Alec Pierce

PositiveBreakout23:00

Pierce is cited as part of the Colts' receiving group alongside Michael Pittman; the source uses the Colts' unexpected offensive jump last year (described as 'one of the top 10 offenses of the 21st century' that 'nobody saw coming') as evidence that coaching and quarterback changes can unlock massive offensive improvements, suggesting Pierce could be part of a similar breakout scenario.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

NegativeRole0:13

Alvin Kamara is now positioned as the Saints' third-down back in the new offense, a reduced role from his previous usage. The Saints brought in Travis Etienne as the primary running back, signaling a shift in Kamara's offensive role.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveRole71:00

Selected as captain's pick in leadership draft segment; described as a guy with confidence and swag who isn't afraid to talk trash; positioned as someone you want to follow and be around both on and off the field.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveProjection47:30

Bijan Robinson is a top-two pick in the Falcons offense under Kevin Stefanski, who has led teams to 11-win seasons twice and won Coach of the Year twice. The Falcons have a strong offensive line with Bill Callahan, considered the best offensive line coach in the NFL, which raises the floor of the offense. If Tua plays, he will likely complete a lot of passes and distribute PPR points to Bijan, making him a strong value at his draft position.

Insight page
NegativeProjection56:05

Expected to go number two overall in drafts; the primary action item for Atlanta's offense is whether to take him at pick one or focus on other Falcons skill players like Drake London, Kyle Pitts, or Marcus Mariota.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection19:24

Brock Bowers might be the best tight end in football and possibly a top 10 pass catcher overall; elite skill player in the Raiders breakout offense with explosive playmaking ability in key situations.

Insight page
PositiveRole22:40

Clint Kubiak views Bowers as the number one receiver on the Raiders; the source emphasizes that Bowers is the focal point of the Raiders' receiving attack, with Jackson Smith-Njigba and other receivers secondary to him, positioning Bowers as the primary target in the offense.

Insight page
PositiveValue25:40

Brock Bowers is a second-round draft pick in the Raiders offense and one of only two top-15 draft targets on the team; if the Raiders offense is merely average, Bowers becomes an incredible buy as the primary target funnel alongside Hyatt.

Insight page
PositiveProjection27:23

Brock Bowers is cited as a key talent piece supporting the Raiders' potential offensive breakout under Clint Kubiak. The source expresses confidence that the presence of Bowers (alongside Gentie) makes it plausible the Raiders could be a top-10 offense by midseason, and notes that Kubiak's system is designed to maximize talent like Bowers.

Insight page

Calvin Ridley

NegativeRole65:00

Mentioned as part of Titans' deep offensive skill group; positioned alongside Carnell Tate and other receivers in the offense; part of broader discussion about Titans' talent depth.

Insight page

Cam Ward

PositiveProjection59:00

Positioned as a year-two leap candidate under Brian Dable's play-calling; described as a gunslinger with confidence and swag; the source notes he could perform similarly to Caleb Williams' rookie season with miraculous throws and improvisation, though his worst plays can be problematic; better prospect than Daniel Jones but tier below Menzies.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveSleeper59:00

Fourth overall pick flying under the radar as not a top-60 fantasy pick; described as instantly a top-10 contested catch receiver in football; positioned as underrated rookie despite strong draft capital; will siphon some targets from Wanda Robinson but still valuable.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection0:13

Chris Olave is the Saints' number 12 receiver in ADP (third-round range) and is in his prime after signing a big deal. He's a proven weapon in Kellen Moore's fast-paced, pass-heavy offense that runs the fastest pace in the league (snapping every 27 seconds). The Saints' top-10 offensive line and elite schedule support his upside.

Insight page

Cooper Kupp

PositiveRole22:30

The source notes that the Seahawks signed Kupp primarily for his willingness as a blocker and his intelligence in understanding the X's and O's on the field; Kupp's ability to motion and play anywhere in the offense, combined with his blocking and zone coverage knowledge, makes him valuable beyond traditional receiving production, suggesting his role is more about offensive versatility and scheme fit than pure target volume.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeDepth Chart23:13

The Seahawks traded away Metcalf last year, which the source identifies as a major change that made the Seahawks' offense look like 'a deep thing' that needed Tori Horton to catch a bunch of touchdowns; the source expected the Seahawks to regress offensively after losing Metcalf, but they did not, suggesting the trade was a significant roster move that altered the team's receiving landscape.

Insight page

Dont'e Thornton

NegativeRole21:12

Dante Thornton is probably not a big factor in the Raiders offense.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeProjection47:30

Drake London was wide receiver three overall in the first 11 weeks of last season before suffering a PCL injury that affected his performance for the remainder of the year. He looked like a dominant outside receiver in the first half of the season, but there is concern about whether Tua will throw into contested situations with London the same way he did with Tyreek Hill. There may be significant splits between Michael Penix and Tua at quarterback, with Penix likely not practicing until early September, suggesting Tua will be the starter.

Insight page
PositiveValue56:05

Positioned as a bet worth making in Atlanta's improved offensive environment with Bill Callahan as offensive line coach; the source is confident in London's production given the Falcons' offensive line upgrade and scheme improvements.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

NegativeRole24:03

The Raiders drafted Mendoza as the number one pick and Heisman national champion with an undefeated record; the source believes Mendoza will not play until he is better than Kirk Cousins, whether that means Cousins plays poorly, Mendoza plays amazingly, or Cousins gets injured; the source expects the Raiders to play Cousins until they believe Mendoza gives them a better shot at winning.

Insight page

Gardner Minshew

NegativeProjection0:19

The Raiders are transitioning from Gino Smith to either Kirk Cousins or Fernando Mendoza at quarterback, representing a theoretical improvement in quarterback play. This quarterback upgrade is a key variable in the Raiders' potential breakout offense.

Insight page

Jack Bech

NegativeBust20:48

Jack Besh hasn't done anything since being drafted in the second round last year; limited fantasy relevance in the Raiders receiver core.

Insight page

Jahan Dotson

NegativeRole50:00

Johan Dotson is the Falcons' fourth passing option in an offense with nine first-round picks. While the speaker notes they always liked Dotson, having him as the number two receiver is concerning given the depth of talent ahead of him. His role is limited in this offense despite being a first-round pick.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

NegativeRole21:27

Jalen Naylor, signed in free agency from the Vikings where he was their third receiver, is now going to be extensively the Raiders' number one receiver; has experience but limited upside in a receiver core anchored by Bowers and Gentry.

Insight page

Jalin Hyatt

PositiveValue25:40

Jalin Hyatt is a first-round draft pick in the Raiders offense, positioned as a top-15 draft target; the Raiders' offensive upside is concentrated in elite talent like Hyatt, making him a core piece if the offense performs at average or above-average levels.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveBreakout23:00

Taylor is cited as part of the Colts' receiving group in the context of the Colts' unexpected offensive jump last year (described as 'one of the top 10 offenses of the 21st century' that 'nobody saw coming'); the source argues that coaching and quarterback changes can unlock massive offensive improvements, suggesting Taylor could benefit from similar offensive momentum.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveValue42:57

Jordan Addison is sitting at 109 in ADP as the 44th wide receiver off the board, but his first two seasons in the league saw 900 yards and nearly 10 touchdowns per season on average. He had a down year last year for multiple reasons and is now back. If the Vikings offense is really good, Addison will be significantly better than the 109th player off the board. He is comparable to early-career Calvin Ridley opposite Julio Jones, benefiting from one-on-one coverage in the end zone while defenses focus on Jefferson.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper65:00

Positioned as one of two Jordans the source likes alongside Jordan Tyson; part of Vikings offensive discussion as a player to target.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

PositiveValue39:18

Jordan Mason is the cheapest starting running back in fantasy; he doesn't get many catches, which is why he goes late, but he's likely to get twice as many carries inside the five as last year. A carry from the two-yard line is approximately seven times more valuable than a carry from the 19-yard line, making red zone touches the key metric. Mason is game-script reliant but could be massive value if the Vikings offense performs well this year.

Insight page
NegativeRole65:00

Mentioned as the last running back left in Vikings discussion; positioned as part of broader Vikings offensive discussion.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

PositiveBreakout0:14

Jordan Tyson, the ninth overall pick, is a top-tier talent with elite athleticism; his only college knock was injuries, but from a talent perspective he might be the number one receiver in the class. He's going around ADP peers like Kyle Pitts, DK Metcalf, Tony Pollard, RJ Harvey, Marvin Harrison, Chris Godwin, and Rico Dowdle, but should be taken over all of them based on talent upside and fit in the Saints' fast-paced, pass-heavy offense.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper65:00

Positioned as the player the source is most intrigued by and most convinced to take from Saints offense; described as a key player to target in the Saints breakout narrative.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveRole72:00

Selected as captain's pick in leadership draft; described as a big man you can literally get behind who will lead you into battle; noted as understated off the field, plays through injuries, and has players' respect in locker room.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveValue41:57

Justin Jefferson may not be a first-round pick this year despite being the only Vikings player going inside the top 100 in ADP. He had one bad season with a terrible quarterback situation last year. If Kyler Murray works out and the Vikings offense is good, Jefferson could be a steal, as he will get the football and defenses will struggle to cover him. The Vikings are the only team with one player in the top 100 despite winning 14 games two years ago with Sam Darnold.

Insight page

Kirk Cousins

PositiveProjection19:12

Upgrade from Gino Smith at quarterback; Cousins represents a theoretical big improvement, though dependent on early-season form and health. Gino turned the ball over more than anyone last year except Sam Darnold, so cutting down turnovers could be a massive boon for the Raiders offense.

Insight page
NegativeRole24:03

Cousins is the starting quarterback for the Raiders; the source believes the Raiders will play Cousins until they think Fernando Mendoza gives them a better shot at winning, suggesting Cousins' role is secure in the short term but potentially vulnerable if Mendoza develops quickly.

Insight page
NegativeProjection25:13

Kirk Cousins' upgrade over Geno Smith is marginal at best; the key question is whether 12-14 weeks of Kirk Cousins production is sufficient to sustain the Raiders' offensive upside, given uncertainty around durability and the team's low playoff odds.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveProjection47:30

Kyle Pitts' performance last year, particularly the way he was running and moving around, was really encouraging. In a Tua-led offense that emphasizes quick passes and distribution, Pitts could receive significant PPR points. The Falcons have multiple first-round picks in their offense, and Pitts is part of a three-receiver core with Bijan Robinson and Drake London.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout56:05

Described as 'back' and a key action item for Atlanta's offense; the source expresses confidence in Pitts' potential in the improved Falcons scheme with better offensive line play and coaching.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveValue41:18

Kyler Murray is going after kickers on the Sleeper platform, making him a massive value at the quarterback position. He ran for nearly 500 yards two years ago, almost tying Josh Allen for the most among quarterbacks, and remains athletic enough to provide dual-threat upside. If the Vikings offense works well, Murray will get the ball to Justin Jefferson without issue.

Insight page
PositiveValue65:00

Going as 10th-round quarterback but could easily be taken alongside Drake Maye if he has a good year in Minnesota; positioned as individual favorite player; could see significant ADP rise if Vikings offense performs well.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeRole73:00

Selected as captain's pick in leadership draft; described as real and authentic without PR handlers or agents; noted for having sass and being himself; speed rated 96 in Madden; concern raised about digestive issues affecting playoff performance.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

NegativeRole56:05

Mentioned as a potential action item in Atlanta's offense alongside Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts; part of the broader discussion about which Falcons skill players to target.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeDepth Chart48:00

Michael Penix Jr. is the backup quarterback for the Falcons but won't practice until early September, making Tua Tagovailoa the likely starter. The question of whether Penix and Tua are better than any quarterback Kevin Stefanski had on the Browns is debatable, given Stefanski's history with Baker Mayfield, Jacoby Brissett, Deshaun Watson, and others. Penix's left-handedness could be a factor in play-calling adjustments if he enters the game.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

PositiveBreakout23:00

Pittman is cited as part of the Colts' receiving group alongside Alec Pierce; the source uses the Colts' unexpected offensive jump last year (described as 'one of the top 10 offenses of the 21st century' that 'nobody saw coming') as evidence that coaching and quarterback changes can unlock massive offensive improvements, suggesting Pittman could be part of a similar breakout scenario.

Insight page

Rashid Shaheed

PositiveRole22:40

The source notes that Rashid Shaheed is a better receiving option than what the Raiders have at wide receiver, positioning him as a stronger talent than the Raiders' current receiving group; this comparison suggests Shaheed's role and production potential with the Saints is more favorable than the Raiders' receiving situation.

Insight page

T.J. Hockenson

PositiveSleeper45:09

TJ Hockenson is undrafted, which is understandable given his age and injury history, but he is in a contract year and represents a potential breakout candidate. He took less money after an ACL injury, which is typically a negative sign, but he now has a good quarterback in Kyler Murray after JJ McCarthy's tenure. Hockenson would be the single least surprising tight end to finish top 10 among all players outside the top 16, and it's notable that he is completely unrostered despite this upside.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

NegativeValue64:00

Positioned as a player who will fall in drafts due to lack of excitement despite solid talent; not a player the source loves at cost but acknowledges he's the perfect example of a boring player who drops a round or two; hesitant to recommend solely because higher-upside players exist in the same range.

Insight page

Tory Horton

NegativeUsage23:13

Horton was relied upon to catch a bunch of touchdowns for the Seahawks last year after the team traded DK Metcalf; the source uses Horton's role as evidence that the Seahawks' offense was expected to regress but did not, suggesting Horton filled a significant receiving role in the absence of Metcalf.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeValue0:15

Travis Etienne (formerly Travis ETN) is the Saints' running back alongside Alvin Kamara, but may not be perceived as an incredible bargain in drafts. However, as of mid-August, Saints players like Etienne are unlikely to become sexy draft picks and will likely be available at cost or lower, presenting potential value if the Saints' offense exceeds expectations.

Insight page
PositiveValue67:00

Positioned as a value buy-the-dip candidate; source thinks he could end up stealing valuable touches from Camara but still believes he'll be involved in passing game; positioned as value in Jaguars offense despite Camara competition.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

NegativeRole20:43

Trey Tucker is a speed, deep threat and speed crosser threat who could be good on play action and downfield throws, but is a fine skill player or role player at best in the Raiders receiver core.

Insight page
NegativeProjection25:43

Trey Tucker's fantasy relevance is contingent on the Raiders offense being significantly better than expected; if the team underperforms, Tucker will not be relevant, making him a risky bet outside the top two pass catchers.

Insight page

Tua Tagovailoa

NegativeProjection48:00

Tua led the NFL in passing yards two years ago and was still the 18th best quarterback despite that achievement. In 2023, his offense had Tyreek Hill with almost 1,800 yards and 13 touchdowns, and Mostert and Achane were both top-five in fantasy on a per-game basis. Under Kevin Stefanski's system, Tua is willing to do whatever the coach wants, unlike Deshaun Watson who had a power struggle over offensive philosophy. Tua will likely be the Falcons' starting quarterback, as Michael Penix won't practice until early September. He will complete a lot of passes in the Stefanski system, though the offense may not be fun to watch.

1:04Today I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck.
1:07And today we are going to go through and find out who is this year's Colts, a.k.a.
1:11the shocking team that nobody really sees coming. But we're going to see them coming, maybe.
1:16But before we do that, we're going to take a quick break.
1:19This episode is presented by Verizon. Let me tell you all about Verizon's new simplicity plan.

1:42Additional taxes, fees, and terms apply. Unlimited data is restricted to on-device smartphone usage, domestic data roaming at 2G speed.
1:48All right, let's get to who's going to be this year's Colts.
1:51This year's Colts complimentary, not derogatory. Hopefully this year.
1:53First half of the year, Colt. This year's Colts, a.k.a.
1:56the team that no one really sees coming in a fantasy vein.
2:00You know, a bunch of high-scoring games, high-scoring star players, and basically league-winning type players on their team.
2:05Jonathan Taylor last year, at least until the wheels fell off, was like that.
2:09I mean, do you guys remember when he was scoring like three touchdowns every game?
2:13He had three games with three different touchdowns. He had four and three in one month.
2:17Yeah. So, three touchdowns is a hat trick. He had a hat trick inside of a hat.
2:22He had a hat trick of hat tricks in a month.
2:25Tyler Warren was going crazy. Yeah. Alec Pierce was doing well.
2:28Everybody, Daniel Jones was absolutely cooking. The entire offense came out of nowhere.
2:32And the goal of today is to find maybe are there one or two offenses this year that we think could do
2:38what the Colts did last year and be filled with fantasy upsets.
2:41And that is like one of the bigger, if you can identify those teams before the season, it is like one of
2:48the simplest ways to just kind of be dominant is all the players are on a great offense.
2:53And just to put a button on just how good the Colts were, because again, first half of the season.
2:58So funny. Look at these stats. Cause I keep waiting for it to be wrong.
3:03The Colts halfway through the season. So eight weeks, halfway through the season, Colts are the best record in the NFL at seven and one.
3:10They led the league in all the counting stats.
3:12So yards points, touchdowns, but also all the advanced stats.
3:15So expected points added per play and expected points at a total.
3:18And my favorite, which is just, if you look at like total EPA, which is like expected points added in the 21st century.
3:25So since 2000, the best teams ever are the 2007 Patriots who went 16 and 0.
3:29The revolutionized offensive football. Yep. Literally unbeaten. And then the with Tom Brady and Randy Moss and Wes Walker.
3:35Then you have, don't forget Dante Stallworth. Don't forget.
3:37And then you have Peyton Manning's best three seasons ever, which include not once, but twice breaking the touchdown passes record.
3:43Like two different Peyton Manning touchdown passing records. The 20, 2000 Rams greatest show on turf.
3:47The chiefs in 2018, when Patrick Holmes through 50 touchdown passes.
3:51So three people on this list through 50 touchdown passes.
3:53And then it was the 2025 Colts. And then it was a team quarterbacked by the guy, the New York Giants were like, we're good.
4:00Daniel. You guys don't even get me started. Quarterback you guys hate.
4:04But the point being that if you're a, look, it's not that every year there's going to be a team like the Colts that are on this list.
4:12Although maybe, but it's more just which team do you think people are really wrong about that?
4:16It's just going to be like way higher than everyone's that people don't see.
4:20And then if you can get two players on your team from that team, then you're probably gonna be doing pretty sitting pretty pretty pretty pretty.
4:28That's a weird thing to say. I like that.
4:30Sitting pretty pretty. Sure. That's a new phrase you just invented.
4:33Pretty pretty sitting pretty pretty. No, we get it.
4:36Yeah, we get it. Anyway, okay. Has the pretty pretty.
4:39That's his. But yeah, Craig, who's the first team that you think could actually we have to we I do.
4:44I wanted to just give the parameters of what I was thinking about.
4:48What is it mean to qualify? I think it is essential that there have to be real questions about the quarterback for its account.
4:55Yes. As a cold. Yeah, like look here. We tried to select teams that you truly wouldn't see coming.
5:00That's the point of this the same way nobody talked about the Colts last year.
5:04These are teams with like a top 10 pick in the draft this year.
5:08These are teams of the quarterback questions like we're not just going to walk in and be like, I think the Bears are going to be really good.
5:16All of their their players are inflated the way like Luther Byrd is going in the third or fourth round.
5:22These are teams that aren't really discussed for whatever reason.
5:24And the team I want to start with is the New Orleans Saints, who I think have a shot to be this year's Colts.
5:31One, there's also some similarities. It's like former Eagles offensive coordinators turned head coaches on a team that's trying to find their
5:37footing after losing their their longtime quarterback and replacing them with like a 27 year old quarterback that nobody thought would be good.
5:44That is kind of like Shane Steichen, Daniel Jones to Kellen Moore and Tyler Shuck.
5:48But in general, I do think the Saints for a couple of reasons are kind of flying under the radar.
5:54I think they're kind of outshined by a lot of shinier objects in the league.
5:58Like Kellen Moore is a really talented young still play call.
6:01He's 38 years old. This is this will be his ninth season coaching in the NFL.
6:05He's 38. Wow. So be his eighth season as a play as an offensive coordinator at 38 years old.
6:11But but like Ben Johnson and Liam Cohen and Mike McDaniel and all these guys, I think, overshadow him a little bit,
6:17despite the fact that Kellen Moore was the guy calling plays on that Eagles team that won the Super Bowl.
6:22Kellen Moore was the play caller or the offensive coordinator on the Cowboys when they were leading the league in points.
6:28And now with Tyler Shuck, who I think is another guy who does not get enough love or is not being recognized
6:35really for reasons that I think are fair. Like nobody really thought he'd be good coming out of college.
6:40He was a second round pick. He was old.
6:42He was the same draft class at the same high school class as Trevor Lawrence.
6:47He was just older than Trevor Lawrence. He got hurt like every year in his college career.
6:51He got hurt every year. He broke his collarbone.
6:54He hurt his shoulder. He broke his leg again.
6:56He was Justin Herbert's backup at Oregon. Tyler Shuck.
6:59He'll he'll be 27 years old next month. Yeah, September.
7:02He turns 27 and this is his second year in the NFL.
7:05But despite all that he came in last year and the Saints started poorly.
7:09Shuck came in as a starter. He played 10 games as a starter.
7:13He lost four of his first five, but then they close the season.
7:16It looked like the Saints might have the first pick in the draft.
7:20And it was like, are they going to take Fernando Mendoza?
7:23And then they won four of their last five.
7:26And over those five final games with Shuck starting, the Saints were 14th in points per game.
7:30They were 7th in yards per game. They were 6th in passing yards.
7:34Tyler Shuck himself was the QB 7 in fantasy.
7:37He was 11th in EPA per drop back. He was 11th in success rate.
7:41QB 7 in points per game. Yes. Yeah. He scored 20 points per game.
7:44He was 10th in rushing yards per game. Tyler Shuck, a little bit more mobile.
7:49He was averaging around 30 rushing yards per game, which is more than Drake May had last year.
7:54And you look at the weapons like bringing in Jordan Tyson, the ninth overall pick.
7:58You now have Chris Alave who just signed a big deal.
8:01He's in the, who's in his prime. You have Jordan Tyson, who's by all accounts had a great camp and looks electric.
8:07And the only issue with him in college is really injuries.
8:10But from a talent perspective might be number one in the class.
8:14They brought in Travis Etienne. They still have Alvin Kamara.
8:16I think they have a solid offensive line. They have two top 15 picks at tackle, Fulaga and Kelvin Banks.
8:22They have a solid center. They brought in David Edwards, the guard from Buffalo that gave him $60 million over four years.
8:28And, and, and this team from a coaching perspective, you have Kellen Moore calling plays on offense.
8:33He is, he, they run the fastest offense in the league.
8:36They led the league in plays per minute last year.
8:39They have the fastest pace. They're pass heavy. They're like an analytics nerds dream.
8:43Super pass heavy. And also like the team might not be, I mean, their defensive coordinators is Brandon Staley, who did a
8:49really good job last year with a Saints roster defensively.
8:52That was like middling. And so you just kind of look at this team in a division that feels very winnable in the NFC South.
8:59They have the 30 easiest schedule in the league per sharp football.
9:02Um, and also if you want to even get more granular, they have a fantastic fantasy playoff schedule weeks, 13 to 17.
9:08The Saints play the Panthers bucks Cardinals and Falcons.
9:11So if you believe in like Tyler shock, I says under the radar guy and his team can pick up momentum.
9:17It's a great spot to be in, in the fantasy playoffs.
9:20So that's kind of my overall pitch for why I feel like the Saints are kind of, are kind of, you know, uh, hidden a little bit.
9:28Yeah. Yeah. That is an extremely like well-reasoned, uh, argument.
9:30It's funny because the Saints, I think of all the teams we're going to talk about today might have might check the boxes.
9:37I put together some variables that I thought had to kind of be hit here for a team to be that surprise breakout.
9:43Here's the variables they had four of them new or improved quarterback play.
9:47Um, and I think Jack, the shock thing is basically like people didn't pay attention to the Saints last year.
9:53If you weren't really paying attention that much, he was playing a lot better than anyone expected.
9:57He's not famous. I think like part of it was like, he was not famous in college.
10:02His name is hard to pronounce. I was going to say a year ago, people were still learning to say shock.
10:08Like no one knows who this guy is. And if he just had the same season, but was the 10th pick in
10:14the draft, we'd be thinking about him completely differently.
10:17Totally. Okay. So new and improved quarterback play respected play caller.
10:20I think Kellen Moore has established himself as a good play caller and a savvy sort of forward thinking play caller.
10:26Uh, excellent or highly improved offensive line. I think the Saints, according to Brandon Thorne, who is one of the best experts
10:32on offensive line play, he has them as the seventh ranked offensive line.
10:35I mean, this is a top 10 at the very bottom, um, at the very worst offensive line.
10:41So I think that is huge. And then stud skill players.
10:44And I think they have all, they check all four of those boxes.
10:47I mean, they got a lava. I think Tyson's going to be really good.
10:51They have, uh, obviously two good running backs and ECN and Camara.
10:55I think this is, this is a great call, Craig.
10:57I think this is a team. I think we think about that.
11:01I don't know what you think about what they were under Rattler and it was just kind of like a, an ugly offense.
11:07And now they have potential to be really, really good.
11:10And think back two years when they started off really hot too.
11:13Um, so yeah, this one fits a lot of the, it checks a lot of those boxes.
11:18I really liked this. One thing that I like to focus on is like year two with a new play caller.
11:24And I often feel like sometimes everybody gets all excited about year one with the new hot play caller and it doesn't go that just takes time.
11:32Yes. It takes time. You know, you need a couple of drafts.
11:35You need to like get your footing under you.
11:38You need to find your quarterback. And the saints are kind of a prime candidate here where Kellen Moore going to the
11:44saints was probably like one of the least discussed coaching changes last year, just because of where the saints were and the saints were, were solid last year.
11:52And there's just so much more buzz elsewhere, kind of rightfully so.
11:55But I, I tried not to overlook too much when like year one went okay for a play caller that I really trust.
12:01Cause it takes time. The parts of that, that I think I would echo is just like things that are a really
12:08big deal is the saints having the third easiest schedule per one sharp strength of schedule, which every year you look back on it.
12:14And that matters the Patriots being the best example ever probably last year, which is entering the year where like Patriot schedules really easy.
12:21And it probably became, I don't know if any team's schedule has been a bigger deal or a storyline than the Patriot schedule last year.
12:28Saints being top three, easy schedules, huge. The pace thing you brought up, Craig is huge in that you can only get
12:34fantasy points if they run a play and the saints run plays the most.
12:38Like I think a sharp football has the saints as running the fastest offense.
12:42Basically they snap every 27 seconds. They're leaving 12 or 13 seconds of the play clock.
12:47They play fast and their defense is like, could be fine.
12:50I think the saints could win the NFC North or sorry, the NFC South very easily.
12:54The North would be harder cause they're not in it, but the, that would be tough.
12:59You never know. That'd be a big flex. You know what?
13:02We didn't only win our division. We won your division, bitches.
13:05That would be incredible. Uh, but the saints, I think they could win the division, but the defense is probably a little weaker.
13:11So the offense could be running a lot of plays.
13:14And then the saints have built the team to give Tyler Shuck every chance to succeed.
13:19Right? Like they got Jordan Tyson with the top 10 pick in the NFL draft to be opposite Chris Olave really athletic
13:25tight ends brought in David Edwards, the guard line.
13:27Travis H and as the running back. So they're giving shock everything he needs to succeed.
13:32My question is who are the players you want at cost?
13:35So we have Chris Olave as a, the number 12 receiver.
13:38So, you know, like a third ish round pick or something like, uh, we've Jordan Tyson is the number 33 receiver.
13:44We've Travis again, the artist formerly known as Travis ETN and now it's Travis H and at running back Alvin Camara's was
13:50going to retire, but now I guess it's the third down back Tyler Shuck himself.
13:54So Craig of all those guys, who are the, who are the person that you're targeting with all this said, or you
14:00think all these guys will be good values or who in particular?
14:04I think Tyson and Shuck to me are the, probably the two values I like the most.
14:09I mean, Tyler Shuck is probably going on drafted.
14:11You can easily just, you could just draft him to your backup quarterback and see if he plays well and super flex.
14:17I think he could be your number two guy again, QB seven over his final five games of the season.
14:23Like I understood the schedule wasn't that hard for shock over that stretch, but again, it can be that hard.
14:29Even if you just like pull back and say all the games he started, I looked at this yesterday.
14:34He was the QB 12. He was a QB one in the games that he started, not just like narrowing it down to the winds.
14:41Um, so I think, yeah, I think he is definitely a sleeper at quarterback.
14:45And then Tyson is going Jordan Tyson. The rookie is going around guys like Kyle, a young guy, DK Metcalf, Tony Pollard,
14:51RJ Harvey, Marvin Harrison, Chris Godwin, Rico Dowdle, Alec Pierce.
14:54I would take a shot on Tyson over any of those guys.
14:57I think from a talent perspective, he looks like he could be very special.
15:01And if this offense is, you know, exceeds expectations, it's it's, you can absolutely support two wide receivers in a lava and, and Tyson.
15:08And one other thing I'll say is like maybe ETN and a lot of when you look at them in drafts don't seem like incredible bargains.
15:15One thing I kind of feel confident in is that it's only August 12th.
15:19We're still getting, we're still early on in this process.
15:22The NFL season starts like a week later than usual.
15:25So everything's kind of pushed. I don't think saints players like ETN or a lot of it are going to rise up.
15:31I don't think there's a chance they become like the sexy draft pick.
15:35If anything, I think it's more likely that when you're doing your draft with your high school buddies or whatever, ETN will
15:41be an afterthought, even a lot of it. I think the concussion stuff, I think that the amount of sexy names around him shock.
15:47Absolutely. I think a lot of these guys will be seen as kind of like you take them at cost or lower,
15:54which, and I think they could be good values in that sense.
15:57Yeah. If he can handle the fragility of those guys, like, cause I, I feel like there's still the impression that a
16:03love is a very risky pick just because of his history with concussions.
16:07And so, and then obviously Tyson hit his big knock was, he was hurt again almost every year.
16:12This is like a saints thing. Almost everybody in the saints, the knock is where they were always hurt.
16:17Right? Maybe that's just where they get into value or they, their perceived value, but 16 games last year.
16:23Yeah, that was huge. And they gave him a massive contract.
16:26So, okay. So DK who's another team that you think could be this year's Colts and you're basically guaranteeing it with a,
16:32with a, with a hundred percent guarantee. I stake my reputation on it.
16:35No, I mean, look, this is, this one's really way more variable, I think, or volatile than what Craig's was, but the
16:42Las Vegas Raiders, I do think they fit a lot of the, um, the variables that I'm looking at in terms of, um, a breakout offense.
16:49Now, I think the big one for me, the biggest one by far is Kubiak.
16:53I, I really think I have a lot of trust in Clint Kubiak.
16:57I think he could be. There's seven. The one that was coaching the Seahawks last year to a Superbowl W and.
17:03Oh yeah. That guy. Yeah. Yeah. Clint, Clint, Clint.
17:05I think it's a coordinator. Right, right, right. Obviously, you know, Mike McDonald, I'll have to do that too.
17:11Um, Kubiak. I just think there is a chance in two years, we're talking about him in the same sort of conversation
17:17as some of the best play callers in the NFL.
17:20DK, you want to go, you want to like tie this back to the saints, Clint Kubiak on the saints.
17:25Remember those three weeks, two years ago when the saints were playing up 40 points a game and then everybody got hurt.
17:31Yeah. So I think there was a chance that was a glimpse of what the saints could have been last year.
17:37Obviously they lost their quarterback and that everything kind of fell apart.
17:41Um, but let's go through the checklist here. Respected savvy play caller.
17:44I think Kubiak is one of the better play callers.
17:47I think he had, it's a long proven, very reliable offensive scheme.
17:50The Kubiak Shanahan scheme has been around forever. It works all the time.
17:54It, uh, we've seen it elevate teams that you don't really expect to be good.
17:58I would think about like the Matt shop Texans back in the day.
18:02Um, and I do think the other thing that's nice, and this is really the big sticking point is what do we do with the offensive line?
18:09I think this could be at best, probably an average offensive line.
18:13Last year, they were one of the worst offensive lines and going into the year.
18:17They're probably going to be ranked around some of the worst offensive lines, but they're getting Colton Miller back who missed almost
18:23all of last season at left tackle. That's big.
18:26Just like a foundational piece on the offensive line.
18:28They traded or they signed, uh, Tyler Litterbottom in the off season.
18:31Basically he was there. We're not leaving free agency without this guy thing.
18:35They overpaid according to the center, uh, you know, landscape by maybe 10 million or whatever it was.
18:40Um, and then, you know, so, but I do think the Kubiak scheme can elevate an offensive line based on like the way that they run their scheme.
18:48It can kind of hide some of the issues that they have.
18:51The play action, the misdirection, things like that can help with the quarterback in terms of a pressure rate and all that stuff.
18:58Um, so the offensive line, that's a variable. I can't necessarily put a check there, but I do think there is a
19:04world in which the offensive line improves pretty significantly.
19:07Um, and then the quarterback growing from Gino Smith to cousins and Mendoza, I think theoretically could be a big improvement.
19:12You know, it depends on what kind of version we get of cousins early in the year.
19:17And then of course, if Mendoza plays, that's another one.
19:20Um, but you know, Gino turned the ball over more than anyone last year, other than Sam Darnold.
19:25And so just cutting down on turnovers could be a massive boon for this offense.
19:29And then stud skill players. I mean, Brock Bowers might be the best tight end in football, probably the best tight end
19:35in football might be even a top 10 pass catcher period in football.
19:39Um, and then Ashton Gentry, we've talked about this a bunch.
19:42If you give him an inch, he'll take a mile last year, basically on the runs where he was able to take one step without being hit.
19:50He looked electric. And I do think again, this scheme probably be a huge boon for him.
19:55Um, so the Raiders, this is not every time Austin Gale, a Raiders fan points out that the Raiders started meeting without
20:01their O-line coach because they needed to fix it.
20:03That's how bad the O-line coach last year, they didn't last year.
20:07They Pete Carroll's son. They didn't want Pete Carroll's son coaching the line in the meetings.
20:11Talking to Austin about last year, just man, the Raiders were such a dysfunctional organization.
20:15Basically Pete Carroll and, and Tom Brady, I think had different visions.
20:19The coach, like he didn't get to choose his entire staff.
20:22There was just no continuity or, or, uh, you know, they just didn't agree to see eye to eye on like how to run anything.
20:29Too old. It's too old. Pete Carroll. I mean, he's the football may have passed him by at this point.
20:34Who knows? Um, but so like if you, if you go past that, the, obviously the big question here is like, what,
20:41what's going on at the receiver core? I don't know.
20:43Honestly, I think Trey Tucker could be a fine skill player or a role player.
20:48Um, Jack Besh hasn't done anything since they drafted him last year in the second round.
20:52Uh, Dante Thornton, probably not a big factor. They did sign Jalen Naylor and free agency.
20:57At least he has experience. I mean, that's the Vikings third receiver last year.
21:01Jalen Naylor is now going to be extensively their number one.
21:04Cause Trey Tucker's a speed, deep threat. That's really like a speed crosser threat.
21:08I don't know. Like, like the, he could be good on like play action and things like that.
21:13I think where they get him in, um, down the field and throw it over the head.
21:17But yeah, they, to me, it's like, but, but if you have Bowers and Jenty, that's more than enough in terms of
21:24the skill player position, because they are two very, very talented, very explosive players can get you big plays, um, and can
21:30be types of guys that you can really trust in those key situations.
21:33And so look, I'm it's, it's a stretch. You have to squint definitely to see this, but I think I would never
21:40have guessed the Colts would have done what they did last year.
21:43I'll put it that way. Um, so I think when you see, when you have a coaching change like this court, a
21:49quarterback change, there's a chance they make a massive jump from what they did last year.
21:54Yeah. These things might feel far fetched, but again, DK, like you just said, it can't be overstated.
21:59Like the saints last year going in with Daniel Jones, a rookie tight end, you have Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce and
22:05sure Jonathan Taylor, but like the bet, the bet, one of the top 10 offenses of the 21st century.
22:10Nobody saw coming. Yeah. So it's, if these teams feel a little bit like, yeah, right.
22:15The saints or the Raiders are going to be, nobody expected the Colts last year, which is the point of this exercise.
22:21I will say about the receiving group. I can't remember a time when we've had two teams with this, the dolphins and
22:27the Raiders have about as bad of a receiving group.
22:30I was like, I can ever remember in the NFL.
22:33Yeah. The Raiders one, I think speaks more to, I, that Clint Kubiak, I think they see Brock Bowers as the number one receiver on the team.
22:40Sure. And I, again, I, Jackson Smith and Jigba and you center around them, but even Cooper cup and Rashid Shaheed are better than any ride receiver.
22:48The Raiders have right. And I think, but I think the Seahawks signed Cooper cup mostly for his willingness as a blocker
22:54and his intelligence of like, just understanding the X's and O's that's going on in the field and his ability to adapt
23:00and understand how to heat that Cooper cup could motion and play in anywhere in the offense and know how to block and all those things.
23:07And also just know where to sit in zone.
23:10And, but I think the Seahawks last year, they traded DK Metcalf.
23:13We weren't looking at the Seahawks. Like it was a deep thing and that they had needed Tori Horton to catch a bunch of touchdowns.
23:20Oh, I thought for sure they were going to regress an offense.
23:24Yeah. And so that's why I look at the Raiders and I get excited.
23:28The dolphins. That's just, I just think they're the worst receiving group since the Jets.
23:32They're tanking. They are tanking. And I don't, I take that seriously when I say a team's tanking.
23:37I'm a, I don't think NFL teams tank nearly as much as people say.
23:41The dolphins have tanked in the past. The dolphins are tanking and they have tanked in the past.
23:46It's like, they have a history of tanking. They have, they, the dolphins are tanking.
23:50Steven Ross is the only owner that seems to love tanking.
23:53And when the Browns, they definitely take two for like eight years ago.
23:57It didn't work. But I think my question with the Raiders is I, first of all, I want to talk about the quarterback.
24:03They drafted Fernando Mendoza, obviously, you know, number one pick Heisman national champion undefeated.
24:07I forget there's like four guys ever that have done that.
24:10And I actually believe that he will not play until he's better than Kirk cousins for this year.
24:15Whether that means Kirk is terrible. Mendoza is amazing.
24:18Kirk gets hurt, whatever. But I do think they're going to play Kirk until they think Mendoza gives them a better shot.
24:24I mean, the Brady quote that you, you mentioned on the podcast where he was, what did he say?
24:29It was like a crime or something that they're making people play early.
24:33I think it's a tragedy. Tragedy. He said it's a football tragedy.
24:37It's an American tragedy. It's a tragedy. Brady views that rookie contracts, making the economics push quarterbacks onto the field early, forcing
24:43coaches to dumb down offensive football rather than forcing quarterbacks to rise to the level of NFL football and dumbing it down
24:49is a football tragedy, as well as feeling that they don't have to earn their stripes.
24:53Like I had to earn it at Michigan and I had to earn the job in New England.
24:58And I had to. And so it's a mix of back in my day, I worked, I walked uphill to the facility both ways in the snow.
25:06So all that's to say is when you guys look at the Raiders team, are you envisioning Kirk Cousins doing well with this team?
25:13Are you envisioning Mendoza playing well with this team either or neither?
25:16I think a lot of this, the fear with the Raiders to me is like, I have more trust in Clint Kubiak as I do any play caller.
25:24Like I fully believe. And that is what you're betting on.
25:27If you want to bet on this. My issue with the Raiders is Kirk, how much better is Kirk Cousins than Geno Smith right now?
25:34One. And two, how much Kirk Cousins are we, if we get 14, 12, 10 weeks of Kirk Cousins, is that enough
25:40to sustain whatever we think this offense could be?
25:43And also you look in fantasy purposes, the Raiders are a very unique team, not expected to be very good.
25:48And yet they have two players going in like the top 15 in drafts, right?
25:53You have Gentie who's a first rounder and Brock Bowers is a second rounder.
25:57After that, who else are you drafting? If you think this team is going to be the next Colts, you're basically saying
26:03Trey Tucker is going to be relevant. Jack Pesce, who doesn't look good in camp, is going to be relevant or something like that.
26:09Well, that's the thing. When we say next year's Colts, it's a little tongue in cheek because it's the same thing saying who's this year's Patriots.
26:17You mean the 80 to one team to make the Super Bowl that made the Super Bowl?
26:22Like that doesn't happen every year, but I think it's a point.
26:25Who's going to be way better than you think?
26:27Because there's always a team. The Raiders are a scary team for fantasy because they're the only team like they're basically bottom five in projected points and wins.
26:35Like the Raiders odds to make the playoffs are really low and the teams that are around the Browns and the Jets.
26:41And you know what I mean? Like they're not considered like to have these top end fantasy players.
26:47So I do think the idea if the Raiders are just kind of what we think, which is last place in the
26:53AFC West, but better than last year, the offense has to be funneled through Bowers and Gentie.
26:57That's like baked in. It's assuming that no one will be relevant other than Bowers and Gentie.
27:02So I think the question is, do you think the offense will actually just be, it doesn't have to be elite like
27:08the Colts average being funneled through Bowers and Gentie would probably make both like incredible buys.
27:13That's the question though, is are the Raiders going to be average or above average?
27:17Cause that would be pretty great. Yeah. I think Craig said it, but this to me is a bet on Kuyak and
27:23a bet on the talent of Gentie and Bowers more than some of the other variables that I mentioned.
27:29And the offensive line thing DK, cause how did you feel about the Seahawks offensive line a year ago?
27:34They were one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL.
27:37I mean, they were going into the lead and going into the season.
27:41I think most people considered them bottom five and they ended up being probably average and they did.
27:46And look, they got a, you know, a new offensive lineman and Gray's able who helps stabilize things on the interior.
27:52The Raiders got a new offensive lineman and title and bond who also, by the way, has a, has the advantage of
27:58already being one of the best centers in the NFL.
28:01They paid a lot of money for him, but again, free agent for, I think it's something that gets lost just cause it's a bad contract.
28:08I'm not saying it's a bad contract, but just cause teams spend too much money for bad, for medium term planning.
28:14Most teams that spend money in free agency do get better in year one.
28:18It just doesn't work out longterm. But like the, again, Tyler Linderbaum said centers, a great center.
28:23They do have Colton Miller at left tackle was a first round pick right guards.
28:27Jackson powers. Johnson was a first round pick Spencer Burford.
28:30I mean, he came from San Francisco, which is family, like schematically same family wise and has had success there.
28:35And then DJ Glazer right tackle is a little serviceable.
28:38It's like, I think that that what the Raiders have now at line comparable, if not maybe in slightly better than what
28:44the Seahawks were working with a year ago, DK, like, and I think that's the point is the whole point of the
28:50Kubiak offense is it makes lineman's job easier. Joe Thomas is like one of the best left tackles of our lifetime.
28:56Always talks about how it makes it every year computer.
28:59Everything's a zero one, let you play faster, which is why linemen generally get better under the system.
29:04So we'll see. I, I, it feels like a stretch and it probably is a stretch, but yeah, this is like, this
29:10is the downside is they suck and Kirk Cousins gets hurt as old and Mendoza's a rookie.
29:15That's the problem. Yeah. But, but I don't know in support of this argument, DK, if the Raiders are just like immediately
29:21good or above average or really competent, would you be all that surprised?
29:25I kind of wouldn't because I trust Clint Kubiak and they have Brock Bowers and Gentie.
29:29And I'm like, I don't know if they're a top 10 offense halfway through the season.
29:34I don't think I'd be shocked because of Clint Kubiak.
29:37And I think that's the point here. The tough thing is like, if you want to take Ashton Gentie and you, and
29:43you buy into this, you're pretty much going to have to get him at the end of the first round.
29:48But the bet here would be, is that you think that he can be the RB one in this offense.
29:54Right. Yeah. And the last thing I'd say that just to throw the wrinkle in it, the, I think the big difference
30:00that is maybe so obvious, we're not saying it between Seattle and the Raiders is Seattle had the best defense in the NFL last year.
30:07And the Raiders defense is horrific. And I still kind of think the Raiders are going to trade Max Crosby, making a bad team worse.
30:14Well, he's fighting their quarterback. Gotta get rid of this guy.
30:17Gotta get rid of that guy. How else can he do to get out other than fight the guy you can't hit?
30:24I think the Raiders defense, they added a bunch of pieces on defense.
30:27I don't think it's going to work. And I think that the flip side is it's easy for the Seahawks to be
30:33having such an explosive pass offense when all the game scripts are, yeah, you have to really think about defending the run and we play play action.
30:41The Raiders are down 14 points. They can't just be like doing play action all the time to set up.
30:47Like if you have to get in a shotgun, suddenly all that Kubiak stuff, it's not so easy.
30:52And so that is the thing to keep in mind is that if the Raiders, in theory, you're like, well, it's a bad defense.
30:58They'll give up points. We'll shoot out. It's not built necessarily for shootouts.
31:02Not exactly. DK, before we move on, last question.
31:05So like going back to the Colts last year, the first half of the season, like Michael Pittman was the wide receiver 10.
31:11Nobody assumed that was coming. Yeah. Not saying a Raiders receiver is going to do that, but if you had to pick
31:17one Raiders wide receiver, Trey Tucker, Jalen Naylor, Jack Besh, whatever, Deontay Thornton, who will just massively overperform this year.
31:23If the Raiders are good, who would you pick?
31:25I would probably pick Trey Tucker. Yeah, I think so too.
31:28I've always kind of liked him. I remember watching him at the senior bowl and being very impressed with him.
31:34He's just kind of, he's been slot into a role, you know, in his career so far, but I do think he
31:40has a little bit more to him. So, you know, he's not going to be a traditional number one guy, but it
31:46wouldn't be surprised if he gets more volume than 5'8", 180 really fast.
31:50Yeah. I mean, he reminds me a little bit of like a little bit smaller version of Jaden Reed where you're a
31:56little limited, but there's some, you know, there's some real electric movement skills and get deep.
32:01He's made big plays in the past. It's not like he's been invisible.
32:04Rashid Shahid. Yeah. Yeah. That's what he was a couple of years ago.
32:08I just, do you remember Rashid Shahid at the beginning of the Saints season a couple of years ago?
32:13Like he was all over the place. Ian Harden always posts this, that Shahid had briefly had one of the best like touchdowns per touch.
32:20Yeah. He was going off. Marks ever. Yeah. And explosive plays.
32:23Yeah. So, okay. But I wouldn't put it past Naylor.
32:26Just, they spent a lot of money on him.
32:29And so, you know, that's certainly a possibility. Naylor, kind of an all time name for like a guy in high school.
32:35You know what I mean? Just like that. I hardly know her.
32:38Yeah. Jalen Naylor sounds like the name of a character in American Pie.
32:42Jalen Naylor. That's a good name. The Ringer Fantasy Football Show is brought to you by Fandle.
32:47Before the football season begins, every team is undefeated.

32:55And with Fandle, you can bet on any of it.
32:58From who will win it all and division winners to season win totals and playoff futures.
33:03Fandle has all the ways to bet on the season before it even begins.
33:06I kind of love parlaying a bunch of teams I think will make the playoffs.
33:11I feel like the Ravens will make the playoffs and they're underrated because Lamar was hurt and they have an easy schedule the first two months.
33:18I like the Bengals because they have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL.
33:22I like the Lions because they have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL.
33:26And I like kind of throwing a bunch of those teams together and getting like eight to one.
33:31I don't feel like it's that much of a risk.
33:34I guess the Chargers are the biggest risk, but I kind of like putting, it's a little crazy, but Chargers, Bengals, Ravens, Lions all together.
33:41And if you believe in the Saints, throw them in too.
33:44So I kind of don't mind them all to make the playoffs.
33:48I also kind of don't hate the Titans. That's maybe the craziest team I could see making the playoffs as a playoff team.
33:54But I kind of like the parlay of just a bunch of solid teams.

34:11All right, I have it. You're up. People are going to quibble with this pick here.
34:16I was going to ask you guys, do the Vikings count for this?
34:19No, I don't. So I, that was my first thought.
34:22And when we talked about doing this episode, I went past them.
34:26Yeah. And then I mentioning it's worth getting into briefly.
34:28I thought so, but over the weekend, I spent time with like different groups of people that like football, but aren't like
34:35doing it every day like we are. And I kind of just forgot how much people think Kyler Murray sucks.
34:40Yeah. And I think that I feel like we've been in a football bubble of people where again, I actually think there's
34:46a serious chance that Kyler Murray playing on a $1 million contract, $1 million for the Vikings is like the best contract in football.
34:53Like when he's 55 million, I don't love Kyler Murray and the body language and the studying language and the contract bothers me for a minimum.
35:00Like Kyler Murray's like the 300th highest paid NFL player.
35:03That's pretty good. And having said that, people think he sucks.
35:06Fantasy, but yeah, because I think if the Vikings started eight, no, I think people would be shocked.
35:11And I do think that's the point is I think I forgot that people still hate Kyler Murray.
35:16And so I wanted to ask you guys, because this is the team that's probably most situated for the Colts comeback.
35:22I think that Justin Jefferson is exactly like Jonathan Taylor, where everyone thinks he's good.
35:27There's no injury related for his drop-off. People think he's an absolute, just dominant player at his best.
35:32The question is quarterback, the same way with Jonathan Taylor.
35:34They're like, if Jonathan Taylor had a great quarterback last year, no one would be upset.
35:39It's Daniel Jones. It's weird. It was Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones.
35:42It's weird. This year it's J.J. McCarthy. It's Kyler Murray.
35:45It's weird. Kyler Murray just got named the starting quarterback for the Vikings.
35:48And I have a lot of questions about whether this is going to work schematically, just like people didn't know about Daniel Jones last year.
35:56And again, Bill, Bill Barnwell is this great study at SPN that Kyler Murray has almost 5% of his, like 5% of his stats.
36:02His snaps have been under center. The Vikings do like 50% of their snaps under center.
36:07So they're going to have to meet somewhere in the middle, but we're talking about Kyler Murray doing somewhere between like almost
36:1310 times as many snaps under center. Or if you meet him in the middle, Kyler Murray is going to be doing
36:19five times as many snaps under center. That's an adjustment for him.
36:22But you know what the call, honestly, the Daniel Jones thing kind of works for Kyler.
36:27It's like what Brian Dable did when Daniel Jones got to the playoffs last year.
36:31You do a lot of play action rollouts and you're moving the pocket and you're getting Kyler on the move.
36:37I think the Vikings are the best candidate to actually do what we're doing because the other thing the Colts had was
36:43enough talent that when they got rolling, you're like, well, I guess this does make sense because you're like, well, Tyler Warren's good and Jonathan Taylor is good.
36:51And Josh Downs is sneaky underrated. And you're like, well, the Vikings have, you know, like an underrated Justin Jefferson's like maybe the best receiver in the league.
36:59Jordan Addison's a first round pick. And again, weird player, but like he's the number two receiver Hawkinson.
37:04I don't know. I could, I could believe it if the Vikings start hot.
37:08Also, Kyler Murray's done this before you started seven and oh, four years ago.
37:12No one gave a shit, but I don't know.
37:14This one. I do think in Heifetz's defense, this does match pretty similar.
37:18There's a lot of similarities and parallels to the Colts from last year and the Vikings from this year.
37:23I mean, the Colts going from Anthony Richardson and I think Joe Flacco was the other quarterback for a while there on that team.
37:30And then they went and got Daniel Jones. And was he just a free agent?
37:34He just left in free agency, right? His team paid money to get rid of him.
37:39It's stylistically, it's honestly, it's very similar. Like I, Daniel Jones went to Minnesota first.
37:43Right. And then he went signed with the Colts in free agency, kind of like a forgotten man.
37:48Like everyone had kind of given up on him.
37:50I think there's some similarities there. It's a 2019.
37:53It's a quarterback taken in the top six of 2019, cut by the team and paid to go away by the team
37:59that took him going to compete with a different first round pick that he beats out.
38:04And I'm just saying, narratively, it's pretty similar. And for what it's worth, the Colts from 2024 weren't like fucking terrible.
38:09They were eight and nine and they, well, they got second in the division.
38:13The Vikings last year were nine and eight third in the division.
38:17So maybe just a little bit better floor, but the mechanics of the team, I agree, makes sense.
38:22I think the only thing I think narratively, just like the Darnold thing, the fact that that happened and they went 14
38:28and three with Sam Darnold two years ago. And then last year was a disaster.
38:32It's why I don't think people would be shocked.
38:35I think the shock was Sam Darnold winning 14 games with Kevin O'Connell and the Vikings.
38:39So it happening again with the first overall pick, Kyler Murray, I feel like won't be shocking, but it doesn't discredit your
38:45point of like, this offense could still be fantastic.
38:48And we're probably not thinking about the non-Justin Jefferson people as much as we maybe should.
38:52So if it's like Jordan Addison, I mean, they have Juwan Jennings now as their number three wide receiver.
38:58They got him from San Francisco. Jordan Mason. He's a hoe.
39:01We want that known. Juwan Jennings is a hoe.
39:03He's a hoe. I want that now. Was that Trent Williams?
39:06Who said that? No, it wasn't. It was a Juwan Hargrave.
39:10I think I believe said Juwan Jennings is a hoe.
39:12I want that. He's a hoe. So who do we like?
39:15Like out of the running backs, wide receivers, tight ends that aren't Justin Jefferson hype, it's who you think is the best value if this offense pops?
39:23Uh, I, so the boring answer is I think that Jordan Mason, I think is the cheapest starting running back in fantasy.
39:29I think Jordan Mason, he's not sexy cause he doesn't get a ton of catches, but I think that's why he goes late and shit.
39:36He's just, he's probably gonna get twice as many carries inside the five as he did last year, which isn't exciting, but
39:42a carry inside the five, a running back. This makes common sense, but we talk about like red zone touches, red zone touches.
39:49Don't matter. A carry from the two yard line is like seven times more valuable than a carry from the 19.
39:55So it's about carries inside the five. Unless you're Derrick Henry.
39:58Unless you're Derrick Henry. All that's to say, you look like the Saddam, uh, yeah.
40:02Statue every time Derrick Henry stack on the highest is greatest analogy of all time.
40:06I just can't get over that. It's just topples.
40:09I'm going to go watch that video. It's like a family guy cartoon where he just starts up right.
40:14And then the next frame he's horizontal here, the crash.
40:17Yeah. Oh my God. But yeah, I think, I just think Jordan Mason's a really good running back and he's just a perfect guy to take.
40:24He's probably like Javante Williams last year where you're like, Oh, he's the guy.
40:28And Aaron Jones is going to get hurt. And Jordan Mason is going to be like the guy for the Vikings, not
40:34a great receiver, but he might end up playing passing downs too.
40:38Uh, probably won't probably lose him to Xavier Scott, but yeah.
40:41Jordan Mason feels like a, this episode is brought to you by Netflix, the MLB at field of dreams returns.
40:46Bryce Harper in the Philadelphia Phillies face Byron Buxton in the Minnesota Twins at the iconic field of dreams ballpark.
40:52The field is calling watch the MLB at field of dreams game live on Netflix tonight, 7 30 PM Eastern 4 30 PM Pacific.
40:59Uh, he's, he's a huge value and probably looks really great on a team.
41:03Like we, like you were talking about with the Raiders, that's like a head in games game script is going fine.
41:09The quarterback is good. They're distributing the football last year.
41:11It was just a disaster for everything that you could imagine with Jordan Mason in terms of just like, they're not getting into the red zone.
41:19The quarterback situation was disaster. Um, they needed Aaron Jones to create explosive plays rather than, um, you know, the foundational run
41:25game and grind wins out late in the game, things like that.
41:28So yeah, I think Jordan Mason, he's a game script reliant quarterback, but if things go well for the Vikings this year, he could be massive value.
41:36If it's not Mason though, again, if you're first off, you're playing on sleeper, I cannot Kyler Murray himself is the answer.
41:42He ran for 500 yards two years almost tied with Josh Allen for the most among quarterbacks two years ago.
41:48He's still athletic enough. Kyler Murray is going after kickers on sleeper platform.
41:51So I would take Kyler Murray. And also the other person to keep wondering about is Justin Jefferson, where it's like, if
41:57Kyler works and Kyler usually is pretty good. The first two and a half months of the season, there's a world where
42:04we look back and we just can't believe that Justin Jefferson was available.
42:07And we were taking Ashton Gentty and over in the Raiders end up as like bottom five team again.
42:13And we were taking Ash and Gentty over Justin Jefferson when Jefferson had like one bad season and with, with a terrible quarterback.
42:19And so I don't, as much as I'm wondering if Kyler Murray might have issues with the O'Connell offense, sometimes I think
42:25we get that confused about, yeah, in the wildcard round, that'll probably be a huge issue over the course of the season.
42:31I have no issues that Kyler Murray will get the ball to Justin Jefferson.
42:35That will not be a problem. Will they be able to efficiently win a Superbowl?
42:40I have, I really don't think so, but like Justin Jefferson's going to get the football and he might not be a first round pick this year.
42:47I think that's the one that stands out like a sore thumb.
42:51It is interesting that, you know, a team that won 14 games of Sam Darnold two years ago with basically the same
42:57infrastructure and now a quarterback who we assume can be good, the former first overall pick, they only have one player going
43:03inside the top 100 in fantasy and it's Justin Jefferson.
43:06Literally everybody else is going outside the top 100.
43:08And if this offense is going to be good, other people will be in the top 100.
43:13I'm kind of looking at Jordan Addison who's sitting at 109 in ADP right now.
43:17He's like the 44th wide receiver going off the board.
43:20Jordan Addison, first two years in the league had 900 yards and averaged almost 10 touchdowns over the course of his first two seasons.
43:27He had a down year last year for multiple reasons and then now he's kind of back.
43:32I mean, Justin Jefferson had a down year last year.
43:34Sure. And I'm just kind of staring at Jordan Addison who's next to like, I don't know.
43:39Jane Reed or Wandale Robinson or something. Michael Pittman.
43:42Jacoby Myers. And I'm like, if the Vikings are good, really good, Jordan Addison will be way better than the 109th player off the board.
43:49Yeah. I was going to say, Addison reminds me a little bit of like early career Calvin Ridley opposite Julio.
43:54Are you just going to say that? Yeah. I couldn't agree more.
43:58I think there's just a little bit of the way that defenses play Justin Jefferson, the way that defenses previously had played Julio Jones.
44:04You're getting opportunities to get deep and get over the top and you're not getting help over the top in a lot of cases.
44:11And the red zone, the same thing. Julio Jones, one of my favorite receivers I've ever seen.
44:16It should be a Hall of Famer. But he was weirdly never scored, kind of like Calvin Johnson actually, never scored as
44:22many touchdowns as you thought because they were so good that defenses took the anyone but him inside the 10 yard line.
44:28And that's where Calvin Ridley is really similar to Jordan Addison to me is they both scored a lot of touchdowns super
44:34early in their career, even though they were like number two receivers that are thin and don't have the build of someone as a red zone option.
44:42But they were like one-on-one every time in the end zone.
44:45And Addison going around Cortland Sutton, where I'm half looking at Cortland Sutton, like, is he going to lose his job to Pat Bryant by Thanksgiving?
44:52Whereas like, yeah. So Jordan, I think the, again, I think the point to me is if you wanted to have all
44:59the Vikings on your team, you know how easy it is?
45:02Look, you just take Justin Jefferson. You know how easy this is for me?
45:06Yeah. I'm just saying, you know, if you take Jordan, let's say you get Jefferson with the first pick and second round.
45:12Jordan Addison, 109th. This is a joke. You know how easy this is?
45:15I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You can't do this. I really am.
45:19I'm tired of watching you futz around with this.
45:21God, Die Hard. Great movie. Die Hard? I know.
45:24What is that? Welcome to the party, pal. Nothing.
45:26I just made that up. I find it funny.
45:29Like when I always like get just like blatantly getting something totally wrong when it feels like I know what's going on.
45:35What? After you volleyed it several times. Yeah. I'm like doing the quotes with you guys.
45:39I'm like, man, leave the weapon. It's awesome. It's a good bit.
45:43I'm going to start doing that now. And then the other last thing I'll say is TJ Hawkins undrafted, which is fine.
45:49He's like an older player. We have forgotten about that guy.
45:52There was a time when we were like, this is the next guy.
45:56He's like the next Gronk. All I'll say about TJ Hawkinson.
45:59He's undrafted for a reason. Kyler hasn't gotten the ball to tight ends, et cetera, et cetera.
46:03Hawkinson took less money after an injury. That's always a bad sign, but he wants free agency.
46:08All I'll say is TJ Hawkins in a contract year.
46:11It's his last chance at a contract. And I'll say this.
46:14If the whole point of having a tight end at the end is not for some safe floor volume guy, but you're
46:20like, all right, what are the odds they get a tight end?
46:24That'll pop. Everyone's like trying to find a year two tight end.
46:27That'll pop. And I love like Terrence Ferguson, the Rams, but TJ Hawkinson was like the number two tight end a few
46:33years ago towards ACL had a bad recovery. And then JJ McCarthy happened.
46:37I'm like, I don't know. Hawkinson would be the single least surprising tight end to finish top 10 on the season of
46:43all the guys outside the top 16 to me.
46:46And it's funny to me that he's just completely unrostered.
46:48I totally agree. It's almost kind of good timing that he got to waste the year that he's recovering from the ACL with JJ McCarthy.
46:55Like now he can, now he's back that he has a good quarterback.
46:59So anyway, I just, I know the Vikings are maybe obvious, but I just, but they're not priced like anyone believes in them is my point.
47:06Yeah. Okay. DK, who's your next team here that you think could be a surprising cults?
47:11Like, yeah, this one again might be a stretch.
47:13I'm, I'm putting a lot of stock in Kevin Stefanski, but I'm going to go with the Falcons here who look, they have some of the variable.
47:21Here's the deal. They have some of the variables that we're looking for here.
47:25I think the big one to me again is Stefanski who let it can't be over.
47:29It cannot be overstated. Is it understated or overstated?
47:32I can't, it depends what you're saying. It cannot be overstated that Stefanski led the Browns to 11 win game, 11 win seasons twice.
47:39Coach of the year, twice. Coach of the Browns.
47:41On the Browns. He was a man. I mean, I think that.
47:45Stefanski has a beer. Don't you worry. He was a man.
47:48God, Anchorman. Great. Gigachad. Anyway, Craig, I heard that.
47:50You son of a bitch. Anyway, so look, there are two new quarterbacks here.
47:54So we have a potential for new or improved quarterback situation over last year.
47:58Well, sorry. There's, there's one new quarterback. Penix is still there.
48:01But one is named two. So it's confusing. Yeah, there we go.
48:05Now we're talking. Tua Tagovailoa, who I still can't say his last name.
48:08Tungavailoa. Tungavailoa. Obviously. Or as we like to call him, turn the ball over.
48:12Tua turned the ball over. Anyway. Do you guys remember that Tua two years ago led the NFL in passing yards?
48:18Yeah. Did that really happen? Yeah. He's still like the 18th best quarterback.
48:22Did that really happen? I'm guessing Herbert's going to win the MVP this year.
48:26I do. I, I do think Herbert's going to win the MVP.
48:29I swear to God. Anyway, uh, Tua last, 2023.
48:31Sorry. I guess it was three years ago. Tyreek had almost 1800 yards, 13 touchdowns.
48:36Moster and Achan were both like top five in, in fantasy in a per game basis.
48:40Yep. Um, and so again, this is a Tua led offense that did that.
48:44It happened in the real world. I'm not saying it's going to happen.
48:48Tua led is such a disingenuous. I'm not going to say this is going to happen, but it ha it did happen in the past.
48:55Um, but I'm more like a Stefanski believer. I think the real comparison for the dolphins and Mike McDaniel, what you're talking
49:01about is Tua was the point guard. He was the Steve dash of the seven seconds or less sons.
49:06That really is what the dolphins are doing. It was the two seconds or less dolphins, which has a funnier connotation, but.
49:12I think there's a world in which Tua works or less.
49:16There you go. Fuck. That was right. Yeah. The two seconds or less.
49:19I think there's a world in which Tua works in the Stefanski style offense.
49:23Again, this is a Shanahan Kubiak offense. That's the history of it or whatever.
49:27The lineage, um, raises the floor of the offense helps the offensive line.
49:31This is a offensive line that could, I think be pretty good.
49:34Um, again, Brandon Thorne has them ranked 20th, but he's in the, they're in this big tier three, kind of in the middle of the pack.
49:41Um, they have a good left tackle and Jake Matthews, Matthew Bergeron just got a new contract.
49:46He's been good. So their last side is pretty solid.
49:49They also have Chris Lindstrom at right guard. Juwan Taylor at right tackle.
49:53Don't necessarily love that, but belt line off sides guy.
49:55Yeah. And then just when you look at the skill players, it's a fucking bonanza.
50:00I mean, Bijan Robinson and Drake London, Drake London.
50:02And then depending on how you feel about Kyle pits, there might be a three dragons meme here with a London and Bijan and pits.
50:09But I think pits, what he looked like last year, the way that he was running and moving around, I think was really encouraging.
50:16So, um, again, I don't know if they're going to be a good team, but I think they have a potential to
50:22be pretty good on offense based on some of these variables.
50:25I think this one, I don't know. I would be shocked if the Falcons started nine and oh, I wouldn't be shocked
50:31if the Falcons ended up being a great fantasy team because first of all, Atlanta had the best pass rush season they've had in decades last year.
50:39And they're just not going to do it again.
50:41Cause James Pierce, I don't, he's going to get suspended.
50:44I have no idea what his future is. He had a horrific, like, uh, off season incident over the, uh, I think
50:50in the spring that he's probably gonna get suspended and he should.
50:54And then Jalen Walker, their other first round pick towards ACL.
50:57So like, I just don't believe in this defense at all, but the Falcons on offense, I mean, look, it's always weird
51:03to rely too much on whether their first round pick, but there are like nine first round picks in this offense.
51:09It's not an exaggeration. Now, one of those is Johan Dotson, but like that's their fourth passing option.
51:14I always kind of liked, I always liked John Dotson.
51:17I don't know why it didn't work out. You're holding on to stock.
51:21With Johan Dotson's your number two. That's tough. But Drake London pits.
51:24Oh, that's an alarm. Is that just to be like, oh, stop talking about Johan Dotson.
51:28Yeah. Sorry. That was like a warning. That's my phone.
51:31Yeah. But I just, if Tua does play, he's probably going to complete a lot of passes and they might not be
51:37fun to watch, but there's going to be a lot of shipping, PPR points being handed out, participation trophy, PPR points handed out to Bijan and Pitts.
51:45And the question I keep having is Drake London.
51:47Is he like one of the best values or is he just, is Drake London going to have crazy splits between Michael Penix playing in Tua?
51:55But if Penix isn't practicing until early September, I think Tua is going to be the quarterback here.
52:00Do you guys think that Tua and Michael Penix are better than any quarterback Kevin Stefanski had on the Browns?
52:05Let's go through and talk about that. He had Rookie Baker Mayfield.
52:09He had Rookie Baker Mayfield. It was kind of a mess.
52:12Baker and a, Rookie, no, Rookie Baker was great.
52:14Then he heard his shoulder and Baker was a mess for two years.
52:18Sure, sure. Okay. So maybe outside- Odell Beckham's dad was tweeting at him.
52:22You have like Jacoby Brissett, Deshaun, Jameis, Shador. Flacco.
52:24Flacco. Jameis, Winston, Sanders. PJ Walker. I think the- The Browns started with the, what's his name?
52:29Who is the Oregon quarterback they started with last year?
52:32Dylan Gabriel. Dylan Gabriel. Yeah. I'm just like, I wonder if Kevin Stefanski is like, wow, this is like, I think we're
52:38all looking at like, geez, the Falcons quarterback situation.
52:41I wonder if Stefanski's like, I got my pick of the litter here, man.
52:44But Tua or Panic? This is great. I think it's part, wow, this, because I think the issues Stefanski have with Deshaun
52:51Watson, and there are many issues to have with Deshaun Watson, but football teams don't care.
52:55The issues Stefanski had with him was he doesn't want to do the same offense.
52:59They don't want to like do the whole- He had to drop back, roll it.
53:04They had a huge power struggle over what the kind of offense they would run.
53:08Tua is fine to do whatever Stefanski wants to do.
53:11Like, I think Tua is going to make it work.
53:13He's like, you know, like how high do I have to jump?
53:17He's going to make it happen. I think- Pretty high because he's short.
53:20A small percentage. A small percentage of Tua is, you know how annoying it is to flip the plays for a lefty?
53:27I know it's a meme. You did like Gabriel last year, man.
53:30He's used to it. Yeah, but it's like you have to teach.
53:33Like, if everything for Penix is left and then the backup comes in and he's like a righty, you got to flip everything.
53:40Like, it's annoying. Well, this is what they say, right?
53:43You want to get a backup that has similar style.
53:45Like, it's like Tyler Huntley with Lamar. Like, you want to get somebody that has like, you know, the lefty thing probably matters in that regard.
53:53I know that sounds dumb, what I just said, but just so you know, Steve Young went to BYU in his freshman year.
53:59His coach didn't want to deal with a lefty and made him a safety.
54:03And then the coach got fired and the new coach came in.
54:06And then in practice, Steve Young, he was like, and the coach was like, why the fuck does that backup safety have a cannon?
54:13Who is that guy? And he was like, I'm a quarterback.
54:16He looks like a future Hall of Famer. Yeah, but that's how Steve Young got to be quarterback at BYU is the
54:22new coach was like, you can throw. That's weird.
54:25You're a defense. But like, coaches don't want to deal with lefties.
54:28And I do think that's one of the reasons, too, is there is.
54:32It's not just a meme. I will say Drake London, I think, is another guy kind of like Olave.
54:37I think Drake London has more buzz than Olave, but I think has a chance to be kind of forgotten in the second round.
54:44People are worried about the offense. Yes. Drake London last year, first 11 weeks of the season, wide receiver three overall.
54:50I don't know what to do with it. I think Drake London was for the first half of the season on the
54:56short list of like most improved players, if not literally, at least in perception.
55:00Like Drake London looked, I hate to just throw Mike Evans around, but he looked like an absolute dominant, dominant outside receiver, which is hard to find.
55:08And then he hurt his PCL and he was kind of banged up for the remainder of the year.
55:13But how many quarter, that's my thing, is how many times did we see Tyreek Hill wide open downfield and Tyreek Hill waiting to do like a punt?
55:21And I'm concerned about whether Tua is going to be throwing into like contested situations with Drake London the same way.
55:27And I wonder if Tua is going to go to Bijan and Pitts and then like Panics will be going to London and Pitts.
55:34Do you feel better about, you feel better about Kirk Cousins and Mendoza than, than Panics and Tua, right?
55:39Yeah, I think so. Yeah. When was the last time Tua made you happy?
55:43Toss in the coordinators and the play. Like if you have to pick Clint Kubiak, Kirk Cousins and Mendoza versus Stefanski, Panics
55:49and Tua, are you easily picking the Raiders? I feel better about the Raiders.
55:53The other thing that Stefanski I'll say is that, and this I keep thinking about with Bijan as the number two pick
55:59and Gibbs is the Falcons have first round picks and a lot of high draft picks on the offensive line.
56:05But the Falcons have Bill Callahan who came with Stefanski from Cleveland.
56:08He's considered the best offensive line coach in the NFL, which is worth keeping in mind.
56:13Yeah. Is the line in Atlanta might be pretty good, which I, to that, and that puts it over for me, Craig.
56:19If Kubiak were in Atlanta, we'd be frothing at the mouth.
56:22Yeah, that's true. That's a good point. Frothing at the mouth.
56:25Over the offensive line play. We would have rabies.
56:27Yeah. Big time. Famously frothing over line play. Anyway, that's a very long way of saying, I guess the action item in
56:34Atlanta is it, other than take Bijan if you have a top two pick, are you higher on Drake London?
56:39Are you high in pits or are you like draft Jahan?
56:42What is the action item on this? That's a good question.
56:45I think, I mean, Bijan, Bijan's going, Bijan's going number two.
56:48Bijan's going number two. So like, if you want to take it number one, sure.
56:53If this was convincing for you, to me, it's more like a pits bet and a London bet, like being confident in London, what he's going to do.
57:01So, but yeah, that's a good point. I don't know if there's a ton of action items on this, to be honest,
57:07other than being confident in pits or the quarterbacks, I suppose.
57:10Tua? Are you going to draft Tua? What a year.
57:13The takeaway here, the phrase was just uttered. I guess the only takeaway here is to draft Kyle Pitts.
57:18We're back. We've never been so back. Who I did just take in a guillotine league.
57:22I know, you did. With our listeners. A 32-team guillotine league.
57:26Yeah. Feel great about it. Okay. There's one more team, Heifert, you want to throw out?
57:30Another team I want to put out there, and it's not, when we say next year's, this year's Colts, I don't mean
57:36that this team will be seven and one and be up there with the two thousand rams.
57:41No, but it's smart to shout this team out because I think it's fair.
57:45I think it fits the mold. And I think that this team will be better than this year's Colts, which is the Tennessee Titans.
57:52I actually think the Colts will come in last place in the AFC South.
57:56I think the Titans will come in. Wow. And I think the Texans and Jags will both make the playoffs again, but
58:02I think the Titans will beat the Colts this year in the division, which isn't like the hottest take, but they did literally.
58:08I think that's a pretty hot take. I mean, they've had the number one pick and then the fourth pick, like they've
58:14not been a good team, but it's for a very simple reason.
58:18Brian Dables made every quarterback he's been with better for 10 years.
58:21And Robert Sala has every defense Robert Sala's touched for a decade has been greater than the sum of its parts, including
58:27last year at the Niners when everyone got hurt.
58:30They were down three linebackers down Nick Bosa. They were down a combined going into reserves like nine players that should have been playing or not.
58:37And they beat the Eagles in the playoffs with no Fred Warner, with Bosa, without the, it was insane how many players,
58:43but how consistently Sala is able to get more out of players.
58:47And I look at the Titans. I think they'll be weirdly competent.
58:50They have a weird amount of pieces on the offensive line.
58:53I think the Titans are kind of like the Saints and kind of like these, the Colts where it's a little forgettable,
58:59not always leading the national media with the Tennessee Titans, but I don't know.
59:03I think it's easy to make solid Dable punchlines as coordinators or as head coaches, but I think Dable as a coordinator is rock solid.
59:10And I think Cam Ward year two leap. It's like, you know, it's not so sexy to talk about a year two
59:16quarterbacks, but Cam Ward's a gunslinger and Wanda Robinson in the slot.
59:20I think Cardinal Tate is a rookie is like a pretty underrated rookie.
59:24I mean, Cardinal Tate, I almost think it's swinging too far away from what was not a great draft class at receiver.
59:30However, dude, Cardinal Tate was the fourth pick in the draft.
59:33He's flying under the radar for sure. Not a top 60 pick in fantasy.
59:37And that is not how the last five or six years have gone in fantasy football.
59:41And so I understand why, but I still thought Cardinal Tate, my conference kept being teeny Higgins because I think that he's not necessarily the most.
59:48Yeah, I think he's pretty slithery actually, but it's, I think Cardinal Tate's like instantly a top 10 contested catch receiver in football.
59:55Anyway, I wouldn't be shocked if the Titans are weirdly competent.
59:58And it's not sexy, but like Tony Pollard, who we used to love and then broke his leg and then went to a poorly coordinated team.
60:05Tony Pollard, how much juice does he need to have?
60:08So you're like, oh my God, he's still got it.
60:11Cardinal Tate being good. Calvin Ridley. I think Kimir Dike might be the best fourth receiver in the NFL for God's sake.
60:17Like, so all that's to say, I just, the Titans have a lot of talent that if you saw it happen, I believe it.
60:24I would believe every individual player on the Titans could perform.
60:27I think this is worth shouting out. Again, this is not like you should be reaching for all these players, anything like that.
60:33It's just like when you're in the doldrums of the draft and there are players just sitting there and you want to
60:40make a bet on like upside that nobody else would expect.
60:43Yeah. If Kim Ward, who was the first pick in the draft, who I thought had legitimate flashes last year on a
60:49disastrous Titans team, like Brian Dable turning him around and they take a receiver fourth overall to pair with him.
60:54I would not, you would not be shocked if the fourth, the first overall pick in year two takes a big leap
61:01with Brian Dable as his play caller. What if he looks a little bit?
61:05That's not a crazy outcome. What if he looks a little bit like Caleb Williams did last year?
61:10You know what I mean? There was, I think some Caleb Williams-esque type play.
61:14I've heard a couple of people say this, but with Cam Ward or like as a rookie where he makes the most
61:20miraculous throws and kind of runs around and does his thing.
61:23And, and there are certain, if you did his best 10 plays, he would look like one of the best quarterbacks in
61:29the NFL, but his worst 10 plays are pretty.
61:32He's trying to make chicken salad on chicken shit a little too much.
61:35Right, right, right. Is Cam Ward a better quarterback prospect than Daniel Jones?
61:39I think so. Yeah. By a lot. I thought he was, yeah.
61:42Well, Brian Dable won a playoff game with Daniel Jones.
61:45DK, do you think Cam Ward is a better prospect than Mendoza?
61:48No, no, no. I think, I think I would have had Mendoza like a tier higher.
61:53Okay. I agree with that. I just, I, but I do think Cam Ward has the kind of thing also for fantasy.
61:59Like he rips it and Brian Dable wants quarterbacks will rip it.
62:02Also, we've talked about this. Just love his confidence.
62:05Love his swag. Like he just has that it factor.
62:08He's talking shit to shitter. Yeah. Like that to me was like, damn, I like this guy.
62:13Also, he, he started out as a walk-on. Didn't he?
62:15He fits. You've talked about, I think it's, I, I, I, I sound so sappy when I say this.
62:21Holy cross. I think as much as there are issues with NIL and the transfer portal, Cam Ward is like the American dream.
62:27He went from. He was a zero star. I think is what I meant.
62:31Zero star recruit. Cam Ward went from one college offer to number one pick.
62:35And that only happened because of the portal. So it's a reminder.
62:38Like there's a reason there's NIL on the transfer portal because the old system is bad.
62:43The new one's kind of insane, but I, Cam Ward stories was not possible even four years ago, but anyway, uh, all
62:49that's to say, I want to ask you if you have to pick any Titans player at cost, I suppose, who are you most interested in?
62:56So I know my answer. I, who's your answer.
62:59This is so ironic because we make fun of them constantly, but Wanda Robinson's getting 120 targets this year.
63:04Oh, I mean, it's, it's going to be, it's a PPR sort of cheat code thing.
63:09Scam. As I think I've heard people say, um, but it is what it is.
63:13I mean, I think he's going to catch a lot of passes.
63:16So I think he's going outside the top 115 in drafts.
63:19He's the 46th wide receiver off the board right now.
63:22His ceiling is 140 targets two years in a row with the 140, 140 two years.
63:27He's got 90 plus balls back to back years.
63:29Same offensive coordinator. And, and obviously they paid him a bunch of money or play.
63:33Caller, I should say, but yeah, the point being they paid him to play and Wanda is going to play for 17 million.
63:40I mean, I think Carnell Tate being there is going to siphon away some targets certainly.
63:44But, uh, yeah, I think he's still going to be the easy button outlet type guy in that offense.
63:50They're going to get them. They're going to scheme up ways to get them to football.
63:54Hyvans, who do you like? Who would you pick?
63:57I think at cost, I think this is a lame answer.
64:00I feel like Tony Pollard is not a player I life at cost, but he's the perfect example of a player who will fall.
64:07Like I, I, every year there's like players that kind of fall because no one wants them.
64:11Like we were, we joked a couple of years ago, Joe Mixon, like some, there are certain players that are so boring
64:18that like when he was on, you said it actually had a good year.
64:21Yeah. A round or two. And I think Tony Pollard's a guy that like, you might be thinking about taking him and then you don't.
64:28And then you come back up and you're like, Tony Pollard is still here.
64:32And I'm a, I'm a hesitant to recommend him solely because there's so many higher upside players in that range.
64:38I'd rather have like, you know, Carnel Tate or Jordan Tyson or, you know, other receivers, but Tony Pollard fell.
64:44But to DK's point, Wanda has weird upside. Considering one of them constantly, but I mean, come on.
64:49The cheat code does have upside. And the other part, this is a deeper cut.
64:53I'm convinced Camara DK will be relevant this year.
64:55He's buried on the depth chart. He's not, you don't have to draft him in like a regular fantasy league, but I
65:02think Camara DK is buried by, you know, this Calvin Ridley, Carnel Tate.
65:05You know, there's just a lot of players in Tennessee, but players who move like Camara DK don't stay on the bench for very long.
65:12Could the Titans have a sneaky, sneaky, good offensive skill group?
65:15Cause we, we've gotten some hype from aisle menor.
65:18Uh, I, oh man, mind your manners. Yeah. I, oh man, or has had some hype in camp too.
65:23Uh, he's good. Yeah. I don't know. Yeah. Um, yeah, they have depth.
65:27Okay. So with all that said, well, I have one other question I want to ask you is, but before that of
65:33all these, who are the, who's the player that you're most convinced that you want to take after all this?
65:39Cause I think Craig talking about the saints. I am very intrigued by Jordan Tyson.
65:43I think that's the player that I think about a lot.
65:46And for me, it's the Vikings. It's Kyler Murray.
65:48It minutes Kyler Murray being a 10th round quarterback to me when he could very easily run for, he could very easily
65:55next year being taken alongside Drake may. Yeah. If he has a good year in Minnesota, like Kyler is my individual favorite player.
66:01And then I liked that Jordan Mason's the last running back left.
66:05Is there anyone else that you guys like? I like both Jordans.
66:08I would say Jordan Addison and Jordan Tyson. And then I agree with you about Kyler.
66:12Yeah. I was going to say, I'm kind of intrigued by ETN buying the dip on ETN because I think coming into
66:19the year ETN was getting a little bit more hype than the Camara thing happened.
66:23And basically he could end up stealing some of the valuable touches from ETN, but I still think in this offense, if
66:29they're, I do think they're going to try and get him involved in the passing game ETN as well.
66:34So I think ETN could be a value. And then Tyler Shuck just being a good value as a QB two.
66:40If you're, especially in super flex leagues, he's kind of the last quarterback taken that will be able to actually sneaky run.
66:46Yeah. I mean, he could end up like last year.
66:49He was a QB. He was a QB one.
66:52He was the QB 12 snuck in there. But I mean, that kind of, that's, that's a good value where he's going.
66:58Yeah. All right. Now for a special part of today's episode, our ultimate captain's leadership draft brought to you by EA sports,
67:04Madden NFL 27 powered by the all new persona engine.

67:19All right. You're doing an ultimate captain. DK, who are you building your team around?
67:24I want to go with Baker Mayfield. I mean, he's just a, he's a guy you want to be around on the field and off the field.
67:31Yeah. Yeah. He's all about confidence, swag. You know, he's not afraid to talk trash with the other team.
67:37I like that. I want, it's a guy I want to follow.
67:40I like that. I didn't expect you to go sass heavy.
67:43I got some sassy. He's sassy. Yeah. I think I would go with my boy out in LA, Herbie, Justin Herbert, a
67:49big man, a man that you can literally get behind and he'll lead you into battle.
67:54He'll die for you out there in the field.
67:56You know, he's not, he's, he's understated off the field.
67:59Sure. He just found love, which I'm happy about.
68:02He's, you know, going to, going to build a life with somebody he found.
68:06That's beautiful. But I also feel like a guy who doesn't say a whole lot, keeps it on the field.
68:11Players love him in the locker room, plays through injuries.
68:14He'll do anything for you. He lets us play to the talking, Craig.
68:18He's got great hair. Like what else do you need?
68:20I'll tell you what he needs. I want Lamar Jackson.
68:23His speed is 96. Okay. So good luck with Herbert's hair.
68:26Fine. And Baker's, you know, okay. Well, sass, I'm going to take Lamar Jackson.
68:30What about beyond his stats? Which is, was a prompt for this competent, for this little draft here.
68:35Is it, it's beyond the stats, not just his speed score.
68:38Call the persona engine. Lamar is himself. Lamar like doesn't have people.
68:42Lamar doesn't do like PR. Lamar doesn't have like agents putting out, you know, things about his injuries.
68:47Lamar is real, man. Lamar is as real as he gets.
68:50He's himself. Lamar does kind of have some sass to him too.
68:53A little bit of sass. You do have to worry about his bowels though.
68:57He's had some issues. So you got to make sure that his stomach's feeling all right.
69:02You think that's a thing when you substitute in the game?
69:05Yeah. You never know. What if, what if there's a moment in the playoffs when Lamar has, has, has to do number two.
69:11Yeah. Well, at least I'll see in the playoffs.
69:14I'm like you guys. Okay. That part of today's episode is brought to you in Madden NFL 27, where you're in full

70:44Okay. You guys want to get a couple emails?
70:47We'll get out of here. Yeah. Emails. So we've been trying to figure out if we can make this bill idea work of a grenade.
70:54I don't know. Yeah. The Rogers grenade now, but we, well, we joked about Aaron Rogers grenade.
70:59We'll, we'll, we'll nailed it. If we want an Aaron Rogers related idea.
71:02Okay. I got one too that we can, if it's hopefully if it's not the same.
71:07Yeah. Well, the whole thing was like, we were looking for survivor, right?
71:11Like, like the immunity idol. It should be the Aaron Rogers immunity idol.
71:14Okay. As someone who doesn't watch survivor, does that, you get a little thing that gives you, it's a good thing in survivor.
71:21Don't worry too much about the details. It's the Aaron Rogers immunity idol.
71:24It's just funny. Yeah. I don't know what we call it.
71:27Maybe someone used to get Rogers every week. I don't know what the mechanism, but I do think that should be the
71:34name is the Aaron Rogers immunity idol. Yeah. I think you like the net to bill.
71:38That's not bad. We'll figure out what it is later.
71:41Can I do one real quick? This is from Kyle in front of the show, Kyle and email.
71:46No, this is, he sent, he texted this to me, but I think, I think it's pretty smart.
71:51Wait, did you already read the email? I thought you were just doing the Aaron Rogers.
71:56I was excited. Open the inbox and you're like, no, I opened my, I opened my text message.
72:01Now he called me at home. Anyway, here it is.
72:03Grenade idea. The league decides on a QB, whether that's Rogers, Gino, probably need like a few in case there's injuries.
72:09During the draft, this is kind of like our, our punishment draft.
72:13During the actual draft for your league, you draft a week in which you have to start that quarterback.
72:18So week one person is drafting that player. Then they drop them.
72:21And then he's back on the white waiver wire or whatever.
72:24But basically the longer you wait in your draft, the more likely it's going to be like late in the season that you're stepping on that grenade.
72:32And you might be, you might eliminate a few of the first few weeks.
72:36So it's like, there's more stakes later on in the season or whatever, depending on how many people are in your league.
72:42But then, yeah. So basically you have to draft a week in which you start the worst core pack.
72:47So you'd be like, Oh, I want to take Aaron Rogers week three when they play the Raiders.
72:53Right. And you don't want to get saddled with Aaron Rogers week 14 against the Texans.
72:57Right. Exactly. In the fantasy playoffs. Yeah. So I think there's some, there's some real, like this feels realistic because then you're
73:03not, it just like, uh, it feels like a mess.
73:06If you're having random people assign people grenades and things like that.
73:09Yeah. That becomes pretty. I mean, if we did that, that's pretty hardcore because that means somebody would land on, like, let's
73:16say Aaron Rogers in week 14 against the Texans, which like kills your chances of winning a playoff.
73:21I mean, like it's over. If you have to start the worst part of the league against the fucking Texans or whatever,
73:27I mean, like how early would you make that pick in your draft?
73:30Can you do that with the first round, get it out of the way?
73:34Right. Um, I, yeah, I think it's kind of a fun, it's a draft day strategy thing, which is kind of fun.
73:41Yeah. My only concern is, does it just become like, someone's like, well, I have Josh Allen and the bills buys week seven.
73:47So I'll take week seven. Here we go. That becomes pretty fucking lame.
73:51Kyle didn't think of that. Now did he? Yeah.
73:53But then you have to start some piece of shit on, in week seven.
73:57Yeah. But like, it makes it easier for you.
74:00Like, all right, I won't add a backup because I have to do this.
74:04You can't do it on your bye week. How about that?
74:07Oh, Kyle did think of that. Well, bylaws. Look, we got to, we can work out the legalese and like the small print on this stuff.
74:14Sure. You know, we'll do it. What else we got?
74:17Keep tweaking. Uh, a lot, dude, people love this Rams 49ers Australia.
74:20I'm fascinated by it. You know, it's the rare story.
74:23Who is going to Australia for Sean McVay? It, no, well, I wish, no, I, but it is the rare story where
74:29sometimes everyone is, I, it is fascinating and not overrated.
74:32Because I, all people are going to talk about is the travel to this game and the jet lag and everything.
74:38But it's the rare thing where the public and the private is going to be completely, all the players are going to
74:44be talking about us, the fucking jet lag and the flight.
74:47And it's, it is what they all be thinking about too.
74:50And so we were talking about how, again, Craig, you pointed out that, well, I think my, is Mike Florio reporting it?
74:56I don't know. But the idea is that the Niners are currently slated to get to the Australia, like eight days before
75:03the game, which I keep screwing up which day it is.
75:06The night they're playing Friday, but that's ahead. So it's Thursday at like eight Eastern five 30 Pacific.
75:11But that's Friday. Yeah. They're playing in the future.
75:13Sure. So it's 17 hours ahead, which is really seven hours behind.
75:17Yeah. So a lot of people emailed in saying that it seems that the rule of thumb is a day per time zone.
75:23So if you want to make up seven hours, it takes about a week.
75:27So the Niners are doing that. Niners are going about eight days before and they, and they're going to be there like the week before in eight days.
75:35And the Rams are going to show up the day before the game.
75:38They're going to play the game. And then they're going to leave the day after the game.
75:43So they're going to be there. Like the only full day that the Rams will be in Australia is the day of the game.
75:50They're going to arrive the day before or leave the day after.
75:53Yeah. We thought that was crazy, right? Like we thought that was nuts basically.
75:57Well, I feel like that is the, that is the like advanced analytics move.
76:01The like, we're going to fly as close as we can to the game feels more modern.
76:06That feels like we're getting, we're getting cute. And the Niners are going old school.
76:10That is the consensus among the travelers, among the people that have emailed in from Australia and other people who have experience
76:16kind of think the Rams have the better strategy.
76:19And that showing up and just being like, we're going to just fucking anchor to Los Angeles time for like 30 hours and then get the fuck out.
76:27Everyone seems to think that'll be better. They should just circle the plane above Australia and create their, their own form of
76:33sunrise and sunset so that it feels like they're still in LA until three hours before the game.
76:38And then you just land. Well, you joke. That's one of the, so here, this email is from Ben.
76:43B bone. Ben. Benji. Ben says, I'm an air force pilot.
76:46I have flown across the Pacific. There it is.
76:49Yeah. Anytime you start an email. Oh yeah. It's really cool.
76:52Ben says, I've flown across the Pacific ocean. I wanted to offer my thoughts on the different strategies for the Rams and Niners.
76:59What kind of plane we talking here? You know, big one.
77:02Probably actually probably not. Are we need to fish big?
77:04If he's flying across the, the ocean, it's probably a big plane, a big plane, but I guess they can refuel anyway.
77:11I don't know. What's a big plane to you?
77:13Yeah. How do you describe a big plane? Like one of those, uh, globe masters.
77:17Do you ever, you ever look that up? I think that's what it's called.
77:21Globe master. It's a great name. Oh, that is a big plane.
77:25I think that's our biggest plane. Oh, wow. C 17 globe master.
77:28That's thick. I think, yeah, the thing has some, some girth to it.
77:32So Ben B bone, pilot B bone, captain B bone.
77:34I don't know. So the typical rule of thumb pilots use crossing time zones is takes your body a day per time zone adjusted.
77:41So yes, Sydney's 17 hours ahead, but that's seven hours.
77:44So he said, but that being said, I think the Rams have a clear advantage because their bodies will please try to track this.
77:51Cause I feel like I understand what he's saying, but I'm not totally sure, but he's a pilot.
77:56So I think he's right. He says the Rams bodies will only be one time zone away from California time.
78:01So the five 30 Pacific time kickoff, I think what he means is being there for a day or is like your
78:08body's only shifted about an hour rule of thumb.
78:10And it'll feel to them like it's like four 30 Pacific.
78:13Their body will feel like it's four 30 Pacific, which is not that different from when they normally play a night game.
78:19The Niners, their bodies will be about five hours off California time.
78:23And there's still be two hours away from being fully adjusted.
78:26So the Niners bodies will become where we caught somewhere in the Pacific ocean.
78:30The Niners bodies thinking it's about 12 30 PM when it will actually be 10 30 in Australia and five 30 in California.
78:36And so as long as the Rams play, stay disciplined with lighting, avoid the sun when their bodies think it's nighttime.
78:42There we go. Yeah. And the Rams get back on the plane home before their bodies even know what happened.
78:48The Niners run the risk of having players. Like you're pulling a bait and switch on your body.
78:53This is like a body heist. Yeah. Indiana Jones grabbed the thing and put the bag on it.
78:58Yeah. We're going to trick our bodies into thinking we're still in LA.
79:02Why? It's Oceans 11 with the fake vault. They're like, nah, nah, nah, nah.
79:05I mean, I'm sure this, this does make, this feels like a Christopher Nolan movie.
79:10Yeah. Jesus. Yeah. So the, it is body heist.
79:12The other thing that I think, someone put it well, is that McVay, if you want to be all, you know, finance-y
79:18about it, McVay is pulling all of the risk into week one.
79:22As someone summarized, whereas the Niners are dispersing the risk across the ultra weeks.
79:26Interesting. They're asking, basically someone was like, it's a little risky to ask the Niners bodies.
79:30Like, and again, it's, it's a lot to talk about, but like peak performance does matter.
79:35Like the MLB, one of the biggest things they do is sleep because they play baseball players travel so much.
79:40It matters a lot. The Niners are asking their players to change body clocks twice in like 10 days because they're going
79:46to go to Australia, have them change, play a game, get the shit kicked out of them by the Rams.
79:52Probably after the sub, go back and change back to East coast or the West coast time, and then keep playing football.
79:58So, whereas the Rams are just kind of sacrificing week one, but no matter what happens, if they don't adjust, they don't adjust.
80:05They're back in America and they never tried to adjust at all.
80:08And so I think that that's the other reason the Rams thing makes sense is let's say they lose the game.
80:14It's a bad strategy. All right. You're Oh, and one, but you're back on West coast time.
80:19Whereas the Niners might try lose and then have to adjust again and kind of feel like they're playing another international game
80:25in week two, because they're going seven hours back and they have like a week to do that, which is weird.
80:31You know, the Niners are getting fucked. I think my, I, I kind of get what this is, what they, what he's saying here.
80:38And I think this is exactly what the Rams, I'm sure I've read the research on this and like have probably talked
80:44to some person in the military about it or whatever.
80:47And, and kind of going with that plan. But I still think my, my just initial impression is we're talking about jet
80:53lag versus just being fucking tired from flying. Well, traveling again, they're not traveling like you and I are.
80:58Yeah, but you have to fly the whole, you have to fly the whole team there.
81:03It's not like they're not an accident. They're not all getting first class.
81:06Do you know, it's not an accident. You know, the Niners play in week two, they get 10 days to play in week two.
81:13Cardinals, the dolphins. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe they're, maybe they're renting out like a globe master.
81:17And I think the Rams play Monday night football.
81:20Like they, they definitely tried to give them as much time as possible in week two.
81:24I, I'm kind of fascinated. DK, what you just mentioned is like, like making sure that the players sleep when they're supposed
81:30to on the flights is very interesting. Like, I wonder if they're going to have like a sleep fucking coat guru there
81:37to be like, everybody take your melatonin at noon.
81:39But that's the thing is, and wake up at eight.
81:42What if you take the sleeping pills and can't sleep?
81:45And then you get off the plane and you're like awake sleeping pill.
81:48Yeah. I mean, I just like the worst part of it is like, it's almost just as crucial as the game itself
81:54as it is, is how much sleep do they get on the flight over?
81:58And is it at the right time? Exactly what I'm talking about.
82:02I'm like, when I fly, I get really light sleep.
82:05I feel like shit the next day. I'm tired as hell.
82:08And yes, jet lag also makes you tired, but I'm like travel tired versus jet.
82:12I think I would choose jet lag tired. They need to provide enough planes where everybody can lay down in a bed.
82:18Right. In the air. Hence the globe master built some bunk beds.
82:21Maybe they have like a catering cart that they can put the Rams on.
82:25Maybe Ben, maybe Ben can fly some of the Rams himself to Australia.
82:29That's good. This is very fascinating though. Human beings weren't meant to for air travel.
82:33Probably. We're not supposed to be that high. We're not supposed to be up that high guys.
82:38Sure. We are. Sure. We are. We're going to be on Mars soon.
82:42Come on. What are you talking about? All right.
82:44I got one other email here about microwaves. Oh, this is interesting.
82:48Okay. We're talking about how we don't want to stand in front of it.
82:51We don't think it's bad for us, but we also don't want to test it with our brains.
82:57We're just like putting your hand over your crotch when you're nearby.
83:00My instinct is to make fun of the players for thinking in the substation is a thing, but my lived reality is, yeah, I get it.
83:07Right. So Jay wrote in. Jay. Jay. Breakfast was an energy drink and protein bar.
83:11Okay. Okay. Jay writes, I'm an engineer. Microwaves are not radioactive.
83:15And he called us idiots. And he said, if you look at a microwave, you will notice there's a metal mesh screen built into the door.
83:22This screen is called a Faraday cage. Microwave rays have a high wavelength that cannot physically fit through the holes of the mesh, even though visible light can.
83:30The waves dissipate. Prove it. Dissipate when they hit this.
83:32Sorry. I'm just kidding. The waves dissipate. Dissipate. I can never say that.
83:36When they hit the metal, you can imagine a microwave ray as being a rock and visible light being like grains of
83:42sand trying to pass through a sieve. The microwave rays can't fit and get stopped.
83:47So you have nothing to worry about by being near a microwave when it's on.
83:51And it's a dumb conspiracy theory from people who didn't pay attention in science class.
83:55So I can put my head right up next to a microwave when it's on, put my balls right up to it.
84:01It's all good. Just drop your balls right on top of it.
84:05Right on the door. It's like the cage in the zoo.
84:08Just put your balls right there. Put them on the door.
84:11Okay. Yeah. What if the cage is damaged? Just what if he shot me in the head?
84:15All right. That was good to know. No, that is actually quite fascinating.
84:19The sieve metaphor is helpful. Thank you. It is.
84:22That's like a useful party knowledge. You know, I feel like everybody thinks microwaves are bad for you to stand by.
84:28So it's good. It's a fun conspiracy to be a fan of.
84:31I'll say my friend Jay told me, who's an engineer, that it's fine.
84:35Jay said we're good. Yeah. It's a Faraday cage.
84:37I hear a lot about these Faraday cages. Didn't never know what they were.
84:41Yeah. I'm always worried about Faraday cages. Everyone's talking about Faraday cages.
84:44I'm always worried about it. This is good. If anyone else wants to disprove conspiracy theories, we can do that too.
84:50Disproving low stakes or more low stakes conspiracies. I'll take either.
84:53I forgot to say one thing about the saints.
84:56I wanted to bring up a Tyler Shuck nickname possibility if he's really good.
85:00What do you guys think about, because he's so old, right?
85:03That's the narrative. What do you think about super senior?
85:06As a nickname. Is that lame or is that kind of cool?
85:09I wish it was like Kyle Pitts where he added senior and it's super senior.
85:13Is super senior kind of tongue in cheek? He's leaning in if he's really good at plays or is it doesn't work?
85:19You could say it doesn't work. It's okay. It made me laugh.
85:23I think it would be incredible if it was like Kyle Pitts where he added Pitts senior to his name on his nameplate.
85:29If it said Shuck senior, then we got a super senior.
85:32Done. Yeah, that's true. I guess if he was a senior, it would have played a lot better.
85:37You're right. There needs to be a connection. Mother Shucker is right there.
85:41Yeah. But like, yeah, I guess. I mean, that's certainly the funniest.
85:44Super senior Shucker. It's not bad. I'm making sure he's not a senior.
85:48He's not. Although he did play in the senior bowl.
85:51What do you mean not a senior? Oh, like he has a kid?
85:55Yeah, I don't think he has a kid in time.
85:57I'm making sure that he doesn't. Somehow go by Tyler Shuck senior.
86:01We're going to Google Tyler Shuck sons. Does he have children?
86:04I believe he does. Oh, yeah, actually this year.
86:06But the kid is named Grayson. Damn it. Which, man, we should have named him Tyler and then that would work.
86:12I know. He did play in the senior bowl.
86:15Okay, I think I'm back. I think it's funny.
86:17Yeah, super senior. Nah, it's probably not good. It's okay.
86:20We'll keep noodling. Okay. All right. So thank you to DK.
86:23Thank you to Craig. Thank you to Cam. Thank you to Nikhil.
86:27Thank you to Abu. Thank you, Austin. Thank you, Carlos.
86:29Thank you, everyone for listening. Email us with other microwave adjacent things.
86:33Email us more thoughts on the Australia travel. Email us.
86:36Oh, you know what I want? If you are a sleep expert.
86:39Yes. I don't sleep well on planes. I sleep terribly on planes.
86:42I always have my whole life. If you can give me tips on how to fall asleep on a plane, I would be eternally grateful.
86:49Drugs. Yeah, I was going to say. Sure. Honestly, tell me which ones.
86:53Whatever you want. Ambien. Ambien, maybe. I don't know.
86:56Okay. Well, I'd like the expert to tell me.
86:58Yeah, I'm just, I'm throwing out names of things.
87:01DK's like a couple Ambien's and a whiskey. You'll be fine.
87:04Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Keep them coming. Lord. Lord.
87:06Am I doing it today? I got it if you want it.
87:10I'm always packing. I kind of want it. I kind of want to do it.
87:14All right. Then do it. If you want it, then do it.
87:17All right. We're going to the all-time classic Shake That by Eminem and Nate Dogg from 2009.
87:22Shake that ass for me. Shake that ass for me.
87:25Come on, girls. First verse. First verse is an all-timer.
87:28Get buzzed. Get drunk. Get crunk. Get fucked up.
87:30Is that 09? That's later than I thought. I think it is.
87:33No, it's 05, I think. Wait, hold on. Maybe I got it wrong.
87:37That's the one with the curtains, right? Shake that.
87:40The Eminem show or the curtain call. Curtain call.
87:42Yeah, yeah. Was that? I don't think that was that.
87:45Oh, sorry. It is 2005. You're right. My bad.
87:47The red one. Hey, DK, let me. If you're going to do the millennial bangers, you need to get your information right.
87:54All right? You're right. That's my bad. You need to know when this shit came out.
87:58I have a question. Does this count? Is it in the right time frame or are we too early?
88:03Yeah, absolutely. I think my question with Shake That, which one, that, yeah, that one, that was quite the song to come
88:10out when Craig and I were like 11. My other thing about Shake That, because that music video is animated, right?
88:16Do you remember the music video for that? I don't.
88:18Vaguely. It's when you're 11. Nuts. It's illuminating. That's the first animated music, like rap video.
88:23Oh, interesting. I wonder if there had been an animated, maybe probably literally yes, but I'm wondering how many rappers have really
88:29had an animated video yet in like 2005. I had to get Nate Dogg here to sing some shit.
88:34Oh, Nate Dogg. Two to the one. One of the best voices.
88:38I love this. I love this song. I love this song for a feature for like a coming in to do the hook.
88:44Two to the one to the three. DK, you say the next line.
88:48I'll say this line. Ready? Two to the one to the one to the three.
88:52I like good pussy and I like good tree.
88:55That's a great line. You sick fuck. You sick fuck.
88:57You sailor, you. That's a great one. Adding it to the playlist.
89:01I got to just, I got to, I got to release the playlist soon.
89:05But I have one more. I get Moast in a toilet seat.
89:08Man. That's good. Oh, that's really good. Two to the one to the one to the three.
89:13I like good pussy and I like good tree.
