Aaron Jones

PositiveRole11:42

The source projects Aaron Jones to receive 13-plus carries and three to four targets against the Bears, a significant increase from the typical 9-11 carries the Packers backfield has been splitting. With Jordan Mason out and the Bears defense not being strong, the source prefers Jones over Chuba Hubbard and notes Jones has a nose for the end zone when healthy. The source ranks Jones in the top 20 for the week.

Insight page
NegativeRole27:00

Aaron Jones is expected to be the early-downs back with DJ Dallas handling passing-down work, suggesting a split backfield role rather than a workhorse opportunity in Week 2.

Insight page

Alec Pierce

PositiveProjection28:40

Alec Pierce practiced in full after being limited last week, indicating he is healthy and available for Week 2.

Insight page
PositiveProjection70:28

Alec Pierce is preferred among Colts wide receivers because he has the potential for one big play, making him the better option over Josh Downs and Keenan Allen.

Insight page
PositiveRole70:28

Preferred over Josh Downs and Keenan Allen in the Colts passing game because of his big-play upside; Heath values his potential for explosive plays.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

NegativeProjection27:07

Alvin Kamara is expected to play in Week 2, clearing a major injury concern and making him available for fantasy lineups.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

NegativeProjection53:35

Amon-Ra St. Brown is not preferred over Devon Vele and Marshawn Lloyd in Week 2 flex scoring; the source ranks him below both players in PPR and standard formats.

Insight page

Anthony Firkser

NegativeRole46:06

Firkser is not recommended as a start; Schultz is preferred over Fannin this week.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

NegativeProjection63:42

Source does not want to start either Antonio Williams or Matt Collins, but if forced to choose one, would pick Hollins instead; indicates both are poor start options.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection7:11

The source projects Baker Mayfield as a top-10 fantasy quarterback against Cleveland; he averaged over 20 fantasy points per game at home last year despite a bad overall season, and the source expects the Buccaneers to have the ball a lot given Cleveland's defensive weakness (Trevor Lawrence just had four touchdowns against this defense). The revenge game narrative and home advantage support the upside.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection67:42

Bo Nix is a must-sit in week 2, indicating the source has low confidence in his performance this week.

Insight page

Brenton Strange

NegativeProjection67:38

Brenton Strange is characterized as touchdown-dependent, suggesting limited baseline production and high variance in fantasy value.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveInjury9:13

Brian Thomas Jr. has a shoulder injury but the source expects him to play. He was shadowed by Patrick Surtain in the prior matchup against Denver, but the source highlights his 57% start percentage as surprisingly low given his production, questioning what more he needs to do to crack starting lineups.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup10:00

The source identifies Brian Thomas Jr. as facing a challenging matchup against Denver's defense, which may be spooking fantasy players and contributing to his lower-than-expected start percentage despite strong week 1 performance.

Insight page
NegativeInjury29:08

Brian Thomas Jr. has a shoulder injury but is expected to play in Week 2, clearing a major concern for his availability.

Insight page
PositiveInjury29:45

Brian Thomas Jr. has a shoulder injury but is expected to play in Week 2.

Insight page
NegativeProjection51:12

Brian Thomas Jr. is not preferred over Devon Vele in Week 2 start-sit analysis.

Insight page
NegativeUsage65:04

Average route depth of 14.8 yards in Week 1 (14 routes) ranked second among 105 wide receivers with 10+ routes; source dislikes this metric, predicting boom-or-bust performance if trend continues. Source recommends sitting him in Week 2.

Insight page
PositiveInjury67:08

Brian Thomas Jr. has a shoulder injury and will likely be limited in week two. The source initially sounded the alarm on him but acknowledges he had a 24.1% target per route rate in week one, which was solid. However, the source is concerned about his highest average route depth in the NFL in week one (second-highest among 105 wide receivers), making him a risky play with the shoulder issue.

Insight page
NegativeRole67:31

Trevor Lawrence's downfield throwing ability could support Brian Thomas, but Thomas had the second-highest average route depth among 105 wide receivers in week one, which the source views as a concern for consistency.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeProjection29:18

Brock Bowers missed practice but the source is not ranking him yet for Week 2, suggesting uncertainty about his availability or role.

Insight page
NegativeInjury29:55

Brock Bowers mispracticed and is not expected to play in Week 2; the source is not ranking him yet and does not expect him to be available.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection69:26

Brock Purdy is preferred over Trevor Lawrence in a week 2 start-sit comparison.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeProjection52:45

Bryce Young is not preferred over Tyler Shuck in Week 2 start-sit analysis.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeRole27:13

Bucky Irving's upside depends on whether Sean Tucker is the goal-line back; if Tucker is not the goal-line back, Irving could have a great year, but if Tucker takes that role, Irving's production will be limited.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeRole44:47

Stroud is a sit recommendation for Week 2, likely due to matchup or early-season uncertainty.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection69:54

Caleb Williams is preferred over Trevor Lawrence in a week 2 start-sit comparison, indicating higher confidence in the Bears quarterback.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeMatchup20:57

Chase Brown had a good fantasy day against the Bucs, but the source attributes this more to the product of the Bengals offense being broken rather than the Bucs run defense being weak; the source thought the Bucs run defense was actually pretty good last week.

Insight page
PositiveRole44:51

Start Chase Brown; the source recommends him over other Texans running back options.

Insight page
PositiveProjection47:34

The source prefers Chase Brown over Ashton Gentty in Week 2 start-sit decision.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection51:09

Must-start wide receiver in Week 2 against the Ravens.

Insight page
PositiveProjection53:20

Chris Olave is the preferred start among a group including Parker Washington, Christian Watson, Travis Etienne, and Amon-Ra St. Brown in Week 2 flex decisions.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveUsage70:19

Chris Rodriguez had four of five snaps on third-and-one or third-and-two situations, indicating a goal-line/short-yardage role that could provide touchdown upside.

Insight page

Christian Watson

NegativeProjection53:20

Christian Watson is one of the two lowest-ranked players in a flex comparison group and is the preferred sit among Olave, Parker Washington, Watson, Travis Etienne, and Amon-Ra St. Brown in Week 2 half-PPR scoring.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeRole8:08

Chuba Hubbard is expected to be the lead running back for at least the short term, playing significantly more snaps than Jonathan Brooks, though the source notes Brooks will likely be eased back into the offense. The source is not a slam dunk on Chuba because Atlanta's quarterback situation is weak and the team is not expected to be very good, limiting upside despite favorable time-of-possession dynamics favoring Carolina.

Insight page
NegativeProjection12:18

The source ranks Chuba Hubbard similarly to Aaron Jones but prefers Jones for week 2 against the Bears, expecting both to have similar roles and production, though Jones has a better nose for the end zone.

Insight page

CJ Donaldson

NegativeRole52:17

CJ Donaldson played as a third-down back for Jacksonville in Week 1; the source hopes Alvin Kamara takes over that role in Week 2, suggesting Donaldson's role may be limited.

Insight page

Cooper Rush

NegativeDepth Chart26:58

Cooper Rush is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Falcons in week two.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveProjection63:31

Preferred start over DK Metcalf in Week 2 start/sit decision.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveInjury31:19

DeAndre Swift was limited with knee and ankle issues but is likely okay; the source expects him to be available if he is limited in practice.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

PositiveMatchup28:15

Dalton Schultz went from facing the most difficult tight end matchup last year to the easiest matchup this year, making him a good streaming option for Week 2. He had eight targets last week, though he only had five combined targets in two games without Nico Collins on 86 pass attempts.

Insight page
PositiveRole46:06

Schultz is the most borderline tight end one and very close to a start; he had a 22% target share last week, and the Bengals were the easiest matchup for tight ends last year, making him a strong play this week.

Insight page
NegativeProjection50:05

The source prefers Mark Andrews over Dalton Schultz in a start-sit decision, with the preference contingent on Zay Flowers' health status.

Insight page
NegativeRole64:01

Mentioned as a recently picked-up tight end option in the context of comparing alternatives to Travis Kelce; no specific ranking or projection provided.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeProjection43:03

The source is not sitting David Montgomery despite his lower ceiling compared to Tee Higgins this week. Montgomery is coming off a three-touchdown game but faces a Bengals run defense that looked really good last week. The source expects Montgomery to produce around 20 carries for 60 yards and may not score multiple touchdowns, though he could score one given his emotional connection to Cincinnati.

Insight page
PositiveRole44:51

Montgomery is a preferred start option; he had three catches last week and split third-down reps evenly, making him a solid flex play in PPR formats.

Insight page
PositiveProjection51:09

David Montgomery is the preferred start over Devon Vele in Week 2, though the matchup is close in PPR scoring.

Insight page

Demond Claiborne

NegativeRole11:42

With Jordan Mason out on IR with a thumb injury, the source expects DeMond Claiborne to work in a little bit but does not expect a significant change to the 49ers backfield split.

Insight page
NegativeValue26:56

The source spent 4% FAAB on DeMond Claiborne as a handcuff to Aaron Jones, noting he is one injury away from relevance given Jones's age, but the source does not expect immediate production and views him as a speculative add.

Insight page
NegativeRole27:56

DeMond Claiborne is available as a potential pickup following Jordan Mason's IR placement; the source spent approximately 4% of their draft capital on him but notes he has not yet been picked up.

Insight page

Derek Carr

NegativeRole47:04

Carr is not recommended as a start; Burrow is preferred over Carr this week.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveProjection50:22

Must-start running back in Week 2; the source explicitly recommends starting him.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeMatchup44:34

Metcalf is expected to draw Gonzalez in coverage this week, though the source notes that shadowing is inconsistent and Gonzalez did not shadow JSN last week.

Insight page
NegativeProjection63:31

Not preferred over DJ Moore in Week 2 start/sit decision.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection33:00

Drake May is a near must-start quarterback in Week 2 against Pittsburgh; at QB8, he is close to a must-start option.

Insight page
NegativeProjection52:35

Drake May is not preferred over Tyler Shuck in Week 2 start-sit analysis.

Insight page

Evan Engram

NegativeRole64:31

Ingram lined up in line on 21 of 32 snaps (66%), a significant shift from his 47% in-line rate over his previous two seasons; he was barely used in the slot (unlike Jalen Waddell) and caught his touchdown when lined up out wide. Being on the end of the line of scrimmage for two-thirds of snaps is typically unfavorable for tight end fantasy production, despite his solid week one performance.

Insight page
NegativeRole65:51

Lined up in line on 21 of 32 snaps (66% in-line rate), up from 47% in-line rate in previous two seasons; caught touchdown when lined up out wide. Different role from Jalen Waddle, who is being used heavily in slot.

Insight page
NegativeProjection69:08

Evan Engram is not ranked in the top 24 tight ends, indicating limited fantasy appeal in week 2.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeRole46:06

Kittle is not recommended as a start; Schultz is preferred over Kittle this week.

Insight page

Hunter Henry

PositiveProjection64:01

Source would start Hunter Henry over Travis Kelce; positioned as a preferred tight end option despite Kelce's Week 1 production.

Insight page

Isiah Pacheco

NegativeUsage62:12

Had 26 touches in Week 1 (career-high or near-record workload) but on a short week; source concerned about the high touch volume and questions whether Chiefs will try to get Rashee Rice more involved instead of continuing to lean on Pacheco.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeProjection26:06

Jamar Chase did not look like himself in week one and had a terrible week; the source expresses concern heading into week two against the Houston Texans defense.

Insight page
PositiveProjection31:09

Ja'Marr Chase is a starter in Week 2 against Houston; the source is starting him.

Insight page
PositiveRole40:55

The source expects everyone to start Jamar Chase this week; the source is not sitting him despite Chase coming off a knee injury suffered in camp. The source notes that if Stingley shadows Chase, Tee Higgins might have an easier path, but Chase remains a must-start.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup44:13

Chase is likely to draw Stingley in coverage, though shadowing is inconsistent; Stingley did not shadow Chase last week despite being a top receiver, making the matchup uncertain.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

NegativeUsage63:13

Source expresses concern about Gibbs receiving 29 carries in a single week, viewing that volume as unsustainable and potentially scary for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Jake Tonges

NegativeInjury29:15

Jake Tonjes is out for the season for the 49ers, removing him from fantasy consideration entirely.

Insight page
NegativeInjury29:52

Jake Tonjes is out for the season for the 49ers.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

NegativeProjection10:12

In PPR scoring, the source prefers Jalen Coker over Chuba Hubbard as a start this week, though health is a concern.

Insight page
PositiveProjection28:44

Jalen Coker was limited in practice but is expected to play in Week 2.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

PositiveProjection29:01

Jalen McMillan practiced in full, indicating he is healthy and available for Week 2.

Insight page

Jared Goff

NegativeProjection6:48

Ranked QB12 for the week; Lions are five-and-a-half-point underdogs against Bills after offensive line injuries (guards Christian Mahogany and tackle Blake Miller out). Point total downgraded slightly from opening.

Insight page
NegativeProjection42:42

The source has Jared Goff tied with Joe Burrow in projections, with the decision likely coming down to which Lions offensive linemen play tonight. When forced to choose between Goff and Burrow, the source goes with Burrow.

Insight page
PositiveProjection69:33

Jared Goff is preferred over Trevor Lawrence in a week 2 start-sit comparison.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveProjection47:43

The source prefers Javante Williams over Montgomery in Week 2 start-sit decision.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveProjection51:37

Jalen Waddle is preferred over Devon Vele in Week 2 start-sit analysis.

Insight page
PositiveRole65:27

Big role change in Week 1 with 65% slot rate, highest since rookie year (54% slot rate); previously averaged about 20% slot rate. Shift to slot represents significant usage change and potential upside.

Insight page
NegativeRole67:53

Jaylen Waddle is a number three receiver on the Dolphins, and the source begrudgingly starts him despite the Jaguars' strong run defense making the matchup challenging.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeProjection22:28

If forced to choose between the Steelers running backs against the Patriots, the source prefers Jalen Warren based on his passing game production in Week 1, though the source would still prefer to avoid the Steelers backfield entirely due to the Patriots' dominant run defense and expectation of a low-scoring game.

Insight page
NegativeRole45:02

Warren is comparable to Montgomery in start value; the source notes they are similar in appeal, with Montgomery slightly preferred in PPR and Warren in non-PPR formats.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeInjury6:48

Ranked QB12 alongside Jared Goff; apparently not healthy heading into the game. If able to start, the game could still be a shootout, but there's risk if you want to sit him due to health concerns.

Insight page
NegativeInjury25:49

Joe Burrow has shoulder soreness and was reported to have a brace on his shoulder; he says he will play but the source expresses concern about the Bengals' injury situation heading into a matchup against an angry Houston Texans defense.

Insight page
NegativeProjection31:09

Joe Burrow is a very borderline starter in Week 2 against Houston; the source is not quite there yet with him as a must-start option.

Insight page
PositiveRole47:04

Burrow is the preferred start over multiple alternatives; the source recommends starting Burrow over Knicks, Dart, and Stafford in Week 2.

Insight page
PositiveProjection47:21

The source ranks Burrow as the preferred start in multiple Week 2 quarterback matchups: Burrow over Knicks, Burrow over Dart, Burrow over Stafford, and Burrow over Jordan Love (though Love was noted as back-to-back with Burrow in preference).

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveProjection10:40

The source loves Jordan Love against the Jets, citing the Packers' new pass-heavy offensive approach (31.3% run rate, third-lowest in week 1) and Love's efficiency as an NFL quarterback. Love is ranked as a top 12 quarterback and the source would start him over Goff and Burrow; the Packers maintained a 71% pass rate even when leading in the first half.

Insight page
PositiveRole47:27

Love is the preferred start over Burrow in this matchup comparison, indicating strong Week 2 potential.

Insight page
PositiveProjection47:54

The source notes Jordan Love as back-to-back with Burrow in preference, indicating Love is a strong start option in Week 2, though Burrow is still preferred in a direct matchup.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeInjury11:42

Jordan Mason is out on IR with a thumb injury, which impacts the 49ers backfield and elevates Aaron Jones' role against the Bears.

Insight page
NegativeInjury26:51

Jordan Mason is on IR with a thumb injury, removing him from availability for Week 2 and opening the door for backup running back opportunities.

Insight page
NegativeInjury27:41

Jordan Mason is on IR with a thumb injury and will not be available for week two.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeUsage70:37

76% rostered; got open frequently but didn't receive enough targets in Week 1, limiting his fantasy production despite high snap involvement.

Insight page
NegativeUsage70:37

Josh Downs got open frequently in week one but didn't receive enough targets, and at 76% roster ownership, the source prefers to get away from Colts wide receivers in week 2.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection69:26

Justin Herbert is preferred over Bo Nix in a week 2 start-sit comparison.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveProjection29:12

Juwan Johnson missed practice with an illness but is expected to play in Week 2.

Insight page
PositiveInjury29:49

Juwan Johnson mispracticed with an illness but is expected to play in Week 2.

Insight page
PositiveProjection53:00

Juwan Johnson is the preferred tight end in the Ravens-Saints game, though the source notes it is close; he is preferred over Mark Andrews if Zay Flowers plays, and over Michael Mayer.

Insight page
NegativeRole64:01

Mentioned as a recently picked-up tight end option in the context of comparing alternatives to Travis Kelce; no specific ranking or projection provided.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeRole46:06

Pitts is not recommended as a start; Schultz is preferred over Pitts this week.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeInjury26:30

Kyler Murray is in the concussion protocol and will not start week two; Drew Locke is expected to start in his place.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection50:20

The source recommends starting Lamar Jackson in Week 2 against New Orleans.

Insight page
PositiveProjection50:22

Must-start quarterback in Week 2; the source explicitly recommends starting him.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveProjection10:40

The source lists Luther Burden at Minnesota as one of the players they love this week.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

PositiveUsage49:07

Mark Andrews showed significant role expansion in Week 1 with a 26.1% target per route run rate, much higher than any of the last three seasons; he also posted a 79.3% route participation rate in Week 1, up from less than 70% in each of the previous two seasons. However, his usage spike was heavily dependent on Zay Flowers' injury: in the first half when Flowers was healthy, Andrews had an 18.8% target per route run rate, but in the second half with Flowers out, he jumped to 42.9% target per route run rate. Jacoby Lane's injury also contributed to the increased targets.

Insight page
PositiveProjection50:32

The source previously discussed Mark Andrews favorably in Week 2 start-sit analysis, indicating a positive recommendation.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeProjection10:58

The source is more optimistic than most about Marshawn Lloyd having a better game against the Jets, noting the Packers' pass-heavy approach and weak Jets defense, though Lloyd's role remains unclear given the backfield split.

Insight page
PositiveProjection51:31

Marshawn Lloyd is preferred over Devon Vele in PPR scoring for Week 2.

Insight page
PositiveProjection53:35

Marshawn Lloyd is preferred over Devon Vele and Amon-Ra St. Brown in Week 2 flex scoring in standard formats.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeProjection20:24

The source is not excited to start Marvin Harrison in Week 2, citing concerns about the secondary and ongoing injuries the opponent is working through.

Insight page
PositiveProjection53:55

Marvin Harrison Jr. is preferred over Devon Vele in Week 2 flex start-sit analysis.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

NegativeRole47:04

Stafford is not recommended as a start; Burrow is preferred over Stafford this week.

Insight page
PositiveProjection52:55

Matthew Stafford is preferred over Tyler Shuck in Week 2 start-sit analysis.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

NegativeProjection53:15

Michael Mayer is not preferred over Juwan Johnson in Week 2 tight end start-sit analysis.

Insight page
PositiveProjection64:01

Source would start Michael Mayer over Travis Kelce; positioned as a preferred tight end option despite Kelce's Week 1 production.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeDepth Chart27:24

Michael Penix Jr. is not expected to be ready to play yet; the source will continue to monitor his status.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeInjury28:53

Michael Pittman was limited with a foot injury, but the source views this as a typical Wednesday limitation and not a serious concern for Week 2 availability.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeInjury27:45

Nico Collins has a hamstring injury and might miss Week 2; while the team doesn't think it's serious, Adam Schefter reports Week 2 is in jeopardy. Collins missed two games last year including a playoff game with hamstring issues, raising concern about his availability.

Insight page
PositiveRole44:47

If Nico plays, the source recommends starting him; his status is uncertain but if available, he is a preferred start option.

Insight page

Parker Washington

NegativeProjection8:57

Parker Washington is an easy start against Denver despite the Broncos' strong defense; he had a 19-point game against Denver last season and is coming off a strong game. He plays enough in the slot to avoid shadow coverage concerns from cornerbacks, and the source explicitly recommends starting him without hesitation.

Insight page
NegativeRole47:27

Washington is not recommended as a start; Higgins is preferred over Washington this week.

Insight page
PositiveRole65:30

The source states Parker Washington was great in week one and is the only player the source wants to trust in the Jacksonville offense. He was highlighted as a standout performer, with the source noting that while three other players caught touchdowns (not Brian Thomas Jr. or Travis Hunter), Washington's strong week one performance demonstrates his role in the offense.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

PositiveProjection64:23

Preferred tight end start over Ferguson in Week 2.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeProjection61:16

In top-12 QB conversation but ranked 15th overall; only 0.5 points separate him from Jordan Love at QB11; source prefers to avoid him this week due to Chiefs' run-heavy approach and expectation they'll play ahead, making him touchdown-dependent; ranked 15th-18th across analysts despite 25 fantasy points in Week 1.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeProjection61:45

Ranked 16th-18th across analysts; source has concerns about his top-end production ceiling; limited receiving-core upside due to Travis Kelce's dominance and the Chiefs' run-heavy offense; hopes he bounces back but expresses worry about his Week 1 performance.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

PositiveUsage50:45

Bateman was primarily a deep route runner in Week 1 without generating meaningful target opportunities; with Zay Flowers banged up, there may be some opportunity, but Bateman's role remains limited. Lamar Jackson was asked about Bateman yesterday, which the source notes is not encouraging given Flowers' injury.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveProjection63:39

Preferred start over Kyle Menongai in Week 2; source notes unless Swift is out, Stevenson is the choice. Also preferred over Montgomery and Scadaboo in separate start/sit comparisons.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeProjection22:13

The source does not want to start Rico Dowdle against the Patriots, citing the Patriots run defense as a dominant force when Milton Williams is on the field; the split between Dowdle and his backfield partner is not ideal, and the source would avoid starting either back if possible.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeInjury27:25

RJ Harvey was listed as out of practice with a hamstring issue and will be monitored heading into Week 2, creating uncertainty around his availability.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

NegativeInjury26:45

Sam Darnold has a glute issue and is expected to avoid IR but his status is uncertain heading into week two.

Insight page

Sean Tucker

NegativeRole27:13

Sean Tucker practiced in full and may be the goal-line back for the Buccaneers, which would limit Bucky Irving's upside; if Tucker is not the goal-line back, Irving could have a great year.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveProjection31:09

Tee Higgins is a starter in Week 2 against Houston; the source is starting her.

Insight page
PositiveProjection40:41

The source prefers Tee Higgins over David Montgomery in flex scoring formats (non-PPR, half-PPR, full PPR), citing a higher ceiling if things go right. Higgins is healthier than Chase and may have an easier path if Stingley shadows Chase instead. The source is not sitting Higgins despite her not scoring a touchdown last week.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup44:13

Higgins might have the easier path against Bengals cornerbacks; Stingley did not shadow Chase last week, and shadowing is inconsistent across the league, suggesting Higgins could see more favorable coverage.

Insight page
PositiveProjection47:24

The source prefers Higgins in start-sit decisions: Higgins over Parker Washington and Higgins over Jalen Waddell in Week 2 matchups.

Insight page

Tony Jones

NegativeMatchup68:00

Tony Jones Jr. faces a tough matchup against Jacksonville's run defense, which was third-best against running backs last year and strong in week one, making him a difficult start.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeProjection51:40

Travis Etienne is viewed as a top 24 running back but ranks among the least exciting top 24 backs; he may face a good Ravens defense in Week 2, though the Ravens did not perform well against the run in Week 1. The source compares Etienne to Jonathan Taylor similarly to how they view Bijan Robinson and Kenneth Walker—suggesting a less favorable matchup dynamic.

Insight page
NegativeProjection53:20

Travis Etienne is one of the two lowest-ranked players in a flex comparison group that includes Olave, Parker Washington, Christian Watson, and Amon-Ra St. Brown in Week 2 half-PPR scoring.

Insight page
PositiveProjection53:45

Travis Etienne is preferred over Devon Vele in Week 2 flex start-sit analysis.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

NegativeUsage61:52

Had a huge play in Week 1 that source views as fluky; Chiefs passed for less than 200 yards, suggesting Kelce may be touchdown-dependent going forward; source would start Michael Mayer and Hunter Henry over Kelce but wouldn't make a move to acquire them unless already rostered.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveProjection65:05

The source notes Trevor Lawrence scored 23.1+ fantasy points per game over Jacksonville's nine-game regular season winning streak (including the playoff game vs. Denver), averaging 33.7 points per game as a team during that stretch. He posted 37.2 fantasy points in week 16 at Denver last year. With Liam Cohen's offense, the source is very encouraged by Jacksonville's performance and believes Lawrence will perform at a high level again, though acknowledges ranking him slightly higher than warranted.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveProjection29:18

Trey McBride missed practice but it was listed as rest/back, and the source expects him to be just fine for Week 2.

Insight page
PositiveInjury29:55

Trey McBride mispracticed but is expected to be fine; the absence was listed as rest/back.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveRole10:58

The source notes that Jordan Love has a couple of wide receivers and Tucker Kraft that he trusts, supporting Love's elevated passing volume and efficiency against the Jets.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveProjection61:01

Ranked in top five by Heath and Dave despite a poor Week 1 performance (only five targets, one touchdown); still a must-start tight end despite the disappointing outing.

Insight page
PositiveProjection70:44

Tyler Warren is a tough start to get away from in week 2, despite a terrible game in week one, indicating the source still has confidence in his talent and role.

Insight page

Xavier Hutchinson

PositiveUsage28:05

Xavier Hutchinson either tied for the team lead or led the team in targets in both games without Nico Collins, establishing him as a primary receiving option when Collins is unavailable.

Insight page
PositiveRole62:21

Preferred over Romeo Dobbins in full PPR if Nico is out; source indicates Hutchinson has better upside in that scenario.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

NegativeProjection63:33

Source recommends sitting Xavier Worthy in Week 2; no specific reasoning provided in excerpt but positioned as a sit recommendation alongside other Chiefs pass catchers.

Insight page

1:08I recently took a trip to Memphis for the FFT draft-a-thon.
1:12While we were there, we also got to experience a little bit of what makes Memphis so special, including some of the food the city is famous for.
1:20We had Memphis style barbecue with pulled pork ribs and all the classic sides.
1:25It was an incredible trip, especially getting to spend time with everyone involved, enjoy some great local food, and support a cause
1:32that means so much to all of us. And while I was away enjoying the trip, my place back home was just sitting empty.
1:39It got me thinking. If you're going to be away anyway, why not put that space to use?
1:45While you're traveling or taking off for a long weekend, you could list your space on Airbnb and earn some extra cash while you're gone.
1:53And when big events come to your city, like a major game, concert, festival, or convention, travelers are looking for places to stay.
2:00Listing your space on Airbnb can be a way to welcome those visitors to your city while putting your space to work
2:07and earning some extra cash that you can put toward your next trip.
2:11Your home might be worth more than you think.
2:14Find out how much at airbnb.com slash host. This is fantasy football today from CBS sports.
2:19It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
2:24Welcome to the show. It is Thursday, September 17th.
2:26It is time to get into eight AFC home games for week two, and they would be Cincinnati at Houston, New Orleans at Baltimore, Pittsburgh at New England.
2:35Are we starting Drake May? Differing opinions there. Jacksonville at Denver.
2:39I hope you all remember what happened the last time Jacksonville went to Denver.
2:43The Colts are at the Chiefs. Green Bay is at the Jets.
2:47Raiders at Chargers. Philadelphia at Tennessee could be one of those old start-em-all, sit-em-all games.
2:51I'm Adam Azer. Hello, Heath Cummings. Good morning. Good morning, Adam Azer.
2:55Jamie, would you like to hear a great stat about the Jacksonville Jaguars?
2:59Not after you just disrespected the Titans, but sure.
3:02They have won—this is from CBS Sports, our research team—the Jaguars have won nine consecutive regular season games over that span.
3:09They have scored the most points per game in the NFL and allowed the fewest points per game in the NFL.
3:15They look great right now. It's funny because I think there's some sentiment that they're a Super Bowl team, which will have
3:22to be proven, but it's a pretty good stretch.
3:25And I think the AFC just looks so loaded right now at the top, with the Chiefs being back and the Bengals'
3:32defense looking good and Baltimore looking good. And, you know, now you've got Jacksonville in the mix.
3:37It's going to be fun. And they're underdogs on the road at Denver, two-and-a-half-point underdogs.
3:42Interesting. Hey, real quick, Heath. Got the game tonight.
3:45Bill's Lions are fired up for it here, but the Lions are going to be without two starting offensive linemen.
3:51Guard Christian Mahogany, tackle Blake Miller. Any concerns? Any downgrades?
3:54I haven't downgraded anybody. I think the Lions – well, that's not true.
3:58The Lions' point total went down just a little bit.
4:01They're now – I think they were four-point underdogs to start the week.
4:05They're now five-and-a-half-point underdogs. So that was a small downgrade.
4:08Jared Goff is tied with – for me at QB12 with Joe Burrow.
4:12And you'd love to say, you know, well, it's easy to just say Joe Burrow, but he also apparently isn't healthy.
4:19If you're able to start him, the game could still be a shootout.
4:23But if you get a little bit nervous and you want to sit him, there's options.
4:28Although there's not options on the waiver wire. You better have drafted two quarterbacks.
4:32And Mahogany barely played last week for what it's worth.
4:36And they struggled a little bit offensively. But he played, I think, 11 snaps.
4:40And I've got a real quick – I know this is a starter-sit episode, but I think I finally figured out the
4:47best way to do the fantasy playoffs, and I'd love to get a quick opinion.
4:52Oh, my gosh. Real quick. Not controversial. The answer is no.
4:5512-team league. Six teams make the playoffs. Top two teams get a bye, right?
4:59Standard stuff. You've got four teams left for the last two weeks of the season.
5:04Instead of matchups, all four teams play two weeks, and the highest-scoring team wins.
5:08So the two teams that have the best record don't play the second week?
5:13They don't play the first week. So you said all four teams play two weeks?
5:17Yeah, yeah. Week 15, those two teams have a bye.
5:21And teams three through six play head-to-head matchups, whatever.
5:23Then you've got a final four. Instead of having semifinals where the one plays the four or whatever, all four teams play
5:30for two weeks, and the two highest-scoring team in weeks 16 and 17 combined.
5:35So you want to play a head-to-head league for 14 weeks and then best ball in the playoffs.
5:40Why not just have a best ball league? It's not best ball.
5:44You still have to set a lineup. You're not just – it's not like if you make the wrong lineup decision, you're fine.
5:51Okay, so head-to-head, then points. Yeah, then points. This eliminates the randomness of, oh, I had this one bad week.
5:57You've got to go out – How many leagues do you commission?
6:01Four-ish? Okay. You should try it in one of them.
6:04And then when everybody quits the next year, you'll get your wish.
6:08You don't have as many leagues. All right. You know what?
6:12I'll move on. It's a starter-sit episode. I would love to know what people think about this.
6:17No, you should do it. Do it. You say these things all the time.
6:21Every year you come up with some idea to revolutionize fantasy football, and you never put it into action.
6:27Do it. See if people like it. I'll propose it in one of my leagues.
6:32I think it's still early enough to propose it.
6:35I think people get frustrated. They had this great team.
6:38They ran into a buzzsaw in the playoffs whenever they had a bad week.
6:42Just do it. Just stop talking about it. Just do it.
6:46All right. All right. Just do it. Leave comments in the chat.
6:49I'll check the comments after the show. I'd love to hear what you all think.
6:54Okay. What do we do about the Nico Collins injury?
6:57Should we be picking up Damond Claiborne for the Minnesota Vikings with Jordan Mason on IR?
7:02We're going to talk about that in a little bit.
7:05We'll talk about Lad McConkie and Zay Flowers. If you have Thursday night decisions, you might have to go with the Thursday night guys.
7:13But right now, let's get into players we love brought to you by Stitch Fix.
7:18If you're like me and clothes shopping isn't your thing, Stitch Fix has you covered.
7:22Get styled today at stitchfix.com slash football. Three players Jamie loves this week.
7:26Baker Mayfield against Cleveland Reveille. Chuba Hubbard at Atlanta and Parker Washington at Denver.
7:31Let's talk about Baker at Cleveland. Yeah, you get the revenge game narrative.
7:35I like the fact that he's at home. He averaged over 20 fantasy points per game at home last year despite it being a bad season for him.
7:44I thought Emeka Buka looked good. I thought Chris Godwin looked good.
7:47I just didn't think that they got the fantasy production that you were hoping for.
7:52And so if Baker does what he did early in the season last year in this game, which I think he will
7:59because I think they're going to have the ball a lot.
8:02You just saw Trevor Lawrence have four touchdowns against this defense.
8:06I think Baker could be a top 10 fantasy quarterback.
8:09Chuba's a little bit tougher to trust, but seems like he's going to be the lead running back for at least the short term.
8:16We'll see if it's for the long term. But played significantly more than Jonathan Brooks.
8:21My guess is they'll ease Brooks back into it.
8:24He's not a slam dunk. I was looking for somebody that I love that's not necessarily an easy start.
8:30And I think Chuba qualifies just because I don't think this Atlanta team is going to be very good with their quarterback situation being what it is.
8:38So, again, time of possession should favor the Panthers.
8:41Bryce Young carves them up annually in Atlanta, 4-1 in Atlanta in his career.
8:45And last two games that he's been there, he's just shy of, I think, 700 yards passing in the two games combined.
8:52So Chuba, I think, just gets opportunity to be a number two running back here.
8:57And then Parker Washington, I think there's some concern about the Denver defense being great, which it is.
9:03But Washington's start was part of his great run last year was a 19-point game against the Broncos last season.
9:09He's coming off a strong game. This one is an easy one.
9:13Just start him. Don't even think about it. Yep.
9:15And he plays enough in the slot. You don't have to worry about Sertan shadowing him if you have to worry about anybody with that.
9:23It's Brian Thomas Jr., which is pretty sure what happened last year.
9:27Brian Thomas Jr., who has a shoulder injury, by the way, but I think he should play.
9:32He was shadowed by Patrick Sertan for at least a good chunk of that game.
9:37If you're watching on YouTube, there's a number that just stands out to me that I can't wrap my head around.
9:44And it's the 57% start percentage. Like, what more does he have to do to crack your starting lineup?
9:50So when you look at that start percentage, you know, that's maybe just from last week.
9:55And people haven't set their lineups yet. What did you think?
9:58No, that usually would be a guy coming off a big game that had all this hype that had a strong finish would probably be in the 80s.
10:07And I would still say, okay, it's maybe a little low.
10:10I'm curious to see what it is. It's really correlated to the number at the bottom, which is the sports line rank because projections are low.
10:18Okay. All right. And, you know, maybe people are spooked by Denver.
10:22But, you know, again, that's more of a Brian Thomas Jr.
10:26issue, we think. We'll talk about that game in a little bit.
10:29Chuba Hubbard or Jalen Coker? Who's a better start?
10:32Oh, boy. PPR, I'd probably go Coker, but hopefully he's healthy.
10:36All right, Heath. Players you love this week. Jordan Love at the Jets.
10:40Aaron Jones against the Bears. And Luther Burden at Minnesota.
10:43Yeah, this looked like a new Packers offense in week one.
10:46They had a 31.3% run rate, which was third lowest in week one.
10:50They have been amongst the league leaders in that over the last couple of years.
10:55I don't believe that this Jets defense is anything to fear.
10:58I'm a little bit more optimistic, I think, than everybody else on Marshawn Lloyd having a little bit better game.
11:05It was funny. And that split looked a lot worse in the first half than it did for the whole game.
11:11But I still think this is a team that's going to have more success passing the ball than they are running the ball right now.
11:19And Love has been one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the NFL over the last couple of years.
11:25He just hasn't got to throw it. And now it looks like he's got a couple of wide receivers and Tucker Craft that he trusts.
11:33He's a top 12 quarterback. And I'd start him over Goff and Burrow, who we talked about earlier.
11:38I'm sorry. I may have missed it if you said it.
11:42Did you mention how pass-heavy they were in the first half when they were leading?
11:47No. Okay. 71% pass rate or something like that in the first half.
11:51It wasn't just because they were trailing or anything.
11:53They were leading for much of that game, the Packers, that is.
11:57Aaron Jones against the Bears with Jordan Mason on IR with a thumb injury.
12:02Yeah. And I think what we're probably going to see is maybe DeMond Claiborne work in just a little bit.
12:08I don't think we're going to see the same split, though.
12:11And the real problem in this backfield has been that both of these guys just get 9 to 11 carries and maybe they catch a pass or two.
12:20And it's hard to be a fantasy starter, although they both scored a touchdown last week.
12:25I think we get 13-plus carries from Aaron Jones in this game, probably three or four targets as well.
12:31We know how good the defense is that they're facing.
12:34They're not good. And so I think we could see Jones.
12:38Jones – I'd rather start Jones than Chuba Hubbard.
12:40I think they'll have a similar role, and I think what Hubbard did last week might be similar to what Jones does,
12:47although Jones has that nose for the end zone when he's healthy.
12:51Jamie, how about you, Hubbard or Aaron Jones? Jones, yeah.
12:54I think it's an old ranking pre-Jordan Mason injury.
12:57He's in the top 20 for me, I think, right around where Heath has him as well.
13:02One of my favorite stats – so he's played the Bears 17 times in his career, and that's factoring in some games
13:09where he left early and wasn't the full-time guy or wasn't the dominant running back for the Packers.
13:15So 17 times he's played the Bears in his career.
13:18He's hit 10 PPR points or more than 14 of them, and he averages 14.8 PPR points against them in his career with seven huge spike games.
13:26It's been like just massive games against Chicago. He loves facing this team.
13:30Just different versions of this team, too, obviously, because he's seen them at sometimes their strength defensively.
13:36It's just funny how it lines up that Jordan Mason misses the Bears game and here's Aaron Jones once again.
13:42Maybe his final two times that he's going to play this team should be fun for Aaron Jones.
13:48Yeah, he's a top 20 running back. I would take him over, Hubbard.
13:52Okay. And Luther Burden at Minnesota. So Ben Johnson, by the way, with the Lions going up against Brian Flores was amazing.
13:59I mean, he just killed Brian Flores last year with the Bears.
14:02Not quite as much success, but there's plenty of good history there.
14:06Six times, I believe, they've faced off as coordinators or play callers, let's say.
14:10So you like Luther Burden to bounce back this week, Heath?
14:14Yeah, I pretty much left Colston Loveland and Luther Burden in the same place that I had them ranked last week.
14:20And it's funny because you mentioned it. Ben Johnson's had a ton of success against this defense.
14:26We generally think of the Vikings as a defense.
14:29You might have to avoid for some positions. No defense gave up more points to wide receivers in week one than the Minnesota Vikings.
14:36I think there will probably be some big plays.
14:39I'm not sure Roma Dunze is 100% healthy yet.
14:42Expect both Luther Burden and Colston Loveland to bounce back, but nobody's questioning starting Loveland.
14:46People are questioning starting Burden. You should start him.
14:49Do you think Oduense is still a sit? I would still sit Roma Dunze.
14:54But if he is a full participant in practice later in the week, I didn't even see what his practice designation was yesterday, I'm assuming.
15:01Then I'd be more encouraged as a number three.
15:04Yeah, that's interesting. I didn't see that one either.
15:07He was... I think he's in full. He was full?
15:10Okay. I don't even see an update here. That seems like one there would have been an update on.
15:16Yeah. Okay. So, Jamie loves Baker Mayfield, Chuba Hubbard, Parker Washington.
15:20Heath says Jordan Love, Aaron Jones, Luther Burden. Thank you to Stitch Fix for sponsoring today's Players We Love.
15:25Stitch Fix takes the hassle out of clothes shopping.
15:28Just take a quick style quiz. Share your size, your vibe, and your budget, and you'll be matched with a real human
15:35stylist who will send you a first fix with clothes that fit and make sense for your life.
15:41Stop shopping and get styled today at stitchfix.com slash football.
15:44That is stitchfix.com slash football. Please check it out.
15:47It's really awesome. I think you're going to like it a lot.
15:51Players to avoid. Heath says Harold Fannin Jr. at Tampa Bay.
15:54Basil Tootin at Denver. And interesting, that Ken Walker performance.
15:57And Josh Downs at Kansas City on Sunday night.
16:00So, we got Fannin, Tootin, Downs. And you could kind of just like use these guys to as placeholders for a group.
16:07I'd say Harold Fannin and Kyle Pitts. Not with this quarterback.
16:10But I don't want to drop them. I think there's a decent chance that we get Shadur Sanders starting at home next week against the Carolina Panthers defense.
16:19And I'm telling you to start Harold Fannin. But I don't want to start.
16:23Sean Watson's had a lower tight end rate of target than the other quarterbacks around him since he got to Cleveland.
16:30That continued last week. Fannin was complete afterthought in this offense.
16:33Like I said, I don't want to drop him yet.
16:36But I don't want to start him. Tootin, I think, I'm glad you said it's funny after what Ken Walker did.
16:43We've seen zero evidence that Fannin is Ken Walker or anything close, anything close to Ken Walker.
16:48And I would just say that this is where I'm the outlier this week is Parker Washington's pretty much the only Jacksonville
16:55player that I want to start against Denver. Yes, Jacksonville killed them last week.
17:00They couldn't stop the run last week. I think Denver at home is going to make a statement this week.
17:06And I don't expect a high scoring game for Jacksonville.
17:09Kansas City killed them last week. Ken Walker killed them last week.
17:13Right. Ken Walker did. And I mean, the wide receivers did basically nothing.
17:17Jack Jacksonville also killed Denver last year. I said that part for sure.
17:21I think you said Jacksonville killed them last week.
17:24Yes. So Kansas City killed them last year. I said two.
17:27All right. I'm sorry. Sorry. I just said last week twice.
17:31I could be mistaken. OK, whatever it was. You definitely said Jacksonville.
17:34I know what you meant. I was trying to clarify.
17:37We know you meant. OK. So, yeah, I think I mean, I'm excited to talk about Trevor Lawrence because you guys are
17:44very different on the rankings of Trevor Lawrence. Tootin.
17:47Jamie, do you agree about sitting Tootin? I guess you have him pretty similarly ranked.
17:52I had Tootin as a top 24 guy before the Vikings news.
17:56So Aaron Jones moved ahead of him. So I think he's a low end number two running back.
18:01Look, it's a good week for the position. I did think that Tootin ran well last week.
18:07You know, the 22 yard catch is something that's hard to expect.
18:10If Allen is healthy, you know, their third down back.
18:13But I expect this to be an offensive game for the game where the Jaguars offense does perform well.
18:19I just don't think Denver's defense is going to be as dominant as it was a year ago, especially with Cooper out.
18:26So when Cooper's back, that may change some things.
18:29But for right now, I think just Axel's offense is clicking and Tootin is a high end flex or a low end number two running back.
18:37So I'm not scared of him because of Denver's defense, certainly after what we saw last week.
18:43Also, you know, we didn't really notice this because it wasn't at the goal line, but the Jaguars had five third down
18:49and one or two situations, third and one or third and two.
18:53Chris Rodriguez was in on four of them and Basil Tootin was in on one of them.
18:58So that's still a big concern here for Basil Tootin, that whole trap back scenario.
19:03Heath, the last guy you had is Josh Downs at Kansas City.
19:07Would you extend that to Alec Pierce as well?
19:10Yes, I have Alec Pierce ranked the highest of the Colts wide receivers, but it's just because of his ability to score on one play.
19:18I think if you're going to throw a dart on the Colts wide receivers, just hope that Alec Pierce catches one long pass.
19:25I don't think that there anybody in this offense in the passing game is going to have sustained success.
19:31Mansoor Delane, rookie cornerback for the Chiefs first round pick.
19:34He is expected to play this week. I'm glad the Chiefs are back on primetime.
19:39We don't get enough of the Chiefs on primetime.
19:41Right. I think the Giants have two in a row, though.
19:45Yeah, there's only two teams that get Sunday night and Monday night to start the year.
19:50Giants and Chiefs. Here we go. All right, Jamie, your three to sit are Quinchon Judkins at Tampa Bay, Rico Dowdle at
19:57New England, Marvin Harrison Jr., and his three targets last week against Seattle.
20:01Yeah, we can start there. He actually played well against the Seahawks in two games last season.
20:06But now if there's Kendrick Bourne is really going to be in the mix and a fixture in this offense, it's obviously a new coach.
20:14I think you want to give Marvin Harrison another week if you can to see if you want to start him just
20:21given the fact that this is still a really good defense.
20:24We'll find out just with the secondary and some of the injuries that they're still working through.
20:30But I'm just not excited to start Marvin Harrison right now, nor is anybody else.
20:34Understandably so. For the two running backs, I think you look at Judkins.
20:38Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully with Dylan Sampson out, they use him a little bit more in the passing game.
20:44That does not seem to be the expectation because of either Raheem Sanders or the addition of Dylan McLaughlin.
20:50But you got to hope a little bit. And I think this is going to be one of those situations where I
20:57thought the Bucs run defense was actually pretty good last week.
21:00I know Chase Brown had a good fantasy day, but that's more because I think the product of that offense, this just
21:07feels like a broken team at this point. And I don't know how much you want to buy into it.
21:13So it's not like I'm far off from saying he's a starter.
21:17I think you use him as a flex. He's obviously better in non-PPR than he is in PPR.
21:23He really just needs to score a touchdown. I don't think he's going to get a big, he's going to have a
21:30big day running the ball in terms of his yards.
21:33And then in the case of Rico Dowdle, we know what this Patriots run defense has been whenever Milton Williams on the field.
21:40The split is not ideal to see both these guys getting touches.
21:44I just don't want to start either one if I can avoid it.
21:48If I have to pick one, I'm going to go with Jalen Warren just based on what he did in the passing game last week.
21:56So I would like to avoid the Steelers backfield if I can, just because the Patriots run defense still very much a dominant force.
22:03And I think it's going to be a very low scoring game.
22:07All right, we're going to take a break here.
22:10I just want to promote CBS Sports HQ because CBS Sports HQ deserves it.
22:14Okay. It's on your CBS Sports app. You can watch it for free.
22:18It's 24 seven streaming sports coverage. And, you know, I know a lot of people listen to the show are our age
22:25in your late, late twenties to early sixties, maybe.
22:28But a lot of you are like, you know, grew up watching great sports center shows and kind of fell in love with sports and that's gone, right?
22:36We don't get that kind of sports coverage anymore unless you're watching CBS Sports HQ.
22:41It's how it's supposed to be. Okay. We're not going to spend 30 minutes talking about the Cowboys.
22:47All right. It's great coverage of like every major sport and there's fantasy angles on it.
22:52There's gambling, all that. Please watch CBS Sports HQ.
22:55If you're a sports fan, you will not regret it.
22:58All right. We'll be right back with the news updates here.
23:01How worried are we about Joe Burrow? And then we'll get into the games after this.
23:06My companion for this summer season has been Z-Biotics.

25:49Let's see the news and notes quickly here. Joe Burrow has soreness.
25:53I saw a tweet that maybe he had a brace on his shoulder.
25:57Is anyone concerned about that? Or is that just the internet getting the best of me?
26:02I don't like the fact that all of the Bengals are kind of hurt already again.
26:07Yeah, I mean my personal opinion is that Jamar Chase did not really look like Jamar Chase in week one.
26:14Right. I don't know if I'm right about that.
26:16But he just didn't obviously had a terrible week.
26:19So yeah, it's annoying. And they're facing an angry Houston Texans defense that is a little injured.
26:24But Joe Burrow, we're going to preview that game.
26:27But there's Joe Burrow. He says he's going to play.
26:30Kyler Murray's in the concussion protocol. Drew Locke is going to start this week.
26:35Sam Darnold has a glute issue. Hopefully going to avoid IR.
26:38Cooper Rush, right now, looks like he's going to be the quarterback for the Falcons this week.
26:44Two it in practice. Michael Panikas Jr. Don't think he's ready yet.
26:47But we'll keep an eye on that. We know that's a huge one.
26:51Jordan Mason on IR with a thumb injury. Did anybody want to pick up DeMond Claiborne?
26:56Not yet. Deep release. I thought you spent a little too much fat.
27:00I did. I spent. Like a 4% guy. But he's one injury away for like a 31-year-old or whatever.
27:06However old Aaron Jones is from being pretty relevant.
27:09From sharing with DJ Dallas. Yeah. I don't think so.
27:12I don't take DJ. Like, yes, sharing. But being the preferred.
27:16Like maybe just being the early downs back and DJ Dallas being the passing downs back.
27:21The passing downs back. Yeah, I agree. But that's fine.
27:24Or a trade happening. Alvin Kamara expected to play this week.
27:27Travion Henderson practiced in full. We'll preview that game.
27:30Sean Tucker practiced in full. And, you know, look.
27:33We still don't know. That's the big question right now for Bucky Irving.
27:37If Sean Tucker's the goal line back, it'd be very annoying.
27:41If he's not, probably going to be a great year for Bucky Irving.
27:45RJ Harvey. They didn't officially practice because they had the Monday night game.
27:49But Harvey was listed as out of practice with a hamstring issue.
27:52We'll keep an eye on that. Two wide receivers that right now we don't know.
27:57Lad McConkie and Zay Flowers. They both missed practice.
28:00Based on the rankings, you guys are more optimistic about Zay Flowers playing this week.
28:05Because he is ranked. And Lad McConkie is not.
28:07In for week two. As of now. And Nico Collins has a hamstring injury.
28:12And he really might miss this week's game. Apparently they don't think it's serious.
28:16But week two is in jeopardy according to Adam Schefter.
28:19Go ahead. The strangest report that I've seen. They don't think it's serious.
28:23And they immediately wanted him to see a doctor.
28:26Yeah, I don't like that. He had to go get testing Nico Collins for the hamstring.
28:31He missed two games last year. One of them was a playoff game.
28:35Xavier Hutchinson either tied for the team lead or just led the team in targets.
28:40And in both games. Is there a Jays Heath?
28:43Is there a Texans receiver or tight end that you think should be added?
28:47I mean, Dalton Schultz should already be rostered. And Dalton Schultz is a good streaming option this week if you need him.
28:54He went from maybe the most difficult matchup against tight ends last year to definitely the easiest matchup against tight ends last year.
29:01Very strange. And this is probably just a fluke.
29:04But I feel like I have to mention it.
29:07He had five combined targets in those two games on 86 pass attempts for CJ Stroud in two games without Nico Collins.
29:14But I think, yeah, look at the more recent trends.
29:17He had eight targets last week, Dalton Schultz. Alec Pierce practiced in full, which is great because he was limited last week.
29:24Jalen Coker was limited. We expect him to play.
29:27Cooper Cup was limited. And Torrey Horton practiced in full.
29:30Maybe we'll see him this week at Arizona. Michael Pittman limited with a foot injury.
29:34A lot of guys are going to be limited on Wednesdays.
29:38That's probably just one of those whatever situations for Pittman.
29:41Jalen McMillan practiced in full. Dejan Stripling expected to miss about 10 weeks.
29:45And Brian Thomas Jr. has a shoulder injury, but he should play.
29:49Juwan Johnson mispracticed with an illness. He should play.
29:52Jake Tonjes, unfortunately, out for the season for the 49ers.
29:55Brock Bowers and Trey McBride both mispracticed. McBride should be just fine.
29:58It was listed as rest slash back. Brock Bowers, on the other hand, not ranking him yet, right?
30:04Nope. No, we don't expect him to play. Okay, we're not expecting Bowers at this moment.
30:09What was I going to say? You love my playoff idea?
30:13No, I don't dislike your playoff idea. I just want to see you actually do one of these things that you talk about all the time.
30:21Me too. I have this wonderful idea that you never do.
30:24It's hard to implement. It's your league. Do it.
30:27So, any major injuries on defense that we need to know about?
30:31We got a couple of big players for the Eagles that mispractice.
30:34Cooper DeGene, who expects to play, and Jalen Carter.
30:37The Seahawks might get safety Nicky Manwari back. Chargers defensive tackle Thierry Tartt mispracticed, and defensive back Elijah Molden mispracticed.
30:43A.J. Terrell for the Falcons, their number one quarter.
30:46He mispracticed with a shoulder injury. I have a feeling he's probably fine because he left the game briefly in week one and then came back.
30:54And Carlton Davis, Patriots, very good cornerback for them.
30:57He mispracticed as well. One question for each game.
31:00Here we go. We'll find out today also about Aaron Donald.
31:03Oh, okay. Okay. Please sit another game. Cincinnati's at Houston.
31:07Are we cool with the Bengals passing game, Heath?
31:09I'm starting Chase and Higgins. Burrow is a very borderline starter.
31:13And I'm not quite there yet with Mike Kosicki.
31:16By the way, just back to the injuries real quick.
31:19Someone asked about DeAndre Swift. He was limited with knee and ankle issues.
31:23But I think if he's limited, he's probably okay.
31:26But yeah, we'll keep an eye on DeAndre Swift.
31:29Kosicki didn't run that many routes. He had like a 40-something percent target per route run rate, which is not repeatable.
31:35So I sent you guys that stat. I think it's 26 games in a row for the Texans.
31:41They have not allowed multiple wide receivers to score 12 or more PPR fantasy points in 26 straight games.
31:47Do you think it happens this week? Hope so.
31:49Well, yeah. I mean, everybody starts these guys, I guess.
31:53I know. All right. New Orleans at Baltimore. Jamie, starter sit Tyler Shuck.
31:57I would prefer to sit him. But he's, you know, at this point with no bye weeks, I think when you get
32:04to a quarterback that's probably in the 16, 17, 18 range, he's probably in the starting conversation.
32:09So he's coming off a very strong stretch of games.
32:12It's not just that he played well last week.
32:15He's been, I think it's like six of his last seven, seven of his last eight, going back to last year, of 20 or more fantasy points.
32:23So there is a track record here of a quarterback that's been delivering.
32:27That said, we saw Baltimore's defense look really good last week, aside from the opening drive.
32:32And that was a Jonathan Taylor touchdown. So I don't think you have to start Shuck.
32:37I would like to roster Shuck. And if he has another strong game here, then I think he's going to be in
32:44the conversation to be a weekly start. Tyler Shuck or Joe Burrow?
32:48Burrow. Heath? Burrow. Okay. All right. This is where the controversy starts.
32:52Here we go. We've got a lot of it right now.
32:55I think we always do in week two. Yeah?
32:58Okay. Yeah. Pittsburgh at New England. Starter sit Drake May.
33:01Heath? I am. I'm going back to Drake May.
33:04I mean, he's not, I guess at eight, I'm not sure he's just entirely a must start, but pretty close to a must start.
33:11He was QB three last year without AJ Brown and with Stephon Diggs playing half of the snaps.
33:17I think he will find a way. He's going to run and probably score between four and 10 points with his legs.
33:24And I, the Steelers defense is good, but it's not one that I feel like I have to run away from.
33:30Jamie, you have him 18th. Dave's right in the middle at 13th.
33:34Heath is at eight on Drake May. Sit him.
33:37I just don't like what I see right now.
33:40You know, and it goes back to last year.
33:43Granted, a lot of it has been against some of the best defenses in the NFL because it was the playoffs.
33:49But his last six games, he's averaging just 17 fantasy points per game, 17.7 fantasy points per game.
33:55It's eight touchdowns and seven interceptions over that span.
33:58The whole idea of why we loved Drake May even more this year was because of AJ Brown and Romeo Dobbs.
34:04And it couldn't have gone worse for what happened to those two guys last week, aside from Dobbs also getting injured, but
34:11not having AJ Brown and Dobbs looking lost. Heath is 100% correct.
34:15He was great last year without those two guys.
34:18He did have Diggs, even in a limited snap share.
34:21So I'm hopeful that Drake May bounces back. He did a good game against them last year in week three.
34:27I just think that even though the Steelers defense wasn't tested to its normal degrees last week because it was Cooper Rush,
34:34this is still a very good defense on the other side of the ball.
34:38They're going to put pressure on Drake May. This is a, you know, a little bit of a discovery game for him.
34:45Can you trust him, you know, coming off of this?
34:48Because if he's going to struggle in tough matchups against good defenses, you're going to have a hard time playing him, especially while AJ Brown is out.
34:57So my guess is looking at it, you know, we, we can only go by what start percentage tells us and start
35:04percentage tells us that people are running away from Drake Mays.
35:07The 69% started for a guy that was drafted as a top five quarterback at the minimum.
35:12So for me in the leagues where I have Drake May, uh, if Jordan love was available, I'm starting Jordan love over him without even questioning it.
35:21No. So, um, Baker Mayfield, I would start over him.
35:24I have Tyler Schuch ranked ahead of him. Yes.
35:27Uh, Mr. Viper. I would go with both. Two questions from the chat were bigger, bigger Mayfield and Jordan love or Drake may.
35:34And Jamie's I'm guessing different answers than he, now you do love Jordan love.
35:38Heath, do you like him better than Drake may?
35:41No, I've got love at 11. So I'll start my, and you're going to start may over Baker Mayfield.
35:47And I, and part of this is, and I don't know what the, off the top of my head, what the, uh,
35:54the, the total is expected to be. This is probably going to be one of the more low scoring games of the week.
36:01It's 41 and a half. The Patriots though. Uh, I think their number is 23.
36:06So they're projected. They're implied totals about a point and a half higher than Jacksonville at Denver.
36:11I know he's going to say, Jake may Jamie, Jake may or Bryce young.
36:16Yeah. I moved Bryce young to 17. Wow. Okay.
36:18And I'm going to read this, uh, typo here because their typos are fun.
36:23Drake may or Patrick Mahoney. Mahoney. Mahoney. Um, and I will say like, I don't generally look at this too much, but I was curious.
36:31So I want it went to look last year.
36:33He scored 23 fantasy points against the Steelers did not have a wide receiver top 28 yards.
36:39Yeah. It's the rushing, right? He's got to have to do something with his.
36:43Well, he didn't have a rushing touchdown either. Oh, there's somebody else.
36:47We're going to talk about, um, a little later in this game that I'm, I'm pretty excited about.
36:53Okay. Okay. All right. We won't talk about Drake may anymore.
36:56That is the Drake may discussion. Jacksonville at Denver.
36:59Let's go through the rest of these games quickly here.
37:02We'll get, and then we'll break them down. Obviously more in depth.
37:06Jacksonville at Denver. How many wide receivers, Jamie, do you feel comfortable starting in Jacksonville at Denver?
37:11Uh, one. I would start two, but one comfortable.
37:14Parker Washington is the comfortable guy and Jalen Waddle would be the other one.
37:18Okay. All right. Indianapolis at Kansas city. Heath, how many wide receivers do you feel comfortable starting?
37:24One. Keenan Allen. And it's a more, for me, it's a more definitive one than the prior game.
37:29I like Jalen Waddle a lot more than I like any of the other wide receivers in this game.
37:35What about Parker Washington? No, I w I think I have it.
37:39Uh, rice and Washington for me are like back to back and then waddles the clear number three between the two games.
37:46And I'd like to stay away from everyone else.
37:49Okay. Green Bay is at the jets. Jamie, are we going to get a bounce back from Marshawn Lloyd?
37:54I hope so. You know, I, I, I agree with Heath that he, he has an opportunity here to perform better than
38:01he did last week, mostly because of the defense that he's facing.
38:05I know the jets defense looked good last week.
38:08It was the Titans. They still allowed five yards per carry to Tony Pollard for UIPC for life guys.
38:14Um, this, this should be a game where they have the ball considerably and I hope they try to get their run game going.
38:21And I hope this is the guy that try to get their run game going with.
38:26So I still think Jordan love, this is if I was like how I would sketch out this game or, you know,
38:33outline this game for me, ideally it would be throw to score a run to win.
38:38And so let the passing game dictate the tempo early in the game and then use your running game to sort of put the game away.
38:46If it goes as according to plan based on how the Packers operate here.
38:51So I think we're going to get a lot of panic on Marshawn Lloyd this week for two reasons or going into week three for two reasons.
38:59If it doesn't go well, one, can you trust him because he didn't have a good game too?
39:05We're probably getting Josh Jacobs news soon at some point.
39:08So we may see Marshawn Lloyd on the waiver wire, uh, quickly if he does not perform well in this matchup.
39:15So I'm hopeful, but more of a high end flex than a must start running.
39:19Yeah. I wouldn't call a must start, but just the, the, the one thing that gave me made me encouraged.
39:25He had a 62% share of the team's rush attempts.
39:29So if they are ahead, like we think they're going to be in the second half, we could, he could be okay.
39:35He could be okay. That's Marshawn Lloyd. How would you compare him Heath to this next guy Raiders at chargers, Quentin Johnston?
39:42If there's no lad McConkie, I'm going right back to Quentin Johnston.
39:46In fact, more than right back, I'm ranking them a lot higher than I did last week.
39:51I think he's a borderline wide receiver too, and maybe the best boomer bust wide receiver three.
39:57Um, I also want to go add Trey Harris just in case.
40:01Eagles at Titans. Jamie start them all sit them all.
40:04Basically, uh, hurts Barkley, Devante Goddard must starts Titans.
40:06I think Goddard is really the only one that I see.
40:10I feel like there's a big difference with you guys.
40:13Last I checked, I think he was like fourth for Jamie and 10th for Heath, something like that on Dallas Goddard.
40:20Does that sound right? That sounds right. Okay. So we're going to start him over Kyle pits.
40:25I assume. Oh yeah. And Harold Vannan. How about Sam Laporta tonight or Goddard?
40:29I like Goddard better, but. Laporta for me. I don't know how many people have that decision to make.
40:35Okay. Isaiah likely at the Rams or Dallas Goddard?
40:38Like likely. Dalton Kincaid tonight or Goddard? Goddard. But I like both.
40:42Ooh, I have Kincaid one spot ahead of Dallas Goddard.
40:45Michael Mayer or Goddard? Goddard. Uh, Mayer for me.
40:48All right. Cincinnati at Houston. Let's do it. So as I mentioned, Texans haven't allowed multiple wide receivers to score 12 or
40:55more points in the same game since week 13 of 2024, 26 straight games.
40:59They have not faced a lot of really good tandems of wide receivers.
41:03There aren't that many to begin with. They also.
41:06We're the best. Can you have, you have. I would say last year it would be Devante Adams and Puka Nakua.
41:12Okay. Um, I could go through the list, but I don't know if people care.
41:17No, that's fair. I just want to know because I mean, it's a lot of, uh, Tennessee in there and Indianapolis in there and Jacksonville in there.
41:26Yeah. I was going to say like playing in the AFC South helps for your defense.
41:31Yeah. Um, because Jacksonville hasn't always been what they are now.
41:34Uh, okay. So anyway, just your general, I think everyone's going to start Jamar Chase, but Jamie for Burrow and Higgins, your
41:41general, uh, enthusiasm level for them for this week.
41:44I mean, look, Higgins didn't score a touchdown last week, but he still, I think looked okay and is probably the healthier
41:51of the two because of chase coming off the knee injury that he suffered in camp.
41:56You don't love that Burrow is not a hundred percent.
41:59You don't love that. He's taking out a defense that, you know, struggled last week.
42:03That being said, this offense, when it's right, there's not many defenses that will slow them down or make you concerned.
42:10So I'm not going to the waiver wire to replace Joe Burrow and I'm not sitting Jamar Chase or T Higgins.
42:17So unless you're just, you know, absolutely loaded at your, you know, wide receiver or flex positions, 10 team leagues being more the case.
42:24So, um, I don't know. I, I, I don't think we're getting a huge Joe Burrow game.
42:29So there is reason to downgrade him, but again, I'm not replacing him with Baker Mayfield or, or Jordan love or anything.
42:36If I don't have those guys already on my team.
42:39Okay. How about Jared golf? I would still start Burrow, especially with the offensive line issues.
42:44Unless we get a, another bad practice report today.
42:47Okay. Heath golf or Burrow? I literally have them tied in the projections.
42:51Um, it probably will come down to which lions offensive line and play tonight.
42:56Well, we, the two of them are out to I'll go Burrow.
42:59Okay. So that's how about T Higgins versus David Montgomery.
43:03One guy coming off a bad game. One guy coming off a three touchdown game.
43:07Who would you flex? Non PPR. It's easy and half and full.
43:11I probably still go Higgins. I just, I'm very curious about this bangles run defense.
43:16I thought they looked really good last week and Bucky Irving just had a lot of great plays.
43:21We know David Montgomery is not as shifty as, as Bucky Irving.
43:25So we're going to get, you know, maybe another 20 for 60.
43:29And if you don't get the multiple touchdowns, it wouldn't shock me if he scores one.
43:34Remember he's a Cincinnati guy and he beat them up last year in Cincinnati or last year or two years ago, uh, as a member of the lions.
43:43So I'm sure this game means a little bit more to him.
43:46Oh, that's the game where they had him throw a touchdown.
43:50I think I think so. His sister was in attendance.
43:53Yeah. It was a very emotional game. That's a great, that's a great point.
43:57Yeah. Um, so like I'm not, I'm not sitting David Montgomery, but I think there's a higher ceiling for Higgins if things go right.
44:05Especially look, if you, if you believe that chase is not a hundred percent, it wouldn't shock me if Stingley is probably going to follow chase.
44:13So yeah, you know, Higgins might have the easier path.
44:16Stingley did not follow more last week. It's so frustrating with the shadowing.
44:20I think I said this last week, the only cornerback where I feel like he's almost a lock to shadow a great receiver is Sertan.
44:28The other guys, it's like, sometimes they do. Sometimes they don't.
44:31Even I would guess Gonzalez shadows DK Metcalf this week.
44:35Yeah, I, I think so, but I don't think he shadowed JSN last week.
44:39Um, different type of receiver though. They are. Okay.
44:42So Houston, let's see, uh, Nico, if he plays, I think we're going to start him.
44:47Stroud is a sit, uh, Montgomery stay on Montgomery for a little bit.
44:51Cause you're gonna start chase Brown and we don't like Mike Kosicki.
44:55Not yet. Again, he only ran 46% of the routes.
44:58So we'll start, uh, we'll go back to Montgomery, Montgomery or Bejal Tootin.
45:02Montgomery. Montgomery. Montgomery or Scadaboo. Scadaboo. I think I have Scadaboo.
45:05Okay. They're, they're pretty like similar to me. The funny thing is it might be Montgomery and PPR Scadaboo and not.
45:12Right. Yeah. Yeah. What do you have? Three catches, uh, Montgomery last week.
45:16He split the third down reps evenly. He's I've got Scadaboo one spot higher.
45:20Okay. What do you think about Jalen Noel and Hutchinson and these guys?
45:24If Nico's out, Jamie, uh, put the Spider-Man meme up with the Patriots and the Texans and say, okay, figure out who
45:31the best pass catcher is when the tight end is probably the preferred option for both.
45:36Um, I would lean slightly toward Hutchinson. I would not be surprised if it's Noel because I think he's got some upside
45:43and then you'll get more opportunities for Keishon booty.
45:46So it's really such a wild card of what it could be.
45:50I just feel like there's a connection between Stroud and Hutchinson and that's the kind of player that he'll, he will lean on a little bit more.
45:58So none of them are like, oh my God, must starts.
46:01Like I picked up Hutchinson for 12 bucks and a thousand dollar budget guillotine league, uh, you know, for, uh, end of
46:08bench, maybe, you know, so many flexes that you start in that format week too.
46:13Like that's the type of league I would be starting him in unless this is a multi-wooled, week injury for Nico Collins, which it doesn't sound like it.
46:22Then you want to just stash one of these guys and speculate.
46:26So for me, it would come down to most likely Noel or Hutchinson.
46:30And I would slightly lean Hutchinson. Heath, how do you feel about Dalton Schultz this week against the Bengals?
46:36He is the most borderline tight end one. I almost feel like I should move him up a couple of spots, but
46:42we still have quite a few tight ends that despite week one, not going great.
46:47I like quite a bit, but he had a 22% target share last week, last week had 106 targets last year.
46:54The Bengals were the easiest matchup for tight ends last year.
46:57We haven't seen for sure that that's going to be the case this year, but he's, he's very close to a start.
47:04I'd start him over pits. I'd start him over Fannin.
47:07I would start him over Kittle also. Houston DST, start or sit?
47:11I would prefer to sit them, but I don't want to drop them.
47:15So I'd probably just start them and carry one.
47:18Not going to drop them. Not going to carry two.
47:21All right, here we go with chat questions. Burrow or Knicks?
47:24Burrow. Burrow. Burrow or Dart? Still Burrow for me.
47:27Burrow for me. Burrow or Stafford? Still Burrow for me.
47:30Stafford. Higgins or Parker Washington? Higgins. Parker Washington. Chase Brown or Ashton Gentty?
47:34Chase Brown. Yep. Burrow or Jordan Love? Love. They're back to back for me right now, Burrow.
47:40Jalen Waddell or T. Higgins? Higgins. Higgins. Montgomery or Javante Williams?
47:43Javante. Yep. Okay. Thank you for the questions. We're going to take a break.
47:47We got seven games to go. It's going to be a long one today.
47:52We'll be right back on Fantasy Football Today. If you haven't done so already, you have to check out WhatNot.

48:15Bug zappers, hats, golf balls, Super Nintendo games, vacuums, shoes.
48:18It's amazing. I saw a brand new Nintendo gaming console sell for $15.
48:22I would have bid on it if I didn't already have one, and I paid a lot more than that.
48:28I'll tell you that much. One thing you can get on WhatNot, sports cards.
48:33Four sports cards are sold on WhatNot every second.

48:58Terms apply. One of the things I'm going to do this week is look at players whose roles have changed or showed that they changed in week one.
49:07Obviously, things can change from there. But here's one guy, Mark Andrews.
49:11We look at New Orleans at Baltimore. Mark Andrews, 26.1% target per route run rate.
49:16Much higher than it was in any of the last three seasons.
49:19Last two seasons, he's averaged four targets per game.
49:22Mark Andrews had a 79.3% route participation rate in week one.
49:26It was less than 70% in each of the previous two seasons.
49:29So that is good stuff for Mark Andrews. Yes, sir.
49:33This is one of the biggest will-he-play-or-won't-he-play splits. In the first half, Mark Andrews had an 18.8% target per route run rate.
49:39That's when Zay Flowers was healthy. Okay. In the second half, Mark Andrews had a 42.9% target per route run rate.
49:46Okay. His increase in usage was entirely dependent on Zay Flowers being out.
49:50Well, there's another injury, too. What's the injury? Jacoby Lane.
49:53Jacoby Lane. His increase in targets, yes. At least I think he was still running the same amount of routes, which is good.
50:00At least he's on the field more than he was the last two years.
50:05So, yeah, Mark Andrews or Dalton Schultz? Schultz. Well.
50:08Andrews. Is Zay Flowers playing? Okay. That's your answer?
50:10Yeah. Jamie, how about you? Yeah, I think with Lane's absence, we hopefully get the Mark Andrews touchdown as opposed to the Jacoby Lane touchdown last week.
50:19All right. Let's keep this game simple. Start Jackson.
50:22Start Henry. Zay Flowers, if he starts, he's a must-start.
50:25If he plays, he's a must-start, I assume. If he's playing hurt, then tune in Sunday morning and we'll talk about it.
50:32You just heard about how we feel about Mark Andrews.
50:35Is there, if Zay Flowers is out, is there anyone, Rashad Bateman or Jamie or anything like that, that you'd be in?
50:42How would you compare them to Xavier Hutchinson? Yeah, the same thing.
50:45You know, deep league dart throw of hopeful. Lamar Jackson was asked quite a bit about Rashad Bateman yesterday with, you know,
50:52you never like to hear that with Flowers banged up.
50:55But there's, again, there's another opening here because of Lane's injury.
50:59So there's going to be some opportunities for everybody else.
51:02But Bateman was basically the cardio guy last week.
51:05Just run down the field a lot and don't get any opportunities.
51:09So Olave's a start. Vele. Devon Vele or David Montgomery?
51:12Montgomery. Montgomery, but it's close in PPR. Devon Vele or Brian Thomas Jr.?
51:16Vele. BTJ. Okay. I am very curious to see what the Saints do in this game because, yeah, we've already talked about it.
51:23Raven's defense was really good in week one. Is this just going to be a tough matchup for anyone?
51:29And not just that, but like they're probably going to run a third as many plays as they did in week one, the Saints.
51:36And so you should probably expect six targets for Devon Vele instead of nine.
51:41And that's, I hope he scores a touchdown flex.
51:44Got a couple of Vele questions here. Vele or Marshawn Lloyd?
51:47Vele and PPR. Lloyd for me. Vele or Jalen Waddle?
51:50Still Waddle. Waddle. How do you guys feel about Travis Achan this week?
51:54Number two running back. Yeah, I'm kind of back to where I was in draft season on him.
52:00He's definitely a top 24 running back, but he's also one of the top 24 running backs I'm least excited about.
52:06And now he's maybe playing a good defense too.
52:09Although they didn't have a lot of success against the run last week, the Ravens.
52:14I don't kind of like, I view the Travis Achan, Jonathan Taylor comparison similar to how I view Basial Tootin and Ken Walker.
52:21I don't think it's the same thing the Ravens are facing this week.
52:25He played 59% of the snaps. Kendrick Miller played 29% of the snaps.
52:29So that at least was good, even though they had the same amount of carries.
52:34You just hope that is not a three-way split this week.
52:37Yeah, I know. And we did have Donaldson playing, CJ Donaldson playing as kind of a third down back for them last week.
52:45Hopefully just Kamara takes that job. Okay. Tyler Shuck.
52:47We already talked about in the one question for each game format.
52:51Shuck is 15th for Jamie, 12th for Dave, and 18th for Heath.
52:55Would you start Tyler Shuck or Drake May? I don't think I asked that.
52:59May. Shuck for me. May, Shuck. Tyler Shuck or Bryce Young?
53:03Shuck. Uh, Shuck. I think I have Shuck. Yeah.
53:06Shuck or Stafford? Stafford. Oh, Juwan Johnson. Forgot about him.
53:09Juwan Johnson or Mark Andrews? Who's the best tight end in this game?
53:13I would go Juwan Johnson, but close. Does a Flowers play?
53:16Okay. Fair enough. Juwan Johnson or Michael Mayer? Mayer.
53:19Mayer? All right. Let's read some questions here. We got Olave, Parker Washington, Christian Watson, Travis HN, and Burden.
53:25Olave, Parker Washington, Watson, HN, Burden. Who sits? Pick one.
53:28Half PPR. Burden for me. Watson and HN are my two lowest ranked.
53:32I think I would sit Watson. Veilay over Debo and Lloyd for a flex?
53:37I would go Debo, Veilay, Lloyd in PPR. I would go Lloyd, Debo, Veilay.
53:41Andrews or Juwan? We just answered that one. Travis HN or Veilay?
53:45We're going to go HN. Yep. Veilay or Marvin Harrison Jr.?
53:48Veilay. Morph. Pick one. HN, Chuba Hubbard, or Aaron Jones?
53:51In half PPR, I would go with still HN.
53:54It would be Aaron Jones for me. And last one.
53:57Shuck or Herbert? Herbert. Herbert. Well, see what happens to Lab McConkie.
54:01Okay. Fair enough. How do you feel about the Ravens DST?
54:04Similar to the Texans because their schedule coming up is amazing.
54:08So I would not want to drop them. If you can carry two, it's not a bad move to go get the 49ers or the Bucs.
54:16I think the Saints offense is good. So I think their score.
54:20Low end starter. It's a pretty good week for DST.
54:23All right. Well, that means it's not going to be a great week for offense, I guess.
54:28Pittsburgh at New England. Well, we get some of the memory we had last week with the crappy teams playing the crappy teams.
54:35Now we have the crappy teams playing good teams.
54:38Good. All right. All right. Yeah. Might as well use the crappy teams against the good teams.
54:43Pittsburgh's at New England. The Steelers, they won 20 to three, 20 to 13.
54:48Pardon me. They threw 40 passes. They were fifth in pass rate.
54:52They were actually eighth in pass rate last season, but ran the fifth fewest plays.
54:56Still slow paced, but. I think this game or the Steelers offense in particular is one of the most difficult for the underlying data versus the actual performance.
55:05Because like what they did offensively and what they specifically with DK Metcalf having the second most area yards in that game
55:12is awesome for him, but the performance sucked. So, and the running backs, Rico Dowdle played a lot more snaps, ran a
55:19lot more routes, but the performance sucked. And do they go away with from what they were planning on doing coming into
55:26week one in week two, just because it didn't work or because if they do that all season long, I think it's good news for DK and Dowdle.
55:34Yeah. Dave was watching the tape of this one and he told me, I didn't guess I didn't realize I said they basically just alternated possessions.
55:43Jalen Warren and Rico Dowdle. So it surprised me that Dowdle snap count was so much higher.
55:48Um, as far as Metcalf goes, there were three defining plays of this game and three reasons why this game wasn't a bigger blowout.
55:55Uh, one was a throw to the end zone where it was like a lot of contact, no call.
56:01Metcalf couldn't haul it in. One was a deep ball down the sideline where AJ Terrell, a hundred percent got away with the pass interference.
56:09Just grabbed his arm. Ridiculous. And that should have been a big play.
56:13And one was just a flat out drop by DK Metcalf.
56:17And that should have been a big play. So if they convert two of those three, it looks a lot different, I think.
56:24And Metcalf has a really big game. So with that said, and everything you just said, Heath, are there any Steelers that
56:31you want to start in this game? Not with any confidence at all, but I'm still starting DK as a wide receiver three.
56:38And I still have Warren and Dowdle ranked pretty close to where I did last week.
56:43I think your thought, we kind of got both.
56:46Like I talked about how I thought with Mike McCarthy, they're going to be throwing down field more.
56:51They did that. But your thought that Aaron Rodgers throws so much to his running backs also proved true.
56:57Warren and Dowdle, I think had nine combined targets.
57:00So it was encouraging for all three of them.
57:03I think they had 11 targets. I think 11, even better.
57:06They both had five or six. And that, and that kind of, it, that obviously it's not going to happen every week,
57:13but a lot of deep balls and a lot of short balls bad for Michael Pittman.
57:18All right. So yeah, I mean, I got Warren in a few leagues.
57:22I'm going to flex them. I just think he's going to catch a decent amount of balls and PPR.
57:28Give me like a little floor there. But it's a flex.
57:32Yeah. That's kind of what the, that's kind of what we're looking at here.
57:36We're looking at flexes. Jamie, who's a must start in this game at any position and any, on any team.
57:42I'd still start with Andre. I expect the Steelers, the Patriots to be very conservative.
57:47You know, their defense is great. They're going to be able to control that game, that side of the ball because I
57:54still think the Steelers offense work in progress and, you know, not as good as their defense still.
58:00So if they struggle to run the ball and you put Aaron Rodgers in some one-dimensional situations, you know, I know the,
58:06the Patriots, oh my God, they lost that game last week.
58:10They still did a great job and take, take into account Sam Darnold got hurt.
58:15They did a great job in containing this, the Seahawks offense.
58:18So I feel like this is a very low scoring game where you don't get a lot of huge production across the
58:25board and Ramondre still the preferred running back here.
58:28So he's the only one I would consider a must start player.
58:31And you say that you're expecting Travion to play, right?
58:35Yeah. I think we're going to get Travion eased in.
58:38It would be great. I think he's talked about this earlier in the week when we were talking about him coming back
58:45to practice, like this injects some new life into this offense that feels flat after what we saw last week.
58:51So maybe there's a few ways to be creative with him.
58:54I don't know how any fantasy manager can start Travion coming off an ankle injury, knowing that when Ramondre has been healthy, it's been difficult to trust him.
59:03So you'd love to see, oh, this is the new way it was going to look more in his favor from a
59:10playing time standpoint, more touches for him, more opportunities.
59:13Even if it's just like the old Patriots, Josh McDaniels offenses of there is a thumping running back and then there's a pass catching running back.
59:21And then we get Travion being the James White, Danny Woodhead type of guy that always had some PPR success.
59:27So that'd be fun to see. I just think you got to give it a week and see what this looks like.
59:34So why don't we rank the running backs and wide receivers, like the top four in this game?
59:40Heath, you can take a stab at it first.
59:42Oh, yeah. So Ramondre. Okay. Is first. Warren is second.
59:46No, I'm sorry. DK, Warren, Dowdle. So Ramondre, DK, Warren, Dowdle.
59:49Jamie? Uh, Ramondre. Warren. Hunter Henry. Oh, I think I should have concluded the tight ends.
59:54I'm sorry. Yeah. DK maker. So I, I do have Hunter Henry as a starting tight end.
59:59I think he's eighth or ninth for me. And if you like what they did against this team last time, he had
60:06eight catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns on 11 targets against them in week three.
60:11And if you look two years before that, the last time he played them before that game, he also scored two touchdowns.
60:18So basically a guarantee Hunter Henry's going to score two touchdowns.
60:22Yeah. The Steelers are actually terrible against tight ends last year.
60:25They gave up the fourth most fantasy points. They were pretty good in week one.
60:30They were no, no catches for Kyle pits on one target.
60:33Uh, okay. So there's Henry or Dalton Schultz. I go Henry.
60:37Oh, we also like that one target for Kyle pits would have been a touchdown.
60:41If Cooper rush could throw the ball. He made a great move.
60:45He made a great move on that play. So.
60:48And Pat and Pat Fryermuth, I think worth mentioning, he ran a lot of routes last week.
60:53He had five targets. He caught a touchdown that was encouraging for him, but we're going to be cautious with him.
61:00He's outside the top 15 Pat Fryermuth. So I guess I'll read the questions here, but we already talked about Drake may
61:07go back to one question for each game. If you, uh, if you want to hear about Drake, maybe we talked a lot about him.
61:14Jacob wants to know why I'm calling ETN HN because that's how he wants it pronounced.
61:19I don't know when this is going to stop.
61:22I guess people are gradually finding this out, but his name is pronounced Travis.
61:27To be clear, he says that's the way it is supposed to be pronounced.
61:31It's not just like, so he decided he wants to be called HN.
61:35Yeah. That's, that's his last name. Okay. Yes. Yeah.
61:38Uh, Dowdle, Dobbs, Godwin, Dobbins, pick one. Dowdle, Dobbs, Godwin, Dobbins.
61:41What a great avatar. Uh, Godwin. I'd probably go Dowdle.
61:44Yeah. We didn't really talk about Romeo Dobbins, but is he in your top 40?
61:49No. Uh, no, this is, you know, if you have a roster spot, it's not Dobbs because he was 75% plus rostered.
61:56If you have an open roster spot, put Matt Collins there, put tomorrow Douglas there, put Kyle Williams there.
62:02You know, someone's going to have an opportunity to make plays in the next six weeks.
62:07And if you guess right, congratulations. I think it's going to be Dobbs and Henry just because of the investment that they made in Dobbs.
62:15And, you know, on top of that, Henry, look, it could be Eli Raritan.
62:19You know, they could, we could get a lot more 12 personnel or 13 personnel and they're, you know, featuring their tight
62:26ends more because they just don't trust the receivers.
62:29So I was at seven targets last week. Dobbs at three and he was terrible with the drops.
62:35Would you rather have Matt Collins or Romeo Dobbs?
62:37I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'd rather have Xavier Hutchinson or Romeo Dobbs.
62:41Assuming that Nico's out. Yeah. If Nico's out, I'd rather have Hutchinson.
62:45I think I'd still rather have Dobbs. I actually have Demario ahead of Dobbs in full PPR though.
62:50But not Matt Collins? No. Hollins has kind of been like this just annoying veteran that makes plays.
62:56Anytime he gets like five plus targets, he's like 10 PPR points.
63:00So you know what the floor is. If he somehow finds a way to score a touchdown, I'll have a decent day.
63:07If you get a point per pancake, then Matt Collins would be the best.
63:11Great blocker. Yeah. DJ Moore or DK Metcalf. That's going to be DJ Moore.
63:15Ramondre Stevenson or Kyle Menongai? Ramondre. Unless Swift somehow is out.
63:19Yeah. Matt Collins or Antonio Williams? I'd rather Ross or Williams.
63:22Yep. Don't want to start either. But if you had to start one of them?
63:27It would be Hollins. Yeah. Scadaboo or Stevenson? Stevenson.
63:30Patriots or Chargers DST? Patriots. Montgomery or Stevenson? Stevenson.
63:33Yep. And Friermuth or Ferguson? I don't know which Ferguson that is.
63:36Doesn't matter. Friermuth. Okay. That's that game. Patriots DST is top six.
63:40Steelers DST is top five for Dave and Jamie.
63:4312th for Heath. I don't know if we're going to get to that.
63:47I mean, some of you might... This show is going super long.
63:51Some of you might not be around for Eagles, Titans.
63:54I have something that I want to tell you about Devontae Smith, and I don't like it at all.
64:00But here's Jacksonville at Denver. Just looking at rolls, things that caught my eye in week one, Brian Thomas Jr.'s average route depth was 14.8 yards.
64:08It was only 14 routes, but that ranked second among 105 wide receivers who ran 10 or more routes.
64:14I hate that. Sip, Brian Thomas. Like, he's going to be...
64:17If he keeps doing that, he's going to be pretty boom or bust.
64:21Sip, Brian Thomas this week. Jalen Waddell. Big role change for him.
64:2565% slot rate. He hasn't been anywhere near that since his rookie year when he had a 54% slot rate.
64:31After that, it was about 20%. Meanwhile, Evan Ingram, he lined up in line on 21 of his 32 snaps.
64:38He had been about 47% in line his previous two seasons.
64:41They barely played Evan Ingram in the slot. He did catch his touchdown when he was lined up out wide.
64:47But different roles. Jalen Waddell in the slot a ton.
64:51Evan Ingram in line. So that's like on the end of the line of scrimmage.
64:55A ton. Like two-thirds of his snaps. Which is usually not a good thing for a tight end, even though he had a good game.
65:03All right. Trevor Lawrence. Let's go. So fifth for Jamie, 19th for Heath, and Dave is right in the middle at 12th.
65:10Holy cow. Heath, you're just... Yeah. What do you think?
65:13I think the biggest problem with the Broncos defense in week one was that they couldn't tackle.
65:18And I don't think that the Broncos defense forgot how to tackle.
65:22I think, one, Ken Walker's great at creating broken tackles.
65:25Two, they had a really miserable week one. They were still very good in coverage.
65:30They can still get pressure on the quarterback. I can't imagine how angry this defense is.
65:35Both at getting embarrassed on national television by the Chiefs and by remembering what Trevor Lawrence did against them in the playoffs.
65:42I think they'll have a better scheme for what the Jacksonville Jaguars are doing.
65:46And I don't want to trust anyone but Parker Washington in this offense.
65:50Okay, Jamie, let's hear the rebuttal. How many games did they won in a row?
65:55Nine. How many points did they scored in that nine games?
65:58Wait, like 33. They won nine regular season games in a row.
66:02They did lose a game in the middle. 33.7 regular season wins in a row.
66:07Nine regular season wins in a row, 33.7 points per game.
66:10And the number one defense in that stretch, too.
66:13And in that stretch, including the playoff game, Trevor Lawrence has scored 23.1 fantasy points per game or more.
66:19So he's just locked in right now with Liam Cohen's offense.
66:23And I think it's just going to be another game where he performs at a high level.
66:28I'm just very encouraged by what Jacksonville is doing right now.
66:31And it's not just one guy. Yes, Parker Washington was great last week.
66:35Three other players caught touchdowns. None of them was named Brian Thomas Jr.
66:39or Travis Hunter, who they're forcing in a lot of ways on the field.
66:44So I think Trevor Lawrence has another good game.
66:47I probably have him ranked a little bit too high, but I just love what Liam Cohen has done for him and what it looked like last week.
66:55I know it was against Cleveland, but it was just easy.
66:59And it was easy in a lot of ways against Denver last year, too, in Denver.
67:04Yeah. I mean, look, Denver's defense is great, but they played a lot of bad teams last year.
67:09They did. I don't think it was a bad team at all.
67:1337.2 fantasy points last year in week 16 at Denver.
67:16It was a big statement for Trevor Lawrence. All right, Heath, just not there with it.
67:21Okay. I want to, you know, I probably sounded the alarm a little bit too much on Brian Thomas Jr.
67:28I think we all agree this week he's got the shoulder thing.
67:31He's probably going to get Sertand. Not going to be great.
67:35But he did. He was limited in snaps last week.
67:38He had a 24.1% target per run rate. That was really good.
67:42The way Trevor Lawrence is playing, the way he's throwing the ball downfield, it could work for Brian Thomas.
67:48I just don't like him having basically the highest average route depth in the NFL in week one.
67:53Second highest among 105 wide receivers. Okay. Brenton Strange, start or sit?
67:57Touchdown or bust? Yeah. Bo Nix, start or sit?
68:00So, I mean, for me, it's a must-sit at this point.
68:03Is there any Bronco that you want to start or just kind of begrudgingly start Waddle?
68:08Yes. And Waddle's a number three. Right. And this run defense for the Jaguars, it was great last year.
68:14Third best against running backs. It was great in week one.
68:18It's a tough matchup for Dobbins. If Harvey's out, we can reconsider.
68:21But we don't expect that at this point. I'm so curious, like, what the correction's going to be for Denver.
68:28What the correction's going to be for Sean Payton.
68:30It's Sean Payton taking the sheet back. If this gets ugly early, give me that.
68:35Oh, yeah. You know, I would love to see, like, Davis Webb and his offense drawing up plays and Sean Payton, like, looking over and going.
68:43No, they had him interviewed during the game. No, I think it was on the Manning cast.
68:49And Peyton Manning said, talking to him, he said that he asked Davis Webb, he's like, what's it like with Sean Payton who's called plays for so long?
68:57And he's like, oh, he comes into the office all the time.
69:01And if he gives us a play, we run that play.
69:05Like, what Sean Payton wants in the offense is in the offense.
69:08Yeah, I mean, look, it's still his offense. It's, you know, Davis Webb running the plays that Sean Payton has installed over time.
69:15You know, certainly over the time with Bo Nix.
69:18It's just, you wonder, like, if this gets bad early, does he just, give me that.
69:23You're done. Which DST do you prefer? The Jaguars.
69:26I think, I still have Denver higher. Yeah. And Evan Ingram, by the way, is not ranked in the top 24.
69:33Just letting you know. All right. So, question share from the chat.
69:36Tootin or Lad McConkie? Lad if he plays. Oh, yeah.
69:40But we're not projecting that right now. Sorry. Trevor Lawrence or Brock Purdy?
69:44Purdy. Purdy. Bo Nix or Justin Herbert? Herbert. Herbert.
69:46Trevor Lawrence or Jared Goff? Lawrence. Goff. Sit one.
69:49Waddle, Coker, Godwin? I think I have Waddle and Coker back-to-back, but I'd probably sit Godwin.
69:54I would sit Godwin. Lloyd or Dobbins? Lloyd. Lloyd.
69:57Tootin, Lloyd, or Godwin? Start two. I'd start Godwin and Tootin.
70:01Full PPR. I'm going to start the running backs.
70:03Let's test Jamie's love for Trevor Lawrence. Trevor Lawrence or Caleb Williams?
70:07Caleb. Okay. That's it for Denver and Jacksonville. I think there was one other thing I was going to say about that game, but I can't remember.
70:16Okay. Indianapolis is at Kansas City. We're going to sit Daniel Jones.
70:19We're going to start Jonathan Taylor. Oh, I know what I was going to say.
70:24If you want to hear more about Bejal Tootin, top of the show.
70:28He told you why he is sitting Bejal Tootin this week.
70:31He's just outside the top 24. He's not terrible, but we'd like to get away from Tootin if possible.
70:37And I also mentioned Chris Rodriguez had four of five snaps on third and one or two yards to gain.
70:44We're going to try to get away from the Colts wide receivers.
70:47Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, Keenan Allen. Heath said he prefers Alec Pierce because he could always have that one big play.
70:54Josh Downs, 76% roster right now. Got open a lot.
70:57Didn't really get the ball enough last game. Starters at Tyler Warren, Jamie.
71:01Start. Yeah, tough to get away from him. Terrible game.
71:04He did score a touchdown, but only five targets.
71:07Heath and Dave have Warren in the top five.
71:10Jamie has him eighth. So, you know, still starting him.
71:13Heath Mahomes, how do we feel about him this week?
71:16I think right now he is in the top 12 conversation for me.
71:20If you look at my projections, the difference between Jordan Love at QB11 and Patrick Mahomes at QB15 is less than a half of a point.
71:28But I think with how run heavy the Chiefs went and the fact that we expect the Chiefs to be playing ahead
71:35in this game, I would rather not start Patrick Mahomes.
71:38But I don't have to run away from him if I've got him.
71:42I'd rather start Patrick Mahomes than Jackson Dart and Trevor Lawrence.
71:46So you have, like, two ways to look at the performance last week.
71:50Great that he ran, right? Because that was a concern and didn't show any hesitation in doing so.
71:56Great that you got the little pop pass touchdown because that's always an easy way to get points for him.
72:02The run game was awesome, as Heath just said.
72:05Rashi Rice, we have some questions about how just good he'll be top end production.
72:09And so that, I think, limits the receiving core.
72:12You got the huge play from Travis Kelsey, which to me is fluky.
72:16And less than 200 yards passing. So is he going to be a touchdown-dependent quarterback, which would be great.
72:22And then you get some of the big yardage pops on top of it.
72:27I just don't want to run back to Patrick Mahomes because he had 25 fantasy points last week.
72:32The one thing I'm really curious about, and I think Jamie's higher on Emmitt Johnson.
72:37I might move him up based on this, but I wonder if they try to get Rice going and don't want to give Walker too much this week.
72:46It's a short week, and he just had 26 touches.
72:49Dude, it was crazy that he was still in the game late in the game.
72:53They said career-high something. I don't know if it was something yardage record.
72:58There was something that they had just got close to, or maybe it was Walker's career.
73:03And I was like, okay, this makes sense. They're trying to get him something when he finally came out of the field.
73:09But I was like, it's a short week, and what are you doing?
73:13Right. Yeah. Yeah, I think his touches were high, 26 touches.
73:17Just to throw this out there, I don't want to see Jameer Gibbs get 29 carries every week.
73:23That's a little scary. But do you want to see B.
73:26John Robinson get a 53% target share every week?
73:29I mean, I'd rather it be catches than carries, right?
73:32Anyway, Mahomes, yeah, Jamey, you're about the same on Mahomes.
73:35You have him 17th. Heath has him 15th. Dave has him 18th.
73:39So we'd like to get away from him. Rasheed Rice is 17th-ish for everyone, 16th to 18th in the rankings for Dave, Jamey, and Heath.
73:47We talked a lot about Rasheed Rice yesterday. I have concerns.
73:50I hope he bounces back. I hope he shows more.
73:53We're going to sit Xavier Worthy. That's his name.
73:56Kelsey. How would you compare Kelsey to the guys that we may have picked up lately, Heath?
74:01Dalton Schultz, Jawan Johnson. Who was the other guy?
74:04Michael Mayer. Michael Mayer. There he is. So I would start Michael Mayer and Hunter Henry over Travis Kelsey, but I probably
74:11wouldn't make a move to do that unless I just had somebody I wanted to drop.
74:16I have Kelsey one spot ahead of Johnson, two spots ahead of Schultz, but they're all the same guy in the projection.
74:23So I wouldn't argue too strong for any of those guys.
74:26Okay. Let's read some questions from the chat. Rice or Parker Washington?
74:30Washington. Rice. Mahomes or Brissett? Mahomes. Kelsey or Kincaid?
74:33Kincaid. I have Kincaid one spot ahead of, or two spots ahead of Kelsey.
74:37Rice or DJ Moore? Moore. Moore. Rice or Garrett Wilson?
74:40Wilson. Rice. How are we feeling about Xavier Worthy?
74:43Drop a bull if you need a roster spot.
74:46I was encouraged by, I think his route participation was a career high, but it didn't really help.
74:52I probably wouldn't drop him quite yet. I think if you have any concerns about Rasheed Rice and you saw week one
74:59where Xavier Worthy had three times as many targets as Rasheed Rice.
75:02Oh, I thought you were going to say, and you saw week one where the Colts were chasing Zay Flowers all around the field.
75:10Oh, that's true. Yeah. But also the average route depth for Xavier Worthy was seven yards, which is pretty low.
75:16In fact, I think it's low. It was low.
75:19It's a yard lower than what it was for Rasheed Rice.
75:22So big issue for Worthy has just been like, he's this deep ball guy that they can never connect.
75:28I guess what I'm saying is I'd be patient with Worthy if you share the same concerns that I do, that I have.
75:35And it looks like we're going to sit the DSTs.
75:39Well, the Chiefs are kind of borderline, and we'll sit the Colts.
75:42All right. Green Bay is at the Jets. Stat of the game.
75:46The Titans facing the Jets last week had the fifth lowest pressure rate and zero sacks.
75:51And Geno Smith had his fifth highest completion rate of his career.
75:55I went back and watched the tape for this game, and I think they played pretty well offensively.
76:01It wasn't amazing or anything, but really looked competent.
76:03On time, solid performance against a defense that, again, had nothing in the Titans' defense.
76:08Packers, we'll see what they have. Okay. We talked about Jordan Love at the top of the show.
76:14You guys both have Jordan Love 11th. Marshawn Lloyd, we've talked about a ton.
76:18But Heath is higher on Marshawn Lloyd than Jamie.
76:21I guess I'll throw out some Marshawn Lloyds. Marshawn Lloyd or Xavier Hutchinson if Nico were out?
76:26Lloyd. Lloyd. Marshawn Lloyd or Stefan Diggs at Dallas?
76:29Diggs. Diggs and full PPR, Lloyd and everything else.
76:32Marshawn Lloyd or a Colts wide receiver at the Chiefs?
76:35Lloyd. Okay. So come on, Marshawn Lloyd. Make me look good.
76:38I have a lot of Marshawn Lloyd. All right.
76:41All right. How are we approaching the Christian Watsons?
76:44Now, how are we approaching the Green Bay wide receivers, Jamie?
76:47Watson is a must start. Golden is a maybe start.
76:51Reed is a stash. So the disappointing one was obviously Reed.
76:54You know, the fact that he had seven targets, I would sign up for that on a week-to-week basis.
77:00Hopefully that continues. Golden, 12 targets was fantastic. Watson looked the part of being an alpha receiver.
77:05And hopefully that continues. So this is what we were hoping for.
77:09A lot of volume from the passing game. 42 pass attempts.
77:12Love has been great. Basically, his career, every time he's been over 30.
77:17So keep that going. And then continue to feature the four guys in the offense when you factor in Tucker Craft.
77:23So I don't know how many. Golden and Jalen Coker are very similar.
77:27Like, you know, you drafted these guys relatively late.
77:30Do you have spots in your lineup to put them in?
77:33So you're trying to force two guys coming off strong performances that you could see having success once again into your team.
77:40I think Golden is a definite starter in three receiver leagues and a potential flex in two receiver leagues.
77:46Again, I wouldn't give up on Reed just yet.
77:49Would you start Marshawn Lloyd or Matthew Golden? Golden and PPR easily.
77:53Golden and PPR, Lloyd and everything else. Christian Watson or Parker Washington?
77:57A question from the chat. Parker. Both. But Parker.
77:59Tucker Craft is a start this week. He ran less than half the routes and he had 65 yards on six targets.
78:06He's so good. Sit Geno Smith. Start Brees Hall.
78:09Start Garrett Wilson. Shout out to Adonai Mitchell. Three targets.
78:12Turned it into 60 yards, but we can't start him yet.
78:16And Kenyon Sadiq, we're not going to start. You guys like the Packers DST.
78:20You like the Packers or the Chiefs this week?
78:23Packers. I have the Packers. Keith mentioned the Broncos being pissed off.
78:27I can't imagine that everything is going really well in Wisconsin right now without that game unfolded against the Vikings.
78:33So. All right. Questions from the chat. Jaden Reed or Jalen Coker?
78:37Coker. Pick two. Christian Watson, Parker Washington, Malik Neighbors.
78:39I would sit Watson. Start all three, but I would sit Watson.
78:43Jaden Reed, RJ Harvey or Pat Bryant? Oh boy.
78:46I'd go with Reed. If Harvey plays, it'll be Harvey.
78:49If not, it'll be Reed. Okay. From Jared. Adam, it's beard time.
78:53Take Heath's offer and be done with it by Thanksgiving.
78:56It's time to pay the piper. I think, yeah, I think you might be right.
79:01I really, I didn't like the way they used Devante Smith.
79:04Way too much downfield stuff. I could tell you that right now.
79:08Devante Smith had a 6% slot rate. That's crazy.
79:11It was about 50% each of the last two seasons.
79:14About 22% before that. 11.1 yard average route depth.
79:1713.2 yard ADOT. But, I mean, that's just, I don't like seeing that.
79:21I want to see some easier stuff from Devante Smith.
79:24I don't want him to have to rely on big plays.
79:27Well, just to be clear, that offer was on Sunday.
79:30So, now it's Thursday. You know the offer's still on the table.
79:34It would just be that you would wear the beard through Thanksgiving until the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
79:39Oh, gosh. How could I do that? It's Thanksgiving.
79:42My family's going to be there. What am I doing?
79:45Right, Raiders and Chargers. Sit Cousins. Start Gentee. Any interest in going back to Trey Tucker?
79:50I mean, he ran 87% of the routes. I don't think Trey Tucker is a guy that just because he had a
79:57bad game in week one, he can't have a good game in week two.
80:02That's just kind of who he is. So, what do we do with that, Heath?
80:06Boom, bust, flex. He's still in my top 48.
80:09I agree with you. If I had to start a Raiders wide receiver, which you probably don't, he would be my favorite Raiders wide receiver to start.
80:18But, you're right. He's the type of player you don't overreact to one week in either direction.
80:23I totally agree, but this is also the type of guy on your roster that if you want to speculate on a
80:30Texans receiver or a Patriots receiver, that particular player could easily be better than Trey Tucker until the starting wide receiver comes back who they were placing.
80:38I hope the Chargers defense can bounce back. They were so bad against the Cardinals last week.
80:44And Michael Mayer, as of yesterday, 33% rostered. I dropped Michael Mayer, but I feel like people won't pick him up.
80:50And I will pick him up again. And I was disappointed, but I think that seven targets, Jamie, was encouraging.
80:56And they're all pretty much short area stuff. He's really low ADOT.
81:00But he's a big part of the offense. So, you know, I'll pick him back up.
81:05I dropped him just in case Bowers plays. I wanted to pick up some guys.
81:10But, yeah, I mean, you have him ninth. Heath has him seventh.
81:14Dave has him 11th. We're cool with Michael Mayer.
81:16It's that worry more about the target share, too, than the targets.
81:20Because the Raiders probably won't have very many games the rest of the year.
81:25We're in that type of game script. Yeah, 30 pass attempts is not super low, but it's pretty low.
81:30I'm guessing league average is probably in the 33-ish range.
81:34You might know that, Heath. But 30 is low for Kirk Cousins last week.
81:38Jamie, how do you feel about Justin Herbert? I'm sure it's a Ladd McConkie thing, but how do you feel about him?
81:45Discouraged, clearly. I mean, you know, somebody had high expectations for him, and the offensive line let him down.
81:51But I would have liked to see Ladd McConkie finish that game.
81:55I think you've got to consider what your lineup looks like.
81:58So, if you can carry two quarterbacks, you stash Herbert, and you play Jordan Love, you play Baker Mayfield, you play guys
82:05that have better matchups and are coming off in the case of Love a better game.
82:10So, I don't know. I don't have many teams.
82:13Similar to Drake May. Like, I don't have many teams where I drafted those guys that I'm cutting players at this point to pick up a second quarterback.
82:21Or there's a good enough second quarterback out there.
82:24And that says a lot because I like Bryce Young's matchup this week.
82:28I just wouldn't want to drop somebody to pick up Bryce Young to start over Herbert.
82:33Or the same thing with May. Look, the Raiders' defense played very well last week.
82:38It was against Malik Willis and the Dolphins. You know, so hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, McConkie or not, you get a good game
82:45from Justin Herbert, and you feel a lot better about him moving forward.
82:49Okay, he's 16th for you. And Heath, you actually like Herbert this week.
82:53Have him 10th? It's, yeah, very similar, I think, to where I had him in the preseason.
82:58I think, I don't think this Raiders' secondary is very good.
83:02I think he'll be able to have enough success with Quentin Johnston and Trey Harris and David Njoku.
83:07Okay, so you're going to start him even if Lab McConkie does not play.
83:12Start Hampton. Yeah, Quentin Johnston. Heath, you said you're going right back to him if McConkie's out.
83:17And if McConkie's in, not so much. Yeah, he'll be in that Trey Tucker range if McConkie's in.
83:23Jamie, where do you have Quentin Johnston? Top 30.
83:26You know, that's the number two receiver, essentially. And good game against the Raiders last year at the start of the season.
83:32He should see an uptick in targets. At least that would be the hope.
83:37I mean, this is where, if you're Mike McDaniel, you better come out with something quick.
83:42Because it was bad against what I still think is a bad defense.
83:46And like Heath said, this should be a bad Raiders defense, too.
83:50So hopefully they protect him. Hopefully he gets some chances to make some plays.
83:54Maybe he goes back to running a little bit.
83:57That was a big part of his game last year as well.
84:01So they just need to be better across the board.
84:04Involve Hampton in the passing game. That would help.
84:07If Njoku's your guy, okay, cool. Feature him a little bit more, too.
84:11Get some shots down the field to Quentin Johnson.
84:13The wild card in all this really is Trey Harris if there is no McConkie.
84:18So, you know, another situation where, you know, the Trey Tuckers of the world, the Josh Downs of the world, you know,
84:25the receivers that are at the end of your bench, do you move off of them to pick up Harris in case
84:32this McConkie injury is not just this week, but it's long-term?
84:35Doesn't sound like that, but I think Harris is in that pick-your-favorite Patriots, pick-your-favorite Texans conversation, and hopefully he delivers.
84:42But there's a lot more upside for him just based on his pedigree.
84:46I want to just highlight one question from the chat just because I was the optimistic guy on Herbert, and he says, man, I don't know.
84:54I have Purdy. I'm starting Purdy. Yes, 100%. Purdy's a top-five quarterback.
84:58That's not somebody I'd much rather start him than Herbert.
85:01And I'm going to ask this tomorrow because we're an hour and 21 minutes in, and people might have tuned out by now.
85:08But we've got A.J. Brown, Zay Flowers, Lad McConkie, Nico Collins, I said Lad McConkie.
85:13That might be it for, like, injured star receivers.
85:15I want to know who your favorite guy is out of Hutchinson, Hollins.
85:19I won't say Romeo Dobbs. He's so rostered. But Hutchinson, Matt Collins, Trey Tucker, if we throw Brock Bowers' injury in there,
85:26Trey Harris, who ran every route in the fourth quarter with Lad McConkie out.
85:31That's the one. That's the one, Trey Harris? Yeah.
85:34All right. I'll ask it again tomorrow. We'll get Dave's opinion on it.
85:38And honestly, I think David Njoku is another reason why I was fine dropping Michael Mayer.
85:43So I was like, look, if someone picks up Michael Mayer, there's David Njoku, there's Dalton Schultz, there's guys.
85:49Like, Njoku had five targets last game. Three of his targets came without Lad McConkie.
85:53I figured that they had. Right? I'd start Njoku with, if McConkie's not in, I'd start him over Fannin and Pitts.
86:00Yeah, exactly. He's not a bad option. You wouldn't start Pitts, though.
86:04The quarterback's better, though, right? If any other quarterback besides Cooper, I think if anybody besides Cooper Rush plays quarterback, put Adam
86:10at quarterback and I'm starting Kyle Pitts. All right.
86:13Philadelphia is at Tennessee. I already talked about the trend for Devontae Smith that I don't like.
86:19Here's another thing I didn't love. Saquon Barkley only ran 27% of the routes.
86:23The previous two seasons with the Eagles, he ran about 60% of the routes, and he didn't have a catch last week.
86:30The good thing is he didn't come off the field that much on third down.
86:35He just did a lot of blocking. He didn't run the routes.
86:38But I thought without A.J. Brown that they'd involve him more in the passing game because they had in the past.
86:45And in week one, it was a dud. It was one catch.
86:49One catch for negative three yards for Barkley. Who ran really well, though.
86:53That's the good thing. Start Hurts. Start Barkley. Devontae Smith, we're going back to him.
86:57You guys have him in the top 13. Dave has Devontae Smith 20th.
87:01And Dallas Goddard, we talked about earlier during one question for each game.
87:05We talked about him earlier. He's fourth for Jamie and 10th for Heath.
87:10There's not a Titan we want to start. But who would be the best?
87:14One deal. Cardinal Tate. Would you start Trey Harris over those guys if McConkie's out?
87:19Yes. I would start Wandale over Harris. Eagles DST is number one for both of you, number four for Dave.
87:25Do you feel like I shortchanged this game? Is there anything else you want to talk about?
87:30Wicks. Not there yet with Wicks. Wicks is in that Patriots-Texans mess.
87:34If you need a receiver. Yeah, this one's an easy game.
87:37Okay. Let's see if I have any questions for this game.
87:41I don't think so. I'll go back to the last one.
87:44Yeah, Wicks or DeMarcus Robinson one for the deepest of leagues.
87:48Who'd you go with? Johnson. No, no, no. Wicks or DeMarcus Robinson.
87:51Not an option. I'm at Wicks. Quentin Johnson or Chris Godwin?
87:55Oh, sorry, Heath. No, that's good. Quentin Johnson or Chris Godwin?
87:58John. Johnson if there's no lead. Quentin Johnson or Devon Vele?
88:02Johnson. Bryce Young or Justin Herbert? Herbert. Herbert. Devontae Smith or Christian Watson?
88:06Ooh. Smith. Smith. All right. All right. Thanks for watching and listening, everybody.
88:10Sorry this show went so long. One other thing to keep in mind.
88:14If you adopt the Adam Azer playoff strategy, the playoff format.
88:17This is why the show went so long. Not really.
88:21If you adopt this playoff format, you can win one round in the playoffs or get a buy, and then you can
88:27tell everyone you made the finals of your league.
88:30This is the most ridiculous. This is the perfect Adam Azer hosting.
88:34It's like we are almost an hour and a half, but we need to spend a couple more minutes on my crazy
88:41idea that I'm never going to do. How many leagues again do you commission?
88:45I don't know. Four. Well, I'm the commissioner of 36 FFT Open Leagues.
88:49Does that count? No, that doesn't count. So you have your softball league?
88:53I don't want to get into this. No, no.
88:56I want to know. You have your softball league?
88:59Softball, both podcast leagues, Bake Burger. Or maybe one more.
89:02You're already doing this in 36 leagues. This basically is the playoff format in the FFT Open.
89:07Yeah, it kind of is. Exactly. Good. Oh, the Eliminator League?
89:11Yeah. The Eliminator League. The Eliminator League, we do eight-peck scoring, which is great.
89:15I have two more commissioner tips for you. I'll give them to you tomorrow.
89:20We'll talk to you later on Fantasy Football Today.
89:22Podcasts. Hey, our ride's almost here. Are you ready?
