Aaron Rodgers

PositiveProjection54:00

Aaron Rodgers had 300 yards and three touchdowns against the Bengals with a pick that wasn't his fault. He had tons of time in the pocket, the offensive line looked great, and he tied his career-high with 85 completions of 20+ yards with the Steelers. The source notes that when Rodgers is kept clean, he still looks elite with a top-seven arm in the league.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

NegativeProjection71:57

Dislocated his thumb on his right hand (throwing hand) on the last offensive play of the Buccaneers' loss to the Vikings; the source notes this is particularly problematic given the Buccaneers are 0-3 and the backup is an undrafted rookie free agent; the source describes Mayfield's play as looking like 'a desperation fourth and 10 with the game online' on every snap, suggesting he is playing poorly under pressure from the Vikings' aggressive defense.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection13:00

Bo Nix led the Broncos to a comeback win from 16-0 down, scoring 30 points total. However, the source notes a pattern where Nix plays poorly for three quarters and then wins the game, comparing him to the New York Knicks' Jalen Brunson. The source describes this as Nix playing 'three shitty quarters and then they win the goddamn game,' suggesting inconsistent performance masked by results.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeUsage38:00

Thomas is doing basically nothing in the Jaguars' offense despite being a key player; the source notes the Jaguars are running their offense effectively with Thomas contributing minimally, suggesting either role limitations or underutilization.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveUsage32:00

Bowers had 10 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown against the Saints; 12 of Kirk Cousins' first 25 passes were to Bowers. The source notes Bowers has as many games with one touchdown, 10 catches, and 100 yards over the last three years as every other tight end in the NFL combined in that span, despite being injured for much of the period. He is described as effortlessly open and performing at a high degree of difficulty on every big play.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection68:29

300 yards, 4 touchdowns, 0 turnovers in Week 3; ranked number two quarterback in fantasy on the season with 10 touchdowns and 1 turnover; has not been sacked (0 sacks through three weeks); the source considers him in MVP contention alongside Josh Allen and notes this is 'the best season Brock Purdy has had to begin a year'; Sheil Kapati's EPA per play stat shows Purdy had the best performance this week and second-best last week.

Insight page
PositiveRole68:29

Maintaining elite performance despite 49ers losing five receivers (Pearsall, Stripling, Christian Kirk, Demarcus Robinson, Mike Evans) and seven defensive linemen in three weeks; George Kittle (31, coming off Achilles injury) is the most healthy receiver option; Purdy 'just keeps fucking ripping it' and has made the 49ers offense 'as good as any team in the NFL' despite unprecedented injury attrition; the source notes he looks 'phased' at no point and hasn't been sacked due to his ability to escape pressure and extend plays.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

NegativeRole20:00

Prescott had 14 seconds to work with on the final drive of the Cowboys-Ravens game and could not execute; he took a sack and threw the ball away over George Pickens' head in the end zone when Pickens was open, leading to a field goal attempt instead of a potential touchdown. The source notes that Kirk Cousins completed a drive in 12 seconds the same day, and the Cowboys had failed to spike the ball in 19 seconds earlier in the season, suggesting Prescott's execution was subpar in a critical moment.

Insight page
NegativeRole20:00

Dak Prescott's clock management in the Cowboys-Ravens game was criticized. With the Cowboys down three, second and goal from the eight yard line with 20 seconds left, Prescott ran the ball for three yards, forcing a timeout. On third and goal with 14 seconds left, he threw the ball away over George Pickens' head in the end zone, resulting in a field goal attempt instead of a potential touchdown.

Insight page

Darnell Washington

PositiveRole59:00

The source expresses enthusiasm for Darnell Washington as a player, calling him 'my favorite player in NFL history' and stating he is 'so fun to watch.' The source suggests Washington should receive 10 targets per game and would like to see him paired with Saquon Barkley on the same team.

Insight page
PositiveRole59:10

Led the Broncos in receiving with 3 catches for 67 yards; described as exceptionally difficult to tackle with rare athleticism and nimbleness for his size; the source advocates the entire game plan should center on getting him the ball, comparing his receiving production and physical dominance to how the Rams utilized Devonta Adams (13 targets).

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeRole56:00

DK Metcalf committed a holding penalty late in the game against the Bengals when he grabbed a cornerback's shoulder pads on a play where the defender didn't even want to make a tackle. The source notes this is a pattern of behavior from Metcalf—he drives people insane with penalties and poor discipline, though he later scored a touchdown when wide open. The source is frustrated with his inconsistency and lack of discipline.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeInjury44:00

Doug Kide suggested Drake Maye may have suffered a shoulder injury in last year's Broncos AFC Championship game and hasn't been the same since, possibly still recovering. The source notes Maye is not on the injury report despite potential lingering shoulder issues, raising questions about whether the problem is physical or mental.

Insight page
NegativeBust44:00

Drake Maye has six interceptions through three games (already matching his eight-game total from last season) and nine fumbles plus 10 interceptions over a seven-game span since the playoffs began—the first player with that turnover profile in a seven-game span since Jameis Winston's 2019 30-touchdown, 30-interception season. The Patriots offense has scored 29 points in 30 drives this season, the fewest points per drive by any team through three games since Zach Wilson's first three starts with the Jets in 2021.

Insight page
NegativeRole45:00

The source expresses deep concern about Drake Maye's mechanics, footwork, and decision-making: he has the yips mentally, is thinking too much and seeing too little, has no confidence or rhythm, feet are a mess, is always pressing at wrong times, doesn't see open receivers, and throws interceptions to covered receivers with clean pockets. He missed Pop Douglas for a wide-open touchdown at the goal line and threw a Carson Wentz-like interception to Travis Hunter at the goal line when the receiver wasn't even open.

Insight page
NegativeProjection47:00

Drake Maye is averaging 7 fantasy points per game through three weeks, second-to-last among NFL quarterbacks ahead of only Jameis Winston (4 points per game). The source notes you cannot win when your quarterback scores 4-7 points per game, making him unplayable in fantasy despite early-season hype.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup48:00

Despite an upcoming easier schedule (Bills, Raiders, Jets, Bears, Dolphins, Packers, Lions), the source remains skeptical Drake Maye will improve significantly, noting he hasn't played well since week 17 of last season. The source would start Geno Smith over Drake Maye for the next two weeks and would consider starting Deshaun Watson (averaging 18 points per game) over him.

Insight page

Geno Smith

NegativeProjection72:17

Threw 2 interceptions in the Seahawks' loss to the Commanders; the source notes the Seahawks made 'a couple of huge errors' including Darnold's two picks, contributing to what should have been an easy win against a backup quarterback.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeRole72:05

At 31 years old and coming off an Achilles injury, Kittle is the most healthy receiver option for the 49ers amid widespread injuries to five other receivers; despite the injury concern, the 49ers offense continues to function at an elite level with Brock Purdy.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveRole19:45

Pickens was open on the final play of the Cowboys-Ravens game when Dallas threw the ball away in the end zone; Dak Prescott said after the game that coverage plays Pickens 99% of the time, but on this 1% when he was super open, Dak was on autopilot following the call to throw it away unless Pickens was open. Offensive coordinator Schottenheimer acknowledged overcoaching the moment, saying if not 100% certain, just chuck it out of bounds, which Dak overindexed on with 14 seconds left.

Insight page
NegativeUsage20:15

George Pickens was targeted on a crucial third-and-goal play in the Cowboys-Ravens game, but Dak Prescott threw the ball away over his head in the end zone with 14 seconds left and the Cowboys down three.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeMatchup55:00

The Steelers have a wide receiver one problem and have never decided to cover Jamar Chase, seemingly unaware he exists. This defensive strategy is described as bizarre and a bold choice, allowing Chase to operate freely against Pittsburgh.

Insight page

Jacoby Brissett

PositiveValue47:00

With Drake Maye's poor performance, the source suggests Jacoby Brissett as a viable streaming option or replacement, implying he would be preferable to starting Drake Maye in fantasy leagues.

Insight page

Jalon Daniels

NegativeDepth Chart72:05

Undrafted rookie free agent out of Kansas who won the backup quarterback competition for the Buccaneers; the source expresses concern about this arrangement, noting it is unusual for a team to have an undrafted free agent as the backup quarterback and questioning the long-term planning of the organization.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveInjury1:15

Jaden Daniels has a dislocated elbow but is not going on IR; he is expected to miss approximately five games. The source notes that Kurt Warner played with a dislocated elbow, suggesting the injury is manageable for a starting quarterback.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeUsage10:30

Jalen Waddle had two catches for 24 total yards and one carry for 14 yards against the Rams, despite being the Broncos' best receiver. The source contrasts the Broncos' offensive philosophy with the Rams' approach, noting that Denver takes what the defense gives them rather than forcing the ball to their best players like McVay does with Adams and Puka Nacua.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveBreakout54:00

Jalen Warren looked electric against the Bengals, described as Kenneth Gainwell 2.0. He had an 85-yard run that got the Steelers to the five-yard line, and the Steelers' offense was making big plays with him in the mix.

Insight page
NegativeUsage72:07

Fumbled early in the Seahawks game and was benched until the second quarter; the Seahawks' leading rusher with only 15 yards; the source questions the team's running back strategy, noting they are waiting for Zach Charbonneau to return from an ACL tear in February, which is a 'strange plan.'

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeProjection57:00

Joe Burrow has a significant gap between perception of clutchness and actual fourth-quarter comeback wins. When the Bengals are losing in the fourth quarter under coach Zach Taylor, they are 1-30 (or approximately 5-60 depending on the stat), meaning Burrow rarely actually wins games when trailing late. Despite playing well in the loss to Pittsburgh (aside from a fumble), he continues this pattern of not delivering in clutch situations.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

NegativeRole72:06

Received the majority of passing targets in the Vikings' 23-16 win over the Cardinals; the game plan centered on getting him the ball as the primary receiving option.

Insight page

Josh Allen

NegativeMatchup38:00

Allen had an interaction with the NFL ball holder after Travis Hunter's interception, where he wanted the ball and the official would not give it to him; Allen claimed the official pushed and accosted him, leading to a humorous on-camera exchange.

Insight page

Kirk Cousins

PositiveProjection31:00

Cousins is the only quarterback this season with three passing touchdowns in each game through three weeks; he has nine total touchdowns and leads the NFL in touchdown passes. The source notes he was born to play in the McVay-Shanahan system and that this experiment of bringing in an established veteran to coach up the rookie is working swimmingly for the Raiders.

Insight page

Konata Mumpfield

PositiveUsage16:45

Kanata Mumpfield had 93 yards and a touchdown in the Rams-Broncos game. The source notes that with Devontae Adams dealing with a cramp, Mumpfield stepped up as a secondary receiving option in the Rams' thin receiving corps, which relies heavily on Adams and Puka Nacua.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeProjection72:02

Threw 'every ball off his back foot' in the Vikings' 23-16 win over the Cardinals; the entire game plan appeared to be 'just going to chuck it to Jordan Addison and hope he catches it'; the source notes that both Kyler and Baker Mayfield are in the 'waning era of their athleticism where they can't just run around and make shit up like they could,' making them vulnerable against teams with defensive line advantages.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveUsage16:15

Kyren Williams continues to be a dependable fantasy asset, described as 'printing money' and excellent in the passing game. The source notes that the game-winning touchdown was intended for Williams, with Stafford looking for him at the end of the Broncos' final drive.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

PositiveProjection70:38

Threw multiple touchdowns including a difficult throw to Traylon Burks; the source describes him as 'throwing some fucking dimes' and making 'really clutch throws late in the game'; despite being a backup quarterback, Mariota led the Commanders to a 27-20 upset win over the Seahawks with strong play and decision-making.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

NegativeProjection9:00

Matthew Stafford threw a pick-six in the Broncos-Rams game, extending his NFL record to 33 career pick-sixes. The source compares Stafford's tendency to Max Scherzer's propensity for solo home runs, noting that both challenge hitters/defenders aggressively and pay the price with big plays against them. Despite a strong game leading drives, the pick-six was described as a 'boneheaded' play that likely cost the Rams the game.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage37:00

Washington had an amazing touchdown in the Jaguars' win over the Patriots; the source notes that every week now Parker Washington does two or three incredible things, suggesting consistent high-level performance and involvement in the offense.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

PositiveMatchup26:00

Bateman caught the game-winning pass for the Ravens with under two seconds remaining in their comeback against Dallas; the source corrects an earlier mention of Zay Jones, confirming Bateman went down with two seconds left and it went down to one, part of the Ravens' historic seven-second game-winning drive.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

NegativeInjury14:15

Terrence Ferguson got hurt pretty early in the Rams-Broncos game, forcing the Rams to rely more heavily on Tyler Higbee and other tight ends in their three-tight-end package.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveProjection72:08

Described as 'incredible' in the Commanders' upset win over the Seahawks; the source was 'really impressed' with McLaurin's performance in the game.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

PositiveRole39:00

Hunter had a pick playing more at corner for the Jaguars, and the source notes this is the correct move positionally; he is being deployed more at corner rather than at receiver, which paid off with the interception.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

NegativeRole36:00

Lawrence took a knee at the one-yard line with eight minutes remaining in the Jaguars' game against the Patriots, refusing to score a touchdown. The source calls this a red flag, noting there are scenarios where you would not score at the one-yard line, but zero of them involve more than four minutes left in the game. Lawrence admitted afterward he did not know how much time was left, which the source finds concerning for a sixth-year quarterback.

Insight page

Treylon Burks

PositiveProjection72:32

Caught a touchdown pass from Marcus Mariota in the Commanders' upset win over the Seahawks; the source notes Mariota threw a difficult pass to Burks, demonstrating the quality of play from the backup quarterback.

Insight page

Tyler Higbee

PositiveRole14:15

Tyler Higbee was a huge part of the Rams-Broncos game and is part of the Rams' three-tight-end starting personnel package. With Terrence Ferguson injured early in the game, Higbee became a key target in the Rams' offense.

Insight page

Zay Jones

PositiveMatchup24:00

Jones (or Rashad Bateman, per the source's correction) caught the game-winning pass for the Ravens with under two seconds remaining in their comeback against Dallas; the source notes this was part of the Ravens' shortest game-winning drive of all time at seven seconds, per ESPN data going back to 1978.

2:25My name is Danny Heifetz. I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck.
2:28And we're going over all the games from week three of Sunday of week three of the NFL season.
2:34And we're going to start with Rams-Broncos, the Sunday day football game that just concluded.
2:39I think the Rams were robbed. That was really weird because the Rams totally intercepted a pass at the end of the Broncos game-winning drive.
2:46And then they called a foul on the Rams defensive back who intercepted a pass, even though it was clearly, clearly a foul on the Broncos.
2:54And so on one hand, I think the Rams were robbed, like unambiguously.
2:58I would agree with that. The receiver, was it Pat Bryant?
3:01Who was it? Troy Franklin? Yeah, Pat Bryant. It was Pat Bryant.
3:05He was flopping. Incredible acting job. Yeah. He did a great job.
3:08It was successful. But that was a remarkable interception by the Rams.
3:12When you bring in Terry, and Terry's like, yeah, I don't know.
3:15I can see anything. I don't see anything that would indicate that was a foul by the defender.
3:21I don't, again, it bears repeating. We haven't talked about it yet in 2026.
3:25When they bring in the ref specialist, and he's like, my job is to clear things up and let you know what me as an expert thinks.
3:33And he's like, that was a pick. It's ridiculous that we can't change the call to what the specialist tells 25 million Americans is the correct call.
3:41And yet, it's not allowed. I don't get it.
3:44Terry McCulley should just be in charge of the process.
3:47Like, they should just let him make the decision.
3:49It would be clear to everybody. I will say this.
3:52I don't want to complain about this too much because the reality is, and DK, I'm curious what you think.
3:58This was a ball don't lie. Whether it's cosmic, I don't think it's intentional or a conspiracy, but this is ball don't
4:05lie for the 2018 NFC Championship game, which is the worst foul call in my lifetime in any sport, which is when
4:11the Saints committed the defensive pass interference that was not called.
4:15And literally, the Rams went to the Super Bowl instead of the Saints because of the worst call I've ever seen.
4:21That was Sean Payton versus Sean McVay and the Rams.
4:24And it was Bill Vinovich was the same ref.
4:27Now, it wasn't the same like lower level ref that made the mistake, but it was Bill Vinovich, Sean Payton, Sean McVay, everyone like same people.
4:34So I'm like, yeah, the Rams kind of went to a Super Bowl because of this.
4:39So who cares? But everything at the end of this game was weird, including the Broncos clock management at the goal line.
4:46Frankly, they were lucky. I don't know why they let the Rams even have so much clock at the end.
4:52Everything about it was weird. I almost feel like coaches are regressing.
4:55They mismanaged it. Yeah, I feel like we're moving now away from using probabilities and advanced analytics.
5:00It's like now people are like, you know what?
5:03I know cigarettes are bad. I'm just going to do it.
5:06Like, I don't know why you wouldn't try to burn clock there.
5:10The first play was a pass and there was like 45 seconds left.
5:14The Rams had a timeout. Like they ran multiple passes.
5:17Why would you not just run the ball into the middle of the line as many times as you can to burn timeouts and burn time?
5:25Don't understand. Sean Payton's a Bill Parcells guy. Bill Parcells was like the clock management guy.
5:29And then it became Bill Belichick. And then I think honestly became Vrabel.
5:33And it's like this lost art. The Broncos are one of the last teams I would expect to make that mistake of the first.
5:40They're first and one at first to go at the one.
5:44And they do the play action rollout. And I'm like, run the ball.
5:48And if you get stuff, that's good. Because then you have like take a timeout with 18 seconds left.
5:53Run it three more plays or two more plays.
5:56Get in or kick the field goal. But if you score a touchdown, the Rams can't get the ball back.
6:02Giving Stafford the ball 45 seconds was insane. We saw so much bad clock management this week in this season.
6:08And it does feel like the coaching version of like this skill that is going extinct.
6:13I don't understand it. It's like armchair clock management stuff that you're sitting at home and it feels obvious.
6:18And you're watching these NFL head coaches not do things that you think are very clear.
6:23DK, do you think we're losing recipes here? Oh my God.
6:26Okay. I mean, I don't know if this is like a larger meaning for the rest of the league, but it was
6:33an incredibly frustrating end to the game. I did think, I will say on a positive note, there was times during the
6:39game where I was like, man, these defenses are just trading blows.
6:43Like it was a really fun defensive game from both teams.
6:46I thought both teams had some big plays. Obviously, that Hufanga 66 yard pick six late in the game was really exciting.
6:53Then he had the other pick that sealed the game.
6:56Broncos 130 to 26. I should have said that.
6:59Right. And I don't know. It was just the defenses were playing really hard and I thought the Broncos comeback was really impressive.
7:05They were like, it felt like they were kind of out of it.
7:09They were down 16 to nothing and it just felt like they had no juice whatsoever.
7:14And they came back and tied the game up.
7:17Then it turned into kind of a back and forth game.
7:20The end of the game was just a clusterfuck from, you know, in from so many different angles.
7:25I thought the fact that Knicks didn't get in on that touchdown that they called back to.
7:31I was like, dude, you have to get in there.
7:34That is so ridiculous. Well, this is my soapbox.
7:36Craig's soapbox is that appealing to the TV ref who doesn't agree with the NFL refs is insane.
7:42My soapbox is that if you need to look at the same angle of replay more than three times, it's neither clear nor obvious.
7:49If you need the NBC people to stitch together to the millisecond, two different angles.
7:53And then I'm staring at it. It looks like an optical illusion of it's his foot touching the white or not.
7:59I can't tell if it's six inches above or grazing it.
8:03And I'm like staring at it and they're like, yep.
8:06Over. He didn't make the end zone. I'm like, he clear.
8:09Nothing about this is obvious. Terry McCallis comes in.
8:12Terry's like, well, we have these two angles. Now that you're watching the simultaneous angles, but it's the same game speed.
8:18So now you can clearly see that Bo Nix's foot.
8:21I'm like, you can't clearly see anything. Maybe I'm just an idiot.
8:25You have no fucking idea if his foot is touching the ground right now.
8:29I'm glad you said, you guys couldn't tell either, right?
8:32Like I kind of had no idea if it was three inches above or not.
8:36Not for the angle that they showed. I think they kind of guessed a little.
8:41I think it should have been a touchdown. It was so close.
8:44It should have just been a touchdown in my opinion.
8:47When it's within a millisecond, it's like the old technology will not save you.
8:51You're always going to have to make a judgment call.
8:54Common sense is like, yeah, stick with the touchdown.
8:57We're talking about a quarter of an inch in a millisecond here.
9:01Anyway, so I am glad that the Broncos probably deserved to win on that play.
9:05The foul not being called was insane. But also the Rams kind of screwed themselves too.
9:10I mean, Stafford threw a boneheaded pick six. You guys aren't baseball people, but Stafford reminds me so much of Max Scherzer.
9:17They show that stat of Stafford is the most pick sixes ever, 33.
9:20And that really kind of is maybe the reason they lost this game.
9:24And Max Scherzer is like the king of the solo shot.
9:28Max Scherzer is just one of the best pitchers of all time, but would always give up these solo home runs because he's challenging people.
9:35And it's like a similar energy to what Stafford has.
9:38It was pretty cold blooded though. When Stafford came back and went right down the field and led the drive.
9:44It was a really cool Stafford game until he did the pick six.
9:48I also want to shout out the Vontae Adams, Pat Sertan, old school, incredible, old head receiver versus number one cornerback alpha dog match all night.
9:56That was incredible. It was incredible. And I want to point out, we can, I would love to transition this into a Jalen Waddle conversation.
10:03We can talk about more of the game at large.
10:06Cause I do agree with DK that I thought this was a chess match of a game.
10:11I thought there was like big plays and turnovers.
10:14And it was because both these teams are talented and there's like, you're figuring each other out in real time.
10:20And I thought it was like an actual, it was a great, like full chess match where sometimes the offense would win.
10:26And sometimes the defensive would win for both teams.
10:29And that was really entertaining. But the Sertan and Devontae Adams thing was great because sometimes you think like, Oh, when the
10:36best corner in the league is on your receiver, you consider benching them in fantasy.
10:40But Devontae is so good. And you trust Stafford and McVay and Devontae to make it work.
10:45And it is cool to see even when you're, I mean, Sertan basically shadowed him.
10:50I think it was like one catch Devontae had was when he was zoned coverage without Sertan on him, but it was basically.
10:57And went for like 60 yards. Yes. But the rest of it was like Devontae had like six catches for 80 yards on Sertan.
11:04And it was like a mano-a-mano thing. But it was nice to see sometimes when that happens, you're like, well, we're just
11:10going to like, he's going to be a decoyal game because we don't want to throw at Sertan.
11:16But because Sean McVay is like, well, he's the best receiver on our team.
11:20We're going to throw it to him. We'll make it work.
11:23You'd think that if you have a good player like Jalen Waddell, you could also try to do that.
11:29And yet the Broncos just aren't interested in that.
11:31He had two catches today for 24 total yards.
11:34And it's just different philosophy. He had two catches for 10 yards and a carry for 14 yards.
11:40And it's just different. He did a two point conversion, which doesn't count as a catch.
11:44Right. Okay. Sure. Right. Actually, it's five points, not three.
11:47But it's just, I actually think it's fascinating how some offensive game plans are like, no matter what, we will tailor it
11:54to get our best players the ball. And other game plans are like, we're going to take what the defense gives us.
12:00And if that means not our best players, it's not our best players.
12:04I find it interesting. Yeah. It's who versus how.
12:07Like the Rams are going to get the ball to Devante and Puka.
12:11It's just a matter of how. And then the Broncos are going to get the ball to the open person.
12:17It just depends on who. Exactly. And the Broncos won the game.
12:20So I'm not going to, I'm not like criticizing, you know, Sean Payton wins a lot of games, but it is fascinating.
12:27It was an interesting game. Davis Webb. I mean, the first three quarters, the Broncos were out of it.
12:33It was 16 to nothing. This felt like it was going to be a blowout.
12:37It felt like the Broncos. It looked like the Rams were going to win this game 31 or nothing.
12:43And then all of a sudden the Broncos go down, they score.
12:46I mean, the Broncos ended up getting this. I mean, the two point conversion to the road and make it 16 to 16.
12:53I feel like you never see that happen. No.
12:56Yeah. And then there were so many things. Bo Nix at one point, I think had three passes batted down in like
13:03a five minute span in the fourth quarter. It was like a big snip snap game.
13:07Like Wallace, that cornerback on the Rams ended up giving up a huge touchdown or a huge completion to Sutton before he had a pick.
13:15Like there was just so much going on and back and forth.
13:18But there was a weird discrepancy at the end of the third quarter where the clock ran out and then Stafford screaming
13:25and they're like, there's no time left. And Torrico's like, actually, they're putting a second back on.
13:30And then Torrico's like, never mind. We're going to commercial.
13:33He came back and said that if the play clock and the game clock both show the same number at any point
13:40at the end of the quarter, you can't get a delay of game.
13:43That's a rule. I didn't know that was Venn diagram between the two added to the list of things.
13:49I didn't know was a literal rule. Yeah. This game very well could have been the Super Bowl.
13:54Last year, Denver versus the Rams. Do you guys feel like these teams are Super Bowl contenders this year?
14:00Both of them right now, based on how they look.
14:03I do. Yeah. Super Bowl contender in the sense that they could make the Super Bowl and I wouldn't be surprised.
14:09Yeah. But I think the Rams look a lot better than the Broncos, even though they lost, which I don't know how to explain that.
14:17I mean, Tyler Higby was a huge part of this game.
14:20I feel like it's tied in for the Rams because Terrence Ferguson got hurt pretty early on.
14:25Is it weird? Is that weird and contrarian? It'd be like the Rams look better to me, even though the Broncos won?
14:32To me, that's always the story with the Broncos.
14:34The Broncos never looked that good and then they win the game.
14:38Yeah. Honestly, they're kind of like the lame Knicks.
14:41It's like Bo Nicks in a nutshell. Oh, Bo Nicks.
14:44It should be the Bo Nier Knicks. You never KS.
14:47Yeah. Yeah. They play three shitty quarters and then they win the goddamn game.
14:51That's so good. And then we're talking about how Bo Nicks stinks during the game and then, oh, wait, actually he won.
14:57Oh, they won. They scored 30 points and they won.
15:00Yeah. But it's like that was the entire year last year.
15:04Did you see your guy on SNL? Yeah, I did.
15:07It was rough. He, look. It was bad. Brunson?
15:09No. It was. It's not his specialty. I watch every SNL.
15:13I think it was like the worst SNL I've seen in half a decade.
15:17And it's not Brunson's fault, but it was tough.
15:20I was surprised. They had a long time to write him a lot of jokes.
15:24And I was, honestly, it is amazing to me.
15:27The biggest cheer of the whole night was just showing OG and Anobi.
15:31Yes. The most popular person in the history of New York City.
15:34And there was a sketch where Jalen was like shooting balls in like trash or like paper balls into a trash can
15:41and he like made the last one and everybody cheered.
15:44But it was, it made you appreciate like when Peyton Manning is on SNL.
15:48The best joke of the entire SNL was Jalen Brunson saying that this will be like my title run where the first
15:54three quarters of the episode is going to suck and then the ending will be great.
15:59But that is basically the Denver Broncos. I like that.
16:02Bo, New York Knicks. The only other thing I want to say from this, unless you guys have anything, is that Mike
16:09Tirico noting that the Rams owner, Stan Kroenke, owns so many sports teams that it's sometimes he has five teams playing on the same day.
16:16Not only that, 311 days a year he has a team playing a game that he owns.
16:21I, that one really took me a bath. 311 days a year?
16:25311 days a year? That's, that's crazy. Uh, yeah.
16:28The only other thing I'd like to shout out in this game, there was a couple of things.
16:33One, Kyron Williams continues to be great every year and he's incredibly dependable.
16:37Printing money. Super good in the passing game. And also.
16:40Oh, I think the game winning touchdown was supposed to go to him.
16:44Stafford was looking for, I think, for Kyron at the end there.
16:47Yeah, yeah. And then, man, you know, we, we, we joke about how some receiving groups are quite bad.
16:53Miami, you know, the poor Niners, guys are dropping like flies.
16:56Dude, the Rams? Like when you, if Devonta Adams like has a cramp, it's good.
17:01It's like Kanata Mumpfield. Mumpfield. Who had 93 yards in a touchdown today.
17:05Sounds like a Roald Dahl made up disease. Kanata Mumpfield.
17:08He's just stuck in a giant peach. Yes. And like, that is literally it.
17:12I mean, it is really, really crazy out there.
17:15And they're depending when Devonta is 50 yards down the sideline.
17:18I'm like, dude, do not pull a hamstring. Like you're all they have.
17:22Well, it's like the Rams. They, they're starting lineup for Sunday football was just 13 person.
17:26It was three tight end lineup was their starting personnel for the Sunday football.
17:31And then Terrence Ferguson went down immediately. It's like, man, it's, it's Davis Allen.
17:35It's Tyler Higbee. It's Kanata Mumpfield. And it's 33 year old Devonta Adams.
17:39It's remarkable. They look as good as they do.
17:41They really are stars and scrubs team. So yeah, Rams are one and two.
17:46Yeah, it's weird. Okay. I like the bow New York Knicks.
17:49Okay. When I get to winners and losers elsewhere.
17:52This was a crazy overall day. I believe they did.
17:55Did they do football? Did Tariqa throw out at the end there that this was the most one score games in a single day in NFL history?
18:03He said there was 11, I believe. That is crazy.
18:06Especially when you consider the idea that they all could cut one score games.
18:10Generally speaking, could all be coin flips. Like, it's kind of funny to think 11 results in one day kind of could have flipped.
18:17There is one place we have to start though, Craig.
18:20Yeah, we're going to travel down to Brazil because my loser of the day is the Dallas Cowboys who lost to the Ravens 34 to 31 in Rio.
18:28They lost on a game losing field goal as time expired by Tyler Loop.
18:32Nance had a great call. A trio in Rio, which was great.
18:36He just improvised that. Still got it. He wrote that days ago.
18:40Yeah. I promise. Knowing that they were going to kick field goal to win?
18:44I don't know. I think there'd be field. It happens in football sometimes.
18:48I'm sure you have some things prepped and he thinks about it.
18:51You know, these guys are pros. You got to have your time.
18:55You think when Jim Nance is doing the Masters winning thing, he's just thinking of that in the moment?
19:01I think he just improvised. I do think some of the greats just have it.
19:05It just comes to you. Yeah. And maybe now he's so grizzled.
19:09Maybe he's like, it'll be fine. I'll figure it out on air.
19:12There's no chance. He just thought of trio in Rio.
19:15Maybe he did. It's not that hard. Come on.
19:18Trio in Rio rhyme. Come on. It's not like fucking Shakespeare over here.
19:22I don't know. I don't know. But yeah, I mean, look, this was a really entertaining game.
19:27This was a great game. Dallas was up early and then Baltimore came back and then Baltimore was up and then Dallas
19:33came back and then Nance and Watt on the broadcast were talking about how all the Ravens do is blow games and
19:40how this was going to happen again. Chargers East.
19:43Chargers East. And then Dallas, similar to Sean Payton.
19:45And it's like, I don't know what these coaches are fucking doing with the way that they manage the clock.
19:51Dallas was, it was, the game was, they were down three, correct?
19:55Now I'm getting myself confused. They were down three and they, it was second and goal from the eight yard line with 20 seconds left in the game.
20:03The Cowboys have the ball. They're down three. Dak runs the ball for three yards.
20:08They call a timeout. So now they're, it's third and goal from the five and there's 14 seconds left.
20:13And so they decide to throw the ball away over George Pickens head in the end zone.
20:18Now making it fourth down with, with 10 seconds left and they kick a field goal to tie the game.
20:24And now the Ravens get the ball back with seven seconds to go.
20:28And then Dallas decides to kick the ball through the, the kickoff through the end zone so that Baltimore just gets the
20:35ball without having to return the kick and burn time.
20:38They throw a deep shot to Zay Flowers, get the ball down, spike it, kick a field goal, lose the game.
20:44Like if they would, if they had forced them to just return the kick, the game probably would There's like 10 things
20:51you could say that like would have won Dallas the game because it's like, if your plan was to just throw the
20:57ball away over Pickens, why call the timeout? Why not wait until two seconds left and just kick the field goal?
21:04Like, cause Pickens was open by the way. That's the worst part is Dak said after the game that the coverage they
21:10play 99% of the time George Pickens is covered.
21:13The problem was on this 1% of the time, George Pickens was super open and Dak was an autopilot.
21:18The call was to throw it away. I think the call was to throw it away unless Pickens was open.
21:24Schottenheimer kind of said, he's like, I overcoached him.
21:27He's like, I overcoached him in the moment. Basically saying, look, if you're not a hundred percent certain, just chuck the ball out of bounds, which I think.
21:35Schottenheimer's taking the blame. Right. Because they were like, yeah, if it's not open, throw it away real quick.
21:41And I think Dak overindexed on that. There was 14 seconds left.
21:45And then like, I mean, it was amazing to see what Kirk Cousins did today from like getting what he was, how
21:51far he went down the field in like 12 seconds.
21:54And it reminds me of that 19 seconds when the Cowboys couldn't get the ball spiked in 19 seconds.
22:00And Dak had 14 seconds to work with. You can't take a sack.
22:04The game, you can't take a sack. So it's like you only have so long, but if you just fire that ball to Pickens, game's over, touchdown.
22:12Totally. Or again, kick the ball, make the Ravens guy return the ball and run.
22:16Well, that's the worst of all. Three or four seconds off the clock, game's over.
22:21They were in that situation because they had a false start at first and goal at the one, just like they're just
22:27at the two, like the Ravens did. But the kickoff return and again, so the Cowboys end up tying the game and
22:34they kick the Ravens the ball back with, I think was seven seconds.
22:38Yeah. I think that's the worst coaching decision of the entire year.
22:41And it will stay that way. And there are dumber things.
22:45Did you watch it? He fucking bombed it. It like went into the stands.
22:49They were like, Aubrey, fucking let loose. Have at it.
22:52I think that's the worst coaching decision of the year because you're basically deciding, because again, DK, as you always say, analytics,
22:58whatever, the entire endpoint goal of analytics is just, can you calculate what the other team doesn't want you to do?
23:05If you could take the entire temperature of like their deepest fears, what do they want you to do?
23:10All the Ravens wanted in that situation was a touchback because if you don't get a touchback, it's the only thing they need.
23:17You have to return the kick for a touchdown.
23:20There's like no other option. The odds they return it for a touchdown are like minuscule.
23:25The odds that they complete. The odds that they returned it for a touchdown are much less than completing a 25 yard
23:31pass and then getting to kick a field goal.
23:34Exactly. And that's the thing is the Ravens, it's wrong on every count.
23:38The touchback goes to the 35. The kickoff returns probably not going to get to the 35.
23:43So it's goes further and it doesn't cost you any time.
23:46So the Ravens, Jesse Minter, the coach of the Ravens said this after the game.
23:51If you give us the touchback, we only have to go 15 yards to kick a field goal.
23:56And the, you know who understands this better than anyone?
23:59Dallas, who has Brandon Aubrey, who's made a kick from the 50.
24:03So it's like doing that. You were like, it's, it, you just coach brain.
24:07There was so much coach brain today where you're like, well, the kickoff and like, what if they return and they have some weird kickoff?
24:14You know what the problem is? The Cowboys were bleeding players in the secondary.
24:18All their defensive backs in Dallas were hurt. And what did they do?
24:22They ended up having a miscommunication and they got the, the, the ball debatement and they got the timeout the second left.
24:29But literally if they just squib kicked, anyone in Madden would have understood immediately.
24:33Just do the kickoff. Don't let the offense come on the fucking field.
24:37I don't know how Brian Schottenheimer has been in the NFL his entire life since he was a child basically.
24:43And didn't understand in that situation. It's just, it's mind blowing.
24:46It's the first game in the Superbowl era where both teams kicked the field goal in the last 10 seconds of the fourth quarter.
24:53How about the Solek stat? Ben Solek had this.
24:56The Ravens game winning drive with seven seconds of the clock is the shortest game winning drive of all time.
25:02In the entire ESPN database, which goes to 1978.
25:05It's the shortest game winning drive ever. I'm not sure it could be shorter.
25:09Maybe six seconds. Like, I don't know what else you, if you could really get away with.
25:14That's about as fast as you could ever go.
25:17Maybe in theory, but at some point you can only go 30 yards so fast.
25:21Yes, this is if you think the Cowboys have had some of the worst losing games I've seen.
25:27I know the Ravens do this all the time.
25:29They lose games. But the 19 not able to take a spike in 19 seconds the same weekend.
25:35The Chiefs got the 13 seconds and beat the Bills like they had that again.
25:39The season any verse the Niners and Zeke Elliott was lined up at fucking center.
25:44I don't know. Schottenheimer's done a good job with Dallas, but Christian Parker, the defensive coordinator for Dallas.
25:49I don't know this. This one took a village because there were so many problems with this Dallas sequence.
25:55Again, players to Javante fumbled on fourth and one Jake Ferguson fumbled a shovel pass.
25:59There was a holding that negated a big George Pickens play that led to a Brandon Aubrey field goal.
26:05But that was then blocked. That's football. That happens in every game.
26:08You can decide whether you kick the kickoff inbounds or out of bounds that you have control over that.
26:14You can't control whether players fumble or not. The problem is not.
26:18The problem to me is that my brother and I, I feel like we knew this at eight years old.
26:24I'm not being mean. It's just true. There are plenty of eight-year-olds who know to just end the game here on the kickoff.
26:30The odds of the kickoff return are so much smaller than a 20-year completion.
26:35I don't understand how it happened. Can I ask a quick question?
26:38Okay. In the moment, it felt a little generous that they did give him that extra second.
26:43Did you guys feel that way? No. No. Yes, with the TV broadcast.
26:47When I saw Zay, was it Zay or Rashad Bateman?
26:50I forget. It was Bateman. Bateman. When Bateman went down, when he caught it and kind of like knee to the ground, there was like two seconds.
26:58And it went down to one. Oh, so I was like...
27:01It was Zayfla. I was wrong with Zayfla. Yeah, there was enough time.
27:05He went down and it was like two to one.
27:08I thought it was fair. It felt that way, DK, because there was this dramatic flare of the field goal line popping up as he hit the ground.
27:17That was crazy. And like... He was like right on it.
27:20You'd be like, oh, they didn't get it. But I'm like, you can't hear Lamar, Jesse, everyone's screaming for a timeout.
27:26You know what I mean? No, I know, I know.
27:29I'm just kind of shit-starring a little. But the line did just pop up.
27:33In basketball, if it's a close game and the opposing team is shooting free throws, if you're on the rebounding, like if
27:40you're on defense, you can tell the ref, hey, ref, on a miss, we're calling a timeout as soon as we get the rebound.
27:47And the ref's like, got it. And so you almost don't even have to do it.
27:52They're like, no. It's almost weird that you can't do the same in football where it's like, hey, ref, the second we
27:59catch the ball in our house, it will be a timeout.
28:02But the coaches do that all the time. It's the same.
28:05I don't know the basketball was 100%. No, no, look.
28:08Look when Lamar put the tee up. And it's like, yeah, but isn't it...
28:12Shouldn't it just be automatic? But to my understanding, when you're talking about basketball, is they're telling the ref so that when
28:19that happens, the ref looks at them. But you still have to call the timeout.
28:23It's not like some automatic thing. Yeah, no, sure.
28:26But like the ref is staring right at you.
28:29They do that in football at a time. Like when they do the clock down, the coaches, like let's say they're like
28:35bleeding the clock down to kick a field goal two seconds.
28:39They're telling the referee at the beginning, I'm going to call timeout with two seconds left.
28:43Yeah. And then they do it at two. Like they're telling referees that.
28:47But it's just funny that like, can't you just say timeout, timeout, timeout for six seconds?
28:52And so you're always saying it? Like, why do they have to check to me?
28:56Like, can't you just be doing this the whole play?
28:59Yeah. You know what I mean? It's kind of dumb.
29:02I just think it's funny because like how many times during games have you seen a coach like sprinting down the sideline trying to find a fucking ref?
29:11I know. Like it's quite literally when they say he was awarded a timeout.
29:15It should be a Jeopardy button that you can press.
29:18And then like, yeah. They were like really on top of that to get the timeout.
29:23The ref has to be like, where's a coach?
29:25We have to see the coach. It's so stupid.
29:28Bruce Arians always. Yeah, it's so true. Like some of these guys are walking around with like these things, like they got
29:35the World War II, like the D-Day like radios with them.
29:38And it's like, you'd think they could have the Jeopardy button.
29:41Yeah. I mean, this is a sport where if you want to challenge the replay where there's 40 state of the art
29:48cameras going to 100 million people, you have to throw a red sock.
29:52A beanbag, really? So anyway, yeah, the Cowboys, that was brutal.
29:55But I do want to I want to let you guys have anything else in that game.
30:00No, great game. I want to go positive. And I want to I want to say my winner of the week is the Las Vegas Raiders.
30:08The Raiders. Sorry. The 3-0 undefeated Las Vegas Raiders.
30:10Raiders. I was a bad Berman. Raiders beat the Saints 35 to 27.
30:14Raiders are 3-0, which is how many games the Raiders won all of last season.
30:19They've already won that many this season. And the only undefeated teams in the AFC are the Bills, the Chiefs and the Raiders.
30:26And I want to just say, as I was talking to Austin Gale earlier today, Tom Brady fixed the Raiders by hiring Clint Kubiak.
30:33He nailed this pick as head coach. And the Raiders look awesome.
30:36They look like a professional football team, which I haven't felt that way about the Raiders in a very long time.
30:43Been a minute. Kirk Cousins is playing professional quarterback and they're calling professional offensive calls and they have good players and they're smart and they're making right decisions.
30:51And they look like a competent football team. It's awesome.
30:54I think when the Raiders are good, the NFL is better.
30:57A hundred percent, Craig. And it's been so long since they were good.
31:01Yeah. The Raiders are awesome, dude. They're such a fun franchise.
31:05Yeah. I mean, I know I'm biased, but isn't basketball a little more fun that the Knicks are good?
31:10No. No. Well, fuck you guys. I had a great time.
31:13What are you talking about? No, I'm kidding. Yes, I totally agree.
31:17I usually tend to like when famous big market teams are good.
31:21The Raiders are just like, there's so many Raiders fans.
31:24And Kirk Cousins is the only quarterback this season of three passing touchdowns in each game.
31:28Dude, Cousins has nine touchdowns. He's first in the NFL in touchdown passes.
31:32He was born to play in the system. Like this whole McVay-Shanahan thing.
31:36Also, the wrong franchise Mendoza started. Like this is working.
31:39This experiment of like, we're going to bring in the established veteran to coach up the rookie.
31:44This is like going swimmingly. And because if the Raiders were 0-3 right now, it'd be like, when's Mendoza coming?
31:50And now he's going to, he might not have to play all year.
31:54Yeah. And you have Brock Bowers, the football robot from heaven is back.
31:58He's an absolute monster. Bowers looked amazing today. 10 catches, 116 yards and a touchdown.
32:0212 of Kirk Cousins' first 25 passes were for Brock Bowers.
32:0612 of his first 25, which is ridiculous. Solak had also this great stat.
32:10Brock Bowers has as many games. We should call this something.
32:13A deco, whatever. A 110-100, which is one touchdown, 10 catches, 100 yards, which we need to name.
32:19And Bowers has as many of those games. One touchdown, 10 catches, 100 yards over the last three years as every other
32:25tight end in the NFL combined in that span, even though Bowers was hurt for a lot of the period.
32:31Like he's unbelievable. And every big play was for him.
32:34And everything he did was such a high degree of difficulty.
32:37He's always effortlessly open. And the defense is a little weird, but they at least make massive plays when they need to.
32:44Yeah. The Raiders are like a havoc team on defense.
32:47They have their top 10 in pressures. They're, I think, fourth in sacks through three games.
32:52I do think it is worth noting. And sorry, Austin.
32:55They did beat the Dolphins and Chargers in weeks one and two.
32:58This seems like the most legit win that they've had.
33:01The Chargers are an absolute mess. And then the Dolphins are quite literally tanking.
33:05But overall, you have to feel great about what Kubiak has brought, the energy this team has.
33:11I mean, this was like legit the worst team in the NFL last year.
33:15Now they look really competent, as you guys noted.
33:17Bowers, bringing Bowers back and having him healthy, just a game changer for them.
33:22Like the way that they can kind of move him around the formation, you know, line him up out wide.
33:28He's basically, you know, like their number one receiver.
33:30Heifetz, you talked about this all offseason. He's not really a tight end.
33:34He's like their number one receiver. He's Travis Kelsey, basically.
33:37He's not exactly Kelsey's size. But I mean, he's a receiver at tight end.
33:41The thing I love about Kubiak, and this is something I talked about last year, the year before, is I just really like that.
33:48This is, again, part of the reason why I fucking am just so annoyed with the Broncos.
33:53Kubiak knows how to use his good players. Like, I've got this really, really fucking talented guy.
33:59I'm going to make him the focal point of the offense.
34:02Sure. It's a crazy idea. It just might work.
34:05You know why? You know why? I think the simplest answer is that Sean Payton's been coaching in the NFL more or
34:11less as long as Clint Kubiak's been alive. Like, Sean Payton's been a football coach for Clint Kubiak's entire life, like 40 years.
34:18And the Sean Payton thing, it's like trying to tell your parents to do anything.
34:22Like, you ever try to tell your dad to do something?
34:26Never. You're like, tell Sean Payton. Give it to your players.
34:29It's long enough. Yeah. It's just hard. Yeah, the Raiders.
34:32And again, this is a weird stat and probably dumb.
34:35I don't care. I just was like, whoa, Optus Sports said this.
34:39The only other team to ever get the number one pick and hire a new head coach in the same year and
34:45then start 3-0 was the Green Bay Packers with Vince Lombardi.
34:48Wow. Which caught my eye. But yeah, the Raiders.
34:51They named a trophy after that guy, didn't they?
34:54Did they? Tremendous looking trophy. Yeah. The Raiders played the Chiefs next week.
34:58We're also 3-0, which is really fun. Yeah. It's the biggest Raiders game in a minute.
35:02So shout out to the Raiders. Tika, who's your winner?
35:05Sure. I got to shout out the Jacksonville Jags for being big-time winners this week.
35:10Just demolished the Patriots. Like, it was an embarrassing game for the Patriots.
35:14The Jags now, through Cohen's first 20 regular season games, are 15-5.
35:17Incredible start for Cohen. I think he has been an absolute game-changer for that franchise.
35:22Obviously, this franchise has had some really rough goes with coaches, players, all that stuff going back years.
35:27Like, they were the embarrassment of the NFL at times.
35:30And they look to me like an absolute buzzsaw.
35:33Since the start of last year, the two players with the most total touchdowns are Josh Allen and Matt Stafford.
35:39Trevor Lawrence is directly behind them with 45 total touchdowns since the start of last season.
35:44Sorry, did I say Trevor Lawrence? Trevor Lawrence is.
35:46I think Lawrence's turnaround under Cohen has been really incredible.
35:49The way that he's transformed this offense. They just feel to me like...
35:53It's kind of like what we were talking about with the Raiders.
35:57This is a professional team now. They are very competent.
36:00And I trust them to be in the right place and do the right things.
36:04For the first time, it feels like forever. Except for Trevor Lawrence taking a knee at the one-yard line.
36:10That was like... I don't know if I've ever seen someone pull up and say, I'm not going to score when there's eight minutes.
36:17There's eight minutes left in the game. That's a guy who's not used to winning.
36:22I got to tell you. I don't know what to do.
36:25Did he think it was like a three? Did he not catch the other parts of the letter?
36:30Like, eight minutes left in the game. He's pulling up on the one.
36:34An intrusive thought I had during this game was as impressive as the Jaguars are.
36:39Trevor Lawrence thinking that he needed to not score there.
36:42I kind of think he'll never win a Super Bowl.
36:45Oh, that really? Okay. I couldn't... There's something about it where there are a handful of scenarios, but there are scenarios, plenty
36:51of them, where you would not score a touchdown and take a knee at the one.
36:56And fucking zero of them are with more than four minutes left in the game.
37:00And there were eight. And he's a quarterback who's in his sixth year, and I think it was weird that he didn't
37:07know how much time was in the game, and he admitted that afterward.
37:11However, I don't want to win his brain. It was weird, though, that he's like, oh, there's eight minutes left.
37:17I'm like, you're the quarterback. What do you mean there's eight minutes left?
37:21Of course, there's eight minutes left. Let him live.
37:23He's kind of a... Didn't we call him a blockhead last year, Trevor Lawrence?
37:28It's just a weird thing to not know. But they played great.
37:31They looked great. Parker Washington, amazing touchdown today. Every week now, Parker Washington does like two or three incredible things.
37:37They're running the ball better. Tootin, I actually think, looks kind of good.
37:41I was a little unimpressed with Tootin. I think he's getting better.
37:45Oh, I think Tootin's looked really good. Yeah, Tootin looked good.
37:48They're doing all this with Brian Thomas Jr. doing basically nothing.
37:51Travis Hunter had a pick. They're playing him more at corner, which I think is the correct move.
37:57And that paid off today. Did you guys see the weird thing with Josh Allen, Josh Hines Allen, the ball after the Travis Hunter pick?
38:04What happened there? Yeah, he wanted the ball that Travis Hunter caught, and then the ball guy from the NFL wouldn't give
38:11it to him, and then they had a weird thing.
38:14This man assaulted me. He's like, this man pushed me.
38:17You can't touch me. This man accosted me. Which, like, maybe that's the rule.
38:21You're, like, not allowed to go up. I'm sure that is the rule.
38:25Like, the official NFL ball holder guy, you can't, like, fuck with him.
38:28But it was a really funny interaction. He's like, don't touch it.
38:32You touched me. You can't do that. He's like, I just want the ball.
38:36He's like, no. It was in Jacksonville, too. Very weird.
38:39He's like, I just want to give the ball to my friend.
38:43He key intercepts me. He's like, you can't get away from me.
38:46This is on camera. Oh, my God. He, like, kind of Karen'd him.
38:50He, like, pulled out his phone. It was very Karen.
38:53You're being recorded right now. I'll sue you. He's on the cell phone calling the cops.
38:58He hit me. He wants the ball. You always kind of wondered who does call the numbers on the billboards for the personal injury lawyers.
39:05You know what I mean? Oh, I think a lot of people call those.
39:10Probably. All right. Well, you get on the phone.
39:12I always wondered, like, when are you actually getting Jacob himself on the phone?
39:17Like, I think he has, like, a team of, like, 500 lawyers or I don't know how many that are actually handling all these cases.
39:24Like, when does it rise to the top where Jacob's taking the case?
39:28Is it Jacob? Because I always think there's top dog law.
39:31Call Jacob is the one I'm thinking about. There's Tiger Lawyer.
39:34There's, what are they? Like, there's so many. Oh, in L.A., it's called Jacob, I feel like, is a big one.
39:41A Law Tigers. That's who I was thinking of.
39:43They're motorcycle lawyers. There's a Law Tigers. Isn't there a Jacoby and Myers law firm?
39:48Yeah. Yes. In Los Angeles. It's, like, so random.
39:51Email us about the random law firms. I'm sure someone here is thinking about these random injury lawyers.
39:56Greg, that's a law firm. The Ringer Fantasy Football Show is brought to you by FanDuel.

40:17Monday Night Football this week. Eagles are at the Bears.
40:20Bears, I don't care if it's Tyson Bajan or if it's Case Keenum.
40:24I don't think either are going to fare very well against the Eagles.
40:28I know the Eagles don't usually beat teams by more than three and a half points.
40:33Making an exception, I think the Eagles are going to beat the Bears by more than three and a half points.
40:39I'm taking the Eagles. Sorry, Chicago, but I don't think the Pope can handle Case Keenum coming out of retirement for the last three years and hasn't played.
40:47So, taking the Eagles. Every week, check the FanDuel app to see what's waiting for you.

41:05This episode is brought to you by Carhartt. We spend a lot of time talking about what happens on the field, but
41:11what about everything that has to happen before anyone can play on it?
41:15The grass has to be grown. The stadium has to be built.
41:19The goalposts have to be welded. That's the work of tradespeople committed to getting every detail right.
41:24And Carhartt is proud to outfit those people, the crews making football possible.
41:28So, this season, when you're watching the game, take a second to think about the people behind it.
41:33Learn more at carhartt.com slash join the trades. We have to, while we're on Jaguars Patriots though, we have to get to the real loser of the day.
41:41The real loser of the day is Drake May.
41:44It's getting worrisome. I have to tell you, Craig, a couple weeks ago, you said that your intrusive thought was that Drake
41:51May looked like Carson Wentz and might just be Carson Wentz.
41:54Yeah. And that has gone from intrusive thought for me to something I just couldn't.
41:58Kind of worry about now. Once or twice a year, I get my hands on one player and I'm like, I just start to feel something.
42:06It was Bruce Hall two or three years ago.
42:09There's just, there's just something about Drake May that doesn't look right.
42:12And I don't, I don't, I don't think he's hurt.
42:15And I actually genuinely feel like he has the yips, like really deeply has the yips.
42:20Mentally, I think something is wrong and it's, it's metastasizing every week and it's getting worse and maybe he'll get through it,
42:27but he looks completely lost out there. They have zero flow.
42:30So the Jaguars beat the Patriots 35 to six.
42:33If we did not say that's 35 to six, the Patriot again, literally every single game in the NFL today was competitive in the fourth quarter.
42:40Even Chiefs dolphins was close at some point in the fourth quarter, except Patriots Jaguars, which was over so quickly.
42:46Read some of the Pat stats out there. There's some crazy stuff.
42:50All right. So the basics here, Drake May, two picks, two fumbles under 200 yards.
42:54Drake May leads the NFL in interceptions through three weeks.
42:57He already has six interceptions this season. Drake May had eight all over the last regular season.
43:03You know, they have Mike and when he was hurt.
43:06Then the Greg Van Root and replaced him as hurt too.
43:09Mike Vrabel self is saying my concern level for this team is very high.
43:13That's a quote from Mike Vrabel. But then there are stats that are even fucking worse, which is this.
43:19These that's just like the moose boosh. Drake May or this one's from Doug Clawson.
43:23The Patriots offense has scored 29 points and 30 drives this season, which is the fewest points per drive by any team
43:30through three games since the first three starts of Zach Wilson's career with the Jets in 2021.
43:35So the Patriots are where you want to be.
43:37Zach Wilson, rookie year 2021 points per drive pace.
43:40The other one that blew my mind was another one from Doug Clawson, who said that Drake May has nine fumbles and
43:4710 interceptions since the beginning of the playoffs. And Drake May is the first player with nine fumbles and 10 picks in
43:53a seven game span since Jameis Winston in 2019, which was the 30 for 30, 30 touchdown, 30 interception season.
43:59Oh my God. So in two weeks, we've gone from Craig saying Drake May is kind of like Carson Wentz sometimes to
44:06Drake May actually dragging the Patriots down to somewhere between rookie Zach Wilson and Jameis Winston, 30 touchdown, 30 pick season.
44:12I mean, Carson Wentz at least tore his ACL, you know, and he came back and had eight touchdowns in one pick in his first four games back.
44:20Drake May might be hurt. I will say this.
44:23Doug Kide, our guy, Doug Kide, did point out that Drake May might just be hurt.
44:28Like he might've just injured his shoulder in that Broncos AFC championship game.
44:32And he just kind of hasn't been the same.
44:35He's been hurt. You're saying, oh, okay. Like not, he's not hurt this year.
44:39You're saying it's the same injury from last year.
44:41Basically, he's still recovering and maybe something's wrong. Why is he not on the injury report then?
44:46Because they fucking lie. Interesting. Also, when's a shoulder healthy?
44:49From a certain, like when's a shoulder healthy? I don't know.
44:53Like, I don't know. And that's the thing. Is it mental?
44:56Is it physical? I don't know. But he, I mean, again, the plays Drake made today, zero, zero.
45:01There's a phantom fumble. The ball flies out of his hand.
45:05Dude, that play, Craig was talking about getting the ick.
45:08That's the type of play that will change your opinion on a man.
45:12There was blood on the ball for the record, which is just bizarre.
45:15It's funny because, so it was Jared Wilson in the center, apparently had blood on the ball.
45:20But it's funny to say that there's literally blood on Drake May's hands.
45:24There's literally blood on his hands. That's the excuse.
45:27By the way, did you see the college coach?
45:30Who was it? Yeah. The Minnesota coach? Did you see that?
45:33Did you see that? Blood on his face? No.
45:36The head coach of the Minnesota football team, they won.
45:39And he was like celebrating with his player. And the guy had blood on his mouth.
45:43And the coach grabbed the blood, wiped the blood off of his player's face and put it on his own face.
45:50Like a warrior. Yeah. PJ Fleck, he's fucking crazy.
45:52So fucking insane. That's the craziest shit I've ever seen.
45:55Honestly, I half expect Scadabo to do that before this season ends.
45:59Oh my God. And then he punched through the guy's chest, grabbed his heart, pulled it out, beating still in his hands.
46:06Kalima! He was like, God damn it. Dipped him into a pit of fire in a metal cage.
46:11And then he put it in a doggy bag, wrapped it up, and gave it back to the guy.
46:17So I'm in three leagues. That's from Dumb and Dumber.
46:20I'm in three fantasy leagues. I'm in a high school league.
46:23I'm in a college league. I'm in my beloved Ringer League with you two and Bill Simmons and the gang.
46:29In all those leagues, in all three leagues, I have either Drake May or Justin Herbert.
46:34I put all my marbles on those two guys.
46:36And I have to say, for all of those people out there who are in the same situation as me, who have
46:43Drake May, who took him early, he's putting money on him, even Justin Herbert.
46:47I don't know. What do you do? What do I do?
46:50It's funny you ask. Do I just start Jacoby Brissett?
46:53Am I picking up Daniel Jones off waivers? I was like, I will lose every single...
46:58You can't win when your quarterback scores four points a game, which is what Drake May is doing.
47:03Drake May is the second to last scoring quarterback in fantasy, only above Jameis Winston.
47:08Jameis Winston, bless his heart, is averaging four fantasy points a game.
47:12Drake May is above him at seven. Seven points a game is what Drake May is doing through three weeks.
47:18You can't win like that. There's nothing I can do.
47:21I could start fucking Rashad Bateman instead of him.
47:23Should I just do that? Do tell me. What do I do?
47:27I'm in a league with Jackie's family now. None of them have really played fantasy at all, except Jackie and her dad.
47:33And Jackie's mom last week cut Drake May. Just straight up cut him.
47:37So I added Drake May and I played him.
47:40Yeah. And then now I'm going to lose to her.
47:43I think you have four points today. Yeah. And I'm like, do I just cut Drake May too?
47:48You're not cutting him, but I don't know if you're starting him.
47:52But should we? You shouldn't cut him. But here's the thing.
47:55Should we? Why? Why do we keep ourselves in this prison of, well, you can't.
48:00We can do whatever the fuck we want. Should we just cut him, Craig?
48:04No, because the only thing worse than having Drake May on your bench or starting Drake May and losing with him is cutting him.
48:11And then he goes back to MVP form. And you're like, wow, I got the worst.
48:16I don't think the MVP form is coming back.
48:18I'll be totally honest. I think the schedule thing, I think it's a mix of a bunch of things.
48:24The schedule is way harder. Obviously, they played, the Patriots played a bunch of bad defenses and like, you know, you know, backup quarterbacks.
48:31And they just kind of rode the way, got the Super Bowl and they were well coached.
48:36But Drake May, for whatever it is, you know.
48:39Bill's been talking about Josh McDaniels and whatever you want to call it, arrogance, whatever with the offense and the way it's being designed.
48:46But I mean, again, even if you say fine, blood on the ball for the phantom fumble.
48:51I mean, he missed Pop Douglas for a wide open touchdown.
48:55They're at the goal line. Drake May rolls out and throws like one of the worst interceptions I've seen from him.
49:01Very Carson Wentz interception where he just throws it right to Travis Hunter in the goal line.
49:06It should be 14-10 touchdown. The guy wasn't even open.
49:09Like, I don't know what he's doing. But again, he's like Drake May is thinking too much and he's seeing too little.
49:15It's like he has no confidence. He has no rhythms.
49:18Feet are a mess. He just doesn't seem to.
49:21He's always pressing at the wrong times. He doesn't see open receivers.
49:25And then it's 21-3. Similarly, completely clean pocket. And he just good form, like just steps up, throws and just throws interception.
49:31Like he's going to Kyle Williams. It's like, where are you even going?
49:35This guy's completely covered. It's like he has no idea what's happening in front of him.
49:40DK, I want to ask you, because you're a level-headed person.
49:43You're a calm, rational individual. So the Patriots have played in Seattle.
49:47Then they play the Steelers. And then they play the Jags.
49:50Three good teams. Yeah. I would say Seattle and Pittsburgh are great defenses.
49:54Jacksonville, I don't know. Maybe not an average defense.
49:57But now, we talk about Drake May's schedule merchant last year.
50:00The next six games, seven games, here's the Patriots schedule.
50:03They're playing Buffalo, the Raiders, the Jets, the Bears, the Dolphins, the Packers, and then the Lions.
50:08That is an easy schedule in terms of pass defense.
50:11Points scored, all that stuff. Are we at the point?
50:14When the Bills, I mean, unless you're like Justin Herbert, you know, you should be able to score against the Bills.
50:20So I'm asking you, like, do you think it's over where, like, yeah, you're starting Jacoby Brissett.
50:25You're starting Daniel Jones. Like, you are starting the league average quarterback above Drake May now.
50:30I think, yeah, I don't know, man. Because I had him as a buy low coming into this week.
50:36And obviously, that looks like a terrible call. He could buy lower now.
50:40I want to say that I think he will not look like this all year.
50:44I'm starting to worry that calling him a buy low was a mistake for sure.
50:49Let me ask you this right now, straight up.
50:51Geno Smith for Drake May in fantasy. Do you do it?
50:55The next two weeks, I would play Geno Smith over Drake May for the next two weeks looking at the Jets schedule.
51:01Man. Drake May's broken. Like, he's broken. I'm sorry.
51:04Honestly, you could convince me that Sam Darnold exercised the seeing ghosts thing and how Drake May's seeing ghosts.
51:09DK, would you start Deshaun Watson or Drake May next week?
51:13This is where we are. The fact you had asked the question.
51:16Horrific. Speaks volumes. Deshaun Watson is averaging 18 points a game.
51:20Drake May's averaging 7. So much shit changes weekly in the NFL and wildly swings in one direction or the other.
51:26I do kind of feel like we're probably overreacting to this.
51:29But the whole thing, because Craig was talking about, you know, he just sees something.
51:34He gets like the ick about it. I saw this rant.
51:37There's like an account I follow on Instagram that's just like people who, why'd you get the ick about someone?
51:43And one of them was, I saw him stomp at a pigeon and the pigeon didn't flinch.
51:48And I was just like, for some reason, like Drake May throwing that bloody ball and it just flopping out of his
51:55hand to me was like that version of a nick where I'm like, God, I don't know if I can move past this moment now.
52:02Like, why did I call this guy a bi-lo?
52:05Drake May was like three months away from winning the MVP.
52:08I know, dude. That was like in 2026. That was this year.
52:12Several months ago. Things change. I think he'll be okay.
52:15I think he'll, I think he will bounce back.
52:17I don't, thank God he didn't win the MVP.
52:20Very strong. Because this would have, this is like unprecedented, right?
52:23Don't envy. Like, has an MVP ever done something like this right after the year after?
52:28I mean, when should be the example. Exceedingly rare.
52:31When was also going to win the, but he was going to.
52:34He was, he was, he was being talked about as an MVP candidate, like midway through the year.
52:40He didn't finish second. He didn't finish second in voting.
52:43I, yeah, I DK. Or maybe he did. I don't, I don't retract the Drake May.
52:47I, uh. Well, when Scott hurt. By low. He missed too many games.
52:51So that he like started to drop down. But I think it would have been like first or second.
52:57Craig. I just want to, I just want to keep track of the idea that every week we have these talks and
53:04then the next week something completely opposite happens. And it happens all the fucking time.
53:08And I just think he'll be fine ultimately. But it's.
53:11He's a young player. I think his mechanics are kind of fucked up right now.
53:15Craig, you mentioned it. He just looks like he has the yips.
53:19The way he throws is very elongated and weird.
53:22It's like he's regressing in mechanics too. So I think, but they have a lot of work to do.
53:27But I do think he's a talented enough player.
53:30He'll get right. He hasn't played well in a really long time.
53:34Yeah. But like, I'm just, I would say, I don't know if he's really played well since week 17 of last season.
53:40It's concerning. Yeah. My other winner, and I'm going to pair this with a we're so back, is, is, is the, it's
53:47the, they are the we're so back. It's so over team of the decade.
53:51And it's the Pittsburgh Steelers. And this week they are so back.
53:55I love, I love just watching Craig go on the rollercoaster ride all season.
53:59It's fucking hell. It's my favorite thing in the world.
54:02But it's great. It's great. Craig, literally last week, I want to state for the record, it's so over for Aaron Rodgers.
54:08This is like seven days ago. You could go back to last year.
54:12It was the same thing. Flip flop, snip snap.
54:15Every other week I was like, I'm sick of this Rodgers bullshit.
54:18It's over. And then I'm like, he looks great.
54:21Steelers are going to the Super Bowl. Yeah. We picked the Bengals in Ringer 107.
54:26The Steelers beat the Bengals 30 to 27 today.
54:28Aaron Rodgers had 300 yards, three touchdowns. He had, he had a pick that totally wasn't his fault.
54:34The offensive line looked great. Rodgers had tons of time in the pocket.
54:38They could run the ball. Jalen Warren looked electric.
54:40He looked like Kenneth Gainwell 2.0. They're making big plays.
54:43Even though DK Metcalf tried to ruin the game once again, they still managed to win.
54:48It was awesome. They're making plays on defense. They, they, they, the muffed punt, Ben Skoranek came flying in like a bat
54:55out of hell to recover the muffed punt. Derek Harmon, sack fumble, Joe Burrow to end the game.
55:00The Steelers are great. Rodgers are throwing deep. 85 completions, 20 yards tied for the most he's ever done with the Steelers.
55:07This new rookie right tackle looked good. They switched things up on the line.
55:11Everything was cooking. They brought, they could have put up more points.
55:14There's a lot of stuff left on the table.
55:17And yet they're playing the Browns on Thursday and they're going to lose.
55:21Can't wait for that. This was a real, like things don't ever change game.
55:25The Bengals defense was just totally back to earth.
55:28Just somehow just completely helpless before Aaron Rodgers. And then the Steelers also just have decided, they just never covered Jamar Chase.
55:34The Steelers have never once decided to cover Jamar Chase.
55:37I don't know if they know he exists. The Steelers have a, have a wide receiver one problem.
55:43The Steelers never cover the best receiver on the other team, which is a bold strategy.
55:47It's so bizarre. I, I, I, DK, we had the inverse, they're the inverse Broncos.
55:52It'd be cool if we had somebody to put on him, maybe like an all pro type corner, but.
55:58DK, as someone who like, at one point I felt like you actually had a strained relationship with your father because of
56:04how your father felt about DK Metcalf on the Sparks.
56:07Oh yeah. This was a classic, classic. So for, if you didn't see the game, late in the game, Jalen Warren had
56:14like a, I don't know, 85 yard run or something to get him to like the five, the yard line.
56:20And, and for no reason at all, it was, it's like the meme where it's like, no one, no one at all.
56:26DK Metcalf fucking strangling a guy for no reason.
56:29The guy didn't even want to make the tackle.
56:32Like he didn't even want to do anything. Um, yeah, I will say.
56:36And then he like scored a touchdown later. And then I was like, this is like classic DK Metcalf where it's like,
56:42he drives you absolutely insane and then scores a touchdown.
56:45He was wide open. I don't know what to feel about this.
56:49He was wide open on the touchdown and I was shocked he caught it.
56:53Yeah. But the, I will say the holding penalty on him was kind of bullshit.
56:57The ref was like 30 yards away and I, I was shocked they called it.
57:02However, he's grabbing shoulder pads on a cornerback that doesn't want to make a tackle.
57:06I don't know. He did this all the time with the Seahawks.
57:10Totally. But he drove people insane. The announcers, they brought in like one of them, Gene or somebody and everybody kind of
57:16agreed it was a really soft call, but I'm, but I'm not letting him get away with it.
57:22DK DK Metcalf. I'm not because this is the type of shit he does all the time.
57:27You know what I mean? He's a bitch. He's a bitch.
57:30He's a bitch. Wrong situation at the wrong time.
57:33Too many times. Yep. I, the, the, the Steelers get also the Bengals.
57:37They should be a little embarrassed that they lost this game.
57:40This is the stat that went around that Joe Burrow, when, when the Bengals are losing and are in the fourth quarter,
57:47what are they there under Zach Taylor? The coach, they're like one in 30.
57:51Um, it was like, it was like five and 60 or something like that.
57:55I don't know. I don't know. If the Bengals are losing in the fourth quarter, they basically never win.
58:01The weird thing is how like Burrow was like awesome.
58:04Other than that fumble. I mean, Burrow played a really good game.
58:07Yeah. Does anyone have a wider Delta in the perception of how clutch they are and how many times they've actually won
58:14a game while losing than Joe Burrow? Yeah. I love Joe Burrow, but like Joe Burrow, it has been years since he
58:20actually came back and won a game. Like it feels like it's been a very long time.
58:25When Rogers is kept clean, you guys got to admit.
58:28You have to admit he still looks. Craig, but you could say that about so many quarterbacks.
58:33If there's no pressure, this guy can make some throws.
58:36Yeah. So can every fucking quarterback. He has like a top seven arm in the league when he's kept clean.
58:42Yeah. And he insists on playing with this style that is like impossible to execute and then no one can execute it.
58:49And then he's like Michael Pittman. And then he's mouthing clearly mouthing.
58:53He's like, this motherfucker sucks ass. I told you he sucks ass.
58:56That was like wide receiver. But yeah. I don't know.
58:59But like, I just, he insists on this style that only like three of his friends can play.
59:05And then it's like, does it work? And then they bring in Mike McCarthy to appease him.
59:10And then it takes two weeks, one loss. And he's like, well, Mike's got to call less shitty plays.
59:15Basically. He's the cause of and solution to all of his problems.
59:19Um, I would like to say we can, we, we don't have to talk, get into the Aaron Rodgers thing.
59:25Darnell Washington is my favorite player in NFL history.
59:27He's so fun to watch. We should be all like, I will do anything to watch him and Scadaboo should just be on the same team.
59:35They need to give Darnell Washington 10 targets a game.
59:38And I'm not, I'm not saying that I'm being a hundred percent serious.
59:42You know, we were just talking about like how the Rams, even though Sertan was there, it's like they figure out, I
59:49think Devonta Adams had like 13 targets today. They should be doing that to Darnell Washington.
59:53The entire game plan should be, how do we get this horse the ball?
59:58Yeah, dude. You can't tackle him. He's a Clydesdale.
60:00I don't think I've ever seen an offensive player that is harder to tackle in my life.
60:05Genuinely. He's scary. Like he defies physics. Yeah. The Bills, is there a reason the Bills should do that?
60:11Every time he catches the ball. They laugh. Everyone laughs when he's running.
60:15Oh my God. It's so ridiculous. It actually is the only time where I'm like actually worried for the health of the defender trying to make the tackle.
60:23I know. He's a, he's a menace out there.
60:26He actually led the team in receiving today. Yeah.
60:29Three catches for 67 yards. Don't you guys feel like you're usually worried for the guy with the ball?
60:34You're like, oh, they're all trying to hit you.
60:37Yeah. And then Darnell has the ball. I'm worried.
60:40I'm like, that linebacker's going to get fucked up.
60:42He, he's really testing the limits of like, how big can you be while still being able to like move and run and be somewhat nimble?
60:50Like he's really pushing that limit. Yeah. He's like a thought experiment.
60:54He's now just an offensive lineman. It's pretty remarkable.
60:56God. Okay. Time for a problem of the day.
60:59Complimentary. Yeah. Who's a, who's a, who's a problem out there?
61:02You know, there's a problem. Jameer Gibbs is a problem.
61:05He's a fucking problem. He's a problem. No, he actually is a problem though.
61:10He is a problem. Wow. Every, everyone in like my drafts who always like spends, it's like you have the first pick
61:16or it's usually an auction when somebody spends like $65.
61:19I'm like, you can have them. And then the season starts and I'm like, that was, that was a fucking steal.
61:25Oh, he's going to score three touchdowns every game.
61:28Jameer Gibbs, 27 touches, 164 yards, three touchdowns. Hat trick, 38 points and a half PPR.
61:33He's the number one running back in the week.
61:36Jameer Gibbs, Jonathan Taylor, Kings of the hat trick.
61:38I mean, the Lions beat the Jets 31, 24.
61:41The Jets kind of blew it at the end, but Jameer Gibbs, all the touchdowns, you know, he had one just kind of standard at the goal line.
61:49He had a third and five screen or that he kind of ran in, but he had one that for like 20
61:56yards out where he just, the play was called one way.
61:59And then the Jets just destroyed the play and blew it up.
62:03And there were like three Jets in the backfield.
62:05And Jameer Gibbs just did the Reggie Bush, planted a foot, and then just outran everyone and just ran to the other
62:12side of the field and scored a touchdown like it was college football.
62:16Which you just don't do. His feet are so quick.
62:19The way he changes direction is so rare. It's him and him and Bijan are both.
62:24It's watching those guys. You feel like you're watching one of the all time best at the position.
62:29I do. It's crazy how quick he is. I mean, Gibbs is, you know, there's just, there's every week, there's some stat
62:36about how Jameer Gibbs is the youngest player to score this many touchdowns, multi-touchdown games, blah, blah, blah, every single week.
62:42But I do feel like between Gibbs and Bijan, and Bijan is a better all around running back because Gibbs is still
62:48kind of the liability and pass protection and Bijan's a great protector and also probably better in the open field.
62:54But I do feel watching Gibbs and Bijan, I feel the way I feel like people probably felt watching Barry Sanders or
63:01watching Walter Payton where I'm like, this guy, even though I've seen all these other running backs, is just on a different plane.
63:08Yeah. It's unbelievable. He, you know, Heivitz, you talk a lot about like, you need explosive weeks to win a week in fantasy.
63:15Like, you need players who can explode. Jameer Gibbs is not even just like your classic, like a James Cook where it's
63:21like, look at 18 points every week. James Cook will literally erupt.
63:25Like, he is one of those players where you know by the second quarter.
63:29Sorry, Gibbs is one of those players where like, you know, by like the second quarter, I was playing against him this week.
63:36He is single-handedly the reason I'm going to lose this week because I was just like, this is one of those games.
63:42Like, they're just going to keep giving the ball.
63:45They have no solution for him and he will get 40 points in fantasy.
63:49They have no one else on their team either.
63:52He's averaging 27 touches a game. I mean, they have like a couple of random guys, NPCs that they will give the
63:59ball to every once in a while. But, yeah, he's incredible.
64:02He's so incredible. I love watching him. He has by far the most receiving yards among all running backs through three weeks.
64:08156 yards. And he's good. He's really good in the pass game, obviously, too.
64:13So, just a special player. DK, who's your problem of the week?
64:16Problem! Dude, JSN, once again, fucking problem. We were just talking about Gibbs.
64:20JSN's averaging more points per game than Gibbs is.
64:23JSN is averaging 30 points a game. Josh Allen is averaging 31 points a game.
64:27JSN is like a cheat code in fantasy right now.
64:30He's ever, he's, I saw this stat. This is incredible.
64:33Two players ever have had 120 plus yards and are receiving, like one plus receiving touchdown through the first three games of the season.
64:40The two players are Jackson Smith and Jerry Rice.
64:43Like, I mean, what he's doing is insane. Obviously, he did this two games with Drew Locke.
64:48Now, Darnold's back and he did it again today.
64:51He's on pace for 2,300 yards and 34 touchdowns.
64:54Is that good? He leads the league and catches yards and touchdowns right now.
64:58He already has, if you stop the season now, he would have better receiving stats than anyone on the entire Jets team last year.
65:05Yeah, he has 405 yards receiving already. That's like what Garrett, that's more than what Garrett Wilson did all like in seven or eight games last year.
65:13And also many other Jets players who played all season.
65:16Like he has, he would have been the best Jets receiver statistically only in three games.
65:21I mean, he has 30 more points than Amon with St.
65:24Brown and Amon with St. Brown's the second best receiver in fantasy.
65:28The whole thing is incredible. I know the Seahawks lost, but I just had to give JSN props because.
65:33What happened with that? Crazy ass game. Why did you lose to Marcus Mariota in Washington?
65:38Dude, well, I went on Ben Standig's pod last week and he was like, he covers the commanders and he was like,
65:45what is the way that the Seahawks lose this game?
65:48And we immediately agreed. It's like the Seahawks make stupid turnovers.
65:51Like that's the way that they make. That's the way they lose this game.
65:55I also will say Marcus Mariota was throwing some fucking dimes.
65:58He was on fire. A couple of touchdowns that he made were really tough throws.
66:03He made a couple of really clutch throws late in the game.
66:06He made the game ceiling run on a keeper.
66:09Yeah, they just couldn't get. They couldn't get the Marcus Mariota offense off the field late in the game.
66:15The Seahawks had a chance to win this game.
66:17They like late in the third, early fourth. I was like, oh, Seahawks are going to end up winning it.
66:23It'll be an ugly win, but they'll win. And then the commanders just kept making plays.
66:28I was actually really impressed with Mariota in particular, but Terry McLaurin was incredible in this game.
66:33The commanders defense made enough plays to kind of put themselves in position.
66:37The Seahawks made a couple of huge errors. Darnold threw two picks and then Janarian Price fumbled.
66:42So three turnovers. It was just a it was like a perfect storm for the Seahawks losing what should have been an
66:49easy win for them against a team with a backup quarterback.
66:52Yeah, Mariota throwing a touchdown to Traylon Burks in 2026 over the Seattle Seahawks.
66:56Yeah. I didn't really see that. Yeah. Yeah. And so, you know, you have to say the Seahawks secondary is really banged up, has been all year.
67:04But this one, they lost Julian Love. He got hurt in practice this week.
67:08So they were especially then there. But that's not an excuse.
67:12They made some really terrible mistakes in this game.
67:14Yeah. They were out gained. Washington was out gained 437 to 258.
67:18They still won. But because the turnover battle was three to zero.
67:22Also, to me, I think the most worrying part with Seattle is they can't run the ball.
67:27Yeah. Like their leading rusher today was Jadarian Price with 15 yards.
67:30Yeah, he fumbled. He fumbled on either the first or the second drive and then they benched his ass until the second quarter.
67:37This whole plan is not made any sense to me either because the idea of we'll wait for Zach Charbonne to come
67:44back for like from the ACL tear he had in February.
67:47Yeah. And like he'll come back for Thanksgiving. It's just a strange plan.
67:51I don't really understand what they're doing at running back.
67:54I agree. But I agree. It was it was a really bad game.
67:58And also that last drive. They just needed to really stop.
68:01They had two chances. They needed Washington to not get two first downs and they couldn't like they give up a terrible
68:08Rashad White getting the first down on 39. They had him dead to rights.
68:12Yes. Yeah, that is brutal. And then the keeper of the call at the end to seal the game was perfect.
68:18But yeah, Mariano played great. He played really well.
68:21But yeah, it was that was that was they should not have lost that game.
68:25No. Craig, who's your problem? Brock Birdie's kind of a problem, dude.
68:29Yeah. Yeah. He's having an insane year. Brock today.
68:31He's like almost perfect. Brock today was the best quarterback in fantasy.
68:35300 yards, four touchdowns, no turnovers. He's the number two quarterback in fantasy on the season.
68:40Ten touchdowns, one turnover. He's also the only quarterback in the league who hasn't been sacked pretty much.
68:45Zero sacks. Zero sacks. He's just like I think he's I think it's Josh out in him right now for the MVP.
68:52He looks so in control. He looks so smart, accurate, athletic.
68:55He had a 40 yard touchdown run today. That was called back.
68:59That was like a really impressive. He just rips the ball to whoever's that.
69:03That was because that was a kiddo thing, too.
69:06And that was kind of a ticky tack. Yeah.
69:08But dude, it's like these Niners receivers are dropping like flies.
69:11Today, the Niners finished the game and the receivers were Debo Samuel, Jacob Cowling, Kaderil Hodge, and Jordan Watkins.
69:17Those were the receivers because Mike Evans went out with a chest injury.
69:21You know, Pearsall, Stripling, Christian Kirk, Demarcus Robinson, all these guys are out.
69:25Their most healthy players, George Kittle, who's 31 and coming off an Achilles.
69:29Coming off an Achilles. And it doesn't matter. Brock Purdy just keeps fucking ripping it.
69:33He is so good. The 49ers are down five receivers and seven defensive linemen in three weeks.
69:38And then Brock Purdy's basically made the Niners offense as good as any team in the NFL.
69:43I agree. The MVP is Josh Allen and Brock Purdy through three weeks.
69:47And I don't think it's actually particularly close between them and everybody else.
69:51Purdy has been incredible. The same reason that I felt that he was not the MVP a couple of years ago because of all the talent around him.
70:00It is unbelievable the level of play he has maintained for this team amid all these injuries.
70:05I mean, it's tough for the nerds. I wish Justin Herbert could ever play as well as Brock Purdy's last three games.
70:11I know. Craig, I think you said it. The way he's under control at all times, I think is really what stands
70:18out to me through three weeks is there's never been a moment where he looks phased whatsoever.
70:23Even when your pressure is coming, like the fact he hasn't been sacked is crazy.
70:27He just finds a way to kind of get out of a play or extend the play, get out of the pocket, run.
70:34You know, I've been calling him a sneaky little shit.
70:37That touchdown run that he had, he was absolutely sneaky little shit.
70:41They got called back. Probably should have just been a touchdown.
70:44But he turned around and threw a touchdown pass to Kittle, I think, on two plays later or something like that.
70:50Yeah. And it's like this is the story of the 49ers.
70:54They just they keep losing guys and they just keep going.
70:57It doesn't seem to like affect them. It's crazy.
71:00It's crazy. It's crazy. They're out of spots on their IR.
71:03Craig was right about this on the season. Craig was right where he was like, nothing matters.
71:08The injuries, Cal Shannon, car crash, none of it matters.
71:11Brock Purdy is great. And it's Craig didn't even go far enough.
71:14This is like the best season Brock Purdy has had to begin a year.
71:19Like, Sheil Kapati had this stat, our colleague Sheil.
71:21The best performance by any player EPA per play this season or EPA per drop back is Brock Purdy this week.
71:28And the second best one's Brock Purdy last week.
71:30He's just so efficient. Four touchdowns, almost 300 yards.
71:33There's so many stats with Purdy right now. And just in every situation, it's second half.
71:38It's third and long. It's explosive passes. It's under pressure.
71:41It's everything. But the thing about it that's crazy is the thing you just said, DK.
71:46The Niners, even by 49ers standards, the injuries are out of control.
71:49And this is a team that at this point, I actually feel like has had five different seasons just wiped out due
71:56to injuries since in the last 10 years. And even by their standards, the Nick Bosa has a calf injury and needs
72:02to go in injured reserve, but they can't put him in injured reserve because you can only activate so many people to return from IR.
72:10And they're like running out of spaces. And then they lose Mike Evans and Trent Williams in this game.
72:15And they're two weeks into two and a half.
72:18They were less than three full games into the season.
72:21And they were like, we can't even put our most expensive defender on IR because we wouldn't be able to bring him back.
72:28It's insane. And look, you can point out that their schedule, they played the sleep deprived Rams and then they played Miami and Arizona.
72:35So it hasn't maybe been the toughest situation. And they're playing Denver and Seattle the next two weeks.
72:40And they're very depleted. So maybe things will feel very differently in San Francisco two weeks from now.
72:46Well, without Trent Williams, without Jacob. Yeah. Without, I mean, they're going to be down a lot of people.
72:52But right now, Brock is playing as good as anybody.
72:55This episode is brought to you by Chevrolet. Hey, Chevy drivers need a truck that shows up the same way they do.
73:01That's why Chevy Silverado is number one in manufacturer loyalty.
73:04So they can go where others won't. Make their own way there and always get it done.
73:09And as long as Chevy people keep showing up, we'll keep building trucks that do the same.

73:30Why wait? DK, any other people a problem? You guys, the Vikings defense is an absolute problem.
73:35Yeah, Flores. Flores is making life absolute hell for opposing quarterbacks so far this year.
73:40They're scoring a ton of points in fantasy. That's the reason I bring it up.
73:44They're averaging 14 points per game. They've had 17 points in each of the last two games.
73:49They're winning people weeks just by having the Vikings defense.
73:5214 points per game is twice as many as Drake May scores every week.
73:56That's crazy. So, in ranks, I didn't check this after Sunday Night Football, so just bear with me.
74:02But in the NFL, the Vikings are first in sacks, first in quarterback hits, first in blitz rate.
74:0767% blitz rate, which is unheard of. The next closest team is 45%.
74:11They're truly out here playing Madden. They are just blitzing.
74:14They're sending it on every snap. It's actually insane.
74:17Their first in EPA per play on defense, first in success rate on defense, second in points per game allowed.
74:23Brian Flores played Madden as a kid. You can tell.
74:26He's a second in points. They're just so, so good.
74:29And this is one of those things where in fantasy, we're going to have to start paying attention to who's playing the
74:35Vikings every week and downgrading them significantly. The Vikings, I mean, it's just they make life so difficult.
74:40And it just seems like opposing quarterback can't really figure out what to do against these guys.
74:46The best way to explain the Vikings is, you know, you can't see the rain when the game's going on.
74:52Like even Rams Broncos, you couldn't really see it was raining, right?
74:55Whenever the Vikings are playing, I'm kind of like, it's raining, right?
74:59Something's weird. Why are they like? I'm watching this Baker.
75:02Baker sucks. And I'm like, God, it must be pouring.
75:05I'm like, nope. 80 and sunny. By the way, the Vikings beat the Bucs 23 to 16.
75:10Made Baker a living hell. Baker versus Kyler. It was kind of disgusting.
75:14Horrible get. Nasty. The Vikings on offense. We don't need to talk about the Vikings offense.
75:18Well, I mean, the Vikings got hurt and it seems a little concerning.
75:22Like, yeah, that didn't seem great. Kyler throws every ball off his back foot.
75:26The entire game plan was like, I'm just going to chuck it to Jordan Addison.
75:31Hope he catches it. They have they don't look good at all.
75:35Yeah. It was funny seeing Kyler and Baker Mayfield play each other.
75:38Obviously, both went to Oklahoma. Heisman number one pick.
75:41And both are short and both now are in the waning era of their athleticism where they can't just run around and make shit up like they could.
75:49So it just looks really sad when they play a team with a better like with an advantage in the line of scrimmage.
75:56Because my God, Kyler and Baker. It's almost like they need to play to break and they need to create shit.
76:02But they just don't have that anymore. It was really ugly.
76:06And something about them playing each other. It was very eye opening about how desperate both their styles are.
76:11And it's cool when it works. But holy shit, it doesn't work all the time now.
76:16Literally, it's unsuccessful. The success rate in this game was one of the lowest combined success rates in years.
76:22And Flores is just absolutely sending it. He's like the defensive coordinator version of Happy Gilmore where he's like, what if I
76:28just wind up and hit the golf ball? I could hit it even farther.
76:32He's like, I'll just blitz seven guys every single play.
76:35He's like the vibe that you get watching a movie like Uncut Gems is like how he is just at all times.
76:42This is how I win. It's like, this is how I get all my money back.
76:47I'm just going to send eight players today. Or whatever.
76:50Yeah, dude. Yeah, dude. What I have is the way you said that the way that you framed it is I thought was perfect.
76:57The way that Baker looks on every drop back.
77:00It's just it looks like a desperation fourth and 10 with the game online.
77:04But it's like every snap. It feels like the way that he plays.
77:08Every play is hard. Yeah. Is it so over for me?
77:11This is my it's so over transition. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
77:14It's so over with them right now. They're 0-3.
77:17Baker dislocated his thumb on his right hand, his throwing hand on the last play of the game or last play offensive play of the game.
77:25Now they have Jalen Daniels, who is an undrafted rookie free agent out of Kansas as their starting quarterback.
77:30Which like what? What's going on there? The backup quarterback is an undrafted kid?
77:35He won the competition. He was the first undrafted free agent to just win a backup job for week one outright in a really long time.
77:42Don't feel good about that. And if only someone could have known that Baker would get hurt.
77:47I wish we had talked about it because, you know, it's one of those like it's weird to talk with the undrafted
77:54free agent rookie winning a backup job. But even when it happened, people were like that.
77:59That is really weird. Yeah. And I wonder if they're going to maybe sign a veteran.
78:04They have to. Yeah. And it's one of those where it's like you feel so.
78:08Well, here's I guess the way I'd say it is this is the shit that happens when Todd Bowles and a coach
78:15know that they are in a short, short, short term situation.
78:18And when you have any semblance of even a medium term future, you would never be like, yeah, plan B is fucking
78:24someone who didn't get drafted this year is insane.
78:27But Todd Bowles is just like living a quarter mile at a time because he's going to get fired if they don't make the playoffs.
78:35There is no long term plan like a long term plan should be what the Bears have, which is you have Tyson
78:41Bajan, who is a guy who knows your offense that is athletic and mobile can move and is not perfect, but it works really hard.
78:49Everyone respects him. And the third quarterbacks case Keenum, who's a goddamn coach who's getting paid to be like a player.
78:55He's mentoring the box having this situation is just just downstream of everyone knows the deal, which is like it's going to
79:01be house cleaning if it goes wrong. I don't know.
79:04This was sad. I think it's tough because last year, I know I for me, at least I chalked up a lot
79:11of Baker's problems to just injuries on the offensive line and injuries that he was fighting through.
79:16But this year ostensibly is like relatively healthy, at least until today.
79:20And he just plays again. He plays every play feels like a desperation fourth and 10.
79:24He has he has the highest pressure to sack rate in the NFL.
79:28Well, let's say Baker's injuries are like Burroughs injuries.
79:31They're a function of how he plays, which I don't be like, it's his fault, but it's a choice.
79:37You got to make the decision to take those hits.
79:40You got to give it to the Bucs for not having an offensive coordinator.
79:44They're not that bad. You know what I mean?
79:47Like for the fact that they don't have plays called.
79:50It's they're not that bad. Like they don't. It's just like pointing to his hand.
79:54Yeah. They don't they don't call plays. I don't know if you guys know that.
79:58It's like the John Mulaney joke, like L.A. Pretty good city for no mayor.
80:03Right. Like that's the Bucs. Not a bad team for no play caller.
80:07It's pretty. It's pretty. You know, it's hard. He just forgot.
80:10He has no idea what his receivers are going to do.
80:13That's hard. They forgot to bring one in again.
80:16That's why they have an undrafted backup. Like, you know what I mean?
80:20The coordinator would have thought of that. Yeah. They have no coordinator.
80:23So you got to give it to him. Can I give you an intrusive thought of the Bucs while we're here, too?
80:30Sure. Did you guys see Baker writhing in pain while he like before you knew it was wrong?
80:35You could hear him screaming. You saw him screaming, right?
80:38Yeah. Thumb. Heifetz. Come on. I'm just saying this is not how I feel out of it.
80:43It's not a take. I'm sure it hurt. My intrusive thought, my unwanted ideation.
80:47He's a bitch. It's a finger. When he was holding the thumb, my unwanted ideation was that was if my fingers hurt.
80:54People are going to make fun of the Caleb thing that that was worse.
80:58I don't feel that way. But my first thought was, huh.
81:01Didn't think. I thought he had broken his clavicle.
81:04Like, I thought he had broken bones. I'm just saying, I'm a bitch.
81:08That's fine. I just thought it was like, considering how much Caleb became a meme all week, I'm like, well, that was pretty similar, if not worse.
81:16I mean, it's a fun take, but because it's Baker is where I push back.
81:21He is like top five toughest quarterbacks in the league.
81:24So if he tells me he's in pain, I believe it.
81:27It's not a take. It was an intrusive thought.
81:30My first thought was he grabbed his thumb. I was like, stop.
81:33What? Wait, he just hurt his finger? Okay. Dude, I got a paper cut on my thumb three days ago, and I can't live my life.
81:41I can't do anything. Legitimately, like my entire life got 20% harder.
81:44I can't do anything. I reached into a travel bag once and accidentally sliced my finger on my razor and hit it
81:51like five little tiny slices, and I think it set me back like a month at my job.
81:56Yeah. Like, I don't know how people... Thumbs, it turns out, really important.
82:00Like, half the reason human beings are the apex predator on the planet.
82:04That was the best part of that Jalen Brunson SNL was they played the video of Josh Hart shoving his thumb up
82:11Jalen Brunson's ass on the day as for winning the title.
82:14Yeah. So anyway, it's over for the Bucs, but I just want to say for literally not having a play caller, they're doing okay.
82:21They don't call plays. Yeah. Another team who does have a play caller.
82:25It is so unbelievably over for the Chargers. It's been over.
82:28I don't know if it's ever been more over.
82:31I hate this team. It quite literally has never been more over than it is right this minute.
82:36I hate them. I don't want anything to do with them.
82:40I hate this professional football team. I hate having Justin Herbert.
82:43I hate having O'Meary and Hampton. It's awful. It's an awful experience.
82:47Everything feels hard. Everything is difficult. And it's awful.
82:49And I don't think they're getting better. I'm out.
82:52I want to sell. I don't care if I lose money on the deal.
82:56I want out. There's a bubble. There's a bubble.
82:59Should that be the episode this week? Sell low.
83:01Buy high, sell low. Sell low. Buy high, sell low.
83:04It's over. Find a new show. The Chargers lost to the Bills by eight points, even though the Bills had five turnovers.
83:11This is like the all-time Chargers-ing. Oh, there's a lot.
83:14There's a lot of Chargers-ing over the years. Heifetz wrote a whole article about it.
83:18They won the turnover battle by four. This isn't a top 20 Chargers loss of the last 15 years.
83:24I'll have you know. I could literally pull up the 20 games.
83:28But this is really bad. Things have never been worse.
83:31They won the turnover battle by four. And they scored 16 points.
83:34This is the stat. This, we really, I want to keep track of this year.
83:39This is the early contender for statistic of the year.
83:42Which is, this, well, I mean, this one came from Evan Abrams.
83:45Since 2013, teams who had five turnovers and won the turnover battle by four are three and 81.
83:51And all three of the teams that lost are the Chargers.
83:54You know what? My response to all this is touche, NFL.
83:57I didn't see this coming. Drake May, Justin Herbert, I didn't see this coming.
84:01You always keep me guessing. I like to think I have a feel.
84:05I was dead wrong. My life ruined this year.
84:08My fantasy seasons are ruined. Because I had no idea that Justin Herbert and Drake May would be a disaster.
84:14And that this Chargers thing is just an absolute catastrophe.
84:17I had no idea. So, kudos. Touche. I feel like we've spent so much time in them.
84:22I don't even want to do it. I do want to shred them a little.
84:27We talked to them so much. They deserve it.
84:29They settled for two field goals. I mean, the Bills started fumble, punt, pick, pick.
84:34The Chargers were good in the first half. The Chargers settled.
84:37Scored, yeah. They settled for two field goals. And they missed one.
84:41So, they're only up 10 to nothing after three turnovers.
84:44The Chargers ran on third and five and then punt, which isn't just about that.
84:48But it suggests that Mike McDaniel either ran on third and five hoping to get five yards or thought they'd go front and forth down and didn't.
84:56Either one's a little concerning. Because I think Ben Johnson and the Bears run for it.
85:01And the Lions used to run for it on third and five all the time.
85:05But they're going to go for it on fourth down as long as they get, like, three yards.
85:11So, you have to be on the same page to do that.
85:14That's concerning. Chargers second and goal at the one.
85:17Got two straight false starts. That was just fucking stunning.
85:20The Bills' new stadium is loud as hell. Quentin Johnson dropped an incredibly, like, the game on the line, season on the line, third down.
85:27That was, like, wide open in his hands. Bread basket.
85:30Really crushing. Joe Ault leads the entire NFL in penalties.
85:33Literally any player, not just linemen. Joe Ault has the most penalties in the NFL.
85:38Sorry to interrupt you, but did you see the graphic that they had during the game where it was, like, Joe Ault?
85:44He's just, like, flexing. Oh, he's, like, going like this.
85:47He's, like, flexing. And then, like, the graphic under him was, like, tied for the NFL lead with six penalties.
85:53I'd be pissed if I did that if I was a player.
85:57They're, like, yeah, just pose. We'll use this for, like, your intro.
86:01And then they're, like, fucking worst player ever. And you look like an idiot.
86:05It's, like, oh, my God. They really fucked you on that.
86:08They're, like, yeah, Joe Ault, you're good enough. Like, there's no negative press about you.
86:13It's fine. You can flex. What's going to happen?
86:15Yeah, flex on. My God. And then, yeah, Brady called Herbert's interception over the middle of Meatballs up, which it was, because Herbert just had safety blindness.
86:23It just didn't see the safety over the middle of the field in the inside.
86:28Why would you look? Yeah, no, it's terrible. And we should move on.
86:32Herbert's a disaster. Hampton's a disaster. Hampton doesn't. Not only is a man Hampton bad in fantasy, a man Hampton does not
86:38look like a special player at all, even when he gets the ball.
86:42Right. Hampton has some of the worst vision in the league.
86:45Hampton. And again, worth reminding you. He's just running into shit.
86:49You know the fig beetles? You know those beetles that, like, they're kind of big and they just run into shit?
86:55That's what O'Marrion Hampton is. He's big, strong, fast.
86:58They don't know where. They're drunk. He's just running into things.
87:01Reminds me of Leonard Fournette a little bit, where I used to call him.
87:05He was like, what are the, you go to the fair and like, you get into the crash cars.
87:11I can't remember what that's called. Bumper cars. Bumper cars.
87:14And they, the way that they like operate is like, you just can go straight.
87:18And then if you like have to turn, you have to like reverse and you go all wonky.
87:24And it's just like, they drive all erratically and stuff.
87:27That's like what he looks like. It really, honestly, Hampton is a lot like the things we have with Fournette.
87:33You're right. I, the, the charges, it's also worth remembering.
87:36Lad's a disaster. Quint Johnson's a disaster. The whole thing's a goddamn disaster.
87:39Yeah. They didn't even want to draft to Marion Hampton.
87:42They tried to trade back with the Eagles at the time.
87:46If pro football talk reported this, the Eagles and charges agreed on a trade and the charges are going to trade back.
87:52And then the Eagles didn't follow the paperwork. So they drafted to Marion Hampton.
87:56And that doesn't mean they didn't like him. No.
87:59Well, they, he was the highest player on the board, but I'm like, yeah, it's, they probably shouldn't have done that anyway.
88:06God. God. Okay. Craig, who's so over? So back.
88:08Gino Smith is kind of so back. You know what I mean?
88:12On the jets. It's a mini. We're so back.
88:15Cause the jets are one in two, but it's not his fault.
88:18Gino Smith looks poised. He looks good. He looks like an adult.
88:22He's, he's, he's ninth in the league in passing.
88:25He already has no, he has no interceptions this year.
88:28Gino Smith through three games. You can make the case.
88:30There's some, if you, if you go through, you could kind of make the argument.
88:35This is the best first three games of a season.
88:38A jets quarterback has ever had. Yeah. That's how good he's playing.
88:42He's fifth in the league in passer rating right now.
88:45Yes. Gino like looks great. And the offensive line looks great.
88:48And they're one in two. There's a lot of bad coaching that that's taken place.
88:52The defenses let stuff up. Gino has been awesome.
88:55Straight up. His touchdown pass. He did fumble away the game today, but.
88:59That's his only turnover of the season. He has no picks.
89:02He has one fumble on the season. The jets could be three and oh.
89:06Very easily. Yes. The jets are playing well. Aaron Glenn is an impediment, but yeah, the Gino things worked way better than we think.
89:13And I was hard on Frank Reich to begin the year, and it's been way better than I thought.
89:19Gino was the number three quarterback in fantasy today behind Brock Purdy and Sam Darmley at 26 points.
89:25Yeah. Kenyon Sadiq might be a thing, you guys.
89:27Kenyon Sadiq looked really good. He had an incredible touchdown.
89:30Yeah. I was super dubious in Kenyon Sadiq. It all it took was sacrificing Mason Taylor into a volcano.
89:36You got to do what you got to do, you know?
89:39But yeah. He dipped his heart out and dipped him into a pit of fire.
89:44Exactly. Put a little. It's like a marshmallow. Get a little crisp on the inside.
89:48You got Kali Mad. God. Another team that's so back.
89:51I think the Browns are so back. They're actually playing very well right now.
89:55The Browns are kind of back. The Browns are two and one.
89:59The Browns are above 500. I kind of love Todd Monken.
90:02He's got some fuck you to him. Yeah. Todd Monken has got some fuck you.
90:07Deshaun Watson's playing like a real quarterback. He ran 11 times to 45 yards.
90:11144 yards, whatever. He had a huge interception reversed on a penalty that he kind of flopped on.
90:16But Watson had two touchdowns. One of Harold Fannin to win the game.
90:20Like, you know, actually rolling left, spinning it, like throwing right, throwing end zone.
90:24Like kind of looked like the old Deshaun Watson.
90:27Like as a runner was pretty good. Like shockingly competent overall.
90:30And the Browns were the Browns. I mean, the defense.
90:33Mason Grant. Defensive tackle that, again, the Browns moved back and got in the Travis Hunter trade, which, again, that it looks
90:40worse and worse as time goes on. But Tej Seth had this great stat.
90:44The Browns pressure price on 30 of 47 dropbacks today.
90:4730 of 47. They're like the Browns won 21 to 18.
90:50It's crazy. Let me ask you this. Just consider this for a second.
90:54Is what is happening right now actually kind of the worst case scenario for Cleveland?
90:59Oh, yeah. You could argue that. Is it not the most Browns thing of all time that just when everyone's like, we're
91:05so fucking done with this guy, Deshaun Watson, get him out of my face.
91:09Oh, it's a great quarterback year in college. Awesome.
91:12We'll just suck for one more year. We got good receivers.
91:15We got a lot to build on. And then Deshaun Watson is going to be kind of decent.
91:21And you're going to go six and 11 and have the 11th pick and just ruin everything.
91:26It's a good point. The Browns, just looking at the people who are playing in this game for the Browns, everyone's so young.
91:33Quinshot Judkins, 22. Raheem Sanders is 23. Harold Fenn is 22.
91:36Casey Concepcion is 22. Denzel Boston is 22. Mason Graham is 23.
91:39Spencer Fano is 21. And it's like, yeah, they probably should have a quarterback that is young and with them in their cohort.
91:46And then, yeah, you're right. Deshaun Watson is going to play well enough.
91:50Imagine if they bring Deshaun Watson back. How weird that would be.
91:54It kind of sucks that right now the Browns fans have to be like talking themselves into coming back around to Deshaun Watson.
92:01Like that's where they are right now. After the game, Deshaun Watson's talking about how he got emotional because he had to
92:07leave for a game because he flopped after he threw a pick.
92:11And then he flopped and got a roughing the passer penalty that flipped the game that Panthers fans are mad about.
92:17But I don't care because there's also crazy face mask on him that they ignored.
92:22But then he left and Shador came in and they went back in and the fans cheered for Deshaun Watson.
92:28And he's like, oh, good. We're all good. Browns fans, email us.
92:31If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. If you're like, screw you.
92:34We have two wins and I'm having a good time.
92:37And I like watching the Browns win. That's totally fair.
92:40But I want to know. I want to know how the vibes are in Cleveland.
92:45I think it's more important to change the culture and change the vibes than to figure out the quarterback right now.
92:51Email us at ringerfantasyfootball at gmail.com. I do want to know what Browns fans think.
92:55It's weird. It's a weird situation. Real quick question.
92:58Good. They deserve that. On the Browns. Do you guys remember Jerry Judy?
93:02He's on the Browns. Well, you know, it's funny when Brady was talking about how Jackson Smith and Jake was super power is like keeping his shoulders level.
93:10All I could think of is how Jerry Judy is the worst player in the NFL at that.
93:16Jerry Judy is still playing for the Browns. I just wanted to make that clear.
93:20I hate Jerry Judy as much as there are very few players I hate that have done like, well, I just hate him.
93:27I hate Jerry Judy. How did he? What did he do today?
93:31He had nothing. He sucks. What did he do?
93:33Finished dead last? He has 26 yards on the year.
93:36I actually hate him. I hate Jerry Judy. It's okay that because no one drafted him, but I just wanted to point
93:43out that he's actually still technically on the team.
93:45Sometimes I think about being wrong on Jerry Judy in the past and then I remember, you know who else was wrong?
93:52John Elway. Yeah. Which makes me feel better. All right.
93:55Let's get serious here. Two years ago, Jerry Judy had 90 catches, 1,200 yards.
93:59Craig, it's time for America's Favorite Segment. Fart or Shart?
94:02DK, let's go to Houston where David Montgomery is absolutely ruining my life and the lives of millions.
94:08David Montgomery disguised his mediocrity in week one by scoring three touchdowns.
94:11And since then, he has 60 yards rushing. And that's about it.
94:15The Texans lost today in 1917. They fell to 0-3.
94:18Today, David Montgomery had 11 rushes for 33 yards.
94:20And he's irrelevant now, really, in fantasy. So, DK, I ask you, David Montgomery, fart or shart?
94:25I think it's a shart because I don't see this offensive line getting any better.
94:30I totally agree. He's averaging 2.8 yards per carry.
94:33He's averaging 35 yards rushing a game. Oh. The other thing that makes it hard, too, is that Woody Marks is playing quite a lot.
94:40So, not only is he not picking up any yards and not doing anything of note other than that first game when
94:47he scored three touchdowns, he's losing a lot of snaps to Woody Marks.
94:51And he doesn't have, like, a goal line role.
94:53They're just kind of, like, rotating drives. And it's going to be just really hard to trust him week in and week out.
95:00Basically, like, plugging him into your lineup. I think you absolutely can bench David Montgomery.
95:05And I think if you have any options that seem better, they probably are.
95:09Again, the Colts had given up 1,000 yards in two weeks, which hadn't happened in like 10 years.
95:14And the Texans really struggled to move the ball on them today.
95:18I was incredibly disappointed by Houston overall today. I think this is shart, too.
95:22I agree. All right. Who you got? There's a couple other names here that I would like you to pick.
95:28Let's do a rapid fire fart or shart. There's some smells here.
95:31There's some smelly situations. Can we do a lightning round fart or shart?
95:35Sure, sure. It's either going to be, very quickly, fart or shart.
95:39Okay. Pet McMillan, two catches, 17 yards today. Fart.
95:42Okay. That's all. He's been good in the first two games.
95:45This one was just against a really good defense that held him to do nothing.
95:49Every running back on the Packers. Shart. Are any of them a fart?
95:53No, they're all sharts. The Packers run game is a shart.
95:57Yeah. The offensive line is not fixable. Jadarian Price on Seattle.
96:00Fart or shart? Ooh. I fear it's a shart.
96:03I want to spend just a little bit of time on this because I think it is important.
96:08He's obviously a first round pick. We had high expectations for him coming in.
96:12He now has lost two fumbles in three games.
96:15This was a big issue for him in college.
96:17This was one of the reasons he was playing behind Jeremiah Love a lot of the time.
96:23Obviously, Jeremiah Love, super talented. But he was losing key fumbles in key situations.
96:27The Seahawks, by the way, lost one fumble all of last year, and it was by George Helani.
96:32They did have like three total or something like that from their running backs.
96:36And so this is a huge problem. They benched him after he lost his fumble until the second half.
96:42And I get, you know, like at the end of the day, he's averaging four points a game.
96:47And Zach Charbonnet is coming back soon. So this is tough.
96:51And last but not least, we hit on him before, but Omerian Hampton for the Chargers.
96:55Fart or shart? This one to me is not as egregious, but it's kind of a shart.
97:00He's this is now a full blown running back by committee.
97:04Kamani Vidal was in in this game. He's not catching any passes.
97:07I think he has like two catches this year.
97:10Hampton does. And he doesn't look very good. And the Chargers are disaster.
97:14And the Chargers have an incredibly difficult schedule. So I'm very worried.
97:17Other than that, he's great. Yeah, I'm very worried.
97:20A real poo poo platter across the board today.
97:23These are his names. Okay. We only had one fart.
97:26And we had four sharts, one fart. Not great.
97:28Drake Mays is probably a fifth shart. Yeah. A lot of sharts.
97:32We'll get to him later in the episode. Intrusive thoughts.
97:35Craig, what are your intrusive thoughts today? Look, for as much as I enjoy watching football, and they've done a great job
97:42figuring most of it out, I do think there is one fatal flaw that pisses me off every time I see it.
97:48And it is the underthrown deep ball that inevitably causes a defensive pass interference.
97:52I think it's just like a bug in the system.
97:55And I hate it. And it happened again today.
97:58It happens almost every week. And it's like, the corner doesn't know what to do.
98:03He's just chasing a receiver who has to slow down because it's a severely underthrown ball.
98:07He runs into him, PI, 40 yards. And I just hate it.
98:11I hate watching it. It's kind of like- The Joe Flacco special.
98:14It's kind of like rear-ending a car is always your fault, except if the law was to like, you were supposed to chase cars or something.
98:22You know what I mean? It's like- Get as close to the car as you can.
98:27But don't touch it, idiot. Like, it's kind of insane.
98:30You're like, tailing it as close as possible. Yeah, and they could slam on the brakes at any time.
98:36And if they do, it's your fault. Yeah, it's just- It is insane.
98:40I just hate- I don't know. It really bothers me.
98:43I'm like, we have to figure this out. I wish that- Yeah, you're right.
98:47They need to figure something out with that. They should just not call it.
98:51It's all right. If they try, they would just write a rule that would then be like completely spun off into a
98:57direction that none of us saw coming. It would just ruin the sport for a year.
99:02So that would be cool. DK, any intrusive thoughts?
99:05I don't know if this is an intrusive thought or just like a real thought.
99:09I feel like teams should run the hook and ladder like four or five times a game.
99:14Why is there not more hook and ladders? Because coaches are afraid.
99:18I've yet to see a hook and ladder fail.
99:21I know. It's so true. It's like, worst case, it's like four yards.
99:25That's not true, obviously. They're unprepared. Yeah. I don't know.
99:28The 49ers- Debo and Mike Evans, yeah. The 49ers ran a hook and ladder early in the game.
99:33By the way, Debo, this is a weird stat.
99:36Debo had 80 yards and a touchdown, and he had zero catches, which is like the most yards of a receiver ever without a catch.
99:43Yeah. So it's pretty sweet. That's a weird quirk.
99:46Roger Sherman had that, by the way. The hook and ladder thing, it is like Kelsey just, again, the coolest play ever
99:52that Kelsey should have beaten the Chiefs. The Chiefs should have beaten the Bills in that Kelsey hook and ladder play, and then Kadarius Tony was offside.
100:00And you guys were like, oh, I'll take you to.
100:03I'm like, he was on the other side of the football.
100:07He has one job. Let's re-litigate that. It was so funny to me.
100:11But the flip side, but you're right about the hook and ladder thing, because the other part of this that no one
100:17does anymore is that when we were kids, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed would practice.
100:22They would do hook and ladders on defense. Unlike interception.
100:25Like, they would lateral the ball. Like, Ed Reed would get a pick six, and they would fucking lateral it to Ray
100:31Lewis and all these other guys in the Ravens defense.
100:34And it worked every time. And every time the Ravens got the ball, they scored like half the time they scored a touchdown.
100:41And then no defense has ever been authorized by a coaching staff to ever do that ever again, even though it worked for the Ravens half the time.
100:49I feel like there's maybe, you know, seven or eight hook and ladders a season.
100:54Maybe it's more. Maybe it's like 15. But that's, you know, I'm like, there should be.
100:59That should be a big part of the game plan, like a screen pass.
101:03We're just running a hook and ladder. Yeah. Ben Johnson messed around.
101:06He does it quite often. Yeah. Yeah. They're good.
101:09Yeah. Ben Johnson will do it to get like eight yards on 36.
101:13A lot of people do it on third and long.
101:16But I'm like, you just do that on first down.
101:19Yeah. I don't know. They can't stop it. Flex category here.
101:22The Colston Loveland cut corner. I would like to announce Jaguars 135 to six.
101:26And surely you would check the box score and think, well, Brian Thomas must have had at least 10 receiving yards, right?
101:33Nope. One catch for eight yards in the game that Jacksonville won by 29.
101:37Was he hurt in this game? Did he get hurt?
101:40No, he just sucks. He played 30. I think I saw he played 35% of snaps.
101:45He played actually fewer snaps than Josh Cameron. Yeah.
101:48Josh Cameron. Who has now scored two touchdowns in his short NFL career.
101:52He's a rookie from six round rookie. It's yeah, it's it's pretty much it's Joe over with Brian Johnson.
101:57I don't know what's going on there. They should have traded him in the offseason.
102:02I think Brian Thomas, but Brian Johnson. Yeah. Brian Johnson's new thing is he's learning.
102:06He's going to dunk. You guys, did you see this?
102:09Yeah. He was like, I can't live forever, so I might as well just dunk.
102:14He's lowering the bar slightly from living forever to dunking.
102:17Yeah. Equally impossible for him. But I'm into it.
102:19He'll have equal success. If you could dunk, I feel like you could die happy.
102:24Man realizes he'd rather dunk than live forever. It's like, I can't believe it took him 50 years to realize that shit.
102:30Okay. Best quote of the day. Craig, did Brady say anything weird?
102:34Brady in a very self-aware manner said miss pistol instead of piss missile because piss missile is inappropriate to say on a broadcast.
102:41So he, after a great throw by Josh Allen, maybe it's not like illegal, but perhaps frowned upon.
102:46I don't know. Yeah. Said miss pistol. And I, he actually like handled it in a way that wasn't annoying.
102:52And I was like, okay. Do you think he realized that he's still saying piss?
102:57Piss, like you say, it can't say piss because piss missile.
103:00So you say miss pistol. Like he's still saying piss.
103:03Yeah. But he's not saying, he's not saying piss.
103:06He's saying piss. Which is a fake word. I know it's piss.
103:09It's right there. Which is a fake word. Yeah.
103:12But you know, some, some, some words, the first half of the word is a bad word.
103:17But if you pair it with the second half of the word, it's no longer a bad word.
103:22Perhaps. I just made I have a yawn with my miss.
103:26Piss. Yeah. That's fucking so boring. Christ. That's how bored Brady was watching Justin Herbert.
103:30He's like, I'm going to say miss pistol. Just call it.
103:33Well, so I, I gotta, I gotta bring a celebration of the weekend.
103:37I gotta go. NFL was fine. They took Jamar Chase's, you know, fake people elbow thing out.
103:42We have to talk about the Texas game. Colin Simmons is this great pass rusher for Texas.
103:47Did a sack celebration over the weekend. Did you guys see this?
103:51Yeah. Yes, I did. It's actually the wildest one I've ever seen.
103:55Speaking of a piss missile. He pretended to take, he took, he sacked the quarterback, pretended to take his dick out and piss on the quarterback.
104:02And then he raised his hands when he got a flag.
104:06Like, what? And then he's like, whoa, whoa, what did I do?
104:09What did I do? I, I, I. DK Metcalf level play right there.
104:13We should, we were joking. We should rebrand. We should rebrand this.
104:17We should be like, no, he's watering the garden.
104:19I mean. Whipping your dick out and piss. He literally mimed, unzipping, grabbing his dick, holding it with two hands and pissing everywhere.
104:26Isn't there a, aren't these, aren't some guys now doing it where they score and they like mime, like hitting it from the back?
104:33Isn't that a celebration right now too? Even that is more subtle than taking your dick out and then holding it while
104:40you piss on the guy's prone, writhing dead body.
104:43I love this, like the like underground, like, like group of people that are, of these players like figuring out ways to
104:49have inappropriate celebrations to get back at the leagues.
104:52I think it's so, it's like seeing what they can get away with.
104:56There's like a whole system. Later in the Texas game, the running back did what I believe is Gooch swiping himself, like,
105:02like grabbing his balls, smelling it and passing out onto the ground.
105:06Did you see that one? No. Yeah. He like grabbed his balls.
105:09What? And then he smelled it. That's a celebration.
105:12And then he like fell backward onto the ground, which I assume everyone says on the team says his balls smell.
105:18I don't know. No, he's doing Mary Catherine Gallagher.
105:21That's all. It's just, I don't know. I have no idea what's happening in the Texas locker room.
105:26Being a college coach must be so fun. Even T Higgins, like hearing T Higgins explain to people's elbow as if they're
105:33not like just trying to drop dick with the arm.
105:36And I'm like, man, these guys are just 22 and you're trying to do all this scheming and all this stuff.
105:42And the guys are just like, man, I got an idea.
105:46I'm going to take my dick out and piss on the court.
105:49I'm going to unzip my pants. All they think about is like, what am I going to do if I score or do something cool?
105:57Like, what is my move? Fuck the game plan.
105:59Like, I just was trying to get in the end zone so I could piss on my son.
106:05This is like, we're wondering why Jeremiah Love didn't even know who Jared Goff was.
106:09Yeah. I think Jeremiah Love did the hitting it from the back when he scored today.
106:14Dude, I, you know, it's funny because what it really comes down to, I swear to God, is what the NFL owners get mad about.
106:21Like the peace sign with Tyree Kill, that became a thing because the Giants owner, John Marrow, was mad that he did that.
106:28And so they added it. But I do think none of these men are going to figure out what any of these things mean.
106:35Yeah. All right. Worst coach decision of the day.
106:38Domeika Ryans pulled an Aaron Glenn. Uh-oh. And Domeika Ryans didn't get any shit for it because Domeika Ryans is really hot
106:45and nobody wants to make fun of him. But I just don't understand why these defensive coordinators cannot manage the clock.
106:51What happened? Tell us what happened. The Texans. So, well, I'm glad you asked, DK.
106:55Okay. I demanded, really. I didn't even ask. Colts have the ball at midfield.
107:00There's over a minute left. And the clock's running down.
107:03And Domeika Ryans waits 36 seconds to call a timeout.
107:06Literally burns 36 seconds. And then the Colts end up kicking a field goal to go up two points.
107:11So now the Texans get the ball back with down two points.
107:15And the Texans have 16 seconds. And if their head coach had just called a timeout earlier, the Texans would have had like 51 seconds.
107:22And instead of 51 seconds, they had 15. So you know what happened?
107:26The Texans lost because they had to throw a fucking Hail Mary.
107:30The Texans have Kaimi Fairbairn, who is their kicker, who can make a kick from the 50-yard line.
107:35All they would have had to do is get 51 seconds to get to the 50-yard line.
107:40And instead, they had 15 seconds and they couldn't even get to their own 50 because their coach didn't realize they would
107:47need 36 seconds left or decided they wouldn't. And it's one of those things where you're kind of like, what do these people do all week?
107:55They're just game planning. And they don't even like, I truly don't understand how there is a scenario where the clock is
108:01ticking and they could not be like, hey, Domeika, we need a call timeout right now.
108:06Or he's just like, oh, great. I don't get it.
108:09But these defensive coordinators, the defensive coordinator brain, where they just want their defense to win the game.
108:14And maybe he's thinking, we'll just get a sack and they won't be able to kick a field goal at all.
108:21But it is unbelievable how little thoughts some of these teams spend on clock management at the end.
108:26It is crazy that once a week, there is an egregious coaching clock mismanagement.
108:30Yeah. Yeah. I just, I don't know. I wish I had something more eloquent to say than it's sometimes their football, it's
108:37so much more complicated and they put more thought into it than you could ever think about things like, like how to
108:43stop a run, like how, how are, which defenders go to which place in a run?
108:48There are four hour arguments coaches could have about this.
108:51And then it's like, should we call a timeout with a minute left?
108:55And they're like, who knows? I, I, I, it's like how the CIA can't get enough staplers in the building.
109:01I just, you know, it's, it's the duality of man.
109:04Also, Hyphens, we, we have a crossover of the century because we, you know, we have the Colston Loveland cut corner, but
109:10then we also have the two tight ends who outscored Kyle Pitts and they're, they're kind of merged this week because the
109:17Falcons scored 35 points and beat the Packers on Thursday night football.
109:21And the Falcons have like 500 yards of offense.
109:23Surely Kyle Pitts had a lot of yards. Surely Kyle Pitts did anything and you'd be wrong.
109:28Cause he had one catch for five yards. Surely Kyle Pitts had more than one point.
109:33No. Oh wait, Michael Panix is back and they scored 35 points.
109:37Surely he, he, he's worth having on my team this year.
109:40You're wrong. Yeah. It was hard to even get too tight into how to score Kyle Pitts in a lot.
109:46Cause Kyle Pitts was the 50th ranked tight end this week.
109:49One, 32 teams. Kyle Pitts on the season has 20 yards and two catches.
109:53Two tight ends who outscored Kyle Pitts in a lot.
109:56Josh Cuevas, Elijah Higgins and Drew Sample. Josh Cuevas?
109:59Is he real? He's like the third, third tight end on Baltimore.
110:03You see a grip on SNL? Who knows? Elijah Higgins is on the Cardinals.
110:07Who's the other guy? Drew Sample's on the Bengals.
110:10Oh, Drew Sample's sure. I guess I'll take Cuevas who I didn't know existed.
110:14No, he outscored Kyle Pitts. He did. That's just so funny.
110:17It's just too good to be true. Kyle Pitts on the season is, I actually had to double check this.
110:23Cause I was like, I actually didn't know if this could like literally be true.
110:27Cause it sounds impossible. Kyle Pitts on the season is the 60th ranked tight end.
110:32Kyle Pitts has three points in the entire year.
110:35Is he the most annoying player of all time?
110:37I think. Yeah. Dude, this dude has. Cause he's somehow convinced us to be like interested in him for like years and years and years now.
110:45It seems like decades. Kyle Pitts almost had a thousand yards receiving.
110:49He had 88 catches last year. The best take I had that I abandoned was I had a tattoo last year that said, don't rank Kyle Pitts.
110:57Do not put him in the top 200. And that turned out to be the best fantasy advice we could have given
111:03this year is don't even fucking rank the guy.
111:06What's his stat line? How many catches? On the entire season.
111:09He had three games. Two catches for 20 yards.
111:12Three games. In three games. He was drafted before Jamar Chase.
111:15Yes. That is literally a fact. I mean, and look, I, I loved him and I just, it's just so frustrating.
111:21He's the most annoying player in, in all of football.
111:24So maybe ever. DK, this is a really, would you say he's good?
111:28No. What? I don't know. No, he looks really.
111:31He looked. He looked better last year. He looked pretty good.
111:34He had three good games. No, this is the problem with the averages.
111:38He had three good games. And one really, really, really good game against the Bucs.
111:43$4 million deal this summer. Well, they're fucking stupid.
111:45They shouldn't have done that. This is crazy. 36 million guaranteed.
111:49So this is a really big week for the burn book.
111:52So the burn book, last two weeks, we burned AJ Brown week one.
111:56There's never been an easier burn book. This is the easiest one of the season.
112:00There's a, there's a, there's a lot of competition.
112:03Kyle Pitts, one catch for five yards. Brian Thomas had one catch for eight yards.
112:07Brian Thomas is not playing for me. This book is named after Kyle Pitts.
112:12Kyle Pitts is not on any starting rosters. Neither is Brian Thomas.
112:15So you want to burn who I'm thinking of?
112:18We're burning Drake May. Yeah. Yeah. We're obviously burning the guy who almost won the MVP last year, who was averaging four points a game in fantasy.
112:26Is that bad? I can't, I can't talk. Kyle Pitts.
112:29I can't say anything right now because I literally just said he was a buy low, but it is a buy low because it's never been lower.
112:37It's free. He's an even buy lower now. If you believe in Drake May, like wholeheartedly, then he can't be in the burn book.
112:44A burn book is burned to us. Don't believe in him wholeheartedly anymore.
112:48I did coming into this game. This was a tough one.
112:51It's hard to come back from that. The fact like what Heifetz said, I think you said he's broken.
112:57Like I had that a couple of times today.
113:00I was like, oh, he's actually really not good anymore.
113:03Like his shoulder might just be worse than we thought the whole time, the whole year.
113:07Yeah. If he's hurt, that would be the good example.
113:10But I think Drake May is the story of the season in terms of like you can talk about all of the
113:17Josh Allen and Brock Purdy or Jackson. But like the negative story of the season is Drake May in fantasy bar none.
113:24I think probably true. I think it's Love Loveland.
113:26They were in the Super Bowl. The problem with Drake May is that if you're a Patriots fan, you now hope it's
113:33a physical issue because if there's nothing physically wrong with the shoulder, then he has mentally regressed to the point where there
113:39is like a huge problem with his development or that he was never actually that good as it seemed.
113:45And last year was kind of an illusion and a lot of really luck, a huge luck on deep passes.
113:51It's but it's, it's, it's like you almost hope that something's wrong with the shoulder because at least that could heal.
113:57Drake May has one passing touchdown this year. He has one.
114:01I mean, he has, I mean, dude, I, he has six interceptions.
114:04He has seven turnovers in one touchdown. Travis Hunter's caught more passes from Drake May than Trevor Lawrence.
114:10Dude, on passes over 20 yards downfield, Drake May's got one, one completion and three interceptions.
114:14Oh wait, no, that's Justin Herbert. Sorry. Honestly, Drake May.
114:17Our big, our big talented boys are not doing well right now.
114:21All right. Block heads. Drake May had 3.7 points today.
114:243.7. I know. I don't use any decibels. 3.7 today.
114:27All right. We'll burn Drake. But Drake May, you're in the burn book.
114:31Two Patriots. Bummer. Two Patriots. Oh God. Two out of three.
114:34Fits. All right. Thank you, DK. Thank you, Craig.
114:37Thank you, Cam. Thank you, Nikhil. Thank you, Austin.
114:39Thank you for listening. Email us at ringerfantasyfootballatgmail.com. Browns fans, I want to know how you feel.
114:45How are you doing? Email us fantasy courts for Power Hour.
114:48We record this Tuesday. We'll litigate. We'll settle what's going on in your group chat.
114:52Email us trivia questions. Yeah. Thank you, Lauren. Lauren.
114:55Lauren, 80s month. I believe I'm up. Yeah. I'm going with Everybody Have Fun Tonight by Wang motherfucking Chung.
115:01Wow. Good call out. You know that tune? Oh yeah.
115:04Wang Chung. I don't know that one. Hi, Fit?
115:06I don't know if I'm looking it up. I don't know.
115:10You'll know it. What? You'll sing it. It couldn't sound more.
115:13When you play the song, it sounds like you're walking to a club in 1983.
115:17Give me a go. Everybody have fun tonight. Everybody have fun tonight.
115:21Everybody Wang Chung tonight. Everybody. Everybody. And you would think to yourself, Wang Chung, where's this band from?
115:26They're English. They're from London. Yeah. Everybody have fun tonight.
115:29Everybody Wang Chung tonight. They also do the song To Live and Die in LA, which is the theme song of the
115:36movie To Live and Die in LA. And that is also a crazy 80s sounding song.
115:41It was also the beginning song of the John Mulaney talk show.
115:44If you watched that. I did. Does that ring a bell?
115:48This all is very 80s. Yeah. Bill, when we did To Live and Die in LA, Bill had a section where he
115:54talked about Wang Chung, and I don't know why it always stuck with me because he went, Wang, motherfucking Chung.
116:00And now that's like the only way I say that band's name.
116:04It's good. It's good stuff. All the comment. I'm watching this and people are saying that the song made it into Grand Theft Auto 6.
116:11Oh. Wait, which one? What song did you just say?
116:14Everybody have fun tonight? Everybody have fun tonight. Oh, nice.
116:17It's on the soundtrack for GTA 6. I don't know how people know that.
116:21I guess it came out. I wish we didn't get sued by playing music because it would be so awesome if every
116:28outro of this could just be the song. God, can you imagine?
116:31If Wang Chung was taking us out? Someday, Craig.
116:34Someday. Get in touch with us, Mariah, et cetera.
116:37Yeah, we just have to develop personal relationships with every band on earth.
116:41Yes. So that they would allow us to license their music for free.
116:45They want to have us do that. It becomes undeniable as a marketing opportunity for them.
116:49That's the goal. Wang Chung. Goodbye, everyone. 21 plus and present in select states for Kansas in affiliation with Kansas Star Casino
