured. The speaker loved his role in the offense and wonders if 10 PPR points per game is sustainable, though he cautions it would require a deep league. Raymond is only 1% rostered.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper43:21

Raymond is 1% rostered on CBS and available everywhere; he could be a free agent pickup on Thursday/Friday if PPR scoring matters in your league. The speaker notes that while everyone hates Raymond right now, he might still get a lot of targets and could be worth adding in shallow leagues if you can't land other wide receiver options.

Insight page

Kaytron Allen

NegativeValue20:00

Listed as a deeper waiver wire running back option if going beyond the primary targets.

Insight page
NegativeRole41:47

Allen got some playing time after Jacoby Crosby had a fumble late against Philadelphia. The speaker suggests stashing him to see what happens with the backfield situation.

Insight page

Kendrick Bourne

PositiveSleeper43:24

Bourne is serving the same wide receiver role for Arizona as he did for Chicago; the speaker might buy into Bourne slightly more than Raymond, noting both are rooting hard against them but both might still get a lot of targets in their respective offenses.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper61:01

Kendrick Bourne is only 1% rostered and intriguing because the Patriots are going to throw the ball a ton.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveUsage0:53

Walker was heavily featured in Seattle's Week 2 win, averaging 7.5 yards per carry on six to eight carries. The source notes that Seattle 'leaned into Walker like Seattle rarely did outside of the playoffs last year,' suggesting the team realized early they could run the ball effectively and committed to the ground game. However, the source cautions that this production may not be sustainable if defenses improve their tackling and Kenneth Walker isn't averaging 7.5 yards per carry in future weeks.

Insight page

Khalil Shakir

PositiveProjection59:50

Khalil Shakir had a not-bad week 1 game with four catches for 50 yards on six targets; he gets Detroit on Thursday in week 2.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeInjury8:00

Murray's situation is uncertain heading into Week 2, creating potential quarterback scarcity concerns for super flex managers.

Insight page
NegativeInjury10:00

Kyler Murray suffered a concussion, creating uncertainty around Arizona's quarterback situation for the upcoming week.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveRole42:16

Kalief Raymond's role in the Bears offense negatively impacts Luther Burden's target share and role.

Insight page
NegativeInjury43:44

Burden missed significant time in camp with a groin injury and was questionable going into week one; his snap and route counts should improve dramatically once he's fully healthy, as his early-season numbers are depressed by injury.

Insight page

Malik Washington

NegativeProjection29:24

Washington also had a high average route depth in Week 1 like other Miami receivers; despite the deep-ball scheme, he can still produce 10+ PPR points even if Caleb Douglas maintains his role.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeProjection28:00

Willis had a poor Week 1 game throwing downfield, which is a concern for his downfield passing ability and could negatively impact his receivers' production.

Insight page
NegativeProjection29:18

Willis had a poor Week 1 performance throwing downfield; his inability to execute vertically limits the upside of his receivers and his own fantasy value.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeRole4:22

Marshawn Lloyd struggled in pass protection during Week 1, including one play where he was run over, resulting in a tipped pass and interception. This performance may limit his role in the Packers offense moving forward, particularly on passing downs where Chris Brooks appears to have the edge.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

NegativeUsage1:52

Had a 30% target share in week 1; ran 25% of routes; however, his routes were primarily go routes, which is not favorable for fantasy production.

Insight page
PositiveUsage3:12

Matthew Golden commanded a 30% target share in Week 1 despite running primarily go routes, which are suboptimal for fantasy production. However, he was heavily peppered with 12 targets when the team was chasing points, demonstrating significant offensive involvement and role in a pass-heavy game plan.

Insight page
PositiveValue3:27

Matthew Golden is the top waiver wire target among shallow league wide receivers, preferred over Debo Samuel despite similar roster percentages (Golden 77%, Debo 80%). The preference is driven by his role and target volume in Week 1.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout30:30

Golden may have had his best game in Week 1 and is part of a strong passing game with Love; he's a potential league-winner candidate for waiver wire pickups, though not a guaranteed league winner.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

NegativeRole14:45

Michael Mayer is a potential pickup or start option this week, with Brock Bowers' day-to-day status creating an opportunity for increased playing time.

Insight page
NegativeValue25:18

Mayer is the only tight end the source would prioritize on waivers, but only as a short-term answer contingent on Brock Bowers remaining out; he was disappointing against Miami with 7 targets in a game where the Raiders played with a lead, which won't be typical, and his small sample size track record from last year when Bowers was out provides limited confidence despite the opportunity.

Insight page
NegativeDepth Chart63:42

Michael Mayer may or may not be the starting tight end for the Raiders in week 2.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

PositiveValue8:00

Penix is a potential high-spend FAB target in super flex leagues if available, as quarterback scarcity makes him valuable; his availability depends on the Falcons' quarterback situation.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury32:00

Evans was banged up frequently in training camp, raising durability concerns heading into the season.

Insight page

Mitchell Trubisky

NegativeRole61:42

Mitch Trubisky is mentioned as a potential waiver wire add, but the speaker didn't watch the Jets offense closely enough to evaluate him; however, if he looked as good as preseason reports suggested, he might be on the same tier as Antonio Williams—not exciting to add, but there's a chance the Jets offense throws downfield more than in the past, and Trubisky is a good downfield receiver.

Insight page

Noah Fant

NegativeProjection65:24

Noah Fant got eight targets and a touchdown for the Saints in week 1, but he only ran 18 routes; this is considered an anomaly to ignore.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

NegativeDepth Chart14:15

Omar Cooper Jr. left for the Jets, a roster move that affects his previous team's offensive line depth.

Insight page

Pat Bryant

NegativeRole44:22

Bryant received attention in camp at the expense of both Waddle and Sutton; he looked decent at times in week one and scored a touchdown, making him worth monitoring despite the camp competition context.

Insight page
NegativeRole49:09

Pat Bryant looked decent in Week 1 for Denver, part of the team's approach to spread the ball out among multiple receivers rather than focusing heavily on Jalen Waddle.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveProjection45:01

Mahomes had a very good fantasy game despite throwing for only 184 yards on 27 passes; he ran faster in week one than at any point last season, and benefited from the Chiefs' conservative game plan that relied heavily on running the ball against Denver.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveValue7:00

Johnston (Vela) is recommended as a must-add wide receiver at 7% roster percentage due to significant wide receiver injuries this week; he could spark a bidding war and warrants spending up to 10% FAB despite low ownership.

Insight page

Raheim Sanders

PositiveRole12:00

Raheem Sanders was the third-down back for Cleveland in week 1, positioning him as a potential pass-game contributor in the backfield.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeUsage46:24

Rice had two targets and one touchdown in Week 2, his first game back from injury. The source advises not to panic on Rice yet, noting 'I don't think you should panic on rice yet' and contextualizing the limited targets within the game script: Kansas City faced one of the best pass defenses in the NFL (Denver), and the game script didn't require heavy passing. The source expects the Chiefs' offense to improve as they face loaded fronts that open up downfield opportunities.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

PositiveRole59:34

If Zay Flowers misses time, Rashad Bateman becomes the favorite Ravens receiver; with Jacoby Lane no longer on the roster, Bateman will get more opportunities and ran a lot of routes getting targets.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

PositiveRole42:16

Kalief Raymond's role in the Bears offense negatively impacts Rome Odunze's target share and role.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveUsage15:45

Saquon Barkley had nearly all of his rushing yards come after contact in week 1, demonstrating his ability to generate yards despite offensive line challenges and making him a valuable fantasy asset.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

NegativeProjection65:02

Terrence Ferguson is a younger tight end option with upside; compared to established options like Frymuth and Hawkinson, if you need somebody to start this week, the older guys are preferable; Ferguson is not Darren Waller.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveRole23:12

Third priority wide receiver add due to Ladd McConkie's injury; if McConkie is out, Harris gets a bigger role; Chargers offense expected to improve, especially against the Raiders this week.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper59:22

Jamie likes Trey Harris as a waiver wire add in week 2.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

PositiveMatchup59:26

Trey Tucker is an inconsistent player who didn't do much in week one, but that doesn't mean he won't produce in week two against the Chargers; he always has a chance.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeProjection30:30

Kraft did not have his best game in Week 1 despite the strong Green Bay passing game; his upside may not have fully materialized yet.

Insight page

Ty Johnson

NegativeInjury11:03

Ty Johnson was listed as limited in practice for Buffalo ahead of a Thursday game against Detroit, raising questions about his availability and impact on James Cook's role.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

NegativeRole47:16

Xavier Worthy 'did not look good again' in Week 2, per the source. The speaker expresses surprise that there wasn't more usage for Cyrus Allen and mentions limited opportunities for Thornton downfield. This suggests Worthy's role and production remain concerning despite being a Chiefs receiver in an offense that should eventually improve.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeInjury7:00

Flowers is a must-start wide receiver when healthy but his status is uncertain heading into Week 2; his potential absence due to injury creates a replacement need at the receiver position.

Insight page
NegativeInjury12:30

Zay Flowers' hamstring injury does not appear to be a major concern, and he is expected to play this week against the Saints.

1:22So it's $10. I'm not getting back. Um, let's jump right into it.
1:26Top three waiver wire priorities. Jamie Eisenberg. Yeah. Devon Vela, you mentioned him, uh, strong start to the season.
1:31First game without Jordan Tyson. I don't know. They're going to have that many pass attempts on a weekly basis, but I
1:38think they're going to throw the ball a lot.
1:40I think it's gonna be one of the more fun offenses.
1:44So, uh, must add and potential must start as long as Tyson's out.
1:48Uh, Caleb Douglas will probably have a different dolphins receiver on a week to week basis.
1:52But for right now, he was the best one in week one.
1:56We'll see if Chris Bell gets going and if Malik Washington continues to lead them targets.
2:01Uh, but he should also be a must add.
2:03And then Kaylon Black, uh, you might be able to start him this week against the dolphins because the dolphins are bad.
2:10So, um, we know what his potential is if something happens to McCaffrey.
2:14And as we saw in week one, feels like they're going to use him quite a bit in tandem with McCaffrey.
2:20So potential flex play on a weekly basis. All right.
2:23We got Vela, Caleb Douglas and Kalen Black for Jamie.
2:26Dave, who are your, who are your top three priorities?
2:29I would sub out Caleb Douglas for the bucks DST.
2:32They're out there in a ton of leagues and they play Cleveland.
2:35And so I would rather have the DST rather than taking a chance on it.
2:40And Jamie said, we're going to be picking a different dolphins wide receiver for what it's worth.
2:45I did think Caleb Douglas is speed was a differentiator for him.
2:48Um, I, I just, I hated the fact that Malik Wills was just throwing it willy nilly 20 plus yards downfield in the second half.
2:56That was just odd to me. Uh, there are some people that are going to see Jalen Coker and Debo Samuel on
3:02the waiver wire in their shallow leagues. Yeah. Prioritize them Coker for sure.
3:06And Debo probably over Vela. That's a close call, but those guys should absolutely be rostered in 100% of leagues.
3:12Yeah. Matthew golden too. He had a 30% target share.
3:15He did run 25% of that. Matthew golden's routes were go routes, which is not a good route for fantasy.
3:21Um, so that's not great, but definitely some shallow league wide receivers that like, how would you, who's your favorite?
3:27Is it Coker's number one of the shallow? Number one.
3:30I mean, you don't have to ask me. Yeah.
3:33Yeah. Um, and then Debo or, um, golden. Uh, Ooh, I would take golden.
3:37I think I would too. What's his roster ship.
3:39It's pretty high. I don't know. He's less than Debo.
3:42He's 77 and Debo's 80. Okay. So I figured that golden was drafted more often than Debo, but sure.
3:48If golden's out there, you should take him ahead of Debo.
3:51I liked, I liked a lot of his role.
3:54The go routes obviously were a problem, but he was, he got peppered, uh, when, when they were chasing points and you could play a lot.
4:02If you're, if you're getting 12 goal route targets, I'm fine with that.
4:05You know, I guess that's okay. No, he wasn't getting 12 goal route targets.
4:10I know. I'm just saying you got 12 targets in the game.
4:13Like 12 targets is great. Yeah. 30% target share for a team that, that was very, very pass heavy.
4:19And, uh, I think I'd, I'd be remiss to not mention, um, Chris Brooks, you know, he didn't have a good game,
4:25but there wasn't really, he started, he played, I think the entire first possession trying to figure out this, the rotation there.
4:32I don't really think there was one except for Brooks on passing downs, but you know, you might really matter.
4:38Yeah. They, they, they combined for two targets, those two, but, um, Marshawn Lloyd, I didn't think did great in pass protection.
4:44One play he got, he got run over a little bit and ball got tipped and intercepted.
4:49Uh, I think Chris Brooks, this'll be a more telling game for the backfield.
4:53I mean, they're going to be able to run against the tight against the jets and you know, though we'll, we'll get
5:00an idea and hopefully we get an idea this week about Josh Jacobs and what his status is.
5:05So you know, what is the situation for the Packers backfield moving forward.
5:09All right. So you both said Vela and Kayla on black.
5:12Jamie said, Caleb Douglas and, uh, Tampa Bay DST for Dave.
5:16And I'll just, just to read a real quick here, the top 10 rookie wide receivers over the last 20 years in yards in week one.
5:23Did I say it? Does that make sense? Yep.
5:26Marquise Brown, Eddie Royal, Terry McLaurin, Puka Nakua, Alan Hearns, Will Fuller, Deshaun Jackson, Jamar Chase, AJ Brown, Caleb Douglas.
5:32Pretty good list. Yeah. Yeah. Funny you say Eddie Royal.
5:35I was, uh, taking one of my son's friends to basketball practice yesterday and he said Eddie Royal is his flag football coach.
5:42Oh really? He was wide receiver 12 per game as a rookie.
5:45Crazy. Uh, also a couple of things. You think if Davis Webb was calling plays for him, he would only give him two targets.
5:52Like he gave Jalen Waddle. Oh man. For first waiver wire weeks to just a few things.
5:57Jamie writes the waiver wire column and the threshold that we use for players that we say, Oh, go add these guys is 65% rostered or less.
6:05Uh, and we'll tell you about the shallow league guys too.
6:09And we'll tell you about the deep league guys a little bit later, but, um, um, 65% or less.
6:14Now, if you play on ESPN or Yahoo, a lot more 10 team leagues there.
6:19So the roster percentages are much different. I'd be curious to know what Jalen Coker will find.
6:24I'll find out for you in a minute. What Jalen Coker's roster percentages on ESPN and Yahoo, cause he's 70% rostered on CBS.
6:31So a lot of the guys that we talk about here is shallow league guys.
6:35If you play on the other websites might be available.
6:38I'm not sleepers kind of in the same boat.
6:41CBS, I think has, you know, more 12 team leagues and deeper leagues.
6:45How much fab are we spending Jamie on some of your favorites?
6:48Well, I mean, if we're going to factor in Coker and golden and some of those guys, then it changes the conversation
6:55because those guys are, I don't want to say break the bank, but they're more than 50%.
7:00Uh, certainly in the case of Coker, as long as his ankles.
7:03Okay. In the case of the guys that we're going to talk about, probably not much, you know, so I would spend
7:10maybe 10 or 15% on, on Vela, maybe at most 10% on Douglas.
7:14Kalen black is probably a 10 or 15% guy, depending on if you have McCaffrey or not, if you need running backs.
7:20The one thing about this week is that's a little tricky for, for fantasy managers.
7:25And there's some people that have multiple guys in this scenario is wide receiver got really beat up.
7:30And we have two guys that are must starts when healthy that we don't know their status yet in Latin McConkie and Zay flowers.
7:37So you tack that onto AJ Brown and, uh, there's John Stribbling and, you know, Jacoby lane is two as three guys
7:44that are going to miss significant time. Brown, clearly the one that you have to replace from a must start standpoint.
7:50So receiver is probably the one position that you may have to spend a little bit more than you want to, just
7:56to make sure you get the guy that you need.
7:59And Vela would be that guy just because of his roster percentage at 7%.
8:03So you could get into a little bit of a bidding war there.
8:07Um, otherwise I think the, the, the most spent fab guys will be probably Carson Wentz.
8:12And maybe if he's available, Michael Penix and then, um, drew lock, because we know super flex leagues to find quarterbacks is
8:19tough and Darnold could miss multiple weeks. We don't know the situation with, uh, with Kyler Murray and maybe Wentz keeps the job all season.
8:26If, uh, if the Vikings like what he does in week two.
8:29So I think those are the probably players you spend the most on.
8:33And, you know, Dave mentioned the bucks. That's a great DST to get.
8:37There are other ones out there also that have good matchups.
8:40So remember when you're streaming, you know, you don't want to overpay for just one week, especially if you're on one, people
8:47get a little nervous and they panic. Um, but those are, you know, good units, you know, good, good fantasy options to, uh, to spend some money on.
8:55Okay. So Dave, any, I'm sorry. And before I move on, any thoughts from you on fab this week?
9:01I would go even lower than 10 to 15% on most of these guys.
9:05Just save it up. Okay. Now looking at some roster percentages on the other websites here, you know, Jalen Coker is 60%
9:12on Yahoo, about 50% on ESPN, about 70% on CBS, Jordan love on ESPN or on, on just on Yahoo.
9:17Jordan love, I think was like 45%. No, that was ESPN.
9:21Whatever. It doesn't matter. He's available in a lot of leagues.
9:24That could be a guy that could really help you.
9:27I mean, he just scored 23 fantasy points against Minnesota.
9:30He is 68% rostered on Yahoo, but not even 42% rostered on ESPN.
9:34So there are some shallow league guys that, uh, I guess, I guess it would be, um, Coker, maybe Jordan love.
9:40I don't know if there's a running back that fits that mold.
9:44Um, no, there really wasn't any in the shallow leagues for us.
9:47Yeah. Okay. Well anyway, uh, Packers offense looked pretty damn pass heavy and that's exciting.
9:52We'll see what happens though. If Josh Jacobs comes back at some point, uh, some news and notes for you.
9:58Deshaun Watson likely to start. We got the Kyler Murray concussion.
10:01We don't yet know who Atlanta's quarterback is going to be.
10:04It could be, I guess I would say any of the three of them against Carolina this week.
10:09Travion Henderson. Did he officially practice yesterday? They didn't have to have a practice report yet.
10:14So it was basically he's going to be out there is what the reports were prior to practice.
10:19So, um, we'll see what they list him as, but I believe variable said he has a chance to play this week.
10:26Yeah. Okay. And they're playing Pittsburgh this week. Isaiah Pacheco is going to be out several months after back surgery.
10:32Jordan Mason has a sore thumb. If there's ever somebody who mushed a player with you, it was just your auction strategy.
10:38That's all it was. It was, I'm going to, I'm going to spend, I'm going to let everybody know that I want Isaiah Pacheco.
10:46And then you, the, the, the tweet yesterday, the post on X from Ian Rappaport was there is a body in his back.
10:52And I was thinking, is it Adam? I didn't want Isaiah Pacheco.
10:56I wanted to be her Gibbs. Jordan Mason has a sore thumb.
10:59So Aaron Jones could be a must start this week at Chicago.
11:03If Jordan Mason's out a Buffalo running back, Ty Johnson was listed as limited in practice.
11:08They're playing Thursday against Detroit. We were curious to see what this would mean for James Cook's passing totals.
11:13He did not run a single route on third down in week one.
11:17Jeremiah Love apparently was not on a snap count, which is not super encouraging in the short term.
11:23He gets Seattle this week. Dylan Samson is going to be out for a while.
11:27And Raheem Sanders was basically the third down back for Cleveland.
11:30AJ Brown, IR could be out for six weeks.
11:33Zay Flowers. We have great news on Zay Flowers.
11:36Doesn't seem like it's a big deal with the hamstring, hopefully playing this week against the saints and Jacoby Lane on the
11:42other hand does have a broken wrist. Unfortunately, Lad McConkie.
11:45We're still waiting to hear he has injured ribs and Brian Thomas Jr.
11:49is expected to play this week. Jalen Coker did sprain his ankle.
11:52We don't have to mention that if you want to put in some fab and he said he sprained it in the first quarter, right?
12:00He was in a walking boot. He expects to play.
12:03You should be fine. So, you know, good stuff.
12:06Um, Deshaun Stribbling could be out four weeks. Omar Cooper Jr.
12:09left for the Jets. Brock Bowers is day to day.
12:12They're calling him day to day. So keep that in mind.
12:15If you are thinking about picking up or starting Michael Mayer this week, Chigo Conquo, hamstring injury.
12:20Um, you've got Detroit. How many, you know, how much attrition can they afford on their offensive line?
12:25Offensive guard, Christian Mahogany may not play this week.
12:28I don't think he's going to play this week on the short week against Buffalo.
12:33Um, and then Landon Dickerson on IR for the Eagles who didn't do great upfront.
12:37I think, um, Jacob gave a stat on beyond the box score yesterday that Saquon Barkley, all but one of his rushing
12:43yards were after contact or something like that. Yes.
12:46Yes. I saw that. That's crazy. It's tough. Yeah.
12:49So, um, Landon Dickerson being on IR is not a good thing for them.
12:53He's a fantastic guard for the Ash and gente can relate.
12:56Yeah, exactly. And then I'd say the big defensive news, we don't know about Aaron Donald status this week.
13:02Um, Kansas city cornerback monster to lane had an interception and then he left in the first quarter and the Texans have two linebackers who are hurt.
13:10One an inside linebacker, one an outside linebacker and the Cowboys actually not the worst news for them with Malik hooker and Damari and overshone.
13:17They're not going to play this week unless overshow makes a miraculous recovery, but they don't have super long-term injuries.
13:23And then the jets have two defensive backs were banged up facing the Packers this week.
13:28Uh, let's go to our top three players at each position.
13:31So we'll give you a little sneak peek of the waiver wire and then we'll go more in depth later.
13:37Jamie, who are our top three quarterbacks this week?
13:40Top three quarterbacks this week are Jacoby Brissett, Bryce Young and Malik Willis.
13:44So for Brissett, you kind of know what you're getting.
13:47Um, 19 plus fantasy points in 10 of 11 starts last season.
13:50Uh, just shy of 19 fantasy points in week one, 37 pass attempts.
13:54They're going to be in most games, either chasing points or having to throw.
13:58I know Jeremiah love is going to get better.
14:01And the run game I thought was, you know, significantly better than what we saw a year ago, but we know what this defense is.
14:08And I think we're going to get some better offensive showings against them than what will happen with the chargers.
14:14Bryce Young, six of his last nine games going back to last year, he scored 20 or more fantasy points.
14:20And that kind of coincides with when Jalen Coker got healthy.
14:23So you get Coker on the field. Hopefully he's going to be okay.
14:27Bryce Young may be a better fantasy quarterback than we were giving him credit for coming into the season.
14:33And if this defense is as bad as it looked in week one, we may get 30 plus pass attempts for him as well.
14:40So, uh, not a sneak, not a bad sneaky option there.
14:43If you want to stash them on your bench and look Malik Willis did not play well against the Raiders.
14:49That was going to be one of his easier opponents for the season.
14:53That said 39 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.
14:56He's going to give you those type of, he's going to give you the potential for those type of numbers on a weekly basis, certainly the yards.
15:04And so if he can cobble together two 20 and maybe one as opposed, or one-on-one or two 20, uh, and one
15:10without a turnover, uh, there's going to be some, some flaws in his game.
15:14Like Dave said, he's going to, you know, be under duress.
15:18He's not going to look good. The receiving core is still clearly a work in progress, but we love running quarterbacks.
15:24And so still the upside there for him, especially when they're chasing points so much like he's going to be doing.
15:30Okay. So again, it's Jacoby Brissette, Bryce Young, and Malik Willis.
15:33And I love Jamie pointing out that even in a, a, what we expect to be a rare win for the Cardinals.
15:40Maybe we're wrong. He still threw the ball so much.
15:43So that's very encouraging. And, um, you had a good game against Seattle last year.
15:47I don't know if Jamie mentioned that he did.
15:50And yeah, not only did he have a good game against Seattle last year, I think he scored the sixth most points
15:56of any quarterback against Seattle, including their playoff run.
15:59He scored the most fantasy points of any quarterback against Houston last year.
16:03He was just really good. Um, and then Bryce Young, man, I just can't, I can't shake it.
16:08He, he was so good that I'm wondering, you know, who to drop for him at, you know, which backup quarterback do
16:15I drop Bo Nix for Bryce Young? Uh, I mean, when we're talking backup quarterbacks, first off, check the buy week of
16:21your starter and see what is, is going on that week.
16:25Because if you like to match up for your backup or whoever's on the waiver wire, clearly that's the smartest thing to do.
16:31If you're dealing with, I think, a struggling starter, you know, so Justin Herbert, for example, I don't know who else like
16:38was, was a must-start guy that had a bad game that might be a little bit cause for panic just because her
16:44might not have his number one guy for a week or two.
16:48Um, then you might want to just take a chance on the quarterback with the most upside.
16:53And so, you know, if you're weighing Bryce Young versus Bo Nix, that's a, that's a fair comparison.
16:58So those would be the first things I would look for.
17:02Uh, I would much rather have Jordan Love than, than Bryce Young.
17:05But I think at this point, you could take a chance on Bryce Young over Bo Nix.
17:10Nix probably has a better season, but after week one, like there's reasons to be concerned and there's certainly reason to be encouraged by Young.
17:18When's his next tough matchup? Bryce Young. Look at his schedule and tell me when he's got a matchup where he's going to be under pressure.
17:25He's taking on a tough secondary. When, when do you see that?
17:29I think Philadelphia, I don't know what Cleveland is going to look like.
17:33They're week three, but Philadelphia is week six. Yeah.
17:35He also has early by week five. I do think part of the success that the Panthers had in week one had
17:42to do with the bears, not being able to get a lot of pressure on Bryce Young and their secondary.
17:48They have one great corner and their other corners got smashed.
17:51So I look at the schedule for Bryce Young and I'm encouraged.
17:55I just don't know when, when would I start Bryce Young in a one QB league and who am I going to start over?
18:02We talked about some of the names that were a little freaked out by, maybe you could pull it off there, but
18:08at least if you want to have the option, if you've got Justin Herbert, if you've got Drake may and you want
18:15to go and you want to pick up one of these quarterbacks and Bryce Young certainly should be an option just in
18:21case you want to have a plan B, if you get cold feet with plan A.
18:26Okay. Let's take a break here. Apex fuzzy just had the, or Fusey, whatever he said, had the best comment.
18:32Just don't carry a backup quarterback. Yeah. There's that.
18:35You could do that. Okay. We're going to take a break and come back.
18:39Dave's going to give us the top three running back priorities for you after this on fantasy football today.
18:44My companion for this summer season has been Z biotics.
18:47Let me tell you why just headed out to a concert at pier 17 how mouth.
18:52What a show I got home at 3am and I realized 8am tea time.
18:56What am I going to do? I got a big match.
19:00No worries at all. I took Z biotics the night before had a few drinks woke up the next day, like nothing happened.
19:06Got to that course at 7am warmed up and won my match.
19:10Z biotics pre-alcohol probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic.
19:14It was invented by PhD scientists to break down acetaldehyde, a by-product of drinking alcohol.

19:35No questions asked at disease biotics.com backslash FFT code FFT for 15% off your first order.
19:40We are back. All right, Dave, who are the top three running back priorities?
19:44I think Kalon Black makes sense as the top guy available just under our threshold.
19:4938% of CBS leagues. You'll find them available a little bit more often in those ESPN and Yahoo leagues.
19:54I would have Emmitt Johnson second. I don't really have a good third one.
19:59There's names like Devin Singletary, Taja Spears, Tyler Algier.
20:01Maybe if you want to go deeper, there's Katron Allen and Braylon Allen.
20:05Why not Tyler Algier? He had 17 carries. Because I don't know how that often that's going to be the case.
20:11I don't think it's going to stick. And so am I really going to start Tyler Algier anytime soon with the schedule that they've got?
20:19We've talked all off season about how tough their schedule is.
20:22Yeah, I, yeah, but so I would love to have Algier if I have Jeremiah love.
20:27Otherwise, he's going to take up a spot on my bench.
20:30I would almost think that Kalon Black is an upgrade.
20:33Here's a good anyway. I have Devin Singletary as my third favorite running back, but not married to it.
20:39Would you drop Jonathan Brooks for Kalon Black? Yes.
20:41I don't know. I don't know if I'm there.
20:44Dave, would you take a look at that avatar or whatever for Gabe or Eric?
20:48Eric! Okay. Jamie, you said you would drop Jonathan Brooks for Kalon?
20:52Yeah, I mean, I know it's one week and you don't want to panic after one week, but we're talking about the
20:58amount of work that they gave Kalon Black in their first game against the Rams.
21:03And he looked as good as he did. And then you have the, oh bleep, I won't say the word for you.
21:09Oh bleep, Christian McCaffrey gets hurt. I want that.
21:12Makes sense. Makes sense. Okay. So Kalon Black, Emmitt Johnson, Tyler Algier is a possibility.
21:17Tyler Algier is also the most rostered of all these guys.
21:20He's 65% rostered. If he were 66%, he'd be in a different discussion, I guess.
21:24Yes. And going back to the quarterbacks, for example, Tyler Suck is 66% rostered.
21:28Oh yeah, go get him. Tyler Algier, 42% rostered on ESPN and on Yahoo, Algier is 51% rostered.
21:34Okay. Wide receivers, Jamie, top three. Yeah, this is a lot of guys that you'll see in the column.
21:39I don't think we'll get to all of them today, but Vele would be the first one to go add just because of what he looked like.
21:47And again, going back to last season, 11.9 PPR points in now three of his last four games.
21:53We don't know when Jordan Tyson is going to be back.
21:56So I think Vele makes sense for what he looked like in week one against Detroit and going back to last year.
22:02Caleb Douglas, again, would be second for me. And a priority add just because the Dolphins receiving core right now is clearly
22:09a work in progress and we'll see how this goes.
22:12And then I have Trey Harris third, just because of the lad McConkie injury.
22:16You can put a Patriots guy here if you want.
22:19You could put a Texans guy here. You could put Trey Tucker still here.
22:23You know, there's just a lot of different options at wide receiver.
22:27Again, we'll show you the whole list if you want, but if McConkie's out, Harris is going to get a bigger role.
22:33And I think we'll see a much better chargers offense, especially taking on the Raiders this week.
22:38Dave, top three tight. It's a Devon Vele, Caleb Douglas, Trey Harris, or Jamie's top three waiver wire wide receivers.
22:44Before I get to tight ends, where do you have DeMario Douglas?
22:48Cause he he's in my top three for sure.
22:50Um, if, if I knew DeMario Douglas is going to have a better opportunity, uh, given the fact that the Patriots are
22:57so stubborn and still love Matt Collins. And I'm going to guess we're going to get a better Romeo Dobbs.
23:03Uh, Douglas is much further down the list. I would, I would, if, if I'm picking up and the way I wrote
23:09this in the column is I would love to see DeMario Douglas get more better, better targets, uh, little better opportunity.
23:16Um, Matt Collins has been just this, this guy that they love.
23:19He's one of these veterans that does all the right things.
23:22So, uh, Douglas is not the Patriots receiver. I would add first, if I need somebody from a floor standpoint.
23:28And let's put it this way. Let's say I needed a wide receiver to start this week.
23:33Cause you talked about it. Like there's a bunch of wide receivers that are banged up and people might be desperate or
23:40they're unhappy with, with the receivers that they had in their wide receivers.
23:44Three spot they lay is number one with a bullet.
23:47Douglas makes sense as the number two, but if we're, if we're trying to put a little, you're saying Caleb Douglas, not tomorrow.
23:54Oh yeah. Yes. I met Caleb Douglas. Thank you.
23:56Uh, it's early. Uh, tomorrow Douglas would be one of those receivers.
24:00I'd want to stash and see what happens for a week or two.
24:04And I think it's gotta be full PPR, but he's absolutely somebody that's on the list.
24:08Adam, I know you've talked in the past about like big opportunities for him, uh, last year when there was no Stefan digs on the field.
24:16I know that without AJ Brown on the field, he had the same target share as, as Matt Collins.
24:22It was 22%. Uh, in that quarter and a, and a half about, uh, against Seattle last week.
24:27And there've been good way back through training camp in, in new England.
24:31And I would imagine that he's still going to see a role.
24:34At least it's like a short area receiver, but he lost him a little bit more.
24:39And I don't, I can't rule out that he's not one of those guys that could be in the neighborhood of 11 PPR points.
24:46Yeah. I mean, that's what we're looking at here.
24:49Five catches for 20 yards. You'd expect more than 20 yards, but I feel like every year there's some period of time
24:56where we're excited about to Mario Douglas. But last year he had a 29.1% target per out run rate with when Stefan digs was not on the field.
25:04So they basically played the same position. So that wasn't really a good setup for pop Douglas.
25:09Now he doesn't have Stefan digs. Obviously doesn't have AJ Brown.
25:12I can certainly see the appeal, uh, but Dave, how about, you know, maybe Hunter Henry's on this list here.
25:18Who are your top three tight ends on the waiver wire?
25:21Uh, the only one that I really would care about would be Michael mayor.
25:25And that's under the assumption that Brock Bowers doesn't play.
25:28We don't know if that's going to happen. Um, I guess guys like Dalton Schultz, Pat Friermuth would make the list, but
25:35I'm not, I'm not too enthused about many tight ends.
25:38Jamie's got Schultz mayor Hunter Henry. I do think that you have to throw David Njoku in there right now with the McConkie injury.
25:45He's not far down low. Yeah. Yeah. So not, uh, not terrible options.
25:49I mean, mayor mayor was so disappointing in this game against Miami.
25:52Should we even go back to him? Again, seven targets on a, in a game where they're playing with a lead.
25:59We're not going to see that very often. I think for the Raiders now, depending on what you think of the chargers,
26:05that probably changes your mind a little bit, but his track record, small sample size going back to last year when Bowers has been out.
26:13And I'm happy that Kubiak said Bowers is day to day.
26:16I'm going to guess it's more week to week still.
26:19So I think mayor is, is a good short-term answer.
26:22I was encouraged by Dalton Schultz getting eight targets again against the bills defense that different personnel, but still very good against
26:28tight ends, at least in one game. So if he's going to continue to be second on the Texans and targets, it's
26:35going to be much like we saw last year.
26:37So for me, he's an easy add. If you need a tight end for this week, I'll give you one more.
26:44I'm going to look at a lot of bucks players in that matchup against Cleveland, but Kate Otten could potentially be low
26:50end lower than the guys that we've said, but maybe he can find the end zone.
26:55If you're really like streaming tight ends, looking for matchups, that's somebody that I'd look at.
27:00So before we get to DSTs and kickers and stuff, is there any player that you think might be a potential league
27:06winner on the waiver wire, or if that's too strong, then a put, you know, a must start a lot of times
27:13waiver wire, you're just looking for a guy that we can stream and good matchups, whatever must start guys rest of season.
27:19I'm not quite there with Valey, all those shallow guys, like the two that make the most sense to me are Coker
27:26and Shuck, but they're already rostered pretty highly in a lot of the leagues that we have at CBS.
27:31But if they're out there in your league, absolutely go and get them.
27:35They could be those guys. And obviously Kaylon Black has some huge contingency upside.
27:39What about Caleb Douglas? I don't, I don't think you need to be there yet or should be thinking that yet because
27:46as Chris Bell gets healthier, he could take a bigger target share and have a bigger opportunity.
27:51I think, you know, you heard me say there's plenty leading into week one, like Chris Bell was somebody I wanted to stash.
27:58Like you can easily pivot from Bell to Douglas now because Douglas was the one at the start of training camp to look awesome before Bell was cleared.
28:06Douglas looked awesome in week one. Douglas joined a pretty impressive list as you alluded to Adam with the Ricky wide receivers to have week one performances.
28:14So that's an easy move to make, but to say league winner now, it's probably a little bit too soon.
28:20And you might be rotating that Dolphins wide receiver on and off the waiver wire all year.
28:25I know he looked, he looked pretty good in the preseason.
28:28I agree. He looked good against the Raiders. I think he's, I think Caleb Douglas might just be a, a steal that
28:35we all thought was like, like kind of like stripling, but around later, you know, that we thought it was a reach, but he's actually a good player.
28:43You're not, you're not wrong. And you know, again, I trust his evaluations a lot.
28:48Pete Prisco said post draft, everybody's excited about Bell.
28:50I like Douglas better and you got a chance to see why, like the, the, the sideline catch that he had where
28:57it looked like it was out of bounds at first, he dragged his right toe as he's catching the ball.
29:03Like that, that's, that's a veteran play. You know, like you, you see type those types of things.
29:08Like he's going to, I think they have a good nucleus, you know?
29:12So when they get the quarterback, right, fix some offensive line stuff still, uh, they're going to be in a good spot.
29:18Right. Then the quarterback is part of the problem.
29:21That was not a good game for Malik Willis throwing downfield.
29:24And speaking of downfield, I don't love this for Caleb Douglas and it was only one game, but he did have a very high average route depth.
29:32So so did everybody for Miami, like even Malik Washington had a crazy high.
29:37Oh, okay. Okay. It's probably, or at least a dot.
29:39I'm not sure about route depth. Yeah. But that's somebody too.
29:43Like we, we talk about receivers that might be able to get you 10 PPR points.
29:47I think Malik Washington can still do that. Even if Caleb Douglas continues on the role that he's on.
29:53Do you think Jordan love and Matthew golden are potential must starts going forward?
29:57Who was the first name? Jordan love Jordan love.
30:00Oh, I mean, you know how I felt about this when Jacobs was, was injured Jordan love when he averages over 30
30:06past attempts per game, when he throws over 30 past attempts per game is typically a 23 point per game quarterback.
30:13That's what he averaged in his career. So if you give him those chances and you give him those opportunities, he's going to reward you.
30:20And so when Jacobs comes back, we don't know what that timeline is.
30:24That might change, but I thought Jordan love played really well.
30:27The interception was off a tip. His offensive line fell apart almost immediately after they took the points off the board.
30:33So take that into account. That's still a really good Minnesota defense that he was carving up to start the game.
30:40I don't know. I'm, I'm very encouraged. And we saw, didn't see the best of Jaden Reed.
30:45Didn't see the best of Tucker craft. We might've seen the best of Matthew golden and Christian Watson looks like a monster, you know?
30:52So like, this could be a really fun passing game.
30:55I'm not sure that this run game will ever be on track this year.
30:59And that's enough for me to certainly roster and have optimism for both love and golden.
31:04I don't know if I'm ready to say that either one will be a league winner.
31:08However, we talked a little bit on Sunday about the contingency upside with Valey.
31:13Let's mention that again, real quick Valey right now, clearly the number two wide receiver in new Orleans.
31:18We saw Chris Olave leave the field a bunch of times.
31:21We don't know when Jordan Tyson will be back.
31:24We don't know how effective Jordan Tyson will be or how long it will take him.
31:29So there's some huge contingency upside with Devon Valey.
31:31We know that Christian Watson is not exactly the man with perfect health.
31:35And if he were to miss time, who's the number one wide receiver for green Bay.
31:40So there's some huge contingency upside for a guy that just had double digit targets.
31:44So go, I think I'd probably lean closer to golden than love as being one of those league winner types that you're talking about.
31:51Acer. One last guy here for shallower leagues, or if you're playing a Yahoo, he's 49% rostered Debo Samuel had six catches for 48 yards and a touchdown.
32:00He also had a 12 yard carry. And is this a guy that's a massive priority?
32:04If you see him on the waiver wire Debo Samuel.
32:07Yeah. I mean, striplings out for probably a month, if not more.
32:11And Mike Evans was banged up a lot in camp.
32:14So we saw it last year with Debo. He got off to a great start with Washington, you know, and there's still
32:20the potential for him to be good. You take the touchdown away.
32:24It's not a great game, but you know, I think you see what the 49ers are again, another great offense as, as
32:30they continue to show in week one. So as long as Debo is healthy, I think he's going to be in play
32:37as at least a number three receiver. Yeah. He's me.
32:40And then Arizona next two weeks, he's given me like, uh, Keenan Allen vibes in the sense that he might, he might
32:46mess things up for George Kittle or Evans or something like that.
32:50He's, he's not a bad player and he's going to get his targets.
32:54That's, it's a lot of, that's a lot of mouse to feed in San Francisco.
32:58Thankfully, they're going to score a ton of points.
33:01Okay. So we've given you our top three at each of the four major positions here.
33:06We're going to give you DST kicker. Um, also going to recap last night's game, but right now it is time for coverage.
33:13You can count on sponsored by nationwide. Just like your fantasy roster is more than just your offensive starters.
33:18Nationwide is a great insurance company and one of America's largest financial services companies.
33:22So don't forget about the defensive side of the ball.
33:25And remember nationwide is on your side, Jamie, who's the DST that should be on our side this week.
33:31Yeah. Dave mentioned the bucks. I'm going to do, uh, I'm going to go a different route and I'm going to go to 49ers.
33:38Uh, Dave just said why, because they get the dolphins and the Cardinals and back-to-back weeks.
33:43And while the bucks matchup is absolutely amazing this week against Cleveland, you might have a starting DST for the rest of
33:49the season with what they just did against the Rams, knowing that it boasts us healthy Warner's healthy.
33:55Like that's a difference making group. And so if I can get them for the rest of the season, plus, Oh, Hey,
34:01they're taking on Malik Willis this week. And then I know that the Cardinals offense looked great, but Jacoby Brissett can at
34:08times as career as we've seen get turnover prone.
34:10So I'm going to take the 49ers from a short-term and long-term approach.
34:14And I think that's the DST you go target first.
34:17And the Niners DST is only 19% rostered. The bucks DST is only 12% rostered.
34:22So you do have some options there. And that was coverage.
34:25You can count on sponsored by Nationwide. Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company.
34:30They're one of America's largest financial companies to take your game to the next level with Nationwide for your insurance and financial needs.
34:37Nationwide is on your side. Nationwide Investment Services Corporation member FINRA, Columbus, Ohio.
34:41All right, Jamie, now the kickers who we got.
34:43Yeah, it's always a great week for kickers. So let me get the right list for you.
34:48So Cairo Santos, I think he's definitely in the conversation taking on the Vikings, Tyler loop taking on the saints, Tyler bass
34:55taking on the lions and trace Mac taking on the jets.
34:58Love it. Make those kicker moves. Yeah. A lot of extra points coming for Cairo Santos this season.
35:03Or just eliminate kickers from your league. I could do that too.
35:07We'll be right back on fantasy football today with the rest of the show.
35:11Be right back. A couple of quick stats for you here before we talk about shallow leagues and deep leagues, although I
35:18think we've covered much of the shallow leagues, watching the tape of the Packers running backs.
35:22Brooks' personal opinion was even the yards, even though the yards per carry didn't reflect it.
35:27I thought Lloyd ran better than Brooks, but neither guy was really able to break any tackles.
35:32And that was a huge issue for them. And I looked on true media and they were both given one avoided tackle.
35:39And if they broke a tackle, I'm pretty sure that would count as an avoided tackle.
35:43They were both given one. It's not a huge deal.
35:46You know, like Kyron Williams didn't have any, but, um, um, Marshawn Lloyd won and won for Chris Brooks.
35:52Kenneth Walker, how many avoided tackles was he credited with last night?
35:56What do you think? A billion, 14, 14, B.
35:58John Robinson, 10, Jameer Gibbs, 10, Saquon Barkley, seven was impressive.
36:02Um, Basial tootin seven, but 14 for Ken Walker, man, what a freaking game for him.
36:06Um, and we'll get to that in just a moment.
36:09Jamie, I think we covered the shallow leagues quite a bit with Jalen Coker and the Packers guys that we mentioned and, and, uh, Debo Samuel.
36:17Is there anyone I'm missing here? Jawan Johnson, uh, 76% roster.
36:20So right around the same as, as Matthew golden.
36:23I think if he's out there in a 10 team league, knowing that no Jordan Tyson, the fact that this team is
36:29going to throw the ball a lot and have some success, you know, you'd like to see more than three catches on
36:36seven targets, but touchdown catch was great. And he's going to be one of the go-to guys for, uh, for Kellen Moore and for Tyler shock.
36:44So he's an easy one. I'm trying to think anybody else.
36:47Um, the running backs really weren't anything exciting. So I think you're just looking at if you can find Jalen Coker, if
36:53you can find Matthew golden, if you can find Tyler shock, if you can find Jordan loves, like those are league winning type of guys.
37:01You like shocker love better. I like shock better, but they're both close.
37:05Like they were both close to my preseason rankings.
37:07Also, was this the highest scoring week one ever?
37:10I believe it was the highest scoring week one since like 2000, something like 10 plus years.
37:15So it's hard to find a deep, a matchup right now that looks like, Oh, you don't want to start guys against
37:22this, you know, this team, maybe Seattle. Um, but I'm sure there are going to be some, but I was pretty impressed with Baltimore.
37:29So I just, I want to see what new Orleans can do against the Ravens.
37:33I thought, you know, it was a little disappointing that the new Orleans took them so long to get going on Sunday
37:40against that lions defense that we thought would be kind of a layup.
37:43Baltimore played pretty well after the first drive against the Colts in the game of the week.
37:48And, uh, I'm not saying to sit them. I'm just saying it.
37:52I wouldn't be shocked if they took a step back in, uh, in week two Ravens looked pretty damn good defensively, but
37:59just, just kind of like on my radar defense, not a lot of defenses look good on Sunday.
38:04Let's just say that chiefs look great. I thought a lot of the offenses that didn't look good, especially early on where
38:10the offenses that weren't on the field during the preseason.
38:13And I wonder if that's going to be a talking point in about 10 months that all the lions got off to
38:20a slow start and the saints got off to a slow start.
38:23And those teams, I don't think they're off. Yeah.
38:26The Rams are obviously in that, but they never put their guys out there and boy, did, did Stafford take a while to even look remotely good?
38:34So there's, there's that. And I wonder if maybe now that a lot of these offenses have played a game, every offense has played a game.
38:42Some have played more than one because of the preseason.
38:45Um, I don't mean a whole game, you know what I mean?
38:48Like Denver, Denver got on the field during the preseason and they look great in the preseason.
38:53So I guess there's always the, the case of an offense that does through the preseason and then sucks when they go
39:00out and play in a real game. You had, you had a few defenses that were good last year that looked good.
39:06Week one Jaguars played a JV team. So take that into account, but their defense looked good.
39:11Um, the Patriots defense, you know, I know they lost the game and everybody's panicked about Drake may, but their defense still
39:18played well against the Seahawks and they should do well against the Steelers this week.
39:22Um, the 49ers give them credit for what they did to the Rams and two easy matchups coming up.
39:28And I think just one defense that's going to be dramatically different is the Bengals.
39:33And they looked really good against Tampa Bay, you know, four turnovers and, you know, really limited that passing game.
39:38I think Baker's going to bounce back in a big way, taking on his former team, but that defense could be one
39:45of the ones that we don't say that's a layup because I don't think that's going to be the case anymore.
39:51And I think if you just look at Bucky Irving's yards per carry and you're going, well, this run defense hasn't gotten any better.
39:58That's when we got to watch the tape because I thought Bucky Irving had one of the best games of any, but I haven't watched everything.
40:06Obviously I haven't watched that much, but of all the players I've seen, I thought Bucky Irving looked better than just about anyone.
40:13He was so good and they were getting in the backfield and he was just making a miss.
40:18So I actually curious to see what David Montgomery does this week.
40:22Cause I think Cincinnati's run defense, this guy who had what, like 18 carries for 60 yards or something like that.
40:28Dave Montgomery, 21st work in the passing game and I hated the fumble.
40:32What'd you say? The fumble. Loved his work in the passing game.
40:35Just hated the fumble. Um, yeah, but I think could be a tough matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
40:41Agreed. Yeah. Okay. Uh, Dave, what are we talking about?
40:44Tyler's shock and Jordan left. None of these guys are available in my league.
40:48Who are the deeply guys that we need to be looking at here at quarterback?
40:52I think the list starts and ends with Carson Wentz who's available in 99% of leagues.
40:57I'm sure you can make the case for Bryce young who's available in 78% of leagues.
41:02I think I'd rather have young than Wentz just because of the schedule coming up.
41:06And we don't know if Wentz is going to be the rest of season starter.
41:11I'm thinking more about those super flex leagues. And in those leagues, Bryce young's already rostered.
41:15And so it just goes back to what we were talking about earlier.
41:19Like how badly do you want to carry a second quarterback?
41:22And then if you that's, if you can't get your hands on Tyler shock, that's where young would make sense.
41:28Wentz makes sense. Malik Willis makes sense, but Willis is already rostered in too many leagues.
41:33The only running back that I think is where the darn, that's going to be available in a lot of leagues is Devin Singletary.
41:40And when I say worth a darn, I mean like seven PPR points, it's not a lot, but he's got a role
41:47as the passing downs guy for the New York giants.
41:50And if the game script goes wrong for the giants, you'll see him on the field more than scadaboo well into the
41:56second half, a couple of other names of running backs that you could stash Katron Allen got some playing time after Jacoby,
42:03Crosby, Jacory crossing merit had a fumble late against Philadelphia.
42:06You might want to stash him and just see what happens there.
42:09You mentioned Chris Brooks. Maybe that's about it. There, there aren't a lot of other running backs that I would look at
42:16and say, Oh, deeply go ahead and stash them wide receivers where I think we've got some, some rich deeply guys.
42:22And we talked about a lot of them already.
42:25Valey, of course, Demario Douglas is up there, Caleb Douglas, 28% rostered.
42:28So he would go ahead of Demario. And then we haven't talked about Kalief Raymond.
42:33I loved his role in this offense. I hated what it meant for Luther burden for Colson Loveland, for Romo duns.
42:39A, but this like small shifty underneath target check down guy for Caleb Williams on the occasions where Williams was pressured.
42:45I, I loved it for him and I don't know if it's sustainable.
42:49We don't want to believe that it's sustainable, but I wonder if he should be included in that group of wide receivers
42:56where yeah, maybe 10 PPR points per game is a possibility.
42:59It would have to be a deep league. He's 1% rostered on CBS.
43:03So he's available everywhere, but he's somebody in a shallow league.
43:06If you can't get your hands on some of these are a deeply rather, you can't get your hands on these other guys.
43:13Maybe you don't even put in the waiver claim for him, but you see him at the top of the free agent list on Thursday and Friday.
43:21You could potentially add them if PPR matters in your league.
43:24That's a Khalif Raymond. I honestly think everybody hates Raymond right now and a Kendrick Bourne is basically the, uh, the same
43:31player for Arizona as it is for Chicago. Right.
43:33Two guys that we're rooting hard against who might still get a lot of targets.
43:38I might even buy into Bourne a little bit more than, than Raymond, but both of them are serving that same role.
43:44You know, they, the bears, they, I'm sure they ran a lot of snaps in this game, but, um, 21, two wide
43:51receiver sets and Jada Walker played 14 snaps there.
43:53It ran seven routes, Luther bird in 13. Oh, do you keep in mind burden missed a lot of time in camp with the groin injury.
44:01Oh, do you say it was questionable going into the week, right?
44:05Like injury. Yeah. Like their, their numbers should get dramatically better.
44:08Right. Right. At least I hope they get dramatically better burdens more.
44:11So I'm a little worried about a doon say, not getting what it was like 50% of the routes, something like that.
44:18Yeah. He played 50% of the snaps. Basically. I think that's pretty injury related.
44:22I would, I would, I would hope have to think.
44:25Uh, okay. I got a couple more deeply guys just based on two things.
44:29One last night, Pat Bryant, you heard a lot about what he was doing in camp and I know it came at
44:36the expense of both Waddle and Sutton. So just keep that in mind, but still look decent at times.
44:41And then again, there's an injury and he scored a touchdown.
44:45Um, DeMarcus Robinson is a guy that the 49ers love 7% rostered right now.
44:49He's going to get an opportunity. He played a lot in that game and you have older receivers there.
44:54I know he's not young himself, but you have older receivers there.
44:58Also Denver 31, Kansas city 31, Denver 10. Whoops.
45:01Wishful thinking, I guess. Um, I saw a stat on ESPN that Patrick Mahomes ran faster in this game than he did at any point last season.
45:09Amazing. Modern medicine is really incredible. I mean, George Kittle back out on the field for week one, Patrick Mahomes doing that.
45:15And he only threw for 184 yards, 27 passes, but he had a very good fantasy game.
45:20Yeah. The, uh, the touchdown to walk the passing touchdown to Walker is, uh, was fun and you got lucky fantasy wise with that one.
45:28Yeah. I think the chief's offense, the chief's passing game was the same crap we've seen for the last two plus years,
45:34but they didn't need to do much. You know, they're very conservative and they just ran every ran all over the Broncos.
45:41Just a weird game. Uh, unpredictable, I guess I was what I'd say, but Jamie, I don't know if it's weird or unpredictable.
45:47So a little surprising that the Broncos forgot how to tackle for the, well, they forgot how to tackle.
45:53They, how many six, eight carries for JK Dobbins.
45:56Uh, how many targets for Jalen Waddle to three targets, one cat.
45:59I'm thinking about this more from Kansas city's perspective on offense.
46:03Like what was the whole thesis of why Kenneth Walker was a good pick in the first place?
46:08They wanted to run the ball more. And here was a game where they realized pretty early on that they'd be able to run the ball effectively.
46:16And so they just leaned into Walker like Seattle rarely did outside of the playoffs last year.
46:21And man, he, he looked fantastic. He did. Are we worried?
46:24Are we more worried about Rasheed Rice who had a touchdown, but two targets or Jalen Waddle?
46:29There were missed tackles on that touchdown too. I do not.
46:32I'm not encouraged by this passing game at all.
46:35And there's going to come there. There will come a game where Kenneth Walker isn't averaging seven and a half yards per
46:42carry and a defense will be able to make some tackles.
46:45And I don't know if this is going to be, if those will be times where this passing game will suddenly like,
46:51you know, rear its head and and, and be effective downfield.
46:55I think it's kind of the same sort of story, like you said, with the passing game.
47:00And so they better hope they run the ball well more weeks than not.
47:04So it's first game back for him off of a bad injury.
47:07It's still a very good pass defense for the Broncos.
47:10It was an amazing running attack for the chiefs.
47:13I don't think you should panic on rice yet.
47:16And now that you see how the chiefs may want to operate, which plays into Andy Reed's hands and patch from home's hands.
47:23And so they start to see more loaded fronts that opens things up a little bit more down the field.
47:29They need to get some better play from their receiving core, not named rushy rice.
47:33Xavier worthy did not look good again. I was surprised that there wasn't a little bit more Cyrus Allen, just to take
47:39some opportunities with it and a couple of shots down the field to take one Thornton.
47:44But again, you are playing one of the best pass defenses in the NFL.
47:48So on top of the score and game script, like they didn't have to, plus you had just a turnover fest for
47:55Bo Nix and a defense that could be awesome because there's a lot of young players there, but maybe played a little
48:01bit over its head as well in terms of the chiefs.
48:05So we could get a little bit more shootout potential from this team moving forward.
48:09So I wouldn't necessarily panic about them and I wouldn't panic about Waddle either.
48:13Like my guess is Sean Payton's going to look at this and say, that was fun.
48:18Congratulations, Davis. Well, that wasn't fun. Congratulations, Davis Webb.
48:21You had your opportunity and you blew it. And so he's going to take over play calling duties next.
48:26I don't think he's going to do it now.
48:29I would not be shocked if he does it now.
48:32Like that was awful. Like you can't go out there and say, I told my wife to draft Jalen Waddle in her fantasy league.
48:39And then the guy that you handed the play calling duties does not let Jalen Waddle touch the ball enough.
48:45He had a bad drop. Take that into account.
48:48Yeah, it could have been. This was supposed to be a weakness of the chiefs.
48:52And then you lose what could be their best corner for the majority of the game after an interception.
48:58And they don't give opportunities down the field. Bo Nix looked awful.
49:01Look, he, you know, fumbled a couple fumbles that didn't count.
49:05Uh, the interception was bad. So I think we're going to get a better Denver offense moving forward.
49:10That being said, there is a little bit concerned with Jalen Waddle because this is what we saw last year from this
49:16team was spreading the ball out and Evan Ingram looked decent and Pat Bryant looked decent and they're still got to get Corlin Sutton involved.
49:24It's not like he's going to also just continue to be a non-factor.
49:28So this was my fear about Jalen Waddle. I'm not panicked yet, but they have to just look better.
49:33Like this just looked absolutely awful. And so I talk it up to week one, bad team on the road.
49:39Great Kansas city performance across the board. Kansas city came after Bo Nix's head from the jump.
49:44Like their, their pass rush was all over the place and they really hammered the center.
49:49Like they were coming right at them through the a gaps.
49:52And that made it really, really hard on Bo Nix.
49:55And you better believe that Jacksonville next week. We'll probably try and emulate that.
49:59I thought Waddle still was fast. So it was elusive was separating.
50:03He was double teamed by my count twice. Uh, I, I think he's a great by low candidate because there are going
50:09to be people who are freaking out over this game.
50:12One counter to that one counter for Denver in general.
50:15Yeah. Cause I was, yeah, like they should bounce back.
50:18Jacksonville Rams 49ers chargers Seahawks. That's our next five games.
50:21It's not, it's not good, but maybe, maybe, um, maybe I'm wrong, but on paper, Jacksonville Rams 49ers chargers Seahawks.
50:27It's not a favorable schedule at all. Maybe now is not the time to buy low, but maybe, I don't know, just, just a counter.
50:35That's fine. The buy low window is going to be open until he has a huge game.
50:40I don't know if the huge game is going to come next week, but it's going to come soon.
50:45And the only matchup there that really scares me is the Seattle matchup.
50:49Cause we know he's going to get the Rams without miles Garrett.
50:53Yes. Okay. That's it for Denver 31 and Kansas city 10 moron who were worried about who was buying, who were selling.
50:59Moron is a good way to put it. Uh, tomorrow I can't blame the whole thing.
51:04It's not like, uh, Davis Webb was out there throwing passes.
51:07You know, it's obviously Bo Nix did not know, but you've had paid Manning out there throwing passes.
51:13That offensive line did him no favor. It's a, if you like, you know, you never want to just read body language
51:19or facial expressions, but that's a guy that used to calling plays and having success doing it.
51:24And he tried something different and he looked like he wanted to kill somebody.
51:28And, and then you make this huge investment in this receiver and you don't give him chances on a nationally televised game
51:35in a game where you're trailing the majority of it.
51:38Bo Nix, you know, maybe the ankle is still a problem.
51:41I don't think so. But you know, offensive line is as, as we alluded to was bad chiefs defense again, I think
51:48played maybe a little bit over its head, but it could be, could be great.
51:52You know, it's just spags again. So a lot of just different moving parts here.
51:56But to me, when I looked at Sean Payton and like just watching it and then like, it almost felt, you know,
52:03you know, you don't know what he's looking at when the cameras focus on him and he's just looking to his left, his right.
52:10Like it's like, it's like, he's just a death stare at Davis Webb.
52:14Like, what are you doing? I wouldn't want to work for Sean Payton.
52:18I'm just going to throw that out there. Let's get the drop-o meter out here.
52:22Zero to 10 on the drop-o meter. Josh Downs.
52:25Three. Yeah, I would say two. I want to see what Alec Pierce's wrist looks.
52:29Is this also the overreaction o-meter? Well, it could be, but you know, Josh Downs, he gets to chiefs in the Texans
52:36the next two weeks and he's, you know, he's got this Keenan Allen problem, but fair enough.
52:41Uh, Rashid Shahid. 11, 50 billion. Jonathan Brooks. Uh, two.
52:44Carnell Tate. Two. Three. Wondale Robinson. Three. Two. 10 and non PPR.
52:47Four and full PPR. How many of those guys would you drop for Jalen Coker?
52:52Josh Downs, Shahid, Jonathan Brooks, Carnell Tate, Wondale Robinson.
52:55Yeah. If they're the worst player on my team, they can all be cut for Coker.
52:59All right. Quarterback waiver wire. A lot of this will be repetitive, but just so we don't miss anything, check to see
53:06if Jordan Love and Tyler Shuck are available. Um, and then Jamie's waiver wire priority was Jacoby Brissett.
53:11Number one, not necessarily. This is kind of season long here.
53:14We're still going, not week by week. Jacoby Brissett, Bryce Young, Malik Willis, CJ Stroud, Carson Wentz.
53:19And, and, you know, look, you gotta be careful because in a two quarterback league, if you spend a lot of money,
53:26it's been a lot of fab on Carson Wentz.
53:29It's very possible that he makes one more start, but Jamie thinks there's a possibility that he could just play well enough and keep the job from Minnesota.
53:37Michael Penix Jr. It's gotta be sooner rather than later when he starts, when he becomes their starter.
53:42As soon as he's healthy, he's in there. And, you know, you want to put Tua in that spot in case two
53:49QB super flex league that he starts this week.
53:51Anybody's better than Cooper Rush. Yes. Uh, Drew Locke could get another one or two starts.
53:56They're at Arizona this week. He's definitely starting week two.
53:59Okay. Uh, at Arizona at Washington, the next two games, those are on paper good.
54:04Not necessarily from, yeah, they're good. should her Sanders is just, he's not on your list, but good speculate on Shadur Sanders running backs.
54:11The shallow league guys are Woody marks, Chris Rodriguez, and Zach Charbonnet.
54:14Charbonnet should be in an IR spot, but as far as Woody marks and Chris Rodriguez go, are they holds or they drops at this point?
54:22I wouldn't be dropping Woody marks after he played the same amount of snaps as David Montgomery.
54:27And I think you got to be encouraged that he ran well, you know, so he, you know, yards per carry was
54:34better than David Montgomery, different type of carries. And I still think there's a role for him in the passing game.
54:40Rodriguez, look, we'll see what goal line opportunities come his way.
54:43And this is one of those situations where Jacksonville's offense.
54:46I know everybody's excited about the bears. Jacksonville's office is going to be very good as well.
54:51I hope that's a huge surprise, but we just didn't see it.
54:55And bears getting all the headlines, see it to the same extent.
54:58Um, you want pieces of Jacksonville's offense and Rodriguez.
55:01If something happens to Tootin last year, there was a pretty strong sample size of 10 carries or more, 10 PPR points or more for Rodriguez.
55:08Almost, I think it was like five or six times that it happened.
55:12So he's not going to help you in the passing game.
55:16But when you get to those like Jordan Mason, JK Dobbins type of, you know, to Kory cross camera type of running backs, he's right in that mold.
55:24If he ever got the starting job, I think I'd rather have black than both of those guys.
55:29Oh, I agree. Yeah. But when we start talking about Emmett Johnson and Devin Singletary and all those other guys, I don't think I'm there.
55:37So maybe I'm at Johnson over, over Rodriguez. The caveat being, if I have Kenneth Walker, I absolutely have to have Emmett Johnson in the chat.
55:44Drop what he marks for Devon Valle. If that's the worst guy on your team to get a receiver because you're stuck.
55:51Yeah, for sure. All right. The running backs on the waiver wire, Kaylon black, 61% rostered in CBS leagues, Emmett Johnson, Tyler
55:57Algier, Christopher Brooks, and, uh, Devin Singletary. We'll see what happens with Najee Harris this week and what role he has, if
56:04he's active, but I don't think he's going to be the third down back.
56:08Kendry Miller, Katron Allen. And if you're watching on YouTube, you see the list, uh, starting with Jonah Coleman.
56:14So what I have in the column is a list of just handcuffs to stash.
56:18And so these are guys that aren't going to help you very much while the starter is healthy.
56:23But if the starter goes down, then you could have a league winner.
56:27So if you have a roster spot to play with, these are guys to go look for his lottery.
56:33I just don't know if I agree about Jonah Coleman anymore.
56:36I feel like RJ Harvey might be just the handcuff.
56:39He looked good. He looked better than he did at any point last year.
56:43I don't fully disagree with you. And Harvey did look good.
56:47Again, another, another thing that Sean Payton said was we didn't, we saw enough of him in the preseason.
56:52We don't need to see any more. Well, we didn't see him in week one.
56:57Like, yeah, right. Their run game was just so disjointed and not having any opportunity to get going.
57:02And then I, I thought on top of Harvey looking good, I thought Dobbins had some good runs too.
57:08They just didn't get enough. Yeah, of course he always does.
57:11Okay. So handcuffs are Jonah Coleman, Braylon Allen, tank Bigsby, Ray Davis, Brian Robinson, Jr.
57:15Samajay P Ryan and our Mari Di Mercado is, it's seemingly the number two running back for Dallas right now.
57:21Yeah. They, they signed Tyler Goodson, but I don't know if he's going to elevate over Di Mercado.
57:27Maybe he would see some playing time. If Javante Williams won a big survivor pool contest, drop candidates, Rashad white, disappointing.
57:33He just didn't really have much of a role.
57:35And then when they benched your Corey Krosky merit, he wasn't even the guy who it was Katron Allen, not Rashad white,
57:42Tajay Spears, Tyrone, Tracy, Dylan Sampson, Jordan James. These guys are drop candidates.
57:46If you need to make a move and just one more note on the Katron Allen thing, there were, I forgot how
57:52many, Oh, I have it right here. It's a court cross.
57:56Uh, you know, I just wanted to throw George Halani and Raheem Sanders in there in deep leagues.
58:01Halani could get you a goal line touchdown. Maybe Sanders could be the third down back.
58:06Uh, he's, he's worse than Halani, but I'm just saying names wide receiver.
58:10Oh, about that. I think I'm, you can make the case for Sanders over Halani.
58:14Uh, I'll take the guy who has a chance to score a touchdown on the better team.
58:19Isn't that a manual Wilson? I think it's a lot.
58:22It could be. It may be. It's manual Wilson.
58:25In week one. Uh, not, not exclusive. Listen, I think, I think you're in deep bleep if you're picking between George Halani
58:31and Raheem Sanders for a running back spot in fantasy.
58:34Yeah. All right. Wide receiver. Sanders is actually like an interesting prospect.
58:38Like, if I had to. The worst nickname in football.
58:41What? Rocket. That guy should not be called rocket.
58:43No, no, no. He should not. All right. Wide receivers.
58:46Wide receivers. We got Debo. We got Romeo Dobbs.
58:49If, if you could choose any Patriots wide receiver, including Dobbs is 79% rostered.
58:53Who would it be? I would still take a chance on Dobbs.
58:57I'll, I'll, uh, I don't really want any one of them.
59:00We got, uh, Josh. I think Douglas is my answer, but it's gotta be full PPR.
59:05Josh Downs and Jacoby Myers who are still pretty rostered.
59:08Um, but you know that if don't give up on them yet, and obviously Myers scored the touchdown, but only two targets
59:14and Matthew golden, we've been talking about. So our favorite wide receivers that are, are available in a lot of leagues are Devon Bailey, Caleb Douglas.
59:22Jamie likes Trey Harris. There's Mack Collins. Trey Tucker always has a chance.
59:26Like Trey Tucker's just an inconsistent player just because he didn't do much in week one.
59:30Doesn't mean he won't do much in, in week two at the chargers.
59:34Rashad Bateman. If Zay flowers miss his time, is that your favorite Ravens receiver, Jamie?
59:39Yes. And there's no Jacoby lane now too. So Bateman is going to get more opportunities.
59:44He ran a lot of routes just in getting targets.
59:46Khalil Shakir had a, you know, not that bad of a game.
59:50If you're just looking for some fantasy points, four catches for 50 yards on six targets and he gets Detroit on Thursday.
59:57You got Raymond Calif Raymond. You got Antonio Williams.
59:59Dave, what do we think about him? Only 29% route participation rate, but great debut for Antonio Williams, man, that is a
60:06wall that keeps me from being excited about him.
60:08But I thought he looked good on the targets that he had.
60:12I think he's a really talented receiver who can win in the slot, but they, they can use them anywhere.
60:18And I know that in college he was used everywhere.
60:21I just, I hate that they didn't use them enough.
60:24And so now you've got to ask yourself, what's his pathway to getting more playing time?
60:29I, I'm maybe it happens with Oconco out. They go to 11 receivers a little bit more or not 11, 11 personnel,
60:35three wide receivers, a little bit more. I, he's a stash, but I can't say he's going to be one of the
60:42best ads that you could pick up right now.
60:44You might even be able to, well, I don't know, maybe in like casually, someone will pick them up.
60:50I guess he's just a stash and that's it.
60:53Okay. Antonio, what I was going to say was maybe he doesn't even get picked up.
60:57And a week from now, we're talking about him as a better candidate to add because the commanders make a change.
61:04Kendrick Bourne is a 1% rostered and, and intriguing because they're just going to throw the ball a ton.
61:09Dontavian Wicks, you saw he had the long touchdown.
61:12That was a really bad coverage by Washington on that play for targets for Wicks, but he is the number two receiver
61:18for, well, Goddard, I guess, but Wicks is, you know, 15%.
61:22The bad coverage wasn't on the touchdown. It was on the deep ball.
61:25Oh, he didn't score in that play. I'm sorry.
61:28Right. No, his touchdown, but there's a lot of encouraging signs about the touchdown because that was timing with Jalen Ertz.
61:34Yeah. When Hertz read the right coverage through to a spot, Wicks was there.
61:39And if he's going to continue to be that number two receiver, then you can like him.
61:44I don't think there's a lot to be excited about.
61:47I don't know if I would trust him as anything more than a bi-week receiver.
61:51And then, yeah, I mean, I'm just going to read some names.
61:55I just don't think that I'm going to put in any bids for these guys or make any claims.
62:00I, my deepest league is 14 teams. Uh, add an eye, Mitch.
62:04I'm not saying they don't belong in the column, but there's just so many guys.
62:08Add an eye, Mitchell, Keenan Allen, Denzel Boston, Pat Bryant.
62:11I might consider him. Jalen Noel didn't play enough to Mark Robinson.
62:15Yeah. You had Xavier Hutchinson get six targets. I'd say to Mario Doug.
62:19I might take a chance to Mario Douglas over those guys.
62:22I don't know how you feel about. Sure. Did you get a chance to watch the jets offense?
62:27No. And I had that game on, but I wasn't really paying attention, but got it because I'd like, I'd like to know how Mitchell looked.
62:35And if he was, if, if he looked real good, like they were saying in the preseason, then I might be interested
62:41in, he'd be on that same list as Antonio Williams.
62:44Like I wouldn't be excited to Adam, but I, I think that there's definitely a chance that this offense throws downfield more than they have in the past.
62:53I think that's a good defense. And he's going to be there.
62:56And he's a good downfield receiver. All right. Let's get to the tight ends here.
63:01Jawan Johnson is the one shallow league tight end.
63:03Dalton Kincaid is 87% rostered. So every now and then you see one of those guys available in your league.
63:09Make sure you check, see if Dalton Kincaid's available.
63:12Um, Dalton Schultz, you'd rather have Jawan Johnson than Dalton Schultz.
63:15I assume, Jamie, 100%. Okay. And Kincaid. You'd rather have Johnson than Kincaid.
63:19I'd rather have Kincaid than Johnson, Kincaid, then Johnson, then Schultz.
63:22All right. We got Schultz. We got Michael Mayer who again, may or may not be the starting guy this week.
63:28You know, I see what you did there. I didn't, I didn't, uh, Hunter Henry and David Njoku.
63:34These guys are going to maybe take advantage of injuries.
63:37Pat Frymuth ran 74% of the routes and he ran 70% or more of the routes in three games last year.
63:43He had five or six targets in all three games, which isn't terrible.
63:47Uh, so Pat Frymuth had a nice role. Like, do you think Frymuth and Hawkinson could, could bounce back this year and actually be something?
63:54Or is this just a blip in week one?
63:57You know, when you look at McCarthy in Dallas, Ferguson had a good year.
64:01Schultz had a good year. You know, there's, there's been about a hundred targets for those guys.
64:06It wouldn't surprise me if Frymuth is sneaky, low end number one type tight end.
64:11Yep. Okay. And then you've got, what about Hawkinson?
64:13Look, there's not going to be many games where Jordan Addison gets two, two or three targets, whatever it was and no catches.
64:20So that's something I'd consider. Juwan Jennings was a non-factor also.
64:23So I don't think it's a bad play. You know, like if you're looking at it and this is what I struggled with.
64:30Frymuth, Hawkinson versus Sadiq and Ferguson, like a Sadiq continues to improve, you know, four targets, three catches had the Russian touchdown.
64:37There's so much more upside for him just based on his pedigree, but Hawkinson can get five or six targets and fall in the end zone.
64:44Frymuth again, just looking at situation, Michael Pittman really wasn't much of a factor like he could be moving forward.
64:50So it's just a matter of like what you're looking for when you're talking about a second tight end.
64:56If I need somebody to start this week, I'm probably going to link Frymuth or Hawkinson over the younger guys.
65:02And the younger guys like Sadiq, Terrence Ferguson, Brenton Strange, they're not Darren Waller.
65:06He's not young. Or is Gasicki, Gunnar Helm. Dave, when you look at Sadiq, Ferguson, that's Terrence.
65:11Brenton Strange, Darren Waller, Mike Gasicki, Gunnar Helm, anyone here that you want to just stash?
65:16Deep league stash would be Sadiq. Okay. Yeah, it's tough to roster two tight ends when one of them isn't really doing anything on a weekly basis.
65:24Weird that Noah Fant got eight targets. I think that one we're going to just kind of ignore.
65:29He only ran 18 routes, but Noah Fant had eight targets and a touchdown for the Saints.
65:34DSTs, 49ers, we love them. We love them. Tampa, Buccaneer Boulevard, we love them.
65:38Packers at the Jets, Panthers at Atlanta if Cooper Rush plays.
65:42What's the Chiefs roster ship? That's a great question.
65:44Let's see. Because they've got the Colts. That's not great, but after that, it's Miami and Las Vegas and then a bye.
65:5135%. Ooh. Add them to the list, but I don't think I like them better than the Bucs and the Niners, unless you're lazy.
65:58If you're lazy and you just want to get a defense that you can use for the next three weeks and not
66:04think about it, then the Chiefs would be it.
66:07Are you saying that was cringe about my, we love it thing?
66:11Because that was not cringe. Go watch the naked one.
66:14I don't know how many people get the reference.
66:16Yeah. It's a, what's his name? Randy Newman song.
66:19Batman with his kids and dog. Oh, that was cringe.
66:22That was cringe. My favorite Family Guy moments. Kickers were Cairo Santos, Tyler Loop, Tyler Bass, and Trey Smack.
66:27Drove in to the morning fog. All right. We'll see you later.
66:31Hey there, Rover. I'd like to hear the Fantasy Cops theme through that voice.
